New Chicago mayor pledges commitment to progressive strategy, asks for unity
"Brandon Johnson was sworn in as the mayor of Chicago. Johnson is the former organizer for the Chicago teachers union and former Cook County commissioner and has no experience within city government, Chicago has a higher per CAPiTA homicide rate than New York or Los Angeles. We don't want our story to be that Chicago beast came so traumatized by violence and despair that our residents felt no other choice but to leave. Johnson is asking chicagoans to set aside deep differences and confront challenges together. A safe Chicago means a safe Chicago for all. No matter what you look like, who you love or where you live. During his inaugural address, Johnson talked about the growing migrant crisis. We don't want our story to be told that we were unable to house the unhoused. Chicago is already struggling to provide shelter and other help to hundreds arriving from the southern border with family sleeping in police station lobbies. I'm Ed Donahue

Dr. Simone Gold and Brandon Straka Unpack the Trans Nightmare
"Doctor gold, you brought something up, which I think qualifies. So I've always been wondering, now that I'm sitting here with you, Eric, and you Brandon, the LGBTQ, et cetera, all the initials. XYZ, my name is lesion. The extensive, I believe, as a doctor that that movement was hijacked. By the whole transgender movement. And I'm just speaking as a physician, I'm very offended at the fact that doctors perform these very high risk surgeries, which have unbelievably high complication rates that in no other area of medicine would we be allowed to legally do. But they're doing them because they're called experimental. So as long as a person signs away, they can't really bring a malpractice suit against the practitioner. But they should be absolutely illegal. It's assault. It's terrible. But I'm just kind of wondering if you as a gay person, feel as though the LGBT movement was hijacked by the transgender movement. Yes. Short answer is yes, but it's also complicated because I think that there's an enormous amount of people now that are calling themselves transgender who are not even transgender. So it's a little bit complicated. I mean, so now there was a time when I was growing up where there were people who had gender reassignment surgery and they would say they felt like they were born in the wrong body and we called those people transgender. Now we're calling 14 year old girls with purple hair and nose ring trans because they say that they fall somewhere on a gender spectrum or they're neither male nor female. That to me is an absolute high jacking. And then the second part of it too is that the whole gay rights movement began with stonewall in 1969 and it was a group of mostly gay men who got tired of having the bar that they were going to being rated night after night by police. They were being beaten and finally one night they fought back. Well, now the sort of radical Marxist movement is saying, well, that didn't happen. It was actually black trans women who were fighting back against these officers at stonewall and that this history has been whitewashed. And it's not true. So yeah,

Why Do People on the Left Reject the Holocaust As a Moral Lesson?
"You know, I never do panels on this program, but they bullied me into doing one. I said it would never work. I was wrong. I love talking to doctor Simone gold and Brandon strock, who just happened to be here at the same time. But we have some things in common. Simone, you were just talking about the deeper principle behind standing up for you, it was the Holocaust. It was that that background Brandon for you was being bullied as a kid. And just seeing the injustice of it, feeling the injustice of it. But why do you suppose so many people on the left? I could say in the gay community in the Jewish community, don't make that connection. What does either of you think is at work there? Because you are both leaders in a sense in doing that. So Simone. I think there's a reluctance for parents to actually teach absolute moral truth to their children. We're all like, hey, whatever feels good, whatever is good. It's all very equal, co equal. People, for example, in I've got children in the children's school, they would call the teachers by the first name. And I was a huge advocate of trying to get rid of that. I said that that's a problem that the kids are thinking the teachers are equal. There is a certain kind of hierarchy that you have to teach children. Really honestly for them to go on to happy productive. Okay, now this is deep, right? Because we're normally given a choice between this kind of sloppy false egalitarianism, right? I would argue, as a Christian, a genuine egalitarianism comes out of the Bible. We're all equal in God's sight. He loves every one of us equally, period.

What Made Brandon Straka Stick His Neck Out?
"The same question to you, Brennan strock. What do you suppose it was in you that said, I'm going to stick my neck out there. I know I'm going to be vilified. But what was there a moment or how did that happen for you? Well, I think by nature, I am a rebellious person, and I'm comfortable being rebellious, it's like not wearing a tie right now, for example, super rebellious. What is wrong with you? Probably the most rebellious thing I've ever done. No, I think there's that. I'm comfortable not going along with the herd or the flow. But that stems from a place ultimately that I care about people. And I actually care about people individually and I care about the collective as well. As I have told you before, I mean, the whole reason why I wanted to speak out about insert walk away was because ultimately I realized I was being lied to and manipulated. I realized that black and brown and LGBT people and immigrants and all different kinds of people are being manipulated. And I realized that this division that exists in our culture doesn't have to exist. We're all being exploited. We're being used. We're being manipulated. I wanted to do something about it. So I mean, believe me at boomerangs, it's backfired in my face, numerous times. For people who haven't woken up yet, I'm extremely hated by black and brown and LGBT people who don't yet understand what I'm doing. But someday they will. And I think that it'll be appreciated that I spoke out at some point or so I hope. Or I'll be dead for one

Eric Brings Dr. Simone Gold and Brandon Straka Together
"I have the joy and the privilege of sitting with two friends to warriors for freedom, Brandon struck, and doctor Simone gold in the same room together. I've interviewed you separately, but I thought it'd be fun to have a few minutes to talk to the two of you together because you have some things in common, why don't we talk about those things? Let's do it. You ready? I'm ready. You ready? Mmm um. All right, what do you guys have in common? Fashion? There you go. That's good. We both get into a lot of trouble. Yes. Troublemakers. Right. Yeah. Well, seriously, what you have in common is pretty dramatic. Both of you have suffered at the hands of tyrannous elements within our own government, not that there's anything wrong with tyranny, who are we to judge. But you both have. And so I think it's what endears you both to me is that you've been willing to put yourselves out there in a way most people aren't. And so let me start with you, Simone. What is it in you that you think enabled you to be a voice to be a face in the midst of the madness when everybody's sitting back and thinking, I don't know what to do. You stepped up. What do you suppose it was in you that enabled you to do that? I think everybody faces those moments in their daily life. I don't think I'm unique in facing those challenges. So one day I was at work as an emergency physician and there was a patient in front of me who needed early treatment for COVID and the government said I couldn't do it and the hospital said I couldn't do it. And I remember thinking, well, that's nonsense. The person in front of me needed that. And I knew that I'd face repercussions for doing it. But it was not relevant to me in the moment of the question and the query from the person in front of me. Everything that has happened in the three years since it was April of 2020 has followed from that one decision. So I urge everyone that in their daily life, every day you have a crossroad, a decision to make every day you're going to do the right thing in the wrong thing

Exposed: Radical Left's Strategy to Destroy Conservatives
"Number 13 in the rules for radicals. Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it. And polarize it. Rule number 8, keep the pressure on rules for radicals. Is one of the many, let's just say pieces of literature that radical left wing activists considered to be their gospel, how they operate. It's more of the technical side than the philosophical side. The philosophical side we've gone through, but the technical side of how they operate can be best explained through rules for radicals, amongst many other pieces of literature. But I think this is really important. Pick the target freeze it personalize it and polarize it. That's what they're doing right now to clearance Thomas. They've done that Tucker Carlson. They've done that to James O'Keefe. They see the movement makers on the right. They see the people that are willing to be effective, courageous, bold. You notice that they don't go after John Roberts? You notice that? John Roberts is not a big point of controversy. I don't know about Neil Gorsuch. Yep, but clarence Thomas is number one. And let's just be honest. The reason why they hate clarence Thomas is the same reason why they refuse to put clarence Thomas in the black history museum brought to you by the Smithsonian right there in downtown D.C.. It's because they consider clarence Thomas to be a race trader. That's how big it did these people are. They consider clarence Thomas to be a traitor to the black race and its white liberals that largely believe this because they believe they can control black people the same way that Democrats control black people through poll taxes and segregation, which they're doing again. And also through slavery, they just control black people differently through government handouts and goodies and voting for the Democrat party while white liberals remain rich and powerful, blacks continue to line up to vote for the American Democrat party. The whole thing is a scam. Candace Owens, Brandon Tatum are doing a great job of exposing that scam.

New Walk Away Social App Takes on Facebook's Fascism
"To Brandon strock, walk away, campaign, Brandon, you're being sued in our two, I want to get into this with you. Really, really loony, insane stuff that folks, you can't miss it. You don't want to miss this. This is all on rumble in case you're lame radio station, only carries one hour of this program. And we spit on them. But I got to tell you, I want people to know how to reach you. So I want you to spend the next few minutes because there's a short segment before we get into all of the Looney Ness. How what you've created, this new social app. Sure. So as I was saying before, Facebook are walk away grew on Facebook to over 511,000 people sharing their stories, making videos, et cetera. And then we woke up and it was gone. The group has gone to content was gone. So I had a decision to make if I was going to try to move this movement onto other social platforms, which I didn't really want to do. Also, most of them don't have the capabilities to sort of function the way we need, like Twitter, true social don't have the mechanisms we need to make it work. So I built my own. It took a long two years working with developers, but I launched walk away social about a month ago. To be clear, we're not trying to be the next Facebook, Twitter, true social gather. This is not an open-source social media platform. What we do is we have people sign up, create a profile and once they create a profile, they join our groups. We have a testimonial group, a discussion group. We have state groups. It's actually quite amazing, and it functions very similarly to Facebook, but it's ours. We own it. And it's not as fascist as book. And it's not run by a creepy little martinet named, what is it? Zuckerberg? That's how our sponsor Mike lindell for first just Zuckerberg has suck a book. So how do people find this on they go onto the computers of their phone? Where do they go? So the walkway social app is available everywhere on the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. So if you're an Android user, you can go to your Google Play Store if you're an iPhone or iPad user, the Apple App Store, and we're also available on the web at walkaway social dot com for people who prefer to use browsers, computers. So it's everywhere.

Brandon Straka Shares an Update on His Walk Away Campaign
"Back, talking to Brandon strock, Brennan, how do you spell that STR AKA? I like the way you really punch it too. Struck. Brandon struck STR a KA. See, now you're starting to say struck the Peter struck. It's a struct. Struck. Yeah, you got it. Struck. You got it. All right, so you woke up to this nightmare that you had been lied to, you had believed, swallowed the lie, and now you're coming out in the other side of it. And like a lot of people, it makes you angry. Like, you feel like you've been abused and now you're aware of what's been going on. And you don't just want to change your point of view. You want to help others see that they've also been lied to. So you started walk away, walk away. Yeah, it's a betrayal. I mean, it's a deep, deep betrayal when you realize that the institutions and the people that you trusted not only are duplicitous and not actually meaning what they say and have your back. But in fact, they're manipulating you and exploiting you. And your fear. And when I started to see the way that they're manipulating minority communities, black people, brown people, LGBT people, immigrants, et cetera. That's when I really became, I think, enraged and wanted to do something about it because the division that we experienced in this country, all this fragmentation is stems directly back to the media. They're the ones who have caused all of this. So I wanted to create a movement of people to walk away from the political left, walk away from the Democratic Party, the liberal media, the ideology of liberalism, leftism, whatever you want to call it. And so I put out a 6 minute video in 2018, detailing all of the reasons why I was walking away from the left. And I created at the time a Facebook group called hashtag walk away campaign, encouraging other people to make testimonials, videos written testimonials and tell their stories. We grew over two and a half years to 5 over 511,000 people in the movement and thousands of videos and written testimonials. And then on January 8th of 2021, Facebook pulled the plug and deleted everything.

How Dark Forces Are Working Against America
"We are operating against dark forces. We understand that it's thrown and dominions and principalities. But they work through the Department of Justice, the news media. And we have to do our part. So Brandon, you and I wouldn't be doing everything we're doing individually if we didn't have hope. You have really just bravely resurfaced. You've created this new walk away social app. You're working hard to help this country find its feet again. And I just want to say thanks for that because some people just kind of wither away and say I've had enough. And you and I are hoping that what we do will make the other side say we've had enough. Well, I'm hoping to at least do everything I can possibly do to push back against the forces that are working against us. You made a comment earlier about Tucker Carlson and that this is a time that people need to find God or lean into God. And certainly I don't have any opposition to that, but what concerns me is that particularly particularly with conservatives, there tends to be this sort of like, well, I'll put my trust in God and then I don't have to do anything. Thank you for saying that. Yeah. I wrote a whole book, my most recent book is called letter to the American church, where I basically deal with that. I talk about that on this program all the time. If your faith is just faith without works without action, it is dead, God is not blessed by your fake faith by your cheap grace, the devil laughs in your face.

Brandon Straka of Walk Away Social Continues to Be Attacked
"Welcome back. I'm talking to Brandon struck, walk away social. I already got the app on my phone. Brandon, you know, I'm just so proud of you. This journey you've been on. It's magnificent and inspiring. I want to talk to you about what you just mentioned a moment ago. I mean, you continue to be attacked, and this is tough. This is tough. And that's why I say to people, folks, if you're not in the fight, you're letting people like Brandon take all the heat, which is wrong. It's a moral. So what else are you going through right now? Well, so here's what I would like to say. This is my hypothesis, my theory, and the whole thing. I believe that I was set up since day one. And I think that many people who got ensnared in this January 6th thing were set up. But if you're a normal person with a normal heart and a normal soul, you don't have the ability to predict what these people are doing in the ways in which they pervert and twist and contort the law and the system to work against you. Brandon Straka: Former Liberal's Journey to Understanding Trump
"I am really, really thrilled to have with me in the studio Brandon struck Brandon. I am just tickled that you are here. In the studio, some people know your story, some people don't. We've got a lot to kind of go into some new stuff in your life, but tell me, tell my audience who's not familiar with your story, the nutshell version of who is Brandon struck, what's the walk away campaign and so on? Sure. Brendan strock is somebody who was a lifelong liberal and Democrat two time Obama voter actually voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016, had a nervous breakdown when Donald Trump got elected, crying on Facebook, going crazy. And then went on a journey of research to understand how the media that I trusted, CNN, MSNBC, New York Times, et cetera, had gotten the election so wrong in 2016. I was all but promised and guaranteed that Hillary Clinton was going to win. And so I was confused and shocked and outraged, but also scared because I believed also the media narrative of what Donald Trump was. Like many of my friends and former friends still do. They believe you. They earnestly believe that stuff, which is why I feel obliged to give them grace. Because they really believe he's Hitler two. And we've got to do anything we can. And it is fascinating to sit here and to talk to somebody who was one of those people and who kind of amazingly went on a journey and found your way out of that. So that's a loan fascinating because how did that when you say you did that? I mean, did you know growing up that you were the kind of person that would do that kind of because most people just kind of go with the flow. The idea that you were so independent minded that you could be crushed by Hillary's defeat and then go on this exploration is investigation. Well, yeah, and that wasn't my intention. I mean, my certainly my intention was never to come to a point where I was okay with Donald Trump or his supporters or that I legitimately just wanted to understand it. I mean, my journey began with just a couple of questions. How did the media get it so wrong? And why would anybody vote for a man who was so terrible?

Brandon Straka Continues to Expose Lies About January 6th
"I are talking about your story. Now, I don't know where to start because you kind of told your story about waking up and you create this movement. This walk away movement now part of this culminates and we have talked about that in depth on this program of how you went to the capitol on January 6th as was your right as a citizen under the former United States of America. And the powers that be who are working for Satan since we don't have time to break it down. Put you through hell. Yeah. It's still going on. You told that story on this program in depth, where are we now? Sure. Yeah, so just to kind of refresh anyone's memory who doesn't know. One, I never entered the capitol on January 6th. So it's true. I was in D.C., I was a scheduled speaker on January 6th because there was supposed to be a second permitted event on lot 8 of the capital grounds. A march from the ellipse to the capitol where I'd be speaking. And as I was arriving on capitol grounds, I started hearing that people were going inside the building, which sounded curious to me. So I walked up to the east side steps, stood outside for 8 minutes and shot a video. And then I uploaded that video to Twitter. Never went inside. And during the course of that 8 minutes, a man came out of the capitol, got on a bullhorn and said, they've cleared Congress, everyone left the building, move out, move out, and I immediately turned around and moved out. Somebody told me they decapitated Nancy Pelosi. And I thought she doesn't have a head anyway. But seriously, the more you hear about what happened on January 6th, the more you feel, you've been lied to. And the powers that be in D.C., not just the Democrats. A lot of the rhino Republicans, which is most of them, they either push the lie or themselves earnestly believe these lies of an insurrection.

Eric Would Not Endorse Proposed Age Limit for US President
"Number one, would you, Eric metaxas, support a quickly ratified amendment to the U.S. Constitution at reads, no person shall be eligible to the office of president of the United States who shall attain to the age of 75 years during a full or partial term of service if it resulted in neither Joe Biden or Donald Trump being reelected in 2024. Absolutely not. I don't think age has anything to do with anything. I think first of all, I believe Donald Trump will be our next president. If the election isn't stolen as it was in 2020 by the guy pretending to be president, I won't mention his name. But listen, if you're a bumbling idiot at age 40 or age 76, it's really not relevant what age you are. If you are an anti American corrupt treasonous hack at 40 or at 76, that's to me the issue. The issue of age is such a non issue. This is where I disagree with our friend Steve dates. He's just wrong. It's got nothing to do with anything. I know people who are 90 who are sharper and brighter than any 50 year old, I know. This is completely irrelevant. If you're a buffoon and a hack and corrupt and shouldn't be president, that's got nothing to do with age. So the answer to that is a simple ixnay no, I would not.

Should the Movie 'Nefarious' Be Turned Into a Play?
"Question number two, here's the topic, nefarious. It's a movie, right? What if it were a play? A traveling play, Eric, let's combine your idea and mine. Yes, the movie nefarious should be a play. Only I have a different actor in mind for the play. That person would be max McLean. This would be a perfect production for the center for performing arts as a traveling show, max could pull it off as he was screw tape if you remember. I could try to pass this idea on to him, but he'd be more likely to listen to you or taxes. Thank you. Yes. Well, I have mentioned that I thought that the Steve dais film nefarious should be put on as a stage play. I mean, it almost reads like a stage play, even the film. It has that feeling. So I think it should be a stage play. I would not see my friend max McLean in the role of the demonically possessed. Criminal murderer just because screw tape is a very urbane C. S. Lewis kind of demonic compared to the raw horror of the character played in nefarious. So maybe max would want to do that and could do that. But I wouldn't see that. I would see my friend Brad Stein. I actually mentioned this on the air, I think, the other day. Yeah, you did, yeah. Brad Stein or someone who can really, really play a dark, twisted, disturbed character, because that's who Brad really is. I wish I had lunch with him. That's who he is 24/7. Brad Stein, the comedian is a genius who I think could pull that off. Yeah. And I would say they ought to make it a stage play. This is more addictive. And and and the the measurements of fenton. That will kill you. A a match fencing. All will kill you a match it. A pin head of carpet will kill you. A pinhead. Now is a difference. You know car fan knows what they used to anesthetize. A big game like elephants and rhinos not much marketable stuff for it here but fenton is here and finals coming over by the boatload from china and i hate that sounded like the hills isn't oh well guess what happens they have pill processes and what they're doing is they're they're selling Zanex putting federal in the pill press and giving it out in the street and so what happens. Is you think you're taking his annex when reality you're taking fen off and you're dead you're dead if there is a match offense in that and what they're doing is they're making the entire thing at of world you're dead now. I'm not trying to scare people. You can't scare addicts. I'm trying to enlighten educate them. It's dangerous out there. You know like i said it's not a table. Contents on you know is not a table contents. You have absolutely no idea what you're getting when you when you purchase this stuff. Works abegg of anything. Anything could possibly will have gotten all at it. So you're saying anything on the streets. Anything like yeah. You're not buying it from a doctor per se. You could be right if you're not being prescribed doctor that you go to. Cvs pick it up from there. You're literally taking the revolver spinning the chamber and putting a to your head. Anything can happen here that that twenty six year old kid that i had never did an opiate. "At every time. You went to that restaurant taiwan that and then then you love one says hey listen. Let's go to that restaurant we used to go to. That's a compromising position compromising situation because it's going to put you in danger. It's gonna trigger these little things in your head called cravings and it's going to put you in a position of a danger so what a loved one should do is not put them in that situation. I mean eventually yes. You can go back to that the that restaurant eventually. Yes you can do everything that used to do but to be put in that position at the at the beginnings of your treatment at the beginnings of your recovery is is is so so dangerous and demoralizing. Because what happens is the wife. Can't i go where everybody else goes. Well why can't i go back to my favorite restaurant. I won't drink. Guess what that's not. What happens the lou. Little man inside of us goes they got you know Devil on one side and angel on the other little devil goes room while you what we could have like a near beer. You know by the way when they put alcohol free on on on the beater like oh duels. There is alcohol right it just below the legal limit but there is alcohol right so you know. We'll go we'll why can't i be like everyone else. Guess what you're not like everyone else. You have a brain disorder called addiction and you can't be like everyone else. It would be akin to a person with diabetes go. Why can't i cake like everyone else is on how to do it brandon. Exactly how want you wine like that. But i do go back to the moment where i was sitting at the table and i was really uncomfortable and nervous. Energy was just going and going at it. Couldn't stop like. I was just sitting there and i you know i wasn't tempted in drinking a beer but it was in the back of my brain if i went down this road. Maybe i could have a beer right. Well you know. Yeah and these are the things that we have to be critically in tune to. You know who knows brandon better than brandon knowing you know yourself you know what positions a good few positions that are bad for you so so you have to set ground rules. You have to be able to set a newer today. Listen carefully. It's called the boundary boundary with them God really. You know that that. That's a catchphrase that they use in the meetings in other words go like this. This ready shut the f up because really because you know guys like me when we first came in you know we didn't know anything about getting clean and sober. We had to learn how to be clean and sober. And i believe you do that. Through twelve step recovery. And you do that through therapy whether you gotta go into a treatment center or yet to see a therapist like me you know. You need the assistance you know. If you could conquer yourself brandon you would have done it on a long time ago but you know so you need the help of others for me and i just recently understand going back to the relapsing as a as an active at. I'm sorry as like a person in addiction. Trying to get you know getting cleaned the halt has come into place a lot like and so sometimes when you're hungry angry lonely tired that that can put my head in like a crazy spin space. And how does that happen like how does that. Even it's you know it really is remarkable again another catchphrase halt hungry angry. Lonely tired all right. That's what hold stands for. But i don't know about you being half tien if i'm hungry. I'm grouchy if i'm angry. I'm probably hungry lonely. This is a lonely disease. This disease likes to stay in the dark and likes to creep up on you. And if i'm tired i'm also angry and lonely on all those things so you have to worry and be wary of that hungry angry lonely and tired especially in early recovery in all you need to realize that about yourself if you're hungry eat something if you're angry down Friend speak to your therapist..

That's out there for us right now today on the show. We have ernie richardson. He is a licensed addiction therapist in the state of florida. Welcome to the show. Ernie thanks so much brandon as usual. Thanks for having me. So i guess today we're gonna talk bout a relapse and that kind of stuff so let's start off with a question. What tends to be the behaviors for people that are before they go through relapse. Okay well the standard line is that relapse happens. Way before ingestion of the substance or that behavior so The of it is the actual ingestion of the substance or the behavior. But you'll see people's behavior start to change. You'll see the not acting the way they act in a normal sober way You'll see them cut back on meetings. You'll see them Not have the involvement. They used to have But it doesn't have to be twelve stepped base somebody indications are this sleeping alive. They're angry ally You know just behaviors that are counter intuitive to what they usually present as a clean and sober man or woman. So when you're talking about like behaviors like sleeping a lot. How how would you know that. Somebody just not naturally tired or or if they're actually added sleeping at six o'clock at naturally tired you know. Everyone needs a nap. Now dan you know maps good but on a consistent basis if somebody is missing appointments or Missing work just again normal things level or who knows the loved one as well as as as you do. No one does so you know what normal behavior is brandon. You abnormal behavior is so you know you start looking for little little indicators like that and again on jumped down the first conclusion like oh they slept in today must be using..

You know. I think the one thing was when jfk was supposedly like supposed to come out at the at the allow. Yeah i that's where it kind of went a little off. It's hard going back into recovery. Right it just came back. And they say they say that a head full of a and a belly full beard work it ruins your your usage. You know whether you're an na or a because once you have the knowledge that this works once you have the knowledge that this works. There's no turning back. There's no turning back. You may be in certain levels of denial but twelve step recovery works. Therapy works when you put the two of them together. They work better so you know i. Unfortunately i currently working at an agency that supports the twelfth philosophy so tune with not only my clinical abilities but my personal abilities as well because Even after all these years i still my hong group.
