Biden Tries to Tame Supply Chain Crisis by Having Los Angeles Port Open 24/7

"Biden who is finally commenting on the supply chain crisis that is happening of importing products into our country. Now the easy and the simple way to diagnose the supply chain crisis is, we should not import so many products and goods and services from overseas, we need to self sufficiency agenda to make things here. I think that if president Trump would have articulated legislatively and politically, a self sufficiency agenda in 2020 and introduced pieces of legislation to reflect that, saying we want things to come back to America. We want vitamin C, penicillin, PPE products, all we made here in America. That would have been widely popular. So how bad is the cargo ship backup, cut 63? You know, this is both a symbol of success and failure, really, right? It's a sign of a strong economic rebound, but also our failure to plan for it. For instance, you know, paying people not to work with unemployment expanded benefits when we had 537,000 job openings in transportation and warehouses. But the point is, Harris, you know, for Christmas, you may not get what you want when you want it, what you want to pay for it because why? It's out here with me. And so Biden's grand strategies, hey, let's just work 24 hours. Now, I have a very simple and obvious question. You're trying to tell me our ports don't work 24 hours in our country that's an incredible thing to think about. That our ports are already not working 24 hours. Biden says, don't worry I got it solved. We're gonna work around the clock. Yeah, what a genius solution. Cut 59. And today we have an important announcement that will get things you buy to you to the shells faster. After weeks of negotiation and working with my team and with the major union retailers and freight movers, the port of Los Angeles announced today that it's going to be operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The extended hours the administration is touting represents something less than the full around the clock operations that are typical of the world's most advanced cargo moving

Biden Scrambles in Supply Chain Crisis, Urges Private Sector to 'Step Up'

"I mean, there's a supply chain nightmare in America. And the cargo ships are all stacked up. We're not gonna have Christmas. We're not gonna have presents. You want to order a car, it takes 6 months. Biden says it's truck drivers fault. Biden says it's the private sector's fault. You see, says grandpa Joe, you deplorable truckers, you gotta step up. This is across the board commitment to going to 24 7. This is a big first step in speeding up the movement of materials and goods through our supply chain. But now we need the rest of the private sector chain to step up as well. This is not called a supply chain for nothing. This means that terminal operators, railways, trucking companies, shippers, and other retailers as well. Strengthening our supply chain will continue to be my team's focus. If federal support is needed, I will direct all appropriate action and if the private sector doesn't step up, we're going to call them out and ask them to act. You don't step up truck drivers. We're calling you out. Hey, you don't step up, delivery drivers. We're going to call you out. Because that's what we do here at team Biden. We call out the unvaccinated. You're a bunch of morons. "How much more is this country going to be able to take? A president who talks down and demeans millions of Americans. For not getting a vaccine or for not stepping up, telling hardworking truck drivers and people on the front lines of the supply chain. To step up, you're not stepping up. You're slackers. This is an actual clip from something that the president of the United States actually said to the hardworking men and women who are doing everything they can to get stuff delivered to us. This is across the board commitment to going to 24 7. This is a big first step in speeding up the movement of materials and goods through our supply chain. The second, space launch, the Bezos and all these guys do. Here's Fox News's description of the touchdown. What a day for our astronauts. So now our team is preparing landing safety operations and recovery of our astronauts from the crew capsule, will be on the ground at the landing site to follow the action in just a bit. Maybe even talk to the world's newest astronauts. So I'm absolutely breath taking stuff. And I'll note that you're going to see our recovery team show up very shortly because we actually send them out before the capsule has landed. Because through our modeling, we get by now, we're very, very good at analyzing where the capsule is going to come down that way. Exactly. Where the winds are. And so we're going to see the recovery team come out there. And of course, we will also be joined by some of their friends and family to watch as they emerge from the caps. Jon Gruden Resigns as Raiders Coach Over Decade-Old Offensive Emails

"John Gruden has always been kind of a wild child in the NFL always been a little bit of a loose cannon, if you will. And I believe he was also he was also the coach of the Oakland Raiders in like the 90s. And then he went to the Buccaneers and led them to the Super Bowl very complicated. But then he rejoined the Raiders in 2018 after he was an analyst on Monday Night Football. Do you remember those things he used to sit down with the quarterbacks? And it was like Gruden's corner. I've never been a big fan of Jon Gruden. I'll be very honest. One in 2002, that's right, my memory's not too bad. I'm not going to be an apologist for Jon Gruden. Okay? I'm sure he lives a complicated life like most people in the NFL. But this recent saga involving in his resignation slash termination is disgusting. And the national Football Association is in many different ways. In enterprise that is built on a House of Cards. The entire structure of how many of the teams are filed as nonprofits on how almost every stadium is built thanks to taxpayer dollars. There's a lot of corruption that exists in the national football, the National Football League. And so it came out a couple days ago that John Gruden is going to be fired, or it has to speak out for his racist and homophobic emails over ten years ago. And I shrugged my shoulders and I actually didn't know where this one was going to go. Because John Gruden signed a ten year 100 million dollar deal with the Oakland Raiders. And now so he technically resigned whatever he says, I have resigned as the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders. I love the Raiders and do not want to be distraction. Thank you to all the players coaches and staff and fan fans of raider nation. I'm sorry I never meant to hurt anyone, John Gruden. And so it was revealed in some of these emails. And based from what I've said, seen should have said something's probably not no, was he joking around in private in a context that none of us can understand? Yes. He incited Joe Biden, insulted Joe Biden I can't even say what he called Joe Biden on air. It's kind of hilarious. Called Roger Goodell, a certain name. I'm no fan of Roger Goodell. So if this whole thing is like a Roger Goodell, apology tour, but here's what really matters. Here's the question. In the National Football League, do they ever allow people to do bad things and continue to participate? Like murder. How about rate Ray Lewis and his legacy of the unsolved double murder? Or how about you remember this one? You remember ray rice, who literally punched his fiance in an elevator? It was an elevator, right? Which gained total notoriety following the indictment he was released by the ravens and suspended, and now rice would be reinstated after he successfully appealed the league's decision. And this whole thing with John Gruden is this question of should you be judged by things you have said in private ten years ago to destroy your current

'Woke' Media Fails to Ask NBA Coach About China

"Com. Josh cross how are you and NBA fan? Somewhat. I mean, I kind of lost interest in the NBA when wizards don't make the playoffs at all. But yeah, I follow the NBA. I like basketball. Say you know, Popovich is allegedly this brilliant guy. He's very good basketball coach, but yesterday, Gruden gets fired from misogynistic homophobic emails and Popovich compares Columbus to Hitler and doesn't get asked a question about the genocide in China and the Uyghurs in his complicity in that. What's wrong with the NBA sports media? Well, not just the sports media, it's the leadership of the NBA, which I think they've suffered the most of all the four sports leagues because they got the most political, all the leaks of some extent have gotten more political than they once were, but the NBA really just like, I remember during the bubble season they put Black Lives Matter on the court. They let players offer their political takes on things left and right. And that's not a great place to be. We want one of the top roles of building a good team and effective team is that you're not divided by politics. You're one team and you don't talk about these issues that have nothing to do with the MBA. Popovich has a long history of offering his political takes. This becomes a no surprise to me that he says something like that. Well, I don't mind is giving his hot political takes, but if he's gonna give it take on Hitler, genocide, slavery in Columbus, somebody ought to ask him about the Uighurs and the ongoing genocide in China from which he profits yes and so much of sorry, someone should ask the silver and someone should ask a lot of the players who play in China, you know, what they think about that. Not so much more relevant, timely issue for the NBA, at least, but you're right, that there's sort of a double standard and you don't get the type of scrutiny. You're going to open everything up to politics. You might as well should be talking about issues that directly affect the NBA and the bottom line. And if you're going to hijack if you're going to hijack a basketball press conference to rant about Hitler in Columbus, you're going to get asked to China question if you have a real

"At this point is Really benefiting both teams in the month since the trade Domus in a brewer's uniform, has seen Milwaukee win. 21 of 30 fouls the slider out of play. 212 and there were some who felt the Brewers, depending on their circumstance would be a team that Would have some interest and perhaps trying to engineer a trade with the Rockies for Trevor Story to add a back to their lineup, not to say they might not still have interest, but With our Domus has played. Maybe changing the thinking a little bit for Milwaukee. 22 fastballs just a little bit high. It's a full count. Yes. You know the most interesting thing about the Ademas situation with the Brewers. He had never had a four hit game in his career. He said three since the trade, including one Last weekend in Denver Runner not going. The 32 pitch is hit through the right side for a base hit and into right center that allows Narva is to get the third so after retiring the first four Rather easily an opposite field hit by Narva fires, and then the hot Willie Adama's stays hot. It went down in the lower part of the strike, so maybe a little bit below the knees. To get a hold of that pitch and Boy with the second baseman Rogers shaded up the middle. He got it passed Brendan to Brendan's left. So an opportunity.

"In six point per passing touchdown leagues back to back in yards per game finished third and fourth. And we're almost tied. Their their statistics were very similar When you factor in that. Herbert only played fifteen games Clyde edwards helaire versus david. Montgomery all that later. But let's talk about the game. Dave i'll give you the first word. What jumped out at you. Thirty one two nine. Oh goodness So i picked kansas city. That was that was great. And i did it understanding that they were going to play the game without both of their starting offensive tackles. They've been playing without. One of their starting offensive tackles for a while but i also thought that maybe at some point within the two weeks that the chiefs were preparing for the game. They might have said okay. How are we going to go about. Playing football without are two. Starting offensive tackles against tampa bay. And i guess andy. Reid was like no worries. Mike remers got it and just kind of blows my mind so like i said after the game they were expecting more man coverage. That's a whole separate conversation. We have data that said that like tampa bay gonna play zone coverage if you remember the week twelve game they were destroyed by man coverage there no doubt that they were going to see a lot of zone coverage but the offensive line stuff. Man is unforgivable. And the fact that the chiefs didn't have a counterpuncher anything that tampa bay through at them. It didn't even feel like it was remotely close to the kansas city. Offense that we've seen for the last three seasons. It was horrible and it was embarrassing for andy reid and his entire staff It's it's it's terrible. And now they know look into city has a lot in place already for twenty. Twenty one homes ain't going anywhere. We're isn't going anywhere. Kelsey and tyreek aren't going anywhere They'll get back. Do vernay tardif at guard. Both the tackles will theoretically be healthy enough to play at least at some point early on in the season but they need to improve the depth of that offensive line and add talent to it along with adding maybe another. Pass rusher on defense to make quarterbacks uncomfortable that that's where we're headed. I think the offense will be fine but just really an embarrassing display by the chiefs offense in the game against tampa. Yeah the homes. First time he's lost by more than ten points first time he has not scored. His team has scored a touchdown in a game that he started since high school It did not happen in college. Had not happened in the pros And then yeah you re looking at the set for next year. We'll talk about this later. But the bucks have some key. Free agents okay. Shaq barrett played on the franchise. Tag chris godwin gronkowski for now they antonio brown. They got some key. Free agents The chiefs sammy watkins kief reagents. You know they're pretty much coming back intact. But i guess my question. You know al throw this secret is like you could say andy reid be enemy there at fault or whatever and the tyreek hill quote about expecting man coverage was damning considering the bizarre so much zone but ridiculous when you consider what i said. No quarterback had ever been pressured as many times as mahomes was last night and yet tampa. Bay blitzed five times. They sent more than four rushers. five times. I don't know that there's any game planning when you can do when you're five guys up front. Just got their butts kicked over and over and over again by four guys up front. I don't know maybe they just got that and you don't blame it on the coaching. You just tip your hat to To the bucks front four and and and the secondary obviously play. Great to chris. What's your take. It felt a little bit at least in the first half..

Obviously way made it ill advice turnover, But it's our turnovers leading the fast break points and leading the, uh you know, fast break opportunities in early offense for them. You know, our half court defense is not too bad. We just got to stop our mistakes on offense that lead to their opportunities to score. The zone helped us near the end of the half on Boo Boo. We made some shots on the run and hit a big three. So you know we're playing. We're playing hard. We just gotta play mistake. More mistake free. Yeah, Coach. I thought that changed to the zone was a great movie at three steals out of it, and I think it really threw them off. And then you hit the jumpers. But had I mean is it is it their quickness? You're you're not mentally. They're aggressive, their aggressive on the perimeter, Okay? And they try to deny every past and what they what they do. They get in. They get it. They try to fight over everything. Joe Joy in terms of dribble handoff, sir, screams. And if you don't if you don't work to get open if you don't post your man up and then break or be cut to an open area where we could throw you the ball, they're very active with their hands. And we're just making too many mistakes, and it goes up and down our entire roster, but about that, But you know the zone did help. Tide. Barry got a key steal Ryan Young got a key steel and then you know, we push the ball and we made some plays in the open court. All right, coach. Thanks very much. Good luck in the second half. All right. Thank you. That's Bryan James Wildcat assistant coach from State College halftime. The Wildcats trailing Penn State 38 33. "Both teams in division looking to hopefully not finish in the basement at five and nine. They have obviously a couple of games left here in this season, but today's game Charges may be looking for some revenge after early season lost the Broncos looking to sweep the Chargers, let's head out to the stadium and checking with voice. The Broncos Dave Logan. Dave has mentioned both teams or five and nine, obviously not the record. They were looking for at this point this season, but there's still a lot of things to be learned here. So I guess we're both coaching staffs. And you know the overall organizations. What are they hoping to take away? From this specific match up. Well, I think Ryan from the Broncos perspective, they're just trying to find a way to win a game and then moved to the next week. And when the last game which would be against the Raiders, I mean winning games at this level is you know is is really Ultimately what it's all about. You want to develop young players. You want to play better football. You want to be more efficient. All those things are true. But ultimately guys remain employed based on how many games they've won. And neither of these two teams has won enough games this year. Certainly for their head coaches perspective, But when you look at the upcoming game, I think what strikes me is how many guys they're gonna be out of action today when the Broncos are gonna be without Phillip Lindsay and Bradley Chubb. The charges are gonna be without Chen and will sue and Joey Bosa. There's 12 sacks between those two right there. Melvin Ingram obviously is out as well. So it's zbig of a mash unit for both of these teams. As we say, Good afternoon and welcome to empower Field of Mile high Dave Logan recluse. We're here with the entire crew getting ready to broadcast the game that will be played a little bit later this afternoon in Los Angeles. And Rick, This is a game really that if you said, Hey, what do you hope? Other than finding a way to win the game? What do you hope the Broncos can accomplish? Today, I would think it would be drew lock being efficient, not turning the ball over and and leading his team to scores, which in the red Zone in terms of their efficiency. The last couple of weeks, they've been much, much better. You know, they've been a lot better, Dave. In fact, the last seven times they've been in the red zone. They've scored touchdowns, so they've showed great improvement in that category. And you're absolutely right. With two games to go. I think it all comes down to you want to win, of course, But you want to see your quarterback drew lock continue to make progress in mature. As the National Football League quarterback. We've seen flashes. We've seen some brilliance and we've seen a lot of mistakes in a lot of lot of bad throws his well things that he's gonna have to clean up, but I think If you go back to that Miami Dolphins game, it felt like he He turned the corner in that game, and I believe he's played much better since that game. Against the Dolphins. Then he did early in the season s O. You want to see LA continue to to get better, and he said this week that he thinks he's the guy moving forward, But I think as far as fans or concerned, he's still got something to prove. No question about that. The Broncos have won three in a row against the Chargers, 14. Of the past 18. As I mentioned, Phillip Lindsay will not be playing today. He's on IR with the knee and ankle issues, and I think those issues have really played Phillip Lindsay much of the year, but Melvin Gordon, of course, returns to the scene of the crime, so to speak. Former Los Angeles charges player who has put together a very solid season here in Denver. Yeah, Dave, he's on track to maybe have his best year in the NFL. Hey, hey, could very well do that with a couple of good games here to finish And you know that he's gonna be very motivated today to play against his former team, a team he played for for five years. They were willing to let him go because they love Boston, Eh color They didn't want to pay him. The Broncos did. And Melvin Gordon's having himself a really good year, and he's really come on as well. The last half of the season. He breaks a lot of tackles. He's a tough guy to bring down and he scores touchdowns. He's got eight touchdowns rushing the ball already this season. So we will see a lot of Melvin Gordon. Today. One would think again without Phillip Lindsay Royce Freeman is active. They've also activated Levante Bellamy, the rookie running back out of western Michigan. It'll be the Broncos and the charges coming up in a couple of hours. In the meantime, we'll take a look back at this year's first meeting between the Broncos and the charges. That was an exciting finish for sure. And it's next on the K O. A Broncos radio network. That.

"Have to stop the other team, and to me, the heart and soul of both teams is their ability to get a stop. You know you can score as many points as you want. It wasn't a lot of point score last night, if you compare them to the, the four previous games, but defensively you have to have your guys in sync to get a stop at that stage of the game. And the warriors were able to score. And that to me was the deciding factor of the game. It wasn't about what I was doing offensively. You know that last possession for the Toronto Raptors to me was a that was a that was a great defensive sequence. Because you looked at the warriors. The warriors did they guard Kawai with three players. They had Klay on them. Then they bring Andre dollar at a very unique angle doesn't on is guarding three people. On the other side. You know, he's, he's guarding vanfleet. He's guarding Marcus. Oh in gets out and recovers. He even block the shot on Lowery. I lower. So you know that they what they were doing. They say we have to get a stop in order to win this game. And I think the rafters were doing the same we can focus in on the offense of in. But defensively look if you haven't chance to win at a championship level. You have to stop the other team at some point, and they weren't able to do. And when I say the Toronto Raptors weren't able to do it, they just needed one stop. That's all they needed was one stop last night. They win the game but overall you know they had a chance to win it. If you'd say, hey, we got a chance to win it with one shot at the end, I'm going to take those chances in last night. They didn't make that shot. So here we are going to game six EJ Armstrong here on the rich Eisen show. Do you think Durant should have played last night? I have such mixed emotions. But the, the answer is no. You know, I've I've dealt with this many times as a as an agent. I dealt with it as a player myself. I've had six surgeries playing, and if I could tell my if I could go back in time until my younger self, I probably wouldn't have played because there was there's two sides to every every. Athlete. You know there's the player that wants to play. That's, that's a warrior wants to go out there. And then there's the person and looking back on. You know, I had like four or five surgeries where I know I probably shouldn't have come back to play looking back on now is a fifty fifty one year old man. But back, then I wanted to play I wanted to be part of the team, Kevin Durant. You know, I wish and I'm sure he did. I'm praying sure he reach could have reached out to former players or people who've been in a situation. My answer Tim. No, he shouldn't have played. There's too much at risk in what I mean by too much risk is this young man, I knew I wanted to get out there and be in a place where we all dream a plan. We wanna play in the NBA finals. We wanna play for championship. But you have to respect the game itself. And the game is you don't just take a month off, and then come back and play in the finals, right? There's no way for you to get your conditioning. There's no way to get the reaction but more importantly like your body. That's why we have a month of training camp to get ready. For the season, you just don't take a month off, and especially when it's a lower extremity injury. And then all of a sudden come out there and be ready to play at the level that that game was being played at. But again that was his call. And you know I had a player that I represented that I represent currently still is a dear grows. And those were some of the most difficult conversations that I've had because you're dealing with human nature, the part the de ROS character wanted to play, but dared roles I had to talk to bear Grylls because dared roles is the person that has to live with this decision for the rest of his life. And that's always tough because the player sometime is the most dominant of the personalities. And I just felt awful for Kevin Durant because you knew in his heart of heart that he wanted to play. He wanted to contribute. He wanted to be there, but at the same time the respect that you have to give this game and these athletes in what's. You have to really prepare yourself for.

"But again, it's the same for both teams. But we saw the cubs really use it to their advantage. I think I think they playing there as much obviously their home games there gives the the home team advantage. I get doesn't any park. They understand the conditions especially on the mount how to use those conditions to your advantage. We saw that was good thing that resident play last night. No doubt. So I'm assuming there at the same hotel. And I do remember telling you cap that I didn't have the best night to sleep. When once it was brought up so much. I guess it is something to monitor if he's back as tight what are they doing to deal with it at this. I can't say the hotel, obviously in Cincinnati. "Possession for both teams. And honestly, I didn't feel that way until I had to empty feeling in my stomach after this past game. And it's I think everybody in America wanted to see Patrick Mahomes, go out there and try and be a legend. And when we talk about Patrick Mahomes this year, we all know this special season he had, but we were wondering how great he was going to be this year and for someone to me was really in his rookie year. Even though we had last year, but his first real year playing. He was unbelievable. Just take me through how he was able to get it done not only on the field. But also command the respect of that locker. I mean, he had the respected locker the minute. He got there. His his father was a ball player. So he grew up in a in a locker room in the sport athlete type mind frame. And sure enough he can relate to everyone plays with a whole lot of passionate a whole lot of fire, and you can only respect that as a team. You know, you wanna play with a guy that has that kind of command and that company that kind of confidence and who he is. Is on the field. And sure enough I think you hit it right on the head. He's just being kind of his rookie year. What do you what he was able to do is phenomenon? I'm there. I don't think the NFL has seen something quite like this or at least not in a long time. The crazy part is how we extend the plays. And then we all fall in love with the no look passes. What was the first time that you realize he could throw a no look pass. I mean, I still get hit in the head every now and then running around thinking he's gonna throw it some other way in practice. Luckily, it hasn't happened in the game. But he's hit his ability to create. I mean, he's a very creative guy. And he's confident in how he plays. He's got that kind of artistic ability to make things happen. And shared off. Just just always mentally being aware that you know, he's not even looking at me, but I can still get this passed. It's something that you really gotta concentrate on when you take a look as we're talking to Travis Kelsey.

"Right. Yeah. I would. But that's just my opinion. I think overtime needs a change in the NFL. What do you think? Yes. I'm for it. But if it doesn't it doesn't I'm not gonna say at least change in playoffs. Absolutely. Like, at least the elimination games. Yeah. Of course, do you wanna see a Super Bowl? And we're one team gets the ball over ten minutes. Doesn't get the ball catechin imagine that actually happening. Imagine a Super Bowl ending with both teams getting the ball one quarterback trying to outdo the other that would change fifty one. That would be awesome, wouldn't it? So for if we use your theory for the only overtime game in Super Bowl history was thousands and patriots couple years ago James wide scores that touchdown games on over yet. Give the ball. I don't remember was that the first position I was the first possession. Gotcha. Matt Ryan never got the ball in overtime. So you give my Ryan the ball this in this alternate. Time line. Do you see them scoring on that possession because? Yeah, you're was twenty eight to three they did let twenty-five they did let twenty five eight hundred. So they were not looking momentum is very good. I know they were close in couching AMI that's questionable past when you're in field goal range this like in that would seal the game. But who knows what would happen? If my Ryan got that ball Julio Jones is on a tear at that time were knowing because Bill stop him. Yeah. Who knows what happens? But then those questions are lifting answered when you just change it true. I don't know, man. And over time has it right now. Should it be should they move back a little bit probably twenty yard? But at least they have the idea. Right. Like, yeah. In terms of fairness, it doesn't get more fair than that. Right. We'll both games getting opportunity. Absolutely. And you know what? Jeff if you want to end the game in overtime on your first possession. You have that rain, and I'm gonna go for two and India right there, you have that. Right. But I get it. Also, the fact that she's fans they would petro the ball. Well, I like I said before he had the chance the defense is can stuff on third down four times. It's four times you could stop them on third down. You let them get first downs. And they were not like third in two thirty one. They were like thirty eight thirty nine thirty ten and so on.
