Boston Red Sox trade Benintendi to Kansas City Royals in three-team deal that includes New York Mets

"We did have a A trade godown wasn't a blockbuster. But i think certainly noteworthy is that. The red sox have been shopping. Andrew benintendi for quite a while. Now and i didn't understand why this guy was a top ten pick by the red sox not that long ago but here are the details in this three way trade between boston. The mets and kansas city. The red sox receive outfielder slash d. H. franci cordeiro Right handed pitcher josh win. Chaussee three players to be named later one from the mets to from the royals. The royals get outfielder. Andrew benintendi and the mets received outfielder khalil. ali now benintendi. As soon as he showed up last year he got hurt and he was offered a year. He only played like two weeks and batted one. Oh three he had a strained ribcage but coming into last season he was a career. Two seventy seven hitter and averages about eighteen home runs a game and he's due to make six point six million this year in his second. Rv'er so he has Another year. Sorry i know he has another two years after that. So i argue but the royals will now put benintendi in left field every day because if you think about with mary field i guess he's an outfielder our second baseman so a combination of him. Edward olive arison. Michael eight taylor. But the red sox for their part we'll get cordeiro which is a mix of alex dugo number. How highly regarded wasn't a dodger system. "There is more activity coming out of boston as well. They are rumored to be interested in several free agents and buster olney. espn's buster only reported that quote. The red sox have talked a ton of possibilities are preparing for a series of moves before the start of spring training and quote so move. Benintendi isn't the only move. That's on the mind for the red sox There's a couple of other names here. That have been linked right hander. Jayco dharavi starting pitcher. He he's up and down when it comes to his career. He was in minnesota for some time then down to texas but professional arm to come in and give them quality innings veteran relief pitcher. Alex colom formerly of the white sox in his point eight. Era from twenty twenty now. There are some concerns when you dive in a bit. Deeper into sabermetrics there is a dip in velocity and hard hit contact has increased. But you know it is a results oriented. Sport and alex colom was still fantastic for a the white sox this past summer. You have former cy. Young winner corey kluber pitching for teams on wednesday january thirteenth. So you guys may know how that workout went by the time. You're listening to this He's gonna throw about twenty five thirty pitches and it seems to be about two thirds of major league. Baseball teams will be in attendance. So the main goal is to show teams. He's healthy show. Teams that velocity is still there because he's basically missed. The entirety of the last two seasons with multiple injuries forearm torn right Throwing muscle a lot of different things going on with kluber but he could be a perfect. You know bowe bilo free agent option for not only boston but a couple of other different teams out there and the last guy the red sox have been tagged to is actually outfielder yasuko week. You know puig's been in and out of baseball and could find himself as a cheap option out there in the outfield for boston and a lot of people don't like i actually don't mind him. You know that's not a bad one to there are a lot of teams out there that have a worse one to than that, and then you have Nathan involved. That sort of three guy we all know huge has never really. Put it together that injuries doesn't be issues you know Martinez kind of innings eater, and then kind of roll the dice at number five. But again, that's a potentially possible rotation. The sale with Tommy John, and now who knows when Rodriguez who's GonNa Pitch Because Code and? Then he I guess he. Has had some lingering extra matt so it might be. I mean weeks in the season before they get him. So now it's Baldy Ball Team Perez, and then Ryan Weber at number three and. Was a minor league signing last year. He's never made an opening day roster a ten years into a career like. Even if you figure Ryan Weber is maybe a nice little find writing to you know. Finesse pitcher. You know maybe it's been sort of laying guy got kinda underrated and and Kinda trapped within Minor League Baseball for years and you just need to chant great but he's your number three. And you won the world carry two years ago like that's. An and they don't even have a for inside right now is. One, but if an opener in one bond and they told us that. They depending how things go they'd like to more traditional starter, the number five spot but. I mean the options? So that are like. That Godly Dylan Covey Brian Johns like it or not A. Either you know sort of stock star types You know maybe it works I mean maybe in a sixty eight season, you can be as your way it and lean heavily on all those extra arms in the bullpen. And actually does look pretty good You know I'm not sold on Brandon Workman at an elite closer, but he was in the League reliever last year and Matt Barnes is really good Then they have sort of a bunch of those guys but. Maybe. Maybe you can piece together over sixty games but but man it it. It's hard to imagine that right now with the way that you know you now look at. The each starting pitching is you know where you're used to I, mean book from the the Yankees Garrett Cole right and now this is the rotation the red sox are out if it's GonNa be it's GonNa be tough to imagine how Jackie they can make that work. Yeah and even like you said with sale if he didn't need surgery this year, it was still going to be big questions. So that kind of goes you know that that I think brings up the question and fairly what what is the red sox plan for the next few years because it doesn't seem like they're really. Ready to compete, but they also have a ton of talent and a ton of payroll. Yeah and I think that it seems to me.

Yeah I mean I mean I guess we did. He said he would buy a case. Take it home what am I. What about? Just the drunk drunk factor like we're not we're consuming forty six year they'll insane but what about just the intoxication. But eventually you start up your immunity. I played basketball. I don't think I've told this story but I played basketball at the knights of Columbus For years with old guys all basketball. The walls padded. It was a small gym and you could slamming the walls which kept us all from getting hurt. Anyway was fun and played for years could run played with a guy. I've never seen this before. Played a lot of pickup. eskimo a lot replaces drank the entire time. We all had a bottle of water on the side of the court. He had a beer and he would show up with beer and drink beer the whole time he kinda go on a no no. It's not hard to move this hard core alcoholic. He got he got up in the morning. He cracks first beer. Ten Am ranked Thirty Beers a day. That's that's normany owned a liquor store so he knew when he got a disk. Wholesome opened the store at ten? Grab the thirty. But he wasn't a bad player and he you know he could play but he didn't know what it was like to be sober because he track all day every day. That's probably the way it's EPA Keti that's right. That's that's a life of candidates right if you read about Ted Kennedy and Patches Kennedy Down The Cape they they didn't spend a Lotta time sober. That's how it works at the time but anyway let's get some. Let's get to this story. The other big story of the week we have the the acquittal. "As the manager of the Boston Red Sox I know the national just won the last World Series but before that it was the red Sox and the Houston Astros if I would have told you I don't know three months ago or I guess before that let's say a year ago before the start of this baseball season by the time that you start the next season so let's say if I told the first week of the season last year in March and April by the start of next season Dave Dombrowski would be out and he got fired for the way that he was run the red Sox Alex kor would be out Jeff Luna would be out and then also AJ hand should be out you would have never believed me in a million years you're talking about a manager who is well respected AJ hedge a guy that we were talking about statues being billed for and Houston which Jeff flew now and then with the red Sox they were coming off a historical season with them browse ski and Alex Cora was their rookie manager who won a World Series and now all four guys are out three of them because of this cheating scandal now let me be clear with de uno and with the AJ hand situation crane thought that was the best decision was to move on from that and who knows a behind the scenes and I thought the punishment was significant enough but who knows a behind the scenes rob Manfred went to crane and said Hey this is what we're going to do as long as you agree to dismiss both aluno and also hands and will even make you look a little bit better to save some face publicly and we won't go to a more severe penalty maybe that was the gentleman's handshake behind the scenes that got the job done so I can't say I was shocked that hinge and also aluno after giving it more thought in the moment it was shocking but when I woke up today it's really all that not surprising however you could also say maybe they should have waited and maybe they should have just let this die down hit the suspension you serve the time and then you get back in the sport look at we do the same now the saints got it was John paid it out for a year Mickey Loomis was out for eight games Greg Williams was suspended indefinitely and local I was jobs right now Sean Payton's respected as one of and it is viewed as one of the more respected coaches in the league Greg Williams almost so it was making a case for the Cleveland Browns job as their head coach now with the jets and Mickey Loomis is still with the New Orleans Saints so they all survived that scandal so the Astros could have said it we're gonna take the punishment we're gonna take the beating nationally and then we'll wait a year they'll come back to will be a story then I'll go back to business as usual but they thought they could do that now more than fine with that moving on from one no and a more than fine but then moving on from AJ Hinch so really what I was thinking about this today you expected Cora because the way that they release this news yesterday it looked like coral and the players were the ones that orchestrated this whole scheme and this whole scandal so you know Alex Cora was going to get hit with the severe punishment and we have bred the John all right at the top of the hour forty five minutes ago and he thought that would be a two year suspension for Alex Cora and the red Sox will move on from him she got a field today and even a feel late last night that this day was coming that the red Sox are going to move on but the red Sox wanted to look good here and the red Sox wanted to do so before the punishment was handed down by the MLB and once again this is a statement that the red Sox released the red Sox today issued the following statement on behalf of principal owner John Henry chairman Tom Werner CEO Sam candidate Alex Cora today we met to discuss the commissioner's report related to the Houston Astros investigation given the findings and the commissioner's ruling we collectively decided that it would not be possible for Alex to effectively lead the club going forward and we mutually agreed to part ways Henry Warner and Kennedy added this is a sad day for us Alex is a special person and a beloved member of the red Sox we are grateful for his impact on our franchise man they're really going out of their way here to have a smooches Mucci time out with Alex Cora I this is I is this firing or is this a love note here we will miss his passion his energy and a significant contributions to the communities of New England and Porter Rico added so here's the chorus statement I want to thank John Tom Sam the players are coaching staff and the entire red Sox organization I especially want to thank my family for their love and support we agreed today the parting ways was the best thing for the organization I do not want to be a distraction to the red Sox as they move forward my two years as manager were the best years of my life it was an honor to manage these teams and help bring a World Series championship back to Boston I will be forever be indebted to the organization and the fans who supported me as a player manager and my efforts to help Porto Rico this is a special place there's nothing like it in all of baseball and I'll miss it dearly so you get the classy explanation and the class C. R. goodbye from one Alex Cora that's the little one thing about Hanjin Cora they knew how to play this publicly in their statement Jeff Luna on the other hand do the complete opposite where he's strong corps under the bus he's throwing the players under the boss and he's throwing others in the organization under the bus as well you could tell hench Angkor are thinking about their future and they may never manage again in baseball could they may be one they manage a team thank you bye bring enhancer or core I'll put myself in the best position to win a World Series they may and they may not care about what others think about that they may not but for Jeff you know I don't think he helped himself out yesterday let's be real none of these three guys help themselves out in the big picture because that was the case you wouldn't have participated or you would have stopped the entire situation that was going on so I don't know if they're going to get a spot in baseball again right now and also the other dynamic to is you have managers that are less value now and presidents that are more value so good because of that is it because of the fact that how now I'm not saying insignificant but how we undervalue the manager now is that also working against henshin Cora in addition to these allegations and what has happened and what the findings have been put out from yesterday so maybe that works against them just what the odds okay why bring in someone when we think it's the president really runs the team that has all this baggage and then for Lou now do you want to bring in a president who has all this attached to him even though he's extremely successful and extremely intelligent to appoint and you also have to look at a two if I'm running a business even though they all three of them have had success do you want to bring in lieu no and you want to bring in hench who turns a blind eye to this interest matching televisions but didn't have the courage to tell his team to knock it off and one okay tell you didn't know about this E. every everything that goes on an organization to the present baseball organization you're responsible for eventually had to know about this I needs buying the that he didn't know about this card so that's the red Sox that's the Astros and then you get into a fascinating conversation at on the New York Mets because I thought this over during the break is a lot of this it's I don't know it's a guessing game the Mets are taking to approach is right now they're either panicking behind the scenes and they're going to fire the manager or the New York Mets are going to wait play the patient's game and say it will Carlos did he owned up to it he cooperated with the investigation they are not punishing him because he was a player and we're going to stick by our manager move forward and hope Carlos learns from this situation those are the two options with the Mets and for the Mets right now their silence can be two things like I said either playing out the waiting game or thinking how they're going to plan this exit strategy to fire manager and maybe doing their due diligence on who they would bring in so close to the season it is a bad looked all right now I know that the players are getting all fear I know they're not going to suspend the players and therefore Beltran's not going to get suspended but Beltran went from a player at the end of his career to now a manager and even though players are getting suspended you do hold managers you do hold executives to higher regard and I wonder what baseball's going to stay behind the scenes the mats and I wonder what the Mets are saying behind the scenes right now eight five five two one two for CBS eight five five two one two forty two twenty seven Doug listening on radio dot com in San Jose California he's next up was that killed on CBS sports radio what's happening dog how you doing I'm doing great what you got eight I'm originally from Boston so Alex Cora this you don't try hard because now it puts forty eight thank you I joined a plane right yeah now it makes up that it's all related back to the to the cheating scandal those wins in and all those numbers what you think about it or twenty seventeen let's just say he definitely brought it to Boston and and you hear all the situation you don't know what to extent by you here the way that he's being implicated and people are talking about him behind the scenes even yesterday will know who was caught red handed to he tried to put all the blame on Cora and all the blame on the players as well and even hench at first he's not okay with it Heming Cora body body he's a player's manager too and he didn't do enough to stop it when you don't want to seven point five in Wisconsin next up on CBS sports radio when go ahead I don't think I don't think hinge wanted anything to do with it here massive TV he got rid of it he wanted nothing to do with it I think of all the players and car out what do you think well you're the manager of the team you're in charge of Alex Cora you're in charge of the players and I appreciate the phone call we're up against it but if you have control that locker room if you really didn't want to going on you could have stopped it and I do believe AJ hence to some point is contrite and if he got in the way of his relationships and even though if he didn't start it he allowed this to keep on going he knew about this and he didn't put his foot down and say this is over he thought just smashing two monitors would have been enough Hey let me smash two monitors and that message would resume the locker room with the players and with Alex Cora that didn't intimidate them that did it and this is the situation right now where he could have done more and he didn't do so Hey crane said yesterday neither of them started this with blue no and also AJ Hinch but they didn't put an end to it and as a manager in a president ignorance is inexcusable when we come back former big league pitcher Nelson Figueroa is going to join us we'll get all of his reactions to Alex for being out what happened with the Astros.

"Means he's got to go over the skis hispaniola understand what you're saying by typically you mean that's usually the only thing say say that frequently i've never heard you say that we've spent hundreds of hours talking go on the air every single time we're on the show i say something that you haven't heard me say before no but this is particularly not top level unusual i think you've heard it before i will tell you i think you're trying trying to make something out of nothing not not anything of anything i've never heard i wish he had one for that well you're making dear me uh-huh you're making you're making chicken salad the chicken shit we've heard that one okay i got some mixed feedback back on the mental oscar shirts really people actually liked him i was getting my bearings i can't at my portrayed enough true i feel glasses a phone off i'm like the people are going that they almost have to buy shirt hate me an asshole boy i think they have to stick your for your shirt as well tickets will reasonably priced i would say absolutely okay file making spend dollars gasoline asinine hoodie both sherman hat and a hat yeah just a month away just a month a month away a month we'll be there right right yes seventh is that from your role in your getting in that friday right i'll be there probably saturday i would say at some point yeah played saturday i'd i'd say saturday night live back after the show yeah some people i don't know why i actually liked it yeah i thought they were good i thought they're funny there's a different style of you can't win the white people didn't like the white maybe i love white yeah that's my favorite color is only taylor led the joke again the only care about his white that's it well it's a superior supreme you want me to say yeah i don't know why in the past we've done these other ones where they say about your t shirt with the black one really didn't like it but it's the most telling shirt and the people spoken to say about that maybe what else we got steve bernard sound oh we have nobody did jerry lewis song no no oh daddy was apparently i wanted to hear one of those today so so the other sports station in town and i i just find this this this stuff interesting i don't listen to sports talk radio much obviously anymore but some flipping around randomly and michael felder shows azariah popular shown boston if you're not from you should really popular number one for eight years and it's a contrarian based show where they're just to be contrarian they say the patriots the he ended up i mean right now is now saying that years ago this is the end is near always looking for the negative people complain but yet they listen like he can't it works because they're really good at the strategic pauses is-is bear good at that they are they had this guy greg bavard on today who writes for he runs a boston sports journal is that what's called subscription service here so he said something with them today when i listened to it actually sat up and said this is actually complete used steve or not this is completely made up of whole cloth i think he kind of covers himself in a few instances where he's like well this is just my theory and this is how i think you pisa report yeah that's the talking you know i think it was a play on god's will piss me off good i have a theory well good that's that's a bill you know see those nothing that's not even the badara i'm talking about your whispering now let's before that before that bavard says when bernard says that he but basically you forget it now what the fuck was confused is not but dr that's miserotti telling a story about bella check that wasn't ours is several several league sources have told him you'll have that clip no i do not know why.

"First on boston public radio it stays i turn to the war guy so i think this is one of ours before hearing his voice how you doing this morning good thanks so so i'm a firm believer that this omani killing is gonna get us on the fast track to world war three and my biggest concern when all this happens is once our troops let's get over there what are we going to do when the troops start murdering their black brothers in arms because they're white supremacy matt thank you the one i put my hat down because i think that's a great call my question is does he put put two and two together i think so he was pretty dismissive yeah he's not stupid but does he does he realize that he's basically saying my concern is that the concern training express oh i think yeah i think he's yes why can't they just ashtray about it and be done with it i know i don't know why is it that way it's great for us if you think about this one little segment of boston public radio we've gotten so so much out of because they're just complete fucking idiot she's just anytime she tweets anything there's fifty million a things tweeden yes yes she's gonna liat buried in the silence you know what her taping schedule is does she frequently tape that segment i have no idea because i wouldn't be surprised if she was all and low in like only little blackout mode here the fans i suspect aren't gonna stop 'em in the fans have had little rejuvenation to the portnoy thing i think i gave them kick in the ass so i think they are saying time get time timing it to work and emily rooney also looks like an asshole because she tweeted to she's grieving she said she said the patients when given marjorie are back they'll address this why was she i mean i know she's not no genius but why would you think that ever do that there's no proof in their hair all covering for each other sue trainees rennies marjorie emily they're all just why wouldn't you just say hey trendy you know the army re released this statement or this report you know what do you think she can always say even say hello if you disagree if you think we're assholes in this thing silly the you know and put this picture of me that's obviously a joke not a context and and you know what i'm not sure you know why why wouldn't the why do we not know the army's just not covering their ass what did you say that because she doesn't believe in anything she said i guess i don't know he's not confident enough in any of her argued there all also paper arguments tissue paper i guess jesus i don't know what the hell was that noise next door lock in churches little rock it yeah yeah like eight thirty church it's brian time hell tend to get on a knees start pleasing jesus yeah so so yes so good brownie so aftermath call yeah they take another call they'd take one fucking it was an iranian woman i guess good good and they let her phone marjorie out he's co hosting the show now and then they take maybe one or two other calls and steve texts i was like hey did they say what time is he goes out should be fifteen minutes but trainees not we're like looking for trent because now our goal is to get her on the way out so we're trying to see what door where she came in and everything so what is your is your let's just say she walked in through a door with is your move then we're going to go out side you know the first movie was is that her hogging the annoying intern yes god what a fucking grew so we're going to go outside and i've got ready to go the leader of that group oh yeah okay i'm sort of the fine private ryan i mean captain miller very dirty mike and the boys got ready to go one of them on my twitter one of them on the show twitter okay so that there's no chance of a bad phone or something fucking up and but then all of a sudden jim brodie stands zipping goes and gang i can really hear them but he said something to the effect of our next segment is prerecorded okay and of course the course of oh don't know tried he's not gonna i be here of course it was dead silent no i'm kidding no-one no-one acknowledged he said that though jim brightest our next thing is prerecorded paul all i can think announced everyone was fairly objective and then i'm like what am i i don't understand what i'm hearing because i couldn't quite hear what he said all of a sudden i just hear twenty talking i'm like she's she's here.

only do realized what the hell cast really got math from providence okay do mixing it up a little bit timid can't okay we'll see him in a while oil and then some newbies that say they want to argue with me how many times you were mike say mike in minute fans iced coffee disagree with me and they don't wanna come on they claim they want what time it now nine o'clock on a sunday we fry it was some of the newbies the guy who said you can really care for matt that's going to be producing oh he's back singer redemption care for them so they always had his hand on his chin things like that bothered oh i'm sorry yes yes back go thank god and then i forget i forget forget the name it's always you know right kirks PK DJ right right right honestly i thought was shaved beard patrick show and oh maybe a mike and the mad offense for matter wasco friday night oh that's a good idea yeah that's a good idea like a live one yeah peeps where the the bar or something or we're going to see justin suggestion and i said is he gonna be there if you odds are it's gonna be my hotel but has figure it out right you can figured i will do it where she's staying he thinks indicate you with me i'm saying mike mike you're staying there as well that's why why couldn't ask you that question so you're the innovate art yeah so many fans will be there yes no excellent good not that far away hotel in matter wasco that weekend there's a chance that there's going to be many fans there pretty much i'm aware really yeah i'm very well aware of trust me i think about that a lot going for your run this morning all right just say i'm a no go ahead i don't want at the but they this is what they want this with these people want they want us to talk about them okay oh yeah it's like i i i'll i'll do briefly what's up to you i'll do briefly so when you mojo later did you close now mojer yourself yes one hundred percent rich kelleher e mail them and said something about advertising on our i show that was four months ago okay so not in any way related to him no okay so this thing that somebody sent me anyway he he annoy said he said emailed emailed mojo and said hey you should advertise kirkman hand show i love the show and the guy from out mojo reach out to means that hey got this email from rich kelleher like i was like yeah he's a fan of the show like i'm happy to work on advocate i'm not really sure that translates sounds like a cool sixteen hundred does the commission so i mean i get to the point with people where when you ignore them long enough and i'll just briefly they just essentially begin the light themselves on fire yeah and that's what's going on with him with AJ honestly yeah which i i actually reach out to AJ because she she tweeted that during this she said jeez the guys having donated to this foundation either when we had her on i guess we said we would i don't remember i think we're talking about yeah we were organizing the murchison event but then he went away and so i think we kinda backed away actually message that this morning when i saw this and said hey you know not not unfair criticism you did say i didn't look into the charity yeah i said you're not unfair criticism you know if you wanna talk about this whatever and we'll do that but i also think frankly and i think i said this is my message to her pretty shitty just go on there and do that like she never again that's your way of like trying to get pinging congratulations we're talking to you for ninety seconds someone who for another six months like you've got this great go listen to it and get excited and message each other and have your day but i think it's a really low shitty thing to do honestly it makes us look bad and purposely try to make us look bad when that is not the case at all i'll be sitting in that particular charity in my life was my number one priority for the last four months other other things go on and you forget and then she could just text me or mike or you stevenson hey just a heads up first of all i did donate to it or hey here's some things i've done to advance the plan hey guys we're talking about has she done anything probably not and so it's sort of asked me what i would have said is i hold on i'll ask him maybe doesn't want to do maybe looked into it i don't i have no idea but hold uh-huh i mean i'll man i just flat forgot about it i did this fifty other things going on and she'd said just she'd text us and said hey what's going on with this and i don't mean to be you know my telling you what what to do with your money laundering excited about this which i totally understand and i respect that and i'd be happy to do it now i am hesitant to do it which i hate to do because i don't wanna hurt the charity but it's it's kinda like you're making a trying to purposely make hassles which is a shitty thing to do i mean i don't you know i don't know maybe i'm overreacting to piss me off shit like that just pisses me off because it's me it's my brand it's me trying to cook an asshole cal this the the what's his face is trying to make look like steve stealing from him and just trying to make it look like where it's like what the fuck can we steal from the fans we do it collided we do it from all we celebrate yes i don't this idea that you know what we just used AJ will not donate eight dump charity so stupid it's insulting and like fuck off nicely you know go do your videos and dancing around the shower and leave me alone i it's like i i have no patience it's i i've told AJ's very nice and i think she just get too excited or to whatever but what i would have told her is kind of similar told her all the time sleigh sleighload calmed down lay low not everyone needs a reaction from kirkman hand every fucking day i mean now you now you're just gonna get you've only doug yourself i mean i'm happy to help with the charity but like personally willing doug yourself openly just leave me alone on you're going to do that i would never do that to her i think it was just a natural thing where after that happened bob went away it wasn't so much for in the four i i happened we had all these shows every day and again if we that's on me for not remembering i totally cop remind me for christ's i'm almost almost more annoyed by the AJ think keller is going to be i totally AJ is kind of friendly easily reached out and right now she's dawn insulator honestly go away he's supposed to come out of wasco fuck off i was disappointed by that many patients for that should i don't like what people quick assholes like that we can do our own it'd be assholes plenty of times it's not one of them what a certain gentleman is due for a commission whether it's really started i guess certain great sales ashort twenty bucks stickers for him yeah i mean this idea that it's very expensive came on the show five times like any money go to help the show will help the show that was my problem isn't it every time it came on air wants to take it to a court of law on air you said you're okay with doing this for no commissioning said yes right and email us about advertise all the time all the time i get all the time dozens and dozens a week and some of them tout's of them don't and no one has ever doing a twitter video saying that's the that money's mine come on fuck giving what they want right now yeah congratulations you get two minutes of it and now just go away all of us going going going a little pity parties and do whatever you want make your videos no one's gonna pay attention to which is not even the punishment if if you hate us and you don't like the show we're assholes also then you're you're free you're golden ratio anymore i don't get that either like i i am i obviously am hyper sensitive and critical of love to the show to criticism of the show i totally understand that jerry and i talked about today it's my show it's my professional life i take it very seriously i think it's the best podcast in the world but people have criticisms that's okay even today i see you go you in the night show again that means a show is going to be only what two and a half hours and part of me wants to say fuck you oh no but then i try and rationally think wolf they think that they must really like the show because you wouldn't hate the show if you're thinking well why isn't it i wish four hours there's a lot of times where people give me like the mile here's why here's what you learn with twitter is if you just respond and you're like well what do you mean that criticism fades away and all i meant was this listen yeah i went on that discourages my fault for like twenty minutes and i looked just a string of boy you know doing his fridge as shitty cheese they're doing the show at night oh the show is taped this morning oh i'm the drop i like trump's at four AM i hate that trump's a form which is okay yeah i was going to be fair to the discourse about a show our our source it's great you're going to get to some top me the way i am is i see it and it makes me fundamental it does and that's part of what makes me me i can't lie i tell you to stay out of it meant for you ah yes but it's also about me yes i mean it's courts about me so it'd be nice little rush when you dip in there and do a little ami why like also also does that you know no no so that's what you want because they don't even know of another show that has discord where the host is aware of it or involved i'm sure the million dollar thing is also for all the as my friend patrick pointed out to me is for the assholes there's that'll that'll donate just a friend of mine okay the assholes in there there's many more people let's get more lisa let's do that.

"I'm I mentioned just a moment ago that it this car did break the sound barrier and I I one thing that we should note here is that the sound barrier varies by by altitude and even by temperatures so you know when we're talking about the place that this vehicle broke the record I think it was the else to do something like and I'm I'm trying to remember this off the top of my head but it's like three thousand nine hundred feet above sea level so at sea level the sound barrier is something like seven hundred and sixty one miles per hour and it has to be fifty nine degrees Fahrenheit let's hope that help particular that is right so it it changes so if you go up to between I'm gonna give you a meters measurement here not feet I don't know why I'm doing that but eleven thousand to twenty thousand meters above sea level the speed it drops down to about six hundred and sixty miles per hour at negative seventy degrees Fahrenheit so the temperatures very greatly the the speeds very that's almost that that's almost a hundred miles per hour off when you get to a different different altitude so. specifically for this record you know at three thousand nine hundred feet above sea level when you know anti anti green piloted this vehicle is seven hundred and sixty three miles per hour he was breaking the speed or the yeah the sound barrier we'll be right back with more of the I heart radio original podcasts the fast track. the biggest names in sports radio this is why Travis the Dan Patrick show hi it's Colin towers your home for the Boston Red Sox the. boards nine eight blasted away now one ninety five point nine Aftab hi this is Peter Hussey from the next financial group on WGY every Saturday morning at five thirty Sunday evening at six PM give me a call at five one eight seven five six four four one one and let's see if we can help.

"Mean that was controversial. But if you if you haven't seen it if you see video of this. I think you're going to agree. It should have been called to now. Because it looked like that guy was going to catch it. I mean, he was high enough right on target to catch the ball and the fans hand comes over and kind of knocks his glove out of the way. So he doesn't catch it. So I guess at that point it would have been called a home run. So imagine the difference there with with Houston. I instead of a home run out. And the Boston Red Sox can can close at one. Oh, they lost by two by two by two. So baseball gets exciting this time of year. Okay. So actress cure nightly I remember her from I remember her from love, actually, as she was the blonde who married the guy and everybody thought the other guy was in love with the guy, but he was really in love with the girl that's Keira Knightley, and she's been in a bunch of other things that I'm sure you you've seen her in. But I thought this was interesting. She will not allow her daughter to watch Cinderella going to see you get last time. You were here. You're six months pregnant. I was you're cranky because you couldn't have Margaritas. Oh, yeah. So annoying. How old is she? Now. She's now three and a half, and she's banned from seeing certain children's movies, right? Yeah. What are they Cinderella? And it because you know, she she waits around for a rich guy to rescue don't rescue. Right. I'm quite annoyed about because I really like the phone but little mermaid. "The boston red sox for the yankees or for the phillies whoever it may be and these guys are thought of as assets and you don't want to put them in harm's way and and a lot of extra inning games in minor league baseball ends up doing that word hurts you for the next day because you don't have enough pitchers laughs because you had to use everybody that's the impetus for it yeah so so the the big thing that i think that fans will notice i think these extra they're going to be really exciting now it's gonna take some getting used to it i when you start the tenth inning and all of a sudden you say hey i get on the second base all that but i think it's going to bring more strategy into the game if the team you don't see a lot of sacrificing minor league baseball but maybe now that'll be the case and and you know maybe it gives you a reason to otherwise on tuesday night at ten thirty pm stick around when you would have gone home before but when you mentioned thirteen fourteen fifteen sixteen games i mean that's you know you're the pawsox right what's what's that well you know i think in this day and age people are just not willing to stick around as long as maybe they used to in the past and there's different reasons for that but a lot of it is if the game starts at seven o'clock by the time you get into the fourteen then it gets probably close to midnight and and we all have things to do the next day i had a co worker friend who was at that very very long game and she actually stuck it out until the end but her shift didn't start until late the next day i think one thing that this rule change does it probably solidifies that we're all time the the longest games back in nineteen eighty one will remain the longest game that ever gets played in baseball has especially in the minor leagues i don't think it'd be possible anymore are the major leagues looking at this to see if maybe it's something they should adopt.

"Are those of the boston red sox we understand the frustration of those who feel the opinions expressed or offensive and out of line at times we feel the same way seat that's not there's no precedent for that stuff now that object all you want man but that's your history your history filled with fact and the words have come out of the athletes who have worn your cities uniform and are black i don't know how much more proof you want in that like your cities history is bad well i think i began in part what happens is there's a lot of people who live in boston who aren't like that and so they hear that or a get upto article got you're my coins authority look like a loud who are like that and there are a lot who are and those are the people calling david price names in the bullpen and that's why it's worse for him to struggle in boston then it is for anybody else who's not black to struggle in boston like i object josh becky did not go through the same kind of stuff that david price as going and lackey sure lucky got some of it but the the starting point on the problem is you take your sports to seriously the next portion of the problem is that your sports i density the way that your sports teams play matters so much to you that it makes you emotional away that's a rational and is unfair and not kind to human beings what core white what when it's the black guy hit him with the racial stuff and the only reason i know that is because the black guys who played four your teams have told all of us it so it's the only reason i know it i haven't experienced that the only reason i know it is because of all carl crawford because of all the black guys who have told us how terrible it is to be a black athlete who struggling in boston i just don't like why would you deny that is what i'm saying why would you deny david price cc sabathia as adam jones's experience.
