"In New York. Nice time. Lightening strike good, damn fucking carried it out. I didn't know. Give the our wind out. Sinophile. Outgoing Jiminy Mobis guys. I mean, why waste energy efficiency when I'm taking your guises picks. Why would I convey to the listeners not mine? So, you know, I've got a complete rain out of this weekend and probably most of next week. I heard a nice little fun baseball bedding thing day, or they're like, if you're going to bet baseball, you might as well have a whiskey. Wasn't say here. Thanks zito. Your fucking thunder. Threw me off. I wanted update my puck and futures pick Dominik team. Yeah he is in the semi-finals against the joker. He won. The first set six two is currently three three in the second-set. He makes the finals I could only fucking hedger to all right. So that is NBA MLB, little French Open update. Now, the guy crushes WNBA, but he also is our horse guys. Slow slow your roll, because I e you know. Jesus. Okay. We need more information. Right WNBA, we're on kind of a heater. Yeah. I'm giving you my best bet. Yeah. But why don't we play another game to Tony? Why don't we get greedy fucking gets talking. I mean, I was going to finish with WNBA because that's what all the people stick around for. But if you wanna do it now, let's can do it. He Indiana fever right here in our backyard. Todd made a mockery of last year. Horrible team. They said they're gonna finish almost dead last this year and everybody's laughing at the fever and the Dallas wings on the other side, they're coming to town laugh and not a great team. One of their stars are out. You remember. Schuyler diggings, skyler Diggins Smith. Skyler Smith digging you remember her Notre Dame prayer? Notre Dame great away. Loved her. Okay. People keeps laughing at Indiana fever at home tonight, because I am taking them the cover the four and a half points against the visiting Dallas wings. Indie fever, love you. So I've got a two two games tonight. You can parlay those games make yourself a little extra money. Like a couple of guys did last night. I like the fever, minus the four and a half against a Dallas wings. And of course, the mystics minus the eight and a half against the New York liberty. So just like the mystics game the line actually have it right now is at five and a half. So shop around find the best bet shea backup there from eight and a half to five and saying, you, you said, you had the mix nine and a half, actually nephew said, you had the fever at four and a half. I actually see it at five and a half where I'm looking shop around find the best line. It's it a little gambling tip for you guys. Get it in early. How about that? And for people who have just started listening to show, I've actually got a few questions on, on where we bet. Now since there was a little fall out in where you guys should bet. I mean, if you're in a legal state, go find any, any booking Waigel state, especially if you have an online mobile app, so you could shop around for the best lines using nose or if you're us where our state is legal, but it's not been set up yet. You can go find your best offshore book. So I mean just all just Google best offshore betting site read about it read reviews. See what you like. I'm currently using one, it probably Ryan's with cravat. So something to think about there. We've anything else. Oh, yeah. The Belmont, the fucking Belmont. Gorse. What are we doing here? Well, it's kind of, it's a fun one it because I like backstories and we do love backs and we kinda got brotherly love in this. There you go. This race. I mean two brothers going head to vibe for the, you know, the championship it was called the Belmont, Stakes and other brothers horses or they are horse. Okay. Okay. And they are both the sons the son's happens save time like litter. No, there isn't a litter. When it comes to horses leave, you can only have one. They have different mothers, but they have the same father. Oh. So he was getting around. There's no twins. When it comes to do fuse, how to the mothers feel about this. I don't know. We haven't got word. Hopefully, we'll have something by the end of the show is the mother going to come to the game. So the race. Colors. Oh, okay. So tap is a the father here. Tap, it has won the Belmont in the past grade horse and three of the last five winners of this race are sons of tap it. So he gets around. He spreads his seat around a little bit. So here it is for you, boys. I want you guys to not be afraid to box these bets. Okay, because I've got the four top horses for you. It's up to you guys to find out a winner. I have my personal one. And there's a reason behind it. Here we go. You go. Yeah. Let me explain a box to these. Yes, please. So a trifecta is you have to pick the exact three horses in exact order, rectal order, if you box it all you have to do is correct. All you do is pick the correct top three horses. They can finish first second or third in any order. It doesn't matter. So if you box it, it's kind of like just kind of hedging your bets a little bit of versus the exact which is you had to go one too much back to order, go. So I like intrepid heart to win this Todd Pletcher as won this race before three times. He is the trainer on intrepid heart. Is that trip is kit. Yeah, you can call it that tie Tacitus, who is the morning. Line favourite for this race. He's not gonna win it intrepid Hartill beaten by a no. So tested, a second. I'm going master fencer, the Japanese horse from the derby, great closing speed can't get intrepid heart at the end and also bourbons war. I talked about him earlier this week, bourbons wars there. I'm not putting war of will who is been near has been a fucking disaster. Nobody's raced in both of the first two triple crowns, MRs third. The only horse to do it. So I think he's a little bit gas Todd. That's what I'm saying. So I'm keeping them on the way to a little bit. Don't forget, put on sixty pounds. So I've got intrepid harp. Tacitus bourbons Warren, master fencer, actually intrepid heart Tacitus master fencer, bourbons wars, my super facto. So that's what I'm playing. You guys pick your winter minds intrepid art, but be, don't be afraid to box even if you're exactly even if you're trifecta and win some money with the super fact box with those four orces. My fingers are cross. All right. So you're going heart. Palpitations Tizi boss Nagasaki environments, war perfect. You just combined tennis. What if the tennis players were the jockeys? That'd be awesome. But in the white Iraqi if they play tennis that's called. Paulo paulo. You've seen. You've been Utah replayed polo, once I haven't played I've seen polo. Yeah. I've seen it. I, I could see you out there with your fucking, your white polo. And then you're blue sweater tied around jeans and a t-shirt. Yeah. Sure. Out in LA, dad. It's fun. I tell you what I, I make this joke a lot. But those guys are athlete both of them the horse and the guy on the back. I am a huge mallet on their thing. I am the best at Marco Polo. I win every time I think it would be a good blind person. You hold your breath, long time breath, longtime, I'm hard to find, but I will find you Spidey senses. How long did you have to hold your breath under water? There was a pulled day where you have to, but you're not really underwater. It's more, it's how good you can float with all your gear on. And you gotta be able to float for a long time with the gear. But when I was on the state police dive team, I was very good Audie. My breath. I was I was able to go into like the college pool and go the holy Inc. Without having to come up. That's one into the other nice to jail could make it about twenty feet. Hey, we're on this marine stuff. I do have a question, Tom. When you're in there, did any marines fight each other. I think yeah. I think the answer I think I know the answer. But what would you guys around them do? Would you let them roll and say, hey, finish yourselves fucking land on wage? Let's go really. Oh. Husband bent for a long time. Well, I didn't know if there is actual nose-to-nose combat between the same. I mean just like this team, you gotta fuck in your around each other a lot. You gotta get it out. Broderie buddy like the Steelers, especially. I ask that because my uncle was a paratrooper, and he said that he had to hold his breath for like three or some minutes for test. That's a really fucking longtime. It is a longtime. I've never tried to myself. I'm calling bullshit. Get some marine good. The key is, when you think you're totally out of breath in, you can't survive. Like I've got to come up. You just don't come up. And you get a little second one. If you hold it long enough. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Three last night. Friday's. We have an eighty six percent win rate. I believe is our Friday percentage. Is that correct? I think so Carrie. Yeah. Yeah. Eighty six percent. I used only fucking good. Thanks. Thank you. Thing, the calculator regular. Okay. Oh, it's not a sound bite. You actually have a calculator. All right. Calculation like sound. Found it. Here is our Cup of coffee a day parlay for Friday, June, seventh two thousand nineteen Elena braids modest one and a half run line. The New York Yankees Cleveland Indians over under five that Enron. "Now the short oppress horses. I think Tacitus is obviously someone that's going to be heavily bet in for good reason his fantastic breeding everything points towards in handling the distance. Well, and I think he's going to be one of those horses that work out and absolutely perfect trip. I think is going to be quite a bit of speed. And I think like we saw the Preakness war of will just have a perfect perfect trip is just one of those horse racing is all about pace and the trip. And I think you know speed. It alone on the front end is so dangerous just like getting that perfect stocking trip. And in his case Tacitus case, I think he's going to be a little bit off the pace, but I just think that, you know, having the added furlongs which he would've loved in the Kentucky, Derby just going to do him. So many favors the price is short, but I can justify that. I like him and bourbon Warren, we'll just box them. We're not gonna overcomplicate this keep it simple and my throat, the Tri box, but in kind of said, ever fast and bourbon war, but I I'm leaving even ever fast as the winner because, you know, in your blog posts you bring up a great point, where that's ever. Fast is last start in the Preakness was by far is most impressive closing from as many as twenty two lengths back to finish second. That's what you want from a horse in this kind of race. Right. Absolutely. It you know, at the end of the day with the Belmont Stakes. Just you're gonna have so many horses that are going to be tiring on the front end and wit speed entered. It's very likely that there is a pace stool fast, fractions upfront, and that just benefits closer so well and I tend to for horses on a weekly basis, I love to see their last race. And I like to see them entering off their career career-best race or off victory and just to see his last race. Was it kind of came out of nowhere for me just before his best speed figure his best placing outside of the maiden win. It's just it looks like maybe are clicking. So you're gonna get a fantastic price on hand. So I mean, I can't blame you you're gonna be getting probably twenty to one somewhere around that range. So that's definitely. Well, that's great. And make sure you check out all of parlay queens articles over at sports gambling podcasts dot com. Make sure you give a follow on Twitter at par lay Queen anything else. "Congratulations. Another championship for Boston. They will have earned it yada, yada, yada, blah, blah, blah position on this is all very clear. That, of course, the great Brent hall before four and that's the reason they tied the series at two, by the way. Nothing says Stanley Cup final more than this headline on ESPN dot com reports. Charles, jaw broken Bruins options, he has not still been ruled out for game five despite the fact that the Dino chara literally, the biggest guy on the team has a broken jaw. Yeah. And they just listed as a facial injuries broken six nine by the way game six nine about two fifty. Imagine that, then on skate for seven with the skin. That'd be a beautiful sat here and laugh so hard yesterday on the bottom line watching it, scroll past in the studio here on ESPN where it said status still uncertain for game five in parentheses broken. John Senate as long as I've been on the ESPN to me that the toughest athletes in the world Grant Fuhr when he was a goal for the blues once played in a playoff game of the tornado. He played in a postseason game with a torn ACL. It's unbelievable. So for more on the Stanley Cup final as always were delighted to be joined by Eddie Olczyk not only former hockey player, but according to our question sheet, and appreciative of the ponies. Eddie, thanks for being with us this morning. I first and give me your favorite tough-guy hockey story, because they are they are the greatest. We'll good morning guys. You know, guys seem to be able to confined way, come playoff time and senior said, you know, being a lot bias and having played in this. Great league and sport, for long time, guys, just be able to bite the bullet and, and find a way I saw Mariela MU for couple of seasons in Pittsburgh. I mean there were times where I mean, the guy needed help to just get up from a chair and somehow someway. He was able to get some help and get escaped on and go out there and be the best player around the ice night in night out. And somehow, somehow, someway guys, just find a way to be able to suck it up and, and do what they need to do. So would I be surprised if we saw Sharon the lineup tonight? No, but we'll have to wait and see and certainly a huge development here in the series with a guy with all that variance and Hugh, tanker in every sense of it on the back end for the Bruins tell if he's not in that line of Boorda's ado. Yeah. Well, I mean, look at it somebody that. Each up, so many important minutes, not necessarily on the power play. But on those we killing situations, the match up, you know, think about it, Mike. You said it nine to fifty and a wingspan probably about sixty five feet and going up against the guy like that. I mean you got you know, you don't have much of a chance. But, you know when you take a guy out of the lineup like that forces guys to go up the ladder. And whether it's, you know, roll guys or guys that are in that second and third pair, all of a sudden, you're asking them to go up there, guys top lines of other teams. So that's really where the, the biggest question. Mark will be other guys eat up the minutes that he takes all the quality minutes against the other top line. So look, this is a. I guess the other colossal development within the series. And if he can't go all the momentum for trail enjoy hearing, this is all the momentum certainly falls in favor of the Saint Louis blues, say it again. Again, with us on the shell Pennzoil performance line in the new show v power nitro plus premium gasoline now at four levels of defense against gunk, wear corrosion, and friction any we spent some time in the NBA side talking about the process of getting a guy like Kevin Durant back on the corporate half injury or Klay Thompson with a hamstring now with something like this. And we talk about how tough hockey players are. What is that conversation like, when it's something like a broken jaw going into with your training staff with the coaching staff about how to get a guy ready for this? Yeah. I mean I hate doing this junior, but I the only thing I, I can relate to that. I took a took a puck in the face and practice during the regular season the player and I broke my medic arts. No, you're adopter doors while doing your. So you're everybody where that yesterday, chewing gum? But it's, it's, it's a bone in the area and I had to sleep with a steel plate at nighttime on my for six weeks. So it didn't once they reset it ahead to do that, so that it wouldn't be pushed in and then to have to have, you know, really major surgery and what have you and you gotta wear this cage, and you gotta wear the fish bowl, and it's just it's very unorthodox, but you just say, look, can I heard it any further. Really? That's the question. You know this. Your dad knows this like you tell the trainer the doctor anymore. Yeah. How much how much more her can I get? That's what ends up happening and, and you find a way like I said earlier, you just find a way to fight to it. And if I can't get hurt anymore, and especially at this time of year. I mean, there's no doubt in my mind. No one big z. There is no doubt in my mind. Those are questions that, that he is asking and we guardless so there's any surgery. Volved or whatever you know look, what, what what's going to happen down the road? And if you're telling me that. Okay. All right. Just gonna have to have another surgery. Whatever then, okay, I'm ready to go and, and clear all the protocols that I need. So those are the conversations no different from football league. The NBA makes baseball, the National Hockey League's the same. But that that's those are conversations that you have and guys want to get out there, whether it's the regular season or game game five sixty seven of the Stanley Cup final. That's why you love the stink of the rink is NBC sports. Pucks pony expert, Eddie Olczyk with us as a few big days ahead of him. I it's the blues. Bruins game five tonight, eight o'clock eastern than the Belmont, Stakes this Saturday at four on NBC and Sunday night is game six. We'll get to the ponies in a little bit. But you mentioned Eddie that all the momentum now seems to be with the blues, and this is something they've been able to do this entire season six on the road this postseason when trailing tied in this series. What do you make of that? I think it's a Matic's. I I really do trae. I think it's being very comfortable playing a certain way and. Speak from experience. I mean when you do play at home that you try to put on a show, but you may be try to be a little bit more fancy. You try to be a little bit more finesse type of team. And that's, that's not the blues is, I'm all it's not. And they've been so resilient, as you know, in these playoffs when they've had a bad game they've found back in a big way. And I think you gotta give a lot of credits to coaching staff. Craig, ruby who has the interim tag on them, which is drives me crazy. When they introduce them in the buildings as interim head. I'm just Lakers process. The National Hockey League and they spoke home inter interim head coach. He's done a great job. And I believe it's just when you get on the road, you just it's it's hockey twenty four seven I'll have to worry about tickets. You don't have to worry about your family. You don't have to any, it's just all business. And I think that they played that way on the role. They have played some incredible games. Now I go back to round one against Winnipeg. Remember go back the rod one where they won the first two games in Winnipeg. They lost the next to it home. Then they go back to Winnipeg where they're getting totally outplayed for the first two periods in the in the kite series to any score three goals in the last in the last period and beat Winnipeg three to score twenty seconds left to going again, Jaden Schwartz scored. And then they go home, and they just totally poma Winnipeg and win the series. So, you know, they they just stay the same. They just stay the course stay the course and then find a way to win on the road had a better record. On the road in the playoffs, and you do at home. I think that speaks to the heart of the heart of what I just said any check. Joining us again, talking about the, the NHL finals right now, also covering the Belmont on Saturday, and listen. We all understand. No triple crown on the line. It's been kind of an odd year. We had a racist this year for it. So we're looking for those reasons again to tune into the Belmont and for you to give me that horse. It's gonna make me some money. Yeah, we're gonna try to get back to inheritance here. I know. I know the pressure pressure is, you know, it is it is a competitive race it really is. And we gotta feel that ten as of right now. The weather looks like it's going to be absolutely beautiful on Saturday. Which is a nice thing they're going to mile and a half most of these sources will never run this distance again as they continue on in their race. Career were of will who ran a incredible race in the Preakness is going to be coming out of post position number nine the horse that I'm leaning on right now is Tacitus who finished fourth in the derby, but then was moved up because everybody remembers disqualification he ended up running third. He he was one of the fastest closing horses. That day I think there's quite a bit of speed in this race. I think for the mile and a half, I think you're gonna get a pretty honest, paste and Tacitus bypass the Preakness and he got a little bit of you know, a little bit of rest in between the derby. Philmont were of will be the only horse that have been running all three jewels of the triple crown. So I'm using a lot of my, a lot of my tickets. Run at ten course Tacitus and almost gonna use a horse that they gave out in the Preakness bourbon war. I didn't like the ride that I read Ortiz gave bourbon war in the Preakness they want. They've gone to Mike Smith. Now. Everybody knows Mike Smith triple com champion jockey. He is gonna be writing bourbon. Warren also, interesting will be master fencer, a horse that came from Japan. He has the fastest closing quarter mile in the Kentucky Derby, now that was a that was a off track. He did come up the best part of the race track along the rail be interesting to see he's bread to run for five miles master fencers. So that's a horse. I think might be the so-called wiseguy horse coming up on Saturday. But right now, I'm a lot of my tickets, Tacitus and bourbon war, and hopefully, we can make all that money back for junior and look for it in by on somewhere about junior shoot you right here. Exactly. Trust me is very lucrative. For you to if this goes right for me. So I appreciate the sound advice here. That sounds good. That sounds good to me. Hopefully, we'll get to jocular rides at the. A little more Eddie as always. We appreciate the time. Thanks, brother. Heavy cruciate guys. Thanks. He's just great. He's fantastic fast. Okay. So we'll see what happens tonight. They're coming up in talking about his new quarterback. Dill dill actually say something about his old quarterback. We'll get to that after this. Businesses small medium, or large, you still need supplies to keep it running. No matter your size or how much you order, Grainger has got your.

"New York for the one hundred and I d champion show your, your host Alex, gold and Jake s but. All right. We continue here from bet. Cage black Long Island. New York baby ten minutes from where I grew up. He's Alex gold I am shake been we're with you for twenty minutes and we'll be back tomorrow. Same time for to seven eastern as we will probably see Brooks. Kepco wrap-up, another major win the way this is headed. He is the leader now at twelve under even for today. But that's all he has to stay even again tomorrow. And he's gonna win the thing especially after Dustin Johnson, who was playing himself into that final parent with KEPCO tomorrow. He bogeyed hole number eighteen so KEPCO fell down to five under finished one hundred for the day Phil or Johnston fell onto five unders Justin Johnson is now tied for second with smooth jazz herald, Varda, and Luke list all five hundred there. So it's been an up and down leaderboard really tight outside of everyone Brooks KEPCO, who is firmly in first play. Alice seven strokes ahead of everybody else, where this kind of just kind of waiting here, so that trophy, the Wanamaker trophy handed to him tomorrow evening. And that's that's to me. All that is at stake as far as the top of the leaderboard. Yeah, we wanna see how finish off tournament. I certainly do and fortunately today is to over and three hundred for the tournament, I wanna see if he can have maybe a one or two hundred eight tomorrow, just to get a top ten finish potentially which is what he still is in line for his eighth right now. It's been a long time since speed is finished top ten let alone top ten and a major in so, yeah, I, you know, there's some people that don't like the speech, but I'm kind of a fan of his, and I think golf is a whole is better when George speeches around because, as you know, Connor brought up thorn speech was the guy we were talking about, you know, two years ago as being that guy that we're going to start looking up to that. While in ROY, Royal bounceback as well. But Jordan speed has been a little bit longer, and I think will more concerning for him to, to figure out him. And we talked Charlie apps, of course, hosted the Charlie call our here on ESPN radio show. I do with him the Saturday morning. We did it this morning. And he continued to speech just the biggest change that he has to deal with his, his body from a couple of years is if you go and look when he was winning majors his way bigger now than what he wants was. And so the challenge of adjusting, there's, there's a big adjustment to that when, when you decide to hit the gym versus just being being maybe more of that kind of Linke kid that's out there, which is when you had success. So he's kind of had to adjust things and I do think he's on the right track. But it would go along way based on the weekends. He he has had the last calendar year if he can avoid, you know, today, if you could just keep it at plus to the way, it's gonna could've been worse, but he's not gonna be happy with that, but he didn't blow up because he's had some Saturdays or Sundays, where he put, plus fours or plus five out there really. Struggle. Yeah. He he's been up. Now today. He's had some good moments. He a coupla awhile back birdies on the back nine and he was starting to play into the mix once again, but, you know, the thing that your speech this, you know, can take some positives out of his performance this weekend, finishes, strong tomorrow, going into the US one before we that's the beginning of the day. How big of a day today was for speed, and yes, it's not it's not great what if tomorrow, he's, he's able to just in kind of hang around in play, even goal for the most part. I think he's going to be happy with what is performance was. He had a very difficult difficult quarter him and started to see the putting comeback that he that he's had the last couple of weeks, Byron Nelson last week. And that's why he felt confident to last week. It was I think he finished twenty six twenty third at the Byron Nelson, but maybe got a little bit of all men on. But it's all been Brooks kept us seven scroll leaders, they're about to wrap up on eighteen kept his world. And we are all just living in it as. He's going for his good major win. Eight majors played in is definitely good to be Brooks. Kept running. Kids are to be Brooks coming up if this is a very popular of names how this for a segue allergy Preakness is coming up in about four minutes. So when I thought would be fun, is that I'm gonna play a wager on one of these horses. But we're gonna do this together. We're gonna go through the names of the horses. I'm gonna tell you the arts it just the name that we like the best is the name, we're going to gamble on at the Preakness basically lost all the buzz because the winner of the derby been running people don't even know what's going on today, Jack. Yeah. So we're going to educate the people we're gonna if you're listening. There's a for minutes here we got. All right. War of will name. Number one name number two bourbon war. I kinda like that name number three warriors charge may number four in problem, name number five Owen down name number six market. King name number seven always mining name, number eight signalman may. Name number nine bowed express name number ten ever fast name number eleven how many names Lamping, there were twenty in the dirt. Main number twelve another twist of fate, and it's all one word just for those who are keeping score at home and number thirteen named thirteen win win win Alex. What is your favorite name at of the names in the practicing the name that involves alcohol is nice for me bourbon, Warren? I'm not a huge bourbon guy. So I'm not. I don't wanna go with that horse. We're just going off Dame's. Gimme war of will do a name. Will you haven't pick the favorite at seven one? I have four to one here. I don't know this. I wanted to win move that this is from the action network. And this was posted. Well, the odds of change. Well, there you go. Maybe that's why we pick war will war. Well, I kind of like improbable at five to that. That's the favorite. Oh, is that your favorite their problems? The favorite here. I guess we'll have to look it up on the probably is favorite on yours as well. Are they five better thing about five to two favorite? Yeah. Find it's not it's five two. That's you. Yeah. I'll take your word for so improbable at five the two is that we get we've been in the favorite here. Don't we both stashed in the of course, we're putting we're gonna put a going to we lose expensive to gal media. Beats actually is back in Houston will take care of. And I think that's, that's why we pay you got it. It's done. What's your favorite name out of the names, that just read off from the practic- you a market king guy vote express? Another twist of fate win win win win win win win. It's a great name. Here's my issue with that name, you really think the owners like hey win win win or win win it just no one's gonna call it. And you think they go up in bourbon war because that's, that's any herbs Burr with somewhere doing. I'm not so sure I don't know. But they're getting ready to start the race. They are we actually actually not to go too far down the route in, we're having fun, of course, with horsemen, but I guess there's some talk, this could be the last Preakness at this site where they moving it. That's the big debate. Now they're gonna move the I don't even know the hope is, they'll keep it in Maryland. I was on a done deal by the chance to move away from Pimlico. Right. Macos. There's a chance that they can move it off off this track. There's Bob Baffert with the unbelievable. Harry times a year. We see him on television. It's true. His name. That's how good the best train because when the horse racing his horses usually when I should look that a who's a horse and this, because that's the gamble. Favorites days win the Kentucky Derby. So we're, we're gonna go with very up pretty soon. It's gonna lock you out. I need you. You may not even be able to get this bed in their head into the the starting gate headed as well. "At ten on WGN cheating. Seven twenty Jianping Jane and the AllState skyline studios in four. John williams. We're talking Preakness with Hawthorn. Racecourses GM Miller. All right. Let's do a whip around and pick our horses. Let's start with our sports guy. Joe Brancheau who you take today? Well, we got a buddy named Brady stiff who used to work here. He likes Owen Dell. I know he's a little bit further down the line. But he likes the fact that he thinks improbable war of will might be a little tired. He also likes Owen? Dell's jockey Owen Dale, Jim what can you tell us about that horse at ten? His jockey as well, in Florida through wish got gotta boredom for the first time and they last race in the Lexington road of really good race. And the one thing about Dale his running style changed a little bit last started. He settled a little bit further back and then came running late. And that's how the track to Pimlico played yesterday wasn't off the pace type of racetrack. So Owen Dale settle early on? And I think he can he the horse that should be able to close. Well late and he'd beat another twist, the fate in that last during the Lexington another twist to paint with six to one in the morning line owned L was ten to one I would rather take the ten to one at Dale. All right. Dan, who are you taking in the Preakness today, bourbon war for no reason? The name bourbon war. The winner that too, I think's going to win the race bourbon ward. This is a horse if you look back at the race to bag was the winner of that race in the phone of, you know, code of honor with the horse or just moved up the finished second in the Kentucky Derby, the last race for bourbon finished courts, while the winner, they raised his maximum security who crossed the wire, first in the Kentucky Derby, Cody express, who had a really tough trip in the Kentucky Derby was second. And there wasn't much pace in that race. No bourbon were is very similar running style to own Dale. He settled back early on. He comes closing late, but the Preakness today has quite a bit of early speed in it. So you're not going to have a horse, loosen lonely in the lead. I think it will be contested bourbon wars actually my top pick win this race. Oh, wow. I like that. Jane taking I am going with win win win. Did you pick win win win? No, no, no. Pick wing. They may not have been. It wasn't. It was something else. I remember. But no. I like linguine win because I think it was Roger Roger pick win win win remember when women being in the derby, but. Voting express from the derby. But I like win win now. Okay. Jay, not a whole lot of people remember the source in the derby, because the horse minister out of field in nineteen. Win win win the horse at actually, again, the running style is going to today because he's another horse that doesn't show a whole lot of early speed. He settles back because his ground late and that could be a pleasant here and win win win in the Kentucky Derby. He actually raced into some trouble early on in the race when they were kind of pinball out of the gate. He actually got shuffled all the way back the seventeenth out of field of nineteen. Now you only looking at thirteen in this field today, the outside post really isn't that much of a concern for me whether he can win now. We'll be the one question Mark. But he is a horse that I think came close and can be in the mix. And I do think you'll actually get a better price in fifteen two one morning. Mine trending horse. And I think the Jackie Jillian Pimental will do a really nice job. Somebody used Google. I was going to take bourbon war. But since Don dead. I'm taking warriors charge charge and you look up and down warriors charge this horse barn trainer. Brad Cox Brad Cox. The guy who's just come into the scene over the course of the last five or six years. And he's a guy that very good with these younger horses. These courses that are a little bit more lightly raced any spots, very nicely. Warriors charges. The one horse that doesn't have the credentials of the remainder of the deal. He hasn't been running in stakes races. He hasn't been running even in lower level stakes races last one came in and allowance race. But they need it Oakland part that they just concluded with a very tough meat more charging those last two races was ultra impressive going to terrorism. It was the first time you've seen this horse stretch out to the front end cruise the whole way around and you're getting the hottest writing jock in the planet right now in your Castellano. Aboard this horse. He won four races. There yet. Yesterday. He's going to have to send the source on the lead. That's the best shot you have. And that's the biggest question, always mining can show some speed in here. Another twist of fate and show some seed. But I'll tell you warriors charge and clear and make the front end. He's a horse that's definitely going to give you a run at a good price. So the best you could give me as he looked good around two turns in a former race I can give you right now. Dalil really good around to terrorists, again, the credentials, you just don't know 'cause he has matched up the horses of Taliban will find out today. I mean, I wanna pull up its share and hang out in your brain. Dawn anytime. Over with you. It's amazing. What comes out of your mouth? This is off the top of his head. He has. No not. Remember, he said track need in east Peoria I am saying I wouldn't it goes on inside there. It's just amazing that you can just speak like this about all these horses. What are the? My daughter right now. She's five to second choice. I would say she she she's quick early out of the gate and then she tries to maintain that the holy on the front end but she's very determined to the finish. So that's what we're looking for today. Just for the record the two thousand nineteen Preakness Jim Miller from Hawthorne race. Course you're taking bourbon war at twelve to one bourbon, Warren, top, I think he's the horse to beat. I do like actually Owen Dale to finish second in the national that I still think improbable can finish third Improbable's just a horse. That's kind of laughed at finishing chicken those recent races this year. Couple of second place efforts ram safe in the Kentucky Derby. But like you mentioned Pete coming back just two weeks off a really tough race in the derby, was the up to the past today, but he will go off at the favorite year. The best of luck to your daughter today. You gotta pay. So we gotta get the Gondal after that. Get the gun Dollah, and if you wanna get a pizza stop by to she's pizza. It looks like I'll be dropping stuff off by the studio for you guys. Thanks, jim. Got I.

"Two cents to get us more than on the on the previous thirteen worse. It seems like a lot for the Preakness, doesn't it? Oh bet. So Hanks about the join us right here. Tiger is I can't say in the fairway and I can't say on the green after that shot. He is. He's, he's often running he teed off. I whole he's two over par coming into today. I hold today snap that so far left on his first T-ball snapped at so far left, that it took several minutes for while it's not the message, call the patron the gallery. The the. Yeah. Yeah. Gary, here's army. It's, it's a public course. In New York City, the people the peeps. Get a pitiable to get the people out of the way. Hey, yo, get out away title as he snapped that he's, he's, he's not that so far left. He merely snap this whole head off, right? Hey, and it landed in the deep deep rough, which is called in Gulf fescue. But a New York fescue is what they told me when I cut them off in traffic. Fest me. No. You. I'm saying that's the way it goes in New York when it plays some Gulf on the throngs Nick. Did you tell me fescue? So, but the ball, you could see it in the fescue and tiger. Got it to the greenside bunker. Wow. And now he's out and he's putting for par. That'd be a scramble. Unbelieva start their own today? Right. So kept is out there. He seven hundred two in front of Jordan's speak, your clubhouse leader at five under after shot four under today. Just like Daniel Burgi. He's four under par periods. Same as Dustin Johnson. Tommy fleetwood. He's four holes into his rounded, a one under four under on the tournament. So that's the way we're rolling right here in the PGA championship will keep an eye on all that is the on the hammer. All right. Here you can you can you can we call the hammer to post right here on the rich Eisen show. Can we do that? Good to see you, Hank. Good to see what's going on having to rich, the capita just put one women and three feet on the first of all, there we go and have midnight, I haven't mind to one is that really? Yeah. You do nine to one that obviously, I'm pretournament, right? Yeah. Okay. Well, what else you got on this on this championship? Anything that's your only ticket. I played Patrick how you say his name, but he can't leave finished his second round. Okay. Very good. All right, Hank. Let's get to it right here before we get to the Preakness. What did you think of that finished? You think that was the rightful d Q of maximum? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I thought that he had to come down. I was on the air at the time. And I said before Bill Maher said that this was the third race. That's your favorite local racetrack. He would have come down within five minutes. I think that the decision that I don't agree with was was suspending fires. For fifteen days. I think he did whatever he could to avoid an accident and did a good job of restoring outwards. So there was no accident NCI. He actually should be praised for, for avoiding any further trouble in the race and he's going to repeal that. I, I hope he wins that those stewards, I agree with what they did. Although I don't know why they had to be acclaim foul. You know, they should have put you know, they should have put it in has a problem before that. And why it took them forty minutes to make a decision. I didn't understand that either. Well, what do you think of the idea of a lawsuit by maximum security, the owners of maximum security Hake? I wouldn't bet on them. Yeah. I mean, how many times can they disqualify this worse this, there's no chance? Right being approved. Now I wonder how what, what is the etiquette of handicapping here? Hank, do you do you go up to Bill Mont and say, how come you didn't, you know, whisper my ear about, you know, the launch shot to win country house. Why didn't you whisper about that? Do you do that expected to win the race with that horse that amazing? You know, he he, he really likes to, you know, there's other horse who you know who was, you know he likes who he had really trained up to that race. And, you know, the race was a fluke. It was written, you know, it was running terrible conditions. There was a lot of a lot of bumping around going on because of tracking so gooey and the horses were hitting each other through the whole the whole race in his horse. In fact that the one the like got knocked around plenty and he ran a big race. Considering all the difficulty ad. I think the Beaumont will be interesting. Okay. Well, let's get to the Preakness right here, Hank the hammer Goldberg on the rich Eisen show. Is this an a large amount of horses for the Preakness? It seems like so, but you, you would obviously better. Okay. Yeah. Usually a lot of a lot of forces, a lot of horsemen pass on the Preakness coming out of the derby, which happened again, but because of the field is not supposed to be as tough this year. A lot of horses entered MS thirteen horses in, but you know horses, but this was an odd year and that there were a few horses who with a break or two could have been in Kentucky Derby but didn't have enough points. And some of them are in this race in one of them. I like a lot. I'll walk. All right. I like it. All right. Anklets get into it. Who do you like a loss in this Preakness? I like bourbon war. I talked to his trainer. Mark Hanna guest today, Mark, and I are good friends and call them he got right back to me. This is a horse that ran in the fountain of youth, and he was second and he's a closer and he was running on a speed and track, and you grant fourth in the Florida derby, and he was just beating out of the third spot. I code of honor who ran a big race in the Kentucky Derby, and, you know, hit the board. But and if this had gotten a little bit of a better started as move a little earlier, he would have beaten code of honor on speed savior track. And, you know, of course, you know, maximum security won that race as loan speed. And he should like the extra disc. Since in this race and talking with with Mark. He's told me that these making little slight it just adjustment. Equipment adjustment. What they call short-term blinkers so that the horse will make his move a little earlier. He's got way war will our way of will rather and warriors charge on either side of them. Both of whom are going to go for the lead early, which will create a lot of room for max are of for bourbon ward. Excuse me. And he should get a real smooth trip and ideal trip from the two post. Okay. And, and this horse he's training great right now. And he's as good as any horses that ran in derby based on his performance on speed favoring tracks in Florida and he should get the best of it because there's a lot of speed in this race. That's up for him. I like the odds of twelve to one right now, as you and I are talking, he won't be twelve to one that he was okay. That guy made a bad line. And when you get a bad line in football, you go for it. And this was a bad line. I, he should be five or six to one and, you know, the trainer agrees with me, no way, I think he's gonna get bed. Okay. I don't think you'll be twelve to one post time but, but I, I came so much. I never bet horses to win. I'm betting this horse to win. Right. That is a very high praise quality endorsement from the hammer. All right. Then how do we fill out a ticket exact trifecta super spout me out here? I don't want say Hank. I wanna sign up. I wanna sign her today. Commute signer. That's all I want. You know, all right. You're ready. I'm ready. Yeah, I should have given you the signer in the last race. Or is this post twenty remember? But I didn't put him on. But I didn't put him on top. Good. Could you imagine it fifty fifty grand right for this super derby or grand cash? But anyway, it's interesting talking with some of the trainers, they horse. They think maybe the one to beat as Owen deal post five, okay? He's ten to one. Okay. He'd be another twist of fate who six to one out of twelve those who got a bad post any wall still when Dale and a race who that was running Kentucky Owen Dale is was a local Lexington stakes set three starts this year. And he's won twice. And he's got the right kind of style. And, and he's getting good at the right time. Okay. I think you have to use improbable 'cause he's the class of the race in, although yeah, I remember. Talking to Elliott Walden from Winstar about possible distance limitations for the source. And he said that, because the sire side was just that. And you said this horse wouldn't have distance limitations while the ratio ran in every would indicate that he thought that he couldn't make the mile and a quarter. He was in good position. And he just didn't fire him stretch. So I'm putting improbable in because I think you have to use them. He's Baffert who an all seven pregnancies that he. Then he won the horses came out of therapy. Okay. And then there's another horse in here called always mining. We six for six are this year is last six races. All of them were run at one track. Moral, he, he won the Tesco, and he came from a little bit off the pace. Normally he's on the lead. But I would put him in there and talking with a couple of trainers. I in fact, talking with with the trainer of bourbon War I asked him about other horses. He said, he looked at film of always mining. He said, that's a good horse. Okay. So what do you hear that scared off by the fact that he's only one at one track. Okay. And remember the tests show used to be run at Pimlico, but they only weren't run twelve races a year. Now FM Moco. So this'll be his first race over that track. So I'm gonna use the to with the five. And the seven and, and the four. Okay, something that comes to five seven you're going to have a signer. Okay. Ooh. So your, your best exact is what to five bourbon Warren Owen deal. Yes, it is. Okay. And if you wanna throw in one more worse. Okay. Who, who will give you the bomb. It's warriors charge who's who's only who's never run into stakes race. But he's two for two, okay? Races at Oaklawn anyone is last by twelve and a half lanes. And he's got a ton of speed. Okay. And he may he may hold on for peace case your best, exact to five, and if you're doing try you have to throw him problem two five four, right? And then two to five seven two five seven. Okay. Very good. Which is.

"Maximum security cuts the corner and opens up maximum security. Let's quarter of a mile to go. He's six on top second boaty express. He's running a huge race time of the inciting code of honor hidden, scroll at one pace bourbon more on the outside, but maximum security proved he's the real deal with a gate to wonder wait in the Florida derby Bodey express with second code of honor finish third then bourbon Warren current in one forty eight and four. Pita L at Gulfstream Park. Giving us the stretch call this year's Florida, derby maximum security little bit upset winner that day and really kind of the question Mark horse coming into the into the derby this year, this is a horse who if we had the foresight could have purchased in claimed him out of race for sixteen thousand dollars a few months ago. Now, he's worth little bit more than that. Yeah. It's slightly. He's done very well from self for wins in a row. And and we'll see what happens on Saturday. There's mixed reviews on him. So people absolutely love them. Some people think he has no chance of very polarizing, I think I I'm confused because I'm not really sure that he beat the toughest Florida derby field that we've seen I'm saying that very kindly horse. It was second to him was a maiden who seventy two one the horses who were the favorites in the race really didn't show up that well urban ward I thought was going to run a big race. He really didn't. He's a closer didn't close that day hidden, scroll just didn't fire what we saw anywhere close to what we saw in his astounding maiden win code honor. Ran decent racy was third, but he was seven lengths back. He really was not a threat as far as winning the race. So I don't know if it's a factor of maximum security is just that good. Or he just didn't beat that much. I'm kind of leaning to the to the ladder. You know? I I really find that that pace was so slow that if those horses behind him were really that good. They would have overcome that slow pace at some point. But they just never did. And people will point to the fact that that the winter Rian very fast last quarter. But when you're walking early you're supposed to be able to finish, right? Maximum security works like a snail, by the way, we saw him for the first time live here at Churchill this morning. He had a little bit of kidney sweat. He was just kinda. I dunno just easing his way around. I think he just arrived yesterday. This is a horse that you mentioned. I mean, his workouts are half miles and fifty three or fifty four three furlongs and forty two almost probably about the limit. As far as how slow an actual an official. Workout can be but in the race. He's fast. I think he's an Arabian. We'll look for Medella where park in Sam Houston. Mito's down the line interesting note, by the way of maximum security and something that I don't think a lot of people thought of to row some mentioned it looking at the bloodstock research figures, he got the lead by himself last time out it wasn't. So just that he wasn't going that fast on the lead. But apparently he finished extremely fast. It wasn't. He got out by himself and just kind of lull them to sleep in. That was it..

"I thought we went into the fountain of youth with six forces who probably had some Dake and claim to three year old trail, and we left with five of those of course, global campaign now sideline, but I thought five horses came out of the fountain of youth of reason to keep going, you know, and of become ran better than than I probably gave him credit for and a good third place finish. So he's among that five signalman did just enough in the gal out and finished up. Okay. With with this style, in the way, Kenny trained him it made sense. And the public bought it completely. They bought the trainer talking that offense that let signalman going and overlay price and he didn't run great. But he ran well enough to think that he'll do better next time in the bluegrass stakes and he'll have to. But I think that's the plan for Kenny. He's playing the long game with that one. And then of course, you know, the what we saw with. The favorite. I thought hidden scroll rain a good race. I mean, running fourth maybe not what we saw in the debut, and the Joel dropper, but definitely encouraging enough that, you know, this isn't one that you scratch off after that performance for sure and the top two I thought ran really well code of honor bounced back nicely. And and should you know, things weren't white was code of honor last year. Right. You supposed to run in the Breeders Cup juvenile. He didn't get there. The fall campaign to start the back then towards a winner campaign starts in the Muccio macho man and a one mile that kind of not really would you expect with an A-List horse to come back in the Muccio macho man should didn't have quite site. There. Remember, this is like a may twenty third or may twenty fifth bowl in code of honor. So that could explain a lot of his end of the two year old year problems. And maybe he's just now starting to find himself. So that's a good sign, and I thought the runner up bourbon Warren one of the most encouraging races. I I don't think it was, you know, pay related. He ran as well as I thought he finished up very strong Mickley down the backstretch. He was in the mix not like in the leave mix. But he was amongst those stalkers funny thing about this race is it looks like a pace meltdown because gladiator king ended up last by a mile in there in the fountain of youth, but of the horses who were among the top five going down the backstretch four of them ended up in the top five is wires. So it wasn't a complete meltdown race good horses. Ran their races for the most part. And I think it's an courage in rates moving forward for a lot of them. I felt the same way and we talked extensively yesterday everybody that that came through and we all had including frankly, shook himself he showed shook said that he thought everybody acquitted themselves in that the race is going to be productive going forward. I, you know, I'm I'm not as much of a total collapse scenario supporter here. I. Thought that I thought that for Gulfstream Park that was a that was a fairly typical unfolding the the way that pays went. And I I don't I I don't know what else. There is the say about I don't care about the gladiator king portion of it. I know people are, you know, are are say, oh, the we we should restrict horses like that. Yeah. That can't do it. Just there's always going to be those types of horses around. All right. And why not because every once in a while they win one Knicks go at seventy two one won the grade one race at Keeneland, the breeders maturity last fall when he was getting beaten sprints running other places..

"It was two thousand thirteen with a horse by name of orb. And of course, he would go on and win the Kentucky Derby, so they're hoping lightning will strike twice. And we'll see code of honor can rebound later today. Bourbon war comes into this racist somewhat of a buzz horse ten to one on the morning line. But Anthony's to Bill the big who will anchor the coverage later today joined us earlier in this hour, and he talked about bourbon Warren how good he thinks he can be and how professional he's been. Well, his trainer Mark Hennig started by looking back on bourbon wars two year old season. Would you Anthony? He was a bit of a clown. And you know, he didn't really you know, he would throw in a couple head scratchers. When when we we're breezing him last summer it sir Togan we we backed off on him for a while. You know, he just wasn't quite ready yet Manolete. But you know, I think after running the first time it just really woke him up, and he's a big tough. You know, he's not real big. But he's a tough minded Colton toughness stall. And I don't think he minds, you know, a little context. So I think you know, when it came time to to, you know, get initiated there in the Remington. He he took it pretty hard at the beginning of the race. And he's still, you know, went on and ran, and I think that the next time it happened to him in in this last allowance ratio. He was ready for rose to the challenge. And I read told me after the ramps, and he he really liked him. You know, when I heard horse gets fourth beaten nine lengths and jockettes often. He's kind of giving you that look. And he said, this is a nice horse. He said, you know, we nothing went our way I gave him a little school. And because it wasn't going to work out. You know? So I mean, he he he gave me a lot of confidence going forward and then hitting the horse down here and training him in south Florida. You know, you could really see the difference. In the horse prior than than the way trained prior to run in the first time, we didn't get to breezing between the maiden win and the ramps and so really had no indication how much he moved forward from the maiden win tough-minded. That's the way Marquette he describes bourbon war, and he's going to have to be tough minded in race like the fountain of youth today. But that should bode well for this horse from a mental perspective not only today but moving forward. Yeah. It's it's nice to have a horse. That's, you know, ready for any challenge in lives up to it. He's going to have to improve his speed figures a little bit. He's not one of the faster horses in the race. But he certainly is tough and game marks and excellent trainer. A one tons of races used to work for doing Lucas back in the day. I've known Mark for over thirty years, and he he's just a top notch guy. So when when Mark talks people, listen, I think that horse, you know, he certainly one of the major contenders in. He can finish he can finish. And he he, you know, it's like he'd never gives up even in the in the race where where you know, he ran forth wasn't that that big of a deal. I mean, it was only a second start me. He was coming back in seventeen days, which is not the end of the world. But I mean, it's a lot for a horse to pack into a little over two weeks time, I can your made and then come back in a graded stakes and you know, the time in between races really helps two year old. Anyway, I think if they have a little like two or three month break, it really kind of rejuvenates them in in in sets on new path. And we'll see how far the source goes. But we talked about the competitive nature of the fountain of youth later today, and what many handicappers and even trainers will be trying to figure out is how the race will shape up from a pace perspective. Well, Stanley huff sends out global campaign who has been ultra impressive in his very brief career so far and..

"That's just been tremendously unlucky throughout his career and really the only dry turf race that he got in those final three starts of twenty eighteen came in the sword dancer, where the glorious empire more or less just kinda cruised along on a on a very firm, very hard. And turf course that he was never never really going to quit on it never really was going to be able to cut into that margin. And he actually did pass. If is so highlands guy horse that that shown some ability in the past many Franko can keep him keep him out of trouble. Let him make that one run. If they move at least a little bit in front of him. He can get there. But boy, I mean ninety two is just really and that feels like a around a fair price. Just he's the kind of horse that you feel like if you're right about you wanna get rewarded a little bit more. Let's go back to the fountain of youth, neck and talk about one of your favorite BBC approaches. And that's I suppose a try. Let's let's put together try. It's here for people, which will probably be the game builder concept. Maybe maybe. Try and and late double perhaps, maybe that's what we'll do for tomorrow. But talk about how you leverage the understanding that hitting the scroll is very much a likely winner. But if you're going to try to make money in this race, how do you do it? Yeah. I think you know, my my best approach here. Trifecta wise would be to to key code of honor bourbon, Warren signalman and toss pin squirrel and relegate him to the to the the minor slots and play one four six one four six with one to four five six seven eight nine, and that's going to be a base bet of eighteen dollars for every fifty cents. So you would you would put them first and second first and third and second and third and what you'd be hoping for their obviously. I mean, the scores if they run one-two-three what you'd be hoping for is that somebody would. That obviously hidden skull does not fire and that descends up just being a little bit too much for him to soon. And in that case, I think you have the three next three likeliest probably three of the four likeliest winners after that. Because for me is a horse that that they're asking a lot of first off the layoff going. Milena sixteenth going to turns it looks like a pressure packed race. I know he has a running style very conducive to Gulfstream Park. But that's he's going to be a little too short a price for me to to want to to consider. And that is where I think you get just in a value on code of honor bourbon war signalman. So run it down again one four six one four six three by two. And then the five that get added in the in the third slot. One four would be the two four five. I'm sorry. The two five seven eight nine who you'd add in the third spot. Well, actually, right, right. The ticket takings if you went right one four six one four six with one to four five six seven eight nine very good. There you go. And then from there. I mean that opens you up to a few possibilities where if you wanna come back, and you wanna key one of those horses a lot of times what I'll do especially in a no contest setting is I'll come back and of those three whoever you liked the best. Let's say at signalman, and you might play six with one four, and then you might narrow it down again and you played six with one four with one to four five six seven, and what you're gonna do is hit that a couple of times. Because I mean, that's that's a base bet of of just. Eight dollars for dollar so and then in in in an effort to mix that around a little bit..
