"It's not just the Monday show. It's the Halloween special. I mean, Kelly and Ryan dress up. I mean, The Today Show dresses up. You and I dressing up. I mean, you look fabulous. Who are you wearing? Who are you? You look like Buffalo Bill today from sucker to the legends. I'm just wearing a T-shirt and I'm in my closet, but I am on TV in a little bit, but I'm not in studio. I'm zooming in, so I thought about it Garrett, is it too much if I zoom in in full Halloween drag? Or what do you think? Tis the season. I mean, it's like doing an interview on Christmas and not wearing a Christmas sweater. And you know what I mean? It's quite a serious topic though, too. I'm talking about Kanye West and I don't want to look like little Bo PEEP and talk about that would be perfect. You dressed up as bob talking about Kanye and the craziness that is his life would just, I mean, that sums up Kanye. It's crazy. It's crazy. I'll let you know tomorrow if I do it. Hey, let's jump into the show. What time is it, my Friends? It is. T times the big story at the top of the show over the weekend, gisele and Tom Brady finalized their divorce and I fans think that she is shading him in the announcement so eagle eyed social media users you know who you are. Notice that the supermodel had a very specific word choice in her statement and what is making them think that something's going on here is all the rumors that Tom chose football over their marriage. She said the following. My priority has always been and will continue to be our children. That's the very first thing she said. He put out a statement slightly different from hers and that people think that there is some sort of dis, some sort of shade here. What I did find interesting is in my experience, and I did this for a long time as a publicist. I did the breakup of J.Lo and Ben, their first breakup, let's hope there's not another, and I did the Nick and Jessica. What happens in my experience is that both celebrities put out exactly the same statement at exactly the same time. It's all coordinated. They didn't do that. They both had their own statement, she led with the children. What do you think? Oh, a 100%. I mean, this goes back to march. So when Tom Brady announced his retirement, everyone thought, okay, they're going off into the sunset. See you later.

"True, but why do they sit on the head? I don't really understand this. So either that or you feel like you're having, you know, the word nightmare goes back to not a horse that's a mayor, but the sort of evil spirit called a mayor that was said to come and sit on your chest and almost make you feel like you were suffocating. That was the nightmare. And that's how Bo my cat makes me feel if she sits on my chest just like I wake up and I can't breathe. Your gadgets called bow not as Beau brummell no, but as in Bo PEEP. She's a she, and yes, we didn't give her the name Bo PEEP, and it seemed quite sweet because my kids were a lot younger when we got it from battersea about to see is a cat and dog rescue center, which has been going for many, many years, brilliant in London. They have lots of stations elsewhere in Britain as well. And we got her from there when she was a tiny kitten and they called her Bo PEEP because she was the scared the real scaredy cat so she was just very, very shy and would PEEP out from under a chair to see whether it was safe to come out so they called her bow peeps. So we've kept her, we don't ever call her PEEP, which is called her both. I wonder what the origin of Bo PEEP is. I mean, it's a nursery rhyme character, isn't it? It is, yes. I don't quite know why she was called Bozo. Little baby. Maybe it's to do with boo, saying boo. Yes, maybe. Does your cat have a breed? She's a muggy. She's an absolute moggie and a small, I think they just said small domestic breed. She's got the most beautiful eyes. I have to say, I would love to have Beau's eyes. They're just absolutely gorgeous. And we'll get on to the etymology of moggy later actually, but I should just say, there's very interesting when you look at dog breeds, there's always a story to them. So we've talked about them before that the poodle goes back to the German puddle Honda, a splash hound because they love water, a terrier loves digging up the earth and it goes back to terror, meaning earth in Latin and tear in French. So quite often dog breeze have really lovely etymologies, cats not so much, unfortunately, they tend to be named mostly after places that Bengal, the abyssinian, the Persian, the Siamese, et cetera so we thought we wouldn't focus on those today because most of them are, as I say, fairly self explanatory. Though, I have to tell you, I'm sorry I'm not focused on because I've done a lot of research. And what I'll share with you, what I will share with you and me, we'll come back to this another day, is I have a son in law who is a vet. Oh, yes. And I said to him, what are the most popular breeds of cat in the UK? And he said he reckoned the most popular breeds in the UK probably first, the British short hair, then the Bengal, but you've not then the Siamese, and then in fourth place, the main coon, which is what our cat narus is a maintenance. Okay. Then person, then a kind of breed that I hadn't really heard of called a rag doll. Yes, fractal. You have a ragdoll one as well. The ragdolls, I think were so named because they're incredibly docile, so they have an unusually docile temperament to say they are just a dull that just sort of hangs there in your arms. So I think that's where it comes from. Originally, not recorded until 1970s of ragdoll. Well, take us into the world of cats, where are we going to begin? Where do you want to begin?

"We cut to a close up of woody. His arms completely outstretched as he comes up and then just descends and softly falls onto the bed. And that close up. That moment of ecstasy of transcendent joy because he's being played with. Not just loved, but he's being he's being used in the way that we touched on this kind of in our review of Toy Story four, used in the way he was created to be used. Is so rewarding for him feels so good for him that it becomes magical for us to watch his viewers as well. And I think it's especially true when you understand that he is in this moment being played with much at home, Andy has kind of forsaken him and he just left his friends at sunnyside with that expectation that they were going to live this kind of life now every day. And in this moment, you can't even get the sense that woody had maybe even forgotten what that feeling was like, and it all comes rushing back to him in that close up. And it's all conveyed in the filmmaking and the animation, the music, the slo-mo, the composition, even the cut as it would be in any movie, but also there's this interesting dynamic at work. Throughout this series, I think, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it when your character as a filmmaker when your characters your actors, if you will, can't actually express themselves, right? Because in this moment, I'm glad you brought this up. You can't actually react. So I did pick the scene partly because of how fascinating I found it and found it throughout the whole series. Every time we cut to a close up of a toy that's being held by a person or is in the presence of a human, they of course don't move. Because of the rules, they have that perma smile on their face. And yet somehow we know in every moment exactly what they're feeling. And I think it's because of those visual elements that I mentioned, but also because of our attachment to these characters and how wonderfully developed they are in our understanding of them. And there's an example in Toy Story four when there's multiple examples, but when woody reunites with Bo PEEP. I'm glad you brought this up. Yeah. I was gonna bring this. He's being played with. They are being played within that moment so they can't express their feelings in that moment and there's that delay that withholding of emotion by design clearly gives it a greater impact when they finally can show their feelings when the kids put them down. I think that was a wonderful scene and there's another good one in Toy Story three when complete opposite spectrum here when the little kids first come in from recess and the gang discovers what life in Sunnyvale is really going to be like. All of the cuts to the toys and they're unchanging faces as they're being beaten against a wall and they're being thrown on the ground just being tormented. It just amplifies the humor that we know the pain that they're feeling and the anger that they're suppressing, but they can't express it in the moment. I actually think bordwell should probably be using a scene from Toy Story. Any of the Toy Story movies in film art to explain the cool shop effect, right? Because as I was about to say thank you. That's what it is, right? I was going to say, it's a perfect example of the Coolidge effect because you're projecting on projects what you know they must be feeling even though they are pointedly purposefully not expressing anything. That's it. The filmmakers. And I just find that I find that whole dynamic that the Pixar filmmakers clearly are having fun playing with to be brilliant. And again, this scene for me, when you take it down to its core, these Toy Story films are all about these toys constantly seeking that joy, that elation of being played with joyously by these kids, that the line actually that I think of is the one that happens in Toy Story two. The Jesse says, even though you're not moving, you feel like you're alive because that's how he sees you. That's how your kid sees you. And in that moment, that joy of Andy being tossed up into the air, it just really, really hit me on this rewatch of Toy Story three. Yeah, and it's a nice mirroring of the opening of Toy Story one of the you got a friend in me sequence. You know, it's the first time he's felt something like that in a long time. And even what you were saying, the sunny view sort of torture sequence is a mirroring of the Sid sequence. Are all the subsequences where he's torturing them. It's kind of fascinating that their worst moments and their best moments usually happen when they're in these sort of statue states. At the moment, because in Toy Story four, what he has looking for Beau, knowing that she must be close by for about 5 or ten minutes before they finally meet and the moment when they meet and you realize they're meeting in that statue state. Yes. Because kids are looking at them. They can't express it. It actually took my breath away. And it almost made my list. Well, I'm glad that we are in lockstep on that choice. I'd love to hear your number four Toy Story scene. So this is my scene from Ford that just very, very narrowly edged out woody and Bo re meeting. It is the moment that you spoke of in our proper review. It's the moment with the lamps in the antique store. A lot of this movie is the toys are always so low to the ground. I feel like it's a trick that Pixar uses a lot where they cut out to a wide shot and you're reminded again of how small they are and how huge they're surroundings are. The Toy Story four a lot because of Bo and the way she sort of rewritten the rules of her life, they keep on moving to higher ground. Getting birds eye view of things or getting just broader and more expansive views of things. And as we said, woody is always this character that's about survival or about rescue or about self preservation or whatever it is. There's always some immediate goal that is very high stakes. And there's this moment when they're both sort of on step 7 out of 12 in their multi part rescue forky mission. When Bo stops and points out that this is the time of the day where all the lamps go on in the antique store. And it's the sort of beautiful stained glass menagerie of all these different floating colors around. And the movie just stops. In my memory, there's not even really music over it. You're just watching woody and Bo absorb this thing. And it feels like the first moment in all four films when woody is really just taking the time to stop and appreciate something. You know, because even these moments of pure bliss when he's being played with as a toy, he's on the job, so to speak. Yeah. You know? This is solely something he's doing just for himself, and something he had never considered. And this is the moment for me that really sells the argument why I think Josh is wrong that the ending for this film is totally earned because I think this is a moment that opens up what he's mine to what kind of life he could be living in which he's been living a life where he has been robbing himself of moments like this, not giving himself.

"The following program is a repeat of an earlier broadcast. Hi, I'm Hal Abrams co host of animal radio, and today's show originally aired 11 years ago on Christmas 2010. We all hope you love this holiday special. And best wishes from all of us here at animal radio. Celebrating our connection with our pets. This is animal radio. Here are your hosts. Now Abrams and Judy Francis. Christmas. We're all here. It's total free. We're opening our gifts right now as we do the show, and we actually have great stories coming up today. Some warm heart warming Christmas stories as we do every year. And Laurie, what are you working on in the newsroom over there? Did you buy a gift for your pet for Christmas? And what people are weird? They're the only ones that got gifts this year. Well, you're not weird and you're not alone. I have a story about that. Plus, what kind of gift do you get for a guy who marries his dog? A story about a guy in a straight jacket. Yeah. Yeah. A year's worth of therapy, I'm thinking, but and I've got a great story about a guy who actually married his dog. That sounds a little strange. I'm gonna stick around just for that. As I said enjoying a cup of tea one morning before work. My children brought a catalog to show me what they had found. They pointed at a picture of a T-shirt. They said it reminded them of me. Flattered, they were thinking of me, I looked at the picture. Then I frowned on the front of the shirt in large bold print where the words I yell because I care. But I don't yell at you. I said softly. This brought laughter and rolling eyes from my precious offspring. Oh yeah, mom, you sure do, said my oldest daughter. The second child chimed in with all the time. The youngest put his hands over his ears in mock fright and spun around in a circle until he collapsed on the floor giggling and dizzy. No, no, I protested quietly. How could they possibly think I yelled at them? I was a good mother. I listened and helped when I could. I was always there for them, lending support and love. But a mom that yelled? We can prove it said the oldest. Every time you raise your voice, Bo PEEP goes nuts. I eyed my little blue and white parakeet with suspicion. Bo PEEP sat calmly on her perch, watching us. She was waiting for someone to notice her and perhaps come over for a talk in a little playtime. She thrived on the attention that four children could give. Okay, I'll prove it. I challenged them. Let me think of something to say loudly and then we'll see. I'd like to say that it took me some time to come up with an appropriate phrase to yell. But in all honesty, one just popped right into my mind. I cleared my throat daintily. And then saying out, you kids her react or you'll be late for school. Before I finish speaking, Bo PEEP was flapping around inside her cage, hopping from perch to purge, screeching. She certainly gave us her two cents worth. We all received a thorough scolding from the tiniest member of our household. It was a very humble mother who apologized then. The kids were right. I was wrong. I now realize the truth. I was a mom who yelled after all. A few minutes later, the children were still laughing as they made their way out the door and on to school. I took another sip of hot tea then turned and shook a finger at my feathered friend. Miss PEEP, I began only to be interrupted. Bo PEEP puffed out her cheek feathers and said earnestly. You are so pretty, pretty pretty. Well, I could hardly argue with such an honest friend, could I? It had to be true. After all, a little bird told me so. I scared that person. We're giving you all our best animal stories. And this next one comes to you from ASPCA. President, Ed shares. I did receive a new supplement to the book of genesis, regarding the dog and the cat. Yeah, so newly discovered chapter in the book of genesis has provided the answer to the question where do pets come from? Adam and Eve said lord, when we were in the garden, you walked with us every day. Now we do not see you anymore. We are lonesome here, and it is difficult for us to remember how much you love us. And God said, that is no problem. I will create for you a companion that will be with you forever and that will be a reflection of my love for you so that you will love me even when you can not see me. Regardless of how selfish or childish or unlovable you may be, this new companion will accept you as you are and will love you as I do in spite of yourself. And God created a new animal to be the companion for Adam and Eve. And it was a good animal and God was pleased, and the new animal was pleased to be with Adam and Eve and he wagged his tail. And Adam said lord, I have already named all the animals in the kingdom. I can not think of a name. For this new animal, and God said that is no problem because I have created this new animal to be a reflection of my love for you. And his name will be a reflection of my own name..

"Listen to to omnibuses every sunday. Which wall saying to duct to us. This is an extremely normal day and not sabbath. They just say that repeatedly montera store should be open but also most religion is not falsifiable. And you can. If you're a non believer you you assume. That's by design right that you asking me. As a non believer would not falsifiable. What do you mean. y-. There's no experiment i can perform to god. I see i see what you mean. Yeah that's right. And that's what keeps religion going in an increasingly scientific and taught objective age. Is this it morphs into something. Because you know that would not have been true. The greeks who were like oh yeah. That volcano erupted because the monster. Typhon kidnapper down there. And they're they're getting it on in a really weird position. And that's why there's right gradually you. Could debunk that right stuff gets debunked but you cannot prove that bo peep did not follow the help comet to awaiting spaceship that was waiting by the moon i visit his physical body did not right but but our physical bodies are just chamara right in often that happens as well retroactively. You take on a spiritual You ascribe a spiritual interpretation to the prophecy. Even though the world didn't end. I think there is a in the jehovah's witness movement. I think there's some of that they came. Out of a nineteenth century apocalyptic movement. And i think their solution was actually. The world did end by but in a spiritual sense. Time is a flat circle. And there's going to be some of that in our stories because there's not a lot of options for the religious for the person of faith when Don't seem to happen right like in my own in my own tradition. I feel like it early. Twentieth century mormons were convinced that archaeologists in the jungles of mesoamerica would eventually find christian. Churches would find book of mormon type christianity. Right and it didn't happen. Spoilers that also do and you know to to to a modern latter-day settling looking back seems crazy. What would be the point of a religious movement if if suddenly there are everyone were joined shirley if if there were but i've seen i've seen a murals in the mormon bookstores in in utah. I mean that's still is part of the cosmology. Oh sure i didn't. The book of mormon is still essential. Mormons but i think now the assumption is but you know god has arranged much everything else in his universe right. He is arranged so that there are no outward proves or disproves his presence. Yes that's god's ultimate trick and that's that's true of every religious tradition is like he's concealed in yawn. Heavens but the mormons have to say and also there are some mezro. American ruins equally concealed goofing on them. Please do not ask for like kanda. He's got a. He's got a bubble around it that's excellent. Yes it is back to your temple. Hey guys genres. He says it's like what conduct the love that. I'm sure right on time. So we live in an era of kind of fluffy unfalsifiable religion. Where god is love. And what can you. What can you do about that. Be here now. But that's a new addition to religion and some of these religious americans of the forties and fifties nice eisenhower era doctors and housewives and plant managers wanted to connect this to presbyterian ism. They wanted it all to be together. They wanted jesus and they wanted the saucer man and they wanted atlantis and astral energies. All this kind of nineteenth century spiritualism and diaz affi. And i can talk to my dead mother and this is america postwar america. You should get it all not just commercially. But also philosophic it's one hundred percent true today. It's just now. People are trying to combine buddhism and sure and ancient religion and photos and and also capitalism like hustle hustle capitalism and. It's all the same thing no sir. It is buddhism is not the same as your self. Help book your business. I mean you honestly could not convince my sister that all of this isn't related and equally sort of true and also that it debunks. Christianity debunks the other narrow minded philosophies but also it has everything that people like about them yes end and it has it has trans substantiation but but a different style. "Are a lot black so right now we have gold so we're blocked out for two weeks for spring break two weeks for christmas. It's really not a problem at all. The other thing that makes me more confident that they be won't do as many buck out. Is that universal has like almost none. You basically have to go one tier to get no blackout dates in universal again. Talk about universal. A little later they do a lot of things their own way. Yeah they planned by their own rules. Good ole universal so if nothing else changed right now hannah which one do you think you would lean towards. I honestly have no idea. I need to like sit down and really look at them. Because i i do feel like they are going to change. So we'll see it'll be interesting to see. How do they know with disneyland. People of course everybody starting from scratch so the moment you buy. Start making your park reservations. How do you do that. With disneyworld where some annual passengers might have way far out. And so that'll be interesting. Be like weird in staggered okay. So next are the fab fifty studies so these are all being put up. And i i thought it was just magic kingdom but now it seems like they're putting them in all of the different parks to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of walt disneyworld. So some new ones that we got announced over the past couple of weeks got the mad hatter to mona pemba. Donald duck. Woody and bo peep. Which i i wish it was woody and buzz. You maybe they're gonna do like a buzz and jessie or something. Maybe i would hope so. Cogs worth lumiere dante from cocoa winnie the pooh and piglet. Joe gardner from seoul. Which is a very interesting choice. Wow wonder if what an honor the cheshire cat and and then the normal like the fab. Five definitely in there so it's interesting. They seem like they're getting very close to putting them up. I saw a picture where they had cleared some dirt for one in epcot. So i would guess in the next month really fancy dugout some grass doug hole. And they're gonna put up but you know they're going to stay up for at least eighteen months and then i wonder what what will happen with them after that you know. Could they stay permanent or taking an end up with john stamos backyard. I would say bellwood them put. Don't think he's in a new position of by anything right now now..

He wants us to go without us. Realizing that making us think that we have free will but it ultimately just being an illusion and this is the story of the beast of shiva don. That was a great. Who was that. Oh bela lugosi. Just walk through my basement and Put a little Sleeping stuff on a napkin. Put it in my face. I woke up and down. Recording was a jeff bridges. And you're sandra bullock. What have you ever seen the vanishing was she in that. I saw the original version. I didn't see the they were both very good on their own on their own for sure. One of those rare ones where the adaptation is as good as the original four. Oh yeah halloween. In august july g. Yeah it'll be on july think but yes absolutely we are talking about a horror show horror movie horseshoe and eight in the fact that happened in the eighteenth century makes it even crappier totally in exactly the same way that the legend of sleepy hollow is still creepy and scary to this day because it takes place in eighteenth century upstate new york. This is creepy also in the exact same way right seventeen sixty s We're talking about the south of france but not like you know the lovely seaside the south of france. This sounds like it's a little bit more of a small town of jeb. Buddha and there is some a lot of killing going on and no one knows what to do in the killing but they know it's terrible bodies are ripta shreds. Yeah heads are missing. Throats are ripped out and i think about one hundred people give or take because you know this is also legend. Were killed but it really did happen and people were freaked out and we're like there's a monster in these are woods. yeah Yeah they were understandably freaked out because those deaths were really really grisly in gruesome. And i mean if this is a fairly sparsely populated area fuse. One hundred people over three years and some of them are having a heads pulled off in their entailed. Pulled out like this cause a stir. It definitely isn't it. definitely did. And they they documented the first death in. I believe june of seventeen sixty four and it was a fourteen year. Old girl named Jean boulet and she was just basically being like little bo peep tending to her livestock or families livestock out in the hills and she was attacked in torn apart and she was the first fatality but apparently she was the second victim and just a little before that another Young sheepherder was tending to their flock and was attacked but they're sheep. Banded together in chased off this beast of geneva. Dan and save their life. That's right and so more attacks or following Dozens of people are dying. There's some women mostly kids a few loan dudes here and there and You know described as a dog like or wolf like creature as big as a horse though. And you know they really. This was the time as a seventeen sixties. That they're talking real monsters here. They're not saying like you know it was probably a wolf. They're saying that it was some beast that they've really never witnessed before. Yeah i mean th there is pretty decent amount of superstition among the people. Who live there. I would guess too but then also again the fact that people are being torn to shreds. And it's so happening so frequently in their children are being killed. Two like you can kind of understand how they would attribute this to a monster pretty much out of the gate. That's right But we're gonna take a break. We almost certainly know what this piece was now. And we're gonna take a break in..

Is toy story for good and more importantly did it needs to happen. So let's let's talk about this today. Toy story for there was directed by josh cooley and it came out pretty recently a couple of years ago in twenty nineteen it stars. Tom hanks as woody. Tim allen as buzz light year tony hale as forty which will talk about a lot later. Annie potts as bo peep and as you know there. They're actually so many toys and along with people but there's so many toys and this movie and there's so many surprising cameos that it's just impossible to list everyone But i i will say this If you listen closely watching this film you can hear key and peele which should be easier to pick out. but there's also kiana reeves. I i found this on the the cast list. I had no idea that this character was voiced by keanu reeves. But see if you can listen for that when you watch this movie but yeah let's get into this so toy story. Four is a pretty controversial movie. Or at least i think so so when i first heard the news about it. I was so reluctant to watch the movie. I was so late. I was against it and i was a little bit annoyed when it was first when it was first announced. And here's why as i've said i think i've said this maybe once before once or twice on the show. I am a huge story. Three fan So when i ranked my pixar movies. I actually put toy story three above all of them. Because i think it's the perfect or at the time. I thought it was the perfect and to the trilogy said at the time i still do. I still think it's like a really great and to the trilogy. That is twice story. The finale of this series is tomorrow at 2 10, the Reds, then head to the West Coast, where they begin a four game series against the San Diego Padres on Thursday night. This is the Hall of Fame highlight with Rex historian Greg Roads. There's nothing quite as pleasing to the eye is walking into Great American ballpark and seen That lush green grass of the baseball field. As you can imagine the fields very well cared for the grounds crew working on a daily trimming, watering, fertilizing, but imagine for a minute the fields in baseball's early years. The game has been around a lot longer than power mowers or sophisticated watering systems. How did they manage those fields in the 18 hundreds? Well in 18 69, the old Cincinnati red stockings played on fields that I don't think God any care. In Syracuse, New York, They arrived to find an outfield covered in knee high grass. Some of the in fields they played on. Had no grass at all. They were completely skin in fields. But if you were trying to keep your field trimmed, how did they do that? Well, here's a clue from the Cincinnati newspapers of July 18 94 seems the head groundskeeper was on the lookout for a few sheep that disappeared from the Reds ballpark. The sheep were kept around to help keep the grass from getting too long and grounds keeper Matty Schwab like Little Bo Peep had lost his sheep. They were finally discovered a couple days later across town and presumably put back to work trimming the lawn. Well, for the rest of you, groundskeepers. I'm pleased to report there's no grass to cut at the.

"I mean he finished in the end only seven seconds behind characters and you know, the equipment choice Is we're interesting. Tom Dumoulin put in a a good enough performance to suggest that he is returning to the sport. Quite strongly genome a, there was an amazing performer on the day and then followed up with a stage. When the next day. I mean, you know, he he was our diarist at the Giro wasn't a for as long as he was in the race. And and really seems to be emerging as quite a talent. Bought a young G, no mater. Yeah, no. Not just a flourishing fledgling talent, but someone who will have to be reckoned with in the biggest races as of now What about Iran Daniel? I mean, you know, he's always kind of perennial Contender and I didn't see that coming from him but it was a such an eye-catching performance and he is a good thoughts and this is a third of France. With as you said more time, traveling in it, is he is he a dark horse, I think he's a dark horse to win the race and we saw we saw some of his limitations on the final stage when he took the crack carapace bravely, gamely on the guitar Parson and put in a couple of good attacks, but couldn't crack him. And of course the best performance of around Korea. Came in that 2015, Toyota France, where well, he spent three weeks at new last two weeks really hanging on very bravely, but grimly to the coattails of Chris Pratt room and the writers who were ahead of him in general classification. He eventually finished second in that Tour de France. But I, I mean, I don't see him as a wage. And that's when the tour, but it's interesting. We've we occasionally see these flurries of good performances or in single time, trials. We see Riders from one particular team to over perform. That was the case, the definitely that's tonna on the the day of the time, trial, with Cinco. And Ian is a year off. And and there again, I mean, I spoke to Jack Haig the following day, the bar in Victorious Rider. And he said, I don't know what information, he had on this. I don't, whether it came from conversations in the Peloton, but he said lost on. Have been doing loads of work, recently, on R&D and equipment in, in time. Mm, yeah. I've had a good few weeks as far as time. Trials are concerned, you know, a lot was made of the sort of Little Bo Peep time trial helmet, that bittiger war two, which race was that rich? That was pretty nice. We have any Pioneer run, didn't wear that did home. No, that I can recall. No I think I would I would have noticed Jonathan vaughters the team manager of the F Education. Summer Movie Preview
"The movies of summer twenty nineteen. What is out there? What's going to happen? And I've got to start by saying you think maybe that summer begins on your calendar near the end of June. But not in Hollywood everything in Hollywood begins early because summer is when they make all the money that they can make all year. So officially April twenty six it's the beginning of summer because the movie that opens on that day is called a ventures endgame. This is three hours long. Nobody's gonna care. I predict that not only will this be the biggest box office hit of the summer, but it will be the biggest box office hit of the year. You remember what happened last time all the ventures or at least half of them seem to turn to dust than die mean? Now have those ventures that are left to signing if they can beat the evil fan. He so evil will the adventures be wiped out forever. Look how much money did these movies make I'm saying why would you basically kill the golden goose? This is going to continue in some way, we all know it. So what else is out there? I'm looking at my list. There's a major thing going on now of in terms of taking the Disney slash Pixar animated classics and turning them into live action movies. So we have The Lion King line king. One of the most successful Disney animated movies ever is now being done as a live action movie. You have Donald Glover being Simba. You have James Earl Jones actually being this father and the same scores. They're the same using. And it's directed by John Fabbro who did such a great job with the jungle book doing the same thing that I think we can all feel optimistic about what's going to happen. And then we have Aladdin when we remember the. Animated movie who do we remember the most? We remember Robin Williams doing the voice of the genie. This time doing the voice of the genie and being the genie. We have Will Smith. So big stars in this big kind of thing, they tried it with Dumbo earlier this year, and that didn't quite work the way they wanted to do. But we're talking about lying king and the Ladan so big deal. Now, what terms of old fashioned animation is out there. I don't know if you're like me. But there's a Toy Story four toy stories always been my favorite of those Pixar. There's something about Woody and buzz light year, and you're probably saying to yourself. Well, and Toy Story three didn't it happen. That would he said goodbye, Andy. And he went to college, and it was all over remember. There was little Bonnie Andy gave his toys too. So we're going to have little Bo peep comeback. I think when you look at what goes on in Toy Story, you have that kind of feeling of goodness of field. Goodness, but done with all the magic of Pixar. So if those adventures out there are going to have a run for their box office money. I would say Toy Story. Four is going to be the one that does it. So what else we now have men in black men in black international? You're not gonna see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones anymore. But this time you have Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson. As new agents who are out there in this men in black universe. Sometimes you say to yourself do I want more of that? And you never know to actually see it. And I can only tell because I haven't seen this movie yet. But it looks like there's chemistry there. Then we have Spiderman far from home. You know, the Spiderman franchise never seems to end either. But we have Tom Holland who played him last time charmingly, I think, but now spider man, Peter Parker. They're taking a European vacation and the villain that they run up against is mysterious. Played by Jake Jilin. All I just think they're still some special sauce in the Spiderman universe, and I expect this one to also be a major hit. Godzilla Godzilla king of the monsters. I see that. And I go how much can they work this poor God's, but you can look at the trailer and see it. I like the idea that aside from viewer for Megan who is in it, Billy Bobby Brown from stranger things is in its she the dynamo. So if God Zillah can basically meet his match betting on little Millie to do something with that Hobbes and Shaw, this is fast and the furious you remember the rock of playing the the law man, and Jason stefon playing the outcast and the rebel these guys. I don't know if this is Hollywood kind of thing, but they tell us that Jason stadium and the rocked wing Johnson. Don't really like each other. And maybe that what the reason we love these characters and show so much because we liked that conflict. I don't know it seems a PR stunt to me, but I'm going to be there because this cars. There's the rock and their Stefa. So you're going to be there to and you know, it, oh and the big deal. Now, everybody has just in the midst of welcoming game of thrones back to their lives. The last season of that. You can't bear to live in a world where you can't see the stark sisters anymore. Well, now, you can dark Phoenix, which is part of the X men universe. Bring Sophie Turner, and she's Jean grey this character that we've seen before. But she's this younger version of her and she split between the good side of her and the dark Phoenix side of her. And to me, these girls are tremendously talented in what they do on game of thrones. And I think we're going to keep seeing them through the years, but her sister her at least game of thrones sister, maisy Williams is in new mutants part of that universe too. But in this case, they're all new characters to do this. They're all gonna be in the X men universe. Doing it. So that's it for the blockbusters that are out there. You've got everything from animation to comic book characters to everything. And that's the stuff that you hear about that your friends are going to talk to you about. But there's gotta be other stuff to part of summer is comedy of. I think we all really have gone through a long winter. And we're saying make us laugh give us something that will just make say, whatever. I can just sit back and not think. So what's there for that? There's a movie called longshot. This is a movie in which Charlotte Theran is playing the secretary of state who is running for president. But falling Manley in love with who staff throw in. Okay. It's like, a beauty and the beasts thing going on here. Seth Rogan is her speechwriter all of her people say what are you doing? You're going to destroy your career. But no, it's love. And if you don't laugh at the combination of Seth Rogan, Charlie staring. There's nothing left for you. And then we have the hustle. The hustle is a movie that used to be called dirty run scoundrels where the old days it was about conman. Now, it's con- women. They're played by Anne Hathaway and rebel Wilson. And they basically go all cross the continent finding rich people whose money they can steal pretty people. Glamour? What's wrong with that? Oh, book smart. This is directed by the actress Olivia Wilde, and it's about girls graduating from high school and saying we spent all our lives with our head in the books. Everybody else is going to parties and having fun. So they're going to do that beanie Feldstein plays one of them. She is the sister of Jonah hill and real life and Jona hill did super bad. This is kind of the women's version of super bad everything in it works, like a charm. You're really going to like that one. Then we have a movie called late night. This is about the TV talk show world and Emma Thompson plays. Probably the only woman on late night TV who hosts her own show, but she's got only men on her writing staff, and then she hires Mindy Kaeling who also wrote the screenplay of this movie, very very funny about what happens when you put women into what basically has been. A male bass they end of doing this. And the combination of Mindy king writing for the great Emma Thompson and watching them perform together is just so you've got to see that one to my favorite kind of thing. The dead. Don't die. You've got to admit that is a great and funny title. It comes from the indie, directing great, Jim Jarmusch. And it's cut people like Bill Murray and Adam driver by zombies. Okay. If Bill Murray is going to go out there and get laughs. Sizing up zombies. I'm going to be there watching him do it. So we have a good chance for laughs horror. I've got to talk about it now because it's not just the Cajun. Oh movie harm movie that makes money any makes people talk and get happy. It's they're everywhere. Now child's play do you? Remember the old child's play movies where you had Chucky. The crazy nut doll that. Always terrified me. Just. This doll who looks kind of little bit weird and freckly, but he has a voice on him like a longshoreman guess who's doing the west now of Chucky Marquel? Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker. And from what I've seen of it in. It's just been a little bit of it. It's wonderfully malevolent, so I'm going to be there to see that one. Then there's Annabel comes home. Another doll another possess doll also part of the conjuring universe where a viewer for Megan Patrick Wilson. Or the demon knowledge is that tried to make sure that nothing bad can come of this horrible doll Annabelle, but Bill will destroy and I will be there to watch her. Do it then them that follow their certain titles that get me them that follow really gets me? And it's about a snake handling church in Appalachia. No, they there are there colts. And they're almost religious cult where people pray. But they have the snakes, and they hold the life thinks pass them on. And you're thinking, what are you tell me about this like CD movie Har movie will guess who the star of this movie is the freshly minted Oscar winner Ogilby Coleman from the favourite, she's tossing those snakes around so irresistible.
