Brandon Crawford went deep and David VR with a two run blast to center. It's been a monkey on my back. "Is back. So who better to sit in for copes in the Bay Area News group Giants beat writer Carrie Crowley. This is the leadoff spot heard by saying to your Amazon echo, Alexa play KNBR. Wednesday of the All Star break. Like I said, typically the slowest day in sports, but not this year. We get in four of the NBA Finals. Phoenix Suns Milwaukee Bucks, sons up to one Mm. Chris Paul going for his first NBA title. Devin Booker, leader of that son's team. I admit I haven't watched much of the NBA Finals. I've been so locked in on the Giants. For the past few weeks. In the end, the MLB draft over the past few days has consumed Lot of my time during the day talking with Giants amateur scouting director Michael holds about the 20 players the Giants picked On Tuesday, the Giants had rounds 11 through 20. There was an interesting tie in with their 11th round pick high school outfielder Donovan McIntyre, Marian Catholic In Illinois. Under the radar high school player. Who? Giants area Scout DJ Age AUS was adamant the giant Select Currently jousters pounding the table in the draft room, saying they got to go get this Guy house. 30 years old when the Giants younger scouts Covers the Midwest. If the name sounds familiar. We're talking on Tuesday morning with Murph and Mac about What a great batting practice pitcher Pete Alonso had for the home run Derby. You saw this guy's heatmap. Everything was right down the middle. Peter Lanza was built in the lab to win the home run Derby. 64 year old BP pitcher David House. Was basically tailor made to throw BP for that event. Ask when Evan Longoria was due back from the injured list Giants, projecting their third baseman to come back around the fourth week of July, talk to him at Chase Field a few weeks ago. First week of July. He said that he was progressing was just waiting to get to a point where Wasn't in Considerable amount pain with his shoulder. Does feel that he will be in some pain the rest of the season with that injury he suffered after bumping into Brandon Crawford. In early June against the Chicago Cubs in the late inning on a ground ball. It's more of a football injury than a baseball injury. Shoulder collarbone areas. What Longoria injured. But the Giants do you think that he will be back before the July 30th trade deadline? Yes. July 30th this year. That's a tough week. The Giants have by the way they've got The Dodgers at home and then the Astros at home. Two teams that Could very well win a pennant this year. But the Giants.

So Giants win 65 10 inning walk off number four for me this year, June 8th earlier that month. The score looks lopsided. 94 in Texas at Global Life Globally field. Victory over the Rangers. But keep in mind. The Giants went into the eighth inning of that game, trailing 4 to 2 and remember, this is the game where Brandon Crawford set the Giants franchise record for games played at the shortstop position. 1326. Did that before he even reached 10 years of MLB service time. Picture of durability. The shortstop position picture of consistency for the Giants through the years. The big blast in that game came in the eighth inning when Mike Talk Hman. Who has been responsible for so many the biggest moments this season despite hitting around 200 for most of the year, he had a grand slam in the eighth inning and then Brandon Crawford steps up in the ninth inning and launches a three run home run. Giants win 94. It was at a point in the season when We're on a bit of a tough road trip. That was the only game they broke out offensively. Remember, that was the trip where they went to D C and scored three runs in four games and still 12 in that series. But I place Mike Coffins. Grand slam Brandon Crawford's three run home run in the ninth inning of that record setting game for Crawford. Number four on my list. Here's Brandon Crawford, two on one out. 64 giants. "Pick. People were really excited about him being the next sort of face of San Francisco Giants baseball. So I think when your team is as good as the Giants are right now, you don't spend as much time thinking about the draft. I think that's probably had the front office wanted pay attention to what's going on on the field Right now. We've got a really good product. We've got some really good young players who are coming through the pipe right now. Pay attention to the futures game as you mentioned Ramos Luciano out there It's going to be exciting. I think next few years for Giants baseball because of some of these prospects that are on their way, and I'm sort of tantalized by the idea of Farrakhan and Scott get an opportunity to bring in some more really good young talent. Last year's draft was a little funky, so I don't know that I'll be dialed into it as far as you know, hanging on every pick or are waiting to see which guy gets elected, But once they're selected, I think we do a little dive into Into what the Giants focus was or what their thought process was with some of these pics, and I think we'll find out that the Giants are pretty good at finding talent like we've seen with Farrakhan has got to this point. Great perspective. Adam Copeland. Thank you so much for joining us throughout the first half here on talking baseball, and we will be chatting with you every weekend. Moving forward, sir. "Brandon Crawford is appearing in his 1000. 326 game as a shortstop. With the Giants passing Travis Jackson most games at shortstop in Giants history. Travis Jackson played the Giants 1920 to 1936. The Texas Rangers congratulate Brandon Crawford on this accomplishment. First of all, like it's fantastic that they did that you listen to the crowd. Anybody else shocked by how many Giants fans rolled out to Texas this year. For the Giants first game at at Global I field and it's funny. We got a lot of use in that stadium last year, just based on how they played. I think the World Series was played there. The LCS is were played there, and, uh, it's not like a aesthetically like pleasing place to watch a ball game. It doesn't appear like it's it's kind of sterile. Looks like it's one of those big Costco type ballparks like Chase Field or Maybe a more modern day. Tropicana. Tropicana has much more dimly lit. Tropicana is more like a warehouse. Tropicana feels like you're walking through the like the back of the Nordstrom looking for a pair of shoes upon the 10th shelf or something like that up on the top shelf. Um, but, uh, it's funny that like in the first game, others immediately giant history and this to me felt first of all, It's definitely at this state. In Giants history, but it immediately felt to me like one of those classic Giants regular season games. I don't know Giants fans forever. Think about you know, the Mike Ivy Grand Slam. They think about the Barry Bonds throwing out Craig Counsell at the plate that hitting a walk off home run. Happy birthday. Barry Bonds for me, This was one of those regular season days that will go down in Giants history. Brandon Crawford to Homer game where he sets this record. Mike talk man with the fastest ball to leave the ballpark that you'll ever see. Did my talk men's Grand Slam get get more than 15 FT. Off the Ground was like a low liner laser beam into the bleachers yesterday to take the lead. He was fired up around and first base game. Kapler was fired up in the dugout. I was fired up, sitting on my couch texting with my brother and my buddy Jason yesterday when the Giants were down 42 after Matt Whistler came in, and Gets knocked around a little bit. And then the Giants get out of the jam. So big out by the way by Jose Alvarez and Harland comes in, anyway. My, uh, my buddy Jason, when they're done four to he was all hyped on the game was all fired up and giants cops a couple opportunities. LaMonte Wade had that rip single deep single into into right center field to get runners on 1st and 3rd. And don't get any in and my buddy goes. Damn, man. I thought this was a series we got. We got to take this series down, man. We've got to beat the Texas Rangers. These are two games You've got to have. I thought, Dude, the Rangers are going to need more than a two run lead to take down this Giants team this late in the ballgame, and I would I would I thought Legit was not concerned in the sixth or the seventh inning when they were traveling. Yeah, they got offense, Man. This team can hit and sure enough, man, a three run home run in a grand Slam seven runs and what felt like about 15 or 20 minutes. Giants come back and win this 1924, and they're back at it today. 10 05 pregame 11 05 1st pitch. We'll get into a little bit of that in just a little bit as far as the pitching situation for today, Sam Law. The Canada Sacramento who was a Farmhand of the Tampa Bay Rays in the Chicago White Sox, in in was released in the giant snapped him up this this offseason and he was fantastic in the Cactus League. He was the guy who Buster Posey, at one point said Hey, let's go play catch, and he said That guy knows my name. Buster Posey, those who I am so he said, Get out of Sacramento. He's making his debut today was the report. We heard all day yesterday that he was going to be The starting pitcher today beat writers were reporting that the speculation was because he's on the trip right now he'll be activated will be added to the to the 26 Man roster will make his debut today, however, then late last night, and after the Giants game, the beat writers did ask Gabe Kapler about who the starter was. And he said, Well, you know, we've got some things to figure out. We've got iron it out. We've got to make a decision, and we'll let you know as soon as we can about 6.5 hours ago, as I was laying down to go to bed last night, I saw, uh, a tweet notification from the San Francisco Giants media relations. Back. Little will be the starting pitcher today knows acquittal. Of course, a reliever spent two starts in his career and hasn't made one in three years. Um Would assume that this is going to be a starter situation. Excuse me an opener situation. That would be my presumption. If he really is going to be the starting pitcher that he's a righty. He could come out. He can open it. The Rangers last night did start their lineup with two of the first three hitters as right handed hitters, But maybe they think Sam long will be better suited if he if he comes out to face the middle part of the order and then faces the top part of the order. The second time around, So we'll see how the how the iron this thing out or what The game plan is here at this point. I'm like Gabe far on Scott, Do what you gotta do, man. He covers the Houston Astros and wrote a great piece about all the top free agents short stops, including Brandon Crawford, who the Giants could be looking at this offseason, or I guess what they've done is they've tiered these short stops in the athletic. They do this, like tears renting thing they get AH group of the baseball writers every week. And on Thursdays. They do Rankings on, you know, ballpark food, the best short stops. The best left fielders may be the best power hitter is the best rookies. Whatever it is in this past week was the theme tearing ranking system of all the short stops. And basically, they've got Corey Seager at the top. Who's not even playing right now on after that, you get your favorite stories and your hobby bias. And you're Carlos Correa. And then you're down to Brandon Crawford and Market Simeon. Couple of veteran guys were having big years and Brandon Crawford with another nice game yesterday. Creative, Tony just having to wear this one man. Was kind of cool in the broadcast. After he drove in a couple more runs. They seems like every night now they're throwing up that top 10 R B I leaders in San Francisco Giants history and they were showing the picture, of course of Brandon Crawford, a candlestick and him hanging over the railing, begging the Giants not to leave in 1992 or at the end of the 92 season and it's got a cool Crawford, I think was Keiper, he said. When the Giants drafted him. They thought he was going to be a good player, but they did not anticipate. And it's tough to anticipate that unless you're taking a guy in the top 10 that he may end up being you're in the top 10 and your franchise history all time in runs driven in so good win for the Giants yesterday, ate nothing. Kevin Gossman goes five innings, nine strikeouts and really was the pitch count. They got him. He could have gotten a little deeper. I think sort of funny about the strike out. It comes back to the lesson. Gentler and watching Bull Durham, right, Dave, the try to get some ground balls. They're more democratic strikeouts of boring. Besides that, they're fascist. You go deep into counts like that. You're getting a lot of swings and misses like he does Kevin Gossman and and often times, you know, make it that deep into the ballgame because you're striking guys that you're working deep into counts, But he looked pretty good yesterday and the Giants bullpen, obviously flawless when he came there, allowing run, so a game they should have won and they did win. Here's the The sort of catch to all this. The Dodgers went out yesterday and hammered the Astros in Houston. Clayton Kershaw out seven innings gives up one run. It was just a solo home run to Alex Bregman struck out six. I watch a lot of that game. Good game for Kershaw yesterday. Stuff to watch Man. I've watched a lot of Dodger Baseball this year, just trying to Gonna change the energy don't root against the Dodgers, and they are a dangerous, dangerous, dangerous team of the Giants. I think you're looking for two this weekend. You're really hoping you're going to get to know Trevor Bauer against the Giants this weekend since cursed out through yesterday, he'll be scheduled to throw on Sunday in this series. And so they will not see Trevor Bauer since power goes today, so four games step, But you're gonna Miss Bauer this time around against the Dodgers. The question is who the Giants are gonna have going in that series. Now that Logan Web spot, the Scott Casper spot would be scheduled to come up on Friday. I guess this week they were talking about a lot of injury reports stuff coming out yesterday for the Giants, a few guys as far as pitchers are concerned. Logan Web Aaron Sanchez and Tyler Beatty. Three guys with think Giants fans on the Giants brass I've been looking at is as coming back soon. Logan Web obviously the closest to returning Remember. He was missed his last start because of a shoulder strain He was up to throwing at 90 ft. They said yesterday. They're going to see how his arm reacts to it to throw enough flat ground yesterday to see if he'll be ready to go this weekend, Aaron Sanchez went out to see Dr Neil Allen trashing Elway arms specialist because This is one of the weirder stories for the Giants is that he was throwing Finery needs in his workout off of the shoulder injury or a labor of injury over the last couple of seasons and the Giants that he was gonna be some flamethrowers the back into the rotation and see after pumping like 89 90 91. He was giving Alex but he just was not as effective. I don't think as the Giants and hoped and didn't have the spin right that they had hoped he would have coming in to this season..

"Copeland on the leadoff spot here it on your Google home. Smart speaker by saying play K NPR. Why waste any time we can get right into it aspires baseball goes, You know me. I don't have to beat around the bush talking baseball, but sort of quickly here. Some stuff from yesterday. Spence, Returnable of the Tigers throws a no hitter last night. Got the end of that, by the way, Actually, I got a push notification said he was through eight. I was okay. I should throw this on kiss the last couple hours Strike out to end the game. Terrible strikes out. Excuse me at throws the fifth no hitter of the season, had somebody on the task pretext. 1415 checks in and says, I don't know copes. There's been six No hitters with an asterisk. And he's of course, referencing Madison Bumgarner. Should we go seek of 5.7? No hitters. Can we do that? Can we get like a portion of a millimeter? Whatever. Just give me the box. Yes. Oh, I'm going five. No hitters. That's my response to the seven inning. No, no, it's the fifth. No hitter of the year get this. It's the second time in 13 days that the Mariners have been no hit. Seattle joins Cleveland as the second team to be no hit. Twice in 2021 75 no hitters throne and it's only been three teams. Against three teams to adjust the Indians to against the Mariners. We have to check out the last one is a member of the last one would have been because it would've been the Chicago I know Rodin through one. We have to go through John means through one Spencer Turnbull. Through that one. We have to look into the opponents were for those other games also show here with Johnny hit his third home run in the third game, third consecutive game yesterday. He still leads naturally, baseball in home runs Crazy was a 440 ft blast yesterday of exact police Act 111.9. Was an hour off the bat. Otani is in Shane. All right, let's get into some of the funny sound or I don't know if it's funny, but some of the good sound from yesterday and most of it coming from the world of baseball. So here's where we started off. Kevin Pilar, former San Francisco giant and By the way I saw yesterday the Giants Ah, before the game. Anthony Disco Funny pitching the shot out a photo. Remember that photo? A couple of years ago, the Giants took when they all dressed up as Pablo Sandoval for that road for they were all wearing like the big like flowers, shirts and the big dark sunglasses. They're all of their hair slicked back, and their shirt was unbuttoned to their naval. They were all just kind of poke in front of Pablo. He didn't know it was happening. The photo that the Giants put out was the one of Brandon Crawford sitting on the bus. It's a selfie. He's taken a he and Buster Posey buster stronger. The peace sign, and he's got like the sparkly gold rim shades on, but they're they're see through. They're not sunglasses. Interest, like hysterical. Looks like he's a look like you belong. Sitting in a hot tub. Somewhere with a bunch of gold chains on is what that would Buster look like, anyway. Right behind him there, you could sort of seem distant. The background with his flowery shirt, his sunglasses on Kevin Pilar, former giant well the other day, scary moment for Pilar get it the face with a 94 mile an hour fastball and he was immediately bloody. He went down and gets helped off the field. Nice moment before the game yesterday. Where he came out and brought out the lineups and spoke to the Empire's and other nice handshake there with Walt Weiss, the bench coach for the Braves from here. He's yesterday did some media Kevin Pilar, the ultimate gamer. We know what it was like, Man. He was. He was the William Act Award winner center, laying out for balls hitting home runs. They asked him yesterday how much pain he was in, you know, I had to take a moment to myself to just Collect myself. I was sad. It wasn't so much about the pain. It was just about the fact that this team's got through a lot, and like I said, I pride myself on being available and Don't always enjoy the results of going out there every single day. But I do enjoy the challenge of being available every day. Enjoy playing, and that's the thing that hurts the most by my face will heal. But Ah, heart's broken right now because this team Steve's hurting right now and you know, I came here and didn't really know what my role was gonna be, and I was gifted. You know, an opportunity to go out there and play every day and I don't take that lightly, and it hurts. Yeah. I mean, do this a gamer? I mean, this is why I won the willing back orders like yeah. I don't always enjoy the results of being out there every day. But I definitely enjoyed the challenge of going to play baseball every seriously. You can tell based on how we use out there. We put his body on the line for his team, and he doesn't win ballgames again. He just enjoys playing baseball. So hey, he said, actually, too. He felt worse for the picture, he said. I don't want to feel bad for the guy who hit him. I'm blinking on his name. Now. The picture for the Braves, who'd hit him in the face anyway, said the worst for him feeling for myself one more year from Kevin Pilar. They asked him if he was afraid. Step back in the box, the one I always think about it. Remember Joe Martinez for the Giants was at that game where Mike Cameron at the line drive hit him right in the head. That noise. That thing made no. A line drive off the bat back in the picture. I don't know if that makes you Morgan shy than a guy who gets in the face and it's a step back in the batter's box. You just do it more times, I guess so. You feel I don't know what you did. Haven't had to be that close, and it's something that I don't think you really think about is a player until it happens to you, right. You just sort of played this game your whole life, and I don't know if you've ever been hit in the face like that before. How many times these pictures of Kat line drives off their head, even if you catch it off your arm and your leg, It's just it's not the same thing is getting it in between the eyes or coming back area anyway. Here's Kevin Pollak talking about weather, and he's afraid to step back into the batter's box. Would see Right now. It's easy. Sit here in shorts and no one. I'm not playing to say I'm gonna be super comfortable in the box. It's another thing going to do it, But I also remind myself I've had over 3000 bats in my career I've been hit. Twice in the face. You know that's a pretty low percentage of happening. I think if I sit there and try to worry about that happening again, it's such a small percentage of the Abbotts have had and You know, I think I'll be fine. I just think You know, Time's gonna heal this. I'll step back in the box and people ask me you know where they've protection or face mask or anything, And it's just probably no. You know, I've Wore the sea flap a little bit after I got hit the jaw that was workers. I was a little bit sore, but when the season was over, I never put it back on and I've felt pretty comfortable with the box. So You know, I just.

Bullpen was outstanding and welcome. We say about the ace Kevin Gausman six innings only given up three hits, one earned one. Welcome to extra innings were fired up. Already got a great show lined up. John Shea is going to join me. We're going to talk a little bit more about Willie Mays and his 90th birthday. We celebrated yesterday at Oracle Park. And later on tonight we have Chi Korea, the bench coat the defense of gym coach. He's leading this team in drills and doing all the right things. The Giants only have nine errors and 33 games that committed one today and a throwing error. Bye, Caselli. But we're going to talk about Kai Korea and what he brings to the Giants. What he does for Gabe Kapler on the bench. What we want to know about all those little cards they have in their back pockets. Will you gotta stay tuned? As I have a great conversation with Kai Korea. But what a great day today was. San Francisco was gorgeous. Today, the crowd was out live. It was electric. And what did the Giants due date? Dazzled as they beat the Padres two games straight tomorrow. Johnny Cueto looking for the sweet, That's right. The sweep of the second place and Diego Padres. As they fall 2.5 games back behind the Giants, The Giants have 20 wins and 13 losses. The ST Louis Cardinals are the only other team that has 20 wins in the American League. The Oakland A's has 21 wins and Boston has 20 so only four teams have 20 or more wins. And it was electric it Oracle Park today with home run Boss is flying out of there. Of course, we talked to Crawford's. That was the 44th home run. The Giants received off their hitters. The 45th was a solo home run by Brandon Belt and a 46th home run was Austin Slater's to run Bomb 456 ft. Straightaway center field, his fourth of the season. Coming into this game, he pinch hitting a 16 and got an R B, I base hit and sure enough in the eighth inning. Oh, my goodness. He greeted Chris Matt with a bomb. The center field the place when electric and that was enough runs is the Giants win 7 to 1. But we're gonna talk a little bit about Kevin Gausman right now. He came out just on fire. Give up the base hit to Manny Machado right after that, 11 straight out 11 123 in the 2nd 123 In the third, the fourth inning, he went 31 on Grissom got a fly ball to center field. He went three oo Machado Machado swings gets a ground ball to short. And sure enough, he punches out Eric Hosmer. He continues in the fifth inning, striking out Myers and then Crow North got a base hit stole second base, and that's where Caselli throughout center field. And sure enough, a ground ball got him in for the on Lee earned run that Gausman gave up. But this sixth inning was the key inning. He gave up a base it to Totti's junior leading off the sixth inning comes back on a beautiful split finger strikes out, Grizz. Um Machado locks him up on the outside corner with 96 Just a bullet on the outside corner. Machado screaming, hollering. And what happened. Sit down, You're gone. And sure enough, he finishes off with Eric Hosmer strikes out the side after giving up a hit to Totti's Jr in his day was done 97 pitches he threw 63 for strikes. 17 1st pitch strikes to 22 hitters that was just outstanding. Gausman just has been out Electric in his last four starts. 26 innings pitch. He's only given up three earned runs 29 strikeouts. Three starts against San Diego 19 innings pitched 18 strikeouts. He's got a 1.42 earned run average. He picks up the wind today, and a lot of things happened today. A lot of ground ball outs. He had nine groundball outs. Of course, Longoria's just playing Gold Glove third base. Coming in on balls going to the side coming up throwing crop later, exceptional it shortstop and we all know about cross Do bond now playing a little second base, But Flora's was out there today. Had a stiff back on into the game, but they started him out there and he played a good second base. And what can you say about Brandon Belt first face he picks and places such a brilliant first base in the defense to shine today, as they have been so a great wind by the Giants. Five and three and eight games against San Diego. And I tell you what coming home 12 and three at home that system outstanding record at Oracle Park. A lot of good stuff today. Ate away can be our will get the phone lines running, But we're going to talk to John Shea here. We're gonna take a quick break and talk to John about what happened yesterday. "I mean, just like 19 games. He's got seven home runs in 2019. He hit seven home runs all year, He posted his lowest average is lowest on base. He was striking out more than he ever has. You struck out four times in the game in 2019 Never done that before, And that was a big piece. I think writer in August. In fact, I talked him, of course Field. Before a game and said, Look, you know, um, this hip surgery is not necessarily been a fountain of youth for for you has it, He said. No it and there wasn't supposed to be. It was supposed to allow me to not think about it as much and be on the field, stay on the field and compete. He did that in 2019. But who thought that he could put together a month or even a span in 19 games like he has where your O P s leaders for everybody who's got you know 60 or 30 at bats in the big leagues. You've got Mike Trout. You got a buyer in boxing has been a sensation this year. Your pasta Posey. They got Ronald. Couldn't you Junior who was having a great year and poses? Oh, PS in him right now. I mean anyone who saw that coming Um, you know, had a lot of faith and Buster Posey's ability, um and probably wasn't paying attention to. You know a lot of the evidence from from 2016 on and it's been It just reminds you this guy is an elite talent when it comes to hand eye coordination, and when his body allows him to do things, you still pretty darn good hitter. And I mean this. This is pretty darn important. If Buster Posey can have That kind of resurgent season. It's going to affect his ability to be a giant long term. It's going to affect whether he can be a slam dunk Hall of Famer instead of a guy who's gonna have to languish on the ballot a little bit or maybe not get in. Let's not forget a guy like horny. Posada was one and done. He never even got 5%. So you know if Buster, I think needs a few good offensive seasons to be a Hall of Famer, and so there's a lot of steak here for his legacy. I think even though it's obviously going to be, you know, stainless and he'll be revered for life for what he's done is a giant butt. You still got a lot more you can accomplish and I know he's not thinking about it this way. But right now he's showing that Hey, I can still be an elite player in this league and it's been. It's been pretty eye opening to watch really good something with Cooperstown one. I know we're sort of at the time, but we can do this later. It is Yadi Molina ahead of him in the horse race between the two best catchers is No. No question. No question. I think he's ahead of him because he's got When we're compiling numbers, he's got way more gold gloves. I think he's a think Yadi is is for me a slam dunk, first ballot Hall of Famer and Buster's pretty borderline right now, To be honest, Yeah, interesting stuff. Hey, Paperwork question, not paperwork. Actually, it's more than paperwork's. That's wrong Phrase. Just transaction questions less Stella. Going for 4 to 6 Weeks is a big deal. That's tough. So Vossler Jason Vossler, come on down, but What would you anticipate knowing 400 Scott Harris and means Vossler is going to get like a couple of days to show and then they keep looking. Or is it just Hey, Vossler, You're the guy. No, I think they'll write it out. I mean, they have You know the kid he got from the Yankees as well that they they like, and he said he's a triple A. I don't know if they're gonna make a sort of a move to acquire someone. You know, like another Mike. Talk when you can play the infield right now, that may have been Just an opportunistic acquisition right there. I think they just have to write it out. Hopefully get Donovan Solano back sometime soon. Might Jastremski they hope to have back on Friday he'll We'll have to lengthen that line about a little bit, but you know, they've got options. They've got people that can use to cover the infield but makes it even more important than Evan Longoria stays healthy that Brandon Crawford stays healthy and that they don't you know, over exposed some of those guys while trying to fill the gaps, and, Yeah, it's a bummer of an injury because, you know, just like, um, some of these other guys just like you. Yes, we're starting to come around, and then he got hurt. Look, Stella was really starting to come around, and then he got hurt. So the Giants are Our little secret, but you look up and they've got the best record in the National League. And and so you know whether it's the pitching just stand is dialed in if they have been or other guys stepping up when Alex Dickerson catching fire it, hopefully a shoulders not too bad or Brandon Belt catching fire like you did yesterday. Just gonna have to find ways to pick up slack perfectly stated. Andy Day ball. Get your pencil ready. You gotta game coming, so enjoy. It will keep parading in. Thanks for coming on. Okay. Enjoy that. Some day. Baseball guys. Yeah, there it is. 12 10 Polly Logan Web. Yes, I know. We got very little time. But quickly. "Plan carried Crowley with you back for another episode of talking sports across the Bay Area across the country, and we're recording this on Thursday afternoon, April 29th. Which of course means tonight is the NFL draft, which also means Carrie. We will avoid the draft completely because by the time people are hearing this, the 40 Niners may have may have Aaron Rodgers. They may have Matt Jones. It may not matter if we talk NFL draft, so we'll try to stick to a little baseball this week, man. How are you doing? Well, copes. I think that's the right idea. I think by Saturday people will be so fatigued on NFL draft and quarterback. Talk that little moved onto which long snapper the Giants or the 40 Niners. I should say we'll have drafted to compete with Tabor Pepper there, so I think that we're in a good spot here talking baseball. There's plenty that the Giants have given us over the last week. Plenty that the sport has given us over the last week. Madison Bumgarner in the news, Ron Laconia Junior in the news, so many different, exciting things taking place around the sport. And so I'm excited to dive India with you this week. Well, I I usually like, lead this discussion and I, you know, trying to get us some good topics to hit on and you mention Madison Bumgarner. We're going to get to That in this segment, because there's there's some rules and regulation things I want to get to pertaining to the quote, seven inning, no hitter, But you said some some things across baseball. Is there a topic you want to jump off on today? I think that the topic that I want to jump off on is that two weeks ago we were sitting here and we were discussing the Los Angeles Times column that suggested the Los Angeles Dodgers Are going to be the best team in baseball history Copes and the Padres ran circles around him last weekend it Dodger Stadium, three of four came back from a six run deficit, and the Giants will enter the final day of the month. Tied with the Dodgers and first place, so can they really be the best team in baseball history if they didn't run away with the division in the month of April? My response to that article is Have you seen Tony Disco pitch at Oregon Park? That's my response. Have you seen the Logan Web changes? Have you seen my guy Alex would taking a no hitter into the sixth inning? Yeah, Obviously, this is this was not predictable based on how the Giants have performed, but the Dodgers have dealt with some injuries. I think you and I talked about exact McKinstry came up for Cody Bellenger going down. Then he got her. Gavin looks got hurt, and now he's back Mookie Betts in and out of the lineup, But, um, great teams, and I think back to like the 1998 Yankees, who won 104 In games. They started something like two and six or two and seven and then kind of bounced back. You could look across baseball in the month of April and their teams that start hot, they get out in front. They start rolling. But if you could build a nice little cushion, sometimes it makes it tough for those middle of the road, middle tier teams to battle back like I'm looking at the ale Central, and I think as we record this on Thursday, the Kansas City Royals have the best winning percentage in all of baseball. I think they've got one fewer loss or one more win something like that from the Giants and the Dodgers and the Red Sox, But they've built a nice little cushion there. I assume In the Minnesota Twins will get off and running. I assume the White Sox will make a charge for that division. But when it comes to the end of West, the Giants, obviously the biggest surprise, But it's also a major surprise that the Dodgers don't have, like, I don't know that they're not 26 you know, at the end of the month, because that's kind of what people were talking about. Have you looked at them and identified anything with them that maybe sort of a weak spot? I think bullpen is clearly the Achilles heel right now for the Dodgers. Yeah, I think that the injuries are a really good point to talk about. And Cody balance. You're not being his full self not being on the feet. Old has definitely hurt the Dodgers. But you know, this is a lineup that lost Jack Peterson last year. It lost, Alex would out of that rotation and look, the Dodgers are stacked from a pitching standpoint, so stacked that their fifth spot in the rotation was coming down to Dustin made David Price and Tony Gone Salon at the end of the spring. But at the same time, the lineup hasn't like out produced. Expectations. You know, they went that first week of the season haven't seven different players with O. P s is over 900. But since that point, the injuries have caught up to them. The hitting hasn't been as good and maybe you make a good point. Copes Anthony DeSclafani. Tony Disco can shut down l A this year. Maybe the Giants did the right thing in building this pitching staff the way they did to contend with the Dodgers, and I'm look, I'm not saying that San Francisco Will be in this race come August in September and will be challenging the Padres and Dodgers for 95 100 wins. But what I am saying is, I do think the way the Giants were built with their pitching staff, and you know the timely hits that they've already received in the month of April. I do think that they can at least play the Dodgers and the Padres tight and I don't think they're gonna be overmatched this year in those games, and that's why I do think that after seeing this first month of play, the Giants will have a really good shot, even though the schedule was weak during the month of April to end this for you. Your drought of losing seasons the Giants in their history dating back to the night. 18 83, New York. Gotham's have never had five consecutive losing seasons. And I think that Farhaan and Scott and gave Captain have done a really nice job assembling a team that should win at least 81 games this year. Yeah, the I think that's where I pulled that. Can I ask the question? At what point can we say This isn't a fluke for the Giants, and I think when you do it for a month ago, Okay, that's clearly inside this team because they've had to come from behind wins. I've had to shut down wins. They've had a complete game shutout. They've had brilliance from the bullpen, and they've had some some meltdown from the bullpen as well. But I think what's key to note here is that they have not played a game yet in which they've been blown out. They've been in just about every ball game, and they've won games in different ways. They win that game behind Alex would on Wednesday night without hitting a home run, right. Where is that? We're hitting tons of home runs and solo homers that that you're also seeing tons of different guys step up. While there are injuries on this roster, we mentioned the Dodgers, you're being done. What about Brandon Crawford, who's dealing with a few injuries? What about Donovan Solano, who's on the.

"And not so much like. I don't even think that's the biggest question like pretend like relevant to success for the Giants. But I do think, if poses good or opposes the Posey. We were used to seeing for so many years. Obviously, the Giants are in a much better situation. I think the better question is like What are they looking for? Like you can have your expectations for like we need him to to put up these numbers. But what does he need to do to help this team be successful? He's gonna play Gold Glove defense is just what he does behind the plate. I don't know how much run he's gonna get it First. There's a lot of right handed bats. There's there's no reason for Buster Posey to pick up the first base and spent this year. No reason whatsoever. So the question I have is, Does he end up in a situation like we're watching Warrior basketball right now? Second warrior reference of the pot by the way today. Steph Curry Looks like he's more fresh than we've ever seen. And Draymond Green looks pretty good, too. He had a four game scratch over the last week or so. Re and 50 assist his legs look good. I think there's something to be said about guys in the N B, A who play year after your deep into the playoffs, putting a lot of extra miles on those legs. The same can be said about Buster Posey in the postseason. For that stretch of years, he comes up in 09 sure, at the end within 2010 in May deep into the postseason, win a World Series 12 the exact same thing 14. Same thing, 16 the same thing into the playoffs and all of those times. I think you said this last week outside of the Grand Slam off from that late. Oh, so there's not a whole lot of offensive calling cards for Buster Posey in the playoffs, So it's all about how he handles the staff how he handles the defense, how he calls pitches and maybe unrivaled by anybody in the game today outside of Yadi Molina. In ST Louis Buster is the best catcher of this generation. So for me, it's about where he's hitting in the lineup. What are your expectations for the offensive production? So I don't know if he's gonna be like Is it gonna be Steph Curry fresh because he's had this time off, or is he gonna be that hip is just is just still not what it used to be. You know what I mean? I'm really Yeah, I'm really fascinated because I believe it was. Nick Hundley, who said back in 2017 when he was first playing with the Giants came into spring training and said after Hundley had played it course field in Colorado that if Buster Posey was a Colorado rocky, he would win the batting title every year. He is that type of a hitter. He is that type of knowledge plate discipline, ability to go the other way work with what pictures are giving him and he just wasn't healthy enough in 2017 or 2018 2019 to really do much damage. And now that he will have this year and a half off in between serious baseball competition that's putting stress on his body. Will he return to that level? Where you know he is a 300 hitter? He is a 3 10 guy. We know he's not gonna hit 20 home runs. That's just not happening. He probably won't play enough to hit 20 home runs, Will he? Catch 100 games. Well, it only be 81 games. How quickly will Joey Bart working the next? I'm really fascinated. See all of us, and I think we're gonna learn. Ah, whole lot. In spring training about what Buster Posey is capable of just based solely on where he isn't lineup how often he's playing. If they've got him going back to backs. It'll be interesting to see Adam. I want to move on to pressing question Number two, and that is speaking of the lineup. Speaking of where Buster Posey's hitting. I do believe it'll be much lower this year than it was under Bruce Bochy is the Giants lineup better? Against right handed pitchers or left handed pitchers. Keep this in mind against righties. You'll see Brandon Crawford, Brandon Belt, Tommy Lost Ella Alex Dickerson. Maybe new trade acquisition. Lamont weighed against lefties. It'll be Donovan Solano, Donnie Barrels. Wilmer Flores, Darren Rough, Austin Slater and Marie She. O D. Bon. What's funny? Is there so many guys and this is far Hunt's plan and we see this with the Dodgers. You're going to see it with the Padres. So much versatility is what makes them attractive. You can mix and match now I do think When they have the left handed lineup out there against the left handed pitcher. They're gonna miss the designated hitter more than some other teams. I think not having for having the ability to put Wilmer Flores that there is an extra bad not having a guy to put have the ability to put Darren rough necessarily out there because Alex Dickerson probably going to start left and that comes back to my left fielder situation with you is if he was the opening day left fielder last year, and if They have a right handed starter for Seattle on opening day. You should see Alex Dickerson in left field, right? Who's the Mariners? Ace to the Mariners Have an ace? Who's on the Mariners. That's the very question like Is this strange? Gorgeous? Still up there now he actually just kind of minor league deal with the Reds. So, Yeah, they're most prominent player for the last few years, getting a minor league contract in Cincinnati. That's when you know you have built a juggernaut, a team that has produced so many so many incredible players. I mean, we're talking. You know Alex Rodriguez and Omar Vizquel was up there. Randy Johnson's up there. Ken Griffey, Griffey's You and your radio Martinez bread, but nothing to write home about. You know, the greatest single season team of all time nothingto write home about anyway, when it comes to the success of this lineup, I really do think the right handed hitting line up against the left handed pitching is going to be the team with the most success. Donovan Solano. What we saw from him last year is gonna be huge. Brandon Belt was awful against left handed pitching last year didn't see a bunch of it, but under I think was under 1 30 against lefties. So I'm or intrigued by the guys that were brought in last year that we saw success from Mikey, as is going to be out there against lefties and righties. I really like the idea of Darren rough planes from first base against lefties and getting a chance to hit. Maybe you put a guy like that, like Wilmer Flores over a third. I think the deal doesn't play who doesn't play first base on this team? If Darren Rough, Austin Slater, Brandon Belt, Tommy Lost Ella and Wilmer Flores and Buster Posey all had first baseman's mitt. Question in spring training question is who doesn't get to play against the left? Which right handed batter you leave it out of the line up against the lefty. I got a place later. I gotta play. I probably more issued a bond for me to bond may be the one who he may be. He may be the only guy capable of going to shortstop because you really gonna trust a guy named Donny barrels to go play with the glove shortstop right now, after all the years he made last season, So what you're telling me is with these burning questions. I've got no answers about burning. That's the issue. This is this is back to your home. Which light up this better. We like it so funny, I think last year we spent all if we were doing this podcast one year ago today on February 11th 2020. And by the way, what? We had no idea what was coming, right? Yeah, no idea. Not only that, Not only the covert 19 pandemic was coming, but the Darren rough exist. Turn Dr Existence by the way we were looking at, like, Yo yo. Omar Sanchez will be out there at second for the Giants. Billy Hamilton Center. Exactly. So, the burning questions in February much different than the burning questions at the end of march, right?.

"What are your expectations for the offensive production? So I don't know if he's gonna be like Is it gonna be Steph Curry fresh because he's had this time off, or is he gonna be that hip is just is just still not what it used to be. You know what I mean? I'm really Yeah, I'm really fascinated because I believe it was. Nick Hundley, who said back in 2017 when he was first playing with the Giants came into spring training and said after Hundley had played it course field in Colorado that if Buster Posey was a Colorado rocky, he would win the batting title every year. He is that type of a hitter. He is that type of knowledge plate discipline. Ability to go the other way work with what pictures are giving him and he just wasn't healthy enough in 2017 2018 2019 to really do much damage And now that he will have this year and a half off in between serious baseball competition that's putting stress on his body. Will he return to that level? Where you know he is a 300 hitter? He is a 3 10 guy. We know he's not gonna hit 20 home runs. That's just not happening. He probably won't play enough to hit 20 home runs. Will he catch 100 games? Well, it'll only be 81 games. How quickly will Joey Bart working the next I'm really fascinated. I do believe it will be much lower this year that it was under Bruce Bochy is the Giants lineup better? Against right handed pitchers or left handed pitchers. Keep this in mind against righties. You'll see Brandon Crawford, Brandon Belt, Tommy Lost Ella Alex Dickerson. Maybe new trade acquisition. Lamont weighed against lefties. It'll be Donovan Solano, Donnie Barrels. Wilmer Flores, Darren Rough, Austin Slater and Marie She. O D. Bon. What's funny? Is there so many guys and this is far Hunt's plan and we see this with the Dodgers. You're going to see it with the potteries. So much versatility is what makes them attractive. "The Giants were to go out and get one of these huge free agents like Trevor Bauer seems to me like he's he's a modern day pitcher. He's a guy who understands the analytics. He wants to be involved in that type of decision making in game planning for a lineup based on his ability he buys into that system. He's clearly a 2021 type of pitcher. Who's the player that if the Giants go get this guy next offseason? Who's the big name guy that you're like boy? Five years from now that Might not have been the one that worked out who the big name guy who might not have worked out. I think it might be the guy who I am most convinced that they will be interested in next off season, And that's because of the far anxiety and Gabe Kapler ties Corey Seager and I love Corey Seager when he is healthy, but when he's healthy It's not always it's just not always the case. And so I do think that they will be willing to be in on Seeger, especially because you're taking someone from your rival at a premium position and weakening them and ultimately strengthening yourself. Regardless of how Luciano develops this year, and whether or not they consider bringing Brandon Crawford back Corey Seager's a premium that middle of the order shortstop Ultimate position, and I think that just their familiarity is going to ultimately make a difference in those negotiations make a difference in their comfort level with Corey Seager. But at the same time, Adam Five years from now on, often, Jered Guy in his mid twenties, has already had some kind of bizarre injuries. He had Tommy John Surgeries a shortstop. Is he going to look like the Corey Seager in his prime that he was last year? It's a tough call, and that's why maybe you say I look a hobby bias who is smaller and maybe well, you know, maybe more apt to breaking down later on in his career, but It's a tough call. It's a really tough call. The guy that I'm most convinced is gonna look really good. Five years from now is Trevor story, but I think that his mark it will be a little higher than those two guys, even though he's played it course field. See, He's the one where I would say it's funny. I didn't think much about the injury element to Corey Seager. But when you talk about Trevor story, I worry about the splits like I have to be honest, I haven't looked exactly and what his numbers are outside, of course, But when guys are incredible, it cores and we've actually if you look at the splits right now, for Nolan, a Renato going out to ST Louis, he's his career numbers are not as great Like he's gonna be fine. He's gonna put up good numbers. You may hit 30 some odd home runs. However, I do wonder with this like it's a report from Major League Baseball this week that they're gonna be dead in baseball's after. How about that transparency? Nothing like really generating some excitement for your sport by putting some health and safety protocols out and deadening. The baseball expect the long ball, but we're going to eliminate some of that because chicks are digging it too much. We don't like that. It's that it's been his big well that well, they finally put the commission together and they live. Sent to the die hard fans and Murph got his way there deadening the baseball And so Brian Murphy can finally watch baseball in peace and be happy that the hit and run will make it come back in. 2020 can't wait to see all those balls die on the track. You know what I mean? That Z the most exciting place in baseball. The near home run up against the wall that the guy catches nothing quite like the roar of the crowd and Oracle Park when everyone thinks Brandon Belt got into one But it turns out he didn't so did you. Did you see something about Marco Luciano as a comped Alfonzo Soriano. I just pulled up Soriano's numbers just real quick. Here. He's a guy who I genuinely think has forgotten. You played from 99 to 2014 so easily get out of the league. Now, for seven years, he's got a fall off the Hall of Fame ballot that quick. I mean, he may have 412 career home runs 289 career stolen bases a career batting average of 2 78 19 0 P s. So he wasn't I mean, the career numbers aren't super God, he but he He was driving in 100 all the time or 90 all the time. Couple of seasons will one season you lead the league in hits and and run scored. He led the league in stolen bases once stole more than 40. A couple of different times hit over 30 home runs multiple times over 40 home runs looks like just that one time when he had 46 in his one season and Washington so on, I mean the cops or calms. They throw this stuff out about guys, But he's a guy. It's interesting you mentioned, you know, Luciano, maybe not spending his whole career. On the infield. He's a guy who they moved out to left. They moved him to the outfield Soriano and he came up with the second basement playing opposite Jeter with the Yankees. Yeah, I think I got to give credit to and I don't want to give credit erroneously here, but I think it was Andy bag early. Who put me onto the Luciano Soriano comparison. I think he'd heard it from someone and you started to float around and make sense when you watch the guy when you saw him. And Oracle Park last year for the Giants, you know, summer workouts. The comparison is pretty obvious when you see them in person, just with the way that Luciano swings that, like I said, the fluidity with which he plays, so there's a whole reason for Giants get excited Giants fans to get excited about the future there even if he doesn't end up in short stop, which is, of course not where Soriano ended up that is tantalizing to me, dude like super ticked loved Alfonso Soriano and I wanted him here. So it's funny. You mentioned shortstop. I was looking at the Giants opening day lineups and everybody knows the street right. 13 consecutive seasons Now, since Barry Bonds is gone with a different opening day left field, and it's getting continue. Well, it are they going to see a righty or lefty on opening day? Well, I think was Hunter Pence the opening day left fielder like he was he was not. And we're gonna talk about that. On the other side. We've got some burning questions carries come Open like a series of questions. He was going to rapid fire to me. We're gonna talk some Giants baseball more on the other side, Opening day lineups, maybe, like the most talked about meaningless thing in baseball, by the way, they generally don't really add up to or mean anything. John Banker was the opening and right fielder in 2010, right college. Oh, Michael Reade, baby. Here you go. So we're gonna talk a little opening day lineup will talk. Kerry's going to do some of these rapid fire questions also gotta throw to you the longest tenured opening day starter. For the Giants. Right now we'll get into that. On the other side..

San Francisco Giants expected to sign infielder Tommy La Stella
"Reaching an agreement or in conversations trying to sign. Ah, pretty good player, and it'll be the longest deal that far out. Assigned anyone to in his tenure is Giants president of baseball Ops and it's Ah, Tommy lost Ella, the former Oakland A. The former and I'm Angel. What do you know about this? One of the details of this and what do you think of the movie Carrie not just the longest deal. But according to Susan Slusser, the sample Scott Chronicle who just put this out on Thursday morning could be the biggest deal the giant have given out under far anxiety is she Saying it's in the neighborhood of 19 million. I had heard really close to what jerks and pro far got from the San Diego Padres, which was three years 21 million. And so right around that three years 20 million years, beginning gaining 6.5 7 million average annual value, which to me eyes a little bit surprising because the Giants don't like to make long term commitments. This is going to be the first player that they've really said You were going to be a part of the future when we think that we can win again. And I think that Tommy lost Ella It's not just a win in 20 to 2022 or 2023 move. It's also a hey, Let's see what we can do in 2021. Let's see if you know the Padres of the Dodgers get severe injuries or something chaotic happens where there's issues with them where the Giants are all of a sudden challenging for the second wild card spot because the NL East is going to be tough. There's gonna be teams that emerge from there, but you look at this light up and Tommy was selling. Let's assume he hits leadoff for the Giants against right handed pitchers. You remember lineup that has Mikey's Trump Ski Brandon Belt, Alex Dick. Person Tommy La Stella and Brandon Crawford probably getting down in the seventh race lot. That's gonna be really good. That's gonna be a really, really tough light up on these pictures in the National League. And so the patients the plate discipline the amount of balls that are in play with these guys. It's just a group that kind of syncs up really well, so he was always going to be the most obvious edition. And I think that it's no surprise to anyone who follows the Giants, whose followed far anxieties tenure that he was the guy they ultimately settled on for their left handed back. Yeah, I think the question

"I mean, listen, it seems as if people are souring on Bart a little bit, though. I'm kind of getting this read that. I think I saw something on the block the other day, like at the Giants, just trade him, like, Get out ahead of time. What's going on there? I didn't think he was all that bad. I mean, they called him up early. I was clamoring for it. So I can't say that It wasn't a good idea. Let's get this bar guy up. I need to see of ASAP. I need something out of this season he had he had his moments. He had other moments that made him look like a rookie. I understand He's a bit older than you know, most prospects out there. It's not like there's a lot more seasoning to do. But I feel like people are kind of now selling him short. It's almost one of those situations where he was over, and now he's underrated and we'll go back to. I don't know what I don't know where why people are souring on them so fast. I can't believe that last year was enough of a sample size. Get enough of a read to say now this guy stinks. You're right about that. It was not much of a sample size. It was completely unfair for people to make that assessment of Barton say, Okay, Maybe this guy is not legit, based on the 30 games sample size when he'd never played a game of Triple A, but what I will say, And I think this is part of the reason his stock has gone down or, you know, metaphorically speaking scouts of soured on it. Whatever you want to say, hey, still highly counted. He's still going to be a part of the Giants future. What I would just say, though, is He's 24 years old. That's quite a bit older than a lot of the other prospects on that list. And so I do think age is a factor ages a determination this and as Mike Yastrzemski has shown. You don't need to be 22 years old to come in and be a productive major leaguer and make an impact being all star. But I think you and Joey Barton case he's been on the radar long enough. And he was really hurt by not having Triple a bath last year, and so I just think that if he's able to get those at bats this year, June July, he'll be right back in the mix, and people will be just as excited as they were before because I really do believe Joey Barton will make the charge, make the adjustments and then tear up the PCL because that's what good players do. That's the expectation that he'll start next season in Triple A, and they'll figure out what to do with With Buster and how to kind of handle the cacophony of catchers that they currently have going on. But Bart will be down in in the PC Alan and hidden in that band box league. Yeah, I don't think there's any question and that was before they went out and signed Curt to Sally to the one year deals. They brought him in to really be Buster's back of travel. Trump is back on a major league deal. So he's on the 40 Man roster. I just think that they want to see Joey bark, continue develop, continue to get that confidence going against minor leaguers and prove that he could make the adjustments, the breaking ball that he needs. There have to be more contact skills, and I know that the game is all about O. P s. And so you can strike out a lot and still be a very successful player. But you can't strike out as much as Joey Barton didn't 2020 What's going on with Donovan Solano Seems like we're heading to an arbitration thing. I was kind of of the mindset that maybe the giant should get off of Donovan Solano. Maybe sell high and go and get a left handed hitting second baseman. They're still a couple of those available on in the marketplace. Is that a possibility or the Giants locked in on Solano? It's understandable as to why the value could be of question in pre arbitration. Negotiations given, you know, kind of his one dimensional sort of play Well, what? What's the dealer? It's interesting. I thought, you know, of all the players who were big contributors on the 40 Man roster last year, who had good seasons. I thought that's a lotta was the most tradable because very reasonable contract expectations for the 2020 21 season. Wilmer Flores is around the Giants really like Wilmer Flores at second base? Probably not hard to find a backup second basement. If the D H is coming to the national You probably want him on the rocks. You're even though he's not a great fielder. He can go out and play some second base. He can spell Brandon Crawford it needed at shortstop, and I just think he gives your roster some flexibility. As for the pay difference between what the Giants believe he shouldn't paid what Donovan Solano believes he should be paid. Look, a lot of people have told me this week that I have no business telling anyone else how to spend their money the giant I think that the jacket should just pay Donovan Solano like this $700,000. It's not worth it. Yes, you don't. I don't. I don't get that feeling. And maybe if you get the lower contract is much easier to trade that one of these mid market teams that washes every penny. But the Giants do not need to develop the reputation is watching every penny. I just do not believe that pandemic or not, It's not a good look for the organization. So do I think that they will come to an agreement? Yes. And do I understand why farmhands ideas got Harris? You're doing this? Absolutely. It is the smart, practical, reasonable thing to do when your baseball executive but I'm saying this because I'm not a baseball executive. Those those are my two cents. Well, for now, we'll see. It's only a matter of time. Carry Crowley. What do you know about Arizmendi? L a Contra. That's it. That's a great question Giant sign him to a minor league deal. Utility player. I think he was last in the bigs in 2017. Bay Area. Baseball fans might recognize the name because he had cameo with the AIDS before they settled on Jed Lowry and second base way back when he had a failed cameo, And so did Max Muncy. It's second base with the one of those guys turned out to be pretty good. Exactly, And so is their hopes that he could make the nation like roster. Hmm..
