That's right. We have a surge of warmth and Boisture headed our way for the end of the week. But we are quiet for now. Just a few clouds out there tonight, low thirty two in midtown mostly twenty s outside of the city, then tomorrow, sunshine becomes dimmed my high cloudiness ahead of that next storm system, high seasonable forty-one then tomorrow night, clouds will thicken followed by rain starting toward daybreak in the city little earlier in west and the parts of Sullivan, and Ulster counties will see a couple of hours, freezing, rain prospects. With sleet angels there for some icy spots as a result, but their tempers rise above freezing toward daybreak and to the mid forties in midtown. The mild windy rainy days on the way for Friday, high fifty eight and behind that we will dry out Saturday other chance of some rain maybe mixed with snow was a towards colder Sunday a right now. "Giving share three or four or five eleven forty is the number. If you wanna get through like, I said earlier for those of you to the frying like I did remember, the, you know, getting rid of that oil, there's a couple different ways. I mean, if you want to just take it out in the woods and dump it out. You can do that. If you really want to. I'm what I'm gonna do is I'm going to filter mine, and and save it. I'm gonna keep it in a really cold place because oil will go rancid. I mean, just like the believe it or not the oils in your cabinet. We'll we'll go rancid. They go bad. They're not designed to last forever. Olive oil. Specially that stuff we'll get funky. Got a shelf life. So that's what I'm saying. But if you're not if you do have that like massive amounts of oil like do three gallons. Which was exactly the right amount to say, no, I'm probably instead of once. I've used it a second time, I'll probably take it to a restaurant. You know, I know several people that own restaurants. They have this big grease. Things in the back where you just poured in that stuff comes gets processed and turned back into cooking oil. So whatever I can do. That's what I'm going to start with three four five eleven forty. An. What can I do for enrichment? I like to have a good ISIS and wonder if you had a recommendation for someone to the chimney and the last guys I dealt with was chimneys sabre solutions. Right. And I like them because you know, chimney, chimney guys are real hit or miss for me. And mostly it's because someone will get a job at a good company like chimneys savers. And then they'll work there for a month or two months ago. And this is easy alls. I need is a ladder and a couple of brushes, and they go off and hang their own shingle. What we had the last time. We we didn't. Solutions with somebody else and all this a little concerned with their recommendation. So I thought you would probably know the best. Yeah. I again, I get really funny about it. I'll never forget. I was a kid. I mean, really small kid we moved into an old house. My dad hired somebody to come. Look the chimney. The guy said, yeah, this is no problem. You can use. This Germany is perfectly. Good. And my dad takes a poker any wiggles between two bricks and goes bump bump bump, and he says you hear that? That's my siding. Do you really think I should use this chimney? Yeah. I know. And fire. So yeah, give them a call. And you tell them is sent you. I will. Thank you so much have a good day, ma'am. Thank you. Three or four five eleven forty. I gotta do them out there to check on my place to you know, something someone brought it up last week. And I I hadn't thought about it. In a while, I guess because I didn't need to. But my house originally had an oil fired boiler in the house, which I hated I hated hated heating with oil. It was expensive. You know? It's a lot of money all at once. Boom. Imagine filling your car except it's five hundred gallons, right? Yeah. That sucked. And so my dad, and I we switched my house over to gas fired boiler because well gas was available, and that house was the funny thing we had this huge guest service for the house and. All it was running was was the stove was the only thing gasping fed to we still had oil heat. And now, I do have to be you know, I haven't thought about it. That's I tell other people about it. And you don't think about things for yourself. But by switching over to gas. I might actually be jammed damaging my chimney. See what happens is oil oil. It's not supposed to. But let's face. It. Burns dirty in comparison to other things. And and it leaves soot on the inside of your chimney liner. Gas burns much cleaner a lot cleaner. But it also runs moist. If you don't understand what I mean. I mean, literally, the the exhaust is got a lot of moisture in it. And I've told other people that. If you don't if you switch from oil to gas, you need to have that chimney clean because the moisture can damage. We'll get into the old soot and make it very acidic and can actually damage the inside of the chimney. And now I mean, I was thinking about this last week after one of my listeners called in to get somebody in here. But I will say this one thing I do have in my house carbon monoxide monitor smoke detectors. They're important. If you're going to burn anything in your home, get those carbon monoxide detectors, excuse me monitors. I wanna I wanna see a monitor all good three four five eleven forty. Let me see the peop-. I put up on the Facebook machine. What do people want to talk about? Let me see. Here's a good one Richard adding bathroom vent fan getting exhaust pipe connected correctly. Drip back through people. You're talking cryptic. I guess what they're saying is how do I put exhaust fan in my bathroom? Well. It's not horribly difficult. It's not fun. But it's not horribly difficult one. If it's if you're in a two story house, and you're trying to put it into the first floor. Good luck. You're probably gonna end up having the tear out most of the ceiling, or at least cut out a section of it. So you can get it mounted. I really am impressed. These days with the new exhaust fans that are just like these really super high CFM's. Meaning they move a lot of air. There are a little noisy. I will say that. But they move a lot of air. That's the first thing. We'll get the biggest exhausted you can possibly get three or four or five eleven forty Robert in Chesterfield. Hey, mister McCain. I remember my dad has mister McCain. I'm richard. Okay. Good. Well, my dad's got my same name. So we're there I'm looking at gas loves free that put in my fireplace. That y'all obviously had several years of Whitlow fire. I've kept kept it all underneath it. I give a little breach in it on the ages that I've got a piece of sheet metal in there. Been very effective. "So how many times do we do that? Because. Is nice. But let's just barely getting me going here. Entertaining. Keno. Not that much. It's it's not feeling you know, people are always talking about diet. Always there that Philly. As many as you want while you're also working at it, usually as as you're consuming, which I think is Robert Spalding is work. That's right. Jerry is just eating is working different. It's very true. Robert, can you maybe tell us if you're new to eating oysters what the best way to approach this product is from consuming standpoint. Do you use them in your net? Do you use the lemon? Do you? Just go for it just straight up. Sure. So as far as individual tastes goes. And how adventurous you might be with trying new foods if you might be a little bit apprehensive about trying wasters for the first time, I would recommend going for smaller Pacific or KOMO Easter probably from the south Puget Sound maybe a little bit less. Brian some sweetness and cucumber and melon flavors. There are a little bit more approachable than say Olympia, which is really really packed with mineralogy. Just tanny. Go for the smaller ones. And if you like them continue to ask the oyster shocker to give you other oysters from different areas and see what you like as far as your waster sensibility is it's important to go to a place where the Shuckers and or servers really know there a wasters because they can guide you through your first experience. So as a rule of thumb if you if your customer, you wanna buy always stews, what's the base recommendation? I mean, the number one thing you guys all know this probably here, but it is very important to note by saying hi to you like wide open. Yeah. You want to stay away from shellfish? That's not an ice you. I mean these few key component. Yes. If you walk into a salvage moment. Ideally, when I walk into establishment. I'm looking for a place that's fairly clean the person that shucking oysters is put together looks articulate can talk about the shocking. Well, in that way. I know that they know about the sisters in the probably therefore know how to treat the oysters. If I get an oyster that on the tray that doesn't have a lot of liquor in it, there's not a lot of juice. It's attached to the shell still. Anything like that? That's kind of a warning sign. It is often my first recommendation when people, you know, at Lula, whatever they always asked me. So what can can do in Seattle is still? You gotta go down the shore on on the peel and Goodhue Elliott and get some get some nice, and even some crab. You know, put that on the table and have a nice Seattle experience. Absolutely come on down and try some it's the season. Yeah. Absolutely. So are you totally chefs are you totally against cooking any of these. Or do you own is it sacrilege to cook annoy stra for us, Robert? I don't think there's any sacrilege as far as anyone how they want to to try new eastern. Of course, I had a gentleman from Texas asked me for Tabasco sauce, and it was just playing with him. I said Tabasco, and he was kind of 0 said is there anything wrong with that mattress? Nothing wrong with you intakes regional, however, you've enjoyed wasters in the past. Is is great. I love cooked oysters. I like a nice Friday waster in some buffalo sauce that has bacon grease in it instead of. Oh, my. That got Katie. I'm not I'm not that big on cooking. That's not me. But I'm definitely right now, we have a scallop dish with the Bill blonde. Finished with diced stews in it. And that's basically. Eddie comes to the table is nice because he gives a beautiful Brian this to your sauce, and I think it works. Really? Well, as I loved textures, I've had some delicious stews. And I think Tom you used to do when I don't know if he's still do town, which is kind of a creamier broth, but it's not thick and heavy like we think of chowder literally like half and half with shucked oysters. Oh, that's probably why. Yeah. I think maybe there we go. Wasters? Maybe my mother-in-law used to make Boisture stuffing for the Turkey. Oh my God. Poor thing she's gone now. But we still talk about her terrible stuffing. Okay. Robert Spalding from Elliott's. Thank you so much for the.

"Nine FM south Tampa, nine seventy valet all over Tampa Bay. Good morning. It's A M Tampa Bay, and we're on the road this morning at the Anna Maria oyster bar, which is on Brighton Beach or Annamaria. I'll whichever you want to call it here. But we're on bridge street, which is just off golf drive. If you come to the traffic, circle, you go east on bridge street Moore right down at the end next to the pier. And they're open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and you ain't gonna believe what I'm looking at. Now there. It is known crab claws. Love love those things. So pretty and the key to is. And the sauce looks terrific. I haven't gotten into him yet. But I'm going to get into them in a minute. I thought season didn't start until November. I am tickled to death to see that just a couple of days ago. So we are here at the right time. Yeah, we're here to let people know that the red tide is now a part of our Tampa Bay history. It is no longer here. And this is the best time of the year to come down here before all. Crazies come from up north. I'm going to say this is the best time of day to be here right now. The sun's about to rise the breeze perfect. Everything is perfect. And when you drive down Gulf drive here, you realize I mean, I forgot growing up here. How many restaurants there are on the island on the beach? And you know, it's time for people to start making their way out to the beach against are visiting these amazing restaurants. Yeah. There are four Annamaria Boisture bars around here, and I've been to one of them, but not this one I think it was on Cortes or somewhere. I'm not sure we're the one I've been to previously was what joy was able to find them. I was looking at let me see here. Checking to see when the sun will be up and. Seven thirty one. See it in the horizon, it's seven thirty one is when it comes up. So we got another forty five minutes or so before it comes up I wanted to get a little bit into politics here now because some people are suggesting that the Democrats are tickled to death that Michael tore up the panhandle because there's a concern that they're not going to be able to get back to vote in time in November. And of course, governor Rick Scott is trying to push them to set up special voting rights for one of these people do come back when they eventually get back there if they get back before the election day on November six, but this was sent to me eight Florida friends, we could be in big trouble. The panhandle is a conservative stronghold. And it is indeed that a lot of places where President Trump took seventy percent of the vote in. In some of those panhandle counties and cities and has helped Republicans win Florida races in almost every election in my concern beyond the life shattering circumstances. That these beleaguered residents are enduring is that voting in the upcoming election is probably the last thing on their minds, and I would agree with that. It could help though the Republicans because you have to think Andrew gillum being the mayor in Tallahassee you'd have to think in the panhandle area. And is it even going to be physically possible for them to vote, and will there be polling locales that are accessible, and what to do is there some way to help like taking the ballot box to the voters. And I don't know. But I'm fearful without the votes from the panhandle. We're gonna end up. He says the socialist governor who could destroy our beautiful state, and we'll be stuck with Senator Bill Nelson and any idea about how we can help.
