Hedman lifts Lightning over Bruins for 11th straight at home

"The Tampa Bay lightning broke the Boston Bruins 6 game win streak with a three to two win in the marquee matchup of the night. Victor hedman fired in the game winner late in the third period after a seesaw battle. He even gave. They're a great team and so are we. So a game that we expected and one goal games we shot down pretty good there at them. Brandon Hagel netted the lightning's first goal and Nikita kucherov finished with a goal and an assist Boston's Brad marchand got his 16th of the season Pavel zaka also scored for the bruins. "It took 7 rounds on the shootout, but the Los Angeles kings completed the comeback and defeated the Boston Bruins three to two. The bruins scored both of their goals in the second, the first by Taylor hall and a delayed penalty and the second by Brad marchand on a power play. With 1131 left in the third, the king has gone on the board when Adrian kempe scored the first of his two third period goals. The second goal coming with two ten left in regulation. The home loss by the bruins was their second all year, both of which occurred in shootouts. Greg kedes, Boston.

Taylor hall started the scoring for the bruins just one minute and 7 seconds into the game were the first of his two goals. The lightning tied it at one in the second on a power play goal by Steven stamkos. It was his 999th career point. In the third, the bruins took the lead for good, two 49 into the period on all second goal of the game, a power play goal. "So moving on to the lineup this year, I was looking ahead and, you know, we're focused on when creature might return when bergeron might return again. We recording this on Monday afternoon that has yet to happen. Don't yell at us. We're really not even covering centers in this. We're more looking at the wing pairings in the top 6, but lost in all these things. I think people kind of forget. Brad marchand is going to be out for quite a bit of time to begin the year. Not even like a month could be a month and a half, two months. Are they going to need it for that rough stretch they have in like November? But it kind of begs a question of who's going to be replacing him? Who is in the top 6 as wings? And you know, you look at you have Jake de brusque right now on the right side, but are you going to put him on the left? Where does Taylor hall go? David pasternak, where does he fit in? You also have Pavel zaka, who you just acquired, who I would imagine would go on the wings somewhere. But you know who else you got? And you wrote about him this weekend. You got Fabian lysol potentially. Battling for top 6 spots. So I look at those 5 and I say, those are the 5 candidates for the wings. Now again, we're not going to sit here and speculate. I would imagine it's burgers trying to create you down the middle. However, I do think if it is bergeron, I think you would probably roll with de brusque bergeron and maybe pasternak. Or if it's not, you know, let's say we're on a creation I'll come back. God forbid, then I guess who cares? Put us up there. Then I guess you would probably put hall with coil, even though that really didn't work out last year, but maybe something works this year in Montgomery. But what do you think? What do you look at early as the pairings for that? Yeah, I think I'd imagine with Martian though for a couple months at least. I imagine they probably put the brush back as usual squad I left wing, I think you look at the fact that he's here for right now. He's rescinded his tradeoff or he wants to get the ball rolling. I think he's excited to be under a new coach in Jim Montgomery. I think for the Bruin, it's all about, all right. You'll probably be right-wing later on this season once we get rolling in the second half, but let's start from start from scratch, start from a spot that you're comfortable in at left wing, top 6 minutes, and I have them rolling there. And then yeah, kind of just depends on I think what the configuration is and whether or not bergeron and creature are back because again, it's a good problem to have, whether it's past or not with bergeron, or it's pasternak, with trajectory, either one of those works. I have to imagine maybe if she's back, it's kind of part of the deal maybe of you get a lot more reps with posture not, which then leads to a vacancy at right wing, which as you said, it could be a guy like lysell, maybe if Craig smith's still here and you want to give him some early reps to get him rolling 'cause I think Craig Smith is one of those guys that if he starts slow, it's all about building up his game.

"As we've seen every single year in the playoffs in the grind that comes with it, I think it's safe to assume that they're not going to just stick with foligno Lazar and no sick throughout it. It's going to be guys cycling in and out of the lineup guys are going to be banged up. So you're going to need a lot of other guys to step up as was the case in 2018, 19 when you had a coral Wagner and Nordstrom all played key roles for a four guys on a three man unit. So you could have the making of that again this year. So I think when you look at especially maybe comparing this current team to last year's, I give the top 6 a slight edge, but what puts them over the top I don't think the bottom 6 is remotely close in terms of just how much better and more well rounded this team is compared to last season. It's the same with 2019 20, I think. Your third line is like Richie Coyle, Björk. Nordstrom Crowley Wagner were kind of coming off that really good year in 1819. 1819, though you had a good bottom 6. Nordstrom and coralli and Wagner. I think that's the closest. I think Craig Smith, I think the comps would be Craig Smith, Johansson, and then hainan to Frederick. I think Frederick is a little bit better at kind of coming in on the rush and for checking my produce a bit more. Smith, I think, is a little bit more reliable than Johansson when it comes to putting up points. So maybe I give the edge to this year, but 1890 took you all the way to the cop. So that's also the other thing like that that autumn 6 worked. So let's move on to defense because I think defense is where it gets really interesting. So this year, I'll go with lindholm mcavoy, Carlo. And then forbert Clifton, because Mike Riley has played himself out of it. But Mike Riley is 7th defenseman, so he can put him at 7 D compared to last year, grills like mcavoy is the top pairing Riley Carlo. And again, Riley, I think an interesting one because Riley was pretty good going into the play last year. Looked like a sure fit. And then Lausanne and Miller as that third pairing, what would you take between this year and last year? So I think if you look at high end skill, I also maybe I'll look at through the lens if they're playing up to their capabilities because if that's the case, then I think it's this year because I think lindholm and mcavoy is a dynamite top pairing mcavoy state another huge step this year and even though he hasn't played that much, went home easy to notice the difference he brings to this team. He's a legit impact player. So I think that in itself puts them probably over the top. Look at grizzly Kahlo. If you're playing to the capabilities, that's a great second pairing. It just hasn't always manifested itself this year. Whether it's grizzly not being with mcavoy and kind of the benefits of that, obviously, or I think college is the big kind of equalizer there that that's a guy that you need to be playing at a top level, especially when you get to the playoffs and PK work and the match ups that he's going to face. And even last year in the postseason, I wouldn't say it was a Sterling playoff run for Kahlo..

"Moment. You don't need to say, oh, I'm a Bruin stamp, but it's like, no, it's just a good tribute to a good man. Just let that be. So, amazing tribute for Montreal made that game a 100% worth everybody's time because of how good that tribute was. On Sunday Night. Now, it's funny to the ice and to the bruins. Obviously two good wins this past weekend over the rangers and then the Canadians. But one thing people are kind of worried about is Brad marchand. Everyone's kind of like, huh? You know, he hasn't scored a little while here, and then he hits the post on the empty net and you have bergeron calming him down on the bench. He's breaking sticks. And I'll be totally honest with you, Connor, because we can overreact sometimes. We sometimes like to get our stuff in a bunch over some players and stuff. We overreaction time to time. I'm not too worried about Brad marchand at all. Because even, though, he has not scored since April 2nd, which is the first game of the month. And even though at times the points haven't been there this month, he's still playing well. And he's still doing the little things, and if he's slumping before the postseason, it's better do it now than come may. Yeah. No, exactly. I think he even look at that game against Montreal where some good and some bad in terms of him maybe getting a little bit too mixed up. The one thing I think that bruins fans don't want to have happen is marchand, letting that frustration boil over and get into a situation where he gets in trouble. I think you looked at that. That's the one I stay against Anderson. That's the thing you have to worry about. It's just not letting that build up. And obviously he's frustrated he saw you like, you know, smash his stick. He's very, you know, he's hot on the bench. You just hope that doesn't spill out into him doing something dumb where he gets kind of the red brain or what they call it when these guys are getting that moment and they kind of lose it. Pulls a knife on Jonathan Hubert. Yeah. That's the last thing you want to have happen and just letting that frustration boil over into something that takes him out of games going into the postseason. That's the worst case scenario. I don't think that's the real tangible fear..

"Yeah, again, I mean, it's a completely different team. And it's been rare that the bruins have not had those two not on the ice together. It's been a long time. I can't even remember the last time that they were out for an extended stretch of time. And you're seeing, again, bergeron retires, you got so limited down the middle. And you know, again, Martian is not retiring anytime soon he's not pulling an Aaron Donald, which the Aaron Donald stuff was interesting. I had not heard about the retirement stuff. Before the game and then Rodney Harrison just kind of dropped it in the free game. Yeah, no big deal. And then it was talked about a little before the game I like Michelle to fly on the sideline and it's like, was this like do people talk about this before? Did it just like spawn? And now he's like potentially retiring. So none of that with Martian that we know of. So he'll be around for quite a bit. But again, it kind of hits at this like, you need both. And I don't think that, you know, let's say bergeron does retire after the season. What do you have with marchand? Like Marsha has a great play driver, same with pasta or not, but you need that legit number one center and you don't have it. You do not have it. Outside of bergeron. So it comes down to again, that's why this deadline could be one of the most important that the bruins have had in years, which we say every year, but I really mean it this year. This could have a lot longer to 2023. It would be the same thing, but honestly, considering what the window is. Yeah, every year going forward for any more important in terms of charting out the future because we've said it before. I don't think this team is going to sell or are they going to completely blow things up. And again, I think you look at the state of this team. Can you really blow things up completely anyway? There's people who talk about they should just trade everyone and all of a sudden get into the sweepstakes for the dad sweepstakes. No, I think the floor of this team is also too high that even if you like bergeron retires and you try to sell off tradable assets like the brush, Craig Smith, all these other guys, they're still not at that tier where you're hovering with Montreal and Arizona. We are going to have a viable chance. Maybe you get the.

"This. This February 15th and this is the bruins beat on CLS media. Welcome to the bruins beat on CLS media, my name is Evan Marino. He hope you guys have any great day, a great week. Hopefully had a great Super Bowl weekend, did something cool for it? Maybe we're there. Or as people Blackburn said on Twitter who wouldn't want to just sit on the couch and stuff their face. What's the fun and being there when you can just sit at home on the couch with a big bag of chips and some beer or maybe you're having soda or whatever it is and just eating away, drinking away. Personally, I just chilled. Just chilled, ordered our chicken sandwich from a local restaurant. It was delicious. Watch the game, even get you hungry right now. But it was a good game, Connor and I got into it to start. Just a little bit. But in this episode, we talked for a while about these Mark Andre flurry rumors at the Bruce might be a dark horse than him and we kind of discussed the pros and cons to someone like flirt. We also got into life without bergeron and Martian as the burns are going through right now. And what it kind of exposes in this bruins lineup. And we also got into the potential of this Frederick Coyle Smith line working. What happens if that's a good line? Does that become the third line? Who slots in up top? So a lot of interesting moving parts with that. We also get into Jack studnica. And what his value is saying with Jacob bruss, what their value is in trades and where they might fit in the lineup. Going forward. So fun episode, as always, remember to go support our friends over at bed online with our promo code CLS 50. Without further ado, here's my conversation. With Conor Ryan. And we're here with Conor Ryan. Connor, what is up? Evan, doing well. How are you doing? Doing great. Doing great. This is too straight weeks of you back on bruins beat. It's like we're getting back in the rhythm of you coming out. Slowly getting you back in the loop on this. But how was your weekend? It was swell. Watch Super Bowl went with, I thought, I hope the Bengals were gonna win, but alas. It was more realistic. I was like, you know what Aaron Donald is going to absolutely obliterate Cincinnati's offensive line? Sure enough it happened. Adds terrible, as always, which like, I feel like it's very much an old old man grape to be like the Super Bowl ads are bad. It's like realistic now. Everyone's got like Twitter and YouTube. People are getting more creative. You don't have to wait for the big game for you to drop like a good ad anymore. So I got 9 understand that comes with a territory, but it was good. No complaints as of when the time this podcast drops. Hopefully be you will be being part champions. We will scrub this audio from the podcast. So fingers crossed there. But how are you doing? How was your weekend Evan? It was great. I actually had to do a bean pot preview video for the championship for the NCAA, and I predicted be you to win. Hurt me to do it. Hurt me to do it, but I did. I had to make a business decision and I did it. It was a good weekend. Fun times, Super Bowl was great. You're right, the ads were terrible. The only ad that I actually remember was the crypto dot com ad with the barcode that went on the screen..

"How about the Patriots? How about the Patriots? What a team. Oh, they're obviously getting all the press as they should. A cheese Mac Jones man. My goodness. That guy can also Boston sweep on Sunday Night, wasn't it? Celtics burns patriots. Yes, and the revs did not play. I always gotta mention the revs because now the revs are like legit, so I give my respect. They did not play, though I don't think. Because Matt Turner was, I think at the Patriots game. So. But yeah, it was a sweep. This is sweet. Need more of those around here. That's for sure. Yes. Anyways, the Canucks, as I mentioned, have a lot of pieces who could potentially be on the move. That's a team that could just be selling everything and everybody that they can potentially get things for at the deadline. And there's some pieces there, right? Brock besser could potentially maybe be on the move. There's some other names over there. Is it Tyler Mott? He's a bottom 6 guy. I don't think the person really need him, because they got enough bottom 6 guys to think of ship. But at the end of the day, I do think that the connects have some pieces and it got me thinking, you know, who could the bruins maybe take from the Canucks? Who could be some guys that burns might could get, right? You know, maybe a top 6 four, whatnot. Connor Garland, by the way, love Conor Garland wanted him when he was with Arizona, but now he signed a new deal with them, so I don't know if that's really going to pan out. But maybe go back to one thing, Marina, and that is. Does this team have what it takes? To trade for legitimate pieces, right? And I think too often we look at guys like, oh, just flip to breast. What is de brusque getting you right now? What is Eric hall at getting you? What is Jack said nika getting you? And I just keep going back to this point of Marina. Do they have anything that they can trade that has any value? I mean it's Slim Pickens, right? It's gotta be picks because they don't really have a lot going on in the talent pool. That's not to say like the Providence ruins are bad. It's just ruins are pretty far behind in that area. Oh breaking news. Brad Marsha and just has been suspended for three games or sleep footing Vancouver's all over at the Morrison. Three games. That's because his name is Brad marchand. That's a 100% 'cause his name is Brad Martian. His biggest investment suspended. No, okay. You're fine. And the Martian hit was more of like, he didn't go in with the sleuth. You know what I mean? It kind of came up at the end. That was my issue with it. If you're not going to suspend PK subban for what he's done, how is this anything? So maybe games. I've been curious the theory that maybe it has something to do with the canal and stuff. Depending on what Marshall said, so maybe, you know, this is kind of a way of justifying it. It's like when someone gets it's like when someone is to get fired from work, but instead they say like, oh, you took a leave apps. She's on vacation. They'll be back soon. We gained. Three games. That's ridiculous. I think that is way too much. I thought this would be a fine..

"So it's like it's almost more frustrating that Don Sweeney has an address this team properly, like no matter what it takes. Even if they even if they don't, or they didn't win a Stanley Cup, I would only be satisfied that Sweeney tried, right? It seems like he hasn't really tried. I know we've got hall in last year and that was a big boost. But then David clearly to you left. So it's like maybe if you got preachy some hope, you know, years back, we were going to be having this conversation. Yeah, Taylor hall could not have come not a worse time. But it would have been nice to see him come a little sooner. I mean, I think that was sort of the plan with Rick Nash. Back in the day, I think Rick Nash was sort of supposed to be that guy, and he was during the regular season, but then obviously had the concussion issue. So I always looked at Nash as they tried with him. You know, that was like the guy who was supposed to be next to him. I think they imagined maybe backus. Obviously with the brusque they definitely did. I mean, they just kept missing. I mean, I don't pin Nash on Sweeney. I was concussions. Hall, again, worked out. Like I think they tried at certain times, but it just was too little too late, or it wasn't enough. So I just, the whole creature thing, I mean, it is so obvious. I think you mentioned this last episode and I know we both agree on this. They miss him so much. Yeah. Everybody misses dame first please. And I look at the power play and how much he's missed there. I look at even the second unit when he was on the second unit. He helped out a ton there. I mean, I look at Taylor hall. And again, this is nothing against Charlie Coyle. And we've said this like coil's been fine. I don't have any issue with Coyle. He had a sickle against the sabers the night before Thanksgiving. That was nuts. I was a snipe. But I just, you miss crazy. And I just look at a guy like Martian and as you said, this is the same stuff we're talking about every year, right? All the top line scoring what your goal is. Oh, the fourth line is shutting down the opposing team top line. Oh, wait, there's no secondary scoring. It's the same stuff. And before we get into potentially some additions that can make us work a quarter end of the season now. We are a quarter of the season. It is officially time to start maybe speculating about some trades..

"It is incredible how far they have fallen so quickly because it was only that it was just a few years ago they were in the in the playoff bubble. And everyone was saying, oh, Quinn Hughes. You know, he's gonna carry them and it's like a quintus's fault, like that team has bigger problems. But incredible to see how far they've fallen, and we'll get to the state of them. Because that might have an impact on the bruins, at least trade deadline wise, later in the show, but the star of Sunday Night was one Brad marchand. I mean, no surprise there. He was incredible. And I've talked at length on bruins beat. I know you've said it many times. I mean, we both obviously think the world of Martian, you know, I think he's a potentially a top 5 player in the NHL, which is crazy to think. I mean, you remember when he first came into the league? I mean, did you ever think you would be at this good? It's crazy. I think so because you saw the raw talent, right? I tweeted out during the game that GIF of the energy line when he was with Beverly Campbell. That was such a good throwback. And it was just like it's truly incredible to see where he was, you know, all those years ago to where he is now. I mean, he's literally carrying this team. And it's incredible because, you know, as he gets older, he just seems to get getting better. And it's usually backwards, right? Like as these guys older, maybe they drop off, but it's incredible. And they needed that, right? It did not look good, you know, going into the third. And you talk about like the lowly Canucks and like that was pretty, if they lost that game that would have been a tough pill to swallow for them. So it was a good comeback led by Brad marchand, just some unbelievable ways. Eastern the second period, he was just hitting everyone in anyone. That's why I tweeted that GIF out because it's like he is the energy. He's trying to create whatever just trying to get this team going. So it's been incredible to watch. And I've kind of talked about this on my on my podcast when David kurtzer left and went to Dana Charles. You kind of appreciate guys more when they leave and so I hope you can appreciate what Brad Martian has done these last few years. Because it is something special. Yeah, and again, I've gone back to this so many times with the off season. A lot of people have said, oh, the cup window is closed. This team isn't worth potentially spending for and trying to keep going for the Stanley Cup. And I keep going back to one guy. And it's Martian. Guys like Marcia and don't pop up every year. They don't pop up every generation even. I mean, this is a guy who can literally do everything. He's an incredible penalty killer. He's the heartbeat of your power play. He's, you know, your MVP. He's been that way for a while now, not just this season, but past seasons. He scores a bunch of goals. He sets guys up so well. I mean, Patrice bergeron would not have the numbers he has without Marshall. I think that's a very, I think they would admit that. They worked together so great. But Sunday Night.

"And he entered in on the fourth line, didn't really play a ton, played only about 9 minutes at 5 on 5 time, not a ton elsewhere. He didn't see a ton of them. Wasn't noticeable. I mean, again, he was playing with Carson Coleman and Trent Frederick. I think there's a few takeaways from this. My first thought was why he didn't play with Coyle and hall. I didn't really understand that. I get no psych had a good game against the sabers on the second line, but sonic is potentially a top 6 forward of the future for you. Why would you not against the San Jose sharks in game four of the season? Why wouldn't you just try them out between coil and haul? To Cassie did not speak on that, did he? I hate more or less just focus on his overall games that he wasn't really noticeable, which I mean, it's time to get noticed when you're on the fourth line. And again, we've talked about before mapping out maybe he stops in the fourth line builds his way up. Well, it's tough to get off of that fourth line when only 20% of your face offs are on the offensive zone. They weren't just like, you know, put them together on full line. It was grind out shifts. Like against top 6 competition, like you're really not going to shine the spot like that where you've got where young player likes tonika. And it's just I think the fact that, sure, he inside on the fourth line, he can take those tough shifts. And he has value, you know, if you want to put him on the PK, what have you. There wasn't one point where he got swapped with no sick at all, which if you're going to see what this guy has, like, what better opportunity wasn't like Coyle was like, you know, dicing up the competition at two C, where it's like all right, well, our hands are tied here. We get more coil. He was literally on the wing. And again, notice they got a good game against buffalo, but you have to look in the long term, look ahead, is Thomas nose they're going to be your second line center and a year from now two years is Jackson nica potentially going to be. He could, but you're not going to know if he's going to be buried on the fourth line in a role like that too. It's not, you know, there's been plenty of teams that their fourth line functions is more of almost like a, you know, they still get 50% ozone raps like they're not like just a pure shutdown line. So Nico was, again, more or less fed to the wolves in terms of how they were matched up against San Jose. So yeah, it's a tough break for him. I mean, I don't think he was super engaged, but also it wasn't playing to any of his strengths at all. It doesn't seem like it helps anyone long-term, short term, anything like that, because the bruins don't really know what they haven't said. Nica still, even though there was a two C spot, that was available in that game..

"Bet online, where the game starts. You know, it's funny, Connor. I was at the garden on Friday night for the Celtics game. I made that great luck. And I made some bets with bet online. And I typically do this when I go to a game that I'm not covering. It's like, it's fun. You know, you do it and makes you more into the game and I'm not gonna sit here and say I did great. I'm doing. So it was fun. The cafeteria kind of spot. That's pretty cool. It is cool. And we showed up kind of late, so I got my typical chicken fingers and fries. Because you can't go wrong. Garden chicken fingers and fries hit so different. Yes. So good. Expensive down east was 15 bucks. 15 bucks for a down east. It's quite hefty. Very hefty. Speaking of hefty, the bruins offensive game on Sunday, three goals, right? Pretty much right off the bat. But then later in the game, they give up some goals. They almost lost it. There was a real chance there at the end. It was James reimer's revenge that they were going to lose that game in the third period after being up four to one. "And welcome in to poke the bear, episode 50. I'm Evan Aronofsky back here with Conor Ryan. Yes, I'm back from vacation, Connor killed it last week, doing it all on his own, which people don't realize is not easy. That's not an easy thing to do, and I'm not that we don't have a lot to say, but talking for forty-five minutes straight is not exactly the greatest thing in the world for the voice box. So, maybe I'll do the majority of the talking today. You're rested up interests up after that. Yeah, the good thing though, Evan is at least we had to talk about like Oliver ekman-larsson and like it's very easy to get wound up as to why the Bruins couldn't get them cuz he's men legit like a garbage over the last like two years like not not like kind of bad like not Lego little Reclamation project know he costs a crap ton of money and my god he has been absolutely Dreadful so long. Riffing off of a bad for about 20 minutes. Did a pretty good job shutouts Oliver ekman-larsson for hopefully contributing into one positive way. He will on any Bruins discussions because if the Bruins get him we're not begrudge it. Just come out that the coyotes are only. They only want to retain like one point two five million of a salary is that one cameras up. Yeah. Which just the latest and just a clown, a clown show operation about there being this is a team that whether it's the fact that they can't even pay off their own bills for their own Arena, Which is far away outside of the actual City of Phoenix, back to having a horrible farm system to all of their absolute, you know, mishandling of the draft, the last couple of years, or some of the guys they picked coupled with effect. They lost their first pick for things like improper. Like draft testing, I don't know. The exact thing is what it was, losing a first-round pick because of it. So now the new thing is moving karna, Galant Homme. Is they don't want to pay a guy who is been their best foot forward for probably the last two years which seems like he's well in line to get a single. I think he's making seven seventy-five thousand last year. So would seem like he's more than do for that. I would say Evan. Yeah not not going to pay that guy, but then trying to still have leverage when you've got a busted off defenseman, you're trying to offload. So great. Rationale, from that team going to see the NHL's can you to prop up a franchise like that, that seems to slowly be dying in the desert. So, yeah, if we open at 5. So just by burying the coyotes but you know what? They deserve it that reference as a joke I guess they were after a hot start just absolutely ripping ripping apart the coyotes which as you said, very well deserved. I mean, just a joke down there. So funny that like Vegas in like four years. Completely overtook them as like the team in the desert. So happy to see that. Yes, Conor Garland as well. That stuff is great. "Too because he's trying to throw everybody off so everybody got a good chuckle out of it because basically the rangers at bailed out of the zone and they weren't forechecking at that stage Everybody wanted to get into overtime but Boy that would have been really embarrassing. If somehow the rangers got a hold of the puck and buried into the empty net. Totally totally. you see that in baseball okay. Mistakes like that right. You see outfielders. It's not uncommon. Right where you see outfielder the catch a fly ball and then you know. There's a guide i right and they. You know the drill it right. The guys tagging they try and drill it to second base from second to third or whatever you know try and make this out and everyone starts laughing because that was the third out the fly ball out right right it happens and you know you see all the infielders given the guy. Okay the two fingers to out right. They're gonna remind them in baseball right. Is it happens a lot. So i think to single handedly going to bring in what they happen baseball that the players are all going to run back before the final faceoff virgo to all tie game given the fingers. Yeah there's a fantastic moment Kind of like that but but different. We're larry walker. There's there's only one out and larry walker's out in the outfield and the the ball is hit at the warning. Track larry walker being a hoover may catch easily. And i guess he'd been chatting with somebody in the front row gave the ball to a little kid and so he starts then he starts see. He's starts running in the end of the inning and after about six steps of jogging. He realizes what's going on. Is the guy running around the bases and just fringe back. Gets the ball back from the little kid. Sorry body and then throws the ball in. But that was pretty embarrassing. Moment for sure class luca. I saw him go to bed. Sawyer was laughing you know. And that's i'm i don't feel any more satisfied with the officiating and i've added feeling annoyed two things as well so that's why i'm not a fan. Yeah no i. I like it. So you're you're you're. You're not preaching to mike choir stephen. You're not preaching to my choir baby okay. So again again when it results place. I like. I like basketball. Drives me little bananas. Now that they brought in video review for i think for fouls and shit like that it. You know to look at whether it was flagrant or not. And you know i mean. There's i always thought you know you watch a basketball game. Steve and Dude goes up for shot. Okay and and you know defender kind of brushes his jersey right and the guy misses the bucket and there was not enough of a infraction. There that he was gonna make it right. Okay foul they all come on. Excuse me was never gonna make that bucket so that that bugs me in basketball.

"Brad marchand. Generally i don't like him find him a bit prickly as most do most outside boston do but he Singing my tune. He's speaking my language what he told reporters after the clubs. Three two win over the rangers this week that he's as sick of all the video replace says it all really bothers me all that stuff. I just think that being able to challenge all of these plays like hockey's a game of mistakes not only by the players but by the referees you get your calls against you but you get your calls that go your way as well marsh. Andrew scored the ot winner to push his point. Streak to nine games believes the number ever use can also impact the officials credibility says. There's a lot of blame that gets put on the ramps. But they're there to make those split decision calls and now they're calling the back all the time. I don't think that that's necessary. It's just taking hockey to a place where it's annoying and this is a guy who is a member of the boston bruins. Who are the best team in the east at nine one and two so things have generally gone their way..

"So that's where I think the problem is it's, you know, you can't fully stop these situations. Which guys dead. Test positive or have false positives or anything like that. Those are going to be roll with the punches there, but the NHL should have stopped those games this weekend because now you got a situation. We got a whole bunch of teams kind of just sitting around for a couple of days, which was wholly avoidable when you look at just the overall situation and how it was mapped out. Well, that's the issue. It's portable like you just could have you said you could have postponed those games and they didn't and that's the aspect where it's like dead guys are going to get covid-19. Oh totally imagine living in a place where it's 75 in January or February Jesus FL just throwing a whole like clock off though. Like I would I wouldn't complain right? I'd be walking around in shorts to be thrilled but not be like this. This isn't right. It's not it's like like going to Florida or California somewhere hot like for Christmas like just not right. It's not the same but it's not not not the same. Like, I've never experienced a hockey season warm-weather. Imagine like going into like consistently like home. If you'd like coyotes the docks the Panthers lighting you just walk in mid-December in shorts or like, you know, short sleeve shirt like that just wouldn't happen and doesn't feel right. So maybe we have that on them that and also you don't appreciate spring-like. Imagine just being warm all winter and then just like it's warm again. And then yeah, it's warmer in the summer the first like 55 to 60 degree day after like the whole misery of June February is beautiful. You just walk around with with nowhere to go you just walking aimlessly. Oh the walks the walk through campus like when it was beautiful out like those those March days where it was fifty six. It would be a little like the snow would be melting and you know, it was just perfect. It was like, oh my God spring is here it's time.
