Texans snap 9-game skid by beating skidding Titans 19-14
"The Texans scored 9 unanswered fourth quarter points to defeat the Titans 19 to 14 at Tennessee, earning just their second win of the season, the go ahead score comes on a 6 yard touchdown past two Brandon cooks from Davis mills. I feel like really these past couple of weeks and the tail end of the season, we've been putting a lot of good efforts up and putting a lot of good stuff on tape just hadn't find a way to finish games and today that's what we did. Tennessee gets 126 yards rushing at a touchdown from dairy Henry as they fall to 7 and 8 and are tied with Jacksonville for the top spot in the AFC south. I'm Mike Reeves.

"Got to touch him. Get back up again. There we go. At the giants, you throw records out, but Philadelphia usually wins those games, right? I'm worried at Chicago. Week 17, 18, they got the one seed wrapped up. These guys are. You guys are resting. That could be Christmas Eve. Dallas. Could you imagine they walk into Christmas Eve in Dallas at 14 and out? Oh my God. That's going to be the storyline with each passing week. And then you'll hear Jalen hurts say nobody talked about it, and we were two and 5, so you shouldn't talk about our record now, and it'll be kind of be like, yeah. Certainly if tonight, there is a pivotal game 5 win at home and the Phillies take one step closer to another need to grease light poles in the city of Philadelphia. You know, this is it. Honestly, the second half of the NFL season, that strikes me right now as a story, because I believe you're going to see an 8 no team emerge tonight. Look out below for levy and the rest of that team is Brandon cooks is not playing. They said that he hadn't done enough this week to practice. It's just absurd. It's absurd. It's not like there's padded practices for Thursday night games. Brandon cooks forgot about the offense that he was in just four days ago. He didn't want to go to the walk through. Which is not in his right mindset right now. I bet he's just like losing his mind like really? I'm still here. Dallas wanted me. I couldn't go there. Green Bay, what are they doing? That's an $18 million figure for next year. Nobody wanted to pay, I guess. So that's tonight. It's all about Philadelphia and we're all rent payers this evening. Let's go. I want to thank today's guest Nick friedel and then of course Lamar Jackson. Tomorrow, cam Jordan, the cheetah tyreek hill and Joe mantegna in studio. It could be information to change your life forever, or the something you should know podcast could just be something interesting. Ramit Sadie, talking about being rich. The old definition of rich had a lot to do with how much money you accumulated, but it wasn't about how to spend it, it was more about how to get it, but okay, so once you get it, what do you do with it? In our culture, everybody tells you how to save, but nobody teaches you how to spend it. Something you should know, wherever you listen.

"This is the most obvious pick for this category. Mooney and the bears. Yeah. He's another one in the branding cook zone. I can't think of a single other bears fantasy person I would want. Including QB. Moody's stats last year. First of all, he played every game. 80 one catches 1055 yards. Four TDs and he's the only receiver that I can even name on the bears this year. I'm sure they have other people that are going to play the position I just can't think of any, just like somebody's got to get to 12 hundred yards. The other bears are sealed cast off from other teams that where they couldn't crack the top 5. Like Nikhil Harry, obviously the Patriots receivers couldn't crack their ankles. Yeah, I promise he's not cutting into Mooney's moony stats. This happened, I think it was on your podcast. One of the episodes you guys were talking about Brandon cooks, all the years in a row. He's had a thousand yards. And I was just like, what? Brandon cooks out of that. Like I just had no idea. I could do that. So Brandon cooks, so three players in the NFL have had a thousand yards in 6 of the last 7 seasons. That's insane. 6 O 7. Travis Kelce, Mike Evans, and Brandon cooks. Like four different teams. And he'll probably do it again this year. So I think Mooney is I think he's the brand. I got a good staff for you for Mooney. Yeah. He had a 26% target rate last year. 6th the one receivers. 6th. And that was with Allen Robinson on the offense with him. That's like a 40% target rate in this hospital. Oh my God. That's a good one. Next category. Craig lead us off with the sorry that's way too rich for my blood guy. Derek Henry. Yeah. I'm good. I'm not paying. Can we just sweep the board? 'cause I think that's our number one, right? I'm not paying full price for a pickup truck with 200,000 miles on it. And a broken wow. Tractor seat. I'd rather be wrong and he just is good every year than the one year I get him and he breaks down on me. That can't be me. Well, that Jones fracture is brutal. Was it awesome in the playoff game? Times are gonna be worse. One of the reasons they lost, they have no receivers at all. So you can load the line even more than last year. I'm with you. That's one of those as soon as that gets over 15 bucks. I think I'm out. Is that on my D&D list like McCaffrey? I can't wait for somebody to draft McCaffrey. Honestly, what would you bet your life for McCaffrey games played this year? Would you bet on ten? Your life. I feel like it's either going to be like 15 or four. And I don't know which one to pick. I think he's going to place like, I do think he's going to play like the whole freaking season.

"They can win that division. Well, a different team has won that division every year since O four. So I know it's not going to be the cowboys, but likely the eagles will see if somebody else like the Giants or the commanders can step up at pretty long odds. One more NFL thought, which second year quarterback has the better year this year, I think we can take Zach Wilson out because we know he's going to miss at least four weeks of time. So Trey Lance, Justin Fields, Mac Jones, Davis mills. Davis mills. That's the guy. Like, here's the thing. This is crazy with Davis mills. If you look at his yardage prop for the year. It's around 3700 yards. Now off the top of your head, you go, that's insane. How is he going to throw for those kind of yards? Who is he throwing the ball to? Well, he's throwing the ball to a very good receiver, but a guy who's also hurt all the time. You know his name, don't you? Brandon cooks? There you go. That's the guy. Now Brandon cooks yardage prop. This is even crazier. Brandon cooks yardage proper this year. I think it's right over a thousand yards. So explain to me the math of this whole thing. If Brandon cooks, you had 800 yards receiving last year in like 30, I think they only played 11 games together last year due to injuries and everything else. So if you got 800 yards in 11 games, if he plays all 17, not only is Brandon cook's gonna clear that 1000 yards, but Davis mills should easily go over his yardage prop. This is the guy to bet on. He's gonna have a scary good year. Out of all these second year quarterbacks, nobody's expecting anything of him. My only concern really is that love you Smith is the head coach. And you don't have a seasoned offensive coordinator. This is not a coach who says, okay, let's throw the ball 40 times a game. Because if they did, he could have a Blake bortles type here in Jacksonville where he threw

"To me, if you go back and look at how I've done that twice before, how Lamar Jackson played. He played better when they had all the tight ends on the field. So let's bring that back. I know you're a little upset with us because we got rid of Hollywood, but I think they actually made it where the game can be better and easier for Lamar Jackson by adding these tight ends to go with the guy there. So we've talked about this before about one of the things that they do and their track record is they double up at positions. So when you go back through and look through their history and you look at the tight end position, they did it with pitta and Dixon, I believe, right? The first hit it. And then they came in first. James Hearst. Hayden Hurst, yeah. James Hearst to tackle. By the North Carolina I saw a clowny plague in search of the game. But yeah, so that's their philosophy. What's a draft that stood out to you? Yeah, look, I think the Houston Texans, you know, we talked about it at the top with stinging green as their first round picks, but I really loved what they did on day two. They went with Jalen Petrie, got some speed there at safety to replace Justin Reed, who ended up leaving. And then you get John metchie kind of add into as maybe a little bit more of your middle of the field receiver. You got Nico Collins last year, a little bit of the physical big, bigger body guy, and then you already got the speedster extending Brandon cook. So I think it's a contract extension for the first time in his career. So I thought that was nice. Then Christian Harris upgrades that the athleticism at linebacker because remember, Zach Cunningham, they just straight up cut in the middle of the season last year. And so he kind of fills that void. I even really liked it. Damien pierce pulling a China chop kind of running back there. He needed a little bit more in the run game production. He had 13 touchdowns, had more rushing yards against that stout Georgia defense than any running back did. In this entire draft. So I think that really helps him in the fourth round. Thomas Booker is a guy that we kind of liked as a solid smart player to be up there on the defensive line. You know, maybe on the interior there for lovey Smith there in the 5th round. So I thought they did real good. If I could just give you a quick honorable mention for Tina didn't have a first round pick that I thought did really well. Three of my favorite players go to the Indianapolis Colts with Alec pierce, jelani Woods at tight end and Bernard ryman at tackle. Yeah, and if you look at all the athletic scores in terms of taking way up there. Big time. That's something Chris Bauer's into. You think about the traits they got very athletic.

"And you also go into it that you're going to have a new coach losing a guy like Sean Payton is losing a pillar of your organization. So losing a guy as big of a deal as Sean Payton, no quarterback. They're going to have to hit the reset button here a little bit in New Orleans so some of these guys that are getting up there in age or contractually are very, very expensive, might not make the most sense to hang on to and at this point for the saints. Yeah, I'll pass on Michael Thomas. I just boy. He's played 13 games in the last two years. You don't like slam boy? He fell off. He had one good year. They traded the wrong guy. They had to trade one of them. They traded the wrong guy. They should have kept branding cooks. But that's another point. I don't know, Brandon cooks. Michael Thomas, does Brandon cooks have Michael Thomas this season? Was that 2019 with Drew Brees? He had one really good besides that. I mean, basically, since that season, he's been hurt. Yeah. So I guess Michael Thomas is the peak, but if you want the extended like overall body of work, I'd be more impressed by Brady cooks. Marshall Latin was the one for me, 'cause we just talked about it. They needed second corner. And the documents of right now. But you talked about this on the last show, though. One of the biggest issues for the Patriots is they had a place zone and that forces their linebackers into coverage and that was a big problem. You have JC Jackson and Marshawn Lattimore opposite each other. Oh yeah, go play no zone. Right. Knockers don't have to cover anything. Go ahead. Then go ahead and get all whatever's first name is Chanel from Wisconsin. The 270 pound downhill kit. Leo right and all. You can have him running downhill all you want. If you got JC Jackson opposite Marshall added more. So if they're going to pick a piece off that roster, he's the guy to me, I guess if you want to go like pound for pound, considering he cost a ton. I can't imagine Cameron Jordan would be super expensive at this point. Yeah. And having him opposite Matthew judon, I think would be a nice little fit, but yeah that's where I'm at with that. By the way, Sean Payton is going to be back in the NFL. This is one year off, and then he's going to Dallas..

"It's kind of funny to think about. But that kind is what it feels like. Yeah, I would assume that this isn't necessarily a game plan where the Patriots are gonna feel like they need to blitz a ton to affect Davis mills. I think Davis mills is gonna give it up to them regardless of they put a ton of pressure on them or not. So maybe a game plan where they're similar to what they did last week against Tampa Bay, honestly, where they have the safety in the middle of the field and the deep middle and they have another player in the middle of the field, the rat defender, if you will, whether it's from the linebacker level or another safety like miles Bryant rotating into the box into that role. You put two kind of help defenders in the middle of the field so that all JC Jackson has to do is play bump and run on the outside and make sure that Brandon cooks doesn't beat him on a go ball. That's pretty much all he's got to worry about. He's got help in the middle of the field at both the intermediate and deep levels. Sharp Brandon cooks could catch a little drag rat or a three step slant or something like that underneath the defense, but then you just make the tackle. So that to me is probably going to be a similar game plan as to what it was. Last week, the Patriots really putting a lot of praise on this Tampa Bay are this Houston receiving corpse. They blow smoke up the opponent every single week. So this is something else, though. I think they said it was the best one of the best receiving groups are gonna face all year or something like that. So yeah I look great at cooks next is as much as the next guy, but it's calmed out. Yeah. So it was a weird typical ballot check pumping up the opponent type stuff. So yeah, I think this is gonna be a very big one rat type of coverage for the Patriots. JC Jackson just jam Brandon cooks and make sure you don't get beat on the go ball. And you'll have help to the inside on some of the other in breaking stuff that they run with Brandon cooks, posts, deep overs, things like that. And just make Davis mills look like Davis mills, right? That's really all it has to happen here in this game and they probably win this game. Regardless of what is offensive line. Right. If they lose it's because it's a massive breakdown upfront offensively. Anything short of that, there's no reason for them to lose this game. Yeah. They will have to worry a little bit about outside zone running in this game. David culley coming from Baltimore, knows how to scheme it up in the run game from being with Lamar Jackson and the ravens. He obviously doesn't have Lamar Jackson. Texans had Tyrod Taylor starting in this game and be a lot more interesting to be honest with you..

Lindy like these guys that people took in the first and second round of fantasy football. Now these guys are being written off and respected. And i think there are a lot better than people think about. The panthers are also a lot better. I don't think it's warranted to be eight road favorites though on a short week and i think it's i think the market is just over. I liked the panthers a lot for my first two weeks for the circa million. We have the panthers both weeks and they've done well but i think eight point is a lot in the nfl and it screamed back door cover to me. It just seemed like you're sitting there up. Fourteen and a late touchdown meaningless score. And then you lose your wager because you laid eight points. So i'm with you. I haven't had the guts to take it yet. But i'm i'm going to get as many points as possible. Eight and a half nine. Give me whatever i can get. I'm gonna wind up ground onto onto the texans so the chiefs are off of a loss and this is one of those games where it's like man. Divisional game chargers offense. I think justin herbert's gonna have a big game in fantasy for for player props. I think justin herbert's gonna be throwing the ball all over the place much like lamar jackson did on on monday night. Wh- what do you make or sunday night. What do you make of the chiefs. And the chargers can. The chargers upset kansas city. So lutely i think the last game they play In week sixteen of twenty twenty or twenty was whatever last season the last game that they played the church on straight up. Didn't they and herbert threw for three touchdown. So i did a whole segment on the men on this that but she cannot cover this right and this is this is big six and a half points so i'm not falling for kansas city again. No way i am all on. La la chargers plus six and a half and you know the cheese are only against the spread versus justin herbert so and both times. The chargers were six and a half or more of road underdogs. I should say so..

"Traffic can run over linebackers. He's a very very good tidy and checks system hunter. Henry is a downfield receiver. He'll run the skinny post better than any tie in the nfl. This was something. I was doing as soon as these players. Were signed free agency and this is a genius. Lou could've used one more time in here. This is genius moves. It's an excellent play new england's desire to have to tidying on the field all the time coach. Bela check predates even the hernandez gronkowski years. And it is It's the past. Be prologue to the twenty twenty. One season love this strategy. I love those players Where what position did he drafted out of john. Kerry wasn't a seven spot tonight. I i it even makes it more difficult to accomplish this. When you're towards the middle. I think the only time i've been really able to do it was when i was on the end because the players are so closely packed to each other a good job john carey. I like what you did here We like as far. And when i say we i mean all my dynasty teams that own nico collins Athletics aaron. reese is reporting about him saying that he's seen quote plenty of first team reps in training camp this year now nico collins refresher for those who may not play dynasty. He was a third round. Pick in the nfl draft this year and Has the opportunity to start opposite. Brandin cooks in this. Houston texans offense. He's six four so obviously is much more of a red zone threat in Than than brandon cook says he had an eighty nine th percentile speed score. Seventy seven th percentile bursts score in ninety four percents. I'll catch radius. Now he is not going to be a guy that the texans scheme into games he is not going to be the type of guy where he is to threaten double digit targets every single game however feral he is going to be a threat if a worthwhile fantasy investment if he is indeed the starting or one of the starting wide receivers for the texas. This year tonight's jared hines drass nico collins tonight. Happy sixteen o eight as his number eight. I believe receiver. Yeah number eight receiver. What are your thoughts on nico college this year. As not a dynasty play but as a potential lottery ticket redraft play. It's an absolutely brilliant play and it also allows me with about six minutes left in the show to point out dog who listeners chase. Klay pool was a round pick last year. I was worried. I would go but i did get it and you know. Maybe this guy is this year's klay pool. He goes to situation where there's not a lot of receiver help much. Unlike pittsburgh his role will be widened. So he's in a situation. Where last year. Klay bullheaded defined role Any rookie receiver any receiver on this team as a A big big question market quarterback new situation for a team. That's not very good. And sometimes you know Teams that are not very good one and fifteen and fourteen We'll get an extra game this year so whatever it comes out to be but those teams can produce all sensitive standouts in fantasy football and collins lines up to sort of be that kinda guy. was big target and the catch radius is very important..

"Other players like how many this is like we should have a good trivia. Might my wide receiver. Michael i can name to to get you to five. I'll start off with chris conley k. Micoud got we're just listing. Texans texas wide receivers that are not brandon cook Kiki all right. that's good. Oh that's a good one yet. Chris conley. I had chris conley Let's see i'm trying to think of the most obscure that they have. That would be alex. Ericsson kenny stills. I think is still there. He did he get cut. Yeah he was on the bills practice squad at the end of last year. I know that he came back. You anymore mike. Isaiah coulter as coulter chris. More absolute like. I mean it's like partly crew is a motley crue. I did think chris. Kenny stills came back. I thought they signed him is he currently unsigned that he was ready to go. And i want from high would not have gotten isaiah coulter. So that's that's well done. My clay anthony miller by the way trade anthony miller. It's a very good one too. But the point is made i think here is that it's not. It's not a bunch of superstars. They're spread out on a massive limb to say that brand cooks as the most talented pass catcher. That the texans have and they're going to have to throw to someone and that honestly we don't that defense is going to be very good. Texans are going to be very good so there's a chance you know. Whoever the quarterback is for houston that that person is going to be throwing a lot. When you're throwing a lot you're looking for the most most talented guy in the field. That's brandin cooks. Yeah probably earn. Enough is what i would say Either muggy throwing enough yeah. I mean like his. What's his current eighty. He went ninety six women tenth round. Like i'm at wide receiver. Twenty-seven i don't know i mean like good player very fast. Turn something in enough in our nothing into something like no one ever likes brand cooks and yet to your point. Every year brennan cooks out performances. Adp also for me. There's just something knowing that. I could get brandin cooks so late given the wide receiver one on a bad team. Because i feel like. I'd rather have that than like a wide receiver three on on a a different. Because if they're gonna throw so much if they're going to be down you know he's he's gonna targets he's going to be on the field. There's going to be that opportunity sometime this year. That's my pointless junk time for that team and jokes aside like you know. He's the number one to stand point about a number one wide receiver and a bad team. Like you know he's the number one like i don't know who the number one is on detroit like like i'm not trying to tell you about bad teams like who's the number. One of the jets is a corey davis. Could it be jamison crowder. Who's back there. Trauma from moore's is lighting up camp. Join us. We don't know yet who the number one alpha dog is in the jets offense or the lions. But it's going to be brandin cooks in the tank. 'cause my point let's wrap it up here with devante smith quickly a little bit of an update to so devante smith as we found out yesterday. right it was amazing like shefty broke the news on our air. My she came into the studio. Just tell us it was ran and it was just part of that. Amazing lost episode. I wish you guys going to see in that. Part of the he was on fire and it was one thing that was really humble of devante to call into the show. I'm good guys. He's information is accurate. I'm all good like don't worry about me. i'll be back. I never that was great to what shefty reported. That devante confirmed in this episode. That again. I don't know where it is somewhere out. There loss is that he's got a sprained mc l. He's going to likely miss two three weeks this year last year. We had a lot of rookie wide receivers. We're excited about this year. We feel the same way it feels to me like consensus to be. The case is the one that's generated the most redraft hype. Yes devante smith in this. Mock eighty six eighty seven eighty eight th so end of the ninth round close to whereas adp ninetieth overall on espn. Is there a not adjusting jefferson because jefferson literally was historic last year. But is there a wide receiver. That you're saying yourself you know what. I don't care where he was drafted. I'm care about the bush. And he's in quarterback. He's playing with intrigues me. Most and the skill set from a rookie standpoint a rookie wide receiver. Is that your march as jaylen. Waddell is at demonte smith. You you're gonna think i'm a lodge more is really interesting. I think were shot. Bateman is really interesting In in baltimore. Especially 'cause markey's brown dealing with the hamster yesterday so and rashad bateman obviously you're hearing raves from camp terrace marshall in carolina uh drawing raves as well. He's really interesting. We're going to be the number one wide receiver bateman. I mean i still think mark andrews probably gonna pass catcher in terms of fantasy value. Because i think he's got more red zone. Look but i mean. We're all the three of us in my clay along with like you know to find you and kyle and everyone. We're all in a dynasty league together and i had a choice between terrorists marshall and rashad bateman in the second round and i went with rod bateman which. I'm not sure like but i struggle with that. I went back. And i really liked. But i like i just like bateman talent. Yoko bit at marshall's talented. But those guys and you guys are going to call me at home or two. But i'm i'm really interested to see what happens with diana brown the second half of the year in washington very fast. That much is for sure. Mike how do you like amari. Rogers quite a bit like my rogers a whole lot. Although that that flame has been not quite doused. But it's sort of a flicker right now given the fact that they traded for randall Mike let me ask you quickly as we have about a minute left in the show rookie wide receiver. That you think you are interested in or are you going to go with the strategy of if i play eight different leagues i might have one bit of exposure to march as here one of the day here. One of jalen waddell. There's that makes sense. Which way leading. It totally depends. Who's available right. I mean she chases going as high as the fifth round i mean to monte smith he can get in the eighth round of twelve team league so look i think last year we talked about which rookie wide receiver has the clearest path to a huge target share. The answer was obvious it was it was just in jefferson this year. It's dismissed so i agree with you. He's not going to produce at that level but he has the chance to push for a twenty five percent target share at some point this season and history says receivers picked in the top. Ten to a ton of damage stats..

His shot was blocked by the goaltender Hank Johnson. But it pulled Johnson off balance and a little bit away from the goal mouth and trailing the play was bride. He picked up the rebound and got the easy put back short. Handed an air force was up to nothing at 2 20 of the second period. Mercier's got back in the game later in the period when Jonathan Ben Dorf even strand scored, George, your G federal AV was got to help for the assist on the play and at 5 38 of the second period. The Lakers were on the scoreboard for the first time it was 21. That's how the first two periods ended up. Air Force took a lead into the third period for the first time all season, but they surrendered. As I said four goals in the third period. The last two were empty netters, but the ones that hurt We're, uh, Dante share of school at 1 48 of the third even strength rife in Burger and Norton assisted on the play that made it 22, and then they took the lead The go ahead goal. Michael Devil Aqua at 6 18 of the third period unassisted that made it three to the added an empty netter at 18 23 of the third by Paul Mosque, another empty netter at 1935 of the third that came from federal law, and that was it five to The final score. We're gonna given iron Man of the game award. Never perfect. Pretty much going to wrap it up here from theory this afternoon. Yeah, Jr. Iron Man of the game is going to go to the Air Force Senior winger Marshall Ballerina out of Rochester Hills. Monsieur. I thought Valerie played a tremendous game tonight. He had several key clears in a penalty kill that killed all five of Mercier's power place. In the game. Valerie had an assist a swell on Blake Brian's goal. He won six face offs in the game, and Marshall Valeria guy playing better and better. He took a missile in the chest on Wednesday against Sacred Heart blocked the shot had a huge bruise that he was playing with tonight. Playing with that on the way he did tonight, Marshal Valerie is our iron Man of the game. The assist he got was his first point of the spear was well, you know. Marshall. He assisted because his shot was saved. And that's the one that Blake bride put back in for the short handed goal, which was the first Shorty of the season for Bride and the second Shorty of the season for Air Force two short handed goals now for the Falcons in back to back games. Bright spot for Air Force Today had to be the power play. Yeah, Yeah, Exactly. The penalty kill, probably kill killed. All five against Mercier's came in top 15 in the nation number one in Atlantic hockey at 24% on the power plant. Boy Air Force took a lot of penalties. Five penalties in the game. Four of them came in the second period. Penalty kill was fantastic. Zach LaRock made a pile of saves in this game as well. And he kept air force in it until the very end. So yeah, the The penalty kill exactly rock bright spots for Air force, and the final score from today's game was Mercier's five. Air Force two final score Brought to you by Elliot fueled by innovation. Driven by integrity value delivers world class best value Services and solutions. So the Falcons was one more crack on this road trip of getting their first win of the season won't be easy, but we're back here tomorrow afternoon couple hours earlier. 305 Eastern time, the Pakal drop on the fifth and final game of the 10 Day road trip for the Falcons. And the biggest thing for the Falcons tomorrow night. Spend more time in Mercyhurst and Air Force didn't Spend enough time down there didn't get enough scoring opportunities. Not enough shots on the more offense. You play the better. Your defense isn't it helps your goaltender Zach LaRock. That's the gold tomorrow forever. We're on the air tomorrow. A couple hours earlier, as I mentioned a 305 eastern time start that is 105 back in Colorado Springs. 30 minutes before that. "Play by Cook. He funnels one toward the net. Never got there grabbed by Quinn, Rikers. Wickers chips it out of there, and it gets past everyone and through the legs of Jake Levin, it came in on LaRock. Levin skates back takes it from Laurent finds cook. Cooked with a long pass. That Gavin had a chance at and they took a funny bounce on him went over a stick, not touch. So that's I say that's a tough one to handle. And Brandon Cook, you're shaking his head. He knows better than that. He he had more time He tried to get that puck to Gavin stand of sending him one on the ice That's easier to handle. He sent it about waist high, and it was kind of a knuckle puck. Haven't couldn't handle it Icing the call in another face off in the air Force, and Michael will take the Air Force dry. Lakers win the draw shot after the face off save made by LaRock and then he falls on top of the park. As the Lakers crashed the Nets and boy Quick whistle, but that's a break for air force. Why it is we needed that one. That shot went off of one of the Air Force defenseman either. Why go or cooked but the top of the right side circle hit one of them right in the pants and turn and change direction. LaRock had gone down, had to reach behind him to cover that puck up another face off. The right of Zach Laurent 27th shot on goal for the Lakers. A soft one by Mercyhurst Lakers. Grimmette in it wraps around behind the rock trying to pick it up far. Side note. I can't control it dumped right back in by the Lakers. They fight for it on the back wall. Maynor taps it lose, but the Lakers get to it first. Kept alive by Mercier's here and shot in from a circle Far side saved made by LaRock on Rifle Burger. 28 shots for Mercyhurst just 12 for airports, and that tells you where the majority of the play has been in another example right there. Air Force just could not Get it out. Mercier stood a great job of sealing those walls off, not letting air force get up the wall space off in the same spot to the right of Laurent. My all the moment, um, in this game right now belongs to the guys in Green and white. Face off.

"First intermission of the Mercyhurst Ice Center here in Erie, Pennsylvania. In the 1st 20 minutes of this game, Mercyhurst leads in every stat category except goals. That's the big one that really matters. Air Force got the only goal of this period to 51 Mark Brandon Cook. First goal of the season for the sophomore defenseman. The assists on the plate to a couple of freshman Bryan Adams and will Gavin shots on goal. Mercyhurst doubled up air Force in that category. 11 shots on goal for the Lakers just five. For the Falcons is one penalty called in that period. It was called on Mercyhurst. It came right at the end of that goal that was scored by Brandon Cook, Bryan Adams drew the penalty. You went against the Lakers Air Force over one on the power play 18 face offs in that first period. This isn't a new area that air force really needs to get better at the talked about that in the team meeting today, you've got to be able to dig in. And when those draws, especially those key draws in special teams situations all tonight, it's Mercyhurst. Leading in that category. 18 draws Mercyhurst has won 11 of them. Air Force has won seven block shots. Same again. Mercyhurst with five block shots in the game Air force with just three and 17 in that game on Wednesday, again Sacred heart and that's a staple of this Air force defense is getting in those shooting lanes blocking those shots. 11 of them got through to Zach LaRock, who made 11 saves Air Force just three blocks shots in that period one Nothing as both teams get set to return to the ice here start period. Number two. There was a top exactly rock tested pretty good in the first period and the Falcons were all over Hank Johnson, especially early on They were, but they only got five shots.

"One to try to force overtime in this game will keep an eye again. Zack Lower Rockies, still standing right next to the Air Force bench, and Ebert, Joe Doyle going over a few tactics. The rock puts the helmet back on. Let's see where he's heading. If it's back to his crease or the bench, he's heading toward the crease. But you never know sometimes little gamesmanship there, you know that the visiting coaching staff is watching that as well. Andy Berg, working hard, drawn up something offensively, therefore, Air Force See who Air force sends off the rock is going back to the bench. I mean, yell for Air Force. Brandon Cook, Sean Norton. Jake 11 made horn Bennett Norland. Really rhyme actually known and goes off to ask us is in now and ask us is going to take this face off empty net for Air Force offensive zone face off, so they pulled a goal tender and come with six against five. To 16 to go in the game. Tap one by the pioneers went around to Lombardi, who sends it out of his own, and it will be a foot race. After that Loose pocket Cook will beat everyone to it for Air Force. Falcons have to move it. 200 ft. Now they've got six Attackers against five for the pioneers, but the net is empty for Air Force. Thrown thrown at the net from center ice. Benson the goal He got a stick on it couldn't control it. Trying to settle it down over here on the near side is going to be 11. His shot is blocked by Ryan steal. It ends up behind the net. Benson watching over his right shoulder with a minute 40 left in the game. Three to Sacred Heart goalie is out for Air Force and the Falcons have the puck. At the blue line. Now they go down low with the far side back up high halfway then they get it. 11 at the blue line. His shot is gonna be hitting bodies on the way in rattling around in the crease area, but cleared out of there by the pioneers Captain. Play by Willie Rhyme Feed to cook at the Blue Line gets it. 11 High Slide Jake Lemon, what they drive off the stick of Anderson. I believe up and out of play and bodies in front again. Willie Rhyme was down there on the first drive that was taken by Jake 11. There was a good Look, the theater for senior defenseman. Let's look at this shot here high at the center point by living. That was the one that got up and out of playing in just before that. Norman and Ryan had a good look right down low in this extra attacker situation again still empty Net for Air Force 1 15 left now. Third period Falcons change up their personnel. This is pasta. Pinsky on the dot happens trying to tie this game. Down a goal 32 minute tend to go. They got the extra attack Iran. They worked the perimeter of the blue line. Now they go down low far side is shut down. The goal line from there had saved by Benson puck loose but cleared behind the net. Have to live by air Force brought out to the blue line. At the blue line. Sam Brennan has it They're sends it across criss crosses with Maraj is Maraj is down low for Bowery Bowery spins it around for bride Bride on the half wall. With under a minute to go now in the game, Maraj is high in the slot went to shot Harper on the doorstep. Trying to get a piece of it couldn't do it, but comes out of a pack of players and it's kept alive by Brennan. 33 seconds to go in the game. There's a centering pass broken up, or I just has a top of the circle spins away from the defensive pressure. Zach Maraj is in the high slot for the one timer given shot save made by Benson falling down, and it's cleared back the other way by the pioneers with 15 seconds to go in the game behind the play. We had a big hit..

"Yeah, I would cook with Brandon cooks this week last week he was a absolute stud had a huge game for fantasy manager's. He's got the Titans this week. They've allowed 20 touchdowns and the third most fantasy points. Wide receivers in that same game. I like Corey Davis. He had us think of last week, No points on two targets. But the Texas of 21 touchdowns and the six most points the wide receiver, so I think this could be a high scoring game and then Hollywood Brown. I mean, earlier in the season, he had done next to nothing, but he has now given you 12, plus fantasy points in five straight games, and back in week five, he had nearly 20 fantasy points against Cincinnati. So Hollywood Brown is a wide receiver Three Flex this week. Wide receivers to sit Tyler Lockett, He remains on the list. He has failed to score more than 20.3 fantasy points in six straight games. Three of those games he scored single digits and the 40 Niners held him to just 7.3 fantasy points back in week. Eight. Judiciousness Schuster is a really tough sell for me. The Browns defense is much better at home and bend rather's burgers, not playing. And if you have a short memory Well, then maybe you don't remember that When Jude you played with base and Rudolph last year, it was not very good. Chase Claypool. Also on that system list and Robert Woods. Here's the good news. He's probably gonna get a lot of targets this week because Cooper Cup is on the covert 19 list. Here's the bad news. Those targets are gonna be coming from John Woolford, who has as many NFL pass attempts as Jason and I So start Robert Woods with Extreme caution. All right, tight end started setting where you gotta start Michael Sticky this week against the bills. They've allowed eight touchdowns and the seventh most fantasy points too tight. Anson gets sick. He has a really nice report going on there with two a tongue of Loa, Evan and groom who's been up and down all season long like a roller coaster, But he has scored at least 9.5 points and all but one of seven career games against my beloved but pitiful Dallas Cowboys, who might actually still win the division. That's just crazy. Ah, couple of Titans to sit this week Austin Hooper against the Steelers. Cleveland will get back all of their top four wide receiver's off the coded list, and the Steelers have allowed only two touchdowns. The tight ends all season Long and Jimmy Graham don't chase the points Last week, he had two touchdowns. He's got a revenge game this week. To me, it doesn't matter. The Packers I've only allowed five touchdowns and the fourth fewest fantasy points too tight. And so keep Jimmy Graham on the sidelines. Alright, well, your fantasy playoffs may be coming to an end. But the NFL playoffs air here and the NFL.

"But as a fan, their mentality sometimes, like, for example, your kids might be well intentioned, but as much as they really want to do something, you gotta go like, Listen, kid. You're not gonna do this right now. You're not. You don't realize what you're getting yourself into. This isn't best for you Long term. And for players that like is a fan. You look at the players, you go yell. I get these guys want to get in, but that's not best for them like it's not best for the team. You care about the team. You want to see the team do well. The players want to do well because they want to have the reputation of Hey, we got to the playoffs. They try to make more money out of that. So their contracts at stake. I get that reputation at stake. So for that reason they want to get to the playoffs. But as a fan I wonder how many fans of teams in the NFC East actually want to see their team make it this week? Plaster on the line. I mean, how many teams or how many fans actually want to see their team tank out? So 855 to 1 to 4 to 27 and Terry Jones show. Also, Let's talk. Tomo dp in Cleveland. What's up D p. Hey, You're all right. I want to make two points. First of all. What you talking about right now with the NFC East and the one in the team to make it? Yeah. Completely agree last year last game of the season, I wanted the Browns to lose. I've never wanted to brown salute, but I was like, why would we win? It's not gonna help anybody. Not gonna make sense that he goes down or up is not gonna make us go down there. If we need more players we need to hire drafty. So I was okay with us Losing. Plus, we got really kitchen, so I completely understand. Yeah. Get rid of kitchens was a big deal, by the way, Because now you got your fancy massive upgrade. Yes. And about the Lyman love for the Lyman. I'm gonna tell you right now really, really important. The Browns lost to the jet. Not only because we didn't have any wire receivers, which I think was a travesty but also Baker make do with under the rest most of the game. He thought he had a fumble because guys were sacking him and hitting him before all over the place, because why it tell her was number one Rank lineman. Out for a game and then our number one draft pick from last year. Our left tackle without for the gang. Two of our best lining after the game made the whole game a lot of different. The Jets look like Old giants from like the eighties like that's how bad it was without alignment. Offense of lining playoff big role, Not to mention Karim Hunt. Nick Chubb can't run if they don't have any guy blocking. Exactly. It's they batter so much, but we we talk about these guys. We include them in the analysis so rarely, and it's a shame. And thanks for the call, man. I appreciate like that's the point. You see David Bachtiar e Go down you go, man. That's a massive deal, but After the games, playing as the game's getting played, It's gonna be a lot of like, Well, you know, Aaron Rodgers just needs to handle pressure better. I mean, like, if that's the case, Yeah, sure you'd like to they handle the pressure better, but also losing an all pro left tackle is a massive deal. That's a huge deal. They're Super Bowl ads take a bit of a hit because he went down. So those kinds of things really matter it just feels like it doesn't get talked about enough so a 55 to 1 to 4 to 27. It's I joined the show 855212. 4 to 27. I'm Vince Quinn in for J. R. And when we come back a lot of wide receiver talk in the next hour, Brandon Cook said something really interesting to say that's coming up next. Keep it right here. It's Jane and.
