"The way right. Maybe everybody loves that. Tommy get i kids. Vacuumed up. alive primer Yeah yeah that's not good. It doesn't like that whole tumbling. Rattling around thing is vince. They discuss pop. Imagine the vacuum repairman holy cow but happened here. He was again. Didn't see the name on the ticket. But i know you guys much Alrighty well for 'voliti Trying to think of any message or go to that we ought to get people. I guess the twenty-five snooze lose. That's a whole deal there If you're in. Virginia don't be fooled. Yes the The enemy is running really sneaky ads trying to make you think of the republican is not good on guns not true. Don't buy into that. That's bloomberg's team doing that. Kind of stuff funny. How that stuff doesn't get fact checked. Isn't it yeah. No kid an array a quick update on that. They had their members meeting yesterday. Four direction meeting yesterday. It was a complete kangaroo court railroading deal wayne lapierre's and crew all got reelected. No shock is coming and one of the directors rocky marshall head a motion basically to get lapierre's to resign he was able to introduce it but then they voted down for the good night and discuss it now. I understand your love this part. The meeting was limited to three hundred people. Because cova supposedly right. It was full of directors and their spouses and family members ringers share and and then they cut off registration pretty quickly so basically just them doing anything they want to do. And i don't know. I don't know what they're thinking is well. You would think. I understand what but lapierre's doing but the directors. I don't know if they're buying into this nonsense. That lop ear. And bill brewer. Poor attorney a feed them and telling them. Don't worry about it this we got this no you don't the new york attorney general. Go to shut down the nra and then at some point the irs is very likely to come in and start arresting people. I wouldn't be at all surprised if that happens. And there's there's no protection to what they're doing since to delay there. They're running this train right off a cliff and even the most stalwart people who've been working hard on trying to save dinner of talk to this past week. I was very surprised that i've been saying this for a year. Now that there's no saving the organization now they're saying the same thing we don't see any way literally no way to save the organization o michelle one other thing. Now we're starting to get reports that maybe these sob's going in and taking the guns out of the nra museum and selling them. Oh what this is one of the finest museums in the world while. And i don't have this not locked in. I don't know but this is reports and we started to get at these. They will not let anybody go into the museum now. Even people who ran the museum for many years. They won't let them go into see what's in there now. Wow scumbags so they may. I mean the thinking is it's been suggested that are they going in and selling these things. I mean. we know look. we know. In the past when people made donations that there were certain executives board members key people who would go cherry picking up before they got to the museum and take the good stuff out. We know that a got. The bob peterson collection. Which is in there and is valued at thirty million dollars. Just his collection. Don't know where that's going. I think it was given on the basis of that can never be sold. But they're going to follow the rules like okay. Who's gonna enforce that bob. Sure isn't he's gone. Maybe the estate though they got enough money to do it if they came in and said we wanna see. Here's the list of what we gave. You wanna look at them. We're gonna do an audit. Yeah that would be interesting. It would be cool and then depress charges against people. I'm well beyond the point of not want to talk about this. I want a lot of those also to go to prison where it is on a cheerier. Note if you're a seasoned veteran hunter for seasoned hunter first of all consider bathing. If you're really that season but secondly take somebody hunting. Who hasn't been that story. That kevin told going on i hub that that was cool. Yeah heck yeah and you know it's kinda like you know you go to the range that same attitude for people that haven't shot here. Let me up shoot. Let me show my gun. That's you know here's that same spirit exists in the hunting world. People love to you. Know what you achieve. God let somebody know if if you want to hunt find one hundred. There's there's millions of us out there and there's organizations that do mentor. Hunting and at like ohio has an apprentice license. So probably other states that have that to what is that so you can go out with the person who is a seasoned or veteran hunter and gyms over here like making is pepper again. Sorry but anyways they can go out with the person that is a seasoned hunter and they teach them how to hunt. They don't carry a firearm. The prentice hunter carries the firearm. And i think they can do that once. And i think there might be age. Stipulations but look at look at your state rigs looking never to old. I mean you could be seventy never gone hunting and all right. Yes and if you're experienced you could do that. You can also get involved. Hunter education courses. You can work through local conservation groups You could just go one on one and talk. You could go talk to your local gun store and say look when you guys have. Somebody comes in. Who'd really's as asking questions. They clearly don't know what they're doing. Here's my name and number. And i'm willing to help out and a lot of times you folks who at the gun stores who are the first line of contact a lot of these people and there's a huge pay back this as exciting as it is to take somebody to the range for the first time to watch somebody executed good shot and take down the animal for the first time sometimes is more rewarding for the person who takes out hunter is. You're bringing in iraq and say look good. Oh yeah well. I mean i can remember through some of the hunters ed programs one of the youngsters that was just a star. Pupil just incredible. I'm like he got his license. They went out to the sales floor and his dad had filled out the paperwork and they were buying a gun. I mean he was going on and then a couple of weeks later he brings back a picture because there's youth days specifically for hunting when you know youth people. Yeah came back with pictures of the deer and softness. That's just so cool to see come full circle. I didn't get to go hunting with him absolutely. So there's a big payback to that. So yeah absolutely. Take somebody out. So the only way we're going to continue the game announced somebody helping you. Carry your gear until you point and hunting is what saves habitat because that's paying for the habitat out. It's not just trying to save hunting. it's all the things that come from. The yeah. Conscientious hunters are america's conservation. We give the. I mean the majority of the money with the pittman rapids. Enact is given back and correct into the land. You and watching. It wasn't like it's eleven percent like three to five million dollars. A day hunters pay for conservation. So amazing stuff. That's what we ever anybody bitch about. It even realize that some of them even know that excise taxes now. Yeah well at one hundred ten class anywhere they know it but yeah and if you're going to jump out of the state that you've always hunted in you have to have one of those little hunters education course cards unless you're old enough that you don't have to have you already had one from another state you don't have to have it you. Yes but some people have always hunted. I don't know like say in ohio and have never left ohio to hunt to michigan car right and so if you go hunting michigan hip to him a card. Our crew that stands in ohio. We just lob shots into michigan. Okay but that's not part of me your your highway again. Is jim giving away all your all your hunting site. You gotta really argued in their news around town. Very careful about those.

I suppose answers that andrew cuomo cannot stay in office the question is does he do the right thing and resign or wait for them to take him out of there. Kicking and screaming I suggest you scream for. I think he'll kick and scream until he resigns. What's going to happen. I think is. He's not gonna want to see himself impeach. He's not gonna win that. Can i just tell you i. I don't give a shit about andrew cuomo You know. I haven't lived in your. I moved out of new york. The first time in nineteen seventy one when my family moved to florida and then after college and went back to new york and worked there for five years until one thousand nine hundred ninety seven when i moved out to los angeles but one of my favorite things wall in new york was working with governor. Mario cuomo the good one the trump. The cuomo's no because no because the the the cuomo family is not bad. Shit fuck die. Just rake in a joe. So there's a picture for those watching on the stream of me and governor. Mario cuomo i used to produce his Ask the governor Series from a wnyc in new york and Yeah he was he was just awesome. I take all the skills and put them together and get my name in the paper about mario cuomo is that he was always magnanimous and he was always nice. I'll tell you something. He never said anything remotely sexual but but he did notice things like he would notice and again. I saw him once a month. he would come in. He'd say you got a haircut ride. It was usually after. I got a haircut or you lost some weight didn't you you know not in a suggestive way or anything. Just but he's showing that he pays attention and he offered me a job. He had offered me to come work in his press office. But i was. I was a twenty twenty one. Twenty two year old living in manhattan and i would have had to go to albany and i said no down which might have been the worst You know career move ever but You know you did what was right for you at night did albany now wouldn't have been good anyway. That's my little detour. Mario cuomo was great. And i hate that. His son is tainting his name. Because mario cuomo should've been president and things might have been wholly different in this country. Right now just say yeah okay. Yeah that's my. That was your thing that's good. That's a good a good piece of trivia. Now yeah it is right. I like it all right. A moment of pride somebody in in in the in the twitch chat room said no mo cuomo say that a lot of times nomo cuomo cuomo cuomo. Okay okay. i'm dan okay. Okay okay okay. So you wanna do. He said it's kinda hard to paint tips james as a politically biased liberal out to destroy trump when she basically just ended cuomo's political career. That is true so for those of them who are like. Oh she's biased. Well look. She's unlike any republican out there. She's actively went after a very powerful person in her own party. Look at that. What a concept that's called having a Okay my head. Just my thought just went when happens if it. She's a fine. Upstanding woman what. "Adventures out. There is up an example. A perfect pixar movie. How does this film successfully hit us in fields while simultaneously being able to make us laugh. What do i have to say about the character development in the story and maybe not just maybe other people will say well. We'll see if people agree with me here Up came out in two thousand nine and it was directed by pete. Doctor and i have noticed through covering so many pixar movies on the show. That pete doctor is actually responsible for a lot of the best pixar movies. So if you ever see p doctor's name anywhere in the future for any animated movies keep an eye out because it's probably a good one or it's one worth winning awards. I guess will say that This movie stars. Ed asner voicing carl frederickson jordan nagai as a voicing russell. Christopher plummer as charles. Months and bob peterson as doug and also i guess i didn't realize this at the time But upon doing research for this segment he also voices another dog named alpha. So he's the i believe it's a doberman Yeah so that's if you didn't know that that's the case all right so let's dive right in. I i feel the need to start this discussion by talking about the history of protagonist in pixar films. So because if you really look at some of them. I mean all right off the bat i'm thinking like there's solely who starts movie as a bit of an over dog You know From monsters inc you have. But or what's the ant from a bug's life. I'm actually not remembering his name. Wow okay Moving on i guess that's actually created that i can't remember his name You have woody. You have buzz light year you have. Let's i'm trying to think of like even some of the more recent ones. You have luca you have The characters from like the brothers. From or i think it's zeke. May be is the name from onward You have course the one the the other recent one from cocoa. what's his name. Will you have that kid. Whatever his name is anyways. I guess what i'm trying to say is. There's a mixture of different protagonists here. But there is one protagonist. Then i feel it is different than a lot of them because a lot of these protagonist a mentioning the start off kind of timid so like lucas. A perfect example of this the main character and onward that is the character's.

"He thinks tyler is actor is job a cunning winged four. I'd plumber who takes advantage of any opportunity can seize on and desperately wants his job in other words he wants to be the boss of myth now. Our last character on here is alan. Ooh botch as catherine cutter. Oh i like cutters character She is like this spider monster. Which you'd think would throw me off. 'cause i hate spiders. But she's really adorable and another character. That's in. This is stelea who is played by jennifer tilly as i explained earlier celia was mike's girlfriend and still is and now. She's been promoted as supervisor of the laugh floor. And of course mike is giving her as many advantages as he can so they can keep their relationship intact. Then we've also got other characters that are reoccurring from the original movie. Like bonny hunt as miss flint. A teacher monster who runs the simulation room at 'em i but now she's running the simulation for laughter's and then we've got john rats zinn berg as yeti a monster who was exiled to the himalayas. So he might come back And then we've got. Bob peterson as roz the leader of the d. a. The child detection agency who previously was undercover as a secretary at monsters. inc peterson. Also boys roses twin sister knew the voice of mr. She takes over. Rogers old job as secretary for monsters. Inc. asia tyler. As millie men. Tyler's mother and tyler's father was also play by john. The guy or does the yeti. And i haven't exactly met him just yet but i'm sure we will stephens debts ton as smith and needle men to workers at monsters inc. That operate the door shredder. They were both originally voiced in the film by the late daniel garrison. Aw that's sad. Stanton also voices gregor sanderson unlucky. Care who was the victim of code twenty three nineteen a role played in the original film by sam block so there are still some people that were the people who in the old movie but they died sadly it has been a while since monsters inc. Monsters at work came out july. Seven two thousand twenty one the film monsters inc it came out two thousand one so yes it has been twenty years since this has been a thing and it's been amazing but we think about the awfulness that is monsters university. I mean it wasn't so horrible but it wasn't what we wanted. We wanted this we want a sequel to monsters inc. And now we've got. I am happy and excited about this. So so far. We've got three fantastical episodes first. One is called welcome to monsters. Inc and of course it takes place at the well hardware. The last movie left off with water news. The third accepting tyler. Tusk men as an official scare at monsters inc basically he had broken the all-time scare record in a simulation. Better than sullivan had so. Of course he was going to be hired right off the spot but this is before what happened. Boo and before they changed from scares till jokesters. So now tyler is going to mantra zeke. Expecting to get hired boys already hired technically what. He's expecting to have an easy go at being a scare because he's been trained for college for years and everything's changed so he doesn't know what he's going to do and to top it off. He gets thrown into mitt. Which is like this repair place. Because they find out that his parents owned a hardware store therefore the people think that that is the best place to put him desperate to show that he's not just amidst person because he doesn't like the people who work at missed and he doesn't like the fact that he's not doing what he trained to do. he wanted to be where the action was. He goes to the laugh lore and tries to make the kids laugh and steady causes chaos resulting in a kid even getting loose on the floor and everybody has to correct it but mike and sully. You're like okay. We're sorry that everything's changing. I mean we're even the ceo's now but it's a good thing because laughter is what we're after now. And that's the new slogan that tyler comes up with now. The next one is called. Meet nist so tyler. Lack of ambition in repairing like anything. He failed his test to initiate him into miffed. And he's like. I don't want this. This is only temporary. in fact i'm still going to the classes to learn how to be a jokester. This brings down his co workers and they all think that. Maybe tyler isn't the best person. Well i mean the never anoc the mystic personnel. That is vow in nothing can ever get her down. So that's fine but dunkin's always trying to make it so that tyler doesn't make it. He's just out to get him because he thinks that tyler is out to get his job when reality tug couldn't care less about his job but there is this time when there's a damage door that gets mike trapped on the other side and it is up to myth to repair it and well the only person who is able to help them fix it because he's the strongest one on their team is tyler so he realizes that maybe they're not that much of screw ups mean they do do an important job guy repair place whenever monsters or well more recently children destroy it so without myth monsters inc probably couldn't really survive that well so now maybe he's starting to realize that he should not hate his new job but he shouldn't be so judgy either he should try to attack and if he wants to try and be a jokester too. That's okay but he should really learn to appreciate what he's got. Really good friends durable little job and the opportunity to improve now. The last one which was just released recently is called the damaged room now. This homeless my personal favorite. Because it was so adorable. Basically one of the monsters sneeze kids room so because this monster sneeze acid they after a pair the room and the only way to do that is to make sure. The kid is no longer in their own. It doesn't wake up the parents so the only person who can take care of the kid is mike and sully. 'cause they've already proven themselves taking care of boo. They do such an adorable job. It's just so cute. I mean your loved the first movie. You're gonna love this episode. Because of all the hijinks that they get into. It just is so similar to the first movie and the aspect of taking care of adorable child. Right down to the fact that mike is. The one is bonding with at this time of sully and he named it snore little snore. And it seltzer But here's the thing that was also happening on the side. Tyler and give are starring to have their difficulties between each other but eventually tyler does be nice to her ni- like that. I mean it did take awhile. And irene along while gosh every time that she was around tyler she kept on bringing up incidents that he couldn't remember and then he finds out the reason why she did that is because no one ever noticed her in college and she just felt so special when he finally said is this seat taken and then he real store at the end. Well he's like You said best seat in house. After i asked if the seat was taken and that was adorable is like hey you can be nice to your co-worker good for you tyler. Good review so now that that problem is resolved and they are able to. Well get the kid back in the room. It's just so adorable. Every single scene that they put into this show. I mean you can tell by off the bat that there was a lot of dedication and hard work put into this new show and this is the kind of hard work. We wanted from disney. Why wasn't this used in the sequel. Why well i guess. I can't really be mad because if it was used in the sequel though it wouldn't have this great show and that would be a crime so now that we have this great build up to this fantastic show. Now we're going to take our first break of the episode when we come back. We're going to be talking about something really creepy. That is on netflix. Right now it is called fear street. Nineteen ninety eight. We're going to see. Something truly spectacular. That are else. Stein's book series brought to live. And we know that it'll be good because our stein wrote the goosebumps books and that result a good series so see after the right. That is the new series monsters inc monsters at work and it is adorable and on disney plus and so cute. I can't wait for more. But now let's johnny to creepy and discuss fear street on looks target into horror movies. I really like them anyway. So we've got fear street part. One nineteen ninety. Four is a two thousand twenty one american team slasher film directed by les jackie with a script co written by bill griselda and jackie prominent original story by kyle killen gra- zeal and jackie based on the book series of the same name by our elstein. The guy who made the goosebumps series one of the main things that made me want to check this out. It is the first installment in the fear street tilleke and stars. Well a lot of really great actors. Dogs data minutes produced by kernan entertainment. A film adaptation of fear street began development at twentieth century studios. Two thousand fifteen with jason hired to direct and rewrite killing script with scars. Zelda in two thousand seventeen filming for the trilogy took place back to back from march to september two thousand nineteen in georgia with the film set for a. They're radical release in june twenty twenty however the trilogy was pulled from the schedule because of covert nineteen pandemic following the purchase of fox by disney churning. Entertainment ended their distribution deal with twentieth century studios gave distribution rights to net flicks in august. Twenty twenty fierce street part one nineteen ninety four premiered at the los angeles state historical park on june. Twenty eight th two thousand twenty one and was released on flicks on july second. Twenty twenty one with the other entries part to nineteen seventy eight par-three sixteen sixty six to follow in subsequent two weeks. The film received generally positive reviews from critics who praised the performance of the cass the har- and faithfulness and references to the source material and boy did the first one deliver. I really did enjoy watching it. And i give props to the cast. I give props to the people who came up with this and of course as always be must give props to our elstein. The background are elstein. He is as i said before. The author of the goosebumps books now goosebumps. Books are child like horror books but they are still really good. I always remember what my most favorite ones is called say cheese and die which is about a possessed camera if you take a picture of sound with the camera then eventually. The picture that came out of the camera will come true to that person and they will die and the only way to destroy. The camera was to basically return it to where it belongs. And then you needed to make certain that you've got rid of the picture before it was too late. It was a good one. Rl stein is basically like the child. Version of stephen king as stephen king is another great author he did amazing books like kerry and they went off to be great movies. Just like this fear. Straight has gone off to be a great series. And it's so amazing every single one is like Something that will terrify you. We have to give props to the characters who play each run. These amazing people. We've got kinda mad dreer a- who plays dina andina is like our lesbian girl who is from shady side and well. We just have to feel sorry for her. Because her girlfriend samantha. Fresh sir just broke up with her and moved to sunnyside and as it's like okay. That's like what the heck is wrong with you well. It's because shady side is cursed because of our which Whose name is sarah fear. And so she wanted to get out of shady side and go to sunnyvale. Person who plays samantha is olivia scott. And we've got the jamin flores. Junior as josh and will josh is dina's rather and he's adorable. He loves horror movies and psycho killers because he likes to solve a good mystery. Then we've got julia ren weld as kate and we love kate. She's adorable and sweet a little bit of a drug dealer but she's only doing it for college so she can get out of sight and go to sonny. Everybody seems to want to get out of shady side. Then we've got simon who's played by fred conjure and oh we feel sorry for simon to as you can probably tell there are some people that do not make it through the rest of the movie. They've got nick goody. Goody is our sheriffs who did not believe the children about the monsters and well you should believe. And his actor's name is ashley zukerman. Sounds like a neo. Someone who would star in a movie. I mean ashley. Gone with the wind. Zuckerman zukerman famous pig charlotte's web. Where the with these things. Then there's martin play by darrell. Brit gibson that's just a character if got heather who's quay by maya hockey and we've got jordana spiro. Who plays mrs lane jordan. Dean dean natale plays ruby. Laying and ruby lane is lavar killers. She's very famous. She's in a lot of movies. And we've got charlie ame- need who is rachel thompson. Sunnyvale customer basically Then we've got david w thompson playing ryan torres us our killer in the mall. Get to them in a bed. Jeremy ford as peter as this this scope pill as sarah fear are which are main villain who started this whole thing and then finally see. Berman is play by gila jacobs all these amazing actors and actresses bring to life these characters. That will make you shudder. I am not joking. This entire franchise is creepy genius and amazing. The costume design the whole lower. Everything about this is fantastic. And i cannot wait to share everything about it. With y'all you will shudder. You will scream. You will really enjoy the series. I absolutely applaud the producers the actors and actresses on a job. Well done so now. Let's talk about the plot. This amazingly creek tack euler movie slash series. 'cause it's like it's so great that even though it was filmed as the movie and would have been in theaters. It just basically is on spiring as a series has continued thing. It even has a thing that says to be continued at the end of the fell. Okay so in nineteen ninety four. Heather watkins a bookstore. Employees is murdered by her friend. Ryan and this murder scene is really spectacularly. Done you just our on the edge of your seat whole time thinking that well The person who's guilty is not heather's best friend. When when it's revealed that it's ryan you're like what would you do that. Turns out the reason why he did. That is because this town is freaking cursed all because of our main antagonised the witch. Her name is sarah fear. Talk about name that inspires fear. I mean why would your parents have a last name. That is fear. You're just asking to be hung well. Hung is not exactly what to do with witches burying them at the state provides of much better conclusions so that they do not come back and cons and the town. What are you good for you freaking which trial killers. You don't even know how to do your job anyway. So she has cursed town of shady side to be basically the horror caporal of the usa. And so everybody wants to get attaches side and go to sonny bill or any other place that is fricking curse by frigging witch. So everybody blames the witch for all of these different murders that have happened throughout the years and well we have this adorable little kid. Who is the brother of our main character and his name is josh and well. He's been researching all of these different murders his whole life. And so he's like not in all surprise when he sees this on the television and tells us sister dina about it but dina is too wrapped up in her own personal life even care that much because of the fact that she just broke up with her girlfriend when her girlfriend moved to sonny bill. And wouldn't you know it. Her girlfriend turns out to be there at the place where she is going to be. A part of the band because it's mandatory did not want to go to the football game that day and be a part of band because of the awkwardness and if the awkwardness wasn't enough they have their yelling conversation about how each other was betrayed. And it's just like okay girls. Just make up and kiss already. You know you to still have feelings for each other either way. After the game is over are insensitive. Sunny villers chased the bus. That has the safety side on it. And basically they end up throwing eggs at the bus only to result in well. They didn't mean to do this but they had like that stuff that you have whenever you win and you pour it over the coach. There is no poor that onto the car but instead because dina was leading on knows they of dropping the whole cooler and the car crashed healing guilty the people who were well holding the cooler stop the bus and go to the aid of the turks who really kind of started it anyway so sammy kind of walks out of the car. Well more like. She crawls out a car and when she does this. Her blood drips onto the bones that she discovers in the ground. And you can guess who's bones are. They are the bones of a sarah. Fear this results in sarah. Fear cursing sammy and wanting her dead and the best way for sarah to kill. Sami is to send three well. Murderers after her. They don't know it's three until but later after all though and the problem with these three murderers is that. There's zombie murderers. They're not able to be killed because they're already dead. And once they're killed they just regenerate and that makes things so difficult but before that basically the main one who had the mask and totally reminds you of scream. He was going to the house of deanna and kate thinking that well. Sammy was there because he could smell her blood. What is this creature like a shark or something. Anyway that results in dna thinking that sammy new boyfriend is the one who's pranking them. And they all go to confront her in the hospital only to find out that the boyfriend is actually the i. Guess you you'd call it first victim after the whole incident in the mall and so now. They are running for their lives from the monsters. So now you have to ask yourselves. How are they going to survive. Well obviously they're going to survive by sticking together and taking the advice of the youngest member in the group. Yeah that sounds rational. No actually. i've not being sarcastic. That is what they do but that is useful. I mean sort of at first. They think that the best way to do this is to well us. Basically ways that they got from movies like jaws for example. They use her as bait. Well her blood is bate because they realized that sammy was the thing that the monsters are after and they get them all headed to the who at this point they figured out that there's like three of them after them and they figured out that they are dead because they had seen. The mass often realized that it's ryan and the police. They don't believe him at all. Police are basically always useless in horror movies and so they have to do what they gotta do. And they think this is going to work. I mean they get them all locked up in the bathroom and exploded just like they did in jaws and it looks like it works because all the left the monsters is this goop and stuff but it does not work as i said before they have the ability to regenerate though this results in them realizing that the only way to basically handle this is to sacrifice dami and while the other ones run for their lives. And she's about to do that because she doesn't want her to die for her. But then josh realizes that there is another way the way that the camper survived from the killing that happened in nineteen seventy eight. She did die but she got brought back to life using life support. Things you know like where you do. Cpr on a victim so that is their plan. They're going to really sammy. And then they're going to use cpr to bring her back to life so they go to a grocery store to basically get the supplies that are drugs to overdose. Sammy and basically kill her just in time for the monsters to see it and realize okay. Our mission missions done so we don't need to kill the other people. Yeah this seems like it'd be the best plan but as all good plans go when it comes to car movies well. It doesn't really result in the best outcome now. If you want to see what happens you're going to have to watch the movie and now it is about time for our next commercial break when we come back. We're talking about the second episode in this amazing chile jeep fear street nineteen seventy eight. I'll see you then. Tired of searching the vast jungle of podcasts. "Okay, Now I can start to see what's going on here. And, uh, I There's absolutely in my mind a connection between the Chinese Communist Party, Dr Fauci and this gain of function in these labs. Not this is such a small club. Such a small club. They all had to know what was going on. I've tend to agree with you on that. And yeah, this is going to get Uh, just buckle up and stay tuned. Hey, real quick. I wanted to ask you about this because I know you're very connected in the Ohio political world. The 15th district, a special election that is going to be coming up. There is a lot of candidates right 12 Republicans are in the mix. And couple Democrats. Um, some names that might be familiar. Stephanie Kun's e. Of Hilliard has announced. She wants to run for that. You've got state. Rep. Uh, Bob Peterson. States. Excuse me, Senator Bob Peterson. And, uh, I'm just looking. It's that go down the list of who's Who. What's your thoughts? Houses are going to shake out and when this when this diver is going to throw an endorsement, I think that I think that whoever gets the endorsement of Congressman style Vers is gonna have a leg up both because of the endorsement because Steve is Steve Styris has had his Hand on that district for so long, and it's been solidly hiss. I think the endorsements gonna go a long way and second, he's got a lot of federal dollars. That he can put into this race. And I might, and he has to have a vested interest in his legacy. Now, when you look at the 12 Republicans, and there's only two Democrats that are gonna be the primary Allyson Russo from Emperor Only 10 in my judgment is going to be the Democrat running for that seat. Greg Betts is another name is a Democrat. I think Russo's got the bigger name recognition and she's going to be the d the 12 Republicans. I think really, the only credible candidates are the ones that air current officeholders. Senator Coons E from Hilliard, Senator Bob Peterson out of washing courthouse and then you've got a couple state wraps Brian Stewart out of Asheville and State. Rep. Jeff Laurey. Out of violent township. I think this is going to be a Jeff Laurey. Bob Peterson. Stephanie Kun's E will be your primary. And I think whoever strivers puts his name behind that will be it will give that person a big head start. I think I think Bob Peterson has made me a little more. Legacy and state politics been around a little bit longer than the other two. But Stephanie Coontz, he's got great name recognition here and the 15th. Jeff Floriana Violent township does not have big name recognition, but I know he's Amada. I've talked to him. He's Marga. And and, But Bob Peterson, I think is right now may buy them by the nose may have a lead on this, and that's just my unscientific. No polling objection. And what's your gut? Tell you when when we're going to get an endorsement. Well, let's see, stylish, just got done. It's his first day on the job of his new gig. Let's see. I would imagine after Memorial Day. I don't think he's gonna be. I don't think there's committing a run right now. I would imagine something after after Memorial Day, Steve Star bristle throws name out there for somebody. Mm hmm. Yeah. And the governor now has to come up with the date for the special election. Correct. That's where that works. Yeah. That I think it's said. I think I thought they know the candidates had until four o'clock today to file paperwork. And, uh, And I. Curiously there were two names that had been mentioned. Jeff Fix who is a Republican didn't file and Mike Cinzano are Franklin County Auditor model run for the seat but apparently did not file his paperwork. I think the GOP has an edge. I think we have to keep the 15th. There's no doubt there and the district leans Republican by, you know, 78 points..

"Idea. Bad Trump floated out there awhile ago and here in in Ohio. There was Senate Bill one nineteen knows the highest sunshine Protection Act look into keep daylight savings all year round during the acute hearing centers dot com hotline Senator Bob Peterson from the seventeenth district here at Ohio Senator how you doing? I'm doing real. Well, we had Cerrone sponsor test this afternoon on the Bill, and it's been a fun little discussion. We've had now you're you're cosponsoring. This what kind of feedback are getting from your fellow congress centers. Yes. It don't blame me on congress. I'm in. I'm in Columbus. I mean in general. This Bill came about because center Rohner put a little thing up on our Facebook says what do you think about daylight savings time? And it just exploded two people said we eight eight to time changes twice a year. We hate this. And. Very interesting. I. Want to be interested in doing that? And we had I had a similar experience with the emails. I've we've talked about sponsoring spiel it's been fun. One of the pro I think a lot of people out there. So yeah, this is a good idea that day's of need more daylight in the morning for the farming is kind of largely past. But from my understanding, you know, Kentucky Indiana would have also change too. So as that meal Hayek, probably couldn't be able to change alone because here in Cincinnati, obviously, you know, out of it across rivers, essentially, the, you know, the the same thing business being done. The big problem. I mean, historically came back came one air, we created daylight savings time. You know, we didn't have we didn't have like myself. I grew up listening to seven hundred w w. And read on the radio. And this is the silver lifelong dream talking to the two of you. Back in the day. You didn't have lights today. We live our life around the clock, not around the sunshine because we've got lights everywhere. But you are correct. One town face is, you know, the border and Cincinnati with the border four in Indiana and Kentucky in Ohio. We don't want created Indiana per years had varied timezone within there's just within their own state. And we don't want to go to that. It's it's an odd. Little quirk confederal all President Trump is suggested market Rubio's. To allow us to do this. Is currently on daylight saving time. And we cannot go today light. No state daylight savings time year round without federal approval. They can go to standard time, which is what we have in the winter without without any approval. So so we could be in right now on a two states are on standard time year round Hawaii, which is a completely different scenario. No one no border state there and. Zone is on standard time year round. So somehow managed to deal with California, Nevada ExCo and they're border states with the difference. But I don't think that's something we want the commerce across the river the Ohio river, and and so, but, but we we really want to start the discussion we think highlights four two has passed this almost exact Bill. We are proposing so Florida but cannot enact a savings time year round because government has not acted Senator. Bob Peterson's our guest, Senator, what do you what do you think the chances are this becomes a national law? The president suggested he likes it. I would predict anything come in DC. I do think it makes sense. I think the way most of us live our lives today having more sunlight in the afternoons, and he'd nearly evenings is beneficial. I think most of us would prefer that. And I don't know. Anybody that likes dealing time change especially the spring forward in the spring. Susan. It's been the pushback though, like who who is, you know, pushing back forcefully saying, this is a bad idea other than just, you know, government kind of move slowly kind of thing or people are resisting the change. What's what's the pushback from the side? So we've just started the process, and I don't expect us to move fast. Really? No hurry. I think we need to have a long discussion because in rally in DC to take some action by Ohio can help lead the discussion. And do that the pushback is. I think the most legitimate pushback is what you identified differences between neighboring states. We don't want. We don't want to be an island separated from the other. You know? Kentucky Kentucky in and they said hell, no. We're not doing it. Or? Tri-state conversation is avenue. I assure you, we will do that. Or the next few weeks months? Because you. The other question we get is. It's really those kids waiting for the school bus early in the mornings in the long winter night. Because we would we would go to daylight saving time year round. It's true would be darker in the morning. People would more kids will be getting on the school bus or going to school in the dark on the flip side of that. They're more likely becoming home in the daytime it's kind of a trade off. Correct. Theirselves on the screen. Exactly, we have technology didn't exist. During World War One era. All right with that. Senator Bob Peterson. Really appreciate you talking to us. And we'll keep an eye on this. Great visit with you here. There's a Senator Bob Peterson from the seventeenth district. And this is like something just he needs to happen. Right. I I mean, maybe again, maybe the parents with kids waiting for the bus. I which I feel like that's like used as the ultimate weapon. The kids waiting for the bus while they're going to school when it's too cold or not going to school. It's like I feel like we think that's a bigger problem than what it is. Like kids is okay. It's gonna be a little dark might be little cold. You're getting on the bus big deal. The residents won't have a little more sunshine, noon joy, right because what we're thinking about because we're thinking locally here when you think about eastern up north, they're they're dealing with West Virginia and Pennsylvania out east and north the border Michigan. So there's a there's a lot there. No, I say we take our tanks. We aim or Kentucky name some toward Indiana and say look man, we're going to do this or else ends up. Yeah. Get the militia. Somebody made I saw the other day. Rob that somebody made a good point. I'm on Facebook or on Twitter or some. Good point on Twitter. For a change everything. But but no talking about the airport. Thing about one they post times for flights. You know, you're looking online. Would it be Kentucky time they list that? That's a good point. But it's their problem hours. Do if you're. What you'll be an hourly? For your flight. Everybody will eventually change to it. Anyway, I totally agree with that from the UCLA traffic.

says what do you think about daylight savings time and it just exploded two hundred people said we ate we ate to time changes twice a year we hate this and has been very interesting i follow on her facebook page that hey you wanna do a bill i'd be interested in doing that and we we had i had a similar experience with the emails i've got as we've talked about sponsoring this bill it's been fun and i think a lot of people out there so yeah this is a good idea the days of need more daylight in the morning for the farming is is kind of largely past but from my understanding you know kentucky and indiana would have also changed too so is that hayek probably couldn't be able to change alone because here in cincinnati obviously out of it across the river is essentially the same thing a lot of business being done well and they're in life the big problem i mean historically originally came back came out world war one era we actually created daylight savings time you know we didn't have we didn't have light i'm a farmer myself i grew up listening to seven hundred wwl w and the reds on the radio this over lifelong dream talking to the two of you automobile w._f._a._n. you know back in the day you didn't have lights today we live our life around the clock not around the sunshine right because we've got lights everywhere but you are correct one challenge we face is you know the border and cincinnati with the border boring indiana and kentucky and ohio we don't wanna create disruption in indiana years had varied time timezone within there's just within their own state and we don't want to go to that it's it's an odd little quirk in federal law president trump is suggested market rubio is introduced legislation to allow us to do this the odd quirk is we're currently on daylight saving time and we cannot go to daylight not daylight savings time year round without federal approval they can go to standard time which is what we have in the winter without without any approval so so we could be in right now arizona two states are on standard time year round why which is a completely different scenario no one no border state there and arizona arizona's on standard time year round so somehow they managed to deal with california and nevada exco and they're border states with the difference but i don't think that's something we want especially with the commerce across the river the ohio river and and so but but we we really wanted to start the discussion we think highlight tend to lead four two has passed this almost exact bill that we are proposing so florida but they cannot enact daylight savings time year round because the federal government has not acted senator bob peterson's our guest in senator what are you what do you think the chances are this becomes a national law was the president suggested he likes it i would not predict anything come now washington d._c. i mean do think it makes sense i think the way most of us live our lives today having more sunlight in the afternoon and evening early evening is beneficial i think most of us would prefer that and i don't know anybody that likes dealing with the time change especially the spring forward in the spring so says senator wha- what's been the pushback though like who who is pushing back forcefully saying this is a bad idea why can't other than just you know government kind of moves slowly kind of thing or people are resistant to change what's what's the pushback from the other side so we've just started the process and i don't expect this to move fast there's really no hurry i think we need to have a long thoughtful discussion because in reality we're waiting on washington d._c. to take some action but i think ohio can help lead the discussion and do that the pushback is i think the most legitimate pushback is what you identified differences between neighboring states we don't want we don't want ohio to be an island separated from the other different from kentucky caught up kentucky and they said hell no we're not doing it or hazard tristate conversation avenir we have no but i assure you we will do that over the next few weeks months then the other question we get is it's really those kids waiting for the school bus early in the mornings in the long winter night because we would we would go to daylight saving time year round it's true would be darker in the morning Well, you, you know, you're looking online would be Kentucky time they list that. That's a good point. But it's their problem on ours. Do it. Like, if you're say what you'll be an hourly. For your flight. Everybody will eventually change to it. Anyway, I totally agree with that from the UCLA traffic.
