Recapping Everything We Know About Arizona With Tyler Bowyer

"Boyer is here. Many of you know him from the last, it feels like a long month this last week. It's been a long year this last week. We've been everywhere and I'm telling you what. Again, I just want to reiterate for the entire audience, Charlie. There are only a few states that matter for 2024. We happen to be sitting in what I think is number one or number two. I think it's a really hard call to say that you've got Arizona. You've got Georgia. You've got Wisconsin. Those three states are going to really determine what the future of the fate of the country is going to be in 2024. And I'm, you know, we've been we've been working hard. We've been busting our tail. But I'm infuriated because the national apparatus, the national Republican apparatus has not taken that seriously here in Arizona. They just have it. And so we are now staring down doing everything we can, claw, tooth, nail, everything to make sure Abraham Hamid gets across the finish line. And I know that people are following that very closely. I've been throwing up 304 votes. Right now. Subject to change, obviously. And he's got to win in order to give us any kind of fighting chance for the future of Arizona. He's got to win. And so God bless those we've seen a lot of haters come out, a lot of moderates who did nothing. In fact, they were working against us. Working against conservatives in Arizona throughout this and now it's very clear that they were doing that. And now they have the gall after we are about to win or barely barely lose like a hair lose for Carrie or hair loose for Abe, our hair lose for these other guys. I mean, even Blake was like 2%. Our issue here is that now those people are coming out saying, oh, the Republican Party needs to refine itself. This is Liz Cheney stuff, guys. Let's change. You just got body slammed. If we want to get body slammed like Liz Cheney across the ballot, listen to these people. The heroes of Arizona this week were the ones that were chasing ballots and curing ballots because Abe amade. When he wins, it will be because of the cured ballots.

There Are So Many Good Stories Out of the Midterms...

"So many good stories out of the midterms. We're not talking about desantis by 20, even Brian Kemp one convincingly in Georgia, Greg Abbott, just obliterated Robert Francis o'rourke. I mean, just ran over and Greg Abbott actually won independence in Texas, which is so interesting. Lombardo won in Nevada. But it's just, you know, in Arizona in particular. I mean, I'm shocked and I'm just looking at the numbers as they are. And I'd love to have somebody walk me through them. I'd love to have somebody tell me how on earth this is conceivable how it's possible how Carrie Lake could win game day in person election day voting independence two to one and then lose them if somebody dropped off ballots. It's just, and we're going to have the final numbers tonight. So just so everyone knows, there's anywhere between 90 to a 100,000 Maricopa ballots remaining. I think they're actually might be more than that. In fact, I just got a text message here for anyone listening from Arizona, okay? Anyone from Arizona listen to this. I want to, I want to talk about this. He said, by the way, your advice to cure vote was a good one. My wife and I voted at 6 a.m. on election day. My vote was tabulated, but my wife and I, among them, was among the majority of people around whose ballot couldn't tabulate. We checked our status and currently neither of us are currently listed as having voted since the primary. So we're going to have Tyler Boyer on to kind of walk through what to do here, but there is a chance that again, it's a chance. I'm not saying that it's a good chance, but knowing Maricopa's incompetency, there's a chance that there's tens of thousands of ballots in adjudication in different buckets that haven't been tabulated. And that would end up kind of closing this turnout gap that currently is a little bit mysterious right now. So

Charlie Issues a Wake up Call With the Elections Just Weeks Away

"If you live in a state like Georgia or Arizona or Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, it's worth a kindly written email, but focused email asking your local officials if they are prepared to have the infrastructure and the personnel to be able to facilitate a massive red wave on election day. So for example, in Arizona, they do all this goofy stuff and Tyler Boyer from turning point action to such a great job of explaining it from the best of my knowledge, and he's educated me and Austin Smith, who's going to be a new state rep. In Arizona's educated me as well. And we have a lot of friends. Obviously, we're headquartered in Arizona. Is that they've got rid of precinct voting and it's now voting center and it's conceivable these voting centers, there's less of them, less places to go vote. It's conceivable that thousands and thousands and thousands and thousands of people are going to show up across the valley and they have to print ballots. They have to literally create ballots at the voting center to then facilitate the people that are showing up in record numbers, I do not trust the Arizona board of elections. I do not trust the Georgia board of elections. I do not trust the Pennsylvania board of elections. I don't trust any of these to be able to facilitate this massive red wave. And so someone emailed us freedom at Charlie Kirk dot com and they said, on election day, I'm bringing a fold up chair and staying as long as it takes. Good. But most people won't, and they're going to try to create a deterrent. They're going to try to create a backlog. They're going to try to create a traffic jam. They think they can stop the red wave if there's a traffic jam on election day. So two things need to be communicated. Number one, all of you that are listening that are planning to vote on election day plan to do nothing else. You just got a plan for 5 or 6 hours. If you get out in 20 minutes, praise God, you're the lucky one.

Tyler Bowyer on Mitch McConnell's Money and Blake Masters

"Gears we're going to talk about Arizona Tyler Boyer is here. Arizona expert. We have one minute and then we have a short break and then a 5 minute thing. What's going on with McConnell and Blake masters? Look, here's the here's the download McConnell has done nothing here in Arizona. Zero. By doing zero, you're actually hurting us. More than you're helping at all. So part of this is because Mitch McConnell just can't get on board with the fact that Blake masters is the best in a candidate, maybe in the country. And he's scared of him and all that and that's going to get knocked off where a team and Mitch McConnell needs to come in and invest big time in Arizona, especially with this in striking distance. Yeah, and so some people are saying, oh, we don't need McConnell's money. I'm going to explain why you do. And kind of how this whole process works and how hard it is to raise money. The NRSC has said that they're adding a 7 figure investment, but we don't know, no specific 7 figure. We don't know what it's going to be spent on, but it's a shift. I mean, McConnell pulled out a couple of weeks ago and he's coming back in because this is a very winnable race. Yeah, no, so I mean, Mitch McConnell, months and months ago, said that, I mean, basically that, oh yeah, we're going to get involved and then all of a sudden did nothing in Arizona. But the reason why this is important is because Mitch McConnell has been talking to donors for not just months, but years. Saying like, this is the biggest battle of our lifetime. 2024, Republicans are going to mop the floor with Democrats on the Senate level.

Tyler Bowyer Explains What Americans Can Do Ahead of the Midterms

"Talking for some time here about the midterm elections and how it's starting to trend better, but we got to put in the work we have to put in the work. You got to do your ten by ten. You got to find ten people who find ten people to go vote. But I always ask people to say, Charlie, I want to save the republic. We actually had this at a turning point event resolution. How many doors are you not going to? Well, I don't knock on doors. Well, then you're not doing what you need to do. To help us walk through this and also just rank choice voting and all things politics is the mastermind behind turning point action, Tyler Boyer who actually joins us remotely first time in a while. Tyler, welcome back to the program. Hey, what's up, Charlie? We're on the road. Getting ready for another 30 to 40 events this month, knocking doors, tens of thousands of doors every weekend, but attorney point action. So we're excited about what's coming up here in the key target states. It's great. It's TP action dot com and so before we get into some of the specifics of what's going on, Tyler, walk us through the events this weekend, the super Saturday that we're having here in Arizona. Yeah, so we actually have an important one coming up. Right, not far from our headquarters and mesa, Arizona. Where we are knocking doors and the key target area and mesa, what a lot of people don't realize is happen in many of these key target states. The Democrats had known and focused on redistricting in a big way. And so Arizona has been at the epicenter of the redistricting battle. And there's about four districts in Arizona that are purple. Yeah, they're very close to being overtaken by Democrats, and that was intentional for the next ten years. And so essentially what we're doing is making sure we're focusing on those areas first, to hold those as Republican and conservative and put those in conservative hands. And help save the state. And that's happening, not just in Arizona, but in Georgia and Michigan and Wisconsin. Ohio and Florida right now as well.

Tyler Bowyer and Jack Posobiec React to Canada's Assisted Death Law

"Boyer got him one from turning point action. So Tyler, I know, I don't know if you're listening to that last segment. And I wanted to have you want to talk about everything that turning point action is doing and we will do that and we'll do in a midterms update. But man, the emails that we're getting out on this last segment about the, it's mass euthanasia. I don't know how to put it. It's mass euthanasia going on up in Canada. What is your take on this? The emails, they're just flying in and applying it. It's so sad to see, I mean, look, I mean, this is the reality of what Marxism does to the greater body of a country and leadership really matters. And so look at the end of the day, you know, I think you just tweeted this out yesterday as a world without religion is a world without purpose. And understanding the less religion that we've seen across the world in an American and particularly the western hemisphere, the more sick we've seen some of our massive parts of our society become. And I can tell you this, as I know, I have a lot of friends in Alberta. Who are sick and tired of this stuff. And I think they would, I think they would, in a heartbeat, join the union here if they could. Because I think they're sick and tired of the coastal elites in Canada just dictating policy that's anti religious, anti God, anti anti human.

Tyler Bowyer Discusses Turning Point Action’s Rally with Ron DeSantis

"Boyers here who runs turning point action, Tyler, welcome back. Hey Charlie, how are you doing? We're doing great and got a big weekend ahead. Oh, huge weekend. Tell us about it. We have governor Ron DeSantis making his first stop outside of the state of Florida. Here with us at turning point action in Arizona. And so Ron is has been kind enough. We ground him backstage. We're like, hey, we need you in Arizona as soon as this primaries over. Yep. He's like, heck yes, you bet I'll come out and he's coming. And it's going to be one of the largest political events I think in Arizona this year. We already have thousands upon thousands of people we had to move to the largest venue. Theater venue that we could find, which is where we hosted Trump last year for our event, pretty historically. It's huge. It was huge. And that's what really set the tone for the Arizona race last year anyways. And so we're really excited governor desantis is going to be with the great Kerry Lake. The inspirational Blake masters and then we're going to be focusing on all our big W's, which Arizona had a ton of wins, legislatively. Yep. And so Warren Peterson, who is in the state Senate, he's awesome, one of the greatest conservatives is going to be shouting out a lot of those wins for us. And so you want to be there. It's historic. You're not going to want to miss this. It really, it's akin to the Trump rally that we hosted in 2015, I think. Which is a big turning point in Arizona history where we're actually taking back conservative ground

Tyler Bowyer Calls out Maricopa County for Pens That Smeared Ballots

"Another account of smeared ink was relayed on a social media post from conservative activist, Tyler Boyer, whose chief executive officer of turning point action that's Charlie Kirk's organization. He said we had several votes come through with the markers that got smeared in the machine, I mean, on and on. How hard is this? Penal county ran out of ballots. A voting site a Maricopa opened late after an inspector failed to report to work. The ballot shortages follow other election woes in pinal county. They sent out erroneous ballots to 63,000 voters last month. Well, if Carrie Lake is only up by a few thousand, I wonder if erroneous mailed out ballots to 63,000 could come into play, huh?

Tyler Bowyer of Turning Point Action Unpacks Last Night's Elections

"I'm joined by Tyler Boyer. Runs turning point action is a great job. He's also the committee man for the state of Arizona. He were up to like 5 a.m. last night. It was a long night, but it was a fun night. Boy, there's a lot to unpack, but let's start with just the top line news. First, let's go from east to west. Michigan Tudor Dixon won, two open doors. Very exciting candidate. Yeah, tutor, we actually know pretty well. She's actually been a big supporter of turning point for a long time. So we're really excited to form a rap host. Former Rafa's wonderful. And yeah, I think that you saw some of that carryover too. I mean, Michigan is a Trump state. Clearly. Because John Gibbs. This is the other one we want to talk about. We had absolutely on if you looked on paper 20 years ago and you saw a candidate like John Gibbs, you'd be like, the guy has no shot, right? Yep. And today it's a different world where the electorate is paying a lot more attention. And Peter Meyer and his whole gang of like just do whatever you want and don't care about the Republican Party. Those days are over clearly. Well, they are over. He lost. Yeah, and so Peter Meyer and voting for impeachment. Super snake. It's more than that though. I mean, some people are talking about, we'll talk about Meghan McCain's tweet today. We'll get to Arizona. We're going to get to what we'll get there, but the establishment, what they don't understand and what they are really dealing with right now is they haven't worked with the Republican Party for years. They haven't cared about the Republican Party. They haven't cared about the grassroots. And what we're seeing is this whole revival of this real grassroots movement, something that you saw, you know, like in the 70s, really start to cause the Reagan revolution. And I think that's where we're at right now,

Tyler Bowyer Is Concerned About Arizona's Election

"Boyer's here from turning point action here in Arizona, Tyler, you believe there is reason for concern. Here in Arizona, what's going on? Yeah, I mean, look, Charlie, I've been out the polls all morning. 6 a.m., our team at turning point of action has been in key target districts this morning from about 5 30 before the polls open at 6. And we've been out there and it's been slower than I would expect in some of these Republican areas. Which was terrifying for, I think, some of the maga candidates that you would look at, the Trump endorsed candidates, the more conservative candidates. I mean, guys, you only have one day, anyone that's in Arizona that's listening to this that has friends in Arizona has family interviews on it. Daily have one shot to vote and it's today. And they've got to see lower turnout than you would have expected. Then I would have expected. Yeah, I've been doing this for the last about 8 election cycles since I turned 18 and this is a this is a lot slower of a primary day than I would have expected. And it's still early in the day, so it could be fixed, people could still show up. Absolutely. But there was no kind of morning surge. Why do you think that is? Do you think it might be because maybe some of these Republican candidates like Carrie Lake and Blake masters were putting out very favorable polls and people think they don't have to go vote? Well, I mean, there's a combination of things. One is where people think that the elections in the bag, sometimes they don't show up to vote. And that's never a good policy to have. If you get out and vote for your candidate, your candidate is not going to win, and nowadays when we're dealing with Democrats in these election offices, I mean, it could be weeks before we get do you think. Do you think we'll know a winner tonight? I hope so. I hope that's the case. I mean, look, if there's low turnout today, we certainly will, because in Maricopa County in Arizona, for example, just the beast. The recorder put out, oh, you know, it might take us a few days to count all the votes. So everyone needs to just chill. Yeah, I mean, it's so bad, but

Jack Posobiec and Charlie Discuss Arizona Voter Turnout

"Everybody, Charlie Kirk here with the great Jack posobiec. Thank you guys for tuning in today. Very important day here in Arizona, Jack welcome. Thank you so much. No, this is ground zero for the republic today. If we were going to take back the Republican, it starts in Arizona. So you're going to be sick of me telling you this, but you're going to hear it from Tyler Boyer, and then you're going to hear it from me. Turnout is low. Tyler's freaking out in our group chat. I can see it, yeah, and he's been out here since 6 a.m. and what's going on. Nobody's here. We need more people. By the way. So if you are in Arizona conservative, you got to go vote, get your friends to do the same Tyler believes that turnout is so low that this means that maga candidates up and down the ballot will lose. He said, if this continues and this is the slow drip, then we're going to get blown out. Here's the thing. The issue that the issue that you're talking about is complacency. And this is a broader question for the midterms nationwide too. Is that we keep saying red wave, you and Blake talked about this yesterday. If you keep saying red wave red wave red wave, everything's fine. Everything's fine. Well, okay, but you have to actually go out and make it happen. Yeah. So just assume that that's not going to happen. Put that aside and say, okay, what can I affect action action action for the war room audience? Go out there and make a plan. And then by the way, if you know that you're going to vote, go and do what we used to do in 2016, we called it maga three X and what is maga three X? That is, you make a plan to bring yourself and you find three people, three people that maybe they're in your family that weren't planning to vote and you make sure that either you bring them with you if people hear you. You can do 5 if you want to go 5. In the group chat of one guy that I know really well, just moved here and he's like, hey Charlie, you know, what do you think about all this? Aren't the elections corrupt? I said, if we're going to keep being friends, you got to go vote. You literally texted me a video of him voting for Blake masters and voting for Kerry Lake. I was like, Charlie's constantly spamming the group chat. Just so you guys know, it's constant.

What a Disappointment Rep. Peter Meijer Turned Out to Be

"Couple summers ago and turning point action was starting a series of super Saturdays, turning point action did a series of door knocking, campaigns across America, organized by the great Tyler Boyer and the whole turning point action team separate from the educational ventures of turning point USA. So I remember I was in Chicago and I drove to Grand Rapids, Michigan. That's not an easy drive for those of you that have done it throughout the night because the next morning we are starting our door knocking for a certain candidate in western Michigan. I got up very early and rally the troops and told everybody that in western Michigan, we need to put our forces together to go get a certain person elected by the name of Peter Meyer. Now mind you, I don't know why we endorsed Peter Meyer largely because I thought it was a flip district or something like that, a way to kind of gain ground. But what an incredible disappointment and let down. Peter Meyer in western Michigan has become. He has become a camera seeking attention grabbing self righteous congressman who voted for the impeachment of Donald Trump was like one of the first things he did right out of the gate. He sprints to try to go on cable television at every single corner imaginable. And he's someone I have very little respect for. And he's got to go and he's got to go right now. And there is a great candidate running

"Soul. You, Rick, you go beyond the idea that Christians are supposed to kind of stay away from politics or whatever. You say what is biblical, where to be the conscience of the state, where to get in the face of the state and declare what God says, otherwise we can not be a blessing. Otherwise, we can not be salt and light in a decaying culture. That's really why we get saved. We don't get saved and then we're translated to glory. We're still here. We have work to do, but so many Christians think, well, it's very strange. I don't know what they think. Obviously, it's crazy. They don't have a worldview that makes any sense. Tell us about this. The church has failed to teach, and this is the gut problem. This is the heart problem. The problem is not at its core political. The problem at its course, theological. And that's why it's feels funny for me as an attorney and a political activist writing a book that so heavy on theology. But the problem at its heart is theological. Does the almighty creator God who created me who redeemed me have the authority to tell me what to do. That's the central question. Is every word of God pure read someone 19 sometime. It's an ode from David to the word of God, the law of God, the commandments of God, the truth of God. I wish I could memorize a chapter a chapter with a 176 verses, but read it, love it, live it. The church has failed to teach the whole council of God. We're teaching the half great commission we're teaching only about the afterlife and not about what to do here. We're not teaching about family or not teaching about the proper relation of the church to the state, we're not teaching about economics. The Bible is full of economics. Proverbs is full of economics. Jesus teaching on the landlord and the vineyard, the owner of the vineyard, it's my money to do it as I please. And it's a proud statement allowed statement in favor of free markets and capitalism. The idea of free contracts between the owner of the vineyard and the laborers, the Bible is full. My former government professor at Liberty University, Kevin clausen, said the Bible speaks from everything to a to Z agriculture to zoning. And Eric, when we only tell people about the afterlife portion of the scripture, which is the most important part, to be sure. But if that's all we teach, we are leaving our people. We're leaving are the parishioners in our churches utterly incapable of dealing in the political and civic world with. Other isms, if you will, Marxism, other belief systems, Marxism, social justice, socialism, utilitarianism, the idea that what's best for the most people is morally right. All these philosophies tell their adherence how to deal with your everyday. Isn't that the point of if you do not bring the truth of scripture into every part of the world, there's no neutral ground. You will then have wicked ideas brought into those parts of the world. And you've just mentioned it. So we need to understand that it is our duty as Christians to be a blessing to others by doing this. This is not we're confronting people. We are bringing God's truth and blessing into the world. And of course, there's going to be conflict. But the idea, this satanic idea that this is not our job, that we need to stay away from that, that that is not God's fear. It is, it's going to harm people. If we're called to love people, and if you want to love people, you have to speak God's truth in every sphere. You have to be willing to do that. We're out of time, Rick, I wish we had more time. I'm excited about the book. I hope many people will get a copy, folks. It is God, Caesar and idols, the church, and the struggle for America's soul, we need to understand this. It is a vital, vital issue, and I recommend it to you. Rick Boyer, thank you for the book, and thank you for your time. God bless you. Thank you, Eric. Appreciate everything you do. God bless..

"boyers" Discussed on The Eric Metaxas Show

"I mean, I'm not kidding. The book that I have coming out in the fall letter to the American church, it touches on all this stuff. You, however, you go deeper and you touch on a lot of stuff that I don't touch on in my book. So I'm just thrilled that you have brought your mind to bear on this issue. You've mentioned so many things just now. Bond hoffer said the church is the conscience of the state. And people don't understand what that means. It means just what you said, that we have an obligation, it's a huge obligation. So our job is not just to be meek and evangelistic when we get an opportunity, our job is to speak the truth of God for the sake of those who don't know it, who need to hear it. And so when you think about somebody like John the Baptist, I mean, imagine if John the Baptist had had the view of some evangelicals today like Andy Stanley or he would have said, well, you know what? I don't want to I don't want to push away Herod or anything like that because he might get saved. I don't want to say anything incendiary. That's not a gospel issue. I'm going to keep my mouth shut on that issue. And you think no, in the scripture, he says this thing. He's willing to die for it. He's not afraid of death because he knows God has defeated death or will defeat death on the cross. He knows who God is and he knows that he is obliged to speak the truth and let God worry about the details. And so he does it, but today many people who don't understand what you just said and what I've been trying to communicate, they would say, well, that's incendiary language. He should have kept that to himself. Just keep that in the church building on Sunday morning. And you say, well, wait a second. This is scripture. The heroes in scripture said these things, Jesus actually said. She is a many things. And you think if it was only about evangelism, if it was only about staying in your narrow little religious salvific lane, you would never say those things. And you say, well, Jesus said them. So Jesus. We have made a tremendous error in allowing ourselves to buy this idea. You mentioned earlier to the idea that Christianity is just a Sunday morning thing that happens in that building. You can have that kind of faith in China. But when you come out of that building, you bow to the secular authority of the state. There are many Christians in America today buying into that satanic view that two tiered version of things and as you know, it's not just wrong. It's wicked. It is. And I talk a lot about this. Whether we, whether we take the word of God as authoritative, made Paul says, time and time again, he says the word of God is profitable for reproof for correction for doctrine for instruction in righteousness that the man of God may be perfect for thoroughly furnished unto all good works. All good works that everything that's necessary for life and godliness is contained in that book for godliness, yes, but also for life. And Dorothy sayers said, how can people be impressed by religion that doesn't even speak to 9 tenths of their life, then modern evangelical Christianity risks not speaking to 9 tenths of their life. The scripture talks of that marriage that talks about training children that talks about government. If I have a life verse, it's from proverbs where Solomon says deliver those who are staggering away to death. And those who are being led to slaughter hold them back. And if you say we did not know this, does not, he consider it who weighs the hearts. And will he not render to every man, according to his works. And we're losing, we've lost 70 million babies now to the abortion culture. The false God, the God of convenience. And we've sacrificed 70 million of our children are not God. And most Christians do not their life is not impacted by that in any significant way. And it's difficult to call yourself a believer if you go to church and the other 6 day is you're an unheard of on the central moral issue of our time. But Eric it's always been this way. I mean, a lot of Christians defended slavery. It was a handful who determined that when there's a fugitive slave law on Caesar says I can't help the slaves escape. God tells me I must. It was a handful who were willing to challenge Caesar because they had to love their neighbor first. I got to tell you, you know, as I say, Rick, it's an encouragement to me to hear you say all these things. Because I touch on them and my book, which comes out in September, your book's been out for a couple of months here. But these are, these are big issues. These are central issues for the church in America today. And ladies and gentlemen, you need to understand this stuff because if you don't, you're part of the problem. You don't want to be part of the problem. You don't want to be drifting along. You want to be the one who says, I got it right. I spoke out against slavery in 1850. I spoke out against what the Nazis were doing in 1935. Don't pretend that you would have been one of those people if you're not effectively doing it now with the issues that confront us because you're not going to be right back talking to Rick Boyer, the book is God, Caesar and idols. Folks, have you purchased a copy of God Caesar and idols. It's the book I'm discussing now with the author Rick Boyer, the subtitle, the church and the struggle for America's soul..

Folks, welcome back, talking to Rick Boyer, BOY ER, the book. It's an important book. God, Caesar and idols, the church, and the struggle for America's soul. So you were just saying Rick about the separation of church and state and that balance and please continue your thoughts. We have the balance exactly backwards, Eric. We think we need to keep the church out of it so the state can do its properly God ordained role. That's the opposite. And if you look at scripture and I think people get confused because when Jesus came, Jesus really was not involved politically. I mean, that wasn't his mission. His mission was to die for souls. When the son of man has come for one specific purpose. To seek and to save that, which was lost. That was his only mission. His mission was not to, and yet we talked about and where he says render to Caesar what Caesar and to God what's gods. And that was a very seditious political statement. But if you look at so many of the elder leaders throughout scripture, all the way up to and including John the Baptist, John the Baptist did not lose his head for saying behold the lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. John the Baptist lost his head for telling the heathen king. And you remember, we're not talking about. This is the land of Israel, but it's a Roman government that appoints a wicked heathen king from edom, king Herod, as the king over God's people. So the edomites had no laws that said you couldn't have your brother's wife. The Romans certainly had no law that said you can't have your brother's wife. So when John the Baptist goes to the king and says it is not lawful to have your brother's wife, he is telling the king you a heathen king representing a heathen government over God's people are accountable to the law of almighty God and it is not lawful for you to do this. That's what cost him his head when Elijah looking back at the Old Testament. Elijah could have just practiced his own religion, but Elijah was unwilling to do it. Elijah ordered king ahab. He said there will be no rain or due until I say otherwise, and I want you to bring all Israel to mount caramel that we're going to have a clash of gods on the top of the mountain. And the God who delivers by fire let him be God. So he orders the king. He says, you come up here. You call all Israel. We're going to have this contest. And then after the contest is over, the logic goes down to the brook kid Ron and he kills all the profits of bail. There is a, the proper role of the church is the conscience of the state. The proper role of the charges of the ambassador of Jesus Christ to a wicked world that doesn't want to hear from him. And when we fail in that role, when we fail in half of the great commission, you can not call yourself a great commission church if you tell people only how to go to heaven when you die. If you do not, I knew I would enjoy talking to you because.

The Misinterpretation of Romans 13 With Rick Boyer

"What else do you say in the book, Rick? Talking let me give you just one example of how this improper misinterpretation of Romans 13 affects us. Back in 2013 or 2014, just before the Supreme Court's obergefell decision that purported to mandate gay marriage all across the country. You had a rogue federal judge in Alabama who ordered Alabama judges to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples. While chief justice Roy Moore, at the time, was chief justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. And he said, no, he said the Alabama constitution defines marriage as one man and one woman. This is God's standard. This is the Alabama constitution standard. There's nothing in the federal constitution that would overturn this, and this rogue federal judge has no authority. You must issue marriage licenses only to heterosexual couples. Well, Russell Moore, no relation, who at the time was the head of the ethics and religious liberty commission for the Southern Baptist convention. He wrote a terrible piece demanding that if Christian leaders, Christian politicians, Christian judges can not enforce whatever they're told to enforce because of their convictions that they must resign and protest and just protest quietly as a citizen. Well, he'd forgot to tell Daniel this. When king Darius said, you can not pray to any God or man, but me for 30 days, Daniel didn't resign his position as the chief man in the kingdom, the number one of the three presidents underneath of Darius, in order to in order to retire to his closet or his church and keep his faith to himself while 6 days a week. He opened his window towards Jerusalem the same place he always did where he knew the people who were trying to trap him would see him do it. This was civil disobedience. It was protest. It was, again, a declaration that God is God and Caesar is number two. You look at Daniel's three Friends. Everybody else is bowing on the plane of dura to the statue to the golden statue. Daniel's three Friends didn't resign their positions. They didn't have some peaceful protests in their home or their church. They stood there on the plane of dura in front of the king in front of all the kings leaders in front of the whole nation, civilly disobeying and saying, we will not bow.

"Back. I'm talking to the author of God, Caesar and idols, Rick Boyer. So Rick, let's keep going. What is it that churches are missing a book came out very recently. It really was like a nightmare to look at it. It's by Andy Stanley, very prominent pastor. And talk about getting it wrong. Talk about writing something that's potentially going to mislead millions. He talks basically makes the opposite case that you make in this book. And or that Nancy makes, or that I make, and I just think, wow, this is scary when a leading pastor is getting something this basic wrong, because we're in the lip of catastrophe in this country. If we don't bring our faith to bear, so what other issues do you go into related to this? Well, talking about truth, we devoted an entire chapter to the concept of absolute truth. And if you look at the George barna surveys, the number, the percentage of American Christians who don't believe in absolute truth, we believe that all roads lead to God and anyone who believes in some kind of a God sincerely at some point is going to be okay on the other side of the grave. Just this sort of the idea that anything goes that anything is okay, your truth is your truth and my mind can be mine. The Bible is absolutely intolerant of that idea. I mean, the Bible is insistent, make Paul talks about if Christ does not risen in our preaching his vein, your faith is in vain. You are yet in your sins. If God is wrong on even one little point, then how do we trust him on anything? And eternal security is a giant game of Russian roulette, as I say in the book. If Jesus is wrong, when he says it's one man for one woman for one lifetime because in the beginning God created it this way and the world sees us in the church as schizophrenic. When we tell them we believe in this God somewhere in this Jesus somewhere up in heaven somewhere who's going to take us to this great place called heaven when we die, but we don't take this Jesus seriously when he's here on this earth telling us in very plain terms that what God has joined together let not man put

You can't help but bring it everywhere you go. And that's why when I saw that you'd written this book, I thought, okay, so I'm not the only one who feels like we need to talk about this. So what are some of the things we talk about you talk about in the book? Well, Nancy, pierce, I have to give a lot of credit. She wrote a book called total truth. It was one of the inspirations for this book as well. I asked her for permission to basically take chapter 12 and be a book review of her book. But she talks a lot about the cultural mandate. And I talk about what I would call the half great commission. We have a lot of churches that say, oh, we're great commission churches. Let's go tell people how to come to no Jesus and then someday how to go to C Jesus. But the other half of the great commission is teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And piercy talks a lot about the cultural mandate or what she calls the first great commission where God tells Adam and Eve in the garden to dress the garden to keep the garden to be fruitful to multiply, to subdue the earth. And pierce says that is our first great commission as humankind before the fall was to build things to build societies to build cultures to build governments and systems of justice businesses and systems of commerce and enterprise. Eric Welcomes 'God, Caesar and Idols' Author Rick Boyer to the Show

"So I'm thrilled to have the author of God Caesar and idols as my guest, Rick Boyer, welcome to the program. Thank you, Eric. I can't say enough how much respect I have for you and your organization and your commitment to a biblical worldview and the people of God, it is a tremendous service to the church and to the lord Jesus Christ. You're very kind. I think many people listen to this program of course who are not committed Christians who are all over the map. Ideologically. And I think I want to help them understand even why I'm a Christian and why I know that the founders understood there is no way for America to succeed without people of deep faith. And it kind of astonishes me as it clearly does you from the way you've written the book that we have drifted away from this. So before we get into the book itself, you're a constitutional lawyer living in Lynchburg, Virginia, your liberty grad, you said your dad is a liberty grad. What led you a lawyer to write a book called God Caesar and idols, the church and the struggle for America's soul. Well, my background really is in conservative activist politics. That's what's really floats my boat, if you will, and I've done that since I was a teenager. And after the, and I guess I went to law school specifically with the idea of learning the law learning how to apply it to politics. And of course, Liberty University school of law, you get a terrific education and the biblical foundations of American law. But after the 2017 elections here in Campbell county just outside of Lynchburg, Virginia, where I live, watching a elections for school board here in Campbell county, where some candidates were talking about, hey, we need to take a stand against the transgender craziness ideology in our schools and others were saying, no, that's not a big issue. Let's just find more tax money to support more programs. And I watched my community right here in the shadow of Liberty University. Charlie Kirk's running The White House folks. I want to thank Charlie. He's an incredible guy, his spirit, his love of this country. He's done an amazing job. Building one of the most powerful youth organizations ever created turning point USA. We will not embrace the ideas that have destroyed countries, destroyed lives, and we are going to fight for freedom on campuses across the country. That's why we are here. Brought to you by the loan experts I trust, Andrew and Todd at Sierra Pacific mortgage at Andrew and Todd dot com. I want to lead with this one thing. I have a friend of mine who's a wonderful American from Dallas, whose in real estate, probably one of the top private owners of apartment buildings in the country. And he just said, hey, Charlie, I want you to see these rent inflation crazy numbers. I'm not going to say his name just to, you know, for obvious reasons. But so this is the last 30 movements, okay? So Phoenix, for example, for the last 30, the average prior rent used to be 1325 a month for his and he owns apartment buildings all over Phoenix. Now it's 1693 a month. That means that rent has gone up 27.8% on average in Phoenix. It is last 30 movements. Austin, 23%, San Antonio 21%. Dallas Fort Worth, 18%. North Carolina, 16% Houston 15%. The real inflation rate, I said this the other day, and someone laughed at me, but when they laugh at us, that's how you know we're probably right. I said the real inflation rate is 35%. I said it's right near there. For working people, that's about where it is. If you count gas, you count food, you can't travel. You count all that other stuff. So Andrew and I were talking in the break, he says, I don't know, I don't know, have we peaked too early, Andrew said of Republicans, are we going to be able to sustain this the November? I said, look at these rent numbers. You're trying to tell me people are going to keep the people in charge over this. I don't know, but someone who does know is Richard barris, from the people's pundit, and he's wearing a tie just to make me look bad. Big data polls, Richard barris, Richard. Welcome back to the program. Hey, thanks for having me back. I appreciate it. So a lot to unpack here. Let's start with kind of what happened in Ohio. What does that message send? What is your polling show? How big of a deal is what just happened in Ohio? You know, it's a big deal, Charlie, for the future of the party. The direction of the party, you know, the Trump endorsed candidates outside of JD Vance even did great. There was the first congressional district in Indiana. She won, so, you know, I mean, oh, and by the way, Ohio 9. So that was a race the media definitely was watching and trying to take out, you know, take down the Trump endorsed candidate. He did pull it off and he did incredible in an outside of Toledo, which is where a lot of people thought that Gaborone would do better. You know, so in the end, if you look at where van specifically got his support from, the reason I think a lot of these polls messed up outside of Vance's 100% correct. Outside of Remington, which was pulling for another campaign, they were just wrong. Some of the other public polls didn't really catch Vance's full support because when a pollster does a likely voter model, I suspected this was happening and it did. Those new Trump accounts, they're not really Republicans, Ohio has a lot of them. And they'll tell you, I'm going to vote. I'm likely to vote or I'm certain to vote. But then the pollster will go back and look at vote history and in a primary. If they're not a two out of four voter, meaning they voted in at least two and the last four primaries, they'll get screened out. And because these voters are newly Republican and close primary, they didn't have much vote history and you could see it all over. Mahoning, Youngstown, trumbull, the election day and wood in the northwest, just south of Toledo. That was Trump vote. That is Trump vote. And then Vance did excellent, obviously. In Cleveland, Hamilton county and the suburbs around it. So at the end of the day, it sent a very clear message. The president saw a very strong grip on the Republican Party without a doubt.

"This is one of those issues where all of a sudden 6 years from now. You might see a total change in the power in D.C. and you'll remember this conversation and you'll wish I wish I would have taken that more seriously. Why don't we take the maps more seriously? We're here with Tyler Boyer speaking on behalf of turning point action also he's the RNC committee men for the great state of Arizona. We only have about 5 minutes to go through this. Tile gets some immediate thoughts. Yeah, so just to the piggyback on the last conversation we were having. So just to put this into perspective for everyone listening, the redistricting process really started two years ago. Three years ago. So those of you that are feeling helpless now, you feel helpless because this really was happening two to three years ago and the insiders that managed this whole process, like I said in the state Arizona, it basically comes down to one person that gets to pick all the maps for the state because that one independent is the deciding vote. And so in a lot of states that where you're that way, you're going to feel helpless. So we're here to add some positive spin to it, which is how do we not feel helpless? How do we take control? Yeah, and I want to just kind of show the Democrats are mini celebrating right now. This is sleepy eye chuck Todd from MSNBC. MSN DNC, talking about, hey, the maps are actually looking pretty good. I just want to reiterate this. They're shocked. They can't believe it. They thought they were going to get clobbered, cut 90. Right now, with about half of the 2022 U.S. House district straw, Democrats are in a bit of a better position than they may be expected to be. According to the cook political reports, Dave wasserman, based on what we know so far, there will be a few more Biden won districts than there are now. How is this possible Tyler? Because I thought if chuck Todd is surprised about this, they were anticipating getting clobbered in this. Man, I hate seeing chuck Todd and just ruined your date, as I hear his voice. I miss Russia's p.m. SNP. I prefer that over DNC. But here's the reason why they're celebrating their many celebrating early right now because it's not over because a lot of these governors have to approve the maps and the Republican states. And so things could shift and swing a little bit. But they're excited because basically there was never an anticipation that redistricting was going to be awash. And it's, guys, I'm telling you right now, that's what's happened

"Was that if this was in a grocery store locally and someone could just pick it up enough to pay for shipping that we would see success and so even that process was arduous. It took almost six months from the first conversation with the fda to the day. I received my permit certification Most of that because this is truly a first market product. They didn't even know how to permit my business. And so it was because you never see oysters. Is they're in cans. But that oversaw for gumbo or fried or see them live like you would cry here. Yeah yeah so long story short. We figured out how to get his permit it and we got it permit to approved then and this was probably i dunno march or april. I think when we finally started legally being able to sell wholesale so we had this little box you know. Cardboard box printed are cut out and stickers labels that we put on by hand and Started making sales calls and like eleven of the twelve first retail stores. I popped in to show the product. They order on the spot. You in the stores here. Yes anger like a dozen on the website. There's a there's a retail partner page all listed boone. Got about a dozen retail partners so for joey's and lafayette's big carrier the apears. Probably our top mover of showings and delcom Was one of the. I was really wanting was one of my first year. Kind of coming full service. Grocery store on the banks of bayou carlin and then a couple of other meat markets downs and scott carries them and we've got a few partners in Baton rouge was getting the freezer section would exactly And so recently right before hurricane ida hit actually the week before we finally received are printed boxes. So i had some really nice boxes designed instead of having the slap a bunch of labels on it by hand and this is obviously much more scalable than have to apply label so we've begun conversations now With rouses and super one foods to start to go after some larger retail placement. So just just excited about the potential. It's not every day you get to have a first market product. you know. it's like a say. We're not a salsa company competing for shelf space on a shelf with twenty sauces like it's the only from is the only retail grilled oyster. Get out there. So if you if you're interested in the product the only option you have for now so we're excited it's been it's been a great the the stores that do have it. They're moving them. Yes so it's not a they're just sitting in the freezer and they're they're they're getting some such a delicacy and i'm fascinated with the seafood industry. My neighbor jim. Changing experience were still in your twenties. And i mean i can see how they'd be life changing due to bring all the food or did they had buyer's a the correct. Yeah so we went into it and but it was. It was a lot of adapting on the fly. Because you're dealing with a with with the chinese health department which is quite a bit different than than the american so we like with costumes to some degree. Even though we're we're getting products locally sometimes we received product that we could use for whatever reason it got shut down in quarantine than we couldn't we couldn't touch it so you're you're constantly having daily having to manipulate your menu and change your plan and and evolve and so for me that having that experience especially at such a young age or i had the energy to to actually do it. It was tunnel life lessons on on. Just sort of you know. Not a marine black. The adapt and overcome mentality of of the military is kind of what related to that. There was so much effort and energy that went into executing that whole three week period. That you have that experience for the rest of your life to look back on and say well look did this. I can do i can do that. I was thinking that when you were speaking if you could survive that with all the barriers that you had not that running your own places are easy here in the states but survived experienced the to fall back on roy relate to you really couldn't quit. I mean they they were depending on you. Front probably quit. We make it sound like it..

"Yeah. He's got paul martin's american grill. Now which is probably twenty or thirty locations Started on the west coast. led a group to work laugh. Yeah it was. I mean the education. I i always. I always say that you know so so fleming's was actually owned by outback or now it's called bloom brands inc. So it's you know. They had five or six national brands. It was a four and a half dollar business. When i was there and before i left out i had elevated through to being a regional corporate chef. So not only that. I run my restaurant. But i oversaw the culinary operations of Twelve other locations in like six or seven states so the experience i got there and neither business education component all taking advantage of all the corporate trainings that you're able to kind of utilize as you work your way through an organization like that I don't think i could have gotten that that training or that education anywhere even if you went to business school. It's never going to be that specific toward operating food service. Food service restaurants businesses especially at such a young age. I mean you started super. Young i did. Yeah i think. I was twenty four twenty five when i when i made jeff partner and it was just a couple of years after that i became a regional chef and then we moved back home after having our first child Kind of needed. The village need some support so before we jump into that. How were you selected to cook at the olympics. That must have done an incredible honor. Yeah that was a really a life changing experience so the credit goes to my wife so so my wife's name's katie. Katie is is gonna economics degree but she's she's also got a culinary degree from johnson and wales and denver so she's a pastry chef by trade and so katie actually cooked with a a catering company kind of forget how the story goes where she she met. This company was she cooked. In the torino olympics in italy two years prior And really ran a bake shop for them for the entire. So the company's called behind the scenes catering think they're out of orlando but they have all the nbc contracts. They travel with nbc. They do the olympics. And the you know the the What the masters in some of the they do the big the harsh races so they invited to come back for beijing. And so i was. I was a sous-chef at the time of the flemings in san antonio and we just kept like send my resume with every every communication she had. It was like we went away. Yeah we weren't. We weren't even engage the time and so it turned out just a month or two before the olympics before their work was to begin behind the scenes catering landed some ancillary third party contracts to cater for the johnson and johnson and omega the watch company. They're big olympic pavilions on the olympic green. So it's like they're they're demo spaces right and so that for me was an unbelievable experience so i had an opportunity to run the sort of those two events or those two pavilions I would start the day like an.

I feel like people are making fun of him. I don't like it fun. yeah. I don't like oh isn't it sweet and isn't a kid and as i as a human being who can walk and talk and communicate with people do you think they put them up in the a kick me sign on his back out. No put it this way. It's not that. I don't like them points. I don't like the big fuss. Okay they're not splitting the atom not expressing myself well which is not good for a talk show host. So they've gone back to their infancy. Ooh look their babies walking. Yeah it's his first step. It's a marvel that they can do this. It's like no it's not they're human beings have done more in their life than you'll ever do it just i don't. I don't like them being made into a spectacle. What's it like having blackheart and so i didn't think i was going to reach. You didn't so you're like that you're the leader of the cheerleaders of old people doing things. I'll make especially remember that video of those two old people freak dancing kind of that kind of went viral. A little bit gums accusing ever try to be raising entertainment. I absolutely see what you're saying. It is exploits nobody yes. He's on both sides on both sides. I can't tell you how satisfying that is for everybody. That's why you'd make such a great talk show host. I see it but then again. I don't i'm against it but i am not for it. Well done usually it's exploitation of the elderly.
