"Mind, but he's so good getting around Bradley Chubb is The X Factor and he said, would you say? He probably is an X Factor for all of us because we're not sure how they're going to use them. The dolphins are shut out their opponents in each of the last two weeks. The Steelers and the Lions. And so they made great halftime adjustments. And they're getting the best they can on that secondary with a bunch of cast offs and undrafted free agents. Because Xavier and Howard is not having the season he had in the past, Holland, the three safety is a beast. And he'll be all over the field today, and they're leading tackler and someone who got two interceptions is their leading receptor as well. So that's what they can do. The question is, can they get after the quarterback? They're not been able to apply pressure to help that deplete the secondary. Hey, Jimmy, talking about the quarterback. I'm fascinated with tua because all the reports and tool over the last couple of years is questioning if he's the quarterback of the future of the dolphins. It seems like he's been wanting to be replaced even by Tom Brady possibly a couple of years ago and not all of a sudden. I mean, here's possibly the top court, one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. What is what's been the transition is all might McDaniels or a lot of them. A lot of it was Michael Daniel. The first thing he did. He got on the plane from San Francisco when he signed this contract and called tour from the plane and said to what you're my guy. I'm with you a 100%. You are the leader of this team. You are the quarterback. And plus you remember tour came out of Alabama banged up. The tour has now been the last several weeks and for most of the season. The quarterback, the dolphins thought they were getting when they drafted them all at all back. But I remember you're at the hip and he was banged up, he didn't play a lot his first and second season, so now here he is and year three, and he's really doing some terrific things. I mean, he can move. He's got the highest quarterback rating in football. Well, it's over a 112. And he's completing 70% of his passes, which is his norm. He's right around 70% all the time. So, and with these two wide receivers on the side, you've got the Tariq with 39 yards away from a thousand yards. Number one in the NFL, and then Jalen wall on the other side. Number four in the NFL and reception you are. So this is a good football team. And then Mikey in the middle is a really athletic tied in. So, and they also use movement a lot. They confuse defenses with a lot of motion. So watch for that. It comes late often. It's often the very little quick motions that force the line back under to take a step out of place and then they throw behind the linebacker. It's very well developed. Mike mcdaniel, as you know, a Yale graduate is a very smart guy, and he really is an adventurous play caller who comes up with plays and at different times that you never expect to be called at that moment. Jimmy, I saw a stat recently that last year the offensive line ranked worse than the NFL allowing 235 pressures. Now, it's a different story, I think, this year, right? Well, the part because you've got a pro bowler on the left side and you've developed this line. Yeah, Toronto Armstead on the left side, when he's been healthy. I used a terrific all year healthier not. Connor Williams in the middle. Give away from the cowboys, 5th year player out of Texas is a terrific center. And the disappointment has been Austin Jackson quite frankly. The number one pick out of USC and his third year right tackle in active again today with a sprained ankle. He's an actor for most of the year. And that's been the problem spot. So, but they're much better. They're running the football better. It's his own blocking scheme to Mike mcdaniel developed under the folks in that Denver and in San Francisco and so and most of it is a very good running back in that scheme's got tremendous speed. He's the second fastest guy on the team behind to rebuild. So watch out for him. And we'll see how they play today, but it's a team that really is a lot better talent than they had in previous years. Injury is killed him, but hey, part of the game for everybody. Well, they've certainly performed well over the years against the Chicago Bears. Jimmy cephalo, thank you so much for joining us. We appreciate the insights on this team. And stick around. We're getting an update now. We'll get an update on the injury situation Tom thayer is going to join us from down to the field. "Traded. It's got to be a shock to a guy like that who thought he found a nice fit in Las Vegas, but put me in that camp of extending the trade deadline a little bit further out. Yeah, I mean, I'd be supported. And we know the NFL is going to do anything they can to continue having a ton of coverage. I mean, if you guys turn down the TV on Tuesday afternoon, it was wild. You would claim you had Bradley Chubb. You had all these different movements. It was a craziest trade deadline I've seen. I think the NFL's realizing that's going to continue. You know, we talk every week guys about these owners are impatient, coaches are impatient, GMs are impatient. So we're seeing these trades now with Miami did to get Bradley Chubb, giving up those draft picks. You've seen the rams do before. We saw the report today of how much the rams were able to give up to the Carolina Panthers. But Brian burns is incredible and Christian McCaffrey moved all those things. So I think the NFL says if we extend this another week and make it even more excitement more teams willing to trade, why not? Well, and the amazing part about it is the names involved here. You mentioned Bradley Chubb. Roquan Smith, the leading tackler in the entire NFL traded away by the bears for a second rounder and a 5th rounder. I find it unfathomable that they can't find a way to get a first rounder for a Rogue One Smith. Yeah, you know, that's tough and I think what we've learned about roquan Smith over the past few months is how different his value is seen around the league, not just obviously by him. He's got different sense of his value compared to the bears. Right. And then you look at other teams. And I think frankly, I think the bears are probably fortunate that they got it to because everybody knew around the league that there was something wrong here that the bears probably were to get to a deal. So you're right though, you see a player that's met this much to this team and has been as productive as he is. You would hope that he could get a number one pick out of but it's just the way the NFL is and that position. It's hard to convince a team to give up a first round pick. Unfortunately, for that off ball linebacker position, today's NFL. I mean, you said it right there. That's what flu said in this press conference and off the ball linebacker. It's a position that, I mean, I believe, and I felt this a long time, that position. There's a lot of athletes in college that make good off the ball linebackers and if you have excellent coaching and a very strong defensive line, they're going to be successful. What does it say though, Kevin for the future players in this locker room right now that a general manager and Ryan polls who had a first round pick and he wasn't his pick, but a first round pick nonetheless in rogue ones with who played to the level or above the level of his status in the first round pick and wasn't going to get was it in the future plans to get paid at this organization. Does that send a message throughout the locker room? It could. And that's why I wondered early on in the process, just give up the extra few million for goodwill in the locker room to convince guys that it's okay we'll reward you, but you also, you're never going to see GM go over his number. These guys are going to be stubborn. All you got to do is win the Powerball. It's not an issue. All right, Kevin fishbein, what's your prediction for the game today? I think the bears have a big advantage in special teams, so I think that could help keep it closed. I just worry how long they can keep up with Tyree kill and Jalen. I'm afraid the dolphins might pull away late. All right, we'll see how it goes. Thank you very much. We'll read you in the athletic. Stick around we'll hear from the general manager of the

"Go, here we go. Here we go. Happy Thursday everybody. Welcome to it. Good morning. You were. You were in a little later this morning than usual. I was so worried. Everything okay this morning. Well, I was living in martial arts world for a minute. And then I tell you all the time, I'm walking through the airport and people, I'm sure people look at me like what is he? I'm asking myself questions that I'm answering questions. And so I've got this, I've got this meeting this afternoon, not in the early mid morning. With deep powers would be a fox, right? We want to talk to me about a couple of things. I'm kind of going through my head. What I'm going to get asked and what my question is my answers are going to be, you know? And you got to kind of pump yourself up, right? And it's not a call to the principle's office, but it's just a call. It's about certain opportunities, right? So I'm like, great. So I'm psyching myself up. Next thing I know, Mike, I'm on my way to the airport. So I come down, I come north on I 25. I leave my house, I go north on I 25. And I'm just talking to myself, and I just exit I actually see our E four 70. And I'm tooling down the highway. Talking to myself. What do you think about doing? Well, let me tell you what, Fox. I'm going on and on and on, just lipping on and saying, I'm like, where the hell am I? No, yeah, I get it. How far down did you go? How far did how many miles did you drive on E four 70 before you realized several miles before I had to get off like on Jordan and loop and take the U turn and look around and come back to 25? And I was up early, so it wasn't like I was groggy or sleeping. I was just having my own conversation. Just living in your own head. Yeah, I was just living. You can't get out of your own head. I was living in stinks world right there. I was just like, well, good to have you here. Well, it's good to be here. We got some breaking news to share with people right off the bat. Really? So those of you who were dead set on the idea of pain, Bradley Chubb, and that you're happy the Broncos traded him because there's no way you would want to pay him. Well, you're going to be even happier this morning. So that did not take long. The Miami Dolphins have already reached agreement on a new contract with Bradley Chubb. Here are the details according to Adam Schefter, who will be joining us just after 8 o'clock this morning. Dolphins and Bradley Chubb have reached agreement on a 5 year $119 million extension that includes 63 million guaranteed. The one he was happy. Man, so thoughts on that. In all honesty. So either the Broncos were incredibly smart and we just we just did to the dolphins what the Seahawks maybe did to us and the dolphins are the ones that are going to be like, what do we do? Why do we overpay? Why do we give great money to good player? Seriously. And I'm being serious here. Does that for you? Because you and there are a lot of other people on this station, which I just completely disagree with. It was a waving of the white flag. I don't buy that. So but that's me. Do you look at it differently now from the Broncos perspective knowing you weren't going to sign him, knowing that he was going to get a huge number in the free agent market knowing that you were only going to get in return a third round compensatory pick. Does it change your view of what George Payton and for the D mix? He didn't drive Justin Fields so he gets an F you want to talk about reading the room. Russell Wilson take notice of what George Payton just did. He read the tea leaves, he knew what was coming down the pike, and you know what he did. I first football team, he got value in return. He got a good running back, and he got a first round draft choice. See, the issue for me isn't,

"And also Chubb. And let's keep in mind that the Miami Dolphins are missing three starters from their secondary. So the secondary is going to have a tough time holding up right now. And when you're trying to get past Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes and get to the next level, well, you've got to apply pressure to them. So they bring in probably the most impactful defensive player that they've had Russian the pastor since Jason Taylor did that for them. That's what you're talking about right now. And then in a position where they're willing to pay him, sign on to a long-term extension because it's that important for the franchise to have somebody who does what Bradley Chubb does. And you're Bradley Chubb is a guy who is one of the most respected players in the Denver Broncos locker room, a leader amongst men out there. So not only do the dolphins get his talents on the field, but they get his presence off the field and that's why they were willing to give up what they did and that's why they're going to be willing to give them over a $100 million in a new deal and that's why this is a move that they believe helps elevate them to the next level. And oh, by the way, they did go out and make a couple of other moves. They traded for Jeff Wilson, who knows Mike mcdaniel well from their time together in San Francisco. So there's just another addition for this offense. I just wanted to make one more point chef because you're absolutely right and key. Also remember, this is a young defensive line as well. When you think about Bradley Chubb's age, Christian Wilkins was drafted, he Manuel oddball came over from Kansas City, Jalen Phillips is young, so these guys will grow together. Ray Korn Davis is on that defensive line who we watch. I think Miami has a real chance while these guys are maturing and being groomed to be a real player in AFC for an extended period of time as long as to a can keep his essential. You know, chubbs only 26 years old, but he is considered a veteran leader in a lot of ways and Adam mentioned that it was interesting doing the game in London with the Broncos when they finished the game and won the game. Russell Wilson always does the postgame prayer. He wouldn't start it without Bradley Chubb. That was incredibly important to him. You can just see that even in a short time, the impact chub had made on Russell Wilson will see him do that in Miami. I'm sure too. You guys are talking about Patrick Mahomes so much. Let's talk about him some more. All the concern about what the chiefs look like without tyreek hill, how would Patrick Mahomes make it work without his dynamic weapon? Well, Kansas City has been just fine. In fact, they sit atop the AFC west ahead of a game against the Titans this week. Let's talk more about that clash. We now welcome in. Our ESPN insider Jeremy Fowler, who's in Kansas City, you just talked to Patrick Mahomes, Jeremy. What's has his attention? Excuse me after they're bi. Well Laura mahomes tone was clear when we spoke to him a little bit ago. He is eager for this rematch with Tennessee, which handled the chiefs 27 to three in week 7 of last year. That three turnover performance did not sit well with the quarterback. Check this out. You got to be ready to play. I mean, last year we weren't ready and they beat our ass. We anytime you watch that on film and you see how you played. I mean, it wasn't just them beating us, but I mean, we played bad and they kind of put it down on us at the end of the day. So for us, we have to come in with a better mentality. Mahomes is gonna be ready. Thanks to an equal opportunity offense. The chiefs are actually up in a lot of statistical categories on offense, despite the loss of Tyree kill. So I asked coach Andy Reid about his quarterback's growth. He said that he's in a, quote, good place, as far as how he's reading coverages, making decisions, being a point guard on the fly. As a result, they have 6 different receivers that have at least 13 catches on the year, and now they have kadarius Tony that they have to work into this game plan. We just saw Tony catching some punts in practice. So it looks like he could be a factor sooner than later. Yeah, that's interesting. I mean, mahomes really has spread it around so well. I also love that every time we send Jeremy Fowler to Kansas City's in that same spot and it's just super windy. And it doesn't matter. Like you just make it happen. Hair, stay safe. I know. He's got the hair down. I mean Jeremy would do good, hair. Juice isn't berries, you know? I love it. Thanks, Jeremy. Okay, on the Titan side of things, we didn't see Ryan Tannehill last week as he was dealing with an ankle injury and an illness. So that means Malik Willis, The Rookie quarterback, got the start, but listen, you got Derek Henry, so he powered Tennessee past the Texans for Kansas City this week is Tannehill ready to play. Let's hear from him now. He's getting back into it. You know, slowly, slowly working into it with the ankle and see where I'm at. Day by day, just move it around and get ready to go. I mean, pain's gonna be there. That's just kind of where we're at with it. Unfortunately, with the nature of the injury it kind of is there. So just going to be a matter of if I can do my job or if I can. Okay, we'll find out. Despite the absence of Tannehill this past Sunday against the Texans, the Titans were able to win their 5th straight game and as I said, they did it by leaning on Derek Henry, who has been the key to the Titans turning their season around. Since the winning streak began in week three, Henry leads the NFL in rushing attempts and yards in his 6 touchdowns, trail only Nick Chubb for the most in the league. Marcus, you think Henry will be able to continue his dominant stretch though against this chiefs defense. Yes, yes, why the hell not, okay? He does it against everybody. Right. And this is what Mike vrabel is going to lean into. Look, I'm going to say this and I haven't talked to anybody. When the Tennessee Titans played the Kansas City Chiefs and this may be a challenge to the Kansas City Chiefs, take it out you will. They feel like they're more physical. And they're the bully when they show up because of all of the explosiveness that Patrick Mahomes and this team has had offensively the beautiful plays that we see how we talk about the creativity of Andy Reid every time I've watched the Tennessee Titans play the Kansas City Chiefs. No, I'm not saying that they're better. They feel like they can bludgeon them at the line of scrimmage. And look, Derek here he has had great days and great games against the Kansas City Chiefs. So I am interested to see what Chris Jones and Frank Clark and that side of the football does when Derek here comes in. You know he's going to touch the ball 20 to 25 times. If not 30, you know what the Tennessee Titans success how they see success as an offensive football team. That's the challenge to Kansas City because Derrick Henry can absolutely keep this game close by them running the football like he does. You know, Keith the chiefs played well in their most recent win versus the forty-niners before the buy, right? What's impressed you about the way their offense has looked? Well, it starts with Patrick Mahomes being able to deliver the football to a number of different receivers, right? Last time they played Tennessee, it was really about Kelsey, tyreek hill. Now you've got to deploy four or 5 different guys that you've got to pay attention to and on the defensive side of the ball. I don't know that Tennessee has that on the back end to be able to match up with them. He's not looking for the home run anymore. He's looking to just distribute the peel all the way around. And when you look at some of the other teams that they obviously beat twice to Indianapolis coach, they beat the Washington commanders. They beat the Raiders. I mean, you know, is this really Houston? Is this really a real challenge for Kansas City? Yeah, I think Tennessee's best defense is going to be its offense in this particular case. And that's Derek Henry, and that's running the ball, and that's controlling the ball in the clock. So you have Patrick Mahomes off the field for the majority of the game. Of course, they're going to need Ryan Tannehill back out there. He was limited in practice today, do that illness due to the injury. So we'll see whether they're not tan hill is able to go on Sunday. Yeah, to everyone's point here about this rivalry kind of between these two teams. The Titans have won two of three games against the chief since Patrick Mahomes became the starter, including that 24.1 last season, the one that mahomes was referencing off the top here. That's the largest laws of his career. Ali foreman. He doesn't like it. Ali foreman. Beautiful boxing against just straight mauling. And the muellers are the Titans. All right. Back to a developing

Mike tannenbaum, the former general manager, former NFL executive appears regularly on many of ESPN studio programs and one of the smarter NFL people I've ever been around. Mike joins us on the program. Mike, I was mentioning this prior to the commercial break. I thought the big winner, one of the big winners yesterday, was two a ton of iloa because at the start of the season, it felt like the dolphins said, if this doesn't go well, we still have some draft picks and we could use that to take a quarterback here. You're going to probably pick up his fourth year, his option here after this next season with what he's doing this year. What do you think the dolphins said about tua without saying anything yesterday? Yeah, Dan, great to be with you. And I completely agree with you. You know, it's interesting when you look at next year's first round, Seattle with Gino Smith playing really good Philadelphia, who has Yale and hers playing well. And then Houston is Detroit. Those are the four teams that have two first round picks. And now Miami is one of 5 teams that doesn't have a first round pick. So I completely agree with you. I think they send a massive message that, hey, two is our guy. And look, let's face it, when he's healthy, he's played well this year. Now, if I'm them, I have to hold my breath a little bit in terms of can he get through the rigors of a 17 game season, I would fortify the offensive line, but clearly when you look at winners in Lewis, losers, I would put two at the very top. Bradley Chubb going to the dolphins and I understand Denver saying all right, we're not going anywhere. We're not going to pay this guy a $100 million, I guess, moving forward. Give me the logic of what Denver did and what Miami is doing. I don't like it for Denver because it sends the wrong message, which is, hey, we acquired Russell Wilson. We should be trying to win as many games as possible. It sends a terrible message that, hey, even though we may have hit on baron browning and shortly Randy Gregory was a big off season acquisition, Bradley chubbs a young really productive pass rusher when he's healthy. So I want to keep those players even if I have to franchise them.

"EPA numbers enhance when Kyle used check is on the field and Shanahan just calls a better game. If you look, Shanahan runs from 12 more when you check is available. Shanahan runs from 11 more when he's not and it's substantially less efficient. Because you check and catch passes. But also within that, the formations are heavy, which again is kind of that decoy formation. Are we running are we passing? Jimmy G's passing EPA is way better when you check is out there as well. And that ability to be multiple and versatile offensively is really the other reason the forty-niners have had success in this series. I mean, you think about the rams defensely. It's like this star studded group where we have three, four really good players. But the way Shanahan runs the offense is he disguises things and because he's versatile, you can call a game where you negate the stars and focus on the 7 or 8 pawns that are out there. That's ultimately been the ace up his sleeve. The thing here on this side of the ball though, you're going to have to keep your I and debo Samuel. Hasn't practiced yet this week, the injury appears to be more than a bump or bruise. The game is certainly vital, but the forty-niners do have a buy on deck. So keep your eyes peeled there. We also saw Trent Williams returned valiant effort, obviously. Not a 100%. So this side of the ball is a little beaten up as well. The rams do get the advantage of the rest and out of the by and have the ability to tweak a few things here. And so that's kind of the element of potential surprise. If there's not out of the buy. It just kind of proves Shanahan's dominance over McVeigh once again. No, I know it's not going to impact the overall handicap of the rams forty-niners game this weekend, but yet again, the rams find themselves linked to a couple of high profile difference makers in the trade market. Do you believe there's a little bit of substance behind the style, whether it be Brandon cooks coming over from Houston or potential edge rusher in the form of Brian burns from Carolina or Bradley Chubb from Denver as the rams look to try and generate a little pressure off the edge in area where they've been extremely deficient so far this year. Since they weren't able to keep von Miller in rams color. It's a really tough question. I would see how this plays out, but obviously the rumors of Bradley Chubb have been strewn about and if Denver loses, you mentioned that fire sale at the top and there's obviously a relationship between the two organizations and they understand a deal was easy to get done last time and so you kind of go back to some of those business partners, right? And so let's see what Bradley Chubb would provide this defense. Brian burns is just a pressure monster, even though some of the sack numbers aren't great. Personally, I don't think the rams are close enough, but I'm sure they believe they are. I'm sure they see themselves getting a little bit healthier. Right, Troy hill should return for this one, which is a nice piece for that unit defensively. And you look at the landscape of the NFC and you're like, this thing's freaking wide open. I get it. I just don't know how good they are. Brandon cooks would be a huge boost to this offense, though. And I understand he's been traded all about. But I think maybe they test the waters and see what van Jefferson brings and you certainly have the locker room that's still open for OBJ. So does it make sense to go that route and give up assets when you can for cooks when you can hopefully get OBJ back at a cut rate in a couple of weeks? Who knows? Yeah, that's the $100 million question. The rams I think to your point see the NFC landscape is being wide open, a chance to defend their conference crown. But even if they're able to go out and fortify their offense or defense in any capacity before the trade deadline, they are still a far cry. From the elite teams in the National Football League, not just in the NFC, maybe in the form of the Philadelphia Eagles, but the heavy hitters that we see in the AFC and the Buffalo Bills and of course the Kansas City Chiefs. Speaking of the bills, we get to see them fresh out of a buy in prime time. Sunday Night as an 11 and a half point favorite welcoming in a struggling Aaron Rodgers Green Bay packer squad. Total on the game 47 and a half. And the bill's pain are seeking their best 7 game start in the franchise since 1993 when they went on to lose in the Super Bowl against the Dallas Cowboys. Meanwhile, Green Bay on the other side of things off to their worst 7 game star with Aaron Rodgers as their starting quarterback. And Aaron Rodgers never been more than an 8 and a half point underdog in his career according to ESPN stats and info 234 career starts includes regular season and the playoffs are the most by any quarterback to never be a double digit underdog in the Super Bowl era. Rogers, however, is owned for straight up, including the playoffs as they touch down or more underdog. Only Tom Brady has a longer distinction and all of that. But the silver lining for Green Bay, maybe you've already hit rock bottom. Maybe Aaron Rodgers can channel some of his prime time mystique that we've seen out there. The last time the packers were a double digit underdog week 12, 2017 at the Steelers with Brett hundley starting at quarterback. We know that the bills are an absolute juggernaut. The defense has exceeded expectations. Josh Allen playing at an MVP like level, which is why he is the favorite to take home that particular hardware. Does Green Bay have any path? I'm not going to say for an outright win, but to keep this game competitive and keep us from turning off the football game before it gets to halftime. The line is probably shocking to some. It certainly was me at first blush. And then I looked at our numbers and was like, okay. Not off at all. And we actually made 7 and a half in value on Facebook here at less than 2000. No, no, no, no. We're at 10.4. I was surprised to see that. And I think it's going to shock some people, but we have the packers power rated worse than an average football team right now.

"Yeah, I don't think this week, in fact, it's not going to happen this week. Nathaniel hecky yesterday, when I asked him about the changes he said right now, it's a short week. It's status quo. Which I took to mean, oh, okay. Well, let's see what happens during the biweek. And if it happens, you know, if this game against Jacksonville is similar to the other games, this slump that they're in. The season launch swamp. I don't know if it's play calling. I don't know if you shake up some of the offensive staff. First of all, Tuesday of next week will be the trade deadline. So there may be a player or two not here. That's here. When we got our luggage, I saw Bradley Chubb, made sure he was here. So we'll see what happens with him. He's the guy that's probably the biggest on the trade market. But as far as far as the offense is to status quo and then what do you do with Russell Wilson? And to me, with the biweek next week and it's a hamstring injury. You know how those get aggravated. It makes sense for them not to play them again this week. And get them nice and healed up and play on the other side against Tennessee. But if you're a 5 and two, it'd be easier to do that instead of two and 5. When you're two 5 and I think all the coaches feel the desperation of needing to win. We'll see what kind of decision they make on Russell Wilson. It's the investigative reporting that sets him apart. He's down and baggage. Checking to see which players made the trip which players didn't they? Did you get a seat or did they make you ship? Did they ship you down in baggage? 'cause they're tired of hearing the complaints from everybody else, Mike. I just kidding around. Yeah, yeah, that's right. We're out among them, you know? And when you go through customs and an international flight like this, you know, it was kind of interesting to see all the Bronco players walking through the concourse of Heathrow. With all the other people, you know, just mingling about. It was a surreal scene because usually they're pretty isolated and sequestered from the rest of the public. That's not how it was here. Go get your bags, guys. And so that was that was actually kind of neat. But we'll see George Payton and them, you know, they stayed back another day or two, maybe maybe fielding some phone calls. I do anticipate the Bronco will be I'm not how active obviously there'll be sellers. They can't be buyers, even if they were had a good record, they wouldn't be buyers because they don't have picks. So, you know, they see what they get for Bradley Chubb, say, because like I say, he's probably the one guy on the team as a trader who can generate a second or a third round draft pick. Mike, cliff, join us live from London. Some teams choose to go in really late in the week and just in and out business trip and they're gone. But the Broncos going in this early. To me, it gives them an opportunity to hang out as a team. Two bond and four a team that has been for a season that's been so chaotic and dysfunctional and very easy for the defense to point the finger at the offense. All this talk from former Seattle teammates about how Russell Wilson is just disconnected from the rest of the team. Boy, it would seem that this is a golden opportunity to really get some good team bonding in this week. Do you get the sense are things scheduled? Are there things planned to try to give the team that opportunity to do just that? Yeah, I agree. It's an opportunity to reset the season. You know, you're getting 8 hour 8, 9 hours away from Denver, Colorado. You're not, you're not, you don't have talk radio. Yes. Beating me up. You know, you're not reading the newspaper. You got to work and finagle a little bit to get the Internet and the cell phone served to work over here. So it can be a team bonding thing. And you know, it is a business trip. I think that's the one thing they've all talked about is this is the business trip. And see if they see how practices go over here. And yeah, I think they do have a chance. I know, from what I understand, there's going to be a nice dinner with the coaches and the players. Coach hack that has that. When they set this thing up, I don't think they were for the full week. I don't think they were thinking that they were going to be two and 5 and then a four game losing streak. And unable to score more than one touchdown a game. Maybe they would have left a little later otherwise, but here they are and they're here all week and they can get away from everything. It's just them over here. So see what they do. See if they can actually play their best game against Jacksonville here. Well, Mike, we look forward to your reporting and coverage and the whole atmosphere over there in London as the Broncos are over there this week. Thank you, Michael. Thanks, guys. "Our good buddy, Mike klis, 9 news Broncos insider presented by Bette river sports. Mike, welcome back to the program. It's Stokely and Zach filling in for Mike Evans, but we're also hanging out with Mark schlier, so we got a triple threat going on. We appreciate your time. How much in the past four or 5 years, it's been a very common thread in terms of a narrative through these Bronco teams that good roster really good defense. Team that's held back by the quarterback. Well, now you got your quarterback. How much do we trust the defensive side of the ball here going into training camp? I think they've taken some hits compared to the compared to the past. One being Bond Miller, you know, the pass rusher that was von Miller was a special talent. And even though he was hurt, he missed a whole season and he never did quite recapture the dominance that he had in the 2015 postseason and some other seasons earlier in his career. That's a significant loss. Randy Gregory, the Broncos got to replace him. You hope Bradley Chubb has a full healthy season for the first time since 2018. I think it starts there as far as how good does defense is going to be is what kind of pass rush. It's obvious that George Payton emphasized the pass rush. She's got all kinds of them now. His first draft pick Nick Benito was a pass rusher. He moved baron browning from inside linebacker to the outside because of his athleticism. He still had Malik read. So it's probably the deepest position now, but is it as good without bond Miller and we'll see about whether it's a healthy Bradley Chubb or not? Yeah, right. And right now Mike, the report has been that Bradley Chubb is healthy and he's talked about feeling better than he's felt in the last several years and it's a load off his mind. Where are you with Bradley Chubb and what kind of production do you need out of Bradley Chubb for this defense to kind of take it to that next level as a pass rushing unit? Yeah, I mean, he wound up with zero sacks last year. He made some impactful plays at the end of the season without getting sacks, but still you need 12 sacks from Bradley Chubb. For this defense to be with your hope and Randy Gregory for all his talent, I think his career high is 6 X, correct. And he's coming off the keys coming off that shoulder surgery. And he's mended. I think they're still going to take them slow, by the way, to start training camp. You might see them on the side that that first week in training camp is they take them back slowly and gradually, but they need ten to 12 sacks out of him. They're paying them 14 million. They're paying Bradley Chubb. I think 13 million this year. I mean, that's 12 that's 12 sack territory. So that's what that's what you're hoping for. And then I think at inside linebacker, I think they're better than people think because of Jonas Griffith. I'm telling you guys the Broncos really like him and he was impactful the last four games made a lot of dynamic plays. The second area I think is going to be how good is how good is the secondary you've got Kareem Jackson at strong safety, who's 34 this year. And you got to shake out that number four cornerback between Michael owes your modia who had a heck of an off season and The Rookie map is. Mike, what do you expect to see from this Nathaniel Hackett slash Russell Wilson offense? Should we see more three, four wide receiver sets? Is it going to be a little bit of the Melvin Gordon javonte Williams? So what should we expect to see from this offense? That's a good question. It's going to be a mesh of both. I mean, Hackett, you know, that white zone Hackett is about running the ball, you know? And Kyle Shanahan, it's from the Kyle Shanahan type of system. Matt Lafleur, that they like to run the ball. At the same time, Russell Wilson is a guy that one reason why he's a Bronco and not a seahawk is he wanted a little bit more freedom to control the offense to have more of an impact on an offense. And so I think there's still, I think there's still working through that. I'm not sure. I think it'll go from week to week, depending on their opponent. I think sometimes you'll see the double tight end and you'll see run run run with the third down, pick up the first down on the past and other times you're going to see the three receiver set. I think a lot of it might depend on KJ hamler. How healthy he is. As far as whether he can get into the slot on a fairly regular basis, 25 to 30 snaps a game. And he could really open up things for that offense. But you look at Green Bay in what they did, it was more, they rained in the number of pass attempts and increased the rushing attempts, but the passing seems to be more impactful. I mean, Aaron Rodgers had more impactful type passes. So I think that's what you're going to see from Russell Wilson in the Broncos this year. Mike, we got a new owner. A lot of talk was, hey, after we get this new owner, maybe next order of business might be extending Russell Wilson, we're in training camps 12 days away or so. Any chance that we get a contract extension for Russell Wilson here in the next couple of months? You know, I don't know where that sits. The way it sits right now is they haven't talked. And so it appears to me and he's still got two years left on his contract. He's going to get a contract extension. It might be it might be after this season. It could be as long as after this season. But we'll see. I think, you know, I don't know how these things flow with these quarterbacks. We're about to get big money. Whether it's done during the season, I would think, I would think it would be difficult now when you have your payroll set when you have your salary cap set, it would be difficult to get a deal done now to finish it. Maybe you start talking now. But it would be difficult to finish it here in the early part of the season. I think you want more flexibility as the season goes on and you definitely address it first thing after the season. I want to squeeze one more here on the way out before we let you go, Mike, Brett, circling back to Bradley Chubb. You mentioned it. Didn't have a sack last year. Literally hundreds literally hundreds of NFL players had a sack last year somehow Chubb did not. He's a 5th overall pick. If he somehow had a big year, do you think instead of resigning chub during the season, we could see the franchise tag used on Bradley Chubb? Yeah, that would make sense because it would be one big year in your scenario. It's one big year after three disappointing years because the injuries. And the fact that he's been banged up, he's now had an ACL surgery and surgery at both ankles. You know, I do think that you would probably be looking at a franchise tag and that scenario. But franchise tags are usually placeholders for contract extensions. So if you're going to go there, you're probably going there with the idea of trying to work out some kind of deal with Bradley Chubb. But let's see, let's see how it goes first, guys. Let's see if let's get him a sack first. Right. And before worrying about his next contract. Great stuff, Mike. We will catch up with you a

"I'm really trying to save this poll question for tomorrow guys. Because i liked the vic fangio stuff. We're talking about today. But you're you're forcing my hand here. Zak stevens will. Maybe he can better put this whole thing into perspective for zak stevens of dnv. Our broncos zach before we get into two in oh teddy bridgewater bradley chubb all that fun stuff. My whole agains are wanting a debate. Here peyton manning or john elway. Why is that what what happened over the weekend. Oh brady i mean that. That's really the sexiest thing to talk about. Because how. how great was it. When the broncos were able to bring back payton or john elway into the organization back in two thousand eleven. How exciting was that. And then what he did after that and it was just so cool for the organization to have a hall of fame quarterback run their team and now the prospect of getting another hall of fame quarterback to be a part of the team for the next multiple. Decades is so exciting. And that's what's going on. Between john elway and peyton manning and brady unsurprisingly they want a piece of the denver broncos both of them do and now neither have been combined. The team outright. Because it's only a couple of billion dollars more than either of those guys have but if an ownership group is formed both of these guys want to be in on one and maybe the figurehead to that And so that's going to add a whole nother wrinkle to this ownership stuff and with with when it comes to the broncos being sold. They're not going to be put for sale until after the season but come on. Let's not be naive here. You know that there's talks going on about okay. Let's form some groups so we're ready the broncos i. It's pretty clear by now that this is not going to stay in brittany bowling It it's not going to stay in the bowl and family. It's going to be sold so now the these talks are being talked about and brady if you could be the figurehead of a group to own the broncos. Why would you not. Yeah no exactly. It's an appealing thing. It's one of not just for broncos fans but one of the most appealing jobs or situations. I should say throughout the country..

"And I'm just looking here. I think the only one of notes was the fact that Bradley Chubb did not practice today with his his ankle. Now he was in uniform and he was out there with his helmet. But he was just off to the side and And did not, um, participate today. I know if that was limited, von Miller was full, as was Alberto Cola. Bonham and Courtland. Sudden as well. I'm looking for a big year out of Alberto. I am looking for a big year out of Alberto. Um, limited by the way for the New York Giants would have been, uh, Szechwan Barkley. He's gonna fall. Dude they had ready to go. They had. Yeah. They had a bunch that were limited on Evan Ingram is the only person who didn't ready to go. He has a calf injury. So he was not a participant today in practice. Um, by the way, the news that came out over the weekend about The Broncos and the quarterbacks in the room, putting a bracelet all in one place and trying to trick the system. Not in one place in separate places. Excuse me separate places while they sat in the middle of the room together. Believe that was. I think that was something that worked really hard against drew lock last year and may have just upset Coach Fangio to the point where he was like I'm not going through this ever again. But when I understand after talking to Ben yesterday about that story, um Blake Bortles is the one who came up with the idea of this is what we should do. But the fact that Drew Followed along and didn't be not wasn't a leader. I I mean, I asked that question yesterday, and that's the right punishment. I got to tell you. That's the right punishment because you tried to game the system. And break the rules in a in the toughest medical conditions that we've ever seen in pro sports. So, um You know, I've said that I said before the start, it was named that it's gonna be hard to forget about not having a quarterback. I didn't know why. The guys were suspended. We're finding that out, man and leading Roger Goodell say how it all happened. And why he didn't explain everything that happened because he didn't want other teams to try to do the exact same thing. I thought, you know what You know, John tried his best to get get the quarterbacks to play and they were not able to play because of them trying to game the system. It wasn't anonymous, Honest mistake. It was a calculated Mistake that they paid dearly for, and I knew it was going to be huge consequences. And, you know, bringing Teddy Bridgewater in here? Uh, when they first brought him in here, I said he was brought here to start. I was not wrong. Hey, Coop. How did we end up yesterday? With our with our pick them. I forget who I think Alfred got the White Sox because I know BK picked form yesterday, Al went one and one You and I went one on one and Dragon window into Nice to know Where. Where Nice. Nice. Appreciate it. Nice. Hey, you know what? Tomorrow. We get to pick NFL football. It's one of us does. I'm just well, actually, what we all do on Thursday nights, we all get to pick the same game. Oh, no. That's right. Is that we worked that out Monday. Um, By the way, did we start out? Pick them tomorrow? We do. We do. Oh, we We got some. We got something on this, right? Uh, absolutely. As a matter of fact, I had to break off and pay Ryan Edwards for winning. Pick them last last year. I paid him yesterday. How much was the total? Um why owed him? Well, everybody was in for 20. But then, remember, I staked a rod. Oh, that's right. So I had to pay 20 for him, too. So I went ahead and got that yesterday. Can we start those? Uh, those, uh, get that chatter going to by the way there is. Listen, I enjoy her. What I said, don't don't look over your smiling. Just tell you I enjoyed you paying me last year. Uh, can I just say this though? You but you Jo Jo, you might be the only person that I'll pay. But there are a lot of people out there and I wouldn't be surprised if error became money. Who else? Supposedly Ryan Edwards said You owe him money. Albright. I don't know anybody else. Money. Actually, Albright said you owed handsome cheddar yesterday. What What do I owe Albright? Hello. Please say oh, bright When you say Albright to add the extra Ellison all the males he's taken, Um And they have Albright. Anything I'm talking about. Think he said You owed him some Cheddar 100% yesterday on the show. Yeah, Of course he would when I wasn't here. Yeah, uh, this is ridiculous. Well, uh, can I get Can I get a judo? I'm just saying I would watch out. Hey, listen, I enjoyed you Pay me last year. I'll enjoy you paying me again this year. I mean, do we have do we have everything rolling? It was bro. Come on. I mean, golly, I'm feeling so I feel like I know this league better this year than I have in a long time and all the things that happened last year that were good for a lot of offensive lines. Probably won't be the case this year because those crowds they're back and they're going to be as rowdy as ever. So if you had an idea about somebody playing great last year because Uh of maturity. In how does bradley chubb fit in when the broncos desire to select bradley chubb with the fifth pick in the twenty eighteen draft thought. The team would pile up. Sachs's von miller in chubb tear ross quarterbacks for years to come in twenty eighteen the two did combined for twenty six point five sacks but due to injuries over the past two seasons. The pair hasn't even played in the same game since week. Four twenty nineteen Wind chop toys. Acl against the jaguars. Miller then missed a last season with an ankle. Tendon injury He suffered just days before the regular season opener. Miller has attacked the off season In wants to prove that you know he's still dominate dominate. Game altering player. He has been during his career. Chubb had ankle surgery this off season but he is expected to be full in ready to go at the start of the regular season. A healthy miller shove should have enough time to get the quarter two quarterbacks with the you know the secondary being as good as it is true behind him a really making the coverage in not given the quarterback demi options But that being said people should possibly fear the denver broncos and their defense especially everyone here in the afc west. Somebody may be to worry. Kansas city chiefs and i mean the only thing that they would have to worry about is. What's going on. Ed receiver who who's number two receiver after the chiefs have lost any watkins. Creating the chiefs. Edison significant office of threat. E- season since quarterback. Patrick mahomes became the starting quarterback Beginning with watkins back in twenty eighteen in followed by meco harman and then clawed was hilar- But that street ended this year at occurred at a curious time since the chiefs have nobody proven to replace watkins at number two Receiver behind hill. Harmon is the leading candidate. As i always speak about me. Garmin in you know. Don't sleep on him but it takes a leap of faith to believe he can handle the job of the chiefs have largely resisted. Giving him more playing time. The past two seasons when walking's had been in the lineup Mahomes has seemed frustrated with harmony at times particularly during last season. Super bowl is if he wasn't making the right routes or catches so he may not be unless they made some makeup this off season. It didn't make them work together. Especially nico hard on making it happen. So that's the way. I see that really being a match made in heaven but the thing is whoever it is really going to step up Because three kill definitely going to be covered. Don't get me wrong. I mean if we're just talking about one in to pass options clearly just to repeal and Charges kills but Yet they're going to know the receiver to step in there for sure. Laws big raiders is. It's make or break season for. Derek carr where it is. Derek carr stand to be fair. Car has never publicly complained about his Station with the raiders He claimed he would probably quit football than play for another team. Saying he'd rather go down with the ship If he had to but he in his own trade value with you know decree But with the contract situation car in search of another extension might be entering a make or break season firm if they wanna give it to them even if he's coming off of a career high passing yard year before thousand one hundred and three passer rating with one zero one point four antonio. Qbr seventy one is best year But may not be enough to make a change. Because you can have that but you know when you're records eight in a row hard to pay the guaranteed money In the fifth in a five year one hundred twenty five million dollars extension. He signed a twenty. Seventeen is all paid out. And he's answering. Ghetto is entering a year. You know the the final year of the deal and a re-imagined offensive line in the wake of sinner. Rodney hudson right guard gave jackson at right tackle. Trent brown all became all being a traded away. Offers a hint of apprehension I don't wanna say is technically make a break. But as far as where. The raiders moved next year for quarterback. I think does play. A part is going to have to be some some flexibility here for sure The los angeles chargers would this quarterback justin herber need to do to build on his rookie season. While i mean the kid did fine. I mean i get a new coach though. So that's something yesterday just to is going to be like a rookie season almost again Has weapons that you have. But i mean he's going to make a change. On what school boards as be honest On his incurs i mean he can't play defense But we've been told that. Herbert has been working extremely har- in his first real off season after cove in nineteen democ made last off season completely. Virtual he's a exceptionally smart is what they say. He was an academic heisman winner. and dedicated to becoming great after setting. You know his rookie record in the nfl. With thirty one touchdown passes last. Season is learning another new system after you know chargers coaching change. But you know his office. Coordinator joe lombardi has been impressed. herbert needs to have a system down to the footwork to the calls and release it a ball before the season starts to really hit the ground running. He didn't have in in person off season last year as i mentioned so. He's hungry ready to build on that. Four thousand three hundred thirty six ers season all right. I'm excited for. They look tune in to see what happens over there for sure. Nfc east oh dallas cowboys have so many questions but one that's lurking really hot right now is will running back. Ezekiel elliott rebound from superb sub. Par season last year. There's no way to sugarcoat but He didn't play in twenty after leading the league in rushing It was far from what was expected in made. You know worse by A high price contract that he got He had a career low ninety. Nine hundred.

Los Angeles Chargers safety Derwin James expected to miss 2020 season after knee injury, per reports
"The Los Angeles chargers. Yeah we mentioned. Like the the injuries like Nick, for instance it. Bradley. Chubb is such a mystery right now, there's more mysterious injury situations around the league than I think we know there's less reporting, but Derwin James is injury on Sunday. We know know the extent to it but I know that it's the most caught or I think it's the most costly time injury that there's been since camp started. Because I think he brings out the best in the coaching staff getting to be more creative. This is a bad defense with a lot of talent last year they weren't in the top twenty most efficient defenses. A lot of good players. Yeah. No they didn't have Derwin James, but that's pretty disappointed. He unlocks the cornerbacks you know he he unlocks his tactic partner ratio Jenkins who played really well. I just think he's such a unique special talent losing James is devastating for this defense in it's GonNa put a little more pressure on their offense in tyrod the score some points because I don't think you can count on them being top five upside defense when Derwin James is not on the phone I don't like that term more pressure on tyrod Taylor to Scorpions I know that everyone is fascinated with tyrod Taylor right now it's plain out and it's not fair to him, but it's almost. I think it's like a little bit of the hard knocks after I know. I, mean, it's just that's what happened in Cleveland what a leader what a guy and I think he is, and I think the coaching staff really loves Anthony. Lynn loves tyrod Taylor the person in wants Tim to be functional but the problem is tyrod. Taylor stops being fun about three weeks from now and then you got a rookie quarterback that when. Coaching them. He did he had some moments to be fair when he was in Buffalo In Buffalo yes. Not In Cleveland and I just think that there was I don't know come on. I, mean Austin to me is the centerpiece on that offense I believe in until the end but they're wide receiver right now back he's not but look at their wide receiver position. So what how do you WanNa talk about scaring the defense with a mobile quarterback, but they can't do anything they had said they're gonNA. They're immobilizing how how versatile they can be through the air. I think it's a rough place for Justin. Herbert. To get starts early to I, don't like that at all.

Who Will Be the Broncos Defensive MVP in 2020?
"Said we do have a poll question up right now at KOAA Colorado on Twitter who will be the Broncos defensive MVP in twenty twenty von Miller drill Casey Bradley Chubb Justin Simmons right now von Miller winning this poll Bradley Chubb is you're right there so pretty close I voted for Bradley Chubb by the way okay I voted for Justin Simmons the only because he sees the field the entire the entire season and I I really think you even thinking badly troubled well they they see the field was a ninety percent just the same as a hundred percent I mean pretty much yeah so I mean we're we're splitting hairs I I actually think there's argument for all all four of them I think there is I think you'd even throw in like I said Kareem Jackson I think we can have a argue about Todd Davis will likely leave we can at least leave the team in tackles there's there's there'll still be harassed kit comes away with with big plays batted passes I mean there's there's probably argument for anyone of these guys yeah other then then yeah I I could totally understand that just and you know he's good for the show and you know I enjoyed enjoyed talking to him from time to time but I'm not you know I I look at and and you know we're all big fans Justin Simmons B. last year before all this went down I was like he's going to become a household name by the end of season sort of maybe all pretty but you know I look at these guys and I'm just for my own personal thing and they have a bounce back season knowing how Bradley Chubb is is kind of Courtland Sutton on the defense enters the attitude work ethic all that kind of stuff and he was where it was interesting get to talk to both those guys a buffalo wild wings last year because it felt like it was kind of a new unified narrative between the two you know Courtland brother has sent a lot of the same things very similarly it's interesting because they're off the side of the ball so it's it's it would it was kind of fascinating to you know to see two guys have the same approach would be different sides of the ball that aren't necessarily in the same same meetings and

First Take
Hour 2: Mel Kiper Jr's NFL draft predictions
"Mel kiper junior into the show. What's up melt? Hey, guys, how you doing? Good. All right. So number one overall. Mel you have Nick Bosa going to the cardinals. You've heard the things cliff Kingsbury has said about collar Murray, he's a big fan. But he's also said Josh Rosen is our guy. So how confident are you about the cardinals going Bosa at one do guys with a mock draft you call around and you get different opinions. You try to build some type of a consensus. Steve drafted Josh Rosen. I thought he held his own for getting no help you seems like the players in that locker ROY believe in him you move forward. Josh Rosen would have a higher grade than any quarterback in this draft. If you go basically apple apple, and you try to reject a year with a year experience where they would be. But I think they're happier with Josh Rosen than they would have been a quarterback including Tyler Perry. Tyler Murray is still five nine five ten and size body type or still some things at the combine and pro day, and he's going to have to answer to give up on Josh Rosen and go that direction. I don't see it happening based on the people have spoken to. So I went with both. Over Josh Allen. That's going to be the debate the trait outta there. Do you tape boasts Allen right now, it seems like Bosa may be the lead who knows internally with their thinking. But trading out of there for team. Let's go out and get Askins. Maybe something maybe interested in listening to Mel. I'm very surprised by that draft. Order Nick Bosa is the is the foolproof, right? He's going to be a stud, but people felt that way about Nick last year. Sorry, Bradley Chubb last year, he's the best Pash rusher by so much you might as well, get them. There question marks about everyone including including. Cleveland Browns quarterback acre Mayfield, including Gregor Mayfield. Sam darnold everyone. So they're going to go, Bradley choke with not only didn't go Bradley Chubb. They went to the talented quarterback, you know, out of the big twelve who they had questions about right? Isn't that Keiler Murray this year, and isn't Nick Bosa basically, Bradley up? Well, Trump had a great year and shove ended up going to a team that utilize him and put him out there with Miller and he's a tremendous player. Tremendous young man, he's going to have a huge future and the ratio that I think when taken the war, Denzel word overcharged was what Cleveland was kind of debating there. Do you take the corner the pass rusher and put him opposite Garrett? They thought Ogbeh would come on. He didn't. But that was a decision obeyed word played well till he got hurt. I think we look at at Murray Murray is different in that he's five nine and a half. He's not six foot and a half to twenty like Baker Mayfield was and is I think that body type when you think about we've never seen before we've seen Baker Mayfield types. Okay. Before we haven't seen Cuyler Murray fight go this SARS, no conflict Kyle Murray. Guys. There's none. So I think we've talked. The number one pick four pick even a first round pick for that matter. I've at thirteen to Miami you've never seen this ever happened before. So I think some answers may become at the combine when you see him as he looked like he can hold up. It looks those guys in the eye. Does he looked like an NFL quarterback putting on a board? You know, it's football IQ should be really good the hand size people. Always look at that nine is that is that there you can do it or you can't will see hand size with collar Murray comes in at so still some things that'd be determined the answers. I got back from that question. This week is was leave Cuyler Murray at thirteen don't move him up that seems to be fair for right now in the process is that you say that Mel just this morning. We learned we got some news. Peter King was speak into Lincoln Riley, the coach at OU, and he said that ninety one percent of the past column Murray through from the pocket while at OU last season ninety one percent of this passes were from floor from Nepal. So when you look at him in comparison to Dwayne has its handicap that us was break that down. What makes? What one quarterback better than the other for the next level in light of that ninety one percent there column, right? That's a great point. Because I think you look at how do you compare? I don't remember one man's L came out. I said he's a wild card even out liar. I don't know what he's going to be Baker Mayfield. Last year was the wildcard big three. We knew it was Josh Allen Sam darnold. Josh Rosen maker Mayfield was the wild card this year the wild card again is Kyle Murray. So you compare him to Haskins asan's as a traditional guy. Everybody knows what you're getting there. Even though he was one year as a starter. We don't know we're hoping I think if you draft him say at thirteen or wherever in the first round, you hope that today's NFL okay with the shotgun so deep getting that shotgun snap not under center, basically in space Todd mcshane's but talking about the statute great set more passes batted down for six foot and over quarterback than six foot and under quarterbacks like Cuyler Murray. So today's NFL makes this happen. It's kind of the perfect storm for him coming out at the right time and the right situation. So there's going to be able to protect his body. He can slide. We know that we know how lightning quickie. Yes. That is in the back. Of his Eddie senses things that nobody else. Can't you mentioned the pocket of build? That's underrated part. He will sit in that pocket. He will wait he'll go through progressions. And he's tremendously accurate. His completion percentage. Was right. Where Mayfield was and he accounted for more touchdowns this season. The Baker Mayfield did during his great year two seasons ago. So I said three months ago collar Murray six foot tall five eleven. It's no discussion. He's the number one pick. But at five nine and a half, it makes it interesting. So let's go to the other quarterback that people are talking about many projected to the giants including you at sixth Wayne Haskins. You said something interesting to me earlier, you said that that Sam darnold. Did you say Sam darnold would've sorry? Josh Rosen would've graded out as the best quarterback in this draft to me Dwayne Haskins looks like a better prospect than Josh Rosen or even probably Sam darnold does not as mobile as Sam darnold. How what do you think of where does Haskins rate and all this? Why wouldn't you give him a great underwear? Josh Rosen was less. Year. Well, they were better quarterbacks coming out. I think that those guys were elite we had talked to years ago about those guys even before they were in the draft that they would have come out earlier. They would have been highly. They were they were considered special. And they said back in August prior to those kids coming out last year that in August that it wouldn't set up well for those and they were Josh Allen, Los everything around them. Sam darnold loss a lot around him. And Josh Rosen was that UCLA where they didn't have a ton of talent. So it wasn't set up for those guys to live up to all the hype in terms of the numbers and the way they were expected to take over and dominate gains and be spectacular. So people were kind of wondering over radium. No, you weren't there. Great quarterbacks. And I thought the people in the league is that these guys this year be thankful if you're those teams you got those quarterbacks they're better and every team in the first round from Lamar Jackson won the Baker and everybody in between those guys are thrilled to have. And they don't have to worry about this Dwayne Haskins a one year starter. That's it. And he had a little trouble struggles rowing the Penn State game. But I like the fact he got better. He learned a seems like he's going to be all in to be a quarterback. He loves the challenge and the pressure that comes from being a quarterback. But so criticism of him to say those guys better those guys were considered super elite and special entities for a two year period. So that's not a critique Dwayne Haskins or or taking a shot. Joe Dwayne Haskins on that's a fair thing to say those three. And then you throw Baker Mayfield John Dorsey number one. Look what happened. He emailed that pick. They can own that division for the next ten years because of this draft and because of getting Baker Mayfield Bubills love Josh ninety five and five they weren't a games. He started to finish. You can Nate Sam darnold. Look what he did in the last month of the season. Look around more Jackson games. He wants those teams guys are thrilled that they know they got the right quarterback for a long long time. And hopefully for Baltimore. Lamar Jackson the passing has improved. But from from winning, and the attitude they're all in on the March access by those teams are really happy where they are right now quarterback

Fantasy football - NFL Week 1 inactive players - injury updates
"AM fantasy football frenzy. Followed by NFL game day ESPN's NFL game day with. Fred Hubner and Steve mongo McMichael teased it second down and goal from the six slot. White ruffle takes the shotgun. Snap again. Shoulder baldwin. All right. So Doug Baldwin all preseason long. We heard about the knee injury that was lingering. And whether or not he was going to be anything more than eighty eighty five percent this year while I don't know if he was just playing possum during the preseason. Because all reports this week were good and positive. I know people the one thing you always have to do with a grain of salt is take the reports that you read in hereabouts and wait until you actually see it play out on the field. Now if Doug Baldwin proves that he's good old reliable Doug Baldwin. Then no worries. You might have yourself quite a bit of a value in terms of where you were able to steal him in your draft. But I will say against the Denver Broncos mile high stadium today, I would be a little bit reluctant to go ahead and start Doug Baldwin because the Broncos they edit Bradley Chubb, they now have those dynamic edge rushers that they had when they won the Super Bowl. Obviously Chubb in the plainly DeMarcus ware role while von Miller. Lying the von Miller role. Just like he didn't that Super Bowl year? So the Broncos presents a pretty stiff d for Seahawks today, and I would be a little reluctant to start Doug Baldwin today. I kind of want to see it out in the field. Make sure that he's completely one hundred percent before I go ahead and just lock him into my lineup. That said though, it kind of depends upon your option and Pat in lumbered has that dilemma, and so let's see what he's got Pat,
