"Then we thought spare bedroom. And then i would. I would tuck my shirt into my pants. I would get in my car. I would come home. And i would talk to you before i go to bed aka play video games in bed and i would feed the chickens and then get a hot tub obviously naked because it's a therapy hot tub exactly and then in the morning i would doubt crush it up my job by killing insects yay so fun. I hate that you've made made us them but it's fine. We can live willett. I mean you are the nipple king. He knows you know he. He was that after the he knows me. But i'm not him and he is not me. Yeah i don't know okay. Well it's it's a thing. So they basically they talk it out. And i say they talk it out but basically brandon says julia sees things as she. Has this jealousy. Streak that is not. Great and brandon also employs while. I'm not going to have any friends soon if this keeps happening. And she's you have meat. That's it you're good. And he says he needs more than one person people more than one person in their lives. She says for what now. Tell me here which who's side are you on in this. Neither can i pick neither is that. Is that an option. I mean i'm probably ultimately on weight in terms of who you need like if you need multiple people so you're asking me basically what i'm trying to ask you is based on this exchange. Who's school of thought. Do you subscribe to brandon's absolutely. I think that that's actually. I read an article about this once. That was maybe. It's a podcast. I know i don't remember but anyway it was about this whole concept of when you get in a relationship. You sometimes have a tendency to use that person for all of your other relationships and you neglect your other relationships. But not that's not necessarily going to be the case for everybody right. You might need friends outside of that or support with other members of your family. And i think it i think different handle things differently but i definitely subscribe to brandon school of thought right. I don't like i need my work friends. I like having my work friends. 'cause there's things i just can't talk about with you not that you don't care wouldn't be understanding athetic but it would just take a lot of back story to explain a bunch of science stuff you I wouldn't get it ultimately. I wouldn't get your work stuff. I get it on the surface. I'm like oh that thing. That experiment worked amazing. Love that for you. that's awesome. I'm glad you're doing well. But then i wouldn't know the final of like yes. So the the micro ouray facility dished meow to play the cells and d foot them and now they don't have fee and then i kinda like put it under a microscope. Examine it. But then oh i got to go into this freezer. That's minus forty degrees to grab some other cells and then put e. cells away and then i gotta feed the fish using the little beaker like it's.

"Events. ESPN about the New York Mets getting Francisco Linda or Hey, with T. M says it's called the Mets doing with the Brooklyn Nets did but the Brooklyn Nets It seemed that Kyrie Irving decided that he was not going to play. But no one could get in contact with him. Steve Nash, the head coach, He tried. He had not that had any information about why carry Irving was not going to play for the Brooklyn Nets tonight, and nobody knew exactly why. Now reports have come out, according to my man, Brandon School. Jack Brandon. Scooby does a great job. Robinson doing a great job coming for heavy dot com. He says Carrie Irving's reasoning for not playing and I am Fitzsimmons per close source. I'm going to read the words as verbatim. I just didn't want to play quote, end quote. Don't be surprised. Seriously is Carrie Irving. Anybody really surprised? I mean, this is this is a young man who forced his way. From out of Cleveland because he didn't want to play with LeBron James anymore. Guys like Anthony Davis are begging to play with the Bron. James. Most of the league would beg to play with LeBron James carry, Irving said. No, no, no, no. I want to be the man. I mean, I want to be the guy. I'm iron man. I'm you know, he He's wasp writer Hitman or whatever. I'm the guy that he goes to Boston, right? And it was like death by 1000 cuts and look, Look what happened in Boston. After Kyrie. Irving left happier. I said, Why happier? And his Campbell Walker guys so much more fun to play with. He actually loves the game. It isn't a jerk. And now you have Kyrie going to Brooklyn. And with the moment he went there, would you not talk about Brooklyn. You know what you're getting. Yeah. You hope you know what, you get it. It's death by 1000 cuts and then you get the dagger in the back. So here's here's a little gash. Right? Because you know what? I didn't want to. Okay? I'm not surprised. I'm sure Steve. I'm sure I'm sure Steve Nash is kind of Graduate, his head going. You didn't want to play. You're being paid to play and you just didn't feel like it Well, but I'm not surprised. We all have been there. There's certain days that you just don't want to go to work. You don't want to be bothered whether it's bill from Christmas gifts that you don't know how you're gonna find the money to pay for them. Or maybe you didn't get the right Christmas gift makes my broke up with you over the holidays. We all have had that moment, you know? Not today. But you can't do that. You carry Irving without any reason. If you say Hey, whatever went on. Yes, I doubt the capital of you deal with a personal issue. If you want this responsibility, calorie, Irving, you can't just say I just didn't want to play, but you don't tell your head coach. You don't tell your teammates. You don't tell anybody your organization. I'm never gonna fault humans for being human. Everybody has those moments when you just wanna be no matter what's going on inside your head or outside your head. But if you want to be this guy covering urban if you want to tell us all that all all season in fits, and he said, I've learned so much from the past to be a better person, not a better player. But a better person. This is not being a better person. If you didn't want to play, I get it. Do you have your head coach? Not knowing why, and he can't get in contact with you. And then we have to hear Per a source from somebody on Twitter that you just didn't want to play broadcast, Irving. You can't do that. You can't. I don't disagree with you, but I'm not surprised that he did it. It's pathetic that he did it. But Yeah. I mean, this is this is who the guy is. This is how he was in Cleveland. And remember that Yeah. The Cavs were nothing until LeBron came home. No, he hit these shots. But without LeBron your 30 win team, You know, I mean, maybe Tops. LeBron comes back. Bam! You gotta Lario. You get all Betty Crocker? Because he's getting all that all the attention. You've got a Boston We just laid it out. Is anybody really surprised? Isn't wrong. Hell, yes, Is it One of the worst things a teammate can do. I don't wanna play. But yeah, it's one of the worst things you can do because you other guys are out there busting their butt tonight without you, but when I am not surprised. Maybe he felt like going for a long walk on the flat Earth. I don't know. But that that's just who he is. And I'm not surprised. He's even Simpson, Freddie Coleman and Freddie and Fitz Simmons on ESPN Radio, the ESPN app and sues ex Inshallah 80 The worst thing about this Not that he didn't want to play to me. That's Don't say it in material or relevant. It's the way he went about it that bothers me more than anything else. Now, Steve Nash has to explain why your absence or why you weren't there. You're putting other people in the position that they have to speak on the account when it comes to you and your Kyrie Irving if they're supposed to be, this person has matured. While you have other people have to carry your water for you again, based on the fact that today that you didn't want to be bothered playing, or you just didn't feel like point. So why won't you not explaining that? Why were you the person not explain that Carly Irving instead of having other people doing that, who couldn't get in contact with you? I didn't know where you were. That's just a common courtesy of Calling your coach And just telling him again. If you're just tuning in Steve Nash multiple times tried to get in touch with Kyrie. Irving to see one of you. Okay too. Are you Are you coming to work tonight? And he ghosted, his head coach..

"Of basically, my grandmother, and grandfather were listed in the survey grandmother, specifically because that's where my native line comes from, and she was listed, as a cripple, and, and it tracked her and her mother and her mother father and her father saw there. So it goes back multiple generations to try to find out the source of who the family members are, and then branch out from there, who the siblings were so they could track all of the relatives. So for sterilization, now, you said your, your grandmother was listed, quote, unquote, as cripple would wish she actually did. She have a disability physical limitation. Some guy she did when she was young, while she was married and basically. Contracted polio. I see. And my mother actually had to leave school in order to help her while she was bedridden and also the other siblings at different points for life, so she she was crippled from polio. And so anyway, I mean and yet. I. Well, we talk about these pseudoscience and the pseudo silly pseudoscience of thinking that by by somehow controlling birth rates. We control for the instance of polio, which, by the way, also affected a president of the United States of that era fr- Franklin Eleanor Roosevelt. I don't know that anybody tried to sweep him up into the jenex movement. But I mean does that strike? You as weird and ironic that the president and your grandmother shared, this, this tragic disease and, and the different outcomes and treatments. Why don't really think it was weird because that's not why it was targeted for the jenex it wasn't because she was crippled because like you said many people including Euro-American people contracted diseases, and, and we're cripple. She was listed, because of the fact that. We had made French Lineas, you know, it wasn't. She was just listed there as being documented as being cripple that was just an offshoot. I don't that wasn't why she got in the ways that you would get into the jenex program as either a you were truant in school. So then they start looking at you, you ask for systems, and, you know, for health for some reason, or you were got in trouble than once she wants one of those things happened. And they start looking at who you were what your family situation, was and started determining if it was something that needed to go further because a lot of lot of people were either sent to the Brandon school for boys or Saint Joe, the girls will go to Saint Joe's orphanage or the industrial school. So that way, they would have people who were taken from their homes, where the putting the industrial school or if you were. Too bad in which in Vermont state prison system. So I mean there's a long history of, of where people would be placed. We know what happened was Saint Joe's, obviously, that's been news. Recently said, that's where the girls would go. There's a lot of Avonex women that were at in the orphanage, and my grandmother was actually putting into orphanage but was transferred to DC during some of these movements and my, my her brother and up, actually getting her out of, of that later on and, and helping to raise her. So it was a difficult time. And my grandmother, actually changed her name three times to avoid the survey. Which is, which that's why it's some some family is so hard to track because on the bad side was that she had to change your name three times. But on the on the positive side a use those eugenics records to normally learn more about some of my own family lineage. Through the eyes of someone who doesn't like you, but also to use it to show that Avonex people never left the state of Amonte. Because for a long time, the attorney general mister sorelle was he fought against the some of the federal petitions for recognition and said that all Avonex people actually were in Canada. They didn't live in Vermont, because that's why they wanted tonight they the federal petition but using their own documents, I was able to show that we never left, and they tracked from place to place, so they couldn't deny their own words, and it also showed that my great grandfather was chief of his tribe, and he sell any sold baskets, and, and horses, and they traveled from place to place and they, you know, there's a lot of groggy toy terms used for us. You know that they use the call gypsies or river rats or other things that were desirable. So you always had the. To look at it through through a lens of people who, who did like you so much. And, and I have a Ruffin vague understanding that there was some real damage done to the population of people who thought of themselves as ABN Aki during this period. I mean, obviously there, there may be an overall trend year across decades or even a century or more of people losing their heritage in part because of their they're trying to avoid prejudice. Essentially. And in was that particularly acute during this time of, of the, you know, in the twenties, and thirties when this genyk survey was going on able, especially my ancestors. I mean their whole goal life was to survive by anything that would put you at a disadvantage. You tend to wanna do like my grandmother being being targeted and having the change your name three times. It's not exactly. She wanted to raise her hand and say, she's I've an active to the public because she'd be ostracized and look down upon. I mean charity had enough. Trouble was being, you know, crippled and, and then trying to survive and depression, and all of those things that, that just Deepal struggle on a daily basis. So you know if you can if you can blend into the woodwork and not now. Not be out in front saying, hey, look at me or here. I am you. You did everything you could to survive in in at that time. Vermont was ninety eight percent white. I mean, and we were the minority people, so we were the target so K and other another groups who thought that our gene pool was undesirable and they wanted us to, to be not here anymore. So but because we mixed with French we have a waiter complexion. I mean, we you know, so it was easier to try to blend into society because of your appearance. Yeah. It's interesting to me that the AB Nak folks who were who were present in, in, what's now, you know, Vermont and also Quebec you said he mixed with French more easily. It seems as though than with the English descended settlers in his part of the world. Any idea why that would be? I mean why the French were white Europeans and seemed to be better able to integrate and in intermarry, and all the rest of it with native folks? Then the English settlers did what was up with that? Yeah. Well, if you know your history, this was all France in France. So the French occupied this side of the lake all the way from Quebec City, all the way down through Mont, New Hampshire and they were the British were on the New York side. And I think the philosophy difference was that the English look at that Iraq quoting confederacy or, or the year, coin people as subjects that were different than them and. The French they wanted to learn and integrate into our population. So they could understand how to survive more. They were more integrated into the countryside, and that's they had a different philosophy. And they also wanted to Christian is this. I mean the Jesuit missions, there was two missions of remark from the seventeen hundreds, one on the Connecticut river in the cost meadows in one on at Cisco so they could catch people coming up and down the lake or the Connecticut river. So that way they could Christian is in Burke are people to, you know, Christianity and easy. Thanks, French missionaries, then it was more commercial thing with the with the Catholics than within which Protestants, correct. So they tried to educate us, I guess, or, or, or save us or whatever you wanna call it. Yeah. Yum, and there there's a thing called the judge relations. It's a book out there that did a lot of they were great at documenting. Yeah. And, and now and now you're using that to actually trace your heritage. That's pretty fascinating that, that they left this, refresh me on our fill me in on the on the proper pronunciation here chief, the let's see the word is. How do you how do you describe your your your? Well, it's. Yeah, there's many pronunciations who saw Cowan suck Kusaba means pine. So where people the pine, so, no. He would be placed the wooden fish traps. Kusak will be pines and is of dawn, or the first lights, so into people would know those people in the wooden fish traps, who live in pine sushi. The first late day that's the way we would be known. Okay. Are there different sort of geographies to the different and is the is a band sort of a subgroup of, of the tribe, or tell me how the whole kind of nomenclature works here? Normally if you know, like Alaska where you have family minds some, and they still operate, they're the same as we do have family bands, so families would together, and they would travel from place to place and be assigned resources like some people may be in the know Higa river. Some people may be on the CLYDE river. Some people may be lake Willoughby and crystal lake and then periodically you'd come together to have around e booze. So where you could conduct business marriages do ceremonies and all of those things periodically. And then we would winter in the in the forest and then in the summers we go to the these fun plug planes to our crops, so ban just family band. That's why the jenex when they when they when they actually got a hold of one family. It was easier for them to track all the family because. We stayed together. I see. Okay. So last Friday, the speaking of the jenex movement, which is what prompted this whole conversation here. Thomas Sullivan, the outgoing president of the university Vermont issued in apology over the university's role to. In, in the in the genyk survey of nineteen twenty five thirty six and. Let's see if. Police said let's move forward together as an educational community to ensure that such a grave injustice. Never be repeated by providing relevant accessible education initiatives going forward. We have an opportunity to better come to terms with the past in learn from these tragic lessons. The president of the euro Vermont was really pretty bold. I thought in in. In, in emitting, the guilt, the sort of institutional guilt, I offer sincere apologies for the suffering that resulted from this unethical in regrettable. Part of our legacy Sullivan said at one point in the in the statement issued last Friday, and I and it sounded to me, like you were you were you were gratified to hear that to some extent? Well, yeah. I mean, I've been speaking with Tom and other people over the last several months, I've been working with you've been UVM for quite a few years now. But specifically on this issue. I think I, I wanna say, I do appreciate the fact that they did this because they didn't have to, I mean, they morally they needed to, but they didn't technically have to ever done it for so many years. But I told him you know, you're leaving as president, what better legacy for you in the board to leave on is to acknowledge what happened and, and he'll so we can all he'll 'cause it's like any festering wound. It's going to continue to give your problem until you can actually knowledge where the where the problem comes from how to and had a address it properly, and how the he'll forward, so I give them a gift town, a lot of credit and the board of trustees, and it's also a changing.
