"Your host Dmitri filipovich. Welcome to the hockey PDO cast. My name is amid Philip povich and joining me is my buddy John Mattis John, what's going on man? Not a whole lot, just getting through that first day after the deadline minus the weekend. Still trying to process things, which obviously sets up well for what we're about to tackle. Yeah, it does. First show post deadline for me as well. I had a bit of a chance here over the weekend to reflect tie up loose ends, see where we're at. You know, the dust has settled a little bit, although I still would like to see more games with some of these guys in their new teams to really get our sea legs, but it's been a while since we did a mail bag in the video guys, 'cause we're so busy over the past week or two with kind of like more pressing trade stuff. So now we have the benefit of taking a step back and answering some listener questions and having some fun the way we were doing previously. So that's the plan for today. We've asked the listeners to come through with questions. They've delivered. We've picked 5 or 6 of our favorite ones that I think allow us to cover the most ground. And so we're going to get into it. So here's the first question from Kyle. Kyle asks, who is the odd man out on D in Boston? And the reason why is an interesting question is because they've played 5 games now since acquiring endometrial law from the Washington capitals prior to the deadline. And they're kind of left with 7 NHL defensemen that I think that ideally like to play. So they've been basically alternating who sits in game one after the trade. They sack on her Clifton, then they sat back grizzly, then they sat Brandon Carlo, then they sat Derek Ford work, and then most recently they sat back. Again. And there was some talk that

Pavel Zacha scores twice as Bruins beat Maple Leafs 5-2
"The bruins stretched their lead in the Atlantic division by dumping the second place Maple Leafs 5 two. The bruins entered a season high three game losing streak and moved 13 points ahead of Toronto. Bruins coach Jim Montgomery wasn't too worried about their skid. I don't think relief would be the right words. It was about us getting back to our standard and our team identity. It was a three two game until Pavel zacha scored twice in a three ten span of the third period. Charlie Coyle set up second period goals by Derek forbert and Brandon Carlo. AJ grier made it three one early in the third. Mitch marner and Callie yarn croc scored for the leafs. I'm Dave ferry.

That's something to keep an eye on too. Because that's the one I always see McLaughlin kind of hanging out in the fourth line. Yep. And like you said, I wonder if I don't think it's performance, maybe, but maybe there are just things like you said that he needs to work on. So that's very interesting. down that, rabbit hole, talking about no sick, and staying with sort of the injury, sort of the injury talk Brandon Carlo, he got hurt last week. It's just sort of one of the fears that I have when we talk about the trade deadline is I just depth on defense, I think is just so huge and especially if God forbid you lose a mcavoy lindholm, they could be in some real trouble, I think. So what do you think the injury well, hopefully we get Carlo back as soon as we can, I don't really feel the need to rush him. I mean, at this point, if their game time decisions, I would say you just, you know, but what are your thoughts on that situation? That's what seems to be going around the bruins circles on Twitter today and even yesterday when the news came out that he was taking regular shifts at practice and looked good. "And then against the islanders, he's moved down mid game with Brandon Carlo, showing that they can kind of plug in place with him, put him anywhere. Seems like this guy, at least in the short term. Long term, it's hard to tell how he'll age and things like that. But short term return, again, very short. Looks pretty damn good. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, wherever you kind of put him in the lineup, he's been impactful. And it's one of those things where you'll get his baseline production. You look at his frame and how he projects a top four stalwart gado E, 20 plus minutes a night, power play PK. That's all great. And that helps out a great deal on this defense, right? In terms of just having that stabilizing presence that, you know, for at least the next 8 years, you can pencil them into the lineup. Wherever you put them with, whether it's a mcavoy with Kahlo, wherever. It's going to work out pretty well. But then maybe some of the other things with his game that are maybe a little bit tougher to quantify, but make such a huge impact. That game against Tampa. He was so good in transition, whether it's just retrieving the puck, whether it's making that first pass, he had a few where he exited the zone holding on to the puck himself. There's just so many ways that even if that's maybe not something that catches the eye of maybe casual fan. It makes a world of a difference, especially against teams like Tampa where it's one mistake in the D zone, all of a sudden there are one nothing. They can bury in a hurry. Look at a team like Carolina, which I think they're bread and butter is more or less that four check they have and it's creating turnovers, creating havoc and capitalizing on those chances. When you've got, you know, you already have weapons on that defense with guys like mcavoy, who are good at negating that..

"Think people outside the market see, oh, you know, they make the playoffs every year, you know, astronaut and sort of some of these guys have developed and Brandon Carlo and Charlie mcavoy and people kind of leave out the 2015 draft and Frederick and beecher and some of those things and some of the free agent signings like badass. And so it's an interesting case. You know, I had said back after the bruins lost the islanders in June that Sweeney probably wasn't the guy going forward. They needed somebody knew they could draft better. Now, the draft, this past summer, was actually pretty good. I think that's they did well in that draft. They picked the best guys. They did not look for toughness and grit. They did with Frederick and guys like beecher. They instead went for the best available, especially with lysol. I think that was a terrific first round pick. And I don't think that's one of the, and even if I saw those in pan out, I don't think you can look back and go, oh, the bruins blew that pic. Like, no, that was the best guy available. Hey, that's a lot. So, you know, I don't think they're headed for rebuild right now. Again, you've got mcavoy locked up. You got Carlo locked up. You have swayman in net. You have all market net for a few more years. Up front, you got marchand for a little while. The issue, the hole is, what do you do about down the middle? That's the big question. Again, Steve nika hasn't really panned out to be a top 6 center in the NHL. Frederick, same thing, beecher. Watch the watch Michigan a little bit. It's tough to tell,.

"And so a guy like for, you know, he was brought in because he has size, he's mobile. He's really not much of a point producer as we've seen, although he was one of the first to score a goal might have been the first, if I'm not mistaken, I know he'd be might have been. I think he was. You know, he just threw the puck to the net against San Jose from the point. It wasn't a highlight real goal by any stretch. But that's what you say your deed. You really need to do when they have the pocket point, sometimes it's just about getting shots through. Unfortunately for Derek forward in his his defense and game. That's his bread and butter. And he's really been struggling. And I think it might be a case of maybe trying to do too much, maybe understanding that he's being counted on to be that rock of Gibraltar, so to speak on the back end on the left side, you've got Brandon Carlo. I think if you look at forward statistics in terms of his 5 on 5 play, probably similar to Carlo in terms of the numbers, but unfortunately in a game like against he had Saturday night in Toronto, you just get exposed because you're going against those high end guys and if you if you don't end a play or you're unable to get a full possession of that puck that attempted pass and you're kind of there, it's kind of like a leaky goalie for leaky goal for a goalie. You know, the shot hits the goalie and goes in. It looks worse than if he had just been beaten cleanly. And it's the same thing for a defenseman. If he's got a stick in position, but the pup hits it and hops over or he can't control it and it bounces away and then the opponent corrals it and puts it in the back and then that unfortunately that D is the goat and I'm not talking about Tom Brady great. I'm fine. Different kind of goat. Different kind of gold. You know, they're not good kind of goat..

Um, but I mean, it's so there's no debate when you when there's a guy on the ice, and you're Down. They're giving him the business. And then you drag Panera and down one of the stars of the sport, and, you know, whatever. So they don't play the capstone played tonight like I was running if we're going to hear anything on Potential suspension today. But they don't And we forgot to even bring up breaking was mentioning the break The tweet. The caps put out last night that they quickly deleted the violence and rent free crazy tweet about Tom Wilson. Uh, yeah. Yeah, that didn't go over well, either got to lead us. Yes, it did. But so the league can actually sit on this one for a day. If they so desire, the capital's don't play again. No, it's today. Tuesday. They play tomorrow against the Rangers played the second game of their little miniseries against the Rangers. So Maybe the league Don't know what the league does. Maybe they just sift through with this stuff today before they decide what to do. I mean, I'm not even going to say it any more is going to say if he doesn't get a hearing right hearing is at least five games right if he doesn't get a hearing, what do we do it, But it's the energy that's not gonna work myself up anymore in person, which would mean that it's six or longer. I mean, there's each. The fact that it's taken this long is just ridiculous and itself because there are some incidences where it is pretty much announced immediately afterwards. Were it slow or first thing? The next morning, there's going to be a hearing coming from the NHL with whoever it is and the fact that it's taken this long. For an announcement to come is Is certainly an indication that it's going to be less than five games. He got seven games for the boarding hit on Brandon Carlo. It is Mother apologize, though, the funny thing about repeat offenders. Is that he had the NHL allows your entire record toe wash. If enough time goes by in between, which is, you know, like car insurance guy. It's safe driving. Ever got any accidents like I'm gonna drop your rate. With Tom Wilson. Immediately got in trouble again, Right, which is like, Oh, he was just waiting for that period of time to toll And then he boarded a guy for a seven game suspension. So you know, common sense would indicate that what they should do is say, like Oh, you're a year ago. The targets people in the works of system toe hurt as many players as possible. Oh, yeah. One year and one year in the future, If you ever do it again, ever. You're not. You're not gonna play ever again. Let's see him play. Let's see him Play one hockey game, knowing that if he does something like that he's done for his career. He went a good Almost three years. It'll about 2.5 years been a good 2.5 years without, you know, getting suspended by the league. So Harav for him? Yeah. So you get suspended in March for Carlo. According to the story I've got from Greg Wyshynski. The previous suspension was September of 2018 20 games for an illegal checking a preseason game. I'm looking at the sun hit on Oscar sunk, That's the life that's the 20 thing. That's always just so amazing to me. About this. I just I think it's so it's such a broken mind set that you know he's tough. He fights Hill Hill hit guys here, but when he plays clean, they'll do all that. There's so many scummy hits on and I just, you know to say, Well, guys were pulling away. He hit Brian Do Mullen in the head from behind. Like this guy is headhunting, right? He is 100% headhunting and It's It's tough because when a guy is willing to back it up and fight like he will, from time to time you get the feeling he's a tough guy. Tough guy He does. A lot of cowardly thing is that he's a cheap, tough guy. Yeah, Dirty, tough guy. Tough guys stand up and fight and Del put. You can get tough guys who will play the game clean. They don't cheap shot people. They will drop the gloves in a heartbeat. They'll challenge you, They'll stick up for teammates, builder. They don't They don't cheap shot guys like I didn't think I don't think Rob Ray was a dirty hockey player. He'd find anybody and everybody, but I don't You know, he was never dirty. This guy is dirty. On and.

Defenseman Brandon Carlo won't be in the lineup for tomorrow's game, but is aiming for a return against the Devil's next week. He was asked today about the injuries in his morale at this point in the season. It's a blessing to be here and play games in the NHL in something you definitely don't want to take for granted, because just as I got back, I was very Excited and then I'm out again with oblique injury and that was disappointing. Bold Predictions for the Bruins' 2021 Lineup
"I mean, I think the defense is cut-and-dry as to who the top Thai it's going to be it's going down. CSX home who we've talked about before thing that was on Bruins beat but everything you want and a top-four defenseman, right? I mean, he's a veteran guy thirty years old he signed for for a great value. I think it's three point six million per year signed through next year big body 6-4 eats a lot of minutes and also as like a good five-on-five score, I think like his scoring gone off this year. I think he's got like four or five goals in like a short amount of time. So my fantasy team he he does, you know, yes, but he's German a lot of office right now, but even without kind of this, you know spurt in terms of five and five goals, he's also I think getting a lot of just good at driving the plates good at moving the puck for a big body all that stuff. So I think he's thrown away the the topic there again, we're back to see what Brandon Carlo status is cuz right now I don't think anyone really knows what it's going to be which you might have to address that on the right side, but I think if you're looking for and we've talked about this, but as good as this defense is dead. Is a whole lot of risk in terms of rolling out lausanne and zaboor and back and iron and just you know, throwing them to the Wolves when you play Washington or if they get past it Tampa or one of these teams, right? That's a lot of these kids in a year where you should be going all-in. So I think you definitely need a defenseman but it all kind of goes back to you know, what the price would be farik ho mere fact that there's not a lot of other top-tier bloodshot D out there that at least fit all you know, check all the boxes off like at home does so it's going to be a lot forum. And also you're going to have a bunch of other teams that going to be going after them. I see Philly like targeting them him especially with the way the decor is said they need to shore up their their place their spots even more cuz like they're one young but also they're letting in a lot of goals the Bruins. I'm sorry, you feel like Philly be even more desperate for a guy like that. But I think easily feeling a defense. He's the guy that the Bruins and a bunch of other contenders want.

"Red Wings right in terms of their offense, but they still did a pretty good job, you know, they were I think it was World looked pretty good the last couple of games especially in terms of moving the puck obviously not Clunkers have been very good together home internet has been pretty solid. There. Was that one kind of money break away. There's a little bit of miscommunication between Clifton and terminology but as a whole, I mean he's doing his job. Like, you know what? I think we've not even over here expecting a dog. You just going to kind of a big body like he's moving the puck. Well, he's doing what he needs to do social far. They've been solid. But again, we can run into that situation where you know during this entire string they haven't able to string together. These consecutive wins. You've had them either had the same old issue where there's no secondary scoring what you saw on Sunday or we've had a situation where it's like the last game against the island is Right Where I just got the wheels blown off cuz that defense was giving him so many chances so, you know, maybe playing it fires not the right term but it's obviously not great like the situation right now. They need they need other help just to stabilize and you know, Kevin Miller they hope he's going to be back by this week. But again, that's It's it's tough not saying, you know, not.

"And welcome back to the Bruins speed on CLS media. My name is Evan off-screen. Hope you guys are having a great week a great day. Obviously right now in Bruins land things are up and down as I said to Conor to be any of the subject things are kind of teetering around. They're good. Then they're bad then they're okay, then they're bad again and they're great. So we discussed that in this episode. We also the main topic of today's episode is you can read by the title is a story. I think it's going to become a lot bigger in the next couple of weeks as the trade deadline approaches, but is it time for the Bruins to trade Jake debrusk and Connor night discuss at length the pros the cons what you might get why you wouldn't why you would trade depressed? I think there's a lot it's more complex than he's just playing bad and off. Let's ship them off for a you know for from Stockholm straight-up. There's a lot more to it and we get into that pretty in-depth again. Good bad the ugly all that stuff then we moved. Some Brandon Carlo talk and obviously what he means to the Bruins you all know. We got into really what the ramifications of this injury could mean for him. And for the Bruins, where do they go from go from here on defense? So those are the main two topics in today's episode not the most positive not not maybe not the not the episode we did after Tahoe when everything was awesome things are a little different today, but they are very important story lines and you're going to see them play out. I think a lot more here within the next couple of weeks before we get in today's episode. 31 Thoughts: The Podcast
Washington Capitals' Tom Wilson suspended seven games by NHL for hit on Boston Bruins' Brandon Carlo
"Elliot seven game suspension for tom wilson. I don't wanna go over. They can prejudice a jury here. I don't want to go over the usual arguments here about did he. Didn't he intention all that kind of stuff. That always gets itself played out hysterically on twitter and we saw that fire tonight and over the weekend and no these conversations going to happen. But what are some of the questions that you had going into the tom wilson hearing and are you surprised that he had one in the first place and does any part of a seven game suspension. Surprise you you know. I think the most interesting thing i've found is that you know there are a lot of people who believed that. He only got suspended. Because he's tom wilson And that if it was just about any other player in the nhl who delivered that hit. We wouldn't be talking about anything here. And i think the capitals believe that. I mean you heard peter laviolette save. I saw the the hit. I mean his feet round the ice. He stayed down with everything. Looks like a hard hit in the corner of not not exactly sure what happened but to me. It looked like just a hit. You heard ovechkin call it a joke And one of the things we talked about on. Fridays podcast was. How frederick drove the capitals crazy on the wednesday night game the night to game two nights earlier when he was all over ovechkin than ovechkin spirit him and you were the one who asked okay. How was he allowed to do this. And then two days later they play again and on the shift with carlo. Wilson tries to engage frederick a couple of times. And frederick's noah got a constant winning a game here and he runs over carlo you know. Maybe he was frustrated. I don't know i i. I don't know how wilson would explain it but you know. Saturday is a day. I make a of my phone calls and i asked around legalized and people are just generic conversation. It came up. What do you think about wilson how bad you think he's gonna get it and i did have a lot of people say to me if this was anyone other than number forty three on the capital's nobody would even be talking about this. Nobody would be if it was a hit that anyone else delivered. It wouldn't be a penalty or suspension. A lot of people felt them. But that's what happens when you have the history right. All of a sudden people look at you differently. You don't get the benefit of the doubt name Four hundred other players in the league if they throw that hit they get nothing but because of his history. That's what happened in this case. Like i really believe probably looked at elliot. Moore's while that was a tough hit with a bad outcome. But because his tom. But but i think generally predisposed to assume the worst when it comes to tom wilson but that's a reputation that earned so on friday night. He throws the hit because there was head contact. The first thing everybody looks at is rule forty eight yep illegal check to the head and is the head the main point of contact and the answer there is no this is my guess. My guess is that the people in the nhl department of players safety said this is not a rule forty eight and then when they started thinking about it they looked at it and they're like we don't like this. Is there anything else it is and if you read rule forty one which is boarding. You know it's there you can make that argument. And i think that's exactly what happened. Is they made that argument. And they said that's boarding. Now it's new president's you know that's not the way boarding tends to get called boarding tends to get called when a guy has hit from behind and carl wasn't hit from behind i think that's one of the things that the capitals and possibly the players association discussed wise. You guys don't call boarding like this and at the end of the day that's why it wasn't also like thirty or forty games because boarding doesn't carry those kinds of suspensions historically the highest boarding penalty i could find. I suspension was zac. Rinaldo in two thousand fifteen. It was eight games. Right and wilson gets seven. So i think that's why he got less. You know the other thing. Is you know the capitals argued. It was a clean hit like some other people had said to me and the league just felt the totality of it all was illegal.

Washington Capitals' Tom Wilson Receives 7 Game Suspension After Hitting Boston Bruins' Brandon Carlo
"Tom wilson's added again. The washington capitals rugged. Ford i was gonna call him tough guy but that was very tough thing. He did there recently against the boston. Bruins tom wilson has now been suspended for seven games for a hit against the boards on boston's brandon carlo. And it was well ugly in every way hit can be ugly. It was basically carlo up against the boards. Got the pocket and his skates. And wilson comes up and pretty much collides with the side of the guy's head and he left the game due to injury and It was just and it's not one of those deals where he can sort of. Give the guy the benefit of the doubt. Tom wilson continually runs into trouble with the nhl law and I mean these seven game. Suspensions four-game game suspensions the they just don't seem to be getting through to this guy. Now what did you think of him. There's no doubt in my mind that that he's lining up the guy's head okay whether shoulder right. That's the big hit right. That's the big hit when you when you leave the ice. Hers people incorrectly. See all the time. He left his feet. You know when he when he's leaving the isis the guys up against the boards. I think he's not even looking at him. Got his head down and this guy sort of lays into them with a shoulder to connect with his head. Okay so that's that's a terrible brutal disgusting dirty hidden hockey. Triple that stevie. When you're looking at the guys had up against the glass and you're gonna go smashing. You know like the guy the guys up the guys up against the boards and there's his his face might even be against the glass when he does it steve. It's just freaking heinous man idea. I thought i. That's what i thought when i looked out said that's like punching a guy down steve that's like punching a guy when his heads on the ice and you know as heads on the ice right. They don't do it right. You seldom see that right. The guy will pull up. What was the example. Last week was a beautiful example. The guy waving the linesmen and because he was going to use going to murder the kitty was fighting right. Yeah but this guy. I think he. He saw it from a mile away in terms of hockey speed. You know like you have a good two seconds there and tried to smash his head like a pumpkin into the glass. That's what i that's what i saw. Elsie the same. I mean and it's and it's this guy it's one of those deals where maybe i'm throwing around benefit of doubt of. It's somebody who's never done something like this before because it is a fast game and guys move the last second but there's nothing i can find here where i i can even begin to go down that road. A it's is tom wilson. You know if there's been a murder and there's a serial killer hanging around the scene of the crime. I'm gonna probably look his way and not given benefit of the doubt It's tom wilson and brandon. Carlo is totally stationary up against the boards. There was one today it was. Let's see. I think it was chicago in saint. Louis i wanna say and There was a big hit Behind the net and I mean it was one where he could look at and say okay. Well that's second go either way but this one was just. This is a guy. Carlos stationary against the boards. He didn't change direction. Didn't spin at the last second. He's totally still. And this guy had really his choice of where he wanted to hit him and He clearly chose get the the good. Maybe do the most damage knock this guy goofy. Get the puck and off. I go and intimidating. That's tom wilson's game. And so it's that's that's the frustrating part of it but more than that though it's hard for me to get to work out a budget anymore. Because the nhl at large doesn't seem to care that much y'all through a seven game suspension. Well this guy's been suspended repeatedly in the league and It doesn't seem to change anything for him and they don't ever seem to want to do something more fierce with this

Washington DC’s Tom Wilson Not Penalized For Hit On Boston Bruins’ Brandon Carlo
"Almost literally took a 51 beating in Boston and in their four game win streak and pretty miserable fashion. It was a physical game, one that included a controversial Tom Wilson hits on Brandon Carlo that was not penalized. That sent Carlo to the hospital. The Bruins then had a three goal second period after that place, so coach Peter Laviolette, it's fair to ask. Did you guys get sidetracked by all the physical play? We knew it was gonna be physical. You know, you hear what's coming out of their locker room. You knew it was gonna be a more competitive game. The first game was physical. And so I don't know if we got sidetracked. I don't know if we were surprised that it was a physical game. I think where we got it all done tonight is that we're from a defensive standpoint, There's too many quality chances. There was too many backdoor tap ins. Backdoor plays where we could have done something better defensively, and our goaltenders really had no chance. While she turns lone bright spot came on its lone goal. Nicolas Backstrom registered career assist number 700 on his setup for Jacob Brana that makes back in the 54th player in NHL history to reach that milestone, but comes in a pretty bad loss there in Boston

"What is it's a choice to them when you don't give Tower one more year or you play hardball with him and you play Hardwell with Krug and you let them go. What does it say to them who just took less and money because you told that you bought them in with Thursday. We're going to do everything we can to be in Contender. If you take less money we can give money to somebody else. That's not the case. So now when Charlie comes back to the to the table and Brandon Carlo comes back. The table and you know David krejci becomes the table what happens then you know, so and you don't have a real backup plane. You better hope Jack's technique as a stunt. You know, you better hope birth of Jesus. I don't know John becher is I mean you what you have in the pipeline to you know, you you drafted free guys who aren't going to play for 4 years so I don't so what do you what are you doing? So I I agree it doesn't it doesn't mesh all together and it's in a scary to think that you had people take less money and then saw their teammates leave because you didn't pay them. So that's a slippery slope that's dangerous and you mentioned defense Heather in the next item of the agenda. The eject is how does the defense move forward? What's the what's it look like I'm going to give you my free pair right now. That's going to happen is my prediction. It's going to be Quizlet McEvoy. It's going to be job. For Brandon Carlo and it's going to be Jeremy. Lausanne Clinic Connor Clifton with the 7th guy being Kevin Miller. And if that doesn't make you horny, I can't help you poop. Salad. Are you go home is just there's your three pair and that's weak sauce. I don't know what thoughts on it. There are few things that make me less horny. Thought well, that's good. I guess I definitely put this is Alice away on that one big guy. You don't need it. I can't I don't know whether to laugh or cry or throw off. I agree with you on the lausanne and the Clifton thing. Okay. I think you have a mellow will be injured game too. So I'm not worried about someone call him first name is which is strong but so such a explanation again. I'm not making like this dude has been through hell and back he is a warrior and I will always give him that credit. I just don't want you all my defense. Yep. Are praying for someone to go on the 9th floor of that hard? I just I don't know. But yeah, I'm looking at this roster and we're going to talk about training camp roster and I'm like, I want to punch Don Sweeney in the face. We are one of the best, you know, even with our little defenseman or whatever..

Bruins Beat
Could this offseason be pivotal for Don Sweeney?
"Could be like if we want to go there this could be the second most pivotal offseason. Don Sweeney's tenure is Jim Morrison would be I mean, yeah, we obviously know what the the first one was some hits some misses I'll defend on Thursday and say people forget the meal music trade was was very solid but should it be his want this could be kind of the offseason wear off he shakes it up and there's been there's been little shit shaking in the Don Sweeney tenure really other than that 2015 offseason where he kind of came in and moved Hamilton moved Lucic got the Draft Picks 6 in the first two rounds. We all know the story there but dead. This could be like the next kind of version of that obviously not as big but like if you look at where the Bruins are, I mean what happens with Krug? What happens with Chara those to move up itself are pretty franchised altering. And then from there there's obviously been the the Rask rumors. I I wouldn't be surprised if something happened with Rask because we we should never be surprised by anything that happens with Rask anymore. And this point that's the case. This was like a weird enough year and obviously with it happened in the the postseason like There's so much uncertainty surrounding that player that that nothing that happens with him with surprise me. So yeah between Krug we think departing who knows what happens with Chara. I think the flu tone made a really great point that was sort of an obvious point that we've all been kind of sleeping on like it is possible that Chara reaches free agency and who knows if the Bruins have or anything with him maybe a team jumps in and they're like, hey, man, you're the missing piece like this is your what what we need and maybe yeah, maybe he just maybe he departs so possibilities are plentiful and I haven't even gotten to the Do they make like a real hockey trade? Do they trade Jake debrusk? They trade Brandon Carlo. My pie-in-the-sky thing that will never happen is like they find a way to make Carlos the centerpiece of a Patrick line a deal which financially and for other reasons just does not seem like something they would do but oh my God, I have been banging the table to get more scores on this team and if they found a way even if it's losing Carlo in an offseason where you also lose Krug, like imagine if I thought they had Patrick lyonnet David pastrnak and like imagine having three of the best goal scorers in the planet on your team
