"The game. That's what stands out so remarkable to make Brady Quinn here on the program. Brady underscore Quinn on Twitter. Brady, is it Is it too soon? To make because of everything you just walked us through, and the fact that New England for whatever reason, wasn't able to keep that relationship intact. Is it too soon to reevaluate in any way Bill Belichick in the light of Tom Brady and the Bucks and simple Look Bill Bella Jack. It's still unbelievable, Coach. You know the record they have this year through covert, with all their opt out that everything else I've been considering look of the Buffalo Bills have caught up there. There's the more talented Ross is a good football team. Josh out, develop. Determined and Gable was the crazy They've all done a tremendous job. You gotta give them credit. But still a lot of other coaches. Coaches would have a hard time. You know when it going seven and nine with that roster on so early indication, Yeah, you know that. Does that seem a playoff team of Brady's there? I tend to think so. But I don't know how far they're going. Where girls of it Pretty pretty. Is there or not, You know, we saw that story last year. So you know, is a little bit of a knock in the short served to his. You know what he means for the top Brady Bill Belichick era of success? Sure, I think Braves won the first round. And ultimately with this, and he wins another one. You know, that continues to keep making a case for that. But it doesn't mean that Bill Belichick not one of the greatest coaches of all time. Brady Quinn here on the show. Brady. You're also a former chief. In fact, I didn't realize the timing of this. We both lived in Kansas City at the same time in that what I think of 2012 season. Does that give you a rooting interest in this thing? Or do you feel do you feel detached from it at this point in your career, just in terms of your emotional investment in simple 55? Um, Now look, I I look at it like I like my job requires me to try to be objective with it. I just think when you look at what the chiefs have done Um you know, all you know, partisan before bias aside it really You have to go back to the 72 $73. But that was looking at this the other day. So if you exclude the week 17 game whether didn't play their starters, and you just look at the other 26 games, they played their 25 1. Okay, over the course of This year and getting back to last year. And you got to go back to the seventh. Two dolphins that wanted to feed. It won the Super Bowl that year than into 73. Okay when they had that sort of running street What they're doing is historic. It's something that we don't see come along very often. And you could really make the case bill that go back to the homes first year starting full time. If that for a coin toss We're talking about back to back to back Super Bowl appearances, one of which I tend to believe whether it was New England or can't city they both would have beat that Ramstein. So What they've got set up right now. The short term you're going to hear the word I think after they win this Super Bowl, you know, kind of start to be in that conversation of dynasty, but It's the combination of the brilliance of Andy Reid and Eric the enemy, their staff Mahomes, his ability. What's really the speed in the peace of what they have got around him? It is you've got to haul of fame players, in my opinion, and Hill and Kelsey's growing too. Then other guys, you point nice compliments, but they are You know to the point where it would certainly be, you know, feel like unstoppable and I don't know what it's never going to slow down. Usually defense, the just We haven't seen that really over the past three years with patches where home was a quarterback, Waseem team slow them down. Not be able to stop it not have answers for what this team's been able to do. And Brady had such a great point. That if if, if the coin flip in overtime against the Patriots at Arrowhead goes the cheese way, you're right. They mean, you know Mahomes doesn't bring it up doing. It just leads them down Scores. A touchdown goes to the bull. Beats the ram. So all of that said if you're the bucks specifically that group of guys that that personnel that scheme. What what? What's the plan? What are you trying to do against that chief's office. Well, you have to go back to really the only instance we have right. There were 14 to this year. The week 17 lost so that out the window, the Chargers, you know, consider that and play their starters. So the really really lost you can look to is the Las Vegas Raiders. I think there's a lot you could take from that lot. Where you know they were in Arrowhead. They weren't scared of of this chief's office job. Drew Derek Carr said. We're gonna air this thing out and we're going to go like the heavyweight, you know, you know, boxing match go blow for blow with these guys. And they threw the football downfield. They weren't conservative. I saw. I think whether it's your third down, play calling forth that we're deciding whether to go or not, or being around the goal line in the red Zone, what you choose to do. Sports Field Goals. First Touchdown. You've got to keep your foot on the accelerator. You cannot afford to say we're going to settle for a field goal here. Oh, we're around midfield. We're gonna go up the ball away and play the field position game. Aziz. Good is the Bucks defense can be And you know, I do think they really helped The Bucks win the NFC champs ship in the second half last week. I just don't foresee their personnel being able to match up with Hill, who had a huge game. The last time these two teams played and dealing with the pressure as much as they like to do when passable homes that she's you know, offense will get you No, It's not a great matchup that really been requires Tom Brady to be Tom Brady and he's got to be special. They're gonna have to take their shot and hope that they can get Patrick Holmes on an off day and get some turnovers and some additional possession. Brady Quinn here on the show Brady in your media career, man, you are getting MBA. You cover college football and the NFL..

"To stop alabama's passing inside. I remem. I remind people a lot of times that use same bolt might be the fastest man in the history of mankind but didn't have top end speed for the for sixty yards for sixty meters devante smith. Devante smith would probably be using bolt in sixty yard dash in my opinion like the ability to get to a top end speed because bolt once. He got to sixty. If you weren't ahead of him then you weren't going to beat him. And i know that that's joey galloway ohio state. There are certain guys who have top end speed like tyreek hill tyreek hill to me. If he's with you saying bolt would beat him for the first sixty meters. He wouldn't beat him for one hundred but he beating for sixty there these receivers who get. You're looking at me like i'm crazy. You sit you say bull who maybe the fastest you being my lifetime of. I don't know if i'm going to side with that. i understand. He's a taller longer. Strider waddell for example. One of the reasons why. He's a better prospect if you will because he gets zero to one hundred how. 'bout this devante smith is a better receiver than you same bolt. Would you agree with me on this. But you've been around guys who have great speed but there guys who have quick like they get to their top gear quicker than the other guy does demonte smith. That's the difference when he gets it out on the side and you go okay. You got him and then he has that next gear. That very few players have in all all the sports well. And that's why. I'm always wondering especially like sean. Wait for example. Who's the best cornerback at ohio state. And you'd see them this much of the semi final game and they've got a limited. How much press man to man coverage they play. But usually when you've got a guy who's like a longer shutter like you're talking about and doesn't get zero to one hundred in a few steps you'd like to get some hands. On the line of scrimmage disrupt the timing and see if you can stop them before you ever get started right and you don't see that quite as much think you can go back to the semi final game. Watch them that's eight. You'll see the play eight yards off and willing to concede some of those passes in as long as they don't give up a big play. I don't know that's a recipe for success versus alabama devante sniff because once he gets going it's not only the fact that he's got that second gear he's so smooth in and out of his cuts when he wants to set up a double move he could really sell it because of the way he's able to cut while still having that long stride that gay but then get back up to full speed ticket in that second year is you're talking about did ohio state on for your scholarship. They did okay. Yeah but why. Japan's jeez there's a number of reasons i thought notre dame and michigan was other school i was looking at notre dame was the best fit for me one thing that always kind of leader in the back of my mind in looking at all three schools. Was you know who was the best. Nfl quarterback to have come from each school and obviously michigan's got a rich history arguably the greatest of all time and tom brady. And there's a lot of others. Notre dame throw that in the category. With with joe montana thighs men admire and so many others ohio state. I would probably say archly sir. I mean i'm not sure who else you throw into that category but that was something that was always going on in the back of my mind outside of the fact that it was a smaller school academically fit more what i was looking to get out of the education taken. The heat though brady coming from columbus ohio going to michigan boesch index. Asked me that question. I was with my dad on a recruiting visit. And the first thing he said when i think it was one of 'em tom herman. With a linebacker coach era cruiser. He introduced my father. And i and he said that he was from columbus ohio. And he's looking at coming to michigan. And boche. Becker looks at me. And says you. Ready to go in there and the kick those buckeyes. Ask dad my dad was doing. He was like you're going to michigan. Let's offer a second. So that was one of the core stores moments. I got the sheriff my dad along those recruiting visits but notre dame gave nicer car. So you ended up at south bend. I wish that was the case. You know you hear about that stuff all the time did you. Were you offered in. Let me take away any school news. Yeah what was the best thing you were offered. I wasn't i wasn't offered anything. I don't know that. I looked like the type of guy back and based on my family a hardworking working middle class and like i don't know if they're walking into our household and say. Hey what are you need. And plus like my parents would have never accepted that. I was about a job throughout the course of my time. Notre dame i walk worked at the centre. There are on campus and the the of news and information in the gold dome just to have a little extra grocery money gas money and just a little money to get around. I used to take the linemen italian restaurant that an all you can eat buffet on the south side of town and i think it was eight bucks a pop and we basically on thursday nights. With Injury, Justin Fields Is Taking a Big Risk for Ohio State

"Tonight's national title. Game will come down to well. It's gonna come down to whether or not ohio state can limit the amount of big plays this alabama offense can create and we saw that throughout the course of the season but in particular in the semi final game bruce myeloma mater and the flip side. I think justin feels half the has to have a similar game so what he had in the semi final game which was his best game as a college quarterback so if he can so again blow for blow like i mentioned earlier in the nfl games but if he can do that. I this alabama offense. I think they stand a chance but the biggest question mark right now. Dan is how big an impact kobe. We'll have potentially on the delighted. How healthy justin fields is going to be with that rib injury that he's dealing with.

"Would you don't have the ability to have that twelve men in the crowd? Compare and contrast trevor. Lawrence, and Justin Fields. Well I'd say this I mean Trevor Lawrence. has already kind of you know as Equity Building and considering what he's already done in his career That I have any questions about that young man's ability to throw from the pocket his what his toughness is football Iq. If you will from everything we've seen I just have any questions like there's really He can't really go much higher in my mind and and he really can't go much lower to be quite honest with you with. Justin. Feels that I think it's the it's the opposite where he got better as last year went on especially from the pocket and that's some of civil what you WANNA. See some of what I would like to see from him though is running a little bit more. You know that's one of his skill sets that utilize a lot last year because they were worried about what was behind him if he got hurt he ran too much. Now, GonNa hope their back up. He's got a little more experience. So he can come in and spot work and they've got to really touted freshman. who are behind them, Stroud Mills both Kinda waiting in the wings. So little bit different scenarios I think makes him run a little bit more early and often this year for Ohio state, and that's one of the things that I'm curious to see how dynamic he can be as a runner. That's something that Collagen obviously the NFL level now, you gotta be able to do. The heisman does it feel like it's a lifetime achievement award for Trevor Lawrence. But you've seen other years where guys wanted it kind of like that I mean, let's be honest. It's usually going to the best player on the best team I mean that's the reality of the award. And I think there are certain years where you know maybe you don't have one dominant team. and you've got a player who put up a lot of great stats and he's been good throughout the course of his career and he ends up winning it and look I I don't thirty names out there because I think when you do that then people think it's like a disc to them. But in all reality, you know he's he's got himself to kind of be in that heisman conversation. Every year. So there's there's a lot of respect for that but I think it would be if he was if he was going to win it this year, it kind of would be, but he's also earned two degrees played really really well, this year he didn't get off the slow start last year Daniel Jones said the mishap last night. What's the most embarrassing moment you had on the football field? Oh Man. I would say. I was rolling out to my left. This is. Two Thousand and nine first game of the year for the Cleveland Browns. Was Rolling out to my left and I literally as kind of scrambling and flush out of pocket. I go to like separate my hands through the football and literally the ball just Kinda came out the back is starting to bring the ball to throw just slipped out of my hand. And I can't remember if we got the fumble back or not I remember trying to and all that..

"Least want to have? Mark Sanchez, but fumbled Daniel Jones last night falling down or Dan Orlovsky running out the back of the end zone. But fumbled runs away with sixty eight percent. Yeah. Because at least annual Jones showed athleticism for seventy yards. Last night. What happened with Mark Sanchez in a game where they were blown out in our lobsters playing for a winless Detroit Lions Team Daniel Jones now has thirty four career turnovers. That's the most for an active. Through his first. Twenty. Games. Now the previous record was held by Gino. Smith. WHO had thirty two? But this is an ongoing theme with Daniel Jones, and if it continues to be an ongoing theme with Daniel Jones Daniel, Jones won't be the starting quarterback for the giants after this season. Because if the giants continue to be this bad, they might be in the market. This is how long it takes or how short it takes for you to make a decision on your quarterback you basically have a two year window. To find out if you have a quarterback or prove yourself as a quarterback, that's when you get a chance to play. That's why the Miami Dolphins are going with to. They WanNa know right now and then give him a full season next year. You saw this with Justin Herbert. They didn't expect him to be playing this early. Now they know that they found their quarterback the packers are going to have to wait at least two more years to find out if Jordan love is they're starting quarterback. And now with Daniel Jones, in his last eighteen starts. He is three zero against Washington he's in fifteen against everybody.

"You're a team captain and a team leader, so you're also the one who's GonNa, turn around and try to get the people who are going to look you on the other hand and say I will your bitch in your here, but you're going to try to lead us while you're here as a little bit of a slippery slope, so Jamal Adams. This is terrible timing right now. Somebody needs to pull him aside and say listen dude, so your point. He ain't traded anywhere where someone's going to turn around and give him forty five million in one check, it ain't. I'M GONNA mention I'm going to give you this list to okay. I think this is interesting. Forget Watson Mahomes. Their quarterback says different right, so we all understand that. Joey Bosa Jalen, Ramsey Ronnie Stanley Ryan Kelly Alvin Kamara Dalvin Cook Chris I'd win. George cadle Keenan Allen Patrick Peterson von Miller. All of those guys earn contract years. None of them have gotten extensions. It's just I mean. Look like it's just the reality right now and I think part of its cash right like I think definitely part of its cash. Some of these teams are bracing for losses in the fall. And then I think part of it. Is the uncertainty of the we saw back in two thousand ten right. Before the lockout you remember this teams were saying. We don't know what it's GonNa. Look like after this year, so it's really hard and I even use the example yesterday. So if you look at Dak. Prescott Right, so let's just use this number and I thought this was interesting. Use the like. Let's just say that otherwise the cap like look. If none of this ever happened right then the cap was going to be two hundred and seventy million right in. Let me pull this up. The cavs, going to be two hundred and seventy million in two thousand and twenty three. Okay, and I think that's conservative based on going, but to seventy in two thousand twenty three. And let's say the Dak. Prescott is on a deal at forty million a year, so forty, million, forty, million, a forty two million dollar cap number against a two hundred and seventy million dollars cabin twain twenty-three. You'd be talking about fourteen point eight percent of your cap all right now. Let's knock that number down to twenty based on the idea that this is going to affect the league financially. They're going to have to borrow against. Future years everything else now. You're talking about that percentage going up to eighteen point two percent. That's four percent of your salary cap when you have fifty three guys in your roster, and that's a quarterback, so obviously the percentage are bigger, but you're dealing with that with each one of these guys, and so I like I. Just I don't know what's going to solve this I just. I don't think that the holdout rules are such where it's going to be hard for Jamal Adams to hold out and I feel like that's probably why he's doing it now. because. He's trying to put pressure on them before he asked to show up for Camp I think ultimately he shows up for camp and it'll be interesting to see. I think a big challenge to for Adam gays and Greg Well Greg Williams. It'd be interesting to see how they make this work. Because I think that coaching staff to? Whenever Woody Johnson gets back from Europe and it could be this year. The coaching staff is going to have a new boss to answer to which is sort of an interesting elemental. This is well. Yeah I, look I'm not against players advocating for themselves I think that when it comes down to business, you've also got A. There's a matter of practicality there as well, and it just doesn't seem like Jamal Adams can think outside of his own bubble is to what he wants or where he wants to go and I. I also saw another one of your tweets. Where when you went to cover the cowboys. Someone who covers the cowboys beat said to don't ask him. They all want to play for the cowboys true. It's one hundred percent the truth, they all. They all want to be on that stage. So that's part of it. I know he's from there, but like every single one of these guys wants to play for the cowboys Gresh as always appreciate.

"Pops take a break in my room. I was like I know I know what I signed up for. Well this is after like in the teen somewhere he cut we bumped new again and he said. Hey look. I'm getting tired of watching on TV. I'm sure you're getting tired of seeing yourself too and I thought about it and I thought you know what I I know. I signed up for this on so I think I did an interview with Suzy. Kolber buzz like my parents did My girlfriend at the time. Did you know the people who are with didn't and so? I felt like they probably were starting to feel uncomfortable. And that's all right. Maybe they need to go into his green room and we'll figure it out so while we were waiting there my dad shopper. Everyone everyone calls chopper. He was getting pretty hungry. So as is so chopper and I were like to get some AAA so we ended up. Call one of my buddies who made a AAA. Ron Literally left's left music. City ended up going to get a radio city and going to get a big huge baggage. Pull away so they bring it into Roger. Goodell's green room to stunk all these. So now we make me and my family at eight in like asshole this before like the Baltimore Ravens on the twenty second pig. They're trained at twenty three. It's AAC me and so I'm just trying to pay attention to ozzy and Rick New Heisel and Brian Billick. And then I got a call from Cleveland and they're like Ripa me out on stage before I can even tell my family like hey Cleveland's turning up the take me I throw some gum in my mouth thing and like my breath smell reto racy here on out and that's the end of it like the way that whole thing happened. The way that fifteen minutes of my life occurred was the most bizarre thing ever and I my whole sern was like not how I looked out on stage breath like a Burrito once I got out there that's awesome. That's awesome and you know what you like I. Do you share this with me before? But I do think it's important this time of year to whether it's to our Justin Herber Joe Borough the importance this situation that these kids are getting drafted into to. I mean you could have been drafted to the Ravens which I mean you know I. I know we've talked about this. Look what happened with Joe? Flacco is important as the position is the positions also dependent on a lot of other factors. Going right right and I think for Pirjo borough or a lower just and herbert a huge piece of whether or not they make it is GonNa be worth going you know Carson Palmer and I talked about that earlier today just how the situation circumstance you enter into your naive to it you might know to a degree and people might tell you things but you don't know and so you go to the next team like I remember when I got to Denver and when I got to Seattle and other places where you're going man. The ownership here is unbelievable. Like you get why they have sustained success our track record or history because of that and so you feel the difference. You see the difference and you go. Oh this is how it's supposed to be like. That's the hard thing is you? Don't really know sometimes until after it's already too late. I really felt like though the first couple years I was there we were on the right track. I mean we went ten six my rookie year. Da Played Great. The rest seem play gray Had they kept that group intact through a tough two thousand eight season where we were riddled with injuries. Who knows how my career or a lot of the players create. Cleveland would have went. Your Joe's doing what he was survived through it. But people forget the quarterbacks how much carnage has the rest of that team Kart through. How many quarterbacks have we seen different or that were like dens award? How many years? It's going to be there before if things don't work out some of those news on from him like it's just it's a product of when you have that much turnover at organization. It doesn't matter how good you are a new head coach general manager. They want their own guys and eventually they're going to. They're going to move on from you as a player with with very few exceptions and you're also learning from so many different people right like that's got to be a huge part of it. I would think I mean this is maybe this is why peyton manning. Tom Brady made it but Tom Brady. You know pretty seamless Charlie Weis two Josh mcdaniels to bill. O'brien back to Josh mcdaniels. Peyton manning had tom more for the first fourteen years of his career. That's a huge piece of it. That like you've got that continuity around you and people understand who you are and you're learning from the same people we talked about anticipating and it's easy to anticipate when you don't have to think about the verbiage of the play on the offense what you're asked to do. You know when I first got in with Robson's inskeep offense there in Cleveland. Which by the way a lovechild is a great play. Call her but you know. He wanted change footwork. My seven step drops weren't what he wanted. He wanted to be quicker. Wanted to do shorter and more measures. Everything was the same length as opposed to you know most most teams they teach it. They teach maybe three big and then four little steps on the on the back end or some will teach you know five as big as you can and then the last two will gather towards the back end so there's different rhythm forward that goes to it but when you're thinking about those things for the timing of the play and in verbiage of the play all those things end up impacting how fast you can play and how well you can anticipate so. There's no doubt you know when you have to relearn offense those impact you and just from playing with Charlie implying in that system like I remember when I got to Cleveland. They had the center handle the points. Then you had the opportunity to override it but I came from a system where I controlled everything in college for two years and I was confident in that because I always fell h if I don't know it's only GonNa impact me because if I if it's passed protection and I don't. I'm not sure WHO's coming. I at least know where my heart is on my side. Adjust or I know how to fix it but if I'm unsure and they end up going with something different than what I called and it's loud and we're on the road in the clocks wearing down we gotta snap the football. It's not only going to impact me but I might be wrong. I might be guessing. And that's a terrible thing to be as to be guessing as a quarterback in the NFL. You gotta play with confidence and so that was one thing that if I could do it all over again. Out of pounded the table to be able to say. I want complete control over this because I feel more confident as a player when I know what the declaration is for the run blocking the pass protection everything so I can make sure when the the best possible position to assist to succeed on that play. It's super interesting. I mean like just I mean. I don't know I always think about what might happen to you. Like you say you were in your with Josh and Denver. From the start and like and now you got. Now Seamus Right. Now you're going from Charlie. Josh Josh is the one investing like something like that I am and I know you've thought about it. Josh System is one of the pass man he he he would be able to literally give guaranteed completions like it was. It was one of the most amazing things listening to them game plan. Listen suing how you go about calling plays and set things up and just how would design plays like I? I really learned a lot from him. Especially in empty just how he would be able to isolate and figure out exactly what the defense was going to be in and so again going back to confidence before the ball was snapped. You already knew. You're you're going. You play so fast you you knew the matchup you're trying to work and you knew the leverage that you were working against most times and so then the other thing that you could do is when you know that before the stab you could dictate to the defense like when it's zone coverage they're looking at you. Now I'm looking is off. I'm moving defenders. I'm being I'm actually being able to create an open windows. Those things come when you have a really good play. Caller that does things to help out the quarterback before the snap of the ball and Josh's no doubt one of the guys that does that and he was he was awesome. I mean he is an absolute genius. Sam Charlie like those guys. I was fortunate to be around play around like I learned a lot of ball from those guys all right he's Brady Quinn in catch him on. I'm excited to announce that i have formed a partnership with with the law and crime network and that court junkie will now be releasing episodes every week some episodes include the case of a man who admitted to dismembering his father's body but who swears trial that he didn't kill him and the case of a woman who is charged with murder after she pushed her husband causing him to fall out of a highrise building court junkie is available on apple podcasts and podcast one dot com <music> so it's october twenty seven two thousand seven mark richt georgia football's head coach strolls across the turf of municipal stadium in jacksonville florida in just thirty minutes. His bulldogs will kick off against the florida gators and for once richt is brimming with confidence. Both both teams are now five and two so neither is really in national championship contention but for richt. This is still the most important game he's ever coached. It's it's chillier than usual today. In jacksonville the city that's hosted pretty much every florida georgia game since the nineteen thirties jacksonville is supposed to be the neutral game site but it doesn't feel that way to richt it's in florida for crying out loud and a game called. The gator bowl is played here. How could could it be neutral rick things as he looks up at a sea of orange and blue gator fans. The gators brought the bulldogs to heal in five of their last six matchups chops. It's given florida huge mental edge and made the buttoned up georgia coach desperate enough to do something crazy at least for him something with swagger. Maybe a little arrogance something to get some fire in his squad's belly. Even if it pisses off some football purists something in other words very sorry unmarked rick lake in seven seasons at georgia richt has built a reputation as a man of faith. Who's quiet. Decency stands out in the a cutthroat world of college football for him. It's simple you win with integrity. You lose with integrity. It's the georgia way. That's what makes this right now. The most off the wall moment of mark ricks entire career as kickoff approaches rick makes his way back to the cramped locker room stands before his players and reminds them of his plan to snap their losing streak he tells them if you don't get a celebration penalty after our our first score you'll all be doing early morning runs welcome to jacksonville and the seventy fifth encounter at this site between these two bitter rivals however you need he to compete if you're going to have a real rivalry and georgia has lost as we said fifteen at the last seventeen almost nine minutes into a scoreless game with georgia face this in third and goal at the florida one yard line star running back no sean marino takes a hand off and jumps over the pile of lyman in front of him marino up over the attack. Georgia touchdown and here comes the entire team. Watch this for excessive celebration. We may have fifteen handke's amir on this one. I can't believe it was playing. This was absolutely plan. Ric decided that he has his team. He's tired lord calving psychological advantage. He's willing to give up the penalty. Nearly every georgia player on the sideline rushes. The field penalty flags this fly in every direction the c._b._s. Cameras swing to the other side line anticipating a reaction from the gators. Tim tebow florida's phenomenally talented wanted sophomore quarterback looks confused sodas tvos coach urban meyer meyer is frantically waving his florida players off the field to to avoid pointless penalties. Meanwhile rick takes it all in happily and knows his plan works. The gators are rattled as the second half unfolds unfolds. Georgia's still doesn't give away its leave their stafford marino touch the bulldogs match every tibo touchdown with one of their own and win the game forty two to thirty for the first time in years. The florida georgia game lives up to the hype. A rivalry career. That's been uneven in the last decade is incredible once again. George's full team touchdown celebration quickly gets a nickname in the media. The gator gator stomp richt is thrilled but he's created an unexpected new problem while he made the rivalry competitive again he also adjust encouraged urban meyer tim tebow and the entire florida team.

"Now. All right. So this is about the Westbrook thing. Russell westbrook. Oh. Russell has said his side. And he's alleging some some racist comments being made by this couple. The guy is speaking out saying that you know, he has no problem with Russell talking to him. But leave his wife alone, don't threaten a woman. But now everyone is found out who the guy is. So off they go to find his social media. And let's just say there is quite a bit of hashtag Maga. Type of stuff going on there. And so off we go there we go. Russell. Russell Russell gets into fans. Fans. No, there's like I've watched this now from both sides, and I wasn't there. And I don't know the exact words that are said, but it's hard to it's hard to not assess some blame all the way around here. Of course, Russell I mean, even with the kid to do this Russell in the fan didn't need to say anything. In fact, he did throw racial slurs out there. That's absolutely terrible. Of course. But even a couple of weeks ago with the kid, I mean that kids shouldn't have been out there pushing on Westbrook. I don't care. How old he was? Where was the father looked to me like just a rich white kid who's sitting courtside with his dad was allowed to do whatever he wanted to go up and touch NBA players. You can't touch him. I like I was saying earlier linked to me the rules because I'm going to be very pro fan in terms of what they're able to do and say at a sporting event paid their way there. They'll never line though. Right. Oh, well, my line is not he is actually different. I I don't even like Boone guy what the hell. Doing like, I I'm not here to be ticked. I'm here to have a good time. So that's how it here to get mad with you hundred percent. And I'm also not here to lose my voice. I probably have a show the next day. Like that's not what I'm hearing. Right. But with you. But if somebody else wants to do that, I'm not gonna get in the way of their right to boo or at least appropriately Hackel or have some fun with someone, but you can't touch a player. Yes. You can't throw anything at a player. You can't you want to. And then you wanna watch the speech the way I said earlier was don't talk about their family. I also think that encompasses anything that is racial conversation with Brady Quinn. Didn't you ask him about? Yeah. Came out. Right, right. As Brady was coming on his verbal jabs about your family. And fortunately, I I've been in the stands and heard that I don't know if I don't agree with that. But as a player anything verbal shouldn't you be able to shake off almost any almost any? Remember, these players are in the midst of something that can be very emotionally frustrating for them. So they may come to the bench, you know, raft in call a foul or whatever. So they're already agitated and. Yeah, exactly. And and Ross by the way, rostrum on these are guys that actually play agitated from the jump. What makes him? So great, right. So they're agitated their emotional, they're hyped up. And then you get to the bench, and there's a fan to say, your mama's, an astronaut or whatever the heck. The real thing. By that not. "I'm so I don't I don't wanna be David car like. NFL network. It looks like you could you could literally like I drive on top of it. It looks like. Like, I what's that much money. Jimmy Johnson is made off of hair product advertisements throughout his career guys probably made more selling hair product, and he has doing the the FOX pregame show. So you get the next guy. More is better. Well, yes. So look it up. Look at her lack. He's got hair. Now, he's paid off that but by the way, Jimmy Johnston didn't make that much the hair product. There was also a protocol to extend made. He made goes. Yeah. That's where. Still on TV must be just doing it as a hobby. All right last football topic of the day. We have got to talk. Clemson Notre Dame the big Cotton Bowl match coming up this week. And I know you're going to be all over that being Notre Dame alum, and I gotta here. First of all three reasons from Brady Quinn's mouth. Why Notre Dame will win this game? One they've been underestimated all year long. I think they're more talent than people realize from years past. So it kinda starts there. Like people just constantly underestimated this team to the quarterback in book. Incredible improvisational skills. I know how good this defensive front is for clamps that's one of the best in the country. But then maybe without Dexter Lawrence, depending on the b sample from a drug test, you talk if it has also positive for Australian, I believe is the substance he'll be out for the game suspended for years. So pretty much just be getting drafted next year in twenty nineteen nonetheless, they've got a very talented front but books ability to avoid the rush. Make some plays outside the pocket. He's tough when things break down. That's where he becomes special and he'll need to in this game. That's you know, one of those big keys. I think it's helped them remain undefeated this year, and then and finally free. Their defense doesn't allow ton of big plays. They give a decent amount of cushion. What they're well coached a very disciplined. They you know, they don't take a ton of chances because they don't really have to. They've got Jerry tiller enjoying aqua or two of the better pass rushers. I think Notre Dame's had long long time. So I I think their their defense is better up front as far as the athletes, their, you know, their ability to get to the opposing quarterback and then not giving up big plays. So those would be three reasons why I think they got a shot the one this one. How does this Notre Dame team stack up to all time? Notre Dame teams are are they up their can be one of the great Notre Dame teams of all time. Do you think? You know, I it's it's funny. When you ask the question like that because I think you could make the case, you know, they'd be up there with the best. If not maybe the best only because they're undefeated, and they were obviously at this point to win a national championship. They'd be undefeated. And they've done it in the most difficult era ever to win a national championship in the sense that you've gotta plan a playoff and prove yourself twice in sudden death scenarios in order to win it. So I think you could make the case where you know, they're getting their arguably the greatest and at the same time, you you you kinda curious to see you know, what happens with some of the talent on this team. And we're they going the NFL because you know, for some reason when we look back a lot of Notre Dame talent and those teams and how they performed or their success people looking to see like what they did. Once they got the NFL kind of where they go where they draft like I feel like we tie the success of team. So they might towel had like everyone makes a big deal about what the Miami Miami attacking vows. Yeah. Like it just how many first round draft pick. They have..

"It's time to find out from Ryan Hickey traces case we're gonna we're going to play opposing counsel's argument. One more time the rental let you make your own case to the jury again NFL play linebacker big ten graduate. A man knows football because it's his life. Christian kirksey talking today about you. We got a guy that worked on the show who went to Penn State says the Penn State fan, but also Notre Dame fan your big ten guy. Can you be a Notre Dame fan Anna Penn State fan at the same time? No, no way. I don't think that's a good. I actually don't think it's possible. No, no way. I'm it down. I don't think that's good. I actually don't think that's possible. Trace. Your turn in front of the jury, sir. Well, I it's definitely good. And it's definitely possible. I'm living proof of why it's possible in lights. Good again. I mean, I'm I feel like I'm being a real fan here. People are trying to attack me and get on mean claiming as a fraud because I like teams when you really break it down when you boil it down, you look at the raw evidence that when you grow up early for once you might might limit my room at home, which crane living is blue and gold stuff when I was young. I typically name is still the Brady Quinn. Poster. Probably what he said on my on my door. I was a huge fan growing up. I lived in breeze. I bled. Blue and gold, then when you go to university, it's a little different different connection. Obviously, obviously became a big Penn State fan could not ever go against my mater. So you had a different connection. So while yes, I'm fan of two teams. It's like a different type of fandom for each. Okay. So braiding finger is a.

"Is more of like a purple. Yeah, love is a pale purple color named after the Mallow flower. It's a French term. Well, I had iris on yesterday. Yeah, and I think mov would be in the family. It's Irish this offense, expanding your color pal. It is. Yeah. So iris and mauve were sisters, I believe, yes. For how much more do we need to look at that be drive for the playoffs ends in the racing capital of the world, don't miss the monster, energy Cup series at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Sunday at two eastern on NBC and Brady Quinn former Notre Dame quarterback is going to join us coming up. We'll talk about college football games. This weekend. I was talking about the eagles fans. They were booing at least some of the eagles fans were booing the eagles when they left the field at halftime. This is from one of the eagles fans your dog on right. We booed the birds off the field at the half. The birds then won the second half fifteen to six. That's imperial data drew. Ribbon proof that booing works. Take that analytic guy. Is that a shot at you and mclovin problem? That is the Phillies statement ever imperial data driven proof booing works. I never understood when you do because I'm guessing the eagles probably felt pretty bad the way they played in the first half that when you booed is that automatically reality sets in like, oh my God. Yeah, we're playing poorly or, hey, thanks for booing us. Now I feel better about trying to play better in the second half. The one city I've been in that always amazed me when somebody struggled was Saint Louis with the cardinals, the cardinals those fans didn't. Boo. If you struck out twice the neck, you're gonna get him again. You'll get them again. Hey, next time up. Watch this goes a hit like they always have positive reinforcement there because they. I love their cardinals that they just they couldn't do. Tino. Martinez told me the story that he goes from the Yankees where you can get booed for variety of things with those fans in the Bronx to. He goes to Saint Louis. He said it totally screwed me up because I was so expecting booed when I did something bad or I- struck out or I was in a slump he said they were the most positive people that I've ever been around. So Philly fans? Yeah, Super Bowl was a long time ago. Yes, mclovin. So I grew up, they booed Mike Schmidt. They boo is doctor. Jay was totally up for booing is every city not like that like this in Chicago? Did they not Peyton? I mean, I don't think they boo Jordan. Why would you? Well, he only won six titles. What did he do? All those other seasons. But why would you do the eagles? They're defending champs. Did you see the first half? Oh, my goodness that I have that just followed the big trophy presentation celebration thing that they did. They might have just been booing everything that was such a bad game, the penalties he wouldn't. You try to rally them by giving them support instead of booing them? Yes, Paul, it's a habit. It I actually thought the booing was muted last night compared to usual eagle booing, but that's the nature of an eagles fan who sees her team stink in the first half you, boom. On the way to the the, the locker room. There's that thirty years of doing that. They can't undo that one year. I can understand if the falcon fans would boo after watching with the falcons did well didn't do in the red zone, man. This is an issue. Now you can say it's a coincidence at times when you're not doing well, and you don't capitalize in the red zone. This is habit forming for the falcons early is and you can say, Well, Matt, Ryan gotta make place. Yes, Steve Sarkisian back as the offensive coordinator. They don't have Kyle Shanahan. Would it be different in there? They certainly have weapons in Atlanta has many weapons as anybody right now. Offensively but playcalling not good, not good. Nick foles was ask after the game about Carson Wentz not playing in this game. Here is the reigning Super Bowl MVP. I was Carson on the sideline helping you. Obviously, he, he wanted to be out there starting starting game..

Down four one bottom of the ninth they've just one. In the tenth over the rival Yankees five to four Mookie Betts is hitting over three forty leading the majors. By the way his home run tonight his twenty six of the year JD Martinez lead the majors in, homers RBI's with thirty three. Home runs and now ninety three RBI's. We're in the first week of August he has ninety three. Batting, about three twenty catch hack Wilson no not exactly who. Has since. About ten minutes to one in the morning at, Fenway pack meanwhile have you. Noticed the NFL news today that we had the trade of the woeful Cleveland Browns trading another one of their woeful first round draft, picks wide receiver Corey Coleman goes to the Buffalo Bills for according to NFL network eight late first round and unspecified pick at this point Peter King among the many football writers sending this out the Cleveland if you look at their first rounders between two thousand. Nine up through twenty sixteen that's eleven different first round, picks not one is left on the Cleveland Browns not one let me ask you a stupid question I'm pretty. Good at that I also see the Brady Quinn talking about it but he didn't bring up does this, have anything to do with. Kelvin Benjamin popping up about Carolina because. I guess they weren't happy about that in in buffalo I. Assumed, it had more to do with Josh Gordon that he's. Actually closed Quinta but I don't know maybe I'm thinking, thinking outside the box here. Who knows I might also have something to do with the other horrifically awful receivers around Benjamin in buffalo right now I mean rod, Streeter Zeta Jones I just don't think they have any depth either but Tasker No Maybe No. Shortly I don't think they're gonna be asking the pro football hall of fame game the unwatchable annual exhibition nonetheless was the top rated TV show of the. Night it was about six point eight million viewers by. Comparison the Stanley, Cup final clincher got six point six million viewers this. Year so the last, game the championship of the hockey season clinch that night got fewer than the first exhibition of the football. Season Saying that is insane and, by the way the hockey numbers this year that was up fifty percent in the ratings from the year before. Their game five, so it's just studying how, much fine if you want to say, football ratings are down it's still just kills all weekend for baseball in Seattle they were a ton of Blue Jays fans in from Canada it was. A superb superb atmosphere so much so that many players. For, the Canadian side the Blue Jays talked about wishing they could take the fans with them back into, Canada for their home games last night though in the game at Seattle there was. One Blue Jays fan who let's just say there was a bet on the line and he interrupted the Mariners Jays game last night in the night and. Streaking onto the field and he was eventually tackled by. Security and ushered, off well the Blue Jays reporter Hazel may from sports. Net says the streaker, is a citizen living in Vancouver but a citizen of Ireland and so may be forced to return to Ireland depending on how the legal situation plays out after last night's arrest outside Canadian borders her, update this afternoon was that her source with the sheriff's office in Seattle Had the streaker still incarcerated today by the way could be deported all for. An eighty dollar bet better go bail them out we're talking AFC north next Your.
