"Conventional wisdom. Will take. The Bears is a home underdog with three points against the Vikings. The Vikings have been amazing the last few weeks, the Bears appear to be leaking oil. That'll all change tomorrow night. Take the barest plus three. But I will not need the points. I will not need them. So you got my picks for the week. There's air. My free. Luscious locks. Rams minus 2.5, dolphins minus 1.5 and bears, plus three They go on the John Kincaid show on CBS sports Radio. There's your luscious locks and I will continue my winning streak. Get back into this thing. There is a there's an NFL owner who is paranoid about something and I think that I'm not. I think that I'm not being fair when I portray it like that, So let me reward it. There's an NFL owner who I believe Is overstating the threat. Of E Sports. His name is Arthur Blank. Arthur Blank, the owner of the Atlanta Falcons, grateful and therapist in the Atlanta area and a tremendous owner as far as making sure that every player every part of the organization has first class opportunities succeed. I've observed it up close for roughly 18 years of Mr Blanks Tenure, The man is first class first class. But he was being interviewed, and he does not like e sports. Parts of blank doesn't like it. In my personal view, he says. It's my personal view is sitting in front of one of those electronic video game kind of things where you have to develop the skill set for X number of hours a day is just not in keeping with what I think is the best part of a healthy young mind growing up. And I believe I believe I agree with Arthur Blank. But he also feels it's a threat to his business model. He believes less player less young people are going to fall into the fold of being sports fans of going out two games and experiencing going out to a game in the future. I don't know where he gets that. Don't buy that for a second. I don't think people are going to stop going out two games because they're playing e sports at home. I believe that's going to keep people away from stadiums. I believe high prices. Believe length of games. Going on too long. With today's shorter attention spans things like that Those kind of things may be a threat. But I don't see East sports is a threat. I personally can tell you one thing, and I can see this with definitive, firsthand knowledge. I will never sit down to watch someone play a video game. I know that my boy Shack man, Mr Shaquille O'Neal. He's a genius when it comes to business. Shack knows it. Shack doubted e sports as a as a business model, and then shack became Owner of any sports team. And he's involved with the sports, and he's tried to sell me on the importance of the sports moving forward. And yes, I think there is a niche for it. I think it has its own little knee shit's the It's got a segment of the sports society that will be really into it. I also don't believe that it's something that is going to cost professional sports to go down the tubes in East sports is going to overtake it. This sounds a lot to me like the soccer folks. Soccer guy, you know, soccer guy? And guess what? There's no mocking soccer soccer. In many markets, like here in Atlanta is incredibly huge. It's it's a huge success. And young people love to play it. What the problem is is since I was a child, I mean, Elementary school when Pele was crashing onto the American scene with the New York Cosmos. I've been told that the next big thing in this country's professional soccer Soccer is going to take over some other sports. I was told at the time that that was also gonna happen with NASCAR. It never happened. And it's not going to happen. Sports may be huge. And may become big business and you maybe even get a college scholarship for it. But taking over professional sports, no No. Very much like soccer. I'll be hearing about that 40 years from now. I'm going to be doubting it even then, let's get to my closing argument. You had your say. Now. John has his closing arguments here on the JK Show on CBS Sports Radio. It's been a fun show tonight and a sprint. We really did get a lot done today in a short period of time, and I appreciate everybody who was a part of it. Let me tell you. This is that one thing we learned is that Heather damage We started the show with us from ESPN, she said. I just want to share with you on Friday night, she said. It's one share you this week in college football sucked. Well, Heather, I'm going to share with you that Saturday did not Saturday was absolutely awesome. It was fantastic because you know what? 15 games being canceled? Yeah, that's a problem. That's that's a bump on the road. That's.

"Text find it seven zero four seven zero and I'm actually pretty surprised by this but seventy one for example B. B. I totally agree with you I disagree with Michelle Carter should not have gone to prison at all did you watch last night's seventy one I'd be wondering nine seven a baby I was stunned by all the texts she sent to the victim's family knowing that he was dead I don't get they I thought going in last night while I was on I don't want to go too much on this I know your bridge but I thought they were going to try and painter sympathetically they did the opposite that first episode you would think that's I think a lot less of her now than I did and I didn't think that was possible this was her finding Neverland there was no exculpatory evidence Sir we'll see what they do and I but she she did this she did this fundraising softball tournament in his memory I forget what home runs our dinners for Conrad or something like this she did it him Plainville where she lived and at some point some friends of the family got wind of it and said Hey maybe we think about doing that and matter please at so his family and friends that loved him and that you're sort of trying to help could be part of this thing and she said now there's about me and then she'd while literally texted the guy and said you're not trying to take credit away from me on this are you like and then put Haak at the end of it like and so then they showed up all of these the team that won it she apparently she requested I don't know she demanded but she she requested a picture with the winning team she put herself right in the middle of the team with this big beaming smile and then there were other pictures of her being lifted up by other teams that participated in the thing and now the whole point being that from the start this was all an attention grabber and I'm the victim here and people are gonna Love Me when they see what I do for my alleged boys I don't I don't wanna mitigate her responsibility that her parents have to have played a part in raising not only an awful kid in that I don't I don't I don't know how to do this type of crap I don't I don't know enough about that side and maybe we get into that a little bit for the night but I with that tonight I'm always a Lowe's to pain on parents there is some parental responsibility everything obviously but I kids are kids and kids got to be held responsible for what they do and she was certainly have an age she had just graduated high school the two of them did and named the Chino what she was doing and it's just unbelievable I I really and die I don't think enjoyed is the right word but I was shocked watching it so I didn't think I could be your default location TV and we'll see what tonight's spring so on a new subject Jeff deal are you boycotting home depot no no I'm not boycotting amber eyes don't freak with them because I get better discounts Lowe's that's that's my straight up answer which one do you are you do you do any of that stuff waffles home stuff yeah yes remember I fell to the stairs I know you don't own I he's a he's a renter so would you just call the landlord when you fall through the stairs usually right well the girl the landlord is a family member so you had to fix it yeah okay well I mean I haven't yeah you were supposed to fix I have we have the required parts but yeah but honestly how much duct tape he put on the step to keep from falling through a lot just lock it upside down usually if it's tall enough but I actually we finally got the dog to jump the three foot thing now so we're not in that much of a rush anymore to fix the stairs but we we will get to it eventually but no I'm I'm boycotting boycotting on people for much different reason than on any of the the donations or anything like that nine seven eight DB that softball fund raiser was really creepy I'm telling you you got us it was it was on believe that pictures were unbelievable I digress the reason why this is come up is you know Bernie Marcus is he was one of the co founders of home depot he's ninety years old now but Bernie Marcus was asked he lives in Georgia home depots Georgia based obviously Arthur blank Arthur blank home depot bones the Atlanta Falcons coed waffles get off your chest all you mean the guy that went down in the field yeah the only when I was in hand yeah that guy just remember him I remember no he's ninety now this guy Bernie Marcus and he was asked apparently by the I think is the Atlanta journal it interview what you know what he thinks of the twenty twenty election and he said yeah I know I'm going to contribute to trump I think trump doing great I love them Marcus had given out some money to trump in twenty sixteen and he's in our young all love amis are there some things he's gotten wrong but his businessman's common sense approach to most things I agree with don't agree with everything he's done I think it's communications been terrible there's certain things you shouldn't be doing but overall he likes the way the country is going he likes what trump has been doing and he's going to double down and he's going to contribute to his campaign again twenty twenty halfway as you say again the the key word is again because he supported trump back in twenty sixteen this isn't a surprise for Democrats that the guy would originally found at home depot supports the a Republican candidate in this case Donald Trump so right so so boycott so now we've got a boycott movement the second that that newspaper article hit we now have to boycott home depot even though the guy has an old home depot been involved at all he's retired and he's it's old he hasn't had a new home people for fifteen years reparations basically for his attitude towards Republicans for there is a hashtag boycott home depot movement going now in and they're trying to do this and it's gotten to the point where trump had to weigh in yesterday he said quote a truly great patriotic insurable man Bernie mark is the co founder of home depot what the age of ninety is coming under attack by the radical left Democrats with one of their often use weapons they don't want people to shop at those great stories great in all caps because he contributed to your favorite president me these people are vicious and totally craze but remember they are far more great people parentheses deplorable and parentheses in this country then bad due to them what they do do you fight for Bernie Marcus and home depot and tweet I'm trying to get my head around the fact that we basically live lives now hinging on what somebody to Diana Presley you know tweets have become sort of the news cycle for us nowadays that's it it's not it's not CNN it's not five it's a tweet from personality my question really is this do you know anybody who's participating in the boycott home depot saying I don't think any customer of home depot most most of them first of all are going to cut back on their home depot purchases in fact because they know he supports from I think a lot of them would only increase their their use of home depot knowing that well that's a second question knowing that they're trying to boycott home depot are you going to support home depot a little bit more now I guess you were lows falls on this thing before I mean so far is where anything and I don't think that we I try to we do what we can with the local there's a local hardware store nearest what it what what's ace doing nowadays no we do right away there's an ace so in Georgetown is George R. building supply we're older son hardware hardware and over over Sean is a little more room to we don't get out there is a much we try to support those put in so far as we do any of this we do go to home depot and this is just completely meaningless them it is nothing for us but what I what I guess what I'm asking in the end Jeff so number one you gonna go to home depot more or less as a result of the fact that one of their former one of the co founders is donating the trump how we reach that point now where were tired of the boycott movements are we getting there I want to boycott the boycott movement I'm sorry to follow that to the state I'm gonna follow your boycott boycotts I've asked this before have you ever not gone to a store or G. after fraud act because I increase my airlines more likely to do what you're doing not the red hand when they kicked out Serra Sanders I would never go into that right hand because of that so when they refuse service that's one thing but when somebody getting boycotted I'll go the other way and try to help them out and that's where I think six one seven two six six sixty eight sixty we'll take some calls on us when we come back are you gonna go to home depot last or you gonna go to home depot more as a result of the boycott home depot movement have you ever taking part in some one of these kind of boycotts and are we are we about done with the whole boycott thing is that I would live did usefulness not that it ever had any in the beginning anyway but let's kick around six one seven two six six sixty eight sixty eight your calls when we return right here in Yorktown.

"In early eighties when Georgia won the national championship when they played Notre Dame. Oh, yeah. I remember and Herschel Walker, I kind of followed his career little bit when he went into the New Jersey generals, I think it was. And then that book busted up and. Yep. And then FLU never really did a whole lot in the NFL, I I'm not really sure why. But so I was I was a. Herschel Walker fence. I had that affinity with Georgia before I moved here. Okay. Moving here, obviously became. Georgia bulldog. And then, then I have two daughters that graduated from UGA over the course of time living here. So we're season ticket holders. We go to the games. We love Georgia football. I've been to a game with him by the by and it was a great. It was. It was an awesome, awesome game. Why Georgia one, we played LSU and, and it was? I'm trying to remember who was quarterback that time. But Aaron Murray Aaron Murray when I never I'll never forget the memory, I can't get outta my head of the game. One of one of the crushing defeat. I think it was an overtime. And number two was in watching the yellow shoe offense play the future MVP of the Super Bowl. Oh, LSU wide receiver. Gosh, what's his name, New York Giants, they traded into Cleveland Browns kill his career who owed L back. So Beckham I remember watching a game but we were into sky box. So we, we had beautiful shot of the field. And if you've never been to a game in Georgia go. It's fun. I mean it's a beautiful beautiful state admit I remember watching it. Beckham never went to the huddle would be over. He just kind of stand there and look at them. I guess they were giving him hand signals. They just gotta go out there on his wing out there and stand out there. And sometimes they the ball to him. But it never went into hobby was always perplexed by the hell does Beckham what they're doing? But it was it was a fantastic game. The dogs beat us in overtime as it was. And it was so hot that good thing. We weren't as we because it was super hot. Now I'll say one more thing about it. Bulldog fans or awesome. We got a lot of high FIS we had our LSU jerseys on, you know, they taunted us a little bit after we lost and all that bulldog fans are awesome. I've also been to two games with him. Falcons fans you could just do that, right there. And just cut their head off, and let it roll falcons fans or the worst fans. I even told I told James, he goes, you ought to come on. Well, we'll take it to falcons game. I'd say not missed Colonel makes me sit amongst the plea in falcon fans. I'll go if you get me, okay? Boc mike. We went to Felker's game when the saints were in town, and you're complaining about the Felker's fans. Saints fans are awesome at home. Yes, they're not awesome. When they come to Atlanta, we were we were, we were polite. We were awesome fans. What are you talking about? So have you been to a game in Georgia in the Mercedes Benz dome? Yes, I went to the Super Bowl. And I was talking to James James is his his partners. Visit parter. I went to two games into Georgia Dome. I thought it was a perfectly functional space, nothing wrong with absolutely nothing wrong with it. But I guess we needed to sell three billion dollars worth of bonds for Arthur blank and ship. So he could buy another seven forty seven or whatever it is. Don't Arthur blank. Arthur blank blankets ship is blank. Arthur blank who is the principal owner or the chief of whatever the of the Atlanta Falcons. So, and then there's one more promotion that is done for ESP every year, and it was kind of talent contest pageant, but it's more like a talent contest. They think they call it a challenge. It's a it's called big hearts. It's every February. If it is amazing. It's it's in the classic center, which holds I think five thousand maybe a little over five thousand this event sells out. Every year it sells out, and it's the probably the biggest fundraiser for ESP and all of the all of this special ability, participants of all age groups participate in this. And so it is like a talent show Paget, but based on age group K, and then in between the talent they have a skit they do that. That lasts for the whole duration of the of the pageant. Okay. And every year, those different theme in this, this year's theme was the miracle and because they're major thrust right now is raising money, which I think they have it all raised to build an accessible baseball diamond for kids of all abilities, now, what's interesting about the baseball diamond is this whole thing is going to be made on a rubber. Yeah, thank you could go to ESP miracle league dot org. ESP miracle league dot org and they have a video their talks about it. And what studies have shown is when when kids if kids can play together special ability, kids, and then normal kids, if they can play together there is they make no distinction about abilities versus lack of abilities. But most playgrounds special needs children cannot participate because they lack the physical ability to play in the playground. So that creates a natural barrier that special needs kids are, are they can't use those normal equipment. But what they found is, if they can interact together, as children, there's no discrimination. They make no distinction between the, the normal kids and the kids that have. Unique needs. So part of what's going on with the miracle league baseball diamond. It is all rubberized. So kids in wheelchairs, kids on walkers can participate in play ball, but next to it is a special needs appropriate playground. That allows children of any ability to interact with each other. Right. And so it's creates an opportunity where brothers and sisters because usually a family that has a special needs child. There's other siblings that don't have any disabilities. Well, this allows the whole family to, to play together kids that are normal kids versus kids that have special abilities to interact together. Okay. And so it's a fabulous concept, there was actually one in Conyers, Georgia that was built sometime ago, maybe fifteen years ago, and it's had great success. And so ESP is bringing miracle league. To Athens Oconee area. And they wanna start construction, I believe, by the end of the year, we need a there should be an ESPN every community and I don't I think it's just a thing here in in Athens. Right. Far as I know it's the only organization like it in the country. But, but there has been efforts from people in other areas, who know about ESP to try to duplicate that another. So, and if you don't know ESP stands for extra special people, and when I learned about it just last year when the job of joy a peeps came and serve their coffee. Hey, what is this? What does this job of joy? And as soon as I got my first hugs, and all that, and I met Doug, and I looked at I was like, wow, this is incredible. There's something very special happening here in this area of Georgia. And now, folks, may I get if like a B so bowl, it's going to point something out. There's not an on. Anyone else or any other state, but we crusade channel last live radio station standing and the Mike church show on behalf of the Barrett, brief and all of us here are as proud as we could possibly be to be brought casting live from the state of Georgia that just told the pro infanticide world to do this, and is standing now where no other state was standing before for human life at the earliest possible stage that has an effect is a grace that goes with that. And it's it's not surprising for me to see something like an ESP here, just because what Georgia is doing. And you look across the southern part of part of the United States, I was telling you last night. Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi Louisiana. Oklahoma, Missouri Kentucky and a little bit further north West Virginia has just added an amendment to their constitution. They voted on it in, in November. That's actu- actually during the no it was during the mansion was up reelection added, a constitutional amendment, that basically says the state of the state of West Virginia. No public funds can ever be used for any abortion abortive procedure whatsoever. And it all happened because a woman who's an ex Pat from Venezuela ran ran for the West Virginia. Senate and was elected. And Patricia Rutgers or name and good Christian woman you'd like her. And she was a Bill that came up in front of the West Virginia legislature. And she said, wait a minute. How can we fund abortion? And somebody said, well, because the constitution doesn't say that we can't she goes, well, we need to fix that a year later. It's fixed. My point is, is something special that's happening here. Ray here, Nathen, Georgia, and in the state of Georgia. And in the deep south again, it's just very special to be part of it. My segment is over next segment. Guess what we're going to what's that? We're going to give that we've gotta give that car away. All right, David. Thank you very much, folks. Like I said, what we're gonna do tickets at the top next segment. So we're gonna do the tickets and we're gonna come back, and I've got my twenty. Already on the list. Don't go away because your chains to be in the final hopper drawing is coming up next, and then we're going to get the car away right here in the crusade channel, the last live radio station standing and yes, we are alive at bulldog, Kia. Most crusade channel, one of these only get the mission half. Freight men. About to embark on.

"Falco are the odds from two guys who know a good bet when they see one and seen a few of those good bets. Go back now. Now now now is cop only on ESPN one thousand picks coming up in a little bit through three weeks only had one loser. And it was close that was the Montana Michigan game to he's been red hot. He's got some pigs for you coming up. So do I we're talking a lot of tournament will do some MLB future stuff with the season starting tomorrow? Normally get us on Friday nights. Right after Waddle and Silvy starting at six o'clock, your any one thousand but just like last week run a little bit early. We have tournament games for you tomorrow and Friday. So that's why Ron tonight until seven o'clock next week everything goes back to normal on Fridays at six to get you set for the weekend. And this is always a fun time of year. Once we roll into the Sweet, Sixteen upsets, her funds Cinderella stories are Loyola with so much. On last year, Mike, but this is where you really want. The blue bloods, don't you want design Williamson's, you, you know, you want. Michigan state your one Kansas. Winston you want North Carolina. Hopefully, PJ Washington comes back and plays for Kentucky. Because this is where the basketball really starts to get good. I don't know who guys are whoever they are. I hope they do a fine job as you know. It means nothing to me. There are nothing about robots. I meet these kids. God bless them. All they help supply us and the mass in Chicago land with money, but when you named these guys PJ Williamson beat w Clark Jason mckie. I don't know. I just go. Give me the team. What team do I got? Sometimes I hear these guys for the first time. I've sometimes I hear who these guys are for the first time in my whole life, and I go what a player at the end of the game. You know? So that's just the way. I do it. That's just the way the system is. It's not conducive. What you all? They got LeBron or they got this guy or they got Durant. It I took that out of the equation emotional. Emotional baggage. I call for the handicapper you you wanna take the other team, but they have LeBron or they have this guy or curry or that guy. I don't I don't play into that. So I love what you named the names are entertaining and other people like it. But to me, it's not so becoming emotional needs. Something I appreciate it. So becoming emotionally attached to a player can be dangerous. That's basically what you're saying. Oh, famous for all of us losers out there that we're losing for years. I had a guy he coached the jets. I don't know. I I was a he wars hat backwards back into. They was Joe Walton. I couldn't stop betting the guy. I all we would do is loose for me. And you know, what there's other guys you latch onto. I mean, there's people that are still betting the bowls for God's sake. I know stink about that. Just because it's the bulls. Mike. Exactly, yeah. And so I think I know where you're going to go on this because you put so much into the system and it works for you. Like where let's start with the first game. This is. Name. But I'll tell you that this is so interesting because the first game to get things going tomorrow night is going to be Gonzaga, Florida state. It is a rematch of a game a year ago in which Florida's state upset Gonzaga by fifteen points and knocked him out of the tournament. Where does revenge start to come in as you handicapped, these games if at all? If you think about revenge, you'll lose if you let it come naturally. That's what I do. That's my philosophy. Don't get mad just do your due diligence. And revenge will come naturally, for instance. I'll tell you a great story guy. I was going to play basketball for guy. He had a team at Kosciusko park on the northwest side back in the day. I played for him for three years we came in. But we came at joy he got a couple of the guards. And it took me and another guy, and he said, listen if you guys want to play you're going to be coming off the bench. I said, you know, you're telling me two weeks before the season starts, and he says, well, that's just the way it goes. I said you didn't want me to a Cup with another team. Eagles. It's not dead Eichel fight. So I didn't play that year. I got a team together to next year beat them twice beat them in the playoffs and won three straight years. I took my time revenge came naturally, I could've overreacted and played with them. Then bitter and stuff like that. So that's that's a lesson. Take your time. Your day will come even an anti-catholic. We might lose six in a row and eight us carbon. But if they leave us don't never regret it. Yeah. That's interesting. What are you? Don't even know if I answered your quite well. You kind of did. I mean, if you let it I see what you're saying about just letting it come natural. Like, there's always like that. I think it's rooted somewhere, especially in in the college level like for me. I always try to look at that. And big college football games when you know, maybe a team got upset. At home or something they go the next year they have to play on the road. Whether it's one of these big out of conference games or a conference game where you wonder how much motivation a player draws from the revenge factor. How much a coach sort of plays it up that week preparation. Let's talk about Michigan Ohio state in football. Right. I mean what's been going on there? I mean one team's been dominating the other the other team would seek revenge and it hasn't happened. No. And they want to win more than anybody. How about Green Bay? You know with with the bears back back in the seventies. Or or back in the sixties the bears wanted revenge every time they played them. They only wanted sixty three. So I think the revenge might say is dangerous mindset. I think sooner or later you'll catch up. Does it happen as quickly as for the bears back in eighty four when? Bill wash wrandell guy McIntyre up the middle Ditka. The very next year random fridge up the middle, and stuck it up as you know, what? Sometimes it comes quick. But you know, what if you're a winner you don't forget. So that dickens aga- Florida state stadiums. Interesting. I gotta admit that. I'm more impressed than I thought I would be with Florida state after last weekend, and maybe we should see in this common. The Seminoles have won sixteen of eighteen with the only two losses being at North Carolina into Duke in the ACC tournament. They beat three ranked teams in that span, including tech twice and Virginia. So what do you think about Florida state? If you have an opinion at all were you in. Impressed with Gonzaga. I beat them. I think they're going to beat them. I wouldn't make it as one of my picks. Yeah. But I think that if I had to make a pit see sometimes you say to yourself if you're going to watch just watch the game. And you're up about you know, let's say you're up a dukes. Let's say you're up to three hundred let's say you're up four hundred you know, put fifty put one hundred on Gonzaga. That's what I would do. That's what I think Gonzaga is heads and tails up of Florida state. I think at Florida state though is a tournament tested team. They got a lot of blank, Arthur. Underrated. But now, I think I think the trip Pence for also tomorrow, you told us of the man Mooney story at Texas Tech, red raiders, Tim complain they can play some defense Texas Tech in Michigan. Arguably the two best defense in the country squaring off tomorrow night. And I have Texas Tech coming out of that side coming out of that region. They're a good team. Aren't they? Can I give you counter? Yes. Pleasant counter. It's going to be first of all you're right, one twenty six was the over and under. So they they have the number one ranked talk about Michigan and Texas Tech for defensive ratio there one until the whole country. So really score should be like thirty three to thirty two. Right now, make it, you know. It will look like a first quarter in the NBA to thirty. Joel. Right. But I, but but basically, I think that it could go over. But if I was going to take the game, I gotta tell ya. And I love it. I take Michigan. Yeah. There's something about him. I told you last week. I said, you know, Michigan. They're not a team that runs away vastly overrated offer to leave exactly one way the first two weeks. I'm telling you, you're right. There's something about big tournament games. And you think about their success in the big ten tournament. The last couple of years came up short obviously this year. But they've made these deep runs they've been to the final four they were in the championship game. There's something about beeline his ability to coach them in the way, they play where you are. Right. They are in their small favorite. There are one and a half point favorite. But they are just you feel like they're they're never out of it. And when they have to cover a small number. That's when they're really good peeler beeline. Looks like a sheriff from western town in the eighteenth sixty does he does the mustache or or civil war veteran? That's been given the Michigan job, right? That's thanks. But you're right. I wish you get. I liked mich-. Look, I think it's going to be the chalk don't forget that the ladder. The dogs won the first like Thursday. Thursday Friday, like you said, and that's usually the way it goes some years they'll trip. Yup. And a lot of favorites will win believe me when I tell you this the house sets the line they're gonna they're gonna get you sooner or later unless you listen to some guy asked me today. What do you think about such such a game? I go listen tonight. Right. Six to seven open me into that bow you'll find out tonight, by the way that Texas Tech Michigan line at that number that total at one twenty six I got one for you tomorrow that is seven points. Lower the Oregon Virginia total is one nineteen. You talk about teams that might struggle to get to one hundred might be those two teams. Well, this is one of my games. Should we should we do it? Now, you want to save it. Let's wait. Let's let's say let's say let's carry them through the half an hour network. Yeah. Walter Cronkite, took me aside as a child, it's a here's what you Do Son in Iran. Let's save Mike's picks coming up. My pick says, well, I got a feeling on that game. We've got other Friday matchups to talk about here a little bit. As we roll into the Sweet Sixteen. We'll do some baseball twenty nine thousand nine preview some futures. In some props stuff. I want to throw it, Mike. We are the odds couple normally you get us on Fridays Ron early because we got turnament games tomorrow. Every Friday sixty seven I'm at belco on Twitter. Mike is at north. It's the odds. Couple on ESPN one thousand. The odds. Couple everything you need to know about the world of sports betting from two guys who beaten spread off it might north Carmen to.

"A penny to dance? His sorry franchise. Stand up to the BS Broncos are joke in straight slap in the face to the fans Steve g because we have a Steve, gene. We have a Steve waiting on the text line. Steve why don't they lower their price since the product is lower quality. That would make more sense. I shows no consideration for the fan. Don't care. What percent? It is. Jimmy says Arthur blank Arthur blank lowers ticket prices and concession prices in Atlanta. Nobody goes to those games. That's why. People are going to Broncos games, regardless of they play. That's true. And the fans should be rewarded by not having ticket price increase or have the last four years. The last two years they kept the price of the same. This is the first time in three years they've raised them. Yeah. The last time they raised the prices. They won the Super Bowl. Yeah. How much did they raise them probably not that much because in the last five years they've only raised them five percent. But that, but that's the point you can raise you can raise it one. If they raise it the same amount three years ago. We people are willing to pay it because it is a it's okay. Because they they return the investment you're going to watch a Super Bowl champion football team next year. Okay. It's worth paying an extra few bucks. This team has have backed back losing seasons for the first time since Pat bolan has taken over ownership of this team. And they're asking you for the same price. Like, it doesn't make any sense. You don't raise prices when you are a worse product. Hey kaufman. I rather buy a case of the moms than a Broncos ticket at least the mumps or more pleasant than Broncos gain. So and then Grady says again blinks got it right Bronco fans. Need to go on strike. Jimmy says it's really expensive one hundred ninety dollars per ticket for field level seats. So insane. It's a ridiculous amount of money to go to an NFL game for overall. Yeah. Not even the non even the Broncos take every team did chiefs. The patriots everybody. It is a worse atmosphere to go to a stadium. Then to watch it at home. Yet. It takes a ton of money. Of course, a lot of a lot of people think that you you and your family are rich, would you confirm or deny that we are not okay. So you don't need to do the silver spoon tax or anything. Like that wheels in his family were. We want our money to go. Right. They're just prioritizing. By the way, the chiefs were the bodily last year as far as ticket average. Ticket price. Yeah. Because Arrowhead stadium. Excuse me for saying it fell. She's fans thought. Yeah. Yeah. Great. It's not great experience. It's old by far the most expensive the patriots, right, which which makes sense does. That's. But here's here's what's interesting. Sixth in the league and seventh of the league Jacksonville and Tennessee as far as most expensive Jacksonville is one of the most expensive tickets in the league. And they wonder why their stadium is have full all the time. Why? Packer fans have to freeze their butts off game, but they have expensive tickets the Seahawks over the last time they were relevant. I mean. Yeah, they're still a relevant. But right there. For them to be second in the league. Yeah, I'm not. But I'm not saying that their. Well, why are the Broncos fourth most expensive? This is this was this past season, or is this resale value? No average price. Yeah. So what are they saying middle of the pack. The fourth most expensive ticket in the NFL. I think what they're saying is is the average ticket price of the NFL is going up. So they're going to go up as well is what they're saying. Now. I mean, it just makes it so much worse because they. There's such a combative organization like they just they just hate. To be criticized, and they you know. It just they just have such a sense of entitlement because of how spoiled they've been through thick and thin. Broncos fans have been there. I fight with you Broncos fans twice a year, and I loathe many of you by. I guy Hannity you guys are dedicated and. Your reward is that they make you pay more for an inferior product Jenner taken away parking. That's the other thing what they're making us pay more and they're taking with parking. Tearing up half the parking on the on the south side. His they're helping redevelop that part of town. They're going to help redevelop and they're taking away parking for it. Awesome. Because that's where we park when I go to games. Here's. Here's. Here's kind of a different take houses. I don't feel bad for the season ticket holders going up. It's the overpriced tickets that the season ticket holder pass onto the people that buy tickets from them. Yeah. And that is that's a problem too. In the NFL is trying to fix that with the ticket exchange by now. It's Har it's hard to. It's still very tough to regulate things when I can post on my Facebook that I got tickets to the Bronx Bronco game on Sunday and who wants to pay double face value. Yeah. But the NFL's trying. Good job because I've gone on the secondary market, and it's very expensive even the ticket exchange. Yeah. But I mean, it's still expensive. Now, I don't know. No why right because the NFL should make you pay face value. Because if they're trying because all they're all the NFL is doing with the ticket exchange, if they're not normalizing the prize is they just want that extra money that you're going to pay a scalper, and they're being scalpers, which doesn't make sense. I know one thing P people don't realize I think when they go on the secondary market. And especially with the Broncos is the tickets are different prices. It's not one consistent price throughout the through. Right. They cut down the price of the divisional games. Don't they? I think those are more expensive. Depends on the opponent. So like the raiders will probably be lower than the chiefs and the patriots are going to be very expensive. Right. It's going to depend on what the demand is for the ticket. Couple more of your tax. Did you take into consideration the raising of the minimum wage? What? No, no. I mean. Mike brings up a point. That's the thing. But again, we're talking about a two point five billion dollar franchise here. Like, I get it. I go to the subway in the mall at Chapel Hill mall, and there's a sign that says we don't take coupons anymore because we have to pay higher minimum wage, and I am a person that is for the raising of minimum wage. I am so, but as a small business owner that gentleman or lady whoever owns that has the right to do that. Because I think it's a small measure to make sure that they do pay their workers a fair wage or whatever minimum wages, but also not a pass on a price increase to the customer. So that's fine. But that subway makes X number of dollars. The Denver Broncos. Again, are all almost all sports franchises are printing money. They're like mints. They just admits at the bottom of the stadium where they print money. You realize when they say the business is worth X amount of dollars. That's not the money that an owner sitting. No, I know goes back into the business now not necessarily. Yes. It does not necessarily does it have to because I I I was looking earlier because. We'll talk about later. The giants look like they're gonna try to offer Bryce Harper of a rich but short term deal, and I looked at the Rockies because they say can they actually afford to take on Bryce Harper for twenty six million dollars like they're playing no pay Nolan to try again. The rockies. I may even have this rent down their revenue is like double. What their pain like in terms of payroll and things like that stadium up keep the people that the vendors? The field people. There's there's more than just a salary that they pay. They pay a lot of things into a lot of things. Not all places have to pay stadium upkeep. The Broncos do. You can't tell you that the Broncos are operating at zero or in the red. No, we know that. But but to sit there and say all they have two billion dollars that they can there were two and a half billion dollars. They can cash out if they want they can cash out if they want and they never have to worry about the raising of the minimum wage ever again. They could just take their two and a half billion dollars and live comfortably for the rest of their lives. I know they're not making two and a half billion dollars by. I'm just saying my my heart does not break for businesses that are worth billions of dollars. They just doesn't. I'm not. I don't worship success like some people do like some if you're if you're Amazon, or if you're WalMart that we should all bow to you. Because you were able to take advantage of you know. Low hourly wage employee es and jacked up, you know, make your goods over in Taiwan and bring them over here and sell them for like, I don't worship people that take advantage of of things in order to make a lot of money. So if they don't like it, I just like you're saying if people don't like the Broncos increase in ticket prices, they don't have to pay it. If the Broncos don't like that minimum wage is going up or whatever their reasoning because they haven't given a solid reason why the raising ticket prices, then they can cash out and get some the next billionaire to come in and worry about all that stuff. I don't I don't feel bad for him. I side with the fans on this two eight six zero zero four six some of you upbringing up ticket prices to af the AFC for only twenty bucks. I'll tell you why that is a rip off coming up next on extra. Sports thirteen hundred. Here's an Xtra sports look at the streets. Southbound south.

"Three FM news and talk powered by the Pacific northwest. It is the candy Mike can touch on Todd Herman's candy Harper over there. Mike loose over here. Super Bowl came in weather. I guess we're supposed to say the bowl super lawyers knocking on the door with copper at problems. We're going to dig into that just coming up right after that. We'll get to the losers. Well, not the losers because y'all aren't losers? You your stories didn't do as well. And the choose your news category. You're forgetting the alternative due to the name. We're not supposed to say for that big sporting event of the big game. No, no, no, no this superb. Owl. That actually ends up as the second most searched on the internet on that day is people mistake on the space. Yeah. And they put in superb owl. And so there's whole websites now devoted to superb. Owls, okay. Because we can't be sued on that. Let's we trademark xactly superb. Al was boring. Yes. Much of a bird. You guys you guys are all the dictated to the new football where it's all about the offense and a score on every other play. It was a defensive extravaganza. It was a battle of the big men. It was a battle of blocking. What are the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game? And if you can't appreciate that from a tactical perspective, then take it from a guy who didn't I didn't watch the game. You know, what guys? I didn't watch the games review the game. Everyone played like they didn't want to go to the White House. If they won see why are you to bring your own? Why you gotta bring the politics. What I say. Extremists. You have to bring the politics into this. I don't think I don't think the patriots didn't want to win the LA times. Headline was great. You see that? It was it was patriots thirteen. Maroon five grams three. Well, if all the people I got to believe the people got to be the most upset about this because they were absolutely ripped off. So they had a whole series of things they did they had alternatives to the Super Bowl. They got together for Super Bowl watching parties. But it was the one the New Orleans Saints were in I love the bitterness. I love embracing the dark side in this. Secondly, they just flat got screwed. And everybody knows it everyday. Who's watched that play where the Rams player committed an obvious case of pass interference. They got screwed. But I think that people in Atlanta took a bath. So the older of the stadium there this guy who's a and God love going out and getting rich is name is Arthur blank Arthur blank. He he's going to take in all the revenues. He and his bankers are going to take an all the revenues from the people going in and out of the stadium. Even though the stadium is supposedly the tax payers own the stadium. They get they get bupkus. This is this is again. In that whole anyone who was against publicly financed stadiums. The you already against what we're going to tell you this is gonna come as no surprise to you and Arthur blank, if you don't know who he is. He's a co founder of Home Depot, and he's worth in the neighborhood in roundabouts five billion dollars the stadium deal. Atlanta is known for some of the worst stadium deals in America. The new baseball stadium is was was practically criminal this stadium, essentially routes all of the revenue of these big events back to the owners and not to the city, and it was partially two hundred million dollars a publicly financed public financing went into this that they are not going to get paid back for by hosting the Super Bowl. And this is where they got the Super Bowl because it was a new stadium. I can't stand completely agree taxpayer-funded things. But if you gotta do them play the smart game gopher equity give me a chunk of the team. There you go. Give me right Morris or measure of the proceeds. Although if you go back far enough in history. This is a. Esley why we got the city of Seattle gotten the dispute with Howard Schatz was was the whole notion of how much revenue the state that the stadium generates should go back to the oh, forget the revenue take a chunk of the team take Chuck in the equity. Of course, the other equity was the spots that played and because they didn't watch the game. I was busy in prayer. And with friends, and I read a couple of novels figured out some math problems, really working on. Yeah. Did you didn't do? Yes. I did not do any of the don't tell me. I didn't sit and pray on talk the best in the worst. Yeah. And then I'm curious why people are all upset about the t mobile ads because they use cliches. This is more the stereotypes in that one. But yeah, all right. So Jason Bateman the I remember him. He used to be on the TV. He was an elevator operator in Hyundai's. What you say superb owl? Taking people the floors were only bad things.
