"A little warmer than it has been last couple of mornings and I drove through a couple of sprinkles time you senior rain on the way in. yeah little bit. I radar showing nothing I mean if you look at the statewide radar there's so much in music just across the border in the state up north just east of Toledo out over Lake Erie but nothing in central Ohio I mean I didn't have to turn on the wipers. but still a few raindrops hit the windshield so will some some out there this morning again little warmer than we've seen forecast powered by the basement Dr downtown German village area sixty seven sixty six is what we have your severe weather station newsradio six ten WTVN radio six ten WTVN sport because today's the day for Marty Brennaman I mean forty six years doing the deal and it's just so fun you know at all the people are talking about remembering all the audio clips I mean you know Pete rose in the World Series asa it's just fun for me not only to hear the calls yeah but the odd that the changes in audio I mean we are so accustomed al everything being so pristine I mean we've got audio right with us in our phones you can pull up clips and video and all that stuff portability you know people have those extra speakers you know the blue to stuff you plug in and get that nice fat sound some of that stuff is pretty thin yeah back in the day but Hey still good star some video that mean that there something. enjoyable to hear like old clips like that. I don't know bracing back to my house it's almost like it's to clear now would. but I like the tinny sound because it reminds me of when I was younger but yeah the I'm sure it's going to be a difficult day for Marty but one that I think you know we talked on the other day and he's totally at peace with this decision. what do you say are I can remember the number baseball games he said somebody told me that he's done he said I've seen it off he sees that evil acts chapter I mean I think most people. you know like my folks I talk my my my dad was a computer programmer my mom was in our end and all that in in the just get to a point where like I I think I think I'm good I'm good yeah you know I don't know yeah I would think on some level especially guys it seems where their career kinda defines them I mean this is this is not only what you do it's but it's who you are right in a more is going to be that forever I mean he's gonna be a hall of fame broadcaster period I mean throughout eternity at this point but you just so yeah when I when I got nothing left to say yeah it's almost resent V. last night on the radio broadcast Bobby euchre who lot of people now own member especially from the major league movies. bites I he's been broadcasting Milwaukee Brewers games for forty nine years but he sat in the broadcast booth with Marty and Tom brought him in for anything and the Reds. we did out the whole like nine minutes and it's pretty funny if you have a chance and then it's yeah it's it's funny too because it. you hear the audio and on the tweet you see what was going on but remember it was on radio they were like barely big it's a day. talk for a couple minutes and then Marty said count as two into one so it's our light to me it was really good to me that's when radio baseball is at its best yeah because there's a lot of baseball you just kinda need to know a little bit about where we're at you don't need people painting the picture in this guy's a Justin this Cup in that guy's spitting in the dirt and the fans are doing you don't need that is just a quick K. were too into above about back to the thing that's what made Marty so great yeah he's such a great storyteller and if you just could calm yourself down enough to listen you could get into I mean that's why I was somewhere somebody ran like best of the banana phone for me not being a huge baseball fan the banana phone killed me the banana phone for those that don't know is when they had a rain delay Marty of Joe would take phone calls yeah they just made him stay on it's like we don't have anything to do so we're just going to go to the phone they call that threw the banana phone and some of the calls I just. my goodness what how they dealt with it you know it reminds me of back in the day on this station Saturday morning open phones I mean that's part of the charm in the mystique and why Bob Connors will always be the morning monarch was how he knew how to let people run yes and they knew how to pull in short and kind of control it but let the fun happen and you know what I mean just all the stuff the cat lady everything that happened pancake breakfasts just all the insanity of stuff that people called that is what it's about when you can just let people be people and do the do all my gosh yeah it's impossible to beat that's as good as it gets yeah exactly right Marty got to do all that I mean on some level I mean I'm no idea what kind of living the guy made you would assume hall of Famers doing okay and I think he did fine but I'm sure it's it's the old thing when you love what you do you never go to work a day in your life yeah I'm sure I mean the the seasons were the Reds aren't that good it was more of a child of yeah but I mean a lot of times he just had to be having a blast doing what he loved and plus he had opportunities I mean he said before that he had opportunities to leave Cincinnati just didn't want to sure he loved it dates and stuff quality of life and happiness were more important than maybe going somewhere else for more money so he always stated Cincinnati by was there for forty six years it's funny speaking of that al Michaels now you know yeah what a broadcaster pretty good pretty good because he was in Cincinnati for three years with Joe Nuxhall pre ceding Marty and then he laughed and Marty took the job and he posted video last night congratulate Marty on his career awesome and he said he said and I left after three years to go to San Francisco where I was play by play man for the giants when they were the worst team in Major League Baseball. when I was doing their games and you stepped in and sat down for the big red machine for for one of the best teams in baseball history yeah. funny how that worked out well and I was like this is the just wanted to say again eight the that experience made al Michaels who he is an arguable that it helped them and the same thing for Marty I mean it just it worked out great for both of you did so cool so so cool so. ever be able to replace Marty you know yeah they won't know they'll be somebody do the job but it won't be anything like what Marty did. I've said it before if you're a baseball fan in Ohio if you're really fortunate because Tom Hamilton is. a legend in Cleveland and does a great job and it and Marty Brennaman obviously is nominees all favor so too great broadcasters in my opinion yeah I got a chance to work with Hamilton yeah back in the day when he was in town yeah and I'm just a dumb kid in college you know working part time and all that stuff but even then you're like wow this guy's really good with that what made them both goodies they love their team and yes their homers you know bought they'll also when things are going well or somebody's not play well or their mistakes I mean they don't call amount you have to yeah they do so that's to me what made them so good so three is they love their team and they were they everybody identifies over the because you love your team but one you know Carlos Santana last night I didn't hear Tom Haviland broadcast but froze makes a throw to home plate from first base that's five feet over the catcher's head I'm sure is like. yeah the disgust in his voice came out alive then runs the score so thank you but anyway that's what made Marty great and makes Tom Aveling great and today's going to be Fox Sports Ohio is bagging their normal broadcast and they're just running Marty's broadcast today on TV of course it's gonna be on the radio very cool so yeah it's his moment and let him enjoy it amen so final game planning practice today for the Buckeyes they'll travel Lincoln tomorrow and then play Nebraska in prime time Saturday night Huskers with an explosive offense led by quarterback Adrian Martinez and all the Jackson record podcasts or stand Jackson says this will be a test for that part ID fat on the urban Meyer era the types of teams that hurt Ohio state's defense was spread teams with an athletic mobile quarterback that had scant receivers that were fast so I think this is a good opportunity for us to find out whether that we fix that issue and so I'm curious to see how we play against major Martinez in his office because they are very explosive yet nearly four hundred fifty total yards of offense last week against Illinois he gas Jackson the core our podcast pages extend WTVM dot com powered by Jermaine Toyota joint is so light box line six the age at the buffalo wild wings on Bethel road football night Philadelphia's at Green Bay in the Thursday night game baseball eighties playoff hopes took a massive hit they get beat by the white Sox eight to three while the other wild card contenders Oakland in Tampa both one tribe shortstop Francisco indoors all we were given execute it when we had to up I didn't intend to get better no they don't seem to get better this is a tough loss.

"Jay flash. Ner says I I start Kurt Warner and Peyton Manning should replace Jason Witten. But then the name Steve Young popped into my mind. I like Kurt Warner Westwood One would vote for any of those three I'm fine with Steve Young. I think when we did this the last go round we actually did mention Steve Young. I'd be on board for Steve Young. I think he's great at what he does when they have them on ESPN as that. Monday night football field analyst type stuff before. And after the games you wanna put them in the booth. Yeah. That's a big enough. Name. You are better analysts that may be necessarily aren't big enough names that you could hire. Like, I said Nate Bertelson, Dan our philosophy. But if you want a big name. Yeah, you go Steve Young. I think it'd be good at it. Kurt Warner be great at it. And he's a big enough name all Famer pay demanding would be most executives dreams. But the question is this pay demanding wants to do it. We shall see. But. ESPN's back in the situation where the find a new color analyst for Monday night football last time Gruden left to join the raiders they came up with the trifecta of Jason Witten booger McFarland and Joe tested tour. I don't think they'll keep it as burger and test a tour only at the imagine they would expand to another person probably keep booger on the sidelines. I think Boettger was the best person that grew. But maybe they revamped the entire crew. Maybe they say, we got it wrong. Last time. Let's go new play by play guy. Let's go new color analysts and get rid of the whole booger. Mcbeal mcbeal vehicle and do all that with the crane. Maybe maybe you get rid of that. But the mobile and all that it was it was just put a guy in a booth have a sideline reporter, you don't need to make it anything. Else? Crazy have a sideline reporter have someone in a booth and have a play by play guy. We really don't over think these things, but people constantly over think these things, and they try to come up with these new innovative ideas and all that and it ends up being awkward. It was at that the fine. Rolls broadcast. It's not reinventing the wheel. It's not something crazy. And most of the times you have a good game. I really don't care about the announcers now, I like it when we have great announcers. But for the people that all about Putin until Monday night football game because of the trio that they've put in the booth last year, come on stop it. Tell me if your team's playing you're going to say or not going to tune in now. Tune in because they don't like the announcers, please. For games that good. You've rarely even noticed the announcers anyway. Let's go to Travis in Sacramento next up. Was that Galvin CBS sports radio? Travis. What's happening? Hey, what's happened is actually doing doing great? What you got for me? Not much. You're just mentioning about Antonio Brown. And what teams and hypothetically, I I I've had some you know, some teams in mind, I'm a raiders fan. And so I I'm, you know, part of the little groups, and I just see so many split raider fans that other one and then don't, and you know, so really for me, I could care less Figo's of the raiders or not. But I thought that two teams came to mind and really one was the Broncos basically just because the Mary Thomas and the situation he's in Portland Sutton's, a rookie who better to learn from than you know, somebody like. Maybe. A team. I was thinking that came to mind was for some reason the Seattle Seahawks just with Russell Wilson. And you know, Doug, Baldwin really didn't out a lot of value this year, you know, being on the field. And so I just wanted to throw those couple teams out there, and I know the Browns him and then who was an Antonio Calloway. You know, they're boys they trained together off season. And it's really unlikely that Antonio Brown goes to the to the Browns. But you know, I guess I got some different, you know, teams in mind other than the three that they're talking about with them. You can take my call off the air. And. Yeah, man. Thanks great show. First time caller too, by the way. So well, thank you for listening. Travis and actually like the suggestion of the Broncos night the check what salary cap works. What does it with what room they have available? But for the Broncos, it would make sense because you bring in Joe flacco that was not a popular move goes the horrible. But I don't think it's that much of an upgrade over case keenum. It's a slight upgrade. But if you're trying to revamp this team and get this team back to the postseason. Hey, go at a player like Antonio Brown. Helps out flacco you, and you and you trust that your defense is good enough. As you know, what that defense is capable of with von Miller and Chubb leading the way, and you take a look at the picks they have from the Mary Thomas trade they have two fourth round picks now and they have to fifth round picks. So I don't think you're going to give up a one to get in Tonio Brown Ma-maybe could set some package up. You know, maybe you give a three and a four maybe give a two and a five something like that. And you get the Steelers to to pull the trigger on that. But we'll see what happens because with the Steelers they could they're going to have to trade him. We know that and they could sit there and tell you, oh, you know, Steelers team or we're not gonna we're not gonna take a deal. Just make you have to you have to venture make a deal. And you're not going to get back a first round pick. So you wonder it's not a question of if it's when you get to get traded, and how long this thing is going to linger on out and turned to the Seahawks. You know? I don't know they go that route. Befuddled to watch. Russell Wilson Antonio Brown play. But they recently. Dot rid of a lot of the outspoken type suppliers who won a Super Bowl, and who was really good and really good. Sherman was great there for a bunch of years. Michael Bennett was very good there for a long time. That's a team. I don't know. How aggressive they're going to be with the year. They they recently had aggressive. They will be a very good year. When people didn't expect it. I dunno aggressive. They would be I would not hate that the Broncos. They should be aggressive. You go make Joe flacco that does not address your quarterback for the future either. Go be aggressive and. Yeah. AB to the Broncos would make sense. But you know, he's not gonna get traded to the pats. You know, he's not gonna get traded to the Browns. He's not gonna get traded to the ravens, and I could change the Bengals they won't trade them inside a division. They won't trade him to the patriots. Now. The patriots called grit offer. Something to think about but I don't think there's still are going to trade him anywhere in the north were to the New England Patriots. See what happens though, but not a bad suggestion with the Broncos Ronnie and Texas next up on CBS sports radio. Ronnie what you got for me. Zack. So I'm gonna throw a hypothetical at you. Cowboys. Dumb. How found the cap space to fill up? All we need to become the most complete team the NFL. Go ahead and drop tank dumb. How swing 'Antonio Brown and grab. Landon Collins and grab Earl Thomas on the cheap coming up injury. What do you think? At that point. Ronnie, why don't we get a Jerry Rice out of retirement and have them lined up for the Cowboys to let's get Emmett Smith, and Michael Irving is. Well, what are you gonna name every week? Available this year, right? You should go for it. You have an offensive line that hopefully the health gets back, but they're good enough. If they were not great last year. You have a great running back your quarterback. I don't love. I think they could win games with that quarterback. And Dak Prescott. The defense was better than anyone could expect until they played the Rams in the playoffs as Anderson abuse yet. But yeah, if you're the Cowboys are team yet the pounds now when you're coach is not guaranteed to come back next year. You had to be as aggressive as possible. I was reading that. Earl Thomas in the clearly wants to go to the Cowboys. But he wants to go somewhere. He's going to get paid. And he's going to go to the highest bidder. From what I was reading. We'll that'd be the Cowboys. We shall see. But yeah. That's a typical Cowboys fan calling up. I like to poke fun and has some fun with the band two that we have our great cowboy listeners are listening to us on the fan in Dallas. But come on. Well, let's let's get Landon Collins. Let's get Thomas also trade for Antonio Brown. Call it the patriots who at that point. Trade a first round pick and Dak Prescott for Tom Brady. Let's call Joe Thomas out of retirement to. Let's let let's get him on the offensive line. You know, what I think the team is light on wide receiver too. So get a B N and Odell Beckham. And. He's a defensive lineman. Go trade for von Miller too. If you want to call it up with the one suggestion that listen to him, but you start naming three or four players. Let's get this person this person that person. That's when you know that you manage your fantasy football team. Having heard from Quigley in New Mexico in a while quickly. What's happening you good evening? What you got your pencil be kind of off the wall. Monday night football analysts. What about somebody? I'm not saying this person, but somebody like Bob there has humor that. Monday night or even somebody like Dante done something like that. I mean, I think I know Bob euchre's baseball. But he'd be a riot, you know, on Monday night football, but somebody like him. Yeah. Let's get out and Sandler there as well. Let's get Mike. Let's get out of in the booth to come on. Jeez. Some of the suggestions, we can't. Man, throw those shows February show. So, you know, it's a February show. Let's put whoever in the booth. It doesn't matter. Ever Bobby euchre? Gestion? Let's take a time out. We'll regroup when we come back. We'll touch on a little combine them also get into two very bad quarterbacks. That's still surface in the news. It's executive show on CBS sports radio..

And just stepped out of bounds for some reason when he could have won a game similarly where he's just running around the field after grabbing pitches you've seen you've seen lateral game. Yeah. It just doesn't. It's embarrassing thing that usually ends up happening to the Browns. Right. It usually ends up happening to the dolphins doesn't happen. A Bill Belichick and Tom Brady and rob gronkowski. Why did the thought, hey, let's go to throw a seventy pets. Okay. I wasn't on all over it. He was on that one. But then I write the cephlon than it had to be explained. Well, he's in there to knock down the past. And no one's like in there saying, but it seventy yards. He's gonna do that. Obviously throw both seventy. I think the most recent big dolphins play was the Camry. Oh touchdown camarilla touchdown to win against the winless season to make them one in fifteen. The the big win against the raven. Ain't that perfect. So everyone's talking about that does that that was Philbin filming or camera. No. That was Pam camera Cam. Yeah. Cam cameron. Here's the patriots. Call which there's one moment in this. Who's a color guy? I think Zolak Olex Zolak. There's one one part of this call. That's just my absolute favorite when they realize. Everything's going wrong. What he sees in front of a field of defensive backs honking tight end. He stands the fifty Dan. He'll throws down the middle caught by stills laterals that two Butler rather Parker who to Drake he wanted to cross the alien such thirty. I think I think we can pinpoint exactly when it strikes Scott Zolak that they're going to lose to the dolphins on the last play of the game because rob gronkowski has fallen down. Fifty tannehill throws down the middle caught by stills laterals to Butler, rather Parker who to trae. He wants across ailing thirty. Isolate that oh Jesus because it's you trying to get the keys into your car door as a killer approaches from behind you in a dark parking lot. Courtesy of ninety eight point five the sports. The dawning realization on Scott Zolak. Twenty yards from what ended up being inevitable, rob gronkowski trips. An arm falling on the field. A lug nut falling spinning toward the sideline. Twenty-five those two Kohl's. I mean, it's everyone's jumping on those guys. I can't tell what's going on. How can you really describe a nice touch down like that? That has multiple laterals rob gronkowski in the secondary. For some reason. There's a lot going on and kidney trick is very fast..

"He's extremely excited for something that that I wasn't really paying attention to even with the red zone that late in and this is a game that doesn't even matter. This is the Tampa Bay Cincinnati game is a game that does not even on your radar unless you're there. Calls up, and he goes, they just they just tie. They're gonna get it two point conversion which they did they then lost the game on a field goal. That was the only right. That was the only exciting early game finish in early games. Tight when and I watch I kept peeking in on that for some reason. I don't know why. Because I because James wisdom was such a dog. Dog that go. What what are they supposed to now? And so yes, only I and Cincinnati is just the most difficulty you're out because now Cincinnati leading division know that that'll Pittsburgh Pittsburgh. One since he's five and three Pittsburgh is back darn ties. Miss everything else. Let me get to the World Series. The World Series is now over we opened the show. We talked a lot about the World Series. That's a really really good team. This is exactly how I felt about the cubs. When the cubs won. And really really good team. The cubs have not gotten back to the World Series in the last two years. They've been playoff teams. But they haven't gotten back when you look at the Red Sox. What do you see great? It's so good. Great team young stars in in most cases, the cups. That's the cups. I mean, those those two teams have been flirting with this. Yep. Houston and they've won. And they got young stars. That's right and those three plus and the the Yankees have some young stars and establish stars pitching problems, relatively speaking. Solve the one off season. When you're either one of those three because you've got money you've got payroll, you got resource. Yes. Yes. So you can go out and buy some pitching can the dodgers. They have money and the dodgers. They have those teams are just sort of. They've been they've been, you know, buzzing around each one of them, obviously reciting Yankees always doing the Astros and have been doing it for three or four years now. So you know, this the series of sort of anti-matter unless you are rooting for to see a great team. The Red Sox are that or your risk SOX fan? But I checked the Kelleher last night. The sixth inning and the dodgers aren't even score. Again. David price was data praise. The World Series MVP. No, see peers, peer. That's ridiculous east coast bias. That's ridiculous David price who was a punching bag one two and five fatal prices. Bobby euchre? He wasn't intentionally fund up. Yeah. It is. He's great come on. That's that's that's crap. The big story going into. I mean, eight continuing storyline throughout the Red Sox playoff on run. Was I can't believe they're rolling David price. This this guy Cora knows his team. Boy, does he he pushed all the right? Didn't you constantly? He was even when he didn't hear it like about Cora. Even when he didn't. He it worked. He comes out and says guys build that was a bad move, managers and coaches don't do that anymore. They don't take accountability for anything. He was real football in football. They they never once a season in the whole country. The college football coach say, yeah, I got that wrong. They don't do it. And so I so impressed the court did that the one time where you maybe could second guess a move, but it worked anyway, he voluntarily said that that wasn't agreeable. Every move was the right move. I didn't watch. I watched. Sleep in the fifteenth. Oh, yeah. 'cause I had a eleven AM kickoff. You know, an be the tailgated eight thirty. So I was not gonna stay up until three thirty and watch that game. Although I stayed with until the fifteenth inning. But I didn't watch all that much. It wasn't what I had a couple of moments. You know, we it net three run bomb, but wasn't I don't know it just it. They're great team..

"Against Clayton Kershaw in game five the dodgers stadium. Can they get some twice in one series? I celebrate massacre. Use the game live Dodger Stadium stadiums starting at two seven game pivotal game. I like that word to to best the seven the team that wins gained three as a leg up on winning the series. Let's hope it's the Milwaukee Brewers. They they've had a couple of chances in the games. They lost good chances. Let those slip away. So lots on the line lots at stake at Shabazz ravine Dodger Stadium a little bit later today. You can you can hear all of that coverage. Greg Matsick, Bobby euchre, Jeff levering? Polly. We got the best lineup in sports WTMJ. All right. Thanks, all the folks who wait on the referendum thing as I said, I'm going to revisit that. There's a couple of different ways you can look at that. As we get closer to number six. I think it's important that we all understand what's at stake it because it is a tool now that school districts are leaning heavily on to get additional buildings staffing. And in many cases, I think personal opinion here it's a little bit over the top and a little bit unnecessary. But you may disagree and has the texture said voters can decide ultimate right of a residence in school district. So he he is correct on that point. I wanted to read a little bit from a piece I read in the Washington Post. I always sample the opinion pieces going to get a flavor. In a sense of what Americans are thinking about the issues and this one has to do with. I've had this team built on my show for at least the last six months civility in politics communicating effectively with each other. And I've I've told you on the air. There are people that I have less friendly relationships now because of one what I do to what I say. And I think I try to be as fair and balanced as I can and coming from a conservative viewpoint, of course, and offer time to Democrats if they don't take it up, not really my fault. But we we do that with Tammy Baldwin. And others. So the offer still stands as she or any of the other democratic candidate to come on happy to have the civil honest conversation. Civil and honest about the issues that you talk about and the substance of your campaigns. So in the world of politics, we see that side of it. We see the candidates the parties. The politicians elected officials at whatever level you're talking about dominating the narrative, telling us, unfiltered, as in the case of Donald Trump or filtered the words and policies of Donald Trump filtered through the eyes of a CNN or MSNBC era FOX, and that's the reality of the world. We live in a great piece in the wa in the Washington Post. And it's it's titled, and I wanna get your thoughts on this. We're staying silence out of fear. I'm Marie I'm not gonna be the whole thing. But part of it only among trusted family and friends was a possible speaks speak one's mind. If even that was not guaranteed. He's talking about life in eastern Europe and the Soviet Union all aspects of totalitarian life citizens. The former eastern bloc say this is the hardest to explain those those who grew up in the democratic west until now perhaps a new study of political attitudes in the United States offer stunning evidence that most American censor themselves except long people. They regard as like minded on a bundle of sensitive topics immigration and immigrants race and racism, gay, lesbian, gender issues and Islam and Muslims. Reports called more in common. And it is set up to understand potentially. He'll political polarization the United States in Europe is based on a nationwide survey of nearly eight thousand people and the numbers were gathered in December and January and the last year beginning of this year. And it found that between fifty one percent and sixty six percent two-thirds agree. There's pressure to think a certain way about each of the aforementioned topics with immigration seen is the least sensitive and Islam the most sixty eight percent reported that's acceptable for me to express what I think about race or Islam only among people who are like me on immigration. Seventy three percent felt that way. On gay lesbian and transgender issues. The figure is seventy percent. Again, reading back from the story political freedom has never been absolute in the United States to be sure for much of that most of our history ostracism or worse awaited advocates racial equality, especially in the south. If anyone understands the oppressiveness of being forced to present a false front every day. If the American gay men lesbians who grew up in the area of the closets. Conversely, a certain measure of self censorship is necessarily democracy to these people refrained from gratuitously broadcasting bigotry. It promotes trust rational discourse. So what do they fear not necessarily government repression, but ridicule and harassment from their fellow citizens, which is often magnified, and this is the key point here. My words by social media. Sometimes the trouble at school or work large majorities of the public eighty percent or more see both hate speech and political correctness as problems plaguing American politics. In the United States Senate, right and left wing. Tribes? Progressive activists loaded conservatives enforce core beliefs within our own ranks. A quarter to a third of Americans feel pressure to think a certain way of controversial issues, even among people like themselves. What do you think? Think about your own circumstances. We've all probably been party or neighborhood gathering or even a work of ants. Although work is a little little more filtered because there's certain things you can't talk about at work. But does it give you pause? When a subject comes up, politics or gender issues or even the metoo movement. So that it's safer. I think this is what the studies showing to not put yourself out there. I'll give you a specific example as a conservative radio host. I often share stories that I read things I'm building a future segment of the show on on social media specifically Twitter. You can find me at WTMJ, Steve if you're interested. And then I'll hear from liberals friends of mine saying how dare you share that story. And I've often thought about doing what some people do on social media. Putting a reach tweet does not necessarily constant endorsement, but really do I have to. It's an interesting time because we're all opinionated. We all have ideas about things and some of the issues I talked about in that piece in the Washington Post. Immigration, immigrants racism. I'm gonna close the show a little bit on the the high school decision to not staged the play. And that's really what that is. They can filter it the way they want. But that's what it is. But do you censor yourself or one four seven nine nine one six one the mortgage, talk and text line? What do you think are you? Are you limiting your conversation based on what you think the reception to your comments might be. And does that ultimately dumbed down our conversation? It comes to politics or any of the issues of the day. I'll take your calls and texts next forty two degrees at Radio City. Of course, we're all gearing up for the big brewers game this afternoon game five brewers dodgers from Los Angeles. As I said, I'll take your calls and texts next radio WTMJ, just because the pack is our office reading doesn't.

A team wholesome and check yesterday, and that seems to be a bad bad sign the next day for for the other team because he's he's come out. Days like that. And even today before the game, you just there was some there was an intent that the good things going to happen. Craig counsel didn't even know Christian yelich hit hit for the cycle against the same team for the second time in a month. No baseball player has ever done that and yellow she's only the fifth player ever to hit for multiple cycles in the same season. Wow. So rarefied air at their for the brewers outfielder. And they are still obviously right there in the thick of the playoff race. But mentioned there two and a half by the cubs. But in the wildcard they've got the three game lead over the cardinals right now. So same division the central that. It's a half game back to the Colorado Rockies who really got a few days left, and it sucks that some of these are going to be left out. But I love the fight all the way down to the bitter end the great Bobby euchre on the brewers radio network. It's after hours with Amy Lawrence on CBS sports radio. Thanks for voting in our touchdown Tuesday. Paul and some of you are sending me tweets or Facebook post to let me know that you have a different suggestion but find that on Twitter a radio or on our face. Book page, and we're asking you which two teams will slip and not make the playoffs or most likely. I guess we can't possibly predict the future. So I'm a spoke, which are most likely in your opinion to not make the playoffs. And then which oh in two teams. You think have a good chance to rally and find themselves in the postseason. Let's see we've got Bernard on Twitter who says the bucks are going to fail and a tough NFC sow the saints will be defending champs if not very once in a lifetime late game score that I still can't wrap my mind around. Defending champs of what exactly defending champs of the NFC? Are you assuming that they would have beaten the Philadelphia Eagles? I think that's a kind of a jump. Or are you saying defending champs overall that would be a massive jump? But I like your creativity. Steve says Miami because the curse of Dan Marino. No, I don't believe in the curse of the Billy goat or the curse of Babe Ruth. I don't believe in any of that. I do not believe in curses. But Steve does he says Jimmy Johnson threw him away like bathwater? Let's see Brendon says abo wrong. Seattle has the hardest to overcome. I think he means the hardest. Oh and two start Rams only going to lose four games this year. Forty Niners are going to beat Seattle at least once so I don't see it with that old line. Wait till they play the Rams D line. Shane says what about the hawks going against the Cowboys next week? Yeah. Certainly doesn't get any easier. I like the fact that they've got the talent on the line. They're just not playing leg at this present time Aaron says to not most likely to not get in Miami. And then he says he'd like to add Denver and Tampa to the list. So he's got three two teams and he thinks will not make the postseason than oh into Houston. And also wants to throw the Steelers and it oh one and one although the Steelers fan, I can confidently say he's a Steelers fan because that's what he's wearing in his avatar doesn't have a name. But the Steelers fan says play offs. I just like to win a game..

It's worked in the outfield you can these guys around, and almost have a fresh guy. In there you know almost every day and that he's. Fans that, that think you know we. Don't need this guy we don't need that guy I don't understand some of their thinking. To be, having, good at bats against them You know I mean. I think the feeling that you come back against the guy you know that That's Success against the. Guy the dugout knows that dugout feels that that's part of. It I'd say for maybe two inches was really yeah junior. Was outstanding the only too hard hit balls of the night You know going through the lineup You know a. Bunch was, where the home runs I mean that was. "Wisconsin sports weakened rolling on here on wtmj were less than ten minutes out from our coverage of the brewers and the cardinals a win today from a walkie and they guarantee a series win over saint louis and i've been saying this all year long and i look i know i know about the cardinals i know the history between the two teams i know the cardinals always find ways to win games and always find ways to sneak into the postseason and all that i don't think this is a very good saint louis team i just i don't think they're very good from a talent standpoint from the way the team is ron like there's a lot of things going on i just don't think they're especially good team and i think when you compare the cardinals to the brewers and the cubs for that matter to me there's there's obviously the two best teams in the division that are the brewers in the cubs and we can argue all we want about which one of those two teams is better than the other they're they're pretty evenly matched up the brewers and cubs are and i think there's i think there's some space between those two teams and then we're the cardinals fall and then i think there's more space between the cardinals and the pirates and the pirates and the reds i think there's very clearly there's not a whole lot of bunching up going on inside of this division you have the two best teams and then you have a clear number three a clear number four and i think clear number five so it doesn't shock me it doesn't surprise me what's going on so far with the brewers taking these first two games against saint louis and i think they should continue to have a fair amount of success against this cardinals team that doesn't mean that for sure winning today doesn't mean there for sure winning the series anything like that i just think that they are clearly a better club than the saint louis team brad miller is is in starting lineup today for the brewers making his milwaukee debut first time he ever stepped foot in miller park when he got to the ballpark today's played his entire career in the american league and even interleague play has never played in milwaukee the other places he's never played pittsburgh or chicago wrigley field specifically for chicago he's played with whatever they're calling what guaranteed rate field whatever the white sox are calling their ballpark now but brad miller is in lineup today we'll see what he does he'll play second base that means they're non parades is going to be at shortstop this was telegraphed recently after brad miller was signed all of a sudden we saw nonprice starting to play some more shortstop so it didn't take a rocket scientist to kind of figure out that the what they were thinking was millard second and peres at shortstop now craig counsel did say miller is going to play a little bit of shortstop he did play shortstop at triple a he can play first base you can throw him in the outfield if you need to so he is it's funny he spent his entire career in the american league because he really profiles out as a nationally guy where you can double switch him in and out and so forth and move them all around so it's good thing jason anderson gets start today another big start for chase as hopefully we start to see him really round into form and turn and turn back into that guy that he was for the year and a half leading into the season coverage of the brewers and cardinals bobby euchre and jeff levering begins in about five minutes but first let's head to the wtmj breaking news center and get a news update with eric bill sat thank you sir glendale police officer should be okay after the suspect in a stolen vehicle hit that officer during a high speed police chase this happened overnight started in whitefish bay the outsor was hitting your silver spring and port washington.
