"Did you know that as you age. Your natural production of collagen declines this results. In fine lines and wrinkles joint pain dark circles under your eyes and more you see. Collagen is like the glue that holds your body together and luckily there's an easy way to feed your body additional collagen. It's bone broth. Studies show consuming bone. Broth protein can boost metabolism support. Gut health and digestion reduced. Cellular formation can help grow healthy skin and nails joints and more. But if you've ever made prome broth you know it's time consuming and who really has time to simmer bones for forty eight hours. That's why i like to use bone broth protein powder simply mix scoop with hot water. Add to a smoothie or even a baked dish and reap all the benefits of college enrich protein in just thirty seconds a day while most companies use the hides or the skin of the animal which are less nutrient dense than the bones. I always prefer using bones. And that's why. I love paleo valley bom broth protein because they use one hundred percent grass fed beef bones from cows that are never fed. Gmo grains or any grains for that matter even test for over forty pesticides to ensure this is the purest poem broth protein on the market. These bones are slow simmered to extract as much collagen protein as possible. They don't use. Any chemicals are solvents just good old fashioned bone broth that's then gently powdered. Now when we think about bone broth again we think about the protein collagen and there several key amino acids in there including glycemic pro lean hydroxy pro lean and those help to to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and help reduce cellulite. They're also critical for anti-aging as they help regenerate bones and help muscle and support heart. Health

Reeling Rockies Swept in Doubleheader by Mets

"The injury hits. Just keep on coming for the mets noah. Syndergaard has been shut down for at least six weeks. The quote from luis rojas manager the sits big counting on being a month from now. This happening is tough. We pray he can pitch for us this year. I'm going to be talking with carl. Why i kinda wonder if that's even a possibility. And i'll explain why this is going to get really really complicated for all involved now. The mets have been ravaged by all these injuries lately but they had a great day on thursday. This was in game one first-pitch peraza to high drive deep to left top back near the wall. That bom jose peraza gets the mets won on their road. Maybe five today. A park homer off herrmann. Mark has and the mets take one. Nothing lead that from wcbs and one. Ron was all that marcus. Stroman and edwin d as needed strowman was outstanding. Played his position. Why Would Jaguars Sign Tim Tebow?

"We are back final hour. It's been a fun show. We appreciate you being here. A lot of conversation with my Mike smith earlier. We also talked to dennis dodd. Another conversation predictably has been tim. Tebow we've given you a lot of reaction on that in the mike cannon bom from espn former gm jets dolphins. He's been here a couple of times. He had this to say earlier today. On keyshawn jay will and zubin about understanding the signing. I don't like it. I just don't see the upside in this move. He's thirty four years old. He would be a backup. I just don't know of thirty four year old players that can come in and be back place special teams and you're taking away a roster spot from hopefully a young developmental player that could grow with a young nucleus obviously led by trevor lawrence. And to me this is probably through the lens of urban. Meyer saying a decade. And a half ago tim tiba was the most competitive guy i've ever been around and he can help set the culture. If i was in that building what i would be pushing back saying coach. That may be true but in the nfl as you well know. Players needs to be led by players. They believed can take them to where they wanna go and as a backup tight end. I just don't think tim tebow would have that same credibility as he wants dave when he was the starting quarterback in florida. He also questioned whether tibo could even makes a team. I just don't see how he makes the team or urban and he's a really good coach he he's been historically great college but i just don't know he has to earn a spot and he's given a spot. That's gonna cause a big problem because players weren't have a chance to win and again to me just putting on my lens of a general manager and roster construction if you're not a starter in the nfl with only forty six players dressing you have to play special teams so my question. is tim. tibor thirty four years old going to cover cover kicks that remains to be seen. Now if he doesn't earn it does a totally different discussion. But i don't think you could sign him and say hey. He definitely has a spot on this team.

Interview With Marla Beck of bluemercury

"Everyone welcome superwomen. Today's guest. I'm very excited. Talk you a superfan. And i haunt her location near my office frequently marla who is the co founder and ceo behind plumer the nation's largest and fastest growing luxury beauty retailer and spa in the country. So hello and welcome. I thank you for having me. I am super fan of you. Also so the feeling is mutual. So i would love to kind of go back to the beginning because i know you were acquired but i would love to go through kind of the initial idea that you had for blue mercury and your skin care lines but where did you start off. So i actually grew up in. California was a junkie. There were little beauty shops. Where people made handmade things in berkeley which is about five minutes from where i grew up and when i was in high school is a new brand called german logica and so i always knew what was new on what was going on in beauty When i moved east to go to graduate school in boston a chance to drive forty five minutes. Divide act lipstick which was only sold at bengals in one place and on top of that it was the beginning of the i e commerce bom in fact we had just gotten our own email addresses and google and all the search and all the businesses that are here today did not exist. There was an obscure moore came to business school to talk about his business. He was talking about how he was going to bring books to the internet. And i was completely floored. jeff bezos. Only thirty people came to his talk. I was inspired by this new potential world out there that i couldn't even imagine and so started to think about what products i could bring to. The internet moved to dc after grad school and started blue mercury to bring luxury beauty products to the internet so initially inspired by jeff bezos in my obsession with beauty and we were one of the first to bring brands to the internet. Act of nineteen ninety. Nine week quickly realized that were too early. Not everybody was shopping online in fact everybody was on. Aol dial up and it used to take forever to get online and so we were just too early with that idea and so we pivoted and i laugh because were pivot didn't exist then we we were actually. Almost bankrupt realized we needed to do something different. And so we opened our first beauty store in washington. Dc georgetown back then you could only buy cosmetics at drugstores or department stores. There was no such thing as a free standing beauty store and We thought why not create this environment. Where staff were trained in all france where you could touch and feel products and that You could get makeup application and spa services in one place if you think back to them and i know a lot of people up did not shout back then who may be listening but everything was behind glass counters at department stores and you go up to the counter and ask someone to touch things to try things and i was in my twenties and i felt like no one really wanted to help me because i will spend money so this idea. The freestanding neighborhood beauty store was revolutionary at the time. And i remember i was so happy. Our first clients used to come in and screaming that they could touch products find find obscure brands get advice on a bunch of brands in their beauty problems and also get spa services in the same location as so now is the start of blue mercury. We wrote a bunch of different ways. The ecommerce wave and this move from buying beauty products at at department stores to buy beauty products in specialty stores so it was really the beginning and it took us a long time to build business. I've been at it for twenty one years so excited to have been building blue mercury for all that time. I love that. What seems as an overnight success to people when they read about your acquisition is like oh no. I've been doing this for twenty one years. I almost went bankrupt. You know it just goes to show you. And i and i. I like to talk about that. Because i think people think that i'm an overnight success and i've been doing this for twenty years. Now there's a lot of blocking and tackling around and usually your initial idea is completely wrong right. I think you have to have humility to realize that you're wrong. You need to change directions and we were humble in the first year pretty quickly and made. It's really sort of try to deal in truth and build a real business that had value for customer saying i think we got caught up in the first internet craze and it was exciting and fun and then we realized that we had to spend our time knowing and understanding what people want what they need and beauty and then just really took our time building the business and building an enduring company so when you were faced with bankruptcy being too early to the e com days how did you guys have the bravery or even funds to open your first brick and mortar. It's it's a great question. In fact we had received investment for the e commerce business and our investors hated the idea of doing a store because back then all value was pure play e commerce. And so my husband. I barry actually used our own money to do the first store.

The Joy of 'Jingle Jangle'

"If you're looking for a mood boost in this season then. I've got just the movie for you to check out netflix's general jangle. I was absolutely caught up in the wonder and magic of this film. And i won't even tell you how many times i've played the soundtrack but beyond the magic i feel like there several life lessons to be gained from the film as will joining me in gushing over the movie today is jordan. Madison jordan is a licensed clinical marriage and family therapist originally from brooklyn new york currently living in silver spring maryland. She received her. Ba in psychology from spelman college in her ms couple and family therapy from university of maryland. College park and works as a family therapists at friends in transition counseling services in maryland. She's also one of our contributing writers here at therapy for black girls jordan and i chatted about the themes present in the movie. Why a film like this was so necessary right now and the importance of staying connected to our sense of play and wonder as adults. This episode does contain spoiler. So please save it until after you've had a chance to enjoy the movie if there's something that resonates with you while enjoying our conversation please share with us on social media using the hashtag. Tv g in session. Here's our conversation and be sure to stay tuned after my conversation jordan for an interview with two jingle jangle youngest man. Thank you so much for joining me today jordan. Thank you so much for having me you. So i'm very excited that you were able to join me because i feel like jingle jangle is the single most just adorable. Wholesome like swedish thing. I have seen in quite some time. I write it is really yeah. It really felt like a bom at this point in the year. That is twenty. Twenty right Yeah so. I know that you also had lots of thoughts and feelings about jingle jangle so i love to just kinda here. You know like on a cursory level. What kind of were your initial reactions to it. Like you said i mean it was just definitely a feel good movie. Great to see black culture black hairstyles. He saw dance moves. You saw so much of the culture in the movie itself as well and so that was great to see. I loved the grandparent aspect of it. I have you know amazing parents than they had me. Young and so. My grandparents have always stepped in albany very integral part of me growing up so i love that part that definitely warned my heart as well so the movie it was it was great. Yeah and it wasn't really something. I was expecting to love so i think he came out earlier this year. Right like in november. And i saw people talking about it and i was like. Oh maybe i'll have the kids wash that like a little closer to christmas or something. I mean then. I found out it was a musical and i'm not usually a fan of music. That was like oh i'm gonna love that and then we watched did the first time in the evening and i just first of all i probably teared up within like the first fifteen minutes right because it was so beautiful. You know and like you're mentioning. Just lots of layers in terms of the family dynamic and just like you said gorgeous hair styles and just it was shot beautifully right so i think it just put me. All of my feels in a way. That i wasn't necessarily expecting. Yeah i think my first time watching it. My dad and my step mom and my two siblings live in atlanta but i am currently in maryland in we decided to watch it together over net flicks to and that was nice and then we watched it again. I wanna say it was thanksgiving evening or sometime around the thanksgiving holiday inn. So it's definitely a nice family movie but like you said. There's a lot of generational things that i saw that were woven in as well so i really appreciate it. I think it's a great movie for all ages. Yeah i agree. I agree with it now. Because i feel like i can't ever really watch anything without like picking up some additional meanings. I definitely feel like i was able to get lost in it. Which i think was a part of the fun that i was able to really kind of get lost in the magic of it in a fantasy of it but i did still kind of walk away with like. Oh there was a mess we can use f. or something else right so tell me about maybe some of the messages that you got from the field ivory washed it now. Maybe three to four times. There's like three major themes standouts to me so one was just belief like believing in yourself believing in the magic of things and therapist in me kinda boiled down to like imposter syndrome and how that can make you not believe in yourself but also the like the pros and cons of it right because the competing toymaker. He stole the ideas from toronto. Will you know him taking drama things. It just showed me that. What's for you is for you. So even though he took it and made a profit in the beginning when that lasts invention that he tried to steal didn't work to me. It was because you didn't know what it took or what was the meaning or what was important behind. It like how drawn did because he's who created it. It didn't work for you so even though you tried to steal his shine it still ended up. Not coming to you. The way that you expected and then for dronka's like once a believer always a believer. So i think with his phil successes. It made him forget who he really is in. It reminded me sometimes with myself or with clients that i see that when things don't go our way we sometimes start to feel like maybe this is not for us when maybe it is. It's just that we're having some difficult times. That doesn't mean that it takes away who you are what you were created to do so. That was the first team that stood out to me because belief in the magic and all of those things in that being what made the the code that he would write in work and stuck out.

"Come here. Bom invite her in and then ask her so what you look like here. What does love looked like in this situation. And then it helps you to get an idea of what you wanna do or how you wanna be and how how you want to hold the situation. I know i know from my experience with the grand magnificent capacity to hold love and that i have Just have a couple of things that are opinion in my mind about just over. The time of us know each other Just how you hold humanity and that you're the you hold humanity in that space At like to have that. Has that always been true as like the this new thing since you have this personal relationship with love is that new or is it always been there. I am so judgmental. I have judgments about everything i wanted to say. It's my worst director defect because it just comes out instantly almost about anything and so i have to say holding and love is not something that comes naturally to me at least it didn't before And as the writings deepens and house calls became clearer and as my acceptance to the call as my saying yes to it continued. The judgment doesn't disappear but it softens its hold in its place and becomes less important. And my my rightness like about my judgement becomes you know optional. So since still be there to write it doesn't go away it just like you just go okay. So that's how i feel about it. But maybe i can be more helpful in the situation where i can be more understanding and compassionate and That's helpful so it just has evolved into a different state of being but it is a conscious effort that you make and by being in that space like my work with you we consciously move into that space and we look at it and we talk about it and we say what is this like and what the new message in. How does what do you think about that. So you know my experience deepens and my choice about the path that i to be on.

Interview with Dr. Brian Gearity

"Welcome back to another edition of moving to live moving to live along with our sister podcast fit let ph believe movement is a lifestyle not just an activity with moving to live. We try to interview professionals literally across the world although today were interviewing a professional from Denver. Colorado. We are in the middle of covid nineteen and and high school and college sports are either canceled postponed or up in the air. So you read a lot in the literature in the newspaper about what's going to happen to the student athletes the stresses that are placed on the student athletes. And as I was reading this, I was thinking there is not a whole lot has been mentioned about coaches some of them who may be new to the profession. Some may be in a profession many years. So I reached out to Dr, Brian Geraghty who is program Director of the Sport, Coaching Program at Denver, university to get his insights on it first of all about the education of coaches and why it's so important and second of all to give some insight about what we can see with coaches with covid nineteen possible suggestions to help with what's going on in a crazy time. So Brian, thanks for taking time to talk to moving to lift. X Ray I haven't been is good to be back with you've been a while. Bryan Bryan was one of our first interviews for moving to live. We found out about his. Long strange trip from Ohio to the deep South all the way out to the rocky mountains. Now, now, look at him, and now you decide that big deal with spotify. Glad. Glad. You've taken me a long ride. I, know you and I have talked a little bit before it conferences and I think many people who are in the movement profession across the Board kind of think that coaching is something you kind of do and your athletic career is over or on the other hand. Dr. Brian Gearity Phd- Denver University Sport Coaching Program

Some people say, well, if you can't teach or if you can't do you teach you you coach and if you can't do that you consult but there is a whole body of research that's growing on the importance of the Education of Coaching and the Socialization of coaching, which you're one of the people at the forefront kinda briefly describe what is the program at a Denver With Sport coaching and who is it intended for? well I if I Oscar Wilde was a terrible teacher that right? Tiz The Law Owner Jack Knowlton On Belmont Win

"Will here it is Jack Knowlton visiting with Anthony's to bill on. Red Brand radio. Congratulations on a fantastic win. A lot of people feel like it was seventeen years in the making my friend. Well we finally got our triple. Crown for Sakho Toga for Barclay tag and took us two horses and seventeen years, but from what I understand. It's still kind of fight for Barclay There aren't a lot of trainers at You know is one three legs of the triple crown in recent years. Yeah and you know you guys together. Seventeen years apart, and with New York breads and I know that's the. The mantra over attack a Toga. You guys support that program as well as anyone. Well I was pretty fascinated to learn that it was one hundred thirty eight years since the new. York breaded, won the. Belmont stakes now I know a lot of people are going to say well, then really count you know at you know. It wasn't a mile and a half and Yada, Yada but. In my mind, anybody who watched that race, who questions who would have won that race? It has been a mile and a half. I think the outcome would have been exactly the same as it was at amendment eight. And, Barkley had gone on record is before the race saying you know I would have liked a mile and a half of the source, and he's a horse again. New York Brad and that's what you guys do, you? You've been high on this horse from day one. Well. I watched them train at Saratoga. I mean you're up there and I'd go over at six o'clock in the morning 'cause. That was a time of day that Berkeley landed of track. It was almost darker. She got near the end of the need of what's dark. And not only did he. You know have a good works, and you know work quickly, not crazy fast, but you know good works. But the way he galloped out, I mean they couldn't pull him up. He goes around the second turn. After you know going, pass the finish line and writers just added tremendously difficult time pulling them up junior. Alvarado was riding. Mine is is raised back then, and when I saw that we went into a first range of six and a half furlong maiden mates for New York. Badge I really had a lot of confidence and He's lived up to it so one little bump in a road when he got stuck down inside and the worst part of the race track and Kentucky Jockey Club At. The end of November other than that He really has been flawless. Yeah. That's lobby. Track back in November. He's just been He's been impeccable. The rest of the way the covid nineteen outbreak of course forced post moment of the Kentucky Derby the preakness to. The. Bom obviously the biggest change with the Belmont was not only the two weeks, but the distance. You've mentioned the ASTERISK. We'll get to that in a minute You guys pretty much. And gals I don't want to offend anybody in Saratoga those thirty-five parts of this. Is that accurate? Seven and funny is that I was that six or seventy? You guys and funny side. We had ten ten. Okay, okay only. The same folks lieutenant. And I the only holdovers class. You guys Gus Williams. He passed away several years ago as dead one of our other great partners Dave Man but Ruined I gave remaining to. Stay with it and never in the world expecting that we would get the kind of horse that we've gotten here with the law. And this was an important race for you to win Jack Not that you don't want to win. The Derby again or the preakness again, but the Belmont stakes with your dedication to new. York, Brad's and New York, and let's face it. you know in a game where horses changed hands an awful lot. You and Barclay have been together two decades at this point. This was a very important race for you guys to to tick the box on. It was, and now he's got one more coming up in my hometown Saratoga Springs I've lived thirty five years I know Barkley wants to win it badly as do I and. Really if we can you know, check this box. would include the champagne, which is the the most important two year old race. The Belmont stakes obviously being biggest Belmont. Race and We get the travers at Saratoga. That's quite a triple. And that's pretty remarkable. When you consider you know you started this twenty years ago. As pretty much. Just some friends getting together and buying some horses. We had six guys and Sackett Cyber. I find the eastern end of Lake Ontario I went to high school. We were having our usual. Memorial Day weekend, bearing barbecue, and my wife and I would go up there and visit and I had been in the harness. Business Standard Bread business I guess for about a dozen years and got out. In in ninety four. And somebody up there said well. Why don't we buy a thoroughbred and I said you know figuring I've never gonNA hear anything about it again. I said okay. I said you know, let's each put in five thousand dollars. I knew Tim Kelly at that point who's a trainer and works at is never now. so I got a hold of me and he found this a New York Brad for twenty two thousand dollars. We named him the second sex after the six of us. From Sackett Cyber and came up with the name sack Toga stable after sack I Saratoga and made ourselves Maroon and gray, which are high school college. So. That's how it all started.

Coronavirus Self-care Strategy

"Thank you so much Dr Seakor for being with us. You know it's nice to have a nurse practitioner on what what has been your take with all of this cove it. Have you been handling it? Oh, man, I've had to ramp up myself care. It's just kinda crazy out there. I've had to limit my news. Consumption I've had to really ramp up my exercise and just sleep getting more sleep setting alarm for that. It's really challenging. Sleep right now for me is so tough owes up this morning at five am odd because I just I can't sleep and. Yeah and It's funny just today. I'm like a die hard. Andrew Cuomo Tone in love with him. I call him my president. I'm like I said to my husband Mike. You think he's just like. Can We? Just what is the rules to get him on the ballot? Right on the ballot right? Thanks so on real, but other than that I've had to turn off the news, too, because it just yeah. Even the evening talk, it's just overwhelming. I mean we can't lose our hope. Too much of this information you can really lose your hope. And where are you right now? CAPE COD Massachusetts okay. where? where? Where on the Cape right at the Canal so near Plymouth? Okay so on the Cape Cod. Canal is a little shack so to speak called Seafood Chantey. CATES, that's like it's a mazing takeout. It's my favorite. It is incredible. Johnny Academies who went to College, but my dad I would die. Hard grew up McCabe my hotel. In the town of Barnes Omayyad. Liam's is no longer Nassir. Beach no worry. Our close allies just went down there last weekend, and they had to just take the shack down. Because of erosion is just so sad. Oh, that's too bad. Obse string onion rings. Who is? Now I missing McCabe. I love I. It's hard to have a tough day here when you're at the Cape. I love that. We're talking about shoestring onions because we're GONNA. Get right into it. Dr, Seymour I brought you on, because so many of us we are now in the throes of summer. We weren't able to get to the gyms even for places that are opening up, it's not the same. What can we do to drop the quarantine? Fifteen or you know? I came up with this Jingle and it represents the word pandemic, and each letter in in pandemic can be one of your self care steps when I even made a little. A little law. List. WHO IS GONNA sing the Jingle for I. Wish I could in my dreams I sing. Okay Calera user all the pillars of self care and I can take through those yes I would love that. All right so basically what everyone needs to think about is. We are really not trained to ramp up ourselves. CARE will release stressed in fact. The culture basically reinforces that we lose the wheels off our wagon right and we go directly to Ben and Jerry's and chocolate chip cookies. Whatever it is, so you have to really develop a plan and that's like my first step in pandemic. Plan and you have to have a program and you have to figure out how am I gonNA deal with this quarantine. Right. We have to ramp up your self care. Figure out. What am I gonNa do for the week. What am I gonNa do tomorrow and maybe tomorrow I just planned to drink. More water I haven't a match today I. Don't usually match my water, but it can be very powerful. Yeah, our love, and how many of you out? There are starting your day with the large glass of water. Good job. Ryan Job Amber Y- I start my day with a large cup of coffee, not gonNA lie boming well I. I love coffee, too, but I usually start with a large last water in the coffee. Going to help you in a especially if you have any. Can to actually have you sleep disrupted fifteen hours after your last caffeine. So, that's something most people don't know. How I am, that might be well. I do drink two cups of coffee, generally like seven like right when I get up I be lying to the coffee machine and so now I'm drinking them by because I don't drink coffee in the afternoon river because I know that I know that it's like I will be up till know. Chris come home. So that's planning, basically planning is essential. If you fail to prepare, YOU'RE GONNA prepare to fail and a lot of people when they're home. They just feel like they're out of their routine right so that planning also essentially creating a routine for yourself, and for so many people at home right now very chaos, even though it's been a few months now it's still chaos, not going back to the way it was and prior to this whole situation or eating out fifty percent of the time. Now they're not. What are they eating at home? How do you approach that whole situation at home with all those triggers in the cabinets and trigger people? Maybe that you're living like my husband pulls out the Ben and Jerry's at night and sits right next. Meet chomping on it like. Eating my egg whites an hour before I go to sleep. In it. Right now he's trained. I'm very trained and the good thing about training. Good thing about healthy habits is they run themselves most of the time. However, it is more challenging when you have a lot more stress in your life. They don't run themselves as automatically as when stresses lower so I've had to really be attentive to making sure my habits are

Joan Rivers: Can We Talk?

"Joan rivers career spanned nearly six decades she started with cabaret and off Broadway shows in the late fifties and then became a star of late night television hosting the tonight show and the late show with Joan rivers and eventually the daytime Joan rivers show in the nineties. She was best known for her comedic and sometimes mean-spirited interviews with celebrities on the Red Carpet John. Style was self deprecating abrasive. Everyone was fair game including herself. She charted new territory and comedy by telling stories from her own life combined with her willingness to talk about taboo subjects like hot flashes sagging bodies bad sex and marriage problems. You may have noticed that we borrowed our podcast. Name can talk from this hilarious. Talented and complex Jewish woman. Can we talk? Was Jones signature. Tagline sometime. She's it as a punchline. Sometimes it was a setup. It was an invitation to her audience. A signal that she was about to confide in them. Here's Joan on the show in the early. Nineteen Eighty S. I would not cheat. I would not cheek Maine because nobody asked me but I not because I think why we talk. I think my husband's spooner man okay. Which is very hard to save. I feel very close to you. I especially if you can. We talk was also Jones way of calling attention to her flaws and other people's her way of saying let's stop pretending and tell the truth here. Can we talk? Let me tell you something. The reason I have nothing happy the way I'm blessed is because I'm getting older at least seven very drop because Oh oh you don't know what it's like to get older too. You know what it's like to go in the morning to take facial mask and realize you're not wearing what so. Why did we borrow her? Tigon FOR OUR PODCAST. When we started the show Joan had recently died and we were all steeped in the debate about her role and her complicated legacy as brilliant and hilarious. But also crass and sometimes cruel. We love that. She had so many dimensions and that she believed in telling the truth about women's lives and expanding the range of models. We see all things we knew we wanted to do to. We also liked that. Can we talk was an invitation to our audience to join us in this project of storytelling and with that. Here's a wonderful interview from J W as archive recorded in two thousand six for our documentary. Jewish women in comedy making trouble. Joan talks about her early days at the Chicago. Comedy Clubs Second City being a woman on Johnny Carson's tonight show and playing midwestern clubs as New York Jewish comic later in the interview. She talks about going back to work after her husband's suicide in nineteen eighty seven. She starts by telling Interviewer Rachel. Talbot about a fight. She had with her parents over her decision to go into comedy. I left my house in pedal pushes enter old car that I used to drive and went to New York in speaking of the year and it was just awful and my dad wrote me a letter say that we are going to You'd better come home or we're going to have you committed. I was living in the bars on hotel for women and my dad wanted says and pulled me out. It was a scene. I think they ever forgot dragged me out. It was just horrible scene Harles. They just thought I was really life as though question about it. They just couldn't accept that. This is where I was going to end. This is all I could do so the I went back home and then I went away. Yeah it was just awful and then Pity yes that was great. Second City was very competitive. It was six of US thrown on stage. And it was make up your own lines and get your own scenes going and everybody wanted to be the star second city and everybody wants to get their stuff and so it wasn't like being gracious. It was like I got a better idea I wanted. It was very competitive and that was great too. I learnt in second city. You have to talk up and I learnt the freedom of you. Think it's funny try it. Don't wait don't think about it. I still do that if freed me. It taught me to be tough. It taught me to fight. If you thought you're Si was good you went into four four and a taught me co with your instinct. Only do what you truly think is going to be funny. It changed my life and then you you came back to New York Nissan. You learn so much from second cities are how had your comic persona change came. When I came back with second city I was myself onstage. Good bed or different. I was what I was and I was a divorced when no Jewish smart college graduate not particularly attractive girl on stage and I was telling you about my life. It wasn't about my mother-in-law was about what I'm going through my mother's hysterical because I'm single and I'm having an affair with a married man and my gay friends. What happen to my gay friends and it was all about truth. The first routine that really worked. I had a WIG hairpieces. I was driving into New York to perform at this club. And the WIG flew out of the window and a car drove over it and I said there I was walking on the west side highway. With a dead Wigan my arms had says firestone on and no one stops and all the truth and taking the truth and exaggerated and it just opened me up. I never went back. I never went back to. He's so fat that unless I really believe when did you find out Johnny Carson? Nothing in my career. I think that's why I was that you log come easily ever. I've never been the first on anything all my friends. And that time I was working the village with my George Carlin and Richard. Pryor all these wonderful men everybody got through everybody was on Carson and on Griffin and I was brought up seven different times to the Carson show. I was finally rejected by Secretary. Who is eating lunch while I was performing? I mean beyond humiliating. I got on because the night before some comic bom so they called me up and they said you can come on but not as a comedian. They had no faith in me. They brought me on as a girl writer and at the end of the show at the end of that night on air. Johnny Carson said to me you're going to be a star it was maisy and I look behind me. I couldn't believe and the next day. My life change changed overnight. They were getting all these calls and stuff. Was there ever a feeling of like? Oh you're to New York reports. I was doing costume regularly. I don't think it was hosting really I was you know the Golden Girl Carson and the ages come back and say you to New York to Jewish you to New York and my husband was married by that point. Ed You said this is ridiculous. He said picked the worst city in the country. And they said Milwaukee they still have been meetings. This is nine hundred seventy. There's still enclaves. They dress up Nazi uniforms and saw Adolf stand. He said center Milwaukee. And let's see and they sent me to Milwaukee and I was. They had to change the size of the room and put in the ballroom. Our I put originally in a little hotel the pfister in their little comedy room and they had to over the ball and put me in so that changed everything they said. Okay America will get her. I mean people begin to put little pockets and it's so stupid because funny is funny. You're minutes was using back on state. What was that decision? The decision was very simple. One I know money I had to go back to work. I didn't have the luxury of being the widow in the house on the hill so I had to go back to and nobody wanted me and Vegas gave me back my contracts. 'cause isn't nobody wants to see anybody that has that kind of you would just fired. would terrible glistening one out that. I was very hard to work with It was just all wrong all wrong. I was banned from late night. I've never been brought back ever not one late night show So I was really struggling my career and I had all these bills. Listen was in. It was just a bad time so I went back to little nightclubs. I said well I'll start again. I went back and started doing little like us and out of that came the red carpet

Tybee Bomb lost - February 5, 1958

"The day was February. Fifth Nineteen fifty eight the US air force lost a nuclear bomb in the waters near Taibbi island off the coast of Georgia though fake news stories claiming that the bomb had been found have emerged. The bomb is considered lost that day. A. B. Forty-seven bomber under the command of Major Howard. Richardson was flying a simulated combat mission from Homestead Air Force Base in Florida. The plane was carrying a mark. Fifteen thermonuclear no nuclear bomb. That weighed more than seven thousand pounds to make the simulation more realistic. The bomb contained four hundred pounds of high explosives as well as enriched uranium and other nuclear material. The bomb may have had a plutonium nuclear core or it may have had demi core installed if it did its nuclear capsule. An explosion could cause serious damage in injury for miles early that morning before. Sunrise and F eighty six expire jet out of Charleston accidentally collided with Richardson's be forty seven and the fighter jets pilot. Lieutenant Clarence Stewart did not see the bomber on his radar. The left-wing ripped off of the F eighty six and the B forty seven fuel tanks. Were badly damaged. Stewart ejected from the fighter and and landed in the Savannah River swamp though he survived the landing he was severely frost in the F. Eighty six landed in a field in Georgia as Richardson attempted to regain control of the B. Forty seven he requested an emergency landing at Hunter Air Force Base in Savannah but the runway was under repair ear. Richardson did not want the bomb to break loose on an emergency landing and he wanted the cruise to survive so he decided to let go of the Bob over the ocean it before landing at Hunter there was no explosion when the bomb entered the ocean. Just off Taibbi Island and they landed safely at hunter for his his efforts. Richardson got the Distinguished Flying Cross. A decoration awarded to officers when they show heroism or extraordinary achievement during flight. The navy searched the loss bom for two months but could not find it. Officials believe it's buried under silt at West. I'll obey off Taibbi in a letter. The Assistant Assistant Secretary of Defense wrote to a congressional committee in Nineteen Sixty six. The TAIBBI bomb was identified as a quote complete weapon but the air force maintained that the bomb did not have a nuclear capsule and is not considered dangerous. It also said that starting a search for the bomb would have unwanted effects on the environment virement and could be risky considering explosives in the bomb. They suggested that it's best left undisturbed.
