It's it like I smoked cigarettes for like since I was eleven Kevin No way and then I quit when I was twenty five okay and then yeah I was off it and then last year fucking Schweik my video camera guy who just had the Julian music as a rally. GotTa try it is inside the jewel and then my fucking life was over your Donovan once I mean it's a it's weird. It's a weirdly like slippery slope because it is a everyone has them. They're around all the time man is doing and then you by one and then you start ripping when you're like just home alone and did a shadow soon yeah by the way what's up guys. We're starting hi How's it going don't matter house behind the camera at College fucking first day version? We've been a fire him. So whatever anyway yes you'll see the joe make you feel like shit because it came like crazy anxiety in amid my like long's field shitty yeah I mean it would make me cough and shit but as a person who smokes cigarettes for like almost twelve years even pair to a cigarette personally so I was like ripping the jewel perform in front of the twenty thousand people like hotcakes he was like easy. It was fun. Subtle flex sounds about the same yeah so it's not like when I do cardio and she ate or any of that it wasn't I don't know it was totally it was fine but I just know it was bad and I was also getting this cough and shit and I just needed to let it go. Oh Yeah Yeah right kicked it. I'm two days in two days sooner. That's no. Hey I have have faith. I'm not saying that's two days. That's great well. This is Dick of Dick for ruling and I'm proud proud. I feel like I'm just recording episode with two cody's now with quitting the jewel onto days then I've had this conversation so many times times now. I'm like a year a year off of it now. Yeah macaroni sounds now. It's fine. They love that all right what sorry I'm just want to. We should probably intro what's going on here. What's up everybody? the man himself was so kind to let us in his place. This blessed the podcast. Thank you for joining the show. Thank you man. Thank you guys for allowing me to be here of logic Bob Yeah those it was. We can't see just the audio to audio. Thank you so much for allowing me to be today yeah fucking weird fine. No I soon as I saw it so I like. I've found out about you. Guys like a couple months ago and I was in New York and I was binge-watching. You're shit thanks to Silas artists who had just signed and I just couldn't get over it. Sugar Gay yeah it was incredible and what was even more insane is how upset he was is about being called sugar gay and then goes on to say like the most gay stuff not that there's anything wrong with that but I just thought it was great and how you guys handle handle. It is good. We're we're talking about this a little bit yesterday 'cause like He. He now knows about the video really bro but he doesn't get oh he does like a bit that it's a joke yeah really really seriously and he like are sometimes our fans will go up to him and say it and he'll get really mad and he'll be like that's that's homophobic. How are you calling somebody homophobic when you were like saying all this like homophobic shit in the video because I think he's like taking a hard one eighty yeah? This is the only way I can understand that for two years of my life everywhere. I went by racial jokes. Yeah okay you go with it. It doesn't matter matter like it's a fucking joke so I get it. I don't know I think it's funny. Though I think you guys are pretty hilarious especially now 'cause I mean I definitely think that everything you you guys have taste and you know what you say and I think with any great writer or comedian you don't you don't create jokes and and and and kind of do them at the expense of someone like they're. They're like to hurt someone right. I love it because I think you guys are hilarious tough skin tough skin. It's like sugar gala. Ah Yeah you guys are no way or going in on non community of people now know exactly thank you man. We appreciate that yes. We try to do do man trying to make you say everybody can have fun. Even if it's like at your expense is still not like designed to make you feel like you're a bad person or like you go home feeling like shit like feel bill. Yeah like Chapelle makes fun of everybody including his own people black people. It's like if you can if you can make fun of everybody in essentially allow all of us to laugh at each other kind of takes the power away of all the negative shit that's going on in the world personally I feel it's just at the same time it's like. It's not that deep. Everybody wants to be pissed off so tells it feels that way man feels like you know. Everybody's spark plant and do a little something. That's like read real deep shit. Did you say sparked Flint's Hatano. What does that mean like like? I know but like what is that phrase. No IT'S NOT I. I just feel like everyone tries to take some small and make a big like I'm GonNa put that on merchandise. Yeah Start Flint Flint baby steal it. I like that is that's fine. Sugar all suit against the podcast Nice is do I got the I got the thug compliment Matt right there. I used to get that in high school all the time. What might the Mexicans and stuff you'd be able you got nice and they're talking about jumping in to make up for it? I'm like is that's fine. You can true I could say their great great great so how's it going eating oatmeal arena do much worse. Yes much worse on the podcasts. You don't even want to know what we've been. We've done a Taco Bell Shit mid podcast. It's all edit your videos done so great. Oh I mean usually the that's crunch the he he cuts them yeah just you know standard editing just like takes forever orbital veto be certain little just it's like the most minute amount of pull in freeze frame for a second but it's like the it's the comedic timing's really great yeah well yeah. We're not funny so I have to make because one of the editing and just said you know the punch on the face. That's an easy I think it's great. I loved the the one about the I still got a dive into all of them because African binged like age three Ethan Nealon on that and I just became such huge fans of theirs and podcast too right. I was yeah that was amazing. They're really really sweet and I haven't talked to him and watch probably text them because I know they had their little teddy little dog their little baby. Whatever that is but yeah so there was a void I was I was devoid of of Great? What does it forward thinking comedic power and then I got this yeah I got this? I saw this video and now now now we're here but how about those Christian chicks yeah dude not that I'm going in Christianity. You have to plug that obviously no satanic religion by the way up with that and I'll man we're talking about this. The other day they have they had a beef yeah recently with two other Christian Girls Oh shit Christian beef yeah. They basically weekly and I know you're probably thinking like what does that. Entail right. We were wondering the same thing and it's it's because did to girl to find girls questioned the other one's faith yeah and so they got really mad plus because seeing that episode is Albert. Probably probably we need probably grow. It's older season. It's where it's where cartman like tries to go platinum and he finds out that it's so hard to go platinum so he starts right yeah. He starts a Christian band. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Anyway. Just thirty seconds of this show Jesus beef now. It's actually pretty is pretty gangster because a a they sat down on their beautiful white snow background and they basically looked camera and there was like you're not about it. You're not about God and then all Christian mother clapback. She said of her camera to her beautiful I should and she was like yes. I am and they've just been kinda dishing Senate out. Have you guys done a video on this yet. Now we haven't it's. We WanNA leave them alone a little bit you get. Is it ever hard like where people we don't realize. It's just a joke. Now I mean they they hate. They definitely hate the videos you know. People are usually cool about it right like the the one we did on the computer guy like he invited us over afterwards and like and people are usually like cool. That's after we do a video on them. We'll talk about it and we can meet up with them and whatever but they the two girls like they they made us yeah. You are sending pieces of I mean we are a hundred percent. We deserve it yeah. That's who they wrote a they wrote. What a big ASS? They were three hundred dollars about us to really yeah. They were going in the middle different though because you're you're touching on their faith a little bit so it's like some type of way. Look the devil but it's you're like you're going to hell. We're going to help you know what I mean. We're not I can be the nicest sweetest person person in the world but like I'll thank you came over. I don't know I'm open to hell. Would they say they will say wrote like ah like a like. A five paragraph instagram post it was crazy and it was like we got six million views on youtube. It's our most popular video. The only problem is we didn't make it and then it was just like these man arrives man and now we've done to videos on them. Feel like leave. Leave it alone very adult of you. Because you realizing like Oh we could still do this. It would still be funny but we don't want it to become like yes yeah yeah. It's a big deal twenty thousand nine hundred plus. They already got their own now. They have their own beefs to worry about beef. It's kind of funny that it's like legit beef minus the religion like there. It's just like any other beef your life yeah kosher be. I mean a by the the yeah yeah terrible or not. It ain't kosher that's for sure now. They're doing all the same stuff. They're making music videos about each other down now. I'm Jay Debbie mad funny though Christian district would that be life noman. Oh Man Craig ask him if oh yeah see he's actually really nice. No I'm sure yeah mccray like Christian version genre okay. I just keep Mary it's fine like I literally isn't an. NF isn't he Christian repertory. Did he start as a Christian rap. No yeah technically yeah I think so we've kind of had that conversation. sorry I must no no no no no. I'm talking about so we've we've had that conversation but yeah he's definitely a man of faith but he also just loves rap. There's no reason you can't like both yeah. Let's do it like I do but but do you know him. KANANA's dry humor is knowing me yeah. We went on tour once. Oh really yeah last year right. Dj Brick we okay super cool like wicked flat tops at sick synchronized dance moves with themselves like he's really farms arms or what really in tune with themselves you know that he's done as crazy yeah so you got a Lotta. NPC's in here man I was going to say what is the delorean right here. That's the delorean. Is there a story and turn it on. I got that in Japan. Let's see when it was only five hundred bucks dude really Japan and it's like fully works and shit drive in the flex capacitor turns and then he travel time at all yeah. Definitely he's like yeah. I got a time machine this right here. I don't want her bugs making movies about these stupid. Should I have it right here. Much vans a future man and then that's it's my first ever got. NBC Two Thousand and Star Wars one yeah and then this is the empty three thousand. I got this No. ID's got at that from him. Wow pretty cool very cool. Pc like twenty thousand the size of like a S. L. Board has like nine hundred but it just does is the same thing yeah she's more buttons yeah and like all the pads are like fucking gigantic casinos is like post Malone says Buttons Buttons Yeah Ever noticed yeah. I noticed that when I saw this so this interview that he did two years ago and I didn't really like no I obviously I knew about post malone but I didn't really I was like okay like post will only make school music and then I saw this interview where he's talking about playing guitar hero. I love this guy's. What is again smashing those buttons? I'm a I'm a I'm. I'm a catch them next time we see him. Isn't that where you're like. The world is mass shootings every day. Everyone's talking turn up so I did this. One Song that was kind of meet in the middle and this is just a little fun like it's like it's like Kinda turned out but I'm also I just had to say something. We have forever done. He found me on on twitter randomly. He'd like Click this link and saw me just wrapping walking down the street and I was living in big lenny's basement. That's my homey and now he's he's my artists who assigned him when he was land surveying for twelve years where he would like measure the property line of you know houses and different buildings and stuff like that and then we just became friends and he let me live in live in his basement like I said and Chris discovered me and we just started grinding and putting out mix tapes and before I knew it me and Lenny we were on our I told him to quit his job and we moved to. Let's I know well driller drills through driller. I Dunno okay yeah. Can I ask you how how was doing doing an interview with Guy Rise in general what was he like in person. We didn't do it actually in person we had to do it because he was in New York or something or we are we were in New York and he was in la. I forget we were so we weren't in the room with each other but he was shot. I've always wondered that no it's sometimes you do like it just so happened that we can do at that time but dude he's he's go extremely professional and like one of the most probably just like well rounded and the dude just really did as researchers yeah and took the time to like no trying to like look at you and say they just speak up this other guys like this other fools podcast way fire fire everything about me. Look Nice walking into a conversation like that. This is mostly me just nurturing out about starting flint flint about that podcast spark in Flint Flint Morning Game Boehner for that podcast well we made. I Made Fun of a one time on our podcast hardcastle an impression. I didn't make fun of emotions like he has. He has a specific way of speaking so I did an impression and someone you razzed guy res- razzed him a little bit. What what do you mean like he was upset someone tweet at him and like tagged me in the tweet and then he replied and he was like a little a little bit offended and I'm like fuck will now? I've you know I've chances might create a billion dollars responded like I'm not even really on social media like that anymore because all of its bullshit so so it's like if somebody's like gays suck fucking. Pc Chic Blah Blah Blah and I'm just like that's fucked up like not not that I respond anymore than there. I'm just just kidding Bro. He responded. Probably the wrong hands yeah but yeah no. It's like I've learned that shit like nobody anything pretty. Much says on the Internet is like real yeah yeah you can't you can't live on that have allowed it to be fucked me a few years ago and now I'm just to the point where I'm just just the real like real. Life is the bomb I know he's probably sound like a donor. No not like the real life is as a bomb and like everyone on social media late you think about it did yeah. It's like real. Life is what it's about yeah like what do you think about it like the Internet wasn't there. Well like your Keno Reza's when you do that. No one would like say any of that stuff. You know what I'm saying because there's no Internet yeah. So what are you have. No you have like support groups and get together at that point Taylor Shit fucking morning Boehner donor. What is it then? It's just worn on game morning game owner. That's the second compliment you've given. Even his is by the way in Hell you always tell me you know what I'm saying. Evo The funniest show was dude. Miguel was complimenting my eyes and it's like it don't have nice eyes and the other dudes like not just like look away and then Miguel standing there. I'm like you gotta you. Just gotTa own it. You gotta stand strong complement Bro. Oh don't don't give up. Give up down now. I'm fucking with this. This is funny yeah yeah. This is just like super cool. This is why I agreed to do. This is what I wanted. Yeah I get you up three one that we appreciate you Tweeden us and yeah you know we love fucking coming in a different places and doing this shit. It's awesome. I feel like somebody should do like a really just suss edit this. Don't worry something will come in this. Don't you worry love. Don't you worry morning Game Boehner although that one would just be ask so do you guys. How is it just doing what Oh you do on the Internet? Do you ever feel like it's it's difficult to her like people try to come at you. Are Loma Sake you can't even know let the man on shared or the the people who like like listen to our podcast shows and stuff. They're they're all super level headed the smart people and they were not out to hurt anybody so like they're just I don't know it's it's never been real bad. I wish you could introduce me to wherever that places everything I do. It's like game over crazy. Yeah rap is is is like very this criticized. It's not criticize but like everything you do is like under a Lotta man scrutiny now that hip hop is the the the biggest genre in the world so it is pop music like today because of that now you've entered the realm of like fucking. TMZ and all this other ships what Britney Spears and shit used to get plus like if your shoe gaming strong they shitting on this. It's funny Honeyman I just I've always lived by the code though like I just don't give a fuck like you can't let others opinions of you like distract you from your goal and what you what you WanNa do one hundred percent and I just like having fun but I will say It's been easier not being on social media but it's also harder order because since I was back in that basement I always used social media to talk to fans in reply to fans and all this other shit and because I like okay very respectfully and many ways you guys play characters to you know what I mean like your Oh yeah but with me I I'm putting my whole heart and so on the line so it's not like I'm like MC MC fucking bad ass like this thing and I'm like pretending to be this guy. I'm not and then people you focused suck. You're not really terrible you and then I'm like fuck because that's not who I am right but the fact that I'm writing on the fucking Oh yeah record. I'm talking about like you yeah you. My mom being sexually assaulted in the other room. Somebody's yard so I've I've. I've I've had to kind of sacrifice the fan engagement or just you know peace of mind. That's why like people probably don't realize that got married again having a baby. There's all these things because that's mine now. Are you not on social media anymore. Is that why not really I mean I am when I go John Drive past again. My social social media not just makes you remember why it's fun. You know like I'll just be out with my friends are doing something stupid and my biggest thing was always like my story like I would just go on my story and just like Shit on everyone yeah and have fun and it's like a joke and it's hilarious so but I don't know man. It's weird I have. I have a very weird relationship with it. I think I think I don't know I feel I feel like staying away. From It is is a good thing nowadays I was depressed. I feel I feel the weight of it more often now than I used to for sure and I think it's also so just 'cause like consumption is going up a lot like there's so many more like like even stories alone just that Oh to spend so fucking longest scrolling through that shit yeah and then you go through the feet and then go through all the other shit today or that's that Shit Pomerania looks good man I yeah in my life. E talked about about your is three times. You're great person. Familiar Really Nice really really nice goes about a throwback like there's nothing nice about me nothing at all that is actually really cool. I've always wanted to go on a racetrack yeah. No I haven't and have you never even been on a racetrack and you're like Oh. I WANNA be a racer. I mean I've I've I've built a Shitty Honda and I've rented through canyons and stuff like that but like ran through kid. Yes just like that's that's the charities the most fast if I've ever had you done run through canyons me and my boy dom thereto yeah the scope out there which run on this thing focused six hundred coyote or engineer. The lines memorized bro Actually for my Bra. I got butter RONCO. Yeah I love it's nineteen. Sixty seven and underneath is like all brand new. That's like a brand new truck under there and I don't know what that means. I just know I really liked this. broncos really wanted to buy it and years nineteen sixty seven and you got it like that. It's like it's all new engine and shit like that so there's a six hundred horsepower coyote engine. I have no idea idea what animal or if that is a good thing yeah I. I'm not familiar with old Kylie Motor like that so see but you wanna be a racer. I mean that's not race cars though yeah but that's cards man I mean yeah yeah that's true 'cause I got six hundred horses. Yeah I mean in behind my carriage front of Fra Right so you got a mid engined Bronco actually took Lamborghinis platform put that in a Bronco Yeah we re engineered the whole chassis. Ask My six hundred coyote motor. Just might track is planned through the engine right now. I don't know about that because I I don't have money like that. That's going to build a Honda civic next year for Shit money like five grand should bring it to Regina and race in that in as Donna stockcar raised come again in a regina. There's a city called Regina man we were there. We went to a stock car race the giants by it was awesome. There's a lot of fun. That's what's up. Yeah Yeah what happens. If I turn off when I turned back on it just pops in and out yeah. It's it's not just rejected it. What are your hobbies? What do you like to do when you're not? I love to play chess really oh yeah obsessed with chest really yeah as of recently or or for three months now. I think I've been there I have a chess teacher I I'm. I'm a part of Chess Club. I do rap yeah. Okay Yeah I love that I love hanging out with my dogs. my wife yeah do you like do you like the competitiveness of chess like when you sit down against a an adversary that you think is like worthy for me. It makes it makes me nervous no I there's chess is as good as it is because you lose even though you WanNa win all the time so losing good unless you get your fucking ass Hannity like eight times in a row when you're upset and then you start playing emotionally but for me it taught me a lot about myself when I first started playing it recently like I'd move and then my friends friends would be like taking like twenty seconds or thirty seconds to like make their next move and I'm like talking. Let's go bro like let's go. Let's go and I realize the reason I was so impatient because I'm patient and so how many other aspects of my my life like I'm the type of guy you know. If you go to the doctor for a checkup like I can sit in the office for an hour without even going up to the person billion hey just because has a patient when it comes to should I love yeah. It showed me that I want to get through it so that I can continue to do it over and over again. However that then showed me like whoa this is what this is what it's about sitting here in this moment whether they take twenty seconds to minutes ten minutes and trust me now that we're all increasing our our our playing skill like we're taking a lot longer long it takes to move and it's just allowed me to really really look in the mirror and and kind of focus on certain things about myself like what's really crazy is competition? I never played sports. Growing up skated for fucking years I skateboarded but but I because I was so poor I couldn't afford Oh jerseys. I couldn't do karate. I'm sorry I couldn't do karate. I couldn't do all this other other stuff and so now at almost thirty years old I'm playing chess and I'm realizing like what it's like to be an adult and kind of act like Child Young Kasporov rob over here man you know we'll play some chess day yeah right we should we should should do. I want my ass. I got the most basic standard opening and after that I'm just winging it Regina I usually move on the ponds up to to open yeah so that's usually my opening move hoping that opened it up hope by bus a wide open we gotta we gotTa make a chess playbook for the modern age a and we just got to rename all the classic moves with like Modern Moves and Regina is C. Seven Yeah Yeah Yeah I already six hundred yeah he's got. He's opening coyote six hundred right here. Yes let your standard bus down opening down now. What are you going to do he's GonNa come out right here just in the early game and she's just been a bus down all over the board bus it down as the Queen Right there yeah yeah man man so dope? You like Jesse play chess. How was it you write your own book the supermarket right that was the question in writing Chinese? I'm I meant like how was that process was. How was it releasing a book? How many pages was it who's Latte just going and it was dope man it was it was really cool because it's about this guy who we just We just soldier paramount I can't. I don't know that I can get into that township because that out we're going to cut it out but we're doing the film right now we're doing the movie is just as exciting. Just look over. Everyone's like don't say that has got to go. I'm giving you that Adam unreleased songs and shit. This is crazy. What does what does morning Game Boehner all over this shit and then it's got to be a thing like that's really funny morning Game Game Boehner together and just do the Merch Yeah No? Let's do a man yeah we're down. What's your domain? Someone already did that. Wallace episode talking dwags already know it was cool man. It was no by it's kind of like a psychological thriller and it's it's. I always I always say is really weird kind of to explain it's kind of like fight club it but I wrote it about myself through you know this fictional character just because I was going through extreme anxiety eh and like depression and de realization where you almost feel like the world around us it real crazy shit and I knew I didn't want to take medication. I wanted to really deal with it and that's why I'd I mean I used to be like one hundred and twenty pounds so you know I started working out taking care of myself writing and kind of through this evolution of the character through my book I found my own mental health just truly increasing for the better and it was really cool manages. I don't know just something really special and I'm. I'm glad got it out and I'm glad that there's an audience for it. Did you write the album at the same time or was it at the soundtrack soundtrack for it that I did did I had a one or two songs that I was working on but it was towards the end of like with the editing process of it is when I started working on on the album and that whole thing was just about you know it was like coming out of my last relationship and then after being in that relationship meeting my now wife and then just writing being an up an album about her kind of based off my main characters perception of his love for the the main girl in that them talking talking dope man. That's really cool. Thanks clue what they're a little book little fucking. He'll tiny book aside. How how big was the dimensions Yes yes? That's what can fire congrats to thank you yeah. Hey, what's going on anybody? We have awesome guests today. Awesome today. The no other than the one the owning logic. That's pretty epica injury. Bobby tarantino? Yeah. Put that on a mixed. Make that interest the young Sinatra straight up. Yeah. You fasten that too said. Oh, yeah. Benches massive success. One hundred percent believe that good thing about going fucking people up and give them getting on here. Exactly doing this. He making this money looking good. I agree. Just mind your own business day, focus they hands on. Nobody yet. Awesome. Great wisdom right there. You've got a very powerful message. You're young dude. How long you been doing what you're doing? Man, just like anything like, you know, all creatives artists athletes. I think he kind of start doing it since you're young. So since I was a kid I've been rapping having fun doing my so. It's also gathered Berg. Wbur difficult to where I live at seven. Locked which is crazy. I I didn't do time in seven locks, but I've been to seven locks. Times you dive into a lot of psychological stuff. Ego stuff consciousness, talk and the last line of the song. Confessions of a dangerous mind your latest single. Put your eagle on the self in on the shelf. And remember to love yourself powerful. Man. What we're all about here. You know? I don't know. If you've do you watch the show, I've I've seen all the clips on Instagram so really went through them. They're really fun. You hear about the tote towed NTD DMZ. You mean like the drug? Medicine parent. Take smoke it. If from frog venom you smoke it. That's how scary to me. Give me a panic attack taco. Do something is frightening. When you take you once you go through the process. Transformative. That's like my buddy. I think it was Frankie was like, hey, man. You wanna try this this new strain? I was like what's it called? He's like insane. Thanks for strawberry. Pop tart. Blueberry muffin? Yeah. It's a good one. Definitely what what made you become one of become a rapper. Why rapper tell me why rapid? Did you look at yourself from a different maybe perspective, my rapid different this is. But this is something I can do for me. It was something that really it allowed me to just express myself because I never felt like I had a voice, you know, what I mean. I never felt like just growing up, you know, broke and welfare, and you know, the same old story. I just I don't know, man. It allowed me to just kind of paint. Another picture another world is really cool. You know, the weird. We think of what that stuff we all on welfare broke through that never thought about wrapping and the active talking to my mind show. I talked to myself in my head time think Faulk one do something on we fucking money without going to fucking jail where you and then you found box. It's interesting. How you find your path? It's just the universe. Exactly truly any what you're called to my what what you're called. Oh, yeah. What your call to one hundred percent? It will cost to you writing. So. Yeah. But also for me, it's like I'm excited now to get into film. I have a novel that I wrote called supermarket that actually comes out this Tuesday, and it's a work of fiction cope about the. Oh, man. It's it's basically about this guy who's writing a book for the first time, and it's hard because I've been trying to describe like figure out the best way to describe it in interviews and stuff, and it's like a it's like a dark humor kind of. Psychological thriller meets fight club like pretty wild. Yeah. Take place in a supermarket. It does. Which is inspired by like 'cause I I worked in the supermarket. You know, what I mean when I was a kid like one of the jobs, I hate it. I worked in this bakery for this lady. Who was like? So mean, she was like a JAMES BOND villain. Did you hang mall with? Yeah. You're gonna go with the with the death Flint more yet. So weird. My kids to kids to take pictures of the bourgeoisie kid theft, going real ample Tomac, always I always tell people about Maryland is like you could be in like the nicest beautiful neighborhood and take a left and then slowly. Yes, crazy. But though, the most influent to black to come in the country, list them and Potomac. Yeah. Shutout push t. Yeah. We'll push season. But that's all know, the most predominant that schools went to schools and makes the best money all live in Potomac. Why do you think that is? I have no idea here that Laura I think close to DC right upside. Yes. Yes suburbs. I think probably for massive slavery black people prominent early early prominent black from DC, you know. Their jobs and caused manfully they walking guy 'cause that was the Mason Dixon, which was the separation of the south in the north, right? That's interesting. First of all, can we just talk about how I've never been to show or things just goes like, the subject matters. So epic like one minute. We're talking about wraps and the next talking about slavery. That's crazy. That's what it was going about like that. Yeah. Now, we go date. Date different. We are people are reason we all part of our pass whatever it is. And me all related, you know, one day been Africa one. What's been athlete has been? Absolutely. There was embarrassed that he has laid masters and his family, and you took my hair that put anything I remember. And you can't you can't help. We are rough. What answers only check who we are now. Yeah. That's real me. Do. Yeah. Yeah. That's how it was for me. Kind of like breaking the cycle, you know, had grown up poor and around, you know, drugs and all let's like I didn't smoke weed for the first time. I was like twenty seven really like I hate it when I was in high school, but you try to smoke like snoop Dogg and impress your friends. And it's like this whole other thing and back in Maryland. How illegal it was it was like this whole thing. But nowadays like, yeah. I mean, I just started kind of smoking oil a little bit to help with anxiety. They they really did. Yeah. That's how I. At eight brothers and sisters. Between my mom. Yeah. So it's weird. So it's weird because I was like raised parts of my life with like all these family members in other parts, it was like just me and a single mom. But. Yeah. Genie a couple of them for sure. And at different points in time. But Jeannie, my sister. She super sweet and jesse's. What are the ages twenty eight? Yeah, I'm twenty nine twenty late thirties in early thirties pretty much and then the baby. Okay. Yeah. Cool. So you guys are all in the same. Like, you don't have a brothers. How can I forget Ashton? So my dad sixty four years old had of a Secta me after I was born. Actually, I don't know how I feel about that. But anyway. Duties? My dad has just had a baby moly over the have. Now. Procedure. No, he is not gonna work. Oh, baby. Say he got a DNA, and it was ninety nine point nine and everything house. I go. I thought you were shooting go-slows man, brother strong. That's strong. Yeah. We'll talk a little bit about, you know, growing up to come in. Now, you know, you've had some great success men. And and I mean, you're doing well for yourself. So talk a little bit about that transition. What that's been like for you. Yeah. It's weird. Because for me there was never like day and night. It wasn't like, oh, I was super broke. And then one day of is just like mega rich like it didn't happen like that. And I even say like, there's only two crazy things that I've ever bought with my money and one of them is this Rolex, and I got this because I was nominated for song of the year at the Grammy's. And I was like, man. I had been able to afford it for some time. But I just always been like, I don't know kinda just fiscally responsible because it's not just me. It's also, you know, like, the people I employ their also my friends my family, you know, because you've got to trust the people that you're around. And so I always felt instead of buying crazy cars XYZ to make sure I can build a company build a brand. But yeah, I mean, welfare sucks. I remember like powdered milk, and you know, waking up smack in a Roach off your face, which is sex. You know, but I think it humbles you when I started rapping in wanting to get into music. I never saw it as like, oh, yeah. I'm just keep busy and hose and money in this is like not a saw it as a business to be a businessman to say, you know, I want to be able to create quality music in the studio from my heart. And then I wanna go hustle and sell that shit like businessman, would you know what I mean? There's a clip of you, we found great clipped. It's a fucking. In legendary right here. And it's Utah feeling some interview. And you're basically tell him this guy like I don't fuck in do that ship. I love that plot. Fuck with no one. Nobody over you here. Twenty four it's my first festival ever. No. Because I don't fuck with. Nobody. Also. So it's very simple. I stay my house and just me Mahoney's, my fiance. My my little puppy. I just got and I don't fuck with. Nobody. I don't go anywhere. I don't go to parties barely go outside. Like, literally. I really don't go outside that much. I know that seems a little weird. But I I won't I refuse to allow any sort of cancer in my life to spread. So I stayed as positive do you ever watch this clip on social media with everything for me to attain? My my fan base, dude. I was like a hundred and thirty pounds here. One seventy five now thanks to pep pep as my trainer. What are you guys to? We do a lot. What what we're doing right now is more. So like just like fun intense training cardio mix weights mixed with like, you know, all that. There was a time. It was like last year. Actually, like, I it was a month ago last year. I just decided like I really wanted to finally get in shape and finally get healthy. So like because I used to smoke cigarettes, bro. Like I used to drink nothing but cola like I got a p right now 'cause I drink so much water. You know, like now, it's like, honestly. Isn't flushing? Yeah. You gotta go. You gotta do it. He moving don't come back. Do you have to go now? Okay. I mean, if it gets bad, then maybe. Dude, yet a lot of fire there. I don't fuck with nobody. Yes. So, you know. Know. Shit out there, and you've seen a lot. Yeah. Definitely in this motherfucker is your friends, not your friend, the file this guy. Fuck me over this guy. We did. Yeah. The fuck meal. Nobody you can trust. And it's a scary thing. It's too meek game, and they should given. The fuck me over in the music been tonight. Then no, you're fighting your best friend. Shooting atom or something. Yeah. Filed lean that shoot at each other. Did you know Mike head a record label really back in the day? What was it calling? Tell tight record really crazy back in the day. What would I do in? I. But it's been around fifteen million dollars fucking shit. Oh my God money back. I understand the victim. But I had fun. It does sound good. Did you take care of your artists though? Too much. They got to. That's too nice to. That's the, but you're very empathetic. You're good, dude. That's why. Yeah. You just want to help the world. But then you learn do I've been there. You know, there's a difference between like you're talking about that, man. Just in general like I've had friends artists that that you really wanna help. But then you actually find out you're kind of just enabling them if you do certain things for them like they need to learn to fall down I fell down. There was nobody there for me. And so I think that's the thing. Like, I could look at these. You know, even just France, people, whatever like man, I just wanna be there for them. Because nobody was there for one thing that I think. Hello there. I think you grabbed I think I think that the industry turns these people into Faberge's and mean cutthroat people because I don't think they come to me having no idea these people going to be like this. But see. And then I also think that a lot of those people themselves get corrupt because it's like oh shit. This person fucked me over to get ahead. Well, I gotta fuck the next person over to get ahead and -firmative thinking, and the fact that I remember baby knows guys I'm a little than willing and mouse show the fifteenth and eighth open to open up my fight from him. I ran the radio. Really? Yeah. And now you see these guys fighting over money. She'd love body fighting over money. Why will money could they got another outside influences or something you should be? It'd be the flying thing in the world. And then have all the money keep it to yourself, then that they're not very given industry. Yeah. Music. I mean hip hop in general. It's it's a it's a wild place. Man. That's why for me like my my message was always like peace love, positively treat others. Well, like take care of yourself. Save your money. You should sort of been. I thought in eighties minute was crazy. This is crazy. This was crazy right now. He's young brother like yourself. Well, talking young man, you talk. Thanks. We would say anything about him grabbing fan about rap music, and it was bad somebody who come up with one company, and we stop beating on us. And we on the air we big cane of when that we're not car driving here guiding oh ain't no eight five and he's beating the guy up in the Radio Big daddy. Kane. Just bust in the door. You'll. Guys fucking. Criminal big. Okay. I've got radio funny. Kid incriminate. I'm joking. That's a trip to I mean, look different making big into puck one hundred percent. You know, it's weird especially social media. Social media makes everything crazy. Just like could listen and wrapping have images stuff. Yeah. On nobody to destroy image out right images. Image is everything your images, you're gangster. You're gonna have to show that. That. The peace. Love and positivity message shift for it like you do. The hard guys gotta give him shit. You know, actually hard dudes that actually understand they've been through it. And they're almost like you're not straight up like like be yourself. Like, you ain't gotta try to pretend to be nobody. It's the fake fuckers who Saif more full of. Hey. Fife he'd like to intelligent rap. As long back in the day in aid intelligent rapper true. One guy. Everyone get in the rap. I've got his name. That's I'm I'm with that. That's. Remember, you know, having a message, but also it is fun to turn up. Just make some fun shit row. Definitely fun in life. Dude are used just got a five. Listen, this is like filling in math. Yeah. To a monk then mass go with the man. It's okay. On that path. Yes, I feel like cooking accidentally trap your pinky off. And be like, this is just fine. Fun. Man. I mean, that's what that's what I'm all about. But Mike is Egypt brother headed the trip? Listen, man. There's no particular driving laws there. That's what I hear you serious. Drive all over the ramrod back on car. And so we're just driving people walking. And you gotta get commit to to you have to commit. There's no light in the car to keep coming. So when you get opening guy committed don't hesitate. Yeah. And that's what about you. Gotta get head people like bumping share has Ernst their sanity that sex. And I it's just really was just poverty this America. The Beth this is the best place in the world. All countries the Middle Eastern, the big shot European this the best. Yeah. I love home, man. I do I love it last great wild shit going on to government XYZ and all that. But I tell you I do love where live to the only places somebody violate your this. And you can go to the law and pointed. That's right there you countries somebody violet or hurt. I always say why haven't you know, man, these things are different because they interact with your brain in a different way. Second, alex. You know, they show you things about your life things that you've probably thought about that. You know will be confirmed, you know, truth about yourself. That's what people like buddies of mine who have you know, done like LSD or even shrooms and stuff. Like that said, even though the experience might have been crazy or really good for half of it. And then really weird for the other half that it really opened up a lot about themselves and showed them a lot. Which is. Yeah. The you know, so. That's kind of where we're at. These days cannabis is being legalized, and then these psychedelics are starting to be realized as medicine, you know. Their own the real thing. That's why for me. Like, I think smoking weed with such a difficult thing when I was younger because it's like auto beach like hit that. Straight up. That's the real ship. But when I get older right now, you don't wanna do. I don't want to do. So for me. I'm all about like microdosing like I just have. And I'm so that's what who am. I trying to impress grown, man. Let me ask you. What's one of your favorite memories in general favorite memory? Good question. Man. Well, no having remember things. I know mama leaking being by Larry Holmes jam and then teenage October second eighty remember that we there. No that the cool circuit watching it cried that Dan. Messed up. What about you know, man? Do you have a favorite one of your favorite memories? Fed some big ones man the day. My daughter was born. Wow, huge one. I just remember thinking, you know, it was one of the most profound things I've ever been witnessed to is a life coming into the world. And like. Damn. Fucked up. I was going be like first time. I play PlayStation. Yeah. I know what's yours man, one that comes to mind is you guys know red rocks in Colorado. It's like a it's a beautiful amphitheater sake. Ten thousand people you should check it out. It's like you said theaters carved into stones of the boulders, it's insane. And I went there in twenty thirteen with kid Cutty, and I opened for him about the John. And then I went back a few years later and sold it out myself and headlined, and I brought my buddy limbo. Who's like my best friend out excuse me. And it was like we had a real moment. Like, I cried on stage. I was like there's ten thousand people here. Like I dreamed. I could've sold this out. And they give you an award. That's like made at a rock, and it says sold out, and it's a piece of the red routes. It's really beautiful. So that's for me as an amazing. Young guy starting to box. I wanna all the guy the grief. No my name. Yeah. You know, what I Frank Sinatra? Tune in only the biggest thing Frank from those guys knew just Mike you like Mike to them. And it wasn't like I was telling my coming here. Mike and need him now from the call. Fuck. That's is cool. It is cool with people you like really love and look up to know who you are. There's been some surreal moments where that's happened. And it's just like, man. That's it's so cool to it. Oh, it's just like about acceptance. It makes you feel accepted. It's dope goodbye. And I don't know about your time. I'm all those guys for my my mother's Bob Hope all those guys amid all those guys. Burl all those all those kind of is really big moment for me. Sammy Davis knows gave it can with those guys. Grow gel. All those guys. What's on your bucket list? One of the things you want to do mine was jump out of a plane. And then I did it. Everest will really that mother fucker crazy. Yeah. Let's go to the seventy one where he went to file it and got two or three laughing at it. We saw so we gotta do something of the answer enough to know, what about space, would you? Go to space, Elon Musk and get you out outer space. I don't know the possibility. I mean, I'm not going to be the first flight. You guys have funded. I'll be here with my shoes on the fucking earth. And that's motherfuckers blowing up those banks. I wonder we planted like Maude poodle, you look of Scott DC birds fly. What do you do they have both technically no life on other planets that we've discovered as of yet? I don't know. I think it's bogus. I don't think they tell us everything we don't want. God. As many galaxies like ours, as there are grains of sand on a beach. And that's what I'm saying. There's definitely something else out there. Like what the fuck is. That mind boggling bizarro versions of us multi is other other dementia. Tell you know, we're gonna win to wear dimension. Because ever get do. Yeah. A really interesting thing to me when you are in a situation or having a moment where you're like I've been here before isn't that a stray wonder if it's also like maybe you were in similar situations. Like in the past like putting on a watch a certain way hurt a bird, and it just hit some something. It's shift of consciousness, I was discussing with somebody. I'm they had the intestines of some Haruna a mummy any found the money had cocaine tobacco in his hair. Now, that's just the ark Yala just probably just dry drugs. The probably figuring that pick your time. The ancient flower hit that emulated cocaine up here one particular time like to back on what the been here at one particular time, but it doesn't hidden no more but had been here for the for being five myself ignorant higher cocaine. Get out my fifty three days, I'm gonna have to five thousand years right in the fucking hair fading hill stuff. We don't matter. What who stayed in? That they can they know that annoyed and no idea for yet if you look into cocaine mummy cocaine mummy, Bobby you gotta give us a free style. Fuck now playing. A real new. With me, it might what you wrap would you? I would Iraq before grand with barrow supposed to pay full of the train Chris Brown. And we're fighting listen, listen, Ben, this is what really feed me out this one. No, this is serious stuff that we do podcast because these and the bible go pay to watch these guys fight. They will they wanted to see it. They wanted to see so boyfriend Chris Brown, thousands of people pay me to happen. Yeah. Chris grown wanna do? He got a little gum bubble guts. He actually shit his pants or. Scared. Chris brown. I want to do it. But these guys willing to give them TIMMY now with he wanted if fifty whatever that is kinda crazy where where we're at a point where like people would pay a lot of money to see to celebrities or known people if the Vence nature violent has wild. What is that? We love the bloodless. No. But it's like it's weird. I everybody football boxing UFC. All listen all thing that we do for sports with forms of war. Dan readhead and plane kicking head around. You see the paler China, boom. You cut the enemies kicking it around. And you try to fight with your other team invented. Well. No. Thanks football football is just two armies colliding. Yeah. That's pretty dope. By just you're glad eating if minds liver wanted to winners football fan. I'm not really big sports guy. Now, man, I I loved skateboarding growing up. So I was like. Yeah. Skateboarder called Jesus. You know about now. I believe it pro. Jesus. Mike when you were in Egypt. I was in New Mexico. I would skiing. What yes how what was it? Like, I was on with cute myself. Would you go again? I don't know. I had banned them. I wanted this. I'm scared coding, I'm snowplow. Right. And I don't know this though, but you know skiing thrown as you hit the foolish you hit the ground concrete. You know, you come right about the ski flying out. Sure. I didn't know that. I went to the glass dome knocked out cold. When the air when was this? Well, the. Eighteen. I loved it too. I it's so funny because like I don't smoke when I do interviews. But like you guys definitely got just second hand. Good medicine. I know. But for me, it's a like argument. I just yeah. Just I'd love to get my work done. That's just the type person. I'd get my work done, make sure. Yeah. Just on point. And then at the end of the night. Perfect smoke a giant Reservoir Dogs. Yeah. Poverty, too. You gotta be tough game shit. Yeah. Pobably? Yeah. At one time had a lot of shitting any lost it. I never wanted to be shit. I've noticed if I had lost at all. Their shit. Yeah. It's a dark place just trying to have fun, man. That's my biggest thing is enjoying it. You know, enjoying the ride remarried now. Single single. Yeah. So that was yeah. That was a long time. Oh, man. Yeah. So good is what it is. Eight. It's all good. So I just for me. You know, just making sure you're happy. Everybody's gonna be happy. Some people want to be happy though. Yeah. It's a mess that also takes takes a lot of work to continue to be happy. Yeah. I mean, a lot of people don't wanna work on themselves. Exactly. That's what I feels like even with things -iety or certain things. It's a lot of things that you might not be dealing with internally. Exactly, I'm I'm really big on. That's why like if I get anxious. I don't smoke weed the ideal with my angst. I get through it. Let's goodman. No. I mean, it takes fucking you have to get up every day and make a choice about what your mindsets gonna be. You know, I think too many people walk around feeling entitled to joy or happiness. Now, you gotta work for it. You have to were internally that definitely, you know. And that's awesome. And that you know, you're doing your thing. Thank you. You're you're finding success. And I wish you nothing. But it thanks did. I really looking for at the end of the game. In your mind, everything I'm doing right now. But with a family. Yeah. Some little kids like I wake up every day. And whether I want to make some beets or write some wraps or produce for other artists or write a book write a movie like I'm so blessed. I mean, you're blessed. Man, you wake up you can do whatever you want just talk. It's incredible. And I for me, it's not even a stress, but the only thing is to maintain that just to work smart. So that I can continue to wake up every single day doing what I love. Yeah. Do you have any pull Ajay to teach in the game? Yeah. I've got some some artists that I work with for. Sure one that comes to mind is John Lindahl. He's an incredible singer. He's amazing. And it's just fun to like 'cause he's this young guy. It's amazing to kind of see where I it's almost like dealing with yourself when you're younger. So you just want to give them the right advice and all that. But he's like a singers a pop singer fucking insane. He's really good. Justin beaver not ever worked with you work with that guy. I would just because he's sings incredibly is. Yeah. I mean. Yeah. Doesn't discriminate. It's too good stoke too. So what's your main focus right now in music or you kind of letting yourself do physics. Yeah. Music's always like the main thing that I do because I just love it so much, but I guess diving into film is the new goal and I'm excited for that. So that's the goal going after also Xeros. Oh, man. That's a well. I mean Rizza of John Tarantino as I said, yeah, Lenny he's my best friend, and he's one of my heroes, man. He was there for me when I really needed somebody. But those two like when it comes to music and film there it is probably Ernest Klein who wrote ready player one that Spielberg turned into firm. Yeah. For sure. Shit. That's another story that's about to own fold that you see that. No ready player. One just like we were talking about earlier like living in this synthetic oil. It's insane. VR is crazy. Have you guys ever been to the void Millard heard about it? So huge VR. Yeah. Put the whole thing on the walkthrough. Yeah. It's crazy. Yeah. But this place is like a hundred thousand square foot. Yeah. Might VR game Hitler day this guy hit two to the name Ross or brick. Yeah. He's crowed dark dark dark web Silkroad. Yes, sukru. Yeah. I'm telling me about him. He's a pretty awful lot. I don't know about him yet. He did those pretty amazing. Nobody no. I don't know. I don't know how he thinks. I don't know. I feel the German. I think but what he did duck where with pretty interesting. Yeah. What's the name? His alter ego named the captain pirate. Roberts, pirate, captain Roberts or something. No. No, I knew it was over. Yeah. Any went to jail for really long. Took get triple life for life. They joined Joe, thanks. I love water. Smush it. I'm gonna eat fucking starving. Do drink or Ruth or work? Mike legend, we always think of like funny strain names. Yeah. Give us some maybe you could come to Tyson ranch, and you can name drain purple dinosaur. Ooh. Not dino. But with the main the purple dinosaur. Alienate. Alias strawberry. Pop tart, I'm just all right now. Rubbery pup tar and yes, good one. It's pretty good. All right. Good ones. Halen anus. I just thought that was hilarious there. It is brother. Let's fuck and wrap. This thing up guys. You got anything you wanna show anything? I just want him to people. I guess that. #208 - Logic
"You. Work him everybody to h three podcast the number one happening place to come and feel good at the party and just feel high all the time it'd stoked on life. All. These other podcasts you watch you put on your this depressing. This podcast, they are not funny or insightful like. I'm all of those things and more I'll be whatever you want. Just please keep off. Today, we are joined by logic, the musician, the artist. And the the the rapper. One of my favorite guests we've had him on before he's a friend of ours. We have a fantastic conversation. He's in a really good place with his new album that just came out which I believe was is his sixth studio album. no pressure it's called. And is being critically acclaimed everyone's eleven including myself. Great Conversation. there. this episode is brought to you by Ridge Wallet, and I also want to give an announcement with wrote logic. Is that. We have this new members program. Our schedule has changed a little bit. You guys may have noticed. We are now going to be posting are episodes on Monday. and Thursday, those are going to be our two weekly episodes at eight am for the working man. I'll tell you guys why we're doing this a went and youtube analytics. You can see a heat map. Of when people are watching your channel, the mumps and we just we were kind of. Fascinated to find now that people are mostly watching. Our content. During the week starting yearly morning because the these these people are working salt of the earth people we were posting on the worst days. Saturday is the worst date of post concept for general. So, what we're doing yeah is Monday Thursday eight. AM's when the Puck we're going to go up and then for members. We are going to be doing a Friday livestream for members only so. The Friday livestream. is going to go up for members only as a third extra episode. And really have to emphasize that for nonmembers. Nothing changes the same two episodes every week. The third episode is kind of a new beast where we take suggestions. From the audience, we take calls from our members, only discord and. Besides that, we're going to react to content that we would normally cut from our podcast, which is stuff that like Mike US mature rated or might get us claim didn't we always go like almost not even worth it? So why bother? That kind of stuff we can throw in there on the Friday livestream because we don't worry about algorithm suppressing our video or some copyright trolls blocking it worldwide or something I wonder if they will could block are. That'd be weird. They blocked our vodka. The Vodka Stream. Yeah. I mean that happens that could happen well, anyway. The vodka will be available for members I know but people are upset that we're making content on a paywall, but you really just have to understand that like was. When we've lost a lot of our sponsors and we really need to just create a stable. A stable baseline for which we can make continue to make our content and expand the podcast and buy stuff like the Gatsby and What's something else? We've we wasted a lot of money on something else that we we we did but it has happened. Yeah. We have something really big coming up that we've wasted like way more money than speech. Next week. Exciting and like do there was this. You guys remember that tiny little. Mobility scooter that can up the curb and like just. So we found that you can buy six of those for how much was it like fifteen thousand dollars. There was a minimum order. It's toothpaste or something. Maybe, we can find another vendor. That sells them individually but but anyway, the point is that We. Need we we really do need to fostered so we can continue to maintain. Invest in the POD. And WE WANNA reward those people that that really do want support us there and to give them a really quality experience for for them. So if you you know we're going to post highlight. So if you WANNA get a feel for for what's going on there, we will be posting highlights, but otherwise, we're just really thankful that people that do support us directly like that and so we want. To make a really nice quality product for them. So we'll be doing that every Friday I think around twelve. This week's a little unusual because we're recording episode Friday, which were generally not going to do anymore, but we're going to be doing it the first one, this Friday at two we said right Dan. Yeah. Again, because we're recording an episode where we have an interview with with Andrew Yang. That we're recording on Friday and good. And unfortunately, it couldn't be moved in we're doing him at noon so. We're launching this on the on the first week in kind of an awkward way. But moving forward, it will be at noon on Friday probably around. I guess we should specify. Probably around three, but we'll tweet out and stuff. So and the Vaudeville for members. So, but but for if you can't afford it or you don't want to subscribe. To episodes those are main episodes like the ones we've always been making. You're going to get the same content you always have there's an extra episode for members. I think it'd be a lot of fun and I do hope to see you there, but you can always catch the. I know that was a lot to get out. But I needed to explain that there is something I do really want to watch before we get into logic which was not stop. Laugh I was literally can't even wash this because I just I die when I when I watch it I just crying every time because there's so many details I got no audio Dan. And the audience really important. This. Funniest Buck. I saw this video on twitter and I I was just crying that opened at like two hours later and then I think in that got it out of my system and then I was crying again like there's something here. Let me just play A. Cat. So. This trying. What is this like sawn? John. And? He's going so. Well You can hear him like the way. He. Did. So you can hear the get knocked out of them. Off. And the fact that it's blue slurpy exploding everywhere. then. They'll baby for. Murphy. Drink. Fat I think just slurpy. Sonics is known for its known for like having weird drink. Got Sonics. Fast. FOOD PLACE ASK Do you react to that. Kid. The worst moment of his life. So and then. I think they're just recording it because it's like such. Somebody bring food on skates. Guys getting, up to get food. Later, according. Anyway. How do you react to that? I. Saw Comet and it just. You just clock out and never come back at that point. Really you think so just bound. Just leaving. I would scare sunset. What do you do? You help them up? You definitely have to laugh in their faces much. funnies. Duty Asian so hard. Hitting. These probably like seven dollars an hour. For. WAS recorded. Man. He. Just, see Shitsu. Anyway. Anyway. So we install the button. Got You hooked up. As we get that. So like anytime I want I could just. Oh, I can't see it. Just played onscreen anytime I want I could just hit a button. And we can. We can roll it out. Which I think. Exactly, sure the situation, but we can't see it. So is it just full screen? Did I just do it? I can hear. Come out it. Just it just. Shows the video fades. So that's a new feature. For everybody video drop, we had audio drops. Now we got video games. I can't see it, but I can hear it and South Hook you up in the future with. With the source monitor so you can. God so that's anyway I wanted to say. With that being said, we have logic on deck. So with that Oh without I. Mean. I already said with that being said, how much more do I have to set this out further and? He said, I, almost like without being said without further dill. It's like dude just cut the larger so that being said without further ado logic. With us today is the Bobby Hall De, Bobby Hall, Aka Logic who has just released his sixth and final studio album. No. Pressure. and I'm happy to say I'm very excited. And I, am with them. Critical acclaim everybody is loving the album I've listened to it. Several Times I love it. That's great. Thank you so much good. It's a it's a fantastic album. Appreciate a lot into it beyond the beyond that he's also now a dad. So, what does that make you? You are you are yourself a junior, a bobby junior. And your son is named also bobby. Yes, he's the third. So are you a g? You're now a junior and senior? Yeah it's Kinda. Like it's like a, it's like the Yeah I don't know that is that's a weird thing to think about. My mind right now. Yeah you you've transcended the junior. Does Your Dad Call you junior I don't really talk to my dad, but he would just call me bobby just Bob of Ya I love the name Bobby we even. We were considering. That name at some point for a girl though. I actually have a funny story about that to start shit off. So my buddy. Are I'm not trying to flex but, j.j Abrams. You Know Jj Dog. I was texting him one day and he was like, yeah, I'm here with Roger Linn Roger Land is the creator of the NPC the fucking like the lendrum and all that you know Dila and so many of us make hip hop on. And I was like no way. Tell him like thank you for everything and then he got him to write me like a little note. And I was like, Oh, my God I can't believe. This is crazy. So it said you know to bobby for using my instruments, but he spelled B. O. B. B. I. I didn't give a shit. I was like I'm still going to frame this. Put It my studio. Jj was like cool August mail it to you, and then my pre coronas like nine months ago. So he's he's A. Little longer than that, and he said he's going to send it to me and then like. A month goes by. Text Jj and I'm like, Hey, so. Don't forget to send that thing and he's like Oh dude already sent you didn't get it. So it got lost in the May on hold because of the spelling. No. No 'cause 'cause Jj send it to me. Everything. Normally but just Roger Linn fucked by name up, installed it like a woman, which is fine. Whatever sometimes I feel that way I'm just getting so So After I told Jj that he was like don't worry, I'll get him to send you another one and I don't know don't bother this guy and he's like he's fine he's my friend. So he formally types up a letter right and then signs it this time because I was joking with Jay can you make sure he signs my name right and he goes no problem and then he sends it to me any misspelled Abrahams in j.j Abrams when. He was just really funny. It was hilarious probably not at that point. You got it spelled correctly. Yeah but he fucked JJ. He's J. J.. Abraham's. This. Guy. Man You. Know It's good that they corrected the spelling because people would not have believed it was years they'd be like man, you got this off the. Internet for now the actually do have A. Frank Sinatra fine. Piece of art I don't know where it is because we. are still unpacking but it says to Bob, from frank and then inside Sinatra and a fan of mine initia- got it for me like years and years ago and I really That's an awesome gift. Yeah. Pretty cool. So your father now I became a father you know that actually are so now is like he's he's getting he's like a big boys like. Aaron almost three months. How? Old's your son? Like six months six and a half months? Yeah. How is it dude? I can't believe that already all happened last time we hung out you guys like. You just list that. She's pregnant and. was it the last time we hung out when we got swatted? Those on the night. We. Now you now. Yeah. Now you guys are talking about it but the funny part is people don't realize that you were in my theater. Yeah. You got a phone call from a random number and and I was like and you're not going to answer it and I was like, let me answer it and you're like, no no no I'm like just let me answer it and I answered it and I'm like hello. And they're like, this is the police and I'm like here fuck off. Through story. Telling the police to go fuck the because we think it's just like somebody leaked your number something as they do right 'em and officer sounded like a kid too. So it really help. We really thought we were just being pranked by. At the time, a lot of people were calling we fucked up, we had I picked up ALFRESCO and on his dog tag, it had our home, my cell phone number. So people kept calling me and Shit around that tax. Before. Oh was you're right? It was before my number's been on the. I don't ever I don't ever answer no call. So I was like Oh fuck this person calling me. Yeah. I. Never do it either. Your phone. that. For a minute. except. Driving home one, hundred miles per hour crying is we saw shredder I know walking out the front door on a ring. That was so sad but being a dad is awesome. Yeah. I love it. It's A. Every day's new and it's like you don't really understand it unless you. Have kids or like. People in your family that you watch grow up. So it's really cool to. Man Every day one day he's he can. Now he can flip on his tummy now he can from his tummy Jewish back now he can like all these different things like now where he's eating pureed food and she and said he's like chewing and I'm like. It's it's really it's a beautiful thing and I love it balanced is also extremely important because. Since I'm my own boss, it's like. Difficult because technically I could be there every single day unity mean. But I, also I still have to create as a creative and I still have to provide for family. So sometimes that's like can be a little difficult to to. Have to really make sure that I'm giving myself personal time because me and my wife we have schedule. So I worked throughout the week but then I still kinda clock out and come home. after those hours spend the evenings with my wife some days. You know like a day a week is just for me a day out of the week is just for me and her day out of the week is a hundred percent all day Six am to eight PM family time. So it's employee's world. Yeah Dude Double Main. Cool. Yeah. That's good. You guys do that. We have carson schedule with a kid like I never thought we could do it by you just have to tell the kids near it. Yeah. Well, you know. Excuse me. Crazy acid reflux brought I'm drinking coffee and it makes my throat mucous my probably. Power comes dude, it's not the Thomas the mucus in my throat all caked in there like a boo cocky in my throat just to more. More, disgusting from. From my my. Pure Jewish blood line. ACID, refunds. Ship. So what what it is Yet it's super heart because with the first of all with the COVID, meany at home like you know ninety five percent of the time and it's super difficult because a lot of times. Like, we have an Anani- during the day, and so I'm in my office trying to work, and then every time theodore walks by and he's like dad and it's so hard not to want to spend all the time with them but it's really it's hard on him too because like it'd be easier if I was just gone right for the work day. And then came back and you knew what was home, but he doesn't understand why sometimes I can be with him. Sometimes, I can't. It's. It's tough. Yeah, it is. It's really. Feel like you're a bad parent but. Hard to give him the attention when he was like so excited to see you like, yeah. But my I mean, that's what I talked to my therapist about she just goes. As. Long as your you know your child looks at you and they they're smiling and they're happy when they see you or your parents. I mean like as long as you're doing, you're doing what you can for them but I think it's important to provide and it is it is more difficult in I mean like I say more difficult it's also very difficult. For a single mother with two kids to go work. Thirteen hour fourteen hour shifts so she compared builds so. But I'm just saying there are these. It. It's also very difficult to know that your family's right there but you know you Kinda do fucking each three podcasts. Yeah. No for sure right. Now we're sorry Siri they're. Just got to get it out because this is Yeah we can cut that out. Right Dan Like. Don't cut that out. So. You guys know it was like a thing that last time I did a podcast said gnarly like a million times. I didn't know that no I. Look it up on the Internet. You can find it I. Don't know how that happened I was just like gnarly everything's gnarly not. I. Didn't notice I. Think it was just really excited and nervous, and that was like a tick. So there's like compilations of using gnarly a bunch. I'm sure it exists. Should I watch it? Okay I. Don't know that'd be fun to watch. I believe you. You say you're nervous but you really don't look nervous almost. I think it's because I'm a professional like. This is what you do like on you know. But I'm not because I'm still myself I feel like I feel like this is basically me I mean you guys know me right. So personally, this is how I am. But it's just a little different I don't know how to explain watch what you say every little word. PISS people off. Funny thing is though is now have retired from music. I don't really give a fuck anymore. Because there's like this disassociation between Ego and caring what other people think, and then when you actually leave the ship behind it, you realize a lot of things one you don't really exist. You're just a form of entertainment for people. They don't really view you as a human being. So when they save Nice things fucked up things whatever it's more about this persona and not really you personally and when you step away from that late in that. Part of the industry at allows you to take that so easy like there was this dude Do. You guys know Anthony Fontana the Monday yet. The MELANIA. So he is really great at what he does, but he would review my music ever since my mix tapes and it would always like fuck me up because he would always basically say how I wasn't good enough. You know what I mean like this isn't this and this isn't that in. Mind you. He wasn't just totally shitting on he would give me like credit like if something's good, he would say it's good. Mind you. It's just his opinion, right? But I find it really funny that after I announced my retirement and stepped away now me and this dude like text each other. Now he's like I consider him like a buddy like I'll text him about fun shit like video games or music, and we just talk and everything he could have ever said about logic doesn't matter and having that sense of freedom something. That's actually really beautiful but I think it's also ironic that went on like All. Right. Fuck it. I really actually don't care I mean I care I don't care ninety, eight percent. There's still that two percents creative that cares what people say about your you can never fully do it, but it's just I. Find it funny that now that I don't need that acceptance. This album's doing great and everybody loves it. Funny. How that was? Thinking about that it's just. Funny I mean actually. Well even Mellon gave a good review. You know what I mean yeah, and I was happy and I was really happy for you that Because you know I've seen his he's been brutal his reviews when it's negative. Yeah. I've thought about what is it's gotta be so hard to be the artist that has been criticized because. It doesn't matter if it's not good. You know it's still a person and like just to have to hear your work being criticized. In such. We've got to be so but the funny thing is like not good to WHO, right? Well. Said anything you can be interested in you'll find others who are. So it's like I actually. So I did the soundtrack for my book and I just had fun and if you really listen to it, it's just all. Songs. That I wrote while I was falling in love with my wife, you know what? I mean the woman might. The. That gave birth to my child. So it's like. It's all from the heart and I've met people that are like Oh my God that's my favorite album of yours because I was falling in love at the same time or this or that, and there's other people who just hate it but it's like what is that? It's it's subjective but I believe even the Great Mellon also knows that. And that's why I love that all his videos. It's always you know this is just my opinion right which I think is. Really. Yeah, he's torn up, but he's also shown me a lot of love but it's also when you are that artist if feels like the whole world is on you everything is you you but it's like dude, he liked destroyed chance the rapper like. Rake. destroyed. So many artists but more it's like. I don't know. It's kind of entertaining. When sucks to be involved? You know it's like the drama, the Youtube drama it's great to watch. It's horrible to be involved in and I could say that from my side many times but you know from the creative. Yeah I have that same reaction to it's like It's just so painful at times to to get that feedback but like and to and to know like they don't hate me right. They don't it's hard to separate that and no like, oh, they don't hate me I'm not a bad person because I made a album that they don't like. It's weird to have to say that but you feel like a bad person when yeah. I've been in on Madison Square Garden sold out everyone there to see me, and then you feel like a failure because like my last album for this one confessions of a dangerous mind, a lot of people said that they like hated it because it was just a bunch of up for the most part. It was just me like just wrapping to wrap and just kind of having fun and not really overthinking it, and then people were like you. Can't do this like your logic like you can't wrap this way like you have to be Miracle Guy and all this shit. So then they were like you're all the socks. This is terrible. Mind you the people that said that it's just such a small sect of people on the Internet in a cove of you know dislike loud minority because I'm like, okay. You can say those things but I'm I just sold out the garden do you not? Sold out in Reno of people who are screaming lyrics to the song that you don't like because it's very popular. So knowing that and being in, it is very difficult. Now being on the other side of it, it's like who gives it doesn't fucking matter I made a bunch of money and had a blast. What's wrong with that? You know but it is funny. To See, there's two sides of it right? Because I'm like Bobby Tarantino I, make my trap music and all this other shit, and there's a fan base. There's a part of my fan base that goes no, we like to super hip hop shade don't do this. But when I do the Super Hip hop, Shit that people who WanNa turn-up Shit Go, what are you doing? We want to turn up Shit and then when I make some indie rock. Shit and I'm having fun. Everybody's like what the fuck are you do. I step back and I'm happy to know I'm not in a box and I'm not making the same song in the same album over and over again I'm actually trying different Shit and because it I'm happier and now I look at my career. It's about fourteen or fifteen projects. fulling prog in a row sometime once a year every year sometimes twice a year for the last ten years now eleven years and I have no regrets. And that's important. Yeah. I feel like the big theme of the album was just all the expectation, all these people tearing you in different directions and everyone's expectation of you how you should be this way. It should be this way. Your old stuff was good shit now, your new your new your. That line your new stuff's not the old. Your new. She is not as good as your old. Shit you're shit is your old Shit Yeah I love that I. You know as a even as a youtube crater that too I know that eating it's hilarious like you've even done videos on it like. It's What it comes down to also is it's the time in someone's life and it's also relate ability. So when you and Ila were like fucking, did you guys do videos in Israel? When you're there, it was like Oh. My God, who are these people and then when you make the move to the states like you're. kind of coming up and things are different or whatever it's like we're coming up. Wow we're watching these people we love they're going from an apartment to a house, all my God, they're going to a house with two bedrooms two four bedroom. Oh, my God, and then you like are in a mansion and have your own fucking clothing company and you become a millionaire and they're like. Sing. Out of touch. All the time there. So they they rooting for you only two point you know what I mean. But also. This week generally because you pointed out, there are tons of fans who still yeah, wish the and support us wish the best for us. So it's just it's the loud minority that always just is leg. Gets in your head and. Because I think it's like the jungle look if you're on the African plane or something right. And you walk out from the brush. Only a fucking idiot looks at the sky and goes. Wow. So blue, you're getting out of that brush and you're looking for lions immediately because that's what we are designed to do as human beings to make sure that everything is ok before we can then put you know look to the sky so I think Like genetically, like there you go in us to look at the negative on the internet or cell fucked up but it's true. It's so true. I can't you know you just can't not look at it but it's so. Out Because, it's just it sucks so bad to give those people the attention when like the good kind hearted wholesome people that love you support you. You you you kind of look past on because you're trying to identify the lions and your allergy and these people are just They don't deserve your attention. You know what I mean. But I think also, what's the? What's it called Imposter Syndrome I think a lot of creative people have that where it's like you almost feel like a fraud I was just GonNa? Say that. Yeah, right. It's like. Even allow we tell you fresh I get to to have that feeling whenever there's something a little like oh It's yeah. You feel like a front yeah. Even though you're not, it's like you feel like you don't belong you feel like Oh this can't I couldn't have done that like literally unlike. I went platinum what the fuck when what do you mean like what does it? How does that even happen and then so in a like a sadistic way, it's almost like you're looking to those comments to actually validate your own insecurity or prove that you really don't belong there even though there's the other side of you that wants to combat that and it's like for every negative comment on the Internet, I always had a response that I would you know want to say to that person and be like we'd be like best friends like. That you don't like my raps or how I look or this or that, or whatever the case like take that out of it like I. See you like Cowboy Bebop you like the last of us you like all this shit like we should be best friends, but you WanNa tell me to fucking kill myself on say all the shit about me because I don't know wore my hat to the side or some dumb shit like that. It's crazy. But once again when you I haven't been on the Internet would in. A really long time. I wanted to ask you about that I'm jealous I'm thinking of following in your path no twitter no instagram. Read it. You read it. Sometimes, I sneak to read it. Like every every couple of months I'll go to read it because it's my fans are there and I love them, and I go you go to your sub read it yeah. I go to my sub. Yeah. So I'll just go there and just kind of creep because sometimes fans write really sweet things and sometimes they write fucked up things and then it reminds me that's why I love twitch I saw I did see On like some people were telling me that people were trying to say. Because I was I said that going to twitch is going to be so much better and it's going to be the best way for me to interact with fans, and then all these people were like. Well, you looks like you've never been on twitch before like I'm a fucking idiot like. Public comments exists, but I'm going sub comments. Like if I go sub comments only plus MODs plus not being able to say negative words and all of sudden. It's funny because a lot of people would be like Oh that's like Pussy Shit like you have thin skinned, you can't take it like who wants to be called like. Like negative shit albeit how was that helpful to anyone's enjoyment of the stream for people to just come even the people just. It's going to run it for them. It doesn't. Yeah. But it's easy to say that you know it's so unnatural to be on the receiving end of millions of people's opinions about you. Because again, one of the themes of your album is like. It used to be so easy to make wraps when you in the basement in the whole world ahead of you and no expectations. But now where you are with people having all these expectations of of who you should be and so many opinions on you it's just it's not the same. Yeah Well, first of all, before to talk about that, I do want to say. I'm really happy I. Am fucking happy and I'm very comfortable with myself and I'm very comfortable in my own skin and I think you can even notice that if you look at these interviews I've done recently as opposed to anything I've ever done before I was always trying to sell you that everything was okay. Like life's grade and all this shit when it really wasn't. But the reason I'm saying this right now is because not that we are I just want people out there to know. Sorry. What is wrong with me today? Broke. This is why people love. It. It's a little. Anyway, I just wanted to say that. I don't believe that this conversation right now is focusing on negative I. Think what we're doing and I don't want it to be perceived that way by the viewers I think what we're doing is just talking about shit that is starting to now be talked about more which I appreciate it but because this doesn't just affect creatives and famous people, it also affects every day people who do things for likes or do things for comments or whatever to try to get that validation. So that's the only reason I'm even like really diving into this regarding what you Excuse me what you just said you rubbing off on me. Yes. It's very difficult when. You know ten years ago nobody gave a shit about me and I wrote wraps just to wrap. I just wrote to right and that was it and I it was fun and it wasn't that simple. Now knowing that millions of people you know in songs, we'll get billions of streams. It's it was a scary thing on this album mom because it's like dude, everyone's GonNa feel away and I took it all out of my head that even though it would still. You know pop in but not being on the Internet I didn't listen to any rap music at all current rap music or anything while. This album I just went from a place of like, okay. What's everything that I love because to me? This is It's like a love letter to hip hop. There's so many different samples from Oracle by Duda outcast to you know so many people. And Nods and love and show love to Kendrick, and coal, and all these people but knowing. That oh is this line good enough like is this a good line? This even worth it I don't know I have a line on on the song called Aquarius three where I say I, remember window shop, and now I'm shopping for windows from baby new room bobby coming soon, and that's the type align I. would a second guessed putting all my shit before I Ate. At a fear that they would hate because they couldn't relate 'cause it wasn't relevant. Give a fuck. If it's evident this right here is the evidence I'm like Leo and Revenue. Bear. With me dog like and feel what I'm saying. So to piggyback on what you were saying sorry for talking so much of that. was a very difficult thing to know that millions of people are going to analyze every single thing that I do but to have the freedom and the strength to go fuck it. Think. That having a kid helped you. Not Care as much on all that little things. Yeah because when you have a child, you realize like all that matters is that my child breathe and at my partners happy like that's the like. Literally. I would like when we brought him home from the hospital you're like. Checking under his fucking thing to make. This, Shit, they don't tell you to. California okay. You have to wait like three thousand years to buy a firearm. If you have like a clear record and everything's fine, they just throw a baby at you. Possible. By the way, there's a shit called. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome anybody tell me that there's a thing called were babies just fucking suddenly die. Me Technically wake was so stressed because they're too hot either because they get too hot or they roll over in their sleep, they just fucking is called. Sudden infant death I mean there's so many things they turn yellow. Jaundice Yeah did you know that babies turn yellow? And you put him under a lamp you put under fucking lamp plan good. What's your baby yellow at all? No he he's he's he we were very lucky. He was good and I was very nervous about it and scared even to this day scared I had a friend of mine and my brother actually works in this crazy car accident like saying like totalled car completely destroyed and they walked out of it might Yeah. They still fucked up and had to go the husband I get to the scene and there's cars smashed and on fire and I'm looking at my brothers on a stretcher and all this shit I'm just like what the fuck is going on but there okay. Now we were just playing. Talk. But anyway. I'm always like. So I see a therapist every week and and I love her she's she's the bomb and she's helped me through so much and big thing is also like this term called future tripping like. Constantly thinking about the future and tripping on shit that that's really out of your control. You can't do like I used to have deathly fear of flying to the point where I almost bought a tour bus. Like Dj College Shit Birth Through, that like I can't let this thing 'cause it's about control. Feeling like you're not in control, but you're never in control. You get fucking aneurysm right now you can walk outside hit by a bus you could or. You know you could walk outside and meet the love of your life or get get the dream job. You always wanted like if you're constantly thinking negative, your life's going to be negative. If you think more positive life will be positive. So I apply that same thought to son as much as I can. But also intrusive thoughts are gnarly. Like having those visions of like your baby like falling in their head A. Think it's like really sick shit and you're so scared it's normal as human race. A lot of human beings have intrusive thoughts regardless but pushing my my I, I was dealing with intrusive thoughts for a while there and I felt like I was like a Sicko. In general and then my my therapist was like, no, those are normal. You just don't pay attention to. Because the more you think about it more. It does and then yeah, and then now I don't even really think about. That was the thing like when I was in high school, I developed generalizing the anxiety disorder and I feel like what it did is just makes you hyper aware of Shit there was always happening and you just drip about it like for example, intrusive thoughts it was always happening but now when it would happen. I would like you said maybe. Your baby falling out and die or just some weird graphic thought it comes into your mind you iced I start to obsess about it right more like a song. We'll get stuck in my head and I would start to obsess like that. I'm fucking losing my mind because I can't get this song stupid shit. I remember when I you know floaters when you look look at it. I thought. I. Thought. I was dying because I saw floaters like that just goes to show how crazy the MU- can get in the mind. Oh, but that's power of the mind. This is what I wrote in my novel Supermarket New York Times. Bestseller number, one. Congratulations. Thank you so much I you gotta flex that A lot of that I. wrote if you if you ever read the book. ME. It's everything I was going through I was experiencing de realization where you feel disconnected from reality Yeah. I was constantly like second guessing my own sanity I was questioning what sanity is what it isn't what it and what I think that is is the low key just like creative tax like if you're a creative person that comes with it, you're you're gonNA kind of be over stimulated mentally you're always gonna Think Weird Shit that you shouldn't think and this and that but it's like a gift and a curse if if we're blessed as creatives to do dope shit and make dope art. There's some demons that come with it like do my biggest thing honestly and I talked about this we only. Excuse me recently I talked about this. Sorry Goddamn. fucking. Out I have a really gnarly tremor right and it's like it's called essential tremor and it's in my hands, but it's not that bad in my hands, but you see that so if I if I. If I'm at rest it's fine. but it's all in my body, right except my Dick and. You're your tremors. Yes. So it's like it depends. It's like like at a certain position. Yes. Exactly. Like muscles will move basically all the time and yes, this neurological disorder and it sucks but the thing that fucks with me the most like my biggest demon nowadays is that it's in my head. I can't really and I'm good at like hiding it, and it's not as bad as it could be. Because it can be degenerative and that's what's scary is knowing that I can really be out here on some fucked up like shaking shit in the future. and that really scares me and there's options like I. Even tried to take this medication but it was like anti-seizure medication and it made me feel fucked up and weird and I was like, I. Just can't. I. Only took like two half doses and I couldn't do it. But my biggest thing that scares me as acting. because. I love acting and I've been doing recently from Mo cap with video games to this dope TV show with one of my idols, Joseph Gordon. Levitt. WHO's a friend of mine and you know movies and shit that I, have already I'm just scared. I'M NOT GONNA be able to. Stand. Without my head kind of shaking and I know this might sound stupid. But everybody's got problems. So is what I'm trying to say like everyone's got something that they think about that bothers them. And that that was one that really sucks. But I like to be open about it because. I mean it's Kinda like the fat guy called himself fat before anybody else gets chance to. Air It out you put it in the room and then in like a okay say whatever you want now. So yeah. So you say it moved up to your head were wasn't there before and you mean by that just your head kind of tremors a little bit. Yeah. It was like sometimes I know it's not but sometimes I wonder if it's a tick. because. But I don't think it is, for example, There's there's a yes motion in a no motion. The thing is when I'm moving and it's also like sensory if I'm looking around and I'm slightly moving my head, you can't tell. But if I'm still standing up straight, my shit goes like this little and I can't stop it. It's like fucking crazy And there's there's a yes. or No motion in the Yes motion is one hundred percent uncontrollable like if I'm trying to like I know. Do something. I don't know like fix my hair something and I'm. I'm just giving his ample and I need to be still as possible are like get a haircut. I can't do it because I'm so focused it's called a I think it's also a reaction tremor. So if you're trying to do something it can fuck with you. Anyway it's it's kind of a boring subject but I'm intrigued Kinda interesting. Okay. Well, I have. To. So I am interested by I mean. No I mean I'm I'm interested in what's going on in near hurt you physically. No it's more emotionally. Honestly I know that sounds crazy but it's like it's like this. It's somebody like poking you because you notice it it rips you think about it a lot and my therapist. She's like. putting me through pain management and I'm like, yeah but there's no pain and she goes. Yeah. But there's emotional pain here and if you're constantly angry about it and upset about it and I didn't realize I'm actually really really hard on myself. That's another thing in general my my therapist she's like you need to be nicer to yourself. She's like you're so hard on yourself and I'm like. I'm talking about the anatomy and I'm like. But it's how you say shit like, for example, a lot of people do this. I do it, and then now I correct myself but I'll be like, okay. Here's a stupid fucking idea, right? That in itself is being mean to yourself a stupid fucking idea that you're trying to downplay. So maybe it is a good idea but if if people don't like it then it's okay like Bro, here's an idea My idea is this if somebody wants to shit on you cool. But don't Shit on yourself man you know. So those are little things that I'm learning to just be a better me and a half you're happier me through therapy. I have a similar thing where I have A. I Have Tourette's, and so got all these facial tics and stuff and I. I assume that I could never really act either on unlike a professional setting just because it's so distracting. So I probably just didn't even ever try to pursue that. but. I have noticed I'm not noticed the tremor but. Yeah. My wife she says, it's more like something that only I really noticed in most people don't notice it. But the reason that they don't notice it is because I'm so good at hiding it. So. Like it's honestly, it's why I'm sitting in this chair. It's why I'm in this position right now because. I enjoy. Because at rest. As the one thing that makes me feel good. I don't shake. But it's when I go for that action tremor or whatever when when I go to action and then it starts to shake. If you look at other interviews I've done recently where I had to sit on my couch and Shit I, kind of move a lot and the reason I move is because I don't want to stay in one position or it's even as simple as like placing my the tip of my finger. On my head and kind of moving into the side in, it'll stop it. So I'm always constantly moving or doing little things thing. Yeah. But this is the crazy shit is like I feel like Penn and teller like I'm doing all these things that nobody knows are being done to like. Well, you know do the magic of looking like a normal human being and I'm not to say that to me like they go. I thought you just had really expressive eyebrows. Like Fuck. You know what's funny. Let me ask you this too because. Some days I feel like it's better than others and with to Retz I've seen because I've seen like all your guys videos you know and I. I've noticed times where it basically barely never even would happen in a video. do you think personally that it comes with stressor? Is it random or or is it the more you think about it? The more happens personally I'm curious. They say then stress interrupt we gotta break. Might we gotta go to break what does that sound bite? There was a sound bite I asked us the bite but but that is true. We gotta go to break. Let's say you. Did Dan just Dan does this thing where he ruins conversation by saying. I don't know how I feel about getting the sound bite on me. Told me a million times the use it. Not Me on other people kidding. What were we saying? Do you feel that you're you're you're ticks and you're to read staff you fuck. There's times when it's been I've noticed where it's almost not even they're like, yeah. Where were you I wanNa know where were you in your life when? you know the tics were less. What were you feeling you was it even was I'm just curious. So They say that the therese gets triggered by stress 'cause Theresa is a weird condition where it can come and go and severity. But it's it's a uncurable genetic issue. Neurological issue. And first manifested when I was like eight. Or something like that. It was super weird. I think I I was at. My Like grandma was getting remarried. and. One of the guests there was like ticking out like doing this with his head and I thought it looked cool and I started doing. But my car and I that's the first time I remember actually doing tick. But my parents say that they noticed it before me thing is it runs in my family. So my mom was kind of looking out for a already but. When I was really young, it was super bad like my parents took this home video of me in elementary school when I was supposed to be standing up straight as Davy Crockett. I'd like a Musket and doing this whole David Crockett speech but I was I was like twitching. So fucking crazy I've gone back and watch that on video I don't remember ripping that bad booze brutal you feel it when it happens. So the thing is that. It's not involuntary with turrets. It's like you have a each. Yeah and you have the this overwhelming burning need to do this thing. So like if If I'm sitting in a room, I can not tick. But it's like ignoring this really brutal. desired it yourself scratching we hold on right now k. just just. Just try not to do it. To stay don't even talk I just WanNa see how long. Yeah, I can I mean. It really. Know I think it's cool though like now does. This thing that plagues us is cool. But I don't dope. I think you're like an advocate for it. I think you're a very successful person I. Think you have a partner who's who's there for you and understand it lets people know like dude like dude, not only do you live a normal life? You live an extraordinary life with this thing that a lot of people are self conscious about an honestly as I'm saying this, it makes me feel better about myself like that's what you're doing. So thank you. I, you know I'm very fortunate because I have a mild case. Some people have it really really really but you do go through phases where sometimes it will get worse and or you you'll have certain said even hurt you and you're like my neck, it just hurts all. Used to get headaches all the time because I would shake my head like really violently or. Have the yeah vocal but the one will. So but still that's a mile because with people have really bad Retz, they're just screaming obscenities and that's really rare form of only two percent of people have it where they like. Screaming car they were they curse they have this desire to curse and stuff but threats is characterized by having vocal tics as opposed to OCD or something like that. So I'm always clearing my throat and going the. Stuff like. Some may notice that I do that but I was really fortunate growing up to have like an unusually kind and supportive group of friends who didn't goof on me for us though because I feel like. You could easily get fucked by a bunch of ruthless kids. You know and my friends were just unusually. Accepting I have to say looking back on it They would go. Why are you doing that I've the CINCOTTA threats and they'd be like all call and they never bring it up again yeah. That's pretty awesome. House I want. Yeah looking back I'm like, wow, that is extraordinary I've been fortunate you know and. My biggest thing where do we have to take a break or something? Okay. Let's take a breath thanking. It's not it's not a row. Yeah. We can just say we're just going to be like, okay, we're cutting. And then I'm GonNa do the ad later. So here. Break. Just to end this with the one thing that really freaks me out. Talk shows because of this thing. Right And that's. Sorry. That's my inlaws dogs they're staying with us. Oh. I can barely hear him by the. So yeah Yeah talk shows man I for me. It's you feel like you can't. Relax or that you have to stand a certain way or look a certain way, and then I'm like, oh. My God. I'm GONNA shake or freak out or whatever. That's it but I mean at the end of the day dude. I feel like you should just let it shake. Shake and bake shade I look who was it? WAS IT Was it? Liza Minelli. I think so right am I tripping with? No LIZA MINNELLI's mom who's Liza MINNELLI'S MOM Check from wizard of US Garland, Judy Guile and she had essential tremor. So there you go. So that's why she was like that. Yeah I, guess what I anyway, I think the thing to do is just Instead of feeling nervous and trying to hide it just fucking. Let it just let it hang out and you know it is what it is. Right I mean the thing about my is I could easily be like I'm never going to get in front of a camera because I looked like a freak. And I think people embrace it because I embrace it. I agree I think I'm comfortable. With it that's why talk about it but it's still it's still personally ails me. So that's why I try to do the things that I can do where doesn't shake because I haven't reached a point where. because like I said, it feels like someone's poking me. It feels like I I, notice it rips me from. Sun? So Yeah. I see I've had that before like very rarely I'll feel like some poke my neck and I'm like. You know like yeah. Well, no I mean like it's. Like metaphorically poking me. So takes you out of the moment though. Yeah. Yeah because. Like I'll be talking to my son or I mean playing with my son or talking to my wife, and then I'll just like. My head will start going like this, and then I realize it and I'm like what the fuck and everything we just talked about yet. But. It's like that but it's not that anyway. It is that deep did. So How good are you? At S- waddling? I'm Suave Master. Yeah. I'm pretty grass waddled till. I was pretty good with Swat. Oh Man I did a good job for those of you out there who don't know what we're talking about. swashbuckling his win. You basically take like a like a fat like a like a little blanket for a baby and you make them all nice and Tirado. PUT, make? Them. And literally doing a Burrito, you flip it over you really good and I never got good at it somehow. Britney Brittany. She was all right but. Dude our our nurse is like the fuck and mass. Yeah. Jacket so I was living in her shadow. Doing, my best. And I was just texting her 'cause. I told her to come say, hello, she succumbs shy is on the podcast and I'm like fuck it, and so it's all good to see them. Yeah. I don't know where bobby is because we We have his his aunt, who's GonNa Start helping us take care of him a few days a week. So that way you know my wife can cause she paints now, which is really amazing. She's a really good artist actually and just to have that time because she's twenty one to dude like she's so young and and and the thing is she was very much so like Like she didn't want help. She didn't want. She wanted to do everything herself which I get and she's like an amazing mom but I kinda was like Yo like you deserve to have a life you know what I mean like it's okay. You're still a great mom go do some shit. You know whether it's a horseback riding and painting or just enjoying your like you deserve that throughout the week. So I at first I feel like we kind of. I totally get that because at first especially on your first kid. Stan. What's going on? Yeah, and you just want to be there and experience the whole thing. Yeah. Yeah. But now I can see Theodore. I'm kidding everyone to this is the worst dad out of touch. And it's funny. Also, people will just take an obvious joke and really right. Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah. So. Why so you're out of La Escape from L. A. What was the name of that movie saw? Escaped from escape from La. But what was the franchise? York, was the first one. Yeah. But what was the name? What was the franchise? Just, the escape. Escape Shit that was a bad escape saga. Yeah. Yeah. So how is escape from La been for you? It's been great because I was never really in L. A. Guy and I didn't realize that until. Like. Ten years of being in La. Just read or recently ish moved to the house where we last saw you two years I twenty, twenty, eighteen. Yeah. You were doing a lot of work on that house. Did it was it a bummer to like do all that work and then bounce? Wow, that's a great question. So for those of you out there who don't know what he's referring to exactly I built this crazy theater for like three hundred grand. I built a home studio for a million dollars. WHOA. Pseudo I loved it. Yeah. Is Really Amazing but where I am now is like way better and I love it and it is a little sad that I don't have that. But I think there's I'm just GonNa like. I don't know either build a studio or by one or. But I also don't need it like I'm still always GonNa make music even retired like I love making love music whether it's rap music or any kind. So I'm still going to do that and somehow you know I don't know I might just like Andre three thousand and like every once in a while like a random song or do features. As far as albums shed dunk that. Yeah, did you. You sold did you sell your house in La Not yet? In a few little things and then, and then I'll, and then I'll put it up I was wondering if you got like I wonder if you're getting GONNA, get your investment packer, you don't care you just want to get it. Okay. I don't really care but I think I'll be able to I'm definitely GONNA make money on it for sure because. I improved it so much and whoever's going to buy it is definitely going to be an entertainer either film or music because of the studio and he's going to buy studio. Yeah. Crazy studio. It's GonNa. Be Worth it to that person. So yeah. Yeah. It won't be like a loss or anything, but were you moved a Scott be the real estate? Costs has got to be way way less right? Yeah. Dude. I. Bought. So my house that I'm in now is four stories for levels and it's literally four times the size wow that that you guys asks crazy. It's crazy and it and it was for like a million dollars less than. The other house for do it's crazy when you step outside like New York or Los Angeles or these kind of cities and. It's did it blow your mind what you could get for that price he had to yeah. You get so desensitized come here. Come. Here come Neil. Say Hello. How are you guys? How are you good Kern Grad being a new parent very camera shy. Can you hear them? Oh can you hear? How was the how was house being mom? It's amazing. It's hard. It's hard. It's. The first six months because we're in like year one point three. Now, the first six months is the most brutal for sure. It's really tough. It's stressful but I think now we're getting our routine down your. We're like creating a schedule we have help help has been like my mom grandma has been a huge help rule and able to do it without her for sure. But I mean I would have been just. She's The bomb. Tonight. Oh Yeah Bay sleeps through the night. Yeah. Yeah we got a night nurse that helped us sleep bad. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You gotta get the Nikes. Are you nervous? I'm very cameras and I keep talking or do you WANNA leave. Well. I'm I'm okay. Okay. Comfortable now I'm okay. So very our privacy is very important I love how I'm like come on this huge podcast. Well. But we're buddies. So it's a little different well. A Hospital on everything in the birth and stuff. It was it's really cool to look back on. Now I. Know this sounds weird but now I know my pain tolerance. House. Yeah like. It was basically went all the way without I got epidurals last. Girl and then fifteen minutes later home, God? Really. No I'm so glad I got it when I did because then I would have been doing it naturally but yeah yeah. I know it's really cool to look back on and I love telling this story to friends. Because they're always like, I can't believe I have a audio journal that I've been doing for like really giant moments in my life and I started with that my Buddy Guy Roz He's a he's got a podcast called how I built this and he basically was like, yeah, you create audio journals where you just record like these these moments as they have been like. After they happen, and then you'll have every single detail and that's one of them like I saw them. fucking GNARLY. As after career like we have to remember the. Days but to me, it was like really beautiful. I know like a lot of people. Honestly like certain guys. I know are like Nah man you don't WanNa see she a dog and you don't WanNa it. Made me even more attracted to my wife personally seeing like. that. And everything that happened I. Loved it I thought it was I thought it was crazy. It was really funny though because my back was hurting. We have to talk about how my back complaining about is back. Yes. She's in bed and I'm like. I. Obviously joking. When I was having like the worst contractions getting needle second backs he's he's like my back hurts. Doing it to make her. Like A. epidurals. Really Cool. Is a further show. I told you about my buddy Joe I was going over my lines and I had been going because like whenever I do something especially acting I just go all in and I make it like that's the biggest focus. Obviously besides my wife giving birth but while she was there in bad, we were like doing our lines back together. DISTRACTER IN YEAH ST regret not getting the epidural earlier. Are you happy that you got it right up at the end? I'm happy. Did it at the end I definitely could have gotten it earlier but. It was a pretty intense pain right before. So like I said I'm glad I did it when I did because then now I know I can go through that amount of pain. And it's pretty cool yeah. Apparently next baby but she. Sounds too I felt like I like my whole life. I had a fear of giving birth interesting to me like the worst thing possible then. It just like, yeah, it's painful but it's fine like you can make it through it and yeah definitely looking back at it it's like. Wasn't terrible. Could do that Shit I don't want do yeah I'll do all my God you I would die. Yeah. No. I I don't try to hide it. I've fucking I would. Me But like yeah, I would be terrified to do that. Well I don't know like when I gave birth I was holding her leg like what was your point of view bobby? I was holding her leg and looking. You saw the whole thing was fucking there for everything dog I saw a little alien pop out of there. Yeah. It's really gnarly to is I you imagine that it's cute little flesh colored thing in. Not. It's all way. Looks like fucking Baltimore then it comes out and it breeze. And then it looks like Barney it's. Already. Purple and red and said, I just remember I remember him coming out and his top of his dome just looked like a meatball. All White and bumpy. It was crazy. I did one of those like like when the baby actually came out one of those. Oh. I'm trying profusely. I remember. Like against the wall crying. Over here doing. Well, when? They took him out and then they they immediately bring him over to some tab. Table. To, like clean them off and inspect. Reading, stuff and you're like with them. Yeah. Because I was like. Yeah I didn't know to do. The. Doctor. Immediately all around him and I was like go. Go it doesn't. But anyway he held onto my finger wbz. That's yeah. Birth birth was. A gnarly experience and I got to pull him out to. Any Pool. After his head and his shoulders were out. Oh. My. God. It's been so weird. Yeah. It was crazy. My doctor told me to do that and when she said that I was like, what are you talking? Yeah brand I'm like okay. So, my. What did that? I mean, what did that feel? What was that like for you? Well grabbing him obviously like feeling him it was just up thing slime ball. Gross. No it was crazy because it was my first time. Touching him with. Weird because I'm just touching my belly for nine months. Dang I'm touching him, but then actually touch him and it's like that's where. He, sleeping all week is Asom. Oh. Yeah Whisk. The crazy thing was first of all water didn't break until she was giving birth. So there was like a crazy water break. And then Did you see the Boza called plus and the placenta come out I didn't see it. Oh, my God. We didn't see it i. wish we got to see I, saw it was wild and shit really alien stuff. They just take the umbilical cord and. This organ out of her. Crazy. Healing it though I remember. I remember. To okay. Now, you're giving birth to the placenta along. Did you guys way too fucking again? Oh We did it like two weeks after. So Ella had like. She she got. Her. Tour. Sorry. So we had to do some stitching and it took a little longer. I think than it should have. I don't know. made it sound like I had just like one little tear but then she was stitching me Fox. Did. So I don't really know that. Theodore guy you good on the way out. But so actually, I don't remember 'cause. Field kind of slow because of that. Yeah. Two weeks. There you go. Yeah. We weren't supposed to we did. Then, we're asking what did they tell you like a month? They were like, wait a month and then we went six weeks. Oh, six weeks, and then we were in the In the doctor's office and I was sitting there and the doctors talking and I was just like we had sex. Is it okay Anyway all right give me are you are you guys planning another one? What's going on? We set we said that we wanted to. have another one really quick. But we kind of think we WANNA chill for a little bit. Where we're liking the only child vibe right now. But I mean we'll have another one. Yeah we're still a lot. That's that's good. Yeah, I love you. So at that big old white girl booty. Up. It's weird. Really are you taking contraceptive if you're not trying to have a kid now she's she she wants to get like I you D or whatever which kind of freaked me out because I'm like what if there's a problem with? For why again does last for a while? No, we're just you know. We we don't use contraceptives and it's in God's hands. You know what? I mean every time. Well now since since Theodore was born. Yeah. Wow that's crazy because we kind of just go by that like first couple of days after the period. Bull, but the thing is the Age You know what I mean. She probably will get pregnant a lot fucking easier than Eli. That's true. I'm I think I'm. Much older, right? Like she's twenty one. Yeah. Two, three two because it says, when do when you're that age, you just breathe on someone and they get pregnant. True it's that's happened. I was like hey. And it happened Yo Ella. So you're you're you're our favorite. Of the threes. Are you. Kidding but no, seriously, we love you and I should have talked about this. My wife was here. Bro We watched the videos all the time for your reaction because I feel like I feel like Ethan is the best commentator but the way you react shit is hilarious. That's her way. Maybe it's opposite when I mean is like, no, no you. Define Rosebrough like I'll never forget when. We do this all the time. Like I mean we already have. In any way you know what I'm talking about my what was it about when they were like you can't say Nazis. Can't be throwing that word out there when we're doing the Seinfeld reaction yeah and. I was like. Because because I'm a nicer if what I'm saying like funny or not or if I shouldn't say always like, yes, I said like wasn't sure if I should say it. Because I think there's already an and. I remember that line but I don't remember the Veil I. Forget the Shit we've made it this. Is it the one where they make fun of Seinfeld Yeah. It's ridiculous. That's my favorite S. The number one thing really shows. There wouldn't be okay today or. Yeah. Bro You kidding. It's like one of the best one. I could see myself wanting to make a video about that because I'm very defensive about Seinfeld I don't have any tolerance for people that say they don't like Seinfeld I. Don't I just don't accept that I don't get it either it's like, yeah. How do you not like curb? You know what I mean like what are you talking about? These are day early is. That's why I love the reason I love Seinfeld is because if you really notice i. mean it's so genius every day don't there's no. Cell phone or this like it's not things like based on current, Shit? It's to me. It's like I watch it and it's something that could easily happen today. I just remembered they were saying soup not their record. And they. May Not. Yeah. No, the guy was like. Throwing that word around these days and you just destroyed him uber like what what you? You were like. Their New York City Jews can't say the word. This crazy and I'm like dude. You're right. So funny I didn't know that that was a thing it really came as. A. By the way the soup. Nazi. Yeah Watch Seinfeld. I, mean come on. So. Yeah we honestly we. Like we love watching your videos. We check every day. Before we go to bed to see if there's a new There's new video on Youtube. There's not. I know. I'll I'll ruin the surprise I know it's demanding though I, get it. Well, for me, it was just. Really hard to find content to make for the for the Shushi productions show and I didn't want to just force it, and like ultimately when you you've just force it, there are some people on Youtube who do commentary that are really wholesome and nice like Drew, there's these guys drew goodman and Danny Gonzales that make really good wholesome commentary content that I like. and Gus. As well, but for me, I, just didn't WANNA fall into this pit of becoming the cynical fucking asshole that just shits on everybody but that's awesome like. Point. But it's not for me. It's not like you're really that I don't think you're that. I. Think you're I think you're the voice in everyone's head who watches the bachelor or something like You're the guy though it's funny. It's like it's a joke. So. I, don't I. Don't like clowning on people that don't deserve it or who I feel. Don't deserve obvious that's subjective and I think a lot of. A lot of my early career was making fun of these pranks and Shit and the obviously scumbag lower Fox just deserve to be said the worst things about so that made it really easy to my job in that sense. So then was it hard to do skippy because he's just like so horrible and sweeties and yeah EXAC. But well, skippy was okay because I feel like it wasn't a mean-spirited video and it was really of funny subject. Matter. But. It's more about like maybe youtubers who everybody's shitting on and I just WanNa make a video about them. No I don't think that I think like reactionary videos I've seen your sub read it when I'd gone on when I first discovered you and a few years ago. and. There was a lot of well after I met. You guys I don't think anybody even knows how we met. We should get into that but A lot of your fans actually really have great ideas of stuff that you can commentate on. That are even just as funny as like old eighties infomercials that are like really weird like low key white supremacist shit on TV like mainly. Yeah. Well, yeah. It's just another problem is that it's so hard to know if if it is good or not, and then while shoot the video and then like the sucks and it's just so demoralizing. I, don't know. It's time I think you're I. Think you're funny and I also don't think you should ever force it and you should do what you want when you want how you want. It doesn't matter what? kind of got do like just an overall negative thing where the. Process wasn't fun for us, and then also there was a lot of criticism. Kind of like what you were filling I guess and. How you describe that you just were done with it you just totally. Album. Yeah. We just kind of got to that point with those videos. But you've also. Given people literally years and years and years of that at plus variety in your videos. You don't own nobody shit. That's the funny thing I think is yes, we are. Servants. As far as being entertainers like we do own something to the people but like to an extent, you know what I mean like if you're not happy doing it. Then don't do it. That's how I feel about music like making music for. Concerns like like. Mainstream consumption and shit like that does not appeal me. I've been going back and forth if I should drop this free mix tape. Where it's just me rapping on a bunch of famous beats that I love like we used to do back in the day. EXCITES me that makes me so excited to be like, no, no one is in their right. Mind would even like review this and if they do that cool whatever it doesn't matter but it's not. On, spotify, it's not here. It's not there. It's going to be some shit dropbox link than I would like tweet out like. Also I like. Music. Yeah dropbox link. On Youtube or some shit. You guys remember how we met. Yeah Right. Yeah. Justice House goes really funny because so justin. He was telling me I didn't know about your music and then Justin was telling me that you were in Rick and Morty. and. He was telling me about your music and that's how I discovered you. And then It was at his birthday party or something and and then I then I recognize you I don't remember there was also another well, we we got it from two angles one and then Mac. Where we went we went to. We went to show. Marco. Didn't know but yeah, exactly. I because we're friends with MAC and he's like I'm going to this dude logics concert we saw you at the Greek. Oh Yeah and then Abi got shit faced. No. He told me that night because he was gonNA come hang out of my house afterwards because we were in l. a. and he was like Simen puked all over my driveway. Before that. It was awesome. Well, so we went it was really fun because we went and we were just having a good time and You're playing Mario Car shut, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. onstage I actually went I went thirty six. Oh, on that whole tour, we did like thirty six shows in every night I invited either a fan or. A stagehand somebody who who's working on the show backstage at fucking one every. Pretty good. Might be ready for the pro circuit. Yeah totally but I think when we came to the show, we never actually got to see you and then I think that was. Happened first and then we saw you adjust in his house. and. Like. Yeah are you Oh. Really. That's when how it happened. Oh Yeah you're right. One hundred percent. because. I was actually single then because I had just separated my previous wife and then I was there and Yeah that was crazy. That was like one of the first time. I would like just kind of been out alone. Host is to be around people. Yeah. It was pretty cool. But you guys for sure were really sweet and I just remember being like who the fuck are these people like they're so nice and I yeah I thought you guys like we're just really cool and then I go home. No for Real I. Thought you're so cool and then go home and then I'm like. Oh, my God. This is amazing and I just like. Watching videos. Well you make me WanNa make videos again us I want you know it's like it's so nice. No the people watching enjoy it because I feel. I feel I can relate very much to your Your struggles as a creative because I feel like we we get a lot of there's so much expectations on the old me that know me and people want me to do it this way and that way this video is not funny in that video. Funny. I saw this comment. We made this video on. The was on the something virgin. Was it? Oh, that's that skippy. Yeah. So they go. Some commented like all the old good old golden years. which I found so funny because when we were making that video people already shitting on me for having changed. And saying, they missed our old videos. Bro. When I've released my first album, it was this sucks. This is terrible. You sound like Kendrick and drake and Jay Coldness net. This is not as good as your mix tapes. And then I released my second album and people were like this fucking garbage. You did a whole album about space. This is nerd shit nobody gives a fuck about this. You have no place in your pop is worse than your debut album. Then I did my third. Album in one eight, hundred was on it. How you sold out this garbage and then you fast forward now at people are like Joe, your first second album. Dislike. Whole time you yeah, exactly. So it's funny. You're doing those things thinking you're not good enough and you're like trying to impress it's really funny but when it comes to video to dude like. I'm sitting on so much music might I'm sitting on I? Mean I have ten thousand plus songs right. But those are I would say Jordan or Lebron shooting in the gym like there weren't cameras there. You know there's a shit ton of Mrs. There's also some really good gold there But even now, like the new music like I haven't actually written a song in a long time but. I, will I have this whole nick state basically that I'm sitting on and I'm wondering I WANNA, Finish it for fun and just say this to say that it's kind of almost view it like that. Where if you do wanna make videos, don't don't second guess yourself. You guys are really really really funny and at the end of the day, it's like the. Last. Of US like I remember there was that whole everyone was like pissed off about the game do you remember that? No so there's this video game called last of us and very long story short. It's I love it. I fucking love it and I thought it was amazing and people could be like Oh because I'm in the game in the video game. But. That's not why a like. Garbage I'd be like Yo. This sucks thanks for the check. You know what I mean but like. So I'm not biased in that sense. It holds a place in my heart for sure. But I just say all this to say like there were people who were shitting on game before it even came out and then still spend sixty dollars to play the game anyway, and it's like. These people who save things about you me any anything when it comes to art. They just they love you. They are obsessed with you. You know what I mean and so for somebody to say these things, you shouldn't let it affect. How you create and it's funny because only once stepping away and really being like fuck y'all out of here. Did I personally realize that? So I say that to say. that. If you guys ever just woke up one day and was like, let's find some really funny shit and react to it and you did that you also don't have to put it out. You can sit there and save it. You could fuck and do twenty videos just because you love it because it's a Sunday afternoon in you have two hours free or whatever you know what I mean, and you just kind of have a good time and just enjoy it, and then if you ever want to release it, you kind of have that in the in the bag. So. Just. Do It for fun. I will say though like. What you perceive as negative personally if it is negative if you sit there and go. These videos were making r like mean. Okay. Cool. If that's how you feel about it I personally never saw it that way I almost saw like a real life. Fontana Oh rob out like. Funny Shit, like you know this chicken La in love with an amusement park. What the fuck is that like that is hilarious. That's really really funny and I think yeah. If you focused on that unless like you said any drama or Youtube Shit like fuck that even though not to get into it, I don't want to get into it. That came stars you. Let's leave it at that. I thought it was funny. I. Thought is layers. Anyway performance you love. You love me fuck. All life is so short like. I think it is I do fantasize about like. Sometimes I I swing back and forth they fantasize about coming back and making a bunch of videos on h three, but then I always hate it when I try. Why Because it's exhausting. In what sense? Actual work or more. So trying to please this fictional person in your head, that is the viewer before they even see it. I think I'm just always disappointed for the most part by by the process and everything. But why? talk it out. No Rush. I think I put so much. The thing on youtube is like. It's people really put a lot of content and that's like a way to succeed on Youtube. The thing is we tend to put a lot of work into our videos, but it doesn't necessarily show. And so I'll just put a video out and. A lot of times I'm not happy with it and I just feel the the negativity and then the video doesn't do as well as I hoped, I'm just like aw fucking none of that has to do with art. It's the same thing I was going through like I. I. There was a time where I was looking at like Travis Scott and a j Cole like how many likes do? They have on post and this and that, and all this other shit and wctcam I looking at these other people that I fuck with respect and I'm comparing myself to them. You know when you're thinking about like numbers like, okay. The songs out Oh but it only has twenty million plays in a week or man like what? The what twenty million plays or this it none of that Shit. It it's all bullshit dude like you have been conditioned and trained into believing that. That's what matters and the funny thing is. There's a apart in time in your careers and mine where it did matter you needed to to like put the acid seats, sell the tickets, do the numbers in order to be successful but you guys are ready successfully you went from the young up and coming funny little secret just like I did to this gigantic company a-walking fucking brand, and because of that, there's all this pressure that you still have to be as good as the fucking. Kid who plays minecraft and gets like fifty million views and the like Nah like you're in a completely separate thing and at the end of the day, you should only be doing it for the love and that's why now when I. If if if there's a a do twitch or if I post something on instagram or this or that Bro, you don't even want to know the level of separation to six degrees of separation that I've created bro. I want to know about. So if you want to post on Instagram, what happens? If I want to post on instagram. There is an email thread with seven people on it. I'm. Not. Even joking. Everyone has job. and. They double check spelling the caption. Do you want it on the main instagram? Do you want it on your story? Do you also want it on twitter? Should we post this on facebook? They did it or whatever the case may be I'm like. Fuck I'm like just post shit like I don't care, and then I'm like, don't tell don't I don't WanNa see comments don't talk to me about comments don't start that. Shit I just WanNa know that at least giving my fans something because I appreciate them and I love them. So I don't know here's meeting Spaghetti or something. It's just like like enjoy this now there's that. fucking twitch. I don't I barely. Sometimes. I look in in the chat because it is positive. It's really not that sob only it's pretty good. Yeah. But it's also on a like the slow where you can't. Type but even that it's A. So, what I have to do is I my buddy just and he's right next to me right now and he'll go through my twitter and he'll go through the the sub chat and screen shot and send those shots to my phone where I don't have a instagram twitter reddit anything nothing there, and he'll personally send me those and then I, have to go through in select which ones that I wanna see. So this also is like I. Don't have to hear things like, Oh, you're. While, and all these like mean-spirited things you. Can say especially on twitter and the reason I love this is because it kind of encapsulates. positively in the sense of if I'm not seeing the negativity, it's not going to affect me. and all I can do is be happy when giving that content to to the fans. So it's really crazy to think about that though because when I first started, it's like I. was able to literally just be on my phone and talk to people and have a conversation, and now have people like like towards the end of the why I got off social media is because I would talk to a fan. It'd be like, Hey, I love you so much and then somebody would like drop the F word or this is whatever the fuck you know what I mean say these really. Mean things I mean I I used tweet out every day not that it's not. I don't do this because of that I just now people know who like peace love and positivity. That's literally my slogan that's my thing and I would have so many people comment back war hate negatively what? GNARLY I just said. Yeah I to be surprised though. Has Your perspective changed all the whole Love peace positively because it used to be like I think like you were touching on. There was a kind of a aspect of forced positively when you were in front of a camera or when you're talking about yourself, pretend like things were all good. Do. You think that your perspective on that has changed at all. No, I'm still a big advocate I think Oh. I just wanted to be a driving force to do everything that I could to put that out there even on my own dark days you know what I mean so. It never felt fake or. Like it wasn't from the heart, it always was and I think that's why when I was down in the gutter or going through what I was going through personally I pushed even more because. I knew that if I needed to hear that someone else out there needed to hear so I would I would really push that not that I don't anymore I. totally do it's like my thing but I kinda like it's like biracial like we get it. Be like everyone knows who I am. They know things. So it's not that deep like but yet that was that was hard you like. The, hardest my life has ever been was when I was rich and famous in this is a from a kid who was broke on hse welfare food stamps parents on drugs. You know I've been kidnapped physically beaten Yeah just GNARLY GNARLY. The Senate again, the GNARLIEST Shit has happened to me in my life. and. It does not compare to. What I went through as a as a famous. Wealthy person which is so stupid but. It's crazy actually I think it was more isolated. I was able to deal with it. I never questioned my race or who I was. Everybody knew who I was. You know what I mean. It's like you said with your tick like Oh. Yeah. Have Toronto everyone's I cool. They're you know they're like Oh. So why boy and I'm like Oh my dad and they like, Oh, you would rather okay. Cool. That's like that. We see. The thing you know. which is, which is pretty crazy. I'm writing my autobiography right now. Yeah, it's fucking insane like the things that nothing yeah. Yeah Would you say I said a that would be an interesting read for Oh man Yeah I'll send you I'll send it to you early but it's like I'm in it. I'm in the thick of it. I'm still in my childhood and we've been working on it for like six months. And Yeah I, know it's It's insane and I and you WanNa talk about a imposter syndrome like I read this and I'm like there's no way I was cooking crack as a teenager on a stove. Are you talking about you know what I mean like there's no way I was holding guns and pounds of marijuana at eleven years old in Takoma, Park in southeast DC in the fucking and hood running from the police no way, and then I'm like, yeah, I mean. I've never. I've never I. Don't you know my life is not fallacy now it's just I've always been honest and. and. That's that's actually really weird thinking about that shit like. I can't believe it I literally can't but and you look at me and I got my glasses and peace-loving. You don't strike me as a crack dealer. But I do think though I've ever dealt. That was my brothers. But I did cook the chef. I'm the I'm Ray Kwan Baby. So I think it's interesting though because. You strike you strike me as very wholesome kind of guy and I think it's interesting statement on just being the victim of circumstance doing shit the survive but like. You know. I think people tend to look at people like that as bad people. But it but I think when you separate someone from the circumstance of birth and this needs to fight to survive, you can really see people like see us so much different than how I would have seen you as a person back then. Yeah, it's funny. drake just came out with this song Forget what the fuck is called little dirks on it. Now, crater. Damn turn your mic down. But. Yeah, you sound like the Voice of God. Drink has some line on it about never being embraced. Hours like damn like if he feels like he's not embraced by hip-hop and he's like, that's true. Correct. I mean, it's true. He does he does and the funny thing is when I look at my life. You know surrounded by drugs. Parents Addicted to drugs you know seeing gang violence and prostitution and. You know police all the time addiction letters being homeless. It's like I am the poster child. For the underdog that made it, you know what I mean and yet I think based on how I carry myself how I speak the things I'm interested in like manner and fucking sci-fi and all this other shit and that's a big part of why wasn't accepted. But like who is accepted like the motherfucker on the block shooting attack nine talking about I'm GonNa. fucking. Kill the baby in this bitch stomach and the drive by love like you know what I mean like. Okay. Like what is What is that? You know like it's it's not about. I think that negatively and that's when I realized stepping away from hip hop that I'd always been accepted by. hip-hop for sure I mean I have songs with Tang clan and I'm Texan Erico by do and I'm talking to the risen about this and that and and DJ premier fucking hanging out and joking on clown in each other you know what I mean big Daddy Kane I could go on and on with these legends that I met that just show me so much respect and I'm like these are the people I love and appreciate, and they've always embraced me I. think it's this like. Concept of. Like I remember the source magazine gave Eminem like one Mike or something out of five mics the back. Then it was like he was pissed off and. Rightfully so is albums were really amazing especially back then in that time but that acceptance in a culture when you look at a lot of the people who are accepted, it's almost like how long do they even really last, right? That's what's funny in that in that circle But I love hip hop and I've always loved hip hop in. It's just a weird thing to Kinda here drake say that and I'm like no one is immune to it. You know I've had some I've had some thug rap and Gangsta motherfuckers call my phone and be like I don't live this life. At all like sure I. There was a time when I was around it but I never shot nobody I've never but I feel like I need to perpetuate this lifestyle on the record so that I can sell records and that if I don't then I'm just going to be a nobody but I also feel like the fact I'm wrapping these things are bringing that negative energy towards me and all this shit and I'm like man I'm so glad I'm rapping about like cowboy bebop and Shit right yeah. It's It's a crazy place man, a lot of it is fake. You know and it's just like a fake extra background and a lot of Israel. You Know J. J.. Cole is like that's like my brother man that dude is so honest. In so real with what he talks about, and he's never really put on a front. I mean besides like his mix tapes where he's kind of like we all do it where he's like, i. got this bitch and she bad in double-blind. But. That's that's the big L? Like I. Don't know if you guys ever listened to big L. or even reasonable doubt era Jay z like there's something about Braggadocio in hip hop that is just like systemic like. Everyone does. BITCHES WANNA fuck me but I'm reading enemies did. Something, it's really weird. Drink. What is it about this? That people need to front like they're killing people and selling drugs and all this shit. You know what I mean Well, here's the thing. Right if you take somebody like two chains or different people who've actually done this at the end of the day thorough, they're still rapping about their lives so It. It is bittersweet because I don't fuck with like negatively or promoting fucking gang violence or any of that other shit but it also is a way of life. You know. So if that's all you know, Compton and the street or whatever the case may be in a family that embraced you regardless of literally what the color of their flag might be more than your own fucking parents you know that either weren't there for you or are a crack baby and nobody ever gave about you and then your eleven and you join. A gang of people who really actually do become your family now even though there might be involved in some illicit shit or whatever it's like. This is low key with like White America doesn't understand like they don't understand that this is what you were born into and it's all you know and you never even really have an opportunity. There are a lot of people in the hood who are super woke educated doing great things not everyone is a fucking criminal at like bullshit races view But when I do hear some of these rappers rap about that, particularly the young kids. They're really doing that if you listen to mob deep, you know prodigy I'm only nineteen but my mind is older like this was nineteen years old in Queens selling drugs like nausea was doing the same thing and but now's was also studying the dictionary in the. And and doing what he could to tell the story of of his hood in a beautifully articulate way. And then through that, he rose above it and Kinda got out of that mind you he still visits and takes of his people and his brother and all that other shit. So I think like. Any young person that I hear kind of perpetuating the gang violence. There's a part of me. That's like a little saddened but at the same time, it's like talk your shit black man like that. That is what you know don't try to. Don't try to act like. That's not the fucking life you were born into like you were born into that and now you're blessed enough to be here I mean, why do you think rappers by chains dog because it's a it's A. It shows that you made it right and even though it's kind of might seem like ignorant to an outside source or whatever. It's like that's all they ever had, and that's all they ever knew and the people that they look up to wore those chains did those things and then I think it takes a very strong a man to make it out of that while truly educating himself and understanding. So like me personally I didn't buy a bunch of chains I. Didn't buy a bunch of shot by Rolex and tosses twenty eight years old and going to the grammys and I was like. My whole life and had been able to afford it for. Six years up until that point. And for me I think allowing. There's just a lot. It's man. It's very difficult when when when trying to discuss this because. Putting down a wrapper for rapping about his life is kind of bullshit. You know especially when they're so young but I, think if you're thirty something years old talking about all. Of We'll put a bullet in US kind of like. An man you've been, you've been in the rap game for five years, and then that's when I get those calls by certain people like that. Who are like you I don't live this life anymore but I and then so you find that they themselves are torn. I have a song on my last album. Oh we're we're going to say. Nothing I think James Kinda stuck in a Rut like music almost artistically where they have the style and then. They're kind of stuck in one hundred percent. I this song called cocaine on my last album that I did before this one and it goes the hook is cocaine cocaine, cocaine cocaine Molly Percocet my re move up like a Dolly if I talk about this shit more often probably. So what I was doing is it was Kinda like a social experiment and doing these things called Freestyle Fridays where every Friday on Instagram, I would release like a second snippet and So that's what I did cocaine cocaine cocaine cocaine Molly Percocet my rep move up right and then he goes into the verse and the verse is a fuck. How does it go? Do you know how it goes I forget? I never fucking with no sneak this best get off my Dick boy you better not repeat this cocaine flip jump into whip cannot compete with a real og like me. You know I get dough like deep dish got the party jumping in Atlanta on FREAKNIK got the party jumping in. ATLANTA DONALD GLOVER I don't want no good girl I only WanNa, Freak Bitch fucker without a rubber like I'm saying all this really fucked up shit right now the cool thing is It's rat from two perspectives. It's wrapped from the perspective of a cocaine drug dealer and it's also wrapped from the perspective of cocaine itself. As if cocaine it's telling the story only fuck a bitch raw like you know what? I mean because it's raw like your nose and all this other stuff. So I put that out. And for the most part people were like, this is amazing like this is crazy like and then you had some people were like logic with the fog you talking about like this isn't you? This isn't whatever right and then on the album, the second verse came up in the second verse is the perspective of that offer who's rapping as this drug dealing guy basically saying What the fuck are the lyrics of God lyrics no, it's like really important I'm GonNa. Look it up for you because sorry I got so much shit in my hand you. Don't play logic lyrics one second because it's very. Okay here we go. Got Him. Dan had so weird I can just google. I don't. So so I'm going to read this to you I never fucking with no sneak disc best get off my Dick boy you better not repeat this cocaine what I flip jump a whip cannot compete with a real og like me. You know I get that dough like deep dish. Got The party jumping in Atlanta like Freaknik at the party jumping in Atlanta Donald Glover. I don't want no good girl. I'm thinking I need a freak bitch I don't want no good girl 'cause your boy he ain't no lover Fucker with no rubber bounceback smoking on some shit so good. I can't even pronounce that short drop it low and make you bounce back smoking on some shit. So good. I. Can't even pronounce announced cocaine cocaine cocaine cocaine molly second verse. Glorify, but the streets glorify it. So I gotTA glorify it before the people throw a riot if I don't talk about it on my album than they won't buy man fuck that listen up quiet they WANNA see a black man fall down they wanNA see a black man lose they wanna see a black man fall down they wanna see us they want more blacks to sing the blues and then I repeat this. Bank don't want to give me a loan from my house. That's why. So bricks of cocaine by the gas station never had a foundation white man's stripped from my people on the plantation. Hope somebody praying for all the salvations even though this is the dialogue inside of my brain on filled with pain but I just can't seem to refrain from cocaine cocaine cocaine cocaine molly now here's what's really funny about the Internet. Is that I've seen a lot of people say that I ruined the song with the second verse that went out and came out and they heard the second the second verse Oh he ruined the whole song. So it's funny to think that me. What I was doing more as a social experiment, which is really wet confessions of a date with that whole album is it was like an experiment to see what would happen if I just made the most ignorant she had fun with it but anyway. It's funny that that first verse. Is bitches, and Pussy drugs in all the shit and then the second verse is what that Person Rapping right this fictional rap character that actually exists in the world is saying I don't WanNa do this I don't WanNa talk about this. You know they want they wanNA fuck and tear the black man down they want to paint us is this and this. And that by me saying that. Real stories whether it's my brother's other rappers of come into contact with who have told me these things and how they felt an me witnessing it tear them apart. Ruin the song. Yeah that's odd. Exactly the message of not you know one judging a book by color, but also of strong. Men In general. But a strong black man wanting to stop that negativities in his own life around ruin the song I thought that was funny. Personally, some people must have liked it though I mean those are the same people in the arena that were screaming really. Because that, that's more real right I feel like that's probably probably more relatable to to who that person might might be in real life. because. You had a conversation with that person who was like good job. This is exactly how I felt. Yeah. What would you say as someone who came out of combat poverty and despair out of the hood and has totally kind of? I don't WanNa say escaped it. How would you describe it? I mean you made it you made it outright. Like from the outside looking in. Now kind of like Whoa. What can we do to like help that situation to make it better because it seems it definitely is like a tale of two worlds here. It feels like A lot of cities or even in the country itself where. There's Like White America, as you described, it just doesn't understand. And can't really understand what is it like to grow up in a hood and I think that's where a lot of prejudice in Racia- racism stems from because you can. You can understand what it's like to grow up there and then. And then you you judge these people based on based on your upbringing right? Yeah I think. It's bullshit I think it's stem racism and it's It's just how it is. It's like these are people who aren't necessarily As educated as possibly be. Because of their school districts and systems and the lack of funds and I mean Shit I was yeah. My school system utterly failed me. told me I could be whatever I wanted to be or whatever I wanted because. They tell you that as a child, they say shoot for the dreams beat you know shoe for your dreams be whatever you want. Do this stars all this other shit and then you do it in they say it's unrealistic. You know what I mean and It's really sad when you see such incredibly smart young people you know that are. Not. Given, the same opportunities that yeah, like some rich white kid. Growing up in a good. County or suburb or whatever is receiving at the same time. It's not that kids fault. You know what I mean that that he has a good education and you know his parents or whatever. It's really about the country not to get all crazy political and other shit but it's like it's about how things have been set up. How certain people of color are just not given the upper hand at fucking all and it's a really sad thing to see. But that's why it's always it's also really beautiful. When you see these amazing people make it out and I don't mean rappers and I don't mean actors I mean doctors and lawyers and You know people who are the real heroes who make a difference and make a change and and make it in their community. Dude that shit is like so beautiful and I think it's amazing but I can't even really talk too much about this because it's like I don't know how the fuck to fixate Bro. Talk to killer Mike Your. I'll take I'll text them for your monthly. That'd be awesome. He's fucking man. He's so cool. I feel like a lot of people don't understand systemic racism like. For me. There's one easy way it's not even maybe this doesn't prove racism as much as like classism when you say local property tax fund schools so when you're in a poor neighborhood. Where the medium house value is eighty thousand dollars. You'RE GONNA. Get so much less money. In a nice neighborhood where the medium house, a million dollars there you go. Just alone you can get ten times more money. So that that, that's fucked up like when you when you just think like poor neighborhoods should these kids should be entitled to receive just as good of education as rich people otherwise, you're just going to perpetuate the issue of of of class. Yeah classes a big big part of it. Right? It isn't necessarily just R- just race it's not the black and the white card it's class but let's just come on Doug Logan sure. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. No. Well when you? And another things like When when you're coming off the back of one, hundred, fifty years of slavery of not having nothing. Take and then, and then another hundred years of state sponsored racism in the form of like Jim. Crow it's like Dude, you don't just. You, don't just acute accumulate wealth and equality hundred percent. That's why that speech at the album for Morrison. Wells. Six. Which still love. So relevant today. Yeah. Man Like I agree and I think. You know it's good to talk about. It's another thing to really like I. Think it's cool that you know you've educated yourself I, saw that one video that you did about. How you are quite ignorant to what was going on and you're you're you're telling the story how you had gotten pulled over Shit and all that you're freaking out and that's that's Real I. Think a lot of people why people are are actually just very ignorant to what is going on and they don't understand it. They literally don't get it because. You. Know. I think more and more now people speaking out It's it's great and I've even I've seen it in a weird way I. Remember when? I remember when the black lives matter really like exploded the movement and it was a very beautiful thing i. then had people being like, why aren't you hashtag black lives matter and like even having little white kids like be like Oh what are you not black enough you're not doing this and I've felt it was really crazy and I called killer mike because I was like Bro. I'm actually making an album about all this that's going on in the world right now this is for everybody and I was like I'm I'm really talking about this but I don't WanNa. Feel like I have to Hash Tags Shit. I WANNA make an album so that it's GonNa live forever and it and just say this to say that it's like I see. I have seen on the Internet work. It kind of is also like. A fad where like the cool thing to do I'm just being real like it's the thing like Hashtag this. If you're like this white suburban kid who has no fucking idea what's going on but then they're not actually doing anything about it and I have that where I've said I think yeah. On a hit my line twitter, bitch. Evil politicians people on twitter bitch and Hashtag it but in real life they never pitching. And it's like that. That's one thing that's like, okay it's cool. Are you know these young kids that? Are Aware because they watch a video and that's amazing like what the fuck are you really like doing though and it's I don't mean you gotTa. Go Out and march on Washington. Shit. But like to actually in your own life like change. Your your perception of how you view people of Color in and you deal with that I think I think it's really important but I think it is happening to hopefully I don't sound like an idiot I'm just Kinda. Point is really valid I think I think it's probably good at least that it's even fashionable but I write that a lot of people. You know it's fun. Howard Stern. I know it's it's to reference another show, but he always has a really good anecdote about he grew up in New York and amongst super liberal people that were always all pro black rights and equality and stuff but he said they were the first. People. When black family would move into the neighborhood that they were the first people to bounce in the middle of the night because black family brought the property value down. So I thought that was always an interesting insight that he was like, yeah, you can. You could say your liberal and CEO of all this bullshit. But when it comes down to it, they're the first people out of the neighborhood. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. Man Tie Times. Times are changing and there's been. Yeah. It's funny because yes. As there had been progress hundred fucking percent, but it's like progress dog like how are we to war in a world where like racism I believe it but there's a part of me that just believes. Change percent can happen. Major major change is happening has happened will continue to happen. But it's going to be a fight for like you have light have darkness. You know where you have good you have evil and and it's it's GonNa be a long fight man but I'm here to I'm here to fight an and help however I can and I know you guys are too and that's or we wouldn't be talking about this right now and that's very good. But yeah. Do you have any reoccurring dreams. Yeah actually recently, I had a dream of. I dream. About Call of duty because playing call of duty. Then I had this weird dream about J. Paul. Really. Yeah and I had it like twice and I forget what was happening he was in jail. and. Like playing chess or something it was really weird. The reason why that happened is because I'd never watched Jake Paul. Youtube video in my life and I, was like Oh man maybe it'd be Kinda. Funny because I think it wasn't something happened. He's got raided. By. Watching your podcast. and. I was like Oh Shit Jake Paul got. rated. Right. So then I like saw that and I just kinda looked into it and then I was like, let me like never seen this dudes videos ever. So let me go look at him and they're just hilarious like softcore Porn Oh. Yeah. It's Like a hater, you know whatever I don't know like just it was like kind of funny and then I saw this music video he did. And he actually can wrap that. Actually it's funny. He can wrap Hilarious know I'm not trying to shoot on Jingle I. Don't know this guy and. It's every day. Bro. was his breakout debut. Of Rapping in the world, it's every everyday bro. Oh that was that's what it is. Now I don't know. I. Just saw this recent one with like a bunch of fast cars and yeah. Yeah. It was caught girls straight at a London I believe yeah something I. Don't know it anyway I just thought it was funny but I, just wanted to do my my research for once on the guy because I heard about him. So I, was just watching all this and it's yeah she's got like all these girls and everything's like Click Bait. But the weird thing though is like that dude does put a lot of. At least I think. So effort into his videos because you can see it's like watching a reality television show like it really feels like, yeah I obviously scripted and he puts a lot of effort into it. I was like sitting there watching it then I was like, okay I'm fucking done and then I go to sleep and I'm like now. You're there. It was. Cool, it was it was like entertaining but yeah, those. Work hard There's no doubt you could say what you want about them, but they do work hard for sure. Are you are you bummed out that you can't toy your new album? Are you Kinda have really I was I took off. That's the funny thing about this is I took off this whole year I wasn't going to do it anyway. Yeah with with my son and my my wife. So I wasn't going to do it anyway, and then even when I do toward, you know it's going to be very different. I'm not GonNa do this big. Eventually. Excuse me down the road I will but. The next tour I do is going to be smaller venues and by small I, mean like. I don't know three to five thousand people instead of fucking twenty thousand people and it's GonNa. Be Me a DJ in a microphone and like cheap background I wanNA just rap I just want to just go out onstage in spit poems in interact. It's I'm literally GONNA. Let people know like if you want to come see me on tour it's not like, Hey, baby good logic concert and pop molly and look at all the lights like that's not happening. Out there and appreciate the music. And that's just what I'm on man I've just changed my whole. My whole vibe like I made my money I. had fun. You're a dad now? Yeah. I really am. I. Love. Dad, bought by the way that song rips. Thanks that was a fun one that was one of the last songs that and then dark place where the last Jedi love bud. Thank you. How how, how How true is dark place because the some of the lines there are pretty. Pretty, DARN Lack of a better word. I. Is it reflective of is maybe an older version of yourself or do you still find yourself in the proverbial dark place? I think that was the last it was like the it was like freezes. Form before his final four before like gold freeze. That was like me At the cost of like creating this album in kind of in the beginning of the album where I was. And then by the end of the album. I wasn't there I think that's why I could write that song and that was originally going to be on that free mix tape I was working on. It wasn't even on that beat it was on like somebody else's. And and then I ended up making my friends. We're like dude, you have to put this on the album and I was like now it's too like. It's too vulnerable. It's to the mass. To yeah, I was like it's I, I feel like I'm whining. And me too I really am I'm glad put it on. So yeah, it was literally the last record that we that we had made and I didn't it wasn't like I was clearing. I literally was turning in the album and then everyone was like dude, it's just so good. You got to put on my voice Y Y engineer everybody was like do it. So I did that and yet those lyrics are very. They were very true at a time but not not not now and but once again, I'm not impervious to You know. Human emotion and all the shit that I talk about in that. Song. Sure we all I'M GONNA. Always feel that way about certain things in my life but when it comes to wrap in acceptance and all this race shit and all of this I've really let it go. As, much as you can as my you know if I hear tomorrow that somebody's talking Shit about me that I've never met or shook their hand on might be like. Wow. That's sucks but I'm also not gonNa let it like keep me up like it used to you know. did you know going into this album that it would be your la like kind of your retirement or was there a specific moment when you're like fucking I'm done with this shit. Kinda just vibe that you I've wanted wanted to quit. For like five years there's been a part of me that wanted to quit. There's a difference between. I. Think quitting in me than retiring I wanted to quit from lack of feeling accepted or this all the bullshit and the drama and the. Exhaustion and the touring the money in the decimals in doing shit because other people in your pocket and. The Shit. Like that made me just want to be like, fuck you like fuck this. I've wanted to make this album for awhile says it's actually loaded answer. It's really amazing though 'cause that you ask that question. So I've wanted to make this for years. There's another album that I had been hinting and alluding to call ultra eighty five, which is like. If you have under pressure, which is my debut, and then you have the incredible true story, the album about space I was always in my head like, okay. I'M GONNA do not pressure, and then I'm GonNa do ultra eighty five, which is the is basically the mirror of those later ten years later whatever. And While I was in the beginning of making this probably like four months in I realized that the only reason I wanted to do ultra ultra eighty five is because oh look. At. Waco is because I wanted I guess to please my fans because I had kind of. Teased Ultra eighty-five albumin. It's going to be my last album and all the ship, and while I was making this album I was like this is it feels good to me. This is this feels like what ultra eighty five would have been. So I'm just GONNA name it no pressure and this is GonNa be it like I. Yeah I just don't I have. No. There's nothing inside of me that. Wants to subject myself to the form of rapid attainment anymore. You've got to be at least a little relief that that. People like it. Oh. fucking. Amazing. It does. It's it's. Yeah it's got film fucking good. It feels great because for so long but here's here's why it's so cool. After. Going through what I did with my last album where it was like. Hated and yet so. Well received As far as mainstream numbers and all that. If I hadn't gone through that. Feeling of like everyone hating me. The reception was brutal man yeah, yeah, it was then I wouldn't have been able to love myself because I was looking for love and acceptance and others to fulfill the void that was there. And when that album wasn't received how hoped it would have been received mind you for me. I was just like I'm just making fucking like Troll turn-up music leg low key. But. After it was received that way. Yeah. I. Spent a year and a half almost two years looking inside what really matters to me. and not about the even the kind of music because it just further proves that I could always make this music and that I have already made this music I did four mix tapes, two albums three what never all this shit before getting to this point where like logic was cool anymore or whatever the fuck because he's not making music for the people anymore and I didn't make this album it's not a spite. Album wasn't like Oh, I'm going to prove everyone wrong. I. Was like, Oh, i. feel like doing this now I feel like actually just I mean, there's only five hooks on the whole album there's fifteen tracks there's it's just open journal. It's just bars on bars on bars bar. It isn't destructor structure like Hook Verse Eight Bar, Bridge this which I've done it has been successful. I was like this is literally just poetry. And it's funny. That I do I did it and then everyone's like he's back like this is it. This is amazing but it's like, I, didn't go anywhere. All those lyrics, all those wraps. All those things were a part of me. But I was just doing other things I was trying to do other things. So I wasn't in a box but did it feel good? Yes and the reason I say all this is I wasn't on the Internet at all. I didn't know what the Fuck anybody was saying about me I didn't know how it was being received right at all and then you know my manager people are like IOS kind of going. It's GonNa go and we did you know two hundred, almost two, hundred twenty or whatever the fuck thousand. Units in the first week, which is also amazing. But that's not why I did it. You know. But it just it feels really good to know that I did something from my heart and then it was also. So you know well received. By the people but the funny thing is, is I've got songs over here or I could have done another album that I just have sitting on here of like pop esque Post Malone type shipments being real right now he gets his own hate and his love to, but I could have done some shit like that which would have gotten way more numbers and made me way more money. I'm not I'm barely making any money on this album because I mean, that's pretty no not even that actual album umbro has like thirty plus samples right. You have people use this part for three seconds. Okay. That's forty five percent. On that same song you use this for a four point, eight seconds that's twenty percent, and then I have to split between us. It's like a whole thing but I didn't give my team was like Yo you know you're not gonNA, make any money I my lawyers like can't we just change it or do it originally and I'm like you have no idea. This is the about the I. Don't give a fuck about the money they make it so hard to actually care about the art though it's the same on. Youtube in a way. Where it's they make it tough man I'm glad you did it that way. Thanks yeah. But yes. So long story short. It feels incredible till they kinda go out like this because. It's It's what I could honestly was this. It's so funny though this reception is the reception I always wanted in hip hop. And? It's funny that it's like when I'm leaving. Yeah and I think though and I didn't plan it this way if I did, I, would have sold it on retire of this is. Bugging gone off and try to sell it. That's why I kinda wanted to underplay like yeah leaving and here's my reasons take it or leave it fuck off. It doesn't I know the truth in five years when you're like he's coming back. You know what I mean like I'm not gonNA come back But was I saying, I just forgot what was I gonNa say before them. Oh. Getting the reaction always wanted it feels like. Know. For the last few years and hip hop it's like. Oh memes and let's make fun of logic and it's like the thing to make fun of me because I was so popular known. And then when I'm like hey y'all lieven. Then, people are like, oh Like not only can we not make fun of this guy anymore but in a way it's like. He's just been a source of entertainment. It's a low hanging fruit. It's easy to make biracial joker fucking. So player of this or that or whatever the case may be. Dan This toots really going in like he's how I found hip hopper I discovered him when I was twelve years old and now I'm fucking twenty two Oh my God this is crazy. It's almost like it's a posthumous album without the death in a way. It's weird because people can sense the severity that I am leaving and then I'm being true about it. And because of that I think they went into the album because most people regardless of any form of media are going what can I shit on? What can I should on soon as rather than like just trying to enjoy something. And I think people really went into it like okay. I want to enjoy this album from logic. I haven't really necessarily like the last few things he did and I've talked with it personally or this or that mind you this loud minority this this group or whatever. But. I really want this to be good and then they sit down and they listen and they're listening for the positive and the good in it and it just so happens I killed the fucking out and so they into. So this is it. You're saying right now there's no in five years logic comeback with the new album you're not. Sure, you just need a break for a little bit. Are you going to? Is there any chance of returning? Okay. So this is the thing like no I'm not coming back on retired. Dad Shoot guns act and fucking movies, and maybe like work on soundtracks or something or maybe go fucking make my own guerrillas. You know what I mean like as far as like logic your own guerrillas. Yeah. Like you know the guerrillas, the Group of Band Oh? Okay. Damon Auburn. Yeah. He's. He's the guy from Blur. Do you know that Band Blur? I don't but I understand. Don't know. that. Guy Created the guerrillas I and. In a way it's like if I could just focus more on production and like just bring other singers or other rappers in of fun stuff like that, like I love music and always make music and I want to find ways to be able to release music but as far as logic robin about. A Yoga made it in a struggle in my life and all this shit and logic logic has done a. You've taken it all the way that you can the Dow. More Persona. Yeah the only thing that could be fun to do. I. Think about this. I've talked to Mad Lib. Do you guys know who mad Lib is? Madly. Is like a legendary producer? He's like a living J. diller. If you will I'm sure you might have heard of J. Diller. Producer and You know we we. We've actually talked about doing an album together. which could be fun like when I think about that that's different. But the only reason why would even think about that is because when madly doesn't album with anybody, they become a group. So I wouldn't I wouldn't be me. It would be me a part of this thing with. Creating something superfund the idea of that one off kind of project where I would actually be rapping again sounds kind of fun. But when we're talking about like logic dropping singles and albums and music videos like that shit is I'd I don't WanNa, do it I have no urge to do it. And Yeah people make the Jay Z. Jay Z. came back and this and all this other shit. It's like okay as a human being right Justin Bieber like never say never you know what I mean but I just have no. I went out season nine Seinfeld Dogleg. Come back like it's there's no reason for me to WanNa do that Michael Jordan came back you just don't know how you'll feel five years. Yeah but I understand what you're saying is like the the logic story is over. that. Make sense to me. And that's what the logic thing is always been like when people listen to logic even in my turnip songs, there's still. That a message juror and I'm like over that Shit, I'm like I've spent my whole career being like you can make believe in yourself peace-loving. Positively Viti? y'All black is beautiful audit shit and it's it's all true. But I'm kind of tired I'm like literally ten years do his thing. I kind of just WanNa have fun and be a dad now like deep. Yeah. That's awesome. Man While you certainly like you said, season nine. You did it did. Although, how does Seinfeld and they go to prison? They go to prison and they have their last conversation between Jerry and George is the very. Dialogue for the first episode ever in. They're talking about the amount of milk weather talking about this button. Yeah. Yeah. It's pretty good but you did that to with the reference to the first album. So we got a full cycle. Thank you did a good man I. Love that album. Happy you I appreciate it. It's letting all that shit goes just like I wake up now. And I just. Like my my my biggest thing now is like damn I'm not like working out as much. Shit like that like but even that in itself like getting all yoked. I've always felt like a very weak weak weak weak person and not even like physically inside I felt like a weak person because my physique was also the scrawny tiny little guy and then I got one hundred, eighty pounds of fucking muscle and I realized. None of this makes me any strong. And then it through that I've found strength. And you realize like it's just about being healthy and it's like, Goldman I As, long as I'm healthy. That's all that matters and working out like fucking annoying sometimes but I think you I, think you get in his own you either like one to work. Are you don't but I just haven't been in a workout? Mood still work out like minimum twice a week I try to hit three days a week and even that. Good. Any Cardio. But then also hiking and shit cause I'm hiking out here in Montana. So that's that's really that's fun me and my wife will go out and ride the dirt bikes around. So I'm still getting exercise, it's just not like. My therapist she tells me once again I'm too hard on myself. You know like all your also new dad and I think dot com. Constantly, tired I feel like. I am exhaustion. But these are the things that. Honestly I'm happy to focus on the him like, yeah, you know and it's so funny because it's like well, who do I need to be? Jack to fucking Hugh Jackman for like. My Wife's like your Dick Works and I think you're hot. That's all. I'm joking but no, it's like I. Just WanNa look good for her and she thinks. I'm handsome and that's all that matters to me. You know and that's how I feel about her I think she's a beautiful woman like. You know she doesn't need to be act crazy shredded or anything or this, or just like take care of yourself. You know and do the best that you can i. think that's important. So I've just been focusing on that. Kind of jealous of the leaving, there's a whole phenomenon of people leaving La. No. Lot of like a comedian medians and artists and people just in general again, obviously your road. I get it. You know. I feel like I'm I'm forced to live here because of our our career choice in your head song well, well, well, what the what the fashion and with the podcast like right now there's Cova, but I imagine getting people in the studio if I lived in Montana, like nobody's GonNa come month year but also look at this dude like really looked at this. It proves that like especially if somebody gives a shit to even if you shipped out in pay like Bro. You could totally do it. You could have somebody with a DSL are type of camera or Sony I mean show up you pay for a ticket for somebody who with all these guys are like not meet don't send me fucking all. But you do that and you literally have them set it up what Ryan seacrest does Dude I've sat down with Ryan seacrest he's in New York. They cut it a certain way to make it a real. Yeah. Like you're in the same studio. And the audience doesn't know that you guys are in the same. I mean, they probably do you talk about it and he says that, but it doesn't come off that way because I didn't. Even. Think about that if you have somebody there with a camera. Camera and an SM seven hooked up through an Apollo through a Mac book or something just to capture the audio you have great quality but I think Corona has proved. That you don't need. You don't need this. You'RE GONNA. have. Here. Watching this, you're gonNA have your fans. Everyone's going to be happy and excited I'm GonNa, give you going into the covid we were like, all fuck we gotta go in our basement. We can't have guests and and I was very skeptical about having guests on on zoom but I can't say I I like it. I don't I I actually think it's kind of Nice and a way of feels more casual. That's true where it's more gas being with them in the so it's different. You definitely get different energy but I certainly don't i. certainly like it a lot more than I thought I would. Yeah, and it doesn't even have to be like that forever but it's just we give ourselves these these excuses you know you could say, oh, with fashion line of have to be here because the office and then you know the people that I work with and art direction and at all this other shit or you could do what you're doing now and you're still working on clothing and you're still getting the job done. You're still doing it like this just should almost proved that you can be as happy as you want to still do that like, yeah, me acting. I was talking to Joe because we're shooting the show and I I, have to go back to La. So. What I gotta travel sometimes like it's kind of cooler that way then you then you appreciate it and then you know and you look. Do you have a ton of land a Your House I'm on Acre I DIDN'T WANNA DO Not Crazy I didn't WANNA do a like a big because I'm in this neighborhood I didn't WanNa do middle of nowhere. Yeah. Because it's a little spooky. Felt like broke my leg or something. Just, like you're. Half for you. Know, fucking. Yeah. Like I l I like living in neighborhoods I like the sense of of community knowing that somebody's there. It's dope though it's pretty cool man it's a nice town and you know I'm just out shooting guns and riding my dirt bike all day so. It's it's so fun man it's like a vibe. Retirement. Sounds good I don't know when I'm GonNa get it but. You can get it whenever you want for the these are things that we ourselves broke because like. Here's the thing you can't not create both of you guys. You're artists like you can't not. So that's the funny thing when I was telling myself originally like I want to retire when I retire when I retire I was also scared that that meant like no more income. I'm not going to be able to think about the people you guys employees and work with like it's scary to be like, oh well, if I'm done, they're done what the fuck are. They GonNa do first of all what are you going to do you know but it's first things first they're going to be fine. Guys. Can you please not sell them on his nominal? Never find another job if you if you fucking died or killed yourself, everybody would be fine young men as unemployable. Would I mean is is that all these people can still work with you? Do you know what? I mean like it doesn't it's not the end of that because that's what I thought I was like Bro have employed guy right next to me right now that I like he has a daughter and I I know that I pay him every cent that he makes to support his family. That's just one person that's like deep that gives me anxiety to think about then but I still have to selfishly go. Well, I don't give a fuck like I have to be healthy happy to hear that the and focus on and focus on me. But if I'm all those things, I'm still going to be creating honestly be crea- be creating as an even better version of myself to ensure that he gets a paycheck as I say if you ever want to step away. You guys are fine. You'll be able to continue to employ them and do whatever the fuck that you wanna do man just like if you're not happy, they're not happy Brian. Lamb happy I, don't WanNa give that impression that's not happy getting away stepping away from the h three stuff that was making me unhappy. And the podcast I really like working with these guys and having this whole kind of community I love We're kind of I just want to figure out how to get make it better and make it more engaging and just like I want to keep it going for years to the point where I, just I'm super unhappy with the product still and I know this is all you have to do like literally people tune in to watch better I just want him to be better, but it's great. It's great. Like your therapist gives down. Like that we're now on our selves. Sucks. Interviewer, and like no, you're not you're asking incredible. Bro We've talked about race relations depression anxiety health happiness things that make you literally I think because we're friends it's a lot easier to talk to you. I have a really hard time talking with like people kind of cold and I just sometimes the interviews are just fucking fuck jobs people don't book those people. Lesson. Here's another thing. Don't get me wrong it's like. You know. Sure. Book a big. person every once in a while because people are GonNa, WanNa see that about that. But dude like I can't tell you. There's a lot of people that you guys have interviewed together and I'm like who the fuck is this person I don't even know who this is. That's the point you want to I want I watch and I listen to discover New People in new things and it doesn't matter. They're fucking. You Know Angelina Jolie famous or you know they made a youtube video that has a couple of million views. It's funny like that that. I'm into conflict of like. When. We have a lesser-known guest. First of all the views are are way less are not always but sometimes, and so that that always just feels bad for my ego point of view, and then also because we have sponsors than day, Bitch when the views are less bulky, whatever that she doesn't matter does just I mean. It does that because that that that that's part of what affects the quality right because. You have more fun interviewing the people that you guys were to interview regardless of us because you there's one thing I love about you because this is how I feel when I'm in a studio, it doesn't matter if I'm making some turn-up trap song or some super deep song. It's always my heart when the song is done mixed and mastered then I go into business mode like, okay. Now, how can I market this and get the most out of it? So the fact that for the most part you guys are doing interviews. With people you genuinely care about is like why we listen you know what I mean. It's just is what it is the thing about it when you have A. Brad Pitt on your show or some wild shit like that. Those aren't your fans really tuning in. That's like Brad Pitt's fans and shit like that and that's cool. But I'll only that's how you grow the show to which other objective, right? So it's tough but ultimately. Ultimately I do think. I'm a shitty interviewer I hate no. I'm just. Kidding. You guys are both fantastic. Each three bitch. Exactly. Like for example, like Zach. Used to be a super fan and now fucking hates me. Najah at all, I love you. Facts actually my golden boy but that's true for Ian and doesn't like me anymore. Yeah in was never a fan he faked it did. Your mic. Dan, would you say Oh, it was just saying that we found out recently that IAN in. Snaked his brother's fandom to get in with us it. Wasn't really the fan. wrote me a bunch of cold emails looking for to become an intern. Saying. He was like a huge fan and shit. But that that's not why he just he was really persist and he wrote really good e so I was like fuck it. Let's give this guy shot. That's cool. We love in but we recently found out his brother's superfan and he didn't know anything about us so fun stakeouts Ben. That's not true. Guys videos. Before I moved. I. Was out. Driving and I was with my wife and my security guard. and. I saw this kid these three little skaters wherein and they were wearing the The hat what's the one? The Teddy for the one with the little Design like this. The Teddy you know what I'm talking about and it's like almost like a quarter a look at it that he fresh it's like to bears rest. Yeah. Yeah. That's my favorite one and you guys get actually gave me one and I fucking lost. Oh, even alone. In. Printed. Well, you're sweet. Now we'll send you a bunch of show. It'll be great. Thank you. So I see my wife loves the to. So we'll share she wears all my shit anywhere. So I see these kids and I'm like Yo do a kid flu. They're like logic and I was like fuck yeah. Let me come on got out of my car and I did a Nollie flip on these kids board and he was like Whoa anyways fun story because I stopped because of the hat they had. I wish could kick flip then people would like me. Right. Well, it's been. It's been great man I love having you on here. Yeah and I'm just so happy I was a really loved the album just so happy that That you were able to get that. Get that. Just I don't know everything you got you know what I mean. It's just it's So happy. The way turned out at the end for you. Thanks. It was a bit of Hera moment. And it's funny because of course, I always cared and I would have loved it. So when I say it's funny how it happens when you don't even care like I always care. But it didn't matter to me anymore and then when it didn't matter it happened. So it means a lot I'm happy. How long have we been fucking talking right now it's been a minute two and a hours or something. Jeez Bro League or No I think it's two and a half. Yes. That's good. No I just WanNa say thank you guys Thank you. Everyone Dan Zach Ian Ethan and Ella for always. Going hard and and and really supply and fans with incredible content and Yeah man seriously like I I fucking love you guys and it really is a team you know and one thing I really respect about you. Both is that you let it be known that it is also a team and you don't just try to like take everything for yourself and that's really a really special in humble of you and Yeah I'm just I don't know. I really appreciate you guys and and. I don't know man. It's so weird 'cause like me and my wife are such fans of you not so nice I live it. Thank you guys so much and you guys are so sweet. For you guys. Have One n Word fucking love that clip dude. All right last minute questions. We've set it all and that set it all we've done it all. A. Date Bobby Hall senior and Junior.
