Democrats Must Impeach Joe Biden for Quid Pro Quo Conversation With Ashraf Ghani

"You're going to claim conservative Bona feeds the Republican Bonefish. You got impeached this guy. You have no choice right now. Yeah. Impeach the sky. I mean, we're just using the Democrats own standards. What? What do you mean? What happened? Did you catch the breaking news yesterday? If you didn't you missed out on a doozy. Remember when the Democrats impeach Donald Trump over a phone call with the Ukrainian president, suggesting it was a quid pro quo. We Illicit scandal is something for something. President Trump demanded they look into Hunter Biden story, ironically turned out to be true looking a hunter Biden in exchange for military aid. Story turned out to be entirely discredited after Donald Trump released the actual transcript of the call, and, uh, that was proven to be categorically false. I mean, if you can read if you can't read, Um are you the reading comprehension of a kindergartner? You may not have seen that in the transcript, it was Trump himself. That also authorized the release of the transcript. The left double down It didn't matter because there Buffoons, they said. We have to. We must impeach this guy scandalously demanding something demanding an investigation into the corrupt son of the former vice president. Now President Joe Biden. Demanding that exchange for military and, of course again. None of that happened now, Fascinatingly enough. We have an actual quid pro quo where Joe Biden asked the Now since the part in Afghan president departed since Joe Biden surrendered to the Taliban, Ashraf Ghani, where he asked him to lie. About the status of Afghanistan and the pending collapse of the Afghan military. And he held up actual military aid.

Vallejo police have submitted letters and on Phillips from the zodiac killer to obtain DNA profile, so he's probably very worried, and he should be because people like being not gonna stop monster of the zodiac killer listening subscribe on the iheartradio app or wherever you get your podcasts. We'll get back to mazing Americans where my guest is Renee Napier who has an incredible story of tragedy as well as grace and forgiveness where to get to that in a moment. Her daughter twenty year old Megan was killed by drunk driver of young man, named Eric small ridge who was twenty four years old the time of that accident, and I want to ask you a because you talked about the rage that came out like any parent would have. I thought the same thing when you're describing those. Yeah, that would be me to let you move from there to a point of grace and forgiveness for Eric's smaller. How did that happen? That's the question. People wanna know Haji get from point a to point b that way. Well, it was a process. I can I can tell you. And I was in, you know, tremendous darkness. I'm a woman of faith, a very very strong faith. And I when I went through divorce, my daughter Michelle had given me this picture of a little girl. She actually looked like one of my twins. She's probably five or six years old for feeder in the water. Got these little overalls on her head back. She's laughing, and she's holding some carrots and the scripture below it says this is the day. The Lord has made our rejoice and be glad in it. And I wanted to that. I said it out loud every day when I got up. I had it hanging in my bathroom or sitting on the bathroom counter and every morning, I would get up, and I would say that out loud to God. And I said, you know, God, I don't feel like rejoicing today. But I'm gonna keep saying this because I'm gonna cling to that hope that I have in you that you're going to help me get through this. And I'm hoping that one day. I'll I'll be able to say those words and truly mean them. And so I listened to praise and worship music in my car. I I couldn't sing I couldn't. I I didn't. Have the joy had left me at that moment. And what my mom described the light, my is going out. So I struggled for very long time with my faith with my eight with with so many things it wasn't that. I didn't believe any more. I just was trying to navigate how to get from like, you said from point A to point B. And so I prayed a lot, and then I saw him as I said in the in the trial, which was in July two thousand three. So that's a year a fourteen months down the road, and you know, that was very hard and emotional for everybody in a long week. And then he was convicted of two counts of DUI manslaughter. So it takes them a few months to they sent out somebody to do a precent investigation. So if anything was scheduled for October third in two thousand three and during that time just within the first week. I I was at the attorney's office, and they handed me a letter that Eric had written and it was an apology. And for me, I read it, and I just saw. Up and in while I read it and to me it was a little bit guarded because he hasn't been sentenced yet. He was not he was not taking full responsibility. Yet, you know. But he was talking about how sorry he wants for being involved in the crash that killed Megan and Lisa, but it struck my heart. It was what I needed I needed to hear him say, I'm sorry. Even though it was a letter and a called all these people, you know, my family, and I'm like reading this letter to them in sobbing. I mean, I couldn't even hardly even read the letter. I was just every time. I was bobbing because it was just something that I needed in my heart, my heart needed to hear him say you sorry. And so, you know, they also told me that when you go to court, you have a victim impact statement. So you have a moment to speak, and I been working on that, you know, just through the trial through just sitting down at my computer writing things. And then, you know, then I would just be like, okay, I'm done, and I can't write anymore, and then I finally had to finish that up. So I got that finished up and in my heart. I'd already told God that I'd forgiven Eric that you know, I knew that I needed to do that. And and I knew that that was the way forward. And so at the sentencing before knew what he was receiving or, you know, I it it was our victim impact statements were at hand. And when I got to say mine in the middle of it. I I looked over at him. And I said, Eric, I forgive you. And for me, I know that a lot of healing began at that moment for just being able to say those words. And then he stood in an apologize families. You know, and he cried I mean, I've got you know, court TV was there. So I'm thankful that I have all of that on on video. You know, that that remind me of that moment, and you know, he he pours his heart out to us. And so now, I'm hearing him say with his mouth how sorry he was. And it was just a a moment in time that that I'll treasure forever because healing for me began at that moment. It's one thing to forgive. It's another thing to move on. And forget, and you have not done that you've taken this one big big step further in April two thousand ten Renee. Napier. Was given permission actually Eric small rich given permission to join Brunei, my guest, inter speaking tours, and I gotta tell you this quick story at a Matthew west concert, many years ago in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and with their with my son and Matthew as I think is incredible entertain? I I love his music and the Christian message he has and at the end of this concert. Folks, Brunei comes out starts telling your story. Just like you've heard today and a few minutes later, Eric small ridge shows up on the stage. You got I was I was blown. I had no idea. What's going to happen? Rene number one. And I was blown away when he walked on stage. And you sit down introduce the man to kill my daughter is like, you gotta be kidding me. This is such an incredible image and scene of God's grace and forgiveness that you can't help be affected. So all that to ask you a question. How did it come to you the two hundred to get Eric oughta prison and go to those speaking tour with you? Well, you you when I started the speaking tours they were in it was in March of two thousand four and I knew that I needed to talk to Eric. And I knew that if he could join me that it would be way more impactful, but I didn't think he could because he's in prison for twenty two years. So I thought that if I could just have him on video, which I was able to accomplish in two thousand six, but I was able to do that in two thousand six because during the time from starting the the doing the presentations in two thousand four until that time in two thousand six I was at my mom's house, she asked me as a during some point after he got incarcerated if she could be on his calling list, and may type of calling list, they have to be approved by everybody on it has to be approved by the DNC and they can make calls and so he would call my mom regularly. And it was usually on Saturdays happened to be in her house on a Saturday. Didn't have a clue he was going to call phone rings. And it's Eric. So I heard my mom within just a few. Seconds of answering the phone. She said, well, she's okay. In fact, she's here I'll put her on. So I got on the phone and I said Hello. And he said, MS Napier. I just want to let you know that I take full responsibility. And what I did that night. And I know that if I had not been drinking that making it would be here today. Well, that was the first thing I needed was to here and say he was sorry, which I got on October third two thousand three and now I'm hearing him take responsibility because that was so important to make him. No that he would take responsibility for his actions because I've always been taught, and I, and I believe this because I've seen it with my own children that when you take responsibility for something you've done, even when it has the worst consequence ever that you grow and you change, and it can transform who you are. And I just heard in his voice that day he sounded like a man, and I encouraged him to write to everybody else. And so he wrote letters, you know, to tell them what he said to me, he wrote letters to my children to my ex husband to the Dixon's, and he told them that he took response. When my daughter Michelle got her letter from Eric she called me, and she said mom is it a burden on you that he's going to be imprisoned for twenty two years. And I was relieved to get that call from her because it had been become a huge burden on me. Because I just kept thinking, you know, that that's a another lifetime. He he was twenty four when this happened twenty two years another lifetime, you'll be in his forties. You know, they're just it might that many years in prison might be way more detrimental to him than helpful. And so I just had this idea. I don't even remember who all I talk about it too in my family. Some of my friends have come forward. Recent in recent years and told me I remember you calling me and talking to me about this. But I had to talk to the small ridges, and I didn't know them. I'd only been around them a couple of times and didn't know him that. Well, I'd moved to Treasure Island in two thousand five and one of my trips home from down there. I was headed back through Tallahassee towards go freezing. Called and said, hey, I'm about thirty minutes out called rainy, and Gary small rich his parents. And I said if if I could meet with you, I have someone that I wanted to say to you to face, and and Gary small Roger set said, well, it's my mom's ninety second birthday. We're celebrating it Bonefish grill tonight. Why don't you join us? And I knew right where it was it was the exit that I always took. So I joined them at Bonefish grill. You know, thought took a deep breath before winning because I thought this is gonna be really awkward 'cause I don't know this.

"All right. I'm stacked weekend. First off. I've been getting a lot of emails people been asking me about judge Janine the show was not on this weekend. I will be back as soon as it's back on the judge is my friend. I support the judge folks, it's not shouldn't be a mystery Abe will definitely be back on the show when she comes back on FOX. So I've been getting a lot of emails on do you think I was avoiding the subject at all? So there we talked about that. But there's a lot that broke over the weekend. Number one. Was this story broke about Christopher Steele? That's just it's almost funny Joe. And I don't mean. I mean, like a funny like bad. Not like, what are you? Remember, Joe Pesci in goodfellas really mean? Like funny. Yeah. How do you mean? What do you mean? I'm funny He was was you know. you know, you know, you're fighting. Yeah. You do I amuse. You you make this story was so embarrassing that at it's going to tie into something later. I was in a Bonefish restaurant this weekend with my wife and daughter and a couple of people came up to say Hello. And while I was in the Bonefish. I was reading it his tweet by Chris Eliza from CNN who who still wants you to believe that this case started with the George popadopoulos thing, but this is gonna all tie in in a minute. So Christopher Steele. Who we believe road? Parts of the dossiers story up at the Washington Examiner by Jerry Dunleavy, really good stuff over there that still folks listen to this. So the guy who's alleged to have written parts of the dossier. Again. I don't believe he wrote the whole thing that's part of the problem. His name was put on it because he had been used as an FBI source in the past on the soccer corruption case, and therefore they thought if they put his name on it in the future that it would be considered credible..

"Thanks very much to Bonefish grill on fourth street for bringing food on Friday was such a crazy day that I don't believe that we gave them the the love that they deserved. I texted Mike Oliver on my way, home from work at a red light. I said man, I feel like I short shrift Bonefish grill because they brought by a ton of delicious food, and I barely even mentioned it. We were we were busy on Friday. But we got outta here. I had I had a lot of that food. I had the wa Waku beef dumplings. I had the spicy tuna bowl. It was really really good. Yeah. I thought the same thing. I thought the same thing. And then I saw your tweet later. It was crazy. But great stuff. Yeah. And and and occurred to me, I'm like man, they brought by had I had mazing piece of Kobe just like when I get it. When you get a good piece of fish. That's cook. Well, because I I don't cook fish. Well, I'm amazed. If I can bake fish or broil, Fisher, my oven, and it turns out edible. So the fact that the peace. Kobe that I got and the the tuna sashimi amazing. So thank you very much bone for fish on fourth street for for bringing everybody some food. What'd you guys have I had the superfoods salad, and that's what I ate for dinner. And thank you Bonefish. And you had some delicious potatoes and mushrooms. Eating anything. But I mean, it's a great place. I used to live back there. And I'd get it all the time. I'm not gonna. I had two sides of broccoli and such. And then also had a side of a MAC and cheese. But that was damn good. It was like the shells had bacon. We're having four guests in one show. I'm probably not gonna know. Holy cow. And I was on most show on Saturday, and I screwed up again because you know. And and he's like who's last real good meal that you have I heard that. Yeah. Yeah. I was so I was kind of tuned in because I was curious. What's what's what's your answer gonna be? Well, the answer. I gave was the flame stone salad that I had had the night before it. Flames don't grill because I I love their salad. It's got craisins which I really enjoy Ben swig did not know what a craze in was a planner you from it. I thought that was the other guy that didn't know neither one of them. How many guys are on the show? I heard nine male voices that day. Swag. There was swigs friend Drake whose in a band. There's spike cost. Yeah. Guy said the F word. Ooh. Yeah. I know you can't do that. But he thought it was okay. Because he stopped it before he said, I g. Say the whole word. Oh, you probably I love when people who aren't on the radio like to tell us the rules of radio. So so he asked what the last real good meal? Wasn't. I thought oh, man. Flames on salad that I had last night was really good table sidewalk. And you know, what they do is get the option to have it with veggies instead of chips. Oh, it's about damn time. I feel like a lot of places that you take your chips. And that's all you're getting where where where are you getting Glock Seth? I'm just curious when you say all the places that don't serve you the veggies name one name one. Well, I can't because they don't have veggies as an option right there. Clearly in front of me, John my I get my guac at the Saturday morning market like real Saint Petersburg in the holy guacamole stand at at the ceremony market in Saint Pete big fans of drew grab alive. Really? We've we've really influx their business though. Thank you. Holy guacamole. Appreciate that very mild bringing bringing a batch next week. Thank you. So then I what I should have said when most what was last real good meal that you had I should have said that piece of Kobe that I had from Bonefish grill on Friday because that really set the tone for a fantastic weekend, still no booze. And you know, what I was thinking about all weekend was that what Steve Wilco said, no more wasted days. Does that make sense? Yeah. If I could drink all night and not have any effects the next day. I might still be doing it. I'd like to think not, but I might still be doing it. But I I don't want to take any more days off like not take it off work, but have anymore sonny's where I can't move because of what happened Saturday night. Well, it doesn't have to be like that. I can drink in the next morning. I'll be up at six AM and feel fine. And that's not just because I'm young you're how old exactly it's not just because it's not. Because you've been holed, and you know, what that's going to be like for you. I drink in moderation. Oh, I am old. And I don't know what Matt moderation is. So and I will tell you that alcohol affects your body much more profoundly after the age of forty trust me on this when it's gross. So no more ways today's and and thanks for the inspiration. There. Talk about Pete hegseth for a moment. This dude. Is getting bagged on FOX and friends because he's eating leftover pizza on the set. We've all seen people do that. You think the pizzas somehow this magical food that can sit in a box and not kill you. It's so weird because I was I heard you guys talking to couple of weeks about the guy who ate the spaghetti and died, and you were talking about the pizza. Yeah. I put my pizza. My parents did it since I was a child when you're done with the pizza. You put it in the oven in the oven. Not in the refrigerator it just in the box in the oven on and then. No. And then I will then eat that pizza for days on end. What's? But that's just the way. It's always been with the pizza you closed the box, and you put it in the oven. And that's how you still do it at your home today. Yeah. Are you in? You're good with that policy. I never really second. Guess what that day that? I was off. I was listening to you. And it just kind of clicked in my head. Why is that? Okay. It's not like if you have meat on that that meat is sitting out at room temperature or even oven temperature. Yeah. For days. Oh you. Thirty two years. Is that common is I I would be curious to know if people put their pizza box in there oven when they're done with it. Eat it there because that was just that was just the way it was just fascinated that families had leftover pizza ever. You order a pizza miles earned going to be an extra slice. So you just you're done. You don't even wrap it up. Nothing. Nothing in the box right there in the box in the oven is on like one hundred and eighty degrees. The oven is not on the significance of the oven. Is nothing. More than a holding Dan for your for your leftover pizza. This is nine okay. Is it possible to get food poisoning? Just from hearing the story I feel like my stomach Santa queasy now, and that's not even what they were ragging on the dude for what he has admitted to even worse to not alive. Who are you? Rick, Eric, what's up? A couple of times I've been in New York and a little local pizza place where we go in Saint Pete is always got ties up underneath just chilling until you're ready for me. Or whatever you want. Those were made that day though. Okay. Thank you. Caller. So for leftovers in high school in the morning for breakfast. My high school would shoot serve cold pizza. Okay. So we had to old pizza. And. Breakfast. But I do the same thing. He does. I lead the pizza out in the box. And I don't even put it in the just counter next morning. I opened it up. That's breakfast. Right. They're done cockroaches. You're having a little cockroach party all over your pizza right in the middle of the night. Yes. That's protein right there. Whatever added protein, okay. Seventy seven five seven nine hundred to five people have called me out for it before like people just there's a pizza box in your oven. I'm like, that's where it stays. That's where it's good for a few days. I would say honestly two to three days in the oven. Is is good. For me. I'm a peace with that. Jira, go to preheat something in the oven joke last week last week. We put that bad boy on and we were going to broil something it almost it. Almost went smell burning cardboard, Melissa. What's up you? Rob a live. Hi, andrew. Yeah. I was like completely nodding my head as was thing. Because I grew up my whole life. And that's exactly what we did close the box. But I still do it to this day. It'll sit in for two days, and I will still no matter what the topping is a meet veggies. Whatever. That's just how I grew up. That's how I still do it. Wow. That's. Okay. Yeah. That's what I'm saying. Like if you never went to the hospital, it makes me rethink our entire sanitation policies because maybe we don't need to protect ourselves. Well, thank you. I wait. Hold on say, don't tell me, I'm gonna guess..

"If one found themselves in Bonefish country and someone put a gun to your head. And you're like you catch one as fast possible, or I'll shoot you. Yeah. Man. That's probably what you'd set out to do is go look for one. Yeah. You wouldn't go out and start wailing away. You guys probably more an expert on this than I. But I know people that guide Bonefish in the keys, and I think that if you put that question to at least to my down there, and what tool they would use. They'd say a very nude -ly Spink assing rod with shrimp on. But I wasn't necessarily saying that the flies most productive I'm saying site site, fishing, or the and casting them a live crab in the flats that's gonna clean up everywhere. So it doesn't matter if it's flyer or bait, but it's the site fishing. And specifically tracking that fish rather than just blind casting over and over again. And hoping one goes by the likelihood that you're gonna spook one. If you're just gassing over them and over over book sent me down to wanna go catch one real mad. Remember, dude, he's on the scene anymore. Randall kaufman. Big. I like Oregon and shit like the hand sold fly tying equipment whatnot coughing. He had a book. Yeah. Kaufman stream born he had a Bonefish book is big. It's hard back. Great photos. And then my brother Danny had one of those days of fisheries biologists. Those. He's big fly fisherman. He to this day. He had one of those calendars where it's like three hundred sixty five who'll fishing pictures. I think I had to. Yeah. And every third one was the Bonefish picture some down the flats doing some thing like that. And you know, every third daily, Dan that looks cool. And that's what does being inspired by people. I didn't know anybody that ever done. It wasn't being inspired by people who did it as being spied by art. I feel like it's one of those things that art sends you to do it. Art, doesn't send you to to fish through the ice. Something else end you fish, the heart. Art, propels one. You know madness. It's send you to the ice mad hunger. Or or a buzz? It's just so easy to catch. A lot of Bonefish in a lot of in a lot of places. I mean, not always I always say the people that, you know, especially people who are new to fishing salt bone Fisher, an excellent way to hone up your skills. I don't wanna take you permit fishing if you haven't gone fishing miserable. They can be difficult, especially those big ones. I mean, they are just a whole new world. Right. If you see someone getting nervous in front of a bone fish, you know, they're just gonna free fall a permit. But I think there's a lot of opportunity for this art because it is pretty I mean, you can go to catch fifty Bonefish, especially if you're casting into like a big day or over a trip. Depends. But definitely easy over trip easy over. I mean there are being big mud pile. Right. So you're literally just casting your fly in and stripping anything's going to feel I was going bought it all rom kicking to catch a few of them. Well, that's what it should be like, the, you know, the the purists frown upon thrown into the mud's. But if you're a guy here guide or a host and it's day six or five six full mud. I think it'd be like the. I really don't care, but but for some people yet, it can be deemed, really cool. They you know, you see these kind of dense cloud of milky water. And then you just see a little flash or two up little tales cry wading around. I do have to kind of disagree with you though, like your earlier comment, April and dole. "Dot com and entering the code meter at checkout. What what brought you down there in first place where you're trying to work down there. No. I my original. Trip down. There was on a. How are aware to peace for outside magazine? And. I had an old friend old client. I'm sure you. How long have you been guiding? Or were you guiding before you guided ten years ten years fifteen years, you probably have. A large group of people. You would consider your friends? Right. Client, your clients have. So I had this awesome. Client against him. Jeff Miller who grew up in Saint Louis had fished at deep water kief from the late seventies early eighties. And when I went down there. He said, you gotta meet this guy. David pinner. He's he's the guy that started it all if if you really wanna ride about bone fishing in the Bahamas, you need to know, David Pender. Of course, you know. I went down. With the hopes of dashing off an article and fishing the rest of the time I self right, but on subsequent trips. I would bring groups of clients down on subsequent trips I met Pender and spent a lot more time with them and realize that he was one of those kind of singular dudes. I mean, a person who has spent his entire life on a two Mile Island. I mean, he grew up foraging for snails and crabs and whatever he could find. Lived on the same plot of land that entire time. So the more more time I spent on there the more time, I realized that he he was the subject of whatever this book might be brought people like you were promoter. Now, I was a host hosted a group of my clients who wanted to go down and Bonefish at this lodge. What's that relationship? Look like, it looks good. If you get it for free. I mean and plus fifteen so if you eight people then you get to go for free, and they check for whatever the April used to do that. Right. So Hartland no end that I used to do I've done trips to the Bahamas and believes and curious. Yeah. And I'd get a fifteen percent check. But I also would sit there, and I wouldn't fish, and I yeah, Brits. Right. But I would host these trips, and unless my client caught a permit, for example, I'd be sitting on the boat be like, and I don't know about you. But my clients are great steelhead fisherman. They're not all great flats boat. So I did a lot of just sitting and watching what do you mean you'd be like anxious about them being successful? No, no, yes. No. I couldn't catch a fish per professionally. I didn't feel comfortable fishing until my clients had caught a fish. I mean, there are two different kinds of hosts are some hosts that that don't have that same consideration. I felt it would be a professional courtesy to take a back seat or the asking of you though to talk to them and just give them advice. So these people in your case. You guys steelhead clients you become friendly professional friendly with the clients. And they say man, I would love to go fish Bonefish. But I'm not comfortable going down there and cold rolling in like, it'd be. It'd be my host. So that I have a familiar face when I ride when we arrange everything so April is going. I'm gonna make sure we're going with the right operation. They the right bullets for success. We're gonna make sure that we're we got an in with the right tides. The right guides sold them goes wrong is kind of on you kinda. Yeah. You've been there before. Right. You suss it out you know, how to get from the plane to the shuttle to the lodge done this. This is something. I no longer. Do. I find it really exhausting. It's a lot of work. We. Yeah. Well, it depends on a lot of my clients are mazing for their friends. You know, it's a great time. But you still have to be on. And I don't know did you did you back Backseat. seat? You can either. No, I wouldn't business. No, no. I wouldn't do it again. I wouldn't do it again. A lot enough a dozen. Yeah. You know, have a dozen..

I don't know. Maybe I stole from someone. When that fits takes off and your lines, cutting the water sounds like someone Rippin newsprint. Yeah. That is exactly what it sounds like if you did steal that. That's a good theft. I actually in in the chapter. I'm kind of describing the physicality of the Bonefish I quote a bit from media the book, you have a great line where you say their nose looks like the. Working end of a rechargeable vacuum. I think. Same pitch too. Like, your MA's BAC mom's the kind of vacuum sticking the wall. I forget what those are called. But just something and. Anyway. So they they live for the most part in in deep water where they're rarely caught. But they come onto the flats to feed. So the saltwater flats being ankle to knee deep. Really? And exceptionally clear. They eat crabs the shrimp, little benthic worms. They eat sea urchins, the small perch, they even eat small bone, a great story in here where this old guy David Pender who I mentioned. Catches a Bonefish that has a small twelve pound Bonefish that has a one pound Bonefish actually still alive in its in its belly. The only fish you can maybe that's the only one, but one very few fish. You can track down. Oh, sure. Yeah. Because they they like. Leave sign right. They do leave sign. Sure. They go out and go into the mud and make a little looks like looks like someone like kind of jammed golf ball down to the ground and pulled it back out again. And if be like they've been through here. Yeah. You'll see like dark grey patches, much everywhere. Those little the little call little Divet rooting rooting 's. But they don't they don't jump. I think they they are steering fast. But they they're probably best renowned for their speed, right and their and their strength for their size. Sure. And I think at the time when guild Drake Floridian was thinking he could make a fishing lodge based on this Bonefish. It was their fickleness. The difficulty of pursuit that kind of made them a target as a sport fish..

"Else to do. We caught Bonefish. So. Oh, really? Yeah. No. I've seen them. I took a couple of banning casts. One time. Yeah. Taught him a few though only a few fifteen years ago. I was down in beliefs for a couple of weeks, and I maybe landed half dozen, okay? Nice. So your book, Chris. Yes, Stephen explains that fish went from being does a lot of things, but explains how that how the Bonefish became a celebrity fish, right? When it used to just be a what? Well, they threw it into piles. It went into baking dog food back in the day. You know, the commercial netters would if Bonefish ended up in their catch. They would basically throw it into a pile that went to to Purina or or some other. Undesirable pile of fish, right? And that evolution of that is really what as you say the book is about at least on on the service level. Point nineteen fifty one was when the first baby in bone fish lodge was erected skydiving chart fifty one and fifty one see I read the book, but I don't remember being that early. Really so people in nineteen fifty one we're thinking, oh, this is cool fish to catch E-e-eh. Well, not very many guys. Wealthy. Floridian guy named Gil Drake. Who had Bonefish in the keys there were a few guys that had Bonefish into keys now most most people that kind of famed behavior. Bonefish guide is guiding crazy Charlie Smith, you know, that crazy Charlie Flusher is the fly everyone knows about. But I got a small problem. Yes. What's the guy's name again? Because here's a guy. You got me thinking the guy that shot the mousse got in trouble. His name is Gil, Drake. No. He's got perfect. No, rusty counts. Rusty counts. That sounds like lose poachers coming poaching. Yeah. Rusty counts case Gill, Drake. Okay. So Gil Drake in about nineteen fifty one. I actually had to listen to this book on audio book to remind myself of a few things. Yeah. Read it in a couple years. So I had to re quaint myself, but fifty one sounds right. Guilt. Drake was his wealthy. Florida guy lived in Palm Beach in his is. His wife, basically fronted in the money to go down to the Bahamas and build a lodge, and he. The flight from Palm Beach to the east anagram Bahama is really thirty five forty minutes. Right. So he found this at the far east end of archipelago this little island that was that came to be called deep water key. And. After a few months of being down there. He hired a man named David Pender who who he hired to basically. Cleaned the island of mangroves and help them lug rock, and you know, rudimentary construction project SUNY he found out that tender who had been born and raised on this tiny little Island New a lot about where the Bonefish lived right for. What reason just I mean, he grew up foraging. He was sure forager his father had been spongier, you know, and had drifted. Kind of island two islands island. Pender says in the book sponge like clerks sponges for the sponge. Exactly ornamental, right. That's for spun though, they were saying they were selling them for sponges Pender contends that. Sponges were over harvested at one point. So, you know, he was basically a sponge son who had spent an inordinate amount of time on this tiny little island at the east end of grand Bahama. And so he knew the Bonefish lived. He was basically bemused when Drake said, you think you could show us where to catch them because of what use was a Bonefish. Right. They were t- tedious eat at best, you know. And there were snapper plentiful and and lobsters and whatnot. So we talked about this in Hawaii. They make ground up, Patty. Yeah. And they call the call bone fish oil. They're not bad. I've eaten one two. I mean. But regardless we gotta do. Yeah. Somebody's explain what a bone fishes and where it lives. I can do it. All right. Well, so it's a, you know, the Bonefish is a. Sport fish. Now Brill averages about three to five towns. It's a official lives in deep water looks to you know, the western I r- even the mid western I like a white fish, basically, if you caught lake superior whitefish in Michigan or you. Rocky Mountain whitefish. The Bonefish looks very very similar. It can travel at speeds of up to thirty miles an hour. So it's a super sporty fish when hooked right strong strong..
