"bomani" Discussed on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz

"Day I'm hiding so Charles Barkley He pees in the shower and also says shockingly that he pees in the shower even when he's not taking a shower. Bomani Jones eviscerated Tony. Who the hell is Tony earlier in the show now Mike Golic junior wants the smoke evidently, so You feel confident here making the argument Mike for Peeing in the shower. Yeah listen. This is a lot like a mud football game where I know. I'm going against the better athletes, but now he's wandered into my domain, and so I feel like I can bring him down to my level and beat him in the muck where I'm used to play okay well before Bomani. Just what's the argument? You're making on behalf of it, not being total savagery. All toilet is especially. I was thinking about this, too. If you think about like a day involved in all of this, all the toilet really is is a shower set just on a smaller scale right like watch the major different outside of a shower, actually much larger. There's much more room for air and there's constant running water like when you go to the bathroom and Dan I. Don't you know we know each other kind of well but I don't know you know when you go to the bathroom and you're. You're taking a P.. D. Awash everything involved when you're. Bay The toilet, Bomani. What are you have? I don't bathe in a toilet. What do you have from Mike Golic Junior. I just want to start by saying that my producer on my podcast can't get Charles de hit back. Charles go hit somebody talk about show number one number two I want to ask again why you shower. Peers are so insistent, not only that it's okay to do, but that everybody else is simply live. 'cause you shame yourself. That's why you know this is ridiculous. You know this is pathetic. A shower is kind like a toilet, except I don't stand in deported Mike I'm not getting the toilet for the purpose of getting clean. You are intentionally taking weight and putting it into the shower. Does that not seem stupid to you? I'm taking it to the cleanest place in my bathroom. Have you guys ever stood around? Beckons. Breath you are, you are taking waste to the cleanest place into bathrobe. How are you supposed to keep it the cleanest based in the road if you pay it? Because, I'm keeping myself than the Queen so i. was just getting with the Dan after you go to the bathroom, normally not washing everything involved in the process, and there's more collateral damage than we all give ourselves credit for, but in the shower I'm basically getting power-wash the whole system when I'm done I'm doing myself the biggest favor, and all this and taking care of me. I'm introducing a little ways, and it's immediately being washed down the drain with all the other cares in the world and problems I have. Point Yeah Yeah okay. You're peeing around your feet, which I feel very positive from this conversation. Saying that you watch while you're into shout what I need to understand here Dan. Why don't you call me and not Mrs Golick? Name is Christine the DEMOB tweet. Stuff to her because I feel like as soon as you find out about, this key is going to be terribly ashamed. Find out that somehow raises otherwise talented, responsible, hard, working young man who Kitt just peak before or after he gets out of the show that I that that's all these why you do it it. It's okay you rationalize on the back yard. Wise Okay when you're first, started doing it nude. It was silly. You know you do something that you weren't supposed to. So then you have to come back around and try to retrofit it and. And try to say well actually now that I think about it that I know you in a room that is probably over one hundred degrees because you have the heat of the shower. That is there. I feel confident that your aim is not as good as yourself believe it to be, and you're looking down and our round. Your feet is urine. It's GonNa. Get into the drain at some point, but I'm pretty confident up on your feet before I just feel confident making that point because nothing about you indicate that you get it right the first time. Listen, Bomani, I I. I WANNA. Say so in all of this because I see the way you're trying to frame it and you're trying to make it seem like I'm out here doing the bad thing, I'm I'm the barbarian I'm, but why would? You call before. Are you saying that sometimes? It doesn't feel good to be bad. Excellent asking you, could you look in the mirror while you're on the cell phone and say these things without laughing at yourself? Could you do it? I do it every day my. This is the difference but money I wouldn't have this argument with you about anything else. Because obviously, in all these other worldly matters, you are far more well-suited to discuss all these things, but I in the mirror every day, and I share back in a man who was part of P. Nation in the shower, I in long and hard. We've had a lot of thoughtful conversations, and we have always come back to. This is the best course of action because we need this. Because toilet time is the last bastion of American Freedom and the Lord we are going to move it into the shower on occasion. 'CAUSE we're there. We go to bed. On the couch. There's a reason why you referred to it as toilet time, not simply literacy. You call it toilet top because you're supposed to do this toilet. Like you did it yourself, you know that this is absurd. Ridiculous behavior and the worst part about this is. Let's be honest about this guy's. Eighty percent of you own that poll. Say that this is which I'll do right you save shop. Shout, okay coop on matters such as these. Whose opinion do you really trust more? A bunch of stank in dudes or women's right, generally speaking, generally speaking, okay 'cause all I'm going to ask is this if there are any women who listen to this show, which I mean I'm sure there are a couple. Ask them how they feel about you shower peers, right? This is just like which first date you don't mention by the way I see in the shower. You're not going to do that, you know why 'cause it's nasty and you notice. She don't think he's nasty and she ain't GonNa. Call you back. Mani! I just before this interview was texting with two of my female friends who are married to one another who both in the shower. Who are both Roche our? Reporting brew I I have to say I don't know how in the world I'm supposed to respond to that. You, just you just. Thinks. That I was expecting to for his marriage. Direction I saw this going. Let alone the back. In the shower while they're there, and all that tells me it's Mike..

"Participating carquest, though gauges see stores for details for all the latest headlines and information tune into sportscenter allnight, ESPN radio all throughout the day also money. I am not someone who very often makes his way into the mockery of others and their physical appearance I just need the audience to know for the last eight minutes I. have simply been unable to shake. The visual image of STU gods making his way to the shower in full waddell. Nude. Looking for love. The lack of effort and Billy. Billy, what I'm sorry. I have not been able to scrub this. Eight minute. Hold on a second. You don't make fun of other people's appearance. Have you heard of fact Chris? Paul segment questioning Brian Win. Horses repelling ability also earlier today. Wait a minute. That's not fair at all. I did not spend a whole segment doing I simply made the image for the audience of Brian Win Horses a Navy Seal Wearing too tighten outfit scaling a wall, but I started it with. Zach Lowe an ability defense. You did bring it to Brian. This. Is funnier. Not even Brian would dispute that. We push every NCAA tournament a march sadness tournament that's built on what people look like and making fun of them for that fair enough. None of them are very few of them other than Mike Leach and a crop circle again. Our new though and wildly. And I I'm having trouble doing the show right now. Because to God's is, he's wet. He's glistening, he is. He's looking for. And I. Just don't Look at God's way I. I've never imagined Ed okay, but I feel like basically the place there were in is a slightly stretched out. Denney Devito. So. Abby takes bads now. Couple of reasons I can't fit in the bath with abby and I can't get into the bathroom more it's. Really Mac men seven. Oh man okay. So. This happened earlier in the show where. There was a chat going on a group chat. If you don't know me, my can. Stugatz are at the studio at the Cleveland or everyone else is at their homes, and the way that we're communicating communicating is so through a zoom group chat, and so there was a lot of trepidation before Tony ventured out to argue on behalf of the peeing against Bomani Jones, and so, what Roy Bellamy has in the screen of the group chat is simply this. You, sure you want that smoke. And then the next thing you see from Roy Bellamy is told you. told you that you didn't want that smoke now. Mike Golic Juniors. Saying he wants that smoke Mike Golic junior saying he wants to argue with Bomani Jones about whether it's okay for people to be peeing in the shower. As evidently eighty percent of our audience things, we have not had a situation like this since sitting and standing wipers I have to be so careful when I say that because that's sitting were given what we're talking about is dangerous, sitting and standing wipers. Last time we've arrived at a topic that has people this inflamed. Golic texted me. I, WanNa piece of bow on the shower P., IRA back to him. You're the bravest man in the world. And he said let me be clear only on this one topic. I got him here I. Don't have them anywhere else, but I got here at so I don't know what you guys ought to do with it, but Chris pointed out in a group chat. Your twitter Avatar is making fun of how Mark Mangino looks at. The rule that you have until the end of the segment to walk back and take at its incorrect. Would you like to take advantage of this? I, don't make I. Don't make fun of the appearances of okay. Look needed a segue to get into nudes. waddling into the shower, okay, fine fine, everybody. Okay, you virtue. Incessantly came. People look, that's right. I did say that Mike Gundy went to went to that press conference in one thousand, nine, hundred eighty three trans. Yes, our most popular segment is absolutely making fun of the way everyone looks. I'll do it again. And your twitter, Avatar smart. Has Been since? I mean you know how many people think it's? And the only reason that it's Markman Gino is because he standing next the orange bowl mask in the orange bowl mascot is not as round totally fair for you guys to say that I've been making fun of Mark. Mangino the former Kansas coach for fifteen years. Wallowing Naked Stu. Gods headed towards the shower where one is and I can't scrub it off me. Is the part that I. Keep telling you guys I don't know whether this happened to you. Put It on the poll at Lebatardshow. Did you imagine through? God's waddling nude to the shower looking for love? So I. Don't know whether we're going to have golic and Bomani Jones on together to argue this, but we'll find out together at some point before the end of the show. Charles, Barkley will join us at noon. The thing I did want to ask you about those guys on a serious note. When Bill monning ask the question. Why are we talking about the t shirt, and not the following part, because the following part to me is interesting when you hear about the injustices about college football players, using their bodies, and not getting paid and everything that happens in college football. If coach is threatening that player. To send him back to the ghetto. There is an overlord of a plantation feel to that that doesn't feel very good, and it's confusing to me why? Why would concentrate about the t shirt instead of concentrating on that part because the humanizing aspect? If you really mean black lives, matter right that is not something that's coming out of your mouth. If that's something that's in your heart, if black lives matters in your heart, you're not an overlord at a plantation telling a kid that if he doesn't play better for you, you're going to send him back to the desperation of the ghetto. Like that is It's it's. It's super problematic, and it's confusing to me that we we choose the easier path of focusing on a t shirt and an all right news network, and that's all he apologized for by the way correct was the t shirt and Bonnie's pointing over here and saying Hey, what about this over here? Isn't this more problematic? And it is confusing to me why we're talking about one and not the other. He apologizes for the T shirt. The other thing is the thing that requires more of an apology. If it's true, the other thing is how we got the free. T. Shirt, right? Be that complicated, and you actually set it as you were explaining it. The T shirt is an easy place at an easy thing for people to criticize and for us to discuss, it's easy. It's? How could you wear that at the same time like this? Say That consciously, though you are really choosing willful ignorance, if you're listening to what I'm saying here, and still making about a flag, or about a t shirt, just looking in the wrong places where you have these helpless players, okay, powerless powerless as any you will find in sports, because the and the entire construct works against them, we espn need college football back. The media is conservative. The media that covers college football has largely been conservative through time, and the entire structure of the thing leans against the powerless player. Player. The powerless player finally speaks up in a way that's public at a new time in America, and we're still looking at the wrong. Damn thing. We're still looking at the t shirt, and hey, how about this awful thing that exists in college football where you've got these coaches or.

"Serena Williams has confirmed that she will compete in US Open. The day to the French Open at Roland Garros have been confirmed and we'll be held over three weeks from September twenty first to October eleventh. And finally Major League eating and the Nathan's famous hot dog. Eating contest announced that this year's event will go on as planned, but in a private location would no fans. For all the latest headlines and information tune into sports center on ESPN radio all throughout the day Bomani, Jones, had something for Chris Cody and Tony and eighty percent of our listeners will get to that in a second, but if you want to be more informed about what's going on in America, and also, there are plenty of laughs to be had. It's not all some of the societal stuff that you guys are tired of the right time with Bomani. Jones is where you go. If you want to be both informed and you can laugh a little bit as well Thank you for joining us Bomani. Let's start with Mike. Gundy and what happened there the weird. Videos? Are you here to question sincerity or you here to teach people about? Keep your eye on the ball. Why are we still doing the T shirt thing? Yeah we if I'm going to question his daddy like we all and watch him struggle hard as hell to read off, prop like either struggle with sincerity or a struggle with literacy is got to be one of the two that do 'cause I I've never seen anybody look more like they were like a couple weeks ago were given Davos Windy Hill, because he had something written down prepared that he was reading and man like reading. Get, you're going to prepare your statement. Mike Gundy looked like a hostage for real in the when he thought he looks like a hostage, and no, we all keep. It's not even a matter of keeping an eye on the ball on this one. Because we wound up here in the first place, but these discussions because he were that you share for one of Eric. Do I. Don't really care about that to be honest I don't that. He watches one American news I do care that. He gave him a testimonial two months ago, or he talked about how they're. The only ones report the real news and suddenly he has. Has, no idea what one America do this? That doesn't make any sense part. They're really gets me. Though after this happened, players came out guy saying even called me thug. He threatened to send me thin guys back to South Dallas. They send us back to the ghetto. Why is nobody talking about that like you really think that trooper? Hubbard saw shirt. It was like we need changes in this program and the changes made by Mike, gundy. We're at a different shirt. Yeah, that part. Why is that getting missed? Why is it Is it just easier to concentrate on the fabric? The same way that it is with Colin Powell Colin Cowherd Colin Kaepernick. To just make it about the fabric instead of the more difficult conversation. I think part of it is there I also think just generally speaking. Why folks want to give each other the benefit of the doubt on this as much as everybody talks about wanting to have some measure of progress on these matters, the first step toward that progress is stop Willy Daily, just giving people the benefit of the doubt, so people do not want to consider that. Maybe maybe my Gundy, a good. DO PEOPLE DON'T WANNA consider this summer with Mike. Gundy is done. Who knows how many people look at themselves and considered that? Maybe they've said the same thing, and then they wanna cut them slack, but I was stunned by how many people that I saw that went up on twitter like now. That's a real apology. What what exactly did he apologize for and I I say to somebody who doesn't think. He necessarily needed to apologize for the shirt war. That's who he is. That's what he's about. The consequences of that manifest itself in different ways, but that that that right there was never the quote unquote problem at least not for me. What do you think the last thirty six hours or so have been like behind the scenes because we went from a hastily, put together video where Chuba was the only one apologizing to a more profuse apology where something was realized behind the scenes that was insufficient about the first video. I think something was realized by the People in the office at Oklahoma State and they were like Oh so this didn't do the job that we thought that it would do I. Tell You I've talked. I've I've told this. And I'm not patting myself on the back I'm just giving you an indicator of how quick I think it. Is that department moves when it comes to things they to. To be crisis, after Gundy had that media availability reggae testimony to one American. He talked about how to play. Hurry up and get back to the state. Beat the money from playing football. I did a shot for outside the lines that explained like look man. The students need to be your bigger concern. They're not going to be concerned for the state. State's supposed to be concerned with them. By the middle of that afternoon on a Saturday Oklahoma state put it out that my gundy was apologizing for what he said when they feel like it ain't looking good in front of people, they move fast on it, so it seemed like Shuba put that thing out at like two o'clock in the afternoon on It was Monday. By five o'clock, they had a video out. The video did not go over in the way that they thought he would boom the next day. Another video because I think what they figured out is is if the controversy POPs up on a day if we can do something that same day that we can probably make it go away and would work with Gundy, because people were just like wow, he really gave an apology on that with right. Just because he said the words, black lives matter like that's become a thing on the. The checklist they just be sure to go out there and say black lives matter because it seems like now. That's a requirement that people have say right so then you go ahead and say that, and now it becomes a real apology. Ignoring that there was some the things that got the strength coach fired at Iowa are things they players alleged against my buddy. He's GonNa. Keep moving. Bomani Jones with us here on ESPN Radio Dan. Laughed earlier this week when I said Colin, Kaepernick will play in the NFL this year. Roger Goodell has said that he would endorse. It supported NFL team. They should sign Colin Kaepernick. Do you think our we'll play in the NFL this year? No. which owner is going to take that one for the team? By which older is going to be pressured into doing this? Because clear, they don't WanNa do it of their own free. Will I don't think there's any individual owner? At least as far as I can tell, that's been like I wish I could sign college, but I I mean I have not seen that man I mean and by the way if that would odor, did WanNa do it because the other owners were pressure him then that dude is a coward, Dean Smith unilaterally decided to integrate the Atlantic coast conference and what year. Year was nineteen sixty six. I believe it was just didn't ask. Nobody's just showed up with Charlie Scott. And said he's GonNa. Come right. We've seen this happen. Branch Rickey integrated. Major League Baseball. He up in decided that that was the thing that he was going to you. Tell me that he's white man in the forties, and in the sixties had the courage to buck back against an established status segregation, but not one of these owners who actually was decide that could be like. Yeah, I'm just GONNA. Go ahead and do that. Come on at. The right time with Bomani Jones, you will get a lot of thoughts that you're not hearing anywhere else your shocked and mortified. You judged me yesterday. Because eighty percent of our listeners, you you, you said my listeners are better than your listeners because eighty percent of my listeners in the shower. So. Who Do you want to attack here, is it? Chris is toning. Is it just the audience? Who Do you want to attack? All of them. Every single one of these people as I told you, you know what's right next every shower I've ever seen. A Toilet Right there and a guy like what what do you do? If you're already shower, you have to go. Yup, can't wait your bladder so weak that you realize you have to be about time over. You just can't hold it or you didn't realize it before you got in the shower..

"Podcast. You need to be listening to on this subject, but before i. I talked to you about some of the serious stuff. Here, Bo, Mike and gods. We're having an argument during the break. and Stugotz go ahead and explain it to Beaumont to see if he can help us sort this out. We were discussing whether or not there's anything Roger Goodell could do to kind of make a difference how people take him seriously take his statement seriously and Mike it, I. We're having that debate now. Mike flatly said that I. Think Mike. I don't WanNa misrepresent at this point. There's probably nothing he. He could do I presented a scenario Bomani that I would like to present to you Mike. Is that fair for on your side? Yeah you saw the reaction to the statement. I I don't think there's anything Roger Goodell can do to escape what he did. Okay, so hold on so Bomani so I guess you're gonNA. Make a verdict for us here. Rights to God's in terms of because. Do you believe before we go into this Bomani that you that he can do anything that there is something that he could do. and. And the reason why I put it in those terms I had. It has long been my understanding and I think this is reinforced by the Joe, Lockhart vs CNN then for example, the matter Kinda Kaffir Nick Fidel once Kaffir Nick to be back in the league. I think on matters like the Rooney rule. Goodell wants this to get better like he's not the bad guy on this stuff. What he is though is the representative of these owners. Hey, man, you got a lot of money. You made a lot of cash. If you are ride to deal with, these things really matter to. To you, I would think that being the commissioner of the NFL to do like ten twelve years ago, we got all the cover of Time magazine as being Mr. Law and order and there's some kind of share you can stand up and say what is obvious year like the NFL statement is they? Put it out my buddy Joel Addison. A slave made a very good point. You pay very careful. Attention to statements that are being believed the one they jumps out. That doesn't fit. This mold is uconn women's statement, which went pretty hard I thought they not saying the word. Police. Like, that's the one place. All of these entities have made the call the line that they're not really trying to go. To is any direct level of criticism of the police? Even though what we're talking about is almost entirely about police. Right, so we're GONNA. Talk around and we're trying to talk in this place for people started talking about how bad they feel and everything else. But nobody wants to say anything against police, please go back like their consequences to take an offensive against the police I was stunned that the President University of Minnesota says she was going disconnect their relationship. Relationship in Minneapolis Police Department is after this is doing. We're called going to be there so that police department like that was to me an incredibly brave thing of her to do because nobody wants to come at the police. Look at Dell is in a position where people listen to him. And if he really wants to say something that matters, he can do that in a big thing that he can say. Is We as the League? We got to do a better job of taking care of what are our obvious issues racist right? Because one thing and he also is systemic. Systemic racism is the buzz where Riley. Somebody's somebody took social media sociology one on one and a while ago. They heard like you know. We got a bigger one person. We've gotTA talk about systemic racism, so everybody just got throw that word out there without eating. See what it means. You can take that if you want to to me that there are no individuals that are responsible for this is just racism is just the machine that goes, but that was the individual that was on George. Floyd's neck for example. The individual believed that he can do that because police officers. Officers Typically get away with killing people there, so you get two levels. One of them is your belief that you could get away with doing it. That's why you did, but that's not the thing that makes you want to do it right there. Clear moral imperatives that are in place, and if the Dell decided that wanted to stand on the moral imperative in spite of who was bothered by the fact that you're willing to say, something bad is correct. That is something that he could do. It's probably not something that he will do, but it's absolutely something that he could do. Wow. Well said but I kind of feel like the comedy. Kinda got away from us there. We were trying to do like A. I.

"bomani" Discussed on The Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz

"Guard JR SMITH IS SEEN in video published by TMZ sports on Sunday beating up a man who allegedly damages truck during the protest in Los Angeles of the death of George Floyd. What are we then? UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones tweeted Sunday that he plans to relinquish the belt and take time off from the octagon. What happened. You just always make that q only that Kua g relinquishes is one. You consistently get wrong because you make you WANNA. Make it a pasta. You're at. Jones I'm tired of you. Give up the belt already. All right I mean Jeez. Yeah, everyone says you're the best path for pound fighter. They've ever seen you WANNA fight. Don't fight all right. Dramatic video this weekend to of him taking spray cans away from protesters. John Bone shown on the street, carrying about the optics of the people peacefully protesting and these other people that are there for whatever reason spray painting, so probably not the best time to take a shot at bones. Some much needed good pr really bad bad luck for that one spray painter. They listened. They listen. And finally David Rush, who at this point should hold the Guinness? World Record for holding the most Guinness World Records now holds the record for drinking a leader of one hundred percent lemon juice. In sixteen point five seconds, the previous record was seventeen point one seconds Russia's broke over one hundred Guinness records to promote stem education. For all the latest headlines and information tune into sports center on ESPN radio all throughout that so for years the joke with Bomani Jones has been he's gone around the country as an authority story, and very few people know sports and history. The way that Bomani does and so they play, or we play a game called Aska Negro. It's been for fifteen years that we've found ourselves. It's not our game Mike. Don't like what are you cringing about? It's not our game. Bomani gave a Amani is Bomani Bonnie's game. Could that context on the front next time before you just jump into the deep end there? Okay, thank. The cringe, Dan regardless. Okay, thank you for your help Bomani. Though has taught me a lot just about race relations in this country, and we will get to the serious stuff in a second, but I always like to laugh about some of the funny stuff can be found so what? What's the? Where's the funny stuff in my allowed to like the person walking through riot with a full cheesecake, the Jr Smith story where like what am I what am I allowed to laugh at here? I think you're allowed to laugh at the lady enrichment. Decide to are some. When the cops rolled up, had seen that one. No I don't think I. Had! COPS! They always say there's like like shot. She just works on it. I had to be honest. What I tell that did not look like the first time that she used that particular escape mechanism. There's also the idea that this is not the time to get caught stealing somebody's right. Because if there's anything we all believe generally gives you the right to beat the hell out of somebody. Is You go? Go Somebody's stealing your car the last time I ever called in my life. This is like fifteen years ago. My standing ready to go fight somebody without even thinking about it I thought some breaking into my car when in reality he too old to go cavalry, and he had just gone to the wrong. What now imagine that you're trying to steal somebody's car a break into car whatever it is and it's. It's called. That's a big like you just gave players. They're really big, but you just don't think about it 'cause they're not football player. These dudes are huge AJ audience. What we all wear that we wanted to do more than nothing else. We wish somebody would try to break into my car when I'm there and you saw what the end result was. The. Yeah, no I. I. Don't know if you saw, but now the move whether it's Earl Thomas or JR Smith, is they? Get the call from TMZ, and they just go on video and they're like look. This is coming out and I'm telling you right now. What happened this? Do this to my car and beat the Holy Al Out of him, so he takes all the steam out of the TMZ store. Yeah they can't. They tried to make a connection to the large issue that I don't think it's like it's not like Jr Winter Park is street in the middle of the march. Right if somebody broke, it is car this scene to be put aside street. It sounds like somebody is simply thought. He witnessed a target of opportunity, and he found out that he like. It's like when people find out that they broke into the wall and House Right, oh. Hey there, but he recruited your good. That's kind of what happened here. Bomani Jones the right time with Bomani Jones I'm sure you're GONNA WANNA go check it out if you WANNA actually get informed, and if you really WanNa, hear a perspective in terms of wherever it is you fall on this stuff I'm telling you that Bomani is better on the subject of race than anyone I have heard in the history of our networks. Check out. The right time with Bomani Jones so now the serious stuff like what? You're kind of made of wires so I. Don't know how much you hurt. With with this stuff and you're? You're not very angry or motion when speaking about it. So. Was this just another matter of fact okay? This happened again or was this situation different because you can see America burning all around it. Okay, so one thing that's worth noting about this is I don't watch the videos anymore right and I tell people about and didn't. Seem convoluted, but I think you understand where I'm coming from when nine eleven happened I lived in California I just moved there, and I was staying at a place where all sleeping on the couch that did not have cable and did not have Internet, and so I didn't watch anything that happened with nine eleven, because I had all kinds of things do until like three or four o'clock in. In the afternoon right so like the people who have like sudden shock of scenes. The plane hit the towers and stuff like that like I can't relate to that feeling because I don't have it. I never saw that image until years later right, but that's part of why nine eleven resonate so much with people they they remember seeing as it happened, and all the stuff that came with it. I'm not watching these videos so much anymore. So the visceral reaction people had to. It is something that I don't really have, but I can tell has affected people, because apparently it's like nine minutes long, and you hear this dude, ask and force mother, and he's coughing up blood and everything else and I think that there was a very particular violent and like sadism that was involved with it that has resonated with people in a much different way to where I look out the window in new. York and I see the people that are marching behind this and it's mostly white people that are in the group that are out there. There right like this has become a a diverse coalition of people on this issue. That I've never seen like as much as we laugh about do with Boeing Arrow or salt lake. City, you may have seen that went on the Internet. Let's talk about the fact that they had a blast matter. Rally in, Salt. Lake City. Can I get the population stats on that one like with the we are at the point where who taw is marching for black people and I have to say that they're marching. Four black people 'cause. I can't definitively say marketing marching with black people because I don't know how many Black People in Utah. We'll wait a minute. This is a moment of Congress. Then is what you're saying like when you're when you're looking out your window, and and some of your allies are finally. Your ally is yeah, it's it's that's that's where I think this is GonNa. Wind up being important if this proves to be inflection court and I think that there's argument to be made that we've seen something shift like think about this for a second if you are a person in media and And you don't have an end.

Coronavirus and golf: How the professional tours are affected

"Let me ask you this about the tour and like all this stuff is going because you talked about the guys being on the golf course and. I really don't blame these news. We try to play golf because if they look if I stay away from people doing nothing else then I might as well get at here but like how do you think the tour is going to be affected by all of this there are affected a bunch of one? They still haven't even postponed or canceled events. That scheduled may twenty first the ink at colonial. And you know one of the events that that they're talking about trying to move since they moved. Somebody majors the US Open now where it got moved. Its date is open. So Jack Nicklaus tournament the memorial wants to move out of its slot into where the US Open was but it's still scheduled to go on in. That's the last week of. May which doesn't seem possible to that's going to happen. They hope and help or like the idea that the US Open is saying. Now we're not going to be here. Is somebody else's like that all right? Yeah or tournament like the open championship which isn't scheduled till July is like we out all next year in. May there like an eighty news like Nah. And that's the thing Bo you know man. I'm I'm optimistic. I try to see the silver lining. I tried to look at the good in everything but realistically to think we're going to be playing in June is just it. I don't see it happening. I just don't see us being ready to play golf in six weeks when there are still places that are on complete lockdown. I don't understand how they think that they're going to pull this off now even in my opinion first week of August which is when the PGA championship is supposed to happen. Even that seems to me as a more hopeful than realistic thing. Not only because we don't know where we be as a country as far as where this pandemic virus is by then. We have no idea whether it is going to be a phase two or phase three and the fact that the PGA championship is still scheduled to be held in San Francisco. Yes I if xactly Gulf has never been the first to do anything so to think that golf would be the first sport to come back. Golf is a sport that is more image conscious than the NFL. That I know that sounds crazy but think about this. You are not going to hear the golf as Elliot Nothing. Have you ever heard of a Golfer have you heard of a Golfer getting a DUI other than Tiger Woods? 'cause it was tiger so he's bigger than just the Gulf News but have you ever heard of a PGA tour pro given the Dui. Like you think it ain't happened right exe- so the thought of Gov being the Guinea pig like man. We'll bring all our guys back. Because you know golf will be the easiest thing for social distancing. Yes inside the ropes. It's easy for social distancing Hauer player's GonNa get tournament how litter power. They literally getting from the airplane to hotel. Where we're staying. Where are they going to empty? Who who changing the sheets right and then when you get to the gut like getting a rental car you can rent a car from somebody. I'll be working rental counter and then when you get to the golf course you just pulling out in the Congo and straight to the driving rains. You're going into the locker room who's WHO's opening locker room door. Who's working in you? Go to the bathroom cleaning up. Who changed sort of paper or you won't eat. Who's WHO's GonNa Food? Who's bring the food who stole in the trash out like? Who's doing the dishes like those? And that's not you ain't got to the courts yet now. You get course okay. We're GONNA put this on TV. Well who's filming? You've got to have a camera do. Okay Yeah we got a camera guy but the camera guys not the producer. Oh Yeah. Where's the camera picture on bow to? We need court to go to the trump who's trump who drove the trump who's producer who's directed where those people at Lake everything that goes into a production of a golf broadcast. Ken Be even bigger than Football Basketball Baseball and hockey. Because at least those venues are all a one static place so you could put cameras up in a stadium and field ain't GonNa Change. It doesn't work like that with golf when one week. The golf course looks like this in the next week is completely different. Everything gotta move is a traveling circus so to think that golf would be the one to go. Hey we'll come out. I will do a I. The Gulf was the second to last the shut it down. It was golfing NASCAR so in the long run when Gov comes back there I think of is gonNA come back without fans like I think every other sport will at first and I think golf will do okay in the long run. But I think we're GonNa wait longer than what we think for golf to come back. But and here's my silver lining. This is also where I love. What the Masters did where the Masters said we're coming back in November. The masters is the last thing on the schedule. Movember Ninety two fifteen and again talk about buffer nate. Just out not only did they come back. And we're GONNA do this in November. They also have already said. If you've got a ticket Komo come on in you know other sport has been no other waning. Tried to say only Augusta will be like not only. Are we putting the masses on? We're letting the Patriots into but we won't make that Egg Salad. We're going to make those divisional tea. Sandwiches come gifts on and I think November. Not only is realistic. But I love that. The masters is at least for me. The biggest beacon at the end of this dark tunnel. I tell you this though. Y'All come back I ain't GonNa meet you there right like they say like they just go be somebody out there. That's like now I'm good is somebody's wife. That's like yo you ain't going out on this trip like his eight nine. This ain't the Olympics though. That's what's funny. I remember when Owen down for the Olympics. Zeka you know guys were like I know plenty of dudes whose girlfriends and wives would like if you go. Don't come on you know. He you know he might put us in. The spot and jazz were like. I'm not even going to go I. I'm any worth you know. I'M I won't be happy home really but the masters though let's say right now there's plenty of dudes if that came down at the masters they are going to be like. Yo suitcases right over. She she she she. She want me to call Uber. Or because I'm going to the mass you don't WanNa go. You Ain't gotta go but one of us is going well. That tate is last thing I would ask you because I just thought of this while we were here. Are these golfers paying their caddies out like how I still pay my housekeeper? Even though she's not keeping the House I got the same thing Nancy so most golfers yes are trying to take care of their caddies in some way or form. We have to remember how cat is get paid. Caddies get a weekly paycheck and then you get a percentage of what the Golfer wins. But if the government's not winning anything where it becomes difficult is for. We all know the big super rich dude by all the big name guys like rory no Tiger Dustin Johnson of Brooks Kapka you name it Jordan Speed Rickie Fowler just Thomas Jon Rahm like those dudes of yes. They're going to be taken care of their dude with the guys who have a tough time on rookies. So the guys who came from the korn-ferry tour or the guys that this is only their second or third year on the PGA tour and they made them millions like those they could be struggling a little bit to one of the guys who I'm friends with a WHO's academy and doesn't caddy for a big named guys told me that his guy is sending them a little bit just a little bit every week just to help everybody still got bills and whatnot. So I'm sure that there are some guys that are not in a position to do that so there are probably some caddies that are hurt. But that's the world we live in right now so everybody's anxious to kind of get back to work pay

"You need to be checking out in these content starved times Bomani continues with us as stugotz. Just mentioned something interesting. Happened with the seventy sixers where it seemed like. They weren't going to pay their employees correctly. And then Joel embiid kind of shame them. And then the seventy sixers said. Never mind about that. We're GONNA fix this. What did you make of what happened? They're both well. I think that absent of him beat that the sixers decided they were gonNA put out this trial balloon and be like. Hey let's see what happens if we try to get people to give back a little money. Maybe it'll work. And then the rest of the League was sitting around like yeah. Let me know how that goes baby really late late? Y'All make this work. Maybe we'll be able to make this work and won't put out a tweet when he was like. Yeah well they want to see. If there's going to be a backlash to the respondent people like. Oh you want to see a backlash. I got you a backlash backlash came. I don't know why they thought it was going to be anything different. Backlash Kane. Now get embiid. Who's already given five hundred gs of his own money to make this happen? And then he comes with the tweet later right after it. It'd be like you know. Basically shout out to the to the sixers for not. Doing this would've patronizing Atta boy. That he hit them with. And if I'm the sixers I'm furious with this and if I'm embiid honestly if I gave one hundred. Gmo money that has caused and these billionaires out here being like yeah. We don't take money from the trainers and at will employees and everything else. I look at them funny and I guarantee they were not please what. Mp had to say. What do you think a sports organizations responsibilities are here? it depends on what you mean by responsibility. I don't think that they quote unquote owe anybody. Anything right the flip side of it for me. Is that these are the same people that when it's time to build an arena. They come ask the public for money right. They don't have any money for that. They got all the money in the world but they asked the public for money. Because they're like oh it's better for you guys if we have the arena. So why don't you put some up on this? You know what's better for all these major companies if people live right so like you can make the argument that we need to get the economy back home and even if it costs a few people. Some lives those people that died. They can't buy stuff they can't sell stuff right like your economy is not made better by people dying your economy or your business at some point this is gonna be back up and running for the sixers. These people that you talk about giving back money of you eventually are probably GonNa try to get away with not paying. You're going to need them at some point like everybody's got to do what they can to keep each other afloat and if you've got a what's the point of having a billion dollars if you're not prepared for an emergency like all the money that guy saved up is four in emergency. That's the whole point. How how would he billionaires Beta was living? Check the check? Boga talk into thank you check out his work the right time with Bomani Jones. It is absolutely worth your time. Thank you sir appreciate it all right. Stugotz. What did you make of Steve? Balmer buying the forum so that he could just basically from Madison Square Garden Company so he could basically built an entertainment complex in Inglewood and he bought it at this difficult economic time. Four hundred million dollars cash drake as just. That's just boom a suitcase suitcase in many suitcases. And do the Forum. Four hundred million dollars cash. He buys the form he is worth That is Let's think theory. That's a tenth of his worth. He is worth forty plus billion dollars so he just said okay. I'm trying to do something here with the clippers. I bought the clippers for two billion dollars. Let me do this so that I can have an entertainment complex in Inglewood. I'll trust your math on that. What I thinking was that guy's GonNa make so much money when he sells that and his team and he's also going to create just like an amusement park around an arena. Where they're gonNA to play basketball. It's going to be the nicest thing we've ever laid eyes on. I WanNa talk about something. That's happening here in Miami with the cruise line industry and with the Miami Heat owner. Micky Arison we will get into that next..

Can A 100-Year-Old Treatment Help Save Us From Superbugs?

"For months Stephanie's avenues husband. Tom Would remain hospitalized fighting for his life and losing. Yeah I was just really scared out of my mind but I knew that if I just sat back and waited then he was going to die and and I I. I needed to know that I'd done. Last thing that I could do that. I would leave no stone unturned so I hit the Internet and I did what anybody else doing my shoes. I googled it well. Luckily you know there's Google for scientists and that's called pubmed and it's this is wonderful search engine where you can put in any words and a scientific paper will pop up. And you know I punched in words like multi-drug resistance and the name of his superbug which is assassinated Bomani and popped within an hour. I found a paper that mentioned something called page therapy. So tell me a little bit about fish therapy well. phages are short for bacteria age and that is derived from the Greek word meaning bacteria eater and they are viruses that have naturally evolved to attack bacteria. "Let's start with the coverage of the Colin Kaepernick weekend fiasco as you're watching the coverage where some places you think people are getting it wrong first of all. Let's I started the fact that it's up to black path right before we did this. I was getting prepared for you. All right so he's there with you now. He's just left. But right as I was on hold he came over to the desk and Dab me up and I just wanted to make sure that you understood when I come to his purpose for you. I go to the black path that that with that in mind. The big thing is the waiver really hasn't been treated with a level of seriousness. And talking about this to me right like if if you have any deal. What's the website at the end? Somebody's like yeah. Just go ahead and sign right there and you look at it out by this. This is a problem here. That's a pretty objective thing. Being the most people could agree upon and be like enough. That'd be something that can hold you up like the whole haphazard nature of this whole thing. I don't think it's been highlighted enough because people wanna lean in on the idea. Hi Dear that if you really want to play in the NFL you'll do anything in the world. You crawl over broken glass in order to get in there and not observing just like what eight disaster planning this was for the NFL. Oh that their intentions were pure. You got any theories on why it was so haphazard yeah. I think that the commissioner wants this to happen and I and I don't wide has had to be done in such a quick time period or anything like that part confuses me but I think the Commissioner was Colin Kaepernick back in the League for people. I've talked to rise. Don't want this on his name. Hey like he does not want this to be on his legacy. And I think that that's a big part of this and he's like cool. Let's go ahead to make this happen. But then they become the NFL and there's generally incompetent as they missed this whole thing up. And then everybody's got their own hand and their own agenda and try to make this happen and I think the waiver part probably gets the jet Pash and he's like. Oh Yeah. I got something for you right here. And so we're GONNA try to slide this thing here at the end and then to try to strong arm it as a result but I do think it starts with people who do want Cabernet to be in the League but then it becomes an NFL production and they're not good at doing stuff. You think. Colin wants this to happen. No question no question. No doubt I don't I I. I don't think there's any plausible argument against it other than just cynicism but based start everything that he's done. I don't think that anybody can point to anything that he's done to indicate that he does not want to be an NFL quarterback for no other reason than they pay the prices at McDonalds. Baby where is he gonNA make money nikes making some of that. Mikey what is the fairest criticism. You've heard of you heard any fair criticism of Colin Kaepernick. Yeah well I mean I think I don't know for me on my end even if it counts as like fully criticism buck. I mean he's got a neo in the Matrix. I don't think that he jumped into this three years ago and knew that it was going in a blow up in the way that he did and then he would be kind of the front of the movement and so there have been certain misteps. I think it's fair to say that. They've made along the way in people who do business with his camp. Don't always always come away from it feeling like it was the best experience for them But I think that they are definitely figuring this all out along the way I would say like for example and I don't think I mean this kinda counts as a misstep. It's not relevant to was taking place because this was not a determining factor in how the weekend shook out but if I were advising him I probably wouldn't wear the shirt me. They probably not right like I do think a degree. It is still a job interview but this process never even got far enough to wear that that was a holdup but that was a hassle. That was the thing that created a problem. You know like those sorts. What's the thing I would think are a little needless and I would not engage in them to try to if I'm trying to get back into the NFL it there's a certain measure compromise or some of those things that I think you probably need to do especially stuff that don't matter like wishart about the defiance? How about the idea of you know? He hasn't spoken very much at all when he did speak. He says you know. Stop running you know that in instances like this people want to see even if it isn't deserved some form of broken or contrite or something something fewer degrees diluted than defiance right but the dilemma is. What's there to be contrite? For right like you gotTa do something wrong in order to be contrite and I don't think he yeah there's anything that you can really argue that he's done quote unquote wrong. I'd also say about that interview off Saturday. Imagine being the dude who had to do all this stuff in that day. Hey and you're trying to find a new facility and all this stuff and then you actually have to do this workout. where a significant part of your livelihood may hinge on the results of it? And now after all of this done you you stand in front of a bunch of people who support you in a few people who came out there and you're being asked to make some sort of statement like imagine the emotional level that you're going to be dealing with at that point. I think that what he said did was reasonably human and not incorrect. Now was it the best thing to say strategically one could argue that. It wasn't but I think that focusing on flaws in his his own strategy is a real cowardly kind of play that a lot of people are engaging in Stephen Smith was mentioning that sixty minutes away. that Colin had already prepared his own video video team his own security team which suggests that perhaps before the last minute he was planning to do something like this that would turn everything upside upside-down. Perhaps because he didn't like that. He was a forced in a moment to decide whether or not to agree to the workout and was taken or leave it Is that you feel feel like that's valid. I talked to someone close to Colin yesterday. Who says that is one hundred percent natural okay? This is another thing. I have a problem with the League is saying in in a statement statement. The League is saying we agreed to Nike Filming. Some of this stuff Nike saying we weren't doing any of this stuff. I really have a hard time believing leaving Much of anything around this when it comes to the reporting unless I hear it from anybody's mouth because what's true. I was told that the way that that particular location came to be the one that they used was that about a month ago or so they didn't know your rights camping in Atlanta and they met a dude who had access to this facility in scrambled to try to find a place for them to have the workout. They got in touch with him and he was then able to get that facility. which then actually had some hiccups after the fact And it it's interesting because I was talking to somebody in the office about this and they were like well. Why didn't he get a little bit closer to where they were already? And I was like you need to understand Atlanta the facility. There's go allow Colin Kaepernick to do. This is going to be at Riverdale. It is not going to be flowery. Branch through high. School is going to be a place where they allow him to do that. And that is not in Hall County Bomani did you. Did it. All ludicrous that all of a sudden. There's a group audition for capper. Nick when teams have had two and a half years to individually really working out here no none of us like the way the league handled the scheduling over the time. And none of it makes any sense to me because nobody was talking about this man like this the story it Kinda been dead. They hadn't taught the cavern camp in nine months. Nobody was really all this like even somebody like me where I kind of looked at it. It'd been like look. They're not going to hire him. I don't know I I don't know what to do with the story at this point because it doesn't move his wound up saying the same things over and over again. I don't have a great handle on. What moved them to behave in this way in this fashion at this time there had to be a better way for the NFL to do this but again the problem with the NFL is as much as easy to look at them and just be like Yo? Their intentions are so affairs there also so incompetent that I can't tell those things apart are you buying The reports that Jay Z was influential in making. All of that happened because of the reputation hit he was taking yes I have been told that I have not had to people. Tell me that. But I've definitely had one person and tell me that that for him and look and I would make the argument in terms of reputation. Nobody's reputation has been harmed more about this than Jay Z. Like if there's somebody that's really pushing there's because they wanna look better in the end he's the one that would have the greatest incentive now I don't necessarily know on the flip side what leverage he would have over the NFL. In order to make uh-huh do this Rogers being like you're into a solid for you I don't know maybe Bob Kraft you know they got. They got some of the rich buddies. Maybe he was able to push this but I don't think anybody else else involved in this. Needs their name to be cleaned up more than Jay Z. Because Hey man what you'll car pooled. That could be hard on your heart. What do you imagine? That's been like for him because the reports are also that he's been real. He was disappointed specifically with how that whole thing blew up this weekend. Yeah I'm I'm very curious how all of this is for him because the truth is the people that are really disappointed by Jay Z. You don't really hang out with them right. Although maybe his wife right she might be looking at him. Like look at you. I have no idea. on that from Jay z's the billionaire man like and he's in billionaire circles and those people he's probably doing just fine with them but I think that he always saw himself kind of being like Like like the prints since of the slums right. This is this is a story where you get to the top and you not supposed to do it and you like to do yourself as a person that's still connected to those people and those people looked up and we're like like we don't know if you're connected with US anymore and I don't think a guy like him ever get so rich that they stop caring about that especially when that connection is what he's been using to sell all these records it's a so long what are the objectionable according to Bomani Jones. "We're going to get to a useless sound montage Asia in a second from NFL week. Eleven the Andrew Luck memorial useless sound montage If you do not want any more Colin Kaepernick coverage average. You're going to be getting more in about ten minutes from Bomani Jones so all of you. WHO threatened to walk away from the program? Have my permission my blessing in in ten minutes. That's how you promote it Greg do you have a back in my day. Four US or as you know is predictable. The more weeks go go by you will do it less and less until quietly one day you've just quit and Expunged by Your Lazy Right. No I do not have one today. When's the last time I'm that you did one? When's the last? When's the next time you intend on doing probably been a month? It's been longer than that. It was pre honeymoon. Wasn't sure I'm not. That's the way that one's it's going to go. He said once he goes to intermittent and it. Just we'll do another one great. Thanks time now for the useless sound. Montage billy helped me out here. What are you like in this week's useless sound montage? How how awful was it to be in this dungeon with this out? I like that it's over over. And you know Mike Tomlin. After he loses doesn't like to say a lot sometimes which really makes difficult on Mike like Gimme a little only after wins. Does he do all those tapestries of military. Talk when you win. You get out of the stadium alive when you lose your died in the stadium makes it hard to produce out.

"Long before the myles Garrett Hullabaloo that made America worry about the children there was the malice at the palace Heen years ago today. I feel like we. You should always celebrate the big anniversaries around here of the greatest stories of our time. And I know that we were supposed to react fifteen years ago with a great deal of fear and consternation that perhaps the NBA players would soil your children forevermore but those children have now grown up fifteen eighteen years later into a dull to end the malice at the palace did not alter them in any way. Not even the faces of the customers who were punched by Stephen Stephen Jackson and Germania. Let's play the sound from Stephen Jackson on highly questionable just to revisit him and run our test talking in the Locker Room Room fifteen years ago today when the fight broke out in Detroit right after the brawl in the locker room. So we're setting their legs. All scratched up from I'm having over. The bleachers is redolent pump because we didn't get a couple of people we we did. We did some you know what I mean. We All said that Iran Attest Aka Metaphor apiece leads back and look mazas exercise. Do you think we're going to get in trouble just I. Ah Say we still have a job. I one of the many things that I remember about that day. Other than and Jamaal Tinsley running out on the court with a dustpan attached to a broom because he was ready to fight like the pouncey brothers always is gone test in the days afterward just immersed in scandal as this video is playing on every television in America on the morning shows rose. They showed Rauner test coming out of somewhere in his car. He stops for an interview instead of driving by in shame and then start selling his. DVD's he started selling he time selling things out of his car. And I could not have guessed fifteen years ago today that it would be wrong our test. Who would be loved? People loved from that morning show and Matt Lauer who had drowned in lake real legitimate stand as opposed to as opposed to you know some players misbehaved got into a big fight and we all remember it but nobody was actually hurt. Not even the guys who got drilled in the face. We saw that coming lower great observation but correct runner test is out here. He's still allowed on television. You get near lower runner. Just didn't have a door that locked in his office to keep women inside reportedly i. There's a button under the desk. That just shut the door automatically leave very recently. There was a denial about said button. That's what he's denying. Just have to report report detail now is is the morning show thing that I guess it's Amazon Prime. That's awful plus doing apple apple. TV came out with original programming programming. And they launched a week and a half before Disney plus and I wanted to take it for a spin because apple getting in the content game this is huge and none data shows are good It's a heavy-handed show what I've seen from the morning. Show they give you two free and I didn't bother with the third one. It's Steve Carell Jennifer Aniston and reese witherspoon own and so it's a ton of star power a ton of money being thrown at it But I figured the story was supposed to be Matt Lauer Story Because Steve Carell is the disgraced by me too Anchor if they gave you a third and fourth for free would you have stayed with it. Probably Yeah I wanNA just do all this inscription stuff and I didn't want to sign up for months of apple plus because I was GonNa Forget so I'm like Oh get back around. Do they start giving it away for free again. I think the best reviewed show is a show called Dickinson Dickinson. which is about emily? Dickinson starring Hayley Seinfeld but I watched this one show called for all mankind. And it's like what if the Russians beat the United States to the moon and then the next space race was to built like a a an army base on the moon and it's all right but at two episodes so down I was like I I could go without. We are in such a creative golden age with the amount of hedge fund money and Bezzaz instead of paying taxes is just pouring Amazon made. What was it eleven billion dollars or was it eleven trillion dollars? Bill Gates got the crown the crown he is now the world's richest person again. Well Bezos. Add to give up half his stuff I mean. Is that the reason that the reason those families still oh has more money than gates which is odd to me because all these great inventions apple get in the content game Disney plus killing the Amazon prime doing well when they're in the content game? Anybody ever talk about Microsoft anymore. What are they making? That keeps Bill Gates out in front seriously. No one's talking about the hot new windows product. I think We're probably showing our silicon valley. Is it just the surface tablets. Omelettes is it just like Aaron Rodgers looking at a surface tablet and throwing it down and discuss keeping him number one. I love my service. I'll tell you that. How is it possible that it does and Amazon? Didn't have to pay a dollar in taxes on eleven billion dollar loophole take explaining how that's possible I don't know our government and our tax laws. Well enough I know I keep paying thirty eight percent in taxes like I don't understand understand. It doesn't seem fair. Is xbox like that crazy popular. What is it? What's going on with Bill Gates? What's what's the last time? Bill Gates got you excited with something seriously. Do you guys in the back row. You guys who represent basically the youngest people here her in In terms of both age and how you view sports what do you guys remember. Fifteen years ago today malice At the palace do you remember because one of the things I most remember and this was the first time I sort of noticed oh the whole idea of ESPN having partnerships with the League's and how difficult it can make that to do journalism. I remember the conversation. The night of the malice the palace where a group of People Stephen a Smith included. We're talking about how the fans started it and then the next day phone call had clearly been made because all of those opinions changed overnight and all of a sudden John Saunders was back on television. You know wringing his hands because clearly a phone call had been made somewhere and I'm like Oh that's that's pretty obvious and And yet we're partners with these leagues so that stuff happens. Sometimes I remember it being long enough ago that I was at a football game when it happened high school football game and a friend called me on the phone to describe what had happened because if I had any sort of signal it wasn't it was basically crawling and I certainly wasn't getting video of it so I had it described to me. Oh this was still something back. Probably needed had to be checked out on the morning shows. 'cause you weren't getting S. television. Just what about no trouble finding if you just turn on the television anywhere in America because giant black men punching white people in the stands there was something the media did did us for a while it was is also one of those moments as Mike pointed out because it happened to him where it was. You had to call your friends. Are you seeing. What's happening here? Did you see what just texted a friend but I had to press the number number two three times just to get a C in. Call me so it took a minute but after I did the twenty five digits at it took to send out just simply they call me then. I got the full rundown Donlevatar should Greg Cody of the Miami Herald be allowed to wear clothes pin on his nose Elia when we he smears cat food on his face and a little bit but he already told me Mike he told me he suffers from gird Stugatz. I do suffer from Gerd. The doctor mcgillicuddy he's trying to fax over an injunction to prevent me from doing it. Because I do suffer from gird word the digestive reflux disease. Gerd like Gerd. Mueller the former soccer player from Germany. And you know it's it's a serious thing you know whether you're laughing about it or not burden.

NBA draft: Zion Williamson in high demand

"Zion Williamson, because with all due respect to the delirious, pelicans or pal. Brian winners note, something interesting. They're saying to your heads, and get declared for the draft or signed a shoe deal wore hired agents, and knows I on probably won't return to Duke, and yes, Wiley has options abroad. His stepdad today suggests where a big mile death of Adam silver on graph dice. But Bomani, I want to conduct a thought experiment here for our own amusement. If you were advising Zion Williamson, what would you be telling? This is a very interesting question the first thing I'm telling him as hell. No, you're not going back to under. No, sir. As the what they, we not about to be out here doing anything for free, you know, like that can't be it is doing free. Now does he have a problem with goal with New Orleans? I don't know if that is actually true, if he has a real deal problem with going there. You just need to ask yourself. If you're Zion Williamson, are you willing to deal with the blowback that will come for trying to force yourself all to another team? But you can't really do that. And you can't do that, because if you get drafted they've got your rights from here on out, if you withdraw from the draft, maybe you could go back next year. Now this young man got a spirit for adventure. Gotta taste go. Check something else out. What about China? Not. No, no, no, no. Let's say let's imagine for a second that he does not want to go to somebody in China be willing to pay him. What kind of numbers were you see guys put up regularly numbers like sixty and twenty in those games? What kind of numbers we put over there? What kind of branding would he be able to pull up if he wanted to make the big money score? Go to China, I just by self nineteen would not be ready to Bhutto damn shot. But I am here to help convince Zayn Williamson that joining the diaster actually really good idea blow joining it. He's just going to work there, man diaster adjacent. But here's the thing about what Zion can do in China in Asia with that market. He can actually treat the world, which has at its fingertips at his fingertips like the global economy, sees the world. It's that Facebook thing you know what's cool of billion dollars, you know, what's cool of billion people, which is what? China offers. When you pose these hypotheticals about how much money, is it crazy to suggest that he would get nine figures to do some things in China? Maybe that's a marketing, plus a salary deal with keep in mind. What China did for Stefan, marberry? They gave him an acting award for playing himself in a movie about himself. They love basketball. They would love him. Also, by the way, Duke has been long trying to establish his presence in China's. That's the new gang lead university, so they would have a vested interest in this. No, this could work except for this whole. You gotta move to China thing, right? Things like this come up and people like me, always give right, ideas about, why don't you just go live in another country like any of us trying to go pack up and live in another country on a whim, though, any of us were prepared for at that point a lot? But that is the option if you want to have something that goes stronger that is what you do thing is even if you do that it was draft, you you're coming back wall. But I want to know is why has he not signed with Asia yet, because I don't. Think for a second that he wants to go back to school. There's no gain that you have at this point from not having an agent. That'll see what the problem is. Yeah. The only real upside to not having one is that you get to have leverage over employers. But if you're not gonna use it to go to China. What are you really using it

Jimmy Butler, Ben Simmons And Sixers discussed on The Right Time with Bomani Jones

"What I think is ultimately go happen with basketball stuff as it goes for the sixes. They're going to have to start Jimmy Butler, obviously. And so you're gonna have been Simmons and Jimmy Butler on the floor. And then you're gonna wind up having Embiid on the floor. Hey, Gabe idea who plays power for for the Sixers. I feel like they used to be sorry is now I don't know. It's going to be an interesting lineup. That's for sure. Just really sitting here. Like, wow, you're straight it. They put the home chicken Scott out there is he going to be playing going to be playing power forward. Well, I mean, so the coach was like all right now, we don't know who butlers gonna take their spot in the starting lineup. But wasn't Covington starting covered them starting and was a SARS starting. Yeah. Yeah. I mean, like who's the other guy I'll be curious to see that. But here's my thing. How long are we gonna keep Mario fills out here, man? Oh boy. I mean, we have to talk about this. I'm not sure how much longer he's going to be on the team, obviously. But did you see that last night Foltz parted ways with his shooting? Longer on speaking terms, especially after that hitch. Did you see the hitch in his free throw? Oh my God. And then after the fact he's Lea yeah. Yeah. It slipped. Manifield Pavitt do man by seems to be a nice enough kid. And by the way, I believe Jimmy Butler is gonna walk in here. Put his arm around young, man. He's going to tell him that we're gonna get you better. They Jimmy knows that there's imagery have that has to be done. Right. Like, he can't come here, neck, total fool. So like, I do believe that with folks. But but my my I looked it up. His office of rating is a ninety three his defensive rating as one oh three like he is actively hurting the team by being on the floor. Ben Simmons, by the way. I don't know if you saw this on off numbers the other day, they are a much better. Offense of team this year in Philadelphia had been off the floor with him on the floor. Really? Yeah. Like that is that's a level of this that when everybody's talking about false that I kind of feel like seven has been able to skate onto. Degree which I mean, I can only assume is tied to the you know, people watched in the playoffs. Right.

Why the Elon Musk SEC Settlement Is Critical for Electric Cars

"Hi, this is David gave us with the New York Times, so it looks like Elon Musk has put his troubles behind him, at least for the time being on Saturday. He settled with the securities and Exchange Commission which had just sued him under the terms of the deal. Musk, agreed to step down as the chairman of tesla and pay a fine. The settlement stems from a tweet that musk sent on August seventh. When he said he was considering taking tesla, the electric car company, he runs private that tweet sent Tesla's stock soaring Kat Musk's board off guard and drew an inquiry from securities regulators. Then last week, musk in the SEC were close to a settlement. But at the last minute he walked away from the table that prompted the SEC assume usque personally on Thursday can debare him from serving as a director or executive of public company. But the prospect of a drawn out lawsuit spooked musk, and he reopen negotiations with the SEC. Finally striking deal on Saturday as part of the settlement musk agreed to have his communications monitored by the board, but so far it doesn't seem like he's changed his style just hours after he settled with the SEC at one eight AM on Sunday morning, he sent out a company wide Email, imploring people to work hard.

"Have like real at the end of it i'm the real real bomani jones yes real real bomani fake ryobu money jones and you know i've i've i've had all people into a fake accounts for me for so many years now i guess puerto why this story has made a different ways because i'm kind of numb to a to a degree because i've been although molten fake accounts about me or attempting to ridicule me but it happens but i remember i never wanted to verify check and then one day i was like nah i need to have this somebody gonna get out here pretended like they mean is not gave the verify check been around for late eight years i thought everybody knew to look for the verify check who still i hear getting fooled by accounts verify check because if you bought away if if you're not aware of the verify check you can fool by counts that don't have it let me run this by you very wealthy nigerian investor and i have like twenty million dollars but i need somebody to hold a for me let me let me let me get account number and you'll social and i leave before you after finished sounds like a number of spam emails that have gotten in the last couple of years all capital letters all cadillac these people right here right as thought is like here they get old people i feel bad when i hear they get young people i'll kinda like i mean it's illegal but i mean i got i got hurt for you all right this last story comes from detects space in the transportation space a little bit of both this other sh rebel from sleep i recently wrote about bay the story at rent viral on schleyer over the fourth july holiday a woman named rosie layer was on a flight from new york to dallas with her boyfriend she asked another woman on the flight just which seat so that you have conflict together then this woman ends up sitting in front of laron her boyfriend wouldn't you know at the guy next to her terms after the crying and the woman herself is not so that so lo and behold blair is sitting behind these two half people and watching what she thinks is real life romantic company at fault and she starts secretly documenting the two of them flirting on social media they were chatting joking around they're kind of like nestling together on the arm rest and at one point blair said they even got up to the bath news time so at first the internet went nuts for this everyone was wounding in the story was getting ten pick up on twitter and from the navy thank you know cutest thing ever and we've seen all these crazy airplanes stories happening lately and it seemed like this was actually a good one for once who doesn't love story but then when you get to thinking you know anytime something like this gets really big you have to wonder what is fishy here so in this case i think that these people's lives were being documented out their consent for thousands and may even millions of strangers layer blurt out their faces but she also put off details about them out there that they did not sign on for in later when this made the today show and got other major media that man was happy to reveal his identity he is actually a former pro soccer player in un holden but the woman only gave out i ne helen which shows that she might not be so comfortable with the whole thing and what seems like a fun fifteen minutes of fame for john halden is turning out to be something else altogether for her so that sokha plane bay relate raises questions about privacy in public spaces and the lesson maybe that it's not okay to catch someone as a character in your viral story without actually asking i phone interesting about this i had to change the way that i did this because like before i do a lot more tv now than i used to and i used to do stuff like that all the time like take pictures of people i saw places you know and just put on the internet 'cause all kinds of people do that and i didn't see myself as being quote unquote famous or anything like that so i didn't see any issue at all with doing such things and then on never forget one day put a picture up of the dude who i thought.

LeBron James has until Friday to decide his fate

"I'm jay reynolds big week for the nba it is this week friday in particular that lebron james has until to decide on his player option for next season thirty five and a half million dollars worth or he can become a free agent if he so desires what are the feelings in cleveland at this point about lebron staying espn cavs reported dave mcmenamin look back several months ago look beg assads it seemed like any other team but cleveland houston philadelphia los angeles lakers even miami heat at one point boston celtics golden state warriors were the favorite to have lebron james play for them next year but as the months passed and as some of the contenders have fallen by the wayside the city of cleveland have looked at lebron situation and determined that we have a real shot here and i know there's some still some scars back from two thousand ten when he left their team when he was making his decision but as the the city anticipates this this process they look at it in the clouds of separating a little bit and there's a ray of hope shining down on land because they realize that you know what it might be lebron's best interests in both in terms of family and winning for him to play with the cats at least for one more year and that's allowed fans to embrace this process a little bit more than i think they were several months ago steve so still up in the air but there's a bit of optimism there's still not sentimental that lebron will stay our bomani jones isn't sold all night sportscenter allnight the right time with bomani jones he doesn't want anybody to recruit him if he's not looking for anybody sales pitch their what's he waiting on if he was gonna come back to cleveland what is there for him to consider that has not been a parent for a very long time so no i can't buy it to the idea that he's coming back to cleveland and this is one of the things about lebron that becomes interesting as much as he does such a great job keep it information to himself if he is offered any tell that tell us this if he acts like he might leave he will leave that's how it's gone he acted like he might lead cleveland he left it twenty fourteen he acted like he might leave miami he left after that one year with the cats he didn't act like he was leaving he stayed at beside another one day with the cats he didn't act like he was leaving he stayed this time he act like he might leave i can only go from that to say the chances are he is going to wind up leaving because i can't really make a compelling case for him to stay i can't bryant went horse blesses hardy from update he did the best he could get a local some measure of hope as why is maybe just maybe lebron would stay i'm as interested y'all would you stay especially if way championships is it all part of what you're looking for would you stay i think the most compelling argument that you can make a while to brown with stay wouldn't have to do a basketball his kids maybe you know maybe he wants them to stick around up there maybe it was a low brawny bryce max right maybe he wants them to go to high school where he went all of that stuff right like all that i guess is totally possible i don't think he stay our bomani jones branchini brian went horse to has told us that yeah the cavs are indeed gearing up for lebron to leave where might the best fit be our brian went horse says philadelphia even though it's being talked about doesn't seem to be the best fit for the bronze sportscenter allnight espn radio and the espn app world cup group d on tuesday croatia with a win over ireland win over iceland argentina the two one victory over nigeria that puts argentina into the knockout round they advanced for the.
