"Well way. Our final show. Of a year that will live in infamy. That's an understatement. I'm gonna try to make this show as good as the year has been. About that. What? Okay, So what does that just that just really exactly? Pretty much means I'm gonna phone it in tonight. You know, when my my top priority going into a show is what kind of omelet am I gonna make this morning and then during one of my newscast and every one of you at it, and really, now that I think of it What's that? What are your newscast 10 12 minutes Long 15 someone that six they play Judd's. They just seem like they're 15. Uh, no. It's six minutes. You could make an omelet. Sure you killed no problem. Sure you can. That's easy to do. The question is, what am I gonna put in the omelet? That Z got all of my concentration right now? I know I should be thinking about the show and You know what's coming up in the next segment. The meticulous timing that the show is known for Oh, right down to the second right up second, right down to the second, But I'm just thinking like what we have in the fridge that I could put in this omelet. And what do you have in the fridge that you can put in the army and a lot of stuff in there, Andy, What's your go to you Seem like you would be an omelet guy. Yeah, I do. Like the Alamo. Yeah, like a little bacon, Little green Pepper, little onion. Oh, yeah, yeah. I don't have any bacon. But I do have green pepper and onion. Yeah. I have for my way of some ham. What kind of cheese? I have some ham work. I have several have Swiss American and feta. That would be a nice combination. A try cheese. Oh, that's too much. That's too much. That's 200. I've had encounters with hospitals and doctors, much the serious e government went. I'm gonna avoid three kinds of cheese and whatnot. But I think I think feta. Green pepper and onion. There you go. And some ham maybe I put some ham and their two little tomato. You have some tomatoes. You can chop up. I do have some tomatoes. Yes. No. What's your favorite omelet? Sherwani. I like pretty much what you just said. I I put Cheddar cheese in it. I like a Denver omelet with the love of Denver. Green peppers and onions or red peppers. Maybe some jalapenos depending on how well I know how Saucy you want to get but Yeah, Basically that any type of things ending with cheese and I love cheese. Yeah, I like the jalapenos in it, but I often have to, you know, first determine what else do I have to do the rest of the day? Yeah, right that people want to be around you. Sometimes the jalapeno peppers will consume over sometime. Later in the day, if you know what I mean. Yeah, So that's my big priority. Uh today. Did you have a nice holiday? You and your dad have a nice Christmas? Yes, we did. We did. We did. We did have a nice Christmas. Get out of the Ponderosa and I was at the Ponderosa for a little while. Yes, Dad was disappointed, though, because the fact that he couldn't get out and shop at a real store. He ordered everything online and nothing showed up. So I told him Don't worry about it. We've got all kinds of time and the fact that he is, um you know, we're still able to do stuff. That's all the present I need. I love that. You're 98 year old father is online buying stuff. He was doing it that he's is good. Yeah, my mom, right Banking and really Oh, yeah, yeah. Yeah, God bless him. That's fantastic. My mom tried Tonto. You know, I gave her one of my computers years ago because she wanted to go on the Internet to get recipes, she said. What are these dot com Things like fucking dot com dot towards Dutchman. I'm watching my cooking shows and all they're talking about his dot com this and dot com that what what? What is that? So I said, Well, you know, that's the you know, you've got to get on the Internet and Bob Bob Logic goes. Can I do that? And I say, Yeah, of course you can. So I got her computer and she was on it for about a week. You know how like some of the older computers back in the day? Not so much now. But how you get pop ups on the computers, right? Yeah. Dad could get those. You gotta keep shutting him down. It scared her. When she got the pop ups. She thought she had broken something. And she stopped using the computer because of the pop All they had thought that things were. She's working, right? Yeah, she didn't know what was going on. But budge. She was also intrigued by my iPhone. Like your dad at you know your dad's 98. Now my mom must have been 95 96 something like that at that time said. How do you use this phone? That you're I see you're looking at how you do this, and I showed her and she like she sort of got it. You know, she was trying to push the buttons on the iPhone. Like you did a 19 fifties. Adding machine? Yeah, almost breaking the screen. Dumb, dumb, But But I love when you know 90 year olds, especially I love that your dad is so Uh, you know, so, so computer savvy, he E is on a serious note, though just very quickly. He came very close to being scammed and really taken one time He called me and was pretty nervous. I could tell on the phone about Anemia. All that he got saying your Amazon order with your $2500 TV is ready. Please click on this to tell us where we can deliver it and write. Write this that the other I said Dad. Leave it alone. Delete it right now. Leave that alone. So he was lucky He came very close to being taken on. Unfortunately, You know, people his age, and even younger people of all ages can be taken by this. Especially, you know, the elderly because they're so trusting, and they see you. They see a message that looks very official. We'd had the Amazon logo and he said that he said, Dave, this order is here. I said dead. There is no order. This is made up..

"Tom Wainwright. These cartels even keep wages low because there's no competition for talent. In other words, it's very hard to go from one to the other in the way that they do. This is kind of grossly genius, the Tattoos, especially, the gangs like amas eighteen have on their face, they show allegiance to one side. So in Mexico bangers can switch based on who pays more has power, but in places like El Salvador. TAT's not only do they prevent you getting any kind of real job whatsoever, pretty much forever, but they're basically cattle branding their members, right? It's like if you've got that, you can't switch back to Windows. You've already got three Max, an iphone yet. The that's exactly right this to me when I went to meet the head of this cartel, the Eighteenth Street gang in his jail cell in Salvadoran. He was one of these guys who they look extraordinary united tattooed literally from head to toe, and I was interviewing him and just wondering where this tradition had come from the kind of ody's Hattie's and I thought about this labor market economics of it and I think the way you. You described it as exactly right. It does give these gangs. These cocktails are kind of ownership will most of their employees because imagine a regular employee. If you're good at your job, you may get an offer to work somewhere else you know you might try and get a job with a different company. You know if I get sick of working at the economist where I am at the moment, if I feel not paying me enough I could try and get a new job I time or something like that. But that would be somewhat harder. If I had the economist tattooed on my face, I find it a bit more difficult. Yeah. Yeah. Good. Luck. Getting rid of your. Bobbing logic is exactly what the gangs in El Salvador, united you've got Eighteenth Street Gang Tattoo you like your body going for a job interview with the Mar Saba, true Jay is going to be the mole bracing experience to say the least and say they retain a kind of ship that employees and it means that they're able to keep wages very low, and it's one of the great paradox of the drugs business. You hear about the billions of dollars that are made in buffets and true. It is a fantastically lucrative business, but you meet the guys who are working as part of this industry in a country like El Salvador and for the most part, not rich guys. Guys, you know they're making a few day and part of the reason for that is that the cartels exit this very, very powerful control over their employees cartels further than they do the same thing as other mafias do right in new. York for example sanitation, they've got what we would traditionally refer to economics as a cartel where they agreed not to lower the price for their bids to a certain level so that they can extort or at least in the past, they could extort the tax payers to get higher pricing for waste disposal and things like that. No. That's right. kind of price fixing something. You see it all kinds of regular industries and that's the point. Point web organized crime and legitimate business have sometimes mass in the past because the mafia's always played a role in many places of sorts. Full thing, these price-fixing agreements. So I read this one great study actually I think is just about the earliest study that anybody's ever done if the mafia it was done in Sicily sometime in the nineteenth century and it was a study of the, I believe the milling industry as in the flour milling industry and the millers that realize that if they fix that prices, they could make more money than by competing, but the problem was that they couldn't rely on each other to uphold disagreement. You know the worry was the one member would. Would break agreements, undercut the rest, and so they got a bunch of guys. He will basically the Mafia enforce this agreement. You know they all paid these guys on the understanding that if anybody the agreement than the Mafia would go. So the mouth, and so that was one of the very first roles that the mafia played. They were that to make sure that these legitimate businesses didn't stray from the price-fixing arrangement that they had made between them. Uneasy similar stuff going on in garbage collection industry in New York. Historically, that's an industry, which is had a big big involvement of the mafia, and again, the role that it has played, that has been to protect the. Contracts from competition, and it's interesting because when you get that kind of interaction between organized crime and regular business, it becomes a lot harder to stamp it out. You know if we're going to crime is something that all of society is against. Then getting rid is much easier when it's something that actually a lot of people in society have a stake in preserving when he find legitimate companies, actually find the mafia used in forcing bargains between the when he find that local people are in favor of the mafia because Mafia provides with public services in the way that problem ESCO bought. Did you find the actually summoning the kind? kind of popular pressure to get rid of these guys is much harder because they've made roots in science and they've got people on my side. So those kinds of links a very, very important to cut out because the more you can isolate organized crime groups from the rest of society. The easier it is to stop them out on the other hand, the more those groups embed themselves and get at ten schools into basic legitimate society whether it's the business community will just ordinary people. The hunter is going to be to get a kind of consensus that they have to go. So that should be a priority for we'll get. Cartels and extortionists are franchising as well. Can you briefly explain the concept of a franchise is in business and then explain how the cartels are also doing this? Oh. Sure. We'll just briefly at probably easiest way to describe your franchises picture Organiz ation like McDonald's or say like starbucks, you know any kind of change that. Very. Often you have a central headquarters which runs the operation and they will allow franchisees local business people to setup. Say at McDonald's restaurants, and the deal is that local business person guests to use the McDonald's brand, they use the McDonald's recipes and all.

"How are you going to sports is an entertainment factors. Would you agree with that decision? It came then. You well, how are you going to motivate people broke with you? I want you to get your random I need to be here. That's our gun. Who's your random athlete? I got you, Grandma. Did you have a random? What? Well, it's just like a lot of but, you know, I think more of six years in anything right? Chris Webber, Chris whoever 30 $40 million. They made a trade. Well, yeah, that was there's a day. That fact there he's about. He wasn't He was done at that point, and you could look at it. He was a bust as a section for sure. Chris Webber's anything but random. I don't know. I I I was trying to fall that Bob's logic. I'm not sure exactly. I guess his point ultimately is he wants fans in the stands and that's fine. You know, I get it. It's not going to be the same. It's not. It's not gonna be the same with without fans. I I agree with that. But I always whenever I have these these debates in these discussions with people. For me, at least. I always come back to What? I rather at least watch it without fans. Then have nothing at all. Yes, that's the answer for me is all day every day. Yes. You know, we're seeing it in some sports. I know golf and isn't quite the same in the galleries. Quiet. They're not screaming all that, but we're seeing in certain sports. "B. chopper one he's got he could pick either three level receiver yeah I mean you go short with the slanting goal in the Middle those big rocks and fast nothing before or die did you take the top off the secondary and can catch over either shoulder so I you know I think that work or CD lab you know he makes all circus catches all that stuff at times I just think that Judy might be more NFL ready then CD but C. B. L. outstanding that course we will offer got Henry Ruggs either I mean there's a classes guy bang John what kind of favor Gerry Judy there at twelve thirty GA I can't disagree with that and all of forward to either one of those guys being on the roster when you get your take as far as the quarterback position the overall number one pick we thought it was a foregone conclusion that Joe burrow would go to Cincinnati but then we've heard that Miami may be interested in Joe burrow would there be a possibility that Cincinnati we treat that number one pick with Miami to get maybe a couple other picks and move down and hope that they can still then get to a talk about hello yeah I drank all logic yeah like if they want to throw those three ones you know I had blood Cincinnati that dealt with yeah that'll catch your attention but I'll tell you the browser stopper now and you know here's here's the file Ohio guy well my husband's yet all that that that could really yelling Jack a lot of excitement in their program I I I I just think it would take a whole lot more to nap before they'd even consider it be honest with you because they're they're like that they're they're not they're not betrayed mode they never have banned they rarely ever make trades do Coleman's running the stop there he's done a good job personnel over the years but well Mike brown in the final stamp there and I just drive a hard drive if you nominate things change people change but boy we don't like old school you can get so I I can't imagine that Joe Berle is gonna be a bangle okay this is Gerry I I agree with you I thought that's where would be but your take as far as if you have a healthy to a bit tired of talk of Iowa and you have a healthy Joe burrow word is Dan shocker rank those in and who do you think is going to turn out to be a better pro well I you know I I think both those guys are going to be really good pros can I the thing that I like about Joe Berle the side should not be an injured is he has the frame work habits of as the Kurt Warner or a Tom Brady or in and I'm not comparing him to those guys by any stretch of imagination but he's got that same work ethic you know he's a gym rat he's a football guy he he's going to do whatever it takes to win to work hard in the offseason and that's not the plan but will not issue was a terrific athlete and he before he was injured yelled one first before you schedule the first time his deep ball accuracy and just you know off the charts I mean does that bother you the lefty remind you stay for a little bit there about but yeah we've got a built like a running back and your queue which means I thought it will be a lot more durable but I I think that the burrows guy if I had my choice between the two I would take burl although I really like to art but again you've got to put in dangerous situations and if you're injured in college you just can't hold up in the NFL and I you know I mean we saw girly look at girly great running back and that he was at that knee and collagen right now they dumped him you know the mail after a few years so I I think the injury things so Berlin the guy yeah girly and clay Matthews let go by the rams today when we look at Ohio state couple guys chase young we project him at least most mock drafts projected to go to the Washington Redskins with that second overall pick and then Jeff Okuda another Ohio state defensive back in they put so many in the NFL the last several years looking at potentially Detroit grabbing him number three you take on both of those players how dynamic do you think chase young will be at the NFL level will he be as dominant in the NFL early on in his career as he's been at Ohio state yeah yeah I think you're talking about he'll be one top five pass rushers in the National Football League the minute he gets drafted and he gets on the field this fall I mean he's had the explosive first step he uses his hands really well he's got a a whole toolbox full movie in fact what I would do right now I thank fifty odd part put Jolie first at Bridport chase sacked by put Nick right after him so I challenge your between the both the boys and but a deterrent young is just an outstanding pass rusher and he's gonna be odds on it NFL rookie of the year on the beach side to side I hate is that tremendous football player at our lads underscore shocker that is Dan's Twitter handle follow him that way okay so when we look now at some of the things that have changed as far as NFL we see Tom Brady going to Tampa Bay before I get your take there talk to me about the quarterbacks that you expect to go early on in this draft and what about a Justin Herbert is he somebody that can be ticketed for LA to be the Chargers guy or who do you see the Chargers looking out or will they give you know Tyrod Taylor a shot to be that guy yeah I think they're talking up Tyrod I definite shot because dampening land work will come up in buffalo and knows him and never give them every chance to succeed and get very Bob logic in there to help out offense of line and they want to shore up the other line there and hello you don't have to give the quarterback a chance and the running backs rap metal eyelets grapple important but what we'll see what happens there but the I think Justin Herbert is the guy that they're certainly going to focus in on because despite I mean he's a very talented guy it's just a low key personality and I don't think that's a bad thing it always a super smart guy the only thing that bothers me candidat synapse from his brain to his hand you mean when you see it adult they're great quarterbacks will may see it man I hear all right now you know they got that great anticipation and a call back all right what is the year of the defensive back you know they they have no fear in the end I I just think that right now if if harbour caliber combat once he gets the league field really be outstanding but he can't have the Katie's got in here all right now well I'll bet back foot he's got a rifle that ball in there and if he can get back and you know he'll be a really good pick for the charges if they go that direction and there is gonna be really interesting to get advice on to up its Miami passes him you know you know there's something wrong there you know I demand their socks out there something wrong with his hips or some but they just don't wanna be a part of because remember they they they turned out drew Brees for a shoulder and so you can imagine positions are still the same two of that now a chance to Miami yeah there's no question of mine he's been very busy as well on the free agency market we're gonna get into that with you down the line Dan another interview maybe in a week or so if we can work around your schedule to go over and get your grades on a lot of these free agency acquisitions but last one got to get in Tom Brady going to Tampa Bay shocking everybody because you could got forty fifty sixty to one as far as Tampa Bay being the team that Brady would take the first snap for in the twenty twenty season here in Vegas most people you know they pointed to the raiders they looked at the Chargers and of course New England and Tennessee those were the four teams really in the mix most people thought he would go back and play with New England because he has his safety blanket there and you know a couple guys James white out of the backfield and of course you know nobody better than you know the guy that's really made so many plays for him year in year out a guy that you know played quarterback actually you know for for so many years in the in the in the mac and did a great job but you know we start looking at this New England team and it's a team now that without Brady were just wonder where they go but with Chris Godwin with Mike Evans we look at this Tampa Bay team we say wow this team's going to be outstanding and with no Julian Edelman I'm just wondering how far you think Brady's going to be able to go and will he have enough protection from the Tampa Bay offense of line to where he's not vulnerable to that blindsided they see that he's avoided for so many years there in New England yeah I know that's a good point yeah and I mean he's going to help you and and what he does dot com generally doesn't always stay close to the L. five step drops and and goes be he'll get that ball out don't think that you know one step two step three step and get that ball out quickly and I think that's the only thing that really lack right now is made at slot receiver in Tampa dot one eight we were we're all over diving way before anybody else was we love can come out and stay on those guys are great great receiver and you start waffling in this last year and a half or so and then because what do you say about albums I mean it it's unbelievable but big strong insult Hey that's a pattern that receivers that and then you know if they throw Howard ball for crying out loud do look great tight end they got break there too so is it better now but I can get a slot receiver in there look at the total package and Tom lab everything that he needs and then he abandoned that running game and then drop it off to the backs and things like that so no I I think that your call will be everything over one man as he he's gonna be a tough division it all out you know they're not gonna give the bank banking Orleans yeah I think they can handle a Carolina but land is going to be tough you know copper that may have been piece of Super Bowl year so are you going to be a top division but Tom Brady is the greatest of all time and I'm really surprised that John didn't didn't always have no rain because we're Philadelphia I think you know John Lloyd John would have been happier unless he had the you know eight my name's Barbara and you know three hall of Famers Eric quarterback so I'm surprised the approach that lowering that could bring that excitement to Las Vegas but I thank god biggest car steps it up but I do like the Mariota pick go they will see what happens outstanding stuff Dan Schock always appreciate my man at our lads underscore shocker best in the business a long time veteran NFL scout and the main force behind our lads dot com check that site out folks it is top line and it is updated every single day Dan and his great staff Dan appreciate you as always we will do it again real soon when it works around your.

"Six ten WTVN so we've been talking this afternoon about the lottery and what you would do if you won just a boatload of money all the sudden I mean seriously what would you do what would you do if you won that kind of cash because again even if you took the cash option two hundred and thirty three million dollars is the cash option twenty four percent goes to the feds four percent comes to the state and then you may have some local stuff in there as well but you have to deal with don't ask me to do math because I can't you for your have to figure that out on your own what do you do with all that money eight two one W. TV are one hundred six ten WTVN just kind of curious because again if someone to get it to have a little fun with you to think about and go ma'am one of I always wanted to buy that money has always just been prohibitive of and not you can be as outlandish on this is you want we've had a Lamborghini mentioned we've had basically go out into the middle of the county somewhere and just yeah block a land in wall yourself off kind of more or less from the rest of the world Hey I did but my dad would love that my friend I'm pretty sure it's what my dad would do is just you know go somewhere I'd I'm not sure he would tell me where he lived at that point if if that he did that but that is so some of things when you when you hit the lottery some of the things that that lottery winners if they don't really say they only talk about this stuff about how it changes their life because it does that I mean something of that nature is just life changing absolutely it is sold one of the things they say to do is go ahead and give a little bit give some of that money away you know charitable organizations or or whatever you decided you want to do in the course your lifestyle is going to change without a doubt we all know this because you know all the sudden you have friends that you never had before so your thoughts on that your thoughts on the lottery and willing that kind of money what would you do eighty one W. T. V. N. or one eight hundred six ten WTVN now somebody else that I saw here and again as we've we've passed the new year everybody makes a resolution right war is Emily always calls it a promise see I didn't I die I don't like it because I don't like to break promises resolution I really don't care about the outbreak a resolution in a heartbeat I you I know you you've got something to say they're looking at me you should just start trying to make some promises because clearly like you just said they're important to DO I promise to not break promises so therefore if I don't make a promise I can't break it there you go biopsy that that is that is the Bob logic that is patented aids trade markets copy whatever in yes and nobody else will ever use it so all right so you've decided that you want your resolutions is it you're gonna lose some weight so I I found this rather interesting are there is a a study died and they said eating meals later on the weekend could make you gain weight here's my problem now I know researchers have found that eating meals later on weekends compared to week days make people more likely to be overweight so if you're lucky enough we get to sleep in on the weekends and eat your breakfast a little later than what you normally do that could be leading the weight gain a study has found that that's not necessarily a good thing university Barcelona found that folks who eight three half hours later on the weekends and BMI's which is your body mass index of one point two units higher compared to those who just stuck to their normal everyday weekly routine you get up at six on weekdays usually but not maybe nine or so on a Saturday or Sunday yeah that's not necessarily a good thing at least for your weight mentally that's a whole different ballgame but they say what happens with their biological clocks is they prepare the metabolism to break down food at specific times which is why you should eat on a regular basis when we eat that are unexpected time the metabolism get sluggish it would seem to lead to extort a fat again now I know exactly what my problem is I don't eat on a regular schedule I by haven't for years and I I believe it's starting to show the data is actually showed that the greatest time between weekday and weekend meals the more likely people are to be overweight so the big question is to lose some weight are you willing to get up early on the weekends would you do that is that such a if it meant that you could be thinner would you get up earlier on the weekends when you actually have the opportunity to sleep in a little bit I don't know maybe I don't my internal clock always wakes me up I can't sleep and anymore well I mean my wrong person at I have such a crazy schedule as it is on the weekends getting up early just cut out automatically happens for me I actually get up earlier on the weekends then when I do during the week well you're not so again which would you do that would you give up yet just kind of curious on that if you want to chime in on this eight two one WTVN or one hundred six ten WTVN would you get up earlier if it meant that you could drop a few pounds and give up a little bit of sleep on the weekend I thought the seat you can't take a nap you know maybe you eat your meal at the regular time to go back to bed for a couple hours from you could you could do that if we can do whatever you want right was he of things to do like you know I don't know host a radio show but anyway if you could do that would you do that and you know at what's an ideal time for you to eat if you have a thought on that I would like to.
