"Think those guys played more upfront. Than some of the other position groups to start. They had, like 9 13 guys when training camp started, but you know as they whittled it down. I thought, like the offensive line was getting some reps. Well, Cody Ford was the only starter who played in the first preseason game. Okay in Detroit, right, And then in Chicago. I'm gonna have to go back and look, but I don't think all of them played in that game, either, Right? And then they all line reason for the last one. And the reason I bring that up is because Recording. They were the Steelers were the Steelers. They were good, but they got if I remember Donald Trump it against Chicago because he was trying to get back into conditioning in game shape, But he only played like he didn't play much didn't know. And even the young players like Russo. When you play like 14 Sensor longer Ton Spencer Long got a ton of snap. Spencer Brown got a ton of And then got hurt. Mr Tweets Season game got tweaked. And then you had, you know Tommy Doyle. Yeah. Yeah. Damn. Who was? Yeah. Spencer Brown was playing right tackle who is the other tackle? It was playing. Doyle, wasn't it? Bobby Hart? Bobby Hart, who's now someplace else, right? Yeah. So I don't know. It's a real conversations debate that we're going to. We'll be back right here. Sit in the seats next preseason, thinking about the same thing. How much are these guys going to play? And what does it mean? Last year when they showed up and, you know, laid an egg against the Steelers? Offensively defensively, the bills didn't look too bad. I don't know if the Pittsburgh Steelers offense is anything but hot garbage. Going forward, but they didn't kill him into the end zone. 16 points is not enough in the NFL. The bills will tell you that Yeah. They found that out the hard way in 2019 and still got 10 victories. Yeah, because their defense was lights out in Pittsburgh might find themselves in a similar boat. We are going to take a break here. But Tom on a sale. Richard Webster hang tight. We'll get to you in the next segment. We're also going to play you some sound. From Oh, I'm sorry we do have Eric would next we got Eric would coming up after we were unable to get him on to reflect on week one yesterday, so he's going to be joining us next. We also have some comments from Coach McDermott, Brian David Leslie Frazier coming your way later in the program. So.

"They've always split it up on the defensive end. Jerry used lead the position last year with 58% of the snaps. Mario Addison 56 tried Murphy 32, AJ open US A. 27 and Daryl Johnson 21. So you've got five guys that all had 20% of the snaps or greater, But do you see? The guys I just mentioned that are still on the team and then the two rookies all co existing on the same team and having enough snaps to be able to make a difference. I think one of the thing that adds to the complexity and the intrigue of the Who's going to get snapped. Discussion is the idea that you added three pieces recently. That all had inside outside versatility. You added f A o. But you added Carlos fashion you added Gregory Riso, so I don't think we necessarily need to just look at the edge rushers. On the depth chart. I think there's a chance the bills could end up going light a defensive tackle because they have players who can kick inside so that all the sudden opens up players like Harrison Phillips and Justin Zimmer. Be on the chopping block to add room. I think that maybe when you look at these versatile into your offensive lineman, we need to start looking at the interior defensive line and the edges together. In one bucket when it comes to snatch instead of separating them out and trying to make it fit in finesse it in our heads. I think we need to understand that Not only is Bam Johnson probably On notice that this point, although he's been a four face special teams player, maybe they didn't see the development from him that they wanted to have 1/7 round pick You take a swing on Jules, You know, two years in If he ends up being on your roster and being a contributor for two years, that's a perfectly reasonable success. Seventh round pick, So it's not like we're gonna cut Van Johnson and all the sudden it's going to be the end of the world by any means. But also you look at Justin Zimmer, you look at Harrison Phillips and you think, OK, if I've got edges you can kick inside the way that I envisioned. Quinton Jefferson being last year. If I can envision those roles, then all the sudden now it becomes one gigantic bucket instead of two individual buckets. Bruce. I want to talk a little bit more about Gregory Russo and sort of size and some of the things that he flashes and obviously You know, thinking about how everything works out this year, And when you consider what Rousseau brings to the table, I think he brings a level of Skill, a level of which is fair to say rawness. He's just he's a raw talent, but he has the type of tools Just I can't. I guess the question here is I can't really put my finger on a comp of anyone that is played in the for the bills with with Russo or anywhere. I just like when you look at him and you see the size and you see the athleticism and you see the potential. It's hard for me to find the comp and, you know, I mentioned Jason Pierre Paul's name, and he does kind of give me that vibe, but he almost looks like he could be more explosive. That Jason Pierre Paul, but I don't know if you kind of throughout the process thought of anybody that that maybe he brought his game reminded you of I've just had a tough time doing it myself. When I was evaluating Russo prior to the draft, I thought the team would have him kind of broke up and be a five second. I thought Eric Armstead, the Kind of player that you were looking for now that I know that he's probably going to end up playing on the edge that changes things a little bit for me. But Eric Armstead was the idea. OK, you take this guy's I don't think he's overly explosive out of his steps, but he's smooth. He's long, and he uses his length in a really impressive way. A lot of times. You want these players who have that length and they don't actually use it there. Tackle Radius isn't any more significant than it would be if they had short arms And they don't do a good job of separating from offensive tackles and offensive guards using their length, But Russo does. He actually uses the length the way it was intended, which the reason that kind of jumped out to me is that something you see from Eric Armstead? And so I think that's a perfectly reasonable company. If the bills had him broke up. Now we know with a G evidence that they actually had him swim down. And so that was one of my stand discussions. I think Erik Flowers is the discussion to be had when it comes to that length. Someone who plays on the end, but plays with that some of these people you've seen in the Bella Chechi and system No people like Richard Seymour and friends, Eric Flowers and people who play in that type of system. I think that that's probably where you look Until you look down to the Panthers until you go down to Greg Hardy until you go down to Coney Ely. I think those are probably the best comes if you're not gonna just stay in your nice little world off previous being proteges. Do you think the Spencer Brown pick in the third round? It was kind of a surprise to not as much of a surprise bash him but a little bit of a surprise. I thought for the bills in round three I don't think you could make an argument that tackle wasn't a need for the bills, mostly because Bobby Hart was your starting man off the you know, right off the bench if something happens to be on Dawkins or if something happens to Darryl Williams, unless you're really big Ryan Bates guy and I love Ryan Bates..

"I think that was a foregone conclusion. On disown out of the Bengals looking at and what's Who's Who will be the best available. Do you think when they get that pick in the second round the names that are still out there, and this is based on people who do this for a living. You have AH, Notre Dame guard named Liam Aiken, Berg tackle guard combination You have a Samuel Cause Me of Texas. Tevin Jenkins is a guy who many people this morning or the draft gurus. Think will be the first offensive lineman that goes off. He may go with the first pick of the second round tonight. I think in the 2nd and 3rd tonight You could see the Bangles double up and take two offensive lineman or if there is an edge rusher out there, and that's one of these teams needs. I wouldn't be surprised to see him go offensive line Edge Russia. If there's an edge rusher that blows him away in the second round, it would blow people's minds and create a great deal of banks. But it could take an edge rusher in the second round and come back and get a offensive lineman. Third round and forthright. I think they'd be a little bit dangerous, So I think if I were betting I'd put it on offensive line at the 38. Well, you don't gamble it that now granted, he is a veteran. Aaron Aaron Rodgers situations interesting and literally couple hours before the draft. The news breaks that the league m V P wants out of the Green Bay Packers. Three time M V P. Aaron Rodgers, of course, saying, I want to be out because you know it's a power play going. I get that, but The message that I thought was interesting. The massive message the Packers sent, and there's some parallels here. Maybe two. To what? Your borough but going. Hey, listen, I need some help offensively here. Well, Joe Borough needs help protecting him. And in the case of Green Bay, they go out and they get a quarterback. That's that's a pretty strong message. The guy was just complaining going. Hey, I need some weapons here. Yeah, And it's a guy you're ago had to watch the Green Bay Packers pick another quarterback. They've never really surrounded him with multiple options at wide receiver. And if you're in Rogers, you say, You know how long you gonna ask me and he's 38 now, so I mean, he. He's still a good quarterback. But as you get to that age, you need even more help from the skill position, guys. Tom Brady, right? Yeah, it's just not there. Yeah, and he's I think he's legit Beef Now, Joe Burrow is certainly no Aaron Rodgers has the potential to be, if not greater, but I think there's that point there right is like if you're I suppose it's different right when you're young, and you're Jo burro and you know you had that catastrophic injury season ending injury last year. I don't know how much you worry about. You know your blind side and getting that happening in your older It happens A few more times. You start looking over your shoulder. I think it's different. And slowly, let's keep in mind. I think Bengals fans kind of glossed over this. This team in the offseason, signed a starting tackle and rightly reef Ah, veterans. They will draft a couple of offensive linemen in this draft. They brought back Frank Polich to be the offensive line coach. I'm not one of the great comments last night during our draft show, we have Kyle Caskey, the longtime Bengals assistant alliance assistant. And he said of Frank Polich, he said, quote. He's a hell of a developer of talent, and I think the Bangles believe kind of like Derrick Johnson is to the Reds. The Reds think Derrick Johnson, They're pitching coach can bring the best out of pictures. I think they believe Frank Pollack and bring the best out of their offensive lineman. And I think if you look at they cut one of their weaknesses and Bobby Hart, they're gonna downplay the impact of another one of their weaknesses but not give up on him. Like Michael Jordan. I think they've done things to upgrade their offensive line that maybe fly under the radar of fans because it wasn't splashy and big, but I think if you take that, plus what they're gonna get tonight at 38. I think there's reason to be optimistic about this on the Atlanta McAllister on the first round draft around too, of course tonight at seven o'clock. Um, And you know, I thought that one day more interesting because there's always drama in the draft. Right is the 40 Niners at Number three. And Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch get Trey Lance and you know, I thought was all of a sudden his hears this quarterback in Mac Jones. Which there's a lot of question marks about right and he falls down in the New England Patriots and Bill Belichick wind up getting him s o. The nine years pass him over. I look at it go. Okay. Well, I mean, there's some parallels there. T Tom Brady. Yes, but I don't know if they can get lightning twice. Here's the thing, though. I think the most interesting thing to me was I just saw this this morning is by they thought Mack Jones was going to make probably about $34 million if he were drafted by the Niners, but by falling to 11, New England, that what number 15. He's gonna make about half that. Yeah, It's such a fascinating really interesting with those teams last night because it's like, OK, the Patriots the mad scientist, Bella check it fell right into his lap. He's got his guy. Oh, carry on for the next decade and the same thing with what the 40 Niners Dickau Shaohannah's viewed as the such a beautiful Mind, is an offensive coordinator and his head coach, He's drafting a quarterback..

"J. Green and Gino Atkins be the latest to go and Bangles quote. Changing of the guard. I think it's pretty clear AJ has played his final game is a Bengal probably Close to being clear his day that Gino Atkins has played his final game as a bangle and think about it. Um Zach, Centering. Your three we talk about Coach is coming in and wanting their guys. And we talk about turnover in the changing of the guard. Dunlap is out a J Green will probably be out show of hands. Is everybody okay? With Gino Atkins being out? If if they move on from him, they're going to save about 9.5 million if they cutting this off season. What would you rather roll the dice again with Gino Atkins? At age what 31 is? You know 32 yet coming off the surgery? Is there more It becomes a matter of production. What would you rather have the money? Or the player that the money to you someplace else in another way, or the veteran presence and the experience and the hope you get enough production out of it. No. Dunlap know, AJ Gino's probably gone. Bobby Hart potentially gone. Sean Williams is going to be gone. John Ross is gonna be gone. I could make the case depending on what you did in the draft, although probably much lesser case. CJ use aama. Others cringe when the name Giovanni Bernard is mentioned is moving on from him. This team moved on from Andy Dalton. They moved on from Georgia Loca. They moved on from dark West Denard. There's a lot of turnover here in the changing to get their guys. Geno's got two years left on his deal. Would you rather have the money or two more years of Gino Atkins? I'd rather have the money. I'd rather have the money and look at the prospects of a healthy DJ reader and I think very under how do I want to say this undervalued or under realized Josh to Po, Um, sat out last season, he opted out. I'm not saying he's Gino Atkins. Although Might say, based on Gino's age in the coming season, coming off the surgery. If you were to put the productions of Gino versus Josh to Po together and looked at the price, I think I'd rather have Josh to poet his money. Potential production than Gino Atkins all take the money and hey, to use a Redd's term. I will reallocate the money someplace else on this roster. Because they are moving forward in a window of Joe Burrows contract and moving forward in the window of a rookie quarterback contract is a pivotal point for this franchise. This is no longer about as much as some may want it want it to be. It's no longer about rewarding players for past performances or clinging to the past. This is about Money to use To get They're guys. They're being this coaching staff and plug it in to win. Going forward with Joe Borough. What potentially can they do with Gino Atkins for the next two years? Versus what could they do with that 9.6 million to spend in another way? I will say that surprised this morning and reading another piece on ESPN, where they ask each of the beat writers around the NFL in offseason prediction for all 32 teams. A bold one. This was the bold one from Ben Baby on the Bangles. William Jackson. The third gets a massive contract. And curl. Lawson walks who Ben Wright. Cincinnati has yet to see how the defense looks with Jackson and Trae Waynes as the starting corners. We'll look in a perfect world. I'd love to have William Jackson the third and Trey Wayne's is my corners. But it's not a perfect world. It's a salary cap world. This team had 17 sacks last season. Um Consider what this depth chart looks like if Carl Lawson leaves in free agency. Sam Hubbard on and then You're on the hook to Trae Waynes. You overpaid to get him last year, and that's it about 14 year. Do you realize what the going rate is for corners? I mean, your top corner on Jalen Ramsey is getting 21 year. True, Davis White getting 17.5 million a year. Darius Slaves getting 16.7 million this coming season..

"Zac's answer was and you can understand him taking this approach wanted. Unlike making predictions, he said. We certainly have to get a lot better in a lot of areas in Windsor number one. I'm really excited about this off season in the work we're going to put in to make sure our team improves and put all these pieces together. To have a great year. That's our expectation. We had those expectations this year and we had opportunities, so it's on us to make sure we make the most of those opportunities this year. What has to happen in 2021 to view the season as its success? Well, in no particular order? Well, I'll start with the most important job. Burroughs got to be healthy. And then Joe Burrows. Gotta be kept healthy. He's gonna be kept standing up, clean protected, protect the investment. They're gonna have to figure out a way to pressure the quarterback get pressure on the quarterback in some way, shape or form they're going to have to if I can backtrack one. If they're going to do that, with Joe, That's obviously going to be what everybody is viewing the most important factor in the offseason addressing the offensive line in the draft in free agency, perhaps both they're gonna have to take some swings and they can't be swings and misses and free agency. They have to be swings and they have to be extra base hits in free agency. I'm not so sure it doesn't have to. The first one doesn't have to be a home run in free agency, and they're gonna have to take some swings and deliver extra base hits in the draft again. His team won two games two years ago. Four games this year in answering the question what has to happen in 2021? For exact view? The season is a success. If all of those air done all of those must be done, and then success will be a winning season as the first step beyond that, If it's nine or 10 wins, the rest is out of your control in terms of Whether you're gonna make the playoffs or not, But there's a lot of interesting questions inside of all of that, and I hit on someone with J, including William Jackson, third or Carl Lawson. Everybody wants the Bangles to go big and go bold and free agency and they did a year ago for $150 million in free agency, and the results were mixed bag, but they've got to. They've got to figure out how they're going to approach. William Jackson, the third and Carl Lawson. It is a passing league. If it's a passing league to defend that you're gonna have to get pressure on the quarterback and be able to cover and the less pressure on the quarterback. The longer you have to cover. Good luck. If they can't figure out a way. Keep Carl Lawson, you are down to Sam Hubbard. Yikes on a team that already had trouble getting to the quarterback. If you can't keep William Jackson the third you've got Trae Waynes, who? A year ago, They invested three years $42 million in. Unfortunately, he never took a snap because he toward the pectoral pectoral muscle. But you've also got a Darius Phillips and a couple other lesser options. But if it's what are the other and I don't know, Maybe it's Maybe it's one gets signed an extension one gets tagged. I don't know how likely that is because the tag is such a big number with what they're gonna have to get done this offseason, But if you make it one of the other Want Carl Lawson over William Jackson, the third I'll take the guy who can be disruptive. Now. You could argue that Carl Lawson, the switch has to stay flipped and on more often, there will be burst and flashes. And there will be moments where you think he looks so good. You think they'll never be able to afford him in free agency. The guy's a monster. And then there's stretches. Where you say, Where did Carl Lawson go? And yet he's still young. What 25 years old Andre Asses? Muchas it is a cover league. William Jackson the third to me. In his first year you were like, Oh, yeah, Man, The graph the church for this guy. This guy's got a trend up and up it up and just get better. And there were moments in the past couple of years where William Jackson just if he wasn't hurt. He was just kind of He was just there. And you can't just be there you get you gotta make plays. I mean, he's a reputation in Houston was he got his hands on the ball. He batted out a lot of passes. He picked off a lot of passes. He was a playmaker, and he just he hasn't made Don't think he's made the place that you would have thought a first round corner would have made to this point. So if it's one of the other, it's Carl Lawson. You know what else has to take place in order for this season to be successful? Their best players have to play their best. But I go back to what just happened this past season And if you look simply from a Monetary standpoint, a cap standpoint of what they spent. The chunk of the cap it took up. And what they got in return. The classic return on investment mean AJ Green $18 million What did they get out of a J. Green? I think there were four weeks he did not have a catch during the season. Gino Atkins. Next at 14.2 Million. What do they get out of Gino Atkins? Zip zilch. Nata, limited snaps and one pressure. I think one tackle the entire season. DJ reader got hurt the big offseason investment. He'll be back had the thigh injury, but that was 10 Million. They spent Trae Waynes 10 million counted this year. Bobby Hart, Don't even get me started. Carlos Dunlap. Don't even get me started there. And I mean, that's 1234. Those air six guys those of the six biggest cap hits and what what production did they get combined out of Green Atkins Reader, Wayne's Heart and Dunlap and you can't win in the NFL. If your best players don't perform their best. Release your highest paid players in theory, your best players because you're devoting that kind of money to him. But you had. You know, Sean Williams didn't play much. His cap. It was around five. You know, John Ross around five million. See Jay Oussama got hurt. He was closer to six million. Joe mixing got hurt, and we didn't hear from him. For what? The final how many games of the season and that was about four million on the cap. Jonah Williams got hurt. I don't want to say again, but but he got hurt, So that's a big stack of talent..

"Okay, that's that's a fair statement there and what you said about Duke Tobin. Obviously correct now the teams to have G. M's and directors of player personality. There's no it's no secret down one Paul Brown Stadium that they lack in the front office. We have compared other teams, especially other successful teams, right. You could talk about scouts and practice bubbles and things like that. But at the end of the day, whether it's Duke Tobin or anyone else, essentially the guy who's directing and the architect of this team, it's some point to look at Duke Tobin ago We'll manage you. We need some new blood. We need new minds in here to be able to project in today's NFL because, as you said, absolutely, five years is an eternity. Things change so quickly. The parody changes so quickly. The National Football League that that you have to keep up with that much like we saw, comparatively just across the street with the Reds, right. You brought baseball guys ever more analytical and you know the science of baseball things like that. Team reflects that now The trajectory is right. Is that kind of what's missing here at the Bangles? Yeah, I think so. I think at a sports science and it's changed a lot. Yeah, No, it has. And again. I mean, look, Joe Burrow is going to come back. Hopefully, next season playoff 16 games and when you have a great quarterback, and I think the Bangles do that, who's trending toward greatness? Assuming he's healthy, it's going to cover up a lot of issues, right when, when Peyton Manning he got injured, you realized how bad that roster wasn't Indianapolis, They went from perennial Super Bowl contender to a team. But in 11, 1, 2003 and 13, he covered up all sorts of issues. That's what happens when you have a great quarterback. But what happens when your quarterback gets injured? We saw that this year, the team for weeks was largely non functional. You have a greater chance of yourself. Your quarterback getting injured when your offensive line stinks, and I hate to keep harping on it, But I go back to the to the spring of 2015. Bangles air coming off their fourth consecutive playoff season. They had a really good roster in 2015, and because they had very few short term holds the plug. They take tackles in the first two rounds. Cedric away, he Jake Fisher. The thinking at the time made sense. Look, we're getting old attack that position. We don't know how long Angel would work is going to stick around. We don't know how long we're gonna be able to keep Andre Smith. Let's address the tackle position. Those two players didn't work out A couple of years later, they need a center. They take Billy Price. There were some who said, Look, Take this. Lamar Jackson. Get out of Louisville quarterback standpoint, it's worked out for the Bangles. But Billy Price has been a colossal bust. In that same dress. They trade down. They acquired Cordy Glenn Colossal bust. They throw a lot of money at Bobby Hart. He hasn't been very good. They've tried to plug and play guys like Fred Johnson that hasn't worked out. They drafted Michael Jordan from Ohio State that hasn't worked out. That's a large pile of offensive line with That may or may not have added up to your quarterback getting carted off the field in Washington, but it most certainly has been the team's primary need for years in the same people who are going to be tasked with fixing it this offseason have wished has failed the last four or five off seasons to address the exact same position. That to me is a bigger deal on who the head coaches and this is no defensive back. It was nothing about his first two seasons that wowed you. There was nothing about his first two seasons that made you feel like you know what? The Bangles on the sideline have a tactical advantage over Mike Tomlin or John Harbaugh in their own division. The Bangles have some sort of creative offensive mastermind if they moved on from Zach Taylor again. Fine. Once they would have you are looking at a front office that has put together five consecutive losing seasons and faces a very uphill battle to avoid a six. How do you avoid that? If you're the Bangles right now, if you're Mike Brown, and you want to avoid that embarrassment of On. Did you know? I know Another people disagree with this McGregor, is it? Yeah, I think that the calamity this that front line led to what happened to Joe Burrow. I mean, how many quarterbacks get away with having authority 60 times a game? A zoo. Much is under duress and pressure and sacks. It was an eventuality. Well, eventually, the House of cards was going to collapse. If you get hit touch that much. Chances are one out of the 3000 times that your roster stacked untouched. It's going to end up as it did for Joe Borough. It's an inevitability and that Yeah, it is. I mean, you know, there were folks who rushed to the Bangles defense and said, Look, you can't you can't hammer away. Their offensive line is just because job, Earl got injuries. You can't one particular play and I go well, Wait a minute, The more you play with fire, the more likely you are to burn down your house, right? The Bangles for years. I've played with fire now. Could could an injury happen behind a really good offensive line? Sure it did with Carson Palmer in 2005. When he got injured in the playoffs, Sweet thing happened. He happened to get hit. He went down. That offensive line was great. And he kind of view that, as you know what one of the things that just happens in football, But with this year again, you you continued toe basically play with fire with your offensive line. And they've had injuries. You know that. The fact that Jonah Williams has been largely unavailable for his first two seasons is certainly not their fault, and there's a lot of people who think he has still has a chance to be really, really good. They played with fire on the offensive line, and it cost them in the second half of the season, their most precious commodity, and now they have to spend the offseason hoping that Joe Burrows recovery and rehab goes well enough that he's ready to go weak one. There are other issues. They have big, exact Taylor in 2019 and expansion level defense. They spent a lot of money upgrading that defense this year. It hasn't worked. There's very few difference makers. Jesse Bates is a really good player. It's safety Carl Lawson is certainly a guy who can create havoc. One other teams passed, but but there's nobody. I think that's keeping another team's offensive coordinator awaken Night. The inability T build a really good defense over the last couple of seasons. That's been a recurring scene. The unwillingness to move on from guys like Carlos Dunlap and Gino Atkins and AJ Green. That's created issues that the Joe Mixon contract, you know, as good of a player as Joe has been, you wonder, especially in a year when the salary cap is going to come down that money best spent on an offensive lineman or somebody who could make a difference defensively that there's been a slew of issues and again has has that's coaching contributed to them. Sure if they would have moved on from him yesterday. I think everybody would have understood. But I think again. A lot of those things sort of go above and beyond whoever the head coaches, and they would have been problems that the next head coach would have inherited. No Agger from ESPN. 15 30 Week. There's 3 to 6 this morning on 700. W W. Sloan you're talking about. Obviously, the Bangles and the coaching changes. Cincinnati. Zach Taylor stays, but a number of coaches are going. I think the interesting one to me, is you running back if you're the running backs coach He's leaving to become the running backs coach at the University of Kentucky is an anomaly. I am I reading too much into that. Who usually the other way, right? I owe Madame it you can get to go to the NFL who goes from the NFL to the tuk willingly..

"Day. Jeff Hobson, Marissa Contra Pelly. The staff down there, the content crew. They all do a great job. And so you get all the up to date information. Follow the Bangles on social media. Will not be your father's football team come next year. And again I said it early and I say it again. When you're 4 11 in one There are going to be changes period. You just have to change to get better if you're 40 11 coming off a two and 14 year. And so Reports that coaches are gone. Reports that players played their last game. I mean, If your specific and you say Well, this guy, that guy It's not necessarily being clairvoyant. I think if you look at who's going to be gone You look at the production of the team and in a lot of areas they did not play well are up to their capabilities. Or if you ask a coach who may be let go. The first thing they would probably tell you is that our position did not do the job that we expected them to do. The question becomes in. Who are you going to bring in? Because guess what the learning curve starts all over again. If you bring in a different defensive coordinator, a different office of line coach or different secondary coach or, you know, defensive line coach a wide receiver coach to running back, coach. Whatever you do, you're bringing this Somebody who was going to tell you. I want you to run the ball this way. Or I want you to block this way on the offensive line, or I want you to play the age gap with this stand. So I want you to move this way. Um, in man coverage, And so there is that learning cover curved. It starts all over again. Every time you bring a new coaches, you know, I think about Baker, Mayfield and people talked about this young man. He's a bus. And he's dissing that Baker Mayfield had three head coaches and three coordinators in three years. I think it might have been four. I don't know, but my point simply is this and everyone has different terminology. And everyone wants you to look at it this way, and everybody wants you to make the reads this way. And so as you change coaches You have to remember that they're coming in with their own terminology, their own way of doing things their own expectations, and there's a learning curve, so hopefully we can get beyond a pandemic. Theo th can happen and whatever coaching changes that you make, these coaches will have an opportunity to put their stamp on their position and allow these guys Learn, understand and get a feel for what is expected of them with this new position, coach. So let's stay tuned. And see how that goes. As far as players go. Paul Dana from the athletic was on the pregame show today talking about maybe Bobby Hart. Maybe Sean Williams. Maybe a couple other players. You know A J. Maybe Gino. Again. You don't know. You're just looking at certain things if you're going to go out and sign some big name free Asia and players to help bolster up Positions where you think you have some deficiencies. You gotta spend some money. But that means you also gotta let go of the money. That's just basic economic principles. It just has to happen that way, so we'll stay tuned in the final tally. The Bangles where 4 11 and one They were one and six on the road issue, 16 and one And one in five in the division. Put that in perspective compared to the other teams in the division, Pittsburgh and Baltimore with foreign, too, in the division. Cleveland was three and three in the division. The Steelers or five and three on the road. The Ravens were six and two on the road. The Browns were five and three on the road. So when you look at that Dad is tough. The last five games of the season. The Baltimore Ravens are playing the best brand of football, a five game winning streak. They're five and old. Steel is one of four they stumbled into the playoffs. The Browns three into their last five games. The Bangles two and three. So no matter how you slice it, dice it. Look at it. The Bangles just did not have an edge in any aspect. That weather was a home three and five on the road, 16 and one in the Division one and five in the conference for Nate. Nonconference 03 and one So a lot has to be addressed. Before you get into next season. The bigger question for me, and I think one of the bigger questions most people have on their mind is when next season starts. Will job, Earl start Game one. For Game five or six or whatever that to me is the biggest question because if he doesn't start You have got to identify who your quarterback is going to be. Until he's ready. And the question becomes, Did Brandon Allen do enough with the body of work? To solidify that, or will you go out and seek someone else, either to free agency. Or in the draft, But you now know why you have to have a rock solid. Backup quarterback in the NFL. For times like this, we'll be back with more of the locker room reports riff about truffle A on the Bangles Radio Network. Which ice cold Bud Light Bud Light sensor here. Even though you can't go to the game doesn't mean the game can be brought to you. Now. Here. Just go to Bud. Light dot com slash delivery. That's bud light dot com Salah's delivery Give me.

"Are looking you in the season on a high note. Obviously, Joe Burrows season ended a long time ago. But still there. It's about the future. Zach Taylor. What was that news? I guess nothing is official. But it seems usually with the first step is to revamp the staff before you fire the head coach on bits. Obviously, it seems as if he's going coming back. But what is the feeling about where this team goes from here? Well, you know, I think the feeling is that this team has a couple spots They really need to upgrade right tackle. Being one of those. Bobby Hart is under performed the offensive line coach Jim Turner. He was the first guy they announced out of here. I would expect them to use that. Probably a top 10 pick. I would assume in the draft next spring on a right tackle and edge rusher re signing Carl Lawson and they're gonna have money Rich AJ Green made $80 million. He's not likely to be back. Gino Atkins contract was around 10 11 million He won't be back and Carlos Dunlap when they traded away another big money guy. They're gonna have the money to adjust some of these things. They're obviously gonna adjust the coaching staff, but it does look like Zach Taylor is coming back. He was told these changes on the staff need to happen or there will be bigger changes so read into that what you want, but it looks like you have in the coaching staff will look a whole lot different next year. All right, Jason. We will check back after kickoff. Thanks for checking in with us right now. I'll get rich. All right. Jason Erhard in Cincinnati. Next stop is Buffalo and Paul Hamilton standing by and Paul, who would have figured back in the start of the season. We'd be sitting here right now with the Bills and 12 3 and likely the second seed in the conference. Yeah, 12 and three. Uh, I never was looking for that. It. Uh And really they're looking at Hail Mary against Arizona away from being 13 and two. Yeah, I mean, they they basically Josh Allen had brought them back down and what? What Everybody had thought was won that game. And then just a freak. Hail Mary happened and you know they wanted losing that game. So, uh, you know, I'm not expecting the bills to win this one. I don't think you're going to see a lot of Their starters. I mean to Davis White and Jerry Hughes aren't even active. Remember last time there in the situation with Josh L and they let him play a series and he's only 40 yards away from breaking Team single season passing record, So I'm wondering if maybe, um That's what's going to happen here. Let him break the record. Put him in for a syriza and then off to Matt Barkley. You look at this team today, and they are facing a team Attendant five, a division opponent trying to make the playoffs to a tug.
