"A you know when someone gives you a compliment. It just feeds that fire and so it's really really pretty awesome. So that is an amazing thing. Once you get that. I compliment from somebody and seema talked about a girl checking out his biceps when he was listed childress craziness right but it could be transformative for you can really propel you in a certain direction makes you feel good and then you know if someone asks for advice you give them advice and not fuels them and they're successful and then they pass it on to someone else and so There's been a there's been nothing negative about Being involved in the sport or competing You're going to run across some of those crazy people in the world but It's usually a really great process and you'll meet great friends You'll get some great as like you said we always tell people when you're competing even if you just get the sage package but off the off the stage you know go down to the state capitol get some cool pictures. Go down to the river and grab something on the bridge and the stuff to look at because when you know eventually when you're washed up like you your photos to look at carrie lewis pictures around your wallet. No i don't clipping there on the internet. So yeah yeah. Yeah the the cool thing about all so like market and seema have coached me to You know drop. Drop some body fat and do some photo shoots and what i like about. The whole experience is that i actually really love. The process The photo shoots themselves like pretty nervous forum. And i remember both both shoots recently like i i got shit sleep the night before selves like i'm going to have a bad shoot and but i mean i i came out looking great but the The cool thing is like you know insieme. we'll have my mackerels down and then mark him. We'll be like all right. Well you're gonna have to start doing the step. And i step mill like let's go like i give a guy like that i like hanging around my tupperware and stuff so i'm already a door for all of this. Who but the Like the stage. And doing all that. And i'm like fuck man that's a. That's a lot of commitment. You can do a man. Yeah i know i can. i'm just. I'm using excuses. And just like i always tell. People do drug tests show. It's it's going to be the most spare not. I'm not bagging on.

"These are you know. Competitors current competitors. You could say well shit that guy you know you talk to somebody. In the in the warm-up room and you find out they used to one hundred fifty five pounds exactly now there to ten you like shit like that's just kind of opens up your mind of like. Maybe it is possible because i think a lot of kids are thinking it's not possible. Yeah and you know like we talked about earlier the the fake nanny thing you know you guys stopped doing it. just stop. stop the fake daddy stuff. Just you know fun it'd be. I know it's confusing because this is what happens. Is you have these guys you know or using in a look like anybody in our organization you know. Then you have these kids ago. I could never like that. Or maybe they just give up and go and it's not even gonna try. I could never look that way. Well that's really not real. This is what's real it's over here and it looks a little bit like this. You know so that can be really You know detrimental and confusing to people. But you don't the slight thing that that is is really tough about this. It's really tough about bodybuilding is. It's really focused on the body right so even when allows younger i was like oh big someone look like them right so i train a long time and you have to train a long time to get big but i would never be as as dumb as to save be trained for ten years. You will look like me 'cause that you might not you might not look like me but the thing is you look like an absolute better version of yourself absolutely. It will be absolutely stronger. You'll be absolutely bigger And you'll probably be extremely impressed with what you've been able to do with ten years right But that's that's the tough thing when it comes to bodybuilding because it's like people on this whole natty or not cider sending like they're over here saying they've never taken drugs and if you train hard to look like them no one's saying look like anybody everyone's just trying to put out the message that if you just putting smart about your trading in nutrition you will get bigger and better and to the extent of whatever you're able to do and that's just a it's that's one that that because it's so focused again on the body. It's not like a sport where it's basketball. It's skill based this is skill based but it's very visual and that's why gets a lot of young guys and young woman also kinda just messed up and it just takes longer. You know the the the the magic pill is there. It will make you a more muscular person. But you know it's going to have some issues right eventually but Yeah i run our instagram page. I get lhasa messages. When i see these young kids at that you know follow. Whatever they think that's cool. They'll send me a message and i'm just like you know they're like hey you know. Do you think i could compete this year. And they'll send me pictures and like you freaking awesome already doesn't matter if you're one hundred fifty pounds there's a bantamweight class by the way getting so You look awesome. You have good structure. Good shape so far. Don't stop just keep doing it. Train smart. find a coach if you need to win or if you can afford one yet but don't stop it's gonna take a few years but be patient and you're gonna look awesome. And they're.

"His body around crazy to like. He's just athlete. Like what you're talking about. Ethan anomalies different category yeah. He's he's a good guy he's still supports our shows One of his really good friends. Ian mercer is is one of our backstage guys. Who's been in the federation for longtime they still communicate Wow yeah and actually help with him on some of his posing routine so You kind of know a lot of the people. But what i think is so good. Is that when. I was first looking into bodybuilding because like i've been lifting since i was thirteen but then trainer that i worked was like you should go. You should bodybuilding right on. The only thing i knew about at the time was nbc and the trainer told me oh there are natural federations on like what do you mean natural federate rip federations. I didn't even know that the wnba existed. And i think that's a good thing because not that it's a good thing that i didn't know but it's a good thing that it exists because when you want an individual wants to be like i want to get on stage but let's say that they're needle lifting lifting for two three years right. There's like we always talk about people starting or you know starting to take that route to take drugs right and you can do that responsibly. But you probably should be lifting for a long time before you decide. Hey do i want to do this. And go into this realm where i take some stuff or do i want to continue being patient. Seeing what my body can do and they make that decision later and with the wnba you can compete in a federation and try to be competitive without having to take drugs. You know what i mean. It's like you don't automatically have to go to the nbc. And because everyone's like that then you also.

"People's lives it dumb produced. You know billion dollars. A year in revenue year. After year. After year for us. And bob bell when i invited them to our fifteenth anniversary and he came with his sister who is still alive and on our medicine and he said this was the absolute best transaction that glaxo wellcome had ever done so in hindsight. What did they miss. What accidentally got deleted from the spreadsheet or what assumption or assumptions were incorrect. That they missed this opportunity so completely i think they were probably like maybe three main ones the first one and i can say this kind of from hand knowledge since i am now the head of a pharmaceutical company. The odds of any molecule actually working in the human body are less than one hundred when the human body is so complicated. It's like a a massive set of very precisely keyed locks and every molecule is like a random key and the chance that you would have a molecule that opened a lock fix some dysfunction in the body rather than causing some harm to the body. It's less than one on one hundred so first of all. They figured the chance of this thing. Working just in general was less one hundred secondly they thought to themselves even if it worked a little bit. There's only two thousand people in the whole country with this disease. They didn't really think that if it worked really well the number of people would keep cumulating. I see your same. You have these people who would have died. Otherwise not dying than that treatment cohort is just going to grow and grow and grow. Is that what you mean. Exactly i thought about it like like i was getting subscribers had sirius. Xm people said to me. Oh martinez will be lucky to have one hundred thousand subscribers. I said well. If i keep them again. Another hundred thousand the next year. Then it'll be up to two hundred thousand and then maybe four hundred eight hundred thousand now. We have thirty million so they didn't think in that subscriber mindset. That was a second problem. The third problem is tapped. They they didn't really imagine that the healthcare system would pay something like one hundred thousand dollars per year for this medicine and time. This was in the early to about twenty years ago early. two thousands. I think like the average price for an expensive medicine was perhaps ten thousand dollars a year for patients or ten thousand dollars for course of treatment because of advances and things like precision medicine and gene therapy..

"Up special that we did Bozo's Circus. The 19 sixties focused in on that one very special decade of both of circus with the Great Bob Bell and Ned Lock and Rainer and down Sandberg and Bob Trend ler. Of course. Marshall Brough Dean was starting to work into those years. As was Roy Brown Is Cookie the clown. We've got some great Chicago memories for you. Thursday morning, Thanksgiving morning from eight until 10 Bozo Garden Ray WGN TV classics and then from 10 until noon. Bozo's Circus the 19 sixties on my favorite TV station, WGN television to start talking about You know, Thanksgiving and how people are going to be celebrating this year what they're going to be doing. You know, I it seems like people are still going to be doing quite a bit of cooking. Very vandeveld. You know what I did the other day. I'm testing out. You know, I do The little cooking on WGN TV. Now, every week my Dean's cook segments that I'm doing some some Thanksgiving things, and I wanted to try something out that I'm going to do on TV next week. Never done this before I did it. I tried it out at home last night I went in. Got me one of those air friars. Oh, yeah, I do have one. Yeah, I think we've only used it once. My husband's a cook in the family, and he tried it. And, uh, you were just Yeah. Come on the best invention ever. What did he make in it? I don't remember. It was so long ago. Okay? And do you have one? Yeah. I mean, I don't use Avandia. My girlfriend does. Everybody knows Andy is the pickiest eater. And exactly, But, you know, the best thing is for it's great for you have pizza night before and you put it in the fridge. Crisp set up Totally Christmas. It's almost like it was just delivered to you. Yeah, it crisp it up. Okay, So here's you know, I'm doing some Thanksgiving side dishes, so I wanted to try something out. I I like Brussels sprouts. I know some people eat him. I happen to love Brussels sprouts. I thought they would be really good. I normally I do them on the grill s O. They get 11 like saying nice and crispy and they're you know they're soft inside and that kind of caramelized a little bit. On the grill. I thought that could even that could work in a near fryer. So I prepared them. You know, I clean them and have them put some olive oil on them and put them in the air Friar, which I never use before. It was so funny looking watching me reading the instruction book. Trying to find the buttons, so I didn't burn my house down while I was doing this, But you put the Brussels sprouts in the air Friar 400 degrees for I think it was 15 minutes. They were fantastic where they crunch here. They were crispy. They were night. The outer leaves were nice and crispy. Sometimes Brussels sprouts can be so tough. No, you know. No, not these. These were These were nice and you know, moist inside. Even a little caramelized on the outsides were nice and crispy. It was almost as if I deep fried them, but I put hardly any oil on them. At all. So on demonstrate that on TV next Tuesday, I think I'm going to be doing it. But instead of olive oil, I'm gonna use bacon fat. Gonna front. I'm gonna I'm gonna fry up some bacon with the bacon on the side. Chop it up. Put it on the side. Take a little of that bacon fat and put that on the Brussels sprouts. Before I put it in the air Fryer. That's an interesting Thanksgiving side. Let all that cook up. You might even get me to eat one of them. And just then, and you'll be eating around all the Brussels sprouts just to get to the baby. Yeah, I'm gonna cut up the bacon and put it in with the Brussels sprouts. That sounds good, doesn't it? Now that you've given it all away, Okay, now, okay. I mean, it's in these air friars are not that expensive. They're like 50 bucks or something now. We gotta get ours out again. Yeah, cool life and gadgets and I use it all the time. You know what I mean? I just got an air fryer. But I just recently learned of, and I wish now that I had waited, but they have these What? Look like toaster ovens. There They are toaster ovens, and they are toasters and conviction ovens and air friars all in one day, and you got the right one Because I'll tell you why. When you wear fry anything in your normal air Friar, you can put sauces and things like that in it. But when you put it in the toaster because I had everything in the bottom So you could do like things in the air friar that in the toaster oven airfare that doesn't require a sauce or something. But the other one is much better. But the like the oil that I put on the Brussels sprouts that what all drip down into the bottom of the toaster, right? Exactly. So the thing like that's good for the air friar slash toaster oven is like Tater tots or things like that. But if you're gonna really truly air fry, you need a true all right. Well, you know, I need more crap on my counter. So get rid of the George Foreman girl. Maybe you'll have room on my set it and forget it oven that that I I did that I bought and I think I've used twice played 30 years. Esso. Anyway, I w gmtv Tuesday morning..
"So you're forums as you probably know from feelings in the gym are used in many exercises things like you'll pull ups you'll rose your dad less and even your bicycles all involve a certain amount of forum strength and if you lock forum strengthen your ability to build shrimp and other pulse your body or also compromised on this is essentially due to the strong forearms are the strong your grit. You have more squeezing force when you have undeveloped a week forearms. These muscles might be the first to tire out when you're doing something like a row and you'll never actually really tax the most of your trying to work. Let you push your train chain on a dead left because you'll forearms give out too quickly so get fit guy. Brock Armstrong caused this. The Weakest Link in the kinetic chain if your forums. And letting you down. And this basically means that when we're doing something like a pull up we're not only engaging the major muscles that we're targeting. Shia back for example put up but you're also including all the muscles involved in the kinetic chain that performs the movement including so in this case your wrist you'll hand your forums you biceps on Soham. See your bike. Mont not only lots my knowledge to be challenged. If you're doing a pull up because your hands your grip fails before the muscles even start to get now reforms on tortuously stubborn and difficult to grow some lucky enough to have been gifted genes that allow for four hundred element some of the not so lucky and we have to use specialized training to build up these areas. As 'cause it's really a case of trading them hard and often some people definitely find that their forums can develop if you're just handling heavy weight and regular basis during exercise in saved not using wrist wraps for example because they getting is sufficient stimulation whilst doing that but with most muscles they can also be trained independent. May if you want to get optimal results. According to David Robson a body building dot com editor given their composition. Ristic Stanzas and risk. Flexes IS W- as well as the longer bracket radiologists the forums. All a pretty complex grouping on each be targeted with that allow for full contraction so in David's experience he's found beneficial to train forearms at the end of biceps training and on their own two days per week before seeing a proper no small results and he found it valuable to talk at the forearms variety of exercises on rep ranges to keep them stimulated and growing and training them frequently and hard. He's actually found the as LEDA upper. Body strength increases as well as the lifting Nashi making a safe transition to a heavier overall weight without the fair the forums. Going TO GIVE OUT MID set. So you're getting ineffective for Training session as leading to a safer more efficient training session for other components as well. So what exercises are recommended while I up training the wrist. Extensive extended enable the Hon to extend backwards they comprised of eight different heads on these muscles. Run the outside line for four such development affectively a number of reverse grit movements needs to be done sir. Thoughts things like Bob L. Reverse risk coils cable reverse curls and Soham now the great Texas is the Pharma's walks to build solid forearms to find anything like a weighted objects will not be kettlebells dumbbells. Even Bob Bell said the blocks tires or about anything else you can get your hand on plates and simply pick up the object assault walking for as long as you can obviously as well ups and Chin ups great exercises. You can even try hiding from a ball. For THIRTY SECONDS. Alm straights. You could do. Dumbbell wrist extensions says Bench holding dumbbell on them without lifting your own of your thoughts co the number as far as you can toward your bicep. I maintain a tight grip throughout this movement. Obviously slowly lowered the dumbbell back to neutral. So there's lots of next is you can't do train your forearms independently into really actually give them the the focus. They might deserve if you are trying to improve your your grip strength so that might sound unnecessary or you feel. You don't need to do them. You'll forums can be trained like any other exercise and they can benefit. You'll pull up shell rose. And you're dead lifts by by improving your your squeezing power and if like my friend do grip is less than you down than definitely. Give it a try

"Twenty nineteen draft on ESPN radio and on the ESPN. Welcome back to Brooklyn, final four picks in the first round coming up to route NBA draft here on ESPN radio will have two minutes. Between the second round picks Martinez. Deputy Commissioner will take over for Adam silver. We are expected to hear from the NBA Commissioner during the second round as well as part of our coverage. We'll hear from some of the college head coaches seen some of their guys go in the first round here tonight, coming up during our second marquess, your PJ Carlesimo Carolina. Bob bell battle for Brooklyn. So we thought the Brooklyn nets, we're on the clock. They are officially number twenty seven. But whoa Jari, Georgia. Now ski is reporting that this pick is going to the Los Angeles Clippers, as part of a trait. So the clippers who are poised at them selves quite a season next year pending on what they do in free agency. They are trading into the first round after not having a pick in the first round this season as part of a deal last year. So the five minute window is up and we're just waiting on Adam silver to see who. Brooklyn takes four. The Los Angeles Clippers Golden State, San Antonio, Detroit still to come. Dylan wind ler at bell bottling twenty six to Cleveland more on him in a moment, first, here's Adam silver. With the twenty seven th pick in two thousand nineteen NBA draft, the Brooklyn nets select Fianna do Kevin from Burlington, and Florida State University. Schmidt's player provide fee on new calving lane. The nephew of decamping Matombo naturally, one of the better shot blockers in the draft has great instincts. It can sky off the floor off two feet, and he's a strong long armed body with a seven three plus wingspan really aggressive on the offensive end of the floor. He can shoot it out to three can score on the block, and he's a big time offense of rebounder. He doesn't make his teammates better. He is a score. I player through in through and there are some questions about his ability to step out and defend the perimeter with consistency at the left. One of two players in division one last year to lead his team in scoring without starting a game. The cabin galley going number twenty seven. It's the second time tonight Brooklyn nets fans. They're getting a pick, and they'll learn later that he's going to the Los Angeles Clippers. You know, not to be disrespectful, but like you did before I don't agree very much of that. Let the one thing I do agree with stepping out and guarding guys picket role situation, but he makes his teammates buries a willing passer. I've, he's actually skilled passer. How did you say doesn't make Steve expert? He's willing to come off the bench for goodness sake when he cargo could be lobbying for more minutes plays eighteen minutes a game and leads them in scoring he can be, you know, whining and moaning all the time. He's not that way at all and all the things he talks about. He does he does. He's shot blocker, he could step away and shoot it. I mean I just he's got a great skill centigrade. Upside. And that's why put them on our sleepers thing. But the only thing I do these gonna have a hard time in a pick and roll situation. Guard a dribble. But the rest of the stuff he's pretty good. I'll tell you can shoes. Thirty seven percent of say. He sits in the ACC, right? I mean you know, it's just a and he such a very unselfish guy starting step on your line. But I just I don't think that was quite a fair assessment of he brings a lot to the table. Kevin Kelly going to the clippers Bobby, I know you also wanted to talk about the Belmont player Dillen win Lurs going to the Cavaliers their second, first round, select nights, a sexy guy that the jumpy lights taking get you say that fit the way he wants to play. He loves to pass. He loves to cut. He's terrific shooter. That's how Rick Berg coaches. You know, I love some of the quotes that we get Rick Byrd said, if you invented a game and showed them the rules immediately he'd be the best player at it. He's that guy couldn't again you look that kind of guys coach and you look at what they've done it Belmont. They have been giant killers there. He's Laura Affleck than you think is six eight I think he's, he's a he's a really good game at that point the draft. He's another one of those guys knows how to play. It's unbelie eight. Eighty five percent free throw forty one percents three point ten point eight rebounds. And I mean, when it's open shot forget about it. It's flat out down. He's an interesting player, you know, I look at that the guy's going to Cleveland and what a great opportunity it's going to be for them to actually get reps right away. Okay. So this is another rebuilding situation, just like the Memphis, grizzlies in. I was at affiliates for their happy hour, and they have a fantastic happy hour. You can't beat the crisis. I just had to have some of that corn bread. You know? Oh, yeah. Now, you're making me jealous. That is so good. That's great. You're airedale drink over. There is an airedale is a dog whistle drink. Especially on a bourbon old-fashioned little opera, always Italian bitter core and grapefruit. All in bourbon and grapefruit bourbon. Yeah. It's really great. It's really in the Zine. I mean, all the chefs get outstanding first of all Ross is remarkable because they picked up all the bills for all the help for all the wine, and what if chef couldn't pay for something and one hundred percent of everything goes to charity. I mean, John is unbelievable until his Roth. And we're all measuring our house could we get this. They have a convection steam oven. That they have a chef there named Ben Davis. Who's there all the time? And he made no need Brad. You should've seen this Brad. So good. So I don't typically eat bread. But boy, I. But every single dish by every chef. Kat avila. They do a good job. Smell. I mean, all the way, you know, smell Black's barbecue. Okay. I love the smell, but it's sort of hysterical because no offence. If you walk into software, it's all open between those two restaurants. And all you smell is. The delicious barbecues. Ben smoke is good and his FM. Okay. Yes. No, I think it's very good. Did you have any frozen drinks, sir? You're googling it. You put in restaurant after smoke or you get all kinds of interesting things come up. Gotcha. Rest really, good drinks. And what we got was something that they made special for the winter warmer passport book, and it was called a Cardi B shot, and it made Ashley with potato hope that they had liquefied. And you know, it didn't sound all that great. And then it had like the bourbon in it and a few other things in it. And it was actually really really good. That's great. That's great. Sounds like you need a crossing. You've got bourbon pie. Okay. Okay. Give us a guess. All right. Well, having been photographer in a former life.
