How to Get a Great Podcast Coach

"I used to play a little bit. I don't know if you know this. But i used to play a bit. In the online business will actually have gone online business. we captive but he's podcasting software as service sas as we call. And what. I'm talking about when i say i used to play in the online business. World is that i used to be around people who've got online businesses but sell things that are a little bit less. I guess developmental. You know the sort of thing course. Mastermind of course coaching. And it's a nice space to live in but it's pretty hard to scale now look at any online business person who sells those things. The smart ones diversify into other more sustainable revenue channels in the mall. Suppose the mall. Blink could ones try to just keep filling the funnel of new clients all up selling to current clients like yourself. Maybe the you know work with someone they keep trying to sell you stuff and i talked last week about why. That might not be great for you. But last week. I talked about how to spot the red flags in podcast coach and really is a distinction between these two types of people. So i taught you about those those red flags. Okay but how do you start to identify a good podcast coach. Well let me give you my take on number one. This is what they do. Okay this is what they do the thing that they are selling to you. They do every day themselves so for some online business people. Coaching is aware to support their income or bridge. Financial gap is the lowest hanging fruit when it comes to making money because they've already got the scalable and saleable knowledge and all. They've got to do his package. It up into something. That's clearly positioned marketed and pretty easily understood him. Then by creating some content like a podcast on youtube channel and some blockbuster rank on google by creating that content that then positions demos just enough of an expert so that they can papa lead magnet on their website. That might sound like how. I started my podcast in just three minutes. Get my exact play about now. And then what they do. Is they warm you with some emails that they can make some sales. They can sell you on it okay. There's nothing wrong with that. That's how it works after all but as a podcast you don't want someone who uses coach into bolsa their revenue and to keep themselves afloat enough to do the thing that they really want to do. No no you need. A coach does coach in for a living someone who lives breathes and lives podcast in who focuses on maintaining their knowledge in industry and building quality deep depresses for their podcast. Coaching endeavors now. Suppose the easiest way to articulate. This is to just get yourself to answer this question. Ask yourself this. Would you rather work with podcasting expert. Who coaches or coach an expert who has decided to coach on podcasting. Because he's trendy.

Designing charismatic voice assistants with Marie Kleinert and Ray-Allen Taylor - VUI Agency

"Some text to speech systems. I mean as far you can understand them. They sound grit. Wavenet sounds sounds cool. Custom voices like the bbc. Sounds pretty good. But what people don't really understand. Is that really to make them sound proper. Natural not robotic and not kind of boring and making you switch off with through. It does require a little bit of you. Know attention requires shaping and moulding is that is that where you see linguists really helping our as far as the snl. Monaco been making things. Sound mall human definitely like like probably for maybe the beginning choosing the voice actually. It's also nice to help To know about the phonetics of voice and the a voice can can foreign by and So that you can really help Explaining why certain some good or Might not be the right fit for. Maybe you're brand custom assistant but also as you said for lulu as l. tuning meaning and so on ready to help haven't earphones and to Now want paul's those can actually do in terms of emphasis and all these Now trend mechanics actually Which are in a voice and the voice paramedics s. I mean that's that's the end part of it. And he can do so many mistakes and so many wrong things at the beginning when you start developing the essence start thinking about how should this t t a sound and whereas the defensive record him on oh and how won't get changed the whole deal in that that's another erkki. Just do without them and if that goes wrong the best estimate on help you to find unit to have occurs matic voice in the end in. Go one step. I suppose before as well and making sure that you've actually you've got the right words in the first place in the right order. So we're getting talkin about covers my voice assistance. We're gonna question from malcolm auckland moment while we're on the concept of voices and you know t t s and all that kind of stuff that you You announced a partnership with vocal ide- relatively recently joined. Tell us a little bit. More about will then tells we're thinking about how could we. Maybe we would try to fit our like persona dine that we create on linguistic character traits and so on that we would actually like most of the cases to also have the voice which exit to that. So i think it's good to Also partner or To communicate with each eds providers Right at the start so that you don't come into project and you have already selected boys and then you then you do the persona. The is i smarts to Yeah start at the beginning and work together where working at the moment is usually have two models. One is very general like it says everything perfectly and house perfect pronunciations and has all the words so it can sound nice but most of the time it's very without a character without charismatic without everything because it's not recorded that way then afterwards he pulled on top the voice like like how should it sound and sounding is not the same as emotions and things like that and we thought and still believing that is historic data at the beginning And to should start at the beginning to have a Voice and that's why we got in contact with them and then start thinking about. How could we developed the first grade a mental models for this voice before even going into how voice sound so. We wanna give it emotions. I was Interest in what are you finding from the work that you do in. We'll we'll get into the the supposed to relate to charisma. It is really commitment. But it's more broader than that. I i would would agree. But i would. I would put charisma as kind of a personality. Trait could be one of many kind of traits. If you like but the concept of having a persona and overarching persona on a brand voice is something that you know some companies have. It's what we talk about quite a lot. You know but the doesn't seem to be a tremendous lord of examples of things. I cost him. Brian voices in in the conversation is based on lord. It's getting there but what you see in from the work. They are doomed. The clients that you're doing. What's the appetite for those those custom voices and costumed personas and things. That is that like a monday thing that you always do or is it something that you kind of need to spend a bit more time selling en and all kinds of stuff well again quite fast. As a matter of fact the courses will once you explained to them that this is. I mean this is the person speaking to your customers in the end was you'll worry so. The persona design is not only the part fall forward voicing auditor that a sound or emotional voice. It's also words. it's It's it's you'll conversational partner so to to have conversation unique to people you need to persons bolsa. Dan own uses story. And if you just go for a use case and i want to fulfil you use case then it's very one sided conversation nobody stat. Even if i'm not interested in a conversation and talk to you and you come on and you bubble bobble you keep on talking. I will have a use. I have my own user story already will have in my act out this conversation. And that's how i speak. That's how i phrase my sentences replies to you and presumably design is more than just. How does voice. It's it's how does it speak. how do i react. What do i want. The i want to try and sell something as well to make that person more comfortable in this situation or Maybe educate that person on something else that i could also do in grand like i'm telling you how to screw in schools somewhere because he just went to a care and bought new bad. It's so much more than just the

Amy and Tavis Guild How to make large portrait photography sales from auctions

"I mean Tabas Welcome. Thanks for having us. Hello. Look there I the name of your town Roy Euchema. It's Yakima. So we have a lot of Indian native American names here. So we China and. Yakima we know. We know it's okay. We'll look talking about the the living in the you work from. Can you give us an idea of the population and the clients that you'll servicing? Yes. So calculation here is I guess our county is around two hundred thousand or so. But really like our city is around one, hundred thousand. So we're a farm town. So we produced seventy percent of the world tops, and so if you drink a beer, the odds that we grew here in Yakima are incredibly high and we also produce a large or should have the apples, peaches, cherries hairs were the fruit Bolsa. We're surrounded by farms and you come out here is that way you'll clients coming from from that family and community? Yeah. A lot of the farm owners, and of course, you know that's going to spur on other business in the area and so yeah, like our clientele. So our suit is a good pair of jeans. In the Collared Button. Up, shirts. If. You get fancy you can tuck your shirt in. If you WANNA, get really fancy you can just add like a blue blazer and anything beyond that is the super formal event that only happens once a year. And as obviously you guys both working the business do you have totally separate roles or overlap quite a bit? Yeah I would say we have pretty separate roles. Well, it all started when we started photographing weddings together and actually be very had kids. We've been married for twelve years before we had kids we did everything together. We sat side by side on our computers and photograph together did it all together but now with the kids, it's like I'm on duty in the office and I do a lot of the correspondence, the photo editing, the marketing things like that tavist as most of the photographing and all of the in person sales after and going to the clients home and inside the wall art so. Nowadays we actually do way more by ourselves the we do together but. is to be altogether your are you both actually shooting still? and. Then you both go out to weddings together would go to the same family portal's Tavistock one and I mean, you take another It just depends like this past Saturday, we had two separate events. So I went to one and tavist went to another with a an associate char and then family sessions he'll just go himself or take Khloe, our associate, and then every once in a while I'll get a babysitter and we'll both do the same wedding. It's really the kids that have changed the way the business runs yet, which is normal for every couple. Yeah, it's season and once they're grown and and shifting into the gears, they're going to be doing in life. I'm sure will spring back and. More together. Show and did I get that raw in the charter that it started with the wedding photography business and then you move into portraiture It did and you know the interesting thing is this we actually started as A. Company, and so it was back. When if you said, you did HD video it was like a marketing thing like it was like Oh you do hd like it was kind of like you offer the digital. Gets US important as that, and so we started with that and then quickly found every client wanted photography and we're like, okay, it's the same. We're doing all the manual settings on the video. Let's get into the tire free still world up, and so we quickly went full till photography and then soon thereafter drop the video side of things just because the workflow was difficult for our team size and we're like, Hey, let's just focus more on the photography inside and kind of fell into our laps that we even did. Weddings in the first place because we are both in college at the time and I was studying to be a teacher and I thought well in the summer like photographs a few weddings and then Soviet teacher year round. But by the end of our college career, we were doing late twenty five to fifty weddings a year twenty five was our first year and then fifty or next like, okay. Let's switch gears. Let's just do this full-time. So it was never like our lifelong plan to be wedding photographers it just kinda happened. But it's been a lot of fun. So then why the transition into portraiture. Well you know it's so interesting because for those of you that are wedding photographers out there, you'll know exactly what I'm about to say is is when you're at these events, it's kind of a commercial for yourself as an artist as a porsche artist because you're photographing families in in after that couple that you photograph, they then begin to start a family. So the longer you're in the industry. It really has a natural velopment to all of these people that you're just kind of their household photographer. You're a part of the family and your role is the artist right and we just start at the wedding side, and then as they begin to have kids and stuff like that, we do the newborn and then the family stuff, and then of course, you begin to be known for that also. Of course photographs, people, you didn't do their wedding, but ultimately, we've always kind of done family photography alongside weddings. More focused on weddings. But just recently, we decided to create a brand around that in a really helps with clear marketing messaging and all that stuff and being able to run promotions and not have it be conflicting with our you know bride and grooms, and you know the marketing pumping out for the wedding size thing. So that's why we split the brains. We didn't necessarily just start doing that we just made it super clear that we do that.

"This entire movement. All firefighters in Huntington Beach, dealt with what they might have to deal with again. Come this weekend. So this weekend we're expecting high has to be in the low one hundred's everywhere and so high fire danger. They're saying for everybody. And in Huntington Beach this past weekend firefighters there had to deal with the brush fire that almost got you got within 100 yards of a neighborhood. Started in Bolsa chica in some dry brush that was there yesterday. But what I'm fearful of is that last weekend could've been assigning or this past weekend could've been a sign of things to come. One of the things I want to point out is we talk about how close fires get two buildings. Have you ever noticed that almost relatively speaking statistically is the fires Don't go and burn up the houses or the buildings. That's because the firefighters throw everything they can to protect buildings. Yeah, I heard 11 person who lives really close to it, Who had the flames like I think he was the closest his home was the closest to the actual fire. And he was praising the heck out of the water drops and how the firefighters strategically positioned themselves in the hoses and whatever and it is. It's like a dance. It's like this cool dance that they all do with each other. It's a fire dance. Hit it. Yeah, it's like Hawaii Aah! With their fire dancing, Except not next few days, there'll be no fire dancing in Hawaii. No, That's because Hurricane Douglas Is putting a lot of wind and rain into those islands, and I think I mean there's no point going over past projections. About what? It was maybe going to dio so I'm looking up to see I can find something about where it is. Right now. I know that I have friends who live on the Big island and it did. It did go kind of north of that island, and they didn't really They had some rain, but like kind of normal Hawaii rain But it would look at yesterday was looking. I was going to slam right into. I think Oahu. And now they're predicting. Well, it could. It could hit the next island dead on sometime this evening. According to this latest projection I'm looking at from the from Noah. You know, I think there's only been twice and is it twice in history that a hurricane has made land in Hawaii? I own exceedingly rare. And you notice how they describe where the hurricanes are going north by Northwest, Partially Northeast and then go then south, maybe or not south, and then I. It's going west. It's always weird. How they do that North by Northeast and a little bit, Iet's just Ike. How do you know what that's going on? I just thought I'd mention that because it's stupid. All right, or I'm stupid by saying that let's get out of here. And I take a break. All right. Jennifer Europe, The California legislatures extended summer recess has ended. Sit Back and prepare to get turned on to fiber with Dr be will show wits the gut health doctor. Today's episode of the plant strong podcast. We have Dr will be Dr be will boss Bozo. It's also which wits got. I did first of all you nailed it on. The first try emailed it on the first try many second. Guess yourself a little bit those who it's also there you go and it's just confidence. My friend is just common. You just gotTa say it with confidence. That's well what. What is that Polish? What is that? It's polishing is a fully Polish name. And you know in the in the hard thing is like we say it now is in American word. Polish names are not meant to be said as American work. It's just so let me let me hear you stay it. Will I say the same way that you said? At the first time I said Bolsa wits I say both Switz- but if you were to go to Poland's they would stable Schevitz and actually think Bolsheviks just roll off the tongue. You know what it does bull shit like that Wife is Polish her her last name. Coalition ski so I think she's my cousin. Actually yeah I see a resemblance So we got a lot of exciting things to talk about here today. You know I think for starters what I'd like to ask you is so you are a gastroenterologist and I think I pronounced that correct. You did a gastroenterologist and so what exactly is a gastroenterologist we are the we are the experts on all organs of digestive function so one of the things that people kind of look at me including my mother-in-law the first time I met her like why did you decide to become a doctor so and so let me. Just say the the reason that I love what I do are the reason I love what I do is that if I were cardiologists I would just be a heart guy all day long art all the time whereas for me I get. I get to have diversity as we're GonNa hold earned during this podcast. Diversity is a good word I love it And so I. I'm the I'm considered the expert on the Asaf. Igus stomach. Small Intestine. The colon the pancreas the liver even the hemorrhoids. I'm expert. That's a good thing to be expert and I bet you I bet you that the line out your door is never ending. Probably can circumstances. There is a line out the door. There is no lack of business. I'm not worried that no matter what I put into the world's that I truly believe a person like my book every person in the entire world could read my book but unless they all actually do. What's in the book? I don't I'm not GONNA be putting myself out of business anytime soon. That's for sure. Yep You're talking about the book and we're GonNa get to the book which is Super Exciting. It's your first book right for smoke. First Book Fiber fueled what? I'm going to save that for a little bit later. So gastroenterologist and how long have you been practicing finish my training in two thousand fourteen so basically six years? Now I've been in practice. But you know if you if you look at just sort of Long drawn-out path and I know that you're familiar with the way this works. Yeah I started college back in ninety eight and I went and I did for years of college. Four YEARS OF MED school. I did four years of internal medicine residency including I was achieved president northwestern and four years of GI training to become a specialist in part of the reason why did four years is actually didn't Epidemiology Fellowship University of North Carolina. So that's sixteen years at Sixteen Years. From Ninety eight until twenty fourteen finally wrapped up. You know it's Kinda funny. I thought about this too by the way sixteen years of training but like working eighty to a hundred dollars a week which means that just my training alone is essentially the equivalent of what most people do for the entirety of their labor campaign. Before they retire. To- totally sixteen years of training right before you went into practice before I enter crackers before you enter practice and in that sixteen years of training. How much information that you have been your new book fiber fueled. Did you learn in that traditional setting and when and when did your education really begin? The education never stops never stops. And that's that's true. I think for all of us but I think that's particularly true in medicine if you're if you're not constantly updating your knowledge base in medicine than your rapidly going to become a dinosaur and but with regard to your question rib and this is a completely valid question and it's one of the weak points to me of traditional Western medicine. I will openly acknowledges very little very little training on Diet. Nutrition lifestyle in honestly. What kind of one of the big things that I did along the way to try to update that nutritional training was actually did the e cornell. Course yeah so. That's that's just one of the things that I did but it's it's actually quite shocking that I do sixteen years of training and have almost no conversations about. How do we fix a person's diet to address the root of the problem well and I would imagine that and correct me if I'm wrong here but I would imagine that those line the lines of people that are out your door that are seeing you because they have some sort of a GI issue distress That ninety percent of those could be resolved by filing what we're GonNa talk about today which is really a a whole food plant based Diet. That has a huge diversity of fiber. That that too simplified. I don't not only do. I not think I think that is spot on number one and number two might here ninety percent and think that you're overreaching and you're being hyperbolic and actually think it might be more than that right. I mean I have not exaggerating. I literally I literally bleed and I'm not saying that that ripped that we would live in this Utopian world where we all live to be two hundred years old literally no disease at all. I'm not saying that what I am saying is that if the root of the problem starts with our microbiome which in my specialty that is where the root of the problem starts if the root of the problem is the microbiome and number one way that you can change. Your microbiome is with the food that you eat then. We need to be doing that when we take care of these patients. Otherwise we're knowing the root of the problem we're putting a patch over it with the pill but so you say the term microbial but in your sixteen years of training was that was that discussed or is that kind of like for example. I feel am. I'm embarrassed to say that you know this is kind of you know wh my huge passion right and I didn't know about the microbiome and how it's considered kind of like the second brain in the lost Oregon until like three and a half four years ago. I mean to the conversation. Just start recently about this or you know others these studies. There's these studies where they say. Okay how long does it take from the day of publication for it to actually get into common knowledge among medical doctors when they look at that? But they come up with seventeen years. It's at seventeen years from the day of papers published and I just think we don't need to be practicing medicine with the research studies that came out in two thousand and three right now. I think we need to be practicing medicine with the Research Studies. That came out last week or or this week right. It's time for us to update and that's the beautiful thing. Is that everything? Every single thing in my book is sourced. It's all source. There are six hundred references. And I'll be honest. I challenge doctors. I challenge the doctors who are listening to this show. Want you to read my book and I want you to check my sources. Because they're there and I think when you do you're GONNA learn you're going to learn that this is the path

Fires in the Amazon rooted in deforestation pushed by Brazil's president

"Take a nice deep breath and say thanks to the amazon rainforest okay. I'm exaggerating a bit but the amazon region produces twenty percent of the oxygen and in the planet's atmosphere. That's why it's been called the lungs of the earth and right now. Those lungs are burning for the past three weeks. Massive wildfires in brazil have have been destroying vast parts of the amazon brazil's national institute for space research said earlier this month that a record amount of farce has gone up in smoke this summer more rain forrest sent in the last three years combined environmentalists have been especially alarmed about deforestation since the election brazil's president gyro bolsonaro last year he came into office promising to develop the amazon region for farming and mining bolsonaro had this to say to his critics yesterday ugliest alda regarding the amazon fis. I'm under the impression they could have been started by the ngos. What was their intention to bring about problems. In brazil. Romolo battista is the amazon campaigner for greenpeace. He's brazil. I asked him what he sees. When he steps outside in the city of manaus we see him announced. Some is smoke and ashes futterman is not close the the big fires have some spot fires but in the main capitals of the moslem is almost impossible to see the light of the sun i mean the amazon is a massive rainforest. How much of it has been affected. Well tanning right now about data. Difficult goes what we have right now. Is that the baltic spots because there is a lot of smoke. The satellite cannot read exactly what it what do we have a is record in the last nine years as to present bolsa narrows claim that ngos started the fires. What is your reaction to that. Also it's a attempt by the president to hide hi dean cellphone consequences of environmental policy. He has been adopted. Its attempt to blaming anyone who denounced the environmental problem screened by his own ordering. How how much of a factor is deforestation in causing these wildfires. Almost all of these fires caused by human actions they use the fire is an instrument of frustration <unk> to destroy inaugu by designed for different use of soil then once we are going to dry seasons much more difficult to talk. It's important to know that there was another fifty percent off the money for the full probational fire he cut house off off the income from this program what we see in <hes> pictures of sao paulo <hes> enveloped in smoke. Do you know how this is all affecting people's people's health whether it's in the amazon or anywhere in brazil in a lot of fights he knows own these are happening since these devices on east start they they have increased of people going to host out because of breathing problems in my nose smell smoke smell will forest bernie or can. Most white pass rushers have a certain sensibility. That is not I'm trying to find the right way to say this like touted up they got their like their friends are not white. Okay. The thing is like where to begin. So he's tweets worth parsing out the tweet because the the truly problematic was the likes look liking some like memes about immigration stuff. You saw some Twitter people of calling that out. But the things he actually tweeted were just like all perceived as code was stuff. Like Black Panthers over rated beyond say sucks. Those are the two he should have completed the fact in like Michelle Obama's becoming. He's actually not a great book or something. But he he had like those like he's like sending vibes out without. Don't say it. But that's kinda interesting, right? Because like there is a difference between tweeting something in liking something in terms of accountability. It made it harder. I think if he'd actually tweeted any of the stuff on immigration, it'd be a very different story. But stuffy tweed was of vague enough for people to not really know how to talk about it because we're like, well what we don't really know. What is beliefs are because he's being kind of cagey. The second thing about Nick Bosa that I wanna talk about as the story was breaking. And I was kind of I was laughing too. I had the same. He blocked me never tweeted about him. And then I tell you this Bomani. And I'm like, well, maybe he just went through and blocked a certain kind of media. He didn't walk. You know, he blocked me Hurson who has never tweeted about him up.
