"Element too much of an outcast in the beginning especially amongst those small tribes or if they lose early and they wanna get rid of somebody she might be easy lamb to the slaughter. Okay all right back to erica for the final minute of her interview. Leave your mark on the game. Honestly i just want to be myself. I last year when i was supposed to come. I think i had so much pressure on. You know it's been so many seasons since a woman has one. I want to be the ones break that auburn in i want to be the ones who resent like canadian. And women of color in all of that in think that i don't know having in all of that invisible added pressure on myself. Who is just too much. I think he would have blown my game. I played last year like honestly this year. All i wanna do is just be myself. You'd be that kind person who is also a silent killer and hoping that just being able to play authentically like that's enough to leave him are and if not then. Hey at least. I did it my way. So yes wow killers and monsters. Tina season of survivor ever very dangerous. Very dangerous Maybe the biggest monster of all is the smallest one. Exactly the most lethal. So you spoke thoughts about erica. I think coming in with a lesser pressure on himself on herself. I think is good. I really do think she has the capacity to either. Do really well or not do so. Well just depending on the group she ends up with and i think some of the more outdoorsy circumstances that fall on her lap. Yes eric is going to be my winner. Pick but she seems like a fun personality to have on the show. I mean we talked about during the kickoff. She has that absolutely killer of brenda reference in her bil- right about how Brenda was not afraid to show her teeth Yeah so maybe brenda upside for erica. I mean that she is on the smaller side into the boxing and fitness fearless reminds me a little the first lady podcasting. Oh there we go so. That's definitely if you need to substitute five for five host. I'm sure you're in that regard. Firstly product is not always with the positive attitude. So that being said. I do wonder also if eric could be like a surprise endurance beast as well because i do feel like the fitness. That was either surprise. Yeah like despite her small frame considering how much they just those challenges for for high. I think that she can be someone that actually if they continue with the individual challenges stand in one place and do something for a long amount of time. I think she could really do well in those. Okay all right. Mike on erica. Know erica is a yeah. I'm excited to see erica. Brings you know. She has a sir in lineage to follow in the purple hairstyle. And we'll see if the hairstyle can make the edit or vice versa. Who's next mike. Let's continue on the short people here. Let's go from erica. To evy evy. Yes i'll let me say off the top here pronouns. Are she they. So just for everyone out there you can refer to and i confirmed this with a herself themselves via dm you can refer to as either pronoun if you like really just absolutely fine either way but those are those are the pronouns grabby okay. What's are some interesting facts. You tell us about so. I would describe themselves as extroverted enthusiastic and smart. They are a phd student studying. I believe human evolutionary biology. I'm trying to remember the college at harvard. I believe and a bit bit of a late comer to survivor but very passionate. Their partners roommate got them into this show and it got to the point. Where before leaving. They basically held like big survivor. Watch parties where even during kovin they would do it over zoom or drag their tv out into the backyard. Yeah built an entire group of friends around watching survivor. And all these people from different walks of life came together to wash the greatest game on earth almost like a precursor to what survivor isn't a nutshell. When they were any big vote outside somebody pointed at the tv and laugh can only imagine so. There's always a mike. Blooming grove is a not okay. What else should we set up forever. Someone who's got the quirky look as well. They're going to talk about how they're to be rocking the glasses and bow tie which. I'm sure we'll be a very unique. We always talked about how you know. Everyone necktie in the cast photo. Yeah i'm not sure what the piece of of neck wear is going to be but either way when you wear out there. Yeah i feel like that's always a big statement to make Yeah okay should we listen in to your with heavy okay. Well let's hear from evy. Here's why are you here on survivor So as i said. I'm doing it and i've been doing doing it for six years. I've been in school my entire life and i'm like almost at the end of it and about about bar embarked on this adventure that is entering the quote unquote real world. And what a better way to push myself out of this than doing like the crazy adventure of all time and play the greatest game that's ever been invented so so yeah and i'm just a huge huge fan of survivor and can completely joe. What's your favorite moment in survivor history. Wow if.

"Have been some of the most inspiring moments I've ever had. Um, are there things that you look back at And regret regret, saying regret not pushing harder. Regret, not voting differently. Regret not engaging further. I think it's hard in this in these roles not to wish You were doing Maura or were more effective on a regular basis. Are there moments that stand out to you? What do you think? Oh, man. If I could go back and shift how I behaved at that time, I would Well, e think in terms of my own personal behavior of e one of the things they personally I'm not one of the biggest talkers on the council. You know, I generally, uh, the mindset I learn more by listening, um Personally, So I I I I feel good about the way I've interacted and have spoken about topics on the council during term. I 10 years so But I think in terms of going back, there are some issues where I think I probably should have been a little bit more vocal about like, especially like in the last few days, for example. I've gotten quite a few e mails and contacts about the selection of the new police chief, and people are very upset. They think that the oversight civilian oversight boards being Circumvented and they want to have all this vetting process on part of the board, and it's It's something that When you read the ordinance that was passed to create that work there isn't there isn't a mechanism for that kind of vetting process and I guess You know when we were taking up that topic, Um you know, I had questions to the back of my mind that like okay, love. What are people going to do when it's kind of a higher new police chief in there? Find out this the place on Fire Commission. That's as the selection process and there's really not a spell over role for the oversight board in this, you know, the selection of a new chief. In retrospect, given, especially given the contacts I'm getting for people are upset now. You know, maybe I should have spoken up more. If you had spoken up. What would you have said You know, I think I would have You know, probably pointed out horrible what the role of police and Fire Commission is under state law and the limitations. And that we have in terms of the oversight board is going to be able T accomplish or do because at a minimum, maybe That would have help develop a greater understanding What the limitations we're gonna be because I can fully understand why some people are upset now because I think Even perhaps There's uh, I believe that the oversight board was gonna have a greater rolled in and actually can't have Hmm. Maybe if we would have had Or thirdly discussed. You know the interactions between the police and Fire Commission and and oversight board and what we're limited T doing under state law. Maybe things would be going a little bit more smoothly now or early people have no guess affair. Understanding? Yeah, sits in play. I think that's such an interesting balance as an elected official, like when is it your job to inform the community of state statute and the kind of The reality of your jurisdiction. What the parameters of your role and and how that you know, is informed on What part of your job is to change those parameters? On Dwayne. You can put pressure and when you can't and how to how to be effective. Have you? Um, you know, in in examining kind of that moment in which you think folks would have Ben better equipped to have this conversation if they had more information. Do you see that as as your role when you When you exit? Do you think that you will, you know, be be highly vocal in the community in terms of making sure that that folks understand kind of the parameters and reality of the work you once did. E think I'll continue that because, like in my district, especially, um uh um Much of the my district. It's it's pretty new on and what is it will be adding nor to my district this month. The solution of the town of Blooming grove on areas north of the landfill area. For example, we're gonna be absorbing more of the time blooming grove in S O for from my district like one of the frustrations that people have had Is in terms of public safety services, Uh around fire and ambulance especially, you know, there was a lot of growth and it took forever. Tonto Station, 14 under Dr Phil for the Mass and Fire Department, and really, you know the staffing for that we would not have been able to do that. It's not for us under Tammy Baldwin and represent can because we were able to get some federal dollars and that enabled us to hire the firefighters. Well. In my distributor. You know, there are still parts of my district that serve ice Station five on country road. They're closer to the Carlin's. So if there's a medical emergency, I was able to work with full council members and get a paramedic on the fire engine for station 14 along medical supplies..

"Chris Moore with you until summer's That's right. The schmoozer top of the hour, 877337 66 66 right back at it with Martin and Gilford. He joins us on the fan. I'm Martin. Hi, Chris. How are you tonight? All good brother. What do you got? Ellis and I hate to beat a drum 1000 times. But I've been on this station more than once. Maybe even with you. Talking to people about how insane it is that Teams from Florida. Come up north and bring their Petri dish up with them. Not their own politician is state of the union here. And so as a result of the Marlins scenario to have major league baseball teams from Texas, Arizona, Florida land and even California travel around the country. Is Crazy. I don't want to say it. I mean, it makes zero public health sense yet We have this Pollyanna attitude that we're going to go through it and Major League Baseball has announced no one's asked him at one point to be You know, part of expression of a drop dead solution of this. I mean, they just do it. There's flying by the seat of their pants. We all know that. I'm on it. It's crazy. Our country has been At best, at best, Disorganized about Cove it and the whole baseball approach to it has married a whole countries approach to it. And I can go on. Well, they're both. They're both monopolies. I mean, in a way, you know others. Ah, you know, we're at the mercy of the government wants we elect them And then after they're elected and you know, they can do pretty much what they want. We don't have a lot of Say, really, And obviously the sports are monopolies and they do what they want. Now you're not mollified at all by the fact that they're testing these players every day. Say it again. You're not mollified at all by the fact that they're testing these players every day. Whereas most people don't get tested their tested for covert everyday so even if they but yeah, we had the situation of Philadelphia. I mean, testing is on a perfect scenario. It's good. I'm not saying we shouldn't To have these people going home and living their communities, which are Very problematic covert right now and thinking that testing is that panacea is Inadequate in my opinion. Well, look, I don't I can't Martin. I can't say that. I really disagree with you. I just understand. That, um I just understand how difficult this whole thing is. The days are very valuable. Like we don't have a discussion because it is such an intangible, but we don't talk about time. Each one of us Is losing productive time here time with loved ones time with older relatives, in particular that might be in nursing homes, assisted living. Ah Hospice if that's unfortunately the case. You know, you just Um, you just really struggle with the loss of time knowing you can't get days back. So To give up and say. We're all going to stay in. Is understandably really difficult, and it may have been the thing to do in March. When hindsight it certainly looks like it would have been The thing to do. But our borders air still open. People are going to come across and this pandemic is going to Have its pockets of success. Which is failure for us, But success for the pandemic for the virus itself is going to find ways in a free society like ours in a country with our square footage. Our population. And our diverse living styles. We're you know, we're screwed in a lot of ways. So what we do is manage it the best we can, and we'll argue forever about whether just how poorly we We did in that department of managing it the best we can. But I don't dismiss the sentiment. Of trying To work our way through this with a certain amount of intelligence. But I I don't see that. You know this is a bad argument when People can call from both sides and make their arguments and I find myself Pretty much stuck. But I'll say this in Martin's defense in my world. Martin's Mohr right than most Probably wasn't a great idea. To start thes season's Even with the financial opportunities. That are lost because they if they hadn't done it. Because the Again as we started the show with the risk reward scenario here. Just isn't favorable enough. In the long run, in my opinion, but it is opinion worthy. You know, it very much is opinion worthy. It is not what people like to use these days. As the phrase no brainer. It is not that It is not that It's it's Muchmore. Nuanced than that and much more difficult to make these decisions and unless you're making them You know, I don't think you have the proper perspective to be Emphatic one way or the other. I think you certainly have the right to your opinion, but being emphatic about One side or the other without considering all angles. Is pretty difficult, Maybe for you. It's clear, but that doesn't mean it's clear for your neighbor Mark in Blooming Grove, New York Up Next on the fan, I'm Mark Hi, Chris. Great show. Thanks. I'd like to talk about How do you feel about the fact that sports used to be like the toy Department? In other words, whatever was going on in the world you could. You could turn on the sports program or we'll watch your favorite team and kind of get like, enjoy enjoyment from that, where now everything is pushed front and center and sports is becoming politicized..

"Besides what's the thousand years of lying in history for us but that if that was I think that was the story scarier part so what are some parallels between the entertainment industry in the wine industry. Because you're doing a lot of similar but smaller stage. Maybe I don't know what do you think. Aw I joke with people through tasting say like yellow making wine still show business families especially when my job is very similar. I did before because I'm really doing a live event every time And that's what I was doing. Hooman calling the show and I'm virtually calling the event so to speak So my job is very similar so I feel great about my skillset coming in and being able to do weddings and events and do more of them. It's just a very different experience in terms of you know it's a very different experience it's a it's an experience that rings a lot of joy in love and that's the main focus of this whereas the different kinds of show with will end but also on yet and I think the differences is that you're working with a different cover every single to hire and we pretty much knew what working with the blue man you know we knew the performers with change here and there but pretty much new show was every time Mrs show is like every different all the time. I don't no no. I was always behind the seat. So like when I officiate weddings to me. That's really weird. Because I'm actually run of everyone where I really feel uncomfortable. I was one of the directors actors and a casting director and so I like to be why machines So it's it's a little bit different that I still feel like all my skill set sending learned English. I really serving me everything that I do hear people make the pizzas on Sunday and people will sometimes joke about the house. It's a lot different playing drums because I played drums boom there for twelve years. And it's actually not that different in my world Because I played trump group. It was focused. It was doing different things with different limbs and and on making pizzas. It takes a very for me. A very similar focus I am constantly moving So it it's it's of course not playing drums with very similar. When I'm in they're very similar to when I was playing a show booming and then with wine tastings or tasting the often but and blooming grove? After the shows or Dmitri so unique people turn over the world and it's very similar here and that way. Whenever I am doing tastings or brief sometime I can meet someone here? We have people from all over the the country and all over the world so that's a similarity to our the apple experience. Certainly my personal experience. I think also we really adopt the show must go on. You know like there could be beat. Lots of different things that have happened during the course of the day or a wedding in our thing is how are we going to make this. And how are we going to make it happen in A A welcoming hospitable of joyful way as much but that's white people want that's the energy that people want here in so yeah. Torrential rain storms hail broken lives the one. That's I think theatrical career really helped us with like we're GONNA it's GonNa have that how I think one of the most amazing lessons as well for us as snow background in the arts general but also this is an extremely ultimately collaborative environments and we had over a decade of intensive training for now to work in collaboration with people and how to work as a team and having difficult conversations when they happening from up. And you're leaving ego at the door and Y'all just want the best best outcome and the best for the company the best customers and their experience and answer. It's that has been just amazing blessing verses that as things come up in a partnership that we are equipped to to address insult officiency. It's been which was very specific about Making sure that not only we did our job while also how we did our job with one another it was just as important and we were held accountable for that and I agree. We took those back on that experience in those lessons and brought him into.

"Download the radio Dachau map and favorite us today and if you have a smaller speaker just say play WFAN I let's wrap it up with a bang let's set the Ronkonkoma Eric joins us without Berwick good morning couple things real quick right the hopefully this thing with McNeil doesn't affect his you know gripping on the back on there this holiday I I understand that okay the Mets look or whether they changed managers are not the only thing I'm praying for here in the offseason I don't want to hear any bravado out of anybody I don't care who it is players the GM the owner nobody nobody what I want to hear from them is that our goal is what it should always be to make the playoffs and get to the World Series that's it I don't wanna hear what better than them will better than them over them and not the end they had nothing to base it on and I'm saying that in the sand right did the they'll be realistic in this okay and then the listing real quick. you being a Yankee fan aside if you look at who's in there right now okay what team you think is the scariest to be in the playoffs right now yes yes. that way you know with the way along his point no I still the Astros speak to their line up is the deepest their starting pitching is exemplary they won the World Series two years ago look Milwaukee is on an incredible run. the waiver alley in the absence of yellowish the job the crate council has done with that team. I'll be rooting for next week yes the nationals I hope they beat the nationals I'll probably be wagering on the brewers because I'm again the plus money and the nationals love to choke in the post season so to me that's a good value bet. but now the brewers and out the most scary team the policies the Astros top to bottom they are. doesn't mean they're given though the one World service is that they can't get Jim Jones is without general Gordon Jerry Jerry I'll be quick I know time short to quit playing symbol it's a net the jets fan I'm not convinced he's the guy wouldn't it be ironic. the giants passed on Donald last year and they drafted Barkley and then they turn around this year and they drafted Jones who may turn out to be about a quarterback I want pulling the plug on Donald let me based on what we saw last year was a rookie it was a mixed bag. we also but to be fair though Jim is also one form it's is it the end of the year that world with that show. I mean the game against the Houston Texans he was sensational game against the Buffalo Bills against a very good defense leading his team from behind when you have a whole lot to work with Donald still has a ton of talent. side and unfortunately Jim moral prisoners of the moment right yeah because of what Daniel Jones did on Sunday you have people immediately now saying he's better than Paul Arnold that's it the giants got a ride the jets got a wrong yeah the idea. let's put this matter a little bit folks. well. David Jones look terrific. I want to see what he has in store for an encore I still am a firm believer that Sam Doral has it I think sandals gonna be a very good quarterback in this league. I pull out a little bit of Middletown bread choices without Brad. Hey buddy how are you right on the wall man what's up doc. what both Yankee fans now I want to tell you something we'll do that but the next need to do is show up their bullpen more because some event last Tuesday apple north by the board. they will compare it at least one of those losses to win the match will be in the playoffs right now. yes you mentioned that the lead Sydney Stein Wheeler and training the guard. well thank you I suppose traders who would make sense to you when I questioned that is the question. when do you ask him the eighties but sad green would you do. first of all there's no way in the world the Mets and make that change the lack. second of all I don't know how many times I need to say this the Aggies and that's on on a on a check third of all. considering what I saw. from the Watson who are this year. the way he handles the media the sensitivity that nonsense with the personal catcher only one was in it on a Yankees. "Radio dot com station. Evan Roberts here on a Saturday on a Saturday where undoubtedly the New York Islanders of the hottest team in the NHL. And the Brooklyn nets are the hottest team in the NBA toll free number is eight seven seven three three seven sixty six sixty six I might bring every segment back with that comment just over and over again all day long. Let's kick it off with Mark and blooming grove good morning. Mark. More Evan great show. I agree with you on the the playoffs here. I think in the game. I think the Rams a better team. I think they'd be better personnel. But you're playing in New Orleans with the better quarterback. And then in the patriot Kansas City game. I think is probably a better team. And they had the home field. But I don't know. I just think somehow the patriots if their close at the end of the game they're going to win. I don't think that the patriot Kansas City game. I think either team could be down ten fourteen points in the third quarter. And I still think the opposite come back. I think early it could be a low scoring game. What you were saying defensive. But I think but a third or fourth quarter of that game. I think you're going to see the team that's behind that scoring will. But it's going to make it a lack game. Well, we've seen both offenses are capable of putting on shows and we've seen it against each other when they played earlier this season at Gillette stadium, and we saw what the patriots did last week. I mean, the patriots took the San Diego Chargers rallied defense and humbled them completely. And it was and dunks to James white. It was so Michelle running the football incredibly. Well, the chargers in the first quarter of this game could not stop the patriots. It was thirty two thirty three third and four and they could. Not get off the field. Kevin is in west Islip pay. Kevin. Hey, I'm going talk to you. Enjoy awhile. Well, hey on you down, Greg. This is this is awesome. I've been here. And basically it was when back in the eighties, but does pasta and those guys and then with the nets I'm not really in that fan. But I give you guys credit, and it's fun to see them do. Well, so I'm happy to see that. So it's been a phone rod Kevin. Thank you very much for the call. Look when you look at star with the islanders as you said, you're an island fan, really. And they had the one moment in two thousand sixteen where they finally went around. And that was great. It was fulfilling. It was the first time since nineteen Ninety-three at that time for me personally. I'm a nine year old kid when they pulled off that great upset against Pittsburgh. I was a long time ago, obviously, the eighties with a hey days for them the nets. Hey days before the earth that really since the ABA was the Jason Kidd run the run that they had more recently with a very weird kinda anti-climactic run. I can't describe it. But and maybe it's because they bought such unlikeable guys like Darren Williams, Joe, John. Wasn't unlikable. But it was just a very it was a team that was tough to root for and when they won the forty eight forty nine games in the first year in Brooklyn. I don't know the whole year. I never really enjoyed it. And maybe that's on me. Maybe other net fans felt the same way. And then the year after there was so much pressure because they made that trade for Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce this net team right now. And I don't know where it's going right now the six Eastern Conference. I don't know if this is ending with them sneaking in his because they've been very difficult schedule at the end of the season if this elevates, and they actually went around which would stunned us all I know where it's going, but from an enjoyment standpoint this is probably the most enjoyable net season. I've had since the Jason Kidd run because the run that they had the Darren Williams era. If you want to call it that the Billy king era. It was never enjoyable. They were good went forty eight forty nine games in the NBA. Good got to the second round when the Garnett Pierce year, but it was never enjoyable. This one's enjoyable and the islander thing in a different way has been so stunning because it happens right after the franchise walks out the door. Right after their guy. The biggest star this franchises had homegrown in decades. Really since the dynasty. He walks out the door in this stunning fashion. And I think there was just this assumption of well here come the dark days again, but Lula MURILLO was walking through that door. And so is Stanley Cup winning head coach and what a difference specifically the coach has made so far Mike is in Glen ridge, New Jersey. Hey, I'm I'm really looking forward to this game tomorrow night. I mean, this is huge the home and sprayed to me. It's just like phrase rally next the next great quarterback going up feels that way. The greatest quarterback of all time. And in terms of the game. I think it's kind of a wash because you can't sit clearly has an advantage playing at home, and they have a more dynamic passing offense. Patriots defense is better. And they've better running game fairly the advantage in terms of coaching. So I just think it's gonna come down execution and who voids mistakes, and I'll be a close game. And for that reason as a betting man, I'll pick the patriots three-point. Well, you know, it's funny Mike, that's what I ended up doing on Friday where I said, you know, what I don't have a great feeling any of these games. I'll take the points. The one thing if you are a patriot hater the way, I am. And I think most people listening right now are the one thing you have to like is that history is on your side this team on the road. Not just this season. Not just the regular season. But in their playoff history has not been the same. Here's the key. Tyreek hill has done a fan. Fantastic job, obviously against everybody. But specifically against the patriots. They've slowed down. Travis Kelsey in the past. Actually Kareem hunt is done big damage against the patriots. He's not walking through that door. Ken. They contain tyreek hill contain them. You're not going to shut them down. But can you slow him down? Just a tad. It's gonna be fun to watch. It's going to be interesting to watch the track record of this patriots franchise during this run is that they don't nearly have the success on the road is they haven't home and through this Joe made him laugh, and I think it's been mentioned by numerous people. I'm certainly not the only one the old joke that Tom Brady's accomplished everything. Right. But the one thing he hasn't accomplished is he doesn't have as many road playoff wins is Mark Sanchez. And that's still the demon that he's chasing. Look. I mean, obviously a big part of it is most years the patriots are hosting the tire AFC playoffs. And I figure that was going to happen this year. I've said numerous times, you know, something happen. Where the chiefs get picked off and the patriots are hosting the AFC title game. But you look at the last two they had to play in Denver. One was very close. They act you had a chance Tiet with a two point conversion with about ten seconds to go that they failed on. And then the one before that they got blown out. They got beat up remember the Colt one in Indianapolis also against Peyton Manning where they had a big lead actually blew it. So their track record on the road to the postseason hasn't nearly been the same as what they've done Gillette pats in Nyack, Pat. Hey, how's it going good? What's up, man? Hey,.

"Up? Mike goes. What about the line of the game Mickelson's, minus sixteen? He actually had another good round the day. Yeah. Yeah. I I mean cost must be playing pretty easy. If you sixty nine the, blah, but let's see where it gets man. That's pretty crazy. If the two days, but we'll see what happens is still a lot of guys close by. We'll see how it works out. Nice. If he won the opening tournament of the it'd be very good for I think that would be very good fan. If he did that. Excited ballots. Another day was talking about this. But I think the the New England line open it three and a half was it like for a couple hours three and a half to go down. I never saw her that never saw on three. I've never seen it three and a half. So the game three and a half the saints with three and a half. Never saw the New England game three half MAC joins us. What's up? Hey, mike. How are you? What's happening? Hey, the whole onside kick thing. I'll throw something out. I don't know how crazy it sounds. They're obviously trying to do away with all kind of see that. Why don't they just put the obstacles out say at the twenty five and you put only nine players against the eleven defensive player. Circus, though, they're not gonna do that. I mean, listen. Rather wouldn't you can attorney Tom Brady year? But they're not gonna turn the game at MAC. They're not gonna turn their game into that. Okay. They're not gonna turn that game into into a circus at the end. They're not doing that. They're not gonna come up with these carnival things at the end of the game. It's not gonna happen where you're playing less guys against Moore guys to do that stuff. John has what's up John? Thank you. A statement. And a question statement is the first time ever that she should got to host the conference for the franchise. Correct. And a statement is are you going to be doing the trivia contest this year? Not officially know yet. You sound like a sponsor something, right? What people don't understand is? If you listen to these commercials. Right. And you hear a big game big game game. They're not allowed to mention the Super Bowl. And you're not allowed to have anything that pertains to Super Bowl without a Super Bowl sponsor. So they are trying to get it done with a sponsor. That's what has to happen. If it doesn't happen. You cannot have the contests impossible. It's not allowed the rules with the NFL comes to the Super Bowl of very strict. They do not let you touch the Super Bowl unless you have a Super Bowl sponsor involved and Super Bowl sponsor is a sponsor that has advertising. On some law and that costs millions. So you're dealing with big companies. Natan blooming grove. What's update? Mike. I was just curious. Either Brady or breeze would retire if they won the whole thing. No. I do not. Okay. Isn't that? Like, I don't think either one. I don't think either one is even hinted they would retire. Okay. I mean is that like a common attitude for old guard players or do they just hang on for the money or how? Listen, I think everybody's different. I think it's how they feel physically. I think that's a big part of it. I think they have to feel good. I think they have to be in a good place. And I think these guys feel they take really good care of themselves. Tom Brady has said he he said just weeks ago. Please forty five. Tony what's up, Sean? Hey, mike. How you doing? What's happening? Mama Michigan fan. I just wanted to ask you, you know. As far as Jim Harbaugh is concerned. I I know he catches obviously, he's been catching heat the past couple of years with his progress against stunk is thank you know. I agree. But you know, we were coming off years of rich Rodriguez and Brady Hoke. I mean, you know, we will lose it in Minnesota. And Wisconsin plenty of years to win the idea of winning there. Let's be honest. Okay. There's been plenty of guys who can go there and win. If winning doesn't mean beating Ohio State. It's about beating Ohio State winning and winning and winning ball games. You understand that? It's not about Minnesota come on. I. I two years, you know, he didn't really have his place. Now, he did though. I really consider. I mean, he's all into against him. I mean, he's going into that game tonight. Listen as a nice nice. It's a nice way to put it. But let's be honest. The has eight listen, I've been a very big Jim Harbaugh supporter as a head coach. He has done a lousy job at Michigan. He did a great job everywhere else. He's been he's dying allows pretty lousy lousy is not strong. He'd beat until last year. He had not beaten a ranked team. So lousy is the word he is not on the job. It shouldn't have taken him for years. And you know, what he's going to leave there and he's never beaten urban Meyer. Now, he doesn't have to worry about. Mike. My question to you is this your gut feeling do you think? I mean, what what's how do you feel like as far as how long he's going to stay? I have no idea. What I can't. I can't answer that. I have. I can't I have. No, I have no idea. He could might want to be there the rest of his life. I have only might want to be there until he until he wants national championship. I have no idea. I really have. I have no way of knowing that I have no idea what he wants. But if you're going to tell me that he hasn't done a bad job there. Then you didn't have very high expectations for him. But he goes Jim Hobo went there to win national championships to beat Ohio State and national championships. That's what the expectations were. Eric in Connecticut was very. My car. What's happening? I would just like to say first off I may Boston sports fan. But I totally enjoy your show. What do we begin Connecticut? And I've read you forever. I know. I think you stated you have the best relationship with ballot. Check. I would like to say what you think the patriots legacy as and if you think it could ever be repeated in the NFL going to be difficult. Listen, I think the in the modern time in this era of football. They've put they've put forth an incredible level of consistency. Do I see somebody getting to many Super Bowls as they have to be very difficult to do because. To keep the continuity to have a quarterback of that magnitude that length of time is just going to be very hard for the final coaching quarterback to stay together that many years and the wind as much as they have. I mean, it's just very difficult to do. I mean, it's virtually impossible. They've they've built an incredible legacy. I mean, listen, it doesn't erase all the legacies. I know this and this is one thing. And this is why when people try to nullify what he lamenting the giants did. What stands between Bill Belichick and Tom Brady and complete immortality was Super Bowl forty two and Super Bowl forty six and especially Super Bowl forty two and for any fool, and it's a fool to say that Eli manning was not a factor in that game. He was in the game against a team that people were calling the greatest team of all time. And twice in the fourth quarter. He brought the giants from behind in the fourth quarter and in the fourth quarter. He was nine of fourteen for one hundred and fifty two yards and two touchdowns to say he didn't have an impact on that game might be the dumbest thing I've ever heard. And then you want to get to the next game. Will he brought them from behind twice? Well, he was behind twice. He actually led them onto field goal drives from behind in the fourth quarter. One got to where they were down on a point. And then they got it to where they were in front and they will behind bowl times a gun begun one drive and then came the Manahan play. And he got them the lead, and they wound up winning that game too. So both times from behind. He was behind the whole second half of that game. In the second one the first one they will behind ten seven. They went ahead, and then they will behind twice and both times he brought them from behind in the fourth quarter and only threw for one hundred and fifty two yards and two touchdowns against an undefeated team that people thought with the bus that might be the best of all time, but didn't have again. I mean, come on. I mean, that's silly. Neilan rebel. What's up? Neil. Hey, Mike, how you doing? What's happening? Thanks for taking my call. It's funny when people, and you know, the fact that the guy wants. Probably get him in the hall of fame and to say that he somehow it wasn't a part of. It is listen it was not for fourteen for one hundred and fifty two yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter and twice came from behind the beat the pats them, two different games. He was behind after the third quarter in both games. He was behind seventeen to fifteen. Okay. And he won the game. Twenty one seventeen. And you remember the road of the playoffs. He took that one. One year. I believe the first Super Bowl where he went through. I think three all of fame quarterback on the road to get there. So I mean, he's demonstrated civilian the playoff my fingers behind seventeen fifteen. He went ahead eighteen seventeen and then he put the extra touch jail golden, go ahead twenty one seventeen bowl times. But he was behind before that he was behind in the third quarter. And then he was behind to start the fourth quarter seventeen fifteen. He got the field goal. And then he had a made the play to get out of there with Manny ham that set up the field goal that put them a four which turned out to be the winning points in that game. They want to put them up four which obviously meant the pets had to come down and get a touchdown. So those were the two things the second game. He he made the great Manningham throw. He made some good throws the first game. And I think in on drive that put them ahead. I think he was a hit five straight passes on the drive that put them ahead eighteen seventeen. And then in the other game. I thought he was nine fourteen. One hundred fifty two yards and two touchdowns in the fourth quarter. I mean, that's a big fourth quarter. Kyle and ocean port. What's up? Eight. Now much. I just wanted to I two things one about the AFC game is figuring another. Talking about my dad's childhood saying longtime he's fine out there for the game. Good or it's going to be what are you? What do you think? Well, we'll talk about that in a minute back after this. This is Tiki barber with a CBS sports minute. Twenty eighteen has been viewed as the year of offense of explosion in the NFL points in yards per game. Completion percentages and big plays are at record high. But an old school principle. Still applies when it comes to winning in the postseason. You gotta run the ball. And stop the run that cliche is in reference to the perils of throwing the ball. Once the weather turns cold, and the wind starts to how that doesn't always apply, especially since the NFC's number one seed saints play in the Mercedes Benz dome, regardless each of the four main teams all dominated the ground game in the divisional round by almost a hundred yards with the Rams dominating the Cowboys by two hundred and twenty yard. I'm sure this weekend in the AFC and NFC championship game. We'll see our fair share of big plays in the passing game. But when it comes down to winning and losing, I still believe whoever dominates the trenches wins the games. I'm Tiki barber..
