I think he's definitely worthwhile keeping He's one of the players. When i was drafting this year i looked at as being a free square that had tremendous upside if if One of the two guys go down. the great offense stafford is there. He's a definitely a huge upgrade over. Goff so i was really targeting Jefferson at the end of the end of the draft for sure for them..

That's not going to really get it done He just had eighty seven passing yards last week. So it is a work in progress to say. The least brandin cooks managed manages to still make place for this team. But i mean they got absolutely smoked last week. Forty to nothing by the bills. And it's obviously like you said with bill belichick on the other side and a rookie quarterback at the helm. "So that's going to help najji harris get targets. It's clearly an implemented part of their offense whereas gibson. I'll say it again. Zero third downs played last week. He actually started the year playing some third downs. And getting some work in in the past in passing situations and It's it seems to be dissipating form. It makes me nervous. And it's all his offensive line. Is that much better than the nargis brandin cooks as a top eight wide receiver. What would you trade brandin cooks for. If you were going to sell allen robinson think you can get more than robinson for cooks at this point but you would rather have robinson i would. It's you know if you look at their careers. i mean. they both very accomplished careers. They both been top fifteen ish wide receivers robinson a little bit better. They're both on bad offenses but cooks might have a bigger target. Share than our rob. Maybe we just discounted cooks too much. What's different about him than robinson. Just just you think at the end of the day. More targets robinson. I think there's a better i i know. It hasn't been the case so far. I think that robinson will have better quarterback play for the rest of the season than brennan cooks. Okay you know why that might be the case. What happens of cooks gets traded. The we we talked about that a lot. I didn't realize somebody tweeted to me. I do not believe brandin cooks will accept the trade. He said back in january that he didn't wanna get traded because he wanted to spend time this off season working with shawn watson in. Houston i but i think he reiterated that after after the whole watson he did. I didn't. I didn't read that if he did. But push comes to shove if he's on a team that's going nowhere. He wants to stay there. Catching passes from tyrod and davis. The i think the thing was he was tired of people determining when he was going to move and where he was going to live and he wanted to make that choice for himself. He did not enjoy the process of being traded three times in four years. I didn't know he had a no trade clause in his contract. Think he does. I think he just said he's not going to play a trade forum. I don't buy it at all. Be a break. It'll be like one in five. I don't even know where the trade that line is. Why would he want to get traded. Come on now journey that he will get traded. It's just something that'll be out there. There are going to be teams that are going to look for receiver help at the deadline. This to someone who houston's definitely open for business they will trade anybody they possibly cast really really quick adam but it's not a football thing. He's a human being you. Would if you had to move across the country four times in five years. But he's a competitor. I think at the end of the day if he gets the chance to go to a super bowl contender he he might. "I understand that. But i thought it would. There's still limitations to what someone can do with with a quarterback. I just don't see davis mills having a great three game stretch or two more games. Whatever it's going to be with taylor especially with buffalo great game last night and i know. But that's that's when. That's when. I would say i don't buy that could happen again. Where he's going to get sixty six percent of the teams receiving yards especially with buffalo. New england is the next two games. Well i think the bigger question is can you keep up this type of target share where he's got. Eleven of two thousand eight throws going his way. That's probably also not very sustainable. That's almost forty percent of the target chair but he still going to get a lot of target at minimum eight targets from game. Is that stinks. I'm just saying right. You try to turn them into. Sue has a bad. Yes absolutely shopping him. There's no reason to not shop him at this point because this is not sustainable but i mean like five. Eighty is probably something that he can still do based on the amount of targets. He's gonna get so he's not gonna completely fall off the face of the you know. This isn't give him away or whatever. I think conservatively even twelve. And you only have to average like three yards of carey which is like what is with averaging. It's not going to be pretty but i. He gets the thirty three and a half pretty easily. I mean i think we need to relax about the panthers defense so especially in this spot. And i'm gonna stack davis mills with brandin cooks over sixty eight and a half. Yeah receiving yards Brandin cooks just gets doesn't matter targets doesn't matter it was quarterback is and yeah. That was my other note. The narrowest of target distribution down there in houston They don't have a lot of options. Sprain and cooks is the option. We joked about it. But i ended up with a lot of brandin cooks and best ball seven so if this can keep going i find it remarkable. How open he can get on a team. That doesn't really have anything else. And everyone knows. He's the main target. Yeah if i was a defensive coordinator applying the texans ago. You were guarding brandin. Cooks any other question. What about philip. Linzie yeah no. Hooper five receptions forty yards. I think he's a guy that you know. He's going to get a decent amount of targets. And i think if you're desperate at the tight ends bodies definitely somebody you can pick up and start. I think because he does get a decent mandatory gets. But i think pittman is probably like i said i think he could be a strong flex play You know him when seem to have a good connection and paschal he's at he's at three touchdown so far this season so i think really. Those are the two top wide receivers on the colts. Now without ty l. bi. A little worried about the running. Game jonathon taylor really has not lived up to his expectations yet. Then people who are spending significant parts of their budget on mark ingram at like. I want nothing to do with it like i talked about kenny game earlier. I'd rather have kenny game. Well my team the marketing the texans are going to stick they. They ran into a great match up in week. One against jackson bill They were able to play from ahead at the start of that game. I'm honest with ross. Tyrod taylor by the way is a stream worthy quarterback. There's no doubt about it. Not a great match. Up against cleveland though. Oh and by the way Yeah i think he's more of a superfly sky. Brandin cooks is the only texan. I'm interested in reevaluated. It they come out and do something impressive against the browns but brandin cooks with the only texan. I'm interested in for what about the browns. So nick stoves now outscored kareem hunt ten of his last fourteen games. Nick tub is a superstar This guy the i watch guy and i feel like he's the best running back in football This is a great nick job week. The browns to touchdown favorites at home. I mean nick job in the argument to be the number one overall running back on the slate i mean. It's very hard not threat christian. Mccaffrey there but nick. Saban the argument to be the number one overall running back on the slate. What's going on with odell beckham He didn't he wasn't active in week. They could get to a point where they're willing to give him seventeen to twenty twenty touches per game. I've liked these guys all along. I mean i think they're rushing. Offense is so good that they could both finishes top fifteen fantasy backs. So i mean i'm even willing to draft on the same team. I know that that's often frowned upon. What in a situation like this. Where they get a five hundred rushing attempts trae lance gets in there like all of a sudden gaps are gonna open the the seas are gonna part and these guys are gonna rip off big runs and i think the most serious the lightning to the thunder of trace arm speaking of preseason usage running backs. We've got the i look at the jaguars backfield without travis in week. Three james robinson startling got the first ten snaps then. Carlos hyde comes in and get seven snaps. You have james james roberson forty seventh overall. I've talked about this on the monday. Pot a little bit. I like james robinson. He's clearly better in the past game. Then carlos carl's tide is very clearly urban meyer and darryl battles boy like very very very clearly but james robinson you know. I thought he was good last year. Not great there was so much of his value was just roll volume and he was getting one hundred percent of the running back touches in a lot of games for the jaguars. That's just not going to happen this year period but you can still get him probably in the third or fourth round. You have him forty seventh overall right now. So what do you think about. James robinson in the wake of this travis. Itn injury and how it settled after the preseason game yeah forty seven th overall is what like a fringe fourth fifth round pick. I've got him in there. Like with mike davis and gus edwards. And i think that that's pretty much where he belongs he. He has more receiving upside than gus edwards albeit in a a worse situation and then i think mike davis situation is better and mike davis has more Receiving upside than james robinson. And certainly gus edwards so. This is kind of like the the little tear that these guys are in anaheim. I i think that i i like them. I think that they you know. I think gusts edwards. Who's at the bottom of that list from me. That three men less is going to go The earliest in drafts and probably is probably the most overvalued. Just structurally for me. I don't often take running back there in that spot. You know typically taking wide receiver. Or i'm taking cow pits were. I'm taking you know a quarterback Like i so rarely taking running back there so just is what it is. I don't know if anybody cares about the texans wide receivers but for what it's worth brandin cooks and nico collins look like they'll be the every down in wide receiver sets but man. They played their starters in that third. Preseason game and i mean it was ugly man. I think you do have niko collins in the top fifty relevant. Now hundred fiftieth overall. Brennan cooks up at seventy. First of. i'm even scared about brandin. Cooks men like i'm worried. This dolphins just going to be so so so so bad so but people probably know a lot about nico collins. And i think he's maybe an interesting fire. At least the opportunity costs on nego. Cons is like totally free. Where you out with the texans wide receivers. I mean with brandin cooks. You're going to have to live with some some bag games. In all likelihood i mean. I do think he's going to be able to produce some spikes. He's got big playability. They're going to have to throw the ball to stay competitive The worry about as like them averaging fourteen points per game even if that like they are so i mean there is a there are thirty one teams and there's a gap and then there's the taxes i mean. I think the patriots feast on the texans here. So yeah unfavorable. If watson doesn't play middle of the road if he does play so moving onto the next magic week six. The texans take on the indianapolis colts. And i think regardless. I think it's unfair will match up. I think the colts have a really good defense. And i just think that the texans even with the shawn watson are going to have a problem in this match So yeah. I would say it's unfavorable here and again i just. I don't know who the quarterbacks gonna be regardless of food is. I just don't think they're going to generate a lot of points and i just you know. Jj watt. i still think that it's gonna be a defense at teams will be able to move the ball. Against and i definitely think to shawn watson will be able to move the ball against his defense. I do think that guys like brandin cooks and cutie. And anthony miller or whoever really is like the big three at the wide receiver spots and do well here and you know what if one of the running backs takes over. I think lindsay can have a good game here. I'm just going to be on the assumption. That lindsay is really going to be that lead running back And also david johnson is going up against his former team and the hopkins is going up against his former team. I forgot about that. I can just see right now But yeah a lot of former players going against former teams in this game But yeah if watson plays favorable matchup watson doesn't play on fear will match up here But i you know what. I expect the texans in this game. If watson doesn't play they rely upon the running game in this game so maybe the running game find success in this game by yeah again. If if watson doesn't play it's kind of a middle of the road unfavorable. But i don't think it's going to be defense. That's going to suffocate opposing offenses. So moving on to the next match up on this schedule for the texans. Doesn't play You know it's gonna be the second time these two teams meet that shawn watson will not be playing in this game But if he does why then goes so be a struggle. Because the rams defense is really good and i i just feel like the texans are just again not a good team I think the running game will struggle here because they've got to go up against aaron donald and that defensive front so i mean it's really unfavorable regardless i mean if the shawn watson doesn't play this team is getting killed in this game so i really do not expect anybody to do well from the texans in this game and brandin cooks. He's going against former team. If if using trade at that point or something like that If he's on the teams and we going up against his former team and he'll be going up against jalen ramsey most likely so that should be interesting match up but again if you got. If you don't have to sean watch football. I mean. I just really do not expect the texans offense to be good. I'm gonna keep on saying it so moving onto week nine. The texans go to miami to take on the dolphins now. The dolphins are one team that has been linked to shawn watson through this whole fiasco. So it'll be interesting to see the shawn watson maybe finds his way out of houston and ends up on miami. But i i don't think so so i do think that it's again unfavorable match up again because because i mean you know. Miami's defense is good. And i just think if watson doesn't play it's just going to be a long day for that houston offense so I again. I think maybe the running game does a little bit. And i definitely think you know carson wentz is going to you know. Use him and have him as a target along with ty hilton When i think michael pittman he could be a guy that could be flex option. You know maybe even wide receiver to on your team you know. I definitely think he'd go a little bit sooner. But i don't know. I just feel like you know this. Is you know where. I put him and you know again. The mock draft is not perfect. I i don't think it is perfect by any means but you know this is where i put him i do think that carson wentz i it's going to he's going to help carson wentz out. He's definitely going to help them out. And yeah he's a guy that you know is looking to make a jump in year two so then after him. I have the wide receiver for the houston. Texans believe it or not brandin cooks now. I feel like brandin cooks. You know. I think he could do all right. I mean he's definitely probably the best fantasy option on houston right now. I mean. I don't know i really don't know what his contract situation is. And stuff like that. But i do believe that someone could swoop in i if houston is gonna do bad this year which i think they. Will you know someone could swoop in and get brandin cooks in charge to trade for him. And i think brandon cooks got traded to a contender. You know that definitely would be something that. I would keep in mind because i don't think houston's contending for anything this year other than maybe like the number one overall pick or a top five pick in so. I think that have cooks got traded to a contender that definitely would increase his fantasy value. And i think maybe that's something that some people got. Keep in mind that something. I thought he was done with all the off the field stuff and just him being so disgusted with what the texans have done over the course of the past couple seasons now that he's supposedly going to training camp and he may be starting quarterback this year. I mean that changes a lot because he is arguably a top three quarterback in the league and if he does play this year he's gonna put a really big numbers and he increases the draft stock for guys like brandin cooks and the texans just traded for anthony miller who played previously played for the bears wide receiver. Got him got randall. Cobb you have kiki cutie. You have these guys. And then you have. That loaded backfield with philip lindsay. David johnson mark ingram. So if the shawn watson comes in and is quarterback this year texans. Offense is going to put up points one hundred percent. They were a hundred percent to put up points. They're not they're still not going to be a very good team but they are definitely going to put up points now again. This is this is a little bit of an overreaction because you know it just came out he you know and i can't. I can't even believe that. There's a possibility that shawn watson can play. 'cause i really to be honest with all the off the field stuff and everything like that. I did not think there was a chance that he was going to play this year. And now he's possibly going to be playing this year and well they will not even that but he's going to be showing up to training camp so that's just a small step in to you. Know him possibly playing. Everybody that's on the texans offense Now by that much. I think really the best guy to take brandin cooks. Brandin cooks really did have a good season last year for houston at now. They will fuller so brandon cups. Brennan cooks as the first is the number one option now for this team and you know producer shawn watson does come back and play. He's going to be really good With the shawn watson but you know as the running backs it's just it that that's still a clustered backfield. I mean you probably still stay away from that but you know. We'll see what happens with that. Also some other small stuff now so dede westbrook the wide receiver for the jaguars will now not with jaguars anymore. He signed with the vikings. So that kinda gives the vikings a third wide receiver. So now i was talking about. How irv smith junior. He's gonna kinda jump up and be that number three option. I still think he probably can be in. "I sit out the way New Orleans versus Las Vegas raters. We saw New Orleans showcase really really solid, really great defensive performance against Tom. It's very possible that New Orleans doesn't look as Resi as they did against a really solid defensive front in Tampa. They don't they had an injury to majority of their wide receivers in the last game. So Dan, Waller seems to be their only solid option. At the receiving side of things that might mean there in Waller's uptick in target's share and my means, he gets an ends on this year or this week maybe something good happens for him I'm buying all the stock now I'm Kamara right now for this game, this should be Alvin Kamara.
