The Redemption Story

"In the break, I had kept talking, I think there was a glitch in the last thing I said was that I was going to fight that teacher. I was going to beat her up and that's the type of person that I was. So let me try to finish that thought because I was going on a thing for like two minutes after the break. But after that, after me getting in trouble, I got suspended from school. I mean, I got expelled from school. It wasn't just suspension. I got expelled. I had to go to alternative school. And that was one of the biggest blessings of my life going to alternative school because I never want to get in trouble again after that. I mean, I thought I was in prison. Think about first world issues. I had to wear uniforms. And that was enough for me to say, and we had to go through meta detectors, and they gave us these little pencils. I mean, it was hell going through there. I want no parts of going through alternative screw ever again. And I went on to college and I had a terrible attitude. I had a terrible attitude. People on the team were afraid of me, the coaches were afraid of me. You say the wrong thing to me and Brandon Tatum is fighting. I can't tell you how many cell phones I've broken. I can't tell you how many VHS tapes I destroyed. And some of young people that are listening, you don't know what a VHS tape is. However, VHS tapes, I destroyed them when I was upset. I never got into mystic violence or anything like that, but I had a terrible attitude, but I got saved. That's the beauty of the redemption story. I got saved. I was baptizing Jesus name field with God's spirit, and it changed me. I quit cursing. You know, I just thought I thought of things much differently. And I tell you it. Before I was saved, you know, would I have been in a domestic violence situation? I mean, I don't think so. But, you know, some of the things that I had to deal with with my oldest son, you know, it makes me very upset, but because I'm safe, I can deal with it.

Brandon Tatum: I Could Not Be Prouder to Support Kari Lake

"Carrie Lake is a close second. With the amount of places that I've seen her in the state of Arizona, I mean, they got a fundraiser coming up. I think on Thursday, they asked me was I able to go and I have to go right from the radio show right there if I want to be involved. But she's literally in schools and people's houses and fundraisers at events, Steven Crowder came down here and had a tremendous comedy event she was there. ASU football, even though they trash. Sorry, Nick, they're trash. And Arizona is trash too. But she was at an Arizona state football game. I mean, the crowd was going crazy. Students would carry. I mean, all of those things are such an encouraging measure, at least for me being in the state of Arizona that I could not be prouder to vote for and support someone like Carrie Lake. Now, let's give the, what do we call it? The devil's advocate of Carrie Lake, the complete opposite of Carrie Lake, will be Liz Cheney. Now I don't know if it's a Liz Cheney fans out there watching this to listen to this, but Liz Cheney has to be the trash is Republican candidate that I have seen in a while. She is she is on par with Hillary Clinton. Liz Cheney is the Hillary Clinton of the Republican Party. And I'm telling you what, I have never met Liz Cheney. But I will bet my career that she is as dusty and as ridiculous as Hillary Clinton. They're like cut from the same cloth. I would have more respect for Liz Cheney if she wasn't trying to throw Donald Trump under the bus for her own political gain. For her own family legacy. And that's just my opinion. I believe it's her family legacy. The bushes, the Chinese, all of they can't stand that Donald Trump has interrupted their legacy in this country. And he's literally poo pooed on their legacy.

Liberty University’s Dave Brat Breaks Down the State of the Economy

"There is a tremendous amount of economic confusion today, actually just going on generally, to help unpack that is a brilliant economic mind, Dave brat, from Liberty University, Dave, welcome to the Charlie Kirk show. Hey, Charlie, thank you. Patriot mobile is great, by the way. I was just up with her team at D.C., your spot on. They're really great. They're doing a good job. They're actually solving the cell phone crisis via conservative approach patriot mobile dot com slash Charlie just to remind everybody. So let's just start with the top line news. There's so much happening here, Dave, the Dow is down 600 points below 30,000 bear market, the economy is all over the place. We have these contra indicators, how would you rate you're a doctor, not a medical doctor, but you'll pretend to be a medical doctor. How would you rate the health of the American economy right now? Oh, seriously, I mean, the economy, right? Which is different than the stock market. That's econ one O one. The economy is a corpse laying on a table. And we've been shoving blood through it in the form of fiscal stimulus spending through the federal government. And 9 trillion on the Federal Reserve balance sheet. So 31 trillion in debt on the federal government side, 9 trade to keep it alive and it's still in a recession for the last 6 months growing at zero. So the economy is a one or a two and then the markets follow, right? So earnings are going to go down, profits are going to go down. We're going into a recession, the fed has said we're going to force a recession to get the wage wage price spiral down, right? Inflation is bad enough, but if inflation makes its way into the wage rates, that becomes what they call an economics sticky. Stinky prices would stay around for years. And so the fed has to end that. So they're engineering a recession and you had it right. We're about ready to find probably another 10% or maybe even 20% down in the markets.

Brandon Tatum on Why Race Isn't a Big Convo Heading Into the Midterms

"You find it interesting about how out of all the national conversations right now, race is not a primary conversation heading into the midterms. What are we supposed to make of that? Well, I think that, you know, we got to look at the midterms as a political strategy on both sides, right? I don't think that a lot of these politicians are genuine in their approach. I don't think they really have a vested interest in fixing any issues. What they want to do is promote an issue that gets people riled up to get their emotions running, get them in a level of or in a position of fear, and then they can run a campaign on that. And if you look at the Democrat party in the black community, the reason why they've been having a black community in a stronghold or in a chokehold I'd say is because all they do is pitch promises every single year. We promise to do this. We promise to do this, look, the scary white man is out here ready to get you. We're going to protect you this year. Well, we didn't protect you last year. We're going to protect you this year. It's the Republicans fall. I mean, they just continue to push a narrative for political expediency and they're not addressing any of the real issues because if Democrats really cared about the black community, they will be addressing crime in the inner city. They will be addressing the police department and not in a way in which they're expressing that they need to revise and rethink policing. They would be saying that we're going to fund police. We're going to get them better training. We're going to get more minorities involved in policing so they can patrol their communities that they're familiar with. But that's not the approach. Charlie, they're just out for getting votes and promise you something that they can have leverage on for the next a hundred years.

How Do We Make Sense of Segregation? Brandon Tatum Explains

"This argument out there, which is, okay, 1940, 1950s, black America was segregated. Okay? But it seems as if there is a push to resegregate America, right? Black only dormitories, you know, affirmative action policies, there's a big movement behind that, especially driven by BLM. To say that, well, when we were segregated, we were able to do better. I find segregation to be evil and wrong and terrible. Now there was a movement to end segregation, driven by black Americans. How do we make sense of all that Brandon? Well, it's a very nuanced conversation because you talk about segregation before obviously desegregation. I don't think segregation was good, but I did think that during that time, black people actually own things, they own it on businesses. They had their own schools when we forced ourselves into desegregation or somewhat of an assimilation, black people lost an identity. I mean, the schools were demolished. The black teachers couldn't get work in the white schools that they integrated into. And I don't know if the timing was right because now we've seen a level of what you say lack of ownership. I mean, let's go back to the early 1900s. Madame C.J. Walker, Sarah Bree love is her government name. She was the first female millionaire out of any race.

"Joining us now is a great patriot and a colleague on the Salem radio network, his show is doing very, very well. You can hear all across the country as he does a fabulous show every night. It's Brandon Tatum. Brandon, welcome back to the program. Charlie, thank you for having me on. Loving the radio show, man. Listening to it, almost every night when I'm driving around and Karen and Larry elder's legacy. Tell us about the film. Uncle Tom two. The Uncle Tom too, I think is a tremendous film that tells the true history of Americans of African descent. And it digs into the nuances of how marxists individuals in our country, namely the leaders of BLM are literally taken the black community down the drain and having this anti American theology that's causing individuals who are black in this country to hate America to feel like a perpetual victim and those things are detriments and we have to change those and Uncle Tom two kind of expressed the avenue in which we can go about changing some of the things that are going on in our country and really espousing success and Victor or success and allowing us to be big tours moving forward.

DeSantis flies two planes of migrants to Marthas Vineyard; Karine Jean

"Brandon Tatum is a 7 year veteran of the Tucson police department. He's a YouTube sensation with 1.9 million subscribers. He started blacks up with Candace Owens and now he's tackling his biggest assignment yet. This is the officer Tatum show. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the officer Tatum show. I got so much to talk about. Today I want to hit on a few pointers. When it comes to Ron DeSantis, governor Abbott sending illegal aliens to Martha's Vineyard and some of these liberal self proclaimed sanctuary states. Now, if you've been watching the news or paying attention at all, you will realize that there were illegal aliens who were sent to Martha's Vineyard. Now, if you don't know what Martha's venue is, just imagine a place where all the wealthy people have their guesthouses and or vacation homes and Obama lived there. I'm sure Oprah Winfrey got a house there. All of these mega millionaires and billionaires have property at Martha's Vineyard. I would argue that it's an exclusive location where only wealthy people reside. Now I'm not going to lie and say I don't know people that live in Martha's Vineyard. I at least know one person that has a house in Martha's Vineyard that they don't even live at most of the time. So you can imagine that they are a billionaire. However, the ploy by desantis and governor Abbott sending some of these illegal aliens to multiple locations, I think, is petty, but I'm here for the pettiness. The only way that these people are going to get a taste of their own medicine is when we start being just as pity as they're being. I find it quite interesting. That they cry from the mountaintop. We need to, we need to have immigrants. Republicans are racist. They don't care about people. These people just looking for opportunities. And then when the opportunities are presented to be provided for by them, now it's a crisis. People in Martha's Vineyard network and you probably have to at least be worth several $1 million to even have a place in Martha's Vineyard. Remember all the stuff people are talking I don't let them in the border. No, no, no, let them stay in your vacation home. You're 15,000 square foot vacation home that you only visit for three months out of the year. How about you let their legals alien stay there? Remember when you were talking all that trash about president Donald Trump saying he's a racist for not wanting people to come over here. Oh, now it's in your backyard now you are concerned. See, because I think it's not fair that the ones who are advocating for open borders the most are not affected the most by open border policy. If you look at it, you say, I mean it does illegal aliens coming through Texas coming through California. Coming through Arizona, many of them ended up in Florida. What are the chances that they're going to make it up to Chicago? What are the chances that they're going to make it up to Northern California? Some of these places, they're going to settle in a place that's closest and most conducive for them to settle in. And you know who's going to take the burden of those issues, the taxpayer. Where do you think these people go to school? When they bring their kids over here, where do you think they go to school? They ain't homeschooling them. They're going to school with your kids. And then when the teachers aren't getting paid enough and they're burdened to the bone, why do you think that's the case? Because we got an influx of people in our country that don't belong here. And we really don't have the resources to take care of them. Man, you think they're not bumping and grinding and pumping and sweating. They haven't kids too. And they having a lot of kids. You think they weren't contraceptive. You think they may not say that other word. You think they're doing the Afghanistan like Joe Biden? They probably are, because. They did. They may not say it. Y'all know what I'm talking about. They're removal game is on trash mode. So I bet you a $1 million they're having a lot of kids. And where do you think they go? When they're giving birth to children, they go to the hospital. And your insurance, or if you don't have insurance, you paid out of pocket for the birth of your child and your second child in your third child. On their 7th kid, who do you think is paying for it? They don't have a job, many of them, they don't have jobs, they don't have a social security number. They can't get a wicked work anywhere. A lot of them are working under the table. They don't have insurance. But that pregnancy that high risk pregnancy is 40, $50,000. Who is paying for it? Okay. I'm just wondering where you're paying attention. Are you awake? And I'm not saying in any form of fashion that we should be mean to people. And we should hate people. How dare you want to be in America? I understand why you want to be in America. However, we can't just let everybody come into America. We can't just let everybody do it. Let me just give you an example. I gave this example at a university that I was speaking at. The Envaluable Nature of Gun Ownership

"I want to continue to talk about this idea of gun ownership. The invaluable nature of being able to own and on your own gun and defend yourself. You know, unless the government is going to provide a police officer that's sitting on my street 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have to hold down the fort. We got a guy, we were looking on the ring camera community thing. There are some guy brazen enough to go on the lady's house down the street from where we live. Well, it's not down the street just across the golf course of where we live. What was in our House, I guess she woke up, yo, she went to get some water. She caught him in there and he ran. The police ain't sitting at your front door. So when some thug want to go night night and he need Brandon Tatum to help him go night night, then I'm very glad to do that for you.

Brandon Tatum Previews the New Film 'Uncle Tom II'

"Sure you're real proud to have been a part of this really, really fascinating movie. Yeah, Mike, I'm incredibly blessed to be a part of this movie to tell the story the true history of black America. And I like to say the Americans of African descent because we are at America's first. Now let me go back to the ground the foundation of all of this and the reason it's so provocative. I think a lot of people that are listening understand the message of Jesus Christ, which is truth. When you tell the truth, it becomes incredibly provocative and people actually want to kill you over the truth. They want the kill Jesus over the truth. And I'm not trying to compare Uncle Tom to the Jesus message. However, I'm comparing it to when you tell the truth, it can be incredibly provocative, and I think a lot of people who are ready for information who are open minded will be changed for the rest of their lives from watching Uncle Tom too. And it's not just because I'm in the documentary is simply because it's facts and information that you will never ever find anywhere else. No one's brave enough. No one's going to put in the time to tell the true history of Black Lives Matter, the tell the true history about black Wall Street about black Harlem about what the Marxist progressive Democrats have done to the black community, taking us from a point of taking us from the point of thriving, believing in this country, being patriotic, owning our own businesses, to now it appears that a majority or a good number of black people hate this country believe in system systemic racism, which I don't believe exists to the extent that they're pushing. And they also feel that they don't belong here. And that is terrible given the history of Americans of African descent in this country.

Brandon Tatum: Joe Biden's Speech Was Despicable

"Pay officer Tatum. Wow. I know we got a lot to talk about with Uncle Tom too, but I got to get your reaction to what we witnessed last night as a president of the United States declared war on half of the American people. My good morning and thank you for having me on the show. Hope the mic is loud enough. Loud and clear. You know, I think it was despicable to see someone who was in the Oval Office, which is one of the most honorable positions that a person can ever attain in his lifetime. Sit and bash American people. You know, when you become the president of the United States of America, no matter how you feel, politically, you are supposed to be representative of America. You don't have to represent the extremes, but you need to represent the everyday American into bash Trump supporters and people who happen to vote Republican even the people who are balanced and in the middle and may have supported Joe Biden. He just threw them under the bus for political expediency and I don't know what kind of drugs their feeding them. I don't know if he hasn't gotten enough sleep. I don't know what his speech writers smoking. There is no way whatsoever in this particular climate of our country that a speech like that should have been given. We want to hear a speech full of hope, a full of patriotism and the looking forward to our country doing better and being greater, not some gloom and doom. I hate everybody that didn't vote for me type of speech. It's not going to work for the Democrats, in my opinion.

"Up. So I am really, really obviously excited. We'll keep you around for another short segment folks. The film is Uncle Tom two, you can go to Salem now dot com. We'll be right back. I had to find my children time I can start all over again and around. Folks, welcome back. I'm talking to Brandon Tatum about the brand new film is called Uncle Tom two electric boogaloo. Just kidding. It's just called Uncle Tom two. You can find him at find it at Salem now dot com. So what else is in the film? I mean, for example, let's talk about the truth behind Black Lives Matter. You are wearing a shirt right now that says police lives matter. You're triggering a lot of people by wearing that shirt. What is the story behind Black Lives Matter? Because I drive down in New York City, all these ultra white churches have a big Black Lives Matter sign out front, which I don't know what they're trying to communicate, like we're not racist, bigots, please join our congregation. It's so pathetic to me. What is the story behind Black Lives Matter from your point of view? Well, Eric, just while we were on the subject of God, the devil, the demo is the master of deception. And these words are being used to portray something that it has no involvement with. I mean, we can go to Planned Parenthood. You're not planning any parenthood showing up at Planned Parenthood. And the same thing with Black Lives Matter. It has nothing to do with Black Lives Matter. It's only if black lives are taken by police officers whether the black person was justifiably shot or not, they only care about that. When 99% of black lives that are taking in other forms of fashions, mostly by other black people, they don't get any coverage, no t-shirts and no love, no nothing. And Black Lives Matter is simply a Marxist organization they admitted that they were. They want to destroy the nuclear family and their terms. They said reimagine, we know what reimagining is reimagining being destroyed. Same thing they want to reimagine policing in America. They want to destroy policing in America. It is a Marxist organization that used the dent and a dead bodies of black people to push it a gene raised money. We don't know where the money is going. It's not going to black people. It didn't go to Michael Brown's family, didn't go to Breonna Taylor's county, didn't go to George Floyd's family. Where's the money going? Patrice colors who was the head of one of the cofounders, she had to step down, she's buying houses in the white neighborhood, mansions in the white neighborhood, taking the money that people donate for black lives to invest in an environment that don't involve any black people. These people are fraudulent, they use it for political leverage. It's similar to things that we've seen consistently in the past. And there's a difference between, and let me say this, let me say this Eric, I wanted to get this one in. The idea of when transformation happens, how zealous we become, and I don't changing gears just a little bit, but when I found out that Black Lives Matter and all these other organizations were complete frauds, it's the same time I found out that Jesus was the way, or at least the same, it had the same feeling. And I had this vigor in this passion inside of me to say, I need to tell everybody I know about the fact that we grew up with a lie in the same thing when I got saved. I can't believe that this Jesus thing is real. I need to tell everybody I can or at least live the lifestyle before people so that they can see the truth. And that's kind of what we've gotten to at this point, but Black Lives Matter is completely fraudulent. Organization and there's nobody else that can tell me anything different and the problem is is that some people feel what we call right guilt. And they feel this white guilt and they try to do anything they can to show, hey, I actually love black people. And then the sad part is, is they put the Black Lives Matter flag up, but they don't do nothing for black people anyway. I remember going to the inner city. We are commanded to love our neighbors. And I am commanded to speak out for the poor for the urban poor for black poor. I'm commanded by God to stand up for them. And when I know that Black Lives Matter is an atheist organization which is destroying black families, it's destroying black lives. I have an obligation before God to denounce the organization called Black Lives Matter. I know I will lose points in some circles, but I have to worry what does God think of what I'm doing. "I love this line and so we're thinking. Fully see laying our hearts on a table. Folks, welcome back. I am talking to Brandon Tatum and I'm loving every second of it. Brandon, you're a blessing to many people, you're an encouragement to many people. Your courageous and you are leading people out of intellectual bondage into the truth. And I just want to say thank God for you, because we, as I said, two segments ago, we have been through hell as a nation in the last number of years. We have seen how we've been lied to and people have doubled down on the lives. And nobody wants to believe that. I just want to believe whatever the news says, they might be a little biased, but whatever the medical establishment says, well, when you begin to see the level of deception and confusion, it is difficult to process it. But by God's grace, a lot of people are processing it and they're coming out to where you are and I am in different ways. And I really believe America's best days are ahead, but that is only because of the amazing grace of God. It's because he has allowed us to go through the season of difficulty where a lot of people who've been sleepwalking have been waking up, at least that's my sense. I agree with you, Eric, I mean, you know, God is in control of everything that occurs. You know, I think that we are going through this period of time is because we need this to grow. We need to wake up and realize, okay, this is what we have. This is what our opportunities are, and this is what the other side has to offer. And some people won't accept that until they get exposed to it. You know, it's just like, you know, living a drug like, you know, some people use drugs and they hit rock bottom and they realize they have to hit rock bottom before they can come out of the ashes. And it's only going to be God, and I hope that the nation understands that. It's not going to be hocus pocus or something that's going to get us out of this. We're going to have to return back to God and that's what the film Uncle Tom talks about for sure is that in the black community to fail of the black community or failures that occurred were because we left God and went to the government and the Marxist theology is that the government is going to replace our God and I argue that the government will place our fathers and everything else that makes us successful. They want the government to be in that position. And you know, I just want the nation to understand that we are going to have to return to judeo Christian values. We're going to have to return back to prayer. I said a prayer on my live radio show just the other day. One of the college Collins said we need to pray. I said, let's pray right now. We'll go right on air and we'll pray. And that's what we did. And I do it on my YouTube channel with over 20 million page views a month and I pray on there as well because I understand that the only way we're going to figure this thing out is if true leaders that are inspired by God stand up until the truth to the masses and we'll see a huge change in our culture. And it is happening. And you know, it's kind of funny because I recently spoke at a conservative event, a bunch of young people, young America's foundation, and a young woman, a black American woman came up and asked me about how do you talk to people who don't believe in Jesus or she was kind of asking me, how do you convert them? And I said, you realize, I'm not interested in religion. I'm interested in truth. I'm interested in reality. I want to convert people to reality because Jesus is truth and he points he created reality. So sometimes even Christians get very involved in we make things religious and there's nothing religious about truth. Jesus said, I am the way the truth and the life. And if people turn to him, he will lead them into all truth. And anytime you can lead anybody to anything that's true, you are whether you know it or not, leading them toward Jesus. So in a sense, we have to be less and less apologetic about our faith because it's either real or it's not. It's not some weird philosophy we have adopted that helps us. It's called reality. And so what we're doing, we're in the business of converting people to reality. And if I'm wrong, show me where I'm wrong, because I'm interested in reality and truth. I'm not interested in following some religious line. So it's just fascinating to me that this is happening around America because things have gotten so bad that plenty of people are suddenly tuning into somebody like you and saying, you know, I haven't heard this stuff before. They're kind of like they're privately, they're quietly coming along to see what you see. Right, and I think that, you know, with the conversion idea, I think a lot of people, like you said, it caught up in religion. It's not as for us to go and beat over your head. You need to be with Jesus. No, you live the lifestyle. You live it before people. And then your example, radiates, and if people wonder, what's so different about this guy? And then they begin to understand Christ more. When you go after people and you better be a Christian and you don't have to do all that, you expose them to the truth, the truth will set them free. I mean, it's just, it's almost as if it radiates. In the Bible it talks about how the apostles were to go to the door, knock and present the gospel and the people didn't want it. They move on because some people they're not ready yet, but you have to present. And when I say present, I mean live the lifestyle. I in no way am trying to convince anybody about Jesus. I'm not trying to convince you about politics. I just tell the truth in our allowed the truth to set you free. And I don't have to be anybody on that to recreate myself to be somebody that I'm not. I only tell the truth. I'm authentic to myself. I know what who I am and I present that every single day when I go on a radio or I go to speeches or whatever the case might be and I allow God to use the things that I say in my actions to infiltrate the hearts of people because it only God knows how to do that. Some people are in different positions. So part of what's happening in America right now is revival. There are people coming to faith. And then there's reformation. In other words, what you present in this film, Uncle Tom two. People's minds are being blown, heads are exploding, especially among black Americans who have completely bought into this, and then they think what, why has this been kept from me? Why have I never heard this? So it's one of the reasons I have this passion to get the word out about this film, folks, this is reality, okay? Larry elder is somebody that he's been black most of his life. He has lived this. Right? He has lived this Brandon. You have lived this. And when you discover this truth, you think I have been living for decades in a world that refuses to talk about these things that only says you have to buy into this narrative. If you don't buy into this narrative, you're not being black. They're telling you what it means to be black, they're giving you this Marxist ideology. And people are waking.

"If you change your mind. Free take a chance on me if you need me hey there folks, I'm talking to Brandon Tatum. And Brandon, you just said, I want to ask you, again, you said Jesus came into your life around 2008. And it began to turn around everything for you. And I said, how did that happen? Jesus came to your life. And you said you were all American college football player. I was all American going into college football, so I was one of the top players in the nation coming out of high school, U.S. Army all American. Okay, I heard you say something positive along those lines and you said, but everything went downhill. What do you mean? Were you full of pride, were you just thinking so full of yourself and success that it made you lose track of what's important? And that's what led you to fall apart or how did what happened? It was mostly maturity, you know? I was very humble, but I wasn't mature enough to handle the rigors of college football. You know, the coaches would cuss you out and yell at you and get in your face. And my attitude was so bad at the time that that turned into me wanting to fight the coaches and be upset and things like that and they kind of took me out of my game and I got injured in my second year. I was out for the entire season. So then things begin to go south for me. However, I grew up in the church. When you, I'll say this, I grew up in a church where the church wouldn't end me. And so when you live in Texas, you play football league go to church, no matter what. I don't care if you ate this. You're a church. If you live in Texas, so I had to retain in my consciousness, but you know I had to give it a try as an adult. And so I went to church, I went to an apostolic church where they believe in speaking in tongues and all of that stuff and I got saved. I got baptized in Jesus name. I got filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit. And my life changed instantaneously. The gift of the Holy Spirit, you believe that's for today, oh, a 100%. Because I do too, because here's a little secret. It is. Not everybody knows that, but it is. And when you go to one of those churches, it's real. And it's wonderful, and it's exciting. And so that's what happened to you. And this was in Texas while you were in college. No, no, this is in Tucson because I went to Tucson. I left Texas. I'm sorry. You went to Tucson, but so this all happened in Tucson, why you're in college? While I'm in college while I was playing college football in the great thing about that is the entire football team saw my transformation one day I was one way and the next day I quit cursing. I quit I throw away all of my rap music and I started living for Jesus and I was on fire. I think like 6 or 7 athletes got saved right after me just for me witnessing and them seeing what Brenda Tatum became and that led me down the path of understanding that life was bigger than just football and that I had to listen to God's direction and got ended up directing me away from football and to being a police officer. And then that led me to where I'm at now. So I think that the path of success came not only for having a strong foundation of having my father in my life, but also when I got saved and out loud Jesus in my life that completely was the game changer for me..

"I'm just interviewing you as somebody who's in this film at Salem now dot com, Uncle Tom, too. What is your story? How did you come to be who you are today? Yeah, I have to say one of the most important parts of my upbringing and how I ended up where I'm at now is my father. I had a strong father that had been in my life every since the day I was born and that helped me gain confidence to get to me to the point that I met now. I wasn't always like this though, you know, I started out believing the left 'cause lies. I started out infiltrated by the hip hop culture, gold teeth. I got tattoos all over my stomach and my arms. But then I got saved in 2008, and that was the changing point for me. I got saved, turned my life around, and then I started to open my understanding to a lot of these nuances of Uncle Tom too. For so many people, Jesus is what turns their lives around. Not everybody, but you hear it over and over and over again. It happened to me, okay? When I around my 25th birthday, Jesus came into my life, blew my mind, and suddenly everything began to shift in my political views in all kinds of things. So how was it that that happened here in 2008? What led you? Can you say what led you to this conversion to Jesus? And I say this, I think that Jesus is the true awakening and true conversion. Everything else is, you know, it's probably premature. When you get Jesus, that's when everything really changed truly. Spiritually had naturally. But just like most people, you know, I was playing football at college. I was an all American coming into college things were just going down the drain for me. And I was looking for hope. I was looking for, you know, it's got real. Let me get in space. We're going to go to a break and I got a hundred follow-up questions talking to Brandon Tatum, the film, Uncle Tom two, Salem now dot com. We'll be right back. And doctor shame thank you for she again tell me Eric, why is relief factor so successful at lowering or eliminating pain? Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway. "And so, but he can only come here once we're done with this. All right, so a few things to share. First of all, in a couple of minutes, we're airing my conversation with Rebecca Hatfield about second vote. Folks, this is big stuff. We haven't aired this yet, right? I can't believe we have another. This is very important. When you hear her talk about, it sort of how we spend our money. Are we giving our money to companies with woke values and how we can change? And so this is exciting. So I always want to bring hope to our radio audience because frankly, we need hope. We need to figure out how do we move forward in a positive way. Rebecca Hatfield is my guest. And that's about how you spend money. That's number one. Number two, we're not talking about that today, but we have had one of the sponsors on this program. Is inspire investors and I want to tell people to go to this website inspire advisers dot com if you go to inspire advisers dot com slash Eric. Has anybody going to do this? I hope people do this because this is, this is the way forward folks. It's kind of like the Rebecca Hatfield thing. How we spend our money, that's up to us. We have freedom to spend our money with companies that support our values or don't. And we're going to talk about that for this hour. And actually in our two today, we're going to be talking to Brandon Tatum, which that's totally unrelated to this. But I want to remind people we're going to re air my conversation with Brandon Tatum about his life and about the new film out at Salem now dot com. But how we invest our money with if you have a 401k or an IRA, tons of those funds, they invest your money in woke corporations. And so to find out if you're invested in corporations that are woke and what to do about it, I'm asking you to go to inspire advisers dot com slash Eric. It's just one way that we can be good stewards of our money. So folks, please check that out. Inspire advisers dot com slash Eric. Okay, now Alvin. Yes. Before I've got other kind of kooky vacation stories, but before I say any of them, I also want to remind people that we've just got today and tomorrow to hit our goal. We're not there, folks. We're trying to raise money for refugees in Ukraine who are starving. This is not about the war effort. This is not about supporting the Ukraine war effort. This is about supporting the people whose lives have been torn apart. And who literally can't feed their kids. So if you go to our website, it's metaxas talk dot com. That's the radio website, not to be confused with my personal website. Eric metaxas dot com, where you should be going every day. American Texas dot com to sign up for the newsletter. But if you go to metaxas talk dot com, you'll see the banner and we want to encourage everybody. I don't know how to encourage you folks except to say that every dollar you give goes so far, every dollar is four meals. That's how far they're stretching this money. So there are hundreds of thousands of refugees who can't feed their kids, food for the poorest stepped up, but they need our help. And they're still plenty people who listen to this program who haven't been.

Brandon Tatum Is a Voice for the Truth

"Were talking about with regard to black America is that the loudest voices in black America became the voices sometimes explicitly sometimes implicitly of Marxism of atheist Marxism of division of stoking division between the races between the classes and so on and so forth. And you get sucked into that. And it's only by a miracle by God's grace that somehow you get pulled out of that and you're able to see what you see. And now you have been a voice for the truth, not just in this film, Uncle Tom too. But you have been loud and proud about this stuff. How did you get involved in doing your radio show, your podcast? What led you into all that? Because most police officers, it's interesting enough that you become a police officer. But then how do you get activated in that way? What happened to make you say, I want my voice out there? Well, it had been when I was policing and a lot of the guys that I was around, all of the guys that I was cool with, patrolling with their own conservatives. And so they were completely reiterate to me are informed me that, hey, man, you're not a Democrat. I mean, look at the policies and look at the way you stand. What are you staying with God? Look how strong you are as a Christian. They don't embody any of the Christian values that you hold dear to your heart. And then Barack Obama came out and started bashing police and I said I'd never vote for another politician ever in my life that won't stand up for the men and women that were at a uniform. And so that led me to looking over on the other side, looking at the Republicans. Because I believe that Republicans are racist white people when I was growing up. But then I said, you know what? You know, when I got saved, I said, you know, look, we're all children of God. Let me give people a fair shake. Cheap people the way I want to be treated. And let me give the Republicans a let me get a police of trial. Let me get Republicans a try. And I love big Carson. He dropped out endorsed Trump. I went to a Trump rally and I was blown away.

How Jesus Came Into the Life of Officer Brandon Tatum

"You just said, I want to ask you, again, you said Jesus came into your life around 2008. Were you full of pride? Were you just thinking so full of yourself and success that it made you lose track of what's important and that's what led you to fall apart or how did what happened? It was mostly maturity, you know? I was very humble, but I wasn't mature enough to handle the rigors of college football. You know, the coaches would cuss you out and yell at you and get in your face. And my attitude was so bad at the time that that turned into me wanting to fight the coaches and be upset and things like that and they kind of took me out of my game and I got injured in my second year. I was out for the entire season. So then things begin to go south for me. However, I grew up in a church. When you, I'll say this, I grew up in a church where the church wouldn't end me. And so when you live in Texas, you play football league go to church, no matter what. I don't care if you ate this. You're in church. If you live in Texas, so I had to retain in my consciousness, but you know, I had to give it a try as an adult. And so I went to church, I went to an apostolic church where they believe in speaking in tongs and all of that stuff and I got saved. I got baptized in Jesus name. I got filled with the gift of the Holy Spirit. And my life changed instantaneously. The

So many people, Jesus, is what turns their lives around. And darker shame thank you for she again tell me Eric, why is relief factor so successful at lowering or eliminating pain? I'm often asked that question, the owners of relief factor tell me they believe our bodies were designed to heal. That's right, designed to heal, and I agree with them. So the doctors who formulated relief factor for them selected the four best ingredients, yes, 100% drug free ingredients, each helps your body deal with inflammation. Each of the four ingredients deals with inflammation from a different metabolic pathway, and that right there approaching from four different angles may be why so many people find such wonderful relief. So if you've got back pain, shoulder neck hip knee or foot pain from exercise or just getting older, you should order the three week quick start discounted to only 1995 to see if it will work for you. "What? Brandon Tatum, welcome to the program. Thanks for having me. It's always a joy to talk to you. I saw you on the plane with your family when we were all headed down to Mar-a-Lago for the premiere of 2000 mules, so you and I are crazy enough to actually care about elections. It's good to know that I'm not the only one. Great to see you. And I want to talk to you about the film that our friend Larry elder has made, what can you tell us about the film? I mean, I told my audience a little bit about it, but how did you get to be involved in it? Well, Justin Malone, before, I guess I could say he's the genesis of this idea of exposing what really happened in the black community, the history of black people in America, the untold history. And I would argue that it's the true history, because we've been told for way too long, way too often, that black people have been just set in a plight ever since the day that we landed here in America and that we have been hated and we don't belong in this country all the way up until now. And that's not true whatsoever. And so Justin Malone had this idea he partnered with Larry elder and they created one of the most incredible films that I've ever seen and I was blessed enough to be in it. And that was the first version of Uncle Tom. And then there was a lot more to unpack in more details. I think that was, you know, to put all that in the first movie would be too much for people to stomach because it is a lot of information and a lot of shocking information. And so they came up with Uncle Tom two to expand on the ideas and show how Marxism has infiltrated the black community and we went from prospering and having hope and loving God to hating this country and to putting the government over God, not all of us, but a good number of black people. And so the movie dives into that voting Bakken who is a tremendous pastor is in the movie. I'm in the movie, and we go through all of the history, the true history, and lay it right out for everybody to see..

"The Socrates fall series. If you're signed up for the Socrates emails or if you just sign up for my email list, Eric metaxas dot com, you will have heard that today today registration is opening for our first event in what we're calling our fall series. Why are we calling it the full series? Well, number one, it's in the fall. Number two, it's a series. We start September 27th, that registration opens up today. Now, let me tell you, the early bird registration, the prices are very low. It's at cost for us. If you've attended these events, when you get there, you realize this is really special. This is a glorious club. The union league club is just a heavenly experience. And so I want to encourage you to sign up ASAP for those. The early bird price obviously is there temporarily. So if you want to go and you want to get the early bird price, jump on it, Eric metaxas dot com if you're signed up for that, you will get the email today. Maybe you've already gotten it maybe you're not signed up in which case you didn't get it. Or you can sign up for if you just want to get the sock piece in the city emails, you can go to Socrates in the city dot com. But the fall series is very exciting. We have Andrew clavin in September 27th. I know I've mentioned that a bunch of times, but we also have an event in Houston, October 12th, the 13th, I forget, with James tour who is prominently featured in my book, is atheism dead. The question is, how did life begin? Kind of a big question. We asked the big questions at Socrates in the city. That's Houston. Then November 1st, we have David berlinsky, who answers the question, what is human nature that's back here in New York? Again, November 1st. We may do an event in Denver and we'll probably do another New York event in December. Those aren't confirmed yet, but the three confirmed events registration opens up for the first one as I said today and pretty soon we'll have we'll open up the registration for the October event in Houston and the November 1st event with David berlinsky back here at the union league club. The union league club is gorgeous. If you want to come and spend a couple days in New York, we could probably get rooms for you at the union league club way better and cheaper and infinitely more luxurious than any of the hotels that you can find in New York. So that's the Socrates and the fall series. You'll get that information today. Finally, before I go to our first guest, Brandon Tatum, I want to remind you that we're doing a fundraiser with food for the poor and this is kind of, how do I, how do I say it? Salem radio. You know all the Salem radio hosts were competitive with each other. So we got Sebastian gorka. We've got Hugh Hewitt. We've got dinesh d'souza, Charlie Kirk. And Mike Gallagher and a number of others. But we're kind of competitive because food for the pork comes to us and says, we want you to reach out to your audiences on behalf of these people who are suffering and so every day we kind of get an update of how the different shows are doing. And I think I'm pretty sure my audience is a little smaller than Mike Gallagher's and Hugh Hewitt's and those are giant shows Dennis prager, but I still feel competitive with them. Now, we kind of make a fun game of something that's deadly serious. People are suffering. People can't feed their kids. That's why food for the poor steps up. That's why they come to us and say, Eric, please reach out to your listeners. We need your help. So all gifts are tax deductible. The easiest way to do it is go to metaxas talk dot com. Metaxas talk dot com. You'll see the banner there. That's our radio website metaxas talk dot com. I'm a taxis. I talk. My guests talk metaxas talk dot com. If you go there, you'll see the banner that says help Ukraine. Now earlier this week, my Salem colleague and friend Mike Gallagher raised, I can't believe this. Over $32,000 in donations by asking people, listening to his program, who could afford it to make a gift of a $100 knowing each $100 gift will pay for 400 meals for kids and families who are refugees in Ukraine. A $100 will pay for four hundred meals. That's how efficient food for the poor is. So I realized not everybody can afford a $100. But if you can, I need your help. I would like to challenge Mike Gallagher's astonishing accomplishment, you have to go to metaxas talk dot com. You will see the banner, I will also give you the phone number in case you prefer it, but anybody can give a $100. I'm just telling you, let's do it today. Please. 8 four four 8 6 three hope. 8, four, four, 8, 6, three hope. 8 four four 8 6 three hope or make it easy on yourself, go to metaxas talk dot com. Anything.

There's never been a better time to invest in precious metals, visit legacy p.m. investments dot com that's legacy p.m. investments dot com. Welcome to the Eric metaxas show with your host Eric the taxes. Hey there, happy Thursday. Alvin is not here. So I'm lost, but I'm lost even when Alban is here. So we're going to call it even. I got to tell you, I have so much to share that I'm just going to go in order. There's so many things happening. First of all, my guest today, my main guest in a couple of minutes is Brandon Tatum. Some of you know him as the officer Tatum, he is part of a film that's coming out called Uncle Tom two. Some of you know our friend Larry elder made a film called Uncle Tom. The sequel is Uncle Tom two. And it's important. Let me tell you a tiny bit about it before he comes on the program. It offers Uncle Tom too. Now you can find it at Salem now dot com, Salem now dot com. But it offers unbelievable evidence on the extraordinary strides of black Americans in the 20th century because we are being fed kind of the victim narrative. Tremendous strides of black Americans in the 20th century. The deliberate Marxist strategy to create racial tension and replace God with government horrifying, but we need to understand it. The NAACP's sinister agenda used to be a good organization. What happened? The truth behind Black Lives Matter. I've touched on these things many times on this program, but when black Americans like Larry elder and Brandon Tatum talk about this, I don't know about you, but I'm a little bit interested. So we've got him Brandon Tatum coming up. I'm thrilled. I'm thrilled. I'll share most of that. You can pre order the film Uncle Tom two at Salem now dot com. You can watch it on demand. You can get the DVD, August 26th. Anyway, Salem now dot com. So that's the first thing. Second thing, in our two today, we're doing ask metaxas. We do it every Thursday in the first segment of our two. So that is coming up tomorrow we have Kurt schlichter. If you know who Kurt schlichter is, you're already drooling. That's very exciting. Tomorrow. But on Monday, we're doing a special miracle Monday. As you know, we often do these things called miracle Mondays. Just stories that they're true. You need to hear them. They're amazing stories. And we have Jim domen trying to remember the title of his book. Jim doman, I met him when I was in San Jose, California, speaking at the church of pastor Mike McClure. And sometimes he just meet people and you think, how have I not heard this story? The title of his book, you can look it up. It's not a mistake. Parents, appearance, hope for their gay son, Jim doman, incredible story of redemption, totally miraculous. We need to know that there's hope that God is real. It is just when I met him, I said, I've got to tell your story. Have you written a book? Yeah, he's written a book. It's called not a mistake. Parents hope for their gay son. It's amazing. So that's Monday Monday, Alban will be back so much going on. We're still doing. Actually two more things. Oh my gosh, okay. Socrates,.

"At relief factor dot com. So the last thing I want to talk about Brandon and I want to just reiterate your book, beaten black and blue is where I think Republicans missed a huge opportunity with the black community. And I agree, I'm getting a little frustrated and it's not my place to say this. But how despite great communicators like you and Candace, just that the black community is still buying a lot of these lies. It's frustrating. I'll be very honest. You know what I mean? Yeah. And I see the venom you get from other blacks and Candace gets. And it bothers me. You know what I mean? It's just not warranted. But what I want to ask you is an opportunity I think Republicans miss, which is on the vaccine, which is like for you had this huge amazing opening where most blacks did not, they still don't trust the vaccine. Rightfully so. Do you think Republicans messed this up? Yeah, I think so. I think so, because this was this could have been a point in which both sides could unite, right? Because at the end of the day, we all want the same thing. Some people just believe we can get to it at a different rate or some people have been distracted to believe that there's no way of getting to it. We all want the same thing. We all want equality. We all want freedom. And when we feel like the government has infringed on us, which white people have experienced that, too. I mean, make no mistake. Black people have experiences. Yeah, but there were medical experiments of black people. 50, 60, 70 years ago, right? It was one of them. And I would argue, here's another one that's coming out. This probably gonna hit the hit the news is the the vaccine. I think it's the RNA and mRNA. No, it's maybe another way. It's one that started at him. But it's a vaccine that they give children. And it disproportionately affect young black children creating autism. And there's a whistleblower that was a part of the vaccine. I don't know what company worked for. But he's going to come out and make a statement that they knew that black children who've gotten vaccinated with this particular vaccine that's mandated. That they were dying. And they were getting autism. And having disabilities become zombies, they knew it. So that's one that's another thing that I hope black people realize that the government is experiment on young black boys, or at least they don't care. But this opportunity for Americans to say, we are in a joint effort on limited government. You're not going to disrupt our freedoms. Black, all white. And we should come together in rally. Yeah, I saw an opportunity Brandon where could serve as Republicans could have come in and said, hey, you're not going to ask blacks for their vaccine passports in New York of any color. But I just didn't see that. Especially black people. But I think it could have we could have had some inroads in the black community. Maybe I'm wrong. I know I agree with you, but you got to understand. I think that Republicans in many ways are feckless. Oh, of course they are. There's a few. I agree. I'm just saying that I was disappointed to see. For the first time in my life, you have an issue that the black people are concerned about, and we decide not to even address it. Right. You know, and it makes you wonder. It makes you want to now and I hope that they're concerned for good reasons what I'm saying though. Right, but it makes you wonder, do some of these Republicans care? I don't think they do or there's too cynical. But they don't need do they care? Are they reasonable for not caring? Or are they irrational? I think some of them they don't need to vote. I think some of them and here's where I here's where I've come down. I think some of them are kind of going in the direction that if you continued on the path you're on in the sense of just being like, man, why am I getting booed when I'm talking about? You know, some Republicans are like, you know what, screw it. I don't care. Figured out yourself. I'm gonna go win the suburbs. Right. Do you know? And I'm not there. I don't think that's ever the right thing. I think that black steep down are far more conservative than they realize, especially on marriage and life. 100%. And all that church, community, and I just think they've been fed such a propaganda campaign, but I think some Republicans are like, why would I try to win over black voters? True. And I think I'm not saying they're right. I think that there's a multifaceted, right? So if you look at it, you say, man, I need to win. Am I gonna spend in Atlanta where Brandon Tatum was speaking and go get food? And then a headline of the Atlanta journal constitution, Republicans boot off stage by black audience. No. Am I gonna do that? Because even if I do get 20% more than vote for me, I'm still not gonna use that. They're voting you're not gonna make me win. I mean, think about this is where black people I think black Americans have gotten themselves in a bind, because they've sold out to the Democrat party so hard that the Democrat party don't need them. They're sold. That's like being in a relationship with a woman and this is not what Christians do. But being a relationship with a woman, that you already got her, you're chasing the other one over here. We don't care about police and hurt. She already did. You know she ain't leave. So you're gonna go mess with this woman. And you're gonna try to court her in because you know you got her, just like the Democrats do with black people. They got you. They owned a campaign thing speaking Spanish. They were about they were about none of y'all. And that's where I see this opportunity for blacks to say, we don't want this anymore. But brother, I don't know if it's getting through. Because it's so ingrained for generations. I know. There was a dude on a CRT. He was a Fort Worth Texas, where I went to school. Was that unbelievable? Yeah. He was threatening him to be honest. I said I have an army of people armed. When he walked out, he said he locked and loaded. And so could you imagine if a white person took all black people, I got an armadillo Dale saying that it was a Klan and it claims that people say we saw the claims they would arrest him. He would go to jail and he would be charged with a hate crime. That's right. That's exactly right. You were right. That's well said. But there's black privilege in this country. Unfortunately, you know what's so funny? Is the guy on the morning The Breakfast Club? Oh, my goodness. Charlemagne, he wrote a book called black privilege, you know that? Did he? I didn't even know saying that blacks have privilege in America. We have to realize, is that so funny? I need to find a talking point for me. It's funny that he said that because he would never talk like that. He literally wrote a whole book called black privilege. Why it's best to be black in America. Yeah, that's interesting. He's changed a little bit, hasn't he? You know what I think that he, I think in his personal life, he ain't like he is. I don't know much about him. I think he will get canceled. He tolerates too much of this stuff. I'm actually not anti Charlemagne. I just think it's interesting. I think that's really interesting. So in closing, it's beaten black and blue, but Brandon, I want to have you back. I want to keep on wrestling about this. And I'd love to get Candace's opinion, just like, what is the path forward for the black community? What do we have to do better? Because I could tell you were impacted by that. Dude, it was a strike too for me. It felt like strike two. It's like one more time. Rider was number one. Ride was number one. I mean, I almost gave up on rider right there. I was like, no, but man, you know what God called me to beat me..

You got senator responsibility and that incentive to be a better man to be a better provider. So what's been your message here too young to the young people at a sas believing themselves. I mean that's that's probably number one have a good relationship with guy and believe in yourself and don't let anybody deter you from dreams and passions. Don't ever think that there's a dream just hot steamed or too radical you go for and that's what i've done is able to be here and speak. I used to be a police officer. You know nothing against being a police officer. But i have made steps to increase my influence. And that's because i believed in myself and had integrity. When i've done the things that i've done so i tell these people were leaving yourself man because a lot of people doubting themselves. That's why somebody call you. Racism took a hit until you tell between legs believe yourself. Speak life over yourself. Believe in god have agreed relationship with god and everything else. Yeah great you'll be crushing it out. There no doubt right in the last year. I love to ask all the data on the podcast. What type of advice do you half of the new dad or for that about to be father. Who's out there listening. Understand your position. You know what i'm saying. You the leader. No excuses man of the house you need to take your position is going to be hard. It maybe tougher sometimes. But it's only just you make have a relationship with god that's your father. Write the the heavenly father is perfect. Example of a father you know understand and just keep perseverance. It's going to be hard. You know especially follows married with children your wife go get on your nerves. Sometimes that doesn't mean you need to leave. They don't mean to walk away. That doesn't mean that you need to act out of character. It means that you need to step up and character. You know me and my wife. We don't get along all the time you know. We argued about things but you know at the end of the day. I don't go put. My wife says she was wrong. I go back and say baby. I'm sorry from when i you'll never apologized to me for what i did. I'm i'm sorry. I'm going to be a better man and that's what i do is try to be a better man every day and i think we should do that. Implement that without children. You know discipline your children as you see fit but understand that the sacrifice you make now is going to benefit them tremendously future very well said. I love the message. Just an honor for me. "Alleys live here at turning point. Usa joined by. I last father brandon. Tatum thank you. Forgive me a few minutes time. Who my pleasure my pleasure. Oh let's start right here. How many kids do you have how old i have two children. I have a five month. Old and i have a ten euro. So there's a big difference between the ages. But i have two boys and i'm very proud very going for the girl here all done girl. I don't want any girls. That guy gave me a girl. I will receive that in. Accept that. But i think we're done. I think we've probably the i. I said the same thing on the fourth trial. We got the girl so We got three boys and a girl so So how old were you. Then you said of heroes. How old were you when you first became a down and had to becoming a father kind of change your perspective on life. Yeah i think. I was like twenty three or twenty two twenty three years ago It was in a critical point in my life. Because i wasn't married which which i don't advocate. Please don't get don't have to lock if you can. you can avoid it. wasn't there. I was in transition period. In my life where i was in the nfl draft that didn't get drafted and i was looking for opportunities. I needed a career. Because i had. I had responsibilities and i couldn't keep chasing a that was not occurring as relates to football saw really needed to step up and be the father in my family and provide and so i. I took the job as a police officer when became available And that's what really propelled me into the success. That i have today and and it really helped me be a stable father and give my child stable. Dan in an environment of when he grew up even dove him with him in his mom. And i weren't too right. Well that's one big thing that's helpful as co if you can find a co parenting relationship that works because as you mentioned there too. We have so many kids that are growing up without a father. Fatherless prices and i talk about it all the time but you met through. It's like one of the things to avoid. Poverty in this country is not have kids to married graduate high school and get a job. It's very simple things to do. It's not like it's a long list that to accomplish. Unfortunately because god had his panel me even though idea something. I shouldn't have done. He had his hand on me and gave us opportunities to be successful even as parents who had not had an established career. And then now you know obviously my youngest son. I'm mary in a week. My wife had our first child and so both of those dynamics are very interesting because although my son's mom and our i'm still in his life he's actually with me to summer in his life. I'm consistent in commun- phone anytime he needs to. I'm involved even though i'm not there you most of ours. What's been his response to your five-month-old you're younger. Show was he's excite. He's led to a big brother. You know my son is. He's an incredible blessing. He's this he's an easy kid. Ever he was easy when he was a baby. Nappies scott such a warm heart and and a genuine young man. And i'm very proud of and and i'm proud to to give him a sibling. Very cool what. What would you consider to be the top values that you're hoping to still in your boys grow enough integrity do the right thing when nobody's watching I want him to understand in have a relationship with god and to take his rightful position in society. You know. he's a leader born leader. His father's a leaders grandfather's leader. I want him to understand the value of the family name and put all of those things together be successful. I want him to not fall into the trap of racism and all this crap. And i want him to be a man believes in hard work and dedication payoff off very well said about as far as disciplined brandon. What's your discipline. Style is a dad and is that different than the discipline style. That you grew up with my dad was a little more aggressive. You i remember my but will Because i didn't do the dishes when i was supposed to. I had my friend dear. It's over the house and my dad said don't have nobody over the house while i'm at work i thought was cool. I guess he wasn't. You know so i got my butler son. I started out with that. You know he'd get in trouble. I'll have to get him. But now i mean ever since he was two and of course i went with him with the bill was tube. I give him a pop hand pop on his But now i don't even have to thank the know what time of day it is. I tell them you need to do this or you have to get you. He knew exactly what that means. And i don't know how to put my hand on. Which which. I'm happy to tonight because i don't want i feel like violence. You know whippings pretty violent. Some pretty sometimes. They need it. But if i can. My son is a thinker like me. He's logical in. It's more effective to talk to him than it is the spank him so. I'm glad that i don't have to do now. he listens. I'll say this of my four kids. They respond to different discipline styles. Because i have one kid. I get spanked them all day long. And it isn't gonna have any effect i have one. I could just threaten. It's enough to straighten amount of and you know what i grew up with that kind of philosophy of a hate. Just wait until your father comes home and that was enough to kind of keep me straight and i think we talked about not having the fathers in the home. You see these kids. That are doing the writing the breaking the windows and stuff like that. If i would. I would rather the police get me than my father. And if you don't have that fear of it it just seems like having all this past we're trying to solve all these other social issues brandon but unless we strengthen the nuclear family units country. I just think we're just gonna just keep running around at circles will let me tell you it. Is you know. I got arrested when i eight years old. Smoking marijuana vacant house now. My dad didn't know that we were doing this. We were hoping to god that my cousins parents come pick us up and we act like it never happened. But mr tatum was called and my daddy came in there. Like a wrecking ball. Right he was gonna kill us and everything in front of the police. Now i'll tell you the of that. Is that my father. I was more afraid of my father. And i respect him more than what police could ever do. They can arrest thousand times. Who would miss. The tatum showed up to their seen. Soda a holding sale and we understood that we have to be held accountable for we. Did it changed my life. There is no government program. There's no after school program. There's no diversion of money from police into activities in the community. Deca replace my dad. There was nothing nobody can do. Except my dad. Come in there and saying look you'd be held accountable for what you're doing and changed my life..
