"Don't show children of dune or children are doing. And i'll be later the second which you know you don't know who that is but when you do oh this guy let's say this is say god emperor god emperor but it's really sad but it's really good. I want to be power girl on a power girl. I don't care what in. But i want to be power girl us jack ellington for. I don't even know if i could pull that. That's really cool. What do you got. I mean when i was a kid i always wanted to be in looney tunes. Just any character or you wanna be like michael jordan in the space jam like old school looney toons loony tunes michael jordan. You would want to voice a cartoon. I would want to voice. That's what i always wanted to. When i was a kid. I i i g- rename ever had was cartoon crazy boy. 'cause i love looney tunes like that was my. Why haven't we done an episode. I don't know we had bob. Bergen that was that was co schedule through martian. We gotta get now. We get eric bows on the on the show. He's a list of all of them. So that was like currently like with a voiceover. That's like in my dream. Like i really wanted to gain childhood. Yeah it's like. I now that i'm going back to acting. I'm like my dream and video is video games and cartoons have to just what about you batman beyond live action. Kidding just had to say that. I'm so sorry I don't i like being in tom's things. I really do So that i'm a sucker for like any sort of project that that echoes. Tom stuff like that or like beginners or something. That's a little more grounded. I'm i'm writing something right now. That's a little more personal that i'm going to send a time pretty soon to see but that that would probably be it. I'd time to take.

"Don't see that every day yeah. I think that's the whole just to the side because you certainly remember my dad's in advertising so right so you you know what. It's you know what it's not like. What such spot for the what's that thing. It's like you know exactly that it's gyco right right so you know that that's good advertising. So that's the whole point. Right is at the pig is just an everyday thing. It's not like oh you know but it was so fun. Doing those thoughts as sort of uptight stewardesses. Now believe that when pigs fly because there's like eight people that work that pig. It's not like cgi in there. I think it may be now. I just be wrong. I think it may be now but at the time when we did it. There's a wonderful help. Improviser comedian gallon. Katie rose donahue and we were the two zero. I don't know how many takes that we probably ruins in the beginning. And then i don't have any children going out to interview many so they had to lube up the pig's nose to look like a real pig. This is a bad double negative bag. Remember but i never not found that. Funny i am a grown woman for crying out loud and so the pig has a team of people you know because it's a and i worked on the show so i love puppeteers on our after sideboards and helped negotiate contracts and i get. The top of tears are incredible and working on the tv show. I watched them they. They must help. They get good health benefits. They're often crazy positions and they prophecy chiropractors all the time and her see physical therapist and so i was watching this one girl who was underneath him and one guy was just doing his head. I mean those are just the ones i could see You know there's like there had been at least six or seven for the geico pig but there was one guy that was just in charge of looming up his nose and i thought oh my god. I don't know what i can tell myself to think. I mean what i say to myself as a Action you know right after his just looped up his nose every single before every single take but then i got through that day of of shooting at that all believe that would pick commercial. Actually and what's really cool is voice. Artists are finally starting to get there too. I know you had awards recently. And you were there and I think it's about time. Frankly you know can thank the lovely. John baker moody gaskin for for doing their wonderful. That's why sober in starting the civil society of you know Voice art times's 'cause it's really it really is a wonderful. It's a skill. And and i think you know now that the television academy my dear friend bob. Bergen who there sits on the board there is not. I think he forgive me. He's listening to this. Is the president of the peer group. Probably i'm getting that wrong But we always talk about how it'll start with when the sag awards and the academy awards start to actually have those categories more represented. Now that we have you know best animated feature but what about the academy actually the oscars in touch with ensure that those are represented there. Because you know in other you know in in europe and all they're fascinated with our with our innovation more than we are here in the states. And i think he did. One of the reasons is that we have so many cable options we have. We are fascinated with house of cards and orange is the new black with so many great things that are on cable we have. I'd hundreds and hundreds of stations whereas over there they probably don't so they just revere ar animation. I wish they would over here as much as they do. They're so I think the ties are i. It may take a little bit. But i think Once we start recognizing them and hollywood kind of way to say that we'll get that kind of sort of recognition. I think people once they understand the whole process. It'll be like wow. That's pretty amazing. It is amazing group of artists. That are so cool for me as a kit i would. I was always kid reading the credits. At the end. I was watching and i said to four rate does rocky long and then she became. You know. I kinda idolized her. Because she not only did but all these other voices. well she's upping. None of us would be doing what we're doing i. I fell down to her as we're speaking on gesture i at the end of Inside out i was looking at I save for the credits. Of course as i always do and i was thinking you know just how much goes into an animated feature of any kind or even that i like i remember of us. Think about how many artists and you know it just go to. Let's say one character just looking at all that's involved in any animated series animation animated movie. There are so many talented folks in terms of editing and The drawing i mean the actual animation itself You know even especially on the feature like a inside out. You know. There's i i remember thinking there's how many people are on one character and it's just incredible. There's there's so many people Within disney within fix within the character with just goes into it. It's fascinating to me. It's the skills set. That that i certainly could never even imagine having so i feel like an apple like i can talk you know. That's that's that's vizquel said. Do funny voices and i act or and i'm a good voice actor I i wish i had that talent. I wish i could draw my nieces like wonderful artists. And i'm just like wow that i knew ways you know i don't have that skill either but when i think is the magic part of it is that you go in you do your voice and then they do the animation to the voice and what it all comes together. It's like a little bit of magic where it just perfectly you know. It's it's it's really a very unique process and own. it all comes together manage just like it's fantastic. Okay i have to say. Also another idol of mine was as i was grew up on the bugs bunny cartoons would have to remember like i mean it was just amazing and did like practically all the voices on those cartoons so yeah. I don't think anybody who is anybody else. Even young kids now Having heard funny and that was just you knew and you're watching that that was something out of this world talent. That was just you know you. Would i remember watching it. And you just stop in front of the tv and stare at it mesmerized. Listen to it like mommy. What is that. That's that's from another planet. Almost allen jumping through the and the animation for that matter array was very good. Yeah and as far as you probably have been there before maybe not though. Are you going to be anywhere near san diego comic con this year. It's funny that you should mention that. I've been talking to the folks. Maybe for the first time. I might actually be going with the cast this so that'll be very exciting. That's working out. Yeah so many perks of the top nickelodeon does a big thing. You know they're year. "But he kept lying you know all yeah husband was killed by a Guinness struck down. Everything. Was the dream that literally killed them. Yeah. I always thought it was Scottish everything I mean also before we wrap things up, we do also make sure we go around the digital screens the Gallery View Bob If you can have your favorite character favorite to characters of of Mrs Doubtfire who would including MS deffers. To characters to cow favorite characters would probably be. Only two only makes it hard bay. That's tough. Part does all right. I'm. GonNa. Go Obscure. I I. It's not the obvious. I. Said earlier the bus. I live on his. And I love the maitre d' at the restaurants. Who who, who kisses, everybody's ass when they come to to the to the hosts Dan but he's an asshole voice. Fact Yeah Reality Real. Yeah I was GONNA say unfortunately that part is. Not. A fantasy I know. WHO's next Corey go ahead Oh okay. Alex screwed. Mrs doubtfire just because titular character and on Robin Williams has A. Soft. Spot in my heart cycling characters. Yeah I would say the brother Harvey Fire Scene I think everything that Harvey firestone does is complete gold. From movie to stage I think he's just a wonderful wonderful actor And then as a second character, I'm GONNA I mean 'cause I mentioned it. Before I gotTA shout out Sally Fields in this I think that without her balance, you don't film. Heavy agree. Phelan? Okay. for me Harvey Fierstein and then the daughter. which was Lydia the older daughter. In a weird way like I felt like, my my childhood was a little telegraphic around that age of like I was like around. Mathilde age of like I don't know what's happening but then my parents are splitting apart in my oldest was just like I hate everything. and was like really. She's kind of the one that kind of like. Like like re just remind the audience of why Danny's doing this hour Daniels doing this and like that moment when she comes out when they have that I find a you and punish us and then she had to clean and do the homework, and then after the is made, she comes out and then. Daniel Amos doubtfire get inside before. You know you get a cold is this moment like turn point of like she can. You know hopefully develop as a child you know to a young woman and Daniels seeing this happened before his eyes and it's like There's something about that and also like she was also feel like she was a lot of these nineties films for me like. and. I was just like she had like she was going to be everywhere for some reason. Like this, really big like this character like it's it's like a love hate and then you later on just like learn to like sympathetic for the children. Muslim I. Guess. Kayla. for me I'm on the same train with Lydia the older daughter just because that is such a she is kind of like you're you're. The vessel for you to understand the full complexity of like how you deal with this as like a preteen going through this experience of like, I want to support both of you and there's complicated emotions and sometimes it may agree about it but I'm still supportive. But I still love you but So like all of that kind of complication is is very accurately portrayed through her and the my I think my favorite of all is Daniel not not Mrs doubtfire Daniel who is like The especially the speech in the courtroom were. Pleading Insanity and saying ever since I saw my kids I'm crazy for them so that it gives you like like you already know this is a very fantastical thing. But that actually grounded the decision to become Mrs Doubtfire Y- of like you know what? Yeah I do all these voices, I play all these characters. This was the only thing I can think of to get close to my kids and yeah, I'm a Datsun insane thing to do because I'm crazy for them like it just made it make sense so and and like seeing his development outside of that of like Chinese food boxes everywhere in a dingy apartment and then like. Growing through MRS doubtfire changed him as a person to make him a better person. WHO's like a solid figure on his own without his wife? Yeah. That that was a really cool like throw up in the. World. But he kept but he kept the essence of that childishness childishness in him that like turned into this opportunity for him. So many the away everybody grew because. Yeah. Allow him today in the Kittens Yeah Yeah because he proved himself, he'd grown she grew. Because she realized she was in a bench. Yes. All her frustrations out on him and suspecting the kids. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So I I think probably because he's the most of downtrodden and this kind of scenarios. And getting him to kind of find his path and like take care of himself and his life and kind of the people around him by proxy. That was really cool I. Liked that specific through line. Ali. Mind starts with Harvey Finds because he's just he's enjoyed watching everything just like you said. I wanted to I wanted more of them in this. Yeah. I wonder I wonder if there's some cuts, the probably is because he said it was most of those those just room scenes that were cut. Down to watch. but aside from that, it was just Daniel. Yeah Robin. Williams. Maybe a sequel only the brother and how to make different enough. Face. Business. where? It's just about business side. All. Yeah. impersonate Robin Williams in this. Yes. My favorite are the parents, Daniel Miranda like I just I know that they both have their instances where you're like that wasn't cool. But they the way that they grow as parents from the beginning to the end and I especially love the scene where there she comes to visit him and she says, Ranna says you know I don't I don't WanNa do this anymore like who did what to WHO and who said this? Blah Blah Blah I, just WANNA move forward and I love that she she realizes and I love that Daniel grows up like he's he is kind of immature at the beginning and then he kinda learn what life needs what you need. You can still be silly and fun but there's also a quote serious side that you know you still got to do the dishes. You still gotta do the laundry, Chuck the Ramon to the fishing. Yeah. Yeah. I like the parents and how they grow throughout the movie and just become.

"So? It's a nice. It's a nicer way of going about. Because there is some sort of heart to it and every character. He's very genuine like he's not trying to be gross I WANNA, I. Do want to bring up a point that we had while we were having a tech club like the version of Pierce Brosnan character actually kind of being out dude. Oh, he's great. Dude weekends like. Here's the dirt. This is where this is. This is the turning point. This is where he gets his AMMO right. Now, and so for meal point is that he can't believe that the fozzard. Guy. Looks like he's going to take care of them just fine and but by the time I watched Mrs Doubtfire Henry James Bond. So what's he doing in San Francisco being like this blues? I knew him as a womanizer what I'm seeing. But then now you think back on almost like Pierce Brosnan is like hot sexy dude with an accent who was like, you know it's Rod Williams conflict a little bit early the every man who's like can't cook, can't clean. You know all this has to work his way to become a better person in order to be with kids. Like pure competition and it's like this wonderful. He's like a client that's wanted to room designed, and then like fell in love with designer, and then like had three, hundred four children and happily after that stories also I just Sweden okay. Also with the exception of Robin, Williams everybody had a Lotta money. Yes. Reflective of San. Francisco today says. Credible country club you know and you just go up and he just you sign your membership number in any walk away. Or the Indian prosthetic. Artists as a brother, you don't have to worry about the car. Races everywhere and just like happens to have all the plaster and material. Here's the. Yeah I mean I do admit though that montage of different faces is is brilliant. It's like, no, let's give. Let's give him a chance to flex for a little bit. Just check out, check the extras on the DVD all those seems they that I'm definitely going to do that. I haven't checked those there. There's there's something on I. Think Youtube has a compilation of like twenty minutes that was cut from the film that was. With, soundtrack and everything. But I always thought that so many should have. A A network or a youtube channel called the cutting room floor. Where they just find all the clips that were cut and an just show them, and oftentimes because we're such fans on the of the of the product, we welcome the new stuff because it's new stuff. Yeah, right? Yeah. I, mean they're getting deep aspects in that world a little bit more. Werner Herzog said, it's like your your treasure hunting. You're looking the gems like these were lost in time. Now someone reclaimed him and Youtube is the museum you know like. Charlie going back to our tunes they used to back in low in in World War Two the wash, the cells and reuse. So they still they exist anymore but then they would also did never thought they were considered are. Valuable so there was on the floor police inside. The history. There's funny. Reading, listening about your interviews of how you went to go meet Mel Blanc in you know crashed like recording session like watching Mrs Doubtfire than knowing about that story like when it's like I would love to work in this place where like out of nowhere the the head of the studio is just hanging out and you could just talk to them. He's not in a video village or surrounded by a bunch of clients and has not willing to talk to you, and also when you're cleaning out the place and you do your own riff of show, he's the only person there to watch and I was like this is a lovely imagination of what Hollywood is because I was like, yeah, I don't know. It's it's a bit of a fantasy of how of bureaucracy actually does. A on the other hand, you got to give the guy that laid the boss. A little bit of credit is you really do care about the station and quality of the of the programming. He didn't. Dig It would take this employee whose job was to. Schlep, stuff films and things back and forth loading dock to come up with the idea but on the her hand, the fact that he was so open to this pitch that by the way, that's that's pretty Hollywood pitch meetings over dinner and cocktails happen on time. But. It's PBS that was supposed to be leader evs station and and Mrs. Doubtfire. Show, in the out, a syndicated is becoming a big thing. So I just a very I ending to that I did think that was also pretty. Also in this world of Hollywood you like the rings are so like after the first day of recording, let's like do they not edit this? Well, it's also like. Cut like? Right then is where the studio head is like we're doing great. These Subtle the it was a small. They were they were talking about how boring the original show was, but they didn't fire him. They made him the mailman. Honest. Don't take a job away from home which I think. By the way he had. He had no shame didn't mind doing either. Yeah. And he was having a job. The honest when you're working in children's programming San Francisco if you lose a job, you're competing on a point. Yeah. So Getting. Yeah that Guy's lucky. One one choice for for that the guy who became the mailman is that he would always. Say things incorrectly like if everything he did he would say wrong or weird or long gated, and then when he came back as the mailman, he had like one line but he still. Like did the pronunciation incorrectly and I was like, oh. Oh. There's this lots of little. Appreciate. The caregiver like Mrs Doubtfire, the character itself. If I remember correctly came from Andy Kaufman show he did where we're Robin Williams, played Andy Kaufman's grandmother while and that hard yeah it was it was a show I believe at Carnegie Hall it's on IMDB Trivia I. Believe. Was Andy Kaufman show and he played his grandma and that character just kind of sat dormant for twenty years and then Mrs Doubtfire came along and there you go and and. Pierce Brosnan says what part of England are you from your is The money we'll as Tan I always thought he was being Scottish. That's what it sounds like. Yeah. To Myers it says more Scottish than a British..

"Results were put in front of adult films. Adult film. IDEA. That were made for the adult audience. And I mean I can remember one where Elmer Fudd had a dog a dog has fleas. and the dog, the flea bites him and the dog is running around dislike rubbing his butt on the carpet in stops looks at the camera and he goes Weber stop as I make it's like that. It's obvious when he was joking at. Back then nobody ought to be on a media, TV TD, didn't exist nobody thought they would be on a DVD is DVD's didn't exist in there like. What he say they'll never see get bright. So back to this one cartoon. I went to my agent after just a very frustrating session and I said to my agent you know. I was told that this guy was wanted to be the torch bearer of this franchise and to be taken these characters in the stretch in and I said, I'll do the same wars Ernie way get out my contract and he said, well, that's impossible as he was. Yeah, they just fired you. Know because one of the Clinton was my ID. And I was told I will never do these characters again. Wow do shorts were never released. They let this guy go and the next thing I knew a few months later I get all from. My Age despite rant and Tony cervone are doing a show called duck dodgers and they'd like need to play your. Engine and that washed that bad taste in my mouth fast because Doug dodgers was just well. I, want more those kind of shows I think more like the creative which you do with these characters and putting them in other places is loose. But. That's show had nudity. There's this on my demo where Porky Orca debt is is is bare chested and he says he says to cadet jet sets the dodgers. Chemicals. Back. Looking. And I begged them to give him thirty nipples. He's a boy. Earning base and I said, but it'd be great. If it was there. So. So back to doubt farmers doubtfire on. So you you watch the in theaters and so it's charming. Like Like it's have you watched recently Within the last week. Irving Orlando sure. And doesn't really go around the screen. So what was everyone? Else's thoughts about it? We could share in the group of our first times in recent history. Okay. Go ahead. I mean it was such a joy to be like you know there are movies in life that you just you just like them. You love them and you. In what sexes you Kinda almost forget about them in the purview of all the entertainment that we have and when you said Mrs Doubtfire I was like. I get to watch MRS doubtfire again and I watched it A couple of times and I was like this movie is just so wonderful from back to front like at introduced the World Tomorrow Wilson who became a a childhood treasure Tilda and whatnot, and she's a fascinating person just in real life but watching this I was just like it's such a it's such a wonderful message throughout the film as a as a child of divorce as well of kind of the final message of how family is and. It's such a joy of a movie and it's I think it's. Also. A lesson to divorce parents on how not to treat each other. Oh. Yeah. I mean you look at that? That movie is is a bundle of mistakes. Don't fight in front of your kids don't let them a sides don't. Use them as weapon that's. Not Use them as weapons don't disrespect the editor in front of them these kids off to the cell messed up and by the way. That that rubber makeup I only. Disbelieved out. But but but it's okay you want, and then that scene in the mood in the restaurant at the end. were, most from from from this table, this table and just any. Wrong so Good feign were he's walking to is is bosses table and you know when you're drunk, you've got that very heavy footsteps thing and he's got at down stowell's but that's a subtle acting choice. That's not your players It's obvious. But he just you the best way to play a by acting teacher during the best way to play drunk is to take. Place over But try to play so. As as we all was bill trace over. Will Scott Ward or just a little bit of more aware of our our. Byron's and that and he did it is such a great job. And so much of that was ad libbed. Everything he did was add lifts running into things that for me, that was the best indicator of drunkenness was he had his eyes on the place he needed to go but like ran into that the divider and like when he's coming through the kitchen gets the idea to put on the thing he smacks into the door and then notices the coats and is like. I didn't even realize like I hadn't seen the movie and so long probably since I was younger I didn't even realize that he was drunk when I was younger and then when I was watching, it adds an adult I was like it's a silly. The moment I heard fully online there's drinking evolved. Well and then years ago I was invited to do some film festival in in Danville, northern California and that Restaurant Bridges Dandenong like restaurant. There and you know that was do cool. Now I have to go. Dan But I'm originally from San Francisco. So we drove by that. Oh. Yeah. For me I showed this from by my dad. I am a product of divorce So it was extremely poignant to me I didn't see it right when it came out but two or three years afterwards my dad showed it to me a huge Fan Robin Williams growing up like I mentioned from the bay area. So he was around where we were all the time doing events and speaking, but the two two moments that truly stand out to me anytime someone mentioned missed out fire the two scenes that just kind of pop into my head. Is the drive by fruiting. Knowing that he really through that line at Pierce Brosnan and nailed him in the back of the head. Kills me every time. It's literally the one that I rewound I probably I tape out on narrating alone. And then the I know this is an odd one but his impression of a hot dog is. That entire pit and what are the DVD's has extras all stuff that was. Cut Out fifty percent of his impression. When he does the hot dog days got that little face like I. Know you're not going to keep that. Was So stupid but it was so good and like. It's just like image before Harvey firestone I'm a huge fan of his the fact that that he's in here just playing like this amazing brother character. The sing sing our streisand with matchmaker matchmaker like it's it's I don't know it's from start to finish the. Amazing apartment. Ver. That's dream house stream apartment like, wow, even. I've driven by the House. Yeah. It's this early there in. San Francisco is you'll remember when he called he calls Sally Field. Several Times as creepy people who had tell causes Mrs Doubtfire as she gives the address on Steiner Street and unlike. That really is on Steiner street down. Yeah there's a in San. Francisco there is an unspoken rule that you don't just hang out about there. There's no one really like you gotta be respectful. The people who live there but every time ever drive by the the House for Mrs Doubtfire did you know? We did that with breaking. And the Brady Bunch, yeah The bridge until they redid it, you know everybody news the Brady Bunch House that you don't. Knock on the door and say. Are you. Let me inside my last little tidbit here that I didn't know until recently was that the the scene where he buries his face in the cake and is. Over the social worker..

"That that I can live with a little bit. so Afterwards. I was talking to my friends. Nice, okay here are the difference. Number One. You don't make a career out of one job number two you don't do it in one take I mean you never three? Enter unless you're sweet were eighty. Our number four is not done in San Francisco. Yeah. But the, but the film itself was just. Wonderful. Character were wonderful ensemble era. There were all at just robbing lanes but all of. And I just found a charming I mean I'm thinking behind by life I see. A sees Nicholson. Talk. All right. So we got that's Anthony. Hopkins. Shaw. Nicholson. That's Mrs Bryce Nice as Bella go see. But this is the but this one right there. Rob. That was that was used in the movie. Mrs Down. His. All. Her as the parents masks that they take off and they in the the Harvey firestone places brother. Or. Static makeup on that. Film. So you're telling your friends the entire time how the industry isn't like that. So you're telling me on the record that you've never quit in a in a voice. You never quit invoicing. Well I've never quitting a voice I quit. I've never I've never quit doing voice I actually was fired walked off of Lynch's project. Oh Wow. Yeah it was. It was a long time ago and they hired a new. Producer director to take over the franchise and do a bunch of shorts and he wanted me so so mel blanc voices for sped up electric, which a lot of people. I didn't know that. BAS-. Yeah. Basically daffy investor. Very close to the same voice, the Daffy sped up. Though Melt Mel Blanc sport he was fed up. Mine is not. And producer. Director. got the idea. Of. Slowing Down Mel Blanc's or recordings having Mimic Mel Blanc in real time and then speeding up. And I said to him. It's in theory that sounds right. But in reality Mel, Blanc's natural voice was much deeper than mine. He smoked, they use RCA remain microphones and they were ordered in actual sound stages. So you heard room noise. In performance and speed me up I'm going to sound like album ship with when they spent by sounded like Alvin the chipmunk with Yup and a- not one who argues with a director they want me to do it in a way that I think is bad. I. Am they are actor For Higher I'm happy to do it. But I had felt a little bit of a responsibility towards the quality of this one character. I also was not pleased with the script. They were just a little bit too I. Have No problem with Edgy humor with these two edgy or what I thought leader should be or about a month and rewarding sessions I found myself arguing with. It's interesting too because looney tunes like at least for me when I think back like there before my time. Right. So they definitely started before me but then like they've done what I like other. Companies in terms of animation don't do with like you know they'll have like the ones in shower. They'll have the like someone's naked someone and I think you were talking about in space jam lake. portia wets himself or you know and. That, kind of stuff where it's like, you don't hear that kind of humor and a little bit of the crash, your humor but like. The linney tunes never make kids. May.

"Worker on the start with not bad. But I'M GONNA. Tell you that Josh started coming out you're married to the catchphrase that you've memorized. Yeah. So when it comes to portray a character that's already existed, everybody can do the catchphrases it a new dialogue. That's a bitch. Though I'll tell you guys told the story before. So fight. Guerrilla bill title you're here I Ashley. Earlier. I. Did I did not know that it was curly I. Love. We got pandemic I wasn't getting a haircut and it's gotten very gray in our pandemic. So God I love the. would. For Space Jam, one of our last all backs they had us do Shakespeare. Bigger too if you can do if you if you don't handle it as a looney toon and stay in character, but still portray hamlet. Character. So I'm in the lobby of La Studios, which is a studio in Los Angeles. And I'm seeing guys doing the call backs and they get this and I could see the Hannigan. Derive and I'm like, Oh, I out this. I got this. Awesome. Like using hamlet is like killing me right now. It's it's that's so accurate though for like doing character, you can't just like be the front part of a character. You have to have all the death in the layers as well of like the understanding of nuance. That's living. Creatures. Living Person. And the characters today even the leeches cartoons is closes thing I've ever done with this franchise that feels like classic short up Nietzsche's cartoons or any chance. These characters are being put in situations that now black never vocalized never use a computer to never use to sell on was never over driver he never used the Internet. So you still have to use these. You got to keep the integrity of the characters by keeping them or putting them in contemporary situations he's. Out I guess where the balance between creating new characters or portraying ones that already exists the challenges with each and that one is just happening to be let me expand this character beyond where it's ever been before even though it's not I didn't come up with the original piece by the way think about it. Now, that was ever shorts. Yeah. And now we're GONNA get. Really G IF YOU'RE A fan of animation but daffy duck at two different personalities. Any woohoo daffy and he was really death. Yeah So, how did that happen? Who made that decision and had did no blank deal with that I recently started re watching so I watched. The looney tunes cartoons, which is the one that's HBO Max. And I love it and also ease any death and watching like I've also watch a bunch of lean as well and yet like characters have different motifs like sometimes bugs is like completely like the asshole and then sometimes he is the one that's being attacked and so it's like you've you root for him but sometimes he's the aggressor same thing with Daffy it's really really weird. That's like. I don't know who I'm supposed to root for as long as a as a kid you're like Oh, this is fun but hasn't w like who four there's also that classic story about him having to Daffy doing bugs and bugs doing daffy and just a I go into those kinds of things. Yeah. That's. Exactly yeah. So I mean before we move into the subject at hand I. Have One last question I watched a recent interview in which you spoke about the importance of gratitude I'd love to know what your grateful for these days. First of all alive so Healthy and I'm alive and you can't eaten at. I'm able to keep a working. I'm I'm grateful for time Nestle sound weird because so many people right now are so angry and frustrated with the time they've got but I have a luxury of time that I never have because I would go from this audition to this job. To. This class etcetera on the relay I don't I don't have to drive between auditions in jobs. So Man I am grateful that this one day will end. And we have we have taken this disruption in the industry and we've turned it upside down. So naked, oposite. The where we do not only keep working with quality can be good and perhaps open the door either people where they never saw the opportunity before. But you know if you complain if you if you make your life nothing but a bitch fest. You're not. You're going to play. You're never going to be happy choppiness short-sea choose to wake up everyday and go I'm fortunate that I have this problem to deal with today because some people have a lot worse tonight. Fisher if you really WanNa, you'll find a way you don't. You'll find excuse. And you know what? I don't like excuse. I'm not I'm not a fan of victims. Sorry. Get over it. They don't pay bills. SLUT isn't even if they don't, they don't create. Happy. You know if you think you're owed something now you know what accountability responsibility you're responsible for your unhappiness. You're having a shitty day but smile on your face in the let anybody know it in eventually sometime during that day you realize it in vacant for this slip Zach we can't do that or we can just say I'm a victim mode this mode that and my wife's thoughts. How would you like to live the rest of your life with every day saying my life sucks. Ten great I think that does turn it into a little bit of the positive of our next topic at hand, which has like a valley. How do you WanNa? Live your life. In more at the end of the day. So we're talking Josh does all the heavy lifting and asking our guests. What's their favorite thing? They want to get their nerd on about and you suggested myst- out fire. I did crisper. Starring Robin Williams, a sally, fields Pierce why did you pick this film? Bob. Because I asked me an idea of what you want to talk about and a favourite film. US This Mrs Doubtfire for me There are certain movies, Channel Surfing and no matter where you land shuts Yup Yeah any no rooks movie. I'll do that with solid as it's wonderful life I'll do that with I. see the list of Oz on Turner Classic soft do that with Mrs Doubtfire With First of all I just did charming start with that. I saw that film with a whole bunch of friends in the theater when it first came out and it opens with Robin Williams as the voice of Tunes Yeah. and. During that opening scene. All. My friends are looking at me. Why is this how it's done? You're in the mood. Like. And he keeps doing it is how it's done. and. Then he's fired from this one GIG and he's one hundred percent unemployed and I said. No and then when he was fired, he did a really bad for he pigging but yes. Williams was a genius at everything has a lousy.

I as my lead in turn my phone off. Yeah I know and my phone rings and my mom my mom is doing this to me and look I'm an actor I'm a whore couldn't. About, going to ignore it okay. Gene Gene would have understood. Okay. I looked at it was. And then I was like. I I wasn't thinking or he big US thinking of something wrong Money, is the big there in a Mike. Funeral. But I got my friends are leaving town really quick. sparky. Rabbis looking at me and I'm like. What we do. Kid Stop. Curly but. And now you have that story. And the other one was wasn't an appropriate but have you guys heard the nine eleven story? No. No it was. It was about a maybe a week or so after nine eleven hoed no and I'm out late at night with some friends and we decide to but Christie criss. And I'm at a I'm at the no, the the the drive through as this lady, this lady says, can I take your order and I said give us a minute. We haven't figured it out yet, and this male voice comes on and says, let me know when you're ready and I said Ooh you change your voice and then she came back and she said, yes I did you change yours? and. I looked at my friends and I ordered a dozen glazed doughnut like corky. Big. Lou and there's a long pause and she says lease all up to the second wind what the second window and she has knee three dozen donuts and I said I think you misunderstood me and she said her everywhere you said it is I laugh since nine eleven. There on the house. By turned my friends that I said. GonNa. Porsche dealer. Next. ACA. Voice battle turned into. Warming stories. Awesome voice good or you. And by the way I, I dropped the box off parrot styles. It was it was. The WELI. That I mean never. A regrets. Right. So you're well I'm always curious about this because like. I grew up on looney tunes and Mel Blanc is a legend to me and you also have Casey Kasem in your career and you have a lot of iconic characters that you have played. Do. You have a favorite like the absolute favorite moment of your career thus far thus far. This might be a we might be the best. I do I do, but it's it's unrelated to anything. You just said Oh that's that's fine. That's more. Friends points. And nothing came from it. So I was at the annual awards several years ago and I was I was presenting of Patrick Warburton was hosting. Nice and we did a bit where I came out in heated Crock I did but. Now site sidebar. We're backstage I'm introducing myself to him. We did a feature, a video sequel and three years in a series in it never met because I did all my love. Of. Several Englewood second guys. I had to tell the lexus something. It was very important. India. So he says to me I thought he was astounded isn't necessarily do I. At. Okay. Folks excuse me. Right. Out The credits. It's awful medical. So we're on stage with Tony Bancroft who animated. In the new group. and. Agent, to the to the ceremony and Tony is talking to my agent afterwards, and he's doing a project with McCartney Hoyle, and there's a character like bucky and they wasn't if I'd be interested in doing it. And by agents acid short related. and. So when she booked me, she said now. is going to be. there. I said no way. is going to be there and I never get nervous and a driving there. and. Not, too, far from my house. Equal Savvy. Regarding. And he and I went to meet him and he was just loved and he was just charming and I don't know if they'll never came out and I never did anything else it was. A surreal reel, you're putting together to try to and sell it. coolest that on and and? Teaching. The audience at the Hollywood bowl or two nights having to pay. WHO Is the the Annie Awards, my neighbor he runs the Annie Awards I found out recently like he is the executive director of the annual awards. I'm like, Okay I. Didn't even know they existed until he told me. Big. They started out. I think June berets brainchild they started out because there were no offers emmys Royce actors and for animation. Art Oh she started herself and has become. prestigious. It is to animation group is the film. And you know how Josh was saying how like you know groupon lanes I. You know I'm a little bit younger by washing duck dodgers and then you being the young eager cadet I was like like I. It's interesting to think like how much looney tunes and you know by the time you were working on porgy pick like I had been born. So you are the. Picking picking. Say Well you know he's he's saying you're a seasoned professional won't. Conditioning here yours and so it's interesting because I've heard I've read. A lot of interviews and how you break down the stutter and how you break down the voice and I remember as a kid having that same thing like why does he talk this way and then it's like why is he tried to say something and then ended up saying something else and then how you said like in Industry terms like, Oh, it's an ad Lib and I was like, oh, that makes sense like now as an adult. Oh, I was A. I did understand this. Well I'll tell you. Sometimes isn't that a lot of times. It's a good writer. And I will tell you I will tell you that every time I worked on a brand new projects with a brand new producer writer they will type in my stutter. Task as written or is it just like this? The first job of every new project they will type it in and I will have to have a sit down I wanna do it as respectfully as because they think are helping me and unlike guys I can't find the actual wines if you type in every word stutters. So Matt Craig. Who was the writer producer director of nudity tunes big infused with looney tunes, cartoons or the Legion show, right? Confusing, very lot. He he came up with a formula that I take with me to every job where if if there's a word. And there's a a a written joke or gag he just types in the lips. ABC's means Bob. Stutter at this point. So if a line is has anybody seen, my dog it was say has anybody seen my dog dot dot dot dot dot and he made right in the gag or just have it blank for me to fill in. I would see the lips sees and I would say. As anybody. DOT The even. Attaining. I love those. We'll stutter as long as it takes me to think of something funny to say there is no formula or link to that what I've taken Matt Craig's ABC's. Idea with me. Really. Awesome KOSTIC. That's just it's one of those things that you just like. You sit there and you're like. That's really smart. Is living learn and you don't want to you know you don't want to offend the creatives the Orton win by. Can't stripped. So you know I do I, will. I will finish the first episode of it's a series and that I will gently say, Hey maybe it.

"That is a character I have played in the past that it brought back. and. They're telling stories that have never been told before Savannah's exciting as an actor because. I have to create. In chats and relationships that are new to this character, I'm doing another show that's original brand new, and you know when you do a character if you're if you're a series regular. Episode ten is different from episode one because you're feeding the writers and the writers feeding you. Sometimes they'll shift years in the story because you'll give a delivery aligned with a character with your life of Basso. That's a layer of their relationship you never thought of. An Act Java. Script in a good writer hires knacker who takes those words and makes them or taste in a way that the writer did that goes and then you're on season five and it's a whole different off game because of this collaborative thing called production. The Long Way to answer your question Every time I work or even audition I've got those creative since back when I get a job, I gotta go back into My. Once auditions Let it go. Too Yeah, you'll go nuts. If you think about all the you've done in the past the also having I was GonNa Mention You you speaking of lots of British auditions, some of your video game work you've been Luke Skywalker. MORE TIMES THAN THAN I. Thought could be possible that that I remember being. Video Games I'll put it that way. What's that? Like? The I'm assuming you're going to have to audition every time you go in it's probably different crew working on each title. What's that like? Early. I I I. I think had readmission for a couple of times. But for the most part they want like I did robot chicken again, they call them. The. When I got to do most recently, which is older. which. I know angry Luke. Well Great Grey, angry Louis Wet yeah. ooh Yeah. So what? I. Think it was over twenty years ago. I. Saw for at the time loop SARS and I turned it down. Because I told my agent, I can't do mark Hamill came close Lamar Campbell. And said. We destroyed dumfries it. Yeah. I. Don't. I don't want this and the producers called her back and said that they really want to see me and I said Okay I'll do mark hamill walk into the addition and I said I don't do Mark Hamill. And Dara o'farrell was the producer. and director and he said don't do mark. Hamill do Nisi will. Oh. Oh Oh. Now I was a of course I had seen. That at that time all the star wars films but I, I was a student of the franchise. So I could not pull that character out of my ass. So he had to give me a little education planning simplisafe since he had this prejudged I. This is post jet I look. Different and this one's of A. Ores though. But. I. Will Tell You guys that told the story to 'cause the lesson for, everybody. Wants to get into this business before I took the first game, I made sure the my agent hallmarks agent to make sure you're on the job because. I. Didn't know if he was in a contract negotiation and ask for money. He's skywalker GONNA say he does video game voice acting. Jack this was a while ago. This is before he got back or re-involved with franchise. But no, my Asian found out that he actually was was was I believe. A sued. Very. That's very weird Al of you. Know it's funny when you said when you say like different types of Luke Skywalker and the only one that sticks in my mind so much in robot chicken, it's like it's Winey Luke skywalker. And died I I give suffering credit. He's a wonderful director and he is such a star wars nerd. Any question I had on how to pronounce this planet or what's going on here. He added all down Dawson? you said in interviews that you would love to have because you've played so many different characters but you've said that you want your own thing like it's almost like your spongebob. And you have also said that you auditioned for those all the time. If you could write that character if you could create that character that was yours, it was like This is Bob Bergen plays this like what would it be? Not. Though is going to be your answer back is I'm not a writer producer Creator, my job is to take their word and make it mine. So yeah, I'm on a handful of shows right now that are in season one or two or even three who knows where they're going to go by I have never had a homer simpson or a spongebob has lasted. It was original. To Me for twenty thirty years and I, don't tell where he big as that because I didn't create a character nor do I close to the do the? Did you know just driving invest the integrity of the character So yeah, it would be really really cool to I'll be seventy or eighty years old more like a ninety but Yeah. But I'm fortunate I work every day. Every day I can't complain you know I. Don't have any regrets because it happened working on a variety of things, but I just have never had on franchise at his Ghabra. Humble I do I have a little inside story only because we talked about bill homes before we are recording and interview it was the question was asked of was the most inappropriate time of you using the porky pig voice and you mentioned how bill homes called You I. Think it was at a at a funeral. Has Been Moments that has topped that since then. Not.

"Well most people don't think about this stuff. Yeah I would like to you you brought up different aspects of your Korean I'd like to branch off here and speak about one of my personal favorites favorite character of mine you were no face in the he's right there spirited away Janos. It's a very unique and I'm assuming a very unique character to play because you're just kind of portraying emotion through through not much more than a few grunts here in the not much lower. He didn't start talking until he in a frog and started vomiting the world. So that's that's got more dialogue. Do are he kinda wanted to run by? Motion could you could you speak about what it was like working on that that film or any sort of? Any highlights for you for playing character. Sure Well first of all if the the voice was done by the good folks, Pixar, and because I had done a lot of work for Pixar, they just call nicking the gallon was casting directors. It's called the into work and a casting director will basically look at the project and look at the cast the debris in and say I think you'd be right for this. I think you'd be right for that. So Nikki off I would be right for as little frog that upset at the beginning of fell. And throughout the course of the day they realize will this ghostly character? No face each fraud and takes on a whole different personality. So that's what this is. Why don't you come up and try some things for no face so that's how that whole thing again, how it was literally a day in my life I never. Work on a film if dubbed, you only get to work on or see the arts of the film that you're in. So you know I mean they kind of explained that a little girl and her parents get stranded they turn into pigs and she goes to work at. Those, a bath house refer spirits and I was like Okay And and so I. Got To actually see when I was working on those arts that I was in or. I will tell you that one of my all time favorite moments as an actor was the scene where no face at Eton, a ton of crap and got huge the wrong like ours in any vomited everything. And so I don't know if you guys have ever done anime but to want along. Okay to donate as an actor you've got to be this much cited because there's going to be an extra mouth flap that they didn't every time pay exactly right have. Though if you're this much psychic, you're in. Improv, skills come in handy. There is this moment of Wyatt after no face vomited. ad-lib is. Why? Keep it in the film but the. So yeah. That's one of my favorite parts I didn't know that Johnson came up with. That's stick at what. So you're very good at 'cause also the the squirrel and emperor's new groove played. That is well. And, you did a very good of I remember hearing an interview you're like I'm GonNa go outside and think about this for a second and then you met a squirrel that gave me the inspiration. So what now what you has been? The most like lightbulb moment character. that. Is it no face? Is it bucky like or do you have another character that you like I'm you're like really excited about what you came up with four? Creating that character is a great question Wow. Every characters excitingly you're doing. Though I mean, those are does our jobs from years ago. So I'm doing stuff right now that unfortunately Iran under NDA. About. Next time. But I will tell you guys that after about a dozen all bags and the decision was made I said to my agent time if I don't. I might think about. Quitting. Why and I still because this is all I ever wanted to do this spy got into it and she's my age time was a little. Herbs about. Handful she wanted to commission. So of course. By Giles her job. I got lucky and by the way nobody to this day mortar roaches ever since the voice I never myself voice. Right Utilizing this is great but no, I'm I'm just one of the guys who sure these characters I think irony Morton anybody but I. Have done here. I I really like that story is because it is a testament of I. Think you call like of you know people who find a talent and that's something that they really like they had that laser focus and it's like that is kind of like the. X factor of finding success between you know doing what you WanNa do, and then finding, you know being able to live off of it which is crazy 'cause it's i. don't you know how do you at a young age? I wanted do porky pig versus bugs bunny or Daffy or tasr or what made you to go for a porky? Or just why didn't I? Just say, I, want to be an actor or a letter to do was. I think I started out as a fan of the character. And I found the comedy Endurance you know I like like you said I broke down to stutter but I have friends who are stand up comics or who are sitcom Akers dramatic actors, runway, musical theater people, and most didn't say a to story for I want to be on Saturday night live sometimes they do. But I've had really really good friends who just wanted had this. Need before. Yeah Yeah I mean I I. Didn't know there was a business called voiceover let alone away. Here, and by the way people assumed that looney tunes is by is my life and it's not use it to promote my career by this week I had or sessions and only one was learning tips so You know I think people do need to be a extremely driven and focus of what they want. An even if what your what your role is. To be in the industry was that mean to you commercially what does that mean to you? "I don't know. Regret. got. Failed regret even try. I mean I think that's really sick actually that people when as you continue getting older, a lot of people start looking at more of the reasons why or how many times they're gonNA, fail instead of being open and positive and seeing the opportunities. It's it's really weird that Yeah. Like people fierce fear failure so much where it's like if you're going to try everything and try as May options you can you open yourself up to so much more failure which is just part of the process because you can't get better unless you fail because you learn so much more from that I mean I is like not not it's not acting voiceover life. Yeah. But but everything translates to 'cause like I'm sure that the first time you were like, I, want to do the porky pig voice. I like how long did it take you to figure out that pattern of stutter? How long did it take you to figure out like putting in that Ad Lib Line at the end? Up Before, I was able to relate to the voice because I was working on that when I was a kid before my voice changed. In your head to celebrate and. Say. Oh. This sounds perfect I. Mean. I just came across every. Cassette every voice over class I ever took from my first moment I was fourteen. I'm going to I'm going to be digitizing because cassettes or magnetic. But I'm listening to myself. I'm blind. Will I saw I was My voice had changed. So you know I had a lot of luck. During this entire journey. First of all associated La Second of all I had the ability to do this study thing. But then I was also really well trained acting and Improv voiceover or the timing was happened to be a working actor at the time that passed away and they were calling. So I don't take that for granted either walking Oh chiming and is definite art of it but the obsession of wanting to do this. I, think everybody who's really successful in life. First of all do what you love. Don't do for a dime, but do you love you do what you lawn you'll be willing to do it for free when you get paid for this icing on the case but everybody doing what they love doesn't feel like work. Yeah Yeah it. It's you know and You know again like Tom said could you because opportunity in luck? Don't mean anything if you're not willing to act on it so That's the secret recipe I in a way. You can create your own luck because you I think are marina interview. You said like you know the industry isn't ready for me and I'm not ready for the industry yet, and so like you have to just work really hard and you know the moment that you know I don't WanNa say when opportunity arose but. You got the audition for looney tunes. It was more like you know I've been working. I didn't just sit waiting for the opportunity correct and. When? I when I when I called and Mel Blanc House Fourteen I was in junior high. You know. I remember my mom was very patient driving crashed recording session watch Mel Blanc work after I talked to him and we're driving away and it's my mongering innocent late I think now is my time to pursue this and my mom's like Very very divided but I'll tell you guys you know I've been doing or e for over thirty years now. Eight Tut's. Well I don't scared I don't want anything. My name is not worn or might roach so. Yeah I mean. Anytime of the project. And and just for a dose of. Reality. Just. As a as a person who is like working through kind of finding my myself and my voice and where I exist in of vocal sense and all of that. Other people who are looking to get into voice over looking to be these characters that kind of thing how much time from that crashing recording session finding mel? Blanc's number. Did you spend on becoming an actor and figuring out? What your instrument was. How long did take you before you're like, okay I know what I am now. I always knew what I was. I just do not get there. Right? Irrelevant how how long it took to get there kind of okay. So I I left that like working session and I told this story before but I'll tell it again because you know what when I called Mel Blanc. during the course of the conversation he he mentioned the name of the studio he was working at that. We he didn't say that they have the time. Yes An. With him. I. All studio pretending to be assistant and I said, hi, I'm calling in Mr Blanks appointment autism I, ask Thursday at nine and they we've had them onto calendar for Wednesday at eleven. Rights Wednesday. Eleven of wrong dance Asari. So to my mom skipping school on what state You'RE GONNA, take to watch no blank work and she says, cool. So when we got to the studio at told the receptionist I were guests of blackness talks we watch and she said always easing that over there and we went to that booth over there anisette his producer were Ruben friends receptionist and she said, we wash and the bridges that Jeremy. So I watched the guy work which was. Died Happy Day because I'm watching nope like dude or he big and. So then when I realized, my voice hadn't changed fourteen I can't do this right now I I came home from that recording session and I called Hanna Barbera, and they referred me to a guy named Gaza up. So I started studying voice over fourteen to eighteen, I studied was over every teacher that Los Angeles had to offer assent two years at an acting conservatory and three years. In Improv by I agent, we got a high school when I was eighteen. For. The next five years I.

Is with us today and we later get to pick his brain and get his nerd on about Mrs Doubtfire. Let's so. It's going to be on with it, but thank you so much for joining us we. I have to say. This is a an honor for me and I know we talked Kinda in our what we call our digital green screen of how much the looney tunes have meant to us in our fandom in our nerd them and This is a complete honor to have you on the show. Thank your please but thank you. how has how has this quarantine and everything been for you? How's how is life in? Twenty Twenty Bob urban. Well. That's a multifaceted question girl. I would I I miss. I was on the phone of just four this little buddy of mine who works on soap opera and he said you know I miss a handshake and this hugging people I just I. I went to the bank the other day to make the opposite as I still do it the old fashioned way at Mass on saying to the teller. Got Him smiling. Right and I'm not going to rob you just because I'm worrying about it feels awkward. So. You know I, look. Everybody's had to adapt. I can tell you professionally how I've had to adapt I've had to I mean I did this within ten days of quarantine I had to completely upgrade my studio. I mean I. I've always had a home studio for auditions I've never worked from home. So with intended as I spent brand. And I upgraded my home studio McCoy's had broadcast booth but did not have broadcast all our where we're software and I do and with actors are extremely fortunate because we're the only John row of acting that were able to continue making a living at this. I got friends in New York on Broadway they can't even wait tables. So no I don't I don't. taken for granted and. It was it was one of those things where it was this major disruption but if you just had to go with the flow were able to keep working. So I consider myself fortunate. Info I could see Kudos to you for having the wherewithal to make that pivot within the first ten days of everything happening because I'm also a voice actor and you know you you see within the community of of the industry that you're in everyone was trying to figure out scrambling to figure out how to make it work. So the fact that you did it in ten days, it's Kinda like all. Okay Nice. That's Beijing. It was kind of like you know do or die I am on a handful right now, an animated feature right now, a whole bunch of games right now, and if I didn't want to be replaced or disrupt. Election I had to I had to go with the flow and. You know you wasn't I didn't even ask twice I just did what? I think twice about West hanaway. Allergy. The fact that we're talking right now on zoo ruled myself. Back. That I was able to get the gallery view on thrill I mean I know, Lsu this is my knowledge of technology a light switch that's on that's off it so A moral story gang of I can do this anybody. I mean variance. Wouldn't count yourself to sure I. You know obviously, we talked about how we like to do a little bit of a homework when we have our guests on and how you ended up getting Mel Blanc's number and calling him When you decided that you wanted to voice porky pig and you know going through the phone books that's an engineer witty I feel like you know but you know. People ask me this all the time. How did she get the nerve to do that I? Didn't think it was nerdy I thought luck you WANNA be a doctor taller doctor. You want to be call on account. I wanted to be an animated pigs all. And and I think sometimes you know when you're young. You just don't think that this is something that is unusual. and become adults with imitations ourselves out of fear. And not wanting to look stupid. My biggest fear was that I was wasn't to find his own number or he was going to hang up on but the worst case scenario is again a male hang up on me. Yeah Yeah we always says we say here at Nirvana it's one of our core philosophies is that you can't get a yes unless you ask. So it's like reaching out to. Or reaching out to some of the guests that we've had, you can't do this. You know even though we were like two degrees one degree of separation like reaching out to you. It's like well. Unless I ask him. It is very much. So kind of rewiring yourself to to make sure you have You're in touch with that part of yourself as a kid who really doesn't care about what people think and just kind of wants what they want and isn't afraid to go get it and it's it's definitely you know pays off tenfold if you can if you can find a way to to hang onto it. And, and it's it's really cool to see that like that kind of founding principle for you and you were fourteen calling and the phone books and sending letters and asking all the kind of questions has followed you up to now where you know. You don't mind like doing whatever you think might be the necessary thing and finding solutions for whatever problem. That's what lead you to intend as I had solutions for things because I wasn't like questioning what the right thing to do was I was just like looking for the answers and I found that there's no possibility of success without risking failure and you know I always tell my students that Sunday you're going to be on your deathbed and..

"You're not planning on coverage so kudos to ocean for everybody. Getting the nice pipeline cover. Canadians GM, Bob Bergen. I know it's Berge of guys schooling. Call them burger van before you had some statement that you call the burger van. Jeep Berge Berge of on. He had some comments basically nothing. I don't think it was controversial. He was just saying essentially that the Canadians are going to stand, Pat. They're not going to go shoot for the moon to they're going to kind of continue on this sort of rebuild on the fly. 'cause it's Montreal. So everything gets made a big deal of what did you make comments biz? Oh, yeah. No, I stay. The course. I mean. And you're talking about not giving away assets for for something. That's I mean, they're going to be a cussed playoff team. And you know, who knows how they're going to do in the second half of the season. But here's a guy who fuck man. The last two years he's been getting abused. People wanted his head in a box man with with of course, the PK some bad trade and some other moves he made and listen, I'll say this. I thought that we'd won the the gal Chen there. There's on coyotes. I thought we fleeced the Canadians a little bit. But you know, obviously, the maxed only trades working out there. Having a successful season. Carey price whose name to the all star game. He's having a good year things are back to normal. I think he saved himself another three four years in Montreal. This team's on the up and up. So he deserves a lot of credit for getting shit on and abused for two years. Well, that's what I think that if there's any credit be given that he. He hasn't waivered one bit. No, he's given. He's given his plan. He's given his idea. And no matter how much heat he's taken. He's like I'm sticking to it, which is very respectful because if you're going to go down, go down your way, right? So he's he's basically said, listen, I believe in my plan, your I believe in what we're doing. And even though we've had some success now they're not sitting in the playoffs right now. But they're not far off at all. And with the goal you. They have they could easily end up getting in. But why be buyers and why try to change things up after you've said repeatedly. Listen, we're going to be patient. We're going to take our time. They got some nice draft picks. And they also realize that like what's the point in China? Go sell some young guys for a little trade this year when when we probably know down we can't win the Cup this year. So let's figure out on how to become in two years at true Cup contender. The problem is Shay Weber's getting a little bit older when he's in the lineup. They're totally different team show to him. He got a puck right in the face. The other night ended up playing last night with the cage on that guy's a warrior. So it's tough because they have is getting a little bit older. But they also realize they got some young players. They're going to be some very very. Solid players in that why ever trade any of them just to try to bring in an older veteran and make a run this year. Yeah. He's got the quote quote. I'm not going to give up a first round pick for a rental. It's just not going to happen. So I wanna be clear today. It's not happening. If the something that makes sense short-term and long-term Joe it but giving up assets for short term. It's short term. It's not going to happen, and quote, so yeah. Like, I said, it's just basically telling he's gonna keep keep the stay. The course up in Montreal. There's probably the biggest criticism you face regarding that shea Weber PK trade, and we can say way out of this into the PK thing after RA, but like PK started deteriorate a little bit too. He's starting to miss some times, he's had some back issues. I know she Weber's miss more time, but like in the grand scheme of things if she Weber can get his game back and sustain it for another three four years. Like like, we're not talking about as bad as trade is everyone is making this out to be as you mentioned with this team is a different team was shea Weber in the lineup. So like, there's let's let's watch this thing play out. A little bit. Yeah..

Jeep Berge Berge Shay Weber Montreal shea Weber Joe Bob Bergen GM Chen Carey Pat China two years three four years one bit
