"System. Making wanted to come in new. This is why this is safe is really important. Though from. i can't deny it. Yeah but normally normally is never going to know everything. We just talked about Typical normal mainstream users are never gonna notice anything. They're gonna keep getting windows updates if they have unsupported hardware they they could have a t. Pm chip on their pc this on naval. They'll never even know that. That's the sad reality like it's just what's going to happen and re realistic. Look i. we're enthusiasts. We always went the new shiny bobble. I got that a god. It's a disease. I haven't but the reality is windows. Ten is excellent. So if you're going to keep us nothing for five more years i is. We have not sent to personal. Hell here it's not windows eight. It's okay and all those the app updates that coming down the pike. Whatever they are. They're all took us ten. So you still going to have a fresh thing going on. I so correct me. If i'm still all you're not getting is centered start menu and rounded corners. And maybe at some point in the android store in the microsoft. Well yeah there are certain. Isn't that even gonna come to windows ten. I thought they said it was the android because the map right. That's going to be but windows. Support substrate be the android subsequent. You're the only minor things that windows ten won't users won't get that refresh paint up because that's built an app right or the. I know like the new stepping tool. Or whatever like the minor things I the big appeal of windows ten to an average user and really stretches the limit here as you know the enhanced. Visuals i think are pretty. I think most people would probably like oh. It's nice effect packages. I'm here for a lot of accusers. Saying oh now he's windows. Which is sure says a lot about mac use about the android apps absolutely Isn't it i mean. Yeah right We're gonna take a little break you. When you say that star doc will almost certainly provide a utility that will give you the updates. You say that. With some knowledge. Because a certain person. I i do have that. "Fun house better news yet or no you know Everybody wanted to ask you about steve's rant because he ranted i mean he. Steve obviously knows more about this than i ever will We'll ever care through for that matter but I'm just confused by this. Because like i said from a high level i look at microsoft and and what we talked about windows in the terry myerson days. The is your team control. The kernel that always made sense to me. Those with the adults in the children had control of the ui that made sense to me because they were young. Fresh out of college and blah blah blah. Whatever that's fine This part of microsoft to me is the adult side. And it's the the side that should be doing the right thing and i expect them to. I think they do most of the time. it's just. It's confusing when something like this happens. I just don't. I literally have no. I don't even know what to think. I don't it just doesn't make sense. Yeah yeah Did you preach stevenson off. Skis story of he. Oh you gotta read this This is not in your notes. But i had to. I had to throw this in I know you're not big fans of ski. The title We've we've done the rollercoaster with steve's ness. The title of this is It's from his hardcore. Software dot learned shipping dot. Com is a Chapter forty two clipping clip the f. ing clown so others this danjaq real quick the fact that he has gotten the clip. And it's a chapter forty two. The the first thing you need to know about this is Get to the point is But he has he has I don't know where he got it. He has a transcript of a interaction with bill gates talking about clip. That i think you would so enjoy. We'll look. I've always known. I'm gonna have to eventually go and read this. Because i'm gonna have to. Debunk it and that will be a six month project that we're ruined my life. They will get to this. So we'll say go ahead. I'll read it and then you can ski writes in early discussions. We attempted to explain how we had learned from the abysmal. Failure of microsoft bob and that we had a plan at one point. The conversation turned from stepping through a complex task. Excel to bill gates bringing us to tears and playing back. He heard there were both tears of joy and tears of pain and when something like this demo the assistant will then appear and offer each step and sequence to create a chart as the user interface does today. But it'll be more friendly and approachable and have easy access to help content bill. So when i want to create a chart the clown will pop up and say i'm here to help and not not that clown bill assistant the clown pops up and then i'm like clicking on the clown insane clown next next clown next or something like that to create a chart The system is just a more approachable and helpful version of the same number of clicks and steps. You always had next next next and pretty soon. I just want the f. clown to get out of the way by the way. So did everyone else. Bill was right. Yep i sat in the front row at the office. Two thousand and three launch where they killed cliquey and the person sitting next to me was jeff bezos. He's still had hair and There was some kind of amazon immigration officer. Knows what it was. But that's what was that job guard. Free did the voice of god remember. You couldn't make clipping nor knowing thought so all my beer and then that clip you outfit was worn years later by. Brad sam's at Upset so bill. He's writing often. Had these routines are short skits. He would play out over and over if you were the target. It was painful the first couple of times and it was for show for other attendees. Then you had to assert yourself. This is one of those to the entire rise. Ultimate fall of the idea of an animated character agent which he referred to as a clown this pattern complete with the escalating high pitched frustrated. Bill g. voice would make an appearance. I lost track of how many times he ridiculed the feature this way so by the way i flew. This is probably months ago. But i came across a charlie charlie rose. Yeah charlie rose interview bill gates. And i wanna say nineteen ninety six or seven somewhere in there right around the whole internet shift timeframe and there's a lot of stuff about bill gates obviously. There's some problems there. But listening to him listening to him predict the future accurately by the way listening to how honed in he was on every single thing. The company was doing where they were going. What reach product. I will say this for all of that guy's problems. Oh he was. He sought clip exactly correctly right. The guidelines. this book is the one who pushed it through emitted happened. They added it to windows. It was a disaster cage. Was right about this from day one. That's i don't think that's the point of chapter forty two. What have you said it was. But that is literally forty right. I was run again. Vise away insight in the name of the internal implicate implementation of the assistant is t. f. c. four the clown that is good and everyone knows. Of course that is now ex. Wife was the person who visited. There's a microsoft bought. It's worth reading this because there is a clip from a newspaper. The washington post showing bill introducing bob and in the front row. Melinda french I she was already married to him at the time. This is from Cas in two thousand nine hundred ninety five. Look it bob. It's new electric bunt buddy. This to this came out right around the same time as windows. Ninety five maybe right after windows ninety five and it was a windows three one. You know it's You know everything about this product was wellbeing well intentioned and ill-fated yeah and of course synopsis keeping sadowski. He makes a Impassioned plea for why. "Twit It's open to everyone worldwide. And it's been a lot of fun. It's been really great. Mary jo foley is in there by the way. She's in the discord responding to people. Thank you. We didn't do our discord. Qna today. but. I think we're running long enough after we debated the fate of windows. Eleven points. no no no no. It's time for mary. Jo take a few seconds. Oh days of the week. It's been a while since you've had a good all out. War between microsoft and other cloud vendors aired out publicly like showing their dirty laundry in public. But we're having one right now. It's involving sap who is one of microsoft's biggest and titus partners and everybody else so i think it was two weeks ago. I saw an article somewhere that said Microsoft an sap kind of does personally dissolving their packed and they. They're connected in many different ways with marketing packs and sales paxson. Sap says microsoft preferred cloud for a lot of different reasons and a lot of different workloads but This article said that that sap quietly starting to sell google cloud to customers and not azure. So i was like. I wonder and then microsoft of course deny and saying the person from sap you said this didn't know what they were talking about And then another article came out. Saying sap is now going with customer choice and not telling them they should use azure as as their preferred cloud Instead they should just like customers you know. Pick what they want and they'll just build on top of any cloud any of the big public clouds. So again i was like i don't know. Is this really happening or is this. Just wishful thinking. Well today microsoft kind of confirmed it makes up. Put out a blog post entitled. Why customers including sap choose asher for their sap solutions. And it's a whole as this is awesome microsoft defending. Hey sap loves us. They love so much their own. It department uses asher Here's a list of all our giant customers. That use azure There's a pie chart. Sap customers bradley favor. Microsoft azure with asher being forty seven percent of the pie and google cloud twenty one and eight s only eighteen But yeah it's it's funny to see this all kind of coming to a head now because a lot of people are asking me like what is going on with microsoft sap. I don't know how many of you are old enough to remember this. But microsoft actually tried to buy sap back around two thousand four or so and so ever since then they've swapped executives and Done a lot of joint partnerships joint sales joint this joint that and so it feels like ever since julia white over there. Like there's been a little unraveling and i'm not blaming julia white kind of an interesting. Why my hating on julia white not. I'm not actually of i. Like i love julia. Wait i was sad when she went to sap But yeah it's it's a little interesting to see this because you know all of the cloud vendors. They loved to claim you know so and so says were their preferred cloud which is kind of meaningless thing. Anyway it just means yeah as we're not their exclusive cloud. We're just one of the clouds that they might happen. Recommend a little more than the other clouds But yeah i. I love these battles. They're always fun. And and it's fun to watch the back and forth and tit for tat and we'll see we'll see who fires the next salvo. Maybe google put something like why. Sap loves the google cloud most companies that are multi homed right. Everybody's multi cloud narrates. It was funny. Wouldn't want anybody claims. Like oh everybody's all in on blah only use us exactly yes What is sap's business They are big aarp e. crm price up giant enterprise salesforce their salesforce competitor but even oracle. Yeah then salesforce and finally not finally second to finally ultimately the codename week. Yes okay so. I did a couple of weeks ago. Cherry hill as the coding piccola. Week which i said. At the time i thought it was something around like the user experience for sun valley And now today we have another one to add to this weird. Mix of mishmash of codenames right. So zach boden overt window. Central said in response to the walking cat on twitter. Who was asking about some codenames. He said well. There's also this codename called fire. Steel and wire steel is supposed to be the microsoft tool for building. Cherry hill experienced ges for sun valley very convoluted very and then. Brad sam's our friend in the bunny suit chimed in and said yeah in fact there's gonna be a cherry hill store and a cherry hill this and a cherry hill. That and i'm like oh so. Cherry hill is definitely like the u x piece of sun valley. And then i. I don't know who said this next. They said yeah and everything is red. I guess because of cherry hill. But i'm like what does that mean. Red design or what. I don't know there are all these crazy codenames floating around and you know because it's panels. There's probably multiple codenames for different things to try to catch the leakers Beyond the newest one. I hadn't heard till today was fire. Steel which is the tool used internally. I don't think i would leak that name if i were you. Sounds like you're getting a little close to the source this is what's wrong is that we're maximum. I don't know. I know it's in my head but i don't remember who sang chat room. Please a little help here little health. Who saying we are the fire. Is it bonnie tyler. Is it No is it I think it's called fire and steel. I think it's chris rea-. I don't know i know this bad. It's obscure such as you said we're all the song but i can't Beer time the pick of the week so so before the show started today some people in the discord saying the most disappointing thing about windows. Weekly is the beer picks. Because because because i love the sound of all the beer picks and i can't get that is disappointing. It's frustrating disappointed. It is disappointing. Frustrate work so as i said discord. I'm trying to pick beers. That are a certain style. So even if you can't get the exact beer. I'm telling you you can at least look for the style of beer and today is a good example of that. Today's beer pick is transmitter. Which is a new york city. Brewery t one triple a belgian triple a lot of different breweries in the us and other countries make belgian triples magnet and steel officer. Again walter.
Microsoft Drops Windows 10X Before It Ever Launched
"Microsoft had been touting this windows ten x for awhile the next version of windows it's gonna be. We're going to rewrite it from scratch. We're gonna we're gonna components. Is it and make it more robust and more reliable and and it's going to be for our new dual screen devices. The duo in the neo except then the duo came out and it was an android phone. What hey what and didn't sell that will cause was fifteen hundred dollars. I bought one in took it back because it was just not. It's just it wasn't a great phone you know if you're using it as a phone it's gotta be good phone first and foremost now. It looks like according to. Brad sam's over at petrie breads this guy with good sources that the neo is probably not gonna happen Which is disappointing to me because it was very cool nor is the windows. Ten x the special version of the rewritten from scratch beginning of time version of windows. Tha when the new next generation of windows microsoft will not be shipping windows. Ten x this year says brad this year being twenty twenty one and the oh as you know it today. We'll likely never arrive. He writes for about a decade microsoft. Have been trying to modernize windows in various ways. Put on problems with windows. I think some would say this is one of the good things about windows is it Doesn't abandon the history of the past. It's still runs software. That came out twenty years ago. It which is a great labor on microsoft's part to make that work. Furthermore impacts stability security a lot of things. But they're you know hell bent to keep a windows compatible with everything that ever worked with windows.

Yes but also look at how much this validates the hololens as a business microsoft says the contract could be worth up to twenty one point. Eight billion dollars over ten years. Think of all those years and billions of dollars spent on moon shots over at google and in one fell swoop. Microsoft has been like yeah. Hold our beer as brad sam's tweeted and just like the rnd costs for this product have been more than recovered and quote and something tells me if these things prove useful we could eventually see way more than one hundred and twenty thousand units ordered quoting cnbc. This deal follows a four hundred and eighty million dollar contracts microsoft received to give the army prototypes of the integrated visual system or es in two thousand eighteen. "The reviews are out for the Microsoft duo android dual screen phone don't call the phone, but it's also not a tablet. I don't know. It's a thing. Here's what we're seeing in aggregate I. Think the top line is best put by atom. Ismael over at Tom's guide the Microsoft do he says is exciting and maddening all at once that seems to summarize what reviewers are. Saying on the pro side, all of them like that, it can do to upset once in a way, no other device can't side-by-side on two different screens like having multiple monitors. But in a smaller device, they liked that you can use android phone apps. This is not a tablet. So you're not dealing with a lack of tablet optimized APPs because it's a phone size screen. It's got great battery life everyone raves how pretty this thing is it's a beautiful design while manufactured thin and light opinions vary on how much productivity benefited has but pretty much everybody seems to think it made them at least feel more productive. If not actually be more productive, it does have a learning curve to get there though the software that was designed for it mostly. For Microsoft does seem to work. Well, the hinge got praise from multiple reviewers for being sturdy and allowing for those good orientations like ten view for for watching video or holding in your hands like a book sports, Microsoft Pen and lots of people praise the screen Nice. Sharp screens dual five point, six inch lead. But here, the cons everybody agrees too expensive for what you get. Thousand Three hundred ninety nine dollars for a phone that doesn't have NFC Wifi six wireless charging expandable storage five G. or stereo speakers is too much everybody pan the camera actually there one or two people think the camera was that bad but most people pan the camera it's eleven megapixel Webcam on a smartphone camera in fact I think it was the verge who said you just call it a Webcam and it would have been fine. Buggy laggy. Software was a complaint not enough APPs that support the dual screens was a complaint. You can't use it with one hand because it's so wide even when it's folded up and that learning curve man, it involves Microsoft gestures on top of android gestures of which seemed intuitive to the reviewers Mary Jo. Foley. said, it could replace an e reader in her opinion it was great for that was mixed on. Brad Sam's at Petrie said quote for those who have been waiting for years for a surface PDA your day.

Here's Excalibur is the codename of the SOC in the coming, arm based surface, pro and windows central. Here's the device, itself, may be code named Excalibur, but it does sound like Microsoft is getting more serious about coming out with surface devices that are not just Intel based. When we could be this fall as part of the fall October expected surface launch might be after that. I even heard speculation from a couple of people that they could be working on us in Taurus device type device that has arm in it as well. So HP releasing arm the envy to, but Microsoft ever, do an arm, or no? Right. Okay. Williams. Yep. Only williams. Just a couple little Novo one..

"See here. Right. So they can show things that might be targeted at the next generation spec. But technically running on a PC because all these games will become into PC, Brad SAM's, who was a reporter on Microsoft's reports all the time. Side. When I reported that halo infant would be shown on PC. Okay. And also, we're kind of expecting halo infinite at this point to be a next generation game or at most like a split. Gin game of some kind. But we don't know based on the night show booking and based on some stuff they've been kind of signaling for some time now like there's two four two discussions to be had. There's the photo rise and four discussion which seems to imply that they're gonna have another year of DLC there. And then there's the future of discussion, which I have to guess is going to be the hey we're launching the next console with a Forza game. Because cars are pretty. So I'm guessing we won't get a motor sport until twenty twenty that would make sense back, it would be insane to ship of proper new Forza motorsport in the last year of the old council. Right. Totally. And they were toying. They launched the x with. Was it can't remember it was seven sports? Yeah. Was it out? Or was it a four K update for already been eight for that enforce arise? They were already already pushing like photographic jury in some pretty highfalutin nexgen stuff with the last four already look pretty good. Like that is their tech showcase. Yeah. Sure. But it seems likely that they'll have something. Seems likely that will be the fourth story. So I think you can't tell that story unless you're talking about it in context of an X generation piece of hardware. But also, if you wanna talk about footage to demo what a next generation console looks like it is far. That works every time. Here's what grants reasonable looks like running like a car people know what cars look like people know how round the fucking tires. Get these will be even more rounded touch. Very wet. Yeah. Area, what like attire going through. If they do that show water splashing up slow motion. I don't know. I don't know what you do with that point. Like these games already. Look of mystic. Right already Ron. So you've been able to run them at four K stuff. Like, all right. Well, what are you doing next? So I don't even know cars of billion cars, the billion of hours. Okay. All right. Pretty good track. Mania. Yeah. So I think we'll see some stuff along those lines and that I think makes sense for how they will probably talk about the console. Right is like they'll have some things to say about it. They'll probably talk roughly about the specs the talk about their plans for streaming. But based on the most recent reporting, they are very close to knowing what final specs or if they're not there already. They would almost have the point of the chip design is done in fabricated. They're just testing like, hey, what right? What are the clock speeds? We can hit safely on this thing now. So like they could have stuff running on PC's that they think are close to that. Right. And basically say here's an action game. Yeah. And I got that would that would probably enough information for developers to at least get going. Now, if they aren't already going on games that they're targeting for the next PlayStation, and XBox, so, so they could have something to show there. Yeah. I think they have I think they will I get to be a ton, but I think they will. They will have some kind of rendered footage of thing running. I will see just some big flashy return to form for halo like, I don't know what it is. But it can't just be another halo. Well, that's the thing it's not a return to form form away. And that is like returned to prominence, like, okay. Having the kind of affect that halo used to have in terms of being council seller, setting standards and stuff like that. And it's not occupied that place for a infinite is like this game, you know, it almost sounds like something like you go to a three four three and be like, all right. Next generation consoles. This generation didn't go so.

"And it's just it's you know it's not like it doesn't look like the new call of duty. I get that. But this game still plays. Well, it's still fun. It's, it's neat and Syjuco, I've only just sort of looked haven't really started playing it yet, but it looks it's, it's, you know, it's like it's like one of the guys original team making what is essentially a new episode of doom. I mean, commodity kidding me. Like this. It's amazing. It's this really, really cool. And if you want to support John Romero, he does also sell physical versions of this come with, like a music CD with bucket head. You know, the guy used to be in, I think it was guns N roses and some other bands. And this various physical packages if you're into that kind of thing. But if you just want the game, it's absolutely free Leo said it's like a three megabyte downloads hilar-. Wow. Really? Really? Yeah. This is neat stuff. And then I also should mention that fire FOX was announced this week that all new uses of fire FOX will now see a tracking protection enabled by default. This is essentially turning off support for third party cookies, so sites can't track across the internet. And then starting sometime in the coming month, they're actually going to enable it for existing users. Well, and of course, anyone uses FOX, like any other browser can go in and make that change now but this is part of their big privacy push, which I think is smart for them. So that's kind of just a little differentiator. I don't believe this is tied to new fire FOX version. I think this is something that is flip the switch and, and now they're just doing this might fall. So that's certainly pro consumer, and you can sort fire FOX and Mozilla, if he would like. Mary, Jo Foley, Mary, Jo Foley. We're going to create a new segment on the show for Mary Jo called Skype watch. What the hell's new Skype? So this week on Twitter. Brad, sam's. We all knew the bunny, where of the bunny suit said very is said, I, I can't believe. Consumer cannot federally with teams. He was saying somebody using Skype consumer can't actually talk with people who are using James. And I thought that. No. That can't be nothing. I looked it up and it's true. And in fact, it was a feature Microsoft had promised, and then canceled, but of course many users want this. I mean, if your business you want to have somebody who's a Skype consumer customer be able to talk with you chat with you over teams, maybe they're not in your team, but they wanna be guest as part of your team. And so now Microsoft seems to have reconsidered and they are they place this feature on the under consideration list..

"Five years has never been an assistant coach started the any eye level. And all these years later, he's going to the final of read the first appearance in twenty years for the Michigan wolverines, and it's a long, wait. But it seems just fine. Now handshakes between the coaches. Buzzer. Michigan. Going back to the final four twenty point. Back alley rolling of the Florida Gators seventy nine took fifty nine I'd all those voices, Brad. Sam Bradford Schiller with our tournament. Flashback sponsored by the Wrangler performance series collection of genes bands, featuring a comfort flex waistband and Denham that flexes for comfort the Wrangler performance series. Try on a pair today. Yeah. That back in two thousand thirteen that was the second game in Dallas for Michigan. The first one Trey Burke, hit the shot from the parking lot. So then send them to the elite eight they beat Kansas in overtime. Brad. Sham would say from Fort Worth eight. Might have been farther Jerry's world. So you got all that going on? And they made it to the championship game where John beeline has now been for two of the last six years with the wolverines. But for them to get back to the Sweet Sixteen. They got a knock off Florida again today. It's the first game of the day in Des Moines, followed by Michigan state, Minnesota. Kevin Kugler and Robbie Hummel will going to be on the call and Robbie joining us now here on the tournament today. Good morning Robbie guys. How're you doing? Let's start with Michigan and Florida, and obviously what happened six years ago means absolutely nothing because these guys were fifteen and sixteen but with what Michigan did again to Montana does that carry some weight now that you saw Charles Mathews look healthy again. Yeah. I think it has to he he he's the guy that over his career in the NCAA tournament has been outstanding. You know, he's kind of been up and down the season coming up an ankle injury. But seeing him go and get twenty and ten in the way, he did it. You know, he's started off got going on the offensive glass. God going with points in the pain. And it's amazing. How when you see players. They get a couple of easy, baskets that basket just opens up for you. Now, you can make tough shots you have that competence. And he looked really healthy the the guy that I would say and not not just for this game. But for Michigan's tournament, it's Jordan pool. He he's been in a bit of a slump for about half the year, and he just looked a little bit unsure of himself and for a guy. That's so confident and is is such a potent score when he's playing well, he only took four shots it gets Montana, which is incredibly strange. So I think both those guys Charles Mathews, Jordan pool, we all know guard play is so important the NCA tournament, but they need Jordan pool to play. Well, if they're gonna make a deep run spot, Ravi speaking of guard play Michael White's got three young guards net rotation including his point guard, Andrew Hart, who's had a really solid year. What's what's their mindset going in a in this game against the team? So good defensively and so good at the point of attack. With your Simpson. Well, I think it has to be you know, we have played one of the toughest schedules in the country. They have sixteen games against quad one opponents this year. So they're battle-tested. They come out of the SEC, which is a great league. You mentioned Andrew harder. I think for him. He's going to have to be incredibly good today. And it seems like at times I would think Michigan is going to make him score the ball. He really looks to create. He loves the play pick and roll. And but at times it looks like he is driving to pass. I think Michigan will make him drive to score tonight. But an incredibly talented player. He leave all freshmen in major conference college basketball and assisted at just over five game. He's been incredibly effective as a point. We know how difficult that is to do as a freshman in college. I think Florida will switch a lot of ball screens. That's giving Michigan problems all year. But at the end of the day Florida is going to have to make threes. They shoot a ton of them. They don't make a ton of them. If they're going to really have a chance to beat a team like Michigan that defends the way that they do if you're taking twenty four three the game you better make your season average of thirty three percent Robbie Hummel with his ear on the tournament. Today. Calling the action in Des Moines game number two robberies. And the headline is too. Big ten teams going at each other. In the earliest part of the tournament in in conference history. Reality is they played once this year and had Michigan state being played Louisville. They also played once this year. So it's not that different. Except it kind of is different. Isn't it? I mean. Yeah. Whenever you see somebody in your league. It's lying. Here we go. Again. You know, you get so familiar with the teams you see him on TV so much. It has to be strange. I think that's part of the that's part of the cool part about the NCAA tournament. Is you get to finally place and people you never see. Well, Michigan state Minnesota has seen each other plenty over the last two or three years. So it's it's a weird game. But it's an interesting game. I think it creates an interesting dynamic in the big ten is full of terrific coaches. So I'm sure both Richard Patino and Thomas, oh, well, we'll change what they did back in February. And they're they're definitely playing so much different than they were just a month ago. Amir Coffey, Jordan Murphy, really struggle. They combined for nine point six rebounds tonight. There's no chance Minnesota can win. Amir Coffey has been playing outstanding basketball over the course of the last six or seven games. So should be a phone though. Always fun to see big ten teams get after. I know you love those big ten teams Robbie, but hey, you, and I have been watching Amir Coffey for three years, and obviously highly recruited dad was a great player. I coached against his dad in the big ten what what's happened. Like what what is it about him that all of a sudden he's taken his game to another level at the perfect time for the gophers? I think he's he's really getting to the rim and he's getting after in transition. He looks confident when he's aggressive, and he can get out and getting some open open space. He's an incredibly effective player. Great size. He's got a nice float or you can get to the basket. And again, I think it's the same thing we talked about you, get easy baskets, and it's conferences, a funny thing it shouldn't. You wouldn't think you would help a guy that it is talented as Amir Coffey to see the ball through the hoop? A couple of times with layup or even a free throw. But when he'd been able to to get going early all of a sudden that three point percentage rises up he can get to his poll up. He becomes the guy that can score at all three levels on the offensive end of the floor. And I just think that when he's an attack mode. He is good as anybody in the big ten at getting to the rim. Get another performance like they had from gave Kausar watch out Robbie. Thank you very much looking forward to Michigan and Florida the first game of the day. They're tipping off at five fifteen eastern. Thanks robbie. Yup. Thanks, guys. Nice. Oh, three of the four teams in Des Moines from the big ten one of the things that people always look forward to in. The second round is to see will there be an offset of a one? Will you get a leaf Faruk Menashe from northern Iowa knocking off Kansas? This is the round that had happens. We only have one of the ones eats playing today, and it happens in Salt Lake City. Let's get the preview from the men are going to be calling John Sadek. I Dan deco, but thanks so much a one seed Gonzaga gets us going here at Salt Lake City taking on the nine seed in Baylor. Yeah. I do not. I have to say, I'm not proselytize. You do what you want? You be you. I'll be me. Anyway tip. I mean that was your tip duck done, which is a good tip or your brother. Now. It's time for Mary Jo's enterprise. Pick of the week. Yes. The pollen I both heard from people this week who've been wondering where windows server twenty nineteen is the isos for it in terms of being on the evaluation center. It's weird. It's it came out like months ago and people are looking to download it and try it and they're like, hey, it's not there. So I went back and looked at the windows server account on Twitter, and I found out right around Christmas time when no one was looking at Twitter they posted that when we started publishing the media for one hundred eighty day evaluation. We found an issue with it, and we are fixing it. So this was December twenty eighth I asked Microsoft this week where is windows server? Like, where's WALDO, where's windows server and? They said they had nothing to say or share at this time, whatever they say these days, but I couple of my contact said they believe the eyeso- for windows server, twenty nineteen will show up on valuation center in the in the next week or so so if you're looking for it, it should be coming in a week or so and what went wrong with the valuation media. I don't know they wouldn't say we call this evaluation center gate. Yeah, we can do. Yep. So that's my tip. Hang on. It's coming the ice. Oh for windows server, twenty twenty nineteen evaluation center mode codename. Yes. So we talked about the whole ends to for a moment. Earlier the code name for that is Sydney. Thank you, Brad. Sam's for financial that code name for us. And I saw Brad was chiding. Frank Shaw on Twitter today, saying why aren't you having the launch for hololens in Sydney since that's the key? Free. Yeah. But anyways, this is the code name for the next hole lens, which has Paul mentioned. It's kind of whole and three b because there was a whole ends to the cancelled. And that's part of the reason why there's been four years between hololens, right? There was supposed to be one. They decided not to bring it to market. I guess it wasn't improved enough. And so this you could call it hole into our whole three whoever you want count. But the code name for it. Regardless is Sydney. Didn't you get your invites yet guys? Yep. We got him. What time is when is the Microsoft event. We'll probably want to cover it. It's a. Oh, yes..

"One twenty five one zero seven that chapter is now in the books. Congressional leadership scheduled to meet again with the president in hopes of reopening, the government difficult to say really without laughing. San antonio. I news correspondent Michael Bauer joins us. Now. Mike, no other congresses ever looked like this. We got Muslim women native American women Latino members from Texas Nancy Pelosi is now the house speaker again Kevin McCarthy transferred to gamble to her yesterday. Almost thought I was in a different comfort countries. I was watching. I mean, it was hugs kisses high fives aren't thing missing was Jesse Collignon. Fainting get together over a campfire. Yeah. The part was missing there. You had the kids crying in the background. I mean, every element of a set this up from a Hollywood scene. It couldn't have been better played out as it was yesterday. And and with that all I don't think we're any closer to having progresses progress later today with the two sides digging in yesterday and scheduled for meeting this morning. So I when you had President Trump stand up there with the entire or look like the entire border patrol agency behind him saying that we need a wall without a wall. This country is not secure and then Nancy Pelosi quick cut you go over to her as a new house speaker saying we are not doing a wall. And that is an essence where we stand here today. I think the only thing Charlie it looks like I guess you'd call it flexibility or perhaps an ability to negotiate someplace therein is several of those House Republicans yesterday shortly after Nancy Pelosi was sworn in broke with Trump, and then voted with Democrats to pass the two bills that would end the government shutdown those measures nearly identical to the one the Senate. Uses a stopgap measure, and they voted on unanimously to go tonight when it goes into midnight and into Saturday tonight that will be the two week, Mark. So the same on the president didn't sign that's what you've got the house re re sending back into the Senate, and they aren't going to vote on it whatsoever. So it involves legislation for one point three billion dollars in border security, but no money for President Trump's wall and us, we aren't any place closer. But Republicans at least looking like right now, they may realize that this government shutdown is getting bigger and his meaning more, and that they may want to take advantage of dealing with that I if you had to put a priority together, they may be feeling maybe that's the priority. We deal with first, and then we can work on border wall, possibly, even with DACA. All right. President Trump may be a lot of things take your choice from a number of list. One thing he is not he is not stupid and the American people. I think this this is just me here needs to realize it it it appears to me that every day. And it happens every day sometimes multiple times every day every day that he says look not we're not going nowhere. The government's not opening and kill. I get the money for a wall. The more. He says that the more he knows that he has to stick by that. I don't see I can't even see how far down the line. This could go. And that's the thing. Because I think that you have Republicans that are seeing that. Now, you're looking at by tomorrow, you'll have been in shut down for two weeks, which is a full pays for federal workers at the shutdown last through Monday, it surpasses the one from twenty thirteen if it lasts to be on next Saturday. It's the longest shutdown in US history. And with that you're looking at not just the agencies are gonna shut down not just people who at this point aren't expected to get refunds from the IRS, even though they are due. But if you owe the IRS, you're still going to have to you're still going to have to pay them, but they are not at the IRS checking tax returns or w two statements, which means you might not get home closings which means the housing market could be severely disrupted. You're seeing private companies with federal contracts that are now dealing with chaos and confusion as to what's going on. Hi, tech firm, and Colorado that does software for the federal government is not getting paid the coders who do the coding for that software are not getting paid. And now those coders are leaving to go to other companies. And so this woman's business could very well be ruined. Because of this government. Shutdown over the wall. So there's an element here. It seems right now again, this is just what an indication of. This is is that some Republicans released indicating that maybe we should deal with the government shutdown first, and then work on something Democrats yesterday, seeing flexible charleen regards to Dhaka, they would be interested in talking about DACA and wall funding, but only if the government gets taken care of first so that seems to be where this all is. I don't know what the president will work within that. But at least we're getting some indication of where people supporting the president are. And where the Democrats may be. All right. Well, let me tell you where I am. I've got one hundred dollars on both AFC games tomorrow and Sunday, I've got two hundred dollars each on both NFC games tomorrow and Sunday. And I've I've I've got five hundred on that we will make US history. When the government is still shut down next Saturday. I will take that with you. I think one hundred percents spot on and I think we do a record-breaking shutdown run. All right. I appreciate the update San Antonio. I news correspondent Michael Bauer.
