"So ignoring all that, you know, you take that into account, the game might be four hours longer. What if that mission is amazing? What if it's not? That's why you need to query reviewers. You need to, I would love a questionnaire. I think it would be, do you know how to use you would have day one if you had to remember shit? And it would be awesome to see how few reviews would come out day one for most of these games. If they were like, so Bowser boozer in the days gone, like, you know, not what shoulder was he wounded on. That might be a little too much. Somebody might not remember what happened to his arm or something. That's an easier, whatever. And yeah, just have a couple questions. And then by the way, if anybody doesn't know this, I didn't review the game. I saw the NDA, but didn't sign it so I can speak about this too. Required proof you beat the game. A control fee may be or something, right? What did you say? Like a trophy or something. I believe it was a trophy or something. Now, that's a small step. You can do that and some games, a trophy wouldn't matter because a football game, how do you beat a football game? There's all kinds of issues. That's why I question here, man. I want them to be like people. The movie ronin with Robert De Niro, the guy says he's the guy's like, yeah, I was in the CIA, and he's like, what's the color of the boathouse? At this CIA training facility. And the guy can't answer so they kick him out and they go, what was the color? And he's like, I have no clue. He just knew. He knew that that fucker had not done it. It would be. What if you had a question in there that was like, when the girl shows up and kills blah blah blah, and that didn't happen. I watch people's curves. I don't know. I just think those kind of things would be. I don't ever happen. And it doesn't happen with movies, by the way. I mean, I don't know if Cisco and ebert were ever filling out forms saying that they had watched a movie. There was the assumption that they had. And I don't even know if people watching

"He's your bench score and particularly because of defense. That's going to be an issue for him. But I don't see him as a long-term starter for the Lakers. Yeah, you know, I think that with Melo, I would love to see him in the starting lineup for the offensive firepower. But it tonight it really hit me that if he is in the starting lineup, the Lakers will likely give up to many threes on the perimeter. And so as amazing as it would be, I'm not sure he can be in the starting lineup. But we'll get into it. I think that's exactly what you saw with the second half. It took a little while for mellow to get going. So I think if you spread his minutes correctly, you can utilize them in a really incredible way, especially to close out games when you need to go get buckets. Somebody said Carlos boozer that's disrespectful. You misunderstand me. I'm not saying mellow equals Carlos boozer. Carlos boozer would yell every time he grabbed a rebound. He would yell hold that. And that was like his thing. So if you were watching the Lakers back then, those are some dark times, by the way. But if you were watching the Lakers back then, you know what I'm talking about mellow kind of similar that he's got like his catch phrase whenever he grabs the basketball for a rebound. I'm not saying Bello equals Carlos mojo. Let's back up on that one. Yeah, yeah, of course, no, it's the rebound battle cry. And Melo is known for his couple of exclusives in there. There'll be some good calling on that front throughout the season. All right, let's get into the next man up award. So the next man up award is the guy who is not a star, not one of the big three now, one of the superstars who we thought stepped up the most on the night. So chat, let us know who do you think stepped up the most not named LeBron, Anthony Davis or Russell Westbrook? I think there's some interesting options here. There's a number of guys that we could look to that we could say really stepped up. Some of the veterans, but I'll let you go first here, Skyler. Who do you think stepped up the most? All right, now I really want to give it to Carmelo Anthony. But again, that first half was abysmal. It was abysmal, and then heated up in the second half, hit the two corner threes and was looking like mellow. So I'm going with someone who had a consistent game on both what sides of the floor, someone Trevor that we saw in person in a game winner in summer. I'm going with hillbilly Kobe, Austin, Reeves, getting it done on both sides of the floor. I love when he calmly runs out and shoots a three showing off a little bit of his offensive bag, but also really good on the defensive end and I think he just gives a great mentality to do all the little things all around the Lakers. And I think he might be able to contribute some valuable minutes this year. Yeah, I was looking at a number of guys here. And I think you could give an honorable mention to say Dwight Howard. I thought he did some good things. Roger rondo had a nice performance 6 points, 9 boards, 5 assists, two or three from deep, great performance there..

Wow, we know where Tina stands on it right now, you know, you know part of being at radio, darling. Oh, here we go, is that you have to admit, you know, it's part of the illusion to maybe maybe it is. Maybe she's not beautiful on the inside. Maybe she's just beautiful on the outside. Maybe maybe that's what it is. But that's that's our job to break that down the cold that is hard. Jobs, so we will have her on I guess, at 10 30 to talk about all of that. But Nicole, I keep seeing you know your your messaging Me Now you're telling me I want to talk more about these horror films, these horror films, and so you were saying before that, basically, you can get paid to watch 13 horror movies. And I'm assuming it's just in time for Halloween. Right there probably are looking. They're seeking reviews. Right? That's what they're trying to get right? Because that's the thing Is there going to be looking for reviews? You're going to be sent Fitbits. They're going to track your heart rate while you watch these movies, which is cool for maybe research, who knows? I know Dish network is one of two companies financed buses, the other but dishes going to send everybody a survival kit with like a blanket and popcorn and Paraphernalia Stephen King paraphernalia, which I love Stephen King. So that's why I signed right up for that one. But finance because, like I said, is going to do more the 19 nineties through the two thousands. So everything from like Blair Witch to get out. Quiet place. Good movies. So what are these movies that are just laughing reviews, though? I mean, I just feel like you don't really need. Why. Why would you need reviews for this? Hi. I'm really curious. I don't end the Fitbit to if they're tracking your heart rate. If they're wanting to make some notes, maybe find out which movie is the scariest based on your heart rate or something like that? So but also just fall theme And this is good PR for them period. I mean, obviously, people are going to be using their socials, um, tweet or whatever. While they watch these movies. I just said tweet which dates myself so much people still tweeting. Don't do that. You know, I'm on Twitter. Yeah. Over here like this week, Twitter might be has a Twitter and Mike Boozer, Twitter and occasionally they get 20 fight. They get in Twitter. Beef is real. It's serious, but that might be and Mike Boozer tweet. Both of them. Get over there. Now. Now, Nicole, I want a full review on this because honestly, I have to say where they're being September. 13th Right now. I started getting kind of in that horror mode, usually the last week of September because you feel like the cost of October. You started to feel like, okay. I need to start jumping into it in October, right is fully embraced. I get into it. Tina your over. You're frowning at me because you hate horror movies. That's fine. It's okay. You know, you can watch the predictable of my Disney predictable will use the same story because I'm I'm just not good. Do what you can Thank you go for hard to just playing out. Nasty people would never choose to make some of these decisions. Oh, oops. I got killed by the ghost. Oh, Marius, come back one more time coming back. Yeah, Yes. Sick of. "Listen y'all right that in permanent marker because that is going to be sure and true no matter what and i think the more we hold onto those shore things and allow christ to be our sure thing. The last we're going to insist that our five year plan makes sense. And so having said that i do know there are some practical help and tips and things that we want to look at and to do and one thing. That's helped me. I know people love to make lists especially those of us who are planners and so One listen i hate is the procon less because i don't think it accurately i don't think it measures what we hope it measures because a procon was like i have three pros and cons so that means i should not do this thing like like the lord would like at this brings me closer to god. Your continents like it's inconvenient you're right boozer way. The same amount. Yes so you have to consider so it's like it's helpful in an helps you process thoughts and get stuck on paper. But i feel like that's like the most surface thing you could possibly do and also also we often tend to make those pro-kremlin when we are freaking out and we don't know what else to do so we're like the procon okay. Let's figure this out. But what i i think what's better. That's okay that works but what's better is to be a person. For whom at a different kind of list is a part of your daily is a part of your life rhythm so i like to make what i call a life energy list which is asking yourself the question about a particular period of time in a particular area of your life. So let's say we choose this past summer and we think about our. I don't know the work our work our work this past summer. So maybe it's like three months at a time And we take that portion exact portion of time and that topic and we ask ourselves two questions. What was life What was life draining. And what was life giving in that area and then you make a list you can make a list. This is a different kind of list. It's a reflection lasts rather than looking forward in fear we're gonna look back and reflect and find those things in our work that was life draining and things that were life giving in this is a this is a curiosity practice. And it's an it's taking that idea of okay. I do and make. Let's get things down but it's sort of giving yourself permission to see your life for what it actually is. And sometimes i mean you'll know right away. That was that drained me but that gave life. Now this does not mean that you're going to eliminate all the life draining things however moving forward. It could help you make some decisions about the future in your work. You might next summer. Because here's what happens if we don't do. The work of reflection next summer comes around. We're doing things the way we've always done then and it might be worse this time. It might need more overwhelming this time or more life draining. We don't know why because we just moved on to the next season. And so i think that though this might not be most helpful with when you have a pressing decision right here i will say from for me personally. Making a regular practice of making this type of energy life. Energy list has helped me a more grounded maker. Because i'm more aware of the things that i feel like. God has called me to the things that bring life the things that drain life and it helps me moving forward and so that can that is a little bit more of a big picture kind of list that we can make and just a tip. Make the life draining part. I an end with the life giving list. Because i've done it the opposite way. It's super fun and it's like you end on this really blurry note and so just do it in that order and you will your future awful. Thank you but Took and i love that. Like i feel like it just gives us insight to who we are in you know if you are a teacher and you're like okay. What about this last semester was life giving to me and your lesson planning and you're like what was like draining to me and you're like interacting children. You're like wait a minute. Wait a minute. There's something wrong here but there is so much room for someone who is strategic thinking and love making lesson plans like good god. We all need that skill. We all need people who can do that. And if you realize that is the the is true and good out of this for me. That's the way that i'm gifted the thing that's draining is i. Don't love teaching kids will. Maybe it's like okay. Maybe would like teaching high schoolers are college students or maybe teaching your thing. Maybe you were in school administration or some other kind of thing where you get to use that strategic part of your brain but i think that gives us some insight. Well i was just going to say. I think we get stuck in the trap of like. Oh i like curriculum. That means i have to be a teacher. And we think things are so linear. But i but when we allow ourselves as sort of look at these lists and recognize. I have this weird skill. I have this weird passion. Have this strange desire and we can trust. That are good and faithful father mike. We've those things together in a really weird quirky job breath that we could never come up with on our end but if we didn't take the time to pay attention we might never have seen that a man not so my story. I feel like it has to be your. Our jobs are pretty like their sired there. So i guess this is. We just said eighteen like well when i grow up. I'm going to like it's just. We didn't have the language for it. There wasn't the technology for it. You know we know right. I know friends. I wanted to pop in for one quick second. Not only is loser going to be participating with with his top five. Which will be interspersed with ours. He also gave little notes as to why he has his picks all that all that said. I had a really good time. I don't know about you. But i had a really good time researching this one. This was this was enjoyable. There are a lot of these are comical. Yes most all of the mechanical and while there's not a lot of them there's enough there to come up with a very very solid five and watching paring it down and watch it. It's one of the things we talked about. Most of them are cameos. Munition the nature of it. Thank you can't have a tire movie for the most part where someone's playing themselves to route. You mean most. Yeah most of my top five most of the actors playing themselves end up as you know. One scene cameo. Yeah so it's easy to shirt first of all. There's not a whole lot of time. An actress or a person's playing themselves in a movie and there's not a whole lot of scenes so i was able to see the vast majority of just this week in doing my research and most all of them were safely. Say all of them were very enjoyable true. I do the same thing able to knock out all of these pretty quickly because they don't take a whole lot screen time One movie i. Actually i went through. The entire movie dragged it along little status bar. There looked for with us actor actor. Well they're all by by definition actors. Are there in a movie acting as themselves whether or not they are in fact professional actors by trade kind like us. We're not like necessarily professional. Broadcasters technically broadcasting paid we added a donation button mongers. You five bucks for your podcast. You consider professional like where. Where's the line. I think you have to earn money from strangers. What if you're estranged from your mom. Oh like talked to her anymore. I twenty year podcast right. That's the only relationship connection. I guess in very specific scenario. How much you gotta get from. What if what if you get five dollars from some guy who has a fetish for ball dudes who all interested in we can only fans who are known all ball dudes. That's that's sort of thing. And they found this show and they give us as one person is five dollars a month professionals. I just love. you called me notable. I didn't say notable not know what all damn knowing all know it all bogged riding high there for notable notable ryan. I would be happy with. I would never go notable buddy. I didn't sit when he thinks jonathan movsar. It says it right there the bottom line and right now lottery to the bottom. That's where i always put the thanks to everybody. I want to put it up top. I probably should have done that. Sorry john thank you for this fruitful topic. We'll read his top five along with ours as we go along. Yeah as we go along with figure this thing is we go number five four someone who wants to go first I'll go for. This is a movie that We were all kind of pleasantly surprised by. How do you make financial movie about the financial housing crisis exciting and unborn and It's a tough tough task. Tough task adam mckay Rose to the challenge die. He was very very fun movie. And oh the big short so as you're talking about demonstrating a cameo in after playing themselves right. What we've already on. The brand crush repeats on the on the affleck fashion episode that we did earlier this week. we talked about how most actors playing themselves. A ended up being cameos. Because you can't do a whole movie for the mo- rarely can entire movie where an actress leeann themselves. Unless it's something like jane. Being john malkovich or some other movie. That will come later in this episode. I also reiterated that at the beginning of this episode. The task here. What did you say i said. Exactly what set so. This is the third time now. The task here is cook characters. Cam confused wants us to end people that are playing themselves. That is the task in movies. So so you think of of all the times that you've seen either many of them were you see someone saying hello this. Im this person that you already know as this name the name either. They went to florida. What does that mean it's important. It's crucial the plot they cut. They left that strip joint their worst scenes. That happen in florida in that movie. The big short but you chose one inside of stripped twain. Which is there was nothing florida about it. Let's talk. Mario margot robbie plays herself which she's got sex appeal. This is before the suicide squad but she was still margot robbie already from wolf of wall street. I'm she's any less sexy and suicide squad. I mean it was before she was like harlequin who four. That so moving to me. So i'll i'll go to your feed. I'll close my eyes. Early in the morning is often often. I want you really hear me particularly early and covert. I would wake up early. And i would play your prayer close my eyes and just feel the transmission because it was in the words. The words are just coming through you. It's not like you're sure you have an intention. And the only intention is to to bring light to bring love and to serve. And so whatever's coming through comes through. And so i i the journey of being a preacher in a non traditional way because that is absolutely my experience you know you said you were twenty two and you started preaching. I think i was probably. I was really twenty. Twenty two as well as twenty five hundred started getting onto stage and giving spiritual talks boozer right but even before that from twenty to twenty five. I was speaking for free wherever somebody would. Give me a microphone. Nk as time talking about what. I was into in that moment which was entrepreneurship and and being a young entrepreneur but then as soon as they hit twenty five and got sober. I just hit that stage and just give me us some stilettos and a microphone. And whatever is going gonna through as got to come through and that has been the driving force of my life as well and i want to hear from you about what it means to be a channel If you've ever really said that about yourself or even identify. I have not said you are a preacher is to be a channel to be a conduit through when you allow god to speak through you So like what is that. It may be now for the first time ever being called in channel..

Yeah jimmy butler was in the league the next year. I think 'cause i thought for a second to that jimmy was on his team wild. Yeah okay so. I mistaken there but yeah lineups from the head dan. Gibson and noah. And noah i weirdly. I don't know when i was watching him. I was like there's no way this great rim-protector. I must've been missed remembering that. No he was really quick up to the rim really quickly he pounced. He kinda shocked me a couple of times. I'm sure shock. Some driving offensive players to But there was man. I was watching pacers game with them. And this is so weird. I've never seen the team do this. So danny granger at the time. I'm afraid now my say the wrong year was danny granger on the pacers was on the pacers. Okay i remind wash same games. I was watching for the first round. The playoffs yeah. Yeah so at one point. Grainger like was running around a screen and hibbert was setting the screen like setting it downstream near the free throw line and when granger got out to the top of the three point line showed wilding was like running around the screen to contest him and at the time Who was it. That was out there. Both bogans and boozer just like closed in on the rimmed gases. Actually i was i. I remember watching the same earlier today. their help defense was insanely good like they all rotated so well. I think they have the best defensive communication out of lives teams that we watch like i will be fairly carlos boozer he tried on defense Some at least some points. The when the team was good he was trying it. Towards the end. On Sunday next Sunday, but quickly I had mentioned going into the break is the NFL becoming the MBA and I don't know about you, Brian. I watch every Bulls game They play tonight against Portland after a game earlier this week being postponed because of covert A host Portland later on tonight. They played pretty well against Portland on the West Coast on their circus trip, which is no longer circus trip. But it was the West Coast trip. Um But a couple weeks ago, James Harden basically says I don't want to play it Houston anymore and all of a sudden next thing it always in Brooklyn, and I saw earlier this week that Brooklyn's trying they were trying working on getting Kevin Love. And I'm saying, OK, this is just And I understand a lot of people and they don't like The draft. Okay, There's a draft where players come out of college and you pretty much have to go where they're drafted. Or they can. You know certain guys like Eli Manning and John Elway. They could say what? I don't know. Try again. Yeah, I prefer not going there and I'm gonna go somewhere else or hold out or do whatever. But you look at this. And now this, John watching doesn't want to be in Houston. Because he doesn't like the ownership and now he's trying to, you know, get traded, and I know there are millions of people say, Hey, he's the athlete. He's this. He's getting paid well to play in Houston. I don't know. I don't. I hope it doesn't become this where other players just because their team is the winning decide. They want to go somewhere else where they can win. Well look and to your point, the MBA. You now have agents becoming general managers, right? Yeah, and so and presidents of clubs, so it's it's because that's the G M's have been manufacturing trades in the NBA for years. Now, you know my guys unhappy, and the actual GM of the team will say we'll go out and shop when we come back and see if the deal makes sense to me and That's the ultimate not only did you get guys recruiting each other playing Olympic team say we should do this more often, like on a regular basis. So then you get the wining and dining and you know if LeBron and Do you wait in everything else? And you know, unfortunately, he end up with Carlos Boozer here in town, but I don't I don't know, you know, And I've seen it written this week. The McCaskey's aren't interested in a partner. They're billionaires. So they want to Shawn Watson. Come in here and tell me how to run the team. Sure, I think most people would Rather have the shot Watson running the team, but you know that it's a slippery slope. When she started giving these guys terrific talents, they may be Empowering them to think that they do, in fact, have more than just input. They actually have a say, or force your hand on hires right? So say one of the things the draft does. Is, you know, they tried to make bad teams better by, you know you're bad team. You either get in the draft lottery, or you get the picture like in baseball and things like that. And you know, because other sports around the world In soccer and stuff like that. There's no draft. There's no salary cash. People can spend whatever they want. Because of that, you see the same teams on the top of their leagues each and every year pretty much at least the same 45 teams or six or seven, Whatever. Bayern Munich wins for like 12 years and roll or whatever the heck it is, and you know, here in this country, there's a draft that they have to pretty much go where they play, but it seems like slowly but surely, players and athletes are trying to get it anywhere. We want to go play where we want to play. We don't want to have to play where were drafted and everything like that. I don't know. I may be one doesn't work. But I don't know that the other way will work any better, Because then you see the bad teams consistently staying bad. Nobody would want to go well, that I mean, that was people's cell, saying, uh, That you had to have parity in the league. Everyone had have. Ah, loose the chance going in the season sure to be optimistic, about least being a 500 team, So if you bottomed out, you had chance to get that quarterback or the top player. And make a big leap towards being relevant again. Yeah. I will see way started this hour talking about Shawn Watson and the biggest we knew his Bears fans. The biggest question is gonna be what's gonna happen at the quarterback position during the off season, and now it's up to these guys. Apparently, they are reaching out there are asking questions. Question that weighs what are they going to do? What are they willing to give up? What are they willing to spend to in order to get a quarterback to lead this team starting next year? 3123323776 Carlos wrote down back with white sacks, collars hang in there. Why all say bad Improv pad and good Improv is good, so it's Yeah, runs the gamut. There is something with there's something with Improv where it's like. If I had never seen a live band before, and I went to like the Metro Chicago and saw abandoned. They are bad. I wouldn't be like well. Music sucks. But, so many people go and see their first Improv show and just be like Yikes. Bikes Wash Wash Improv just terrible so I point. Yeah, I totally understand. There's that Improv out there but. I just never seen it live. That's my problem got okay Gotcha Gotcha. I've seen plenty of Great Improv. That's well recorded. Presented to me curated. Love to see one one instance of Improv in the wild room like hell. Yeah I'm in. Improv in the wild I used to live in Utah, and they had a pretty big well. Almost twenty years ago, a couple of good improv troupe there that would do do shit. Live shows once a week and they were. They were pretty good I think one of my favorite I guess games. Is that what you guys? Call him well? There's if you're doing short. It's games if you're doing long formats forms. Tell me. What is it was a thing they would do where they would act. As they had eight minutes to act out a scene, and then they'd repeat it with half the time and repeat it until it's like a second long. Oh sure. Yeah, that's a game. Yeah, come at Comedy Sports Game. That was it was impressive. It was very impressive trying to keep track of it. How was living in Utah, isn't it? Is it fairly strict like no alcohol on Sundays and? Stuff that Utah Yeah. Nothing's open on Sundays, the whole pretty much closed. Because it is the Holy Land depending on, you know, the God of your parents, choosing whichever one it is. I moved I moved from Utah to Delaware. I live in Ireland now. Okay, but Quite a not really a culture jump there but I it is. Go. WHERE OUTSHINES UTAH? That's I'm just GONNA. Say I, don't have much love for Delaware, but you get right on out of here. If you're going to tell me, Delaware's not better than Utah. I drove three days and I was like wow, man I just drove three days to Idaho was Idaho with no mountains is what it was. The apartment that I was living in was also the apartment that house the Mormon missionaries and I role in car with Utah plates, and they all flocked over like I was from the Holy Land and. Insane and then I had one guy follow me home when I still had my Utah Tags. He followed me for four or five miles and he's like. Are you a member of the Church? That man John Stockton. Listen I still got love for John Stockton. I think it I think is the all time NBA leader in assists and steals which is insane. I have to actually admit Chad. I gotta change my answer from earlier. The thing that you definitely wouldn't guess about me. Is that as a child? I was an enormous Utah Jazz Fan that. That is what you wouldn't guess about me now to be fair. 5 Reformers on the Psalms

"This episode. Let's explore five reformers on the soames will start and end with very familiar reformers and in between who knows. Maybe we'll talk about someone you don't know I is. Martin Luther Luther like all of these reformers loved the psalms. Luther set up habit of reading the psalms through in about three weeks and that was a habit. He kept up all of his adult life early on in his career. As a reformer he published his work on the psalms in fifteen eighteen and again in fifteen nineteen and that set a trajectory for the reformers to publish commentaries on the Psalms. So first pride of place goes to Martin. Luther next up is Lutheran Pastor Yohannes Buchen Haagen in fifteen twenty four. He published a Latin commentary on the Psalms. This was a massive work and set the stage for many of the commentaries. That would follow in fact. It was so influential in its Latin texts. That a publisher convinced. Martin Boozer and now. Here's our third reformer on the psalms convinced Martin Bucer to translate this Latin commentary into the German and he did well before we leave. Bougie Haugen talk about boots. Or however let's hear what Bogin Haagen has to say about just psalm one he says therefore in this psalm you have all of the scope of all of holy scripture. He goes on to say every song is about Christ and ultimately every song has something to say directly to the church. Well that's Bougie Haagen as we already mentioned boots are translated. Buchen Huggins commentary into the German. Fifteen twenty five. There's an old Latin expression translator trader. And that's exactly what Buchen Huggins thought of Martin bucer translation. It was not just a translation he he took many liberties and an essence was publishing his own commentary. Well that led to boots or publishing was in fact his own original commentary in fifteen twenty nine and curiously. He published it in Latin. It was a huge volume but despite its heft it went through five editions in the Latin. It went through two editions in French and it even made it into the English. So influential was bouterse commentary on the Psalms that it actually impacted the French Salter and the English psalter which then went into the English Bible. Curiously enough boots are published it under a false name presenting himself as a French humanist scholar from Leon well harassment's great human scholar. Erasmus discovered. It was actually bucer and the JIG was up. Well that's three out of four next comes. A reformer you might not have heard before we'll famous Musculus. He was a reformer and scholastic tradition. He was a benedictine monk in fifteen eighteen reading luther. He was converted. He then went to Strasbourg. Studied under Martin boots or he was dispatched to Augsburg. He wrote many books. Among his books are eight commentaries on the Old Testament including his commentary on the Psalms Musculus. Well that leads us to our fifth and final reformer that is Calvin. He published his commentary on the Psalms in fifteen fifty seven and among other things. He says in his preface to the psalms. He extols the virtues of the psalms. Here's what Calvin has to say. There is no other book in which there is to be found more express and magnificent commendations both of the unparalleled liberality of God towards his church and of all of God's Works. There is no other book in which there is recorded so many deliverance -is nor one in which the evidences and experiences of the fatherly providence and solicitude which God exercises towards us are celebrated with such splendor of diction and yet with strict adherence to truth short. There is no other book in which we are more perfectly taught the right manner of praising God. Well that's Calvin one of five reformers on the

Area was made up of several medieval settlements which by eighteen thirty three had grown into a burr and in nineteen twenty that Burr was merged into editor. Lee has quite the history. It was Scotland's main ports of trade and was the final stopping point of the Royal Yacht Britannia. And if that doesn't ring a bell maybe this will choose good health look cholesterol and dental insurance. Choose fixed interest mortgage repayments choose. I just thought it was the site of the old leaf station. Gave Birth to the title of Irvine. Welsh's novel trainspotting. Lead has more recently become one of Scotland's hottest food destinations traditional pubs fantastic food markets. Lead has something and for everyone and feeling a little more fancy. It's worth mentioning that. It's also home to a handful of Mitchum starred restaurants Scottish menswear menswear designer was born and bred in Edinburgh and today overlooking the water of Leith. You'll find his flagship store at custom lane is also casting and his wife. Gemma brand directive cast in hair call home leaf for us as a really lead by area. And it's a really good sense of a creative community that doesn't really exist elsewhere. In Edinburgh on I think that there is a level All of collaborative economy in customs. Wharf where you've got lots of different studios from lots of different disciplines which we can tap into which is really important for us. We've got photographers before graphic designers. There's jewelry makers architects so it makes for a really interesting dates day experience and you get pulled into lots of different projects acts that can enrich the whole the whole vibe so from a food. Point of view was really pioneering particularly within the high level Mitchell and star level with them. Food Leaf has always had sort of. It'd be more Mitchell and stars in any square mile in the country than it has been previously ICU with Castanon Jr and and to get the inside Info on leads top food and drink hot spots. And we're better place to start with breakfast. I think for for me it it's an everyday Place to go but definitely Bros bagels. I think on lethal walk. They they've been around nine maybe about a year. They've saw set themselves up at the sleepwalk which is really been a pretty bold move because it's been quite a kind of color full area going in there one of the first progressive food retailers really going. Mr They've always got a selection of probably maybe about ten different types of beagles. The E can pick from with all their different fillings. And it just delivers every time. Yeah you know. If you've AH ten minutes to get Beagle have not about better. Yeah Okay and then I wanNA smoke lunch. Where you'RE GONNA IF WE'RE GONNA quickly to nip how we probably we probably and Commons? They have an amazing onsite bakery. So it's always smells great and the sourdough bread is perfect and you can pick up. Take your breakfast I the next day. They do really good who pastries and sandwiches and soups. But if we're taking clients I there's some place called the shore which is an old school leaf beef establishment. It's slightly art deco inside. It's a really beautiful bar and kind of smooth mirrors and then you can have a really nice. Does beautiful fish sughrue fish restaurants along along. The waterfront starts with fishers. And then there's the shore and ship and kings wore when they're they're all really really great fish restaurants fishing japes leaf has got one of the best fish and chip restaurants in probably Scotland. It's called the new haven fish market on generally at key there for an hour in the summer chips and then coming into dinnertime. Where would you go for more laid back than a little favor of ours? The shafts are young. There's a love entrepreneurial. Young shafts are delivering amazing modern Scottish cuisine and I think they do a lot foraging. They've got low bar and quite often. When you're walkin there you can see what Lebron foraging origin? Four place on the bar. It's a really nice intimate experience. Bara is another one. That's literally just over. The water are really dynamic. Husband and wife you who they just you know when you can tell them their heart and soul into it and it's nice to go somewhere has set many but that it doesn't feel stuffy. There's new white tablecloths but there's really nice are on the walls there's good music play is a good atmosphere and the feed is really exciting. And it's actually very good value for money shifts would come from the Martin wishaw Autom- kitchen the training of these places. All they've been you know the Venus Scandinavia and working with or come back to you know. Add Marin started up their own restaurants in in small affordable places in Iran leaf. And I suppose that's the great thing about leaf it's been you know affordable for people to come in and and whether it's startups in in restaurants or in menswear or whatever is given a home in an incubator to showcase the best of en route can do do and then once you've lied to stomachs going get some drinks. Let's start off maybe with just sort of an old fashioned goodall pint buys your a favorite baiser Lee is really good for old fashioned boozers. And it's almost like the fish restaurants that this run along the waterfront nobles is probably one of the most famous ones. It's probably got some real stories to tell the history of the years you know particularly when the sailors were coming in here to darker think There's been in a few few stories told in some of these boozers. Sophie's another great boozer rose. Leaf is a is kind of almost I suppose our our local. Um I'm who also do great great from pub food the dreadnought is also quite like going to the treading on when we moved up here. I find it difficult to find a proper purpose. That wasn't just an old man's Poppin dreadnought really laid back by an which we really like clearly has a low competition your favorite boozers. If you want a glass of wine where you're GONNA go. I really liked the shore. Just feels I think. Because it's quite art deco in there and it's it's very atmospheric. It just feels really relaxed taxed. That's probably for me my favorite for glass of wine. You know some of the good restaurants like the Chop House of Great Barr beside them which is maybe a little bit more like a wine bar or kitchen kitchen restaurant and bar there as well? It's worth mentioning that you don't fancy the key see for a Bagel or dressing up for Mitcham Star. Dinner lethal also has a pretty spectacular food market called the pit and was never really had a kind of food market is such so started in effectively car park in with a garage next door to a and a couple of guys who had trucks maybe had restaurants and tyrone came down and just started up doing great food at really good prices and and then live music then started up by people guitars or saying kind of spawned into whole whole kind of music program and you know many better places for people to go in on a on a Saturday in the pit and the monarchial Cairn Banerjee and what better way to play now than with the track by Scottish music legends the proclaim. There's no awards here for guessing. What inspired this track his sunshine only

Adam Sandler performs tribute to Chris Farley on "Saturday Night Live"

"It was I forgot to watch it with what's his face did Adam Sandler. Yeah. I forgot all about how was it? Good. Well, one of the things I didn't know any talk about it in his monologue. At the starts his first time back at SNL since he was fired. And like what oh Sandler got fired. I didn't just rock got fired. And Chris Farley got far they all get fired at the same time. I'm like speaking of being on crack, I think Lorne Michaels must have been on crack is that would be three of their stronger characters. But sadly did a really nice song. It's from his Netflix special from last year where he did this really nice tribute song, Chris Farley and had this need to kind of. Slide show wasn't a slide show is an actual vignettes of his greatest moments on SNL in the movies. He did. And they everybody was pretty touched by that. You believe in twenty two years since Chris Farley died and believable, right? Yeah. Boozer boozer Drucker. I think wasn't the story behind him died of a drug overdose. I what and create. I I'd love that guy. I love that guy for just the I love the way he just sort of change what they were new. There was so many things that he did like Robin Williams at the start of interviews or at the start of shows that they would have, you know. Okay. Here's the script. And they sort of look at it going. I don't fucking keep into that. I got my own idea. You know, I got my own idea. And I love that. That's my mantra man that is my mantra that they just had the right amount that dual in particular had just the right amount of breaking character legless Merck's, but they powered through most of the time is usually Sandler that was breaking character and Farley would just keep ROY. Rolling right through it. And I thought they did at just the right amount. Versus Jimmy Fallon who seemed to.

Why wear sunscreen? Your skin absorbs 50% more UV radiation without it

"Right. Now Morning show he's a noted, cardiologists author of many books and again our resident doc on the morning show, how, you doing Dr. Freed good morning Brian Dr debunk. Here, I'm ready. To keep. Them honest yeah Dr debunk all right you. Gotta, debunk some stuff for us here again it is summertime and the first thing I think about what I think of. Summer and I think, of a, health I'm, thinking my skin my skin So let's talk about sunscreen doc you gotta. Give us the one-two-three, on sunscreen Yeah. Okay so you know Brian most people stay Yeah I don't use it never. Wore this stuff it's too much of a. Hassle. So. Let me ask, you, katie's wearing sunscreen Ultraviolet radiation the type that. Causes melanoma the deadly form of skin cancer How? Much more ultraviolet? Radiation. Does your skin absorbed permitted without sunscreen than katie's does. With sunscreen okay we'll? Just say twice as much five times as much what do you, think, I guess many, more times I have no idea whether it's two three four or five but it's got to be just a, lot? More and, you know that I'm very, sensitive to this issue doctor right so Brian the answer is fifty five. Your skin absorbs fifty times more. Alterra violent radiation per minute without, sunscreen so it's, rule number one blind. When, you're out in the sun riding your. Bike taking a walk, grilling remember, sunscreen is the best life, insurance policy your money can gosh And and you know just, don't do it enough at it requires some discipline I mean you've gotta just. Be. Determined when you leave the house you're going, to have. Applied the sunscreen and let's be, realistic the vast majority of us, don't do that, well it's true and even the people that do it Bryan they don't do it? The right way? That's. What we were talking about the Ford melanoma rates are. Skyrocketing even though people? Are wearing more sunscreen than ever before the two things you need, to, remember is to, lay it on thick if you lay let's say SPF thirty on it's essentially SPF zero and the other thing, is? Reapplying when, you're out in the sun, every two hours you have SPF one hundred on an after two hours. Essentially wearing SPF zero okay so. Folks we've got to wear the, sun say screen, we've got to apply. It, regularly and this takes a little work. A little disciplined but This is serious business melanoma it is. This. Is a cancer that if it strikes who, man unique. Great medical care and you need, some prayers this this is a, fast mover isn't, it It really, is Brian so there there's a couple of things, that you need to know, about this I you know look it runs in. Your family it runs family Troy Aikman, had it, but it. Doesn't need to run in your family it can. Strike, anyone, at any time any eight even teenagers so. I everyone needs to be. On the lookout second Brian. You talked about how. Serious this can be an early detection is key listen to. This number ninety five, percent cure rate it's. Melanoma is discovered early less than twenty percent survival rate if it's discovered late So what how. Do we discovered, early doc what do, we look for you I mean you know this. Is something we can actually do before, getting into, a doctor's. Office right absolutely so examine your skin monthly from. Head, to, toe for new spots or changing the way. Brian the most common location. For melanoma in men is. On the back and. See your doctor you know like you do professionally once a. Year for an exam Right it's on your back you can't see you're you're not gonna see. That in, the mirror somebody else's got to see that for you The back so in, men it's the back, but the Brian it can Chopin. Unusual places well between your toes on your? Poems. On the bottom of. Your feet even on. Your eyelids you really need to check everywhere have someone. Else look at it for you So with, the guys on the back generally speaking with a woman whereas it more more often found more. Often it's on the arms and. The legs. It. Can also be on, the, back legs but you can. Find Brian I had a a patient? Who, was a teenager shaved his head for the swim team, and discovered melanoma. Scalp so it can pop up, anywhere you? Really, need to. Pay attention be, careful okay so, we're talking summertime, summertime and we're talking about. Sunscreen, can we talk please about drinking driving listen Katie and I are, just not fans in, any way shape or form how. Many times if you heard you know yeah Yeah We had a few glasses of, wine some guy, that's you, know out to. Dinner, yeah I'm gonna drive. Home I'm. Fine plus I don't live very far. Away. Sure you hear all the regular just had a couple of. Beers just a couple of glasses of. Wine it's a quick drive home at. Cetera. Right what about? That you put guys like that in a driving simulator and there's three times more likely to crash, now that's the same guy who, says, yeah I'm. Fine and it takes him twice as long to break that's an extra five car lanes to. Stop so Brian rule number, three if you've been, drinking even if you think you can, drink you can, drive you can't so. Don't. Okay how do? You how do you get the alcohol to pass through your? System people would, say, well let's just have a couple of, coffees but that's not the. Trick what how long does it take for this alcohol to get out of your system before you could get back behind the? Wheel. Yeah, well alcohol is absorbed into your system. Within Thirty minutes of Of drinking so you don't how guys try to put food in their stomach to. Absorb the alcohol. It's already gone. It's too late that doesn't work To get it out of your system the only thing that can. Do it is. A king of. Time I mean There's really no way to sober. Up you know a lot of guys Brian Delco coffee or you know I'm gonna have. Some coffee or energy? Drinks let me. Ask, you and Katie coffee energy drinks helpful. Harmful or no impact on driving what would you say I'd say. No yeah I don't think it's any impact I think the boozers in your system and. Your drove the damage is done. Okay it's actually more dangerous when you drink coffee now here's what you right you guys. Are right I you'll caffeine doesn't sober, you up, your less sleepy your, judgment motor skills, are just as, here's why it's more dangerous because you feel. More alert you may think you've sobered up so you have one more for the road. Which makes it even? More dangerous to. Drive Oh my gosh okay Yeah yeah okay if you, have sobered us up so. Here's Dr Mark freed we're talking about wearing sunscreen when ever you're spending time, out in the sun have your skin examined on a regular basis, yearly by a physician for sure every month by somebody including yourself to look for changing spots and then. Hand over the keys, if you've been drinking no matter how alert you feel that we. Got that, covered doc I mean that's what we really need to do here. As a couple summertime. Tips? On case Afo. Right. You've got it Brian remember, to play it safe that light at the, end of the. Tunnel maybe a. Train Pre, k. SEAFO strength Plus plan.

Ricky Rubio nets triple-double, Russell Westbrook says it won't happen again

"Honestly consider yourself lucky first and last year on espn radio and the espn app reacting to strong performances reacting to strong stimulus also happen for oklahoma city's russell westbrook and their series against the utah jazz ricky rubio went out here and caught this triple double right in russell westbrook's face and russ was none too happy about it next game guaranteed it okay okay russell westbrook not a fan and listen the utah jazz i believe it was the end of the longest drought inbetween triple doubles carlos boozer the author if i'm not mistaken one who saw a window of the last utah triple double i believe that was what i saw the other day and ricky rubio who has been one of my stars of the playoffs guy who was reinvented his look went back in you can reinvent yourself with very few pieces in the modern age he did it with tattoos and longer hair but going out and frustrating russell westbrook in that way russell westbrook a guy with as much pride in his performance as his wardrobe going out there and getting frustrated by this responding and reacting and now we know that his reaction never going to be quite as measured as lebron james because russ counters everything with max effort and sometimes that doesn't necessarily work and sometimes does this feeds into of the larger examples of this that exist going forward in the playoffs now because you wonder how you count iraq certain things for the teams that are at the top of the nba pecking order right now because no disrespect oklahoma city but that's not a team i think that has that championship ceiling right now in the landscape of the western conference if the other teams perform to the level that we believe they're capable.
