"Summer iran dark air. Hey okay so god. I have third a complicated story. I'm i was like okay. So i was like super super worry and paranoid because i was like totally convinced that my boyfriend was cheating on me. We've been together for like super longtime. And i'm thinking like marriage and kids and like i'm ready. You know what i mean. He and so. I was like super worried and paranoid Because he wouldn't spend the night at my house he was always like panicked. Unlikely had to go. And so i'm like okay. He's totally cheating on me right like you would think that to race. And so then. When night he accidentally falls asleep at my house. And i wake up in the middle of the night i look over at him and he's like covered in like gray for and i'm like okay. Stop stop rick right there. He's covered in grey first. Rafer head to tell like does. What's your boyfriend's name. Is paul to just pull have a fuzzy fetish. No i'm talking about like a norwegian elkhound like he's covered in for like he's aware like my boyfriend is a werewolf. Yeah do you have any evidence of him in his lupine state. well. I confronted him. I'm like really like we've been together for like seven years and he didn't stop to think that maybe i need to know that you're freaking where wolf right and so i'm like all this time is wasted. Because like are we going to get married. Are we gonna have like where will be like. I don't know if i want to be like a parent who like a by species baby. Or i don't even know i just feel like. Is that even work. I wonder. I wonder if genetically the dna can be passed on. Or if it's passed on through the mother or through the spermatozoa robbery. Could i even carry like a werewolf baby term. You know what i mean. Would it like him out of my belly. anyway. I'm just like panicked because like i'm talking to my friends and they're all married right and so i'm just like what am i going to tell them that i'm marrying like aware wolf and so i. I don't know what to do you'd have to be. You'd have to be married during the daytime. Exactly right i don't even know the particulars of like the where wolf situation. Which is why. I'm calling in. Do you think your family would accept him irene. I don't think. But i don't know i mean. My family is super religious. But we've never really dealt with like like species situations while they feel about where we'll you know. Here's another way to go. Would you be open to allowing him to bite you and Become aware yourself I don't know if it wouldn't impact my career. Maybe what's your occupation. i'm model. Yeah like how cliche is that right. Live in la and a little in this day and age in this modern day and age. We all know that models who differentiate themselves can often make unexciting and lucrative career. Perhaps if you were a lupine model you would find new sources of revenue in might help you on the especially on the night shoots. That's a good point. I mean i definitely would be different. We could be like a werewolf power couple. You know what i mean. Mike data pinkett and will smith but like where wolf. I like where this is going. Well summer what. An interesting quandary. You have thrown into our laps into our furry laps. And i wish you and paul the very best. And i believe there's love there and i believe that love conquers all. You really came me something. You have to take breaks from your phone and the news you have to check in with your feelings so that you can have compassionate and understanding empathy to reach out to a friend and check in to see how they're doing. I mean not. None of that is negotiable. Now we're going to survive. We're back and we're talking about the masked singer and how it's almost certainly evidence that the united states has in fact slid into a new dark age which there is no escape. Doctor drew was on it. See that's the kind of thing like if aliens came down. And i had to like defend the continued existence of human civilization. I think i could do a pretty good job until they brought up clips from that show. I couldn't defend us from like war crimes charges and stuff but not not that. Here's this guy who is on the radio giving medical advice to teens for twenty years He's dressed like a hippopotamus singing song. Poorly yeah you know. What a great. Oh what are what. are you gonna use a virus. Big lasers like just just just do it. Just be quick about it. If the first questions aliens ask is was. Sean spicer a good dancer. We're going to be in real trouble there. But you know who wasn't on the masked singer. Sean spicer robert bob welch's although he would've hated that show evidence of a communist conspiracy brought out so bob welch's appetite had been you know pretty sufficiently stirred by the nineteen fifties and again he had kind of climbed as high as the candy industry would get him so like what you see. In the late forties is he reaches the the heights that candyman can hit and he immediately starts screaming about how communists are going to have infiltrated. The democratic party are going to destroy democracy Isn't that lease a normal career. Check is yeah. The problem is that eminem mars was run guy marxist collectivists because he didn't have a wonka vader you know he could only go. I'm gonna make so many more fucking willie wonka reference. I predict you will. Oh it's not that. I do not have trouble. Seeing bob. welch is a lot like willy. Wonka on us. Because i think they both believe business owners should be able to kill children young. I agree then slave people. Yes he is. So bob welsh you know in the nineteen fifties starts getting way more into politics now. It's unclear precisely when his terror left began again. When you read this guy's background the stuff that wasn't just written. By the john birch society decades later it kind of comes out of left field like he's just a candyman and then boom. He's screaming about the new dark ages But however it started. It was in full form by july of nineteen fifty when he wrote this in a fundraising letter for a politician quote. The strategy of the socialist. Divide and conquer carlo businessman crooks so that nobody will speak up for them and strangle them with controls and taxation bribe all the farmers with their own money into a selfish pressure group for more. Bribes infiltrate the labor unions and convert them into political tools. Discredit the medical profession until the rest of the public clamours for government medicine attack every segment of our population with tactics with which alienate the support of all other segments the forces on the socialist side amount to a vast conspiracy to change our political and economic system. Your face changed. You went deep into that channel. Bob dark there's a lot i love their including the that socialists were going to discredit the medical profession. In order to convince people to demand government medicine was like no vice buddy with discredited. The medical profession was people going to the er and getting a forty thousand dollar bill for a three hour visit. That'll do it. Yeah there are two ways to go on on that thought process goes so this was the first time bob welsh use the word conspiracy in public statement and it would not be the last tragically. Welches increasingly unhinged rants about socialism did not translate into success at the ballot box. Probably because a lot of americans in nineteen fifty directly in recently benefited from massive social welfare projects. You actually feel the effects of government working for you and you're like oh maybe this isn't an evil thing you know and then yeah but millions of us didn't starve because of the civilian conservation roger bad conspiracy to be honest is the conspiracy that we didn't starve to death during the depression. Because i liked that. Yeah that was a good one. Yeah so yeah. He lost the race for lieutenant governor by margin of more than one hundred thousand votes which nineteen fifty was like most of the country with inflation ten million votes. Yeah so it was not a close election still. It is worth noting that nearly sixty thousand americans had cast their votes for. Bob welsh and his giant left wing conspiracy after his defeat. He wrote about his hopes that this core of supporters would in the next year's grow into quote a far stronger more militant and more effective force of political strength and other campaigns to come. He insisted this crusade has just started. Because it's always a good thing when right wing ideologues describe what they're doing is a crusade that that always really gets a white men all hot and bothered whenever you give them the opportunity to go on a crusade against Anybody who's not a white man so my motto jordan. Abc baby always be crusade. And that's what you gotta do singer..

"You know no of all places here. I really wasn't coming into this space. Expect them to do like we did was hoping for top ten and. Now we're snow. We're still searching for power and got some new parts works and we got our self a little bit in a slump saying all new parts they ready was made, but then turn around come here and they legalize the new engines for this race and we didn't have on. So we count on ourselves down again and it's amazing I turned around and just great engine ran great. Wasn't the probably most powerful engine on it had power and we've got the chassis really dial then thanks to Cleveland here. I race aboard with Hank as a chassis of. Consultant and here we are in victory circle. So they've got to be something here about the first part of the race now. You got up there where you needed to be. Did you make any changes at halftime or did you leave it just like it was very little at the half we were concerned about getting too carried away the changes in Jimmy Spencer happened by and he looked at the tires and he made a couple of little recommendations on the air pressure just like half pounds and A. Little Bit of Cameron Right Front, and boy I just I don't know if it was any faster, it just never slowed down stay the same pace all day. It looks like that they had you on the short runs your truck needed the long runs to make it happen even longer. Ron I'm terrible on restarts and boy I. Just I wasn't counting anything with two with five laps and. Yellow is GONNA come here. Anybody there ain't no way. I'm going to get a bad restart and that'd be it. Actually I wouldn't even look up the council apps down because I didn't want to. Just wrote it out and finally as the white flag as well, they won't throw yellow. Now I'm home very That's the only time I counted it after with this long. Did you feel like this? Williams never going to happen you want a lot darker racism and you want a lot championship? Yeah we did want lot in Arkansas one a lot local late model race in and really comes into truck series or high expectations. But you know we're in a hole. We're in a pretty serious hole with the lack of sponsorship first year last year sponsorship improved but still not enough the initiator. We did the dream come true. We Got Chrysler Corporation behind us and gave it adequate funding but we're still now winning. L. I end of people can go to your site get more on that block club Chicago dot org let's let's talk about this southside cowboy who's become a viral a video star during the pandemic the it is this will is Woodlawn where is he yes so he this is been popping up all over and recent weeks that I've been thinking that letter and I'm like where is this guy basically guided like dancing out of port and you've got a fat all but usually in you know in the city on the south side and all the people are like stopping in to take a video probably over their cars his name Adam Hollingsworth and he writes under the name dread head cowboy in he has been spotted you know twenty six in California thirty ninth street eighty seventh street he actually learned how to write with I'll go to a couple years ago and decided to kind of go out on these adventures Q. interchangeable are stuck at home said just like trotting down the street cable right outside and look at horse and he wants to ultimately be able to Q. teach kids about hearts as he said you know it really helped him change his own life and he would like to do that for kids as well and it's something that on the south side the bag you know a lot of you if they've never seen a black man as a cowboy and he waited to be that you know figure for them and let them know that they could queue you know get involved with writing well I like this story that's fine and well we'll end on a positive note this is fun and a lot of a lot of stories about people doing some singing and making some noise to kind of get a positive vibe going on and in in Pilsen there's there's some mariachi noise going on in there exactly and we care we are now he runs the mariachi Mexico the vocal group which he kind of coordinate a lot of different mariachis for event the people who are hiring at mariachi band for their wedding or their birthday and obviously all these events have been canceled so in regards what Karen said it's in the same home water started he could without stopped he would not stop playing so every night on Facebook he would perform just the people who whoever wanted to turn and to men and it just became a dedicated following and requests are coming in from all over the world he did it at that for a family in Colombia and he is being recorded I there's actually video on its Facebook page you do anything like that social distance accu performance in front of my house for their anniversary it just released we they've been making do with donations from people who are just you know watch them play on Facebook and asked them to do a special performance for their family member who's at home he is in room our Facebook or you know maybe in front of their house in a mass at least six feet away like that story and we need more we need more of those don't we exactly and yeah you can go to the mariachi mac both evoke group and you'll be able to watching performances that really does after uploading music and it so it sounds like summer and you know community and it's good stuff but we need right now John Zarrella block club Chicago extremely local news more tomorrow thanks and have a good day thank god detail is almost seven twenty eight right now and woke means well actually they say the modern usage is as follows by the late two thousand tens woke had taken to indicate healthy paranoia specially about issues of racial and political justice has been adopted as a more generic slang term has been the subject of memes for example MTV news identified as a key teen slang word in two thousand sixteen okay got that now woke W. O. K. E. okay and I believe David Litt would kinda mean the same as dope it's cool right right it's cool it's kind of what I thought but I wanted I figured you knew cell I had an idea the well I yeah I woke I was confused by Walt dope on I'm hip to dope but let Naina and now Nick the dealio is going to take that line right what is that it sure he does have a concert out of content yeah he'll he'll be playing me saying I know about dope thanks a lot Nick yeah he's eyes when I come in in the morning I see all these messages left over from his all night show he gets into some in very interesting topics as me and he's got he's got quite a loyal I wouldn't call him a cult following because it's it's it's large but he he's he's doing some interesting things here on the radio before we get in here actually he's he's on the radio till four in the morning then it's the WGN TV morning news simulcasting our then we start right after the five AM news and I I see by the messages this morning that he he was talking about Sinatra Seinfeld video games and he he the flinstones he's here he covers he covers a lot of ground doesn't E. mystery science theater he he was into a lot of television shows apparently during the during the night last night and sometimes I come in here and and some of the messages I see that some of the texts are are quite interesting quite amusing I think he's on a big TV jag last night though from what I'm seeing over here anyway I coming up here on the program we'll hear from the editor in chief of linkedin who talk to astronaut Scott Kelly which is very interesting because Scott Kelly knows about isolation he I believe has been in space more time more hours spent in outer space than anybody else and so he's got some advice for Florentine people folks in isolation and we'll get to that coming up this morning at seven forty eight right now.

Listen like we talked about this before. Paul Blackthorn Doc. Thorn in Stephen Mill had great. I I know people talk you know and and again we are we are we are even fans for how. Oh He's grown into this role going in. Since the beginning there've been there were certain actors and actresses that bonded really well with onscreen and pullback the buck doors character was one of those and so with this going into the last season of static that they were able to to have of them in this episode and they make a key part of this episode. Be that relationship that relationship between Quinton and Oliver her and anonymously quin Oliver and Laurel Right. 'cause throwing Laurel thing and there was even better because even though this this is He knows this lure is lower from Earth to we know that last season away she and Quinn kind of dealt those last two seasons how they dealt with each other in how they form that Bond I. That's that's her father you know and he got he got the deal with his daughter again. They both gave themselves that that that closure in ensuring that foreclosure this episode like it's it was it was so what said. Yeah absolutely got what they needed Obviously is going to take Oliver longer. Because he's Oliver Queen Right But like I I I forgot how much I just missed. Missed them together like Gwen. How far they've come from carriage that in this reality if you will that this was quinton having not been killed by Diaz and still being mayor and and and and that relationship that he has with Oliver and carrying on there? It's like you're right. Oliver need to not to accept his fate. Right which is which is also again it. Plays on what we've been seeing over an air On on on the flash and what I love about is we actually flipped it right before because the entire hi up to this point and this y love we could have probably done Aro- and Flash together and one thing will review. Because I feel like the season's have complement each other so well way better than ever before up to this point on the flash. We've been having bury out Irish and the rest of the team kind of accepting accepting Oliver Berries. Fate they've been okay with it. We started his fate. Mayor's GonNa die and then what happens is is that we find out that buried got a lot of doubt Berry got a Lotta doubt about a lot of doubt and even to that point gives them to that temptation of being able to live really fun to watch them unpacked. I had been on the podcast right right watching them unpack the brave face and then get to some truth by everyone is lake right over here on on Ero though is the opposite opposite right since the beginning. Isn't that first episode basically. I don't believe there's monitor shit. We're GONNA I'm doing this now but I'm trying to find a way around this. We're going to build. Oh Bob dark and we're going to we'RE GOING TO DO DWARF STAR taking out we're going to do all we can to kill this motherfucker and then episode come out is like all of a sudden. You've you've been doing is like we said it's all all of the Monitor's plan but also at this point Kennedy to get to the point where it to the point of no return. We need to test your commitment. So are you are gonNA stop digging around and try and try to try to fight me or you're going to fall in line. Do what you gotTa do to save the world to accept your fate and unlike what happened. The Flash Oliver does. Oliver accepts his fate. He accepts what he's gotTa do. And when I love about it is is the opposite of what we think about these characters. Right buried uses the one that is so noble and never gives in right an Oliver's of one. That's so stubborn. And always have the fight in them as never willing willing to accept his fate for what it is right. This is the defining characteristic of that character but this is also all understanding that this is what has to be done and and and you see that he's more accepting of it and and also for good reason right when you compared to the flash like last season and again I almost now which we combine these two two episodes last season a flash you know berry to spend time with his daughter but it ends with his daughter order being arrangement timeline so in that episode berries yeah so in the episode berries talked when when talking to speak for represented his mother whose verbal tation the speed force. She's like why do you have now where it come from. He's like it's like I've lived more I now instead of chasing after my past I now see a future you just trying to live for the future have a wife I I know that in the future I have a daughter like I'm trying to get to that point over on the hand has kind of experts in fact he's got in this season he's dealing with its kids now he got that closure right like if if Oliver I think the monitoring knows that right if all the modern and never brought a William and mia to this time line he knows that he never gets he never he never ever because Oliver Board he never away always dealt always there. Did I do the right thing here. Oliver knows we've fighting for and he sees how his kids I grew up. He got the spin time with his kids. It's hard to tell somebody that they have to to die or they have to do. These things said their fate and then they're never going to kiss again monitor and again in something that we didn't cross Mine Monitor. Says I know cool. I WANNA get your time to spend time with your kids. You know. We know that William as a kid. Yeah Times uh-huh a gift. William never responded to your your your your tax when you when young. Here's him any time you could you got that closure. Will he got to sit down and talk to William Right. He got closure there. He got to spend time with me who was just an infant. When he last saw her he gets to spend time with their train her last episode? He's got this moment. So so now he's actually primed and ready to have this the confrontation where he has a finally at this point. Accept Your fate like Basle last test like you'd like unwilling unknowingly to him. He's on everything else monitors. He's always been on a mission like why not do says you've done all the mission we want. What do you mean Edna emissions like everything? We wanted to do everything. All of them thought. You're on your own. That was part of us. It's part of the part of the grand plan right and now last last thing though is to test your commitment like are you fully in are you. Are you GonNa be out are you gonNA. Are you gonNA waiver on this. And we see here Oliver. He does but at some point he finally gets to the point where he accepts it. And I'm like make sense like the way that it happens here versus the way it happened on the flash. They make so much sense for the care. Even though if you had told me this if I hadn't seen and how they pulled it off this season and just told me what happened out of out of character for carriage Berry Berry would be the one never given all won the Feis till till I'll tell you he. He collapsed right. But here when you go through and you see how they've done it how they told the story makes a hundred percent says complete sex workers And said I just I love how they did it. They don't they don't they. Don't go. How how how he wakes up and we? I was drugged Lila's and we all know I wasn't everybody's like Oh. Yeah no it's fine. She was part of the plane. It was so jarred the the kids. Something's wrong right right right. Well I mean that in fucking alive just boy the next one now because that's the one that got me just I just love that dude. Love Him on the show. But I'm I'm glad boroughs able to get some peace out of that Shit. You know what I'm saying. Well Yeah and the thing that quietly thing about this and we've talked much about how how Oliver's journeys happening this what they've done floral here is benefit and and honestly I'm really happy because Katie. CASSIE is another one. That's been here since the beginning right and we can honestly say that Katy cat character hasn't always been loved by.

going to be ghostly second live event it's very exciting so it's at Georgetown worth that yet lawler's on Archer Avenue for those that know the south side all of you people that are not from Chicago are like okay what's that Sabar it's about but Archer Avenue Man Archer Avenue is one of the most haunted spots in all of the world if you haven't listened to our very first episode the Resurrection Mary Episode Yeah Need to listen also right before we hit the stage is that even a thing for podcasters five so okay but it's not really a stage though per se table era of space piece maybe maybe I should say before we hit the Mike's Although please don't hit the mic again rebecca that's what I like to our good friends bob dark will make their first solo live recording ever glue yeah we're very excited for them so it's be it's going to be an event we I'm going to actually announce what we're GONNA be talking about right now you are I thought we were gonNA wait no I want to I want people to know okay we're GONNA be talking about John Wayne Casey matches John Wayne no that would I mean it'd be very different episodes would be it would be and November is going to be our clown theme yes we're not GonNa do just so happened that got a couple of months here got a couple of clown ideas and I wanna I wanna really do these yeah so today we continue our exploration of extra systems. are they real yeah I now today's going to be a little bit more closer I guess to a traditional episode or I guess kind of not though it's not Yeah but that's okay it's going to be a really good episode I'm really excited I have to admit I'm really starting to question my skepticism a little bit here it's it's really hard for me not to but then if you ask me if I believe in demons I'd say no so really torn on this whole concept of exercises and I asked Rebecca for a couple of episodes before we do our debate yeah so we will debate yeah we will eventually but we're going to save that for our last episode of October's that gives you something to look forward two yeah so we're GonNa more BA- focusing on just kind of getting you the information getting ourselves information and just kind of exploring yeah yeah so right now my mind's a little scattered I'm a little shaken up but we must continue this and see it through to the end right yeah I mean if I'm going to be honest I am feeling a little scattered to I went into this feeling pretty sure I believed but now especially after this case we're GonNa talk about today I'm honestly not ashore really yeah in the end I have a lot of questions and nod a lot of answers so I'm hoping that our next few weeks are going to help I'm hoping to it's weird we're kind of changing positions here this is not a plan thing that we're meeting in the middle and then we're going to see where find out right yeah yeah so should we just get into the listeners mail yeah yes episode going right all right so we need to continue with our listeners story from last week Yes yes our last episode so we had an lease or I'm not sure but she was less told us her mother story and this week we're going to hear her story Ooh Okay Okay so she's if you remember her mother was in within Estonia that's where she grew up she said nothing really supernatural happen when she was in Estonia and she said I always thought that would be so cool oh she moved to the states almost ten years ago her husband is in the military we got stationed in Fort Sill Oklahoma it's famous About that cliff words Komo jumped off heard that Ba Frano yeah yeah we heard ghost stories about people have seen somebody jump off from there over over again screaming stuff like this one day me and my husband we decided to go over there take some pictures and maybe catch a ghost on the picture picture not nice but actually we didn't catch anything weird on the pictures but it didn't stop us we went to Geronimo's grave we took pictures over there and after that we went to ambrose the spring in major's wife hanged herself years ago that sounds lovely once again I took pictures and it was pretty dark when we finally started to drive back home while we were driving thing I took a few pictures from the car window it was a clear starry night where we started to look at them closer made a shocking discovery yeah so the first two pictures are made within a few minutes of each other you can clearly see what looks like an orb on the second one what it is we don't know we were brave enough to go back there in the second day and really on the spot there's only grass and bushes it they couldn't see what could have caused or basically is what it sounds like so really scared them at night Okay Stars Moon Camera Hey I thought we were debating stories a we're not no we're not a listeners are interesting answering questions oh I see yeah okay I thought it was directed at me sorry at wet even crappier we started to look at pictures while you're driving back and you can see that weird falls gone them once again it was clear evening it was enough ghost hunting for us maybe you can find a good explanation was going on because we couldn't anyway a month later we moved to another house in Fort Sill and the strangest things started to happen we heard clear I'm guessing she could hear clearly footsteps Coming ups from upstairs many times it was just me and my husband and our ten month will be be living their doors were opening by themselves you could say it's just a breeze what's opening them but that's opening them but it was the middle of winter and all the windows were locked once When I went upstairs to see what my daughter was doing so I saw her little swinging chair swinging by itself little swinging chairs we there's a baby they have those little chairs yeah yeah yeah and then they swing yeah she was sleeping in her crib and there was no one else in the house that sounds like a horror movie to me like seared the I'm pretty sure I've seen that in a horror movie you up you go into your kid's room and their toys planned by itself like a wind up toy playing by itself and your kids sleeping that's terrifying how we are stationed in Fort Riley Kansas and unexplainable things are going on again? I'm not lying because I have no reason for it. She thinks she's a little defensive okay so you were first when we moved we reading dinner downstairs and we all heard running footsteps upstairs my husband went to check and of course there's no one there once when I was coming downstairs I saw that a big shadow rising behind me I turned around and nothing my husband were downstairs I was in the bathroom I heard knocking on the door I opened it and once again no one one f. o. sleep on the couch and suddenly my seven year old man been going on for a while woke me up and asked Mommy what's that we both heard footsteps coming downstairs and then they just stopped another time I was in the kitchen and heard footsteps coming downstairs jumped around the corner and the stairs were empty one evening when I got my kids to sleep and I went to the bedroom close the door for the late in the closet turned on my husband and I both saw it a few weeks after that I was home alone with my youngest one when the hallway hallway late went on right behind me on that day I just grabbed my daughter and awaited aside from my husband to arrive pretty sure it would do that again I would have done that many times I've seen a shadow under the door lake someone's behind it one evening when our neighbors next door came by and we started talking about what we're experiencing it turns out they had the same thing going on in their house shadows and footsteps and the same time we were talking some books out from the closet sorry it's been awhile since sight read this one again and one other thing is how kids toys are now starting to sing in the middle of the night you would think maybe batteries are almost empty but they can't colby empty at the same time right I talked to this about talked about this with my co worker and he said how the Houston have ghost tours back in the day right where I'm living he is retired for the military now but you also live in Fort Riley and he knows everything about this place so obviously there is something going on more Riley and Fort Sill maybe she needs an exorcism she I actually think she might need some sort of cleansing slab would be my recommendation again we are not professional slow so we're not necessarily just follow my advice on that but anyway so she said these are my go stories I am a tree lever because there's just so much going on that I can't explain I mean seriously it's like a horror movie she's got so much going on that they're more like one of those go shows you know where they talked to the people whose houses are haunted it's classic Ghost Adventures Okay what it's okay there are new sponsor I like Honda the haunted is one of my favorite ones I don't care if I think we talked about this one spoke my one friend thought that it was I thought this to actually that because it's on animal planet we thought it was called the hunted why is job on on Animal Planet but no it's called the haunting and it's great because it talks about how pets can sense things but if they actually do a really good job of the re-creations on that one okay I just wanted to give a quick thank you yes again to our listener she's she shared so much with uh-huh yeah absolutely and and that was pretty brave I mean she's obviously experiencing quite a bit and I can understand why she's a believer okay all right so again if you want your ghost story you're like I've had stuff happened me please email I've been emailing all the time and you never return my emails yeah because you keep writing about how I saw that wasn't in orb and.

"This is the story of Louise Brooks, the nineteen twenties it girl with her bobbed dark hair, heavy eyeliner and reckless ways. But before she was famous she was fifteen and McGovern plays Norma. A sedate woman from Wichita Kansas who chaperones the young Louise Brooks played by Haley, Lu Richardson, as she makes her first trip from Kansas City to New York Norma's husband less than enthusiastic, but her sons urge her to go, I think it's great. Your father was very bad. This is nineteen twenty two. And you heard things have changed women and do whatever they want including take a trip to New York. Well that trip to New York will change the lives of both Norma. And Louise, again, the film is the chaperone and joining us from the PR studios in New York is writer, Julian Fellowes. Hi, Julian hi and star and producer one of the producers of the film, Elizabeth McGovern. A welcome to you as well high. And can we start with you? You always seem to get great clothing. I mean, your character has is caught actually maybe in between two hours. She's this kind of timid woman from Wichita, and she's in long skirts and short jackets in the beautiful hats of the day and young Louise Brooks is in what seemed to be the coming flapper dresses talk a little bit about this character, and what she meant to you. Well, I loved the idea that it was a story about a woman who is changing alongside a changing country making discoveries about herself in late middle age, which is not a story that is told very much in the time. And I thought it was a really charming entertaining conceit that she is impelled into this. Life's revelation by her interaction with the young girl who's meant to be her charge who then becomes the poster child icon symbol of this. Changing time which was nineteen twenty s America. And Louise Brooks became emblematic of this free. The liberation of women in the form of the flapper which represented looser clothes and looser morality and my character. She has constructed this house of cards on which she's based her life, which is this moral code that she's inherited and in the course of this journey. She takes with Louise Brooks, she discovers herself and learns how to own her own sexual life. We can't give away any of those plot twists and turns that you mentioned. But here she is sort of in the beginning trying to wrangle this Colt. Louise Brooks whose bounding into a whole other era, the jazz age and your character is taken Louise to task for dining with two men. She'd just meant we We is. is. I am not your enemy. I have not come along to harass you unclear to pretend. But did you think back then when we were having dinner that they were going to have their way with me in the in the dining car under the table. She doesn't know not without a chaperone. Why not because it isn't done? Why not because of the appearance of impropriety and Julian Fellowes, I wanna bring you in now because there we have Louise Brooks and her chaperone the movie, of course, drove us to Google and Louise Brooks did have a chaperone. She Louise Brooks live from nineteen o six to eighty five put out her memoir in nineteen seventy four Lulu in which he writes, one paragraph about Alice mills, the stocky bespectacled housewife of thirty-six who having fallen idiotically in love with the beautiful Ted Shawn who was one of the owners of the dance company decided to study dance with him. I tolerated MRs mills provincialism because she shared my love of the theatre. So that's the real chaperone in the little we know about her you make your chaperone, very different. Well, my chaperone is lorrimore Jacci shepherd right novel. The. Chaperone Alice mills apart from Lewis is own rather disparaging reference to is unknown to us. And what Laura did is take that structure?.
