"Couple times in the last several months, yet love come here, the trees really, really. Well. Come on. Check out the hot deals all the good stuff. They have going on here that Cadillac of New Orleans, Bobby and something we haven't talked about the jersey swap teddy Bridgewater, and alva- Kamera for the first start of, of practice today, that Alba Kamera was wearing the number five teddy Bridgewater, and Bridgewater was running number forty one having some fun. But when they went to team drills ended up switching back, but it led to a lot of questions about Alba Camaros ability to throw a football and Sean Payton pointed out today. I thought this is very interesting. Pointed out that they went back and studied, there was a fourth and three that he successfully converted on a pass at Tennessee. Don't be surprised if alva- chimera throws a pass this year. You think off? No. I mean, come on Christian is a lot of running backs that could throw a far past, especially if they if you a threat to run. Yeah. So you suck up the divas. They come up. I mean, if you're a defender, you see in a wild cat, and he's flowing, right? Are he takes off hard on a sweep? I mean, I'm trying to get quick because I can't you might get you. You're gonna make vulnerable to throw over my head to make truly that play work and try and trick a veteran NFL or or safety or something you can't panic. You can't be like, oh, starting to run this there. Now feel if you could truly like looking to cut, and then you pick up your head and throw, and you get out of because if they missed that one or two steps, then their beat, and it's a one refill if it's not there either tuck and run and throw it out. Yeah. Had the trust factor know Craig. Hayward aren't head Dalton hill. You did it. Yeah. Do. I mean, this is ragweed. But he threw a touchdown pass. It gets up Atlanta. Yeah. Christian date. There's not too many running backs that, that you would have running back when your team that cannot run that play. Even more dynamic with him running it because I think that he'll get the run support. He'll get the linebackers in the safeties flying up to wherever he's trying to get out to outside, our get up the middle. What have you even even a jump pass is not out of the room the possibilities? The bottom line is you get the defense to suck up an in theory, then obviously, if you can run the they have to honor to run, and then therefore throat overhead Bobby Kristian, garic will wrap wrap up our one.

"Dog has LSU gets ready take on Stony Brook Friday night in the opening round of the regional that will be played in Baton Rouge. Bobby Kristian garic phone lines are open. If I were four to six one eight seventy text eight seventy eight seventy Bobby, if we could just quickly, look at the three opponents LSU potentially face in the regional, of course game one against Stony Brook. The sea wolves, they finish thirty one and twenty one over overall fifteen and nine in their conference in they're fifteen and sixteen away from the friendly confines over there in Long Island, and they played some pretty stiff competition. They lost. They were swept by Arkansas and three games this year. That's nothing to be ashamed about, when you consider Arkansas, national seat, Bobby. Yeah. And listen, I, I don't think they as good or going to sneak up on LSU should say, like they did last time. They were number four seed, but hey I still got to play the game. And, you know, they might have old teammates from Stony Brook, the alum come and talk to the president, Rothesay say, man, look we went to Baton Rouge. We took advantage. It's a great environment. The best in college baseball. So just embrace the moment just play lose because the pressures on LSU I mean think about it Stony Brook. I was joking Osaka with Tiba. And it slipped said, I don't know who's LSU playing against slippery rock. No. Not slipping Stony Brook. I mean it's one of those is not even call it a directional school. Let's say a unique school when you think of Stony Brook and, and obviously Christian look southern miss right here in our backyard. Look the proximity the southern miss alumni volume to take a road trip to go to Baton Rouge. I'm sure they're going to have a great following. And then Arizona state all those any team that could jacket. They never out of. A game. But, you know what's crazy? Look at the Pac twelve and Arizona state and you mentioned earlier about UCLA, and we all know how well Vanderbilt can hit the ball, hard UCLA's a better version of Vanderbilt hitting. I mean they're not the typical Bruins squad that the beach you to ball ballgames. They got guys that can make it smokable out of the ballpark, much more formidable lineup than there used to having Bobby for UCLA. I want to go back though, and look at Zona state, real quick and kind of compare where they finished, etc. Thirty seven and seventeen overall that's a really strong record. And that conference sixteen and thirteen in the conference in looking at some of their victories. They swept Notre Dame. Michigan state. I think the sweat, Michigan state and looking at some of their stiffer competition they lost against SE in a series two two two games to one. And also, they lost to Oregon state, who's original host site as well two out of three and they also lost to let me pull it up here, it was Stanford seven three as well. So this, this is a team that is with these upper echelon top sixteen seats baseball in a brand they play well, Christian. You look at a Pac twelve obviously, we all know about Oregon state and argue say baseball, you look at Stanford baseball UCLA, but Arizona state for the older audience, that's, that's old school, top notch baseball. When you go back to the seventies, Arizona state was kicking butt when USC was also dominant a seventies, you and all of a sudden this before skip Berman and all day paying attention to college baseball, Arizona state was up there with UCS fours. Winning national championships. Now, I think the Arizona Wildcats have add six more success as of late in, Arizona state sun devils. But ours, ONA state. There's a lot of tradition and history there when you look at their baseball program, and that's a big feather. And you can't whenever you can lead the nation in home runs. Looking at southern miss the actually have one more victory than the LSU Tigers in the regular season thirty eight and nineteen overall twenty ten in their conference. They've won four straight. It's a confident team if you look at some of the likewise, competition, Mississippi State, they beat them once in a three game series also took care of, you know, in a mid week contest in Louisiana tech, they, they beat they swept Louisiana tech, which was one point rank this season top twenty five in particular had a really good RPI. So this is southern miss team, the golden eagles eagles air. They are not taken lightly either. Well, just think Mississippi college baseball, look good, ole miss rebels but I was a game in. SEC championship between them and Vanderbilt. All of a sudden you think boy, l MRs putting a weapon on Vanderbilt then you maybe checked back in the game. Well, look good issued out eleven to ten then you look for Mississippi State, you know, atop eight Rankin and boy, the state of Mississippi when you look at the programs omiss Mississippi State in southern miss boy that, that speaks volumes would Mississippi State. I mean, the state of Mississippi is done for college baseball. They ran through their conference USA tournament beating rice beating Marshall being rice again, shutting out rice six nothing and then beating Florida Atlantic and last to ball games. They haven't given up a run. They beat Florida Atlantic four to nothing, of course, going back to rice. They limited them six to nothing. So southern miss teen. Oh, by the way, a player, I know well, well on that team hundred block coached him in coach pitch and coached against him for a number of years in the travel circuit. He's a heck of a player rashy going to have a chance to talk to him tomorrow. But so so do you. Coach them up Christian. That good. Oh, no. He's well in spite of your coaching. I think I think it's a ladder. He did well in spite of my coaching. No. I think I had him on a coach pitch team. And, and then he he joined a rival travel team after that. And we matched. And look he comes from a great family. Awesome family. And he's, he's a kind of kid, no, Bobby that. And he was a really good football player at Hawa high school as well. He's a kind of kid though, if you if you punch him in the face, he's going to, he's going to ask for more, he's just tough and gritty. He's just a it'll be fun to watch him in Baton Rouge, for the regional and Christian talk about a tough and gritty. How about the respect that I'd have to say the media, and what they think of LSU and the players, you know, making the final four to pulmonary tournament in Hoover that you look all Bessie tournament team. It ended with three LSU players. Now, LSU had more players honored than any other school. Yeah. Catcher assault, Garza second baseman brand Broussin charge. Stop Josh mccown ago that was innocent. Looking at Smith hitting three sixty Broussard had four sixty two. The look Garza Christian hit a team best four seventy four four doubles RBI two runs now this amazing to me because, you know it's a tough position about toughness. He also started every game catching forty four innings over five days. I mean so that just shows you it is all voted on by the media, you know, LSU making the final four, but to have three players that made all say L SEC tournament team, look, so Garza in particular it's finally started to come around the last month, he's a homeowner home on each of his previous weekend series. He didn't at one in Hoover. But the Auburn series he went seven for eleven in the SC tournament. He went seven for eleven again, he's batting average was once what three or four weeks ago was below two hundred. Right. It's pushed it's bumping three hundred right now. Now, if Sal Gaza remains hot that's the reason why LSU can run to a regional, and perhaps even go on the road and steal one in a super regional because he is hitting so well, right now, wants the power numbers really start to tick up again, and he starts jerking balls out of the ballpark. I love what he's doing at the plate. Because if you go back and look at a lot of hits over the Auburn series and the SEC tournament, their hits right back up the middle or the to the right, the right side of the outfield, right center. So his swing is almost perfect whenever you're hitting the ball to the opposite field in that direction. You're doing some things right? I think Sowell guards is the player ultimately to watch also Daniel Cabrera. Dan, you compare struggled a little bit in the NFC tournament? He's going to get going in an at bat and then lineup because his left handed hitter obviously put when he gets going with the power numbers in the ball to the opposite field, that just makes LSU's lineup so much more dangerous. But if so, we'll Garza he's the key. I think if he stays hot, then LSU can really do some damage in the postseason. Now, Christian Hoban Antoine Duplantis you talking about. A winner. And you, you look what he's done in Hoover of being part of a team in Hoover. An SEC tournament ended his career fourteen in four in SEC tournament. He won one tournament title made two finals and reached the semifinals every season. So just think about being in the thick things and getting done. We know right now is currently three hits away from overtaken any furnace, as far as that hit record. And then I thought was in, because I think Todd Walker speaks for itself would even did the major league level in a greatest players to ever come on LSU and play major league baseball when he hit that triple way with thing was in a six inning down the left field line v. Sixteen career triple break in LSU's, all time triples, record that was held by the great Taiwa gerrad fifteen. Yeah, he's gonna he's gonna surpass, he's likely going to surpass any furnace as LSU's all time hits leader this weekend in Baton Rouge. Three hits away. I mean that's that's one game. For a plant in his career. He's turned in multiple three hit game. So you could see that another another bonus to see history. He's three away from tying four away from passing Eddie furnace. He's a hitter, I mean, and what's amazing is this year's power numbers have gone up prior to the part of this year. He had six months for his career. Now he has eleven in one season. So it's been fun to watch the evolution, I've watched him Bobby time. He was a freshman at LSU, and I'm amazed not only how he hits but how he hits in. Clutch situations with guys on base with two outs getting driving runs in for LSU. He's been big big big for his his entire career over there at LSU has four seasons. And of course, you know, we've talked about, you know, Andrew's than having logged with that with the pitching staff or just a player in general. What is your take right now brand Broussard to second baseman? Look, he batted four sixty two six to thirteen had a double five runs in three stolen bases. But he didn't play in that semifinal loss was engine because. Disalvo injury. Is that something that's going to linger or what do you think? I don't know. I got I can't wait to ask pulmonary that today at five twenty I'm not entirely. Sure. How long that injuries expected to keep him out? But I think it was unfortunate because Brad Broussard was one of those guys that was platoon throughout the season at second base sometimes wouldn't see the field for several days and then towards the latter stages of the season he started to get hot at the plate again. And I think provided he was batting in the nine whole lot or in particular, right before his injury. And I think that pulmonary, his history tells you that he likes to almost think of the nine hole hitter as another leadoff guy, and he fits that, that type fast. He could run he hit you the ball. And the gab gets double singles, not gonna hit a lot of home runs hit for a lot of power, but he kind of fit that double leadoff kind of role that LSU has liked and under pulmonary over the last handful of years. Everyone winning ten game. Games Las Vegas says the Tigers will only win nine and twenty nineteen. Do you think coach, the team will surpass expectations again and the saints backfield will look different this season with Mark Ingram going off to Baltimore? How big of a downgrade is latavius Murray from Mark Ingram. Does it mean more touches for Alvin Kamara and is that a good thing in the long run, and they'll talk all about that, of course, deuce, obviously knows all about that in the backfield? So sure be some interesting talk coming up on sports, talk at four o'clock, this hour, we're gonna talk a little bit about. We're going to change the subject now and change topics. Do you have a problem with illegal immigrants living in public housing, or should it be citizens? Only HUD secretary Ben Carson face. Some harsh criticism from Democrats yesterday on Capitol Hill as he faced questions in a hearing on a proposed rule change. That which strip public housing assistance for illegal immigrants. Some of the most intense grilling came from Representative Carolyn Maloney of New York, who claim that Carson's plan would bring nothing but despair thousands of American families. She said your plan to create vacancies by making fifty five thousand American children. Homeless is among the most damaging proposal, I have ever seen where will they live, and Ben Carson replied. If you read the rule carefully, you'll see that it provides a six month deferral on request, if they have not found another place to live. They can do that deferral can be renewed twice for total of eighteen months, which is plenty of time for congress to engage in comprehensive immigration reform. Those at this becomes a moot point, so you was kind of challenging congress back to say, you guys need to fix all this, now the proposal notes that existing laws prohibits, the government from providing housing assistance to those in the country. Illegally and allows Carson distributed systems from anyone receiving, it improperly now, the current system. Let's families of mixed immigration status received a prorated amount of systems for those who are citizens, or legal residents Carson said that while these families receive assistance, there are other families where every member in the is in the country, legally, who have to spend years on a waiting list to get help. He noticed he noted that this includes hundreds of thousands of children, not to mention disabled people and the elderly, so which way do you side with this. They say most of the families that will be affected reside in New York, California and Texas. So what do you think? And that, of course, is our WWL blue runner Gumbo opinion poll, and if you go online and check it out. Do you have a problem with illegal immigrants living in public housing, you can cast your vote? Yes or no? And those voting right now seventy one percent are saying. Yes, they do and we're going to be joined a little bit later by our guest. Dave Ray he's communication director for fair. He's gonna talk a little bit more about this and why this is being proposed. And how those families are all made up and how they've gotten into. Public housing. All right. Came from legally criminal. Money. I don't care what was that. What's happening in what he's addressing is it's, it's basically dreamer. So people who came here had a kid and the kid was born here. So the kid is a citizen, but the parents may not be the parents grandparents are still living with them. The United States. But if they want to come in legally. Public schools. We gotta pay. They get free food. What people in the United States that a US citizens that need help legal immigrants healthy citizens in the United States. I think that previous call said something about the construction on how much money we waste on that. The saints football fan, Louisiana waste keeping it oil and saints in the City, New Orleans. Actually, the state doesn't pay the saints anymore. They, they haven't paid them in years. Get something from the state of Louisiana. No, they don't. All right. Who built the don't who did the dome? We had FEMA money and the state. But here, again, the state owns the Superdome. Legal immigrants coming into the country. They don't have nobody told you. Gotcha, terry. Thanks. Thanks for holding. All right. Bye-bye. Let's see. Let's go to Eric. Hey eric. Thanks for calling WWL. Thanks for having me. On the eighteen to twenty one which should be. "Here's a Cajun cannon body a bear, and our resident marine Christian Garrick taking a walk in that fourth and final hour wild side. Welcome in Bobby, Kristian garic, minority master control. Can have Joe Sherman athletic director, head baseball coach at Delgado community college joining this just one his one thousand game thing about that. I know people might say, I it's community college doesn't matter. You win thousand games at any level in any sport. Now, you've got staying power. You know what you're doing? You're running a heck of a program. And by the way, Joe Sherman. He's been I think what thirty years twenty twenty plus years, but to be able to to be able to win there and not get lured away. I mean, he he certainly has the ability to coach at a at a higher level higher bigger baseball program, but he likes the intimate feel of Delgado. And they got a good one. He's he's he's fantastic coach, and you know, Kristie goes back to family affair his father rags mean. It's a great store when you look at the family history involved with the Delgado. But you know, it just goes to show you a pre she should've all the people that we recognize family and friends around your liens that look even saints coach, Sean Payton said of the thousand winds that's unfree can real. It included coach Paul Mainieri. Skip Bergman when you talking about baseball, those two names really hit home that as much as the ones meant to him those that have been here. So long have worked so many years at this to take a lot to get thousand wind. You look at his father died twenty two years ago. That being ragged Sherman. So Chris what's amazing to be persistent and to last that long at the chief greatness like you said, then matter what you involved in. It just shows you Javadi of like being able to win a thousand of anything and Delgado's got one of the best programs in college baseball. Okay. They've sent several guys coal Freeman being one of them. They've sent several guys to the LSU program having to go the Juku route. I that's a really good. It's not just I mean, it's evidenced by the thousands, but they're competing for national championships quite often. Well, think of you know, you look at different states. There's different routes. You can go Juku junior college versus division too. Division one whatever it might be. But really that's more a Texas and Mississippi thing when you talk about the Juku route right because it's not really Louisiana when you look at Delgado. Delgado dolphins what they've done in juke. Oh baseball, a kind of speaks for itself and the program that they've established there because that really what you see, you know, obviously Juku recruits in Mississippi. I'm just going to go to proximity to the state and Texas that's not necessarily the case. Because they'll Gatto what they've done right there city part speaks volumes. And with what going back is that. And I know Joe will tell you. We gotta have him on that. You know, the responsibility of what is that? Accomplish. Being called rags name. So this is close was tattered while he he didn't he always played barefoot because he only had one pair of dress shoes. And then he tear up all his clothes playing baseball. Yeah. And then it, okay? If you too son of rags, I Joe thing they name was patches. You know, I'm bad patches on my Joe. So just goes that's very humbling. So when you look at that, how could you not appreciate that longevity and much more than being a coach in the players. Involve we want a nice feel wants.

"No, call and Nola, seventy two hours removed from it getting angrier. Or are you getting over the no ball, deuce McAllister? Bobby Kristian garic here the sportsbook at bar boulevard casino resort. You might hear Bobby holding court here off the air with the who DAT nation. So since you and I for right now. Right. Look at it the off season the decisions of saints have to make in particular with some free agents. I would say Mark Ingram is a player that is very very intriguing. The think about do you think he's back with the saints think the market is going to be the issue, Mark. And I say that in a good way. The saints are going to have to make the decision to if they want to give Mark a long term extension. I don't think that he is. He's probably in a position more so to settle in for a one year contract. So he's going to be in line anywhere from three to five year contract. And I don't know if the saints are going to want to be in that position. They may let the market that said that they may let the market set itself for Mark. And that may just be a little bit too rich for them. I'm the honor. I would love to see him. I I think the market is just going to be too good. To want him back. But he ain't coming back this. I'm just saying I know the saints want him back. I know Alvin Walton back he said he wants to be back. But I think the market is going to probably pay him a little bit more than what the saints wanna pay. If you look at the market price and supply the man with the running back that's gonna obviously determine marketing future New Orleans. Now, the one thing over his career is outstanding. He's averaged four navy yards. A carry do, you know, who's the number one running back a number one player in the NFL the last three seasons average per carry mortgage right yards four point nine. Are you kidding me? Now, would that being said look ios the franchise record with fifty rushing touchdown? Resolve standing Brady's eighty nine yard short of the all time leading Russia saints history, deuce McAllister, and I'm telling you he will not break that record. He will not break that record because they say are paying them. They not paying look I just think if he hits open market, it's gotta be a probably around and he's already change ages. He's he's change agents. Was it twice? Siegel. I know he's with the group out of out of Detroit out of Michigan. I think the market for him is going to be. Three eight two four and a half. A year. Well, that's what he got us on a second contract. Let let me just add this typically until marketing we've got a second contract from the saints under Sean Payton, he was the first he was the first running back to get a second contract from the saints. This'll be the third contract for twenty nine year old running back. I don't see it happening. I just don't for for a market that big. Well, and the thing is you need to punch troop got a second contract. Okay. Hold on. Hold on. No fake news on. It comes with the caveat of a draft draft to play overdraft player after runabout. I'm only drafted. To stat. Oh, yeah. But the only thing is to show you how quickly things change. What I mean by that? It just goes to show you how the NFL this is unbelievable Bobby don't take us there. Now, we no, no, no, no. They're going to bring this up. You know, think about what Todd Gurley did last year Todd Gurley. Be whatever. Yeah. He was an MVP. Offense of offensive player of the year. Yeah. Okay. Todd gurley. Not even the go through guide anymore. Title touch the ball only. Okay. Reduce look he's hurt. But if he ran a little bit of cow granola, I'm just sixteen carries over one hundred. But okay, it's the saints. He didn't have a care in third quarter. Above the one thing that touchdown run here and look to me against the same. They're all he looked fast. We is he touched the ball five times. C J Anderson led the Rams diagnose Amiga forty four yards rushing. But you look at girlie was on the few of thirty two stabs Anderson was thirty seven like you said office a player of the year. So whatever you lately, I don't know. I think the saints are leaning more upon the contribution of Alba and Mark Ingram. And I love marketing marketing Sates lately, I think speaks volumes. But I mean, they go pay him. Here's the other thing too. Bobby you've got all that other young talent. That's up to get paid starting with Michael Thomas. You've got to figure out our chimera at will alva- can't get paid. Nobody vigilant in the next two years. He can't advocate get paid this year. But Mike was Tom Michael Thomas can.

"Text eight seventy eight seventy or tweet at WWL AM FM. Back here on sportstalk, Bobby Christian here James in New Orleans. What's going on James, you're on WWL? Hey, bobby. Hey, James what you got man. Listen to yell and pay rate. Out of town. But I want to talk about this is that a yes, I know a lot of people talking about the ally apple trees, you know, this thing. But that's way. Jason you call. You gave him a nickname. Eli apple tree. No, no. That's all good. I mean, you got to before we call him Eli apple we might call them apple tree until he does something. Yeah. I really wasn't talking about him so much what I wanted to talk about was that. I think people have underestimated how much Alex. Okay. For me to the defense. Oh, he had a big game last week. I'll sack pass defense has had a couple of runs bag hit her. No, he got after flacco. I'll tell you what that's a modern day miracle modern medicine hive you want to describe it to come back from achilles. Where he's at. Now. Chris what has hindered us also development in that, Trey Hendrickson? Don't you look at he's hurt morning. He's healthy. Plays. I mean, he was a guy that we on getting their rotation. The the rush the passer along with Davenport, Mitchell, Loewen and all that combination and the ratings would definitely aware of Cam, Jordan. So they're like, okay. Cavs died getting to flacco and Oga four-day. Get one time got a quarterback hit. But overall you'd say Oakland four was a great addition could sitting when we got him. We weren't familiar with him. And I hope he LA apple can work Oga foregin. It'd be a big get. Well, yeah. That would definitely be. Anything goes because I've noticed one thing when a first down this year. Think that the more cover three they had to bring the extra safety down. But. Would add a mistake last week what he's in there. You can see him more clay more to high safety more that you know, that kind of the kinda help out the key things the front you on the back into don't break matab noble J James I'm glad you brought that up Christopher that. We have a housing we've talked about this in any show. I'm not trying to stir a hornet's nest. But then anybody find out why the hell mortgage Williams all of a sudden is not in the game incurred Coleman was in there. There was a timeframe I want to stay in the second half, KOMO callers nation y-y'all viewed this. I mean, I can't believe we did not address that that why all of us could be a coach indecision. Now, all of a sudden Kurt Coleman's in there with von bell mortgage Williams on the bench. Now again, pretty getting ready to play Minnesota. Now, would that being said is it is it something a coaching decision or the different game plan that they could spend it where we we plan. This all alone. Right. But as mortgage Williams they had the big interception against Cleveland. Yes. But hasn't done much since Amen. So I'm not I'm not trying to stir anything, but I'm just being observant on that. I can't believe I forgot that cruise. I've been wanting to talk about that. But we're gonna that's another homework assignment because the game Sunday night. We we got time. I'll look it up on NFL game pass. Like, what all of a sudden, you think Marcus Williams, we get all the field. And all of a sudden he's not on the field. The game still on the line. And we got Kirk Coleman bell and the game Bobby Kristian garic sports, all coming back for Heywood and at five oh, four to six zero one eight seventy text eight seven eight seventy also want to revisit this targeting from Devon white. His Spencer will not be overturned for the Alabama game. Let's talk about the targeting penalty. Should there be an appeal process? Should there be a level? You got you got a personal foul. Yes. There should be different levels of target. You get a fifteen yard penalty kicked out the gain necessarily suspended for two quarters of the next game, you know, half. However that goes because there is a difference when you look at targeting, and, you know, what's going to happen because it is his example, it will be address, but it's going to be addressed to the future. Ain't nothing changing right now. Talk about that next as well. Do you think there's some disparity between how LSU players retreated and Bama players are treated about this targeting will two six zero one eight seventy eight seventy eight seventy this is sports talk here on wwl. "Clearly has been denied his white too bad trout. He. Be corrected immediately. No word yet on where Cosby will spend most of his prison sentence. CBS news update and Alison keys. Sports talk live and local on WWL. Call 504-260-1870 or text eight seventy eight seventy. All right. Matt in Shreveport. Thanks for your patience. You're on sports talk on WWL. Thank taking my call. You bet. Hey, matt. Listen, God, that's gone to get your opinion. You know, the game I saw Sunday, and I'm not Aaron galanter tennis out or anybody like that. I'm not going to be too critical. But the game I saw Sunday. Maybe there's a scheme thing. But I just saw a better athlete making more plays than than what the sites had the secondary that was Calvin Calvin Ridley with a better athlete. Amen. I have an answer for the bottom. What? Amen. That's why does one reason why they drafted Cal really where they drafted him. Because teams do a chess match. My guy is better than your guy and you draft to beat you when you're division. Yes. And so they said how can we outflank the saints and truly keep pace with drew Brees? Okay. We might have to get in the shootout. But that's what we gotta do. So that's why even though they have Julio Jones go get Calvin, really. And the way the game is structured that makes somewhat sense. Now, that's why I say we had to win the game. We will fortunate to catch the falcons will we did. You know, why Pro Bowl linebacker Pro Bowl safety hurt. K play. You think instead of Duke Raleigh? Now do growly could piece Bill come into play. Do you think maybe they have a better chance to stop the saints with deebo geologist canoe Neil plane, especially out in space? When when when when albacore was good on such a hard time. Yes. And then you got hurt. Guys. Thanks live with my mind. Got her during the game with achilles. I have a brief. I've talked about him today the other safety. So now the falcons going forward. They have their two studs safeties that that that are out. I mean, this guy when he went out he tore his achilles is gonna come to is coming to me Kristie. I'm telling you, okay. His name's coming to me. But he was lining everybody up. And they're still has some stability without Neil. And then when he went down I said, ooh that bodes well for the saints. You could say, okay. The next guy go in there. It's not the same. That's why saying I'm telling you. I don't care. We're playing in New Orleans Orlando we are catching the falcons Allen Ricardo Allen over Allen's has died. I'm telling you, and he's not as good as Caen Neil who was out. So with that being said because the falcons at the right time. That's why we had to win. Listen, can we split? I don't know. What's going to happen? Thanksgiving night. Hopefully, I'll divas gets better and office continues to roll. But it does matter when you play a team. Listen, the Vikings got embarrassed about the bills, we're gonna watch this come Thursday night football. They catching the Rams at the right time. Come on Kirk cousins. Now, though, the Rams get get after the quarterback and only rush for face and Marcus Peters. United saying a face it a key to leave. Two dominant Cornerbacks. So it does matter when you play a team. They don't have all hands on deck. So I'm thinking right now. What is home or away? Again. The Rams even though the Rams are number one power. Whatever ranking come on and the LA Coliseum. They got no damn home field advantage of their budget Californians there for a social event, you know, they they still appreciate USC more than the Rams, and they just kinda go to see who's there and all that. Oh, the team scores. Oh, great. Touchdown. Yay. Whatever. But then I'd passionate. But with that being said, I think the Vikings could be catching the Rams at the right time. So it does matter when you play. So when you look at matchups Christian, and and and you going forward. You gotta have luck with injuries. But you know, one thing you could ever make an excuse because we had this. We had that look at the beginning of the season or right after the back in training camp when we were talking about the Carolina Panthers offensive of line everybody in the NFC Salween the toughest division. But every team in the NFC south nal is dealt with adversity. How can you handle that adversity because there's no excuses come on United saying what was that Thomas? There's no crying in baseball. Right. Well, there's no excuse in the NFL. It is next man up, and you truly gotta get a Doug as the fans don't wanna hear. Oh, well, this happened that habit. They want to know whether you're gonna win or lose math. Thanks for the phone. Call Jay is Slidell. What's going on? Jay, you're on WWL. Khudai J, Paul, right? Well, relieved to see that happen. Was out of this last year? Thank goodness for last three or four years before that it seems like they always let people get behind him at a really critical. And that's what happened at the end of the Cleveland game. Beat underneath I can deal with that. Because you can you can get down in the vegetation. All right. Get behind you, please. I don't know if that's been Allen or Ken Crawley, but but that fundamental principle you could always run faster than you can run backward. Amen. Amen. Jay, don't get burnt. Toes? Like what we have no chance if they get behind you. And then if oh quarterbacks are too good overall that you will get Bert what? So you could always go forward and make a play on the ball. But when you trying to play catch up. No good things you lied. Don't happen. I don't understand why they don't at least have one guy that they bring in these situations. That is disappointed that his job is to stand at the goal wider thirty yards deep or however long L ever deep. You have to be to keep everything in front of you, you know, and that way at least you don't get burnt at the end of the half or the end of the game. Well, you know, Jay you brought that up a lot of times. In the past. You perfected that skill set. It's tough say damn he's back there. Earl thomas. Would the Seattle Seahawks? I've already witnessed Earl Thomas from where the ball is be twenty five yards deep. What? Like come on. You gotta make a play too deep, but he can run sideline to sideline tried that technique and it worked at the bills that they work with the saints. Jerry is bird. He'd be. Okay. Yeah. Like you almost too conservative and you're not taking chances with angels got hurt. But it's a fine line. When all of a sudden, you that safety nobody could get behind you. But then you gotta be to playing. You know, the one interception. The one journal will we got the one takeaway. We're mortgage Williams. Look now 'cause saints fans save the gains because they rewatch him. Tyrod Taylor look at the angle when the ball was released of tyrod Taylor looking much ground, Marcus Williams covered on that interception. Christian. Tom had was like ten yards. And tyrod Taylor that he thinks he got the guy wide open. We saw that in training camp. If you time Marcus Williams, set him up bargains, it was then that the drew Brees. Now, you gotta do that more often. But the thing is one that you can never do whether you Marcus Williams occurred Coleman, whoever to safety. You can't get behind you. If you're helping out with the quarterbacks, I don't know. Like, I said, I don't know all the coverages, but as Davidson of bag that's a model sin. You cannot let anyone get behind you. Because then you have no chance you have no chance you can't even come up and make a little ball or make a tackle lift to fight another day, Bobby Kristian garic winding down here on sports talk.
