"Makeup reason he typically has two black is right now. it's one but he has really good makeup. This beard not real. Wow i choose my munching on the lower quadrant and this job because you can't see the bruises. This is why we call the beard so many years. Actually it's it's about the time we've been working together right around like little closer. The beard showed up and punching has ensued. ever since. so it's a. I'm sorry man. I'm not really sorry. Fine looking beard. You've been complimented so many times you extra no stoppage. i love. you'll be jealous. What's what's another thing. What's like a final idea. A thought that popped up from this conversation shift that you had you know we did. We did talk a little bit about imposter syndrome. And i i sort of i think are articulated. My my thoughts on imposter syndrome. I feel like. I don't get the impostor syndrome as much from like ooh this. I don't deserve to be talking to this guest. But i do sometimes get the impostor syndrome around specific topics tangents on the show right. Like if somebody is is talking a lot of the mental game the The you know when it starts to get more metaphysical when it starts to get a little more on the woo. Woo stuff like that. That's like my brain is such on a logic wavelength. That stuff that to me. Kind of defies logic. I struggle to interject myself into those conversations And so i thought are are sort of riff on. Those ideas was was interesting. Because i was sort of learning stuff about myself as i was saying out loud i think you and i both kind of gotten better at this. On the podcast of stream of thought let. What's inner minds outright. I i've i've sort of let down the guard of and the the sort of filters and just whatever flows now and i think that's a good thing but at the same time i'm still very self conscious often about like i don't know if i can add to this conversation and i think i think me kind of talking that out with brian was really beneficial to me Like what do you think came with that. Is it more of like a freedom to just like kind of say something. Well i think his reaction to my statement. Say remind so i i i basically said that. And he was like you know what you're way ahead of the game because you're way more self-aware than others people don't even realize that that's happening. You actually notice that that's happening and can actually articulate to others. what's going on in your brain. Most people don't have that and when he said that to me that sort of freed my mind to go plus just do that more often just like whatever spinning in my brain. Just let it out and you know. Don't worry what they're going to think because their reaction is probably going to be similar. They're probably it's probably gonna come across better in the actual conversation than it. Is it me pre gaming it in my mind You know like that. Yeah and that's I think that's kind of like what his whole mission is to is is a waking the giant. You know not within. Because it's tony research but you know like the sleeping what are you. Yeah the sleeping giant in every human. And that's what sometimes like. I think that could be sleeping in you. You know it was like a really cool frigging perspective. No like these scenarios but think about it. 'cause 'cause even said it on the podcast is like sometimes he'll be quiet. You know like joe will do the work on this one. Yeah 'cause like but then when you say them like shit that was really cool and you said that really well. And i never thought of that but yeah it takes the gears a little bit more for you know. You're putting the pieces together. I guess your mind but but even then it's like usually i know you're you're that's the thing it's not about all you but i'm so interested here. Yeah but like you're so damn deep to all this stuff feeling reverse reversed happens as well and i mean you could correct me if i'm wrong. What the mental you know cures that are turning in your brain might be totally different but I know when we have like more tactical episodes like if we're going down like facebook ads or something rarely if ever in the facebook ad platform so we might be talking about numbers areas of the platform and stuff like that that you haven't even experienced so you're gonna you're gonna tend to step back and okay matt scott this one. Yeah i look at more. Like those conversations my brain's like searching for meaning behind it or trying to clarify some of these things and how that fits into the bigger picture. Yeah yeah that's like where my head goes in those kind of things. Because yeah i can't i can't run the metrics and all that stuff nor do i really want you care but yeah it's interesting that shows up. Yeah but I like it man so yeah stuff read stuff. I mean there was a lot we're gonna have around to so we'll we'll be talking about brian again in the future so let's let's leave it there for now I i do have one request. "Launched go to who before what dot com. It'll tell you a little bit. Who stories is and. I'm going to let that do the speaking. Because i frankly won't do it. Justice who before what dot com. That's the story thing but man we're going to be changing the landscape of actually telling the who stories behind the who's in the world who at the simple whale describe it out of it so nuff man little rabbit hole there. We'll go down. I know. Brian bogert dot com. You have some cool videos. And i think there are a little older. You're telling me. But man. I watched a few of those. You know one with your son and can't be obvious like men episode. Am cool and yeah you just put it all out there. And i think it's a lot of what people are what we have in our minds or what we think we want in our minds. But it's all possible. We got a lot of sleeping giants out there man. And you're doing the. I mean you said it. There's so much that's in our mind so much on our bodies. And i genuinely believed that the root of all suffering i say all. I say that pretty confidently. I really don't know. But i believe that the root of a lot of suffering right is what's left unsaid. What people don't feel they have the permission to feel or say or what they don't have the words to say. Think about that whether you're in business relationship health or life said like we know these things but we don't allow ourselves to live them infield them and communicate them. We're so afraid of what's on the other side of what happens when those words enter our mouth or at exit or mouth Right and so when we sit here and we think about that. It's like that data that the papacy. That's the work and that's the work. It's it's it's interesting work and it's kind of fun actually. When you get through the tardy shit. I but things were leading the charge and make it a little bit more clear for all of us did so do around to for building a platform for some of the world before we want to impact the billions where where are the ninety nine point nine nine nine nine nine nine nine nine nine nine percent. We'll never pay us a dollar right and we're very okay with that because we know that those that are gonna lean in investing themselves. They're gonna substantiate all the resources. We need to perpetuate that impact. So thank you for commenting on the content. That's out there. You'll see the majority of our content. We don't have funnels and clicks and go to our website to download. This i mean. Do we have certain things like that. And our business. Of course we do right. But the majority of the of the content that we creates january their elevating empower the world. So if you don't mind. I just wanna ask anybody who's listening if anything resonates with you. If anything moves you. I'm not talking about you. Just go to that school be. I'm talking like does it move right. I just liked common share. This isn't for like vanity metrics right. This is genuinely because it allows more eyeballs to see it right and what i know definitively that move people move people all. I'm asking you if you feel moved past that on. Move someone else. Because that's the only we get to. A billion is collectively. So let's go get some collective impact. I'm asking for your help. Chips rise together brother. Yeah how can folks follow you around too so yeah at bogert brian on all social media platforms. Brian dot com. They can find us in connect with us and funny enough. I'm actually you guys gonna be the first. You wanna do this. I going to give it to you guys. This is new. look on. you can now text me as well. They're reading let's do it six. Oh two seven four. Five one eight nine. We just got in place literally this week. And we're super excited about that. Because we've been having a lot of requests because i am not the greatest communicator on other platforms textile. Very good so now. We've got a dedicated right to me. Thanks for doing them. Thanks for sharing. Appreciate you so much. Rather we'll talk again very thanks. Thank you man. A mind-boggling was actually aimed. Extender we're recording this a day after we are that's why we're wearing different clothes looking different and we've let bryant's perspectives marinate into her mind overnight. Yes that's exactly what happened. It wasn't because we got way way way too busy yesterday at all. Well it's just the end of the day it was family. Guess i wanted to get home. Yeah he did. I did you did you did it. I went home. Probably our after a leader of a family guy. It's true debt To brian so he is a obviously a wealth of perspectives. And that was. I don't know that was just wild and everything that we've always heard from brian. You know and and again shadow to chris. Ross rawson george for making these connections and george the reconnection I'm so happy that we had him on. We're going to do around to we will. Yeah i mean. I have so much more legitimately took a bunch of notes directions. I wanted to go as he was talking and we didn't even talk most of them so we'll definitely around to. He's also got a really really fascinating story. He teased added. He mentioned that he basically doesn't have tricep in one arm and he's you know don't give it away but i'm not gonna tell. I'm not telling this story of how it happened. That it he opened the loop so make sure that when we do a route to you listen to find out that whole story the way obviously you can go check it out. What his story is but also been on two hundred fifty podcast of the story's pretty hard pretty easy to find. You want to the yeah man. So he's he's just got so much crazy experiences he went through. That happened to him but obviously he's. He's far past that. I mean he's taking the power from within rather than the whole external stuff beasley sheep who he is. And i think that's so damn cool yeah and So couple shoutouts so obviously will be taking notes for you action guides. Get them at the fletcher group. Not the flu turkey group. It's just flow chart group. Dotcom wonder the flow chart. Group is taken because maybe have it. Why not i mean is ten bucks means flow chart group dot com maybe the..

That's the santa my car when it starts you have an electric vehicle. it's true. it's not only because joe makes the sound. When you press the button he goes brimmer may still. Some of my kids toys. The car toys sound effects. I pressed that because the electric cars not going pro all right so we're not talking about that right now. We're talking about mr. brian. Bogert brian bogert. And this is a an episode. That's a long awaited at least for us. Yeah well when. When did you first get in touch with him. It was like twenty twenty. I believe okay. I don't think we're doing anything the camera right now. We're not but. Brian is here and he is bringing it. And we're gonna do around two with him so you know that. This episode was fired. Brian is he describes him as well. He claims there's a sleeping giant in every human. Do you think that's true after the course of this conversation Yes i do are you sure. Do i sure as hell think so. I don't know. I don't know if it's sleeping and everybody but there's a giant and everybody's definitely giants but a lot of us have no clue. Giant is inside of us. Well i know where my giant is starting out this thing with that out all right. Brian would appreciate loving fun guy. He's a great guy. So this episode. It's going to be a lot of fun. We're talking about some podcasting stuff. Brian's hit hard on guesting podcastone. Or what two hundred and fifty episodes plus yes just. In one year he went ham. That's the definition of him. And then we'll be talking about podcasting so you're going to get a lot of insights there even if you don't have one if you have one pot hacker dot com spoke And then also but he he's talking about just just wild things about things Your mindset versus tactics and how we brought that up a lot on our show a lot of layers deeper on the understanding behind that and why both of those actually are truly important. Yes the mindset. Verse tactic talk is Is deep deeper than we've probably talked about the comparing the two in the past so so yeah there's more meaning and We got a little vulnerable. I would say quite a bit vulnerable with him and he And he dug in was fun. Yeah so if you want to know like some of our the mental stuff that's going on some of the stuff that we struggle with. Yeah we opened up to him on this episode about some of that stuff pretty sure you can relate to pretty much all of it because that's what happens. Yeah that's why we share. that's brought. brian. USMNT Announces Gold Cup Roster
"Right into a charlie. This is this is what we like to do. This is only like to think about. This is what we're looking forward to this summer after that. Big nations league victory from the us. Mnt the gold cup. We knew that this was not going to be the same roster. That went out competed oakley one that nation's league tournament gregg berhalter has been saying it for a long time. We're gonna have to separate groups. There might be a little bit of overlap and likely that overlap is gonna come from mls players because it is the summer and you've got transfer window open you've got guys going into preseason camps trying to earn their way like for instance. He said brian reynolds not here because joe's marino doesn't generally play younger players so they want brian reynolds to beat at roma from the jump with the new manager to make sure he has a chance to get into the team otherwise he's going to be working From behind a couple other names in that scenario where cameron carter vickers gotta figure his cup situation. Eric palmer brown to figure out his cup situation. And greg said admitted our centre-back cool is a little bit light. So here is the roster for those of you who haven't seen it goalkeepers matt turner the likely starter. Funny story there. We'll get to that shawn johnson. Brad gazon defenders george bellew reggie cannon shack more. That was a little bit of a surprise. Donovan pines another site. Surprise but again center back a little bit thin per berhalter miles robinson a starter says greg james sands sam vines and walker zimmerman the other presume starter at center back in the midfield coma. Kosta general kabuchiko stand up kansas city especially jet criminal. Don eric williamson. Who was my must have on this roster injection you'll end up top paul arriola gerald decay. Nicholas keeney matthew hoppy. Who's in for the first time. Jonathan lewis josse artists. Give me your initial reactions. You saw this. Twenty-three you're thinking about the summer you're thinking about the task at hand which is both to win a gold cup but also develop players to push into the first team to get to the world cup. What are you thinking right now on this thursday morning for me. I'm thinking there's not any anyone that i'm particularly surprised about. That's one too. I think this group is is has enough quality to win now if mexico brings. They're a team. That's going to be challenged in especially with mexico hungary to avenge that nation's league loss.

"Now's the time to do it again. If you need help we can certainly help guide you by all means. Nobody else is gonna save you. That's words to live by brand. So where can people find out more about you in the incredible work you do. Yep go to brian. boettger dot com. You'll see all of our social handles on their at bogut brian You know what we didn't talk about his running mission to impact a billion lives by two thousand forty five. And so why i say that is we. We know that ninety nine point nine nine nine nine nine nine nine nine nine percent will never pay a dollar and we're very okay with that because we recognize that those that choose to invest and go deeper are the ones that are going to be able to help substantiate all the resources we need to impact those billion lines so i say that because when you go there you're going to see a lot of free content. I put a lot out there to truly elevate and empower those.

"I definitely notice a big difference. And that's that's part of the reason we have log as well on top of other intellectual content we released. That's part of the reason. I integrate my kids and things that we do in posts because it shows you. I am as a person not who i am is just a you know a toad speaker content creator thought leader those kinds of things so yeah i think it creates an authentic connection and the world right now is starving for authentic leadership right and so when you can see the person behind the concept. I think it makes the concepts more valid as well because they feel relatable either you know credibility there's resonance and they're they're all of a sudden becomes a common bond on something that we jointly shared right so i've got stuff where i'll post with me mountain biking right and it brings in a different audience than if i'm talking about my jeep or my kids and we're playing in the pool or whatever right like it's just it speaks to different parts of food in and of itself as a connector because you shared bread with people and i think food also house a different elements of how we're emotionally wired tied to it because food often brings us into memories and experiences. Because it's such a front strong connector. So you know when we look at our favorite dish. It might remind of grandma's favorite dish. It puts us into a warm sentimental place right so many people who like to enjoy to consume food. It's a multi sensory experience. So when you see a picture of food you often start salivating. So not only. Is it a connector. But i think in your case when you talk about food in that place it's like well you all hit them mentally and emotionally in a place in an intellectual piece of content might not plus to it helps me walk the walk when i say okay. I can't eat the foods that are used to eat way back when in the brown paper bag and this is the types of food that i typically eat now and i think from that it makes it a better connection and said you know it the breaking bread in connecting with people biggest okay. He's he's a real person all right now. Maybe i'll start listening a little bit more to what he's saying about stress. Prevention may be by his book may be all is course because okay. He's he's he's human he's he's authentic you know. He stubbed his toe. You know. I mean. I could have taken a picture of the you know. The dead dishwasher. The got carted out of my condo today. You know it's like it's real life things like well here it is. You know it's it's gone and now you're gonna have the fun of installing a new one and keep them up bucket handy just in case because you never know it's like yeah that's tight enough i i i think plumbers definitely deserved a lot. More credit because sometimes with me and in water and plumbing. That's not a good combination mix. Yeah my mom and my dad. You know recipes. Dad would definitely go. You'd better find an office job because you're not good being handed. So and he said that lovingly take that as an insult that was a that was a truth moment Yes painful to receive at first but it helped me avoid decades of suffering going. Yeah i'm just not good at this. So that's why you hire people and for fortunate enough that i can do that too..

"It's nutrition rast relationships you name it everything. Yeah you're spot on right. It's like to use the food example. I'm lactose intolerant. When i consume i can consume some types of cheese and dairy milk. Is it wrecks my system. I've got an upset stomach. I just feel crappy all the time. Well guess what. I love milk. I embrace the pain of not consuming milk to avoid the suffering of having an upset stomach nonstop. Because i i'm consuming something that my body doesn't like i like the flavor of it. My body doesn't like what it does to it right so it's no different but that's all i love that you give the food example because it really does apply everything in life right. We must use our painter are suffering. choose us. I'm lactose intolerant. As well so. I feel your pain literally. it's yeah. It's in came and went. I think i've had it for a long time. I probably hadn't even as a kid and just really pay much attention to it but as an adult was able to drink it for awhile and didn't really notice a lot of things or the symptoms ra- mild but then as time went on Symptoms became a quite in quite problematic in k. I think i know what this is because like you know a document i'm like okay. I'm not gonna have that and sure enough. It's what it was. So i'm with you. There are certain types of cheeses. That are okay. If i had. Let's say chicken parmesan from italian restaurant. I'm wrecked for two days. I'm just I'm just the first day. I'm not gonna mention it but you can imagine the second is just. I just feel lousy. Like and listening to myself is tasty as that was to me. Now that is. I don't want to days of suffering. And so i'm not going to deal with that in the pain and the suffering and all of that is yes gonna miss eating. That of course would i. I mean at home. I could try to get what she's don't bug me. Okay figure that out. And that's okay. Let me make this at home and see but then on the other side of it. I am waiting for test results. Come back because i've.

"All day then you wake up in the morning in you feel better because you've slept better which means those aches and pains the might have are going to be reduced or nonexistent depending on on what they are and it's simple of going okay. I'm going to invest in learning what i'm allergic to and what. I'm not in eliminate those things for my diet. And i will feel better and i tell people to a food journal or journal. I'm a big fan of that because you can gauge on how your day's going in a good way to because if there's a potential health situation that you could be facing so many of us unfortunately are blissfully unaware of our feeling truly how things are going and if you start documenting these things over period of time you noticed some trends in ago Okay i'm noticing this a little bit what's going on in my world and my life that could be contributing to this. Is there something that. I need to adjust to fix that and we are. I don't wanna call us. Machines were more than that. We are so complex and dynamically. There's so many things that make us us and be able to get a better understanding of what makes us gives us that ability to control and shift moves things around. So we're more harmonious with all the aspects of our life and when we do that we were just better. We have more clarity. We feel better. We see opportunities. We see you know we avoid situations that are bad because we have the clarity. Don't okay. I don't want to go down that particular path. I'm gonna approach it this way. Which again you know keeps relationships healthier and and there's just so many things when you're in a better state than if you're fatigued and wiped out because then everything else know domino effect and it just make every aspect of your life a lot more difficult than quite frankly you'll be suffering in a.

"Cold calling. Well most people don't. I have learned to enjoy it because i like the process of it. But that doesn't mean that i want to do it every single day but do i still need to have outreach to build new relationships to create a funnel for my business so that i can have enough revenue to support the direction that we want to go. Absolutely if. I don't do that if i don't embrace. That pain regularly inconsistently. My business will suffer from not having enough opportunities from a revenue generation perspective to grow to have our payroll to to expand. So those are the things that i think people need to recognize. This literally applies to everything in life. Everything right to pay attention to. What are the pains between where we are today. And where do we want to be. And how do we start embrace them. I mean there's three really simple steps that we can guide people through. I won't bore you with the details unless we wanna unpack this. But we need to first start by acknowledging the suffering that we wish to avoid. We need to understand that and and some people are like wait. Are minute talking about pain now. You want me to focus on suffer. Yea i do okay. I'm gonna keep this part brief. We again we can unpack it. If we want to but suffering identifying the suffering wish to avoid is actually a separate sides of the same coin. What you really want so when you go through your gold planning you go through your vision. Planning you're going there for reason. If you don't get that or if something were to happen that would take you in a completely wanting to direction that would probably be suffering for you understand that use that as a motivator identify the pains we tend to avoid learn to embrace them. I'll give one quick example on this one because it's my own. I don't have to try that. My biceps microsoft's from my leg. My latin left side of my back is non-existent. i've curbing my spine. I learned that. If i stay active i keep my core strong. My my back strong. I eat the right foods. i keep movement. I- percussive therapy. I stretch. I do all these things. My suffering that the billeting pain that keeps me from wanting to go to bed in the morning can be manageable to a place where i can show up so when i discovered this what to do and when i joined a gym i went consistently for thirty days. Because that's what we do. We want to get healthy right. That's what the world does go join a gym. So i did it. Did it consistently for thirty days. Now i'm gonna stop going. That's where most people would stop. But because i acknowledged the suffering. I wish to avoid which was. I don't want debilitating pain. That's going to prevent me from living the life that i want. I knew i had to take it a step further to ask..

"'cause they were the greatest cancer our culture we can embrace the pain right of recognizing that we might be suffering from burnout and putting the right mechanisms in place embracing the pain talking to somebody learning how to actually modulate our workflow and our energy. So that we don't hit burn out. We can better managing and stress. And all these things to avoid the suffering of remaining stuck feeling like we are able to move forward and operating in a where we just feel truly burned out that suffering burnout his suffering. So when we look at all these concepts we can. We need to understand the pains that are necessary to embrace on our pathway to success working in healthcare. As long as i did i'll use. Chronic wants will switch it to suffering the number of crying diseases that the clinic iran you know dealt with on a daily basis was sat. I mean deeply sad going into the waiting room and seeing people these start recognized because they're in there a lot because they're you know they're suffering with with their things and the majority of those diseases were preventable Because of making different choices going through the pain of eating a little bit smarter and or the pain of figuring out how to buy more foods than convenient in a cardboard box or brown paper bag food choices that too many people make And again it's that quick fix society and i blame them megadeal up for this but you know we don't want pain so we got ease it just like anybody else go. I got a little bit of headache. They immediately go to the painkillers ago. How long have you had it about two minutes. Okay you know it's like don't you don't need to take the pain medication if you've had a a mild headache for two minutes fifty know go outside. Breeds washer face stretch. You know do something. There's all kinds of different mechanisms. You can take so you don't have to deal with that Paying because again if you're having addicts that's your body telling you okay. Something's amiss once she more in tune..

"Thank you for sharing your story. And it's definitely unique and impactful alleged. She said everyone has stories but yours Continues and you took it. Uni went through. I know physio and all of that stuff is not fun it hurts. And that's if you pull a muscle or something like that you had you know your arm removed from you and then put back together. And they're not designed to come off naturally not we don't have a plug button. That would have been nice right exactly. It's kind of like those action figures when we were kids in the arm broke off and we tried to fix it and never quite worked. It looked a little your little deformed it kinda like island of misfit toys scattered thing you know with an of course their parents would never let us flow a super glow so we tried it with. Elmer's glue that didn't work that doesn't matthey housing to say that that's the only thing that really sticks to your hands. It doesn't really worked anything else but but tongue in cheek of course but you went through all that pain. But he didn't by doing that. You got use of your arm and are able to things. You're able to do with today. And he chose the pain instead of the suffering. Because i would not have any problem at all and thing. Most people wouldn't have a problem with per se of saying well. If you decide you know what. I just can't deal with this pain anymore. I'd much rather just not have to deal with all of this physio and all the other things to get done and just go through life you know suffering with you know an arm that would either be not useful or the have remove it And in every day would be a struggle. Because we're like okay. well. I don't have that arm safe to adapt and people do but it's still you know. Every day is suffering through challenges and whatnot and in avoiding pain does invite suffering in many cases. I've seen it time and time again. I think back things that i've done in life that we're we're not easy or difficult to do but the growth from it was worth every moment of going through that you know whether it's relationships making a decision to go into different type of career you're shifting things moving all the things and challenges that i've had in life by leaning into it going okay. Well you know this isn't going to be fun but it needs to be done in my opinion in my assessment of i need to to work through this and deal with this pain in order to come out the other side and be able to do the things that i wanna do. Yeah and the thing is the world tells us to reduce eliminate or avoid pain right. And so it's it's we can talk about this concept. I'll give a couple of examples here in a second. Because i think it's important for people to understand. This really does apply to everything our lives because we hear this narrative again the world tells us reduce eliminator avoid pain which is a natural response to an evolutionary reason for survival right like let's just call it what it is. We don't like pain. It sucks we feel it. It's real time we get lots of attention but let's understand that pain and suffering pain is defined a short term intermittent and direct calls from something and alleviated once that direct causes removed. Then we screwed up with adjectives. Acute and chronic acute maintains the definition but chronic inherently changes it. Because it implies that the pain is no longer short-term it's not intermittent and it persists even after i'd direct causes removed so let's up calling it chronic pain and let's call it what it really is suffering. We don't admit that suffering exists in our lives particularly when the director adulterer choices..

"Walmart's get a one inch paintbrush and as we were heading to our car. Always i was the first one of the car. Because i want to get home and put that paintbrush to use and my mom would rather three or four feet behind me now. This is back in the days where they had key-fobs which one hundred literally ketchup sticky in the door so that we could get on with our way and as we were standing there a truck pulled up in front of the store driver middle passenger got out and the passenger all the way the right felt truck moving backwards so he did any one of us would do my glenys scoot over to put us on a break but instead of gas combination of shock and fourth room up on steering wheel up onto the dashboard. Before you know what. He's catapulting forty miles an hour across the parking lot right at us with no time to react. We are an end spot. Went up over the median up over the tree in the media and hit our car. Knocked me over rain over me. Diagonally tore my spleen left tired truck scar on my stomach and continued on to completely sever my left arm from my body so there i am laying on the parking lot on one hundred fifteen degree day in phoenix arizona. My mom and brother just watched the whole thing happen. They see me on the ground they look up and they see my arm laying ten feet away. Fortunately for me my guardian angel also saw the whole thing happened was a nurse that walked out of the store right when this happens. Saw the literal life and limb scenario in front of her and i am forever indebted for the fact that she made the choice to go into action versus turner. Head and go home. She came over and immediately. Stop the bleeding on the main wound and saved my life and she instructed. Some innocent bystanders to run inside. Grab a cooler and get my arm on ice within minutes. Had she not done one or both of those things michael. I wouldn't be here with you today..

Thinks, they could be better. How do they start a relationship with you? Yeah good question. So I think there's a lot of different ways and it depends on what scale they want to reach There's a lot of free content that goes out there so I put out a lot of free content because I want to impact a billion lives and I know damn well that there's not a billion people that are going to compensate me. That's why you see a lot more of us kind of going to this but I mean West anything you want to add to that before we make a transition where we guys were our listeners can find Brian and whatnot. I. Stare Down Gulls to Avoid Lunch Loss
"This is scientific. Americans sixty seconds sites. I'm christopher dodd yata. No trip to the beach would be complete without a swarm of hungry goals but don't get distracted because one of those goals may soon go after your food. There's a very small proportion russian of extremely bold individuals that seem to ruin the reputation of the whole species notre bogert animal behavior researcher at the university of exeter. She studied the food snatching habits of goals in seaside towns in the southern u._k. And she found that very few only the boldest would actually take the bait or make that the the bite the experiment went like this a researcher crouch near goal and then sat out a plastic bag of french fries for those brave goals that then started to approach. The researcher either stared straight at the goal as in i._c._u. Thief or the researchers simply looked away and it turns out staring down the gulls made them hesitate twenty one seconds on average bridge before approaching the fries. The results are in the journal biology. Letters and goals aren't the only ones who behave better when being watched a two thousand six study found that people paid three times as much for their drinks at an unintended honor system coffee bar when just an image of staring eyes was displayed nearby as for the gulls gobert points out that we need to learn to live with them because the particular species she studied the herring gull is on the u._k.'s red list of birds of conservation concern. The thing is people. Don't want to have a seaside holiday without goals there so it's just finding ways to harmoniously live with one of the only wildlife species we still have around in these coastal areas so don't turn back on the goals she says both figuratively for conserving the species and of course literally for conserving. Thanks for listening for scientific american sixty seconds science. I'm christopher dodd yada.
