"Let alone to interject some others in their 855 to 1 to four, CBS Brian's in Minnesota on the grass show on CBS. Sports Radio. Brian What's up? Hey, man, Thanks for taking my calls you You don't be calling in to defend up player that I just buy. It doesn't liking accurate. I love it. I get a couple of plays like to make him quick. One has anyone had more bad playoff losses than he's pagan last couple of years with the miracle here. Ram game, and then he Kyle Rudolph got one like they should not have lost the Vikings over two years, and I'm a Viking. In defense of him. He made Jimmy Graham you were asking about if he's made any players really good. I think Jimmy Graham would be an example of that. She's done literally nothing after he wasn't playing with three and that all being said Elway is a better quarterback. And always be far head to head. It's interesting that you that you get away in there, Brian and you do make a good point about some of those playoff losses. And yes, there was right. The catch by there was the miracle in Minnesota, right? And then there was the whole, uh As you mentioned the catch by Rudolph And then the most. I mean, the worst bad beat in the history of the NFL, and that is the no. P I call where they had a chance to be able to go to the Super Bowl a couple years ago against the Rams. On. We all know what that matchup would've been. It would've been Brady Brees, and then we would have had a clear divider there to where it would have been okay. They matched up against each other and Super Walters and quarterback against quarterback. Get, it least would be a game for us to be able to say if they had the chance to outduel each other who ended up winning the day. So to speak. And by the way that you that Super Bowl was bowling shoe ugly, wasn't it tied it three or 63 going into the fourth quarter? I mean, that was those gross in terms of Offensive football. I will say that I think he makes an interesting point on Jimmy Graham in terms of a player they drew Brees elevated. I'm sure to write it down as I'm saying it. Because that might be worth some examination. I do wonder how much of Jimmy Graham not being as productive as he was with Drew Brees anywhere else. I wonder how much of that is just his body breaking down because he was a unique tight end. He was one of those dudes who was really kind of a bigger wide receiver. But you couldn't play him out there all the time. And you didn't want and blocking as in a man on the line of scrimmage all the time, so Was a lot like Alvin Kamara. It seems a Sean Payton likes to have that chess piece to be able to move all over the board and whether it's a guy like Reggie Bush or Alvin Kamara or Jimmy Graham. To be able to create the I would create those kind of matchups. Um Graham was one of those guys that just kind of broke down physically, Quite honestly. 855 to 1 to four CBS Steve in Baltimore talking about Drew Brees on the grass show on CBS. Sports Radio. Steven Good evening. Hey, Good evening. How you doing? I'm good. Steve. What's up? What do you have tonight? Well, I definitely well, you know this Reese retired was definitely a late breaking news. I'm sure he had plenty of time to think about it. He's definitely as far as that's concerned. He's definitely one of the greatest quarterback. Of all, you know, you know, get this passing records and touchdown record. Now, if he knows the top 10 best quarterbacks in NFL history, no top kids, So he taught 15. Maybe Definitely the top 20. But I will say this, though in his college career and an NFL career, he's definitely one of the greatest quarterback that produced and the New Orleans Saints has ever had. And let's don't forget he did. Take that produce bowl of makers to their various and probably their only Rose Bowl in their school history. So you know it's sad to see Drew Brees retired, but I'm pretty sure he's definitely got a bright future..

"Of their game and still active in the National Football League right now. I think that says something about Drew Brees. How is he? Not a top 10 quarterback of all time. If you're putting up those type of numbers, you have to be given that consideration. If you went just by the numbers, even make an argument to these in the same category is Brady. We wouldn't even be having the conversation about Brady is an unquestioned vote in the history of the National Football League. It be Brady Brees. Brady Brees. Well, no other things factor in Like team accomplishments, like seven Super Bowls as compared to one and that's why Brady gets the nod. But I think we put too much of an emphasis on team accomplishment when we talk about a guy who is arguably statistically. One of if not the greatest of all time Now, Brady may actually go by him and Brady plays two more years. He's going to get a couple of these categories where he's gonna be able to catch him pass. Drew Brees. Okay, So then Brady's number two again, not anything to be bad. Embarrassed about. And when my first caller and believe me, I didn't set this up. He just helped to help me make my point by saying, I don't even know if he's in the top 20 of all time. He's a guy who just leans. He gets out their playoff records, and he looks into playoff record today. Well, this guy's number one just got nothingto. This guy's only 500 all time. The post. I forgot. It's not in the top 20. Well, how did you get to the playoffs? What kind of a regular season did you have? How many touchdown today you throat during the regular season? How many yards get pants for during the regular season? Yeah, those things count to and I'm just saying Melvin to when you decide to come up with your quarterback ratings of all time, and Drew Brees should be in the top 10 in the bottom of the top 10. I'll give you that because I put these were the first sick that came off my head. I wrote them down because I didn't even want to look it up. I just wanted to do it off the top of my head. And I didn't even put United's on there. I would add united to the list, so I would say these air the top seven. Brady Montana Farm. Marino Elway Manning United those of the top seven in my book group breezes, not surpassing any of those. All those guys have to in my mind. Go ahead, Drew Brees. We'll see what all these guys who are still playing become over the course of their career. Rogers a little further along Wilson is further along than either Mahomes or Watson. But these guys gonna play into it At some point they're not there yet. Breathes officially called it a career today, so he needs to go into the evaluation stage now. And Yeah, I think he's a top 10 quarterback of all time, Johnny. Maybe not top. 20 is my first call us at today. Jodi just very quickly. The one thing that is worth pointing out and this hurts him a little bit. When a guy named Joe Flacco has more postseason wins than you and you play to the age of 42. That's not a great look in terms of being an all time great quarterback. Understood. But Flacco played on teams that had phenomenal defense is New Orleans always had solid defense is at no point during do breezes career would I say he played on a team that out of top two of events in the leak at ever? Ever and it's a 15 years. Not once in those 15 years that we have a top two defense that played on his, uh, the other side of the ball on his team. Perfect example this year. Tampa Bay. I don't want to take anything away from Brady was Number seven, and he played good in the Super Bowl. Um don't know how great he played in there getting to the Super Bowl. Oh, by the way. In the game in New Orleans. They won that one when he actually got basically Andrew breezes career more so because of defense what they did the breeze, then what Brady did on offense against that saint defense. You're right. That's again playoff numbers, and I can't argue playoff numbers. Drew Brees. If you're just talking about postseason quarterbacks, I don't know that to breeze makes the top 50 of all time. We're not talking about only postseason. We're talking about entire careers regular season to qualify for the postseason and in the postseason on top of it. That's why I got priest in my top 10. All right, let me get back on the phones. 855 to 1 to 4 to 27 Gary from Jackson builds up yoga. Are you, Jody? Good, buddy. I have no quarrel with you putting grease in the top 10. But to me his career has always been a mixed bag to me, Jody. And I'll tell you why I kind of what I did. He was a person he kind of Business Cherry me sometimes because he made a comment about the older players. Why should modern day players pay for the older players when they blew all their money? And they spent their money? Well, Those guys weren't making 20 minutes million dollars a year. You know, Jody, you wanted you wanted nothing to do with today's conversation. I know Drew Brees made some foolish sledge. Insensitive statements about protesting the anthem, and then he had to backtrack and irrelevant in today's conversation were purely talking about what they did. When I had shoulder pads on and a football now hands their statements. The things that they've said had, at least in my mind for me has nothing to do with today's conversation. Okay. We come back to different, but tell me what about you know who it is No big into different. I'm telling you how I look at it. If you want to look at it differently, That's fine. I'm trying to have a football conversation, not a personality conversation. You want to take it in the personality? You can What about down the.

"Mike Wells, join us on the Goodyear hotline. I'll quickly get you out with this on the bills. Fourth down there was an offsides that gave them a first down when they were trying to do the same thing. The Colts the Colts did. That ends up leading to a touchdown. That's a bad penalty. Surprise you, and is that like an uncharacteristic thing? I don't follow him day today. That's a huge penalty in this game. That's a huge, huge penalty. Anybody who have seen who has watched the movie Beverly Hills Cop from Oakland Raider defense event, he fell for the banana in the tailpipe on that one. He fell for that hard count on Dr Alan. And jumps and then all the sudden it extended to drive for Buffalo. You can't fall for the banana in the tailpipe is Axel Foley said in Beverly Hills cop like I love this guy. I don't know, Mike, but I have to tell you get the pop culture reference. Is this the kind of dude mine who's gonna be watching DJ Callen on the freeform vodka? Uh, mega cast tomorrow time out. Myron knows how I roll. We'd like to have fun with it in their right mind. I'm no Mike. I know him, and I appreciate it. I'm Mike Wells fan now. Thank you very much, Mike. For the time we appreciate it. Be good, fellas. Else just coming in here. Think you made a friend man I did like I like a good Seinfeld reference. He likes a good Beverly Hills cop reference, No matter what happens, we're all friends. Well for Philip Rivers, this is a big second half, potentially his last second half. Is an NFL quarterback, but he's not the only veteran quarterback with a lot on the line. Brady Brees, Big Ben Rogers Are any of these guys in their last chance to bring home a Super Bowl for their career. That's next here on Game day on ESPN radio. Maybe Chadwell, the head coach.

Tom brady and i know it's because of abc but hold on a second look at this big target. Who's finally getting the active on this team. And that's big eighty seven rob gronkowski. They figured it out. And i think part of this took a little time. It was going to take some weeks to understand that gronk is good at seem routes over route corner routes and quick play actions. They're finally utilizing him. The right that's why they've been so successful next team folds or ten a hill mark got. I gotta go with tannehill. He's just been so consistent for me this year. Listen he's thrown Let's see here. He's got seventeen touchdowns and only three interceptions. He takes care of the ball so well that that's opposed to nick foles. He's had eight touchdowns and seven interceptions in limited action. But listen they have such a good running game Henry is on pace essentially to rush for like sixteen hundred yards. That's you help for the quarterback. I see tannehill lightning. How about tour or cuyler had to who you got. This is a tough one. I love the way place. But i'm going to go with two. He got his licks last week. Especially from aaron donald. He woke up. He figured out what the nfl's all about and you can't figure it out all in one week but he's going to be ready to play he's got something to prove. "Team is ridiculous. I play last year. Greek hold on you compare into mask. Davidge played ten years. How many times does he made the playoffs? I think two or three okay. That's made it twice in four. Wait hold on. Hold on to think too okay. Biggest to twice in four years and beat the Great Russell Wilson in the playoffs before Dad. Got There with Tony. Romo in their previous six years. Dallas made the playoffs once. So you're blaming the years you're putting a fool blame on Dak Prescott. The Dallas with the third best point differential in the NFC miss the playoffs. Yes because you can't look at the point differential why he pulled them numbers against the bad teams. These started the season Torino Washington the dolphins and what about the preview diet? Here's rob no I'll tell you what Woah now even doing races i. We don't even have to raise the EFI. Didn't put up those numbers. You would have been making a stink about the fact that he put up those numbers. You know what I'm saying but it matters who you beat Greg. You know that if you're trying to win you trying to win a lot. He wrote a super bowl. I'm going to say this. This is no slight against Tom. Brady is just where he is in his career. So before all the new England fans go crazy. Say nobody no one on chancery and Tom Bush naive town.

"Back because they talk to. You know that God I look that Prescott is going to have the better year individually. Okay now I mean he's what twenty seven don't matter we played all. He's not gonNA get worse and Tom Brady. At forty three is not going to get better at best. Probably stay the same. Maybe slightly better twelve game. Also you tell me didn't. Wasn't Tom Brady to quarterback one more in the league. How great their defense? Which player quarterbacks better individuals season Dak last year threw for more yards per game by fifty four yards? We're getting more touchdowns better. Qb are better. Completion percentage. That's going to be the case next year. Now if Brady gets in the right situation maybe it's New England and they add some skill position players. Maybe it's Indianapolis Tampa Bay. Whatever the chargers he might win at a higher Clinton back. I think the cowboys will be good. But you'll probably be on. The team is really good too. So if you're looking at winning maybe Brady will have go further but individual season. I think got now he do make a good point. You're over here rob. If somehow the Patriots get Greg Olsen at tight end in. Aj Green of the Bengals as a free agent. Brady's numbers would be better but Tom Brady was not a top fifteen quarterback in this league this year by any statistical measure. You can look at whatever you want. He was not a top. Fifteen quarterback Dak had his best season in the league again. I don't know if you buy the stats. You like to win. Loss record stuff. I feel I need to support all only because he was two and seven against teams. Five hundred or better yet but to visit. So this defense wanted nothing to do with just. You can't bring out quarterback you'll know what to New Orleans New Orleans didn't even score touchdown and be gap Prescott and did not have a game there tolerated. He will no doubt sell. There's one for examples receiver to be on the field against Philli. Was I was Amari Cooper out there every cooper..

"Cowboys appear to be all in on Dak Prescott despite swirling rumors surrounding Tom. Brady Michael Irvin added some fuel to the Brady to Dallas fire but later walked back his comments on the situation but signing Brady would certainly be an all time all in move for Jerry Jones who turned seventy eight in October. And obviously is it getting any younger as he chases a another super bowl title. Greg Jennings which quarterback will have a better year next year. Dak Prescott. Tom Brady back Preska out. That Prescott will have the better year. We already saw what he's working with the year. He's coming off of with the talent that was around him. Now we understand that Amari Cooper is not under contract. Randall Cobb not on the contract. There's some variables that need to still be put in place there to help support what he was able to do an established for that team and he doesn't have a contract with the Dallas cowboys. Let alone all those other guys. But let's say he does get signed by the Dallas cowboys which I believe he will. With Mike McCarthy being now at the head coach position Kelham more at the office coordinator position him establishing that relationship understanding the importance of having a relationship with someone. End The offense to continue to progress and build on that. And then you add Mike McCarthy who? We've seen what he was able to do with an Aaron Rodgers in the Brett. Farve those guys the his his resume proceeds him as far as being able to get the most out of those guys you can arguably say whatever you want to argue me up and down about Mike McCarthy but he's going to make Dak Prescott a better quarterback if this all works out and he is with the Dallas cowboys assuming that it will Dak Prescott would definitely have the better season again. We've mentioned it. Tom Brady is going to be forty years old unless he gets into the perfect storm. You talk about the chargers. Everyone automatically assumes that he answered Tom Brady and with the chargers in. They're going to be great. Will that is not always what the case is when you're going into a completely new situation. Situation Offensive Scheme of coal coaching staff culture. You don't know what the culture is and you have to now create that. Tom Brady being with the Patriots if they were to put pieces around him he. I think he would have a better chance of being up there with that. Prescott as far as his their their play but Dak Prescott clearly by far. Have the better season Major Boston. I'm saying it would be Tom Brady if you gave him the same weapons that Dak Prescott had we're everybody including crisper saw it so they were going to the Super Bowl and talking about next year about what he has. Because we don't know if that Prescott is GonNa have the same up to saying that that Tom Brady can do that. And we see quarterbacks age quarterbacks win if you put him in. The white situation has circles to hang. We saw any manning win forty-three year old. We saw Pai. Many who could bail was the tin man in that super bowl could barely move around and he was able to do just enough and not hurt the team but the defense carried them. All I'm saying is people last year thought with the with the Pieces that the cowboys had that will go to the Super Bowl and not only did they. Not Go to the Super Bowl Greg Jennings. Day didn't even make the playoffs because Dak Prescott wasn't able to win the big games that they need to win. They went to Philadelphia to division. I mean the the division right there waiting for right. All they had to do was go. Beat A DEPLETED PHILADELPHIA team. They will have quarterbacks wide receivers. 'cause they had nothing for Carson Wentz and what attack do laid a goose egg no touchdowns in a big game really like a playoff game. All I'm saying is not buying all the way into Dak and that's why Michael Orvin came out with this. That's why he went and put out there about people around the cowboys because they know with that talent base if they would insert. Tom Brady protect. Tom Brady and had the weapons that they have they would have a better chance to win a championship deduct Prescott. That's what you are running wild with this. Tom Brady to Dallas story they even Mike. Irving himself has walked.

"You mentioned the Los Angeles chargers being a potential fit for Brady. Now we've gotten official word from Adam. Schefter reported on Monday that Philip rivers and his team have mutually agreed to part ways. which sounds a little like win? Paltry Chris. Martin broke up. I have long been a rivers defender. But he's coming off of one of the worst seasons of his career. Do you think he's likely to keep playing while we were talking about Brady and where he goes. And some of those possibilities exist for Philip rivers as well. I mean if you talk about Tennessee if they decide to go. The established veteran route short-term route rather than committing to Ryan Tannehill which is a possibility talk about Tampa Bay. If they decide they don't Wanna go go. All in on a contract or franchise tag for Jameis Winston. You know you're dropping from thirty interceptions to twenty so incremental improvement is good you go from Winston to rivers. I mean would would Belgium do it right if Brady left talking to people Miami at the Super Bowl like there are some people expressing a little bit of doubt like you know is a really going going to be a Philip rivers market. I mean he's thirty eight. He's coming off a bad year he doesn't bring what Brady brings in terms of cachet and in terms of championship experienced. Certainly but so it is easy going to have to go somewhere and fight for a job. He has what is nine kids. You know he he's he's been at this a long time I think he's gotta find find a situation where he's very very comfortable right now with his opportunity and that means opportunity to play and opportunity to win a championship. which is the one thing that you know is missing from his record? Drew brees unlike. Tom Brady and Philip. Rivers is coming off of a very good season. Though statistics I mentioned for Brady where he's been middling drew brees ranked ranked in the top three in all of them pass rating quarterback rating adjusted net yards per attempt. Why would he retire would just be if he decided he'd had enough? I mean that happens opens right. I mean that's just get home to your family. Look around and say you know maybe I just don't want to crank this back up again. Maybe I mean there's a lot of work goes into preparing for an NFL season. And I'm getting through it and certainly he knows this he's going to be forty one years old. I mean I. It's all over the map. It's a different situation though in that there's nowhere else he's going to go. Drew brees leave the retire tire or play for the saints that he's not going to go out and take himself out on the free agent market. He's made that clear in his public statements and he made it clear two years ago when he had the opportunity to do it and and did not when other teams were calling and expressing interest and he said no thanks. I'm staying in New Orleans. The last time he was a free agent. But I think there's only two possible outcomes there and I think they're both possible. I just don't know which way he's leaning 'cause. I'm not at the breeze dinner table. Well the saints are very good team right. I think that's it is it's it's sort of. They should be good next year. I think there are in amongst the favorites to you. Know make it to the superbowl next season. Let's say drew brees does retire. What do you think.

"It all began of course with the Super Bowl and a year ago today. The forty niners coming off the foreign twelve season while preparing for the number two overall draft. Pick they then became the third team ever to make the super bowl immediately following a season which they had fewer than five wins. The two thousand eighteen forty niners were not good. They had the worst turnover differential the league. They don't want minus one hundred point differential weighting ear and look stats improving immensely which results in them becoming the third team to make the super bowl winning four four fewer games to prior urine so that got us to thinking if we had to bet your house. Bet Your House on a team that missed the playoffs this year. Making the Super Bowl next year Mike Tanenbaum. Which team are you better your palatial estate in Boca Raton Florida to make it to the Super Bowl? It Tax Free Florida. Yeah the Pittsburgh steelers is Ben. Rothlisberger is coming back. He's going to be thirty eight years old. But look you can still make all the throws everyone says elbow reconstruction went well and people. Don't realize is great defense. They were top five young players. T. J. Watt Devon Butch meeker fitzpatrick at every level emerging defense ben back in the playoffs. Jeremy Bet Your House which team thing that missed. The playoffs makes next year Super Bowl many my lovely Connecticut Estate Dallas Cowboys. He walks them last year. They look like a ten win team. Dak Prescott is a ten win quarterback on average forty wins in four years. And that defense underachieve there are missing late and Vansh You know this is a a defense that can be elite that they get the right pieces in place. You Run Z.. Conduct Week Division filthy. It'll be all that much better so Dallas will take advantage. Obviously the big coaching change. There is the big story. I Bet your house who you got. I'M NOT GONNA lie to you green and I'm not GonNa you bet my house on these boys but I will choose. This ICAGO. Bears the bears because they have a phenomenal defense led by young Khalil. Mack linebackers that can run defensive backs with the ball hats and on the flip. Five Mitch Trubisky. Can you get him in order. And remember this Andy Reid in his pipeline have been to two of the last three super bowls. Think Doug Peterson. Obviously Andy Reid. This Passover.

"Phenomenal. You know about it from a Santa's fantasy standpoint. I know about watching the tape. But when Alvin Kamara had to become the payson yes he dealt with some injuries this year but when he had to become the pace he was a little less potent and he was a little less vital to the saints so I love Tasting Hill in the world. He plays now. I disagree with that. The defensive coaches I've worked with in my rex ride Eric Mangini. They all say what keeps me up at night is a quarterback who can make plays with his feet short. It's really hard to defend so a guy that can throw tastes hill and take some hill is really hard to to see him. Throw it a little more than we've seen him throw it. But obviously Sean Payton forgotten already today. More about football law than I'll ever know. Let me ask you this because I've had this sort of whispered to me not spoken to me but whispered to me if breeze retires. Does Sean Payton kick the tires on Tom. Brady hundred percent. It makes so much sense. First of all they share the same agent secondly New Orleans has an outstanding offensive line. And if I'm Tom Brady. That is box number one. Can I be protected Sean. Payton's obviously a prolific play caller and from a personal standpoint. They're relocating out of Boston. Let's let's say it's Miami they move or New York. Can he get to that city without relocating the family. So I think the same screening is really intriguing does retire. I'll give you another bill. Belichick Sean Payton have done on May trades before in the past. They've spoken on record. Payton has about how he likes working with Belgium. Sign and trade. Perhaps they could get that going Brady ship over and get some picks actually a fascinating. Assassinating question does Tom Brady. Have a better chance to win the championship. Next year. With New England or with New Orleans New Orleans absolutely think of the threats thing of Kamara. Think of Michael Thomas. Tom Tom Brady. It's not about a hit lack of skill. He just needs. Help The saints have all the help in the world. I almost wanted as a rhetorical question. Plus you get out of Patrick Mahomes conference. There's a lot of things about that. That would make a lot of sense. I'm not telling you what's going to happen but boy crazier things than that you call them have happened. We are just getting.

"Morning because the coach spoke Jimmy Garoppolo as we all know took a lot of criticism after the forty niners super bowl loss on Sunday after missing some crucial throws late yesterday. Cal Shanahan was asked about the confidence. He has in his quarterback. Same as it was the day before the Super Bowl. I mean there's no different. I mean he was on his way close to Super Bowl. MVP and we all know we didn't didn't make those plays thin and whenever you don't make those plays at the end of the game like that first and foremost corvettes can get attacked and then usually the play caller so I'll we understand that's all goes. What did you think of that might ten about? I was a little disappointing disappointing. You have to unconditionally support your players. And there's a time and place to reflect in May and April May June. But right now your audience is the Locker Room Greeny Greeny and you have to love your players unconditionally. And have their back. And I don't think that was was he said there that you took issue with well just the fact that he he went on to say that there was options in those plays and the players were executed better. Well yeah that's probably true but there's a time and place for that greedy again. They just lost the biggest biggest game of the year. You have to support Jimmy Garoppolo. Barring something unforeseen is. You're starting quarterback. Next year your whole organization has to know that the head coach believes in him. I mean he did say that he did did say that he still believes in him. He did say that he was the. MVP that game through three quarters all of which is true once and for all because we have an energy here all week long. Do you blame the coach of the quarterback for the forty niners losing. Ah blame them both. And why because they're both at fault number one. I blamed Kyle. Shanahan don't put Jimmy G. in that situation now you might be saying. He's a quarterback he makes one hundred thirty seven million dollars. What do do you mean? Don't put them in that situation. Give the ball to your best players in situations like that. Here's the problem Greenie with with so many analytics.

"Oh, genius. Right now would be the big, Nick. And then you know, the goat Tom Brady. Sure. Going for Super Bowl number six that'd be his tenth appearance. Yep. We had dodgers dodgers Red Sox ninth appearance ago. Little payback. Or, you know, hold on south. I'm trying to remember. How many Super Bowls might quarterback spent? Hold on give me. One more second counting them all up. One two three four five six seven eight. Nine is nine this'll be nine yet. Lost to the giants twice in the eagles. So this would be cheating. Sorry about that Americans. Confusing. I know sorry. It's I have trouble county. I'm america. I'm sorry to apologize that bad. So it'd be nine nine Super Bowls for Tom Brady right nine not eight nine not ten. So Pat saints would be plus two fifty seven patch. Saints is nice because we've never seen Brady Brees all these years. Right. Yeah. Feel like there's not even. No ravaris at all. Even though they're almost the same age. There's never been a Brady breeze argument right there. They don't really have a lot in common. And Sean Payton, Bella check. It's not the great. I mean, whatever it's just I just like the Brady, I think, I don't know in a way, I think that gets the best ratings, right? That's what CBS wants pats win their first Super Bowl against the saints. I mean, I get in the Super Bowl. So in New Orleans. Oh, the Superdome. Yeah. Right. No. I think here's what who has this year. Who is he Bs as Super Bowl? I'll tell you what CBS once they want. They want Patrick Mahomes against the saints real. Yeah. Well, that's the MVP. That's a good match up. So that's obviously both favorites in that as one sixty eight plus one sixty eight. Yeah, that's the MVP one versus MVP to our shake it, right? So veer CBS you've you've milked as much as you're gonna milk out of the Brady oil..

"And then you're talking football around the country and getting come on with you guys, man. Appreciate you having me. Okay. So Houston it. Let's start there. I I wasn't gonna start there. But we probably should do this Houston Texans. I don't know if you're familiar, but I have said that I would come off the tip of my pinky if the Texans won the Super Bowl round week five tell us the mood the mood in Houston and also just like the realistic chance at the Houston. Texans could actually make a run to the Super Bowl this year where you're picky is Ronnie Lott is not going to have the Ronnie Lott treatment, he'll cut it off just to keep playing. You're safe. I think but I don't think it's going to happen there. I don't think they're ready yet guys when you look around the league at the best teams. They all have a couple of things in common. But one thing now in this day and age in particular. Said chief Patrick Mahomes. You saw rivers what they what he did today and has had a great season Wilson Brady Brees all these hundreds if they're winning the way Fiske's playing he was he was my Jared Goff guy before the season starts this year. And I think that I mean, he's not gonna put up the same numbers. But he's proven that he belongs. So all of them have the one thing in common. You got a guy that every game you go into and Watson's one of them. You can't win. They haven't happened around here. I mean, ugly. Go to the stadium playing with me where you go in and keep to win their lineup knowing that would that dude in the way their defense is planning to things that matter in January and December they got that guy in Watson who the full grown ass, man. Now, he he's got a little bit of hero syndrome in orange to make every frigging play. And doesn't know, you know, we see lock in. He's playing it doesn't know what trans win to just take the sack throw it away spectacular. He thinks he can make every place. So they're gonna play they're going to get a home game unless you know, what change down which looked like he made they can't dick around. I mean, they've got to play great in December. But their schedule is pretty easy. But I don't think they're ready because I just don't think they're explosive enough on offense. And I don't play calling wise they they know how to put their throat. Yup. But they're But they're good good enough enough to to be. be. Nick to a point. And they always keep you close. They do they keep in close. So they stay close, but they got to watch and guys at some point in time. He's an MVP guy in the league. And if they keep getting players they've got they've got the pieces, but the puzzles out there, yet your finger sake. I don't like I don't like that. I think that there. I wish you had gone the other way with that. But she brought up something interesting something we've all noticed about the Texans. They do win ugly. They're not blue in teams out. What's the difference? What what is the play calling? Where's the change need to be made in order to get that offense to the point? Where it's you know, it's like the Rams or it's like the chiefs to that next level one is you gotta have you gotta have. I don't mean to coach Gus, but you've got to trust that you can let it rip. And we we we always thought guys to stop the Xs and os a lot of times it matters. You can't have some guys afraid of his own shadow calling plays. And we've seen guys around the league are just afraid they play not to lose opposed to plan to win. I think that's a big problem. So if you've got the Xs and os, the Jimmy's in the Joe's, whom you can let it rip. Yeah. And that's and I don't think the Texans have enough Jimmy's in Joe's outside of office. Just. Yeah. Laid down bell next year. They'll be a bit stiff you're with them. They already are there because they're going to have fresh legs compla- off time though. That's the problem. Yeah. And I I think I'm will fuller being out obviously that was coming there..

"I still believe I still can't believe that. He would be totally useless to the point where they're one in fifteen that Barclay himself wouldn't be able to win a game that Odell would be able to get at least one fifty fifty ball a couple of games and see how it goes that they that they could lose with the defense getting healthier. I think we're gonna find out Monday. Here's the falcons are susceptible to being put upon points yardage. We saw James Doohan. Here's Eli Manning's legacy though bench or not. Here's his legacy is two championships. I think that's getting washed away. Right. It's not washed away. They will never get washed away. It will always be there. Those rings will never be taken. It's the exact you're the person trying to when the when the players say, no one can ever take this away. From me. You're the person who's trying to take it away from them. But I'm also saying that was eight years ago. So what that they won the Super Bowl? So what? So the legacy is. He's got two of them. And he got two of them against the team that nobody else is able to beat. He got one of them against the team that nobody did beat that year until he and the giants did. And I understand that he had a brutal first-half or the offense did. And I understand that a ball got stuck to how they one. Okay. One toy understand that. And I'm not going to take that away from him. What I'm saying where his where where he works for a living, or it might be that he just ran out of gas. And he wasn't as good, and he did not have the game physically to sustain the way that rivers in everyone else has. That is an entirely possible, and it will be up to people to decide or not. But still give you the names of those quarterbacks that you just mentioned Brady Brees rothlisburger river's. Okay. Major or older take Brady out. Rogers one one rivers is one zero. Ben has one too. And Brees is one one one too. And the giants fans will never forget it. And in that town where they're already talking about. Sam darnold is the second comment of Joe Nemeth. And the giants have had if I'm not mistaken. Four. In my lifetime to parcels to toppling. So jets town or not? It's still the trophies in the case in Eli got two of them. And nobody no matter how he finishes. We'll take that away. And giants fans will never forget it. And one day.
