"And is Phil going to do is Phil Henry will be doing some of his favourite bits from twenty eighteen. Yes, that's going to be a big show. You won't want to miss that. That'll be coming out on New Year's Eve, Phil Hendrie's favourite bits from twenty eighteen what's it called? It'll be fills some of Phil's favourite bits from twenty eighteen we hope he doesn't miss too many that you like, but these are what he likes. You're kidding, right? No. That's the that's the title of the show that'll be the title of the show. And I just said I don't know whether I wanna be unhedged show or not I think you'll probably be in a few of them. Yes. And which ones well what you're dealing with tonight. I well what we're dealing with tonight is I put this on me. I put this on me. I made an effort to explain what thanksgiving and Christmas holidays are like for those of us who are in the grocery store supermarket business and people misread it. They thought I was talking about jail rape. I don't know. How all I'm trying to say is that when thanksgiving and Christmas rolls around. It's extremely busy in the grocery business as well. Paper should imagine that it is. Absolutely. If you're you go shopping could see that. Yes. And we just grit we hold onto something when we think about it, not we're working. But when I think about Christmas and New Year's I gotta stop I have to hold onto something and. It is very difficult to explain but on nominally or automatically. I guess my. But you know, it sticks up. Yes. Like. I don't know. Well, you don't want people to think the what's happening is you're grabbing I'm grabbing something grinning my teeth, and I stick my butt out. And what does that mean? Three guesses, so it's very automatic. So it's nothing I think about people will say to grocery store clerk. Hey thanksgiving, and you grab a hold of the sides of a refrigerator. Grit your teeth grit your teeth and just military sounded like you didn't. I you did what we're trying to do an impression. No. I just went grant like that. Maybe maybe I should do and pressures of you. I'm not I wouldn't be good enough about like Henry. Okay. Bob. Everyone knows what the great the great Bob grain. I don't don't don't give me the great don't start lately. Unreal. Don't start spreading it on. Nice and thick and laying that a really good base. First of APR aqap preserved. Yeah. You don't need to do. And I know what you do. But yes, I know I'm great in the grocery business. All I'm trying to save. When someone says, hey, Bob next week is Christmas week. I grabbed the size of a refrigerator grit. My teeth close by is pushed by bud out and go. Yeah, you're just you're anticipating hearing -ticipant. Yeah. And that's what that's what being a grocery store owner and CEO grocery chain. Is like during the thanksgiving and Christmas season. Now, here's the thing to understand. I am a grocery. I'm in the retail business. I mean, the food the the retail food business this whole idea of being a grocery clerk or the grocery store is yet technically, right? But you have to understand how hard I fought. And what I've overcome to get to where I am today. The head of Frazier foods when we bought this company. It wasn't just me. It was me about five or six of my partners that I slowly. But surely I bought them out. And now, I'm the majority stakeholder in Frazier foods until you're not just the CEO, you the majority owner that is correct. Yes. And so I've been up some tough roads. And when you say owner goes the grocery guy. Once again, I'm grabbing the site of a refrigerator, and I don't wanna have to do that. So it isn't just the thanksgiving. It's not just thanksgiving. It's not just Christmas anytime someone says there goes Bob green, grocery store owner. I just I turn..

Another thing. Why don't you? When we get some time, Bob, but I got a clear up studio time for it. Phillips got the studio booked up booked up Hollywood or something I'm just asking is that you give me an opportunity to go on. Today. Hundred ninety followers. Okay. It can be very embarrassing. I do get this over the Twitter feed every day, and I got two hundred ninety and then I look at dick when he's got three thousand that. I'm picking nothing, but crap from people. I wonder how many people shop at Frazier foods run Twitter Twitter is really good promotional piece of infrastructure. And if you use it, right? It can help you. But if you wanna get more followers, I think that's what you do. You follow people who've got a lot of followers. They may re tweet something you've written. And when they re tweet it it's going to a lot of people. Re tweet about planned conversing with some of these terms man understand everybody uses these terms over on Twitter Twitter, and you know, it because they're going to sit. Listen to these jackasses every day talking about re tweeting is there's a little thing that tells you wanna re tweet this or not re tweet what someone else's comments. You know what? But can you go over there? I go there and Saturday and show you how. Well, I mean, I completely nipped sounds like to me if you don't mind me saying. A primer. Gauri sanity. All right. I mean, I I guess doing it wrong. But I like I said, I love you. If I need help from guy who's got a middle plate to knock that off. Okay. I'm not saying nothing. I'm just saying that I go. But you're right. I do I need help. So come on over. Know you in the plate near head. A man. Played by more flowers of you. So does that help you out? Now, I don't know if you have anything else you wanna say. A lot of people on the Trump thing. And he got his ass kicked last night. Right. No, no. "You're like, oh, man commanded great. But in the moment, it was kind of like how he's he's a crank. But we know is gonna come around. But then you see it in the two thousand eighteen lens and its had read it in a while. That's probably a fair point. But I don't know. I just I mean, I'm interested to see it with that idea in mind. I the thing is is different. I we talk about this. We podcast called the rewatch was about going backwards in legislating continents. Like, look it was nineteen ninety seven or nineteen hundred six whatever it was. It was just like its way was that's the way of and he's so good in that movie. I still the one thing that him and held hunt getting together. The age difference. It is a tiny bit of a leap of faith. But then you think like, well, I take a leap of faith at every movie. So this is like a very tiny one. I mean in this town, I live here. And you're like looking at that and worried about the age difference. I I mean, I I don't I don't see it myself. I was always very comfortable with it. But yeah, there's a little bit of a span there. But I feel like I've seen that enough. Where would you live from Nicholson? We studying him were you watching like a little weird things? He did front row seat, baby. It was great. Yeah. I I don't know. I can't tell you. Specifically what I learned. I mean, hard working in took the were the the role incredibly seriously and was never easy was never easy for him. You know, Jim Brooks did a wonderful job with the movie and and everyone cared a lot. And nothing was taken. For granted. Not one moment. You know, the everybody was was constantly trying to make whatever it was better. And it's amazing because the script really is great. And yet you'd get in. And we would start with seeing. And I remember thinking, this is horrible. This is never going to work. And and then, you know, it would it was just trying to find it, and it would get better and get honed. And you know, Jim has. An incredible error. And and it would just get better big sports fan that Jim Brooks. Yeah. See him at a lot of Cooper Gant. He's like a diehard tortured could prevent. Yup. It's amazing hasn't written the clippers sports movie that the world bids. He'd be the perfect person that would be he would do on Wrexham. Well, he didn't have had one name sports movie. Rudd and and Reese day, he was a softball. And that. Clippers movie a and E clipper Smith, so that movie when that movie cleaned up at the Oscars. You wanted is one of those movies are just like oh that that next person's going up. We the big movie that you're was was Titanic to while people. Don't remember that that was the other movie that was in the category, which was good year. Little little feature link motion picture. People. Remember? Yeah, was supposed to be a bust was supposed to be a bomb. They spent so much money. It's going to be the biggest bomb in Hollywood history. It is funny and intend that happens half the time that will be a big really good, right? Then the other time it really is a disaster. A yeah. Who would you start hearing the buzz about oh my God? This is kgo. She's that. It's a guy. Yes is actually pretty any buzz. Good buzz, baby. Good or bad. You know? It's like, maybe that's the message out of that. Though, the autofocus with Bob grain is one of the most disturbing darkest kind of fascinating cable movies that comes on when you flip channels, and it's like. Oh, yeah. This movie. Bob crane. It's kinda hard to explain you know, I'm in my late forties. Like that like the guy from HOGAN heroes. Hogan's heroes. Like that was like everybody knew who that was you know, or like Mr. Brady or I don't know the dad from my three sons there were like these twenty people that were just in your life. And you just assume they were perfectly normal. And he was not normal. He was the opposite. When that stuff started come out. It was absolutely flabbergasting really Bob cream..

"So this is what's live, and that's what they have queued over the giant pizza box. And I thought that was a live one. That's it. The discussion I had with guts in the kitchen was he was getting a bowl of cereal tied himself over. So we have little cereal dispensers, which is like the coolest thing ever agreed and they have milk in the fridge might be the hardest thing for me to say no to on a daily basis when you like this, you eat healthy this how far removed I am from eating healthy. I said, Gus, I go, hey, Gus one time I was getting a bowl of cereal here and we didn't have milk. He'll tell me about him doing that. Instead. I used half and half. That was like. 'cause I've done that too. There was this long pause and I go, it was delicious. It's like it's like lukewarm ice cream. Eating ice. It was cinnamon toast crunch. There's nothing redeeming about that meal. Now that's cream and cereal. Well, I don't know what could possibly, hey, it's low carb. The the, the the cream is very low car because coaches all car. Just be sitting toast carved is what it is like once you hit the fact that what you're eating breakfast, cereal, you can't kid yourself into thinking that's health anymore. So why give a shit or the half nap on. Remember when I was thinking, I'm just living my life. Works. It's still mathematically possible to not have more than what you already doing done over the Clinton. Paul, how's enjoy the fall? I remember all those commercials when I was a kid trying to convince you that breakfast cereals actually good for you. So we are part of a balanced brick. Yeah, I mean, sure. I guess. The paper with. That's like the myth of the the food pyramid that we were taught, which the bottom was just all majority. Your diet should be all grand with no specifications of what those grains were. And so then they're like, oh, look, cereals, grains just Shelvin kids. There was also this weird shift. The country went through when we went from being a weak country in amber waves of grain born born country and like everything we make is corn based and somehow corn falls into grains. I guess court has also really, I wrong on a podcast once they can look it up, but evidently it is a starchy vegetable grain, but it's grain when its dried. Is that what? Does that make sense? Yes. So if you're eating corn on the cob, it's designated differently than if it's dried out by who who doesn't make a vegetable people who were in the comments section of the ripping me about what are you talking about who drives Cornell, but when you make tortilla chips, but that's when it becomes a grain evidently roaring this, do you think of popcorn is a. Do you think of popcorn as a vegetable this? Not a grain, but it's it's got to be a green green. Was it dude because transformation? Yeah, that's a chemical reaction. I mean, it's still grain based in corns zero. Bob grain and a fruit. You're absolutely zero chemicals involved. Does he. Caboodle harvest for eating green grass structure. It's a fruit. That's the botanical definite does technically a fruit. That's weird. So what you're doing when you eat popcorn is there's a little bit of water in your Evaporating. That's great. No. I mean, I'm good card guy, good car guys, and you don't normally corn, then coins dot com. Yellow corn tortillas on occasion because they're better than any other tortilla hawks, just yellow corn. For some reason. I, I mean, I'd have to look it up like a lot of things that I've looked up as what I should eat. "Lakewood anything went and created a fantasy of the old west endures to this day you know i often have troubles with biopics and i have to say that i really enjoyed tom of finland and it did everything that i wanted to do and more and it was nice that i had daddy in the muscle academy kind of as that counterpoint to be able to compare 'cause there's too often when i'm watching a bio pic and i sit there and i thank god i just wish there was a documentary why couldn't they've taken the the money that they spent on this thing and made a documentary about it instead so i mean no offence to any of our listeners but things like autofocus or man in the moon i mean it's just like i would rather see a really good documentary about bob grain i'd rather see really good documentary about andy kaufman rather than these like really gussied up biopics at least in this case we have both and i think the time of finland really stands on its own it does a great job without needing yeah we didn't leave me with a thousand questions like other biopics do and it was able to tell a story in a movie fashion but also give me enough factbased idea items that i didn't feel like i was being cheated and you're angry and probably you would always i think rather paid complementary simply because i don't want to be watching something and trying to guess how much of this is fat and how much of this is somebody's interpretation of it though even a documentary clearly is an interpretation going on by the filmmaker who decides what goes in and what doesn't you know what with an and what is operating kind of in the background that's just the nature of the beast but i love documentaries because yes i really would like to hear people really talk about what was going on at that time i wanna see people saying oh we you know tom he did all these great throwing but you know it actually really kind of a shy or now that the whatever it doesn't matter what but i'm ask.
