"That's right and I think that's one of the things that Bill de Blasio and Shelley knows this better than I do would hope to do which would be to be a leader in this regard but I wanted to ask you about another leader in New York with our governor Kathy hochul has she come out and said anything about this mandate particularly as she's looking to run for governor and she's got some stringent competition on the democratic side for that Sure Soho came out today and said that she supports a local decision So she didn't come out against it She just said I'm going to support and that's kind of her line She did that earlier this month with eerie county county officials A state talking about you can reinstitute a mask mandate because that's all local rule and I want you guys to make your own decisions But there is the political subtext here you have de Blasio who is probably going to run for governor against Kathy hoku who is definitely going to run for governor and this match of who's tougher on COVID is certainly going to come out for de Blasio and people downstate in New York City being tough on COVID is a good thing For people upstate which is locals based it might not necessarily be viewed the same way We're going to talk coming up with the governor of New Hampshire Chris sununu in part about vaccine mandates because I've been kind of compelled by his approach He's actually not pro or con when it comes to mandates He just doesn't think it should be the purview of the government that a business should be allowed to do either Go ahead mandate your employees your customers whatever you do you're the business or don't do one at all but that's not the decision of government here What do you make of that Rick when we're talking about the sort of privacy and legal issues behind all of this Could this stick Yeah not only could it stick but I mean it just points out one of these really important things we have to take away from this entire pandemic which is we've got to shore up our state and federal and local laws related to big public health problems like this I mean this is going to be a reoccurring theme and the rest of our lifetime and generations to come This caught us all by surprise Nobody had any clue what the rights of the individual the employees either in government or in the private sector what rights the government had to institute these kinds of mandates And these are all toolkits to fighting a public health pandemic And so I think that you're going.

"Thank you. It is pretty arrogant. He's pretty full of himself. And he is he does not give us the he does not recognize that we have the freedom of choice. He's all about oh, you have to get vaccinated. You have to get the booster. It's like, really? I love the fact that you're very very open to our freedom of choice. Our liberty should be is everything, Perry, and we have seen Perry. We've seen our freedoms eroded. We're losing our freedoms one by one. These Democrats think that they are their emperors and that they are taking away our freedoms and we're witnessing it. Perry, you got to see this. I got to share this with you. Now, we've already seen the interview with the lady in South Africa who discovered this variant. And she said, it's always seen as mild symptoms. I mean, here's the cover, Perry of the New York Daily News. It's a matter of days de Blasio Warren's omicron is on its way as officials urge masking and vaccine. Are you kidding me?

"Kellogg's diner in Brooklyn, New York is legendary and the owner of Kellogg's diner has decided enough is enough actually she's been pushing back for a while over these insane mandates and leaders elected officials telling people how to live their lives under the guise of welcome on our guest line. Irene syndrome is hiring boy oh boy, you are up against it. You decided to sue Bill de Blasio. You talk about mister smith going to Washington. How about Irene taking on the mayor of New York? I have to. I need to feed my children, Mike. I have to do what I can do to protect my family. You're a single mom of four children and these crazy mandates and restrictions that have put restaurants in the New York City area through such agony. And I've watched it. I witnessed it last winter. I couldn't believe it with people trying to put tense out in the streets with karashi heaters. This whole thing has been a nightmare. So walk us through your story, Irene and tell us why you're challenging New York and tell us how these requirements have impacted Kellogg's diner in Brooklyn. So I first want to let everybody know that I'm not against of this vaccine or any vaccine that can save lives. But I don't want to be forced to take this vaccine or force anybody to take a vaccine. They don't want to put in their body. Now, these mandates, like you asked me, what have they done to me? The first man dates there was no protection put on us. So once these lockdowns were taken off. We started getting suit because we defaulted in our contracts. We couldn't afford all these big rents that we had or these mortgages that we had because we had no business. We were only doing delivery and takeout. We weren't doing the volume that we normally do on without a pandemic happening. Nowhere near it. We're even close to that. All we could afford at the time was food bills and payroll, and if so, like, it was horrendous. I didn't have the option to put tables outside. Very little. I had a little driveway. You know, I'm on top of a train station. I'm on a corner that is so dangerous and intersection. So I didn't even have that option that others also had to even, you know, do some business outside. Right. Everything was just take out and delivery for me. It was very difficult. I now face 1.4 judgment. Against

"David dinkins for those of you who don't remember the dinkins effect is this and it's kicking in right now with the Biden Harris administration He was the first black mayor of New York City He was a Democrat Eric Adams who's the mayor elect now about to take over for de Blasio is the Democrat as well Is going to be the second black mayor of New York City Again I don't give a damn about their skin color but the left is obsessed with it And is a part of the story The left media in New York He left this media which is basically all of the New York media There was radical left as you'll get They were obsessed with this story about dinkins being the first black man I mean it never stop It was like they didn't want to talk about it It was like dinkins was some caricature of a human being they wanted to be It was all about race so if they never want to talk about who think kids was what he wanted to do it was all about this historic but it just went on and on and he was lionized David dinkins Now again his skin color doesn't matter to conservatives but liberals are obsessed with it Everything to them is skin color The problem we think is was he was just terrible He was just a really awful mayor He was really genuinely bad Crime went through the roof The city economy tanked We had the bond market ready to leave Wall Street head over to London It was a disaster It was a mess This I don't think I can describe to you and paint a picture An awful enough terms How bad the city was during the David dinkins era It was so bad he managed to lose to a Republican many of you know Rudolph Giuliani To have a Republican when the mayorship of New York City which was like 8 to one Democrat the Republican Was an earthquake like we'd never seen before But when you saw and you lived the city and lived in the city Folks it was awful It was in a matter of if your car was going to be stolen Forget about broken into 8 cars were just stolen all the time It was like you came outside and you were actually stunned your car was still there You were like oh my gosh 7 days in a row I still got my car This is crazy It was that bad If you walk down the streets in the 7 5 precinct the three two you know certain areas and even in Staten Island It wasn't if you were gonna be mug that was gonna be like am I gonna lose one tooth or 7 Like am I gonna take a beating on this one or you just give up your wallet We need a matter of fact when you got mugged at the bus stop and people used to steal anything from you Money they'd steal like I used to buy wise potato chips Some guy combined ripped the bag out of your hand like that's just the way it was You didn't even file a police report It was just like expected Hey what happened at a Dan Hey mom my mom's name is Judy Hey Jude I didn't call it Jude I called her mom Hey Jude Yeah I came home They stole my wise potato chips in ten bucks Oh that's it Oh great awesome Only ten bucks today That's how bad the city was How does this relate to Harris Biden Because despite the fact that David dinkins became a God to the left being the first black mayor of New York City Folks things got so bad And turned around so quickly when Giuliani got an office that even the left wing media had to eventually say to themselves it's not because they wanted to do the right thing It's because they wanted to save the liberal movement and the Democrat party They eventually had to acknowledge that dinkins was just

On their hands. A huge emergency on their hands. In New York. And what are they going to do? Do you think it's by design, listen to this? Here's an editorial in the post by Jason Johnson. And I read this, Jason Johnson as president of the law enforcement legal defense fund, his former deputy commissioner of the Baltimore police department. And the headline of his article is New York City will pay a huge price for de Blasio's vaccine mandate for police. Now think about this. If almost 40% of the beat cops here in New York City are not vaccinated, and they have to get fired? What do you think that's going to do to public safety in New York? If over 35% of New York firefighters are unvaccinated and they get fired, what will that do to public safety? When there are any firefighters to put the fires out,

"The morning new york. This is the catch roundtable sunday morning. What's going on with this governor. David paterson and no one better than to tell us what the heck is going on the money governor. How are you good morning on. I'm actually up in early I wanna watch a football game at nine thirty. So i'm ready. Wow now to tell us There was a few stories. I was concerned about that in the new york times on friday about changing some of the elite public schools that exist in new york to tell us about it. Well for a long time. People have felt that the gifted encountered programs particularly the ones that start at kindergarten is very hard to test those kids to decide who's gifted and talented. They usually had one test that they took and it kind of governed where they were going to be educated for the rest of the public school experience. Now there were some problems in that system but just like with bail form when you go to fix some of those problems. Sometimes you can destroy the system. So what is going to happen. This here because Mayor defazio wanted to keep the test. He was running against it but he wanted to keep the test. Is that the board. That is supervising this overrule mayor de blasio. And what's going to happen now. Is they're going to have a lottery so there's going to be a lottery to determine who should be in the gifted and talented programs fail miserably man so dumb. I can't believe how dumb that is. I don't is a good word because we can say on the radio. I have some other. That i'm thinking of the reality. Is that when you mix the the classes so much. The giftedandtalented kids at sitting around staring at the ceiling. Because they've already completed the work and the other kids are still struggling to try to complete the work. So that's why you try as much as you can to find tune the education to the capacity of the child to learn it what we want to get rid of is the sort of caste system when you start out that way you know you're in the dumb class or the smart class stuff. They used to say when we went to school. You don't want that but at the same time. You don't want a situation where we're never gonna have any gifted and talented. Bright kids coming out of our schools in america to compete with the kids who are coming out of school from russia and china and just as an example of that. When i was in office. I tried to take four only four of the eighteen state universities and have specialized classes for engineers. Or you know really talented kids in the school and the legislature really gave me a hard time wouldn't do it. Thankfully governor andrew cuomo who succeeded. He was able to put that into effect What else is going on. In new york new yorkers should know about today's sending well. I think that there is still a. We're looking at the possibility of two new people. Running the city and the state Eric adams this week turned down three million dollars of campaign. donations so I guess he thinks he's going to win and Why we turn it down. Just keep keeping the clifford. He could just keep it in the for. But i guess this was sort of like a good government Idea that if you i mean. I don't know anybody really cares when he says it's good government. I i mean it's not even good government. It's kind of like charity. It goes back to the city. Maybe he feels he can use it for something else when he becomes mayor but it was a sort of noteworthy that he did that Courtesy with a republican candidate is traveling around the city but they car. That says curtis cares. He's got some commercials on where he shows himself talking to someone who disrupted one of his press conferences that was reno very effective so You know the the enrollment really favors atoms. And he's the likely winner but that race is still going on and then of course. We have governor kathy local who is hoping to stave off potential challengers and this week. She shut down. The governor's one point two billion dollar what they call the wrong way train That would operate out of queens. So and she also has completed her forty five days. And i was. I had thought of this. She had a forty five day grace period for herself to kind of decide who she wants to work with and who she doesn't and she has opened the gates and put a lot of the cuomo people who were enforcing the toxic atmosphere that existed there Out of the governor's office. And and so i would say that. She still gets high marks and she made an interesting comment on thursday when she said that some people couldn't get vaccinated because they were afraid to get on the subway because there's so many people on them that they're more dangerous that was a pretty brazen and strong comment. It's it's right but usually governors. Don't say that so I think she had a good week. Any notables that you make changes that we would know the names in the last week or something Press secretary who was in. The lieutenant governor's office moved to the governor's office with her. They've assigned that person to another agency. I don't remember that particular name. Larry schwartz who had been secretary to governor cuomo and myself is going to step down from his position as the on the Mta board and I think that just in the last period that those are the those are the notables. I understand there's a lot of rooms around that Governor cuomo may decide to run again to james's thinking about running so many. I mean giamatti williams mayor de blasio and he gut feelings. My gut feeling is if mayor de blasio thought he could get away with it he would run but he's gonna run into a lot of trouble because many of his campaign promises from twenty thirteen in twenty seventeen. We're not so filled But he did win democratic primaries there and if you win the democratic primary for governor you're very likely to become the next governor I i think that tissue. James and kathy hogan of both the same age if tisch james ever wants to be governor of the state of new york. The time to run would be now because it's not. She might wait eight more years. I and by that time she seventy years old. It'd be hard to run for governor at that griego and With governor cuomo. I think that he is going totally in the wrong direction. He still litigating case online. He's writing letters to different people. He's sending notes to Prominent people telling them who he thinks. They should support and certain races. So the idea that he was getting out of politics is certainly not there but i think when he needs is what they call a moment of reflection. Will you have to stop and think about what you did. And maybe what. You didn't do a best example of that. Were president george w bush. Who was you didn't hear him for two years after he left. And then he went on the oprah winfrey show and took tow responsibility for what happened in hurricane. Katrina and jimmy carter. Who's very quiet. After he left and then it's come back to a number of things now at ninety six years old still doing things and you just have to take some time and let what's happened you think in. I don't believe he's doing that. David paterson thank you for everything you've done for state only commonsense and reflect and continue to do that. God bless you. And god bless new york and god bless america. Thank you john Thank you so much listening in tomorrow when you go back on..

"I wish you could see this is Bill de Blasio, the worst The worst mayor in America. Okay, the worst mayor in the entire country he has. He has presided over the destruction of the Golden age of New York City, the largest wealthiest City and in America that the greatest concentration of culture and restaurants and everything else I said concentration. I didn't say the greatest, but there's the most stuff here, and it's ruined. People are fleeing. There's trash everywhere. Crime is up. People are depressed. Real estate is going on sold on rented businesses. They're fleeing. People are fleeing. It's a mess. And what is he doing? Yeah. I just want everybody to know that we're going to have this this program with a lot of minds dancing. And they're gonna be dancing all over because culture, you know, having people in in Like jumpsuits, looking like Teletubbies or something dancing around, you know, wiggling their behinds and doing a little list that well that you know, it's funky. Sort of Blasier wants you to know it's funky. Oh, my gosh. Brewster Mark. Did you see the video? Yes, I did. And my exaggerating the weirdness of it. It's just classic Bill de Blasio. Any time he speaks, It's like this guy, his big program for bringing the city back. Is that have city funded bad dance theater. You know, it's like that's not even though if he were going around, saying we're gonna have like Like, you know, Break dancer Troops go around to perform in public, I'd say all right, that's kind of cool. Actually, no, De Blasio finds a way to make this. It's just so bizarre. The whole thing is so weird. And this is what they're focusing on right now. I mean, it really does look like a bunch of minds. Who are who are stuck inside a box and the mayor of New York City as the minds air. Finding the edges of the box on video is saying, You know, we're gonna break the city back by having this program to bring culture. Our cultural community is the whole thing. Oh, my gosh. What we're seeing is really the destruction of The Democrat, this sort of the Democrat model of city City governance. That's what's happening now. Every can see it now that now that people realize It used to be. I think that your state and local government you would think of as Oh, You know, it's kind of bad everywhere doesn't make that much of a difference. And you just stay where you stay wherever you've got family. Now, people say, Hold on a second. You're telling me that I can live in a place with with lower taxes? Better government services more freedom, less progressivism. Left, well less woke nous. I could just do that like tomorrow if I want to. And, Yep, the answer is yes, and people are leaving. It's gonna be happening all across the country, and it's not going to stop because the pandemic what people have to remember is that California, California and New York Have certain things going for them. And now California's is amazing and beautiful and geographically, there's so much that it's such a lucky place in that regard. But you know, if you wanted to be the entertainment industry, you had to kind of be in l A or at least if you want to be the movie industry, you had to be in L. A And if you want to be in the big boy Cos of Silicon Valley, you know the big time Cos of sale of Silicon Valley. You had to be in the Bay Area of San Francisco and in New York for finance and for her honestly, for news media, there were a lot of careers where New York was the place. But now people are realizing that if you can work from wherever Why not live in a place you like more where your money goes further and where you.

But you see the genocide. You see what they do that the Muslims and the Christians and others. In China. And that's the movement. The black lives matter Embraces. Now one other thing I know this is a sore subject. Somebody's got to talk about it. So I will The rise of anti Semitism in the black community is shocking. Or maybe it's just coming to the fore. Whether it is what certain football players and basketball players have to say about Jews. I don't want ESPN anymore. And I'm wondering, do the sportscasters and ESPN and the X jocks who are sportscasters. Now do they walk off stage when they learn about beady about the black lives matter in their anti Semitism? I don't think they do. You walk off the set. The mayor's de Blasio. Bowser and others in these cities. Paint black lives matter, BLM on their streets. Are they embracing the anti Semite? And you could hear is we could here in Washington. The Jew hating comments. I've told you this before. If you hate America, hate Israel Feel hate is really a hate Americans. Just the way it goes down pretty much. How many stories have you seen on on ESPN or CNN or MSNBC? And I'll even add by my beloved Fox. When the anti Semitism that's taking place. You understand that the man that Joe Biden met today. A father. Of the man who was shot. In Kenosha, Wisconsin. Did you read the things that he had to say about juice? And Christian. They're barbaric. Joe Biden met with him. Why did Joe Biden meet with him? What was the point of meeting with the father? "De Blasio, by the way, is also admitting out loud that he kind of bypassed that whole permit process that regular people have to go to go through. If they want to have any kind of painting on public sidewalks, streets, so it's OK for him to just bypass. We don't need no stinking permits, he actually said out loud. Ah, anyone can. Well, I need to find his exact quote. Yeah, he said. This is something that again transcends normal realities, Thisa, Way, said. Because we're in a moment of history when that had to be said and done. It's a decision I made. But the normal process continues for anyone who wants to apply for a permit to put other murals up. He transcends normal reality. He does right now, he said, I actually because he said that because he's admitted only that he skirted that whole process. There are now groups who are pro Trump, who are suing them are suing him and saying once you let one public or one Political speech be made in this manner. You're opening it up to you because you've bypassed the rules. Exactly Right. It's like, what's good for me. Does it matter about you? I don't care about you because my political beliefs you know, trumps yours. Blasio's political beliefs don't require permit than me to do anybody else. Exactly. I hope they sue the crap out of them. And I hope they win. And I hope it's they just need to get all all the mirrors all the all the magazine. You're old. I hope they get him in New York City. This is fantastic. But Governor Murphy is allowing a number of indoor facilities to reopen tomorrow, including casinos, bowling alleys, museums and our cage along the Jersey Shore Governor Murphy, describing this as another cautious step forward the indoor activities permitted with restrictions on capacity. Also, things like amusement parks can reopen being outdoors. Officials say the risk of spreading covert 19 Is diminished. Nearly every type of outdoor activity will have been green lighted indoors. "Thanks mark. Thanks for calling. Take Care Let's go to Vincent Vincent. Good Morning MOC MOC. There's a big difference in how police treat you. In the United States especially in these big liberal blue cities like New York in this Maniac Mirror Minneapolis who have used the police departments of these cities as social experiments, their more concerned with getting diversity but diversity where a lot of times you getting people who are too short, who overweight who even may have mental problems like this cop? Obviously add mopped. I've been tossed in new. York City in California and. And when I was torched in Italy by the real inside Lingo there, he's been tossed. Not. What you know what I mean, mock I. Know! Would I mean ma? I've been even slip searched by the secret police. In Italy I've got who went to get hazard pay for? Machine guns in their arms and everything mock. I was always treated in Italy whenever something happens like that Mr, so and so do this Mr so and so do that Mr so and so do this. Where is here a one time? My girlfriend is driving my car. My sports car because I had a little too many drinks and I was my birthday. We got stopped. The cops were bulk loaded mark. Let me preface this by saying. There's bad apples in every bunch. Yes, unfortunately I really think they could do a greatest square psychological screening of a lot of these. Stopped concentrating on getting the most diverse police force like the Joe, says get the best, not the most diverse. In this case. This wasn't a diversity from, but this cops are bad. Copies got ten prior incidents of terrible ridiculous violent stuff amy Klobuchar was the prosecutor declined to prosecute on one of them. It's just awful Vincent? Have you ever had you on anybody's neck? Dancer. But that guy was clearly. Clearly in the wrong, also people are saying why didn't deplete? Why didn't anybody bystanders do anything? Did you see the guys partner? If you to tried to do anything, they would've turned around them and put a cap in your. What do you go? What are these people crazy? You can't. You can't interfere. Those showed you i. mean as you said people had voice recordings on your cell phones of saying I mean Malone. He's human. Put Him in the car. The Guy clearly did everything in the wrong and I mean I've had police. Police to come into bust me. They were drunk there rather their birds Bach. All Right Vincent thanks for calling always always interesting talking to Vincent. Seem, to have had a lot of incidents with police coming to get him in. Many countries of the world. so again I don't know how if you're listening. We have listeners all over. You're listening to Minneapolis I. Don't know how you got stuck with this mayor. This is the worst mayor of ever seen. You know in the worst tragedies. And the most awful nightmare tragedies in America. There's always somebody that's happy. unifrance nine eleven when that occurred. You know who was happy. There was a congressman Gary Condit. You remember him. Gary. Condit had an intern who suddenly found dead in the woods, and he was being blamed turned out later. He didn't, but he looked like he was going to get arrested. That's all it was a main story on the news. Everywhere you turn for days, and suddenly nine eleven, and the story vantage never heard from again. This horrifying story here you know who's happy, Karen in Central Park. It got her off the news. Everybody forgot about it and it's gone. It wiped off the news. You won't hear about it again for weeks. Also who's Happy Mayor De Blasio? Average joked about him being the worst mayor in America. It looks like Churchill compared to this ridiculous clown in Minneapolis. it. It's a horrible nightmare. Hopefully. These guys will get arrested very soon hopefully over the weekend. "Yesterday New York Mark Simone on W. O. Lots to get to this hour lunch to talk about It's Friday I know that you can't tell anymore it's all a blur It's Friday it's the end of. May it's hard to believe it's GONNA be June on Monday But we've probably got another couple of weeks of this As you said Mayor de Blasio is wants to work with business owners and help you. Nobody's been worse for business than Bill De Blasio. Nobody's been more of a nightmare for businesses especially small businesses than Cuomo. The blasios their taxes regulations. Interfering with every now he wants to help to help you get reopened. Part of the problem is they've got no plan to what they're doing. Mayor de Blasio has admitted. He's got no plan. No guidelines nothing On how to reopen Governor Cuomo as I mentioned he's talking to some he's put together a panel of international experts. Don't even know what the hell that means. you'll get Chicago which is usually not very well run. They put out guidelines for how to reopen detailed guidelines. Twenty pages if you're a restaurant. Here's the steps to take. Here's the protocols for the kitchen the table you don't just go on a website copy that just print that out and use that or. How hard is it? Connecticut Connecticut has done a great job. They've been open Nine days now in Connecticut and people have been eating in the restaurants going into stores and the number of cases dropping not increasing. There's no problem just whatever Connecticut's doing just follow it just copied especially for Long Island. Long Island should be duplicating Connecticut. Pretty similar kind of suburban setting. You can do it there. Westchester Connecticut Pretty Much. The same thing. Westchester County Fairfield County so Westchester. Just do it Connecticut soon. How complicated is this? So how long do you think of a? Would you say July fourth after the fourth of July weekend we'll be back to Eighty percent normal. I would think so although you know I don't really have much faith in the mayor Like you said I mean wh what is he doing to get ready here and businesses? They got no guidance other than his little briefings. So Joe Bartlett says South Carolina where they've been open for of weeks he goes to restaurants. You know you go in the restaurant And I talked to people in Florida. Last night. They've been going to restaurants The menu is on paper. It's disposable and but the restaurants if you use an actual dishes and glasses not paper plates and all that. Yeah no absolutely went to dinner. Last night was fine. You're not the least bit nervous about this. Nope don't nobody. Should wait staff have had they have a mask on and they try to stay far away from you so you know again. I I don't see there. There's a danger in eating outside now. I'm not ready to go inside any restaurants at the moment but outside. You touching everything. We'll monitor him for another six or seven days. That'll be fourteen days if he's okay. I got like nine people. I know Eating out at restaurants in Florida and Connecticut. I keep calling him every couple of days. Hey how you doing? How's everything is feel fourteen days? It's GONNA make sure they're okay. They suddenly think I love them. Because I'm calling every couple of days to check what's the fourteen days up then. Maybe maybe maybe this weekend I'll get up the nerve. Hey this nightmare in Minnesota you know this finishes Amy Klobuchar. She is no longer a vice presidential possibility because she has blood on her hands. In this Nightmare in Minneapolis. She was the prosecutor for years. And this cop. What's his name Devon He'll van or something like that. Devon Chauvet whatever his name he'll be world famous that name you'll never forget that name As it gets arrested all of that. He's a horrible cup. You know you talk to a veteran cops have been on the force. Thirty of the same thing never fired my gun and never pulled my gun in thirty. Look at this cops record. He pulled his gun a billion times. He shot people. He's been in a one violent incident after another and one of them were. He Shot People. The prosecutor was amy Klobuchar. Who declined to prosecute? Let HIM GO I. I don't know how she's Ever GonNa answer for that now. She has democratic immunity. She has liberal privilege so she won't be questioned by the New York Times. Cnn or any of that. I have a feeling you won't see her for a while. You know she's running around doing these interviews feeling. You won't see you for a few weeks to this. Particular part of the story blows over but she was the prosecutor who declined to prosecute this cop in the past now Not just her. There's a few others because this guy had ten incidents have no idea how he remained on the force although if you see the Minnesota Minneapolis Mayor on TV. Kind of get an idea. This is the worst mayor I've ever seen de Blasios must thank God that this. Minneapolis mayor showed up because the Blasios no longer looks like the worst mayor in America. This Minneapolis. Mayor is a twitching shaking. You've seen the guy right and it doesn't look like we're acting college kid or something or things control. No IT'S A. He's a messy scruffy looking guy with his shirt hanging out he looks like he's twelve. He's like He should be a protest or somewhere you know. He's looks like he's running around looking for a safe space Can't forgot how this guy got to be mayor. He's an absolute disaster. Has No control of the situation. You gotTA governor looks a little better. By the way they're both Democrats. You never hear that mentioned that democratic mayor it's a democratic governor Every whenever there's a story somehow they cut in a piece of President. Trump is if he's connected to this It's this mayor. It's hits police. His policies his training his Prosecutors his everything in the governor totally responsible for this and again blame Amy Klobuchar. Who let this cop go in the past declined to prosecute them other times. Where shot somebody or killed somebody? Horrible COP Hopefully he'll be arrested I I wha what would you guess Monday? Oh Yeah can't wait when they can't wait for this. Yeah I mean the only reason rest of immediately you gotTa have everything Correct you know. Cross every T. dot every I just to make sure everything's done correctly the FBI's there a huge team was sent from Washington the US attorney there is on the so the charges Should be local. You should be prosecuted by local authorities for this crime Wouldn't trust this mayor in his government to get anything done correctly so if for some reason they'll get it done right away. The federal government will do it The FBI and the US attorney will prosecute these guys It's the COP in this Three other cops. You see him with his knee on the guy's neck but if you see shot from the other side at behind the car to other cops hold misguide down. So they're just as guilty and there's a fourth cup standing there a watching guarding them so they can do this. He's going to go at some point. there's no possible defense for this. Nothing no possible defense. A lot of these cases you say well. Where do you see all the evidence weighed you? Look at the waiting. See wait till you hear the nothing. Wait for here. Nothing guilty is can be worse cop ever in the history of America You'll become the poster boy for all of this stuff forever. He will live in infamy by the time they're done with him. So is there a death penalty in that state in Minnesota? I don't know I'm not sure this is not an was not a deliberate murder. You Know I. Don't he get murder? Second degree or manslaughter not deliberate. Because it's I mean maybe if he did it for ten seconds he didn't realize it was going to kill the guy but he's he's got his Knee on the guy's neck at a spot where you can kill people and it's there for eight minutes and you see his other foot come out off the ground which means he's got all his weight on his knee. Could you do that for eight minutes? And not think you're GONNA kill somebody. Nah No that's a long time and you can see some of those videos..

you've been getting from the city may start to slip a little anywhere this does take some calls go to Jack and Boston Hey Jack how you doing mark hello now holding a lawyer Joe very you know general Flynn's ordeal and the president's ordeal of course all fake news but this is a bigger a bigger story I got as you enjoy something do you guys get sick in the stomach whatever you hear the Democrats all the fake news media talking about I'm not talking about general Flynn and not talking about the Russian hoax because this was an attempted coup welcome to New York and I'll buy you enjoy the best talk about the crew for the holding area well he was what you're gonna see in Blaine hand counts I don't think I should go to South Carolina because Joe says he'd love to have dinner with you act so we can try and find me well yeah that was that the general Flynn situation is so ridiculous and I love the way there's nobody dirty or slow easier than Adam Schiff and Jerry that I love the way they both chimed in yesterday this is a S. carriage of justice and William Barr's corrupt wait'll you see the documents that are coming out not so much now because that was totally irrelevant I put I was is calling for a federal investigation of the situation yeah it's a dual sim there clearly was a dumb order from governor Cuomo it's not a crime I'm sure it was just complete stupidity lack of after planning and good management it was idiotic he'll pretend that it wasn't him and he is you know you just remember that corruption in Albany we now started forming a commission I'll investigate this the Moreland commission sues a certified if you close the right down so this is a this is a terrible situation he his administration ordered the nursing homes to take corona virus patients in ridiculous he had an empty Javits center with three thousand empty beds he had the comfort get plenty of places he could put these people but instead he ordered the nursing homes to take him they are in no way equipped to control infection it's spread to the nursing homes and killed thirty five hundred senior citizens he you watch the a briefing acts like he's just hearing about this go back and look at his March order ordering the nursing homes to do it his name is right at the top of the order his name's right there on the page and the health commissioner so he's fully responsible you'll pretend it's not him but the problem is there could be a federal investigation of it George Pataki will be all over does nothing criminal on the part of income but it was just bad management and stupidity hopefully nothing like that will happen again let's go to robin White Plains Hey rob how you doing how are you good long time listener love your show usually we with you actually I agree of what I was saying was if you're the Democratic Party if you the Democrats he is the most red hot guy in the world right now for Democrats is the best or true they got nobody is hotter right now the democratic world than him why would you make Menomonie the great maplestory no but don't tell them they don't know that his act doesn't play in the middle of America but exactly that system column "So Charlie Build Blasio that in the news this week with the tweet warning the Jewish community and other communities but especially the Jewish community that They had fair warnings and now they and NYPD is GonNa come and get him summons and arrest them if they continue to have the gatherings higher than recommended the proximate cause of this tweet was a civic civic funeral and Brooklyn. What do you make of it? Are you GonNa? It's an odd tweet. I think it was oddly. Phrased the presumptions odd from what I understand. That funeral was given permission to go ahead. And those that broke. The rules were knowledged and indeed apologize full by its organizes. I am not one who likes to throw words around. Big Anti Semite Racist. Let's people exist. They do it is of course a hideous thing that there are some among us who hate other space on their immutable characteristics. But I don't think biolog- that your average person in America hobbies hatred towards his fellow man and I think build a buzzy does either. I do think that he ought to rethink how he communicates especially given world history in this area and I think that there's a certain double standard here. I did wonder when I saw that. Tweet how long it would have taken had say. Donald Trump tweeted it to see the mushroom clouds on the horizon. We would probably have talked about nothing else for days but that would have been because the press and the Democratic Party would have overreacted. And I don't want to overreact here against Bill de Blasio. What I do want to do is to bury bill de Blasio as an effective public official. He's not one. He's a poor mayor. He's a poor communicator. He's not strong thinker. He hasn't handled this well. And it seems to me that if bill de Blasio the mayor of different city if he were the mayor of say. Houston all boise or Jacksonville. He would be pilloried day in day out and all sorts of conclusions would be drawn about his leadership. He is the worst. Man Yorkers had for a long time he showed signs of being that right from the beginning I think it was in the first few months of his first administration that he royally screwed up the snow plowing in the streets. Much to the Chagrin of New Yorkers. He is not up to this task and I think rather than sharing anything particularly sinister rather than implying. That de Blasio is an anti Semite or a racist or a bigot. Which I don't think he is. I think this shows that he's out of his depth and he doesn't know how to address people in what is a crisis. Unfortunately we have too much of that at all levels at the moment so I think there's something a little odd here that there's almost a hidden mental distinction that people like to Blasi. Oh Meek Me This is. This is my own form of of paranoia but some of the background. An anger is that you know New York City has about one over million Jewish people living in it. This funeral that was broken. Up was on a a more ultra-orthodox group And forgive me if I don't use the correct terminology. At every step along the way and characterizing them but These members of these ultra Orthodox groups especially in Brooklyn have been subject in New York City to a lot of random street violence It'S ACTUALLY NOT RANDOM. It's their targeted by You know often of members of other racial minorities in the city who don't like choose or who don't like the way. Jewish businesses operate in Brooklyn. Or the way you know heavily. Jewish apartment blocks are operated. I don't know but there's been a simmering anger at de Blasio for not calling this out and dealing with it effectively And it's very sensitive. I think the Distinction de Blasio makes with ultra-orthodox Jews. And I think it's one that's that's held in other incidents is that well there are Jews and you know the people that populate even the Dubois Zeo Administration in in the mayoralty that are secular. And then there's this other group that is cordoned off as kind of ultra religious freaks. Whose behavior is in some way unaccountable. Or you know. Somehow those people deserve what they get and So I don't think when he was formulating that tweet he was thinking about you. Know Jews writ large but I think he was thinking in the smaller category of you know people who live differently In New York City live in a way. That's visibly a noticeably different in New York City And that are you know. Kind of a constant source of negotiation with police and with You know various bodies the administration so I think something like was informing this event and But it was an ugly thing to tweet and deserves pretty much all the criticism. He's getting for it It was thoughtless and it's also just disrespectful because this this group did try to organize with police For their funeral and In the police allowed the situation to get out of hand the fact that NYPD doesn't respect bill de Blasio is not new. That's been true since he was elected in fact they actively loathe him and so probably didn't feel like imposing his edicts on Some very well behaved members of the community in general so it was a totally avoidable incident But blasi deserves just about everything. That's happening to him. Charlie Cook exit to you and sheer political terms who has fared worse in the Krona Virus Crisis Bill De Blasio or Donald Trump Belda blasios probably but trump may may pay greater price for it in that trump is running for president in a few months. Bill De Blasio was already done med. I'm I mean the trump because I think he I think trump is rapidly heading towards I think he's almost heading towards lame duck status In that the administration has been slow on so many sectors of this crisis has promised so many things that have just not materialized. I mean remember the promise of testing centers outside of every Walmart and target This was a promise made in the White House lawn and just disappeared as vaporware and it seems like more little crises are going to happen including meat shortages. And I just don't think a president can get reelected when basic necessities are rationed and And there are shortages. So I'M GONNA say trump agree that the trump having a bad and political terms crisis more consequential stakes are higher For him I think de Blasios had worst one. I mean. He's been at. The very epicenter of this was late at every single. Turn and then has also overreacted. Then and absurd ways. I have sympathy shutting down the schools telling people. Subways aren't safe. Those really hard things to do and things that I think anyone is certain level would hesitate to do but he got those calls wrong but trump clearly has been hurt. There is at rally around the flag period where it wasn't a huge rally around the flag but a notable rally round the flag fact whereas approval rating was up. He's giving back those gains and some more Just because the response was late Initially and he's been shooting himself in the foot At press briefings. And it's just a a major red flashing light when you're the president United States during crisis and people think your opponent would be better suited to handle that crisis and especially when you're ponant is Joe Biden Sitting as basement impressing no-one otherwise so let's pause and let me do a quick and our plus plug got. So Michael has been a while since we've talked about Russia gate related things but we're now and in the phase where we're having revelations important revelations about what was going on behind the scenes and we've had several over the last week having to do with. Michael Flynn case has special. A WE saw yesterday recording. Thursday afternoon these notes from an FBI. Agent strategizing About the the Flynn interview. They're going to undertake after his phone. Call with Russian ambassador. Kislyak where he says Goal here you WanNa get the truth slash And mission or do we want to try to get him to lie so we can charge him or get him fired. And there's been indications that that just wasn't a much of a product yet for an investigation here obviously the Logan Act which hasn't been seriously some something like eighteen fifty two completely absurd and it seems. There's a chance that Astonishingly given that. Flynn actually pled guilty to lying to the FBI that his his Plea could be given back to him. And the Justice Department light withdraw this case what he make they should withdraw the case I think the note I think. Some people in our sphere. Maybe over exaggerating the contents of that note. Which was obviously you know. Leaked to in no favourable people in the media in order to prepare us for either a change in flint status or for some kind of pardon Which by the way I think he deserves. I mean I'm not the biggest. Flynn Fan on Earth. But the note in question gives us a glimpse into precisely what Charlie Cook Has Been Warning about since the beginning of this investigation that there's a sense in which Federal Investigations are opened up and the whole point becomes not the substance of an investigation but attempts to get the subjects of them to trip up in an interview and then charge them with obstruction or perjury at some point And that this is not just a waste but this is unjust and You know we're seeing it that note reflects I don't think it reflects the author of the notes intention to do these things but in it certainly reflects his suspicion that other colleagues do intend something like this and he's raising question to we you know. What is the goal here and The the the goal of an investigation should be to get to the truth and to punish a wrongdoer for doing wrong not for eating its own tail So yeah I mean I look forward to more more leaks like this coming out. I mean I even thought that one previously showing that intelligence sources knew that the steele dossier contain Russian. Disinformation I thought that was also telling it was exactly what I expected to happen But I'm glad that the truth is getting out that you know. This country was a portion of it was sentenced these paroxysms of paranoia that a foreign government had somehow compromise the president and other members of his administration. And now we're finding out that you know. This case was mostly. People projecting their own shadows and suspicions onto the wall. And and that was just about it. Kelly Cook I think if the charitable interpretation of that note is correct new. May well be then. It's a disgrace. Interpretation of that note is correct. Then it's sufficient cause for the abolition of the FBI and possibly for a revelation. I do not..

"Next stop yesterday. I talked quite a bit about the elusive one million donor mark which is a huge deal shortly after I stepped out of the recording booth Senator Bernie Sanders crossed that Mark Mark Essiet predicted sanders now has more than one million unique people in the US donating to his campaign and what's more many of them have donate multiple times. There's not a whole lot more that we know right now except that the campaign did say at least one hundred twenty five thousand of those donors have have recurring monthly donation set up. This is essentially hinting sanders. We'll have a good Q. Three fundraising result and saying it nice and loud before Q. Three even encloses at the end of this month even if his top line number isn't the biggest in the field. He's likely to have a massive grassroots base and if he has both well. That's an even bigger deal. Now I do want to read you one little bit from the end of a politico story by Holly Autobahn put this all in perspective quote according to Sanders Age the top employers of his donors are starbucks. Walmart and Amazon and the most common profession is teacher in counties that voted for President Donald Trump after supporting Barack Obama the biggest employers are walmart the US Postal Service and target the sanders. Here's campaign said in two thousand eight. Obama reached the one million mark in late February in his first campaign for the White House. Sanders is campaign campaign said he received donations from one million people by early January and quote so just to make that clear sanders has reached one million in donors by September of the year before the election in the previous election cycle he reached that milestone in January of the actual election in here by contrast Obama hit that number in late February of his actual winning election year so sanders is beating Obama himself himself in all of these metrics and currently by a lot.

"From booker. Here's Today from the campaign trail this morning. New York City Mayor Bill De Blasio dropped out of the presidential race he went on MSNBC's morning joe to make that announcement. Let's listen to that brief clip here so getting out there being able to hear. People's concerns addressed them with new ideas. It's been extraordinary experience but I have to tell at the same time I feel like I've contributed all I can to this primary election and it's clearly not my time so I'm going to end in my presidential campaign continue my work as mayor of New York City and keep speaking up for working people now as with all major candidates who drop out. Let's look back at some highlights from that. The blasios campaign first off announced on May sixteenth of this year which was very late the only two Democratic candidates. I'm tracking who announced insulator are Joe SESTAK and Tom Steyer. De Blasios spent just one hundred twenty seven days in the race in an article for New York magazine Margaret Hartman summed up the New York perspective on the race quote despite a list of progressive accomplishments in New York such as universal pre-k and raising the minimum wage to fifteen dollars. Here's what to blasios contributed to the primary race was mainly an opportunity to make jokes about the wild unpopularity of his presidential bid in the months before the mayor announced just campaign everyone from former aides to his own wife expressed doubts about his run in April a Quinnipiac poll found seventy six percent percent of New Yorkers felt he should not launch a twenty twenty campaign with only eighteen percent supporting the idea these reservations proved well-founded did after he entered the race to Blasi consistently pulled around zero to one percent and he had little chance of qualifying for the October debate a Sienna College poll released three days ago go had to Blasio at zero percent among voters in both New York City and New York state end quote and out so I'm going to pick one solid highlight from de Blasios campaign in a CNN townhall on August Twenty Fifth Blasios gave an excellent answer to a question about immigration Russian reading here from my own script next day. Quote a student named joy asked him the question quote wouldn't a guaranteed right to healthcare including undocumented immigrants only in of is more undocumented immigrants to come to the United States and quote to Blasi. Oh thank the student for asking the question and in a a gentle way proceeded to reject its premise and explain what he called quote our actual reality and quote he went on to describe how president trump's rhetoric around immigration gratien creates a perception of immigrants as an invading force that somehow takes away from other citizens de Blasios reject that premise and gets into specifics about what he thinks the real problem is end quote and here is that clip what we should do is make sense of this American reality rather than try into curse the darkness. Let's light a single candle and I say not only do we need the competence of immigration reform with a pathway to citizenship we also. I need a guest worker program to recognize this huge. Swath America did not have enough people to do work. That's needed for our economy and we could make sense of that with a guest worker program and we can have an open and honest conversation but actually get to the heart of joys question. We have to acknowledge the really horrible politics underlying underlying this that for decades. There's been an effort to demonize immigrants. It's been all about color remember Donald Trump literally first day of his campaign. Am Pain attacked Mexican Americans and described them as criminals as an entire population so this has always been about race and it should not be but it has been if we recognize that there's many many people in this country who happened to be American citizens. Many of them happened to be white who they themselves are legitimately struggling. They're American dreams not working out. There economically challenged the next generations not doing as well as I hope. They have a lot outta debt. There's a lot of problems in their lives. They're frustrated. I don't blame them for being frustrated but they've been told for years and years the immigrants did it to him and I WANNA be blunted by the immigrants didn't do that to you. Wall Street did that to you. The big corporations to you. The guy in the kitchen or the guy didn't have the power to do that to you. Only those who had the power and wealth concrete an economy so unfair to work in people in middle class last people so once we unmask that truth and I think we should all speak that truth with energy then we can answer the rest of the equation. Why do I think it's important to give healthcare fair to human beings who are part of our communities because they're human beings if you don't give them health care air they'll get sick. Everyone else gets sick and then they will seek healthcare where what we talked about before in the emergency room and guests to pay for it anyway all all of us. Why are we stopped the fiction and help our fellow human beings who are part of our American reality in an article for NBC News to Blasi explains in his own words why he is leaving the race and offer some advice to the remaining candidates reading from that article quote? I promise I'll fight for New Yorkers and workers everywhere everywhere to ensure. There's an actual plan to protect their livelihood from being automated out of existence. I'll also help ensure. Our party continues to be remade. He made in the image of the activism. I've seen all across this nation. Democrats must return to our roots party focused on bold solutions that speak to the concerns of working people if we do not we will lose in twenty twenty. Yes Donald Trump lies to working people but he at least pretends to talk to them. that may be enough for him to win if we do not constantly make it clear that the. Democrats are the party of everyday Americans in rural counties and urban urban centers the coasts and the heartland end quote.

"De Blasio was in Las Vegas last weekend shaking hands with voters and he mows over his run for the White House. Former vice president Joe Biden has not yet announced he's joining the democrat residential field. But he's widely expected to run in recent days. Of course, several women have come forward accusing by of unwanted touching in sports. There was a tribute to George and Barbara Bush at minute maid for the season home opener last night. They played as again today on sports talk seven ninety five. Oh. Coming up and tonight, red raiders in the final four against Michigan state. They play after the Auburn Virginia game news on demand to KTAR H dot com. I'm Sally Adams on Houston's news, weather and traffic station. Newsradio seven forty KTAR h. Had. Nothing to do. Money, and we are back. This is money matters with Ken moraif. And of course, I am your host Ken moraif. Thank you, Jack. I have been a certified financial planner professional for the last twenty marvelous wonderful and very exciting years. And all of the ideas that we talk about on this show. These are the same ideas that we talk about with our beloved and most valued clients, and since we are a firm that specializes in retirement planning, our clients are mostly people who are over fifty who are retired or retiring soon and financial times named our financial advisory firm moneymatters, one of the top three hundred registered investment advisers for the second time, actually. Yeah. That was quite an honor. I have to say, and of course, without our clients. We would be absolutely nowhere. So I give that to our clients in its entirety. Who a kiss I like it. All right. So speaking of giving wonderful gifts to somebody that you love. Let's talk about our beloved spouses, and let's talk about social security for spouses. So if you have a question with regard to social security, and you know, I'll endeavor to answer it on the air. So if you want to Email me my Email addresses can at moneymatters dot net can at moneymatters dot net. So here's the question. I am fifty eight my wife is currently sixty three and she turned sixty two before the end of two thousand fifteen now that's important because there are strategies that are no longer available. If you're not sixty two before the end of two thousand fifteen they changed the laws. All right. So to repeat I am fifty eight wife is sixty three she turned sixty two before two thousand fifteen. All right. So we are both high earners. Congratulations are old strategy was as follows why would file and suspend at sixty nine allowing me to claim spousal benefits based on her record at age sixty six. All right. So she would file against him and suspend her benefits who would take against his and then wait till she seventy to start collecting and he start collecting it sixty six. All right. So we both then would claim are maximized earnings benefits at age seventy so based on the best set of facts and the changes to the laws and claiming rules. What is our best approach? Now. Well, unfortunately, you will fall under the new rules. So even though why is old enough? She will not be able to file on your application for her spousal benefit when she turned sixty six because you will not have filed your benefit. Okay. Now, you could file early. But generally, that's not a good idea. So your circumstances may say it's okay to do that. But you could file early which case she could. But barring that it's best that you don't. Okay. So maximizing benefits for any couple that falls under the new rules the new law. All right. We'll mostly be a matter of delaying their benefits because they will not be able to use allies utilize spousal benefits. So the only exception. Under the new law is when the lower earnings spouse's benefit is less than fifty percent of the higher earning spouse. Okay. So without knowing what you guys are earning. I can't answer your question on that. So when you send me questions when I ask you to do, please give me your earnings, give me more information. So I can be more specific in my answer. Now, the key thing that you have to know there is that there are according to the social security website. This is this is actually funny because I used to say there are over eight thousand ways to file social security in a lizard emailed, me and said, that's BS. There's no eight thousand different ways. So then I went went on the social security website and social security themselves said, oh, yeah. Well, there's nine thousand one hundred ways. So I thought there were only eight thousand silly me. So. Yeah. Gomer the saw I really admire our government. They have a propensity for creating complexity that is like unbelievable. They should win the Academy Award of complexity, but anyway, there are nine thousand one hundred different ways to file for social security, depending on your age, depending on your income. It does so many variables and your which one of those nine thousand one hundred is yours. I don't know without having your information. So and if you pick the wrong one nine thousand nine nine thousand ninety instead of nine thousand nine hundred ninety two then you pick the wrong one you could leave hundreds if not thousands of dollars on the table and over your lifetime. It could be tens of thousands. So you need to pick the right one. How do you do that? You gotta talk to somebody that understands his stuff in my opinion. All right. So here's what you do you go to our website. It's money matters dot net. Moneymatters dot net and click on meet with an adviser. And when you do that, we'll schedule a time to visit now I just want to preface this by saying our goal is not to just talk about social secure-. Pretty with you. Okay. "Zero nine two eight seven seven and talking about the healthcare proposal, you know, at the press commerce yesterday, obviously officials from the health and hospitals corporation, which will be the source for where this new care will come from spoke. And it's interesting bespoke a lot in last year's about Nitra, but another public system that kind of hit a big crisis de Blasio was health and hospitals, partly because of the Affordable Care Act and the way that changed hospital finance the mayor had to inject a lot of money to keep it afloat. It's still plans to adjust a lot of money. The city does over over the next few years. What was your impression turns the answer the city gave about the capacity of that system to handle the new customers that might becoming the door. If this plan reaches the six hundred thousand folks, the mayor the mayor spoke about. I have to say I a lot of the other reporters of the room were shocked yesterday to hear sort of a lot of good news coming out of health and hospitals in a very short period of time. You know, the mayor alluded to the fact that that the held anonymous corporation all of a sudden is in a much better situation in terms of cash flow. The wait time have dropped dramatically from about three months if the primary care physician earlier this year to one to two weeks. It seems like there's a real story brewing hoping all stills of of kind of a turnaround. You know, and if what everybody was saying yesterday is true. It sounds like the bulls will at some point be prepared to care for all of the people..
