Were adamson it or let it go and would or should brighten it. It's it's really versatile. The facility is thought to date back five thousand years to the age of our of king. Narmer i think i'm saying that right. Who unified egypt and founded the first dynasty there The interesting thing is this burris was known to exist in the early nineteen hundreds but they didn't have any idea exactly weren't was they just found out of it so they found it and The the exact location and they know that the site consists of eight large areas for beer production. Each of those areas had four forty earth aware pots arranged in two rows and there were vats for heating. It rains and water together. Archaeologists estimate that two thousand twenty two thousand four hundred liters or five thousand nine hundred seventeen gallons or about one hundred. Eighty eight barrels of beer could be produced a single time there so mass production mass production. O'brien i actually copied that. Lincoln linked in and travis rupp the beer archaeologists. We had on our show in two thousand nineteen. He commented on it and share some additional information about what he thought. They may have brewed there. He said probably a huge variety of beers and he talked about a lot of the ancient grains to brew so pretty exciting information there. He was very excited about the file. Yeah and they think it was probably used for royal ceremonies in that quantity would probably wasn't just for the average joe but who knows. I mean. This is five thousand years ago. It's amazing. They found that so. Probably the most bizarre news of the week a los angeles health inspector was caught on the camera dancing in a brewery immediately after ordering the owner to close the burri down for covid violations. Here's the thing. Bravery brewery was not in violation of any regulations and this happened on super bowl sunday while the brew was pouring draft beers to go. It's a really bad look. There's a video of the incident on the daily mail and it kind of looks like the a crummy end zone dancer. A celebration dance by this. The health. inspector Yeah so. The boss called and apologised after the fact but Yeah there you go crazy stuff. While you're listening to bear guy's radio show we do need.

"My the beer I drink is called Kirby K o B. E. With an animal out over the old but nice little cold pilsner that I've had on occasion. But yes, and the only reason that I was made aware of it, it's the owners Listen to the station, and they just left school happened to cc me on these Emails and the challenges and struggles they've been having with the local government, the state government about getting financial assistance about having to spend tens of thousands of dollars on tents, outdoor tables and chairs and, you know heaters and then then there shut down the next week. Then they're open for four days and they're down. Government ought to be working with these businesses. Not again. You're right. They would apply the equity metric to small businesses and treat them as a vulnerable population. It might might make things a little better, but I should also have a wall of farm animals for giving up their lives. Mark. Mark, please. That's just over time. Not such a bad idea. So I'm glad that Mark understands the tenets of journalism, though. All right, let me tell you I wrote a couple of the tenants of journalism by the way, and then I rewrote them. "It's got my show. Mark Thompson's with us. It's Tuesday, and also Steve Gregory is with us. I got a story rolling out in Lancaster and Steve, This isn't just a you know Another brewery. I think this is the oldest brewery in Lancaster is not true that I do not know. No, no, I do not know all he knows they've been there for a while, and they're very popular and there Very good people up there. I've been up there a few times and they're very, very nice people. But why would a woman or a man or anybody get pleasure since and shutting a guy down on Super Bowl Sunday at the you know, after 11 months of trying to scramble just to stay alive. Don't know. And I don't know what her motive was. I can only tell you that this is part and parcel to a lot of the complaints. I'm getting from business owners and restaurant owners about inspectors coming in having a bit of a god complex and coming in. Knowing they have the total power on then some of these restaurants that have been just like repeated targets of the health department where it's like I remember when Barbara for rare County Health Department director said, You know when I say Why is this happening that hammer because, well, we have 33,000 licensed restaurants in L. A county. And she says, You know, it's not. It's not easy to get to all of them like, well, no, because they're fixated on 20 of them, and they keep going back to these 20 over and over and over and over and over. And you know, and I think what happens is that you've got a lot of pushback from restaurant owners because they're like, you know, we've had it and you know, it's what happened with Tin Horn flats in here in Burbank. The place up in Agoura Hills. I think, um I can't remember the name of that place up there. But He was defiant of that also, and and I think that's what was going on with the county. The county is like, you know, they're not gonna back down. They're gonna put all their time. Money and resource is into teaching these people a lesson. Yeah, And this is it's a very convenient brewery to its right off the 14 where the Costco is out there. Yeah, right down from the right around the corner from Costco, right and what's really great. Is. If you have anybody at Kaiser Permanente, that as an appointment, you can drop him off there, walk across the street and get tanked. Then go back and pick him up something like that. That's exactly right now or if you're you know you're going to visit it like Let's say you're going to visit a family member at the hospital. And you don't be bummed out. You want to get a buzz before you go in there You go to bravery Brewery and, you know, knock back a dozen and then go, you know, stumble across the street and visit somebody at the hospital before you have a colonoscopy. Let's say after or after here because you have it before the doctor gets really pissed. Like there's one guy. I'm not gonna say who he is. But if I if I named his pizza place and him, you would know But I was having a colonoscopy and this guy comes in to the front desk goes. Hey, I'm here for my colonoscopy. And they're like, are your scheduled for next week. You don't know if I let me do it today, And they said, Well, if you had anything to eat, because he had a couple of pieces of pizza an hour ago, and like no, no, no, no, no. No, sweetheart, we're not. We're not, you know, trying to dig through your feces to try to see how your colon mark God, I knew it. He said I was having a colonoscopy that nothing good was gonna come after the next 90 seconds. You believe that idiot? Oh, what's his name again? I'm not gonna say anything. Come on, bones, and I'll tell you off the air. He owns a big guy. Chain of pizzerias. Shakey's Mama John Shaky, Mr. Shaky, Papa. John Stump up a job. All right, Stevo. So do we know the name of this woman or is that jeez man didn't really name isn't there any way we could, doctor and maybe, uh, protest in her house and drive her to another state? I don't know. Mark. You support what she did. No, I don't. But I also job. So this culture now I what we do is we just drive everybody to like to know they for years now they've got to go toe l a actually catch a plane to Indonesia. The only folks I can find any peace and quiet. Why Indonesia? It's great that, um All right. Do we know anything about her? I want to say your name She makes about 104,000. I think 15,000. She worked primarily in Lancaster. I think that's her beat up there. I think they all have, like, beats their little routes that they cover. And I think that was John John and camera. Tell me that back in 2015. They checked And she was making a little over $100,000 a year in 2015, So she's probably up to about 100 20 by now, Right? But also, I'm sure they're gonna make this a tic tac video or people gonna try to, you know, re create the dance. Yeah, it's already starting. And then here's the weird thing. Because, you know, you guys get hit up all the time from people that want to come on the show. They're pushing a book or something like that. So I swear to you and I have the email right here. Get any meal today that I was CC'd on from a psychologist using this story to talk about the psychology of power hungry government. Okay, employees. Oh, that's great. She's selling herself to go to on all these shows to talk about. Government employees and they're and they're being drunk with power. It's really weird. Now. Let me ask you. How many hits have you gotten me into? This story is international. Let's see when I last checked, the impressions were 1.5 million. Wow. So there's a certain irony here. Steve isn't there that she's done well for every other business, which is sort of just lifted by this story. And you know Hannity's I never having everybody on and you know you've achieved a new level of notoriety, and yet she was driving. There's one group of people who are screwed, and it's the business that she closed out. I don't understand what you mean. I mean, don't you feel a little guilty about that is what I'm saying. Hey, hey. Whoa. Why would I feel guilty about exposing something like that? Right now? You got exposed the idiots out. Of course, Ugo Right now. I have 300,000 views on the Twitter and Wow, the now the impressions are 1.6 million. Who's got the God complex? Now? Isn't that Hey, Bob. That's the question. Isn't that the brewery that has the wall of bravery? Somebody just text me that. Yes, it's the one that's got all of the The people who died in the line of duty or veterans. There's a whole wall dedicated to them and big American flag. And it's the one that R. Lee Ermey co founder. Yeah, the actor, and so that's why there's like there's a gunny Here..

"Super Bowl Sunday and told them they had to shut down. Well, she was wrong. They did not have to shut down because all they were doing is doing draft beer to go in Growlers, which was totally allowed. They didn't have a food truck. Inspector got confused and thought they needed to have a food truck. But they didn't And in fact, she eventually admitted she was wrong. And a supervisor called the next day to apologize. But here's the cherry on the bitter cake. For bravery brewery After going through that hassle, one of the owners went and looked at the security footage, and apparently, this health inspector was seen dancing. In the place after delivering the bad, erroneous news that they had to close. I wonder if that's worth terminating. If if you could terminate up just for doing that. I don't know if it's a city health Inspector County health inspector. Yeah, probably not. All you do is you get a reprimand for that part of the problem is you have to prove like the idea is, Was she celebrating that she had just you know, delivered this bad news? Nobody can be sure why she started dancing. So she could just say, Hey, it had nothing to do with the fact that I was there to deliver bad news. Or, she argues under the A, D. A. She has epilepsy and They just They just misunderstood. That's unfair to people with that condition. You apologize. I apologize. My friend Brian suits is Bart from bravery. Brewery hit me up. Because this is of greatest importance. We should do it on the air. This beating about about breweries, Cancer food, They can't be opened as Ah, Yeah. Yeah, that crap. But no, This is more important than says, Are you guys still going out for cutest today? So you get on that, William. Apparently you have a date. Probably hard. Yes. Well, and also it's a grand. I get my chickens and ducklings eat the barley. From bravery brewing. And so today. It's not bad if there's that's the weird thing is, people don't understand that the by products, there's a lot of things that could be thrown away. They don't need to. There's a lot of you know there's places that will you know in Asia, where they Make tea out of banana peels. So we're very strange here in the United States because we let go. I'm going to eat this tiny little thing and throw everything else away. Yeah, I gotta tell you, I'm one of these times I'm gonna add barley tea, my phenomenal instagram winning chili and I betcha. It works up just fine. I wonder if you could add it to Ah, meatloaf as part of the binder. I bet it Ah, I bet you could regular. Let's resolve this. Let's fold Layla Mohammed into this before she shares to leave. She claims Are you ready for this? Are you seated? I'm in it to win it, she says. Guacamole isn't cooking. It's not it's assembling. It's like him. It's like those raw places for the RAF vegans. Yeah, it's like, you know, that's called the That's called. Yes, I'll is what that is. They're just assembling stuff that's not And then if you go to these shabu shabu places where you have to cook your own food. What if it's undercooked? Do you sue them? What do you think? I've got on a day to a place where you have to cook. What is it called the melting pot or whatever, you know. Oh, jeez, that is That's not a day. That's work. Did you go see him? No. We were together for a while about together now, But I just was like, what if I'm not cooking this right through the ultimate insult Did he, like go like and expect you to cook? You put his sticks in the pot to you know, you have to cook your own food. Good for you is it was exhausted after the fondue experience, and this might clear things up quite a bit of weight. You would have fun doing that. These very popular But Layla Mohammed, have you ever had Mondo Sze guacamole? There's the problem, but it's still not cooking, you mashed rice and nice. That's it Takes well, innit? Cook leanings heat. There's heat applied to something, but yes, ord acid. But in this case there is an acid so Bohm. You've got the lemon juice. You've got tomatoes, but, yeah, it's more assembling. But there are many things that are assembled, I suppose, And that is the price. You have to know what ratios You're going to assemble them the ratio that's his secret. That's blue ribbon secret. It really is and a secret ingredient in there, And it's not putting sticks in the bottom of that, But you know what you deal, Brian. I'm gonna give you a tip. What you do is you Wait till Mondo goes in for one of his many surgeries you find out when he's coming out. He's still kind of sort of you and then you call him. Hey, just checking in on you. What's the secret ingredient guacamole, And he's like the wonder Woman Lasso of truth. Sounds like lime juice, not lemon juice. Damn you. It's goat urine. Oh, excellent. Yeah, he makes ah, amazing. It's almost more like a salsa because there's not even mixed together. Really. It's like chunky avocado in there. It's pretty spectacular. No normally I asked, What's the topic, but the little what? He's a little He's always having such a lot of a lot of If I am at 6 40 it is the Conway show, and there are a lot of restaurants out there that are scratching their head, figuring how the hell do we know what to do how to stay open where to serve meals. I've passed by a Denny's today and they have a tent outside. And they have the top to the tent. And they have all the four rat there the floor. Of course, that's the pavement and they've got the roof, the top the ceiling of the tent, and then they have All four of the sides all covered in plastic. Well, guess what? You're back indoors night. Why not walk into the restaurant that pointed heat? I don't know why Neilson pagers with us, and I'm sure he's got a lot of friends who are frustrated is hell and probably thinking of closing up. Because of the outrageous, outlandish and crazy rules that these guys have to follow every single day, and he's with us, Neil. How are you, sir? Hey, buddy. I'm well, how are you? Good. How you feeling, by the way, I know that I haven't seen you in, like, four or five months and you went through a crazy year. But then, you know, then covert hit and you got to stay home even longer. Not gonna lie to you, buddy. A little twitchy, twitching. I'm doing great. I mean, I love being around my my boy and my wife a lot. We do You know if you ever want to know if you should marry someone travel with them if you can travel Other lands outside of this continent and you can check out places then you're good to go on. So we deal. We're doing very well with it. But you know, this is I'm going on a month nine soon, so I'm a little twitchy week go for drives and stuff, but it's really It's like anything else starts becoming the same. So I'm really in the same boat as everyone else because they're all in it for five months and It's all this holds your kid now how old your China 106 A TTE. The beginning of Kobe. Hey, was just a little boy. I know he's three. He'll be four in November. Wow. That'll have a covert birthday. Probably like the rest of us. Yeah, I remember making the mistake of taking my daughter. To Disneyland when she turned three and then also when she turned for and I said, Well, let's go in and go in your favor ride when she was formed, and she said, What's my favorite ride? I said, You know, pirates of the Caribbean. She does or if I've been on it like, Oh, that's right. You don't remember threes. I spent a lot of money every year over, you know? Well, it's free until they're three. I didn't see I didn't know that I I said when we went there on 1/3 birthday was October 5th. You know, whatever year that was side 2008. And she asked me at the gate because how old your daughter and I go. We're celebrating our third birthday. But what? I didn't realize that we're there on October 4th. She was only two and she turned three the next day, and I screwed myself out of that ticket. And you're not even lucky On the basic things. It's unbelievable gambling. Worse. I dates. I literally have the worst luck in the world. I was at the racetrack with a buddy of mine, and I had J. Cohen, the bugle player. I said, Hey, it's my buddy's birthday. Will you embarrass him by playing happy birthday on his trunk on your trumpet for him? You don't happen to know a lot and a crowd gathers Happy birthday, Dear Frankie, 88 Psychotic Crap, right? Hates it, So everybody leaves. And he looks at me and goes. You're the biggest a hole in the world. And I said, that's a nice happy birthday. He goes. No, no, because you have no idea. It actually is my birthday. I didn't know that and he goes well. And you exhausted All of our luck today on that stupid move. Oh, boy. All of it. God! Alright, So let's talk about these restaurants. I knew their friends and family in the restaurant business, and there's a guy up here in Burbank, who owns a winery slash restaurant, But there's different rules for these guys, right? Yeah, You've got Giovanni there at Urban Press Winery, and he's one of those, you know, there's many of them, so if we put faces and names to these people, it's because we know them were connected with them, and we've eaten at their place is but I know that there's many of Nameless, faceless people that are out there dealing with the same thing, but but he's like ours at Brewery. Ah, bravery Brewery there in Lancaster and An urban press winery there in Burbank. You know, they shut down San Fernando Boulevard there, Tim, If you haven't noticed, they shut that I know it's great. We're smart, you know, and Burbank would might tip my hat to him because they were early on saying, you know, we gotta do we gotta do and they were shutting down parts of streets and things like that. So they did that and hear this guy's thinking. Okay, Great. They got built this whole outdoor area for people to come. Eat he since day one. This is not something he did for Kobe it he has a permanent food truck. Its hiss. It's not someone else's his permanent food truck. He's got a patio. He's got all this great stuff. They make all their food, some fabulous pastas. They have their great pizzas, everything. So it's a winery that serves food And apparently, my understanding is Cove ID the virus. Knows the difference between a Ah winery that serves food. And a restaurant that serves wine. It's got to be a genius. Tell you walk around and go this one that one so that it really boils down to politics and licensing. I know that there's you know good people in politics, and I'm not someone that bashes him across the board of Supervisors of Los Angeles are the ones that are dealing with this and you gotta hope that they're just People trying to deal with the situation the best they can. But sometimes you gotta quest question the reasoning in all this stuff. A lot of has to do with the levels of food permit their three levels. Low, moderate and high and they're given to you based on the way you handle food of the type. You handle food. You best believe that someone handling sushi He's on the high end of that totem pole versus someone who's you know, reheating frozen food or something like that. So they're working through that the ABC is loosening rules for delivering Alcohol with food and only thinks they're trying to figure it out. But there's some. There's some weird red tape. And apparently, maybe not All the supervisors want this to happen. But l a county is set apart from every other county that I can see in the way that they're dealing with this and the rules and regulations they're putting on it. And it's a It's a real bummer, Tim. There's just really good people going. You're you're basically tying both our hands and saying Well, go fight this monster out there called Cove it right and good luck. Well, you know, Neal savages with this fork report on the Jesus Guy show, but I ran into one of your friend got him or Mondo MME and he owns Isaac Goose. Otto's No, no, Our buddy Armando dilatory is from Lisa. Does this have to do? It's Spanish? For students like student meets and stuff like that? Yeah, that guy's great man. Look, he owns like 8 to 10. 12 restaurants. And I saw that guy King Taco. You know the great thing about here, right? He loves food for one, and he loves supporting local restaurants. You will never.

"For hanging out. Today It is 97 degrees outside right now. My house. What's your point? I woke up this morning I went outside and I was 77 30 something like that went out the back yard and instantly started to sweat. I mean, just like right out on this just right out on the stoop. You ever take those showers on a hot day? And then you have, like clean sweat where it's just basically the water beating up afterwards in anyways, one of them days. Okay, so here's the deal. Broadcasting from home is per usual, But I'm having massive technical difficulties. As a matter of fact, I have a hard time even hearing the music and people on your end in the studio. But we're going to move forward and well, troubleshoot it during breaks and do what I can with that So bear with us. All right, Let's start with grilling chicken. Shall we got a lot to get to today, including Bravery. Brewery are good buddies, their bravery brewery, and I said it just like I was actually sitting there enjoying a beer. Brian Avery is going to be calling in just a little bit. Talk about the battle that's going on because of Cove. It In the safety rules in the safety measures were all for Raul for beings safe, But there's this weird eating, meaning, miny Moe that seems to be going on. When it comes to what can open what cannot open and why. And I spent some time on the phone with the health health director there at Supervisor Barker's office this past week, and they were very kind, very helpful the way You know? Ah. Folks like that can be. There's a lot to it. There's a lot of people involved. It's not one particular supervisor over the other, but I am trying to deep dive and find out which supervisors might be pushing back. So that we can find out whose door we need to knock on to figure out. Give us give us a reason, because the county of Los Angeles is really dealing with this differently than other counties. And I think it's ah, legitimate reason to ask why. So we'll get to that and continue to focus on that until we get an answer. I know Ko Phi is working on a new story as well. So our news folks are tenacious and trust me. They will sniff out whatever needs to be sniffed out. And we will keep you posted of all of that. So we'll talk to Brian coming up in a little bit. Grilling chicken. Grilling chicken is one of those things that is Uh, is simple but not easy. And so we come back. We'll get into the difference of those two things and why there's just a few little techniques and understanding of temperatures and different differentiating between bone in I'll pause for laughter versus boneless, so stick around. We'll get to that in just a moment. So go know where it is The fourth report on Neil Surveyed Ricky If I am 6 40 let's get the latest news now with Amy King. Okay. Fine. Newsroom.

"Fourth of July. You know, it's a strange one all the way around. Looking at history's looking at moving forward in the middle of Cove. It Celebrating, you know Freedoms is ah! It's a mouthful right now. The really is a multifaceted It's known that we're all looking at. But there is still a lot of things to be happy about a lot of really wonderful things that come out of this country and those can certainly be enjoyed. As we look both backwards and forwards to make this country Live up to the promises. On the greatness that it has And that amazing document. Of people coming together and trying to find unity and ideas and liberty. And all of these things doesn't make mean that the work is done. And quite honestly, it will never be done doesn't mean that they're ah, that even as we get past and grow and get into newness on, understand the importance of not only unity but equality, not just as a word or a term. But a reality for those in our country that happened experienced it. That's a really interesting thing. Verily interesting time on DH. We can look at it. As you know a frustration. We can look at it as different aspects. But, man, I'll tell you if you look at it as being a part of something You could be proud of and to make change for the better. So that you know our sons, our Children. Our daughters grow up in a country that they could be even more proud of. Well, that's That's the way we should be looking at all this stuff in my book, So I hope that yes. Enjoy yourself. Yes. Put great food on the grill. I know we can't hang out with family but being a person of faith. I think God is pressing the pause button. Dad really forcing us to listen right now. And to grow so That's ah. It's one individual force. I don't want to be pushing back on. All right. So, with that being said, of course, comes along all the cove. It's stuff, right? Coverted opening, closing, talking with producer to Allah the other day and going back and forth today about all the changes. He was kind enough to send me some of the latest things and where we're at because I got to tell you And this is part of you know what producers do? They keep track of time lines because I can't I'm done. I was on with Darrin Shannon this past week on Tuesday. And I'm like, I just can't I give uncle I'm just going to give in and Just tell me where you want me on what to do. What not to do. I've been pretty locked in for over six months now. On It is absolutely affecting me, and I'm pretty strong that way. I adapt very, very well. But man, so looking at all these rules going back and forth and Newsome coming out. And the governor saying, Okay, I know we were starting to open, but the numbers are are going up too much. And I know that there is frustration with that. Because you've got owners of new places. Can you imagine? You know, we talked to the folks. From Georgia's restaurant, You know, six years they've been doing this, but the family recipes were hundreds of years old. And that's the American dream, right? You think I'm gonna utilize my gifts, inabilities along lines of excellence, and I'm going to do it here in this country and just think if they were starting Within the last couple months What that would be like trying to get something off the ground or trying to build something up and hearing from different restaurants. One of the ones that was focused is one that we know. Well, we've talked about the chain many times. Slater's 50 50. They are Ah Burger place with the whole twist of there. Burgers are there a 50 50 Patty 50% ground beef. Wait for it. 50% bacon. Being bonk so that Slater, 50 50 they were opening up in Santa Clarita. And I believe that they are franchised out. Is my understanding. So you had somebody that it was going to open this restaurant in the midst of all this. You have a 300 seat. Restaurant. 60 employees. And this hits and you're trying to keep them going. So keep in mind that AA lot of Southern California has gone back to A modified locked down. What does that mean for restaurant Will bars have closed in those air bars that do not sell food now before they had allowed The ass tricks that said, if you had a partnership with a food truck That your your brewery like, you know, our friends at bravery Brewery. Ah, that you could Get a food truck. In their case. I think I believe it was a taco truck and they'd be alongside and that you could get food on all of that. Well, now they're not allowing that or they don't have an option for that. A lot of places are now back to square one struggling to figure it out it out. So what I would recommend doing is checking, especially because some of these things hit Orange County or Some of them Don't um and orange counties and interesting place because you have some like 30 some odd mayor's or something in that area. San Diego has its own issues as well. And as they go through this They were. These restaurants in places were supposed to go back to AA limited capacity of about 60%. But it started picking up and that was enough. Teo get at least some of these restaurants moving and getting some people back. And now they're looking at having to close thean side part And if you happen to have outdoor dining, you could keep that open this current understanding. What some business owners when when they have the opportunity they like. Let's say they have a private parking lot. Then what they're doing is they're converting that parking lot in outdoor seating that is more than six feet apart. Very smart if you have that, But now you've got people wrestling with trying to figure out how to do this. It's going to be tough call on restaurants. You can have things delivered. I highly recommend this is going to be for Birger Wiik is well by the way. Good burger week dot com to find out who's participating July 12th Through. Ah, Through the 18th..

"Someone who does stand she was actually given to me by the good the owner of bravery brewery in Lancaster a case of beer is that right it must be hurting because of all the bars closed and yeah yeah yeah well I guess he's I guess a lot of people stop by and pick up pick up beer and check them I'm thinking about going up there on Saturday and picking up some beer because it was really good beer yeah well there's the I've read there's a million like millions of kegs of beer that are just sitting there and they only last six months it reminds you that in those photos you see prohibition when there's hidden axes in the breaking of the ranks you know about missiles so I know let's grab a couple of thousand listeners and head to the brewery I think we need that and no masks right I can't drink beer with a mass will have a little hole for straw all right so what what was what is called roadmap to recovery with houses well let's see I think this is one of the charts that that four hundred thousand dollar PR firm did that is a complicated on the road it's a roadmap to recovery and basically it's it we're in we're in the five stages now I am currently stage one was the safer home order and planning for recovery I think they call them phases I know here stages really at this I think no one is the third term the governor was using right stage one status each phase has stages I think each stage has been let me lean in and see if I can figure this out as a panoply of stages a play somewhere in two days one now everybody's on under house arrest yes number get now stage two may eighth yeah which is Friday florists why is the first thing they're opening our flooring because we've already been opened yeah the tech people because they've already been open sheets you said it first can I just repeat what you said so you're good to go I didn't hear that one something's get by him thanks sorry about that I sorry said before sorry to mother's day Johnny's son Dali yeah that's probably the biggest day of the year I would bet C. R. S. I say that one that Valentine's day okay retail some retailers car dealerships golf courses and trails and so we got hobby and toy shops will soon but what what is soon me bookstores I don't know soon see so that's Friday Friday Friday eighth okay well they because they had made for the forests and a couple others and then underneath that soon like it would be a different day but let's be clear you can only drive up and pick up curbside right right yeah I saw it run around the floor start low risk businesses manufacturers offices retail does every people gonna be coming back here now I think our office let me may eighteenth at lower yeah what did you hear that well no I think I saw an email said that they were re and they were trying to figure out a re integration plan which made me sound coming back some very eastern European accent right you don't know how nice it's been here all I know that's why everybody's coming back I'm not coming back I don't even remember who used to work here well I realized that none of them have anything to do with putting up the show too that's what I think all I care about is the break room people come in a restock they told me yes and that is at odds it's essential to be social distancing rules right if you guys are going to be well back in the office you have to have the white in the hallways and I want people fifteen feet away from me P. fifteen feet yes and don't talk I want to be in your airstream essential health care is gonna open soon outdoor recreation in libraries museums beaches museums cultural centers galleries it what's the beach okay so here's the B. here's the this is the answer that Barbara Ferrer had when she was asked about the beaches today I misspoke but here she is clearing it all out on terms of beaches yes the good news is that we are working and I again I wanna thank god R. I. beaches and harbour department and all of the beach mayors and our supervisors are there is a plan it will go into effect at some point in the very near future that will allow again for a slow re opening of our beaches are in a way that's as safe as possible but I do want to thank everyone who's been working on that plan when I know that we can all look forward to that how many people do you need to open a beach with this it's going to be the active thing right Steve we have to keep moving you can't like lie down on the beach I think I think everybody knows where they are I think everything on the bike trails north bound and then everything on the sand is gonna be south bound I don't know how talk about one of the but I think I did not carry it back on that album what what about John's tennis courts well that's a Garcetti thing yeah that's a small it's right that's LA city that that that that you know what that's what I'll ask yeah I ask when he's gonna open my tennis courts at the Barrington rec center okay that's All I Want to know that's what pushed me over the edge I think they're being turned over to the homeless okay all right and you also found out something about possible pay cuts with the suit yes license as you guys pointed out in the two o'clock hour it's been sometime since I've been able to actually ask a question but one of the things have really been pushing on is the two thing is the thing at two things is nursing homes and pay voluntary pay cuts of the of the staff so here is me asking Catherine Barker it was I cut it up and just so it's out of order but you'll you'll get the idea here's my question and her answer to that also to mount your Barker I've now contacted each of the offices there about the way money is being spent hitting a stone wall pretty much on on my request but I am going to ask you again as I asked the sheriff about pay cuts and pay reductions because that's not been addressed the morning at some point is if any leader in the LA county offices there are going to take a voluntary pay cuts thank you so first I'm sorry you feel you're getting stonewalled I make sure that you do get a response but the short answer is yes the CEO is bringing four proposals that will reflect cuts in pay is by all executives but I will make sure that you get that and I will ask CEO to coordinate it rather than all five officers responding to whatever you've requested so we'll get that out to next question next question what what guards then drag you to a prison cell right and well known for two hours out here yeah but I'm here all you're hearing here calling in yeah it's the thing that I always kind of laughed about all of this is like a mentally this will end and it will be done and I will get to be down in the front row again yeah so I don't know why you know all this is going on because eventually we're gonna get right back into it again and they will have to answer my questions and they will have to deal with me in person not you're expecting in the few minutes when he appears again the father Garcetti with his nightly solemn he is going to probably address what Ellie cities going to do in terms of because Friday's the county but the city may hold out I would imagine as can as he's been doing he's been sort of mirroring what the county does he starts out with the county the daily county way causes daily snapshot in all he's doing is repeating the county numbers and then you know then he seems to adding new program every few days or some new program we can't even keep up with the programs now is the latest one was at LA represents which is free attorneys and you've got you know you got it there's some new program every day coming up so that's what he's all about lately but as far as as far as re opening stuff he said he's gonna really just lean on the county for the that guidance okay because I heard Ms act like you in a we may not be ready for Friday these yes I did but he was muttering last night but I think he was waiting to see what the county was going to die well title so you give a chance to ask about Johnston is quite well I dreaded Barrington rec center okay thank you hi guys hi bye coming up next Gavin Newsom the mask dele made with that suspicious yes IT's company in its electric buses that don't work by the way if we have a two minutes yeah I also want to read I just found it John fund wrote this piece in the National Review about that idiot what's his name Ferguson Neil Fergus Neil Fergus said a British guy yeah the British guy who had that apocalyptic the model that said two million would die and we found out yesterday that while he was under lockdown in Britain the one he inspired he was banging his married mistress yes the secret into his home well I use it turns out much of the scientific community has turned on Neil Ferguson as a for charlatan and a fraud and that his modeling is the worst science they've ever seen and this is the guy that inspired Newsome and Garcetti and even trump to issue all locked down Dr fountain Dr Brooks brought out there that chart yes that's right well the forecaster that they use I want to read this and I want everybody listening to pay attention to this and tell everybody you know what this guy has that reputation is now what everybody thinks of the work because his work more than anyone else's work shut down the country and the state in the city and we told you was a lot of overhyped nonsense and we're gonna drop I gotta read this we we can always love the word charlatan actually somebody use that word they released as other scientists said you know I hate to say this but he because Charlton Johnny can't care if I get remark as.

"Back tomorrow I was late getting back there was a some guy taken too long washing his hands in the men's room happy birthday twice I think you think it eight times I thought there was nobody there well there's one guy there he's got really clean hands with me nobody in the building except for those on the air right should leave immediately but you're masking up well not while we're on the air now Steve Gregory is here when he went to the men's room should be wearing your mask yeah I put my shirt over my head Steve how are you well you know watching America's today we had to email our questions in and this probably well in first I thought because Sean Penn is the guest and they didn't want you know people like some of these TV people calling a gun I really liked you in them in the I'm sure they were avoiding that button I think it's because they're out at one of these testing sites well he does want to be seriously question and then Sean Penn when he spoke I didn't know what to expect and basically he just thank everybody and then ask for donations yeah yeah well he's he's got some I guess some charity organization the topic people that you had yeah the LA county supervisors doing their press briefing today yeah and you asked who so it started yesterday was still the silly scented the backstory was yesterday asked the same question in it because I've been wanting to ask for a couple days but remember the backstories I've been I stay out for a few days right so when I finally got in I want to ask about furloughs I want to ask about pay cuts voluntary pay cuts at least an executive position because I know that people in our company have been taking voluntary pay cuts or those sort of like you know into the Dave I eat people foregoing their salaries or whatever the case is what's going on in the private sector someone to find out the public sector so I asked so least was least kind of glossed over it never did answer my question I couldn't to follow because it cut off your phone immediately so you can't you can't ask follow up so today I tried again with Parker she was back today and I asked her I said you know I didn't get my question answered yesterday I'm wondering if you could talk a little bit more about voluntary pay cuts the key word here is voluntary okay voluntary pay cuts furloughs and I said can you tell me where people been reassigned I was told by solutions today that all these people like at the museum and everyone else they've all been reassigned and so she said she said that some people have been reassigned to work with the homeless and things like that fine if that's what the case is and then the I'm gonna let you hear the rescue out here now this is compressed so just to be honest and up front this a little longer than this but I had to compress it down for time but it is important for you to hear how she answers my previous question about reassigning and furloughs and things like that and then you hear me follow up and then she answers after that right now our CEO is putting together our budget and each department is going to put together a model that's going to have a ten twenty or twenty five percent cut that will include the executive office of which the board of supervisors falls under it and so as we discussed the budget we are going to look at all options and into you will see that playing out so with that we are not we're not gonna take questions in Spanish was another that was it no actually I I requested all I ask my question was about voluntary pay cuts are there any county executives he's got those making over a hundred thousand up to three or four hundred thousand dollars a year are there any executives that are going to be taking and what I told you is that each department is going to put together their budget I have I take pride in the fact this county every year has put aside money for a rainy day and it was just for purposes like this where we have situations where an economic downturn in this case it was situation called nineteen and therefore I think be premature to assume any of what you said is S. as latest scenario is going to take place but we have to be prepared until all are on the table but I I mean to answer a question with a minute required department heads or even people making X. amount of dollars to take a pay cut I think it's premature and pretty responsible quite frankly with that now we will do question our remarks in Spanish okay it's irresponsible to ask if the county executives are going to take a pay cut now see here's the thing really it's time to parse words here did it any time in there did I say ask her whether she was going to require others to take a pay cut no are there any plans for voluntary pay cuts my next question obviously would be well madam chair Barker are you going to take a pay cut what why she's so pissed off that question lots of people are getting furloughed laid off pay cuts well executives whose companies are taking pay cuts there there right their tax revenues are going in the toilet and they're not coming back anytime soon so we want private companies are doing is the top executives are taking pay cuts but they're following people at the lower levels and they're laying off some people Catherine Barker's responsibility is to give you an answer because you're asking questions on behalf of the listeners on behalf of the taxpayers the constituents she should she should be forthcoming and polite about the response that question was it was if that was what I was wondering if the question is you shut us down and you cut people off economically but you won't sacrifice in anyway well what you're doing and if your job you're keeping your pay your life is the same thanks and if you listen to her there and she says and to to suggest that I tell people I sit there and think that's not what I said classic public political twist I ask that that's what they do the twist your question and say you said something that you didn't say and then the call me responsible yeah and then to insult you and insult our audience on top of it the key is voluntary the word is voluntary that's all I ask is there a plan for voluntary and then we'll madam chair do you think you should set the example by being the first in line as the head of the board of supervisors to take a pay cut that was my follow up that's Jeez that didn't skimp she could handle that question you could tell she was already moving on now here's the thing these press conferences start at one and they typically go forty five minutes before they go to Spanish today it was at thirty five when I asked that question the goddess banish well they they have to yeah but but not down at the thirty five minutes when I saw the same thing was trying widget reporters ought to get all their questions out well in that trouble is out for three hours and he deals with a lot worse than you asking about pay cuts now so at this point I'll probably never get back on the call I doubt that I'll ever get in again but I don't I don't understand this if you're gonna run out of tax money absolutely going to go into it with her since she had on our house she justified not taking some some pay cuts up fried to delay the inevitable or furloughs number number there's a lot in and out so Lee said every employee in the county is essential she said that yesterday everyone of that that's when I asked her to which departments are nonessential and in then she said well our some of our employees been reassigned she never did specifying I couldn't follow ups of today S. Parker can you specify where those employees have been reassigned and she said well you know the people the museum there helping with the homeless okay fine at least you gave me an answer I'll take that that's better than just I mean I'm not really sure and then that's that's so anyway too long and it's rude well the upside for me is like you know I I didn't really realize the impact that question but it resonated in a lot of one why are they so sensitive now well you know there you go so all I know is that a place called bravery breweries giving me free beer for life now and they just sent me I mean we had just a few calls last hour about the suffering people are going through this Kevin Parker have any idea that people are flat out of money they have no money.
