"All year long Look at that Yeah yeah And then when you roll them down to your wrist they look great when you're riding a bike Or you could cut the tide up a tube sock and put them over your head That's not the same Yeah Okay Hi bob Chris we paid so much money for those things I got a pair in my drawer Yeah they were way too expensive for what they are They look expensive We are idiots Okay On the bob Obama Lordy there are more tapes Dear God Most amazing things to come into McCarthy being exposed for having some level of human decency that he quickly was able to squelch but I mean this is just hilarious isn't it Yeah yeah In fact what this has done this series of tapes has given us a scientific measure of how long it takes a Republican spine to turn to Jell-O right So you've got these days with Kevin McCarthy Let's say January 10th is the centerpiece of the tapes Those are the first batch of tapes that we got on Friday January 10 And then by I think it was the date of the second impeachment It was January 13 So in three days Kevin McCarthy's spine went from hey you know maybe we should step away from this Trump guy to maybe we should defend this Trump guy Right And that was I mean three days That's all it took for everything to revert back You know I compare all of this to sort of the days after 9 11 Where there was an opportunity after 9 11 to bring the world together to unite the world around positive things Let's say okay after this catastrophe everyone's back in the United States hey let's do something about the climate now Let's do something about green energy now Let's all unite around some sort of positive proactive cause Instead we frittered it away on invasions and occupations and things like that In this case right after January 6th there was an opportunity for the Republicans to see the light and go back to the world of the normals And they just abandoned that as a political expediency and making sure they're not they're not intimidated or bullied by the Trump red hats That's exactly what Eric swalwell said yesterday I actually was so foolish to.

The manmade island in dubai have one of those in cutter to it's called the pearl We lived at the pearl in these apartments. That were like twenty thousand dollars a month that obviously they paid for it and if he came home if he wasn't in the car with one of us they wouldn't let him to the gates. Wow because they're like you don't live here nor go back to where you live. He's like i come through these gates every day. it doesn't matter. Wow that's that's crazy. Gary it's tough to look at every single day. I bet it is. Yeah and and it is I that's a unique perspective Thank you. I appreciate the travel stories. I was kind of a curved thrown on you. I knew that my listeners do it all right. We talked about this when we did bands of our lives so Who haven't you seen live that you're now going. I need to see you know. I even omitted bands of our lives. I gave an answer to this. And when i gave the answer i thought i mean it's true but it's really not true so what i'll say is this. I don't go to as many of those concerts. I used to because of a modest. I don't like being around large groups of people. Cherif people annoy me when they're in groups way too much of Not being cognizant of the fact that you're not the only person on the planet fifty thousand other people stars of the people that star in the. They're they're the star of their own movie. You know i think is a ticket line but yeah look left walker right in and they bump into something. Yeah so. i don't do this as much as i used to primarily for that reason but what i have noticed and and the trip to See willie nelson and october is is a prime example. The trixie kissed with you. Guys is another example where i sort of. It's not really a rule. But i will do it because at this point and you know maybe i sound like i'm fifty because i'm almost fifty. I'm more in tune with the experiences that i have than with seeing an actual the actual band that i'm gonna see it's the group that's going. I mean i am excited about seeing kiss but i am excited. Just that we're doing a field trip. We're gonna go and as we're talk we're going to go eat somewhere i don't we're gonna all be killed go together. It's going to be the sense of you. Know detroit rock city like the movie right like yes. It is absolutely yeah stuff like that. So if i was if i was trying to make a bucket list of who. I haven't seen that. I would still like to see. I don't even know what the real answer to that is. But it's mostly. When do i get an opportunity to go. Because like if you're asking gary i'll let you go see anybody you wanna see the get one ticket and you're going by yourself. I probably wouldn't even go down. See i would love like bob chris sale you i go somewhere and see springsteen right because it would be so much fun. We'd have fun with pucci. Did he kill somebody with a knife? Jason Short did That's what Chris was saying. That's that's news to me. Well, is it not Jason Shourd, the guy that killed somebody with a knife? What's the best news to me? I've not heard told me this story, but it might have not been Jason shortly. I think it was. I think it was somebody else. Well, whatever. He's probably a murderer, too. "Again and since then you clean your space. Yes good for you. Yup i mean. I'm going into that room and the size of his close very very big and i could tell like. Just the height of that mannequin. He's a big guy. So i could. I could feel a sense of intimidation so you guys carry a lot of their personal items like this is actually closed pants. Shirts jackets that they wore on that day in february of nineteen ninety-seven. Jeez and if you ever see the exhibit you'll notice that meals pretty tall and very large man based on the size of his clothes so the instantly think and believe that that could be him him but later on the investigation it kind of takes a bit of a wild turn and we soon find out that it may not be a meal after a introductions and even discussions about the museum in its paranormal association. We gather our equipment and prep for tore. Bob introduces himself. He is the chairman of the museum and enact a police officer who's ready for his retirement. And then i'm also greeted by. Who approaches me with a very interesting book is a book called. Lapd fifty three by james elroy and it goes over the most intense history of the lapd crime scenes of nineteen fifty three complemented with actual crime scene photos. She mentions a story a particular chapter in the book. That is labeled baby elroy. This story is actually connected to the first thing that you encounter when you enter the museum. It's the cells now to this chapter. It seems that a person by the name of manuel basil aka manny. the molester. h twenty. Six was a lizard like individual from lincoln heights. Lapd popped him on on street and avenue seventeen but it was the bystanders that i built him mauling poor fifteen year old girl. That girl then told lapd that many the molester tried to get her to smoke a reefer she refused. Manny beat her and tore her clothing and attempted to repair. Manny is then arrested booked and thrown into jail into one of the cells now the following day. Manny is then later found dead apparent. Suicide is even rumor that the lapd cops that book them were the ones that responsible for his death and made it look like a suicide now. Ever since then females who pass by his cell have heard what sounds like cat calling. They feel like they're being watched. They feel very uncomfortable and some have even claimed to hear heavy breathing. Bob goes into the story at the beginning of our tour. The museum a good on this hallway. And we have to seattle's these. Two sales are filming cells and she said that she gets comments from people and we'll get from all over system that there are always having issues when they go to kill presence or take a photo or something something. Mr sound and consistent. Well we didn't tell that we had somebody that had committed suicide over there to get those interesting effects but you have things charleston said we have a lot of stuff we have a. We have certain things from anything to do with their debt. We have all that stuff here. Those are not the public view so you can probably going to walk in the room. Were restored but let me take a look. Similar stuff is confidential and it's controlled by the attorney and so they don't want us to release certain photos. Of course we figured yeah. See if you can get something in there if so then we can yes. I must interject here a pardon. My french holy shit. We are going to be able to be in a room. Filled with actual evidence boxes evidence that were collected from these crime scenes. These infamous crime scenes of the charles manson lobby janka and sharon tate. Case along with the marilyn monroe case. This museum literally has everything especially ghosts. We wanna make sure that we were allowed to walk into someplace that we're not allowed so we just wanna to make sure that we don't step on anybody's speed. Yeah it is. Tell us where to go and we're not to go so we're excited to be here and it's a pleasure on very well. I'm going to interject here once more. After reviewing this audio think i may have come up with an mvp. I'm gonna play it real quickly and tell me if you hear it sounds like breathing and then a man mumbling but here it is a pleasure to pleasure on. This recording was actually next door to the cells. Could this be manny molester. I distinctly remember standing on the opposite side away. From bob chris and even mad. No one was near me. We continue with the tour throughout the first level of the museum. We go through sections of the museum. That are dedicated to certain parts of the history of lapd and los angeles you go through a section of the riots natural disasters and then all of a sudden were taken to another room of cells. Caesar the orderly cells and right across from it is a display case of everything of los angeles in the eighties including pictures of richard ramirez. And then bob drops another big surprise on us. This job here was for the orleans at one time. We just added this past actually rested him. Which ramirez you arrested richard. If you watch the x. There's a booking photo that they use pro exit took that photograph lever. Not keep it. I haven't in my office put. Put it in there for years. That my sister sheila get because i've been looking at this thing for ten years can't believe that they had so. That's the original photo that i took. That always kept with me. Oh my god and then. This is the promo photo that they use for the netflix series. Yeah now at that time. We didn't know who he was so they just had his sketch once they found out it posted this so i rented him in december of eighty four and he was over in brentwood. Just note the sunset over by where. Oj lives and he was driving down the The residential area was really old seventy four pinot and he would stop and he's like looking around at a house and go further news zigzagging so We had another car that was in the area and they got a hold of us. They asked us if we could back because they want to stop the sky so we do. We put them over. Get him out of the car and then partner handcuffs him. I run up to the car. And i cleared it. Make sure there's nobody else in there and see. That used a screwdriver to punch the ignition to get going. So it's unreported stolen so we probably caused booked him for grand theft auto and he had a one on his record so the station and then Back then you had me knows this. He had put all the numbers in there. So i put the book number. Put the date. Twelve twelve eighty four and And then fingerprinted and process them. So that sudan the judge. Lets him out what he gets. A hold of us that Monday or tuesday. This is on a weekend and he gives us this lecture about pulling them over and he said.

"Street talk. Now. Here's your host Chris Davies. Welcome back. Let's go to the phones and talk to Bob. Good morning, Bob. Chris here. What's your question this morning? Hey, guys, I have a couple of questions. And this is great Me my wife wanted by our first house. And have a few questions. Um About. Is there any first time buyer programs? That's one question too. We have 50,000 that we could put down. Possibly more when we're ready to buy a house. That's my second question and three could you explain a little bit about what an escrow account is and what I would have to put down before because one banker, I won't say the name said that we would actually have to start an account for the taxes and stuff like that on the house. Did you give a little bit more detail? Exactly what that is. Yeah. So the those are all fantastic questions on the first time home, Buy a program. Most of those programs, income capped. So they go off the premise that if you're a first time home by your income is not going to be At the Ah median income, so to speak. So through Fannie and Freddie, most of those programs like captain 80% off the average median income, so that would put it in, at least in King County most zip codes that puts it at around $80,000 a year. The Washington State bond program. You go zero down on that program. It could go up to $145,000 a year. However, if utilize the zero down portion of it The interest rate tends to be a little bit higher, but other than the other than the fact that you can put 3% down, zero down. There's no real advantage, too. The first time home buy a program. Ah, if you're 50% down. That's going to be at least I would say that puts in the 5% category depending on what you want that monthly mortgage payment to bay so we can talk about that, too, in relation to where you're looking to buy in that type of thing. So You know, you really put yourself in this position where we can get Ah, fantastic interest rate. Ah, not having 20% down is not is certainly not a negative. Mortgage insurance is is not that expensive as long as the credit schools online on DA When you get uninterested rate that's in the in the twos, so to speak. I always recommend maximizing your money and be ableto. You know, maybe invest some of the funds as well. So from that perspective, ah, your other question is the the question regarding S grows So, yes. When The escrow account is the money set aside for taxes and insurance to make that payment when it comes due. So, for example, right now, second half taxes are due in October. Sonny. Any closings that occur in September? You looking at having to pay second half taxes and then then there's preparations that occurred. So instead of instead of you having to dig into your pockets and come up with a three or $4000 check to pay the first or second half taxes. The bank will make that for you, but they have a reserve account. That will accrue money each and every month because The The tax bill on a year to year basis or the insurance bill. On a year to year basis. You take that dollar amount you divided by 12 and that's what's collected monthly. So to you. Simple math. If your tax bill was $12,000 a year, That means the property tax portion of your house payment would be $1000. So each month $1000 off your payment has that has that has the added portion to it, and that goes into the escrow account now. What they do Ah, when they when they when they start in escrow account, they always have two extra months of payments in the escrow account on that's just there to account for any yearly increases. For example, property taxes went up last year from 18 to 19 from 19 to 20. In most cases, so therefore Instead of having to hit you up and say, Gosh, you know what? You could have a huge escrow account payment increase. We're going to go ahead and Ah, you have an extra couple months that to accommodate those things, and they they evaluate the escrow account yearly. But that's that's what that is. When you don't put 20% down, you have to have an escrow account. It's required through Fannie and Freddie. I'm gonna put you on hold, but because we're coming up to a news break, and I'll take more questions on those answers. Folks Number two, The show's 844 Talk one on one. Let's get a full four. Talk one on one..

J. Choi here at eighteen Choi has quietly just slipped under the radar here and he is at six under three under for his round he's right in the middle of the fairway playing his second shot to eighteen you get a great tee ball he has one hundred and fifty nine yards to the hole what do you think he caught lightning in a bottle starting with that eagle eleventh from there on and it's just been a birdie barrage for K. J. Choi this ball coming in very very high right to the right of the flag stick this looks to be a good shot it's gonna hit run up to the base of the first tier it should turn right to the left and then start come back which it is the ball is.

Conor McGregor nineteen percent big knockout win over cowboy EOC two forty six Patrick my homes for total touchdowns dude but I'm way will last two weeks thirty nine percent were he Moster he Moster once a week and two twenty four touchdowns forty two percent all of a good story man we love a guy that's been trying his hardest to get to a spot where he wants to go and gets his opportunity makes the most of it I was hoping he'd break the playoff records for rushing yards one touchdown and I just think the Packers ridges damned if they're gonna let him keep right on like that Eric Dickerson two forty eight and the other with two twenty Ricky Watters said five rushing to address the waters I remember that yeah I remember that Conor McGregor what you need for the forty second seconds that's a forty exactly and told cowboy went down well Frank item head kick and then a couple big punches a bigger job we collapse this one of the callers or Dallas Dallas sorry TJ I'm sorry guys that's pretty fun I mean couple shoulders to the nose of the US yeah break his nose in Stoneham and Conor just great I mean just absolute to come out great so let me ask a question you live let's just say a somewhere in a cold environment got it made you decide I'm a big fan of USC I'm a big fan of Conor McGregor let's go to Vegas let's do it let's go sounds great let's go we'll get the hotels yep we'll go looks you're sure we'll get some food yep right we might try game of chance or to put some some cash aside for that you go there you get the tickets yep and you might use a secondary market to get those tickets Kay and they're causing a couple Bucks okay so you do see the under card you enjoy the fight to enjoy all that but here comes the main event this is why you flew all the way out from a cold and viral Las Vegas Nevada and forty seconds later teller are you fine with the only a five a supplement my income by if you made it back in the game of chance right or deal betting on him could you make your money back but only had about a lot he was like minus three hundred or so thank you for us all I could think of is forty seconds that it's over right this fast I know over fast there's so many jokes you can bait make about lasting forty seconds in Las Vegas Nevada let's go to Bob in Kansas city and lan for here on the rich as you're right in the home of the chiefs what's up Bob Chris how you doing I do what I love your show this is the absolute best in the business really appreciate you saying that thank you and I just wanna make one little point okay he'll champions are those that play great defense I can run the football and I realize you know Hey the end and the forty Niners they have what four five first round draft picks on the defensive line sure do all that being said you know okay my homes is a generational talent you know what I will be surprised at all Kansas city wins the game but I just think that with San Francisco's defense and the way that they're able to run the football and I think they're good defensive line could make catcher could maybe hurry someone distros do some things of that nature and and you look at the New England Patriots yeah they had great quarterback would be the best of all time right Tom Brady but they also play great defense to run the football may have the defense of genius as a head coach bill Belichick so anyway I was that's my my thoughts on the on the game that's coming up I think San Francisco computer because of the points that I made Bob I think you just eloquently stated exactly why this match up is so absolutely fascinating thank you for the call I mean that's it do you just described the way San Francisco could win any just judge described the way Kansas city could win and they're both different styles of play and both have quarterbacks that can light it up one obviously more decorated in the other and interestingly enough the mall homes go Rapallo match up their combined win loss record and I know so many people hate the win loss record in in football is what it is well me because you know my homes lasted what a quarter before his knee cap went to the side of his leg that night and had met more come in and won that game that would have gone on the win loss record of bombs right that's said their combined fifty in thirteen a winning percentage of seven ninety four they've combined when seventy nine percent of the game since Startin both of them that isn't numero uno on the Superbowl last minimum twenty five starts including playoffs beating out the Brady Wilson match up of Superbowl forty nine when they came in a game winning a mere six seventy six percent of their games is the fun let's go to west in Chico California home town of al Rogers what's out west what's going on which you have the floor what's on your own so I just want to get your take on this you know well I don't know why but he's Batman writers he did a great job yesterday but just you know the for air defense was just in a little bit too much form but my real question is this do you think that might help is on the hot seat now for a you know not scheming to stop by remote surfers I don't know I don't know I'm not a really good season I think west the Smith brothers came to the fore this year and and their their issue was run stopping the run and and and thanks for the call was it's the this scheme that the Niners have it's difficult to know where the runs coming from because there's so many different ways for your eyes to be messed with pre snap after the snap and then this kid Moster is just running down hill with a steam that is really Derrick Henry like right like he goes around the edge and then he cuts up and he's gone yeah I was gonna ask you who your mind priests "Okay so we took the phone calls of Jim Manson or Richard Sherman about to take your phone calls at eight four four two a four inch but let's check army poll question update Capital One is reimagined banking by offering savings and checking accounts with no fees or minimums one of the nation's best savings rates Capital One what's in your wallet when you have over the Chris are you on the weekend Conor McGregor nineteen percent big knockout win over cowboy you'll see two forty six Patrick my homes for total touchdowns due to the number we will last two weeks thirty nine percent he Moster he Moster once a week at two twenty four touchdowns forty two percent all of a good story man we love a guy that's been trying his hardest to get to a spot where he wants to go and get this opportunity makes the most of it I was hoping he'd break the playoff records for rushing yards one touchdown and I just think the Packers ridges damned if they're gonna let him keep right on like that yeah Eric Dickerson two forty eight and not able to twenty Ricky Watters said five rushing to address the waters I remember that yeah I remember that Conor McGregor what you need forty the forty second seconds that's a forty exactly and so cowboy went down right not a head kick and then a couple big punches a bigger boy collapse this one of the count or Dallas Dallas sorry TJ I'm sorry guys that's that's pretty fun I mean couple shoulders to the nose of the US yeah break his nose in Stoneham and Conor just great I mean just absolutely took about the great so let me ask a question you live let's just say somewhere in a cold environment got it made you decide I'm a big fan of USC I'm a big fan of Conor McGregor let's go to Vegas let's do it let's go sounds great let's go we'll get the hotels yep we'll go we'll see a show we'll get some food yep right we might try game of chance or to put some some a cash aside for that you go there you get the tickets yep and you might use a secondary market to get those tickets Kay and they're causing a couple Bucks okay so you do see the under card you enjoy the fights you enjoy all that but here comes the main event this is why you flew all the way out from a cold and viral Las Vegas Nevada and forty seconds later it's over are you fine with the only if I buy a supplement my income by if you made it back in the game of chance right or get a betting on him could you make your money back but only had about a lot he was like minus three hundred or so I mean for us all I could think of is forty seconds that's it it's over right this fast I know over fast there's so many jokes you can take make about lasting forty seconds in Las Vegas Nevada let's go to Bob in Kansas city in line for here on the rich as you're right in the home of the chiefs what's up Bob Chris how you doing a two and a love your show the best is the absolute best in the business really appreciate you saying that thank you and I just wanna make one little point okay you know champions are those that play great defense I can run the football all and I realize you know a day and and the forty Niners they have what four five first round draft picks on the defensive line sure do yeah all that being said you know homes is a generational talent you know what I will be surprised at all Kansas city wins the game but I just think that with San Francisco's defense and the way that they're able to run the football and I think they're good defensive line could make catcher could maybe hurry somewhat distros do some things of that nature and and you look at the New England Patriots yeah they hit record back with me to the best of all time right Tom Brady but they also play great defense we run the football may have a deep sense of genius as the head coach and bill Belichick so anyway I was that's my my thoughts on the on the game that's coming up I think San Francisco computer because of the points that I made Bob I think you just eloquently stated exactly why this match up is so absolutely fascinating thank you for the call I mean that's it do you just described the way San Francisco could win any just judge described the way Kansas city could win and they're both different styles of play and both have quarterbacks that can light it up one obviously more decorated in the other and interestingly enough the mall homes go Rapallo match up their combined win loss record and I know so many people hate the win loss record in in football is what it is well me because you know my homes lasted what a quarter before his knee cap went to the site was like that night and had met more coming in won that game that would have gone on the win loss record all of the homes right that said their combined fifty in thirteen a winning percentage of seven ninety four they've combined when seventy nine percent of the game since starting both of them that isn't numero uno on the Superbowl last minimum twenty five starts including playoffs beating out the Brady Wilson match up of Super Bowl forty nine and they came in the game winning a mere six seventy six percent of their games will be fine let's go to yes in Chico California hometown of Andy Rogers what's out west what's going on which you have the floor what's on your own so I just want to get your take on this you know well I don't know why but he bashed may writers he did a great job yesterday but just you know the for their defense was just in a little bit too much form but my real question is this do you think that might help is on the hot seat now for you know not scheming to stop by remote servers I don't I don't know I'm not a really good season I think Wes the Smith brothers came to the fore this year and and their their issue was run stopping the run and and and thanks for the call was it's the this scheme that the Niners have it's difficult to know where the runs coming from because there's so many different ways for your eyes to be messed with pre snap after the snap and then this kid Moster is just running down hill with a steam that is really Derrick Henry like right like he goes around the edge and then he cuts up and he's gone yeah I was gonna ask you who your mind crease right cut him a little James Starks issue member when he was the running back when the Packers won their Super Bowl Moster looks like a little bigger than Starks though right well "To the Mississippi River the Marco Werman back with you again today. We're taking a trip down. The Mississippi. The Mississippi of today barely resembles a water system Mark Twain described in the eighteen eighties in his book life on the Mississippi Considering the Missouri its main branch. It is the longest river in the world for thousand three hundred miles. It seems safe to say that it is also the crooked river in the world. But since that time engineers have shaped contained and dredge the river transforming it into an efficient hydro superhighway to ship American products across the globe my customers for my corner all overseas. They're all overseas. He's everyone of them. And if our transportation efficiency falls shackling the river is also brought some steep cost to the environment wildlife and cities and towns along along the Mississippi and the challenges are only growing as climate. Change is added to the Max wetter weather in the Midwest. More intense hurricanes and sea level rise. The flooding on the Mississippi is sure to cost billions of dollars in damage and also lost business massive running underwater in fact this morning the Mississippi is buckling under the strain. The world's Jason Margolis brings us this story of a river system caught between competing interests the water that trains trains into the Mississippi comes from thirty two states and two Canadian provinces. It all eventually pours out into the Gulf of Mexico is called gravity. All got a pay US here. Here is bureau Louisiana about sixty miles southeast of New Orleans Ryan Lambert runs duck hunting and fishing tours. His Black Lab Logan sits by his side and a flat bottom boat a century ago the Mississippi River Delta was an area of vast coastal marshes but in the battle between between land and water. Water is killing it. We've lost two thousand square miles in last seventy years. which is you know the Grand Grand Canyon in one thousand nine hundred ninety six square miles? We've lost two thousand put another way. It'd be like wiping an area the size of Delaware off the map. Then there's the football field stat. Everybody down here talks about the football field stat. Every one hundred minutes of football fields worth of land is his swallowed by the sea. While we're out here we'll lose three football's land while we're out here. And he goes on twenty four hours a day seven days a week every single angled day we lose an land. These wetlands aren't just critical to people who live work and play here when hurricanes reach land. They lose strength and Peter out the coastal marshes serve as a crucial buffer a shock absorber as storms barrel their way to the urban areas up north the counter Albertine Kimball the message for the folks sixty miles away in New Orleans. No wetlands equals no people. Just remember that we protect all. And so if you don't save us you next with climate change. Scientists are predicting stronger and wetter. Hurricanes as ocean temperatures rise Kimball says the impacts are already here. If you see a Mexican American black billy treat up here. I think things are changing absolutely Anna storms and get more wicked to kick in us. I'm not scientists. Still let me state that fact but she says she knows the solution. The land here needs to be replenished. We WanNa live here so how we do that. We gotta compromise that's it. We don't compromise. None of us will be here. So what exactly happened to Louisiana's coastal wetlands. Where did they go the sand and dirt? They replenishes Louisiana is still hundreds of miles up. North will die further into that a bit later. The transformation of Mississippi truly begins in the mid nineteenth century. RETREA explains Bob Chris. Professor Emeritus of Hydro Geology at Washington University in St. Louis if we look at an old lithograph from eighteen eighteen fifty nine. Here's the fledgling said eah Saint Louis and look at the steamboats. Look at this thing. Well we're not have been great to travel in luxury unless you crashed which happened frequently back. Then.

What's that we can share on the PODCASTS? As well but obviously some crazy stuff has happened. anti-fat crazy stuff does happen is rupel said. It's part of the process or process process that we have to go through and that's it really. I think crazy things happen but everything is fixable nothing pretty much. Nothing is insurmountable. Yeah we've had some pretty dire situations we've had death and we had fire you know we've had some broken would work. That wasn't really completed. But we've got fruit both have got through and I think you know just to remember that that serve. These sort of things will happen. Don't get stressed out. Don't sell l. out like I did be tough developed resilience in route permitted good points about we develop resilience. We don't have it to begin with. We develop resilience the skill life skill that we developed through experience. If you like thing it's all worth it in the end you know even if we have the misfortune of being misjudged I or even trolled in public both was actually wearing one way or another but that's usually in the minority of cases. So don't take things dispersing So in summary I think yes. It's all worth it. In the end we will grow and we will develop skills and experience at a tough skin as we as we go through journey as property investors and developers. But it's all going to be worth it in the answer. Don't take things personally but just expect crazy crazy. Things happen from time to time again so then we go. Hopefully you enjoyed that mini series record. They did their job but not quite well enough. Cliff dean runs the delta alta cultural center museum in helena arkansas. My first name is actually james. The jimmy dean smoked sausage dean grew up in the mississippi delta hearing about the great flood of nineteen twenty seven an area roughly. The size of ireland was underwater. In case you missed it Alexandria, causing code Cortez is now trying to play though, just joking about her prediction of doomsday eleven years from now. Anyway, breaking news grace, can I get the breaking news sound effect. A Florida judge has thrown out video evidence against Bob Kraft in the Jupiter spa case, Bob, Chris sale, incredibly significant it is this is actually significant. This is about a true campaign for Justice here in the United States. This is the test of whether the rule of law actually means something around here. Bob Kraft has you know went to a massage parlor, and there have been some criminal allegations made by irresponsible. Police officers about human trafficking. No human trafficking happened. They did a a fake bomb scare and we're able to get some hidden cameras into the room where Bob Kraft was getting a massage and they recorded him. Now. A judge has ruled that they did so illegally and right now reading from the Palm Beach post surveillance video allegedly showing New England Patriots owner Bob Kraft, paying for sex at Jupiter day spa have been tossed out as evidenced by judge. According to court documents county. Judge Leonard Hanser quashed the videos possibly throwing out solicitation of prostitution cases against craft and other men. So I'm not sure about the full implications of this. But I think that if it's been tossed out as evidence, I don't see how even under Florida's generous public records law that outlets like the Boston Globe will be taken this. If you've been listening to the show we've been following the saga of John Henry in the Boston Globe. They are very very thirsty to get this tape and sure it's just about human trafficking, which is not alleged in this case, which doesn't exist. The cops just came out and said human trafficking in order to pretend like their investigation with somehow important and praiseworthy with the Boston Globe. Nonetheless, wants to get revenge for on Bob Kraft. I think this is going to be a serious problem for them kin. "The node is a simple Google search put in U T H pod. See what pops up? No, not that. Not that that right there look for UTA pot, and you can pick up our podcast one of our favorite guests that we had on was Howard Griffith from the big ten at work southside zone. Two times champion we chance to talk to a Howard about his NFL career starting on the practice squad with the Buffalo Bills. Listen. So good to hear from from Howard Griffith in the big ten that work. Clause in buffalo. I was just trying to figure it out. I was really trying to figure it out. I knew I wasn't at the level of those guys were at and again in Indianapolis and in buffalo. They only kept three guys act. They never used the fullback. But they were running this k gun. It was so wide open. Some they never used the fullback or even didn't go that deep in the tailback position. But. I'd still kept working hard to kept grand and was around really good coaches. And obviously these guys hall of famers had a chance to practice against. I mean. Elite players. And so I I didn't have I didn't have those habits as far as working was concerned. And so I developed those things while on the practice squad because you know, Bruce Smith will work out, you never saw him workout. This is will maze about Bruce Smith, you never saw him workout. But I mean that do look like he was chiseled from grant. He didn't look like he was telling for granted when he first drafted out of gene tech. Right. But by the time, he got everything squared away. In by the time. I saw the all pro Bruce -ment do look like it was chiseled, Greg. And that's how most of them guys. Look like if you don't play this game. You gotta be dedicated, you know, to to everything that's going on Darryl Talley their tally on the stairmaster for hour and a half. Wow. Just not loose day. He grinding thing. You do like Cornelius Bennet who should be in the hall of fame some someday because there, but I mean, he's unbelievable pass rusher. So you have Bruce and Darryl and saying Conley. I mean this elite news that I'm having a praxis everyday. Thank goodness. They didn't hit and tackle. To make it out. But I mean, these straight pros they got it. Understood it now they have problems when he went to obviously Super Bowl. But sure that happens. The u you were part of the expansion draft party expansion draft was that like. Outside. In fact, I thought I was going to get more money. Spend. So pretty cool really actually was get drafted by a history. Yeah. Carolina. So it's a whole bunch of Maso they'd never had a professional football team there. So there was that whole big, you know, everybody thought everybody was on football team. I mean, I can't tell you how many people had nothing to do with the Carolina Panthers. Got free stuff all the time. Just because you know, physically you look like you Panthers. Yeah. How would you? How'd you know? Right course. But there was with Bill Polian was GM down there chick Harris who was running back coach with the Rams gone out there. So it was real good staff. Don Capers head coach. So some talent some talented players were drafted by that team to. But that was cool. That's what I really figured out this full back thing. I'd got it down. I'm ready to go. So it's myself in Christian Bob Chris been drafted from the bears expansion team. And is a funny thing happened Bob in are competing for the same spot. Right. But we would help each other. We and Frank right? Couldn't figure this out for the life. Now known Frank from buffalo. He was down in. Now, they brought him down as buffalo south of Louise, whatever they call it. Franco's? Why are you why you guys talking to compete na- helping each other? Like, I had this experience when I was in Illinois must south more year. The veteran guide it was there. I didn't know officemax his first year. So I'd look at the script has the plays on it. I know K I got the fifth play. I know what the play is good. That was all good until he's how take the next three right, right? Yeah. No. I'm looking back. I'm like, whoa. What's the play? What do I do? I have. I do like, hey, tell me. To me. Tell me tell him we compete against Joan. S stuck with me. Have. I said I'd never do that. So I get it. I said, but I never do that somebody. I never do it. So bombing going back four we help each other doing this working hard. And Joe pinging was the office coordinator winter up here. So he knew Bob Bob knew the playbook. I end up tear. My MC L some think. And so I missed the first gay so Bob just start Bob's off to the races. These first one score like the Russians a receiving touchdown altered racing. But was still good. It's still working out. But that experience was it was cool. Steve Berlin was on the quarterback Kerry Collins been draft. He's going to be the face of the franchise. Lamar Leith outside linebacker this dude. And he knew how to party. Have custody sodas in the south southeast hardwood floors and all of that about that. Right. Well there in South Carolina, North Carolina, hardwood floors is a big thing. So he goes in his house and decides you know what I don't like hardwood floors. I'm put marble granting everywhere. So he puts his black marble, granite, whatever. The heck it is onto the floor and the basement black and white in the basement yet on the first floor running up the walls on me. Unbelievable. Raw? Lamar would tell you he shirt off his back. He's a man as long as my mom straight. I'm gonna spend every penny. But my mama gonna be straight. And after that. I don't care what happened. Let's. Hey, Mark ahead of time. Oh, yeah. You can have it after this trip. His believable. Wow. This do have parties thanksgiving. So now, I'm selling down. Yeah. Godson way getting ready to give married to my wife and. They come down in Mars like, hey, listen to everybody, y'all know y'all got to spend time with family and all that stuff, but about eight thirty nine to hit on to my place. He lived up on his place lake Norman. We drive up go up to this party. It's just a bachelor has chef. There's the bear Sapporo beer's. So I never been exposed to that big cans like. They it never. There was just never ended. It was just stuff between that. And champagne it never ended. And it was probably sixty seventy people in his house, and he never ran out of anything. Whether it was frat Turkey's out. Never. Wow. Our right never ended. So I'm like it was pretty good store. See, i'm. This. What's what? Wow. And it didn't end it is place. So we have some characters on that team. They care, but it was another another good never ran on the front circuit. Tonight, run out nothing, France, Erkki, beer, whatever. Whatever you whatever, you whatever you wanted. It just never ran out. So the conversation with our Griffith for the big ten network two times champion. He was on my podcast again wherever you download your podcast here that interview in its entirety Greg conversation. It was two parts. Actually, it was a two-part conversation. "The Indianapolis alley cats beat the Detroit mechanics twenty six twenty two. Good job by the good guys. How'd you do your first time out? Everybody seemed like it, the the, you know, the director heat Channing in our boy, he some happy for him. I know he's all in. He loves his alley cats and loves ultimate he's been out in front of this for a long time. And it's good good to help them out a little bit. Yeah. Yeah. I was was nothing. He called me on Thursday. We talked about it. And I had never done an ultimate frisbee game before. And he said, that's okay. I'll get you all the information. Got me everything I know about the alley cats, and then I just watched some film on their games and studied up on the verbiage and the and the terminology little fun. It's kind of like a combination between soccer and football with a frisbee. It's it's it's a really fun sport to call. They used to play the games that actually Ron college steady. I'm more which is my high school. But then they moved it into the, you know, the grant endorsed indoor or park, and Westfield does obviously phenomenal facility, but some of the fan attendance has taken a hit because it's moved all the way out there. But I would encourage people to come out. It's only ten dollars to get in and. Pretty good product. It's a semi pro, you know, alternate team. And it's a lot of fun. The the level of plays really competitive and all the players that play on the Indianapolis alley cats are all Indiana guys that they're right or not dudes from other states that don't have any wellcoll connection. All Indiana guys makes it really cool, and it's not like you. And I just tossed in the frisbee after there is certainly a certain level of proficiency certain skill level strategic approaches to how you advance the ball lines angles. Those kinds of things just like you're talking about in soccer and football. And it's fascinating to watch. And fascinating to see guys with this kind of skill who have pinpoint accuracy in terms of their passing and their shots. Yeah. That was that was actually on point with both teams tonight. Some of the. Some of the passes. I saw just incredible just these long all the way to the end zone. And I'm like, there's no way that things are gonna get there there, not get rare. But you're like, okay. Well, there's nobody that's going to be there to catch it. And then all of a sudden somebody wanting to catch it Detroit mechanics pull that off quite a few times in the first half. They had they they were down fifteen fourteen at the end of the first half. And they only scored eight points in the second half. The alley cat short up the defense a little bit and we're able to pull away and win four. But it was a very very competitive game. You know, some people thought well the alley cats have beaten Detroit twenty the last twenty one time, but this Detroit team is very competitive all the way through, but it was nice to see the alley cats bounce back after a tough loss last week to to Madison. So they got their first win of the season. It was fun. Ask yourself one question. What other sports talk show? Are you aware of the would talk about ultimate? Frisbee.
