"Don't know. It's been so much surprise, Just considering the fact that the schedule hasn't been in his dawn. Thing is, I think a lot of big 10 teams that face But you know, in this in this coded year, you could only do what what you could do in front of you. And this is the schedule they have. They lost their one big nonconference game due to, uh, N C state having a positive test. So you know, you kind of have to adjust. They got a lead on the schedule, and it worked out. But, yeah, I've been pretty impressed with what I've seen so far. And I mean, hey, you get a win on the road in the big 10. You'll take that. I don't care if it's Nebraska or visit Michigan State or Iowa at wins going to be a precious one. Hey, look at the top of the big 10. You see northwestern Michigan, Not a lot of people were saying that early with this college basketball delayed season began Michigan back in action on New Year's Eve and seven o'clock at Maryland. Then they'll get Northwestern. At home on January 3rd and those opening two victories against Penn State in the Brask. I really loved the way they grinded. They had total team play from Point guard to the wings to inside with Dickinson, who Has emerged as the second best big men in the Big 10 right now behind Garza are your thoughts on this Michigan basketball team and to know in the big 10? Yeah, I think they taking care of business against a couple of teams that I think are a little bit better than people thought. Certainly Penn State probably did not come into this season, many thinking they were going to be A legitimate N C a a Tournament team. But, you know, I think they've got that capability. Nebraska's not, you know, in the Big 10. They're probably the worst team in the league. But you know, that was the first game that Michigan and travel Shoes since the Big 10 tournament last year. It was Christmas Day, so she just get out of there with a win. Overall, I've been really impressed. I think Mike missed. Explain well, and you know, for a guy who last year is playing in the Ivy League. He's been able to come in and be a 30 minute. A guy kind of night kind of player. Which Jack I don't think many people thought that was gonna be the case here. I broke city like Brooks. He's going to do what he's gonna do. You know hunters in the huge surprise, not just that he's contributed, but how he's contributed on I still think that there's more for guys like Franz Wagner, Isaiah livers and showing the Brown Jr to give and I think we started to see a little bit of that this past Friday, so with With Shawn D. Contributing Isaiah contributing and Franz Wagner having the best game he's had old season. He could do that, and that was the first time I think we saw all three of these guys come together and play. You know, a complete game together is one supposed to. Hey, you know, Sandy had a good game here. Franz and Isaiah didn't get theirs. You know, Franz had a good game. Isaiah really didn't alter even played really? Well. Bush voice of Michigan basketball is joining us on the draft Kings guess sign here in the huge show across Michigan. New Year's Eve. 7 P.m., Michigan at Maryland will get Northwestern coming up on January 3rd one thing that I really liked about this team as they navigate a bunch of new faces and bodies, all playing together. How Smith has been vey leader and his ability to dish at the point we talked about Dickinson Wagner was awesome, but their defense what Shandy Brown did in the second half. At Nebraska their defense when they needed it against Penn State. That to me has been the most impressive thing about this Michigan basketball team. They're d. Yeah, I mean, this. This is a program that you know has always been very good. Offensively. We saw them at times with Luke Jac, which is kind of the defensive coordinator. Be Just outstanding defensively, and last year was a step back statistically, but I think Michigan felt like coming into this season. They have that capability to be a defensive type of a team, and I think you know that's why I think people who were wondering over what's going out front vodka. Franz is suspended really well, and you add that was Shawn D. Brown Jr and what he can bring to the table and I mean here I broke I can't say enough good things about what he's brought to the table, especially from that defense event. I mean, he put away the Penn State game, and I think What's so important about Mike Smith is that Smith and his ability to play 20 minutes coming from Heglig. No one knew that for certain coming into this season, but that allows Eli to play it that to spot to be able to, you know, be kind of the off guard and still take that huge defensive assignment. I wonder where this team would be it. Mike Smith wasn't up to snuff and Eli maybe had to take on more point guard responsibilities. Only negative. The thing that's pulsing at me. We saw it a little bit with Dickinson wasn't on the floor that when Dickinson does take a blow, or when he Gets into foul trouble that not having Austin Davis has his back of which was a huge luxury. And actually, Dickinson was backing up Davis before he got hurt. You know John's Williams the big in the paint their minus, Dickinson really exposes what I think is the only weakness right now in this Michigan basketball team. Yeah, I think it's fair. And I think that's where Brandon John's juniors so vital to this team because he can be that small ball five. He has that capability and they could play even smaller. They could play with a lineup where Quote Unquote five is a terrorist Williams or even in Isaiah Livers, But this team would need some rebounding. And John's can provide that. We've seen it. At times. We've seen those flashes, but yeah, I think you're seeing right now. Just how valuable I think A lot of people got caught up in Hawaii is Austin Davis starting over 100 Dickinson. And to me, it didn't really matter a whole lot because after the first couple of games You kind of knew. Hey, hundreds probably gonna play. You know 28 to 32 minutes, depending on foul trouble on how the game's going and Austin has gotta got Austin has to gobble up 12 minutes or so if it's the beginning of the half at the end of the half, very huge difference in that. I think Austin's 12 minutes were massive. We don't know what his status is right now. Brandon John's junior. He could fill that void, plus help out of the four for another +56 minutes. It would open up a lot of possibilities. And, you know, Brandon John Jr is more talented than Austin Davis. He's got that in him. It's a matter of on mocking it somehow, some way It really is that that's the only thing because I agree with you that you know Wagner. You watch what he did, and the brass delivers will have those big games. I know he's lead the team in scoring, and I just think there's an upside there. You know, Smith doesn't have to score a lot in his role being the point. You know, he's a he's Simpson light right now, and I just think John's and agree and whether whether it's Howard Developing Terrance Williams..

"His sports talk 10 50 wtkk, but tickets 11 46 to play here in this second half Michigan leading this season opener against Bowling Green 61 to 47 Michigan. Paced by Isaiah Livers, 15 points, Mike Smith with 14 and Terry all of a sudden, Shawn D. Brown with eight here in the second half. He's on that bronze medal. Stand with nine for the Wolverines. Yeah, shooting the ball. What a lot of company! You know it started with him on that defensive and I really thought that he took his match up personally when it came to defense on that end, and is the security over it. Just let kids know that it's not all about offense. Sometimes you could do something else to get yourself going and his reward was he got played defense in the first half. Now he's getting rewarded for the second half. Michigan will be back in action coming up on Sunday. It'll be Oakland's come into town start of a lengthy stretch here at whole, Michigan will not travel until Christmas Day for a match up with Brassica. Bowling green, Oakland Ball State and central Florida the first four then they've got NC state in the Big 10 a CC challenge before the conference opener on December the 13th against Head state Michigan coming out with Smith, Brown, Lochner, Johns and Dickinson. Daequan Cloud will go to the line. He's got 13 bowling dream their box scores as you'd expect. Cloud with 13. Justin Turner has 14 no one else with more than seven clouds. First free throw Gets PG within 13. Yeah, the thing that you couldn't have had when you talk about that box score is one of those guys go off. Be on what they normally do that would make this game something else, you know, So Mister is doing a good job containing these guys and making them earning second free throw follows. The first Michigan's lead is that it does in 11 45 to play second half Smith creeps his way past the center line Now to the left side, Dickinson right wing by John End of Wagner, who lays it in on the right block. Brandon John's juniors had a couple of great passes today. Yes, he has in. You know, Michigan is just making the right place. I mean, Franz boxes working inside and he gets a guy front me. It's about swinging that ball and let's catch the guy on his back. Turner drives all the way right block. He misses the land, but the parents want outta bounds. Last touched by Michigan would like tickets to the last to touch it. And it will stay with the G 20 on the timer. Is he live? Brooks comes in to replace Mike Smith. Baseline, right? David Ziegler toe. Loading up their towards loud. John's goes for the steal, and he is unable to keep it in bounds, charging just beyond the head Coach of Bowling green, Michael Hugo, one more space along Baselines of the sidelines with not a whole lot of people here. Yeah, because if he had took that type of run toward that baseline would have bench there. He they cleared out like bowling pins over there. Guys would have been been going down over there. 63 49, Michigan, Right Wing. A three from digs is pure and B g hanging around. They haven't led today, but it's an 11 point game. Stop it for a moment. And are they gonna call delay of game? It was I'm camp Young So Michigan now gets into its offensive possession. Brooks has it at the right wing. Across wing ground angles to the left corner floats back out. Brooks did defense for B G, but they lost Johns who played it in, But there was a whistle beforehand. And that's fortunate for bowling green that make want cloud and picked up the foul because Brandon John Jr was wide open for an easy layup. Yeah, what I've seen from Michigan. A lot of improvement is on that weak side where Normally you would have guys a year ago, spotting up for three point shots. Now you got guys cutting and going to the basket. Wagner drives right block lays it in. And one lets out a little bit of a roar. Good to see from Franz Wagner after getting a little shaken up in that first half. Shaken up with Baker's dozen Wagner with a chance for one more. That's a grown man moved there, and he's showing his strength here. I mean, taking the hit and finishing at the room, so France Wagner to the strike. Going to become the third Wolverine to get two double figures free throw up. It's off to the left so remaining 13 point Michigan lead in Wagner's frozen nine points. Daven Zigler, the rebounder brings it up in between the circles to the orange clad Falcons out of the mid American conference and their home opener coming up Saturday against South Carolina State. Ziegler driving lays it up? No, but he's going to the line after a Brandon John Jr found will be a free throw opportunity for a bowling green team. That is 13 of 15 from the strike. They taking advantage of these opportunities. Ziegler, Mrs. There. Yeah, who is a guard? Now? Three of five from the line today make it three of six that would barely got to the front iron Strange from a 78% free throw shooter a year ago. Rebound. Michigan They still lead by 13 10 10 to play second half Eli Brooks left wing bounce feed into our Dickinson. He was tangled up with Justin Turner. And they're gonna get the foul on Turner. It's his 2nd 100 Dickinson. Thanks to that being bowling Green, a Team foul will have a one on one opportunity. It's tickets. It's first career collegiate free throw attempts, southpaw, Let's apply and misses it. Too.

"All the shows you missed special guests. I am especially excited about the count guests. We about to have on the show, but I have great news one individual in France, one billionaire has already pledged held on onto your seats two hundred million dollars to rebuild enough for them. That is stunning stunning news. That's guest guest. Is none other than the president of the border protection council. Brandon John this job you on the line ESPN's back to be with you. Thank you. Thank you for joining us. You've been doing sterling work explaining the reality of the situation. As I understand it. You actually on the border right now. I am I am on the border where I'm about out -tingency of US congressman to the human border to let them be firsthand. Exactly at happening. We took out Senator Johnson last night in L Paso to get an idea because what's happening in. And frankly, if I opening for them, they don't realize how bad it is. Okay. So I I don't I don't want to steal your thunder. I want us to questions number one. Brandon judd. Is there a crisis of the southern border of the United States? I've been a border patrol agent for twenty one years, and this is the worst crisis that I've ever seen. And I was in the thick of it in the early to mid two thousand when they said that was crisis back, then there is nothing like what we need to give it tastes to our listeners of just how bad it is. And the first things first let me let me just thank you. And all the people who work in CB in is in h aside the DHS who wear uniform carry a badge with protective body on because they are standing on the frontline protecting us. I thank you America. Thanks you. Give us examples of just how bad the situation is right now. So in the early to mid two thousand when I was a chilling the border in the Tucson sector. We were the busiest second the entire nation too busy effector in the history of the border patrol. We were arresting people at a record pace. But when we would arrest them, we would process them, and we would send them right back to Mexico within a couple of hours we within arrest that same group of people within the same shift. And so we were making a lot of arrests, but we were arresting to think people over and over and over again now that's not the case we are arresting more people than we have ever seen before in the Indian tire history of the border patrol. And you're talking about nearly one hundred years history wide, and we're being told we're being told that there is no increase. We're being told by the media by the Democrats that the is that the figures are not exceptional. Europe, very intelligent individuals know that that's not true to know that that's politics. We all know that your listeners know that that politics. This is the radical left is trying to convince the American public that there's nothing going on your jet. I mind trick nothing to see here winning reality completely and totally out of control. Now, the good thing is is because of the sheer numbers, and because we're pulling all of our agents off the line and leaving the line at the border completely open. They're having to recognize like Johnson are now coming out and speaking out about it. Mark Morgan's the former chief of the board cylinder. Oh bombing. He's now coming out and speaking out of out about the this is this is a big deal. Second question a tactical operational question. Is it illegal for the commander in chief to release the legal aliens that have to be released in sanctuary cities? Brandon jut absolutely not. In fact, we've already done that we. We transport people from El Paso Tucson. There is nothing illegal about us deciding where the most advantageous place to release these individuals are either for them or for the United States government is completely and totally legal. And when the Democrats say that it's not legal. You'll notice that they never site eating law. Right. What what? This might get me in trouble with my old, boss. Why are we releasing a legal aliens in America? Because we just don't have the best base. Why why don't we have the bedspace congresses? Giving us the fun to have the best base. The other thing is that we have to overcome. We also have to overcome certain cases, the ninth circuit court of appeals case, the the we know I'm sorry. Florida's decision has armed. It says that we have to release juvenile's within twenty days there with their family members because that outcry over the family separation. We've ended a relief juveniles and their parents with them which is which is causing this phenomenon of people coming up in bringing their children with them. That's what we're seeing today. These are loophole. They learn how to export them. They are very good at exploiting them. The cartels are making billions of dollars on exploiting. Our loopholes our law in Datta stop. Okay. So the I'm still in touch with my old buffs. Let's say he's listening to this program. Well, let's say somebody who works for him is listen to this program. He watches FOX. He gets other sources of information. Brennan Judd, you've been working this for more than a generation, you say, this is the worst you've ever had it you said, you should become a political football. What does the president of the United States need to do right now to stop the crisis? What does he need to do in the next sixty days? And what does he need to do in the next six months? The one thing that I really appreciate about this ministration hit. They're constantly thinking outside of the box. They're looking at how can we solve issues without going to congress? Knowing the conches not Jimmy things are Congress's congress. President right now is considering get to tightening order the agents and giving them limited asylum officer sword in order for us to conduct credible energies, if we do that and individual sales credible theory day are then subject to deportation within a few weeks instead of two to five years as is the Karm prophet. So you can see what he's doing. You think outside the box. Hang okay it. Congress isn't going to be part of solution. I'm gonna kick them behind me. And I'm going to move forward with what I can do under my current afford. So that you ties ING CPA offices as as jewel headed asylum officers. That's correct. Yes, I giving giving cvt officers limited asylum officer thorny to conduct credible. Not the full gamut. We have the time to get it. Right. But we can infect him that critical for energy at the moment. We we take these individuals in the wonderful. Okay. What what else to talk to me about personnel funding and talk to me about the physical barrier. On the physical barriers what everybody has to understand about barriers is that goes to wreck towards the criminal aliens, special interest country, eight months, the drugs that are coming across because of the silent loopholes, even if you cross over the even if you crawl over the fence, you can still claim a Silom in kickoff that process, but what the physical barriers to it Cates, where illegal narcotics criminal aliens birthday cross. And it allows us to be a lot more effective in in our jobs. We've seen that over and over and over again, I work pre wall I've worked post wall. And I can personally tell you that walls are extremely effective in helping us control and answer for of K. This has been an incredible interview. I hope that when you're in Washington, we can have you in studio for a longer discussion one last question to Brandon John president of the border patrol council. Follow him, Brandon Judd one hundred on Twitter. What would you say to those? Americans regular tax payers who believe that. We don't need a wall. And there is no crisis. What is the one thing? You would say to the Mr. Trump. I would say the wrong. What would be the first thing that I would say is that the wrong and fight down to actually look at the evidence. Look at the statistic anybody that looks at that it's door fair-minded individual. If you're open to the troops will have to acknowledge what's happening. Facts. Indisputable facts from Brandon John a man who's been working this for more than twenty years who has never seen it worse than it is today,.

They lease them up against the gophers at home in January kind of a seesaw game came right down to the end. You mentioned all the close contests. They've had of Lakewood. Michigan Suzhou completely have Richard Pitino is number three straight wins and twelve out of the last thirteen decisions have gone through the maze and blue. Let's see too because in addition to be tremendous defensively, they don't turn over offense. So extensive copy one time trying to end up on the highlights and have a huge. They haven't been able to really get any transition voice you lined up. Michigan is so good defensively. Jonoski get ready to check in John's for Michigan is battling the flu. So he probably doesn't play. That's the reason for a little bit of a different lineup for Michigan. Brooks in the game with Xavier Simpson only lie Brooks replaces saviors grayer senior from queens, sixty six percent foul shooter hits the first and Brandon John's junior an interesting case there from east Lansing, Tom Izzo had been recruiting and is in seventh grade he expected him to be a smart and surprised them signing. It's amazing of both foul shots are as good testy. Seven foot one big man working the ball around reverse it left to right Simpson to Matthews almost knocked away by coffee. "Back to the zone. Jamie Morris, Matt Leach on the other side of the glass, and guess what? He didn't forget that it is Valentine's Day. So we got to put some us. Again. We we we don't talk sports, but we want you to enjoy your Valentine's Day. Get a little teddy p in there. That was good. That was good. I liked that. Wrong with miss. I gotcha. That was good. I told you Andrew would be in the house in each year. The drew ski. Yes. The Giusti's in house was now much w I can't call. Hey, you ask to be on it? We talk in college basketball. Right. We are. So what what you got to say about it? I mean, I got a lot to say I feel like I've been just, you know, following along with not just Michigan. But a lot of of the instability the last couple few by twenty four hours forty eight hours. Okay. Seeing what's going on? We've had some good games lately. But really would Michigan. I feel like people are starting to like it's always like a very short term memory thing. With a lot of fans. It's they come out. They see a loss. And that's all they want to talk about in the next week. And very football ish. Exactly. Okay. But for me, it's like, I put Penn State is and how liars. Physically speaking on the on the schedule this season because is a team that we asked we should have gone there, and we should have one. But we didn't we played probably our worst game of basketball season on the road. And. At Penn State, but it's more of an outlier compared to the other teams. We have we've played in lost to on the road as in Iowa, and Wisconsin. Okay. Because both of those teams are would you? Call top tier big ten teams. Okay. Both those locations are tough to play at not that Penn State's not that Penn State's not a tough team. I mean historian. No, I wouldn't call myself a historian why? Well, I'm just I what I'm gonna hearken back to the year of two thousand fourteen thirteen thirteen This team was number fourteen coming in this hasn't happened before a Penn State. And it's it's kind of a consistent thing with Michigan general at this time of the year. This is a little later than usual by this happened, you know back last season when you'll win played northwestern on February six they lost sixty one fifty two. But then they went on. They didn't lose again to the national title game on April second against you know, who right? By two seasons ago. Again, Michigan loses back to back games at the same time of the year. January twenty ninth into the first week of February and they go on to win the big ten tournament and they ended up in the Sweet Sixteen run. So what's your assessment, though? I mean, why is this happening in? How is I mean, how do they prevent it? I mean, this is a different team then a year ago two years ago. This is a team that this team is twenty three twenty two and three exactly. So and that's more gay. They've won more games than those two teams have going in getting cut coming this far law. Yeah. Those teams. I don't I can't assess those teams book I can assist this one. Because the thing about this team is different than other line. I think teams in his past and Michigan is that the short bench the the way that if you get into foul trouble. Where do you go from there? That's an issue that we're going to have to address you're going down the stretch because that's going to happen because it's happened in the last three games on players in foul. Trouble that we needed on the core. And who do we like last season? We got the foul trouble. We had a bench to fill spots agree this season. We don't exactly have that. We have an experience you. I Brooks played last season. We have an inexperienced Brennan, John. Who's not he's capable of playing basketball? He's not capable of playing division. One basketball right now at the moment. I don't think he's ready. He doesn't look ready on the core shown signs though. I would he just throw that out saying he's not he's ill capable. I would say he's capable. He's shown signs, but he's not consistent. Yeah. No, it would have been nice. I mean, I was talking with the same way. A few weeks ago would have been nice to have both Brennan Johns and David Julius go about this time of the season. I think Brandon John's more so than the Julius, however. We haven't really seen too. Julia. So we don't really know where he's at his process. Well, I mean, you you pretty much decide where you're where you're capabilities are and where you are on the bench based on what you do in practice. And do you get time? You know what I'm saying? Austin Davis used to come off the bench win test got file us and Davis came off the bench right away. Now, you got livers it depending on who center is and who your your opponents in everything you got livers coming off the bench. But then Brandon John's comes off then Austin, Dave. And I think that's an advantage to this team is that we can go small with livers in the post Vince still be the same capable of making shots of producing on the defensive end, which is key. Because you you know, you're going to continue his shots with livers come into the game. He's a good shooter. He's a good offensive player. How being able to keep the same intensity in the same capable nece on the defensive end livers coming in for is huge because they're two completely different people. They're two completely different players, and obviously size-wise so being able to throw in a small lineup Lakewood livers in the post, I think is key from Michigan. I also believe that down the stretch we need obviously, the keep this Charles Mathews that we've seen. Because he obviously Xavier the leaders of the team are most experienced captains, they lead the the movement of what kind of intensity you're coming into the game with Howard on the side of Charles Mathews. You also need Agee breath steak is to play at a high level down the stretch. And I say this because our out of the last twenty two games we played our are the last twenty two games of the season. We played so far. Sixteen of those games. Charles either Charles or have led in scoring. Okay. So both of those players down. The stretch are going to be key to us being able to keep the movement going forward into the postseason. I get it. It. But remember, I say this people don't listen or people go why do you keep saying that he's led this team as a freshman? You get what you get from a freshman and got frustrated when he when he got into foul trouble against Penn State. I don't know what happens against Wisconsin. Both games. Iggy. Just disappeared the away game in the home game. He disappeared. You didn't see Iggy play. And maybe because he played against a bigger a bigger player that was in front of him, whatever I hopefully, he can overcome that. And that's something. He can. I mean, I don't know if it's the more. So the fact that he he's obviously in on a normal freshman, he's doesn't come in with the same. I mean, he's a little older than most freshmen, and you got a little more experience. However, I don't know if it's the fact that the legs are starting to get to this time of the season, or he's hitting that freshman wall that you would sometimes go around saying because at this time of the year, you might be you might be seeing that. But I don't think that's gonna stop him. I don't think I don't I wouldn't expect him to go into a game where he scoring zero points anytime the rest of the season. I think he's going to contribute on the board. And. The thing that with Iggy is that he is foul trouble. Because that's been the last few games where he's got into foul trouble. And we've had to replace him for the rest of the half, essentially. And that's that's huge with this team in particular. This might not have been a big problem if it was last year's team, but we don't have last year's team. This is two thousand eighteen to nineteen team where we don't have as much of a bench. Sure. So he gets in foul trouble that just results in into. Would we go next? Now, my saying Jonah's note he's doing he obviously I'm not going to compete with his with his knowledge of the game. So he obviously knows where his players aren't where they're capable of. But. It it obviously doesn't help for putting Iggy in foul. Trouble. Not not just foul. But on plays that you can avoid that foul. There's certain times where you fall hard. They go to the line. Right. I guess, but I think in time. By what you're saying is itchy puts himself in foul. Trouble to, but if you watch the pin say gay in Iran, re rendered guy was shooting a three pointer just because the the the shot clock was running out. He threw the ball up in eighty read over there and bought them to the ground. I mean, that's one. You don't really have to file. Yeah. No. That's what I'm saying. So, but what I'm saying is you said putting in foul position to file needs to understand. He's played college basketball long enough. Right. Young man. That's a file that you should not be committee know, exactly he's gotta take himself out of that scenario to where he's gotta realize in his head and on the court and the situation that's going on. Of keeping himself out of that kind of foul trouble. Yeah. Okay. And I think that that's that's obviously going to be huge thing with this team down the stretch is foul trouble because of the lack of depth. We have on the bench. But that's just one issue out of an and we obviously have a lot more pros and cons going on with this team. I believe I think there's a lot of pros going on not just the offense inside the ball. But obviously, the defense truly are an outstanding defensive team. They come in ranked in the top five of defense of defensive efficiency. And the a, and, but but the tough thing coming forward is the teams we have to play next. Right. The home of Michigan state who's right? The ninth and the instability in defensive efficiency. Okay. And we gotta Maryland team, which I believe is a home you have to. Okay. Here's what you got. You got two games against Michigan state, which is a hobby. If two games against Maryland. And then you have a game away to away games which Nebraska's away and at home. I'll look at it..

"And to our country. We're back on the Greenland. Did you feel the break? It's the magic of radio you have traveled through time from the last break too. Now, I have gone through the state of the union I've gone through several FOX interviews I've gone through an entire day of meetings an entire day of flight and an entire day of being out on the field working in uniform. Posted a picture of when you were flying back from Washington DC showing the plane, and there was nobody on it. Yes. Did you run up and down? Like, you said, sure. Yes. I ran up and down like a year old. Well, so, but I'm gonna talk now about the state of the union. So I was up there. Obviously, I was invited by anti-big. We went to a pre meet before the state of the union. So I was with Brandon John so cool. Ran a Judd was invited by another congressman out of Texas. And he was there. We we met up start talking. Met several people. It was interesting. And and it was a good time. And then as Braden, and I split because he was in one area of of the hall, and I was in the other area where the hog going to hear the state of the union. So the state of the union the actual room is small. It's not that big. And then they have one balcony up on top. You only spot where you can. So the congressmen are allowed one visitor. They can give one ticket some of them are wives or some of them, you know, bring different people. So I was pretty lucky. Wow. That is cool. Yeah. It is cool that Andy Biggs gave me got me a ticket. It's actually a golden ticket. So I felt like I was going to see willy Wonka. I mean, and I was joking. I said I got the golden ticket. I got the ticket run Charlie run. Charter they steal it from you. So we get there we go find our seat. It's really cool like the security that they have you have to go through three different levels of security. Then when you finally get there before you go into the hall, they take your phone away. So you have your phone away to security, and they give you a little card you can claim your phone at the what did he do that? There's no they don't let you take phones. You can't record it. You can't take pictures. You can't make nothing unless you're related to one of the people that I could Senator or congressman related you can take your phone. So I was lucky I was sitting next to a congressman's wife and she had her phone, but they still can't take pictures. So it was good. So I was sitting there, and then I feel so bad because I don't remember his name. And this is why art is not prepared sometimes in 'cause I'm new to radio, but sitting next to me was Martha mcsally guest. Oh nice. And he was cool. What was interesting to see is. I did see q the music. All right here, we go congressman halwa.

"That's why I would take the false in this one. I think with the the rotation that John has for this basketball team. It's working for them. But in the grand scheme of things, he he probably needs to open it up more. So that allow these players down the bench legged Brennan, John David Julius even even castle as well. You know, some of these guys that will get very slim plane time need they need to get a chance to get in there. So that some of these guys on the on the floor on a regular basis can get a breather in. I understand you lie. Brooks's gets a lot of you know, guard time at the one to livers basically could play all over the floor. And and then obviously you got Austin Austin Davis as well who basically takes over when task is got some issues as well too. But I mean, you do need to open up a little bit. But I don't know how or when that would be you know, when that will come into effect, though, I think at the end of the day just comes down to an a game like Wisconsin, you could've used contribution from the bench. When you're not getting something from we're not getting a very much from Charles Matthews. I'm getting nothing from Russ dak-. Can you have a guy come in and be the microwave? Can you have a guy come in and do a Dunkin Robinson what Jordan pulled it a year ago? Michigan doesn't have that right now with the exception of Isaiah livers and Isaiah livers. You know? I it can't just be that guy every single time. And so I I don't think it's it's hurting Michigan. But certainly like to see them be able to develop ally. Brooks Moore's a score. Maybe you know, still have an opportunity to develop Brandon John's, but they need a little bit more of a contribution off the bench because they're arguing moments where those guys the starter struggle, and what can that bench due to relieve some of that stress on the starting five when we come back we'll finish up true false with a couple of NFL. Plus a major league baseball true false statement about ten fifty..

"So they developed their silver star ultra headlights to have greater clarity and the brightest down road visibility. So now, you can see what you've been missing Sylvania think farther down the road. Jeff Glenn Beck's. Interesting. Take on the news tonight at seven on news talk five fifty KFYI. You are listening to the conservative circus. I am your ringmaster James t Harris. The media is very very concerned. They're very concerned they want the president to be fact checked in real time. They didn't even want the networks to run with this. They're afraid of the propaganda was amazing. When you look at all of the media that is a line. That's a raid against the president. And they still are quaking in fear. Well, you know, what they have a reason to? Today. You had Mark Morgan. He is a former member of the Obama administration, and he came out and said something that was absolutely extraordinary. This is a cut number twenty two Ross twenty two. The amount of rhetoric the missing Turkish in facts, the manipulation of facts and quite often just outright lies that have been told about all things related to border security. Yeah. Who's been telling those lies? He's referring to the Democrats. He's that referring to President Trump this former Obama administration. A person. He he actually is coming out because he believed that the border is necessary. And so I finally it really the last straw for me was when President Trump attended the national press conference along with the president of the border toll council Jannine, Brandon John, and they got up and resonated with Brian Brandon got up, and he said something that was versus state and very true. The wall works, and at that moment, I said I can't remain silent anymore. Even though the president administration is the one that removed. I'm here today. Breaking my silence to tell American people that the president is correct in what he's doing the wall works. This is what has the the left frightened? You have former Obama administration people coming out saying, you know, what the president is right? He mentioned Brandon Judd. Who's with the border patrol? These are experts. These are the people down there dealing with the with the issue and Brandon judge was short. He was too sick. But what he said was very powerful I've been aboard travel agent for twenty one years. I can personally tell you from the work that I have done on the southwest mortar. Physical barriers that walls, actually work. You hear a lot of talk from the expert. You hear a lot of talk at their experts that stated walls, don't work. I promise you that if you interview border patrol agents, they will tell you that Walsworth I working nocco Arizona for ten years. We didn't have physical barriers in nocco and illegal immigration and drug smuggling was absolutely out of control never seen this guy. Brand new Judd on the morning Joe or on MSNBC, then you had art del Quinto who the morning, Joe said was a basically a white, man. Because of all these white people standing behind President Trump press conference. Yeah. Three or four Hispanic men on the stage are quote to one of them. I want everybody to take the time to understand what's going on. All by this shutdown. We have skin in the game. However, it comes down to border security, and we're extremely grateful to President Trump, and we fully support what he is doing to take care of our nation's borders to take care of the future of the United States. It has nothing to do with political parties, you all gonna ask yourself this question. If I come to your home, you want me to knock on the front door or do you want me to climb through that window? We fully support the president and all his efforts to secure our nation's borders. The reason why the left is freaking out today. The reason why the the media the cable media's of the MSNBC folks in the CNN folks, the reason why they're absolutely going apoplectic is because if the president presents information tonight. In the same vein that he did last week with people like Brandon Judd people like our Quito both of the border patrol. If more Mark Morgan's who I believe were former Obama administration people we also had a guy who was formerly of ice. More of those people come up and tell the American people, you know, what the people who are relying the people who are spinning is the media. They're the ones with the propaganda. There. Truly is a problem on the border. It is not just these illegal caravans coming again. Let's talk about the fit. No, let's talk about the drugs that are rolling across the border. Let's talk about the sex trafficking. That is going both ways. If the American people finally are able the president is able to cut through. And speak to the American people on that level. The left is lost. I said it yesterday a lot of people disagree with me. But I do believe the president is winning this border battle. Got CNN. Don, lemon saying that Trump's Oval Office address should be aired on a delay in case he spews propaganda. We'll I'll tell you what I will show you what propaganda looks like a six thirty five..

"Done of of the teams that John B lines trotted out is big ten is going to be tough, John. I mean, this big ten run is. I mean, the big ten look strong this year. I know we predicted last year it was going to be strong. But this year it is strong. No doubt about it. And you you think about this. You think about how well Michigan has played and all of this. And and yet you come upon a game. Like, you've got this week at Illinois. Aw, that's just an easy win. Right. And I don't think so I think Michigan will struggle at times going on the road anywhere. And you're going to be in that nasty little boxes of of hate on the road. And I think it it wouldn't shock me. If Michigan dropped a game like that on any given night. But so it's yeah, it's gonna be a real battle and the schedule maker. Decided to really throw the throw the smoke bomb in there at the end 'cause you've got Michigan and Michigan state playing each other times in the final two weeks of the season. So you could go all year and have these two teams undefeated right at the top. And then all of a sudden, okay? Now, we got the very end of March or very end of February and into March and decide this thing. No without a doubt. And it seems like the state of Michigan. In the big ten in the state of Michigan is there to universities. They're the team. They're the top of the crop right now. Absolutely. And it just it's great for the state. It's it's something that Tom Izzo. Once said, you know, why there can be a there can be two great teams in the state, and we can have have this battle in this rivalry. And I don't think I really don't think at the time. He thought it would he'd have as much on his hands as he does right now. And he's he's well aware of of what he's up against now. And so, you know, so be it. Let's let's go, and it's fun. It's it's fun for the state of Michigan for sure. Well, like you said we don't we don't have to worry about that till late in this month. I mean, really I mean late in February. Yeah. So really, but the big ten, and so and like you said it's going to be tough for them to stay on the road right now, we're enjoying a fourteen is fourteen in. Oh, I mean, John come on. How about that? We're riding the wave right now. Yeah. They're they're just playing they played so well early and they with the wins like over Villanova over North Carolina over Purdue early in the big ten build up so much. Just good feeling about things that when they had to have some grinders in there. And really, you know, they they weren't as impressive. He had people saying, you know, they're they're maybe that was just fool's gold early. But you know, what this team does is just keeps winning and they've got a baseline of defense that they didn't always have in years past. I mean, the last two three years. Absolutely. And that's the thing that will help them. I I believe on some of these nights where you're not lighting it up on the scoreboard or you don't have a Jordan pool. Going crazy or a bras day Cus might have a a little bit more of a freshman tied game or an off game. And but you've got your whole teams to fifty five points a game that give you a chance every single night. And I it it makes a huge difference. No, you're right. And you got guys I mean, livers get livers gets hurt. But you've got guys like John's coming in John's juniors coming in and he's playing well, you know, John task seems to get better. And better each each time. He comes on the floor, and if you're getting timely scoring from Charles Matthews and Jordan pool and Iggy himself. So I mean, you got guys EMMY everybody's it seems it's a team effort out there. Absolutely. And it was exciting for many to see Brandon John's get out there and get some things done because one of the concerns, and we've talked about this for this team is depth because you lose a you loosen Isaiah livers for a couple of games. And it reminds you that they're they've only been playing a guys in suddenly you've got a lot more pressure and more minute pressure. Put on guys like John ski and bringing bring in Austin Davis off the bench. But Brenton Johns it was it was interesting goes eight eight against Indiana under the bright lights. And that's gotta be nothing but good for his confidence. I asked the John D line after the game. Now, you have said very clearly that Brandon John's has to earn it in practice was this a a result of him earning it or was this more just pure need. And the only was very button upfront about it. He said this was need. This was neat. He says. Brandin John still isn't where he needs to be to to have that consistency of being out there. But this is the kind of performance that will not only give him confidence. But give the coaches more confidence in him. If he continues if he can affect carries over onto the practice court. So it's that's a good development for the future. Well, whatever he's doing and coaches, I hear coaches spending one on one time with them. So he is trying to get him up to speed. But he he he justified himself playing this past Sunday. No doubt about it. And the kid is as a very excellent athlete. You can tell he's got a lot of skills. He's got great confidence. And he's got the body to compete in the big ten. It's just a matter of okay. This system. He's he's admitted. It's it's complex. Yeah. I don't sense but on on defense and the things that you're asked to do. And so he's grasping all that. And trying to put it in play. But you throw him out there. And he he showed that he could he could hang onto the boards with guys and he could grab some offensive rebounds as well. He could get in there and do some things. So there's there's no doubt that you need to bring some guys along they need to get is Ahah livers back, but yeah, you'd you'd like to be able to go with nine or ten guys not on a consistent basis, but that you could count on in different situations as the season whereas on in the minute start to take the toll. You're right. John. Thanks for spending the time with us. We know you got things to do. And we had to go to a break. So appreciate you coming on always enjoy Jamie, take care. Thanks, john. "Us. But the majority publicly challenged. You know on that point. Let me ask you, this are are you now or have you ever been a white, man? And the reason why ask you that question because earlier in the show we play the clip from the morning, Joe where Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough were looking at the picture of you and the other border patrol agents dandy behind the president, and they were looking at it a split screen with with Nancy Pelosi and the diversity of the house of representatives. And they were cracking on the point that President Trump only has a bunch of white people behind them now mic hold on time out. I know that at least two or three of those individuals are Americans of Hispanic descent. So I have to ask are you white? So you had Hector Garza Hispanic descent you had Albert today. Video of Hispanic descent, Paul better of Hispanic descent, myself, wetter of Hispanic descent, and then you had Brandon John was not. Not of Hispanic descent. And John Anthony. Who's not of Hispanic descent? So yeah, only two guys were out there can claim to be who white or white or however you wanna say Caucasian. I guess the correct way if the left wants to make a big deal out of that of the density that it has to speak volumes that you had three race. Well, we did sound the racist. Siren? The fact that you do have Americans Hispanic Americans who are four border security that that do staff for border patrol that work with border patrol is something that is lost on the Washington. Elites? It is it is. And and I've said it many times border security should have nothing to do whatsoever with what political party you're at. I mean, I think we all want security for our homes. Why should it be any different to securing our nation's borders? We have our dough Quito in the center ring of conservative circus. He is vice president of the national border patrol council. "Was talking on the rose garden, he he mentioned that he could build a bowl a wall without congress. If you declare national emergency, I'm going to build that wall without congress. He said he could go that route. He also said the shutdown could last years. That he says that, but I'd be shocked if this thing lasted beyond the point where people are getting their tax checks back because that goes against everything that he's done for tax. That'll be. Yeah. I heard duels mentioned something about that. You got into somebody's income tax. Check the refund. Right. That's then we're talking right? I would love to see the result of your tax cuts, but you shut the government down. And now, I can't get my refund. Somebody else made a good point in may have been outduel. That said, yeah, are they still taking money out of your paycheck? If the answer is yes, then the government shutdown, right? That's the big misconception about this whole thing. The government still functioning, by the way, the government still functioning certain people are getting screwed. I get that. But in typical government, typical IRS fashion. Yes, your taxes, you're still going to be due April fifteenth, but if the government shutdown you might not get your money, they're gonna get theirs. But you might not get yours. That's the government doing your work right there before he hits a break here. I heard this yesterday. And we wanted to talk about it. But we just had so much going on. And we ran out of time. We had an IUD basketball game yesterday. I thought this guy was fantastic. His name is Brandon Judd. He's the national border patrol coalition. President President Trump went into the press briefing room yesterday were normally Sarah Sanders. Does her briefing was kind of a surprise kind of a surprise and was talking about border security was talking about the wall and a lot of people on the left keep saying walls, not gonna work. Wall's got not gonna work. Well, Brandon John of the national border patrol coalition begs the differ. My name's Braden jet. I'm the president of the national border patrol council. So I've been an agent for twenty one years. I can personally tell you from the work that I have done on the southwest border that physical barriers that walls, actually work. You hear a lot of talk from the expert that you hear a lot of talk at their experts that say that walls, don't work. I promise you that if you interview border patrol agents, they will tell you that wall's work. I worked in nocco Arizona for ten years. We didn't have physical barriers in nocco and illegal immigration and drug smuggling was absolutely out of control. We built those walls those physical barriers and illegal immigration dropped exponentially. Amy where that you look where we have built walls they have worked. Interesting. Of course, is that the guy that showed the picture of our son to the president. I guess that's the guy. So I'm just watching this. And I'm like, I'm glad this happened. The only thing I just wish that he would do this in an Oval Office. I mean, what go totally off off the cuff, your Trump, you do it differently enough to do with other presidents have done. Do what you wanna do have an Oval Office talked to the entire country bring these guys in. So you don't rely on the media relating this? Because the only problem was that this was like one o'clock local time yesterday, people are work, man. Paying attention. It is what it is media only said that this covered this as not the border patrol explaining what really happens what they really need to secure the border. They covered it as Trump interrupted Pelosi's big day becoming speaker. So here's Brandon Judd, raking it down listen to this. My name's Braden jet. We built those walls those physical barriers and illegal immigration dropped exponentially anywhere that you look where we have built walls. They have words they have been in absolute necessity for agents insecure. The border. We need those physical barriers and we appreciate President Trump and all of his efforts in getting us. Those physical barriers. There's also a lot of talk on this shutdown federal employees do not agree with his shutdown. I will tell you. That's not true. What more do you need? And who do people wanna believe a slimy? Politician who says walls don't work it's a waste of money. It's medieval, blah, blah, blah. By the way, we get reaction from sheriff Napier on this. So. What do you believe a slimy politician were guys that are down there doing this? Let's your art real quick. Ardo Cueto was introduced and brand new throughout the Tucson arts a border patrol agent in the Tucson sector's. We got some national pub yesterday, listen art del Cueto here. We go. It's three o'clock an organization that represents a border patrol agents is backing President Trump stance of insisting on border wall funding in return for ending the partial government shutdown. Correspondent Bob Costantini reports. The president was joined by agents who themselves are not sure when they'll get paid to inject himself in the news cycle dominated by events on Capitol Hill, President Trump making his first ever appearance at the briefing room podium. So I congratulate fancy tremendous tremendous achievement at the heart of the partial government shutdown is the president's desire for billions of dollars for his border wall. Call it what you will. But without a wall, you cannot have border security. Well, we're and Mr. Trump was not alone flanked by border patrol agents, including Brandon John of the national border patrol council.
