"You must not do more to restore livelihood and normalcy protections. The governor's focus has been and always will be protecting the lives and livelihood of Texans. Then later, Abbott tweeted. The Biden administration is recklessly releasing hundreds of illegal immigrants have covert into Texas, The Biden administration must immediately and this callous act that exposes Texans and Americans to covet. So much so much unity there from from Joe Biden. And by the way they are, they happen to be exactly correct. Americans get to decide for themselves what they wish to do. And that has not changed right. They're gonna be areas where there's a lot of covert hesitancy. And that's okay. If you don't wanna go out, don't go out. But the idea is that if you have government control, you must use it. So Gavin Newsom, for example. He is now pushing back at all of this, he says. It's reckless. Absolutely reckless. Tell me more about recklessness. Captain French laundry. Tell me more about reckless. Gavin Newsom, the head of a state the fifth youngest day in America with same death per capita rate is Florida, the second oldest date America. Please tell me more. Gavin Newsom, who's currently he's so reckless that that dude is now being recalled, and it completely blue State. Top to bottom blue states. But it's about something more than that. It is about the idea that you are not capable of making your own decisions. Or rather, you're only capable of making your own decisions. If you are a particular type of person. If you're not a particular type of person, you're not capable of making your own decisions. So one of the things that is buried in a lot of the ideology here for Democrats, particularly Is a soft bigotry of low expectations about Americans. Generally, you're not capable of making your own decisions. But specifically, there's a soft bigotry of low expectations that attends to minority communities in the Democratic Party. Right. The same motivating factor from people like Jamal Bowman of New York Democratic New Yorkers. His standardized testing is racist attends when it comes to vaccines. And we have seen a tremendous amount of vaccine hesitancy. Unfortunately in the black and Hispanic community There's there's a wide differential in by race and how people are are looking at the vaccine. I pulled data. My poll data. Some 59% of white people say they definitely will get the vaccine and another 20% say they will probably get the vaccine, which means the grand total 79% of white Americans say they definitely will, or probably will get the vaccine. Black America. Only 67% of black Americans say they definitely will get the vaccine or probably got the vaccine and by the way, only, 37% said, they definitely will get the vaccine, which means that fully 33% of black Americans say they either probably or definitely will not get the vaccine. From compared to only 21% of white people who say they won't get the vaccine and only 21% of Hispanic people who say they won't get the vaccine, so the black community has tremendous vaccine hesitancy. That is a real problem. And yet the answer by the left is that that is a shortcoming of government distribution. Okay, That is not correct. If there's differential behavior and different differential viewpoints about vaccines, then that is individual behavior. And yet, the idea here is that if you are a that it's only what I remember that Michael Moore text right Michael Moore tweet was if you're a Texan, you don't deserve to get the vaccine because you're a covert denier. He would never say that about people are literally refusing to get the vaccine. Why? Because for him the question there. There's a soft bigotry that is inherent in leftist thought. That suggests that if a white person makes a bad decision, it's on the white person. But if a black person it makes a bad decision than it is because the system is racist. That is not correct. We should be encouraging everyone to make good decisions. This is why all of the tomfoolery About the vaccine rollout is a mistake. We should be giving the vaccine to anyone who will take it at any point at this point there many, many vaccines out there trenching out vaccines based on quote unquote equity. Is a foolhardy game. Instead, we should be doing is making it available to anyone who wants one. And we should be actively encouraging people to get one not writing op. EDS. In New York times like Charles Blow talking about why black people are hesitant about vaccines but encouraging black people to get vaccines encouraging everybody to go get the vaccine today. And yet again there is that generalized idea that the government must be in complete control. They must mandate things because you can't take care of yourself. And that, But they only talk about a certain type of person who has who has covered scared or covered shy. Isn't it? Xan Obvious point and an ugly point. But people on the left will only talk about covert China's When it comes to White Americans, they will not talk about covert China's when it comes to minority Americans, even though the percentages are greater among minority Americans. Why? You know who should be being ripped up and down right now, not Greg Abbott for saying that people should not be should not be forced to wear mask by the centralized government cause they're capable of making their own decisions. People should be wrapped up and down right now are people like Louis Farrakhan, who's literally going out there? And telling his millions of followers at the covert vaccine is a violent death. Have you seen any media coverage of this? If a if a major conservative figure who had met with a bunch of members of Congress were out there, literally telling people that the covert vaccine was a violent death. You know, that would be the front of every single newspaper, right? Conservatives deny vaccine efficacy And yet, here was Louis Farrakhan doing just that Democratic members of Congress have met with this guy. Continue to meet with this guy. Have you seen a headline about this? Here's Louis Farrakhan was many many followers talking about how the Copa vaccine is a violent death. Some of these.

"Bowman ground Oh, man, I feel like I need to play this audio because I think it's important, but I hate given Fauci air time should we play it? Yes. Okay. I don't owe more. Fauci was respected. Doctor. Big surprise, Mr Establishment so found she came out and it was on CNN yesterday. And basically remember, Remember, 14 Day was a 14 days to flatten the curve. Was that Was that what they guys do that? Remember that number 14 days? We all just wells go along for 14 days. Remember that? Yeah, Yeah, I think we're coming up on a year. We're coming up on a year. 14 days to flatten the curve. March, 13th of 15 would be here as usual. Government lied. There's not a darn thing anybody can do about it, but we had an election. Well, I mean, so we've gone from 14 days to flatten the curve. To social distance to don't wear a mask, too. Then we'll go wear a mask on now found she's saying that we may need to wear masks into 2022 Take a Listen. What does normal mean? Do you think Americans will still be wearing masks? For example in 2022? You know, I think it is possible that that's the case and again. It really depends on what you mean by normality. Don't matter what I want you to find exactly the way Yeah. No, Danna. It's important. Because if normality means exactly the way things were before we had this happen to us. I mean, I can't predict that. But I mean, obviously, I think we're gonna have a significant Degree of normality beyond what the terrible burden that all of us have been through over the last year that as we get into the fall and the winter by the end of the year, I agree with the president completely. That we will be approaching a degree of normality. It may or may not be precisely the way it was in November of 2019, but it'll be much much better than what we're doing right now. So this is never ending. No, he said. Possibly. It's never ending. No, he said, Pop. This is the same goon that in the beginning, not only said no, no, no, don't don't Don't wear him out. We go all over the news, saying don't wear a mask and lecturing and finger wagging and house But you could you be to wear Don't wear a mask. Now, all of the very beginning of the pandemic, he said. Don't wear a mask because there was a shortage of mass because they needed mass for your essential health care Workers. Guess what we now They're all taken care of now. So now everybody can go wear a mask. You will excuse anything, won't you? This is the same guy. That is because I'm just that good. Same guy that in January. No, Don't worry about Corona virus. Go live your life. It's gonna be fine. If this guy ran a company, this company would be out of business. And yet, not only does he still have a job making over $400,000 a year he's considered this unquestioned. Grew high, high and mighty that if anybody says you're full of crap, well, then you're excommunicated from society. It's completely ridiculous. It this is the same will double masking has has. AH has proven benefit to it. People should double mass. He doesn't make people double mascot, the National Institute of Health where he worked. He is a liar and a hypocrite. All righty folks. It's been great working with you today. Way made it. E don't know. Look, I know it doesn't. It doesn't bother you at all. But the point is, why do we keep listening to a guy in the real world in the business world in the world Will people have to be right or people lose jobs or lose their livelihood? They would never tolerate this guy who's been wrong and changes his mind more often than he changes his underwear. No, it's it's an evolving process and evolved over time. Okay, but see of doing you don't get to say that. That's fine. I'm going to take you at your word that it's an evolving process. But you don't get to say that as the governor did we trust the science when the science doesn't know what it wants. When the science isn't settled on it, you don't get to put people out of work. Shut down. Businesses destroy lives if the science isn't settled. Trusting the sciences. You're not trusting anything. You're trusting a guy who changes his mind as often as he changes his underwear. That doesn't work for me, Brother. Just minus the science changed the old the science changes. Boy, This is the most rapidly changing science ever. Do you see? Do you see why people get so mad when you said while we trust the science with the science changes its mind a month at a time. The science guy doesn't know what he wants, because anyway That's it. That's all you got. Yes, that's all I got. Okay, Let's talk about gerrymandering for a minute. Shall we have a happy thoughts? Well, let's can you explain to people what gerrymandering is? Yes, Gerrymandering is basically a form to use to draw congressional districts to favor one party or another, for example, and said the state of Indiana being divided into 100. Even House District's. They're not because they're because got different populations, different boundaries, that sort of thing. And so Jerry Manuel has done to to favor one political party or 11. One politician, so to speak. So I mention this because there's a a Nepean Yin peace and Indy star of a longtime Republican. I guess that's probably the nicest that's the thing I can say is a longtime Republican attempting to defend the Republicans Jerry Mandarin in 2010. And now what will be the new Jerry Mannering in 2020 and I think it's fascinating that Republicans continue to be okay with this process. Continue to be okay with stacking the deck. One political parties favor any refusal to let artificial intelligence just draw the map and whatever AI comes up with, we'll go with that. Well, because technically you can't do that. Because there's certain criteria that had to be met Number one. They have to be there had to be compact, continuous and communicate. Communities of interest together also have certain minority voting rights that you can't but you can't delude. So let's say I have let's say have like 10 black lawmakers and then the Legislature. If the black population goes up, I can't draw the map. So now I've got only eight. I understand. But if we can computer program something to go to Mars, I think we can computer program some of these things that have to be hit to hit federal requirements. I don't think that that's too much to ask for artificial intelligence to factor that in And they don't look like these congressional district that look like an L. Oh, I mean, come on. Well, it depends on the district because actually in the end of progressive District, actually pretty straightforward. What you're gonna look at, you're going to look at the tray Hollingsworth district and tell me that looks pretty straightforward or just magically. All the Democrats were jumped into one giant Marion County District. Which volatile they all vote for Andre Car. You're going to tell me that you get a congressional district look pretty straightforward. Actually. Yes, you're going to tell me that like any other state Senate District 24 war. I'm at which is no, I said congressional, they said, OK, but it's all it's all a part of Jerry Mannering. I didn't say Senator House Girls are totally different if the Republican Party actually wanted to play on a fair playing field, which they don't and look, the Democrats were the same way before that. So nobody saying it's just the Republicans. They would let the artificial intelligence draw the map, respect the process and go with it. But this is it's going. It's going to happen again, is it? I say it's going to.

Rioting Trump Supporters Stage An Attempted Coup In Washington, DC, Breaching The Capitol And Inciting An Armed Standoff

"Of the U. S capitol building. We're seeing reports that protesters were NPR's Tom Bowman. In fact, is there on site watching right now? Is protesters really storm that building attempt to get inside? Tom Bowman Want to bring you back in here right now? Tell us more. Okay. We don't have Tom Bowman. We're gonna go to Claudia. Great solace. Again right now. And you know, you've been telling us some updates here. What's what? What are you seeing now? So it sounds like they're in these really worried moments of trying to get to a safe location. They're trying to move members. Reporters, staff members to a secure location. They're asking for that not to be publicized. This is how concerning it is That if that new location where they're being moved to is put out there. They're worried that the these protesters will seek them out. There is well so they're really in these moments of trying to secure the Capitol complex and ensure that lawmakers and staffers workers everyone else on that, um, complex, it remains safe. The notes. Can I ask you this legitimate question? Are we watching a coup? I'm asking this legitimately. I don't think that's what we're seeing. We're seeing protesters who have become violent and they're trying to send a message. Um, in this fashion, and they're endangering folks. In that way, but this is not that sort of situation. This is kind of a last gasp. If you will, for these folks who were trying to get this message across that they are protesting the election's results. It's It's not going to accomplish anything. In the end. This is this is just delaying the process and making this more difficult day than what we had planned already. And so in terms of a coup, I wouldn't go that far. I think it's just protesters who have gone awry who are threatening the safety of the people at the Capitol complex? Yes, it's an important one. Because as Americans watch this all unfold, we really have no context for this. We've never seen anything like this before. Is Tamara Keith still with us? I am camera. Yeah. If you're still yes. Let's go back a little bit. Let's talk about what we expected to happen today. What is happening today we had never actually seen a case where something that was a ceremonial situation where They're able to certify the electoral votes turn into something where Republicans were going toe. Basically call this not a fair election and vote in opposition of this kind of take us back for a little bit about about what we expected to happen today. Well, the day sort of played out like we were expecting until these protestors stormed the capital up until that point. What had happened is this ceremony that happens every four years was getting underway Where the vice president he presides as the as the president of the Senate. He presides over The tallying of the electoral college votes. It is purely ceremonial. As part of that there can be objections, and in fact, there were house and Senate members who, when they got to the count of the state of Arizona stood up and a jet and objected. That then went to debate in both chambers, and that's when the protesters reached the capital. Now, I should say that President Trump was holding a rally near the White House with these supporters and said, and we're going to go up to the capital. Now. The president himself didn't end up going to the capital, but his supporters did. On D. The result has been that they stormed past barricades. They pushed past Capitol police and and there is now this very chaotic and potentially dangerous and violent situation on D, and as at approximately the time that the vice president was being evacuated from the Senate chamber President Trump Tweeted his discussed That the vice president would not go against the Constitution saying my pent, huh? In fact him he's I'm sorry. I was just gonna say he said that he didn't have the courage to do what should have been done to protect our country and our constitution. I mean, I think you're getting to this, But is there a sense That the president himself will have to shoulder some responsibility for what's happening today. Well, I mean, he did say, and we're going to the capital. And then they did so in that respect and and for a month and a half the or I guess exactly No. Two months time flies. President Trump has been denying the results of the election, he has been feeding his supporters. Falsehoods lies, um, conspiracy theories about the election outcome, saying it was stolen from him. When it was a free and fair election that wasn't stolen from him. He simply lost

How Sports Trading Cards Went from Hobby to Asset Class

"So dan. i want you to help. Explain exactly how wild this year has been for sports cards with an example and that example that sticks out to me and shocks me every time i consider it. Is this record setting. Mike trout card. Can you tell me a little bit about the card itself. So it's a it's a two thousand nine bowman chrome super factor dan. Hey ducky is a writer and researcher for espn and a card collector. Himself it's got autograph on a autograph on grated. Basically there are three companies professionals Authenticator beckett s g c they grade. How perfect on a scale of one to ten a. Carter's so this might trump card is a nine so it's pretty. It's pretty close to perfect but the autograph is greeted at ten. So it's really close to perfect card can awesome. It's a trap route card also on top of that. It's a one of one so there is only one of these in existence yet. It's so interesting because mike trout in public is like a semi anonymous celebrity like a lot of fans casual fans and sports. Even don't really know him. But this card this one of one card with the perfect autograph. What did actually go for went for nine. hundred million. A new record has been set for the most valuable baseball card in history. Somebody paid three point. Nine million dollars for this mike trout rookie card. I know that when joe maddon was confronted with the information that he had a player who's card solta that much giving like. How much does the mona lisa goes for. Wow i'm into art. That puts him right up there with the mona. lisa's self. For what what is anything by a davinci or wow that is. That's that's pretty. That's pretty phenomenal. And it's actually. It's like yeah. I mean that's disappear question. And what was the previous record holder in terms of the most valuable card that had ever been sold at auction. The previous holy grail. Was you know the the honus wagner keys who six said turn of the century the twentieth century like early nineteen hundreds heart on. It's such a lower behind it. That's not happening with mike trump there. There's no incredible backstory to have his card exists. It's it's modern. It's not easy to obtain but it's not it's not like tobacco card that was pulled from from production really what happened to wagner was once thought is that wagner didn't like that he was being used his likeness is being used to sell tobacco the kids so he objected a pulled the card from production and that was that the other less known school of thought is that wagner he wouldn't be compensated for his likeness so he objected because he wouldn't be paid and the facts the truth which is a i like this story better it would be the like the earliest flexing of brand autonomy. It is remarkable what you say though the difference between his honus wagner card which does like looking at it. I'm looking at it right now on my screen. It's like this historical american artifacts that reminds me of like a daguerreotype from like the civil war or something it looks important and ancient and the trout card. The fact that this object can be worth more than any other thing that came before in modern times and the guy who sold this. Mike trout card dan for this terrifyingly large amount is a man named ken golden. So tell me a little bit more about him. What's the business that guy runs. Golden is ken. Golden golden auctions diammonium. Sins loan out nike sneaker. How much does that they work can in your eyes to me. It's definitely a six-figure iconic piece it is the most famous pair of sneakers in the world. Then he remains arguably the most renowned auction house for remember billion sports

This year i stumbled on a very intriguing sub reddit called simply outside by its name alone would have thought maybe it was photos of nature or a group for outdoorsy people trading tips about hiking. But no this is red it so of course. The true purpose of the group was much more creative and a bit ironic. The are outside sub. Reddit is one of many in character. Kind of role playing breads and in this one all the posts are pretending that our actual reality is in fact quoting the community description. A free to play. Mmorpg's with seven billion plus active players and quotes. the sub. reddit. Itself has almost six hundred fifty thousand players with a decent chunk of those joining this year. Although the sub reddit has been around technically since two thousand nine so basically people post and comment on real world events either of public interest or day today occurrences in their personal lives in the vernacular of a video game. As if this were just some game they were playing and this is the board where you go to discuss. Tips and tricks game updates and complain about the developers. Here are a few recent posts to give you an idea. Hey did any faction finished successfully. The democracy storyline with full rights achievements. Is it even possible anyone else. Have the bug where putting two sock items in the dryer. object occasionally deletes sock item. What happened to legendary user super underscore obama three seven three. I haven't heard from him in a while. He was an amazing guild leader. I would like to know what's up with him as with other in character sub reddit. It's like one of my old favorites are stuck ten years behind where you're only allowed to post as if it's twenty. Ten are outside is a light hearted way to share personal victories. Or talk to others about your thoughts and struggles but in a shared language that can make it a bit. Easier to be a little vulnerable quoting. The washington post part of the appeal suggested sarah lynn bowmen and academic studies role. Playing games is the shared. This is the way. Social groups tend to function. They create their own jargon. Thrown in references are symbols of belonging. Bowman said world is full of anxieties. Right now some people might find comfort in discharging that through humor with people who can understand language and where they can find a sense of belonging and quotes and some people do talk about some serious things like fearing the uncertainty of death by referring to it as a data wipe that can happen at any time and unlocking new levels when graduating college or power leveling new players when having kids covid nineteen has been a regular topic of discussion this year as a world event that the developers chose to do in which has not been popular with any players. I'll read a little from the currently pinned post about the vaccine written by a real world medical professional quote high philo gamers longtime raid healer. Checking in. I wanted to say hello and give some insights about the much anticipated in game item covid vaccine. There's a lot of controversy around this item. The devs really eft up. When they created the covid nineteen world events players have been reporting crippling to buffs. That seem to last for ages. Summed buffs are permanent. It's made the game. Unplayable for lots of people and most players are sheltering in their starting area to avoid the enemies. Some players have even uninstalled due to how crippling dot's in buffs are so the devs have patched the game with the vaccine item. I in several of the healers in my guild. Got the item crafted by pfizer. About ten days ago. They've already released to the public test. Realm or p. Our notes. And it's looking like this is the answer to finally end this shitty world events in the pr using the item. Even one time resulted in your character. Getting around seventy five to eighty five percent immunity to all damage from the covid class enemies and using it a second time got ninety five percent immunity. We may even see a day when we won't need enchanted armor like the cloth masks anymore though that's still recommended for now.

Dr. Samira Musah's Glomerulus-on-a-Chip could predict which drugs would fail in clinical trials

"When i took on this project i just ask myself. What are the what what is known about how the kidney develops what factors are necessary for fresh eating these cells into the desired cell type and that informed my strategy for developing them at that and so when we were able to obtain the cells and then characterize them and notice that they were Swiss specialize in their function. We thought well we have the engineering capabilities In a way that is not even assessable too many in the field. Can we integrate these cells into these micro fluidity oregon on chip systems. We have an idea what the structure of the mayor filtration barrier. We know we need that candid fluid channels. I'm for urinary compartment in the vascular and so those all help thus designed a platform that would allow us to integrate these cells into this chip and then Model the function of the gloom airless. So now that we have the motto established in my lab. Where really focused mostly on trying to use this platform to understand human kidney the mechanisms of kidney disease and some of the processes that are altered during disease progression. I also envision that the platform would be useful for toxicity testing because we know that about seventy five percent of drugs actually failed during clinical trials partly due to toxic to the kidneys and so and these are usually not always predictable or they're not predicted before these Drug candidates get into human clinical trials. So i am Hopeful that we could potentially use some of these platforms to identify some of these candidates that end up being toxic to humans during clinical trial We also have an projects that are aimed at really extend into extend into engineering capabilities. So we have been able to model one functional unit the structure and function of the capillary wall. We know that they keep. These are much more complex than that. So you lied. You alluded to strategies where you can develop different models of tissues and then put them together to create a more complex oregon. So we're at the stage where we're trying to develop the next generation of the oregon chip models by integrating complete capillary system. So instead of just looking at that blessed filtration interface with that beria where designing them so we have complete calculator like Systems that would pretty much mimic the the whole structure of the bowman's capsule or the capillaries in that in case am structure for blood filtration.

"Mike Bagley. We are back on NASCAR LION as we go to the hotline bringing the winner of the virtual gyco seventy at Talladega superspeedway. Alex Bowman Hendrick motorsports back on the show. Alex welcome back the NASCAR live. Yeah thanks for having me. So you're a winner at Talladega at least on the virtual Sunday afternoon. I liked your tweet after the checkered flag that you don't understand how this could happen. Have you had a chance to process it? And what indeed did happen. Yeah I'm I'm pretty surprised I think a lot of other people are pretty surprised as well I have definitely been on the not taking this super serious side of things when it comes die racing so To to get a win on their with is surprising for me for sure. I Iran one practice race for like twenty five laps all week and Called it good and and Kinda Senate on Sunday so Cloud to get hundred motorsports and other win. I think William is much more talented than I am when it comes to the virtual thing and Just you know. Glad to get US three in a row but Had A lot of fun like I said. I'm confused on on how happened. I guess it got Super Lucky but ZAC that it worked out so how much I rarely experience do. You Have D. Even have a chance to win. Things were in regular life have a chance to do that or is it just one of the things that you've hopped on board with through the stoppage that we've been going through. Yeah you know once we. I think when dirt came out on IRA saying. I completely stopped running the pavement. I racing stuff So it's I'm definitely not a guy with a bunch of experience and You know you look guys like William that that have a big background in it and and have done quite a bit I'm definitely on the opposite side of that spectrum. Well it didn't look that way on Sunday. Congratulations it was a lot of fun to watch. It was as intense as it normally is. I'm sure that from from your perspective. It is a lot different in simulation then real life. It's been a while my friend since we've been on the race track matter of fact last time you guys were on the race track. It was fifty one days ago out there at Phoenix raceway. What have you been up to here last month in what we can half or so. Yeah Yeah I've I've actually stayed really busy. Surprisingly I feel like everybody talks about how bored they are. I'm probably busier now than than in a normal race season We finished building my shop in Mooresville so getting all moved into that getting everything. Set up there That has taken up a ton of time. I'm actually sitting here right now and The Fedex Guy is about to back into my truck. I'm pretty sure so. Hopefully that doesn't happen as I'm sitting out front 'cause I don't have any cell service inside but but now everything is Everything's been good. Just staying busy with that We we swapped we swapped engines. And my I see ten last week A four hundred twenty nine cubic inch seven in it so it makes a bunch of horsepower now. started building drift card. Just staying really busy I shouldn't be allowed to get bored because you know the first week or so that I I didn't have anything going on. I I bought a corvette to turn into a drift car and In created a bunch of projects for myself. So That's just me. When I get bored I I make a lot of work for myself. I had these projects been brewing. Or is this a case of in the spirit of boredom? You know what? Maybe I should try this. Yeah we're probably about half and half on that you know. I wanted to build a drift car but I don't think it was going to happen. This quickly And same with with the Times I've I want I had planned on swap in the engine and have engine ready to go But it probably wouldn't happen this quickly. So definitely It's nice to get some stuff done then. Pretty Productive But at the same time I am Wide Open. Have No free time right now. So it's kind of funny when I hear everybody talking about being bored. I'm like man. I'm I'm the polar opposite of that right now. I'm with you. I'm more busy now that I was under under normal conditions and of course we're counting down to when we can go back a couple of things that have happened saying want to get your thoughts on seems to be some scuttle but some discussion that we may be back as soon as the middle of. May talks like Darlington in Charlotte coming up. What are your thoughts on that? We could be about three weeks out. Maybe a month out from getting back to doing this. In in real life formation. You know it's I don't know who to believe or who to listen to. You know you see so many different versions of what's going to happen on twitter and all that so Just trying to figure out who actually listen to you and kind of just waiting for word on NASCAR BEFORE I really get my hopes up on something but at the same time whenever we do go back racing just trying to be prepared and ready to go as the biggest thing. The schedules going to be tougher than anything. The Cup series of seen in a long time and I think For able if I'm able to be Physically fit and ready and ready for that challenge. I think it'll be good for for for us for sure so Josh my trainer. He's been beating the crap out of me. Saturday was my birthday and I say in the morning I had to go run five miles in full winter winter gear. Winter Jacket and pants and all that so Trying to train for the heat. Because we know it's coming and be as ready as we can be. How were you able to celebrate your birthday on Saturday? Yeah With me and my dogs and that's about it so Yeah kind of The quarantine birthday birthday thing is is a little different but That's part of life trying to stay safe and stay healthy and keep ever everybody else safe and healthy as well with Alex. Bowman win the GYCO seventy over the weekend at Talladega superspeedway. The things that we keep hearing is Alex when we go back it may be two tracks that we can drive to whether it be Darlington or Charlotte or Bristol. Martinsville tracks like that. There are certain tracks. Perhaps maybe we could go to I as we get her way back into a full slate of racist. Are there any tracks within driving distance of Charlotte that you would definitely give thumbs up to us to going back in and racing at any any tracks in the in the near area of Charlotte that play into the wheelhouse of the eighteen? Right now Charlotte I'm ready to go to Charlotte I think Our our intermediate stuff right now is is the best Best PACKAGE FOR US. So selfishly. I'm like heck. Yeah let's go to Charlotte but there are a lot of cool racetracks around here You know whether it's short tracks that we don't go to anymore You know wherever I think between Darlington in Charlotte Martinsville Bristol everywhere. Around here is is neat for sure and fun places so I'd I'd be up for going to Hickory or or wherever as well so Wherever they told me to go I'll be there and I'm ready to go draft racecar for sure because the virtual thing isn't really cut out for me I can understand that when the updates become available folks be sure to dial dot com. We'll keep you updated their one more thing before we let you go. Ryan Newman announced before your race on Sunday. That he was ready to come back. He's got to obviously go through medical clearances in the like. What do you make about? Ryan Newman Getting Ready to join the sixteen again and join you back on the racetrack. Once you get going again and that's so awesome You know such a turnaround just from. I remember how fell leaving the racetrack in Daytona. Not really knowing if he was okay or not and then couple months later to to see him ready to go get back in a race car. That's that's unbelievable so Just really glad that he's Ok to begin with and the fact that he's getting on a race car again. is amazing and Says a lot about what NASCAR does to To make these cars safe because that was about as bad of a head as you can take and For him to to walk out of the hospital couple days later and And be get back. Cars is unbelievable. Yeah we definitely will welcome him. Back can't wait to see him back on the track. Can't wait to see you and greg. The team back at the race track appreciate the time. Thanks for joining us. And hopefully we'll catch up in person soon at a track to be determined. Sounds good thanks for.

"Welcome back to the final segment of disruptive dozen today be creative with Keith Bowman for Keith. And the other founders of the Haystack. They found support for the ministry that got hot plays on their hearts. But unfortunately that's not always the case sometimes despite the energy and effort that you may put behind an idea. It just won't gain traction. It could happen for a number of reasons. Maybe it was just not the right time. Perhaps before you can really get the of the ground your circumstances need to change. Maybe you lose your champion. I was just talking with a friend of my own phone last night. He was telling me all his woes about not being able to find support. And it's true. It's it's crazy. Because he had a pastor in a church where the pastor was a visionary and he was like. Let's do stuff and so it's fully support on this big college. Campus Huge College. Fifty thousand plus students attending this. This College School Church has very small. And he's like okay. We're going to take over this college campus and then the conference made some decisions that made pastoring very difficult for him so he moved to Seattle right and so now they're left there and they're all on their own and my friend who's down there trying to do ministry goes to the board and the boards like. Yeah he was. We don't really want anymore. We never really wanted them in the first place. So these young people that have been starting to participate in the ministry and starting to come to church and all these things literally the Church said. We don't want them anymore. We don't we don't we don't WANNA change. We don't want young people coming to our church actually really like the way. We've always been doing things. So the support that he had was this one pastor and now no support exists so it's can be fleeting like it can be really fleeting so like. Where can you get support from stories like this happen all too often? The Church Young Visionary people tried to strike out in a new direction to impact the community around them only to find the local church they are part of is not really interested in trying something meal in fact they are very content to stages the way they are however there is movement in the organization there are entities are beginning to empower the next generation of visionaries to rethink how we minister to our modern world. There's some conferences doing simple things like for example. I Know Oregon. You can ask for you can submit a request for Creative evangelistic funds. And they'll they'll give give a pretty good amount. There's a shark tank. It's coming next year. The called convention where they're gonNA give out over one hundred thousand dollars in money towards creative projects. Another thing that we've done is we've sent me Requests for grants and foundations and we actually got thirty thousand dollars from one foundation to To boost the haystack. Which it it went. It was very helpful. It was very helpful. So I mean there's some of that creativity that you can do is going to grant writing and see if you can do something that somebody already has written. Wants to give money for. Because of the pioneering work of Keith of the Haystack just in case who also known as Dot Christian blogger or now I am listening with Justin coup and Caleb is Lee of humans of Ad Nauseam. The wider church is beginning to understand and appreciate the impact that this online digital approach can have on our mandate to preach the Gospel to the world and the organization is beginning to change especially after this crisis but it can still be discouraging to carry a passion for creative ministry only to be marginalized or pushed aside. So why should we persevere in the face of such assistance? You never know what the impact is going to be in. Jesus looks around. And he sees all these sheep wandering around without a shepherd and he says you know pray to the Lord of the harvest that we have more labors in the field and so he's looking around he's seeing Sam we more laborers and some people are casting stuff and they're catching one or two. Some people are casting stuff and they're catching hundreds. But you just keep casting like. That's that's the point is like you. Just keep laboring in the Vineyard for Christ whatever he calls you to. Do you just keep doing it. Because you enjoy laboring for Christ and bringing glory to God and then you let the chips fall where they may so the motivation is not necessarily and this is tricky. Because I think a lot of young people having grown up with technology like the phone in their you know they're always looking for the number of followers. I want to be an influence or you know like I want to be an influence. Or that's my goal. One day I got. I got to be an influencer. And it's like okay well That's Kinda the wrong goal. The the the right goal is I just WanNa be in love. I WANNA be in love. I WANNA be loved like I WANNA be loved for Christ WanNa connect with God so much that my my life shines love out in Christ will take care of the influence. Whatever your influence that you're given at that point is given to you by God and you just appreciate whatever it is. It's a little bit of a tough mentality. But I think that it's also freeing because it gives you contentment wherever God puts. The world is becoming more digital every day after this crisis that potential impact for the kingdom in this new world is immense but the laborers are few. God has a need for his people to stake out his claim in online domain. As we wrap up we ask Keith. For a final word concerning creative digital ministry. Here's Keith's final word. I Guess Yeah. Final Word. Be Creative because you love being creative. That's it be creative because you love being created you've been listening to disrupt avenues. We hope that too. They stop it. "A wanted man as the Nascar Gander are outdoors truck series makes its return to the track in Atlanta this weekend. All eyes will on four cup series drivers trying to beat over rowdy and went a one hundred thousand dollar bounty. It all started after bushes dominating performance and the truck race at Las Vegas. Kyle Larson tweeted congratulations to the two time champ. With three Cherry emojis a joking reference. That Bush is Cherry picking races. He knows he'll win. A joke that Larson receives at the dirt track. It was really a joke. And it wasn't. I'm not offended when Kyle Busch Wins Chuck Raises. I like law because I feel like it. It helps expose the guys who were you'll good And the ones who aren't new I think when when he does win and he has to battle for the winds. I think it shows which kids are really good so I'm more just drop some cherries on there. Because you when I when I do end races I do get a lot of that as well. So it's more a more of a dig it. You're the NASCAR FANS and dirt fans who give me crap also but in a different series I guess Upset Harvick enough that that he put a bounty up which is which is cool so I think it's great for the sport. Great for the truck series. Hopefully the ratings are even better for these. These races coming up Kevin Harvick's all the exchange decided Kyle Busch needed attest. He placed a fifty thousand dollar bounty on Bush challenging any FULLTIME Cup series driver to beat Bush and any of his four remaining starts in the truck series. This season three all in fun. I love what I love. Book Kabul does with his truck teams. And you know I talked to Kyle Larson. About about his three cherries. And that's really. That's really what what got it. All started because I thought he was kind of picking on him and I didn't realize that he gets the same treatment when he runs a dirt car so So yeah you know I think it's it's great for the fans Scrape for the truck series great for Atlanta Motor. Speedway is really good for everybody involved. I I didn't really anticipated blowing up like it did But we're going to have fun with it And you know follow along like like everybody else and really make it about the guys that are out there. Racing and and Stepped up to to raise with Kyle. And and you know Kyle for being as good a sport is kyle can be about it on top of Harvick's purse Marcus Luna's CEO of Gander. Rv outdoors added another fifty thousand dollars to the driver who meets Bush. And now we have four who've accepted the challenge Chase Elliott Kyle Larson Eric Jones and Brennan Pool Elliott says. He joined in because he thinks it's a fun opportunity. I was as simple as I reached out to us. Mike being attacked about it. And I don't know if you heard about this this it'd be Kinda Fun. He said cool. I'll work on it. You know and we came up and Maury Gallagher was onboard and thought it'd be fun and I thought it'd be fun on either GonNa Watch it on the couch. You're going to do it. So opted for be when asked what he thinks of the bounty and his competitors trying to take him down Kyle Busch says bring it. Yes all good. I think it's GonNa be interesting exciting. Whatever you want to term IT Cup drivers truck series do sell tickets so You know take that for what? It's I think. It's a unique opportunity for more attention on the series which is good Maybe if more drivers had more teams than Had Rides then there would be something else there besides just myself But I don't remember who I told but it was Harvick kind of the the idea out there is like the guy that's really really really going to have shot is going to be Larson. Homestead so Bringing home thank you what He. We're joined right now. By one of the truck series regulars will be competing in Saturday's race at the Atlanta Motor speedway and a driver that could take home fifty thousand dollars.

"I noticed that they. Tony had like an all white fire suit. How do you keep that thing clean? You don't Yeah that was That's tough fouling. The valvoline paint team look so good. The firesuits look really good I think all white looks really get. It's just so hard to keep playing and I think they have a couple of primaries this year. So only gotTa make them last a couple of races but It is tough. They're pretty destroyed after one race They wanted me to do that for Chili Bowl. And I said no way Cj who drives matter car he he got an all white super chill and it was destroyed after after practice pretty much so it is tough for sure. The first thing I thought of as that would not work in the days of thunder days. No for sure stuff used to get air used to move through the cars so much more I mean the cars were cooler inside because it actually but I mean those guys will get so dirty back in the day just because there was so much more moving air and not everything was sealed up how it is now but now they're like they're sealed up pretty tight except for when I went through the grass I had grass everywhere so That firesuits probably have green at this point. But that's all right out and do on that part of it. Yeah yeah if If they wanted to be on the car for sure we're halfway there. You did a painting of Matt Benedetto. I saw it online. You can't get away from it but props to him. He kept the interview going yeah. He's not a very shy human beings so it's one of those things we mess with each other a lot. He attempted to shove sharpie up at one point in an interview last year and I did not continue the interview. I was very distracted by what happened. And what was going on so that was my way of getting him back so I'm really not looking forward to what comes next Knowing him but I'm sure it'll be something I was GonNa ask you. Do you expect retaliation? Yeah probably it's fun to make fun of Matt You know he drives for that other manufacturer but he's still just went and bought another corvette so we always at least got good taste and yeah he's he. He just bought another one but You know I saw the other day and you know how corvettes four tail lights he he had somebody take the tail lights out to like. Put Ten on them. Different spoiler on the car. And they didn't tighten the bolts out one of the bolts up and one of the lights fell going down the road. So THAT'S I. He's got good taste in cars but yeah it's a little bit menacing what What are you driving personally? Now one of those yes. So He's actually copying me He's got the same cars now so he's he was going to buy the same wheels that I had on my car so I just sold him my wheels and bought something different so we weren't matching. You should go ask him about it because it's literally he's copying me. That's that's definitely interesting. You should go out there and race. Yeah Mine Still GonNa be mine still going to be faster though so I mean it's obviously got a better driver so it's all driver of course nothing. Yeah for sure now. Last time we spoke you were Still working out the intricacies of assigned seating at movie theaters. Is there anything else technology wise here in two thousand twenty? That's baffling you I don't think there's been anything yet. I'm sure I'm sure there will be that movie. Theater incident was largely embarrassing. Pretty sure I'm never going on a date ever again. After that. That was that was a struggle. Yeah nothing yet. I feel like something will definitely pop up and confuse the heck out of me and all embarrass myself with it but nothing yet. Droopy told seventeen years. I've been doing this. This is the first time using my phone for notes. I used to use paper mainly because it was lighter so I'm still getting into the tech stuff too. Yeah Yeah there you go. I mean yeah. It's forever changing. Who would think that you have assigned seats at a movie theater? That there's twelve people and just other didn't make any sense if I were just gone up one more row Adam and just fine definitely definitely definitely all right so you got a bunch of sponsorships onboard this year. How do you keep track of them? All Highest Kelsey. What's on the car this week? Search Yeah figure out what shirts to bring and and I mean it's it's written on my chest on the firesuits so I guess I could just look down and figure it out but No it's it's been really cool to have some new partners on board. Obviously we have Lamar this week and Chevy goods dot COM And everybody that's going to be out for the really excited about all that so It'll be neat. I think the black and gold card looks really cool. So looking forward to seeing that on the race track New Paint scheme for them so it only looks a little bit similar to the valvoline paint scheme just a little bit but but that's all right. That's that's that's a good looking to you once you're inside it kind of looks the same. Yeah Yeah you can't see it from From where I sit so I'm here for it. Do you ever bring the wrong stuff to the track? Not recently so when I was junior motorsports we had a couple of different sponsors on the car. Throughout the year we went somewhere and Dave Allan's crew chief and really all the sponsors were the same color scheme but he wore the wrong shirt like the race day shirt. He wore the completely wrong one week and. Kelsey did my pr over there. As well and I thought she was going to kill him. So it was It was a good day for sure with sports. Exploding and racing and that's sort of stuff that something that you're interested in and doing. Yeah William just started. His own team stopped. I started calling him Mr b since he's got this big time. I racing team but I WanNa talk to him next and I'm GONNA ask him. Does that work? I mean nothing physical yeah He. He's spent some money on it so I don't know that's I keep myself really busy with other things and I'm kind of maxed out at the moment. I think it's really neat I play on. Ira seeing a little bit more to to play around and then taking that super seriously. Is it something you see yourself doing after Nascar maybe retiring you're eighty years old? You're sitting in your living room and you're still raising all that's GonNa be so different when I'm eighty years old. Can you imagine what Sim racing's are GonNa become at that point Maybe I'll I'll probably be at a dirt track somewhere though all right all right Alex Bowman I always appreciate the time. Thanks so much and best of luck this weekend..

"Let's. Thank you very much to STAN Bowman, you know, that's huge for us to get get a, you know, a real life GM on in the National Hockey League. And you know, there's obviously some tough questions, you know, that he had to answer. I think you know, we're not the actual the hardest question asker in the world will usually stay pretty light on this. But, you know, obviously with the way things have gone for the Blackhawks, you gotta respect him coming on and giving his opinion on why he made certain moves biz that most recent move, a what do you actually think about that? Where we I feel like you love the Yeltsin that deal. I do. But before that where you guys kind of curious to how many notches Cain or had. This guy's basement seven thousand. That's kinda want ask. But I like the final straw like ice. They come on. We should've gave them Reseda gave them like an ultimatum yet answer that or who's got the biggest Roach. Our biggest our biggest wrench in the organization to department of anada KEMA lewd in that kid. Have a ranch us on the Blackhawks for a little bit. Yeah. Apparently does have a weapon vac. I do like the trade for the oats. I think that the upside on the trade, I think schmaltz could potentially be a first line center. I know people in Chicago after seeing what he's done there this year like on no way, you know, he played with Kane couldn't produce. He's looked very go at the oats. He's got a couple of other dynamic players on his line right now in Keller and gal. Kenya is four points in three games. So far, I think that he can max out at first line center. I think that we at least got a second line center of NHL called-. Ever going back. If Strom can can scale up, I think that maybe he can be a second line center. I don't think that he'll be a first line center at the National Hockey League level. That's not a knock on him. I think that's a compliment. If anyone could be a second line center, the NHL able as far as per Leaney's concern. I don't know if he's gonna find this consistency in Chicago. I liked this trade for the Arizona coyotes, and you don't need to worry about signing two guys. Now, you gotta just focus on the one guy that you like and China had schmaltz on his radar for a while. And finally after slow start he was able to get them and move to pieces that he wasn't confident that we're gonna scale up to what counties needed. So I like this trade a lot for the oats credit. John Chike is a lot of fucking good moves since he's been with the coyotes and does not have a lot of salary to play with. Yeah. It was fun talking to a GM obviously deal with players all the time while a couple other random celebrities will we'll get to later in the week. But I I enjoyed talking. What am I enjoy getting her nose background? And don't basically what it with what GM will usually do the player. And and yeah and kudos to him for making himself available to us. We've even talking to some other media and like you said wits traditional media. And I I was appreciated that he come out. So it was it was good stuff. I hope I hope the fans like it. And speaking of that the reason why the coyotes one on Saturday night. I I ran into Harry knuckles in the hallway going into the rink. Larry's knuckles will note your skull. I actually think he thinks he's trimmed him up a little bit. He's I think he's scaling up towards playoffs. He's getting get ready for. But I he he said he'd caught win that his name was on the podcast. I love it. I feel like people, you know, in those types of roles when all of a sudden, they become they become like a host hold. Name. And now Coyote spans are aware of who this guy is and the team rallied around him when we made our run there. I I it's probably cool for him. So he seemed pretty pumped about it. I wouldn't imagine the social media. I picture like. He probably heard about the podcast. He's like fuck, man. I trim knees. And then he's helping his bathroom like foreign his wife sees it. She just turns out like she just stays silent..

"I don't know if that's true. I mean, I know there's sure sure that there's restauration, and you come to expect a a level of performance, and we we had really strong teams for a long time. And I think, you know, in that in the process of that he'll going back to thousand nine, and, you know, we've we've captured a new fan base like a younger. There's obviously that core group of fans that have been there forever. And at think what happened with this new group and really all the experience was success. And we one in ten and we want to thirteen and we almost one in fourteen the early loss to LA and game seven then we wanted fifteen so they they're sort of only used to a lot of success. So I think it's understandable. I mean, like, I'm a fan of sports too. When you're when you're team doesn't do well frustrating. So I get it. I mean, I think the one thing that. You don't ever want to happen for the passion to go away? And even if it's frustrating near the mad at least care about your team. And you know, it wasn't always that way early years were sort of lean. And I think as a result, you know, even though there's been some tough times lately for sure, and then other people that aren't happy with me, you know, at the end of the day, you gotta do you think it's bad to try to bring better results. And then when you win everyone's happy, you know. So that's really what we're focused on getting this thing turned around and getting better thoughts. And but I get it. I realize where the fans are out. And and I understand we thought you were just gonna start teeing off on them. And I agree with your younger generation crowd because we've been selling a shit ton of those fire stab Bowman t shirts. So on that note. Oh. Nothing. Nothing. No, no, no, no. I'm sure there's a market for that out there right now, especially with some people. But you look you can't change what you're doing. That's part of the business. I get it. I've been around it. I mean, my dad taught me a long time ago..
