"The preparation. They're all these teams are going to be putting into them. Might be hard for chase elliott to do not to mention the various strategies. That will be employed. I wanna hear doug something here next week when we played this game. Green flag flag regularly. Gets doug rice. Doug i think he'll win all of them. I just don't see. I mean i'm going to go with a black flag. I think think he wins. All of the road races like eating all. You heard it here first. Lots of things. Here i reign rainbows all kinds of art. And i want to give this to all four of you. This time around after last night's super bowl commercial kyle busch is the new face of home lawn care. Let me go to Kind of petty. Well if you're trying to kill crabgrass. I the commercial south. He's driving a lawnmower if he wants to be the face of long hair more power to. I'm winning all right. How about doug rice. Why not they can only make left hand turns. Apparently that's right that's right alexis. I think he probably got a pretty good amount of money for that commercial yesterday. So sure they're paying for it. Why not hello bread. I'll say black flag because you had to have sat on a lawn mower more than once to be the face of longhair hair He may have raced race law. Moore's at one point good point very true all right. That's this week's edition of green flag black flag. You wash the outside clinging the inside and make sure maintenance is up today hamper. "Didn't have anything to do with. The beatles did so smarter that all made us now. Let's go to green flag. We'll all everything we gained is about to be lost. It's time for another edition of green flag. Fleck flags all right. We have questions for all of these experts today and of course. No prizes awarded at the end of the show. Here we go. For the first time ever a driver we'll sweet the clash the duel and the daytona five hundred alexis black flag especially with the difference in the type. Of course they're going to be running From the clash to the races. Black black bread. I'm just gonna say green flag just because you know records are made to be set. They're made to be broken. Maybe this is the first time we see something. Gotta hear from kyle petty. Yeah that's an i. I must say. Black flag i think all right second question throw it up the doug rice i we will have a first time daytona five hundred winner when the checkered flag falls this sunday. First time i'm going to be the glass half full kind of guy and go green flag. I could easily see that happening. I could see a chase elliott. Kyle larson alex bowman winning their first ever daytona five hundred said. Yes patrick here. From brad gilead son. I'm going to say black flag. How about that. I'm going to go against once again. I think if you're good at speedway's you're gonna continue to be good and you're gonna find your way back to victory lane could be denny hamlin being the first win three in a row and and there goes all the records being set again. And now the correct answer from kyle petty. Wow listen i'm going to go. I'm going to go. You know what. I'm gonna green flag green. I think with with just the way things are to go. Green flag eric. Chase elliott wins four or more.

Have kyle kick off the season here with his cow. Thanks a lot once again for joining us. Back on fast talk Let's talk a bit about what you've got going on a saw you on the nbc coverage of the rolex. Twenty four nice job. What what all does nbc have you doing. You know what we're starting back just as you say you're starting your regular season coverage and i think. Nbc is doing the same thing. I think each week we're going to be doing. A couple of splashing goes The regular programming the regular weekly programming will not be back on schedule yet But you'll hear from jeff burton from dell junior from brad darty from dell jared from steve letard out the analysts that we have a about. What's going on that week. What happened the week before We'll do a couple of those week. I think doing every monday. And every wednesday starting right after the daytona five hundred and obviously with nbc. Sports were all in the middle of a lot of things You texted me in the middle of the twenty four hour race in. It's like what are you doing there. And i'm like i have no idea what i'm doing here you know they're going the wrong way. As far as i'm concerned so it was. It was a lot of fun to do that. Race Nbc is getting ready to pick back up and kick back off where they were at They've got the new peacock gap. They're driving a lot of people to to peacock to that network with law. Speedway's junior does mccarthy with cows and some of that stuff so it's an exciting time and i'm ready to see a year man. I'm ready for this year. Can going you know it's funny. I i kind of want to ask. Someone says a cliche question at the beginning of the year. But what is your level of excitement. Because i feel like specifically for me. It's it's so much more heightened this year than it has been in years past not that i wasn't excited in years past to get the season started because i was but it feels like everything that we experienced last year in the off season this year. It just added another level. Do you feel that same way. Yeah i do. And i'll tell you why i filled out that way as much as anything Last year last year. I did not darken the doorway on a speedway or nascar racetrack for an entire year I was born in june and went to my first race in july that same year and have been going to race tracks my whole entire life and i went a whole season without one to a racetrack. And i think the reason we all did that. and the reason nbc. The reason so many fans kept away. The reason so many things happen was because kovin and the unknown the unknown of cohen I think as we start this season better understanding of what it is. We're may be headed. There's a vaccine many things. So i think last year we drove into a dark tunnel this year. We can see the light coming out of a dark tunnel. So i think we're driving towards that light and wood that light. There's hope that is going to be a better year. There's joy that we're getting ready to come out of the darkness in something. But i i think as we look at the expectations we'd learned what these gas could do would know practice. Just drop the flag. Let's go race. We're gonna see a lot more that this year So i think the the excitement of some of the driver changes of some of the things that happened in all season Some of the things that are happening all through the sport from top to bottom and how the sport has changed in the last twelve to eighteen months We're gonna see hopefully a season of growth and not a season of. Let's just hold everybody at arm's lane you know and to your point kyle is a sport grows. It's always evolved. I mean your father. The king you know. He started racing on dirt tracks in nascar. Got a lot of wins there and his grew the tracks grew. And we've got more asphalt tracks and we've got bigger tracks. I mean even at one point in the mid ninety s we were only at two mile and a half tracks which was charlotte atlanta than we saw those grow but the current trend now is to road racing and i know you always had an affinity for road racing when you're behind the wheel as well. We got seven of them in the points paying season. Plus we kick it off with the bush clash this week on the road. Courses daytona rounded. Do you feel that our schedule is. Is this where it needs to be. I think it needs to right now. i i will say that an and without hesitation i think twit needs to be right right now. I think when we went through that growth stage and everybody was building a mile and a half racetrack. i think that's where the sport needed to be. Then and i think if we go back to win we have nothing but short tracks and dirt tracks. That's where the sport needed to grow and needed to. And so i think to your point. The sport constantly changes listen. I'll go back even farther..

"With us. We talked a moment ago about drivers that have not won the daytona five hundred and alexis and brad gilly toss brad keselowski into the mix. I you know. I normally remember who wins the five hundred but in the back of my mind. I thought well somewhere on the line. He's bound to have won that race. You know i. I think i thought that too. But that's just because in my mind he's such a good superspeedway racer that i just thought yes. He has had to have one that racist well but he he has not so. I mean that that's got to be one that he's i mean. Obviously in that you know last segment. He talked about wanting that harley trophy. That's what he's gotta be really up for thirty. Four career victories for brad keselowski. He's one most of the majors indianapolis. Of course he won that for the captain which is a big deal. One the coca cola. Six hundred this past season he won the southern five hundred not a daytona five hundred victory but with that being said quick trivia in his thirty four wins at. What track has brad. Keselowski had the most victory lane success. Anyone i guess bristowe but i. I'm not sure that's correct. Three wins at bristol. That's not correct. Good that's a good number though Today it's an excellent number martinsville. Martinsville is incorrect. Okay alexis almost answered the question. When she said he is really good at super speed. Five wins at the track where he earned his first victory. Driving for james. Finch towel. As larry mac would say talladega right. Yeah i i do think of him as being a very accomplish superspeedway racer. He's he's a hall of fame guy with that with those win totals in a championship. You get into the hall of fame. Absolute what else does he have to do to be that next level guy that we you talk about him like you talk about tony stewart. Somebody gosh i mean well. Tony stewart won three championships so a second championship a championship and thirty. Four career victories. Three majors You know i mean that. That's that's pretty big deal. A tone of five hundred. I guess would solidify that tony stewart. Never won the daytona. five hundred. Obviously a championship. I think would solidify that but i would say that what he has done in his career puts brackets lasky at a level that not many drivers have attained already. He's i think he's lead. Even though brad says well you've got to win two championships to be elite. Weren't what do you guys make out of the fact that when we kind of pushed him he said well these days wins and winning big races more important alexis than maybe winning title especially with the way you win a title. Well it's kind of interesting because we asked any hamlin that question at the at the end of last year beginning of this year you know. How would it feel to to just have a really great winning season. Multiple wins in no championship as he's had over and over again versus winning that championship with maybe a win here or owen there and he picked winning races winning multiple races. Meaning you're good over a span of the season. And i think that's kind of where brad keselowski sits in a number of drivers. Now sit because winning from start of daytona till you know we get to phoenix in multiple racist throughout the season is more well rounded good season their opinion than if you were to win a race here and then you know when the championship at the end so kyle busch said last week when he was visiting with the media that for him a goal is a five win season. That's a good season anything less. Not but he also balances it you know. He is actually had five five win. Seasons in his career of those two of those have been eight win season so he looks at it and says okay. If i have a four win season this year but an eight win season next year that helps with a balanced but he's also had five years where he's only had a single victory in his career as a fulltime driver a few years where he's had four wins a fulltime driver but that's his high watermark. Five wins is a good year for kyle. Busch anything less unless it's balanced by a bigger win season either the year prior the year after isn't good enough for him. You know when i heard denny hamlin. Give the answer to that question. I kinda thought in the back of my head will. He says that because he has yet to win a championship. But it's interesting to now hear that from former champions that are thinking the same exact way. Well brad kiss last year right. He's coming from a different spot there so his answer for that i think is a little more. Valid guys. didn't have great years last year but possibly look into bounce back. We haven't talked a lot about martin twix junior on this show over the last year or so and for good reason martin tricks to you didn't have a great year. Last year. he won one race. Read what what are you thinking. What are you looking for out of out of the nineteen and is this a bounce back for truly i would think so remember Colpon was a pretty big magical element of that team with martin true junior from furniture row and moving on joe gibbs racing and then when james small became the crew chief. Obviously they did a lot of great things. I mean look. He had that summer stretch where it seemed like he couldn't finish better or worse than third and that's not bad. The opportunities to win were their The execution in the final winds were only there one time in two thousand and twenty and i think they've got to break through and they've got to grab more trophies to make those things happen but with that being said toyota also went from in two thousand nineteen to nine wins in two thousand twenty. You know i think of trump junior is being a very good road racer and when you think about the schedule that we have this season going more road races. I think that gives him. You know some more opportunities to break into into victory lane but you know. I have to agree wholeheartedly wholeheartedly. With what brad said you know. Obviously the transition from coal pearn to you know his new crew chief. There needs to be a little bit more work there and hopefully this season they can make it happen and i think one of the things that might happen. That keeps him from getting there. Is that his teammate. Kyle busch wakes up from his two year slumber and decides to start winning some more races because of kyle starts winning races brad. Those ones that martin can't get plus kind of same thing that happened with any hamlin right. Yeah last year true. Yeah i mean he won seven races but but denny hamlin was the anomaly. Ed gibbs racing realistically and true x by all accounts didn't have a bad year but for what their expectation is. They didn't have a good year. You know the one win but again that string of great top-three finishes i mean it was there but the winds are what we remember. Nobody buys a t shirt that has a stat on it. Seven top three finishes not normally t shirts talk about wins So lutely i you know the other thing. That was interesting too. I mean you know. We saw for many years that it was kevin harvick kyle busch and mortar ex junior plus one in the championship. For that plus one could have been denny. Hamlin could have been. The gano could have been brad kozlowski. It was like a different suitor every year. This past year. Kevin harvick. Kyle busch and martin ex junior all did not make the championship for the. Elliott drives from back of the field to first NASCAR title
"Chase Elliott NASCAR's most popular driver came from the back of the field after a pre race inspection penalty to take the checkered flag in the season finale at Phoenix Raceway and drive away with the Cup series championship Elliott led seven times during the race for one hundred and fifty three laps holding off championship for contenders Brad Keselowski Giordano and Denny Hamlin who finished the race second through fourth respectively Keselowski said he was hoping for a caution to bunch up the field give him a shot to take the lead it never came seven time champion Jimmie Johnson ended his NASCAR career with a fifth place finish Jerry Jordan Avondale Arizona
Elliott races into NASCAR championship; Harvick eliminated
"The field is set for NASCAR's championship for next week to battle for the Cup series title at Phoenix Raceway but getting there required the sport's most popular driver chase Elliott to punch his ticket with a win at Martinsville speedway and that's exactly what he did to win a championship in this series you have to make the final four we see the same crowd make the final four since this deal's been implemented and we want to assert ourselves amongst the people who can make it consistently L. it was outside the cut heading into the action but he dominated the race leading two hundred thirty six of five hundred laps Elliott joins Kansas race winner joined lagana along with Brad Keselowski and Denny Hamlin in the championship hunt Kevin Harvick who won nine races in twenty twenty just missed the final round I'm Jerry Jordan
Kansas Speedway Starting Lineup: October 2020 (NASCAR Cup Series)
"Series rat of eight kicks off this weekend at Kansas despite other media members thinking it's more and other weird stuff. These are the drivers that are going to battle it out for four spots over the next three races Kurt Busch Alex, Bowman Martin tricks junior joey logano chase Elliott Brad Keselowski Denny Hamlin, and Kevin Harvick bloom that is a star studded pack of drivers there for sure. So eight races will be pared down to four for Phoenix. which is going to be the round of four, which is only one race I guess but I mean look at look at that lineup, you've got one, two, three, four, five champions. You've got the guy who's the perennial second place Cinderella story that never gets it done at any Hamlin the most popular driver and Chase Elliott, and then Alex Bowman as well. The future forty-eight drivers. That's pretty cool and we've got a great mix of manufacturers. Yeah. Yeah. No joke I mean we've got a pretty good representation of everything here. We got to Chevy's two toyotas. Fords right that were at. I see in three three chevys. Sorry. Three Chevy Chevy three forwards and two Toyotas. That's pretty good. especially when you consider how few Toyotas are in the field. That's that's par for the course you're only gonNA get two of them in there but that's that's a pretty impressive field of drivers for this. Finally, all right Kansas speedway opened in two thousand and one it's bad fast on the list of top ten fastest tracks, which is a weird list. Drivers, of course, have to dodge rows and rows of corn and wheat growing right there on the racetrack in between the workers and the cracks. would. That might not be true.

"This is NASCAR. Live now back to Mike Bagley. Welcome back to the spar. Live America's having some tough conversations right now NASCAR is no different. We've all seen the news and the inequality that plagues our nation, and we've seen the responses leading to protests that's taken a stance and so have the drivers Kurt Becker takes us through NASCAR's acknowledgement of social injustice. Over the weekend in Atlanta the NASCAR community came together showed it support for racial equality and pledged to advocate for change for the field went into cup series cars were held at the start finish line in silence while NASCAR President Steve Phelps address teams by Radio Communication. Our occurred new better. Our country want to do better than time out to listen to understand. TO STAND AGAINST RACISM RACIAL GENDER. Race with leadership from Nascar seven-time champion Jimmy Johnson drivers worked together to make a video titled Who Will Listen and learn our differences should not divide us. It is our love for all mankind that will unite us as we work together to make real change to make real change as we work together to make real to each. Johnson explained why he felt making the video together was important. Our just really proud of drivers who got involved a modestly of NASCAR and what they did, but you know it's been a personal journey on a much deeper level this week for me to listen and learn, and as a striker started chatting about the week and experience in love, this was led by bubba really have to a ton of credit including ty dillon accountability to those to really put on the garage area from me directly on me, but I can just see the made made a difference in, and I think that resonate with a lot of people. In a long time this learning this week, and that message ring clear with many of my other driver friends in kind of found that message, and that was message that made it the the video. This video came on the heels of a powerful conversation between tied Dylan and NASCAR is only African. American Cup driver Bubba Wallace, that was seen on both their instagram channels and NASCAR's facebook. Both Dylan and Wallace grew up racing together. It's it's tough to say I I. Know why I'm here. I'm competitive I. Drive and no one's ever GONNA. Take that away from me. But it's every day. It's every day on my on. My mentions that that I am here because I'm black and. To the point where I just laugh now because they outlawed. Before the race on Sunday ty dillon shared by, he thought it was important to have that conversation with Bubba to hear the stories about how the help Bubba was treated in some of those situations and knowing bubbas character, knowing him as a human being that blew my mind because I never thought I just would have never thought. Bubba as a person would have gone through anything like that. Why can't we empathised to learn more and hear the stories so that we can help make a change have the right verbiage in our communities in our groups so that this problem doesn't continue on. Big Stars spoke out over the weekend, including Bonner quick trip, five hundred winner Kevin Harvick, who was part of the? We will listen and learn video for me. It's it's. You know they're just they're just. Some something has to change I. Think when you look at what happened in in Minnesota is disgraceful to to everyone to to able to have conversations about things. I'm definitely a person that wants to your plan. That has actions included an anxious try to support each other, and do the things that we can do to to try to help our communities and. Help the conversations because there's so much that everyone doesn't understand of what we need to do, and how we need to do it, but I can tell you that we need change Martin. Direct junior also spoke out following a third place finish. With the events over the past. Couple of weeks. You know that kind of brought it to to everybody's attention. Obviously, so you know hate the things that I've I've been seeing. You felt like when they were organizing a put. That video together feel like. It's something I needed to do. Just because of you know feeling so awful about how these things have have gone and so Yeah, that's all in. I'm not sure why why it's all happened here I don't know if everybody went crazy for being cooped up from the corona virus, or what, but it's Kinda crazy time hopefully there. Hopefully, these crazy times are getting ready to be over with and. And his teammate Kyle, Busch explained why the time is now to speak for all the other drivers and us all together, and and just having a say, we wanted to put out a powerful statement in a message, and so I feel like we all did that together with nast far in in went well from our standpoint, so we're happy to be able to do that and show our support on time for us to take initiative, but also to listen and learn in in. A statement released on June first NASCAR highlighted the importance of listening more and being united into stand against racism, hatred and senseless violence and loss of life. The state concluded by saying we must do better and our commitment to promoting equality and inclusion continuous and will never wave. Thank you Kurt we can all thou to do better as a sport, and we will coming up grant finger to me about his Atlanta win and later Brad. Keselowski will join us. Sir Are you were. If they were to come to you and want to feel the car for you, would you? Would you accept that opportunity? Would you look for an opportunity? Did this did this win? Saturday increase the appetite to get back on the car on a regular basis. Well this year! You know I'm I'm with NBC sports so once the season starts back up. I have the races that I still plan with. With colleague racing already said, and and that's what's great about NBC. Sports like you've worked with them, right? You know how. How good they are about. To do what we love to do so. That's schedule was set, and if there's open weekends and they want me to run ob, I'm going to do that, but. The races planned and and the things that I'm working for NBC Sports with those are set in stone so. you know next year? Opportunity being full-time. It definitely would. This race team has his piqued my interest again. After two thousand eighteen I thought there's no no way that I wanted to do that. Long of a season ever again but if I found with with Matt colleague in this Organization when you're having fun and sure, let's let's not get it wrong. Winning winning as we speak right now, winning makes everything fun, but just in general, being at the racetrack, being at the shop with with all the men and women here I really do enjoy it, and it would at least. Give me something to think about I would I can't tell you. Yes, or no right now, but I would definitely think about it. As Fair and I'm sure that they would welcome you considering recent successes and just a culture over there. And I'm sure a lot of your fans like to see a back on the racetrack as well before we let you go. There is a big moment at the start of the Cup race on Sunday Nascar is addressing social injustice. And there was a there was a message from NASCAR President Steve, Phelps and We saw a lot of of positive messaging coming out of the Atlanta weekend as as far as where this sport stands against social injustice. What were your thoughts about what you saw on Sunday and the sports stance right now going forward as it pertains to this. I, really thought with with especially with the time that we are in. Right now. WHAT NASCAR DID and and Phelps everybody at Nascar for setting that up. The driver's the industry It was fantastic, and it was much needed and. Right now, NASCAR being the forefront of of really. Just any sports on TV to be able to get that positive message out there. and to focus on. On all of us. As as men and women, just as people coming together. And focusing on the same thing that the. The right path equality. I thought it was done well and it was more importantly it needed to happen. So hopefully. This is something that as a sport and as an industry, and and just as people we can build on this. And help keep putting that same message, but more importantly putting it into action on a daily basis and. Just? All of us just generally come together and. twenty right now with the pandemic and the social injustice, a volatile time to live in, and we just need to all get together and focus on the right thing so I thought Nascar did a great job of that, but we have to keep putting that in action to make it happen. Agreed and well said my friend Becker will have more on this coming up here in just a couple of moments appreciate the time as always congratulations on the win will look forward to the next time we see on the racetrack. That'd be Sunday got one. Hundred Thousand Dollars Dash for cash, xfinity myself and Justin Haley. We got to four chance, so we go get that hundred grand, and you'll hear that race here on the motor racing network. Appreciate it. My friend safe travels. Thank you very much. That's. "Some people. Don't take a cup of tea but it's certainly different it just it seems like it's one of those things where again it. That's another thing. Drivers have have had to adapt to. It's it's been a far bigger variable. I think maybe what some people were expecting. It's about what I expected. How has it changed the playoffs in that regard in terms of like you come one of the playoffs you can look at the the ten races you can look at? Who's been good in? The past has did the package. Change anything in terms of who was good. who wasn't good in the playoffs? Really were changed much by the rules. I might be wrong on that but I haven't seen a huge effect on that now. What about the competition? I know a lot of people came into the year and said and while this might close up the competition races might for a few races where I saw some cars hit Normally at this time in the season would not be as competitive That we're pretty competitive. I think the rules just put more emphasis on the capabilities of the cars and less emphasis on the capabilities of the drivers. I wanted to ask something On a slightly different different topic is now a full year since Jim France has been at the helm of things There's been a lot of positive feedback in that regard from folks folks saying you know he's he's visible he's been engaging what have your what can you share about your interactions with him. What your impressions of him has been and and just getting adding to engage with him and what you've seen first off? He's a very nice guy. He's open he listens. which always feels good he? "Or as you said when you post up if hush tag authentic with US fan you're entered into this program and really the Grand Prize is where the winner the most authentic fan as judged by once. You're you are in your points. And then we'll we'll it's not really random but the winner will be selected from that group of people. You will get every single thing. We produce a NASCAR authentic shipped directly to your home Next year so it really is and there's a lot of stuff right. There's a lot of the stuff that comes out. So and then there's you know kind of step down to that for a second and third place which is going to get pieces pieces of the collection ship completely to their home but the the one lucky fan who is the most authentic will have every piece that we make in Nascar authentic ship. Straighten the box right in the case. Ace as the retail store would get it and so that will be there. They're prize for Being the most authentic fan. So we're real excited about it. Yeah I'm excited to when I was passed. Yes the note to help spread the word I kept looking at it and I said Oh my gosh. That sounds amazing. And it's important to note there is the grand prize and there's also a second or third. There's multiple chances this is for folks to be included here there. Are we love all the collectors of our die-cast whether they purchase it here at the track or they've got their favorite mom and pop or they buy it from us that part of the RCA. Which is why I'm here this weekend in in Miami? Got Some fans up in a Cabana. They're having a lot of fun this weekend. And they are hardcore about their die-cast we just delivered boxes and there was a cheer as boxes. Fox's came down the walkway there but you know what we tend to find in the mass retail space. The Nascar authentic piece is that do tend to be younger collectors kind of coming into the space and that's really really important for the overall hobby of collecting die-cast introducing sort of new audiences to the concept of collecting die-cast and so we really like that We do see different trends. That happened in the mass space. We see popularity of cars that may or may not be super popular in our collector. Space that actually do really really well. They're sort of the most. Oh sought out we can actually see because each one has a different. UPC We can actually see how they cross the register and sometimes when a new wave hits a retail store we can actually see the that A car maybe not the Dow junior car or maybe not chase Elliott car but actually a car that might not be available in the collector space actually POPs at retail. Tell really quickly. So it's sort of an interesting dynamic to watch a lot of interesting data and of course we try to make the most interesting wave mixes that we can keep spreading the word. I I believe that goes until about early December early December Of course we're wrapping up the season here in Miami a few more questions. I know one of the popular things that folks are already GonNa. We're looking at is what you're going to be offering for the champions of each three series I know you produce the die-cast of the champions but I think one of the questions I always see folks want to know. Is it just going to be a commemorative die-cast or whether they'll be raced version as well. We typically try to do the race version here again. This is where it sort. It gets a little interesting. Certain sponsors have some restrictions around what we can and can't do with their marks their logos So depending on who wins and which sponsor that is. Sometimes we're allowed to do special finishes sometimes not so it really depends on who wins the other interesting thing that's happened. The last several years is the person who's won the race has also been the champion so it would be interesting of course to have a Miami race winner and a champion which are actually two separate things which we've kind of wound up having be one thing in the last couple of years so you know it's GonNa be really aac depend on what happens tonight. We'll kind of take it and play it by ear. We have we do have a plan for each of them. It's it's actually fairly aggressive in terms of like the skews in the different offerings earnings. But what kind of try to blow that out roll out. Shortly after the race you'll start to see products go into market so again we're educating fans here that it all comes down to what you can and can't do with your partners and Yup Yup. Yeah and that's that's really a key part of it. Is You know we have so much industry experience and knowledge in our in our team that really work very well with With the teams with the licensing folks at each of the different teams whether it be in the cup series or the xfinity series the truck series. And there's a lot of details that go into how you actually do what we do and we really understand understand some of the restrictions and some of the rules and you know certain teams are certain sponsors only Wanna see their logo presented in a certain way and we get that and we're we try to be good partners and we really try to respect that and bring that to life in a in a cool way for the fans so what will be new on the horizon on the horizon for twenty twenty one when Lionel begins working. Sure so well you know the biggest thing obviously is going to be the new Chevy which will be coming out probably not gonNA see a whole lot of it for Daytona. Just based on timing of when that kind of comes to life were actually still tweaking. The decal package on that that will be the probably the biggest thing next year. And then really the anticipation of the twenty. One cars is probably what will will sort sort of start to happen. We'll continue to try to create exciting products and mixes in terms of finishes. We're been exploring a couple of different finishes. We are looking at a concept series around cars that kind of get tore up a little bit. So that's It's a little tease where you know that. That one's a little sensitive so we've got to be careful with that but it's a little tease. We may or may not see that. We'll we'll say we're we're we're working on that concept. It's that's right. Pay attention to what's going on but we keep exploring that with some of the some of the teams and stuff so remind everybody where they can find line products online in stores and even at the racetrack sure Solano racing dot com of courses are owned. But but you know we're distributed through NASCAR NASCAR DOT com your local mom and pop hobby places a great place to Former relationship with those guys and and get your die cast. Of course we're distributed NASCAR. Authentic is distributed attributed Through Walmart through target Minorities a partner We have some distribution some others Regional Stores cracker barrel again Of course track Come out and see the haulers. That's been really a great partnership Between M. I n. e. to who run the the HMS S. rigs this year Really did neo kind of a nice transition. We're really excited about that Going into next year so There's there's some stuff going on there and the one last thing I wanted to ask you how it is for the fans who want to get more involved with Lionel Do you guys offer memberships. Or maybe insider I. I believe on your website. There's an insider forum or maybe message boards. Are there things that folks can be more involved with Lionel. Yeah as part of the. "And I've got two interviews here for you before we jump into Our regular programming with the guest. Brad Keselowski we also have a short interview with line. CEO Howard Hitchcock Howard is here to help educate everybody on some of the processes that go into line racing kind of educate everybody on what is coming. What is new the year in review for line racing and answer some questions that I think all of the Die Cast S.? Collectors will find interesting. Such as what goes into making your favorite die-cast what is coming for twenty twenty and also shedding some light on that promotion of telling you guys about for the last couple of weeks that Lionel Authentic Offenses Program where you can submit your die cast collection or stop motion video to line on instagram or twitter using that Hashtag authentic fan. So that is gonNA come up before we get into our conversation with guest Brad Kazlauskas Brad. Great Guests Isla Brad. Great Interview One of the best Interviews I think in the NASCAR garage but I feel like I blew this one. I've got to be honest with you guys and I'm sure you're going to give me feedback after this episode. I had gotten some time with Brad to record this podcast and I feel like I blew it. Brad was great. Brad is always great but I feel like I just was underprepared. And when you're underprepared for Breslau ski you Kinda feel like an idiot so this conversation sation again is great. Brad is great. I just underprepared in my questions. I should have had more. I should had better questions and I didn't do it so Maybe you guys will feel differently. Please tell me what you think. Interview but Brad was wonderful so brad just wrapped up his tenth full year the Nascar Cup series so we reflect on that we talk about the rules package. We talk about Kinda I know what has been the highs and lows for the team. This year he won a couple races made the playoffs but did not advance to the championship for and he's only done that one time in his career so really Kinda missile searching on how to get through the playoffs and get back to that title race so we talk about a bunch of different things kind of cover a wide variety of ground with Brad. But again I just feel like I could have been better could have better questions had more questions to better fill out the time that I had with Brad Keselowski to footnotes for this interview. You're going to hear two do things in the podcast. The first is Brad says he wants to get to thirty wins and I didn't correct him at the time because I knew he had thirty wins. But I didn't WANNA correct wrecked Brad on what his numbers weren't so Brad says he has twenty nine. Brad actually has thirty Career Cup series win so we're going to have to correct him on that he's already hit the number that he's been searching for he wants to get to that thirty win mark that's one of the things on his list of accomplishments. The second footnote is we were talking about speeding. Penalties near the end of the podcast and Brad thought he had won. I thought he had one. We were thinking of Michigan. When in fact Brad went the entire two thousand nine hundred season without a speeding penalty so zero speeding penalties? I filled him in on that on twitter but Yeah not twenty nine. Thirty wins for the driver of the team. So let's get to it again. The first conversation you're going to hear is with myself. And Howard Hitchcock Hitchcock of Lionel kind of running through some questions again to kind of educate people online all the process and things have been going on for them so anybody who is a collector. Elector is really going to enjoy that. And now we're going to jump into our conversation with two thousand twelve NASCAR Cup series champion Brad Kozlowski. So let's get too busy week. Here on the racing writers podcast.
