"In 2001, former Boston police superintendent bob Hayden told the Boston Herald he crossed paths with bulger in the mid 1970s at a well-known gay and drag bar in Boston's bay village called shocks. In 1982, the owner of The Crown and anchor, staniford sorrentino, claimed bulger was a frequent overnight guest at the inn, and at his home, and that bulger was, quote, inclined toward violence, which I'd say is a gross understatement. She said she never told anyone because she was scared. Of what? I have no idea. But I suppose 40 years is enough time to not be scared of whatever it was anymore. Lee's claim is that she came across the body two days before Metcalf. Lee, who was only 9 years old at the time, said, my dog got excited about something. I heard a very strange noise. If you could imagine someone holding a string of pearls, I heard that sound. When I first read this, I had no idea what it meant. But all I could picture was someone clutching their pearls and saying, I do declare. Needless to say, I was very confused. Lee goes on. Quote, it wasn't until much later that I realized that the sound of someone playing with a pearl necklace was from maggots. Her body was covered with maggots. So, not someone saying I do declare. Noted. She also said quote, I believe there were a few people who found the body, but there is only one who spoke to the police in person about it. End quote. And this leads me to a pretty big question, which is, what was going on in provincetown in 1974 that whole groups of people were discovering a dead body and not telling anyone about it. Like, it's pretty simple. See a dead body reported to police. You can even do it anonymously. What in the actual fuck? Sandra, I wrote a book based on the lady of the dunes and also, by the way, I was the first to discover her body 40 years ago. Lee believes the lady of the dunes was likely an Irish immigrant who got swept up in trafficked by whitey bulger and the winter hill gang, which isn't all that unreasonable. It would explain why no one had come forward looking for her. If she had come over from Ireland or anywhere else for that matter, it's possible no one even knew she was missing. As for the expense of dental work, who knows? Maybe she was a mistress of one of the higher ups in the family and they paid to get her teeth fixed? That's plausible. And it could explain why not a single dentist came forward to say they'd treated her. My guess is when a mafioso comes in and hands you wads of cash for a job, you don't exactly keep a record of it. Nor do you go around telling anyone who asks, oh yeah, whitey bulger paid for her gold teeth. I suppose it's just a coincidence that Lee had published a novel called the shanty based on the famous mystery, two years before coming forward with the claim that she found the lady of the dunes first. Look, I'm not implying that Lee cooked up a story about being the first to stumble upon the body of the dead woman 40 years earlier as a ploy to sell more books. Who am I kidding? That is exactly what I'm implying. The lady of the dunes was exhumed yet again for a third time in 2013 in order to gather more samples for future testing. Nothing has come of that evidence either. And there it is. To this day, the identity of the woman and her killer are still a mystery. It is possible with advancement in DNA technology, the more clues could be extracted at the very least, possibly figuring out where the lady of the dunes came from. Maybe tracking down a family member who can help solve that part of the mystery. But current cape and islands district attorney Michael O'Keefe believes the chances of figuring out who she was and who killed her are remote. The more time that passes, the fewer contemporaries will be alive to interview. And given how many times the body was dug up and handled and the fact that she was embalmed, all make unraveling this mystery, even harder. And I have to say, as macabre as it may sound, it's a little sad to know that we live in a time where real mysteries are hard to come by. Advancements in technology and science are making our world and, as a result, our stories, less and less discreet. People can be tracked and traced step by step. Hands might be cut off, but digital fingerprints are forever. Don't get me wrong, I'm not celebrating the fact that this poor woman died without anyone ever knowing who she was, but like pushing on a loose tooth, there's something almost painfully satisfying about not being able to know the answer. This is getting really eerie now. No, it is amazing. These things are absolutely amazing. And it's amazing to me that God has chosen you to reveal these things because you're not making them up. You're just discovering what already exists. It's there. Eric, it's interesting because this is the only interview pretty much. And so he's doing that, by the way, since you mentioned that, you know, when 9 11 came, a shockwave came from 9 11, struck the foundation on which Washington gave that warning and broke cracked the foundation where America was federal home. That's federal hall. Yeah, happened right there. And so, and so the other thing is the other thing about Washington is that he led the nation. He led the first government from that place to a place to dedicate America to God. That is and that place where America was dedicated to God on that first day ends up being ground zero. And that is one of the biblical templates that it returns to the place. Well, on that place, you mentioned what that was. On that place, in that courtyard of St. Paul's chapel, was this tree, the sycamore, and the Bible won't go into all, but the Bible, and the harbinger warrants, it says, one of the things that happens in Israel's judgment, he says, the sycamore is struck down. So there was literally a sycamore ground zero struck down. That's what I saw. That's what started all. That's what I saw. Then it says, but the people say we will plant this other tree in its place strong we're coming back with a stronger tree. And so two years later, that tree appears the biblical trees called an arrow street appears in the ground. They have a ceremony, and that is that is another harbinger because they do exactly. They're not trying to do it. They're just doing it. And so unwittingly recreating this ancient history this template because so the sycamores knock down at St. Paul's. And people have visited St. Paul's. Which is in Lower Manhattan, but you're saying retreat was knock down, and they decide, okay, we'll plant another tree. Yeah. What are they planning? A specific tree. It's a biblical error street, which is translated Cedar, same exact same tree as in the ancient template of judgment. So they plant the same tree on the replacing the sycamore same thing, and but here's a follow-up, which is in the movie because this happened after I wrote the harbinger. You know, one of the signs of the Bible of a warning a nation that's in judgment is the withering away of a tree. You know, we know that from the well, what happened to that tree is called the tree of home America coming back. It started to wither away. And whatever they tried to do, they couldn't stop it. They tried to they put new ground. It didn't matter. The whole thing was like cursed, withered away. Finally, that tree was struck, actually fell on a Hebrew holy day. It fell on Passover that night, the moon turned blood red and other sign from the Bible, but a symbol when the air is free, which is the Cedar. When that falls, you see, again again in the Bible, that's speaking about the warning of a fall of a nation. That happened after the harbinger. That's one of the things I show in the movie and people can actually see it. Well, I mean, so it sounds like we get these warnings and warnings like the nation is falling, so where do you see hope? The only hope, the only hope is not well in number one, God is the only hope. There's as long as there's God there's hope. There may be a time where you say stop praying for these people. You know, and sometimes we feel like are we at that point. But the thing is that God always one of the things when we read second chronicles 7 14. Interesting. If you read the verse before, it says, if I send a plague on the land, and then it says, if my people were called by the name. So God shakes the nation, but people say he's their hope. I said, well, if there wasn't hope, why would there be shaking? If there wasn't a widely warning, why you want someone if there's no hope. So as long as there is, but there's a big if. You know, first of all, it's my people. Because you alluded to this before. If the church was doing what it was supposed to be doing, if we were the light we were supposed to be, it could never get this dark. If we were the salt, it could never get this rotten. So the thing is it really lies first with us. So if we and there is a weakness in the church right now, there is a dilution in the church right now. And it's kind of like nobody's saying everybody's intimidated to say anything. Well, then how are we going to be the light? We have to be bold. We have to be like Elijah's. We have to rise up. We have to be through. And if there's anything in our life, first of all, we have to get it out. If it's not there, then we can pray for revival. Then we can be agents for revival. Listen, Eric, my feeling is, and you're in this, we're almost together, that this could be the most exciting time, because it allows us to shine. You talk about Bond hoffer. We wouldn't see how great this testimony was if it wasn't so dark with nazism. So this brings out like Paul, this brings out the greatness, so we can be great, but we have to rise to that. We have to choose it. Well, there's no question and I do, I really do think that many in the church have stepped back in the same way that German pastors stepped back when the Nazis came in and they thought, you know what? I'm going to let somebody else fight. I'm going to let somebody else argue, I'm just going to go along to get along. And that attitude ends up being disastrous would be a nice word for it..
