"Todd, if he had battery powered Jesus on his T-shirt, I might, I might take a chance to that myself, but that's not the issue. You said it's not a public place. Of course, it's a public place. Any story you go into in America is a public place. And the point is, if they want to take them to court like the preacher said, that mentioned a suit that would drown him in debt, I would think that would be an option. And the other thing is it's called a class action suit. They could make a class action suit against the mall of America and they would win because their attorneys would not know what to say when the one was brought into court that you allow these freaks and on the left to come in and with their t-shirts and you don't allow religious people to do the same. So I think they have a case. And it would really even shut down that place. But Martin, it is a private place, though, and this is a mall and they have rules from regulations governing conduct and they're allowed to do it. Now the issue is public accommodation and maybe maybe they could get them on that. But again, they could get them easily. Easily on several issues and I think that T-shirt thing is one of them. Like kids going to school with t-shirts have said God bless America. Well, that's one of the issues. Unfortunately, public schools have a handle on the with the courts and they get away with. That. They can allow children to come into schools with t-shirts that says God bless America or something to that effect. So I think the religious thing is very important in any case. In any case in court.

He canceled the so-called muslim travel ban for citizens of muslim-majority countries and finally while wearing a mask while sitting behind the resolute desk. Something that president trump had not done. President biden signed an executive order. Mandating the wearing of masks in areas that the federal government had authority that is intended to signal that this is a president that will take cove nineteen on much more seriously and someone who believes unlike the previous administration that it will be primarily the federal government's responsibility to coordinate policy as opposed to leaving it up to the states. Okay but that's comparatively easy stuff. We we know that orders but what about the more complicated stuff that will take congressional backing the first bill that is going to consume the biden presidency is going to be another cove relief measure. It's supposed to amount to two trillion dollars in spending. It includes money for a vaccination drive for testing contact tracing and it includes some economic relief measures. They've signaled that the second big proposal they're going to try to get through. Congress is going to be a infrastructure package based on what he has laid out during the campaign we imagined that it would be also quite big perhaps on the order of two trillion dollars and this would be not only where things like universal broadband and roads and bridges trucial infrastructure. Get their day but also would be the primary vehicle. For president biden's main climate agenda items including massive investment in clean energy research tax credits for wind solar all those sorts of things will probably come in that second bill. Well that's what he wants. But what is he likely to get he. He does have a democratic majority in the house and in the senate but it's by the slimmest of margins so there are two ways that biden can get things through congress. The first is to attract enough republican votes to defeat a filibuster which is basically of rule that allows forty members of the senate to stall any legislation in other route that he has available to. Him is a procedure known as reconciliation. That's a budgetary measure. Which is immune to filibuster and often used by presidents with slim majorities to get some of their policy priorities through. It is a tougher route to take than the normal one. There are limits on what you can do what we've seen so far is that he's not shy away from proposing some of the biggest seeming most ambitious legislation that he can and i think the strategy here is to go big and let it get whittled down as you go through the process of congressional negotiations. And there's still the matter of former president trump's impeachment trial i mean. How do you think that will affect mr biden's ability to agenda going so the main problem with impeachment is that it will take up time on the senate floor because all the senators will have to be present to hear the evidence against former president trump and to decide. Eventually that is floor time. That could be used to confirm. President biden's nominees. The be used to confirm judges that could be used to debate. Legislation the sentence on session that much. So that's the main problem and the biden administrations actually hinted at the fact that they are somewhat worried. That impeachment might take up some of their time. But there's no indication that it is going to be stalled. Seems like it's gonna start relatively soon and probably what what might happen is split sort of schedule where the impeachment trial doesn't take up all the time that the senate has available. It's an understatement. To say mr biden has quite a lot of work to get done here do you. Do you think he's up to it. Do you think he is the man for this moment. Biden comes to office with half a century of experience in washington dc. He comes to office as the oldest man at seventy eight years old to occupy the presidency. He is an elder statesman. He might not serve more than a single term. He sees his role as someone who can turn down the flames of america's partisan warfare right now and he sees himself as a bridge candidate between not only the flanks within the democratic party but some conciliatory republicans right now given the crises. The country faces given the problems of hyper partisanship and mutual antagonism and loathing. You know an attitude like that will make market shift from what we had before coming from the white house so with purpose and resolve we turn to those tasks of our time sustained by faith driven by conviction devoted to one another in the country we love with all our hearts may god bless america and you might be naive to feel optimistic after the events of the last year but i think that there is some grants optimism this

Where Um CBS had hired I don't know if he was CIA or FBI or where he was, but they had hired someone internally to handle sort of security. And you got the sense that he was helping the government to spy on. You know, I remember that correctly. Well, I have to forensic examiners who worked in government intelligence who vote separately indicated that CBS was part of this. Some of the monitoring of the improper activity. And yes, there was a Obama NSC official who worked on cyber stuff within the White House. Got hired. And I believe my still working CBS in charge of a lot of the corporate security stuff, who was oddly disinterested and the illegal intrusions into my computers and TVs, computers. That should be his Bailey, which he never even called me. When this all happened, it was announced. I reached up to him. No interest. No follow up. No help. On Ben. My friends in the intelligence community thought It was somewhat suspicious of the corporation would hire somebody from intelligence because that's not normally a good fit. The people who've worked intelligence don't necessarily have a firewall they're after. And why news organization. I mean, when, when I was first approached, and it was suggested the government was spying on me. That sounded crazy. I've never imagined I mean, of all the things I could have thought and evolved. Skepticism. I had about official powers and government sources. I never would have thought of that so You know, I think his biggest surprise is what happened most recently with the censorship. People are inviting and The irony I've seen like on Twitter groups that call themselves free speech organizations. I don't really know who they are, but they'll tweet something out. And what they're saying is things like You know, it's good that Donald Trump is now removed from Twitter, but we should never forget. They stopped to ask the question about why didn't this happen six months ago, and then I look at their bio and they'll say we're free speech organization and I'm thinking You know is is irony. Does anybody read or well any more students Look at the stuff you journalist even understand the origins of this country and what police speeches and the answer may be. No, I remember Woman, a lawyer from the CIA. You telling me in the last couple of years she regularly Asked, explained the young people that hate speech is protected speech. But it's not illegal and they don't know this or not being taught. Why that would be the case. They're not being taught. You know, the history of the origins of Greece speech in our country and It's just shocking to see what's happening with The crackdown on line in stonewalled You talked about how CBS and other media well, you first came to my attention when you covered Benghazi, and we're rather You were rather vocal in covering Benghazi that there was there was more to this. There was something of a cover up as to what we learned about what happened. September 11th 2012 you wrote about it in stone wall, and that's really what brought you I think to the attention of The Obama administration is someone who they considered very dangerous, but that was a trend. Award Obama, I think probably because of shared politics and policies and enemies. But do you see that happening with Joe Biden? And will it be worse in this environment that things will be covered up much as 100? Biden's laptop was Well, like everything else, it will be dictated by what the interests of the most powerful are whether it's a pharmaceutical industry, another industry or powerful political people, one of the same They may not like something that $5. Maybe he's not far enough left for them maybe too far left on some issues. So when I would say they will be criticized on positions he takes by the media, But when he is I would provide. There were left leaning interest who didn't want fighting to be the nominee now, once he became the nominee. You know that all went down the memory hole as if it never happened. And people who discussed it. Even though this was something that had been brought up by the left were now the new narrative is conspiracy. Tinfoil hat conservative. Conspirators so You know, I think you'll see criticism that there will be a reason behind it. It won't be sort of legitimate journalism. You have been willing to follow stories. Even when the conclusion that emerges is not always popular. You have covered vaccines. And I know that many people have criticized you for that. Have you done any coverage of this latest vaccine that was like it was rushed. Well it by its own admission was rushed. That was, you know, that was the mission work speed and have some information on that on the next two Sundays on my Sunday TV show full measure because I interviewed a cheaper all just for the government. And you know, like everything else, There's many sides and my goal is with the vaccine. To the extent I'm covering some some of the side effects of some of the development. I'm not inviting people what to do. It's a very individual calculation. But my goal is to make sure information is out there so people can make a reason calculation and not have to go. On the narrative lot of health reporting that's been out there. The past year on Corona virus has been false. I mean, just blatantly wrong, so I want to be sure hate to the extent that I can put counterpoints or other scientific studies or more fulsome information out there. That's my goal. I don't have any. You know, there have been side effects and death after these vaccines so far, but I haven't developed any conclusions and I don't have inside information about this particular vaccines at this point that Can shed different light on it. Voted against the impeachment John Yarmuth saying well ahead of time that he would vote for impeachment and he's he's certainly had. He's been at odds with Donald Trump the whole time he was there, in fact, John you're with did not attend the inauguration of Donald Trump four years ago, but the rest of Kentucky's delegation all voted against it. Donald Trump has now released a video response. So I'm going to play it in its entirety, and it's several minutes long, But I'm not gonna interrupt the president's Response to being impeached today. I want to speak to you tonight. About the troubling events of the past week. As I have said the incursion of the U. S Capitol struck at the very heart of our republic. It angered and appalled millions of Americans across the political spectrum. I want to be very clear. Unequivocally condemned the violence that we saw last week. Violence and vandalism have absolutely no place in our country and no place in our movement. Making America great again has always been about defending the rule of law. During the protest. Attendees blocked the streets and vehicles and chanted for the representative to come outside to meet them. Some protesters arrived with body armor and firearms, including handguns and rifles, he wrote on Twitter, blocked with blocked the street with trucks appropriated the US flag singing God Bless America, etcetera, some with guns wearing fatigues, clothing a terrorism has many faces. Democracy was rather terrifying. Yeah, to have that happen outside your house, and that should be condemned. Yes, across the board. Yes, That's something that should be considered off limits is going to people's houses, going to lawmakers, houses and protest ng there. Yeah, guess what happens when you belong to a party that allows roads and bridges and freeways to be shut down and cities to burn. Boo Freaking hoo. "Okay, as an attorney as a political commentator and frankly a former White House official. I used to think I knew a lot about how America picks President I was wrong. I did not know and this year I've been doing research into some of the the fine print in. All the different things in our constitution that we never talk about in I've discovered some legal loopholes that shocked me I guarantee will shock you and could determine the way that the presidential election twenty twenty turns out for instance did you know that under our Constitution? A presidential candidate could actually lose the popular vote. They all to get a majority in the electoral college refused to concede. That's a true fact I know it sounds like some crazy house of cards episodes and I wish it was just change the channel that I just described to you a real world real life possibility that could occur this year the your I'm talking in twenty twenty or some other year if we don't fix some of these glitches in our system. You don't think about this but the fate of the entire republic is in the hands of a single politician and they're willing to walk out there and stand in front of their family standard run the cameras Santa by the whole nation and say I am conceding the race voluntarily. This is a remarkable tradition in our country because at that moment that candidate still hasn't her command, a nationwide army of campaign activist of diehard partisans, tens of thousands of people they could just as easily take up arms take to the streets they can do whatever they wanted to. It's a struggle as always trying to keep it light and bright before I dive into some Super Neuro nerdy stuff and wanted to share with you in a slightly different format. What I use in my perspective with my clients and a huge part of that perspective is neurobiology. In addiction and recovery but also something called life span development psychology L. DP how's that life span developmental psychology and how it affects addiction and recovery so are you ready cause here we go i. Let me define what L. D. P. is life span developmental psychology it is the scientific study of growth and Change Yeah throughout our human development it examines thoughts feelings behaviors in how they change during a person's life and how this change over the span of our life encompasses takes in biology social emotional and cognitive processes process the eased. Although there are typical pathways of development that most individuals follow no two people are exactly alike in the way that they change immature time. This is why cut and paste kind of treatment. Doesn't work for the most part. As an aside I don't know if any of you are watching the documentary on what is it on? Hbo I think called the vow and it's about this group called nexium that was delivering what they called quote Unquote Tech around personal development and what their tech was was trying to outline a step by step process at how to get what you. You're supposed to get personal development in insight into your own behavior and your inner life. When you work with a counselor, they were trying to do it sequentially and Nice little package and boy Oh, boy does this happen a lot that's reproducible that can be given to anybody. So you go through these courses and that the end you've gotten some remarkable insight into yourself. However. The problem with that is that you are all individuals over time your. Stuff. That comes into your system is going to be different at and happen at different times than your siblings even. So when people attempt to apply like programming if you will to the human psyche. It must be individualized and that comes only through discussion individual discussion over time with an individual. When I'm working with a client, I am going to look to help them you explain your life to make sense of your past in the present by looking at your environment and things that have precipitated or prevented growth and changes across your lifespan. Looking at things that optimize development in order to optimize or clarify or give you good outcomes what must be done is to apply appropriate theories to help you develop missing skills and navigate these situations that you navigated all by yourself way back when with no modeling healthy modeling and no real intervention terrible word. But that's the word we use intervention by somebody who knew what they were doing in, for instance, the realm of communication or the realm of dealing with. Emotions all that kind of stuff. So if you pull back and look at the stages of human development, there are predictable stages, but any number of circumstances can interrupt that normal development at any stage or age, and then lead to arrange of problems which might include substance use ongoing addiction issues or a multitude of other mental health illnesses. The Public Square would quickly revert to the law of the jungle. Brutish power would prevail the week. The unborn, the elderly, the gravely ill could be quietly terminated. Much as I enjoy the anthems and fireworks more than that is called for on this July fourth. We need to confess our moral failures in our national sins, repenting of allies of. Killing innocent babies and the elderly. Renewal begins on our knees. It's there. I haven't talked about this in a while and boy. Oh, boy! Is it a topic for what we're living through in this new era? That we. Will likely be writing about in the history books for a long time to come, and that topic is stress tolerance and what is stress. You know, and how do we build resilience for it? This world that we have created is loaded with pressure pain strife trouble strain all those words of stress. Some people are better at responding to life's trials and tribulations. How do they do that? How do some people cope with adversity in a way that better positions them for a good content, or not up, and down the motionlessly driven life, while others of us, like maw appear to struggle more or sometimes get stuck, or in my case and lot of times over my life span. I've gotten stuck. What's the difference? What are other people doing? And what can you do to build more stress tolerance into your life? Even, people who have better skills developed in practiced to deal with stress at some point in their. And for the rest of US many points in our lives.
