The International Court of Justice has rejected Iran's legal bid to free up some $2 billion in Iranian Central Bank assets frozen by U.S. authorities. The money is being held for compensation to victims of the 1983 bombing in Lebanon and other attacks linked to Iran. In a ten 5 majority ruling the court said it did not have jurisdiction to rule on the Iranian claim. In a complex 67 page judgment, the world court also found that some other U.S. moves to seize assets of Iran and Iranians in the United States breached to 1955 treaty between the two card race and said they should negotiate compensation. Amber Athey: Media Finds Ways to Make Trans People the Victims
"The same people claiming like I don't know man what was the motive who can't seem to figure it out Are now saying to people like you and I am and by the way we're not capable of figuring out what happened But you definitely need to surrender your guns too But I didn't do anything wrong Doesn't matter Hand them over and you become the next victim Yeah exactly right Somehow it always comes down to disarming American citizens who have done nothing wrong The other incredible way that the media has covered this shooting is the fact that they have somehow still made trans people out to be the real victims right So you had news outlets talking about how this was going to spark an unfair backlash against the trans community president Joe Biden sent out a statement today for the so called trans day of visibility which I've literally never heard of until this morning Talking about how conservatives are hurting and terrifying trans children by trying to prevent them from going through genital mutilation and it's actually very parallel with the same way that they talked about radical Islamic terrorism which was always that the real victims were the Muslim community which was going to come under attack because we wanted to ascertain what in their ideology could potentially be driving these people to commit these radical acts So they really just twist themselves in a pretzel to try to figure out some way to turn the aggressors into the victim

Victims of Nashville school shooting honored in somber vigil
"Victims of the Nashville school shooting were remembered at a solemn vigil Wednesday night. Hundreds of people gathered at a candlelight vigil in downtown Nashville to honor and mourn those shot and killed at the covenant school earlier this week. Two days ago was our cities worst day. Nashville mayor John Cooper addressed the crowd. I still wish we did not need to be here. But we need to be here. The event included performances by Sheryl Crow, Margo price, and catch sea corps of old crow medicine show. First Lady Jill Biden, civic leaders and the 7 children of murdered school custodian Mike hill were among those who attended, city council member, Russ pulley. Covenant staff laid down their lives attempting to protect the children in their care. Police said 28 year old former student Audrey Hale shot out glass doors at the school Monday morning, and fired indiscriminately, killing three 9 year old students, the head of the school, a substitute teacher, and mister hill. Libby Emmons on the Frightening "Trans Vengeance" Movement
"Us now is Libby Evans, human events, and the post millennial she's one of the clearest thinkers on the trans issue. Libby, welcome back to the program. What a terrible couple days and what a disappointing news cycle that is followed of sensitivity to pronouns and trans people, but not to dead children, Libby, before we dive into it, just the floor is yours. Your thoughts and we'll go from there. Yeah, I would have done as you were Charlie when I saw on Monday that there was another school shooting. And it was even more shocking to see that it was carried out this time by a young woman, and that it turns out that that young woman actually believed that she was a male and used pronouns that were male pronouns. It was really a surprise to see that. And in the days that followed in the hours that followed, even more surprising and horrifying to perhaps not more horrifying. But pretty surprising was that mainstream media outlets started advocating for the use of these. He him pronouns and were prioritizing the use of pronouns over discussing the victims and the children that were killed. And things like that. So it was pretty surprising. Also, then we saw on Twitter, Twitter started banning people who were talking about this other thing, which is upcoming Saturday in Washington, D.C., several networks, some of them antifa affiliated all of them trans advocacy groups are organizing what they are calling a trans day of vengeance outside of the Supreme Court. And what is this even about? They're talking about bringing buddies wearing masks. So they think it's still the summer of 2020 out there. And they're still going ahead with this despite the shooting.

A Look Back at Operation Choke Point 1.0 With Nic Carter
"What I wanted to do today is for folks who have only heard me or others mentioned this idea of operation choke .2 in passing or maybe not sort of super gone deep on it. I want to kind of give a little bit of background context and current history that we're living through. We're recording this literally as there's a Senate hearing discussing some of these issues or at least the supervisory issues around the Silicon Valley valley bank failure. So it's an opportune time, but I think where I'd like to start is actually choke .1. What it was, when did you sort of come into consciousness of it? Let's take it from there. Yeah, it actually really began with online poker. So if you remember online poker were shut down, I believe in 2011. I don't know if you played poker at all. I had a lot of friends who were in that community. So I had friends who were like, I knew all the folks who had started full tilt, which was obviously a big, big piece of that. I was infected by it. Yeah, so I was a victim of choke. .1. And two point I suppose. So basically, the government is always looking for ways to tackle industries that they dislike. And sometimes you can't just pass a law outlawing them. They have to be really unpopular for that. What they realized was bank regulators realized they could start to marginalize otherwise legal industries by cutting off their bank access. This playbook was developed partially initially to deal with the online poker sites, which then I think they were effectively outlawed or at least it was black Thursday. It was black day of the week when basically all the poker size got taken down. But that was sort of the start. That's what people credit as the store. This is around 2011, 20 12. And then following that the playbook was actually put into effect in, I would say 2012, 2013, to target payday lenders. Now no one likes painting lenders. So, you know, they're not a very sympathetic target, but also they weren't illegal. So the question was, how does the government tackle this industry? Well, they just went to the banks that the pavilion owners used and told them, you know, we think that you're dabbling in an industry that is going to bring a lot of reputation risk on you the bank. And if you don't cut them off, we're going to investigate you. We're going to do a full audit full investigation. And this was the FDIC was the primary regulator doing this. In conjunction with the Department of Justice. And because banks are highly regulated institutions, I would argue they're basically part of the state. They can't really afford to piss off their regulator.

How Many People Are Killed In "Mass Shootings" Every Year?
"Many people are killed in mass shootings in the U.S. every year Now what is Pew Research say They say this is a difficult question to answer because there's no single agreed upon definition of the term mass shooting Definitions can vary depending on factors including the number of victims and the circumstances of shooting So you notice how the media uses whatever variables at once because it's pushing gun control Not human safety Not public schools safety We need to take the language back We want to protect our kids We want to protect our grandkids We want to protect everybody's kids This isn't going to do it When 3% of the weapons used and murders including suicides 3% are so called assault weapons We need an assault weapons ban We had when it didn't work So the FBI collects data on active shooter incidents which had defined as quote one or more individuals actively engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a populated area Using the FBI's definition 38 people this isn't 2020 Excluding the shooters died in such incidents in 2020 The gun violence archive and online database of gun violence incidents in the U.S. defines mass shootings and incidents in which four or more people are shot even if no one was killed again excluding the shooters Using this definition 513 people died in these incidents in 2020 I mean so we get from 5 13 to 38

The Nashville Shooting Was a Hate Crime Against Christians
"The incident in Nashville, the mass shooting has got to be understood for what it is and anti Christian act. And act of terrorism against a Christian school and by the way an accompanying Christian church. By a transgender shooter who appears to have been motivated by transgender ideology. Now, how do we know this? Well, we know it in part because there is a manifesto and the manifesto is being withheld. It's being concealed. And in fact, I saw an article that LGBTQ activists are demanding that the manifesto not be released. In other words, that the motivation not be made clear. This allows outlets like CNN to go officials are still searching for the motivation. They actually know the motivation. They're just not telling us what it is. Now, the only honest it will headline about this episode is from the New York Post. I'm reading the headline, transgender killer targets Christian school, boom, says it right there. Identifies the victim, identifies the victim miser, who doesn't identify the ideology, but that is presumed behind it. And contrast this with the lying headline in Reuters. Which I'm going to read you now. Former Christian school student kills three children three staff in Nashville shooting. So the shooter is not identified as trans, but is identified as a former Christian school student. The assumption being that this is some intramural Christian dispute. The former student is upset with the school, there's probably some beef with the school's policies. And then I look at all these headlines, New York Times, Washington Post Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, Chicago Tribune, pretty typical. 6 dead in shooting at Nashville school. They exclude the word transgender, they exclude the word. Christian.

Jack Posobiec on the Classic Victim Blaming After Nashville Shooting
"The new narrative, though, is that we're to blame, right? That it's of course a Christian conservatives that are passing laws to protect kids. Just build that out for us, right? Because it's not the maniac that kills 6 people. No, it's us because we have to be more sensitive to these. Right, so the narrative is, it's this, it's the classic. It's the classic victim blaming, right? So demons are real, right? So it's classic victim blaming to say, you brought this on yourselves. You brought this on yourselves by wanting to protect your children from this ideology from wanting to protect your children from falling into these surgeries from having this massive, by the way, financial arm of the United States, this huge industry that is trying to procure more customers for these hormones, hormones like testosterone that get administered hormones that are life altering that are obviously Chloe Cole and other detransitioners have talked about this in many cases. The breast removal surgery, the vasectomies, et cetera that go on. So when they say that we are to blame Charlie, what they're saying essentially is if you mess with our children, we'll come for your children because remember, if you understand the rhetoric and this is something that is the trans argument currently. That's their argument. And if you understand you have to unpack this and look, when I was at Guantanamo Bay, I had to unpack that insanity too. That was my job down there, right? The Left Attacks Christians After Shooting
"Gay club that was the LGBTQ club that was shot up in Colorado. We come to discover it's not an ideological purpose. And I don't want to ascribe ideology to anyone, often shootings are just crazy people like Gabby Giffords was shot by a schizophrenic break victim. You just can't tell, but I just can't imagine the American public rewarding anyone who politicized. I think the president politicized this out of the gate. I really do, pirate. Of course he did, but this is happened. The instant politicization has been happening for a while because if you look at comments from people on the left, either democratic politicians are activists, a long time ago, they began to start mocking Republicans. The thoughts and prayers, you know, the Republican senator or representative says on my thoughts and prayers with the people of blank after this terrible shooting. And so you began to see a lot of comments, the hell with your thoughts and prayers. We need action. So basically, they've just kind of skipped any formalities of expressing. Right, there's no touching of glove. Let's have a debate about guns. No, none of that. Just make Christians feel like they are subhuman and lack feelings because they want to use it as a sop, which is in fact the opposite of almost every person of faith that I know.

Did AOC Just Call Her Fiancé a Groomer?

Now, I lose track of what cisgender is. I think cisgender is normal, right? Cisgender is what we are. I can't keep track of all this stuff. Okay, play cut 8. Many of these disgusting and insinuating attacks on trans and LGBT people are actually projections of what predatory cisgender and often straight men do when left alone the presence of women or sometimes horribly children. So instead of getting you to challenge the patriarchy, they're trying to get you to challenge the very gender expressiveness that challenges patriarchy. Don't get it twisted, 'cause a lot of people attacking drag are projecting. I think the real victim here is her fiance. I mean, come on, you're gonna have to live with that for the rest of your life. I could say more, but I won't. She basically just called her fiance a groomer.

"Now you have to find your own way home now. You have to deal with the repercussions of being lost. Now you had to with everything you have to deal with the idea that getting drunk gets you into this space. And maybe that's not a good idea. Maybe you'd stop drinking. Maybe you couldn't. I don't know maybe you'd moderate you're drinking. Maybe you'd find another way but when you have no one to rely on yourself and no one around to enable you or help you are rescue you. You may have no choice if you want to get to the next day then to decrease minimize or eliminate dysfunctional behavior again. This is theoretical. Can't prove this. I just know that enablement exacerbates it. It amplifies dysfunction often. This is why For example with emotionally abusive relationships. I will often tell the person who is losing their relationship due to their emotionally abusive behavior. That there may need to be separation for a while. I will often tell both people in an emotionally abusive relationship. Regardless who is the emotional abuse earn who is the victim. Or if they're both doing it or they're both victims doesn't matter if there's emotional abuse in the relationship then they're probably has been some sort of enablement that has occurred and what that means is somebody did behavior and somebody else complimented that behavior to enable it to happen again or dare. I say allow it to happen again because if there's no accountability for bad behavior than they're likely to do the band behavior again and that's why the emotionally abusive relationship often continues to be emotionally abusive because the two people in it are still together. That doesn't mean everyone should separate and do their own thing and he'll on their own but that is an option and it is often a good option because it allows people to be on their own and recognize their own behaviors. Reflect on their own behaviors. Both as the perpetrator or the victim of emotionally abusive or even any hurtful behavior. When you are on your own the influence of being around somebody else decreases it starts to minimize and starts to decrease its effect on you and your thoughts so you will think differently when you are not with the person that either is enabling you or you are enabling you think differently. You change the rules. You change the formula of the relationship because there is nothing to bounce off of. There is no feedback mechanism anymore and without the feedback mechanism of When you do this. They do that or when they do that. You do this without that. In the relationship you have to think differently. You have to make different decisions and when you get used to making decisions on your own. It becomes a self nurturing and self compassionate and most of the time a self healing process. This is why i do. Sometimes say separation is a very good thing. And i'm talking about any relationship. Romantic family platonic whatever relationship. You're in if you've been around someone often enough where there has been a complimentary enablement to someone's dysfunction than what you end up doing is continuing to facilitate an environment where the dysfunction continues and enablement doesn't always have to be someone. Rescuing the dysfunctional person doesn't always have to do that sometimes. Enablement is a lack of accountability or doing something in a way that doesn't really affect the other person and that's kind of vague. Let me give you an example in a relationship where one person is hurting the other person in some way not talking about physically here. But i'm just talking about in some way. The other person is in emotional pain their suffering some way when ban exists. The person in pain might cry. They might Defend themselves they might yell back or they might with dry and be silent and they want to let the other person know that they are genuinely hurting and they want the other person to see that. Maybe they're crying and they're in pain. They want the other person to figure out that bear hurting them. And depending on the level of hurtful behavior going on in the relationship. Sometimes this can work sometimes. The other person will see that. That person's in pain so they'll back off. Oh my god. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. I didn't mean to make you cry. I'm so sorry that can happen and when that happens. That's a good thing that means they're accessing sympathy or empathy and really connecting with you. And they really don't want to hurt you. Know maybe they messed up or maybe they went too far but the point is that works for some people. The problem comes when the person and pain cries and appears visibly hurt and the other person isn't affected by that suffering so you have two people. One person is hurting in the other person's doing the behavior that person who's doing the hurtful behavior if they see your crying and it doesn't affect them enough to stop that behavior or stop it from repeating then. The person crying the person's suffering the person in pain isn't showing them accountability and in fact maybe feeding dysfunctional machine. This is probably one of the most important points Maybe of this episode. I don't know the episodes not over yet. But think about this for a moment if you continue repeating a reaction that doesn't stop hurtful behavior than your reaction may actually be facilitating that hurtful behavior. That might mean when you cry. It doesn't change how they show up so crying might be facilitating. How they show up. There might be a benefit to them. When you cry. I hate to say that out loud but there might be. This is why sometimes people continue to suffer because they have a response or reaction that is perfectly valid. I'm suffering. I'm in pain i'm crying. It hurts. why do they keep doing this to me. Why why why. And why can't they see. They're hurting me and stop. And when that thought process goes on someone's head and the other person doesn't stop the focus should be on why they're not stopping because that could be an endless line of obsessive but it should be on your responses.

As well as to independence and seven Republicans. The acquittal means Trump will not be prevented from running for the office of president should he choose to in the future earlier today, it looked like the trial might be extended for weeks after the Senate unexpectedly voted to hear witnesses. The trial would conclude later this afternoon with a vote on whether or not to convict Trump of inciting the January 6th right at the Capitol, But in a surprise development this morning The Senate voting to call witnesses. The trial may now last at least another week and possibly longer. House manager Jamie Raskin says the Democrats want to call as a witness, Republican congresswoman Jamie Herrera Butler to discuss a phone call she says she had with House Republican Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy during the capital riot. We would like the opportunity to subpoena Congresswoman Herrera regarding her communications with House Minority leader Kevin McCarthy and to subpoena her contemporaneous notes that she made regarding what President Trump told Kevin McCarthy in the middle of the insurrection. Raskin suggesting the depositions be conducted by Zoom to save time. But Trump Attorney Michael Vander Wien disagreeing with that assertion, these depositions should be done in person. In my office in Philadelphia. That's where they should be done. I don't know how many civil lawyers air here, but that's the way it works, folks.
