He's never really been perceived as a team player conservative but not a team player. So rathbun's burger. Does the job of the secretary state. He enforces the election laws. The state got sued over the two thousand eighteen election. He had to deal with that lawsuit. He lost the secretary of state's office lost the case they had to settle ultimately settle. It wasn't a consent decree as the president calling. it was a settlement of a case. That georgia lost. People don't seem to understand that he had no choice in how he settled the case and now he's become the scapegoat for everybody. Well it's easy to scapegoat burger because nobody wanted him in the first place and he's done a remarkable job showing he's got a spine of steel. He's not going to cave to the president of the united states or the senators or anyone else. He's doing what he perceives to be his job. He's doing it as fairly as he perceives can do it. And he's playing clean up on a lot of problems. That were the fall out of the two thousand eighteen election. We won the election and not fair to take it away from us like this. That's part of a 30 plus minute conversation. That The Washington Post got access to and then published Which would tell me and I don't I don't have the whole story yet. House was the call recorded Was recorded by Trump and released by by the president or his staff. Wasn't recorded by Brad Rapids Burger to try and get President Trump Office case. That's what I think. It was But I'll still let more information come out. The question is, what does this audio mean? Did the president say to Brad Rapids Burger? Hey, just go find me votes. Let's go back to what he actually said. Shall we? I just want to find 11,780 Roads. I just want to find this different thing. Go find me. Just just just from the small bit of audio that I have. The difference is other conversations amongst Democrats don't get recorded and would never get leaked and wouldn't get published by the Washington Post. Just so we're all clear that I You can't get me to believe that other conversations amongst Democrats have never happened. He'd get me to buy into that. Won't buy into that. And if they did happen, you never have them released. Was there was there not well. Barack Obama was running for president a picture of him and Louis Farrakhan that was not unveiled or released. Or let known in the public until you're a bomb was out of office for a year. I rest all my case right there. That's not good. Course It's not good. Because we play that's fine. Me these votes whatever you got to do, Just get me the votes. Make the argument and I have been making the argument that when people talk about voter fraud, it's kind of dilutes of the larger conversation about some of the things that we've been seeing. And some of the things that we know to be true. About the selection issues in Pennsylvania issues in Michigan and issues in Georgia, where there's new video of one woman running the same ballots through a scanner five different times. It's just right there on video can't be denied. And the people who aren't interested in those things aren't curious about those things don't care about those things. Those to me are the really dangerous people. The one to say, I well, no big deal. Well, they're the ones who, really. We have to ask what is their place and civil society. Widespread voter front, not just voted front widespread voter fraud. No such thing is widespread Voter front, so there was some voter fraud. It just wasn't widespread. Those investigations are going to continue, but they're not going to happen before. Inauguration day. What we're about to see on January 6th. Is not the end of the world, and I believe that represented Chip Roy is wrong. And I believe that Andrew McCarthy, who used to be with the Southern district, New York is wrong. And that somehow this is unconstitutional. I don't think it actually plays that way. Is it smart politics, So that's totally different conversation. Being on a phone call, saying, All I need is a 7000 votes is not good politics. Snot. Don't deny that. It also don't deny that What you're hearing is a snippet. The 30 plus minute conversation. That will not be shared in full. When I get the chance to hear all 30 minutes Will share with you my thoughts that much I can guarantee you. I'm Tony Katz numbers. This suit could have been found months ago. At the time the machines were adopted. Instead, the planet's waited until over three weeks after the election to file the suit. "6 45, Georgia's secretary state, Brad Rapids. Berger joins us live at our newsmaker line with secretary. Good Morning. Thanks for joining us early. Good morning, Scott. Great to have you in. Gosh, I mean, you've been on practically every network and every every news source of manageable here talking about the retaliate and what you're finding and What you're finding so far Miss Secretary, the bottom line and Georgia's voting system. Does it appear to be reliable. It's very reliable, met a couple counties with some human Air Floyd County. Didn't count £2600 and that helped President Trump at 800 Fed County also didn't tally of President Trump picked up for votes there. Well, the county made a minor error and that was about 100 votes. But President Trump is still about 12 12,000 votes behind. Uh, Vice President Biden right now, now, Well, the count that you find in the audit wind up being George's official total. And how would that work? Actually, our legal counsel said the boat totals that we have that are certified will be the official totals, obviously with say, it's a Floyd and well they'll be certifying. These new updated results, and so it's very important and that's the other benefit of doing the audit. It's just like when a C P A does a certified financial that you have an audit financial director, But we could have audited of this race. It's been very good. This is the first time we've used this system statewide, and we're staying. That's very close to 57 counties were exactly the same. Not one difference. 21 counties, but with him one Then there another certainty that were less than 10 vote difference. So very 110 count is very, very close. We still 49 to finish up so they're moving through a quick Any, uh, any inclination on meeting this deadline this evening you fairly confident that all the counties will get it done by tonight. That's their goal. We're not doing that, Uh, you know, let that let him off. We're gonna make sure that we push hard so that they stay late and get it done, And they know what the deadline is. Right the lives they're pressure to get the state certification done by Friday, or what's the next step in in the runoff election process? November twice is what is in state law so that we just following the procedure following the guy lunch and November 23rd deadline to certify, but then the losing candidate comes to pin half percent. And asked for a full recount, which then be putting all those doubts back in and skin them again. And that is their right, maybe paid at state expense. So what would that apply to the President Cyril Race as well? Yes, yes, she could ask for a recount. That's his right and it's right there in state law if he wants to do that. Okay, Miss Secretary, Any updated investigations, the newest in Fulton County that water leaked that delayed the absentee count, and some Republican monitors who were told they could go home while the count continued any update there. We're still investigating that we hear mixed messages on that. I do know that because of this consent decree we had with them that our monitor was there the whole time, along with one of our investigators so that They were there with their eyes on it. But just some questions exactly what happened. We're hearing you know, he said, she said, And so that's why we investigate. We'll dig into it. We have another investigation in both of these things happen during elections and we investigate and we make sure that procedure is being followed and that there's we can root out any election fraud that can or happens during an election process. I gotta ask you a question about the heated atmosphere here. Personally, You surprised at the level of vitriol here, aimed it. Even you and even your family. And what are authorities telling you about the threats you've been receiving? It's been spun up in. Unfortunately, people just were expecting President Trump to win. What they don't understand. Is center to produce got 14,500 more votes and President Trump in the metro regions that was right there. His losing margin. Also, there were 24,000 Republicans who voted absentee in the primary who did not vote at all. They did not vote. Absolutely. They did not vote early. They did not vote the day of the election in the November election. President Trump. They told people voters not to vote after you couldn't trust it. The challenge you have is Republican voters are actually older. And so they're more concerned about covert than you know the younger folks that are invincible. I like to joke and so he actually suppressed his own voting base on so that's really what happened was 24,000 never voted. And he was out performed by Senator produced by 14,500. You have to have a message that resonates statewide and took Sara producer credit. I think he has the measures that resonates and as a Republican. Taken off. That s Ellis hat. I hope he has a great run off election along with Kelly's Leffler. So well for so you answer my next question. Do you intend to vote for the Republicans in the Senate runoff? I've never voted for a Democrat. Yet. I'm looking serve a Republican. You just look at my voting record, whether it's City Council statehouse or secretary state. But then the circle this one here or they'll make different marks on it. What did they really mean? There? Chill elections officials tell us they seldom see a hand marked ballot where they can't determine voter intent. In 2019, Georgia bought the devices from a Canadian company called Dominion Voting Systems. They replaced paperless machines like these made by a now defunct company called D, Bold Election Systems. A federal judge forced this date to scrap the discredited devices. Election security activist Maryland marks was part of the lawsuit that triggered the change for her ballot marking devices now used widely in 14 states are not the ideal remedy. We need paper records that are marked by the voter. The voters on hand. Where we know that was recorded the way that the voter wanted it recorded, so she and the other plaintiffs took aim at the new voting machines. The lawsuit came into sharp focus after their chaotic debut in the June primary. The pole pads took his long as 30 hours to download the voter database. Displayed the wrong races and would randomly shut down and the power hungry ballot marking devices blue circuit breakers in numerous locations. Poll workers, many of whom had no hands on training because of the pandemic, were often befuddled by the new technology. We've learned a lot of us is we're putting technicians and every single polling place we have to make sure that not only do the poll workers know how to use the equipment, but then these technicians of the Gonna be relied upon to fix any issue. We want to just fly into the radar and do our jobs and you know, stay away from the news. I've been able to learn that there's nothing that stops an attacker. From just duplicating one and the duplicate would count the same as the original barcode. And in late September, another concern came to light during testing. Election workers found half the names of the 21 candidates for Senate. Intermittently disappeared from screens during the review phase. Dominions sent out of last minute software patch. I'm worried that the Georges system is that technical equivalent to the 7 37 Max. They've just made a last minute software changed. That might well have unintended consequence. Citizen clothes even more severe problems on election.
