Welcome everyone to the sports gambling pack SM Sean second the money green was pardoned picks. Right. Real money Kramer. Hold on. Let me crack a cold one shown and ice cold. What apple strawberry LA? What is his corrupt Tei? Oh, it's their fancy brand Palma Baya what the series. Mcroy bullshit. I drink more LaCroix than any human on the planet, just send me some cases, please. Yes. Make them next on the list. Sponsors, God Ryan it happened. As Carson Wentz been extended. He is a very reasonable very reasonable. What, what did he get four years, one hundred and twenty eight million one zero seven guaranteed for your extension, Ryan. I'll let you have the floor here threat. Your hates. What eight I'm happy for him. Okay. But the is this one of those just waiting for your your salary cap management, speak speech up. Sorry, I'm also. Yeah. Quarterbacks or the type of people you play your pay not, not running back draft into the first round as we've learned with the Los Angeles Rams Todd Gurley agai you couldn't get any more out of from the running back position, you pay of front, you give him a ton of guaranteed money, and then. Oh, wait. What tendonitis? He's not going to be an every down back. Good luck. Jerry Goff, Jared Goff. A guy who's going to get paid probably even more than Carson Wentz, this deal is going to get better by the day. Especially, especially when Dak Prescott, you know, you know, Jerry himself is going to Sean. Yes. Calm down. You know, Jerry Jones is gonna wanna pay more than Carson Wentz, just like L Dakota brass Gatti's the man he's our guy. It's a great deal. It already is a great. No, you're very excited about the idea of Carson Wentz. Getting extended. Yeah. Down your franchise quarterback added at a value, istikanah, tune ity, and here again. I see Adam Schefter reporting, he, he looks to make a return to 'em MVP form. Yup. I again like this, they gave an awful lot of money to a guy with back problems. John, I appreciate that. You're excited. I would be excited to a couple of things. The cleanup Gettleman, never called Todd Gurley. A gold jacket player saquon Barkley is kindly stand, that was one hundred and twenty eight million dollars to guy with back problems. Sean, I got back problems. I wouldn't pay myself hundred twenty eight million dollars because you know what happens. I don't know. I'm tired, I come home. I lean over to brush my teeth bam, the back goes up. Well, it is that it's not that kind of back, you're not that into the Lord, maybe he's getting healed well and you're not you're not North Dakota strong. We know that you're from, you know, your wonders. Strong bitch. You're one of those slippery. I'd ties I mean one of the. Steve politic. Tweeted out, I love this. Wow. Imagine what the giants will give ally next year. This is really, really setting the market. We actually got a listener question. No, no. From at JR rocks day, racks. Well, it is two questions. But first off, he's asking about Jerry being overrated. Serious question is Jerry mount overrated? Seems that Sapir when that's our onto by all. We'll get to that when we talking finals with the parlay Queen, and with ourselves. But also he throws in there, and he didn't he didn't say, serious questions. So he's just some Cowboys fan trying to chill also. How can Cowboys fans nappy thrilled with the Wednesday? This is great news for the division. What are you talking about? Listen as much as this is where I struggle, right. Like a there's if you wanna talk about hilarious things going on the division. I apologize if you're a fan of the team and a team in the other seven divisions Redskins gave up assets for Kirk cousins or no. Not Kirk cousins to know the, the, the story that sorry, case keenum the same way that should should entertain all of us right now is that Eric flowers is getting starting reps for the Washington Redskins because Trent Williams. How did I miss this will not eat? Oh, that's right. Trent williams. I did tweet that holding out nothing to do with money. But the way that they handled his medical situation, anyway, Eric flowers first time in my life. I've been excited to see that. He may start. Oh man the giants make you the sack. That's crazy that he I mean he he needs to wash out of league. Well, he's all okay. Now giants gave him seventeen. Anyway. Back to Carson Wentz. Whatever fair deal. He he is. Injury prone, though. This is a thing like we can't just deny the fact that we paint a guy with a bad back. We like it right? And you're already you're already team. I'm objective of noth- to put myself into this metaphorical situation and look at this from all four sides or some may say six side, Sean, see that maybe on maybe or cube. Three dimensions, bro. Step outside the box. Maybe we should have invested so much money. And someone who's maybe does he over under thirty two games left in Carson Wentz his career. I'll take the over. Okay. Lock that back problems. Don't go away. They do when it's this particular back problem. Oh, here we go. Tell me about some PSI's like the chatter heads. It's a baby fucking wheel man. He cracked a bone. The bone is fully healed remove it on. But you it's just quarterbacks in the National Football League are expensive. Yeah. Dare I bring up Sam Bradford Sam Bradford. Sam Bradford got fifteen million guaranteed from the Zona cardinals this year fifteen million dollars guaranteed. When that team drafted Josh Rosen shown number, you know, in the first round, can't cite one of the just a horrible deal to justify how Carson Wentz, it's a good deal. I think he can. Because if you're paying bad quarterbacks fifteen million dollars paying good quarterback thirty million dollars is very reasonable. I mean, he's he's all jokes aside, like it doesn't matter what you pay the quarterback. He's our franchise guy, you pay him. Yeah. Roseman is great at figuring out salary cap space. So I'm not worried about that. When you're better off paying Carson Wentz now, if you waited until Patrick Mahomes deal, which is going to be insane or deck Prescott steel or off steal the longer. You wait the more expensive. It's a it's not it's it's a line. That's never gone down. Right line for highest paid quarterback doesn't go down periodically. It's just going to go up, and then he does it back problems. Yeah he has injury concerns, but you still have to pay your franchise quarterback. You have to pay them a lot of. What would you rather do? Just your other option is not to pay him this year. So, okay. You don't pay him this year. He has a great year, then you're completely fucked even if he has just a good year. I think is becomes that much greater because of all the deals that will be signed between now and the end of a market conversation than his play like Riley, it does matter. He would have to have a career ending injury for this to be a bad deal. So how many years he played three? Yeah. And how many times has he had season ending injuries? Twice. Yeah. Percents, not a great percentage that it's great. If you're at the fair trying to win it stuffed animal two out of three. Well, it's great if you go eleven to put up heavy numbers, greatest even in thirteen games greatest regular season performance by an eagles quarterback all time that. Are your lawn and only Super Bowl, then yeah, I'll take that. I watched a one of the one of those three years he helped them win the Super Bowl. A huge factor. In the reason they won the Super Bowl Nick foles I was watching old quarterback challenge on, and I saw a McNabb was in it the with on the, the drill where you have to throw at the targets in the dirt every time it made me McNabb make mini smile. Big nab came in and tried to like Carson Wentz. Oh, god. Good for him. Man. All right. What else do we got? Are we going to be talking NBA finals Belmonte? But before we do. You're talking got all jacked up on football. Time to talk about my cookie dot AG. My book g the official online sports. Look at the sports gambling podcast. Right. I love it already guy. Just hit me up on Twitter with a ten team week, one thirteen point. Teaser. He goes where do I get my? You've probably get scared that you're doing a thirteen point teaser. But I really looked at it. I did like all the sides. That's a great thing about my book already bet NFL. We already bet finals, you know, MVP, and of course, the National Basketball Association finals MVP, those odds are up. Seth curry still the favorite tied with Leonard at minus one ten Kevin Durant forty to one. That's insane. Playoff series. Exact results USA soccer, you can bet on women's World Cup, French Open MLB baseball Belmont, which will be talking later on show, play, get paid over at my cookie dot AG. So didn't go great NBA finals game. It was on the warriors that did not pan out yet. Didn't see that cone. I guess I overlooked I think what I overlooked when handicapping the game was Claes impact on the defensive side. Like they just could not stop them at all. And the soft ass Golden State crowd. Well, the crab was soft. And then in particular boogie cousins just went back to. It's not shocking, I guess, but I really was kind of bide into the boogie hype after game to, like, yeah, okay. This guy can fill in. Well, I did. I don't think the lineup I gave out on air, but I did another like wild lineup that I cash like forty five bucks so nothing nothing crazy. But the guy who won got first place, had a Steph curry, Neely, captain spot, which was an interesting play. Because normally when you play these draftkings you wanna go contrary to put someone random in the captain spot. But Steph off for so many points you almost had a put them in that one and a half spot. I oh my. On run about Danny green, though. Yeah. Play. He, he came out nice for me. And I mean, quite Leonard had decent game in the captain's chair, but I. Why had like just a quiet thirty points. I over thought it putting boogie cousins in there it and it seems like the big takeaway from this game. Well, one is it's hilarious. Warriors fans I go everyone's heart. He doesn't have any help shit the fuck up. The you've had amazing injury luck over this entire run. You can't complain. Well, this is a classic like chippy fan base who everyone had respect for because they were chippy and they showed up for their team. They got a little bit of success. Let it get to their head, not too far off from what is going on in the city of San Francisco in general. Right. The the metal. From Oakland, San Francisco, right? They've kind of turned into the soft. Is tough. Oakland guys. Now, they're now they're venture capitalists in San Francisco. It off their tech money a bunch of whiny. New stadium sweater wearing fucking millennial billionaires like that. That's what we've turned into member Davis. When they when they upset Dallas as the one like there. I mean they were a fun team. And I like this team better. When Kevin Durant sat on the team. Wow. I now again, I don't even want to have this debate anymore. I'm just saying they're more fun to root for and the only reason I'm rooting for him is because Toronto's from Canada. And listen, I'm in America, first guy, you know, no fence, our guest coming on parlay Quyen. But I you know, I'm USA all the way and the raptors knocked out the Sixers who now the Sixers. Maybe the Sixers weren't that bad. The Sixers took them to seven games. They had the quadruple newly to knock them out of the series, look at you. Really? Trying to turn lemons in the lemonade. I was. I mean how do you not become a little more optimistic about the Sixers team after watching what the raptors have done? Yeah. I guess so. That's this year basketball changes so much ear to ear. They missed their shot period. This is this really just it kinda pissed me off in a weird way. I got really annoyed by this. So Kyle Lowry goes into the you know, trying to save a ball again. Very annoying guy and falls into the crowd. And then one of the locate you demonstrated that for me. Well, we timers rounding, we're doing some tests on video, I'm here to ham it up. And then I guess, one of the guys in the crowd shoved him and told him to go fuck himself multiple times. Because it's like, oh, it's all over the news. Well for our he gets a little set. I've watched this thing like this uprooted failed it, there's a shove it is a very like it is not a crazy shove. I know that I know the NBA players are all about flopping but the shove was not. Here's you can't touch the you can't, you know, you're going this may be taken the wrong way, but you're not supposed to touch the animals at the zoo, you're not supposed to touch the players when you go to again. Yes, he was in the wrong. But now it's gotten to insane. The hot take machine have you not seen the heartache machine. This is a great. What I read? The warriors venture broke. Oh. Bro venture. Sorry. The warriors venture bro co owner who's also owner you. She shouldn't touch the player. He was in Iraq. But the reaction who the warriors, venture, bro. Co owner who shove Kyle Lowry is everything wrong with America's billionaire class. They're bringing up like privilege. And this is just showing why you know, why billionaires are out of control. They can do anything they want he was being an asshole fan. It doesn't need to be a bigger discussion. You don't need to bring politics into this, this is why people get so fucking mad at the media. This has nothing to do with politics. This guy sitting in the front row was a fucking jerk off has was a lot of people. I've gone to games fucking jerk off. Okay. There are plenty of working class non billionaires that threw beer on meta world peace, AK runner tail and, and talk to tons of shit to that guy. When runner test punch that guy in the face he had it coming. Right. So fans being Astles games. It's not a it's not it's not a it's a micro part of the billionaire class and like, all ticks clash structure. It's about intimidating the other team. And this is a microcosm with what's going on society and bullying. If you don't let the if you don't let people getting bullied punch back once in a while comes a shit storm, and the NBA is falling, so off, they're fucking horse that according to the Bleacher report, multiple NBA teams have had quote high level conversations and quote about getting rid of the term, quote owner because it's racially insensitive. They out they fucking on it. They own the team having so it's a business not. Anyway, we have a guest, Sean, we do we do. We have one more thing. One more thing before we do. There is a and I feel like buried in all these Kyle Lowry. Hot takes. When I saw Kyle Lowry punch the guy in the face and moved on with their lives. Here's my watch. All those videos that cove insists on tweet out of guys, the eighties punching the shit, each other just let them. Let that light Kyle Lowry shove him back. I have a feeling I don't like how Larry if I got an opportunity of Larry, I would I got to do with the show Jackson at the staple center, did, I think I was entitled to yell at him because I was a billionaire, and it's part of I'm better than him in a racial. No. I, I didn't like him because he was on the Redskins now. He's on the eagles. I want to give a huge hug caught. This is a fan being an asshole thing. It doesn't need to be bigger than that. Also, definitely wouldn't have shoved them if they are walking down a dark alley. That's the part though. Yeah. He would've bright. He did it because he knew he couldn't punch back. It was a bitch move by the guy. But let's, let's not make it bigger than it has to make a pay a fine suspend them. What? Well, he's five hundred. Which that's just a drop in the bucket o billionaire. It's still five hundred fucking grant. It's like five bucks. Still. Still. But really what what's getting lost is the Paul Pierce revelation? Of course, this was. I think the eleven year in verses of Paul Pierce being taken off the court in a wheelchair for some reason, and finally years later. Unlike the Kennedy assassination, lot of conspiracy theories, but we finally got an answer from Paul Pierce himself. Just go to about. Glue the battle. Why did you did a wheelchair to get to the best? Window. Streaking okay. Do. He should himself. That's the only way you, there's no other way to interpret that you shut himself, if you'd have to take a really bad p you don't go give me the wheelchair. I don't want to stand up. They should himself classics in classic. On mount rush-, Phoebe fucking wheel man anyway, so amazing that, that what I did see that. I was surprised that didn't help. It was odd to me that wasn't like trending super super high. How do we? Yeah. Shits pans has to be wheelchair off. How does that? How does that, that should be the bigger story than Kyle Lowry? Yup. Okay. Ryan. Let's do joining us on the line horse racing expert and NBA expert as well. Toronto, Raptors fan, parlay Queen. Thanks for calling him Oni. Appreciate it as always. For having me, and they're happy to be here after big ruptures, wind go up and series. A great time to have me on the great time be rafters fan. Of course, this is just as to be an awesome, week, raptors are up to one of the finals, the Belmont just around the corner. I mean, you, you try and be impartial towards your team. Is there any way you saw them being up to one in the NBA finals when this playoffs started? No. Absolutely not. And I think I mean, I'm a I, I mean, of course, I have to be has roots my rafters born and raised in Toronto. But I have a special ability will put it that way of being able to separate myself, and I take betting very seriously as you all know. I'm able to separate myself and take the emotion out of everything. But if you tell me the raptors evening, a win the series, let alone be leading. It's, it's insane. It's so hard to believe. But obviously we're forced in the sense that there been so many key injuries to the warriors, but I'm not gonna take anything away from the raptors putting up a hundred twenty points. I mean obviously offensively were clicking so we got that going for us. It's like five years of regression happening in, in like a month. Well, and that was that was the interesting thing with the raptors the reason why I just didn't think they were going to go this far is that it seemed like they had trouble figuring out a second score. Behind co. I like it was just like who else is going to carry the scoring load and now it's an abundance of riches. It's like who isn't gonna score vanfleet Lowery just Casale and chats. Like everyone is going off and especially on the road. Normally I mean you know game two they struggled the kind of the side, auxiliary players struggled to put a points to help coli and but then you go on the road. Normally your bench and your supporting cast struggle on the road. But they seem to excel, what do you think is really? I mean it's obvious. Like you said, they're clicking. What do you think is causing that? I think it's just the players hitting the shots. They need to. I mean Kyle Lowry is just so important to us just let alone being a point guard is orchestrating the offense he so important. And when he has a little bit of confidence he shooting the ball. Well, they're just such a hard team to beat. And I loved all the pickups, we had, I loved getting Danny green. Obviously loved getting Mark assault. I just think that, you know, with our team just I mean, I'm just as shocked Xeni one is I'm not at a very, very hard series against the seventy Sixers in the first round in the night. And think we get by the bucks and here we are in. I mean yeah. Just getting the production, we have I mean, our benches been pretty consistent all year. So I figured I'd bench would do pretty well, scoring wise. But just the production we've been getting offense. Yeah. Co I won't we can have choline, Kat drop forty points and still win a game. I mean it's looking good for us, obviously never rooting for an injury. But let's keep Kevin Durant on the sidelines. Long as humanly possible on, I think we now know he's not coming back for sure. And I gotta be honest. So you watch this raptors team play. If you were just take replace the jerseys with Spurs jerseys. It would make sense and they're definitely playing team. And Sean, like we were downing earlier in the play offs. I told you my man Nick nurse would get it done because he, he, he got he got his experience, down there in the Rio Grande valley vipers in the NBA D league coach of the two time champion and coach of the year, Sean hair yourself. I you know, I'm actually really enjoying this. I had money on the warriors in game three and I was truly mad at myself because I enjoy rooting against this warriors team now. It's, it's the he'll, I'm so torn because I normally love hating on the warriors, but that the raptors knocked out my seventy Sixers, and then cold and state loss. Kevin durant. Suddenly, they become like a normal t. Team now and not a super team. And then they lose clay, and all of a sudden they're this scrappy underdog. Again, the team that was fun to root for in two thousand fifteen so I keep calling back and forth. And yeah it's, it's just it's, it's kind of it's been an exciting series. The more goes on the more feels like it's gonna go seven or clay is coming back for game four Kevin Durant is out. So if the raptors win game four I mean that's pretty much a rap. But ensuring let's talk about the series price real quick. Yes. Now, like one of the first times we all season where the warriors are a dog to win the NBA. It's crazy than that, right? Like imagine a world where the raptors were a three to one hundred dollars if you if you parlayed it with win win game one like I did. Yes. They were pretty large dog going into the series. And all that really happened is the equivalent of holding serve, and I know we have the injury stuff and the Durant, maybe people are starting to realize Durant isn't gonna play but for the warriors to come all the way down to plus one ten, it does feel like a steep correction. It does sound like Klay. We'll be back. Yeah. I think that's going to matter. I I'm I'll say the same thing I said before the series Durant will not play. But moaning, I got I mean, even as a raptors fan, you have to be at least peaking at this. Plus odds on the warriors. Yeah. It's very we need. So tempting and one of my buddies texted me that he had. He's actually not from Toronto. He's one of my US friends in one of my NBA fantasy pools. And he told me at the raptors to win in six. So he has big odds on that in cash is huge that ends a caching. I don't know how he got that as a future, but I was thinking momentum is just so big, especially with these few teams I think I do think the warriors win the next game tied up to. And then I feel like as the raptors do end up winning. It's going to be an six or you have warriors and six, I think, I was, I was telling him that maybe look into hedging with Golden State to win and six is that they do end up winning momentum will just be so strong. And I looked up the odds, and I was just stunned to see Golden State winning in six is only plus two seventy five. It's the really isn't much value to think that a team in have to win. Three straight really do that. I mean it's, it's crazy to think about. I feel like he's on the right side with the raptors in six just now knowing like, right. Katie the I highly highly doubt, he's going to be back in Klay. Thompson is just how good is really going to be is going to be limited and also things that people aren't talking about as Kvant looney. That's a huge absence. That's a player that's putting up twenty nine twenty eight minutes a game. Just you're having so many other players that are forced into playing more minutes. You have Quinn cook of McKinney. It Catala these people are playing more minutes than they're really used to. So I really think that messed up the rotation huge, so I mean, it is so, tempting, especially big ING that the words are gonna win the next game to take them at plus odds. But I mean I don't know how you gonna slow down the rafters. I mean. And I always decide defensively the warriors have been, we know they've been vulnerable all year and you've been able to put up points and I mean, you have Steph curry dropping forty seven and they still lose. So I mean, I'm not sure I feel like it is tempting warriors plus anything, so I'm that's. That's, that's what I think. I mean it's clear. They missed the scoring at Klay Thompson. But Klay Thompson defense is Ken, go really underrated at times. And, and yeah I mean perhaps put up one hundred twenty points on the road while and we this was a symptom. We saw earlier in the playoffs, they were losing home games. Yeah, that's great flag does. And even like coming back to what you threw out warriors and warriors and six warriors in seven or the co favorites of exact series series result at plus two seventy five. It's very all of the raptors results are worse than that. I get it. There's more of them, but still it, it seems like that's a mistake in pricing, and I kind of like having that wrapped. I mean I do think there's a chance of the warriors get it back. But if they go down when does Durant play, John? I don't think I I'm busted. He's waiting for the Knicks. He's coming. He's coming home. Well, the mecca, I broke this news on the did you on the Sirius XM radio show. Well, I, I told there you go plug in the competition told everyone that Kyrie Irving was going to Brooklyn, I what two weeks ago weeks ago. And no one everyone thought I was crazy. And now all of a sudden Adrian mode. Unesco. Those Woche bomb on listener show. I had that two and a half weeks ago. I told the he was going to the nets your courtesy of inside sources. No, I. Well. I did. I did bet it over at my bookie that cheap. However, the their limits on. Yes, twenty five dollars. And but it was plus one fifty. So hey plus when fifty still counts, but yeah I mean raptors and six plus four fifty. That's interesting. They've shown they can win and raptors wait in raptors win and five is plus five hundred. It's, it's crazy. I I'm still I still think gold pulls this off. Also take always take Golden State as a dog Golden State with points, especially if quite comes back, I mean it's gonna be tough to tell how good the town series is hamstring is. But if he's playing Friday, I don't think it set series. I think there was a chance that I think I think if it was a game seven he would have played if game three was game seven I think he would have played. But I think they realize, hey, if you're shootings close, any play, you could fuck it up worse. Why not sit this one out? We'll just you know. Most shops most win games must win. So for sorry who's going off in game for. I mean it's going to be someone random, right? I think it could be. But I, I actually I did a draftkings lineup. And I put Klay Thompson to my captain on the dice, so that green twenty-second. Ooh, good matchup. Well, I just he I think it's a it's a super contrarian play, but I think he could be the I think he could be the real difference maker because if you're the raptors you still got to focus your defense around staff. I don't know. I mean it didn't really seem to stop him at all. But yeah, I think I, I kinda have a feeling Klay Thompson has a big game who's your who's your big game player Kramer. Oh, I mean, if you wanna have if you wanna have some onions and play a fun showdown, lineup Iger Dowa and the cab. Really? Yeah. Well, that was the other thing, Igwe dolla, and Draymond green kind of no showed from scoring aspect, and they really needed to step up for Katie, and they just or for clay, and they just didn't. But these lineups are silly. Because it's like curry, and Leonard are gonna get those came from. You have to have them in there. And yeah, I guess, modique what are you looking at in the prop market? I mean the only one that really stood out to me as a really random one in its raptors player. I've so it's surge Baca and it's points, rebounds and assists. And I feel like he always has a fairly good matchup, especially coming off the bench. I think in game one he had ten rebounds, any I don't know. He's attempting seven or eight shots. I feel like he can log as many minutes as they need him too. And I think just coming off the bench. She's going to get all of their rebounds. So I think he's an intriguing option and I don't know what he would cost fantasy. I think you'd be really cheap. That's. But as Pieri total is I think it's only fifteen and a half. So it's very, very low. I think he can get over that maybe nomin rebounds alone. But I think getting a couple of baskets, and then just the rebounding will help that. So he's an intriguing. For four hundred. I think I think DFS you gotta look to surge and go Saul. And I think I played them and in game three but especially we saw boogie. I don't know if there's a conditioning thing. He just went out there playing bogut a lot. Pogue it's going to get you know, he's probably decent value because he's so low priced but Serge and Gonzalo I think are just are good matchup looney up. How high they make the curry point total before you don't take it with the squad as much as we want to say who's going to be the random person that go off. It seems like most likely it will just be Steph curry, it will still be staff. I think you're right. I mean what is point total? I haven't. But I would imagine, it's gotta be like thirty five something right? Thirty three and a half. I don't. Make sane. It is now it's actually lower than thirty two and a half. But the chalk is already high on the over. It's already minus one forty. Yeah. I mean, that's probably stay away, but it just seems I mean house you not putting up thirty point. No, I know. And that's probably why you got to pay the price who scoring points, it clear, the raptors gonna put up some point. So. Yeah. All right. So for me, I'm I'm doing it. Lock it up. Kimmy Golden State, minus four and a half. Oh. I mean to me, that's the only way to play a total. I don't love gun to my head. I would I would take over to sixteen but yeah, so gimme gimme Golden State in the over again. I'm just gonna go down with the ship Kramer. What are you doing? Well, you know, we have a Toronto to win the series of plus three hundred and I don't have that I'm talking to the audience who listen to me, again, heavy Golden State to win the series. Plus one, forty in Iraq. And we also have a little Steph curry to win the F B the MVP in our pocket, what minus one fifty not not a great pet. Maybe not in hindsight, maybe not a good bet there. So what do we do at this point? Sean. Do we continue to boxer selves in? Of course, we do. I really liked the raptors and six angle. I think there is a strong narrative. They win game five. They go on the road. They close it out. They end the dynasty or Dennis de some people say n peer form in front of the hedge fund and. Billionaires wearing their filthy sweaters trying to push guys. Nice guys like Lowry. My guys four to plus four fifty. I'm throwing that out there as a lock shown lock that just the equity. I'm giving you guys is ridiculous. You said like one of those tech guys and San Francisco, you're gonna be seven. Cholera Lowry ran. I've been watching billions, Sean, I'm just guessing. Millions is isn't amazing show. Modique was the was the city of Toronto outrage with the Kyle Lowry incident. Honestly, not really. He's always like giant off at a rather some. And he's always complaining about something. So it was just kind of another, another Lowery moment seem to be a bit over plowed. But so what's your what are your favorite leans here? Favorite bets for the NBA finals game for. This one. This one's tough for me. I feel like I mean, Golden State, I think wins outright. I don't love them on the on the point spread four and a half. I don't love that number kinda feel like I'm leaning towards the under in the game. But a lot of the beds, I'm trying to put together. I feel like our little contradictory. I think one of my favorite butts is Rapids team total for first half, it's only fifty one and a half. I think they're gonna really easily. It's very low number. I think that's my favorite, but I think they come out strong. I think a lot of the points are gonna come early on. But I feel like I lean more towards the under, but was weird is the under overs in the series of been. So it's either been a super under game or super over at it's weird because I mean, I guess you can't really account for the raptors putting up one hundred twenty plus points. So it's, it's an intriguing one but I mean I don't really have much concrete evidence to support it. But I feel. It's going to be an under game. I just feel like it's going to be one of those games where the defense is kinda step up and I don't think the raptors are gonna shoot anywhere near fifty percent from the sealed again. So I feel like I lean under but then with the officiating as well. Yeah, you're having so many free throw attempts per game. And that is just killer. If you're on any total, it's just stopping the clock and getting all those free throws especially with these two teams that are so accurate from the line. I feel like I don't know. I feel like the under but I could be easily persuaded the offer. It does. Well, I do like that team total on the raptors. Yeah. 'cause I'm also leaning over sub again, if you're making me pick a something about the game shy. I'm just going to go back to the well where I lay the points with Golden State because I this is a this is a must win game. They can't go down. Now three one, and I this Toronto team doesn't seem to be complacent. But don't you feel like you kind of you reestablish? Your home court. You got that one when I feel like they're going to be. Here's what I gotta ask modique, if quiet Leonard winds winds Toronto NBA championship, and then promptly leaves. Is he still a hero? Yeah. That's a great question. Course. He'll have course what he's done for the city just as is we're just we're all waiting bated breath to find out if he's gonna stay, there's just been so many, I'm sure you're familiar with all the offers from relisted agents, just offering him five million dollar condos Penn house condos to stay is definitely hear what he's done. Unlimited teen. Yeah. What else? What else can you ask for unlimited Putin, a place to eat, then living stream? He's, he's the perfect Canadian star. Right. Just a quiet guy doesn't talk a lot. He's just is probably super polite. He screaming fuck you. It did it at, at Mr. Popovich right now. Just like you wanna send me up north. I'll be totally. He's totally Jon snow like this. Is this is this is who he is? I know afri- I'm aware, but he got sent north cap and then he becomes a hero hashtag. We are the north. We are the north. All right, move it over to the Belmont. I know. You're yeah. Fresh off the Preakness moving into the Belmont. You, you already got a couple sweet articles over at sports gambling pass dot com. I like this one. The preview odds, why each horse can win and Kent or Ken, Wayne and cannot win. It's a good. It's a great little like inside for guy like mute, again, just kind of hops in place, plays, a couple of hunches, occasionally catches, a huge shot like country house. Now here's what I know about the Belmont. I the thing I know about the Belmont, the one piece of knowledge, I have is that the post position seem to matter a lot in the Belmont emerge. Take your the one two and three post position historically has been key I right? Or wrong their money. I think it depends on the field size obviously with this with ten Horsfield doesn't really matter where you draw. Obviously, if you're closer doesn't really matter that much. I don't know. I mean if you can find evidence to support that, you know, the ends I post are winning more often. I think that's just true of Belmont Park in general. I think. Yeah but just with smaller field. I don't think anyone to be honest is hindered by any of the post positions that they did draw. Well, in having the, the I believe they're the two favorites sitting on the outside. That's that's awfully interesting. I really enjoyed how Sean obviously prepared at their wanted to get some validation piece couple random. That was that was well. That was the most polite. Again. She's eighty he can't call me a fucking Navient. Historically. I don't know if that's quite true. That was a perfect answer. Those total Leonard answer. Exact the claw. Who do you like Sean who do I like? Well, you know, me I'm gonna go I'm gonna go long shots. I do like this Joe via horse trainer, Gregory Sacco Jackie Jose. Liz Kano ever fast ever fast. I actually like as as a horse to win. And then and then one that on that Monique threw out there is. Oh, yeah. Bourbon war. He's the other guy like so I'm leaning my tribe ox. Oh, he's looking like Joe via ever fastened bourbon war, and the maybe sprinkle a little bit on ever fast and, and bourbon war to win outright. But that that's where I'm going Kramer. What are you doing here? Oh, you're gonna throw it to me. I, I was I was hoping to hear what do you what should people know about the course let's start there or the track. I mean. Just it's, it's an interesting, race, course obviously with the trainers jockeys, the only one that doesn't have Belmont, Stakes in particular experiences were wills jockey, but I mean everyone's been milio with the Belmont Park at this point the distance is obviously Sunday, take note of a mile and a half is just not what most horses are bred for. So you have certain horses that are out of sires that have historically done better in the Belmont Stakes. So name, you'll hear a lot is tap it. And he's been a super dominant sire for specially Belmont Stakes runners, he's won three of the last five as a sire. So he's produced a lot of good offspring that really take well to the Belmont surface and the distance to that's something to take note of, I think what you should be doing. If you're looking into the Belmont Stakes just trying to figure out what you like if you're backing multiple runners, don't take too deep. Closers. Don't take two front runners. They try to figure out the way the racist gonna play out. I think horses tend to run true to form. So you kind of look at their racing history and kind of figure out where they're going to be in the race. I do think we've always been talking about how wide open this year is triple crown trail has been. So, I think if there is going to be an upset along the triple crown trail outside of country house. I think that the Belmont Stakes is definitely the race where it could happen. I think there's a lot of with three year old in particular, especially with a lot of the new fresh faces. They're just so lightly raced, we've only seen four five races out of these horses. So we really don't know what to expect. So I think if there's ever going to be a, a race to take a long shot on, I think Belmont, Stakes exactly the when you should. Schoen Louie, tell you a story. Yes. There's a horse in the field. Sir, Winston who the other day I was looking at I was looking at odds to throw the most passing yards this year in the NFL. And I thought, hey Bruce Arians. He likes to go deep Jameis Winston. What about that? He's shown a propensity to sling the rock and not give a fuck where he's throwing it at. It's also true, no risk, it, no biscuit or Syrians, Mata, so based on that very scientific approach, I'm going to suggest, even though I, I did. Shana actually, went to sports gambling podcast dot com. And I and I read say the Belmont Stakes preview by our own Monique. And she basically says don't bet on this horse doesn't do well at this level, I'm going to take a stab at the jockey Joel Rosario health care for, I'm also. I'm also going to throw I'm aligned with you guys on bourbon war. And then I feel like if. The last leg of my tribe. And if I'm doing a super factor, I'm gonna throw the nine and ten in there. But if I'm just doing a tribe ox, I'm gonna throw in war of will in in my tribe. So that's it. I feel like I I've done. All right on the old the old Benton. I I've, I've, I've boxed enough stuff to where I've won. You know what the worst thing about betting on horses shown when you win. And then you realize you still lost because you, you did such a big box that you spent too much money. He'll feels good that you win. But you lost anyway. All right. Does she mean I know what you mean a winner motive? I mean yeah, no, you're completely right? On that winning a not winning. It's even worse when it's like a multi leg. So it's like a what would be it would be a par light. And you do like a pick four pick five and yet one longshot and then it comes favorite favorite. You're just hoping to get your money back. And you're just praying, then you realize you take a huge loss on your ticket, and the race has even been ran yet. Those the worst feeling. For the Belmont. I mean, bourbon war like we said, I think he's one of those who had an excuse last time out in the Preakness I think when a horse doesn't run. Well, you always kinda wanna make excuses for them, rather than just say that their form is regressing or that, you want, you want to find something adding blinkers for the Preakness definitely didn't do him any favors. I think getting Mike Smith on board is a huge asset. I think his price is just so intriguing to me. Now the short oppress horses. I think Tacitus is obviously someone that's going to be heavily bet in for good reason his fantastic breeding everything points towards in handling the distance. Well, and I think he's going to be one of those horses that work out and absolutely perfect trip. I think is going to be quite a bit of speed. And I think like we saw the Preakness war of will just have a perfect perfect trip is just one of those horse racing is all about pace and the trip. And I think you know speed. It alone on the front end is so dangerous just like getting that perfect stocking trip. And in his case Tacitus case, I think he's going to be a little bit off the pace, but I just think that, you know, having the added furlongs which he would've loved in the Kentucky, Derby just going to do him. So many favors the price is short, but I can justify that. I like him and bourbon Warren, we'll just box them. We're not gonna overcomplicate this keep it simple and my throat, the Tri box, but in kind of said, ever fast and bourbon war, but I I'm leaving even ever fast as the winner because, you know, in your blog posts you bring up a great point, where that's ever. Fast is last start in the Preakness was by far is most impressive closing from as many as twenty two lengths back to finish second. That's what you want from a horse in this kind of race. Right. Absolutely. It you know, at the end of the day with the Belmont Stakes. Just you're gonna have so many horses that are going to be tiring on the front end and wit speed entered. It's very likely that there is a pace stool fast, fractions upfront, and that just benefits closer so well and I tend to for horses on a weekly basis, I love to see their last race. And I like to see them entering off their career career-best race or off victory and just to see his last race. Was it kind of came out of nowhere for me just before his best speed figure his best placing outside of the maiden win. It's just it looks like maybe are clicking. So you're gonna get a fantastic price on hand. So I mean, I can't blame you you're gonna be getting probably twenty to one somewhere around that range. So that's definitely. Well, that's great. And make sure you check out all of parlay queens articles over at sports gambling podcasts dot com. Make sure you give a follow on Twitter at par lay Queen anything else. You wanna throw out their money. Now just go wraps. Go. Now I can actually say because now hearing about this future on Toronto's, ultimately, we're all in. Let's do it. All right. I believe at Geico could save you fifteen percent or more on car insurance. Hour number three of the rich Eisen show is on the air and Goldberg, the hammers about to call in and give us his two cents to get us more than two on the on the Preakness thirteen worse. It seems like a lot for the Preakness. Doesn't it? So Hanks about the join us right here. Tiger is I can't say in the fairway and I can't say on the green after that shot. He is. He's, he's often running he teed off. I whole he's two over par coming into today. I hold today snapped at so far left on his first T-ball snapped at so far left, that it took several minutes for while it's not the masters call the patron the gallery, the, the yeah Gary, here's army. That's it's a public course in New York City, the people, the peeps, a pitiable to get the people out of the way. Hey, yo get out away. Tyco Z snapped that he's, he's he snapped at so far left him. Nearly snap this whole head off right? Hey, and it landed in the deep deep rough, which is called in Gulf fescue. But a New York fescue is what they told me when I cut them off in traffic. Fest me. No. You. I'm saying that's the way it goes in New York. When we play some golf on the throngs Nick, did you tell me too fast. You. So, but the ball, you could see it in the fescue, and tiger got it to the greenside bunker. Wow. And now he's out. And he's putting for par. Now, it'd be a scramble unbel- to start the round today. Right. So KEPCO is out there. He seven under. He's too in front of Jordan, speak, your clubhouse leader at five under after shot four under today. Just like Daniel Burgi. He's four under par periods. Same as Dustin Johnson. Tommy fleetwood. He's four holes into his rounded, a one under four under on the tournament. So that's the way we're rolling right here on the PGA championship will keep an eye on all of that is the on the ham. All right. Here can you can you can we call the hammer to post right here on the rich Eisen show. Can we do that? Good to see a Hank to see what's going on having. The C KEPCO just put one moving into three feet on the first of all we go to have midnight. I haven't nine to one is that really nine to one that obviously pretournament, right Hank. Yeah. Okay. What else you got on this on this championship? Anything or that's your only ticket. I played Patrick, however, you say his name, but he's under pantley finished. His second round. Very good. All right, Hank. Let's get to it right here before we get to the Preakness. What did you think of that finished? You think that was the rightful Diku of maximum? Yeah. You did. Okay. Yeah. I thought that he had to come down by I was on the air at the time. And I said before Bill Maher said that this was the third race. That's your favorite local racetrack. He would have come down within five minutes. I think that the decision that I don't agree with was was suspending fires for fifteen days. I think he did whatever he could to avoid an accident and did a good job of restoring horse, so that there was no accident. NCI. Actually should be praised for for avoiding any further trouble in the race and he's going to repeal that. I hope he wins that those stewards, I agree with what they did. Although I don't know why they had to be acclaim how you know, they should have put you know, they should have put it in as a problem before that. And why it took them forty minutes to make a decision. I didn't understand that either. What do you think of the idea of a lawsuit by maximum security, the owners of maximum security? Hank, I wouldn't bet on them. I mean, how many times can they disqualify this worse this there's, there's no chance? Right. Approve. Now, I wonder how what, what is the etiquette of handicapping here Hanky? Do you go up to Bill Mont and say, how come you didn't you know whisper my year about, you know, the long shot to win country house? Why don't you whisper about that? Do you do that? The win the race with that horse that amazing. You know, he he, he really likes to, you know, his other horse to, you know who was. You know, he likes who had really trained up to that race. And, you know, the race was a fluke. It was written, you know, it was run in terrible conditions. There was a lot of a lot of bumping around going on because of tracking so gooey and the horses were hitting each other through the whole the whole race in his horse. In fact, that the one who the like got knocked around plenty and he ran a big race considering all the difficulty at night. I think the Belmont will be interesting. Okay, let's get to the Preakness right here, Hank the hammer Goldberg on the rich Eisen show, this a large amount of horses for the Preakness. It seems like so but you, you would obvious. Better. Okay. Yeah. Usually a lot of a lot of forces, a lot of horsemen pass on the Preakness coming out of their every, which happened again, but because of the field is not supposed to be as tough this year bought horses entered MS thirteen horses in, but you know horses, but this was an odd year and that there were a few horses who with a break or two could have been in the Kentucky Derby but didn't have enough points. And some of them are in this race in one of them. I like a lot a lot. I'd like it. All right. Let's get into it. Who do you like a lot in this Preakness? I like bourbon war. I talked to his trainer. Marquette guest today, Mark and I are good friends and call them he got right back to me. This is a horse that ran in the fountain of youth, and he was second, and he's a closer and he was running on a speak favor and track. And he grant fourth in the Florida derby, and he was just beating out of the third spot by code of honor who ran a big race in the Kentucky Derby, and, you know, hit the board, but and if, if this worse had gotten a little bit of a better started as move a little earlier, he would have beaten code of honor on a speed savior and you track. And, you know, we of course, you know, maximum security, one that raised with as loan speed, and he should like the extra. Distance in this race and talking with with Mark. He's told me that these making a little sleight just adjustment equipment adjustment, with what they call short term blinkers so that the horse will make his move a little earlier. He's got way war of will or way of will rather and warriors charge on either side of them. Both of whom are going to go for the lead early, which will create a lot of room for max are of for bourbon war. Excuse me, and he should get a real smooth trip and ideal trip from the two posts. Okay. And, and this worse. He's training great right now. And he's as good as an horses that ran in derby based on his performance on speed favoring tracks in Florida and he should get the best of it because there's a lot of speed in this race. That's up for him. I like the odds at twelve to one right now, as you and I are talking, he won't be twelve to one. Okay. That guy made a bad line. And when you get a bad line in football, you go for it. And this was a bad line I, he should be five or six to one and, you know, the trainer agrees with me, if there's no way, I think he's gonna get bit. Okay. Don't think you'll be twelve to one post time but, but I, I came so much. I never bet horses to win. I'm betting this horse to win. That is a very high praise quality endorsement from the hammer. All right. Then how do we fill out a ticket exact as trifecta supers me out here how sign I want to Hank? I want to sign up. I wanna sign or to a signer aren't just that's all I want. You know, all right. You ready? I'm ready. Yeah. I sort of giving you the signer in the last race. All my dad was suppose twenty remember. But I didn't put him on. But I didn't put him on. Top could you imagine a fifty cent was fifty grand right for this super derby or grand cash? But anyway. It's interesting talking with some of the trainers, they horse, they think may be the one to beat is Owen deal post five, okay? He's tend to one okay he'd be another twist of fate who six to one out of the twelve bowls, who got a bad post, and he wa- still when the L and a race who that was running Kentucky Owen. Dale is was a little bit Lexington stakes chat three starts this year. And he's one twice. And he's got the right kind of style and, and he's getting good at the right time. I think you have to use improbable 'cause he's the class of the race. And although I remember talking to Elliott Walden from Winstar about possible distance limitations for the source, and he said that, because the sire side would suggest that. And you said this, I wouldn't. Have distance limitations. Well the race she ran in every would indicate that he thought that he couldn't make the mile and a quarter. He was in good position and he just didn't fire and stretch. So I'm putting him probable in because I think you have to use them. He's Baffert who an all seven pregnancies that the that he won the horses came out of the derby. Okay. And then there's another horse in here called always mining. We six for six are this year is last six races. All of them were run at one track Boral. He, he won the Tesco, and he came from a little bit off the pace. Normally he's on the lead. But I would put him in there and talking with a couple of trainers. I in fact, talking with with the trainer of bourbon War I asked him about other horses. He said, he looked at film of always mine. He, he said, that's a good horse. Okay. So what do you got for me here that scared off by the fact that he's only one at one track. Okay. And remember the test show used to be run at Pimlico, but they only weren't run twelve races a year. Now if I'm like, oh, so this'll be as I race over that track. So I'm gonna use the two with the five to seven and, and the four. Okay. So you it comes to five seven, you're going to have a signer. Okay. All right. So your, your best exact is what to five bourbon war and Owen deal. Yes, it is. Okay. And. Trek fan. I if you wanna throw in one more worse. Okay. Who, who will give you the bomb. It's warriors charge who's who's only who's never run into stakes race. But he's two for two at the races at Oaklawn and he won his last twelve and a half lanes. And he's got a ton of speed. Okay. And he may, you know, he may hold on for peace. Best exact is to five, and if you're doing a try you want you, you have to throw him probable two five four, right? What you said and then two to five to five seven okay, very good. But she's always mining. Thank you. Thank you. The best man. I am mandated ask you, as we go out the door right here, the tests is that named after the go to character from the godfather, Hank, I you know, if that was a mistake that they made because PepsiCo was the guy who, who ratted out. Remember, Michael sure, named the race the Clemenza, he was loyal. You're right. You know, as you know, test yo asked Frank Kagan it'd be let off the hook for old time sake didn't work out. Spoiler alert, you know what I'm saying time. It's all time sake. That's why we're gonna win this race this one time for old times. Well done. We'll chat with you and a couple of weeks, I chat soon. Okay. Rates that's the hammer and colder to named the Clements the Clemente. The gun taken on. Okay. So to five is the exact. And then to five seven or in two five four it's two five seven four for the super. Fact, he says, that's your signer. Yeah. I think if you box Tribeca, two five four seven okay. You're safe. Now when he when he says, again for folks, a signer that means if you win so much money, nine four to sign for the federal government knows you pay your taxes at the track. That's right. That's called a signer ten ninety nine g there was assaulted. I'll tell you what, man. There was a signer Churchill Downs. Yeah. Yeah. Oh my God borsch was fifty fifty four thousand bucks was a super one dollar SUV. You put down a dollar right for the super, and if you hit it turn into fifty four thousand dollars. Oh my gosh out, because that was amazing one thousand dollars pardoned beef. But as you know, I like the box stuff I like the hedge, I want to say, okay when we come back what, what are you going to the news crawl? We got lots of good stuff. We got we hear from Patrick Peterson Peterson. We'll Cowboys will giants some NBA rumors saw. And then the, the Mets have a heck of a promotion. That's a great day. Okay. We got all that coming up. We're keeping an eye on the leaderboard, by the way, tiger scrambled for his par and Brooks. Kepco birdied the hole. I'm telling you that he is going to run away and hide seriously. Yeah. That nine to one, Hank got nice. Nice actually. Okay. Yeah. Right. So as we mentioned last segment, Brooks KEPCO through one was on pace to be eighteen under par today. Smashing his course record of seven hundred yesterday. And then he stepped to the second hole and he's still on par for an eighteen under round. He birdied to, and he's not under this guy. Yeah, I said he was going to go run and hide today. I said that last hour run and hide Brooks cat run. And which is why I would have taken him to take our poll question. But I think people are still down on game of thrones. Updated over there, Chris. Yeah. So Mondays headline when we come back most likely headline on Monday three percent. Improbable. Wins. The Preakness thanks to Hank Goldberg. I think influencing that one bucks up three oh nine percent KEPCO winning the PGA sixteen percent warriors up three oh twenty eight percent disappointment in the game of thrones. Finale forty four percent? How about that game of thrones? Fennell Adam Scott. My good buddy from the Genesis open is four under today through five whoa. He's three-under-par. He just birdied his well, there's a group of players at two-under par. A player from Bangkok Thailand. I, I would I, I would ask you to say that it's just so good press. It is jazz, jazz, okay? He's got jazz hands. But yes. Oh man. Jane wanna ton on now. Well, it's just like that close. What Jane Wotton Anand is what I'm just I'm being hooked on phonics. Okay. Jane, it is. It is. It is. Letter, last name announed. Yeah. Jane watt. Jane Wotton on. And it looks like just go by jazz. You know. You know, you heard how thanks you jazz? Jane jazz hands. You heard how hang said last segment. Another twist of fate. Yeah. A horse. That's what this. That's what this name looks like it's all together. It's crazy. Mike. You can't pronounce this name, though. I wouldn't even I'm not gonna try Wotton on and Lorenzo VERA, I would go with that one one. Let's go to phone lines right here, Brian into mecca California, Temecula, California. Chris Brockman is taken many videos of slot machines and put it on his Instagram. Stop winning the what's going on Brian. Thanks mccoll. Rich. Ruled that I'd like you to take to Peter King driving, the crazy outta me for many years, it is. And it's a simple one where a team is printing to the other team and they punt the ball in the air and it goes down towards the receiving team. And the guy decides okay, I'm not gonna feel this. So he's telling his buddies to get away from the ball the old Peter play. Yeah. Yeah. Go ahead. No. No. It's called. It's called the screen the word Peter out. And when they hear the word Peter, they're supposed to run away from the don't ask me why it's cold air. Yes. That's what is he'll Peter play. The ground and being football. The way it is all blowing. It can take all kinds of different balances. So you've got a team now that's blocking for the person who's they think is gonna receive this ball and take off running permit term, and they don't know where the ball is the ball, hits the ground and barely Knicks their jersey automatically that ball becomes live. And you've got you know, twenty two guys now flying down the field. Full spiel slamming into each other to try and get a live ball. So what would you change have is the white like the Vikings are playing the Packers? I'm a Packers fan. Vikings put to the Packers minute fourteen after the game Rogers, you're going to get the ball back to try and win the game. But Jared Bush going down the block doesn't see the ball hit the ground in these, you know, his, his return is telling me get away whereas all hits his jersey and becomes alive bowl. Minnesota recovers in Rogers. Never get it took the rest, four minutes, and thirteen seconds to verify that the ball, actually touched his jersey. So let me ask you this Brian before before. I got to get to the news update. What's your fix because the ball if it does hit a member of the of the? The receiving team. It's live so and that and I do like that rule. I wouldn't want to change that. What, what is, you know, what constitutes a grazing or a full touching is the problem. Were you still get the ball to the offense? But you penalize them when the ball goes out of the end zone. So if the ball touches one of your team members still give the punt return team the ball but penalized and ten to fifteen yards from the where the ball touch them. Because as a punter, I know that my ball hits the ground it could go forward more towards the end zone. And that's what I rely on. You don't want to take that away from me. But if if it touches one of my opponent, my receiving team offenders than still penalize me as the receiving team by putting the ball backwards ten to fifteen yards after this is the goal don't give it to the other team don't make it live where now the injury factor is what I'm really seized guys are diving into their arms ner hands and they're getting just hammered. Brian, thanks for the call. You know what I'm going to still stick with mine with Peter boat when Peter calls next week. I'll give Brian into McClellan airing with Peter, see if it matches what anybody else's said. How does that sound like? That's fair enough. Yeah. Let's take one more call right here, buddy. Jeff in Detroit. It's been a while. What's up, Jeff? My to, you know what I love you guys so much. I was just talking to be why had no control over the radio and had to listen to her not going to say the name of this particular sports, but he loves to hear himself talk. And he, he mentioned, the Brian so much would've thought the was still in the play on, right? And he loves to play with their no beyond live. Oh, it's all good. It looks sometimes you just gotta stick with the guy loves to play family feud with his BFF on text. That's all man. Oh man. I listen question to you. Do you remember a playoff being this good? And being this involves what else somebody named of Ron not only that the quality of play on every, and these are household names in, I guess things that we're used to seeing this playoff series, the whole entire plans on the hall has been like eight one, and that's with. No. Pistons will sufficient for short periods the pan. But yet. I hear you Jeff. I hear you. I'm sorry that you went. I thought I'm sorry that you went through that whole thing without us. But thanks for calling in always left from you. Right back at you Jeff, thank you Jeff in Detroit. You got a news update over there is so good. He's, he's going to run and hide seal later lap the field. I really believe in nine birdies. Eleven pars in the twenty I don't know he's so locked in right now. I mean as long as the there's no like weather change. And but a weather change affects everybody. Let's it. Let's it the vans up. Brockman federal live report. Rock men with the news, brought to you by the twenty nine hundred Honda Civic lineup from the fun to drive civic sl versatile civic hatchback to the record breaking performance of the civic type r there really is a civic for every enthusiasts head your Honda dealer today to find yours. Christopher what do you have over there this week? Patrick Peterson cardinals. He hit with the six game suspension for PD us on. He was at his foundation last night and talked about it. Definitely definitely. Sorry, what, what, what we're broke out today, but for the for the most part, I just want to I think you guys understand my character, and also understand my commitment on and off the field. And also to my teammates in, in. Also today's on the cardinals organization that's why this is apparently very, very hard for me because I've never been in a situation before never wanted to have my name attached to anything like this. I'm just happy that now I can I can put it behind me. I known about it for months and knock can put it behind. Apparently. Well, I mean again when the NFL doesn't the NFL in the NFL PA PA do not say exactly what it was. But, you know, word comes out depends on and I had no idea. He's type two diabetes yet, and then apparently feeling sluggish she took something not feel sluggish didn't know that there was something banned in there. It is the rule that whatever you put in your fault for putting it in their doesn't matter if it's. Yeah. That's what happened. That's the there's no gray area. If it's in your body, you're the one who put it there. Now why was his six games and was only four I don't I honestly don't know. I can't sit here and I don't know only know Brooks kept guys no longer on pace for an eighteen hundred. He he part three. I mean he's slowing down. Guys these going down to birdies in a bar. I mean I don't know jeeze. I know Jason went we knows coming back to the Dallas Cowboys this year. It's tight end and was talking to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram said most talent on this year's Cowboys team he's ever played. I couldn't I couldn't believe it. I can't believe it, obviously played with Diddy. Did did he and Emmett overlap? Question. I think they had to have right. When did wit I come off the campus of, Tennessee and into the Dallas star first year they were on hard knocks? Right. So, so Emmett's last year in Dallas was two thousand two right. And it hasn't been around that long as he he's been around forever. But not that long, not that long. So Jason Whitten's first year in, Dallas was two thousand three they go. So Zeke has to be their most talented running back since Emin. Correct for sure. Okay. Amari Cooper has to be their most talented wide receiver. With dez. I mean who else is he had at that position miles Austin? Right. I mean right. Offensive line is, is good as its Keyshawn. I mean, we could go fleas right? Joey Galloway does Joey Galloway date him to o t o. Defensively. This is as good as defensive team there isn't football. You know how I feel about this defense, their stacks day can move stack that he can move so. I believe. Now, we get down to the Jack Romo conversation. I told you what I thought about the Dallas Cowboys this year. It's their division to lose. They want it last year. I don't think anybody's gotten appreciably better in the division to knock him off. I know the eagles fans would disagree with that. But it's the Dallas Cowboys division to lose. They want it last year. They made it to the second round of the playoffs. They won a playoff game last year, by the way they beat the Seahawks. That's no joke. It didn't. Right. So they wanna playoff game at home. Last year he played well against the right now. They gotta get to at home, and the do that you got to win your division and have a great season man, imagined the aerials or win, or, you know, if you went to at home, that means you also got a buy week and you get to the Super Bowl in the eagles start. Oh in two and foles gets off to a hot start off, please. I mean, we could go, you know what this is what we'll do in the middle of the summer news days. Here's what we'll do. We'll, we'll play family feud. And I know what we'll do is. Will will just come up with scenarios. Yes, I'm here positive positive scenario here for the house, it of and, and nightmare scenarios for teams. And we'll just go through it love it. How's that? All right. Let's stay in the NFC east, we've been talking about the giants allot Daniel Jones. Well so far is looked really good in rookie camp. Evan Ingram said Reese naps is that off. There's three snaps judgment. Evan ingram. They're tight end was planning its charity softball game Iki stadiums said that he's picking up the offense really fast. They've been trying to throw some stuff at him. And he's handled it really well, it's great. That comes off of Mike Shula saying last week when he said that Daniel Jones would be ready to go week one. If needed. You know, people will always talk football with me, right? And, and by the way, I love it. I'm not really. So waiters. Valet. Anywhere. Sure. People who I just come across going out to eat going around town, whatever I run in so many giants fans out here as a lot out here. All freaking out still. They've gone from my gentleman shes. No, he's doing right. 'cause the jets took care of that. Well, josh? Well cattleman on the payroll and the Redskins. I will take full credit for bathing him. He didn't bring it up. I brought it up. He did. But I, I just had fun. I had fun with them. He knows that sometimes I'm going to throw out a little cheese. He ate it though. He knows when he's taking it too. So we're all understanding when it was fun. That's making rounds today. It's all in good fun, fun, but. There. They've gone from, I don't know if it's a stage of grief or whatever, but they've gone from our general manager doesn't know what the hell it is. He's doing too. Is this guy? Good. Like they know they got him. They know he's there is any good. Yeah. He's good. I just we don't know how what's going to happen. And you talk about what happens if the eagles start owing to and foles goes, like crazy. What happens? What happens if the giants go onto own three and darnold looks great in that hometown? What happens then? Right. And what's happening exactly. Daniel Jones gets out there right in delight of the glue far. I mean, I, I don't know how the and this is the end game scenario for him for his career their New York which as you know, is a third rail subject and. Again, we'll just do this all in July. Let's hit the scenario is a nightmare scenario and NBA ready to rumors real quick. So Jackie MacMullan was on ESPN podcast recently with wind horse, and they were talking about Anthony Davis and the draft lottery. Yes. And she said she was told through channels that gale Benson, who owns the pelicans would trade, Anthony Davis to the Lakers, quote over my dead body, it kind of looked like that was the approach during the season. Yes. Thirty one speculating that Anthony Davis, west coast bound after the Zay on. I mean you wanna talk about an what they did. I mean they totally they totally messed up. The lakers. Oh, yeah. Totally right. Jack them. I know it leaves it worked. No. But at least. Magic's able to tweet now. From last night. Steph curry was playing like the old Steph curry before, K D joined the warriors tonight. He had thirty nine points, eight rebounds and eight assists. Thirteen thousand likes who's liking that. Then just moments later Draymond green. Steph curry with the best you players on the floor tonight for the world champion warriors. Sixteen points, ten rebounds, seven assists and five blocks for dream on. Wow. Just five point three thousand lines giving us the hundred likes. I'm so glad he's able to do that now. Or I'm here's this one from the draft lottery night. I miss this one Laker nation. Kyle Kuzma worked his magic to get the number four pick for our Lakers in the NBA draft. The Lakers are gonna get a really good young player to help LeBron and the team next season. Twenty nine thousand likes on that one. Here we go. How about that? How Kouzmin able to witness himself getting traded firsthand. But all of these are our he could have he could have he can't tweet about the warriors. If he's still Lakers president right about how great drawn dream onto free agent. He had seventy Tamminen. That'd be tampering. Yeah. What else over there? So Mark Stein was talking to Steven A, and they're talking about some Kevin Durant, Kyrie rumors. Everyone, of course, has them package deal to the Knicks. But Mark Stein, saying that the nets kyri is going to look at the nets just as hard as the worse. Yeah. Of course, both of them, they'll K D, And Kyrie, we we had Brendan Shaw on earlier this week. You know, there's the, the fight tomorrow night, and Barclay center in Brooklyn big fight the Deontay, wilder latest, right? Brazil file, and he's like the boxing in, in New York City's moved to Barclay, saying it's not about MSG anymore, which is an absolute travesty pave. All the big events, travesty rock and roll fame goes in Barclay bar, all where's the NBA draft? Yeah. Barclays. So, and that using the felt phone. Square, paramount felt forum and under the garden. Yeah. The NFL draft is on a road. It's in Vegas next year. They're about to order to two more towns, it was in Nashville last year. It was in Dallas before that Philly before that in Chicago twice before that. The reason why got it on the road is because Radio City Music hall decided to hold something called some spring spectacular out of the blue. Let the NFL no a year in advance. Your dates are no longer available. We're going to have some sort of spring spectacular for Easter and the rock cats and the NFL's, like, okay, then we'll hold it mother's day two weeks later. And then decided in that year long interim. We'll just take it out of New York City, period, and Radio City musical didn't hold the spring spectacular. After all, that, just made the NFL move the dates totally. Made them move for no reason. Lost the draft Dolan, owns that building to. Yup. Yeah, man. I'm used your story. Go wormhole. Three boxing, and football, I'm on, it's like a three dimensional Dolan, wormhole right now careful careful. All right. Last one guys last one July fifth. You guys got plans to I v July fifth day. I mean we are off that that fraud. Friday. Yeah. Yeah. Friday, Seinfeld day in New York. I guess the Phillies the Mets are going to have a Seinfeld night. I was on sports center. I was on sportscenter standing on the corner of Columbus. And like, eighty I I like the story getting ready to go play golf. But the palace intrigue, the backstabbing, the drama, the politics, I want good character. Conversation and dialogue. That's what I want. And I want a surprise on who's on the throne. And I wanted an oh, you know, what moment, one more of them like a red wet like one more of them. Gimme one more. Well, who's LA? I mean, it would be John, killing Danny. Derby Countdown Show - May 1, 2019

"Victory toiling. Real. The one hundred twenty running Kentucky Derby for. News. Three. On the tug interbay to here. Feet at what are the Kentucky? Derby said Seattle seventy seven Sparty Jones has done one piece. Duckie? Welcome to the derby countdown on HR n presented by Hillen Dale farm now live from our red brand broadcast Churchill Downs. Here's host Bobby new men. Wednesday morning here in Louisville. This is the Turbie countdown presented by Hillen. Dell. Farm on the horse racing radio network. Bob Newman alongside jute failed on the backstretch at Churchill Downs. And we are just three days out from Kentucky Derby, one forty five two days out from the Kentucky oaks, Jude another beautiful morning here in Luke. Pantasma Tayo low seventies and few clouds in the sky, but beautiful weather in the horses are coming on the track right now for the special training segment of the day. And we got quite a few of them out. Here should mention that. This is actually taped we are on right now at seven thirty in the morning because the horses for both the oaks and the derby have special training session just to themselves from seven thirty to seven forty five each morning. So we are taping this first segment as we watched the oaks and derby contenders come onto the track. Live can have a great next two hours on tap for you several guests coming to visit us, Ed. Let's talk you search twin spires be with us about eight twenty five. Walker Hancock pleasant president of Kleber and beyond about eight forty five. Gary falter, Julie clear from owner view about nine AM, and then Ned toffee general manager of spendthrift farm beyond with us about nine eighteen horses now on the track. This is the training. Port. Brought to you by ding, Dorton CPA's and advisors proud to support tax in the greatest two minutes in sports, Jude the oaks and derby horses coming onto the track. Now, it is tax time. Yeah. And he just walked by a couple of seconds ago backing up the wrong way the racetrack and he'll turn around and Gallup at some point Seren Getty empress out there. She's she's jogging the wrong way as well. Most of the horses. Probably Gallup this morning they've had their works. And now it's time to turn around your paid a pot full here Churchill Downs earlier in her career. She looks good. She's backing up as well. Right now. Few interesting notes comparing today with yesterday we saw most of the derby and oaks contenders on the track during this dedicated time. Bob Baffert saved a couple of his runners for after the next break. He actually waited with game winner and with Florida Lamar, and then we had a couple of derby runners, actually, not yet. Yet here at Churchill as of yesterday for the training time maximum security, and the comb I think yesterday was actually the due date. If you want to say if you will for when everyone had to be on the ground. So hopefully, we'll get our first look at them this morning as well. Yeah, we got motion emotion right in front of us. Now. She's just standing here like stats. Check him at all out. She's got the van Burg purple and gold tack on and her pink saddle towel for the Kentucky oaks. And she's a. Can really nice and Tom van Berg actually out with her walking her a little bit on the track right now. He was you didn't get to listen yesterday. A great guest and super confident in his Philly. It sounds like she is just super tenacious. She's got a lot of natural speed. But he believes that she doesn't need to be in front to really do her best running. Yeah. She looks good or coats. Nice. And she seems very relaxed which is nice to see we saw spinoff going earlier. And he seems a little keyed up. Here comes roadster, Gallup and bias. Now, he he seems to be improving as the days go by he's not nearly as imposing of physical specimen as stablemates game winner and improbable, but he's every bit as talented, and he was the first one actually on the track for this dedicated derby and oaks training session. Other Debbie and oaks contenders backing up on the clubhouse turn we've got a few of them heading toward us right now. Little bit of a weather report. There goes street band one of the oaks contenders. Win win win who kind of wise guy horse for the derby backing up now. Yeah, you looks good. And he really breezed well for the race in coming up to it in great shape. I think I think everyone wishes that we could duplicate the weather. We have this morning for the rest of the week here at Churchill doesn't sound like that's going to happen. If the people who get paid to forecast, the weather are worth their salt. We're gonna have a little bit of rain somewhere later in the week. Well, I wanted to clips award with the line, the weatherman is a lousy handicap or so. And I'm sticking by that. Where's Jude Redfield when you need them improbable just galloping by for Bob Baffert, just these are all just maintenance stretching your legs getting out and little maintenance works. There's nothing no serious work to be done today. Omaha beach just continues to impress every morning too. Nice and smooth and cruising around there. Like, he owns the joint. You looks fantastic. Fishery the four to one morning line favorite for the Kentucky Derby and drawing post twelve which I guess if you if you're an Omaha beach fan, he's right where you want be. Yep. Long range tidy and by. He's just hobby horsing around there. War of will. I believe did not get the best of the post position draws. I know you're not a big post position your guy when it comes to a mile and a quarter. But post one out of twenty is usually not what somebody would like, well, especially where we'll he's been kind of keen in the mornings here, and he's going to have to use himself from the real to get out tax looking good this morning. He's got his neck bowed. What can great and roaster around. Again, got around there pretty quick this time. So he warmed up a lot faster than has passed. Maybe it's a situation where the exercise rider for roadster has to get back and get back on game winners, they need to be first on the track for this dedicated session. So they can get back and get tacked up and for game winner who's the only three Baffert derby runners, we haven't seen so far looks good. Yeah. She's a pretty Philly. She I might be a little partial 'cause they cashed on her fifty. Four dollars or whatever. But I think I'd be I would be impartial. Streep in looking good, by my standards. Another one who has been catching the eye in the mornings here training up to the derby his neck boat. He looked like he was really just enjoying himself playing around and speaking with trainer yesterday. It sounds like he loves the spotlight. Yeah. He's he's been a big white guy horse all week and a lot of people love in the way. He's training cutting humor backtracking right now long with spinoff, cutting humor. A little bit of next sweat nothing. Nothing too out of the ordinary though. Yes. Spinoff he settled down. There's war will again, he really wants to go. He'll be flying out of the gate on Saturday. That's for sure I wonder if that'll force his hand. He's a he's a horse who figures to be somewhat forwardly placed. But I wonder if the inside post forces them to send. Yeah. I would think they're gonna have to use them a little bit to get get out of there. But the way he rates out of the gate a few flies out of there. He could. He could make the leap pretty easy jaywalk, very aggressive this morning. She's galloping behind another horse and she wants to get by that one. That was actually Dunbar road who has now is not going to be getting into the oakfield. And maybe we'll see her a couple of weeks down the line, the black eyed Susan, she's a very nice Philly unfortunate she didn't draw into the race. But even if she drives in she's going to have a horrible post. Lady apple. Going. Are you gonna tell me your cashed on her as well? No, I I didn't get cash this week lady. Apple actually, the beneficiary of motion emotion and Brill really Duke it out for final half mile at Oaklawn last time out and lady apple came and got both of them at a square price. She's been training very nicely. And she superfit she can go around there at a good pace forever. And ever there's Lee or coming back around. Everybody's doing a little extra high call. He's. He's looking better than he did yesterday. He's feeling his oats today. I'm looking forward to seeing Bella FINA this morning. She arrived kind of late story was that she got in around four in the morning and basically right off the van onto the racetrack. And I don't think she looked her best when we saw her yesterday. She was a little cranky. She can be that way though, she has moments. So wasn't totally surprising, especially after a long trip who wants to go run after a long trip. Not your me. I wouldn't want to run right now. Master fencer went by Julian let brew and easy to spot with those earmuffs and Julian leper ru wearing a very stylish outfit. Once again war will looking good going bias after actually dropped down to the fence and stewing a little bit more than some of the other ones this morning. Yeah. Japanese trainers have a little bit different style times. They cut him loose last three eighths of a mile stretch out a little bit Dunbar road. Just look sensational. So we've seen a few less so far today than at this time yesterday. I can say that the crowd is bigger today behind us huge crowd this morning. I think a lot of people trying to take advantage of this. Good weather because it's supposed to start getting a little rain in the next couple of days. But who really knows? Steve Espy's with one range Taty walking back to the barn gray magician. He's he's all lathered up this morning. A little sweaty. He's one of the one of the few. I think in this field that would really be a surprise in one. He's a very nice horse. But he seems so far like he's just a cut below some of the other ones. Yeah. He's he's one of the ones that you have to wonder about. Master fencer going by. I looking good going to be interesting to see what are the crowds that master fencer would have been seen in Japan. Like compared to what he's going to see here. Obviously nothing compares to one hundred forty thousand people. But will they get like eighty or something over there? So. Probably pretty there's Tacitus and Bella FINA. The Bill FINA FINA scalping with her head up. She just looking around still easy. Both races super interesting this year for different reasons than what we've seen in recent years, for instance, last year, it seemed like it came to either like justify or you don't like justify. I don't think there's somebody in that field this year that you can say that about morning line favorite Omaha beach four to one and the three Baffert trainees all either five or six to one. You have some really nice horses sitting there at ten and fifteen to one morning line horses that have for instance, won the Wood Memorial one big one a big rate in the bluegrass coma. Got no respect morning, line wise. I think he may be twenty two one and he won the bluegrass by open lengths. Yeah. That's a little a little crazy. I mean, he he certainly has the numbers, and you know, he's shown a lot of class in his races. I don't know why he's being ignored. I guess because of his funny way of going people are concerned about that. I guess I think Mike Battaglia who's been doing this a long time to figures hate somebody's, you know, they can't all be eight to one right? Well this year this is a weird year because there's so many horses that have a chance in. It's kind of spread amongst the fans who they like. So it's gonna be a little different board than we're used to seeing or we'll going back. Going back rather quickly actually jogging right off lady apple maybe up with done with her work for the day. Do you think there's any big advantage or disadvantage to the afternoon jockey being on the horses for these just maintenance jogs? Oh, no the exercise, right? I would much rather have the exercise rive around in very jockey for for these Gallup's because you know, the reason most jockeys are successful horses run for them. Then you don't want him to do too much in the mornings leading up to the ratio wanted to just be calm, and relaxed in their usual routine. That's what you're looking for just to repeat of what they do every morning. Bobby Newman alongside Jude feld here on the backstretch Churchill Downs. For the dean Dorton training report. What's again, beautiful Wednesday morning in Louisville. It's about seventy degrees. I know from years past this is really not the norm there. There have been times where it is in the forties. The wind is blowing chance of rain. So loving the fact that if we wanted to we could be out here in shorts. Yeah. There's no question. It's beautiful today. There's been days here during derby week where I have been as cold as they were been in my life, the wind blows through here. And I it will ill thermometer say like thirty eight, but it's actually like twenty with the wind chill. It's just terrible. But nicer there's comb there's a coma. I I look at the comas a he gallops by got a nice big rear end. You gotta love that country house Galp and by to Bill my little high on country. How? House. He thinks he's got a got a shot. I don't know how he feels about the post position. But I don't think it's going to bother him too much. Here's securities here. I look he's just walking by little bit kidney sweat. Little bit surprising because he's coming from whether that's a little bit warmer. These south Florida horse. He works really slow times. And he he's very very strange individual yet. He's undefeated and. Don't really know what to make the John service trainees don't always work quickly. But they come to play when it's afternoon time boy that will quickly then there's fifty four fifty four. They usually doesn't even make the page but that fifty two anyway, fifty one or fifty two. Sometimes you have to question that though, you know, sometimes the horse will actually work three eighths, but they'll give him the you're the longer given the out or the double out time. And we'll I thought one of his works on film that the absolutely looked like he was going the time. They. Very interesting. Like this morning session is just about done most of the horses backtracking see anyone really coming back out and nobody coming back around. Like they'll have the regular crew out there in the move to commoner says I like to call. I heard something funny yesterday. Larry cole. Mrs already in town that we were joking around tomorrow's card here at Churchill Downs being the Thursday card has been renamed therby. And these two have sprinted three lanes. Clear of long range Taty, then comes laughing FOX Omaha beach improbable in second Omaha beach is now L lengthen front in probable gonna try him. One more time Omaha beach in problem to the outside on the beach. Just won't let him by yet. Improbable second Oma peaks. Yes, he eighty third Arkansas derby goes to Omaha beach over improbable. Fixed off on the call. They're the Arkansas derby Omaha beach defeating improbable on a wet race track which could be beneficial coming into this. Saturday's Kentucky Derby is the people that supposedly no say that we're going to have a little bit of wet weather. The rest of the week Bobby Newman and chewed felt here on the derby count on HR in broadcasting live from our red brand tent on the backside of Churchill Downs and happy to be joined this morning by Ed DeRosa from bloodstock research and twin spires. Ed, welcome. Thank you, always a pleasure. Be back here, especially with you, find gentlemen, we'll thanks for the compliment. Buttering you up for when you hear my pick. You're picking your pick. That's right. You're you're unconventional. Usually don't follow the crowd right now. Not always not always only when you think the crowd is. Right. It's something some they actually more often than not but still a numbers game. So we got to play the percentages. Ed is in Ohio. Boy, I actually met him when I was at this'll down back in the mid to late night. And then he was there I filled in one day at Beulah park, which of course, doesn't really exist anymore and Ed was there, and he's gone on to bigger and better things while still remaining in Ohio. Boy, absolutely. And I know you're a huge fan of the game. And you cover the sports so well saw yesterday at the post position draw. And specifically speaking to some of the, you know, the main players, including Mike Smith who's gonna ride Omaha beach, and that was a little bit of a controversy in itself. Yeah. He had he had the choice to make one definitely one of the bigger story lines and. Overall, really part of the Omaha beach storyline. Incredible. This horse took a few racist of break his maiden. But really once he did to stakes wins. Mike Smith sticks with them. He gets very ideal post position. And now it looks like rain, which we know he relishes a wet track. So so far everything that could go Maho Omaha beach is way has he's just trained since. I mean everybody that seems works like this works, but just galloping he looked so confident and so smooth. It's he's a pleasure to watch. Yeah. Another one of those things that just no knocks on them since he's he's come come to the fore with those steaks when Judah as a handicapper I am a little concerned with the speed ratings. But at the same time it's impossible to ignore is. I just said all the things that have gone his way. And then certainly you mix in one of the greatest horsemen of the American turf. And you know, this horse is going to be ready to run his best shot. We talk a lot about Mandela not winning the race. But I mean, honestly looking back to five excuse me four with action this day, administer Eric. You know, those two probably weren't up to what smarty Jones was at that time and Lionheart I thought action mistakes still ran terrific. So we know that Mandela knows how to get them right for this race. And we know he's coming in this year with a horseshoe on a curve, certainly fits a lot better than some of the others broad here. So as much as I love to go against Omaha beach, and I did on top. And he's not going to be a big key. He's definitely one of those favorites. Respect enough that if I'm right about my longshots. I can't get beat by a hobby each he's morning line favorite at four to one very tepid morning line from Mike Battaglia. Do you think you'll actually go off the post time favorite? I definitely think he'll be the post time favorite and actually thought he might actually be a little higher than four to one. I mean, I was thinking even a week or so ago, maybe six to one it seemed like the the favorites were on a group together. Roadster game winner improbable a little bit obviously mob each beat him. But Tacitus as well. But it definitely seems like Omaha beach is risen above that group. Definitely expect him to be the favorite. I was thinking nine to two or five to one. But after he drew so well and everyone talking about how he looks on the track. And of course, myth choosing him four to one seems logical. I'd be a little surprised if he dip below that though. It's too competitive raised. The money's going to be spread around enough seven to two seems like that would be the the floor. So I think four one ended up being the right line. Is this one of those years where? They're not gonna be any true longshots where everybody's going to get some action. Because so many people have varied opinions on the res it's going to be we have race like that. I'm trying to think which one it was a couple of years ago where like there there was nobody that was really. Yeah. Twenty two one. Everybody was you know, team team fifteen range, and you know, we had mine that bird no nine and Jack Mmono five so two and five years, really big prices. And it does seem like in twenty ten and twenty eleven especially right after that. I don't think there's a horse higher than forty to one. So I don't I think we'll definitely be higher than that this year. I could see gray magician flirting with the instilled regard area, seventy two one certainly I think at least fifty he was the only horse Mike made fifty on the line, which I thought was telling that Mike thought he took a stand. This is going to be the longest shot in the race. And I agree with them. But I I don't think we'll I think the days of ninety nine on the board or long gone. I think he actually made master fencer fifty fifty. Okay. And that one I hard to say what kind of action that horse is going to windows, if you know, they're they're taking the race in Japan. If that were co mingled I'd say he absolutely would not be fifty to one. They're just going to bet their horse. Unfortunately for us betters here in America. It's not co mingled so won't be. I think what Julian and just the horse could maybe just Gallup around. And and get a piece he is hard to see on the wind and shipping in from Japan, but exciting to to have him here, and he gets a local jockey. So not gonna completely throw him out under Neath as I am gray magician, even as the longest shop, but certainly on the win end tough to figure speaking with Ed DeRosa from bloodstock research in twin spires, Ed aside from Omaha beach who everyone seems happy with the heavy lifting is done. He drew post twelve everyone seems very happy with that forces on both the inside and outside of Haikal and code of honor. Don't have a lot of natural gait speed. So you would think if you like Omaha beach at least right off the bat, you got what you want? What are your other takes from the post position draw yesterday? Obviously war of will drawing the one which doesn't seem like anyone wants. But that and other things. Yeah. War of will definitely you know, the connections. Definitely didn't want one. But he's one of the horses where it definitely forces the strategy if Heikkala gotten number one they're dropping back anyway. So, you know, it's a horse war of will. They wanted to be forwardly placed they said as much and now marquess he's basically saying we probably need to end up being on the lead going into the first turn to if we're going to have the right position from the rail. So that changes the dynamics a little bit the horses to his outside will have some decisions to make a game winner in particular and post sixteen I've heard a lot of chatter that oh that's perfect. We know he doesn't mind running wide. We know he's a game horse. But there's gonna be a lot more horses inside of them than the Santa Anita Irby. So that I think it makes Joel Ario have to make some decisions about how close he p wants to be and balancing that decision of being wide versus pushing his horse early because there are some other horses. We're going to go, and I don't think anyone knows where maximum is actually going to be. Yeah. He won the Florida derby gate to wire you. Look at the brisk pace ratings, though, those pace ratings, he's mid pack here at best. Now, I'm not saying he's going to be mid pack. But he's definitely gonna have to be pushed faster than he was. And exactly how much faster will dictate the dynamics of the race. So there's still some wildcards after the post rather that we won't find out until Saturday night. You'll that's one of the benefits of the Brisbane PP's the pace ratings in the late pays ratings really helps clarify a lot of questions handicappers have. And I don't think they realize how valuable those past performances are. Yeah. Yeah. Speaking just from personal experience when I was younger. I mean, you just get the program, and you see a bunch of ones, and you think oh this horse likes the lead. And that's certainly possible. That's what they like. But the pace ratings really put into focus if they'll be able to get the lead how easy it will be how that affects their late pace. And yeah, he did have a very easy lead. In the Florida derby one of the biggest negative pace. I've ever seen in bursts net. But he also came home super fast. I've tweeted since the race. It was the fastest late pace rating in a points race ever that he got coming home. So almost like a turf dynamic where you know, all running came late. So I do respect him for that. A lot of times you get the slow pace. And then they get the average late pace rating. And that's good enough because they set such a slow pace, and everyone was awesome. But in this case, he at least came home and showed a number that would definitely be capable of winning this race. So I don't love him as the fifth or sixth choice. I do see him as being over bet. But certainly he's earned his way in and he's one of the ones everyone's eyes are going to be on to see what he does. Are there any horses coming into the derby that maybe you think are going to run better than what we've seen recently or maybe horses that are going to use mentioned maximum security think being over bet, but somebody who Omaha beach is not under the radar? Everyone knows about this horse. He's he's won three in a row coming into the race. But it seems a lot more wide open than that. And that's morning line favorites four to one I think one of the Todd's I expect I mean, even maybe not both. But certainly one of the two between spinoff who was runner up to my pick in the derby. So I feel like after respect him a little bit for being that close to horse. I think can win it. And then even cutting humor I understand the question to about distance and Todd Senden Sunland does that mean, but reality is he beat a horse. I thought could have made some noise and is going to the Preakness and other twist of fate. And that was the stakes record at Sunland so fast race of they you know, and he answered the question or mount in eighth and Steve Vic is found of saying if you want to know about the mount a quarter of the mount in eighth here is just as important because two of the four horses in the mix at the eighth pole hit the super this race isn't one in the final eighth. It's one on that turn. We're, you know, the brilliance kicks in and. Then you need the stamina for the final quarter. So I could definitely see him just being there and having to stick around. So I'd say the two Todd's kind of interests me is for guy. Everyone knows his two are coming in a little under the radar. So you mentioned spin off as being second to your in the raise that obviously means it's by my standard is who is a little bit of a wise guy horse by my standards and win win win are the ones that we've been hearing the most of our is as far as long shots that people who follow the game. Like, maybe for different reasons. Win win win. Who was just awesome in the first few races of his career? He ran okay at Tampa Bay downs in the derby kind of got a little bit lost. After a suspect start last time out. He caught what seemed to be a speed favoring track at Keeneland and was far back early. And I read RT's really just road the hair off up for the second spot behind the coma that day. He gets back to Julian Pimentel, but by my standards, he's really hitting his stride right now. And this is a horse who probably two months ago, not too many people thought of for triple crown races at all. And suddenly, he's a wise guy horse. Yeah. No, the the lease derby. I certainly didn't love him at twenty something to one Burnett completely dismissing him. But I thought there were more likely upsetters award will. And he I mean, he looked awesome splitting horses. Gabriel. Sayas had a decision to make inside the three sixteenth pole. And he made it in the horse responded. I mean any hesitation may have cost him the race behind spin off, which maybe we'll be getting even bigger price. Now. So who knows if that was a blessing in disguise or not? But just really professional just seem like the type of horse with that type of move in the stretch. I'm not worried about the mount quarter as you said with him being based here the last few weeks in the workout getting some buzz. He certainly has become. A wise guy horse. But I don't think it actually don't think it will affect the price. I think he'll be twenty two one. Like the morning light says maybe even twenty five. So that's the right price for me to prove the Louisiana derby was no fluke. Well, he certainly looks since ational in the morning. Everybody can see that. I mean, he he just trains like a free his trainers high on him. He's a horse that, you know, kind of has a cockiness to them attractive, and maybe that's why you're attracted. Yeah. Maybe, but he goes out there and does this work, and he's kind of flashy multicolored pale cool. There's a lot of things to like about him that are maybe more esoteric than just numbers related once and the owner has a lot of fun with them, which is great to see certainly was infectious in the winter circle down at fair grounds as was gave Sayas. So they're coming his writing great. Yeah. Absolutely. How you yet a opening night? I know he. Did. Well, and I'm not sure about yesterday. But yeah, he's he's in his own which is great. I mean, you just need to make all the right moves at the right time in the derby, very very little margin for error if any and like I said seeing what he did in Louisiana derby gives me some confidence that he can manage it. And we really appreciate you. Joining us this morning. So wrapping it up, we know you like, by my standards. How would you play the race? And I liked taxes. Well, also twenty two one. So my strategy is to get one of them in the number. And as I said, I'm I can't let a horse like Omaha beach beat me. And I think with the two long shots. I like it's not a big deal. If it comes home a hobby, by my standards or tax in there, and I like improbable as well in Tacitus, so like the three trucks and I'm betting it to mix it up with the two long shots at like. So hopefully, get one of the long shots one of the others. And then gamble on the rest, but it's all about tax, and by my standards for me. Thanks for joining us morning. Joined by Jude feld and a special guest with us right now. Walker Hancock president of Kleber and farm Kleber the breeder of cutting humor Walker. Welcome to the show. Thanks for having me on Gus. I'm sure this from from a breeding standpoint so much different than from a wagering and handicapping standpoint. What a thrill, and you know, what a boon. It must be when one of your own makes it into the gate for this race. Yeah. It's awesome. You know, we raise tax cutting humor at the form. And it's a real exciting. You know, all the guys and girls at the former excited, and we're all cheering for those two tax break from post to cutting humor from post ten longshots on the morning line. But both. Horses with tons of ability in good form coming into the racist. So when you're when you've got horses that are early on on the derby trail, so even from the end of their two year old campaign to early part of their three year old campaign. You know, is this something where you've got an idea every day of what's going on with these sources, even though the, you know, they're not at the farm. They're not with you right now. But you know, they're still your babies. Yeah. You kind of try and keep tabs on him. You know, every time. I'd see Jack wolf I'd ask how that horses doing or something like that. You know, Danny Goggin, obviously, we use we own tax there at one point in Lawson claiming Grayson Keeneland in October. But yeah, we kept tabs on them. And you know, it's it's always exciting. You know, the derby is the race to win and horseracing early for many people meeting -cluded, but you know, it's it's an exciting time for dentistry and get your on the backside, and you see all the people and feel the buzz. It's it's good stuff. What's that? Like raise. A horse. And then losing it in the claiming race in watching it do. Well, I mean, I can't imagine. It's a great feeling, but no, no, no regrets. I mean, look at the time. He he was claiming horse. So I'm you know being by Archie. It's you know, he's obviously matured and grown into who he has today. But you know, it's no regrets at all. You know, we have the family sisters, and we have tons of the second dam stuff like that. So we're still cheering for them. You know, it'd be good update for the pages the pedigree pages of the of those mayors. So we're, you know, we're we're so pulling for and that's another look from from breeders point of view of people often say to me, you know, why would you wanna put horse claiming race, and they don't quite understand the levels, and how keeps the game straight, and you know, it so it's hard to explain to him sometimes. But when you do have the factories, and and you want those horses to do well and go on, and if they're not gonna fit in your program, for whatever reason, that's another reason why you might put them in. In a claiming race. So, you know, there's a lot of different facets to this industry takes years and years to to learn them, all that's right. Yeah. I mean, we have twenty two year old. You can't keep them all and you try and place a horses where he think they can win. And you know, the time we thought that's the level. He was at and it was level at at the time. I mean, he barely won the race the fifty thousand claiming race. So, you know, he's obviously like I said he's matured and turned into a beast now. So we're we're glad for this. Do you? Does it come down to do? You have a preference. Are you rooting for both of them equally? This is a tough call. I mean, especially when the owner see those Kleber and hats the folks from Cleveland walking around. I would I would assume that the people with tax don't want you hanging around cutting humor too much and the people with cutting humor don't want you hovering around tax too, right? Yeah. No, look like I said, we're hearing for both of those workers and that he would be ideal, obviously. But you know, we saw I Sam right the form and fortunately taxes arch past with years ago. So it'd be great if cutting humor can win for. I am Ryan really move him up Stein. Ring so foot yesterday on the show. We we had guests who talk about some horse country tours here. And obviously it's in Lexington. Clayborn one one of the historical aims when it comes to bloodstock here. Not only just in Kentucky worldwide with with what they're runners have done who do you have on the farm right now, and what can people expect you know, if they come to viz? Kleber Artur full this week. I mean, this is a crazy week. We're trying to angle in. Maybe guys. No, it's it's exciting week. I got said, you know, the tours of full this all week and a lot of people try and go to tour, and then maybe come to wool on Friday or something Saturday, so get to see kind of where where it all begins and than seem here at the track and where where it ends. So remember forget my first time to Kleber was in nineteen seventy eight and I got the feud secretary at grass we had a little private tour with the track announcer from river downs. And that was the one of the highlights of my life. Really? I it was the first triple crown winner I've ever met, and you know, he came running up. It was just so beautiful to watch and reach down grab some grass, and he started eating it out of my hand. It was fantastic. So I urge people to go out and and visit your form because it's so historic. I mean, so many great horses have been raised there. In in your cemetery alone is worth the price of admission, right? That is something you don't hear very often. Anything particularly this week. I mean, the grave secretaries grave. He'll see tons of flowers and peppermint and gifts from momentos from all over the country, and it's really really gratifying to see. And know that he saw so many fans out there. But yeah, come to the farm and pet warfront get your picture taken with them. And you know, it when fans can connect with the horses like that. I really mean something to them definitely so warfronts their first samurais, they're blame we have blame mastery. Bright, Bryan, probably most remembered for being a villain in. As at least as far as the southern California racing was silent. Knight of the warriors. It was like the air or the balloon popped. And it was it was you could hear pin-drop over here. He he's had a great year is stealing. He has. Yeah. You know, he's got Marley's freedom in the human distaff the Saturday. So it'd be nice to pick up another great one grade one win for them. And you know, Joe well so unhappy over there to run happy. You know, Lee. He's a exciting. Freshman Cassirer forests. He's got first crop two year old or run any day now. So yeah, we're we're doing well. Cool. So speaking of the two year olds how do you decide how many you're gonna keep how many are you gonna put in the sales? You know, we try and keep around twenty or so, you know. Tis expensive keeping him in training. So we can keep everything we actually have a first two year old runner today in the third today. Now, she's been trained forwardly, and she looks like she'll be the fast type, but we'll see how you never know until you put him on the track. So. Yeah. Yeah. It's kind of a process you go through you contract and keep maybe some of the families that you want to breed out of. And you know, if you don't think they're going to maybe be talked quality runners may we try and sell them as as a two year old or yearling, and and move them on so fit someone else's program with the president does right decision hard to. Yeah. That's right. Sometimes good sometimes. Everybody. But you do you have the knowledge in use that knowledge to you know, hopefully further the organization which has been in your family for over a century. I so fortunate ration- to run the form. So I'm trying to trying to keep going speaking with Walker handcock, the president of Claiborne farm here on the backstretch at Churchill Downs alongside ju- feld. I'm Bobby Newman. Walker how how often are you guys constantly on the lookout for new stallion prospects? Or is there a limit that you that you wanted? You have plenty of space. If you see somebody that's on the horizon, you know, what is the process, you know, from. Finding them scope finding who you're interested in actually approaching the owners and maybe getting them to eventually retire to stand at Claiborne. Yeah. That's right. I mean, it's a ongoing process. It's a full twenty four seven three sixty five process. You know, at any point a nice coal can win a maiden race and Presley that maybe that paid you you really don't jumps out at you. And maybe it's a family you want to try and get into that you think can be value making family. So the the process never ends. And yeah, we try and bring in one or two year. You know, we're not one of the bigger forms at bringing a few. We try and focus on one one or two. And you know, sometimes we have sometimes we don't that's part of it. But yeah, it's a recruit to stallions to the farm and you sell them on the history and your success. So we think we've done a good job of that. Lately. How do you break up your day? Do you have do you have a set schedule that you follow? That's the beautiful thing about this. This industry is that it's constantly changing. You know this. Time of year. We're Burs busy fallen and breeding and racing starting to really heat up. Obviously now, and it's it's something new everyday really is. So, you know, learn the got the foles on the ground. Now, we'll have the yearling prep into summer and sells sales in the fall and beers Cup. And you know, September sale November sale. It's a it makes it fun. You know, it's something new every day try to spend as much time as you came in Florida during the winter. Give. Yeah. It's it's definitely different world down there, weather wise, and the it's nice to be able to wear shorts every day of the year living as speaking of somebody who lives in south Florida, you mentioned recruiting I'm guessing you're not sending John Calipari out to the to the houses of of the owners too. That's why we got burning. But but honestly, how does it go? But when you when you guys have talked it over and you've found one or two that. Have the page. Like, you said that you're looking for what is that phone call like, what is the recruiting? Like, you know, if if I'm the owner, what am I expect you when I hear from you from people at Kleber, what kind of processes, it does take like match, for example. He is probably one of our newer or or newest one after he broke his maiden at obviously turned some heads. And we contacted Mr. Dobson Gatewood bills. But saw gauging to said, hey, we're think this worst, you know, might be something special. Keep us in mind, if you guys are ever interested in doing something just let us know. So, you know, obviously at the time they weren't after main race but going down the line, and he knew he had us in mind. And whenever he was he was ready to decide on a stud farm e thankfully called us. And you know, it's processed kind of bit amount and kind of go with who you're comfortable with. So each Dalian's different some some guys like the keep it quiet, and they maybe approach you and say, I want my horse stand. Claire. Reform and others. Maybe like a see how much money they can get for their shop them around. You know? So it really just depends on the owners, and you know, it's all about your relationships with them. And you know, what it's an ongoing process. You know? So it's the thing about racing relationships are so important in a lot of times people don't realize that. But when you know people, and you, you know, you're nice to him and social with them, and they can go a long ways. And I think a lot of times people miss that. Absolutely. You'll wanna burn any bridges because you never know when those people might have a horse that you're you're you're after so, you know, it's it's very important to keep solid relationships and Bill each and every day Kleber and farm a couple of things that they're most known from as far as just a general public standpoint one one word names there. And of course, the silks are impossible not to not to. Find lure is the one that comes to mind for me as far as one of my favorites for clayborn did the people get a better deal, if they have a one word name or a potential potential still in you know. There's something to say about stallions aim. You can't you're not going to stand horses called like meat and potato. Exactly. Yeah. They gotta have a good name mastery. That's a great name. Yeah. Good. Yeah. Yeah. Run happy. You know? Those are all good asteroids sat mastery. Sounds like a horse that has to be has to have some sort of talent. That's right. Yeah. More front, right. Exactly. Yeah. There's not going to be a bad name more from that's for sure. Right there. One word name. It's not gonna be chubby or. Donut eater. I think he's even those of us. Thinking forces that that would fit me. So glad to have you. So obviously, you have a little bit of a rooting interest this year when it comes to the derby. Not year is like that. What does the time mean to you? And mean to the folks up there in Lexington, and you know, in your business, just in general, it's a spotlight everyone. It's it gives everyone to something to cheer for and look forward to and this year, thankfully, we have many rooting interests. So it's we're excited for Saturday. Walker so happy that you were here to join us this morning here in the backstretch at Churchill Downs. And we're back here. Live from Churchill Downs in the red brand tent on the backstretch of Churchill Downs. It is a beautiful Wednesday morning here derby week. I wish every day. Was this kind of day, weather wise. It was seventy degrees. When we got here at seven AM. Yeah. It's been beautiful last two days just been great. We should continue. But it's a little dicey. It's a little dicey. But we're enjoying it. While we can't beautiful view of the just gigantic both the facility on the other side of the track here Churchill and happy to be joined for this. Next segment by Gary falter, and Julie clear from owner view, folks. Welcome morning good to be here or so happy to have you here. Now, owner view is something that it's a website. You can go to owner view dot com. And really it has everything you'd want. If you wanna learn about race or ownership. Everything from pricing to responsibility to just the ins and out. Tell us a little bit about owner view. Well, owner view we'd watch that in two thousand twelve and it was a result of the McKinsey study that the jockey club did back in two thousand eleven where we asked them to interview horsemen and horse players around the world around the country and give some recommendations on how we can build some sustainable growth in the industry, and they came back with nine recommendations and one of those recommendations was to build some new tools and resources to encourage ownership. Lot owners told him during their interviews. It was very difficult when they came into the industry just to find information about ownership. So we built the website owner view dot com. And and really it's just an it's an aggregate or of a lot of information from a lot of different resources. We have statistics for every active trainer in the country. We have racing syndicates listed. We have advisers. I mean, there's there's a lot of menu items and the great thing about the website is everything's free then cost you to go to the website and look up statistics or a profile on owner or racing syndicate. If you wanna get licensed interstate we have every state listed with links to their owner license forms into their racing commission. So the websites been around since two thousand twelve and it's been great. And it's a great resource owners new an existing and then in two thousand fourteen we launched the first ever national thoroughbred owner conference, which we held at Keeneland race course. And and now we're going into your six on the owner conference dishes owner conference at Santa Anita. It's the week of the Breeders Cup the conferences, Tuesday, October twenty ninth Wednesday October thirtieth, of course, the Breeders Cup Friday and Saturday of that weekend. And you have packages online that people can check out as far as pricing and what they could see the. Panels are phenomenal. There there listed. There's going to be a lot of folks on these panels in those two days that the average racing fan knows. And it could be television personalities that could be famous owners famous trainers. Jockeys X writers, tell us a little bit about, you know, these conferences in the past what to expect? If somebody's interested in attending. Well, I think you bring up a good point. We always try to make sure that whether it's your first year or your sixth year, we've had folks who've come year after year and every year a little bit different because of the personalities that we can bring through onto panels. So this year, we do start the conference panels on Tuesday. But also folks are invited RT's invited to come to the draw on Monday night. So it really does fishery start on Monday. But that being said when you can bring together these industry experts, and even people who are just like you and me just like folks, you're getting into the business. There's something for them as well. You know, a lot of times people will say gosh, how could I compare to this particular type of owner who's won the derby? Who's won the readers Cup? That's that's not me while we also have folks were longshots who are participating to and say gosh, I started off with nothing. And now here I am. And that relate ability is very important for the conference. So we not only rely on those panels, which are great, and you can see the schedule and who sue on our website. But also the networking that's a huge part of this conference for us because you get to talk to these folks you get to intermingle with him. You get to go have drinks with them have lunch with them and that networking and socialization is a huge part while conferences, so popular in its backwards. Six interational here every year from our guest always give us a feedback about the conference and one thing here year after year is the accessibility that our guest have with various speakers and panelists and other owners that are part of the conference and that networking we learned from the very first conference is almost as important as the nine panels that will hold with all the different speakers in the topic. So. We try to have some really cool social events where all of our guests can meet one another and meet the panelists and speakers and this year, it'd be no different. Well, you know, as well as I do that people in racing love to talk about racing. Just you get a bunch of owners, and I don't care if they're like the the highest top of the skill group or or just somebody that owns a piece of claiming horse. They wanted to tell you about their horse. They want to tell you about their experiences. And and that's one of the great things about our game. Is that you you meet all these people from different walks of life. I mean, there's only one place that I know of where you can be an immigrant from Mexico and take care of a horse that belongs to the ruler of Dubai. You know, how how weird is all of that. It's amazing. You know, we did a little interview with with cure McLaughlin, regime Marashi, and and they have a horse for shake calm down. So here's these three guys from three different countries that are. Dining to run high-cal in the Kentucky Derby, and that's a very unique situation. Yes, it is last year. We had owners from thirty eight different states and Canada come to the conference. And that's pretty typical wherever we have it. Whether last year was here Churchill this year Santa Anita even though it's on the west coast. We have registrations from people from Connecticut come into the conference so wide variety of owners as you at all different levels. Even if the very highest level, and they'll just mingle and network with anyone that there is there, and as you said, everybody likes to talk about their horse, and you you might meet somebody that can mentor you there's nothing like being able to pick up the phone and in call somebody and say, hey, you know, I interested in this trainer that trainer. And this bloodstock agent approach me. What should I do all of those things that are so important when you get in the business that you you don't have the answer to and you may not know somebody? But if you go to your conference, and you need some of these people, you can give them a bang on the bells and find out what the true Hollywood story is sure. Yeah. We're gonna start off Tuesday with pan old the business of racehorse ownership. That's a lot of the nuts bolts of ownership cover things like accounting, legal and business plans and selecting a trainer and we've done that sort of topic several times, and it's all rated very high because the existing owners and the new owners, and the perspective owners all tell us, you know, I really need to hear that. And learn from that. So we have nine panels this year, we just added a new one a couple of weeks ago, the state of the industry, which we're going to cover a lot of the different topics that are forefront in the industry right now that you know, such a fluid topic and a lot of things happening. We felt it was important to be able to cover those topics in November as this year progresses in solutions are put in place, and and groups come together. So that'll be a very interesting panel that will take place on Tuesday afternoon showing here on the countdown by Gary falter, Julie clear from owner view, you can check out all. All of this information on owner view dot com. Way just a minute. We just saw game winner. Go by for the second time behind us. Just like yesterday. Bob Baffert deciding to hold game winner back out of the normal dedicated derby and oaks training time to after the next break. And he looks as good as you can look on the racetrack. I know both both of you guys are racing fans. It's well exciting. When you get to see the two year old champ jogging behind you. Who knows he's he's could as anyone going into this year's derby. He's very, of course, getting back to owner view. I'm on the website right now, by the way, one of the more exciting things about the the the conference. It's coming up. Is you get tickets to the Breeders Cup as well. It's not only Tuesday Wednesday in you know, have an ice trip back to the airport. You're there all week. You get to see the best racing. There is in the world. The pricing is on there. What impresses me most by looking at the website and looking at the panels is that there's something for everyone. It's not something where perspective owner is gonna get intimidated said, you know, where there's just a lot of turns. Or a lot of CPA's are going to be speaking with them and giving them the bad news of it's gonna cost you this. And you're going to have to do this. There's some very famous and very recognizable people in down to earth people that you can speak with Millie balls moderating. One of the panels were Chris McCarron can't disarm Donna brothers. Mike. Smith are going to be on. You have a pedigree panel the Keeton braid. Ours is going to be moderating. Simon Bray moderating trainers panel with Doug O'Neill. Gary Mandela might McCarthy in owners panel with Bob current dean res Kosta ruinous Madeline are Bach. Maggie moss. Very accessible people in the industry. People who love what this industry is about. And people who will tell you everything you could possibly want to know about possibly becoming an owner. Exactly. And and they're so willing to share which you bring up a really great point. Would you love something you want to tell everybody about it as you discussed at the same time? They're willing to give the good the bad and the ugly of two, and that's part of it. I think people want real. Story and they want to know from someone else's experience. Gosh, don't go down that path try this or this is what worked for us. So that's huge. And again that that ability to at a dinner at lunch at a cocktail party to get a little bit closer to folks and ask those questions and all of our panelists and moderators, and we've got the best moderators out there because you see him on television on radio all the time, and including Mike finna, he's he's a part of our show. And he always has been he's been so gracious to be a part of it. But those folks stick around too because there are a lot of people that get star struck by these guys to they just want to know. Hey, what's it like to Chris McCarron? What was it like to you know, to read for so long, and what are your best stories, and Chris is ideal in that there's a story for everything? And of course, then you have Tom Durkin who is our emcee every year. And he he really knows how to turn out a great show for us. So all good. Basseterre jockey panel. That's really loaded. I was out at Santa Anita this last weekend. And the can't disarma- was over there Clockers corner. It's cold up Chris McCarron. I said, hey, Chris, I need one more jockey on the jockey, Dan. What do you think about cat? He said. Oh, yeah. Cats got great stories and you'll never shut him up. I wonder what a get and I said, hey, would you like to be on our panel? And he was very gracious. Absolutely. So that filled out our jockey panel. And it's one of the most popular panels after year. That's what we hear about. You know, we allied with the Breeders Cup about four years ago getting back to the Breeders Cup and every year our guest gotten reserved grandstand seating for the Breeders Cup on Friday and Saturday. So what we found is our guest come in on Sunday or Monday, and they don't leave to after the classic on Saturday. So there with us all week. Okay. So aside from the schedule for the conference coming up later this year what else can folks find on owner, viewed dot com. Well, you can again go to the website and just research trainers and racing syndicates and partnerships. I mean, we have just a why I think we have about twenty menu items listed there. So, you know, my suggestion is just go to the website and navigate around. We have stories about ownership. We have all the different publications that are in the industry listed. So that if you're in a certain state, and you wanna know what public Asians are available in that area. We've got him listed stallion farms. I mean, literally there is a lot there that people can learn and talking owners have been in business twenty thirty years or just thinking about jumping into ownership. So just a wide variety of information the conference, you know, we're working hard to just pull everything together. We added a new bonus this year, which is kind of interesting every year, we try to bring in new perspective owners to the conference because we know that existing owners is are the best resource to bring in. In new and prospective owners. So the added bonus this year is we have silks maker one of our sponsors, and we'll have an exhibit. So anyone that brings a perspective owner to the conference for the first time both the owner and the prospective owners will qualify for a new set of racing silks? Wow. So that's a fun bonus. That were offering this year, that's cool or note speaker, we we've had some great keynote speakers Gary Player, Jim Rome. I mean, if you have forty five minutes, go to YouTube and listen to Jim rooms keynote from Gulfstream Park talking about shared belief and misdirection, and I mean, he actually had people in the audience in tears, and then laughing and jumping up and down anything. He told me said, I think I can do twenty minutes. Forty five minutes later. He was still there telling the story, which is means everybody was intrigued by as we're waste. So this old check is our keynote. So we're we're lining up. This year's keynote. And it'll be a notable person that we bring in every year just to add to the conference, Jim. Rome is a phenomenal example because for years on radio he kind of pooh-poohed horse racing. He was completely against it. He could not that he was against it. He couldn't see why anyone would be interested in this. He got into the ownership on on being a part owner on horses. And now he's as big of an advocate for racing. He he's seen the light. He sees what a joy it is. Obviously he's had a lot of success in the game. He's had a little bit of heartbreak in the game as well. But he loves it. He talks about it on his show. And it's just one of those things you don't know until you try, and you know, once she. You get that horse horse with your colors is in the program in your name is are you see yours in the paddock yet be great. If they crossed the wire first, but it's just a completely different feeling. Yeah. Just the participation alone is is a fun thing. You don't have to win to have a good time. And and I think that's another beautiful thing about our sport. Is that you know, the results everybody wants to win. But I mean, one of the most memorable races that that I have in my life, the horse Rian, third Keelan and seventy one and kind of took a shot with the just ram fantastic grades. Brian Hernandez was an apprentice back in those days. It's great to you know, follow Bryant's career ever since. And that that was a day. All never forget. So, you know, you don't you don't have to win to create a memory. That's for sure. Once again, Gary falter, and Julie clear from owner view, you can read about everything that they've been speaking about in a whole lot more on their website owner view dot com. Of course, the conference is coming up later this year, October twenty eight through thirtieth at Santa Anita park the week of the Breeders Cup pricing and description of everything going on with the conference right on their website once again owner viewed dot com. He's a of course, by my standards. The winner getting up the final sixteenth his first try in stakes company, and he gets up at odds of twenty two to one for the upset win. Gabriel size aboard the Bret Calhoun, trainy speaking of John Dooley. He actually was the announcer at fissile down back in the mid nineties, and he left I think of actually to Lone Star park, and maybe do the winter meets in New York. And I ended up getting the job at this'll down and tying it back to Churchill Downs. I didn't even know where this'll down was back. Then I was calling races in Albuquerque and dealing poker. And the. Degeneracy runs deep, by the way. And I got a call from Luke cry boss who was the announcer Churchill Downs. And he says, I think they're looking for an announcer. This'll down John Dooley is leaving. I said, I don't even know where the heck this'll down is. And of course, there's really basically no internet back then. So I pulled out my rand McNally. Atlas that I had in my car and trying to figure out how you would even get from Albuquerque to Cleveland. Long dry. It was thankfully, I didn't get the job. And I I loved my three years at this down. It was a it was a fun place to be Johnny Dooley, obviously has gone on to be the announcer for many many years at both Louis at both fairgrounds and at Arlington park and a great call as always there in Louisiana derby, by my standards, really one of the the buzz horses, and I don't think anyone's look any better than he has on the track this week particularly sharp. He's done everything asked them handled himself with just total grace, and you know, his trainers very high on him as well. Which is always nice when the when the trainers positive everything runs better. So he's a horse to really look at and consider for all of your exotic wagers, and it's going to be a nice price of probably what would you say? Fifteen to one. So I'm like I can't figure out who they're going to bet in this race. There's so many horses that you can like in this field. And I think Mike Battaglia got it right with the horses that he laid low in the field, and it's just one of those fields where you say gosh, you have horses like the Louisiana derby winner like the bluegrass winter like the Wood Memorial winner. Like, the Florida derby winner, none of them are single digits on the morning line. Somebody's going to be a long shot. And seriously, the whole field isn't going to be eight to one and nine two one. Right. So they're going to be some overlooked ones. It seems like the coma is one of the ones that overlooked by a lot of people, and he really hasn't done anything wrong. No. He's numbers are excellent is record is fantastic. Eeking owner view. I'd like to own him. I'd be very happy with the comb. I wouldn't care that he's twenty two one on the morning line. Little bit of a scheduling reminder joint juden Anthony's stabile this afternoon from three to six eastern time on express bet radio here. Live racing from Churchill Downs and Tampa Bay downs on Sirius to nineteen x to a one and streaming live at horse racing radio dot net. And then stay tuned for a special Kentucky Derby edition of trainer talk. Presented by phase at Tipton tonight at six o'clock eastern time. Tonight's guest hall of fame trainer. Bob baffert. And when Bob gets to talk and he's hard to stop. You. Don't wanna stop them. You just want keep keep them going. Sometimes the interviews with Bob can go on and on. But it's it's never dull moment. He's a fantastic interview comes up with some great sound bites. We we love it went Bob wants to join in. And he does quite often. He sounds from from the little bit. I've heard from him leading up to this year's derby more calm, not that he was ever really tense. But he he knows what he's got. He's got a he's got a full full cartridge in the holster. If you want to say the three runners he have roadster game winner improbable. All very very talented. All look like they're coming in very sharply. They've all looked good on the track here at Churchill leading up to it. And it seems with the exception of fact that his main man, Mike Smith decided to go to Omaha beach. He seems like he's got a lot of major cards to play. Yeah. He does. And in these he's very confident. And I think the fact that he's done this many times before. Gives him that that inner peace that that you see this week where he's not second guessing himself as to should I do this. I do that. How far should I work? What what should I do? I mean, he's just shooting from the hip and taking each horse as they come in and doing what he feels is the right thing to do for each horses. They lead into the Ray. So it's not like they're on a pattern or or they're being cookie cutter trained each horses getting individual training for their needs to go Milena quarter on the other day in may now we spoke with Ed DeRosa earlier in the show, and he gave us a lot of handicapping perspective for this year's Kentucky Derby, he was there for the post position draw got to speak to a lot of the major players. My biggest take from the draw yesterday is that none of the quote, unquote, big names really got post positions that they didn't didn't really want number one ended up being. War of will. He's obviously very talented horse. He wasn't one of the Baffert three. He isn't Omaha beach. He wasn't one of the ones coming off resounding wins in their last prep race, number two tax another one who's very impressive coming off second place finish in the Wood Memorial. What was your what are your thoughts from yesterday's post draw? And you know, positives and negatives. Well, you know, we've talked about war of will the last few days. How keen he's been on the track? And I asked Moore Cassie about that. And he agreed with me that he he has been keen, and I think him drawing the rail kind of tips as mid as to what they've gotta do. They gotta get out. Right. I mean, he's he's basically a horse that they'll likes to be forwardly placed, and they're they're going to they're going to have to get him out of the gate, which I think he's gonna be agreeable to. But I think that may not be the best situation for him to win the race to be close up and maybe fighting on on. The pace. So I think it affects him probably the most adversely and not because it's the one necessarily because there's other horses in the race that it wouldn't necessarily bother. I think you mentioned high-cal earlier, and you know, there's other horses that come from off the pace the one wouldn't be that big of a deal. But I think for him in the way that he's training, and the fact that he's had six weeks off it kinda dictates. They're going to have to break out of the gate and find a spot to run and he may end up going too fast. I don't think the two holes gonna hurt tax. I think he's going to have to try to get out too. So actually if you look at the one two and three by my standards in the three hole, and and even gray magician who really probably doesn't have a tremendous shot at the race. But those horses they all have a little bit of speed. So there's gonna be a kind of a bit of pace fight early on. And and then, you know, comas. Only one off with improbable between him and grey magician. So. I think gray magicians gonna go. I don't I don't he has much choice in there because I just don't think he can out finish some of the other ones in this race. And I mean he was fast enough. I'll be on a sloppy track at Santa Anita SOS probably gonna sealed track. He was on the pace going one await and four for six furlongs split. He was ended up. He was probably a few links back of that. I don't think a lot of the horses in this year's edition of the derby had the same running style where they looked like they wanna be not deep closers, but Stocker mid pack type closers, and I don't know if that opens it up to somebody getting out there by themselves. I mean could war of will end up on the lead by himself from the rail? I mean, it's possible, you know, they could fly out of there. And I think he's gonna fly out of there. I mean the way he looks in the morning, he just he's screaming to run and. I think that could be a negative, but it could also be positive, and I don't mean to be wishy washy here. But I I really think that. You know, it's gonna work against him having to run so fast early because any chance he had of making the lead making an easy lead. Let's say is going to be taken away from the fact that he's going to have to be used to get a position because you're literally breaking into the turn into the fence on the turn. You know, you kinda have to megotiating that when when you're coming out of the one hall, so. It's a tough situation actually have one of the oaks Vilis. Chocolate kisses who I think was the last Oakville yesterday that we saw in the track she's out now which is pretty late because it's not right after a break. And but the really aren't a whole lot of other horses on the track. So it may be less busy now than during that dedicated time from seven thirty to seven forty five. Yeah. I think definitely. So the dedicated time is is very very nice though. It's nice to have a situation where you're gonna have a tremendous amount of horses on the track. Is you see what happens when when we finish up the the recording of the dedicated training time, the track gets inundated with horses all of a sudden. And there's like two hundred horses out there at least at a time. So it's it's nice to have the oaks derby horses have have a little bit of time to themselves and and be. To do. Maybe a little bit easier training backup to the paddock. Maybe walk through. The paddock do do some things a little bit differently. And and still get your training. I walk through the paddock yesterday. I was sweating myself. Just a little bit. That might have to do with my my girth. Not blow out before we should by the way. This. Here's going to this is going to be a plug. That really didn't need to happen. So there were a lot of people here this morning. The were a lot of people yesterday seemed like almost twice as much today for that derby and oaks dedicated session, it's kind of filtered out now. And there were so many people that there's not even bottles of water left to get from the concession stand. Here. My two choices were cherry coke and mellow yellow. So I hadn't had mellow yellow probably in about twenty five years. This is a phenomenal mellow. Yeah. This is better than Cuban coffee hundred ninety calories of just pure. Remember jolt cola that this is what I feel like I'm just woke woke up from a fresh nap after just a few sips of the mellow yellow so happy with the best decision. I made so far. He's betting on all the horses with yellow silks. Sometimes it's the little things in life that make you happy. Once again, Jude feld here in Bobby Newman on the backstretch at Churchill Downs for the countdown show beautiful Wednesday here in Louisville Kentucky that the stakes races actually start today as we have the Kentucky juvenile formerly the W H E S T TV stakes used to be in the derby undercard. And my only guess is that maybe they didn't want the two year olds to be subjected to over one hundred thousand people, so they they moved it earlier in the week, and what a shock Wesley ward is going to have a major say in the two year old steak today. Yeah. It's just a a real surprise that Wesley might have a two year old. In a good one. Yeah. He's got a filly named naive Beth, and I think he's got to actually in there. And then there's also a two year old maiden race on the so who knows maybe stars of future in horses that will see next year during derby week and oaks week on tap today. I haven't really talked about the oaks much yet today. I don't think anything has changed going into it. Same as what we saw yesterday. Biggest thing we saw I think yesterday was that the probable, favorite, Bella FINA. Maybe didn't look her sharpest on the racetrack. And she kinda followed that up the same way this morning. We chalked it up yesterday to the fact that she just got off the plane and was a little cranky. But she still was a little cranky this morning. I think that's just our general nature. She's not she's not one of those happy and delighted to be here type Phillies. It's interesting really the only poor race. She's run in her career was here at Churchill in the Breeder's Cup juvenile fillies last year. I don't know if it was really a poor race. She finished fourth. That's certainly not a bad effort. But she was beaten a little over nine lengths by Jay walk and restless rider Phillies. She's going to have to face again on Friday. So I I don't know if it had to do with the shipping. I don't know if it's Churchill Downs. I, but so far it seems like she's run a lot better on the west coast. And she has when she's traveled. Yes. Well, that's true. You know, who looks insatiable this morning. I thought was jaywalk. It's the best. I've seen her train all week. With this morning. And and she just was really oversell and feeling good. I think he's coming up to this race in excellent shape. And she might surprise a few people because she's run a couple of races that are not in her usual successful pattern. So if people are jumping ship, she might be a better price than she deserved. Okay. You're listening to the derby countdown on the horse racing radio network, presented by Hillen, Dale farm. Meanwhile, upfront they lift maximum security alone. Maximum security cuts the corner and opens up maximum security. Let's quarter of a mile to go. He's six on top second boaty express. He's running a huge race time of the inciting code of honor hidden, scroll at one pace bourbon more on the outside, but maximum security proved he's the real deal with a gate to wonder wait in the Florida derby Bodey express with second code of honor finish third then bourbon Warren current in one forty eight and four. Pita L at Gulfstream Park. Giving us the stretch call this year's Florida, derby maximum security little bit upset winner that day and really kind of the question Mark horse coming into the into the derby this year, this is a horse who if we had the foresight could have purchased in claimed him out of race for sixteen thousand dollars a few months ago. Now, he's worth little bit more than that. Yeah. It's slightly. He's done very well from self for wins in a row. And and we'll see what happens on Saturday. There's mixed reviews on him. So people absolutely love them. Some people think he has no chance of very polarizing, I think I I'm confused because I'm not really sure that he beat the toughest Florida derby field that we've seen I'm saying that very kindly horse. It was second to him was a maiden who seventy two one the horses who were the favorites in the race really didn't show up that well urban ward I thought was going to run a big race. He really didn't. He's a closer didn't close that day hidden, scroll just didn't fire what we saw anywhere close to what we saw in his astounding maiden win code honor. Ran decent racy was third, but he was seven lengths back. He really was not a threat as far as winning the race. So I don't know if it's a factor of maximum security is just that good. Or he just didn't beat that much. I'm kind of leaning to the to the ladder. You know? I I really find that that pace was so slow that if those horses behind him were really that good. They would have overcome that slow pace at some point. But they just never did. And people will point to the fact that that the winter Rian very fast last quarter. But when you're walking early you're supposed to be able to finish, right? Maximum security works like a snail, by the way, we saw him for the first time live here at Churchill this morning. He had a little bit of kidney sweat. He was just kinda. I dunno just easing his way around. I think he just arrived yesterday. This is a horse that you mentioned. I mean, his workouts are half miles and fifty three or fifty four three furlongs and forty two almost probably about the limit. As far as how slow an actual an official. Workout can be but in the race. He's fast. I think he's an Arabian. We'll look for Medella where park in Sam Houston. Mito's down the line interesting note, by the way of maximum security and something that I don't think a lot of people thought of to row some mentioned it looking at the bloodstock research figures, he got the lead by himself last time out it wasn't. So just that he wasn't going that fast on the lead. But apparently he finished extremely fast. It wasn't. He got out by himself and just kind of lull them to sleep in. That was it. He was able to amble home in front of him. He was able to fire home in front of them. I'm wondering is he going to be sent to the lead? You know, you mentioned war of will maybe his hand being forced with that. Inside post. I think maximum security is the horse that everyone thinks is going to be on the lead. It's just probably not going forty eight and four and one twelve and four. No, I don't think so the the Kentucky Derby usually has a much faster pace, and there's some fast horses in this year's addition. I mean, there's there's plenty of speed to set it up and. So we'll see what happens. But I certainly don't think he's gonna get off to slow easy for actions. He's not running a half and fifty four still being around at the finish his horses undefeated. He's never been closer than three and a half lengths to the second place finisher and any one of his races. He's ten to one on the morning line. And I think he's going to be higher than that. At post time to definitely think that's a given that he's going to go up on. Bobby Newman alongside shoot felt here. From the backstretch at Churchill Downs on really what's the calm before the impending storm more ways than one right as we have. Weather weather right now, and those that supposedly no say this is the last day of the perfect weather, and it's. Supposed to get progressively worse as we get closer to day. Well, it's the hang too much crepe whether men here in Kentucky, you're not always right matter of fact, they're probably wrong more than there. Right. So it could be it could be nice if it could be absolutely once or anywhere in between. So we'll hope for nice, let's hope for nice. Let's take a look real quick at once again at the oaks, which is going to be run this Friday approximate post time for the Kentucky oaks is six twelve eastern time going to have a full field of very talented three year old Phillies going mile in eight on the main track as of now, the two also eligible Dunbar road and point of honor. Don't look like they're going to get into the race. I know that you're a little bit. I don't know of saddened is the right is the right word. But you you were looking forward to hopefully seeing Dunbar road in here in even though she's very lightly raced. She. She's looked as good as any Philly out there in the mornings, and she looks like she has a world talent. Hopefully, we'll get to see her in a few weeks and in at Pimlico where she trained sensationally this morning. She just looked as good as a horse. Could look. She is lightly raised impressive breaking her maiden by eight and three quarters. First time out going to one turn mile Gulfstream came back in and got beat half length and the goal street park oaks getting in ninety one percents beat figure so she's just very beautiful Philly three hundred fifty thousand dollars Keeneland yearling from the powerful stable of Peter Brandt who continues to just have top Philly after top filly. So I yes, I am a little sad. She didn't get in. Because I thought she deserved a shot at it. But there's plenty of other competition in there, a Philly that's been catching my I all week long is lady apple she comes out on the track. She she has a little bit of a high head carriage when she gallops, but she's one. Her last three starts including the fantasy stakes at Oaklawn park. She looks fantastically fit. She's by kirwin, which is always a good thing. In her damn Mariappan was a horse that I was associated with a little bit when Iran five five farm, and she's been outstanding broodmare choose very good racehorse herself. So there's lots of things to like about lady apple and Steve Espy's is one of those. So I think she's got a big chance, and she really has been catching this week. It seems like every time I see her on the track. She looks good. So twenty two one on the morning line. And she's coming in off three straight wins. The the only three wins in career broker maiden going six alongs on a sloppy track at Oaklawn park, which could be beneficial because we could get rained by Friday as well. Very impressive allowance win in her first try around two turns into next start. And then. A little bit of a surprise in the grade three fantasy when she was able to win it almost ten to one. She beat two favorites that day motion emotion and Brill motion motion. She'll have to beat again if she wants to win the oaks this Friday Brill is not in the field. That was a race where on paper and bedding public thought. It was pretty much between motion emotion and Brill. One of those two favorites would be the ones who would win and they kind of locked horns halfway up the backstretch. And we're really Duke it out most of the way around and while motion emotion was able to win the battle of the two. She was not able to win. The war is lady apple who was the fresh Philly on the scene came through an opening under Ricardo Santana and got up at a good price. And she's going to be overlooked again. Yeah. Well, you know, it's really interesting to that. When she when she stretched out, she just really seemed to move into a different stratosphere as a racehorse. So probably the two turns. Is is what she needs. She's gonna pre she ate the mile Nate. Which some of these Phillies are not and yeah, she's got a big chance. Twenty one is huge number on her street band has been running. Well, so if he is writing the Kentucky oaks, should that's one for the one for the ladies she really wants to win this race. She thinks she can win it. This is a daughter of stand that was bred by trainer. Larry Jones and his wife and and Ray Francis. One of the owners. She's she's been really good. I mean, she's she's look good winning. She maybe hasn't beaten the toughest fillies, although we talked about Leo earlier today and help partially to her, but you know, Streep and she's got a she's got a little shot at a to Bella FINA. You know, you you kind of have to respect her. She's she's won everything. But she's been really facing very short fields where she had the dominating speed. So her racist might be a little bit overblown, and it's always good to look for for Philly. Maybe that that is an up and comer as to one that's had an easy. Go of it. Like, Bella FINA has out for a spin. We had Dallas Stuart on on Tuesday morning was Tuesday where it was at Saturday Saturday Saturday morning and Dallas is very high on her. She's won her last two starts, and including the Ashland big upset fifty to one and. She's coming up to the race. Nice. She's she's look good training in the morning and Dallas, you know, gets that Clinton is I when when he likes one, and he certainly had it Saturday morning. So you have to respect her a little bit that most consistent Philly in the field apart from probably della FINA is restless writer, she said seven career starts. She's never been worse than second. Three wins four second place finishes in her career. She's run very well here at Churchill Downs. In fact, to Winston seconds from four career starts, she's one well on a sloppy track. She can show a little bit of speech. She can pass other runners. She's got the fourteen whole do you? Thank that's any sort of advantage or disadvantage for Mylan. Eight. I would say it's probably more of a disadvantage than vantage. But she has tactical speed. She's coming up to the race in good shape. Kenny mcpeek or trainer told us a long time ago, but way back in January that he was going to give her one prep, and it was gonna be in the Ashland, and he followed that to to tea, and you know, she she's coming into the race in great shape. That was a good effort. In the Ashland. She's trained well since and Brian Hernandez is just really had a fantastic winter. It was his first winter down at Gulfstream. And he's writing great. He had a good Keeneland meat as well. So I think there's a lot of things to like about restless writer, and I don't think she can be dismissed at all I think she's maybe the the Philly to beat in here. It's very rare that a plan that far in advance goes perfectly to script. But that looks like was what's happened so far with restless rider you mentioned trainer. Kenny mcpeek way back several months ago mentioning that you know, they had a plan. They were going to, you know, give her some time off they were going to run in the Ashland. Get ready for the oaks, she came back in the Ashland. She ran like affiliate that although she ran well, maybe wasn't at her best. She looked like she had every chance that win that day. She got out finished out. Out for a spin. Of course, it was a huge long shot at fifty to one for Dallas Stuart that afternoon over at Keeneland. Would you expect restless rider to really jump forward? Improve second start off the break. Yeah. I would you know, the the ashlin was a very fast race early. She was up close to the pace. And I think she just lost a little punch at the think, you know, I don't want to say she needed to knock the rust off because she winning races sensually. But she just didn't have that kick it in kind of punch and I think now without race under her girth. She's going to be a lot tighter for this one in in. She might be able to seal the deal six to one on the morning line for restless writer, Brian Hernandez. I don't think she'll be much lower than that. Because I think that Bella FINA, despite the fact that she's run her only bad ratio Churchill is going to be over bet and her best race may simply be better than these other Phillies. I don't know. But this is definitely a better field than what she's been. Seeing of late and southern California and a much bigger field than what he's been saying. Yeah. In the mile mate is a little scary for I don't know. How far she wants to go. It doesn't seem to me like she wants to go mile. Okay. We're gonna take our final break. You're listening to the derby countdown on H R N your home for the Kentucky oaks, Kentucky Derby and triple crown army mule, unbeaten and unchallenged a great one winner of his first three starts by a combined twenty two links, including brilliant, six and a half length victory in the great one Carter handicap while earning one fourteen Beyer speed figure the highest buyer up to a mile in two thousand eighteen finishing fast. What a nice performance very easy victory in the Senate oaks by four and a half whitening length, Florida. Lamar was second chasing yesterday third. Then slew good to be true. Elefsina was one to five in the Santa Anita oaks. And she ran like it just last month. Frankly, Ramadi on the call their face to field a total field of four that day. She's in a field of fourteen this Friday and the Kentucky oaks, and obviously shipping east from her base in southern California. So a a little bit more of a load to to bear for Bella FINA. But looking forward to see if she can put her best foot forward. X a rather serious to sixteen XM to three Phillies in Lexington and Louisville Kentucky and streaming worldwide podcast on our HR website horse racing radio dot net. It'll be our last chance to see the oaks and derby contenders in their morning. Preparations for the racist. Do you expect anything different tomorrow than what we've seen the last couple days as far as what these contenders are going to do? No. I mean, I'd like to see him all come out and train the way they've been training. This is not a time where you want some horse to go in reverse. You want them all to move forward? And they really seemed into it this morning. I think all the horses have recovered from their works. And and they're they're anxious to do a little bit more. But the trainers will keep them down to a roar. And the the oaks Phillies will get their chance at it first. And then the colts following dates. It's going to be a lot of fun. When you're looking at the the Phillies and the Colton geldings for these big races coming up, Friday and Saturday and the just massive humanity. They're going to see for the first time really ever. I know that days like Santa Anita derby day and Arkansas derby day was a huge crowd at Oaklawn, obviously Gulfstream for Florida. Derby, those are big crowds. They're not big crowds. Compared to what these horses are going to see Friday and Saturday. What are you looking for? You know, when the horses are coming around the turn and walking toward the paddock. And maybe saddling. Both positive and negatively, well, you know, you like to see the horses relaxed and you'll see that the a lot of horses just walk over like they've been doing it their whole life. They don't really give the people any credence whatsoever. And you know, sometimes here on oaks and derby day gets a little rockets, but especially on the turn of the walk over for the big racist. But you know, a horses are very adaptable animals times. People worry about them too much. It's been my experience that you know, if a horse's treated, well, and and, you know, schooled properly schooled and in done all the things that you can do to to make them as relaxed as possible on race day that that carries over regardless of the crowd. And unless something unforeseen happens like somebody starts throwing a beach ball or something stupid like that. You know, I it should be fine. That usually doesn't happen. At the race track. That's not usually usually not. Usually I've seen it done at the racetrack. Doesn't usually happen. You don't usually have race tracks where there's bleachers on the far turn. So it's a little bit of a different situation here. So you're mentioning the schooling are are they going to get a lot out of maybe going over to the paddock in standing there on a daylight today when there's just a regular obviously, not a regular as a bigger than normal Wednesday crowd. But it's pales in comparison to what they're gonna see this weekend. Is that still something that's valuable just getting over there? And seeing what what the visuals are. Well, you know, there's an old saying better to light one candle than to curse the darkness. So you do the best you can when you're when you're schooling horsey. You you try to get him. If you're worried about the crowd, you try to get him in front of the biggest crowd. You can't. If you're worried about something else. You know, you try to make judgments trainer Richard Mandella one time we were interviewing him, and he talked.
