"Forever young, which was written as a song, too young Jacob Dylan of the Wallflowers. He wasn't in the wallflowers at the time. He was just a baby. Yeah, This is forever A great song. Now, like every Bob Dylan song the covers are better. Of course you know forever. Oh, yeah, that's from Father to son, didn't they? This is the theme song and I believe it was all the same lyrically to, um for the Show Parenthood. But it was a different version. Does that start with May God bless and keep you always? Yeah, even on the album that it's from, There's two versions on the album One's kind of a fast one one's kind of a slow one. That's how I realized I like Bob Dylan, by extension is I like Peter, Paul and Mary, and they sang a lot of Dylan songs. How about? Um, Yeah, I mean, like you said, Steve, Everything is better from such a great prolific songwriter. Boy. We've angered the bear will save this for another date. But, yeah, I do like his voice. I'm starting to come around to his voice and appreciate it more as Storyteller. As opposed to a pure vocalist. Well, like Springsteen, you know, you know what we'll do. How about started a week ago, like a good 20 minutes of that, So let's not, but well, Here's what we'll do. Rocco next week. Maybe we can do a Dylan Day where we play the Dylan version, and then we play our preferred cover of it. And then we sort of figure out who's the winner. That's good. I mean, to also look at like Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks. They're not. They've got weird voices. But there You just kind of Yeah. Appreciate the song writing. Behind the voice. We'll talk about it. All right. We'll talk about in the living years. Remember that song? Wait, Why do we do this? Why don't we take a break? We'll have a little more fathers the musical fund with Ratko After the break that one we return. It is the don and Steve show on my talk Nothing but good times.

"Um at karaoke, and I was like, What is that? I love this song is a dance with my father. Yes, let's play a little bit of that Luther If I could get another change. Oh, you're killing me. I know. Walk another dance with him. I play song that would never never how hot I love to dance with my father. Oh, okay. You know how you get, like teary eyed over thinking of your daughter getting married? Yes, I think of dancing with my father at my wedding. Oh, my gosh. Oh, gee, Rocco Mia Bronco. We were just going to do sort of stupid country songs that we made fun of, and now you're going right in for open heart surgery. All right. What else do you have? This is good for us. I'm a big Bob Dylan guy.

As COVID-19 Crisis Ebbs, Some Seeking 9/11-Style Commission to Investigate Virus

"With lingering questions over the origin of the covert nineteen pandemic there's a push on Capitol Hill for a full blown investigation two senators one Democrat and one Republican have introduced a bill to establish a National Commission to investigate the corona virus outbreak that's killed more than six hundred thousand Americans senators Bob Menendez as in Susan Collins say the pandemic's death toll is more than two hundred times that of the nine eleven attacks but Congress has yet to establish that type of Blue Ribbon commission to investigate vulnerabilities in public health and issue guidance on how to better prepare for the future but the bill has an uncertain fate just like the failed attempt to create a commission to study the capital insurrection earlier this year Jackie Quinn Washington

"Not man's idea. God's idea and every church that has joined us charlie has experienced exponential growth. I mean exponential growth and his voting bachman pointed out this fault line in his book the woke churches and those churches that are waking liberty in their responsibility to to declare it and defend it. Those churches are growing in the woke. Churches are not and and and people are are wanting leadership in in these unprecedented times. And i. I'm grateful that bob's here for this reason and i love this about this man in some of the most difficult circumstances that i that i've seen in this country and fifty six years. This man is an optimist. He's an optimus because he can. He can see the forty thousand foot view and he never gives up in this ideal. The stream of america has always inspired me and to realize that the combination of his faith. And as we've shared on the on this program. Aristotle politics being the highest form of community morality and socio ability combining is the hope for this nation. If you don't mind charlie. One of one of the most inspiring stories Especially on leadership. And that's what we're looking for right now in this vacuum that's been created by a president that that can't put a sentence together how overnight something can change and you shared one time and i remember being a young boy jimmy. Carter's president my parents. I mean double digit interest rates They were struggling to make ends meet. My father was part of the military. And he had decimated the military. You drive over. The coronado bay bridge and the pacific fleet was in in ruins. It just look a mothball fleet. And there wasn't a lot of hope in the country at that point. And you know carter on and a sweater and tells everyone turned the thermostats down. You were a congressman back. Then tell the story if you would. And it is so inspiring about commuting from ohio to dc. Charlie you love this. But people have tried to destroy for enterprise and and with a creative capacity hit going around so now they've begun to learn the one of the best ways to do it is to step on oxygen host if you just shut it down so that they can have electricity or heater conditioning. And so jimmy came in and did that. He said we need to learn to live with less. Roger sweater iraj bicycle. Where your sweater. America's coming to an end next tuesday a week there in anybody anything by can do about it and he shut down all of the logging and and all the drilling and sure enough. There's a shortage a lane so people could only go on alternate days and they could only get a certain amount of gasoline. So they didn't have a treat. You like like you're on an airline. Nowadays who were nurse ratchet comes up and down the hall screaming at you for not having your mask over your nose. Used to be that they were trying to treat you nicely so so if you had so much gasoline you worked for your only open for three four or five hours. And that's when when democrats are when liberals do this when the left does this is something they never take responsibility so this is the way it is. Inflation is going to explode next year. And they're gonna say well. Let's just be biden's didn't have anything to do with that while he is just the way that it was so jimmy. Did all of these things just like biden is doing now and sure enough. Interest rates went went to twenty one percent. Inflation went to eighteen percent. Gas lines were short and they said that's what the future is ronald. Reagan came along said nonsense. Said there's nothing wrong. This country that proper leadership can't cure and so he we had the election. Let me just say that. Also during that nineteen eighty Because america was mothballed only one plane in three was air where they only one in three could sail. America was on the ropes. The they had a conference of african unity and now called the african union and the first conference. The speaker was the president of the soviet union landed brezhnev and he said this is one thousand nine hundred looking to nine hundred nine. He said because of what we the soviet union doing by the end of this decade we were able to work our will any place on the planet. The correlation of forces economic military and political on the site of socialism and communism. Ronald reagan comes in and said nothing wrong with america. Forget this nonsense. And so he took all the regulations are first of all. We all got elected november of nineteen eighty and between november and january. We took office. Listen i drove back and forth six times to washington from southern ohio. We knew there was not a single filling station open after three o'clock in the afternoon. If we didn't have a full tank of gas we weren't gonna make it home that that night and so ronald reagan comes any takes all those regulations on. He opens up oil. Let you drilled new things that all those regulations through in the potomac kill the fish free the country and a lidar driving home and and for easter. And she's asleep on the front seat. I live in a place called hillsboro. Ohio on a hill. And as you come up. There's three filling stations in one block off the center down and those filling stations were all closed by three or four in the afternoon for over a year under jimmy carter. We come at eleven o'clock at night. All three of those filling stations are open and wake her up as lizzie. Looked said had we not one that wouldn't have taken place well we elected donald trump. donald trump said. We don't need to send our money to people that hate us and tell us when we can have oil week out enough here number one source of of natural gas on the planet. We can in an with a matter of eighteen months. America's energy independent and so now elected folks have gone back in our. Your were dependent again. The leadership is what makes the difference. We don't need to be defeated. The future we just need to do the right thing and america can of. We'll do it. Amen believe that we can try out no perfect. Email us your thoughts. Republicans to Introduce Censor Resolution Against the Squad for Contributing to Anti-Semitic Attacks

"Group of Republicans This is from Breitbart will introduce a sensor resolution to condemn and censure the so called squad. For defending foreign terrorist organizations and using rhetoric, which contributed anti Semitic attacks across the United States. Now you would think this is not controversial. We're talking, of course about centering Omar. An AOC and Talib and Presley. But it is controversial because this is the heart and soul of the Democrat Party. And the Republicans. The group has led by Michael Waltz of Florida. Good guy Jim Banks, Indiana. Claudia, attending New York. She's great to remember they tried to steal the race from her. The resolution says the squad members of defended foreign terrorist or I didn't hear the attorney general talk about this. I didn't hear that fake phony fraud. Merrick Garland talk about this. As the late great Bob Grant would say. The central resolution says the squad members have defended foreign terrorist organizations. And inciting anti Semitic attacks across the United States. And so forth. The group of Republicans wrote in the resolution that Talib has accused the Israeli government ethnic cleansing and claimed Israel was promoting racism and the human humanization. The resolution meant his Omar calling the Israel military response to Hamas strikes an act of terrorism rather than self defense. She also accused the United States are backing crimes against humanity. This is why Judy Jazz, Ceron. I want you to listen media it. Your low IQ Cuba phones, media matters you low I Cuba phones. Paid for him bought for This is a jihadi wing of the Democratic Party. Most Muslims do not conduct themselves this way.

"To so max seriously on your recorder for you now you were late. You've got patriot. Supporters to keep happy now man. You can't just like skip a week or anything like that. you know. this doesn't go out live right. i know i know but This is money we're talking about. I don't fool around here you go. Here's a quarter quartering you. What were you doing out in the yard or just sending a few stakes down a little bit landscaping done. Well i mean i'm gonna do the landscaping i look at the time. I enjoy operating the machinery. Speaking of that. I do have a delivery coming. Does this involve some sort of trick to get me to go outside and do some yard work. Because i'm not on board. no. I'm doing the work myself because i enjoy it in between visits to other dimensions can be out there just doing a little landscaping operating little mini excavator. It's gonna be fun. Oh you're having an excavator delivered. Yes that's right. I'm renting one. Oh just for the week okay. So with that comes. While i'm away you can decide point. Just tell them to swinging around back rights okay. There were set up here in the lab. I'm gonna do my whole thing. I high i max. I'm an engineer and inventor and thing here is the bagel trying to thousand which i'm not gonna turn on just yet the bagel trying two thousand opens up portals to other dimensions have been traveling through these portals for over three years visited a hundred and fifty plus different dimensions. I want to say at this point. my log cured so there's been a few duplicates and Yeah it's somewhere in that ballpark. Something different worlds and yet. I'm sure i've just barely scratched the surface of all the different presumably infant dimensions. There are out there jack. Strobe here my roommate is actually from one of these other dimensions. As a the whole thing you can go back and listen to how that happened. But he's here now. And i'm looking up the on list here look right like why haven't turned the biggest two thousand yet the next patron that we want to give a shoutout to is somebody named fluker. Yes pflueger as an interesting name. It is rather unique. I hope you think nice thoughts about him. Because some of these haven't gone so well no they haven't. We did try the whole reverse psychology thinking. That went really poorly. So don't do that again. Nice thoughts so as i turn on the bagel. trying two thousand here in a minute. We're going to be saying out loud. Pflueger had thinking about our patron flu generous patron and hopefully the dimension that we go to somehow involve something good about that sound think. Someone's here. I'm gonna go check it all back in bit. Good luck on your trip. All right i'm going to turn sing on get going. We'll see when i get back. So turning on the battlefront two thousand. While i think about pflueger i'm saying pflueger and thinking good about the good things lugar googlers. Great lugar is the best. Amac's your bob. Cat is here. i'm just going to have him. Put it on the side yard. Oh yeah yeah. that's great. thanks all right. Two thousand is warming up again. He took pflueger. Puerto looks stable. All the rings the machine or nominal ready. I'm going through. Oh gosh wow okay hang on let me show my puerto here and then i'm gonna describe outdoors. Any birds die. You know. I do hear some mangy senate dogs in the distance but i appear to be in a very disgusting looking trailer park as a whole row of single wides laid out here in front of me in various states of extreme disrepair. I'm standing right in front of one heinous off. The roof is sagging a windows. I don't know if they've ever been cleaned. There's nobody around outside here. So i guess i'm just gonna head up to this closest one here and given a knock and see somebody's around you can learn a little bit about this dimension. Hopefully this whole dimension isn't like this. I don't know steps here and knock on the. Oh just just swung open okay. Anybody home hello There's no answer peaked. My head in. Here oh i think oh oh he hit it. Just hit me as a really not a great smell okay. But i'm looking inside. I think i see jack stroke. But he's is he. Hey are you. Okay hey oh. I think something may be wrong here. Okay the stroh sauce lifeless body. that's a still feels a little warm. Were where did it's not war. Remain alive but you should know. Kill them several days. Okay hollow graham jack strobe. I didn't hear you activate. No that wasn't shown. I watch the the crime. I read newer tech novels that the murderer often returns zia the crime. Not okay i for the first person i think back now. Okay therefore you are okay. And i called the rate first off not a murderer. I have never set foot in this trailer nor this entire trailer park before today before moments ago all those as our exactly whatever say. I'm sure it is okay. This is also. You appear to be strobe are you. Some kind of artificial. Intelligence officials don't l. k Are you actually gesture jober. Do you just look and sound exactly like Been hologram many of his memories as his last checkpoint which unfortunately was a month ago. But i do have most of his time doubt for mary's face plus knowledge thing. That's great. what should i call you. You can call me jack. Strove find jack strobe. I'm just gonna head out I don't think there's anything i can do here. Her the knock on the door opened up now if you ever year murderer i don't think this guy here even got murdered. Well then first of all. I'm going to need some facts first of all you name effects your name. What's your name name is max. Max max was that show for max. Essential for anything. Your names just. Max max can be bothered with more syllables. That's fine you over that one. The call yes. Jack strove the whole graham gastro as natural checks out. That's right. he's not. Actually jackson object strobe. Is this guy here. the right. So here's the thing. I was going to ask you if you had any sort of connection to the deceased but it would appear that you already. At least his name. How do you know the deceased name. Sir what'd you say. Your name was max. What's that short for. Max wait now. we did. This dance already. Haven't we the charles the hotel coup. You see what i'm saying. Pal is it. Max how do you know this. Man right yeah. How do i know this guy. When i did say earlier that i've never set foot on this trailer park nor in this very strong for yourself. That's what i told. Jester polygram here. So obviously i met jetro outside of the trailer park somewhere else. We used to work together was we were. Coworkers workers bud me first of all. Where am i. Man is second of all my name actually. This is probably seventh of all. Because i've done a few things. But since i came in here but regardless of what number it is the name is dirk dirk pflueger. Oh excellent detective pflueger perfect yet. Detective works too friendly thing. But you know what i can be bad cop. It's alright this is great a respected member of the local community. I'm so glad you're here because obviously what's happened here is this hologram has confused me for somebody else. I've never been in here before. I was coming here to meet the locals and to check out the local scene and i knocked on the door and it was open and this guy was just here unfortunately deceased so blessed with all of the deceased memories up to about a month ago it's loosely. Drew that max of jack. That's lease a lot onset. They were in a sales. I should say we were stable organization together and jack myself basically stole a bunch of clients from match max mad thing not a theft investigator or fraud investigator. Really a good thing. I'm not any of those. I only specified justin murder. So even if you confess to like any number of crimes today doesn't matter anyway. You're dead continue. So in addition to seal the number of max clients the best terms. Well nothing illegal about that. Last part i did not murder him though. Listen archie gonna like look for evidence or something. I think you'll find that. There's no evidence here that i committed any crime. Well first of all sunny. I wanna let you now something you probably already as everybody knows the first three rules of motor investigation. That's right location. Location location those the rules of real estate and your in the location that i'm in right now which means you're on the location of the dead body. I just wanted to touch base with everyone in my location before i started investigating my location. That's right rule number two location now. We'll get to number three. After i finished examining the location. Is this murder investigation. Is this real estate. It'd be surprised. I often the crossover. Now here's the thing sunny boy. I'm gonna need you to give the facts. Jack. that's right. the facts two of 'em specifically on facts. I wanted to give me something. That's not if that that's something that delight. i want to give me true truths. I don't wanna give me lie. Doesn't have to necessarily be in that order. In fact it's a lot more fun if it's not hanging you said santa boy and you also said jack are you talking. Which one of us were you talking to all right jack in the colloquial sense your jack. Not jack okay. It's also a little confusing because he keeps popping his hologram around the room. Kind of just seemingly randomly chevy stranded like throw me off balance. I appears you are armed straight. I on on low point a gun at your right now. Hey click sound that. We all heard just now wasn't enough to see new. Don't as me bro. listen. I'm gonna slowly take off my backpack through and weapons. What i would add. Is there for self defense. Only i'm setting it down. You can see had no other weapons. I'm not holes during anything we lift up my shirt. Oh wow in fact. I would've asked feed and not do that actually. Wow that's okay. well. I don't really need to see the bag now. Obviously not a threat out law to facts and in fact that's right son sunny boy sunny jack sunny. Just sorry i'll stop saying can fusing because he's jaclyn. You're jack you know what i'm saying. Third base. i'll call you jeremy. You okay with that max Short sounds great. Go ahead jeff. Okay sure fact number one. I am from the city of seattle. Sounders made up but go on fact or maybe not fact number two. I'm recording this whole conversation. That's felony Fact or possibly not fact number three is that i am a professional wrestler right. Now i'm not gonna guess which one of those is alive. Make sure that's clear. I'm just entering all of these into evidence. Now if any of this ends up being used in court and proving a detriment to the prosecution case you'll be fine and prison basically ally investigate that age. Old tactic called entrapment background. Check him and find the wasn't special wrestler. Say wow boylans like honestly can be any number of those. He's real good at this game. But here's what i wanna know maxi boy. That's right. jeremy. Mr travis boy. Here's the thing. What is that hold on the refrigerator. Handle this yeah. I see it as a smudge. A duck smudge looks like some kind of greece on the inside of the refrigerator handle jack but you know anything about this snow. I literally just walked in. Jack jack jack. The one that goes and i can see i around paper. Well that's is that it's not gonna happen any then let me just skirt that different part of the handle it all right Listen to him just showed up here. Maybe we should like. I dunno go to the neighbors and see if any of them saw anything well i was going to make a bit of a more thorough investigation. The contents of this fridge but a pretty much everything. I need to know by now. This cottage cheese shouldn't be this keller. I'm interested in knowing the neighbors of scene because they saw you coming. Maybe they saw going. You know what. I'm saying you probably. That's all right well. I'm just going to walk out the front door here. It's important to get a good smell surroundings. Hey wait a minute. That dollar game. Follow us out of the trailer. Whatever did you like activate upon his death. You knew how long he's been dead for would add as two and a half days. Couldn't have been meek. Because i just showed up. Well can you prove your absence grooving negative. That's another classic law enforcement technique. Ask him to prove a negative. They never can just like you can't right now. Say what's up nope. That's a raccoon. That's just the shoe. i think that's i'm sure that if you speak to the neighbors and the other surrounding trailers none of them will have seen me lough our next door. Who don't mind me interrupting you sir. But obviously you're man coming in and out of your neighbors house recently in the last couple of days does he have. Is this your watch. What i don't know know. I've never seen this guy before my wait a minute. You kind of millions. Talk hussein. sucks out that you look like this guy here. It's hologram year. You look a lot like him for like old wrinkly and gray suspicion seems a little suspicious itself them at. Can't you see that man in there. Who seems to be slightly transparent. It's probably just the drapes obviously has long. Yeah okay so you noticed. I think that's another hologram. Oh i just madrid. Give people the benefit of the third a bother. You say you need to your. He's a fraudster. What's reported to the landscaping crimes. Yeah that's right. This guy only does murder so there. We should be back with you in about a month now to the business at hand. This particular grizzly marta. The man inside that trailer right there. He's dead. I know crazy right now. She's still watching us through the window. I mean it's a big window. I you don't usually see bay-windows like that on mobile homes you do you. Hey you seem like you're living your best life. I don't think he's living any life. I'm telling you he's a hologram. There you can do it. Sturdy admits that he is allah. Graham who's gonna take me flesh and blood human or these holograms whole auster. That's right also. Have you taken a look at this long. It really does look needs mode does not my problem. That's landscaping crafts departments problem. Now i want you to really grasp and just take in the gravity situation. Meant that gentleman is dead. His goose is cooked. Yeah i understand. Ganders been pandered i understand. I'm the one who discovered the body. Now you just you discover the body. That is a real fun way to say it's not fun. It wasn't fun it's reached in there. I don't understand how you didn't seem to notice it at all just walked right in there. Listen here sonny. I've smelled death more times than you could ever dream okay. It's dark and it's changed me as a person. Listen we got to get ourselves back into that trailer right now and investigate the premises just a little bit more. Okay fine now really wreaks it yet. You heard mashed always gets his man and you sir. Are that man. Unless as i suspect you yourselves are in fact another hologram chest. Why why have. I just like that. Oh well that's the easy part of police works on terminating. Whether or not a person standing right in front of you is or is not a hologram. Listen i didn't murder. This guy doesn't look like he's been murdered. I don't see any evidence of actual trump shoot. I should look at the body lipstick on his collar. On my caller. What kind of color lipstick do you wear. I wear lipstick This trailer is packed to the gills with holographic projectors apparently surely there's also like some kind of cameras recording system like surveillance footage. You could just access and see what exactly what happened at good league jack here myself. Change the password since the last check was the face for this. This this this this right here. He can see that says my secret crush thoughts. I thought at every crush. I've ever had as jack in there. Were a lot of and none of them were the right answer. Well let me This is when the deductive powers that i developed over many years of training. Come into play. Hang on let me try something go that was it. Oh what do i. It was orange crush. That's not even secret. That's like the most popular flavor gone with grape strawberry. Those are secret. No one knows about those terrible hen. Man i mean i know it. Wasn't you technically orange crush. Well all right now time. For the moment of truth we're going to hit that play button and watch. That was the wrong button. That does that well the fact that you were the one who pointed me to this file tells me some you you're on the right value. Hit the wrong button. All right five like little. Try mother mom. That's a lady. I mean that's your mom or lady than you'll ever be what is happening now. Did you get the wrong file again. Somehow i guess that's our trailer jetro. I really need to call more often. Looks real excited to see jack. Oh wow oh they're just going right into it right into it. Oh berkeley i thought standards were a bit high o. k. o. But everyone seems to stop moving. She fall asleep well on top of him kissing and then moving to see my flesh twitching. I can barely see that. Most of your body is covered by mrs lugar. There ever got a romantic as. I'm starting to think not hit fast forward. Just hours of detective. Luger's mom laying on top of jack strove. She is a heavy sleeper. She moves she so slow down. Look or well. I mean how do those count is usually an presumably. They don't usually end with him. Being smothered to death. We stopped short death now. I'll be honest. I probably should have recognized that purview. When i first walked in here i've never known another woman to wear. How would you. How did you make a perfume smell in this place. Want Influence? Get Power!

"Start with this idea of power and what power is and one way like you said it's been studied for many many years One way that we can think about power at least as it relates to leaders and managers and organizations is that power is the ability to influence the behavior of other people and also to resist unwanted influence. So you can get people to do things. Give people the behavior a different way while also not changing the way you behave because you can resist that unwanted influence in an important thing about power is just because you have the ability to influence other. People doesn't necessarily mean you choose to do so. Yeah so and also if you're never influenceable by somebody you're going to be really left behind. It's important to have good influences in your life right. You've got to yourself up. You know if you if you get married. And i'm pretty sure this evidence based i'm going out on a limb here if you get married and allow your spouse to influence your behavior at least for me. My marriage wouldn't have lasted very loss. There's a lot of give and take in a in a spousal relationship in any relationship. And i think your point is is really important to emphasize here that you know just having a position of authority doesn't mean that you resist all influence. That is the dumbest thing you could possibly do. Probably or at least one of the things you could do as a leader if you're not allowing yourself to be influenced because you have to be a constant sensor of things going on around you you know in my leadership positions that i've been part of you know or if had the privilege to hold you gotta listen to people and you know if someone brings you a good idea and you know you resisted just because that person doesn't have the power or you wanna show your power that's silly now. Think about resistance of this. Let's say there's a big bullying school writing or bullied bully workplaces. You got a big bully in the workplace. But you've got some dirt on that person and so he believes everybody else and all you do is have to look at that person and they just like cool it or walk the other way and nobody's gonna mess with you like dude what's going up. You know jim bob over here you know. Just come walk where everyone's that believes malone

We did and i learned a lot as a not so rusty pilot. But someone who doesn't get fly all the time and thought to be a great opportunity to put together a show. Maybe two parts depending on how long this conversation goes to talk about. How do we get a lot of aviators back into the right seat. Left seat if they have been flying in a while pat. You do this all the time. What what are some of the things that you would like to share with people that are out there that may have not flown in a year or more. Well you know. I think Obviously i worked for a oh. Pa so that's going to be the first top of mind thing and the rusty pilot program that we that we offer It we can We do a number of seminars. every month These are webinars right. Now we're back to doing live things but that would be the the primary first of all decide that you want to get back in the air and then take advantage of the rusty pilots seminar. Because that provides you the minimum that sixty one dot fifty-six which is the regu- talks about flight reviews. That's the that requires that takes care of the minimum one hour of ground school that required for For your flight review In reality if you've been out for awhile it's probably gonna take more than an hour and even even when i'm doing these rusty pilot seminars. Tell people look when you go and hire local flight instructor to fly with you. They're still want to sit down and talk to you a little bit and make sure that you remember all these cool things that we just talked about right so that that would be probably the biggest one right there but they gotta make the decision. They want to get back into it.

Did we want to take the franchise forward or did we want to become free agents and do something different at the same time another one of the top five inch your capital firms was going through this same sort of generational transition where the founding partner wanted to retire in that firm's name was tvi partner. Bob came from tv. I bruce dunleavy and i came from merrill pickard. Kevin harvey was an entrepreneur that we had backed at merrill pickard and so what united the four of us. There was a fifth person but he didn't last very long but what united. The four of us was a desire to build the best firm in the business. We didn't believe that we could do that with our previous franchises. Even though both we're probably in the top five in the business we thought we needed to do something radically different in order to rise to the top and so Given that each of merrill pickard and tv. I had decided not to raise a new fund just to wind down their operations that allowed us to become free agents to start something new

"City of Chicago have formed a pact or contract. Their goal is to of create a snuff video of a Chicago police officer. They want to create a video that shows a Chicago police officer being shot to death. And they want to do this to encourage anti police sentiment, and to encourage people in Chicago and across the country to stand up violently against the police in here's what they have done. So you've got again three dozen street gangs. And their plan is this. That, any they want a people people to anytime. You see a police officer doing his or her duty. Any sort of police interaction with the public everybody start videoing it right everybody start videoing it. And the deal is that if the police officer clears gun, you know host if they pull the gun out of the holster. at that point, these three dozen street gangs in Chicago have agreed that any of their members will immediately shoot that officer that it will be a a free fire zone and if the officer pulled. The any any any number circumstances where an officer might oppo his or her weapon, right but as soon as the gun clears leather. they want to shoot that officer down, and so they've got two parts of the plan they won is they want everybody video waiting videoing the police to if the if a police officer pulls the gun who if you're in the crowd wherever you are you shoot that cop all of you shoot that cop. and. Then they want to use that video. The same way isis used its snuff videos to build its supporters That's not from some scandal sheet that's not some trump campaign video. My friend a family report real quick my young son Scott, and Robbie have been impressed by the life story of the family orthodontist. One after the other, it looks like the young children going to have braces which you know we'll be a really great thing for keeping US poor for the next up several years it. What you do is you pay for braces and then you pay for college and then I think you live under a bridge but the deal is that the orthodontist? Learn to be a dentist and an orthodontist because the United States Navy sent him to a dental school and in return for some years of service after that. And so It's funny because my son Robbie and my son Scott, neither of whom have seen the orthodontist except to say, hi, both of them familiar with his story have each decided that they want to use the military to help pay for some specialized education. Robbie wants to be a dentist and Scott wants to be a a surgeon. And they both are got this thing in their mind that they're going to You get the military to pay for that. And I as the father and I while tuition payer I think it's a really good idea. I applaud their initiative and stuff like that. It interesting thing is though that Young Scott He says that he wants to go the navy and have the navy pay for him to learn how to be a doctor. And we which is fine. But we do politely point out to Him Scott you know where we're an army family and we we like to go in the army in our family and the Navy is not the army and he knows that I think he's fiddling with low bit. Aubrey. My Daughter who's an artillery officer in the army she is going to paratrooper school, learn how to be a parachutist and the deal is that will come up in a couple of weeks or so and I'm pretty excited about that. If they allow people to attend the graduation I'm going to go down to Georgia for bending and be there for that. I think that graduation from a jump school is at the end of their fifth jump and I think that out there wherever it is that they parachuted into that they you know still their gear and form up. And their wings are presented to them then and I I I grew up the the when the song the Green Beret was on the radio and I was in the army when we would dig that out and play it or sing it, and as a young Dad that one line in there put silver wings and my son's chest make him one of America's best. it's it's not my son It's my daughter and had just one hundred percent fine with me I remember there was a will ultimately after she goes through paratrooper school she'll be assigned to the second airborne out of Fort Bragg North Carolina, and the deal is I remember myself being a brand new soldier in some of the training that you go through. After basic and you know we had a a little baby who is on the way about to be born my son Le- who will talk about in the second but I went to the PX post exchange and I did two things I brought him a sleeper low peja not like a swamp, zip him up in a bag or whatever like that on there called by body. More those and I went to the uniform supply store and I got the combat patch, the eighty second airborne, and though the patch was large and and stiff, and the little sleeper was small and soft I nonetheless sewed sitting there in the barracks that eighty second airborne patch on that sleeper to send a a home for that little boy when he came along well. I I I had the right idea. I just had the had the wrong child and it will be a delight to have a Alonzo's Mary in the in the eighty second speaking of Lee. Any rate things must be going well. For him, they have his wife just contracting to have a home built in one of those subdivisions that comes with pools, gyms and stuff like that and development I think is what they call it. So we're pretty excited about that and along those lines. That's enough of that one last story here. From Chicago the Federal Bureau of Investigation has issued an alert to law enforcement in the. There were times my life when I wore a tie every day even when I didn't need to because it was like dress for success dress for the job you WanNa have in my thought was when newspaper Guy Every, day I came to work dressed for a funeral. Because thought. was you never really going to be sent to but you WANNA be able to fit in wherever you go so I always came to work. Can share something close sharing personal with you Sam because we've grown da like complete strangers over these months together. How long have we worked together now ending up ending two months now? Yeah that's all been covert time though. The. Do I don't want this. Have you ever heard of him royds yes can. You know them personally yes me too. Not that often thankfully years pass in between saying yeah, but. The the doctor toy longtime ago. Well, if you sit and really hot water, maybe that'll help you. You know. So the only time I ever get in the TUB is at that. At that juncture in life. Yeah and I really want her can I can I ask a question though because I'm curious colon? No. No about about taking bass like my dad like takes baths like I am. So he's got the emeralds row. Maybe that's just how he was raised right showers in using showers came about in my lifetime when I was a boy known haddish at least where we lived nobody had a shine. Yeah that was a new thing. Maybe your dad just grew up you know yeah, I mean I was wondering I didn't know if it was if it was something like you know like you said like at a certain time like my my dad's is about your age, right? Up Your fire get out of here. No other way to say that might have been you know my dad is a young man like yourself. He you know how old is your dad? Six. Same Age Sixty one outstanding Gary. Cool. Very cool and you're how old again I've thirty six. Okay. Yeah. I've a thirty five year olds. But he when he when he bathes himself, he takes a bath. Yes. Okay. That's cool. You're allowed to do that. Yeah I was just I just wondered if it was the thing that like you know because I know other people too that are again around the age that they do the tops and they don't really do shower and it's more comfortable for him. They feel like they get more clean by doing that So I was just curious. I didn't know I the argument for the feel like they get more clean. I don't I wouldn't be convinced by the shirt because you soak in your Jews exactly. Yeah. I like washing away a great just take it away all the gunk on me should go down the drain it should not flow back. Agree agree when your dad is in the tub, how does he wash his hair? don't get down or does he? I think I think he just gets a shampoo and then just just will it with with the shampoo regularly. Shampoos involved like how does he get his head wet and how does he? got like a company dumps the water in the company Okay Yeah, that's how you do when you're giving kids. In the TUB. Very nice well. I prefer to talk about the bathing habits of women but if it's got to be your dad I'm that's fine. It just shows again we're comfortable with each other stuff like. No and your dad could sue the station. That's fine. he doesn't use like Mr, bubbler anything I don't think so I know. About a tub is taking a bath the at least one yet with kids it takes more time. You have to draw the tub you know it it's a little more. You know it's a slower process I think. Yeah you know a shower you you shower I do shower. Yes. Good. Yeah. Do you is again this is we'll be fired before the salaries over in national radio. Listeners right now when you shower. Do use a lot of soap. Yes I do. I do in my bathing for most of my life, I've kind of not complete. Sometimes, I've skipped completely the soap part. Really. Yeah. That's non-judgmental response. Is You know it's funny. Because my what I use the bar. So I enjoy. My wife does not like to use bar. So all she I think should just use like the you know the liquid yes exactly. Exactly. We Yeah. They are very eager for that prompting and promoting. no is something civil probably something socioeconomic I I don't know now here's the deal. Typically. "York to humble and oppressive and ruthless state government what tool of civil disobedience can bring our tyrant to his knees Gandhi and those fighting British oppression in India march some sixty thousand strong to the sea in defiance of their evil overlords they ended up arrested but they ultimately ended up free in crossing a Selma Bridge named for a confederate Ku Klux, Klan wizard men and women were beaten and set upon by dogs but their moral authority and the evil of their oppressors were shown to the world and that world changed just as our world must change. New York suffers needlessly under misguided and overreaching dictates the liberties of its people and the prosperity of its society are stamped upon by a mega maniacal governor we need relief. We need this boot off our back in this man out of our lives we need to be allowed to live as we wish not dangerously with the virus in our midst but intelligently, and reasonably with that virus not exploited by monster as a pretense to dictate capriciously in every part of New York life, we have no conventional options. There is no balance of power in. New York the democratic legislature is the governor's servant and lapdog the state courts are overseen by his minions the federal courts are. Cowed and one one recently ruled against the governor in the matter of two weddings he savagely denounced it and through the resources of the state into overturning it and bankrupting his adversaries with legal fees the press unwilling to let a tiff with a Democrat getting away of their progressive March are silent or seduced good at editing worshipful videoclips but toothless in challenge oversight and there is no recourse to the polls the governor's stranglehold on the all powerful. Democratic. Party means he holds office as long as he chooses. He ruthlessly destroys anyone who challenges him at the ballot box or in the Public Square. Businesses lose licenses in state enforcers. Come auditing cries for mercy are met with further crackdowns. Regulations are issued randomly and capriciously without consultation or consideration with or for those whose lives in businesses will be impacted or destroyed by them, and he is destroying lives and businesses by the thousands bars without music gems without patrons, restaurants with capacity caps, movie theaters forever dark all needlessly imposed or maintained in the name of a disease which he missed managed to a greater degree than any leader on. Earth. When the waitressing profession has gutted and small businesses have to fold orchestras canceled their seasons and historic stages go dark. Those are real lives which are being impacted and destroyed creating economic disadvantages for individuals and families that may linger for decades. When you are restaurant goes bankrupt as the governor's restrictions will cause at least a third of them to do your life's work in savings are lost and your family is impoverished. The same is true for every other business laboring under life choking restrictions in a state where cove it is now at background levels about where it will stay for years and years even after vaccines are approved. He chokes our life-blood not because he has to though because he wants to because he takes some sick pleasure in it because his broken psyche defies him and wraps him in omnipotent robes. So. What do we do? What? Large scale act of civil disobedience can haul off in kick his kingdom right in the crotch how can the all powerful? Cuomo behold what will impede the function of his State or embarrass his wanted reputation to such an extent that our voices can be heard what will bring him to the table and pierced the arrogant disregard? He has for the opinions and interests of his subjects. Whereas the harbor, we throw the tea into who will listen to our dream and see US marched for freedom. What effort of popular will and sovereignty can take the empire state back from the emperor I don't know and I don't know anyone who does but I do know thousands and thousands are thinking and talking about it and we're going to figure it out. We'll find our salt march will cross our Edmund Pettus Bridge. We will make this state free again like I said, that's my column eleven.

I was certainly what I'm here to talk to you about was an experience and I'm more than willing to share you and your son took a trip here the other day please tell us about it ma'am. We did so my son is just graduating from high school, and as you know for graduating seniors, this has been a really trying time, and so I wanted to do something special with just the two of us. And when I saw that there was going to be the public viewing and a chance to pay. Tribute. To. A Great Leader in a credible patriotic American and someone certainly who has made such a difference in all of our lives and that's representative. John Lewis I said you know what? Kiddo we'll make a day trip. And because I'm from the big state of Texas, where in eight hour drive is absolutely nothing We decided to go ahead and do it and we I'm so glad we did I'm exhausted but I am so glad we did now I want to tell you what the environment was like. It was hotter and BC than I've ever seen it. You know and I used to visit these see pretty regularly this was. Amazing and and I'm speaking as a Texan who used to heat but it was air temperature, seven degrees and horrible humidity. So it was a heat index well over one hundred. And so my Drove eight hours then we. Walked. according to my watch a little more than two miles and then we waited in line for another two hours and it was during that time that I got to talk to these extraordinary people. Of course we're all wearing our masks but I am always journalist I don't turn it off. And, I got to talk to extraordinary people who are there with their children and National Public Radio journalist who is right in front of me, and she was there with her eight year old and her eight-year-old went to the line was so long to play with other children they brought a car game and they were sitting there on the steps of the Capitol as we were waiting playing this card game and I looked at those children and they were children of every race and creed. Sitting there waiting to pay tribute to John Lewis. and. That was absolutely the very embodiment of history. You know he in Martin hoped for the sons of former slaves. Miss Sends a former slave owners would sit together the table of brotherhood and there they were. I was watching it happened right before me. I got a beautiful picture of these children all playing together and they become fast friends over this two hour wait in line. To, lower in line, we're all talking and I talked to a man from Virginia. He was late seventies and this was an extraordinary line. To wait in a white gentleman seventies. Waiting in this line and I said, why is it so important for you to be here and he said, where else would I be? which I thought was extraordinary. So we waited in the two airline which surprisingly considering the length of the line moved pretty quickly and they had his body with a row of gorgeous white flowers. And and then to members of the military on either side. And the coffin was flag-draped. It's at the top. Of the steps on the east side of Capitol, and then they had several lines of where you could stay there in front of the Capitol for in front of the casket for some time as you. Soaked in the moment and prayed for him and pay tribute to him. And you know we'd all been talking and and you know just kind of Chatty for the two hours that were in line, and then as you arrived right there in front of the steps on that you side of the Capitol it became hushed. And then this woman who was obviously obviously professionally trained she sounded like she was either a lyric soprano or a Coloratura which is the highest voice part. started singing, swing-low-sweet-chariot. I've just got chills. It was so Beautiful. Into look around in that line and to see people of every race. Color and creed. who had waited two hours in the heat. I thought it was especially poignant for his fraternity brothers to be there. So he was a member of Phi Beta sigma. Their colors are blue and white, and they were all there in their royal blue jackets with the sigma insignia on it full suits and ties. And their jackets in over a hundred degree. Heat. And so I talked to them about why it was so important for them to be there in a suit. And they said we needed to give this man to respect that he's do. And I don't care how hot it is. We are going to put on a suit. To honor congressman, Lewis. And then there were probably about forty or fifty of them and they all join hands and they sing the fraternity chapter him standing right there beneath the casket it was. Amazing to witness. It was amazing. Well. Worth an eight hour drive. It's usually about a seven hour drive but as most of New Yorkers, no highway eighty, one can be a bear and so we sat there for about an hour and a half. So it took a bit longer to get there. He hung up yeah I I love cooking brisket. It's so much fun, but there's a there's a failure to once in awhile. Overcook it and dry it out. Especially the thinner part you, the more you experiment with the more I have, these I would love one of those meters, and when you're done using years. If you wanted to give me years, that would be great so I don't have to spend a hundred bucks. But if you and I have temperature thermometers that you plug into the end of it, and you can tell what the temperature is internally during the whole process, and that's the key. Jamaican yourself decent brisket. So speaking of hanging up and not hanging up. We've got a listeners on the loose. Following this final break, right? My Gosh were there. "What you drive away from your body as you ever. More focus on the pollutant You have put into. It is good health right you you as as the pollutant in your body occupies evermore Of Your time and and and who? You are physically than vitality and fitness. And you know the appropriate function of our Oregon Systems. And all that other stuff. There's less for room for that I think it's easy to see those things if we're talking about some substance but I and it's good that it's easy to understand that because I would like to suggest that you take that same kind of concept and you apply to non physical things that we could put into our body say Anger if anger is something we allow to pollute who we are That anger like most pollutants will grow We will If find ourselves you know with an escalating amount it'll be like one of those corona virus graphs from back win right And the anger will become evermore defining who we are and it will push out the other sweeter Pure better more useful Emotions and approaches. So that the natural compassion kindness and decency that are in. Most people will be pushed out the door incrementally by the ever rising power of of of anger that pollutant in our lives. What about pornography? And you know not to come off like The pastor from when you were a teenager but a pornography is something that you know this day and age and the last generation or so if pretty broadly embraced is a pollutant to our mind. Our our spirit to our a social attitudes and expectations and like other pollutants to our body. AH soul or mind it It tends to metastasis it You use a little bit and then you want to use a little bit more and ultimately it can become a priority all pollutants are potentially addictive. Meaning that something kicks in either of the mind or body which creates a a gnawing dependence upon that pollutant than that. Obviously as we mentioned is true of alcohol drugs you can also be true of of the the bad attitudes and emotional responses like anger it also that can be true of some of these pollutants we put into our our our mind and soul again like pornography there is undeniably addiction which can kick in and they're also in that pushing out of what is wholesome and good he. We can lose our understanding and even our Ability to Form Real relationships and find real satisfaction or happiness In the real world What a horrible damage that would be to a person or to American family There also are a pollutants of of of attitudes and even philosophies falsehood Typically is not very appealing But you know you can apparently Rapa Turda pretty enough bow and make it sell. And there are philosophies in attitudes abroad in the world and some of them do relate to things like politics or economic systems and these Pollutants of the mind and a society have the same effect as the other pollutants. We have discussed they Sink their roots into US and they tend to task the size and they tend to take us over they attend tend to become bigger batter and As they grow that's true of all pollutants to include some of these economic or political or or social ideas that are out about And being aware of this phenomenon and it just as you can become addicted to a substance or to a thought pattern or to behavior you can become. I believe functionally addicted to your relationship with even a political idea or a socioeconomic I idea and they Can leave the bounds of rational engagement and become something of a. I don't know passionate Kind of over the top Sorta deal How do we Avoid a pollutants. How do we handle them? The best way to avoid Pollutants and the addictive processes associated with them is to never try them or take them up in the first place the only time you can be confident of a escaping an addiction of any sort behavioral or attitudinal or chemical or physical is to never do that thing or use that substance to which you might potentially become addicted and how to do that or how to step out of the swamp into which we have stepped. Think you hold up a simple standard. Does this bring me closer to God? Does this bring me closer to my family? Does this bring me closer to the people around me? There's this make me want to do good or just make me want to do. Evil is this of light or is it of darkness and be honest in your assessment and that which is good and light go in that direction and that which is a dark and bad. Don't go in that direction and be aware of the lure and temptation. That may attach to that. Let's not pollute ourselves. We had a listener of the Bob and Sheri Show who owned a furniture company. And he said Bob and Sheri I want I like you so much. I want you to be so comfortable every morning in your Bob and Sheri Studio that I want you to have these chairs and they gave this is like fifteen years ago. They gave us these great chairs and I have the same chair that I sit in except the back started to go back too far and I couldn't figure it out and I want to thank todd for this morning. He came in and he adjusted the back of my chair and now is just perfect. Thank thank you todd. Now here is something. I don't WanNa thank you for last night. I was sitting outside at an outside restaurant with my wife. catty-cornered looking looking at you and you ignoring me completely completely ignored me. No this is. This is what happened Mary. We went to get a nice time. I I'm looking at the guy I just want the floor. Don't say anything. I want the audience on my side. Completely it so. I'm sitting there waiting for the pizza. You can sit outside and they bring you pizza. Mary's inside getting some some wine. I'm having a beer. I look over for in the table. catty-cornered there's like twelve th the picnic benches I go that looks just like todd except he's got an unrecognizable trucker hat that I've never I seen before. He's got big time sunglasses on and by the way it was it was getting kind of dark outside. He's got a t shirt that I did not recognize and and the woman that he's with has her back to me and I'm looking at the guy and I'm Bob Right. I don't have a hat on. I don't have any disguise on and I'm going he he can see me so that that can't be taught and then Mary comes walking along she goes. Hi Todd Go. Hi Hi hi Bob. What was what's up with that? What was that okay? You tied in the code of safety so that he can speak him staring at you trying to do I contact addict put. It didn't look like you all right step in time on Conan evens coat of safety is not what help. Here's is the deal Bob. You're out to dinner with your wife having a cocktail. A longtime umbreit like to say hello. Bob Yes and we did. We came over said hello but story uncomfortable hearing at you like you're like an undercover CIA. Guy I and I'm starting to feel creepy if that's not you and I'm staring at you. It's like who is this. I didn't want to interfere with your night out because I know how important it is that you just want to be left alone to eat your pizza drink your cocktail and spend time with your wife and so I didn't want to buy why is the res- you're looking for a bottle of wine. I was alone own at the table. Now here's the thing I was wearing a t shirt that had the high school that my children have been attending for the last eight years which I have repeatedly said over and over and over the name of the school yes do you believe him. No I and I was wearing a hat. It abused begins with an S.. Right no it was a p the word school begins with an SDS. You could have credit so anyway but no. I didn't think you wanted to be disturbed hurt so and we were gonNA come by as we wrap up because we were getting ready to wrap up well. It was so awkward. 'cause I'm staring at you and it looks chosen since you're in Kony safety Is it not true that you would prefer when you're out with your wife to not be bothered and to just be impeached with you. That would close friends that with people that I work with every day but sign out. I haven't seen JEN and a why I know but we didn't want to interfere. We knew you guys were out for a night you know because then you guys have that awkward then we have that awkward weird moment where you feel like you have to invite us to sit down to talk to you guys which we really knew you didn't want to. We were headed somewhere else where they had cheaper y Now Todd I'm feeling since we're in the code of safety now you have to be very honest was part of your decision to behave this way because you don't want him to do to that restaurant what what he did to about Schmidt Exactly okay or or the or the fact that there was a tap room in wine bar there too. I don't want any I don't want any bad. You can't talk bad about. Oh Great God of safety. So don't be defensive. Also this place. 'CAUSE I go there too. It's right near the dance studio so I'll be there. You'll see me there a a lot to. You'll say hello to her. Oh my God yeah I'll pull up a chair There's a concern that the pizza will not be to your liking. And Todd doesn't want to hear that and I can tell by your face that the pizza was not to your like it was good. Okay what kind of cases did you get suspicious Queenie anything. I got the Just the traditional cheese Pizza Margherita not the Margarita the one with tomato sauce as soon as I said your pulse. This is not to your liking. I could no. I liked it. I'm senior thing I've never dated never dated a minute. I've never dated a matt or a Kyle but I've every woman that has dated a kyle has had her heartbroken by. Is that right. That other woman talking about that Here's another woman. I have slept with enough guys named Matt to populate a small town in Ohio and and and it goes on and on. There's there's like fifty. There's too many guys name mad at this whole foods food. So what do you think this is is this thing I've ever heard of this before. And I mean there are every one of these posts is getting re tweeted like hundreds of times You know because I've missed dating a Mat- I've only worked with mats and I have worked with now that we're having this conversation so many matt serve you. Yeah so you're looking in restaurants ONS. TV What you've never dated one. That's that's what these women dated Matt. Well you relate now and I don't want to sit sir say that I was anti dating because I don't want to hurt the feelings of any of the mats that I know what you would be anti Kyle if you're out there kyle. Kyle is very very appealing. But I've learned from other women Kyle is a dangerous concept. Anything could happen with Kyle. Yeah it's an exciting exciting name.
