"Take my shot. I might do a first second and third down. Just because, but right now, he just methodically moved in football down the field. You stay patient, you'd be very efficient. What they've been doing on your own. You use Pacheco now. Juju, I'm assuming it's coming back. Which gives them that red zone target that big body that they were missing a week ago at the rams. They all they had was pretty much was Kelsey. They need a bang bang guy there. They need two of those guys that, you know, could just position their body, catch the football in the end zone. That's why these struggled against the ramp. But if you say patient, it don't get into like a hurry up panic mode. You'll be fine. All right, we'll see what happens. We're going to do the training. Next. Dan and Marcus are going to break down the best battles. We'll see. Are we 13? Stay tuned. Get into the big boy. Let's go. Hold on. Keep your soul be up. Oh, my Delos. And his oline D line. I just was asked if somebody was home yet. That's all. Yeah. Like football storylines don't stop. A campaign for a repeat championship and up and coming generation of young quarterbacks and how new coaches fare in their first seasons are among the stories covered on NFL live. Each season may end with the championship, but the draft free agency and other news make it a year round league. How about them eagles? 9 in one now after a fantastic back and forth with the packers Sunday Night, Jalen hurts just made plays they needed most when it mattered most. And this team, it even healthy on the defensive side, still finding ways to win. So the eagles offense has been flying this season. Philadelphia ranks third in points per game and has been getting it done really in the biggest moments. They have the third highest third down conversion percentage and lead the league in red zone efficiency, scoring on a touchdown. Scoring a touchdown, 73% of their red zone trips. I mean, that's just clutch, right? But key, what has impressed you most about the eagles offense this season as we welcome Adam back into, go ahead, Keith. Adam and Laura, it's the game plan from week to week. Nothing is the same. Most coaches in the National Football League, they stick to the same sort of game plans, their script from the summer and their playbook, but it seems like Nick Sari and company they change every single week, one week in Jalen hurts, Sanders one weekend is AJ Brown and all of a sudden you look up at somebody else in a situation where there's divine faith Smith or whomever, they continue to just keep cooking away so when you think about it from that standpoint, think about this for a minute, Adam and Laura. 5 players on their team has over 500 yards from scrimmage, including the quarterback and Jalen hurts, the only team in the National Football League with that. So that tells you they're changing week to week. Yeah, he said an eagles rushing record at the quarterback position last week. And Adam, I mentioned the defense dealing with some injuries. What more can you tell us? Well, the good thing is last week they signed Dominican Sue and linville Joseph in a 24 hour period and today they opened the practice window for their first round draft pick Jordan Davis to return to practice. Obviously, so for that injury a few weeks ago was placed on injured reserve, he now could play as soon as Sunday and once you get back Jordan Davis to mix in within Dominican Sue and lindell Joseph that run defense, which has been leaky lately should be shored up a little bit as they make their push for the number one seed in the NFC. That's huge. Could return as soon as Sunday. And despite missing the eagles last four games, Jordan Davis still ranks third on the team and run steps this season just speaks to how good he's been. All right, let's get to the big fellas. One guy's kind of skinny and wind guy's really big. They're talking about the big film. I mean, can we do this again? I'm trying to get people to understand how big this is. He makes me look a little like I got whipped. I got whipped. All right, 5 biggest, you do have whisk. 5 biggest offensive line defensive line matches. I'm gonna put Tyler Smith up there. Versus Johnny can go. It's a hell of a matchup, the old. Yannick and gawk way has 8 and a half sacks since week three. He's getting after the passer. Jeff Saturday loves the fact that he has an edge rusher, Tyler Smith got his word cut out for him. My recommendation cowboys running the football. I'm just gonna ask you that, okay? Number four, miles Garrett who's pumped all in versus lammy tuck the cool athletic guys. Larry McDonald just doesn't get a lot of talked about him, phenomenal athlete, miles Garrett is one of those guys he faced in college and they would duel it out. We know what miles did against Tampa with the sack. It's gonna be it's a hell of a matchup. I would love to say it's a big time game. Both of these teams are struggling so it's giving up one Stephen versus Karl Larson from the New York one. Here's the one if. If sauce gardener does a good job on Justin Jefferson, this will be the matchup, you should fix your eyes on during the game. Kirk Cousins under duress at times will give the ball away, and then this is imperative for this defensive line. Carl Lawson going against Darrell saw is a great matchup. It's littered across that defensive line with dudes that can get up to the point. That we have this one at number two. This is Trent wins. Becca tackling the football versus Bradley Chubb who obviously is a superstar captain. The reason being at number two is because San Francisco nuanced offensively. Okay. If it was just going to be straight drop back. This would be a lot to see. Yes. Honestly, his biggest mission in this game is to make sure he can set the edge against a guy that many don't. Athleticism or Trent Williams is still unbelievable. If you ever get a chance to go see him in person move, there is not a big deal like this. It's unreal. Unbelievable. So chopper is going to have his hands full in the run game in the passing game as well, but that's where he can thrive and maybe get home a little. Let's go to Cincinnati. Kansas City, Trey hendrickson, three years ago, Mina told us he was a star, which is Orlando Brown junior. The NFL slate is loaded this weekend. This matchup is going to be fantastic. Unbelievable. And I talked about the Bengals early in the show and I talked about body style. Great hendrickson's hands, his physical nature in which he rushes and his ability to bend. Orlando Brown, we know. Big physical offensive tackles usually they don't like to bend. They don't like to get low. I'm sure Trey is putting together a password plan. Yeah, that happens throughout the week. This is going to be one of those match ups that determine. What this game is going to look like. Last year, hendrickson won, right? Yep. Ready back to you. Hey, key, what did you call them? Hot dog and a burger. I mean, Dan even looks like a hot dog today with that suit. A burger. What you trying to say? What kind of burgers? I love that. That's a great rule. You can fortify this highfalutin. Let me get that. Plastic grape that floats out over there. Hey, coming up next. Mike mcdaniel and his dolphins dropped back to his old stomping grounds to face a dominant forty-niners defense. Here why Marcus thinks yes is gonna be the difference make room. You know her. It's a different kind of yak though. Geico asks how would you love a chance to save some money on car insurance? "From the liturgy of the hours of the Roman right, from the office of readings. From the journey of the mind to God, by saint bonaventure. Christ is both the way and the door. Christ is the staircase and the vehicle, like the throne of mercy over the ark of the covenant, and the mystery hidden from all ages. A man should turn in his full attention to this throne of mercy, and should gaze at him hanging on the cross, full of faith, hope, and charity, devoted, full of wonder and joy. Marked by gratitude and open to praise and jubilation. Then such a man shall make with Christ to pass. That is a passing over. Through the branches of the cross he will pass over the Red Sea, leaving Egypt and entering the desert. There he will taste the hidden manna, and rest with Christ in the sepulchre, as if he were dead to things outside. He will experience as much as is possible for one who is still living. What was promised to the thief who hung beside Christ. Today, you will be with me in Paradise. For this Passover to be perfect, we must suspend all the operations of the mind, and we must transform the peak of our affections, directing them to God alone. This is a sacred mystical experience. It can not be comprehended by anyone unless he surrenders himself to it. Nor can he surrender himself to it, unless he longs for it, nor can he long for it, unless the Holy Spirit, whom Christ sent into the world, should come and inflame his innermost soul. Hence the apostle says that this mystical wisdom is revealed by the Holy Spirit. If you ask how such things can occur, seek the answer in God's grace, not indoctrine. In the longing of the will, not in the understanding, in the size of prayer, not in the research. Seek the bridegroom not the teacher, God and not man. Darkness, not daylight, and look not to the light, but rather to the raging fire that carries the soul to God, with intense fervor and glowing love. The fire is God in the furnaces in Jerusalem, fired by Christ in the ardor of his loving passion. Only he understood this who said. My soul chose hanging and my bones death. Anyone who cherishes this kind of death can see God for it is certainly true that no man can look upon me and live. Let us die then, in enter into the darkness, silencing our anxieties, our passions, and all the fantasies of our imagination. Let us pass over with the crucified Christ from this world to the father, so that, when the father has shown himself to us, we can say with Philip, it is enough. We may hear with Paul, my grace is sufficient for you, and we can rejoice with David saying my flesh and my heart fail me, but God is the strength of my heart and my heritage forever..

"Is mine, my wife is also from Tana Wanda, near buffalo. But anyway, you're at saint bonaventure and we're here to talk about this hybrid journalism program. How did this sort of come about? I was trying to remember exactly when the idea came up, but somewhere I had read an article about it was either Sanjay Gupta or Doctor John lapook, who works for CBS. And I had been following them, their reports on CNN, on CBS. And never made the connection. I saw this term in the article, hybrid journalist. And it just struck me that it was really a good way to report on medical issues. And they predate the pandemic, but obviously when the pandemic struck, people felt better hearing news on learning about the pandemic how to protect themselves from a medical professional as opposed to a journalist who was speaking to a medical professional. I remember when I was a general assignment reporter, you kind of had to become an expert on a different topic each day. So I like that idea and we have a small grant program at saint bonaventure that funds projects that are interdisciplinary. So I decided to see if we can take a look at creating some hybrid partnerships between members of the journalism faculty and some people in other disciplines kind of modeled after what has worked very well with medical hybrid journalists. This program started in February, what are some of the projects that hybrid journalists are working on? We have 5 projects underway right now. None of them are complete yet. The timeline is finished them at the end of the semester. So I can run through the topics, but I would say kind of as a caveat in one of the things we're learning from this is the non journalism faculty. They have some ideas for some great topics, but they're not really honed into news stories yet. That's what the journalism faculty members are doing. But for example, we have a philosophy professor who's looking at some of the world and ethical issues involving the COVID vaccine. When we restrict people from certain locations, how that plays out, we have a history professor who's looking at culture wars, but from a historical perspective that we think they're new, but he's taking a look at similar culture items that divide the people in the past. We have a physical education teacher who's taking a look at title 9 and whether or not it's been effective. And that's a good example of how the journalism professors and the other professors are working together. You know, her idea was, I'm going to write a story about whether title 9 was effective in the journalism professor said, that's great. First thing we have to do is define what's effective. So that's the sort of dialog that's taking place between the journalism people and the non journalism people. It's just sort of open to other faculty members at bonaventure. I put out essentially a call for papers, which is what normally happens with an academic conference to all the journalism entire faculty. We have a faculty listserv. I explain what the program was and got 5 faculty members who are interested in partnering with faculty from the gender always school. But it was open to everybody. I had funding for 5 projects and I got 5 proposals and they all were good. So that worked out very nicely. Perfect. So you've got 5 different people from different disciplines. You know, what is it the journalism faculty is doing? The idea is to sort of train them to think journalistically or is it something more than that?

"Required. Content varies by package. I need more creativity from Kelly Moore. We saw CD lamb we match ups. We saw markets man, not drop win they had sold over the middle of the field. We saw all of these guys that we knew that were coming back that was gonna add juice to this offense produce Michael Gallup back of the end zone. Yeah, Marcus, I'd like to see more creativity, but I'd also like to see more consistency from dak Prescott. Because while he did make some wow throws last night, he also made some love throws that a lot of them tend to happen when defenses are giving him those shell look looks and he's trying to force the ball downfield instead of taking what's available to him underneath. Something that's concerned me watching deck ever since he's come back from that calf injury is the lack of production on the ground and it doesn't have to be a lot. But when defense, especially in New Orleans in particular, when they play man and turn their backs on him, those rush lanes were there last night and he was passing them over the last three games. He has zero total rushing yards. And look, dak prescot we don't need him to have more than 20 or 30 a game. But when those first downs are there and he's not taking them, that is taking away an element of what used to be an incredibly dynamic offense. I mean, absolutely. I mean, we're not asking him to be Jamil Holloway. We're not saying be Tony rice. We're not saying be Tommy Frazier. But we are saying is use your legs to create for the Dallas Cowboys. And he hasn't done that over the last three games and even without being able to do that. This offense is just as explosive as it was when the season started. And I don't know if it's the injury. I don't know if it's fear. Whatever it is, dak isn't playing at that same MVP level that he was at the beginning of the season. And that was the reason we were talking as a Super Bowl caliber football team. So let's see can they get back to that and connect Prescott, get back to who he was. How big of a challenge? Could this Broncos defense be from the chiefs here? I think it's a big one, feel, because while the vibes are good and Kansas City right now, with the win streak, the offense really hasn't been playing fantastically. They beat the packers and the Giants barely. They beat the Raiders who really just played cover three and satisfied their desires and against the cowboys. It was the defense that won the game. Defense game plan for the Broncos who were unlikely to have Melvin Gordon on Sunday Night. When you think of the best of the best in sports journalism, who do you think of? First I want to say ain't it amazing when you're damn offense don't have a thousand turnovers, your defense can look somewhat open. Number two for me is when you when you look at the Kansas City Chiefs defense, they run blitz the Dallas Cowboys and got them away and made them one dimensional. I think they need to do the same thing. Yeah, you know, with Marcus still having nightmares of Chris Jones like he's Freddy Krueger. I want to put more pressure on this defense. You need to go out and dominate the Denver Broncos. The Denver Broncos have talented guys. Like, let's not sit here and talk about these skill players like they can't go. Yeah. It sounds ridiculous to say because it's one of the most fundamental parts of football, but you better tackle against javonte Williams. It's time to take the rings off adjust a Herbert and allow him to flourish the way we've seen him some weeks this year, just not every certainly can't wait for this one, but let's go to the other side of the ball. Which match up between the bangles off into the Chargers defense. Actually are you most interested in? Yeah, well look, everyone's going to make this about the quarterback. And I get it. I love bosie quarterbacks. And I'm excited to watch them play. But the Chargers run defense ranks 32nd in DVO way this year. And Joe Mixon, who we talked about on today. He is looking at this matchup, guys, and he is. He is ready to go. Because this. Outside zone run game is a problem. And we all know what it's going to take for the Chargers. Joey Bosa and each other no suit. You got to set the edge. Also, while being mindful of the fact that Joe burrow can boot out of those looks on the backside, so not only get the second edge against the run. I realize this is very scary. But you gotta also be mindful of burrow. It is a challenge for the Chargers. A defense that has been challenged, stop running backs all year. Listen, man, just I wish we could end the day of chill on that. But I'm a give my analysis. That's what the play in the is for the show. Okay, listen, this is about other weapons as well. Mina makes a great point. This team is total to know from the backfield running the ball very effectively. Do you own or rent your home? Sure you do. "So still no official word, but it looks good. Meantime for the northern saints, guys, they've been struggling so much without their top running back in this receiver at this point in Alvin Kamara. He's continuing to deal with that knee injury. I spoke with Mike triplet who's down at the girl on the ground in New Orleans, and he said that Camara is not at practice. The official report has not come out just yet but so far the starter practice, they did not see Khmer there or more Ingram at this point. But I did speak to one source with the New Orleans Saints and they said that Khmer is feeling a little better. So no word on if he's officially and meantime Chicago tons of news, not just because of the quarterback position where Andy Dalton was officially named the starting quarterback because Justin Fields is dealing with those fractured ribs. He's still getting a look at and going under evaluation, but Andy will take over the reins there. And, you know, guys, there was a report that was floating around earlier today that bears head coach Matt naggy was getting fired after this Thanksgiving game. The press corps there asked him that question. He addressed it. He says that he was unaware of that. He had not met with ownership just yet. So for now, Matt nagy is the head coach of the Chicago Bears as they get ready to play on Thanksgiving. All right, thanks so much Diana and so glad to have you back on NFL life. We missed you. Monday Night Football back next week, Russell Wilson and the Seahawks face a must win game when they take on Taylor heineke and the Washington football team. They've won two straight, 8 eastern on ESPN, ESPN deportes and the ESPN app coverage begins with Monday night countdown at 6 eastern. Last night on Monday Night Football, Tom Brady avoided his first three game losing streak since the 2002 season with the 20 point victory over the Giants and Brady's now won four straight against the Giants since losing in Super Bowl 46 Tom Brady pressured on 17% of his dropbacks and remains the least pressured QB. This season, a rough run Kowski had been bothered by back and rib injuries in recent weeks, but he saw 45 snaps on Monday night, the offense was much different with him back Tampa. Averaged over 6 yards per play with Brock on the field over two yards more on average than in 31 snaps when he was off. And Brady's QBR was 27 points higher when Bronco was on the field. 27 points higher. Mina, I think that number tells it all, but how important is Gronk in that offense? Is so important. You know, watching last night's game, I was thinking actually back to win the bucks played the Giants last year and it was sort of a turning point in the season after that where they became such a good 12 personnel team with the two tight ends on the field, ended up finishing third and expected points added per play this year without Gronk in 12% with other tight ends. They've been 21st in EPA for play and it's so important Laura, because Tom Brady, much like, you know, Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen has been getting a lot of those too high safety looks. You saw last night almost every single one of Bronx targets. Went back and watched the malls this morning came against those two high looks. He is the book's answer to that deep safety coverage. And having him on the field, it just makes a world of difference for this buck's offense. No, listen, I absolutely agree with me. My tape was on Rob Gronkowski last night. And what he adds to this offense, especially in between the numbers, Bruce Arians also mentioned something last night that was very important is that Gronk is also one of the best blocking tight ends that has ever played this game. And so when you have a guy whose dual threat like that, a guy who affects the running the pass game, it's huge for your offense in general. And when you look at the way life cycles, right? When we start off life, we like blankets, and we need our blankets, and we need our comfort. And then we get really old and all those things roll back around and we want that same type of comfort again. I mean, some of us even go from pampers to pampers. Tom Brady needed that comfort early on in his career. And I think it's his career wines down. He still needs that same type of comfort with a player that he can count on. There was a play where he extends to play gets open. Tom Brady hits him. He only looked for Rob Gronkowski once that play broke down. I think that means a lot to Tom and a lot to Tampa. So I think we've all decided here that Tom Brady still needs diapers. And that was the one I said. Is a diaper. That was what I said. So well, it was sort of what you said. Let's move to the browns and Baker Mayfield. We had a couple of interceptions in the win over the Lions. We're remembering that he said last week he's more banged up than he's ever been, but either way, baker was asked about Brown spans booing him in the offense and here's what he had to say, the exchange of the reporter yesterday. What did you make of some of the booing there in the second half from the fans? Those are probably the same fans that won't be quiet while we're on offense and trying to operate. So don't really care. All right, so we were trying to talk about this at the very end of the show yesterday. We kind of ran out of time here. So mad. It's so bad. What's the reaction when you see baker directly addressing fans like that? I thought we were past this. It's my reaction. Honestly, look, I get it, man. Baker is banged up. He's not playing well, the team is not having the type of success. I understand frustration. Everybody on this show understands frustration. You know what ain't gonna help us though? It's pointing the finger at anybody else, right? Like when you look at franchise coupes when you think about this particular situation that baker is in, it's deflection time and just get to work and figure out how you can be better with the things that you're dealing with personally. Look, I want to be visceral. I want to go crazy on Baker Mayfield for his reaction because I didn't like it. And look, the fans, they were there before you. They gonna be there while you're there. They gonna be there after you're gone. You will never win that battle and trying to get tit for tat with fans in the stands. But the problem is, is that this is a sign of the things that hampered Baker Mayfield earlier on in his career. Paying attention to things that really don't matter. And I think that's the part that I got to a bit of adversity, and now he goes right back to going tit for tat with people. Yeah. For me, it's empires crumble and fall from the inside out. Now I go back to weeks ago, it was the conversation about Odell Beckham and whose fault is it? Why can't we get him to football? And then two weeks ago, postgame miles Garrett essentially calls out their defensive coordinator. We didn't make any adjustments within the football game on the sideline. Nothing happened. And now this where Baker Mayfield is melting off at the fans. Where is the leadership in the locker room to make sure that they don't implode? Who's going to be the guy that is The Rock in the locker room to make sure that the noise on the outside and all the antics that are going around this football team,.

"It's time, man. You lost to New Orleans and you lost to the Washington football team and defensively is where you struggle that. It's time to get that going and this front four is going to have to lead the way. And he'll put it, I'd just be worried about you having a trip up or something coming down themselves. I felt like it was 20 incredible years that shaped me. I wouldn't change any of it. I don't think you wanna win much as I do, 'cause I hate losing. I think it would just show that we haven't wasted the greatness that we have in this locker room. Nobody likes us if you're not a fan of us. It's one of those moments I'll never forget. There's a whole lot more out there on the table for us. We just need to be better down and stretched so we can win those games and get into the playoffs. I felt at that point, the best thing for both of us was to seek a tree. Watch John in the stomach for me, will you? Catch the NFL's biggest star every Sunday morning and Monday night on NFL countdown on ESPN. New on NFL live some news out of New Orleans, Adam Schefter. What do we know? Laura Alvin Kamara was one of 7 saints players that did not practice today that list includes Alvin Kamara. And Taysom Hill, there are other quarterback and Camara participated in practice Wednesday, did not participate today. That's not an encouraging sign for a New Orleans team that's getting ready to head to Philadelphia to play the eagles this Sunday Camaro such a vital part of their offense and he's coming off a game in which he did not play last weekend against Tennessee. It looked like he could be on his way to being back on Wednesday, but today seems like certainly it was going the wrong way with him not practicing. Yeah, the saints have the eagles this week. The eagles have been playing a lot better, especially Jalen hurts. All right, time now to find out who's on the Dan wagon. We got the bandwagon coming up. Come on. Broncos on the wagon? We are gonna put two gloves. Touchdown Broncos. Steady Bridgewater. Wagon. I keep going to put on Kirk Cousins, throws. That's Ezekiel Elliott. Oh, he's on the bandwagon. You are now part of the Dan wagon family. Welcome. Like Laura said. All right, Dan, giddy up. You got the horses in your pants and I'd like to know who's on the Dan wagon. It's supposed to respond after that. Now a lot of people this guy was like the casual kind of trendy pick for offensive rookie day again. I took Mac Jones NBD. I'm gonna put Pittsburgh Steelers, tailback. Naji Harris on the Ben wagon. Okay, naji Harris. This year running in between the tackles has ran for 582 yards. So we're talking about a guy that is being physical, downhill at defenses that's third in the league behind Jonathan Taylor and the king himself, Derek Henry. Since week 5, he's actually run from four 61. So that's second behind Jonathan Taylor. He is quickly kind of inserted himself as one of the best backs in football. We know Pittsburgh's offense is relatively basic and devoid of big playmaking talent. I want to say, and naji hears has stepped up to be that guy. Become one of the best pure runners in the NFL. Congratulations to Najib Dan wagon. Dan, I think you have too much space in your pants. We can fit both those horses in there. So let's work on that. I'm custom made. Let's get to Cam Newton. Still no official word on whether or not Cam Newton will start Sunday for the Panthers, but feel free to read the tea leaves on this. Panthers reporter David Newton tweeted that cam worked with a first team center at practice today. Newton also addressed the media this afternoon. It's taken a village. You know, I was trying to be of however, service to PJ on Sunday still will keep that same energy here moving forward. And whatever is asked of me, I'm willing to do and that's what I plan on doing. You know, we need to bring a back to Carolina. We sit in that 500 right now. But it's nothing more important than this game that's coming up, and we're just trying to be one of those by the end of Sunday. So Marcus assuming he does start or at least has a bigger package of plays, right? How do you think they should be using cam? Quick and easy. Easy access throws, allow cam to get the ball to the playmakers. And then allow him to be a playmaker as well. Listen, don't miss the element that Christian McCaffrey is one of the better banks in the NFL. Don't be fooled to think that Cam Newton doesn't help that. We are feeling his own Reed. And the options that you can have with two athletic guys that can get this run game going for the Carolina Panthers that are open things up. Robby answer has to be you. Because a lot of times when you think about guys coming in, not having a lot of time, we saw this with OBJ. A couple plays, some packages, don't do the 60 yard bomb, allow cam to be a quick read type of guy. If it's not there, get the ball out of your hands on the check down or use your athleticism. And this is about continuing to move the chains. They're ain't about Cam Newton for three, 400 yards. This is about picking up first down after first down after first down. And they can absolutely do that with what they'll have in the backfield with him and Kristin McCaffrey. You know, the funny thing, Marcus is you're absolutely right in terms of what they should do with cam new, 'cause every single team in the National Football League, they have a package for a Cam Newton type player. They sometimes mean I use it because they don't have that particular player on their team. But when you look at cam as cam. He's back he's happy. He's rolling. You can tell based on the game in Arizona, the spirit is there. He uplifted that team. Yeah. You can look at it from the sidelines and everything. Hit it on top of that. Take a look at their schedule. Cam mentioned their 5 and 5, they got an opportunity basically the next three games to get to 8 and 5. Then they got the bills, the Buccaneers of saints, the Buccaneers again. They could very easily. In my opinion, if they take care of business, find themselves in the playoffs and even may win the division and I know Dan scratch his scratches here. Yesterday when I said when the division, man, that's not hard to do with a sprinkling Buccaneer Buccaneer team. I know the Buccaneers are gonna get some help, but it's not like Cam Newton hasn't been at this party before. Yeah. I've been here before, Laura. I think because on the schedule as you pointed out there are those two games against the Buccaneers still left FBI actually has Carolina as the second toughest remaining schedule behind only the Steelers. But you're right, some context is needed for how those teams are playing at this particular moment..

Pre game headquarters is brought to you by Domino's order something for everyone with Domino's mix and match menu, order online and track your order. Time to check in on our Domino's pregame headquarters in front of tonight's jets colts matchup Adam Schefter with us here in Adam. Zack Wilson will miss his second straight game tonight. What is the timeline for Wilson to return to the field? Well, that might depend on how Mike Wilson plays tonight in his second NFL start Laura and his first NFL start, the Jersey and game ball that he was given went to the pro football Hall of Fame because no quarterback making his first NFL start ever completed 37 passes in the game and he became only the second quarterback in NFL history to throw for over 400 yards in his debut joining Cam Newton. So Zach Wilson right now is out with that knee injury, but the jets want to get another look at Mike white tonight with the way that he played last week at home in an upset victory against the Cincinnati Bengals. And the jets are very pleased with Mike why they think he has a real chance in this league to be a quarterback and you can only imagine what New York is going to be like if Mike white plays anything like he did Last Week Tonight against the Indianapolis Colts in his backup tonight, by the way, will be Josh Johnson, who was just elevated off the practice squad, which means that Joe Flacco, who they traded for from Philadelphia will not be the backup. It'll be Mike white starting. Josh Johnson is the backup. Adam usually like little tiny stir the pot there with the Mike white stuff, I like it. Let's carry on in the cold side of things. Carson Wentz and Michael Pittman junior had built an immediate connection this season. In fact, whence has posted a 91.7 QBR when targeting Pittman, that's the fourth highest mark of any QB wide receiver combo in the NFL trailing only Kyler Murray Deandre Hopkins, Matthew Stafford Cooper Cup and Joe burrow Jamar chase. So yeah, you think about some of the duo's out there, that's a really great company to be. And let's get some quick reads on tonight's game. Why has that wince pitman connection works so well? I think it's bloodlines for Michael Pittman junior. I played with his dad in Tampa Bay running back Michael pitman senior. But when you look at his body and the type of work that he was able to put in at USC and since being drafted by the Indianapolis coach he has been a red zone nightmare for defensive players. It is amazing to see his transformation from college to the NFL and which depends depends on him and loves him to death. All right, so Dan, what does your guy wince need to do? I want to see the most boring game possible from Carson Wentz. Not a single stupid decision when the ball is in your hands with panic. Understand that you can't allow the Tennessee Titans to beat you twice. Nothing you do tonight will change what happened in the last two minutes of last week's game. Prime time game. When your energy is going to be high and you're going to be amped up. Last time we saw it was Sunday Night football, not a great start. Show maturity to your football team tonight and how you quarterback and manage this game. Marcus just heard Adam's report about how much the jets like quarterback Mike white, what do you expect from him tonight? Yeah, I expect Dan, the coaching up like he just did Carson. Listen, this is the second outing. And I know everybody get excited about the backup y'all know I say the backups are hard to defend, but I expect this end to end up as coach defense to make plays. Look, Mike white through interceptions. It was a game plan where he was getting the ball out of his hands quickly. And I'm sorry to rain on the jets parade and any quarterback controversy that may be defense for him. I expect the forest Buckner and those guys to absolutely get after him. And for him to make some mistakes and look like a backup. I'm gonna coach you up not to drink when you're not on camera and burp, so we don't hear it all we did here. Hey, those mics are hot. Watch out in those grumbles. So you get burping in my ear. I'm trying to read this too. I'm glad we cleared it up, so there's no mysteries. Got where the sound came. Ryan, man. Let's get some game picks. I'll look at us. Wow. Is my head on a man to Connie or a woman body? She really sick neck. Anyway, Keith, you look good. We're pressing weight. We're getting small. We're all in the colts. That's not a shocker. I want to point out though, you'll see on scorn materialize on the screen there. How are we getting to 12 points? Yes. I figured they'd miss a field goal PAT, they go for two. They missed that. Jets. He's not just gonna take the easy way out. Score ever. You gotta experience with that key, so we'll let you get away with it. No more burping on the show. All right, we're coming up next. He's definitely the random link to improve to 8 and one on the scene. Y'all are killing me. Dan's gonna go to touchscreen. Show.

"Leg losses when you're really in any league outside of the power 5s or the big east. I mean, that's what happened to Memphis in the AAC last year. They just couldn't make up for the losses they took early slash the losses they took before Deandre Williams was able to play. They got games canceled that could have been helpful and they just couldn't make even though they were clearly one of the better teams in the country by the end of the season. They had no resume to submit to the committee that was going to secure a bid. Saint bonaventure, I don't think that'll happen, but theoretically, they could be at risk of something like that based on nothing more than legal affiliation. Here's one for you. North Carolina? I know. That popped in my mind. I think you'll have some people that are going to fade North Carolina just because let's see what Hubert can do. And a lot of it will depend on Caleb love just a quick bit of transparency here. I might be the only one of the four of us as we do our top 101. I did not put Caleb love on my top 101 players list because he wasn't a hot topic player last year, and he's got to get better. So if you tell me he is that, yeah, but yes, I think you went seeing that spot is also certainly a candidate. Let's see what they can do. They are 40th heading into the season at Kent pump. Well, that's the thing that would concern me. I've got North Carolina 15. So I believe in them. But they're 40th at kin palm which put you know, that's bubble area. And then, you know, they got a first year coach, and we can all like Hubert and respect huber. We don't know if he can do the job. You don't know whether somebody can do that job until they're doing the job. Until they're the one coaching those games. And again, I've got them 15. So I believe that it's gonna go well. But, you know, I've been wrong about those things before. There is a long list of assistant coaches who I thought to myself. And sometimes out loud. Boy, when this person never gets the job, he's gonna knock it out of the park, and it just, you know, they're either back to assistant coaches now? After being fired, as head coaches, or they're not even in the sport anymore. And so, you know, that's never lost on me. I think Hubert is going to be a fine successor to Roy, but the truth is, we won't know till we know. And that's why if you were putting together a list of teams that are ranked in the preseason top 25 that are at risk, just at risk of maybe missing the insulator tournament, North Carolina probably should be on that list. So remember the daughter is now living with Charlie, should Charlie pay Denise. Let's have a look. Oh, 70% said yes, it's fair. She's not living with Denise anymore, so you think that is fair. Hey, don't forget to vote on today's poll, go to our Twitter page at naughty, nice rob, or our Facebook page, which is naughty gossip. And be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results and now it's time for a nicest of the day. Yes. Yes. Well, here's a couple that we've never spoken about before. Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck in a sharing the, I guess red carpet or blue carpet, whatever you want to call it for Ben Affleck's new movie in New York City. So on Saturday, they were at the premiere in New York City on Saturday for Ben and Matt Damon's new movie. Here's the thing they were the talk of the carpet from what I'm hearing too. Like everyone wanted to know about them. You're at a movie premiere. You know what I mean? You're at a premiere for a brand new movie from Disney and Matt Damon, all these a list celebrities, but everybody wants to know about Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck. It was so interesting. They captivated the carpet. You know what? It almost feels even more stronger and powerful as a couple than it did when you were with them back in what 2000 round is really, really big news, but I think people are buzzing because she tried to stay out the way a little bit. She posted a picture on Instagram of her sort of hiding behind the scenes and she wrote red carpet magic and she's gushing at a photograph of Ben doing interviews with the press so she's trying to keep a low profile. But at the same time, she is Jennifer Lopez. You and I you and I can keep a low profile. Jennifer Lopez can not keep a low profile no matter where she can go into the like she can walk into a Yankee Stadium and everyone's going during a World Series game and the world will stop and look at each other. So let me ask you, do you think it helps or hurts men to have her at the premiere? I say help because we're all talking about it, but we're not talking about the movie. We're talking about them as a couple. About them. Well, I think it puts Ben in a better light than we've seen him in previous years. Got it. Got it. I think you don't hear you hardly hear anything wrong about Jennifer Lopez ever. And it kind of she almost has this weird like this. She carries this array of sunshine with. She's so nice. The light shines brighter when Jennifer Lopez is in the room. And nicest of the day and now he is the day. Nobody knows. So James Bond the new movie No Time to Die has debuted slightly below expectations. So everybody thought this was going to be a massive movie. It is, it is, it got a bad $56 million at over 4000 theaters. However, they thought that it would come in between 60 and 70 million so it's slightly below this is a sign that even the biggest movie in the world has been changed by the pandemic, Garrett. And this movie's been pushed. Are you ready to go back to the theater, the cinema? What do you think? I think so too, because I mean, just like restaurants, you know, people are doing whatever it takes to make sure that you feel safe. You know what I mean? It's not like they're just open the door after being closed for almost two years and saying, good luck in the states. Like you used to, we used to make fun of, you know, stepping into bubble gum on the floor in popcorn sliding from the butter and stuff like that. I think movie theaters and just the safety of wearing a mask in the movie theater. I've been back to the movies. You know, not as much as I have been, but pre-pandemic, but I've been back slowly but surely I think everybody's getting back into the movie pool and it stings, but still as a very strong showing from yeah, yeah, it's interesting because I agree with you too, but the truth of the matter is, I didn't see the movie. And I think I would have had it being and before the pandemic. I used to go every first weekend of a bomb movie. I was always there for my popcorn. Being to this one yet, which is I think telling of maybe what a lot of us are doing. We hope it's all coming back together soon. Hey, let's have a quick moment of rob. You get a ridiculous. Thank you very, it sounds like it sounds like the guy go like the hump day. Thank you. Thank you. We have a clothes from the forward answer, my new book. The book is full of quotes from different celebrities. I love this quote for today it's from Demi Lovato, and she said the following quotes, you're imperfections make your beautiful. They make you who you are. So just be yourself. Love yourself for who you are and just keep going. When I started to really, really learn to love my imperfections and goodness knows there are many of them are life got much better. Love your imperfections you.

"Now so. Gordon gallup came up with this mark test and i assume he actually tested some animals. The one that made the biggest splash was chimpanzees. So he this big mirror just outside their cage and at first the chimpanzees acted in the way that a lot of other species do like the mirror. Image was another animal stranger. You know that you might attack After a couple of days though that changed the chimpanzees started using the mirror to look at parts of their bodies that they couldn't normally see like opening their mouth and looking at the keys. "There's there's only a handful of guys on each team that are scoping scarlet points. Kim was going to score. You know those guys are going to score the points you know. There's a certain niche for guys that come in and play hard every night. You do all the dirty work. Nobody else wants to do. You put your nose line dive on the floor. And and i think that's what i'm you know still eight years later. I think that's still what i bring to the team as I wanna promise to better and What i'm on according team plays well so Just kind of embraced that role throughout my whole career. And that's and that's going to be your value in this spree agency whether it's to return to charlotte which is certainly an option or to go somewhere else. And i i mean you look at your career cody and you played at one high school in your hometown. You weren't off it. You weren't off at img or school. You played in your hometown in indiana. You played at you and then you played eight years in charlotte. You've not had a lot of change in your career and your sort of on the custody of having to make a decision and i think you're going to be in great demand. I know you are the things you just laid out. You talked to gm's and coaches. And i know steve. Clifford was still coaching. This league and i know how he feels about you. He would want you on his team because he he believes you. Impact you impact winning. But obviously there's lots of factors in free agency. There's what's the financial number like. Yeah there's lots of teams want me. But are they going to pay me a market value. Somebody else's you have lots of factors but this is new to you and looking out in the landscape. How do you. You know you're probably you may not be day one free agent signing although it does move quickly in this league now and and a lot of deals are done and as you and i both know there's deals done before free agency actually starts But but how do you look at the landscape. And how do you decide what fits for me. What do i want out of a team. And we're exactly like what's the environment that i want to choose and pick because i know you're thinking about all that stuff you're talking with your agent's same goal federal excel. I'm sure if not every day pretty often about what it all looks like. Yeah i think. I think it's gotta exciting like you said it's It's my first time being a free agent for style really had a choice of been fortunate to be drafted by charlotte in a good city but I think as i look at freeing see I wanna win. And i think it aligns with you know what i bring to the team and everything and i stand for I think Interesting one. When i was coming out of the draft i had I had dinner with one of the one of the team. And they said you have to be motivated in this league by one of three things. And i said it's either money playing time or status it can't be about lifestyle can't be about You know anything else asked to be about one of those. Three things has to motivate you and so he he gave me an example of player for each one and my silent for the night. And then i had to go mass the next morning. Which one would. I be motivated by. And i think that's always kinda stuck with me. i think My answer was status. And i think i've made My contract before this one was was a big deal. financially and Playing time like i've played A blade big minutes Started in this in this league Couple of hundred games on played thirty minutes a night But you know. I think i can have a huge impact as a as a backup center Infrequency psyche. there'd be a you know a a starting center on a fringe playoff team or a backup center on a really really good team competing for top four Homecourt advantage in in that conference So anyway playing. Time is not important to me but i think status is really the one and his example for the player of status was tim. Duncan and so status doesn't mean you know llanelli attention or i want all the credit but someone liked him dunkin where i wanna be remember. It is every time. I slept on the floor and made an impact on winning. When it's better. And i think that's what tim duncan did his impact one eight. I think that's what i can bring. A team is Is Is impact winning and make. My two is better so as i go into free agency. I think that's what i'm looking for is Not necessarily you know. Sit on the bench for a team is one of the championship. You know i. I'm looking at you know in my mind. A team at the top floor in the conference is you know. They're applying for homecourt advantage. They are planning to make make the playoffs. they're planning to have homecourt advantage of men. Anything can happen. What you get in the playoffs in my mind. That's a that's a winning team. And like i said even if that means me playing fifteen twenty minutes is a backup center On a team like that. That's that would be my ideal role in free agency. Some of you may not know this. Although i don't know how that's possible. But i am an alumni of saint bonaventure university. And almost everything. Good that's come in my life whether personal or professional. It's ben because of saint bonaventure. It was a place that gave me confidence and gabi belief in myself and helped me horn a craft that i wanted to develop to get this level of education. I had to move to upstate new york. Mirror, Mirror, On The Wall: Can You Reveal An Animal's Inner World At All?

"Okay nelson gordon. Gallup came up with this mark test. And i assume he actually you know like tested some animals. The one that made the splash was chimpanzees. So he put this big mirror just outside their cage and at first the chimpanzees acted in the way that a lot of other species do like the mirror. Image was another animal a stranger. You know that you might attack After a couple of days though that changed the chimpanzees started using the mirror to look at parts of their bodies that they couldn't normally see like opening their mouth and looking at the keys. They looked at their bottoms and their genitals. I mean of course they did know of course they did then gallup with the chimps under anesthesia and marked their ears and their foreheads. With a red dye the animals woke up. They saw themselves in the mirror and what they did was to reach out and touch and examine the marks on their faces only be seen in near so they realized the marks were on their own faces by looking in the mirror. Okay so that's chimps are close relatives. What about like monkeys. So he told me that monkeys could be exposed to mirrors for literally years and would never spontaneously use the mirror to do any kind of self examination like that but if quietly snuck into their room and you know in a mirror was there and the monkeys saw the person in the mirror. They turn around to confront them. They could use the image of of us me and my students in the mirror to bonaventure our behavior and respond appropriately. Okay so just like my creepy low dog. That is just like your. I mean. I don't know if your dog responds appropriately. Yeah i told them about your dog and he totally thinks your dog could be using mirrors to spy on you. I mean it sounds like her no honestly but in in terms of using a mirror like people do to look at yourself. How many species can actually do that. Well if you ask him he thinks it's just humans chimps entering. That's his view okay. So you're saying if you ask him that makes me feel like there are other views out there. Yes so if you ask diana at hunter college she'll tell you that dolphins and elephants can recognize themselves. And you know it is hard to test dolphins. I mean think about it. They just don't have hand right. You can't really like poke your own face with the flipper. Yeah yeah so. She had to come up with variations of the mark test. Like in one experiment. They used a marker to kind of draw on a dolphins body in different places But they didn't do it secretly so these dolphins could actually feel the marks being made the idea was. Would they race to the mirror afterwards and orient immediately to the place where they've been marked as if they had something in mind on their way to the mirror they were going to use it as a tool to look at the mark and we. That's exactly what we found. Wow okay that's that's pretty cool. What about What about elephants. They have trunks right so it feels like you do this kind of mark test. Maybe we'll she and some colleagues did study elephants at the bronx zoo and so again. Not so easy. They had to get this big jumbo eight by eight foot unbreakable mirror and she says the elephants seem to look at themselves and they did all kinds of unusual things like they'd rhythmically move their trunk or you know one of them would use a trunk to pull an era forward in front of the mirror like it was looking at it One of them touched this white x shaped mark that they put on her head. You know she used her own trunk and sort of investigated but two of the others didn't do that with the marta. So you know recess. She's tested other elephants since then and she does think they get it you know. She thinks they just recognize that what they see in the mirror is them okay. So so back to the original mark test developer. Gallup doesn't buy that. Dolphins and elephants no themselves in a mirror. He just doesn't think it's been conclusively shown. I mean there's been claims over the years about weird behavior with mirrors in all kinds of species. Birds fish aunts manta rays. And you know he says there's always this problem of if you have an animal doing strange stuff in front of a mirror and they do odd stuff right. There's this danger of seeing whatever it is you want to see. You know what their behavior actually means can be hard to figure out. Well i mean for that matter now what does it mean if an animal unequivocally passes gallup's mark tests like does that mean that they're actually self aware gallup thinks that the tests means they're self-aware. He basically thinks that self awareness is like being able to make yourself the object of your own attention and he says that you know if you're looking at yourself in mirror and recognizing yourself in the mirror. You're kind of like literally doing that. And that this says something about the animals internal world and its ability to understand other animals mental states But you know that's kind of romantic idea in a way you know that that that just as muir recognition says something really profound animals internal world. And so you know daniel pov- anneli doesn't really buy it. So he's a researcher and he told me when he first read about gallup's mark test for mirror self recognition in highschool. It made him wanna spend his whole life studying chimpanzees. You know. I bought into the story of mirrors and sulfur ignition hook line and sinker because it is a compelling story. Yeah i mean like wow there are creatures out there just like him just like people and all it took was a mirror to uncover this magic secret about that more whatever exactly but i gather from his tone. No longer feels that way. No no i mean. He's a researcher with the university of louisiana at lafayette and he spent years studying champs and mirrors and self recognition all this stuff and he says you know just think about when you go to a mirror say in the morning when you wake up you drag yourself there. You're looking at your image and like maybe you're all but drag with sleep in your eyes and you start having all of these thoughts. You're just like geez. I look older and you think about time and time is passing and then you start thinking about who you once were and your future and what other people think and on and on but is that which required do i have to think about any of that in order to brush my teeth in front of the mirror. He says you do not need all of these higher order concepts of self and self awareness to use a mirror in a practical way to just understand that like your physical motions are connected to the mirror in some way. Yes we saying like when a chimp interacts with its own mirror image. We can't know what it's thinking about. We have no clue and finally pointed out to me with training. In how mirrors work rhesus monkeys can actually learn to recognize themselves in mirrors and. Pass the mark test you know. So what does it mean if an animal with training can do this. He said he doesn't think dolphins been shown to do it yet but he says oh it could probably be taught to do it sure. What about my dog. Now what do you think. I don't know i mean maybe i mean. Some people have suggested their dogs. You know. the visual system isn't as important and like self awareness or self recognition might be more like smell related. Yeah yeah that makes sense so we need some kind of like olfactory mirror. Scientists have been working on that mattie. No okay no well thank you for this tour through the muir amazed that is research on animals and mirrors. I will think of you the next time. I see my dog gazing at my reflection. Which i imagine it's going to be in like five minutes. Enjoy

"The good news is well. Not a great deal on good news, a not not a great deals actually occurred across the markets of light. Today. We've actually got a little bit of take in what's going on with Bitcoin and the rest of the market. We'll talk you through a couple of things. I'm saying right now. There's not a great deal within that. Top Ten buffet looking at Bitcoin now look the whole week last week. As today is Monday. Obviously, the entire wake ended up closing down half of one percent. Now that's not much. Not much at all and the entire range, and he he's what's interesting. The fact that it close down half a percent. Look that he's a little bit interesting on expose, but it's more about the entire range of that candle that the range of that entire candle. Let me tell you what that is. It is from it's hard to. It's low, roughly calculated their. Seven point three six percent. Very little indeed now. You think that's still sounds like a lot and I. I suppose the IT sounds like a lot, but you know you go back to the wake. Starting was early June first of. That was a twelve percent week. Yeah, we'll look at last week. Even last week was a little bit big. Not a great deal bigger eleven percent there as well. You can't okay going. Back to the end of my, we had thirteen percent week and we've the wakes that we see. Also of between usually ten and twenty percent realistically, that's what we that's what we see. The vilatility has dried up for the Hong Bang on Bitcoin. Now yesterday we closed down point seven five a percent today without point nine does not a great deal going on he in this market for the time they were one thousand, three hundred and. Seventy took a kite. So north thousand three, hundred, seventy two. Bitcoin right now now the positive is is holding its ground. It's holding above nine thousand, having too many issues holding of thousand and it's grinding. You know it's just hanging in there. That's a positive thing it. It doesn't site too much full whether we can your high or law at this stage the weekly. Look it's back in. That cradles I. Know It's looking a definitely. Definitely more bullish and bearish on the weekly timeframe, and I'm looking at as I speak to you, but it's a little bit more convincing for me to to really say this market take often do well a theorems that are pretty good diet cost talk tense up the most two point, five percent up two hundred, thirty three dollars, or seventeen sense now theory and loss. Really Nice quickly Cana. By the way, it's a really really really really trendy so theory and looked a lot stronger to me than what Bitcoin does for. The Time Bang lost weight down one point six seven percent not huge cannon NAS pullback. Cradles looking very very good. It's a two thirty three is up two point five six percent eighteen point seven percent off point, one of the percent rotten lost weight once guy. It was down down two point. Two five percent excel pays actually looking bearish It's looking bearish to me. It has been for quite some taller rolling over at the moment on that weekly timeframe, but again we need to say when eighty see above twenty cents again to get that momentum. Moving would be a really really powerful thing, not much going on for up. Hey, right now, bitcoin cash to sent up right now at two thirty seven fives, interesting bitcoin cash Theory by very similarly similarly similar I can't talk. Signed Price. It's up Senate to thirty, four, seventy five lost weight, just talk to the weekly a dying. We would down three percent on the best up one point three four percents tonight, one, seventy, two, seventy, five, a bright down through some support loss weight loss weeks down full point ignored percent. It's holding below that that level that one seven six a couple of support resistance levels around here. Look don't really shot that I'm looking for opportunities on right now. Because I just don't see the trend banks strong enough the daily nineties down, but it's not strong, still very solid, wise lot, coin, solid, wise one point to set up at forty three dollars and fifty cents. Does that represent good value Guy Looking very similar to that of exile they were. We don't have that strong trend like we do with say ethereal on the fifty three cents up exactly one percent and loss week it was down, but only down to him again, just grinding at going their bonnets very slow wake as well it was down three point six two percent, the sixteen dollars and sixteen cents up one point three percent when I say how. The since the purchase of see 'EM, say bond hasn't really done a great deal. Positive for itself as far as price goes The market doesn't seem to be doing much on bonaventure at the moment Kadhafi up two percent right now still in that strong uptrend. The weekly yet it closed up up two point two percent weekly Chat, looking very very strong dial job still hanging in that not much going on at seven point, nine cents does up two percent, a theory classic, very very slow wake a guide as I'm sure you probably will away down one point six percent sitting at six dollars twenty four. Point seven percent today again. It's a very very slow shot tron. One point five nine cents last week. It deploys down Anita. Percent Died. My view right now, is it? A theory is the best looking shot out of our top ten right now. That weekly chart is really really daily I WANNA. See it captures some mole momentum. WanNa see the high timeframe start start the mid timeframe trend a little bit better. We've got high alone a high a high now on a theory. Reactions to Trump's impeachment acquittal

"To get it in I mentioned earlier in the show that the the the whole thing with there were so many people in December during the the house during the actual impeachment proceedings that were celebrating on social media believing you know the willfully ignorant believing that impeachment means removal and then you you look at I guess the last couple weeks there've been a few that I've seen it's over for him he'll be he's done and it went from he'll resign by the end of the week to well he's definitely not going to win in November and you and I don't make predictions but you look where the strings are right now with this president you look at what Chris Matthews has said not just about what happened not just about the state of the union or anything else and then van Jones banjo that on that at the last debate and and what he said he didn't see anybody on the stage that night they could be tribe and on yesterday talking about look Democrats have to understand trump is going after the black vote and he may be able to get a significant portion of it I mean you you look at that and the Rasmussen had on in terms of black votes forty two percent and we said okay fine cut that in half favorability rating yet favorability rating of forty two percent cut that in half let's say it's twenty one that's massive I don't remember Republican I'd have to go back and and look at the last Republican that had that kind of support but it it's it's like they're still some that are in denial over what the left has got it I wonder if it's who was it that said her friends during twenty sixteen with just a draw the curtains in and close the doors and turn the TV TV are in doubt burned out yes if there was any negative news about Hillary that would just bury their heads in the sand but it's just on many fronts I'm just talking about the chatter on social media it's very quiet right now by the far left look they hate to guide the make fun of the guy they must they mocked the guy but I don't see them promoting their their some for Bernie there did the burning crowd was there but really I mean there's not the porch there was in twenty sixteen there's not the I don't I just don't see it it it's maybe it comes together but it's not happening right now well one thing that we monitored on the show over the last five months is the number of responses that we got especially after the cross after the house impeachment hearings were done in the articles of impeachment were actually written so the cross examination was done we had Democrats that would speculate in September and in October and November and cut well with that you guys are wrong they're gonna get him today and it never happened in fact the opposite happened when the witnesses came forward in the house but once that was completed our I believe we have had only for phone calls mmhm and that would be since thanksgiving of anybody attempting to defend the the Democrat point I believe three out of those four phone calls because you wanted a moderate because we we were saying to ourselves this is really incredible because we know what the Democrats think that they have a point mmhm and we find it incredible three out of those four we're only saying the only point they had was a talking point well of trump was innocent he let everybody testify which is again the philosophy that you are guilty until proven innocent right that it's it's upon the defense the burden of proof is on the defense not the prosecutor not those making the charges which is false and we had so we had one phone call on the issues and and that fell back real quick I can't remember what point they were trying to make that they made the point and we countered whatever the point was they weren't there was like silence so I'm not you don't anoint there but that's it and that's why we have with confidence said every single Democrat listening right now to the show knows that the impeachment and the impeachment trial was bogus they don't know the articles of impeachment were bogus they all know what every single Democrat senator knows that their vote was bogus they know what was purely political it was not in line with what the constitution has said impeachment should be about they know what you know Eric if you were talking about the fact that Mitt Romney should debate Alan Dershowitz and that we would laugh because it's never gonna have not gonna happen it's the same as climate change yes you had the one thing tank last year attempt to have a debate on climate change they brought in experts and said you know the scientist climatologist that said now look they're throwing on Tuesdays doomsday scenarios and that just isn't the case it's wrong they invited dozens of climate change activists to debate it nobody would show up nobody under cross examination the left does not want to defend what they believe in no no they don't and that's why with confidence we have said we know what we've done this a long time run hundreds and hundreds of the greatest radio stations across the country we know if we make a mistake on something as simple as when we kid about a Hogan's heroes that was the first time member we said about old in zero right or or what we were kidding them bad when we first got together well when we were first in back in two thousand five wasn't while when we started doing the show together and we Kinley said you know use the term the you of the line from animal house word was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor and we were just inundated with people the people on the left you guys secure your your you guys are just wanna be's you're even know who bombed Pearl Harbor we know it was the French exactly so it is so believe me we know we've dealt with that when if we make any type of of mistake you know read something you know but we we get something and we read it and we you know get the number wrong for certain you know if we say trillion instead of billion boom they're they're cheap you guys are no credible you got that wrong saria yeah we did done did mean it because the last thing we want to do is argue something that's not true right we don't need to do that they need to do that and so we know that every single Democrat listening right now knows that the impeachment was bogus they all do yes every single Democrat senator knows it was bogus anybody in the media the paid attention to it knows it was bogus the majority like I said when of response you know email whatever we get if somebody is trying to make the case are actually ignorant on the law ignorant on impeachment or ignorant as to what actually happened I think one of the the one call was talking about the fact that although the witnesses are all testified against trump was no they did no just the opposite no and I've used here is or when the opposite right so you know we know even your Bonaventure when in cross examination I came down what she didn't like the guy yeah she was she was upset that she was fired and and we get to Romney and the discussion on Romney and your work and I were just having a during the top of the hour and you're trying to make the point look he knows it's not constitutional and I agree with you I got you this is this is where you try to get well what's the motivation behind it you just tear down the the what's more what's more what would lead what would be left on the table if you if the knowns take those off the table what's left we know that he knows the constitution we know that right we know that he does this whole thing was bogus we know that so it was about one thing his hatred for the president it's that simple his trolling it's the equivalent of trolling because tell me where the risk is in Utah I'm convinced he's not gonna run for a second term I maybe maybe I'm wrong I believe he's one and done as senator from Utah but tell me where where does that red put everything on the on the table and what's most likely he just has a huge dislike or hatred for this president because he had a story here even as arguments fell apart we claim the trump had withheld vital military funds that you didn't withhold he didn't know what hit them but we didn't eight here's a quote Corp corrupting election to keep oneself in office is perhaps the most abusive and destructive violation of the oath of office that I can imagine what one well there was no election it was corrupted in no way no national security interest the Wall Street journal here if their analysis no security interests were jeopardized because other senators and advisers persuaded Mr trump to release a military aid all even challenge out from the Wall Street journal I don't know that for a fact no no and now here's the other theory that I that I didn't include go high I know that there were people encouraging him senator Johnson or whatever yes I know this is necessary right but I don't know that that's why he made the ultimate decision I don't know that I don't have the testimony that gets me to that point precisely that I would need though the one theory that I have not put on the table is is maybe the the most obvious that we missed Mitt Romney is a robot what what Linda Hamilton from terminator two you know I believe it and you had that for a long time he has and it because it's true can I get sued for that please sumi Mitt Romney go ahead well and here's what happened I think Adam Schiff reprogrammed his his his explanation was so weak console falls yeah so easy to tear through yeah that you sit there and you say well it can't be it meant more read more Mitt Romney is smarter than this mmhm he was always he was re program right he knows that's not that he's no that's not the truth so you get to the point if it wasn't constitutional and it wasn't legal what drove him to do that exactly is this like for his residence like what do you want to make college dislike hatred ever to whatever I you know I again I can't get in somebody's mind but when you break it down and say but every argument in cross examination of Mitt Romney's explanation you can tear to shreds yeah so then what was it afterwards and so when people come to that conclusion I can understand them coming to the conclusion one thing I can tell you without question without getting into his mind he is wrong constitutionally yes and he's wrong on the facts that he actually stated on the Senate floor as to what happened he was inaccurate in his analysis when when you set aside your critical thinking skills and your knowledge of the constitution and put it behind your distrust your dislike or your hatred I don't know how I don't know how to do that I don't I don't know what drives you to do that because you can see he could still go back to his home state and say look I didn't I think that was not the right call to make I would have done it but it did not rise to impeachment it did not rise to to removal when you start talking about the fact that by the way that he was grappling over it you know that this was this was such a tough decision on I had to make the right decision for my kids when you start talking like that you know you're trying to justify your vote yes I wouldn't have to say that no I would have to bring in my family or anything nope it was easy right what I mean it was tough either he did it a read either he did something that was impeachable or not stand up and be a man don't sit there in a book because my my family and it was tough stock toss what are you teaching your family about the constitution right and where and when he started doing that I said wow he's tried to justify his vote yes because he knows it's bogus yes

Barr directs federal government to reinstate death penalty, schedule the execution of 5 death row inmates

"Penalty. The book was turned into the academy award winning film starring susan sarandon and sean penn her new book. Doc is just out this week. It's called river of fire. My spiritual journey sister helen prejean also the founder of survive a victim's advocacy cacique group in new orleans. She continues to council not only prisoners on death row but also the families of murder victims sister helen per sean. It's great to have view back here right <hes> congratulations on your book as you here in the last week's surprise announcement of the attorney general william embar that they are re basically restoring the federal death penalty and they immediately said they would kill five five prisoners who've been on federal death row and then in the wake of the past so in the dayton killings saying bar just announcing that he will <hes> particularly go after mass shooters in this country. It may be that many people agree with him. What are your thoughts well. I'm not surprised that we're embar. Did this or the trump administration wants to expedite federal executions. It's is their whole way of approaching everything that the way is through violence to try to solve social problems. The federal death penalty is not going to a. b. Any more equal justice under law then the st death penalties have been the mood in the country is to shut the death penalty down i in practice actes and then gradually state by state to repeal it. The way that federal death penalty has always worked. It's been up to the discretion of individual federal prosecutors secures so we've had side by side whereas in manhattan in new york federal prosecutors never went for the death penalty over in texas they were always going for the death breath penalty and this will be no different so i'm not at all surprised they're doing it. They also seem to have no understanding about how the courts work. They can can claim all they want that. They're gonna fast track this and speed up these executions but there is the constitution and there are the appeals and so i've been talking to a federal defenders of these cases and of course they're going to do everything they can't to save their clients life and your new book the you it. It's more of a recounting of your life story in terms of how you're your own journey from a child in louisiana. What's suit. Could you talk about how you you developed. I in in your ministry <hes> in in when you decided to go into prison ministry yeah yeah i mean it's called river of fire and the epigraph in it is from saint bonaventure. Ask not for understanding ask for the fire fire. The fire part was when the passion and my own soul erupted that i can't just ask god to solve the problems of the world are it just be charitable to the people around me but that the deepest dimensions of the gospel of jesus called me to justice so i got involved with poor people in new orleans african americans who became my teachers helped me understand what white privilege is helped me understand what institutional racism and it's while while i was in that soil in that terrain living among african american people struggling against poverty and racism. I got an invitation one day to write a man on death row. I i never dreamed it was going to be executed. It was in the early eighties and we hadn't had an execution in twenty years a wrote a letter to he wrote back in two and a half years years later he was executed and that's the fire because i describe it in the preface. In the book they killed a man with fire fire. One night they strapped him in wooden chair and pumped electricity through his body until he was dead. His killing was a legal act. No oh religious leaders protested the killing that night but always there are saw it with my own eyes and what i saw set my soul on fire a fire that burns me still so i- traced my journey of spiritual awakening from private religion being apolitical. I pulled it a call to rolling up my sleeves and getting engaged with if justice is going to come then we have to be the ones to do it and in our democracy in our country so i've had constant dialogue with mike church the catholic church people first of all also the hark but mostly host the people and i've seen how that dialogue pays off finally on august second two thousand eighteen after sixteen hundred years pope francis declared under no conditions. Could we ever trust governments to execute their citizens so we need love your your country. When you love your church you keep up constant dialogue of what needs to change and helping to make that change happen. I wanted to go back in time to that film. <hes> that so rock this nation <hes> dead man walking <hes> that starred susan sarandon and sean penn <hes> based on your first book. I wanted to go to a trailer of that film. John
