"A._b. From toronto but also to have started stand up when the scene here for you know all halt or like queer comedy has really opened up in there a lot more queer faces and voices producing their own shows that i can kind of hop onto <hes> <hes> and then also like not to say that i'm exclusively doing queer shows but you also get to be the they're like. Hey <hes> gay people are funny to or you now now. There's all these other voices now being heard because of all these new rooms so we are all are hopping outside of the space to which is awesome very cool favorite comedians. I'm in the city specifically just in general. I'm gonna shout at the city specifically because we have some great one so there is <hes> shanty miranda who is <hes> openly trans and is the first trans <hes> sirius x._m. Top comic winner still currently raining <hes> who else are i love love <hes> ban sosa right as a new voice to see follow in love. I would also say <hes> brandon ash muhammad very funny comedian. <hes> meg mckay's very funny. There are so many i feel. I'm like under pressure now. I'm like sweating to oscar. Thank you speech unlike so sorry. I forgot anyone know <hes> there. Honestly there are so many amazing like olivia toddler alley peers like literally to look through my phone but there are so many everyone's so funny sweet. Do you have a favorite room to perform. There's this really amazing show at the gladstone. I think it's the first tuesday ah every month called working women and it's kind of like a queer feminist <hes> show that's really awesome and there's crimson wave <hes> comedy bar which is also the show. That's really cool there and <hes> yeah. There's a million there's and i have a show not to brag but it's <hes> apathy there or center in toronto and it's not any specific thing just really great comedians. That's it's a lot of fun. We're doing a festival there. There's like a show called. <hes> summer works so we're a part of it so august fifteenth a ten pm very very cool okay in comedy. I just love to laugh okay. Let's so down like friends of mine talked to me about it before they're like. What's your trauma like what drives you to like. Try and look at people have finding like i love to laugh and i want everyone to enjoy themselves of all the time because that is the trope right like all comedians are broken yeah exactly but don't get me wrong broken for sure but no trauma at the research ah that resulted in nebraska yeah right. That's nice. Are you born and raised in toronto. Yes okay and what's the what like you know. We've spent <hes> <hes> gotta like four years here in the city <hes> about that minimum minimum and <hes> and we come back. We visit quite a lot <hes> but how how has the the the l._g._b._t._q. Scene shifted over the last. I mean in ah in your lifetime like how has there been. Has there been a lot of like a lot of change. We just had a gay guest on just before you and <hes> and you know talking about his his upbringing his coming out story yeah john it really hard to come out and didn't feel like very supported <hes> do i. I've i always felt because i come from fucking lower sackville nova scotia right when i came to toronto. I was like look all these gay people. It's true volcano everywhere. This is amazing. You know like church and wellesley that ship blue those right by my mind again. I'm coming from like same with me. I've nowhere firm rural rhode island yeah yeah yeah no i know and i i feel like gays who come from smaller communities especially if they stick around for longer are are kind of like you can't miss them. Innocence like you have to be like almost radically gay to be like you don't have to call me like a faggot look at the way i'm dressed like it's very like there's no point in saying it like we know and i think that the city gets like that sometimes too like especially around pride. I was joking recently because the prayed was <hes> last last month and you know i i'm like gay people here all the time like when you walk down the street and there's no room to move especially on church you're like are all of these people here.
